Best Western Plus Hotel Franciscan Square Inn and Suites Steubenville, Steubenville

This place was clean and all the staff except the lady serving breakfast made us feel at home. The price for the king size bed room was a little high in my opinion. There's not really much to do in the area.

I understand that COVID-19 restrictions and the lack of employees is affecting the travel business immensely, but hotels should try to make up for the inconvenience that their guests have to put up with after having to pay higher prices for their rooms. We at least deserve to be TOLD, during check-in, that we need to request our rooms be cleaned daily or that clean towels be provided. This used to be a very good hotel, but their cleaning standards have been lowered, their carpets are soiled and stained and the rooms show evidence of neglect. We will consider options for our stay next time we visit Steubenville.

The hotel is very convenient to Franciscan U--easy access, quick check-in and check-out. Nice size rooms, beds are a little loud but comfy, staff was awesome. Halls remained quiet throughout the day and night. Easy access to two restaurants as well in the same parking lot.

Excellent experience. Beautiful hotel with a friendly & helpful staff. We have stayed here multiple times and visit the area often for college & family visits. It is the best hotel in town and we have never been disappointed.

Each time we come to Steubenville we are treated with respect and kindness. Richard and his staff are second to none. If you have special needs they always try to find ways to accommodate I wish all the hotels we stay at are 1/2 that of this property

Nicely appointed hotel and rooms. We had a large suite with a nice sink and fridge. Helpful on days when each of us need to accomplish different tasks. The only downside (which for me is a big one) is the poor outlet placement. No outlets available on one side of the bed. Needed to crawl under the desk to access the outlets there. However, the desk had a nice worktable that pulled out. Two TVs. Pool open. Restaurants in the same complex.

Great location and amenities. Walk across the circle to restaurants; everything you need at your fingertips! Also great conversation area with fire pit that adjoins the hotel for friends to gather and converse.

My husband and I came down to stay just 1 night for a last minute get away. We were upgraded to a larger room when we arrived, and offered a soda or water upon check in. There are places to eat with in walking distance right across the street. Grab and go breakfast was ok, but with everything going on very understandable. Check in was easy, and check out was even faster. There is a fireplace out side that they will turn on for you if you ask. There is also a grill if you want to cook outside. The indoor pool was clean and nice and empty every time we went down. We will stay again if we are in the area.

Location and staff were great. Rooms are overall clean but carpets are stained and dirty. Bathrooms were overall clean but showers do have meldew in the calking. Shower door has open concept so water does get on bathroom floor. This location was selected for convenience. Pool was indoor and great for families during bad weather. Indoor gym was high quality and provided many options. Mattress in queen was noisy and uncomfortable. Had better luck with King bed when we changed our room due to bad smell in double queen.

We were dropping off my Goddaughter at Feanciscan University. This was not only a convenient hotel (right across from the campus) but the staff was very friendly, the hotel was exceptionally clean and it was very comfortable. I would definately stay here again.

Stayed for one night we could not get the tv to work which in the end ok we got our phones. But when I come to get more towels and was told no I'd have to wait in the morning like seriously. The A/C did not work in the room so it was very muggy in there. Maybe if you stay more than one night they will prioritize you .

Nice place, several restaurants within walking distance. Room was decent size. Breakfast was grab and go. View was beautiful in the dawn at the one side, Large chess board , connect four and other games across the ally,

I stayed at this hotel on July 2nd, and there were no towels in the room. None. We called the front desk, and they said they were on back order, and with a baseball staying at the hotel, we would not be getting any. No towels. We had just bicycled 55 in the heat and humidity to get to the hotel, everyone sweaty, and there were no towels to shower. Four calls to the front desk over 90 minutes, and finally at 1am they brought one per room. $200 per room (I reserved two) for one towel each. And the staff was not sympathetic at all - it is what it is. Very disappointed that a major hotel chain could operate like this, and not what you would expect spending that kind of money.

This hotel was close to a family event we attended over the 4th of July holiday. The check-in was super easy and smooth. Room was clean and nice. Gym was a typical basic stocked facility for a hotel. Pool looked nice but we didn't end up using it. They sent me a welcome text offering and when I responded asking for bedding for the pullout sofa, someone knocked on the door 2 minutes later with the bedding. I was very impressed by the quick and friendly service. The breakfast was decent based on covid changes, you could request from a staff person a premade breakfast sandwich, cereal, wrapped pastries, yogurt, or oatmeal. Juice and coffee was self serve.

I write reviews only when my experience has been extremely pleasant or unpleasant. This hotel made quite an unpleasant impression and staff was totally indifferent. Pros: Hotel located in quiet area. Room had good lighting. Cons: At checkin, I waited several minutes for front desk attendant to finish her phone conversation before being acknowledged. She offered no info about breakfast options, parking, etc. At checkout, front desk attendant kept his eyes on his computer screen, although I was right in front of him and the only person at the counter. He never looked at me or thanked me for staying. I finally placed my keys on the counter and left. Bed mattress in Room 310 had deep depression on one side and sagged terribly. Bathroom floor had several dirty, sticky spots. I will never stay here again.

My husband and I just spent five nights in mid May and we truly enjoyed our stay. Clean, friendly staff & great restaurants on the same property. I highly recommend Bennigans. The fireplace area is wonderful.

I appreciate the reasonable and friendly attitude of all the hotel staff. The room was very neat and roomy. I wish the continental breakfast would go back to normal as it used to be very good. They accommodated me with a room with last minute reservation.

Upon check in the manager was pleasant explaining things about the hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. I received text messages making sure things were going well questioning if I needed anything. I chose this hotel as breakfast was still served and by friendly staff. Your options included two different hot breakfast sandwiches and fruit and coffee put into a paper bag with a bottle of water. Check out was easy with another friendly manager. The only thing I noticed was in the stairwell on the parking lot side of the hotel was the edge of one of the steps was coming off which could be hazardous.

Traveling overnight during these COVID times requires a nice place to stay since the usual nighttime activities (late dining, live music, downtown walking) is curtailed, so we end up in our hotel room with carryout dinner, perhaps watching a movie, in a comfortable setting. This place fits the bill just fine. The lobby is clean, the front desk sporting a plexiglass shield. Elevators are restricted to one party at a time. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. No hot food breakfast bar available, but we were happy with the bag breakfast for which you may select a heated breakfast sandwich, fruit (4 choices), and yogurt, and coffee. In better times, the location of this hotel lends itself to convenient restaurant choices across the parking lot. All were open, but the biggest restaurant was pretty crowded inside and out, and the others had limited hours. Still, if we come back this way in the future, we would stay here.

