Je m’inscris Great place easy check in and out, beds were amazing we would diffently come back to this hotel, and our dogs liked it too. Breakfast host was a very pleasant person and the food was exceptional, thank you again for the wonderfull stay and we will be back
Great customer service, continental breakfast was a treat and the shuttle service provided was definitely appreciated and accommodated us greatly. Thank you so much and we'll definitely sleep here again next time we need a room or place to stay.
The rooms were clean, you could control the temp in the room, the room was cool unpon arrival, the bed was comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. I would highly recommend staying here. This was our 2nd time in a year. The staff was very friendly and very eager to please.
This was the first time using this location for an associates extended stay in Sparks Nevada for business. The accommodations, staff, and location were all to our standards and liking. Great price also. I continue to use BW and BW Plus locations for all my business and leisure travel.
This is a very unique Best Western. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are exceptionally clean. I suffer from asthma and the air conditioning didn't bother me, super clean air conditioning! I enjoy that they give out free waters to every customer. They also have a water dispenser in the lobby woohoo!
Not the newest hotel in the Reno-Sparks area. Adjoining neighborhood is industrial but a nice play to stay for a night. Big rooms, good mattress, excellent shower. Very friendly staff. Full breakfast is free. Hat tip to Bobby, who works hard to keep the breakfast buffet full. Will even provide to-go boxes to take your breakfast on the road.
The beds were really comfortable. Excellent free breakfast. Helpful front desk service. Location was great. Shuttle service to Hot August Nights in Reno, Nevada was greatly appreciated . Saved us from having to find parking. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who wants a great experience.
Such a clean and comfortable environment to relax in after a hard day of work. Especially since I am a truck driver, and rely on rest for my 10 hours down or 34 hour reset. The staff was very courteous and their service was exceptional. I had a great experience.
Only place I stay when in Sparks. Wonderful, helpful staff …………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..200 word requirement is ridiculous ……………………………………………………………………..
This is a beautiful best western in the Reno Sparks area. Freeway close and lots of restaurants and shopping nearby. A wonderful reception from staff and a quality hotel through and through. Would stay there again, and would highly recommend!
Overall, an average stay. We did have problems checking in as they had a hard time finding our reservation. Our room was also dirty our first night (stained sheets), but that was fixed the next day. The breakfast is okay, but there are long lines, and despite how hard the employees work to get the food out, there are always guests that load their plates leaving nothing for others (I waited on 3 different occasions to get pancakes because people in front of me grabbed 6 or 7). The employees were nice overall when spoken to, but no one went out of their way to be friendly. I'd say everything was generic across the board.
Nice facilities and amenities. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The hotel is pet friendly. The pool and lounge area are very nice. Truck and RV parking is available in the rear of the hotel.
Very clean and inviting, the staff was awesome. They went up and above to make us feel at home. They offered a shuttle to the casino 24 hrs a day. They have a clean pool and a jacuzzi. Brand new building. Centrally located to everything. Would definitely stay there again.
The rooms are nice , but they do not service the rooms you have to ask the front desk , breakfast was ok , but they ran out of coffee last morning we stayed , the other days they ran out of everything, the staffing for breakfast is lacking , the air conditioning in our room was very noisy, and the tv was getting darker ,gym is ok but the air conditioning can not cool the room , the pool is ok you have to go to front desk for towels
Reserved a room for one night. The hotel staff extended the stay to a month without request or authorization, and by billing on the last night, this went unnoticed until it was too late. They are refusing to make it right.
Came in for a concert. Courtesy shuttle driver Charles was very friendly as was Maddie, Ryan and Bonnell at the front desk. Great restaurant recommendations. The shuttle took me to the concert venue as well as the airport so I didn't have to worry about renting a car. That was great! Comprehensive breakfast. Even had plant-based options. Bedding was really uncomfortable and pillows need to be replaced. Interstate 80 traffic at night is pretty loud. Security officer Jim drove me back to the airport predawn and he also was very friendly and personable. All in all the staff, shuttle service and breakfast made this a great stay
I went for a concert at The nugget. Airport pick up and shuttle to the venue as well as to local restaurant for lunch/dinner was provided for free. Charles was my driver. He is amazing. The front desk staff is incredible. Maddie made my reservation. So sweet and kind as were Bonnell and Ryan. Everyone is very friendly and made my stay very enjoyable. Thanks everybody! I definitely recommend
Great customer service. Beds were very comfortable. But traffic noise, A/C noise and the wall unit forces cold air in your face when you are trying to sleep. Walls fairly thin. I heard a dog barking and woman yelling at the dog at 3:30 am. Unfortunately all of this ruined sleep quality, even in our room on the 8th floor.