A very satisfying stay. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful on everything as well. There are very close local eateries where you don't have to even get back in the car to travel to.

this stay was pleasant and quiet clean front desk was very pleasant kept in touch to see if I needed anything was able to give me late check-out overall state was good they had restaurants across from the hotel which was convenient I saw a ice skating ring if someone likes to skate

Hotel was very nice. Clean. Breakfast was good but lady handing them out was kind of mean didn't want to give up any of the foods. Beds where clean and rooms where nice. Tv in the original room we stayed in would not pickup channels but front desk changed our rooms overall good hotel

The Best Western Plus Franciscan Square Inn & Suites in Steubenville is by far the most pleasant hotel I have had the pleasure to stay in. The hotel staff is very friendly and goes out of there way to make your stay perfect. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The breakfast menu is quite good, even with COVID going on. I never hesitate to stay here when in Steubenville. You'll love it!

This hotel is conveniently located across the street from Franciscan University. Has a nice pizza and bagel shop across the parking lot and a Benningan's. The covid breakfast will do in a pinch. The indoor pool is nice too!

It was a wonderful experience! I would definitely recommend Best Western Plus Franciscan Inn & Suites Steubenville! Traveling during Covid can be a challenge but Best Western made this part of the trip very enjoyable.

The entire staff was welcoming and very accommodating. Our group was in town for a wedding and the hotel had a great location close to good places to eat. Clean rooms, nice lobby with enough room to meet our group with safe distancing.

All the amenities are there. In addition the service is quite good, and it was quiet to boot [at least the weekend I was there]. Plus restaurants arevconveniently located. Closest hotel to Franciscan University.

Staff was courteous and friendly. Appeared to be going the extra step in providing a clean, sanitized and safe environment in accordance with Covid guidelines. Comfortable bed and pillows. Room and bath were clean however there were stains on the carpet in the room.

Absolutely enjoyed my stay while visiting my niece at Franciscan University. It is directly across the street from the University. The community and staff was just the nicest people. The room and the hotel were immaculate . The to go breakfast was a great idea to have for those in a hurry. Healthy options were available for both hot and cold breakfast.

I I flew in through Pittsburgh to attend my niece's wedding in Steubenville. She was married in the Jesus Christ the king Chapel at the wonderful Franciscan University. I was present in 2017 for my niece's graduation from Franciscan University. The same ambience of deep community, love of God, and deep faith of all the staff, and students is still there.

nice newer motel, nice location, nice staff, very nice restaurant across parking lot. Was a bit much for my purpose but i do like BW motels for the most part plus being a rewards member helps. i am a rewards member for another hotel chain (which i was on my way to when i passed this one)..................................................................................................................................

I have traveled to over 30 countries in my lifetime and this is without a doubt the best value I have ever experienced. The staff was delightful and the bed was the best, better then my bed at home. Even under the COVID 19 impacts the breakfast was great.

Wonderful people working the front desk. Kind and friendly and VERY efficient. They explained the troubles concerning the virus and explained how they were doing the best they could under the guidelines. It is nice to be remembered from last year and were even concerned about my recovery from surgery. It is like visiting friends to check into this hotel again.

The Franciscan Inn is may favorite place to stay in Steubenville. The hotel is very attractive and clean. The location is great when we visit Franciscan University. Great restaurants right outside the hotel. Pizza place is fantastic. There is a nice fire pit outside the hotel for guests too.

The hotel is very nice looking, but the amenities are pretty average and the price is high. We did not have another option while we were visiting the local university but I was disappointed in how much money we spent for pretty average accommodations. We also stayed in the same hallway as a lacrosse team who is pretty loud at night. Can't blame them because they are in college, but it made for tough sleeping for us and we ended up having to use a noisemaker on my phone, while still getting a poor night sleep. Very clean and the staff was nice if not super helpful.

This is a clean, updated, comfortable and well-located hotel. The staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The breakfast choices were good, and replenished continually. We did not have the experience of noise from other rooms mentioned by another reviewer. There are a couple of restaurants right across the parking lot form the main entrance. Highly recommend if you will be in the area.

The Best Western Steubenville is the newest, nicest hotel for visitors to Franciscan University. The hotel is beautifully decorated with spacious and clean rooms and a friendly staff. There are at least 3 restaurants right outside the front doors which makes it convenient to have a great meal (and of course breakfast is delicious and included with your hotel stay).

If you like noise, this is the hotel for you. There is little to no insulation between the walls and you can hear EVERYTHING (including housekeeping cleaning other rooms)! Breakfast food is adequate but the breakfast staff is excellent!

Stayed here for 3 nights for a tour group in the area. I am the driver and I go a lot of places. This hotel was very nice as long as you got one of the newly renovated rooms! Some of our groups rooms were not! The hotel has a great location and has a couple restaurants right in the parking lot. Bath and bedding were very good. Would highly recommend to guests visiting the area and especially the college that is across the street.

Needed a little time away so I booked a room at the Best Western in Steubenville. The hotel was lovely, the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom extremely clean. The amenities looked to be in good order, however I didn't use the fitness room or the pool. The hotel is located next to 3 dining establishments, so grabbing a bite to eat was convenient. Overall, a great place to stay in the Steubenville area, especially in the winter months when the Nutcracker Festival is going on.

Stayed for just one night to be in town for an event. My daughter and two children accompanied me. We had a wonderful stay. Kids loved the pool. All aspects of property well maintained. Great breakfast selections.

If visiting Franciscan University this is the best place to stay since it is right across the street. Even though we arrived at 1 am the lady at the check in took the time and gave us the Franciscan University rate.

The Staff was great. The Location is nice. On the property there is Bennigan's Restaurant (Excellent/Good prices), a Pizza/Sub shop, an outdoor event area (there was a bunch of inflatable slides/bounce houses/activities for children, when we were there. They have a local shuttle type service, but not available on Sunday. But there is no shuttle type service to the Pittsburgh Airport. The FREE breakfast is excellent. "VICKI" will take care of everything!

We usually stay at Marriott properties but after staying one night at The Inn in Steubenville Ohio, I would definitely book at this hotel again. The lobby and rooms have lovely pictures. The decor is pleasing to the eye. Cleanliness appears to be a priority.We felt very comfortable at the Inn.

I always stay at Best Western Plus whenever I am in Steubenville. The staff are always concerned about your comfort, are very helpful and friendly. The indoor pool is a plus and towels are always on hand for your use. There are restaurants in close proximity to the hotel- Bennigans, Rubi's pizza, a bagel shop to name a few. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

Good location, clean room, high quality and fast service. The prize is reasonable, the breakfasts is good. I will probably come again in the nearest future and recommend this hotel for everybody who will come to Ohio.

The title of this review encapsulates why I enjoyed my stay at this Best Western hotel. I attended a conference at Franciscan University of Steubenville (Ohio) and found the hotel convenient to the university (across University Boulevard). Only on entering the site did I see how spectacular the accommodations are. While the breakfast could be improved with bacon and red potatoes (thank God the hotel does not offer that horrid Starbucks coffee!), this minor criticism does not detract from the overall positive experience.

The hotel can not make up their mind as to what they want to be, it is a newer hotel, but catering to the Oil and Gas field workers leaves a oder, because the live there. Not the cleanest of guest. Because they have plenty of money, the hotel charges a steep rate for the area. $144.00 to $164.00. either cater to the University or become a oil and gas, mud on the shoes extended stay motel.

First time staying at Best Western and was very impressed. Rooms were decent sized and very clean. Bathrooms were clean and layed out well. Staff was helpful. Good location. Will definitely stay here again.

It's a shame, because the hotel is lovely in so many respects. But, being owned apparently by the Catholic university across the street, they apparently believe it's appropriate to place extremist-catholic the literature in the room, mocking those not part of the heteronormative mainstream. I pay money for this crap in my room? No thank you...

Great hotel just wish it was cheaper. The room and hotel smell very good clean. The elevators were even clean. Staff is very nice and helpful. The walls are thin though I could hear everything even conversations across the hall and they were in their room. Luckily the baby stopped crying by the time I got back to go to bed.

My daughter and I spent her 16th birthday with some friends here. It is a very clean, friendly, accommodating place. The staff was very friendly and quick to respond to any need we had. The staff is also very informative of the area. I was not crazy with the shampoo (which I had to use because I forgot mine), and management swiftly sent a message to the Head of Housekeeping to check the reason I did not like it. They Aim To Please their customers. We will definitely stay here again abd before we stay anywhere else. Kudos to the staff.

We never have a problem when we call the hotel directly and book our rooms. The management is very helpful and friendly. When you come back you are coming back to see friends. Location to campus is perfect, you could walk up the hill. Clean rooms and facilities. Good warm breakfast each morning. Lots of spaces to gather and chat with friends as well. Rooms are spacious and welcoming. Great touches with pictures from Franciscan University in the rooms and hallways.

We arrived for a funeral for my mother-in-law. Tim at the front desk warmly greeted us and checked us in early so we could rest and meet with family also staying at the hotel. Thank you Tim. Clean, big rooms, quiet area. Great free breakfast. Very nice staff. Building is new & modern. Has laundry room. Bennigan's next door. Will definately return & take time to use their pool. The Franciscan University is right across the street.

The Best Western at Steubenville is the newest and nicest hotel to stay in when visiting Franciscan University or for any other reason to be in the area. The hotel is decorated beautifully, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, especially the beds, the breakfast area is great, the exercise room and pool are wonderful, and the staff is so helpful and friendly! It is the only hotel we stay in when visiting our daughter!!

This is my second stay in two years at this property. It is really well managed. The grounds and common areas are spotless. Great restaurant choices without leaving the parking lot. There is a Bennigans, a pizza place, and a bagel place - all good! The hotel has a small indoor pool, exercise room, outside seating with fire pit. The rooms are stylish, the beds are comfortable, and the shower is strong. Just an A+ all around!

So much has changed in this town! There was a time the hotels did not even have elevators. Now, here is the Best Western with a beautiful building, elegant rooms, a cheery and helpful staff and all for what a reasonable rate! Things are changing for the better!

Staff at check in and out was horrible breakfast was horrible when reported my complaints staff acted like they did not care at all very noisey at night to even sleep deff need to get better staff for front desk will not be returning

Great hotel, great price, friendly staff! Came in for a wedding and was pleasantly surprised that this was a Best Western and was so nice! Had a free breakfast but hotel is also across the street from a bagel place and a restaurant which was very convenient.

Very clean and well kept, great customer service, and full breakfast with plenty of options . Pool was smaller than I expected from viewing pictures but definitely not a deal breaker. Nicer fitness room than most I've seen. Over all, this was a great stay. If I ever travel in this area again I will definitely be staying with these folks!

Beautiful hotel - we were in town for a family funeral and had initially reserved one night, but our suite was so relaxing that I requested a second night just to wind down. I just wish dogs were permitted - we prefer to travel with ours.

This was a return business trip to this hotel. The staff are friendly and accommodating, the room is fairly clean and the bed was the most comfortable of any hotel that I have stayed in. Overall its in a quiet location and if I need a hotel in this area again this will be my first choice.

Clean hotel, staff friendly, although sheets were itchy and pillows were hard. requested quiet location at booking and check in. Please in middle of hotel on middle floor. Heard noise all night long:(

The Best Western Franciscan is a relatively new addition to the options in Steubenville, OH. We have stayed there several times prior to our most recent visit and have been very satisfied. The staff are very nice; the rooms are spacious and clean. With the opening of the Bennigan's right across the drive, we recommend the facility very highly.

With our daughter attending college in town we've had to stay overnight about a dozen times so far. We have previously stayed at a different hotel, but decided to try Best Western Plus and we are so happy we did! This is the best hotel in Steubenville. Great rooms, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Located near three restaurants and very close to the college.Hotel and rooms are in excellent condition with a very nice indoor pool. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

This was our second time in the last 4 months staying there. Both times have been really nice. Everything from the parking lot to the rooms are super clean. Beautiful rooms and lobby, friendly staff. We have been staying in the Steubenville area for the past 14 years at least twice a year. It is nice to see a new hotel come to the area. Prices in the area can be excessive at times and I think low competition is to blame. So far both trips here have been at a reasonable price for what others in the area from Weirton to Saint Clairsville, Wheeling to Steubenville charge. We have stayed in both a King and a Double bed suite and both are very nice and modern. Give it a try on your next trip you won't be disappointed at all. Thank you

We were in the area visiting family and we wanted to stay here when we came last time, but it wasn't open yet. We stayed here this to try it out. Very clean rooms, and very friendly staff, and great pricing. We needed an extra blanket and a few extra towels for the night, and Joe took great care of us making sure we were doing okay.

I rolled into this location, tired and weary after several travel delays; having made an advanced reservation I was hopeful all would be as advertised. It was a newer location (2 years) with the friendliest staff and amenities as featured. The bed was comfy and the shower great (okay it's a shower - right?) - the water was hot and plentiful with a slightly modern twist. After a good nights sleep, I enjoyed a continental PLUS breakfast that was laid out nicely with a variety of items to choose from (small omelets, meats, breads, etc) The Hostess was welcoming and maintained the area very well. Local newspapers were plentiful and the televisions were placed so multiple guests could view - but were not intrusive. Brochures about the area were available. I highly recommend this location whether you are visiting the Franciscan University or the Murals AND it's not that far from the Pittsburgh Airport - with better prices!