Friendly staff and perfect location . The hotel is always clean and the shuttle service the offer is very handy Most hotels give you maybe 3 small pillows but this property has 6 pillows per bed , perfect for a surgery situation like my stays have been
I've stayed at different Best Western hotels and I would say this one is the best. I was impressed being at this hotel because usually other Best Western hotels are like 2 or 3 stars but this one I would definitely give it a 4. It's modern, clean and has very comfortable beds and that includes the bedding and pillows. Very soft bedding and pillows! The breakfast was ok, nothing fancy. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again if we're in the area.
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Thank goodness for the 24-hour free airport shuttle!
We've stayed here twice and it's a great place to stay. The rooms are large and comfortable .It was quiet and we slept well. Last time we used the free shuttle to a concert. Breakfast was good and they provide an area to sit with your pet. Our dog enjoyed the free dog biscuits. We'll definitely be back.
The property looked more modern than I expected the room was also comfortable clean and had modern furniture and the best part was the friendly staff! At midnight the desk staff was warm and inviting and when we checked out every contact we had was courteous, kind and proactive.
This was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. Very friendly accommodating staff from the minute we walked in until we left. The room was clean, beds comfortable, bathroom very nice. Great amenities. The breakfast was perfect. The price was very reasonable. Also very quiet and easy access to the freeway.
This Best Western is a regular stop for me, so I spend a lot of time here. As far as being taken care of for any of my lodging needs, this hotel meets and exceeds all of them!
Glad I went with this hotel. We were in town for a family event with multiple relatives spread across different hotels in the area. So many of them mentioned their hotels were rundown or a tad sketchy. I couldn't complain about this hotel. It's definitely off the highway near some type of plant so no view to speak of. However, and to me more importantly, it felt safe and the room was clean. There was breakfast in the morning where we were able to get a bit in our stomach before the start of the day, though don't expect an elaborate spread. Apparently there is a shuttle service for guests going to places in the nearby area, though we did not use it. All in all it was just fine and if I had to choose a place to stay in the area I'd likely choose this place again.
Ive stayed at Ramada and GSR in this area but Ramada I would not recommend do to safety and GSR I always have issues with reservations and charge extra for a microwave but Best Western has always been exceptional at both plus food is within a short walk.
Beds are comfortable, good breakfast, close to nicer casinos like the legends bay and village witch has a cafe open 24/7, also super close to the nugget casino, you have super burrito Mexican restaurant next door (good breakfast burritos) this place has a decent gym with dumbbells treadmill, stationary bike, Elliptical, yoga mats, bands. Medicine balls, benches that angle, water machine, towels, and a scale.
Staff is very friendly and helpfull. From reserving, checking in or anything else I might ask for. Rooms are nice. As someone who stays in hotels twice a week, I've found good shower water pressure to be low in alot of hotels, but not this one!
My mother and I stayed here for 3 nights. She is elderly and walks with a cane. The entire staff made sure she was taken care of at all times, and went above and beyond the call of duty. A special THANK YOU to Bobby for offering to make her pancakes during breakfast! He told her to sit and relax and then brought her breakfast over to her. WOW! We will definitely be back.
The Staff was kind and caring. The facilities were clean and had easy access. The motel was Pet friendly with a reasonable fee for the pet. The breakfast that was prepared was fresh and had many choices. It was easy to make your own toast as well. The staff made sure that there was plenty of food and pastries. The fruit and quick snacks were well stocked.
Very quiet all though is located near the interstate breakfast was great lots to choose from and restaurants near by and a free shuttle to take you to the casinos and most likely anywhere you want to go
There is nothing about this hotel that is substandard. The appearance as well as the quality of service of the establishment a second to none. The cleanliness of the rooms is especially exceptional. I can't say enough good things about this Best Western
The staff were so welcoming, helpful and friendly and that was so refreshing! My family of five and a dog had a travel interruption and had to get a room somewhere for the night because of vehicle troubles. So glad we picked here! Along with the amazing staff who took such great care of us, the breakfast was top notch! So many food and drink options but not too many that the quality was sacrificed. Also, coffee, Lattes, hot chocolate, etc all day long… YES! My kids, husband, and I were all very satisfied with everything! They even had dog treats for our 100 lb Rottweiler. Greatest hotel experience in a while for us. Thank you, BWP Staff on November 5th, 2023 (night/day)! God Bless You!
as always Best Western Pluss is a family friendly place to stay with all the amenities, pools, gyms, computer rooms, a very nice lounge to go relax and read. A clean consistent high quality of Rooms . Best Western is priced for everyone's pocket book and there also pet friendly. The Service is the very best you could ask for i highly recommend trying them out.