My family stayed here for 2 nights due to my son visiting Franciscan University. The overall experience at the Inn was nothing short of excellent. This property is centrally located . It is very clean and nicely decorated. There are places to eat within walking distance and a new full service restaurant will be opening soon that you can walk to in less than 2 minutes

There's not a lot of places to stay in Steubenville, but this is clearly the best. It's new, clean, comfortable, secure and well maintained. Rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and engaging. Plenty of parking and there's a nice spot to eat dinner and/or breakfast across the driveway. Nestled into the valley - this place is a great place to stay.

this is the 2nd time my husband and I have stayed here. Place is spotless top to bottom. Rooms are roomy, comfy beds, AC worked well, staff is warm and very friendly and breakfast is awesome. Also the addition of Pizza place ( I have forgotten the name) next to hotel was delicious and convenient that we didn't have to get our car and drive. If need arise we will be staying here again no doubt about it.

I love the newly built property. Everything looks new, clean and well maintained. I love the pool and that the water was comfortable without being cold. I don't like the shower in the room because it was not a bathtub and that it had a 1 sided glass and water splashed outside when taking a shower.

Nearly brand new hotel, super convenient to Franciscan University and Greater Steubenville area. Spacious well appointed lobby. Spacious quiet and well appointed guest rooms. Rooms lacked minor details normally found in newer hotels (such as toe-holds in shower) but on balance all good. Staff was helpful capable and friendly. An overall fine hotel experience.

This is frankly one of the BW locations in the country! They have a friendly staff, spotless rooms, nice pool and fitness center, great rooms. Perfect if you need to go to the University or if you are simply in the area.

It is not often that one can sit at the window and watch both youngsters and oldsters at play on the green or catch a glimpse of the sisters in white habits walking together down a shaded drive across the way. The Inn at Franciscan Square affords it's guests that as well as many other pleasantries. My husband and I stayed in a king suite which was carefully designed to offer comfort and ease of movement. There are no bold colors or patterns here ; the decor is simple, tasteful, and calming. Even the bathroom is comforting as the mirror is large and the shower is a walk-in (no bumping elbows or knees or getting stuck on a shower curtain). The hot/cold breakfast bar is attended and offers selections such as juices, fresh fruit, hot eggs, bacon, toasting for breakfast breads, irons for waffles, hot cereal, and various chilled dairy products such as yogurt. Coffee and tea are available 24/7. We were told upon check-in that the desk was attended at all times so that requests for additional amenities, necessities, or instructions could be readily managed. Although the on-site, full service restaurant is not yet complete, both the bagel shop and pizza grill sit within the square and offer outdoor seating. Always a greeting and a smile or an offer of service—welcomed indeed.

Breakfast was amazing. Front desk staff were overwhelmingly helpful and supportive. They checked on us daily over the 3 nights we were there! They had specialty bread for our dietary needs. Picture is view from hotel parking lot. Staff were always working hard-cleaning, vacuuming, etc-to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Definitely the place to stay in Steubenville!

This newer hotel has a great view of the valley leading to the Ohio River. There is an outdoor green area perfect for events and flanked by two restaurants. Soon there will be a third (Bennigans). The lobby and breakfast area are clean and stylish. Employees are friendly and helpful. I met the GM, and he takes great pride in the property. I had a room with a king size bed and a loveseat. Everything was clean and well maintained. The shower was excellent. The room had a mid size refrigerator and microwave. I would definitely stay here again! I think there is an exercise room and pool, but I didn't get to use it.

Very friendly staff upon checking in and check out. The breakfast was wonderful! The hotel was spotless and very accommodating, the pool was beautiful and clean the fitness center had several machines and was also clean this place is top notch! My husband and I will definitely return if we ever travel through this way again! This will be our hotel of choice!

Had a great room on Top floor. Everything was clean and the staff was very helpful. I believe that they have the best breakfast so far in my travels. Vicki was very good at keeping the breakfast full and cleaning up the table. Helpful and very friendly.

Clean, safe, new and welcoming. The location is right across from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Obviously the most convenient location to the school but also to the downtown area is nearby. There are a few independent food spots right across the parking lot in the same University Square but also you can go across the street to a nice FUS café or up the street to Capri for a meatball of sausage sandwich to go..

This is a relatively new BW and is top drawer. The staff is friendly, the accommodations are top notch and the breakfast is good. Asset Counter Manager Tim helped us every step of the way. (It was Graduation Weekend and the crowd was large. ). Tim always made time for our questions. The room was large and the Htg/AC was as quiet as a mouse. Well done BW.

This was my first time at this hotel and I was very happy with everything. My room was big and clean and spacious. The rate was reasonable. The property is clean and well kept. I only stayed here one night for business. It was a nice place, everything seemed clean. The bed was too hard for me, but that's not uncommon in a variety of hotels I've stayed in. The staff were very friendly & helpful. The shower was nice. The breakfast included some good protein options - scrambled eggs (which I think were real, not powdered), boiled eggs, yogurt, peanut butter, & sausage, There was also a waffle making station, and some potatoes,onions, & peppers which looked freshly cooked along with the requisite variety of cerals, bagels, muffins.... The coffee was not bad & is available 24 hours along with tea & cocoa, so that was nice. Overall, I woudl reccommend.

Excellent facility and staff! Highly recommend! The facility was new and had lovely lobby and guest rooms. The rooms were spacious and had amenities that added to a great stay. The fitness room was small but had everything you would need for an excellent work out experience. There is a lovely patio area with grills. Adjacent to the hotel is a delightful pizza parlor and bagel shop.

Everyone was very nice and friendly. They were very accommodating. Location was great for visiting the Franciscan University. It was very convenient to have a hot breakfast on site. Every morning was a little different.

Clean and newer hotel very close to Franciscan University. Quiet and decent size rooms. Free breakfast is included as a guest. Fitness room is in good shape, but is a little small. Indoor pool is a decent size and in good condition.

We had a chance to see Uriah Heep, in Bergetts town PA. Our room was ready when we arrived at three PM. This is an immaculate hotel. Well designed. The bed was so comfortable. I wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the pool. I took a trip to the mall, it was easy to find and close. Breakfast was great too.

This Best Western is fairly new. Staff was very helpful, amenities were great. Will stay again when in Steubenville OH. There are two restaurants just across the street which are very good. Location is good.

We stayed here for 4 nights for a Family wedding. This hotel was fairly close to where the wedding was being held. Beautiful rooms with a huge dressing area and en suite bathroom. Outside area with a fire pit and very comfy chairs surrounding it. Plenty of spaces in car park. Indoor swimming pool, very nice. Breakfast was so good, typically American but clean and hot. Really enjoyed our stay.