My receipt & what I was chargesdon my credit card do not match. I was charged more on my credit card then stated in the email receipt. I will be filing a dispute shortly. The motel itself was clean & quiet.
What an amazing hotel. I was at Reno for a dog show and had trouble with my show trolley and one of the maintenance men fixed it better than ever. What an amazing customer experience! The beds were extremely comfortable. The pillows were great .The breakfast was abundant, and yummy. I highly recommend this Best Western for its customer service.
This hotel was the perfect location for us. Very friendly staff and very comfortable beds. Everything was great and we enjoyed our stay. I just wish breakfast hours were later for those of us that wake up a little later.
I'm handicapped and took my service dog and 2 teenage grandsons to this amazing hotel they have excellent people working and Dennys is next door for dinner.. the pool was huge and so was the spa .. we had a BAD experience at AMERICAS BEST VALUE INN and Best Western accommodated me and my family and my service dog with kindness and respect. They saved our family vacation after AMERICAS BEST VALUE Inn 1900 Gregg street SPARKS NV LOCATION treated us like crap and charged us for a room we didn't stay in. We were happy to stay at best western.. we will come back to best western again
We like staying at Best Western Hotels and we usually don't when visiting the Reno area. Normally we stay at one of the hotel/casinos in the area but tired of resort fees. The fact that we received a good breakfast here tipped the scale. We didn't expect such a lovely hotel as this one was.
This place is very clean and very quiet with very comfortable beds. Decent breakfast with a pancake machine! . Nice place to stay that is conveniently located. The staff is friendly and efficient- made an effort to get us a quiet room. We would stay here again.
We were there overnight for our granddaughter's softball tournament. The team stayed at another resort/casino but we were happy to stay at this lovely Best Western Plus. Nice ambience & decor, bright, clean & smoke-free with no parking hassles. Breakfast provided was very much on the light side, but we were grateful to have anything at all since many hotels don't offer breakfast. Would definitely stay here again & would recommend!
Nice, typical Best Western Plus room. Hotel is larger then typical and is located in an industrial area. Breakfast is in the lobby. Tables are limited, though you can take your food down the hall where tables look out on the landscaped courtyard. The pool looked nice, but was full of kids so I didn't try it. Best feature is the free shuttle to area restaurants; great service.
I tend to stay a BW as well as two other "chains". BW is always my first choice. This BW in Sparks is head and shoulders above other BW locations I've recently used. We were pleasanly surprised! My only criticism is to suggest you bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, due to this facility's location right next to a freeway.
We had 2 rooms for 8 nights...late arrival, tired from traveling all day, Robert checked us in quickly and was very patient and professional. Rooms were clean and well stocked. Our children enjoyed the pool and breakfast options. We had a few cold nights coming in to hotel, having the cocoa and coffee in the lobby was so nice. Shuttle was convenient, even though we rented a car, we used it twice. Close to shopping and places to eat. Will definitely return next time we're in town.
The room was comfortable. Plenty of parking. Location isn't the best for scenery, but located near the highway. We could help ourselves to the coffee anytime in the lobby. The breakfast was poorly stocked.
Location is convenient with easy access on and off 1-80. Location is industrial and noisy. The handicap room was 50 yards from elevator. That's a long way for my COPD mother to walk. Beds very comfy. Rooms are very clean. Keep going west! There are many quiet hotels once you get out of Reno. Smoking is allowed in casinos in Nevada! Smoking is a Big turn off for me and mother.
This hotel has everything you need or want in the great area of sparks/Reno. The hotel shuttle is 24/7(amazing) the breakfast is great! With a Denny's 2 buildings down casino's and out door maps close. All types of food! There isn't a better place to stay in sparks!
The rooms were clean and well appointed. Comfortable beds. Super fast internet. Lots of amenities including large fitness area, business center, ice machine on every floor. My only complaint is that it had snowed quite a lot and the parking lot was pretty treacherous.
Well... Loby's clean, didn't try breakfast but pancakes look great;] , still waiting on my self but I like the modern woodsman thing but to much plastic in the wood;] other than that-the staff is friendly ... Can't wait for those pancakes¢¢¢¢¢¢€"€₱₱₱₱¢₱¢4££₹;]
Fantastic room - very light with the floor to ceiling window in the room. Hot breakfast included with a good variety of food. Quiet and enjoyable place to stay at a good rate - no high up charges like local casinos (no resort fees).
We usually stay here when in Reno with our dog. This time we didn't travel with him. Front desk person complained to us about having dogs in the hotel. She wasn't very welcoming or friendly. Breakfast has declined and was burnt coffee and poor quality muffins. I'm so sorry to see the quality go like this.
A very clean and welcoming hotel, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the casinos. Room was exceptional, comfortable bed, good shower, everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I'll be back, the next time I'm in the area.
Warm, quiet, comfortable, clean, safe. Everything worked well for me. Parking lot was well lit at night. Because they had aTesla charger, I could charge all night gaining seven miles per hour and forego having to charge at a Tesla Supercharger the next morning.
We have stayed at the Best Western Plus in Sparks, NV before. and will again if we get to that part of the country. The accommodations and the service were modern and efficient, and we definitely felt comfortable.
Husband and I very upset what this Best Western plus Sparks hotel in Reno. We left our 6pound yorkie at room to meet a friend and to eat at Nugget can't bring a dog. And when we come back we're lock out in the room! So we went to desk why our keys don't work? they said we broke their pet policy by leaving our dog in the room. They don't like my dog barking. The thing is they should not locks out! So we canceled one more day stay went to find another hotel left right way we don't get stay that nite.its Okey for them keep one day charge and 25 pet fee Not very happy. We stayed alots time in other pets friendly hotel But no problem. We make mistake to picks this BW to stay for my Blowout Bingo last Sat Oct29 in Nugget Because was near.
Stayed 2 nights during a BUSY weekend. Had a great stay. Debra the manager was just awesome and we loved her! They handled the sold out crowd beautifully. Pool & spa were closed, which was a bummer, but we will stay here again for sure!
Breakfast was very good. This is the main reason we stay at the Besy Western Plus. Site was very clean. Close to the freeway. Very nice patio and fire to sip coffee or wine by! The location was perfect for us because it was pretty much in the middle of the places we were visiting.
I was very happy with the cleanliness of the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful and I was glad to be able to bring my large Golden Retriever with us. My only request would be to provide an area where the dog could poop without having to walk on rocks.
I booked 2 rooms for 2 friends, guaranteeing with my credit card. My name was on the reservations, along with each of one of their names. If I just put the reservation in their names the hotel would cancel the reservation and rebook at the current price. I instructed my friends to submit their own credit card upon check in. The front desk people were inexperienced, and negligent, meanwhile charging for the same room twice. I was charged for the full reservation of the other booked room, even after my friend tried submitting his credit card twice. Needless to say, the hotel was difficult and unaccommodating. Trying to straighten it out was frustrating and took more than 10 phone calls to the hotel, leaving messages, and waiting for management to return my calls. It was embarrassing having to speak to my friends about it. The hotel was at fault but took no responsibility. I can't say enough bad things about this unaccountable hotel and our negative experience. Noone should ever have to expereince such poor treatment! Both friends said they would never stay at this hotel again (and neither should you).
Nice big hotel with modern rooms and front lobby. We stayed only for 1 night so didn't have time to explore. Overall satisfied but the AC was somewhat loud. We checked in at 10pm and they had complimentary fruits at the front desk to satisfy our late hunger :) It is about 10 minutes max from the airport and we left our car there for 7$ per night to use their parking lot. Shuttle kinda runs 24/7 and early morning or late night shuttle runs are done by the nice head of security man. Great value
Great staff. Only thing the lady checking me in, told me that the pool was heated. There was hardly any water in the pool and the hot tub was nearly empty. Other than that the room was very clean and the location is awesome. Please try the Mexican drive-thru next door food was amazing.
Great weekend stay at this Best Western. Staff was very helpful with excellent customer service. Jerred at the front desk was outstanding! Room was extremely clean! Breakfast and breakfast service needs a little improvement, but still a good option. Hotel was clean, safe, with free parking. Don't let the area intimidate you. The hotel is in a commercial area. You will have to rive for food options outside the hotel, but parking and the hotel itself seemed very safe.
The Best Western Plus was a great hotel with pool and hot tub, clean rooms and a delicious breakfast. They have a 24 hour free shuttle. The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. We will definitely stay here again. Our other friends wished they stayed at the Best Western. Their accommodations were problematic (no air conditioning, no water, no breakfast, no pool). Best Western had it all. Thank you and see you again.