We were VERY impressed by this hotel!! So many amenities, very clean interior & room, wonderful breakfast buffet, indoor pool, outdoor fire pit, hotel staff that bent over backwards to help us, all in a Christ-centered facility that even housed a full-size Nativity set. Nearly new hotel. Rooms were very clean, and we got excellent nights sleep as the hotel was quiet and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom shower was large, with a glass door and a rainfall shower head. Free breakfast was included, and they had a coffee station inside the lobby.

The BW at Frans. square was a good hotel to stay in, in the Steubenville area. I would recommend this hotel over any of the rest. The Hotel is only 1 year old so everything is newer. The cleanest hotel I have EVER stayed in. Quiet, comfortable. Helpful desk and housekeeping staff. I will definitely stay there when I return to the Steubenville area in the future. It is nice to have lodging options in the area that are a step up from what has been available in the past.

Urgent surgery of family member... I prefer down pillows...none of this type were in the room... Hot breakfast is definitely a plus... Not much more to say regarding this trip... We use this location because it is close to family

My family and I went on a quick getaway and chose this 1 year old Best Western for the night. Since it's new, the hotel is immaculate. Absolutely lovely entrance and spectacularly decorated for Christmas during the season. Fitness center was nice and the pool is amazing. Lots of seating and a very large heated pool! There is a coffee, tea, hot cocoa stand open 24 hours a day in the lobby. Breakfast was plentiful and the woman in charge of keeping things stocked and cleaned up really hustled and was great. The entire staff was very customer service oriented and did a wonderful job of making our stay enjoyable.

Fantastic! If you have a family ask for the room with two queen and a pull out couch! The staff were amazing. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was substantial. Location is right across the street from Franciscan University of Steubenville. Were visiting for an event on campus with my son and they gave us a discount!

We stayed here during one of the Steubenville Conferences in June 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. It was designed by the university and is beautiful. It is brand new, well managed and a short walk from the campus. We normally stay at Marriott properties and fell in love with this location.

We were in the Valley to visit family in MF and chose BW+ for brand loyalty, price ($20/nte cheaper than Hampton in St C), and location(25 min to MF/WHG, PITT AP). Franciscan Square is new dvlpmnt across from Univ. Property was excellent with 2 exceptions: hot water wait time on 4th floor was considerable (living in the desert SW makes one hyperaware of water waste) and the sink had been installed w/o a stopper. Staff was great, breakfast had different items everyday of our 5 night stay, fitness room and indoor pool were first class

my husband and I were in town to view Steubenville's Nutcrackers. The hotel met all our needs during this trip. Very friendly staff. The breakfast variety, the fireplace inside and on the patio made this a winner for us.

The rooms are beautiful and new, just as pictured. High ceilings, comfortable beds, breakfast included, new & clean! No complaints! Fantastic location off of the main road. Very clean & well appointed rooms. When I'm back in this area, we'll definitely stay here again.

We love this place. Good breakfast, nice swimming pool, and very nice room.We like the christian quotes on the walls. My youngest son had fun at the swimming pool and my husband spent time at the quiet gym. We have nice memory from this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western. This hotel is very new. They serve a nice breakfast included in the nightly rate. Hotel staff was very welcoming when we checked in. We stayed one night while visiting family in the area. Unfortunately there is not much at all around this hotel. No restaurants nearby or shopping. There is a restaurant(pizzeria)being built across the parking lot but it was not open yet. The hotel was very nice and extremely clean. If we are in this area in the future we would stay again.

This hotel is newer in the area, reasonably priced, extremely clean, a very good breakfast available at no extra charge. The hotel is in a good location, especially if you are in the area to visit a student at the university.

The hotel is nice; the staff is great; and they had a nice breakfast each morning. Rooms are nice (for Steubenville) and it would have been a pleasant stay, save for the guests standing around outside the entry, smoking like chimneys. It was so bad that the stench of smoke was in the lobby, in the hallways and I ended up getting sick from it. All of the places I know that are non-smoking ensure that the smoking doesn't take place in the vicinity of the hotel. Since they own the parking lot, it should be prohibited out there. It made what would have been a nice experience a frustrating one. When I asked the nice lady who was working the front desk about this issue, she said if they find out that people have smoked in rooms, they'll fine them. That's all well and good, but why do they not have smoke alarms in every room to catch those people breaking the rules? It also makes it uncomfortable for those who need to stay there and be subjected to it. I have to go back there in December and I am just now getting over the sinus infection and laryngitis I got by staying there. It's a shame, really, because the staff was so accomodating and genuine and the hotel is nice.

Best Western in Steubenville, Ohio is only one year old and the attention to detail exceeds most hotels. The rooms have high ceilings, large windows, high quality furnishings and spacious room sizes. I will definitely stay there again. The hotel is 45 minutes form Pittsburgh and a good selection if you are going to a Steelers game. They also have hot breakfast daily.

Typically I would not choose a Best Western. The brand has over the years become not a top pick in the mid range category of hotels. This was a joyful change to that view point I had had. This is a new modern, quiet friendly hotel with a free breakfast buffet. A swimming pool indoors that is removed from the rest of the hotel, so the noise does not carry through the hotel.

The hotel is lovely from the front entrance and beyond. Friendly staff, beautiful space, convenient to campus and the extras like the fire pit and gathering space make it our favorite place to stay! The rooms are clean and comfortable and the food at breakfast is great. Coffee is always on and ready. Fireplace room and comfy furniture give this hotel lots of great atmosphere and the lobby is so inviting. Everything about this place is top-shelf!

While this is a lovely place overall there are several issues that I just can't get around. For those reasons I probably won't stay here again... the rooms have little to no noise control. You can hear EVERYTHING from the room next door. On a good night this is annoying but on a night when you have someone in the room next door to you trying to kill his wife by putting her head through the wall and cursing every other breath, it's unbearable. Even with complaints to the front desk this went on from midnight until around 4:15 am. Second: I was accosted by another guest at breakfast making inappropriate remarks and asking for money. Had to threaten to call the police to get him to leave me alone. Third. Due to the construction of associated buildings in the parking lot, parking is a nightmare. Four. beds are uncomfortable and the quality of the sheets can be likened to burlap.

This hotel is beautifully designed, the staff is professional and helpful, the full breakfasts had a good variety and were delicious. I will always choose this hotel whenever I'm in Steubenville, OH for conferences.

We had registered at another hotel on-line. When we actually saw the other hotel, we realized the limits of online booking. Even though it was at the last minute, staff at the Inn at Franciscan Square were very helpful and accommodating.