They had breakfast with everything the rooms were extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable I have a bad back and those beds did not hurt me I would stay at this specific best western again! Considering what I was charged for the holiday they made it worth my trip
Excellent place to stay! Highly recommend!! Everyone was very professional sweet and caring. Everything was so clean! I loved the pool! I loved the breakfast I loved the 24/7 shuttle service! This Bestwestern is my favorite!!
Hello, these people are crooks!! I booked a trip through Expedia. I then cancelled it a week before the deadline. I was charged anyways and they said it was a no show and charged more than the booking. I had booked a different hotel and while on my 3 day stay I called this hotel to try and get my money back but they sent me to a recording while tying up 600 dollars and who knows when I'll get it back. Don't stay at this hotel they're crooks!!
I found the room to be clean and comfortable. It took a very long time for the hot water to warm up in the shower. The internet wasn't working when I tried to log on. After going to the front desk they did get it going but went out many times during my stay. The selection at the breakfast buffet was limited but I still found something I could eat
The staff was extremely courteous and responsive. The quality of the linens was top-notch. Great thread-count on the sheets and fluffy towels. It was obvious the blankets and bed coverings had been cleaned from the last guest's use. The furnishings were tasteful and of good quality, especially the bed, which was super comfy. The room and bathroom were spotless upon my arrival. The location is ideal-- you can get anywhere in Reno within twenty minutes or less. I travelled with my (very well-behaved and sweet) American Pit Bull Terrier and she, too was welcomed without judgment and I did not have to pay anymore than the usual pet fee for her stay. Pet waste bags and disposal stations were conveniently located, and by the looks of the grass, guests are mindful about using them. The complimentary breakfast was hot, plentiful, replenished for freshness and provided a nice opportunity to socialize with other guests. Also, everyone I ran into in the elevator was friendly, a good indication that they, too were happy with their accommodations. I would highly recommend Best Western Plus in Sparks to anyone I know coming to the area.
We really enjoyed are staying! The room was very clean and spacious. Mattress was very comfortable! Overall the place it's recommended because it's true what it says in the descriptions. Breakfast is included, and we got an extra 20% discount at Denny's just for staying in the hotel.
We were all satisfied with our stay here,Our first time here & we would definitely come back & stay again,Location was very clean,Housekeeping was very friendly Great service over all,Great location not far from all the excitement..
Great staff. Good location. Comfy bed. Clean room. Quiet room. Good HVAC for comfort. Ample parking. Nice swimming area. Close to many things. Felt safe even though it is close to the freeway. A Denny's is within a short walk.
Great stay in every way. ThankYOU great location pool hot tub cold breakfast fitness room. Friendly staff clean rooms. This was a buisness trip although I would bring my family to this location. ThankYOU again
Upon arriving we were helped right away. They tried their best to get are party on the same floor. Walking in to the lobby it was very clean. Our room was very nice, clean and large. Updated decor was a nice change. It was a very quite hotel. We could not hear anyone above us or next to us, which was so nice. The only complaint I had was the price. Wish it was lower compared to area hotels. But you do get what you pay for. So overall this hotel was an A for us.
The hotel looks like it has been nicely redone. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. The bed was nice and the location is very good in northern Reno metro area. Some down points were: (1) wifi is free but we could not get wifi easily in our rooms, (2) the free breakfast was tasty but not very plentiful and the food server was constantly out of food, plates, etc. (3) they do allow pets but they don't stop pets from sitting right next to people's plates of breakfast food. You eat on a sofa with a coffee table and the dogs were trying to sniff my plate of food. (Sorry. but GROSS!) The pool and hot tub are extremely nice with good hours. Business center has two computers and printer. It is about the best deal if you are in northern Reno or headed up north toward Spanish Springs or Pyramid Lake. The manager was kind.
This best western is perfect. Great location for sparks/Reno. Friendly staff rooms are nice. They have a floor for pet owners. I stay here often for business and have never had any issues. This place is always packed due to events in the area so make sure you book ahead.
Angela and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. The only negatives.....we had an accessible room as both my mother and I have mobility challenges and the room was on the 5th floor at the end of the hallway farthest from the elevator. They are not the only hotel like this but why have accessible rooms on higher floors and so far from the elevator. What happens in the event of a fire when the elevators don't work? Also bed are higher which makes it hard to transfer from a wheelchair. Still recommend the hotel just beware if you need an accessible room.