Really nice hotel, friendly staff, clean and comfortable. Was they only hotel in the area that still had rooms available when I booked and so glad it worked out this way. They even have an outdoor fire pits and seating area for lounging and/or eating outside. Nice surprise!

Really enjoyed staying here over the weekend. Facilities were brand new and service was great. Price was lower then I would've guessed considering how nice the hotel was. Breakfast was excellent. Used the pool, grilling area, and outside fireplace.

I must say for my 1st stay at a hotel that only been there for a year, was really a Great Hotel I just wished there were not working on the hwy made it a little hard to get there. I just would to warn those who carry their coffee from the lobby to their rooms to be careful, I spilled a cup trying to get my card key out of my pocket & it sure was hot!

We enjoyed the peace, location, cleanliness and great care the staff took with us while visiting family in the area. Will come again. Very comfortable beds, and very clean. The breakfast was hot, the pool was warm and a delight. We also thought the fitness room was a notch above...clean and a great option as we stayed two nights. We will stay again.

This was a lovely new hotel with very friendly staff. The guest rooms were huge, well-appointed with a fabulous walk-in shower. We also appreciated the extra pillows on the beds too. This hotel and staff are excellent! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel has reasonable rates for area. The continental breakfast was a bit different every day, and the coffee was always fresh and tasty. I encounter any problem during my stay. There was even an outside fire pit and grill, if you would want to cook your own dinner.

The breakfast was awesome. They served waffles, bagels, muffins, bread, oatmeal bar, cereal, yogurt bar, and hot eggs and sausage. The rooms are huge and have a nice size fridge and microwave. Everything seemed very clean. The service was great. Highly recommend!

they just opened this brand new location, it is a very neat, clean place, situated right in front of the entrance to the Franciscan University at Stubenville , rather pricey for the normal, not extraordinary service or value

We booked a large portion of the hotel for wedding guests. The staff was exceptional and our guests were very pleased. the rooms were clean the breakfast options were excellent as was the quality of the food.

I highly recommend this stay! Everything was great! Wonderful breakfast with many choices! Rooms were very comfortable! We were there for a wedding so our group got together in the middle of the day in the breakfast area to visit. We had a wonderful time!

Best place for families of Franciscan University students to stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. I wish they'd add a restaurant, though; there aren't many good places to eat in Steubenville.

We had a very comfortable stay. Came into town to drop our daughter off at school, and spend the night. We had a very clean room- it was comfortable, AC working well, bathroom clean and stocked. The lobby of the hotel was immaculate and open, the breakfast buffet was excellent, lots to choose from, everything fresh. The staff both at check in/ out and throughout the hotel was accommodating and friendly.

Found this hotel by chance, and was very pleased with our stay. The rooms were a good size, the beds were comfy and the overall hotel layout was easy to navigate. Would go back again when I'm in the area. Very new, clean, and modern. Great choice for our family. Thanks for making it memorable!

I was there to drop my daughter off to Franciscan University. I have stayed there every time I have traveled to and from her campus except once when they were all booked up. This hotel always goes out of there way to accomadate your needs. Very polite and helpful in everything they do.

This is not only the nicest place in town but it was one of the nicest hotels i have stayed in on a long time. The room was lovely with an awesome Samsung tv. clean and pristine. They have so many amenities to enjoy... indoor pool... workout room fire pit to sit and at night... breakfast in the morning. Making fresh waffles for my wife and sugar cinnamon toast for the kids was a blast.

No problems--hotel staff accommodated all needs for myself and my bridesmaids the night before my wedding which I really appreciated! It was the perfect place in Steubenville to have this event and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for hotels in the area.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are quite ample in size and amenities (fridge, microwave, single serve coffee maker, iron/board, hair dryer). Seemed to be good sound proofing, seldom heard anyone from our room (I do wish hotels would make "easy-close" doors so they don't bang shut! That I did hear!) Breakfast bar was above average with hot and cold selections. Very nice sitting areas in lobby as well as outside with fire pit. Indoor pool was nice. Even the stairways were nice - carpeted and clean.

We had a brief stay at the hotel but were happy with the staff and the condition of the rooms. We had a late night check in and the front desk was welcoming and helpful in recommending local pizza shops for late night delivery. We chose this hotel for its proximity to a concert venue in PA (Key Bank Pavilion in Burgettstown). It's not the closest but the price, room availability, and value seemed worth it. The drive wasn't bad at all coming from this venue, about 17 minutes.The hotel appeared very new with modern decor. We've never seen a hotel seal a "fresh remote" before. If this is truly "fresh" I certainly appreciate the care given to keep things clean!

First time at this Best Western Was built October, 2016. Hospitality was great and rooms were very clean. Also was with a group. We had a cook out across the street with turf. Very nice environment. Recommend highly.

College reunion, late sixties early seventies. I think we had almost all the rooms in the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay there a great experience. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to that part of the country.

Perfect location for visitors to Franciscan University. Hotel clean. Good breakfast: scrambled eggs, sausage , oatmeal, fruit, muffins, toast, waffle maker. Pleasant staff. No bar soap in bathroom and bathroom door needed some WD40. But overall comfortable stay.

Hotel is new, presented as new, looks new, staff was new and seem proud of this hotel. New hotels are usually great places to stay, and should get higher STAR ratings. Just across the river from West Virginia, and near Pittsburgh.

This hotel just opened in October, 2016. It's right across the street from The Franciscan University of Steubenville, and gets a lot of traffic from folks going to the conferences there. It's a great location for that purpose, especially since there's a shuttle that goes back and forth between the hotel and campus. The hotel is clean and modern, the staff is friendly, and they a nice breakfast (included in the price). There's a swimming pool (which I haven't checked out yet), and they are building a food court on the grounds. Couldn't ask for more, for a reasonable price.

Our 3 day stay at the hotel was very pleasant. Although there was construction outside of the hotel, it did not affect our stay in any way. The room was clean, quite and comfortable. The staff was courteous and helpful. The cost was competitive with other hotels in the area. We will definitely stay there on our next visit.

The hotel was quiet and I believe the room was mostly clean, although the carpet and wallpaper were stained, as was the grout in the bathroom floor tile. The bed was extremely comfortable, although the pillows were a little too plump for a side sleeper. Breakfasts were good.

Everything was clean and modern. The staff was helpful and courteous. The bed and pillows are superb. However, the internet speed was worse than dial-up the first day and completely non-existent the second. We asked for and received a discount due to the lack of internet service. Also, you are only given one washcloth per day.

This is by far one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Zero complaints, will stay again. The place looks and smells brand new, comfortable beds, plenty of space. Even has an outdoor patio and fire pit.

We had to stay overnight in Steubenville after dropping our teenager off for a week long conference. It was just a quick in and out but we were very pleased with the accomodations and service. The room was spotless (carpet needs a bit of cleaning), linens were great quality and staff was fabulous! Breakfast was very nice and beautifully maintained. The 10% off dinner at Damons Grill was very nice but we would eat elsewhere if we ever had to go back. We were in and out and definitely would recommend it.

This Best Western Plus has Lovely Amenities, Very Helpful Staff, Clean, Crisp Accommodations. I enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evening. A Great new Addition to the area for business and the Community. The business center made it easy for faxing and email. Also utilized the free wifi in room very easily. Great Value

Excellent facility with recreation area, outdoor patio with gas firepit, pool, great spaces for group meals and clean, comfortable rooms with excellent service. You cannot go wrong with this hotel - from the staff to the facilities, everything was fantastic!

Spent a long weekend here and the place itself was great. There is a lot of local and Catholic/Franciscan decor in all the public and private spaces of the Inn (I guess this is the case since the Franciscan university across the street owns it). Breakfast was great because they didn't try to skimp on breakfast items. Stephenville is a really small town so location is a null and void issue. Staff was great and things went well for us during our stay so I only really have positive things to say about my stay.

If you have to stay here and no other hotels are available in the Steubenville area, be sure you ask about the type of room you receive and be sure that everything is properly functioning and suited to meet your needs. I will not use this hotel again.

Bad pillows, dirty sheets and carpet. Worn out sheets. Cleaning staff complained about their boss and told me about other hotel guest issues. I always stay at BW on my travels. But this is one, New, but many issues already. breakfast staff literally closed shop at 9:30 sharp. At other BW's they give late commers a little time to make toast

The motel was wonderful. the rooms, elevator, pool, breakfast layout was first class. the people were so helpful in everything. We were4 there three days and enjoyed everything. I would tell this experience to any friend, or person I know.

The experience and staff was great. I must say the bed was beyond heavenly making it easier to get up and return from business. I haven't stay at a Best Western in years...quite impressed. The pool was totally awesome and I was able to test my fitness level in the gym. Well I had to start somewhere why not here. Thanks for the 1st opportunities.

We were extremely satisfied with the quality of our experience at this location. Everything one can think of in terms of amenities and service was excellent. It was great to start each day with a delicious hot buffet breakfast. Having computers for guests was much appreciated.

A Sisters weekend full of adventures on a very hot weekend. Hotel was lovely and cool and quiet and very relaxing. Room was spacious and furnishing comfortable. Would highly recommend. Steubenville and the Franciscan University were easily accessible and the surrounding areas of West Virginia beautiful.

My wife and i really liked the hotel. Everything is very new and clean. The staff was friendly and the free breakfast was good. The bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that all the pillows are the same on the bed. They are too thick! If you are a side sleeper or sleep on your belly you are going to wake up sore due to the pillows pushing your head up too much. They should put a variety of pillows to cater to all types of sleepers.

There are a lot of hotels that offer a free breakfast, and I've stayed at a lot of them from NC to Calif and lots of places in between. I had never been to Steubenville but work sent me there this week. The office picked the hotel and I got a lucky break. Here's what I think. If you want the best, big, comfortable room in town here is where you stay. And, lucky for you (and for me too), it's got a terrific free breakfast too. Seriously, the rooms are large and comfortable. Huge screen tv. Individually controlled room heat. Quiet sound insulated walls. Cold drink vending machine by the elevator. And the people? Easy going, comfortable, helpful, professional, and friendly. But breakfast? Hard to believe how good those scrambled eggs were. Restaurant fresh cooking, lots of everything. It made me wish I had gotten up early just so I could've relaxed over breakfast and taken my time. So if you go here, stay here. But get up early enough to have a delicious, leisurely breakfast. You're gonna love it!

Facility was great. But.... The bed was too soft for my back, and the breakfast food was not very good. Other than that, nice sofa and DIRECTV in the room was nice. We really liked the old Best Western up the hill.

We slept here on our way to West Virginia after landing in Pittsburgh. actually one night on arrival and one night on departure. The hotel is new and everything is really well taken care of. clean and modern. Even the area is still on construction, there was no noise.

This was a great place to relax, the beds were great, the breakfast was awesome, and the kids enjoyed the pool..and it was great to relax in. The staff was were knowledgeable about the area and help us locate great places to eat and shop.

We were in town for a wedding and really enjoyed our stay here. It's clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. All of the staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. I'd happily stay here again!

Easy to get to - right off the highway. Plenty of restaurants within close driving distance. Clean Room. Loved the wood look laminate flooring and room darkening blind. The room was very large and included a refridge and microwave along with a couch, chairs and a desk. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast.

We stayed here while in town for a concert. The staff was very friendly and offered information on nearby restaurants. The rooms very clean and comfortable with a fridge and microwave in room. We really enjoyed the fresh hot complimentary breakfast in the morning. There was also an indoor pool and patio area with fire pit and grill which we did not have time to use on our short stay. We will definitely use this hotel again and highly recommend it!

This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in lately. Everyone was kind, friendly, and professional. Breakfast was better than average and it was so clean! Great selection of tv channels, hot water, good bed. No complaints except my GPS took me to the campus of Franciscan University! Great stay!

We stayed here for a quick trip to attend a funeral and had a very nice stay. The staff was very warm and helpful. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and large. If you find yourself in Steubenville, you will not be disappointed if you stay here!

Overall this was a plus experience. Room was comfortable except for the pillows which were all too hard for me. Direct TV with lots of options. Modern walk in shower. Breakfast options weren't my favorites but passable. New hotel and Good location.

It was a new, clean, very comfortable hotel. The best points were small things, like the lamps on the desk and nightstand had power plugs on them and you didn't have to go searching for them on the wall behind the bed. Very welcoming breakfast area included, nice photo decorations in the room. The shower was a new style, it had no door or curtain, just half a glass wall. I guess it worked alright, the floor wasn't flooded!

Ms. Sarah Walter at the front desk was more than helpful with any of the concerns that arose with all of our guests staying at the hotel. She was very quick to attend to any questions and made sure we were taken care of! She definitely made the stay worry free and pleasant, it's employees like her that bring a hotel's customer service quality beyond expectations! And Brett was awesome and got us a trash bag for the fire pit, way to go Brett! The "state-of-the-art" fitness center isn't too shabby, I wouldn't say state-of-the-are, but they have to say that. Over all it is what you need for a quick workout! The fire pit is pretty awesome as well to just lounge around and have some beers. The pool is advertised as heated, but it's more mildly lukewarm. But to be honest, the best part was the staff interaction, they were very helpful and understanding of any concerns that arose.