I stay here approximately 50 times a year. I am never disappointed. They have comfortable soft beds to comfortable soft linens. You can get 20% off with your room key at Denny's 2 buildings to the east. This hotel even has a dedicated pet floor to keep them all on one floor. The breakfast needs improvement but I believe they will get that improved one day.
This hotel is exceptional if you're traveling for a sports tournament. My son and his team traveled there for a baseball tournament and it has all the amenities you need, especially a laundry room in the hotel and food nearby. Definitely would stay here again!
We stayed in one of their king suites, and it was very nice. Plenty of room to relax in the living room area (two comfy armchairs plus a couch, a work desk, a coffee table), spacious bedroom and bathroom. A TV in each room, and a door separating the bedroom from the living area. Very nice. The couch was a sofabed, too, I believe, so it would work well for a small family. Large floor-to-ceiling windows look out on the city and the surrounding desert hills. Beautiful sunset and nighttime city view. Blackout curtains worked well for sleeping in. The included hot breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day. Toast, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, mini omelettes, and sausage. Coffee, milk, juice. The internet was sufficient for typical use for work or pleasure (watching videos, etc). We didn't use the pool and hot tub, but it was nice knowing it was there. The fitness room looked great, although we got our exercise out hiking in the Nevada hills. The location of the hotel was nice if you want to be a little away from the hubbub of the main city. Nice and quiet, near the railyard, with easy access to freeways and such. Still plenty of restaurants nearby (although not really in walking distance). They did offer a shuttle ride to anywhere in a 3-mile radius, so that's a nice feature, too. The mini fridge in our room didn't have a freezer section, so don't expect to be able to freeze a gel pack to keep your picnic food cold. But we bought ice (or could have used ice from the hotel ice machine) so not a big problem.
I always enjoy staying at this hotel. The rooms are very nice. I really enjoy the view from the upper floors of this hotel. The staff are always very nice too. The hotel parking has been secure. I would recommend this Best Western !
We stay at this property twice yearly, for the past 5 years. We always enjoy the cleanliness, & comfort of the spacious guest rooms since we travel with our dogs. We highly recommend this property for a good night's sleep and convenience.
The rooms are clean and fresh -- even on the pet floor. All personnel is friendly and professional. The grab and go breakfast is very good. As of May, 2022 the restaurant is still empty, but there is a burrito place and Denney's within walking distance.
Stayed here one night on my road trip. Good location right off freeway. Pet-friendly at reasonable pet fee. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was new and very clean, comfortable bed. Quiet.
Shaun, Deanna, Shania, Phil, Jim, Nicole, Debra, and Phillip made this the best visit that my husband and me ever had at any hotel. SHAUN was at the front desk when we checked in and he welcomed us with such genuine enthusiasm and sincerity. We are truck drivers and seldom receive a kind reception anywhere. We appreciated and received this treatment for the duration of our stay. Phil the shuttle bus driver is wise and full of insight on life, which my husband and I like. Phillip, the custodian, kept the breakfast area clean during breakfast and beyond. He was constantly cleaning during his shift.
Get the actual cost of the room before booking. They hit you with HIGH, UNDISCLOSED fees. The hotel is a joke for cleanliness, breakfast is a “get the heck out of here” kind of bag lunch garbage. Would not stay there ever again.
Very nice, clean, and comfy. With easy on and off interstate the location is good. It was very clean and a I had a great nights sleep! The guest services were good, the showers were a bit of a pain to turn on without getting a blast of the wrong temp water, but the of the bathroom was great!
This is one the better BW hotels. The staff is very friendly, the hotel is clean and great amenities. Easy check-in and parking. Breakfast is still down but was good before covid. WiFi is very slow, shouldn't be this way in any big hotel chain in 2022.
The hotel and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel has a lot of amenities. They don't have a typical hot breakfast but they do have a grab-and-go breakfast. Which has lots of good choices for everyone. The front desk people are extremely friendly and helpful. They were able to check me in early and let me stay past the check out time. It was extremely helpful due to my early flight in a d a late flight out. They also provide shuttle service to and from the airport. If you have a car then there a lot of places to eat within a 3-mile radius. And if you don't have a car then the hotel provide shuttle service to any restaurant within a three-mile radius. I would highly recommend this hotel!!!
Beautiful, convenient, excellent staff, well maintained, pet friendly. Our room was quiet, clean and complete. Check in clerks were very busy, but maintained a professional, helpful and friendly attitude. The lot is well lit, elevators were fast and quiet.
They went above expectations with friendly service, water and fruit available anytime. Breakfast was adequate, but do have brown bags for people on the go. The only drawback is no pet-free rooms. Woke up with hives and itching both nights I was there due to allergies with previous pets in room.
We checked in to the BW in the evening, got our room key and went to the room. We were surprised because the room was a mess, bed unmade etc so we returned to the desk immediately. We were given another room which was acceptable. The next day our supplies were not replenished, the room was not made… disappointing.
We have family in Reno and we always make this our base camp. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is updated and the rooms are modern, the lobby is nice, but to be honest it's the staff that makes it so nice. The rooms are clean, the public areas are clean! The location is convenient to the freeway and easy to get to. And, in our opinion is reasonably priced. We highly recommend it!
Great place for the $, In future would ask for a room with a better view., Hotel is very clean and comfortable . Beds , shower , T V all GOOD. My Grandson is on a tarveling Lil League team and plays in Reno 2 or 3x a year , this hotel gives us easy access to freeways and to shop ctrs and restaurants
Besides no one wearing a mask, the stay was great. Very clean hotel, restaurant closed due to Covid, but there are two restaurants down the street. The rooms were very nice and clean. Elevators are a bit slow.
I travel for work and stay at a lot of hotels. This was probably one of my favorite hotels I have stayed in. Checked in quick check out as fast and everything was super clean.staff was very friendly as well
This hotel is always my go to place for my stay in the Reno area. Best to make reservations cause you never know when they may I be sold out Staff is always friendly and helpful. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Nice to have a large size TV . All rooms have a fridge & microwave.
Spent the night here on the way home to Washington. This is a 9 story hotel. We were on the 8th floor and had a really nice view of the mountains. The place was very well kept and clean. The beds were good and the room was very nice. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The only downside at this time is they do not serve a breakfast. Instead they had a grab and go which was really minimal. They said the reason was that they had been unable to find anyone to hire to run the breakfasts. This unit was fairly expensive so it was disappointing they did not do better for breakfast. Other than that we would stay here again
Extremely nice property and dtebbe at the front desk was lovely. The breakfast available was a grab an go but there were a lot of items to choose from. We were traveling with dogs and there was no issues at all getting a room.
Overall, the hotel was great. The room was clean, the amenities were great, and the service was top-notch. The outside of the hotel was underwhelming, but everything inside was impressive. We stayed in a 2 queen suite and it was extremely spacious and I love that it had a door between the living room and bedroom, a nice addition the a lot of hotels don't offer.
I have always stayed here when in the area, and have never been disappointed. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The check in is a breeze and they are so friendly and helpful. The work out room has great equipment for those wishing to work out. Breakfast is grab and go while in the pandemic, but fairly good.
This is a very nice hotel. We were very impressed with the quality and cleanliness. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They have a shuttle that will take you anyplace within 3 miles. We used it when we saw a concert at the Nugget Event Center to avoid all the parking issues. The shuttle driver was a lot of fun! There is a very nice pool and spa area with several tables where people were having snacks and drinks. They have bottled water, fruit and even dog biscuits out all the time. My dog approves!
Hotel was nice, staff inc housekeeping was very friendly. Very clean considering the questionable nature of industrial Sparks! We wish the restaurant was open although we enjoyed the brewpub downtown too.
We were staying for several nights with family and friends coming and going. The rooms were spacious and recently remodeled. There was lots of space to unpack and relax. All of our group was well taken care of and our stay was smooth and relaxing.
Traveled to the Reno area for a dog show. We were met by friendly staff who checked us in quickly, gave us a room near the elevator to accommodate frequent trips outside with the dogs. The room was spacious, clean, and well stocked. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Even with many others staying with dogs in other rooms, we rarely heard any noise. Nights were very quiet and peaceful. The green belt was perfect for dogs, shady, watered and mowed. Bags and bins provided for waste which was maintained regularly. Very dog friendly. While the restaurant was closed due to Covid, the Grab-N-Go breakfast had an excellent selection.
On a previous visit to the Reno area for the dog shows I was so disappointed in the stay I vowed never to return. I was finally persuaded and once again came to Reno for the dog shows. What a difference, and the major part of the difference was staying at the Best Western Plus in Sparks. Super friendly and helpful staff who clearly loved the visiting dogs, and ultra clean rooms and surroundings. Not just a place to crash but a comfortable place to stay
We stayed in the 2 queen room which was an ok size. It had a nice long desk/counter top. Was clean enough. They offered a grab and go breakfast with nice variety. Nice outdoor pool and hot tub. We got the military discount and this was a good place to stay to avoid Reno prices. Staff were friendly. Easy to get to from the interstate. I'd stay here again.
a nice place, with plenty of parking and multiple luggage carts. Outdoor pool and hot tub nice. Fitness room limited to some cardio machines and dumbells. Limited but adequate breakfast due to COVID. I would stay again.
this was the only hotel that wasn't booked it was a little bit pricey but definitely worth it. Very quiet and clean hotel, the room was very big and clean checking in and checking out was also a breeze.