I travel 180 days a year. This is a new property. Very well designed and furnished. Large walk in showers, quality queen beds and bedding. Light resistant rooms. Nice pool and fitness center. Nice lobby for meeting friends. Breakfast provided is above average quality with a large selection of hot and cold foods. 24 hour coffee and tea service. Micro wave and refrigerator concealed in rooms. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This hotel is brand new, so everything was very clean. The pool was large and had plenty of comfortable seating, and enough towels! The free continental breakfast had so many options with an upgraded presentation. There was a fire pit with seating in the front, barbecue grills available - very family friendly and welcoming. The bed and pillows made for a great night's sleep. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I absolutely love this hotel! The decor reflecting the University is done well. Looking forward to another visit next week for graduation! The staff is very helpful and friendly, hotel is very clean and comfortable!

Brand new construction with a blessed Decor overall great experience the breakfast was excellent the conference rooms were superb the quotes on the wall or excellent only wish it had a hot tub that will definitely stay there the next time in town

This brand new hotel is awesome! Very comfortable and convenient to Franciscan University (across the street) The employees are super friendly. Nice breakfast! The rooms seem to be bigger than average; we had three people in our room and there was lots of room to move around. We had a refrigerator, microwave and coffee make in our room. The beds are super comfortable also!

We stayed in two rooms this past weekend for a family wedding. This hotel sits directly across from Franciscan Univ. and the decor mirrors the colors and spirit of the school. The furnishings were simple, modern and clean design. The colors matched the colleges colors and pictures of the school don the walls of the rooms. The breakfast buffet was what you would find in most hotels with both hot and cold items with ample choices available. We were put on separate floors which was a little disappointing although we booked well in advance and arrived by 3 pm. The hotel was at capacity and the front desk said they were unable to move us closer. We also were put in a room with a handicap bathroom which we did not request. It wasn't too big of a deal and the extra rails served as bars to hang my girls bathing suits to dry, but it made the sleeping room size a little smaller with only a chair rather than a love seat to fit in the room. The widow faced a hill, not traffic, which made it quiet and the drapes kept the room dark for sleeping which is the most important feature of the room in my opinion. This hotel has a pool as well as a fire pit out front for guest use which was a nice bonus. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was very polite.

I was surprised at the quality of a chain hotel. The design, decor and amenities were more upscale. The only thing I missed was a bathrobe, otherwise it was great. I would recommend this hotel for anyone associated with Franciscan University. Not much else going on in the area

This is a new hotel, but I must say it is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. Friendly clerk at check in and check out. Complimentary breakfast was very good. The hotel is conveniently located and once all the construction is done on the road will be a great place to stay for people traveling in that area.

I hadn't been planning to stay in Steubenville overnight, but needed a room in a pinch and the BW had availability. I do spend a few nights throughout the year in Steubenville and I will be switching to this hotel as my go-to.

This is an absolutely gorgeous new hotel, and if it is emblematic of the "new BW" brand, I will definitely consider other BW's !!! We were travelling for a visit to Franciscan University (across the street), and anyone going for that reason will absolutely love it. But even if you are just travelling in the general area, this is a great hotel and option. Superior service and amenities, very nice !!! Stayed in 2 hotels during this trip, and the other stay at a Holiday Inn (pricier, and far inferior) was terrible in general, and especially by comparison.

Three night stay at hotel. Other than the check in process which was a little slow, everything was great. Great location great facility. Very clean and very friendly staff. Currently building a restaurant and small retail store within a few feet of the hotel. Only negative would be the exercise facility. Way too small for the number of people staying in the hotel. Perfect location if staying there to visit Franciscan University. Just a walk across the street.

Stayed here one night for Easter. Everything was good except for the breakfast, which was poor quality. Will stay again for sure. The pillows on the bed were all very thick and firm. It is nice to have some that are softer and thinner for one's neck.

We were given the keys to a room, walked in, and discovered another hotel guest was already checked into that room. We were locked out of our room and had to have new keys made half way through our stay. The walls allowed for every little noise to be heard. The windows allowed us to hear all street noise and construction going on. There are no bathroom fans.

The hotel overall was nice. The breakfast food was good but tastes microwaved and not cooked on stove top. The walls seem to be a little thin and you can somewhat hear into other rooms. Currently undergoing construction in front of the building. Friendly staff. Cleaning services did not come until almost 4pm so we didn't have DND on door while our little one was taking a nap so make sure to use that if you are staying multiple days even if you think they have skipped you earlier. Need to select heat/cool and then the temperature and not just the temperature - learned this lesson the first night when wife woke up early and asked me to change it. Did not use the pool or any other amenities as we were staying for bereavement. Received a discounted bereavement rate after family member mentioned it a second time - staff was slammed with multiple guests when we checked in initially. Stayed on first level so I'm not sure about elevators. We enjoyed the hotel and will continue to use the hotel in the future when we visit Pittsburgh. Hope this helps.

Beautiful, new hotel. Lobby, room, bathroom were clean and well decorated. Comfortable beds. Added bonus room had fridge and microwave. Staff friendly. Walking distance to campus. Indoor pool and outdoor fire-pit. Free brkfast was good, too. Great stay for a great price!

We have stayed for 2 nights due to a college visit. Staff members were pleasant, breakfast quality above expectations in this rate category, and the hotel was squeaky clean. Our only challenge was getting comfortable at night - we only had firm, overstuffed pillows and much too thin bed blanket. I have adjusted a room thermometer to a higher temperature, but it didn't help anyway. We should have asked for help, but were too tired to deal with it - arrived well past midnight. I would certainly stay there again, but need to check on my bed as soon as we arrive, so we can request to adjust things in time.

The Best Western outdid themselves with this gorgeous hotel! We were overjoyed to see the tasteful decor and beautiful rooms in this brand new hotel! The staff was warm, friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay quite a bit!

This is a well designed and new hotel with Franciscan university nearby. Thoughtful designs and décor in the rooms - large bench for suitcases and portable suitcase holder in closet. Room safe, nice refrigerator and microwave, LED TV with quality free wifi in room. Lovely walk in shower with no door and half wall of glass; clever placement of shower valve handle on entrance wall opposite of shower head. Very comfortable bed with clean modern bedding décor. Smart placement of sitting area chairs closer to door and bed closer to window makes it feel more spacious. Friendly staff. Coffee at breakfast area full flavored and not watery like in many hotels.Nice equipment in gym with recliner bike and elliptical. Pool looked nice and there is outdoor fire pit. Many amenities usually only in more expensive hotels.

Best Western Plus The Inn at Franciscan Square is a great place to stay. Excellent, really! I would recommend anyone in the Steubenville area or visiting the college here to stay at this hotel. It's brand new!