Great Location, excellent room, super friendly and helpful front desk staff. Everything worked and was clean in my hotel room, one of the nicer ones I've stay in on trips in recent years. would highly recommend.
This hotel wasn't terrible but I would warn people if they want to bring their fur babies to this hotel… The room smelled heavily of urine and there were a few things that didn't work properly, but it wasn't a terrible experience. Just need to improve in some areas and maybe clean better.
It felt like a very quiet place, which was nice. We needed to accomplish some work while we were out there, so the small business center and internet access was nice. Additionally, I felt like the hotel was within easy driving distance to things (not walking distance).
Walking into the lobby and seeing how clean it was was a great first impression. Checking in was easy. The staff was very nice and helpful. When I walked in my room I was VERY pleased!! Super clean!!! My kind size bed was soooooo comfortable!!!! And the shower omg!!! I melted in that shower!! Super pleased!!! Everything was perfect!!
We booked this property for a family visit. The rooms are modern and clean. We used the pool and hot tub. Overall great value. Only disappointment was the coffee in the lobby ran out early. The grab and go breakfast had a god selection.
The BW has been completely remodeled and the rooms are spacious with all the modern conveniences. The show is a walk in, a great upgrade from the tub/shower combination! Breakfast selection was a Grab and Go, but with a variety of cereal, yogurt and microwable breakfast sandwiches.
Love that everything worked! Big hotel but check in was quick and easy. Staff including Christina were very helpful, and informative. This place was packed with 12 and 13 y baseball players and we didn't hear anything! Wonderful
Upon check-in, shower had water/stopped up from previous guest, DISGUSTING! Front desk LIED, said NO holds, they charged my card for stay PLUS another $600+ hold above full stay charge, they refused to remove hold!
We stayed at this hotel for one night but room was nice, spacious and clean and staff is really nice at this place. My family loved staying there. We will definitely visit this place in future whenever we are in that area.
This hotel was a perfect stop-over on the way to Utah. Walking distance is the Sparks Marina park which is quite beautiful and a great place to walk the dog before heading back on the road. The rooms were spacious and the grab-and-go breakfast was fulling. The whole family gave this hotel a thumbs up.
It's not worth almost $200 per night. Apparently it's been remodeled but the rooms are very plain and windows don't open which I didn't like. One particular front desk person was extremely cold and unfriendly and was not at all interested in helping in any way. Very snotty attitude. Would I stay here again? Probably not.
Stopped for some sleep. Woke up by security because our room and the one next door were flooding and sewage appeared to be coming from the drain. We were moved timely, management cared about our experience and took care of our stay. Pet friendly and nice staff here. Some things are just out of your control and the staff did what they could to make it right.
Great Value, clean and friendly. The decor was fine and the laundry room was clean. However, 3 out of the 6 machines were broken. Staff was friendly and greeted me right at the door as I went to check in. I will definitely come back to this location.
I came here after leaving a competitor hotel near the airport the same night that was dirty. I loved how clean and large that the rooms are here. Very comfortable! The breakfast options are excellent!
Clean, modern, quiet site. Hotel restaurant was closed due to Covid, but Burrito shop and Dennys just across hotel parking lot, and restaurants of all sorts within a 5 minute drive. Hotel location a bit out of the way, but the big plus is there is not a casino, which results in a smoke free environment! Also pet friendly to boot!!
This particular Best Western is in great shape. Convenient location with restaurants near by. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff working were both friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in the future, I can highly recommend.
The hotel property is well maintained, and the room was clean and more than big enough. The breakfast is nothing special but I did like the coffee in the k-cups. Staff was friendly and helpful. The area surrounding the hotel isn't as rough as it appears to be, but not scenic. Bed was great, shower functioned well but took a minute to figure out how to turn it on without getting hit with cold water. Elevators take some time due to COVID-19 restrictions.
This hotel is a hidden gem off of I-80! The hotel is recently renovated with beautiful décor and comfy beds! The staff was excellent and they offer many to-go breakfast options. I have stayed at a few other hotels recently and they only offered a bag with a granola bar, fruit, and water. This hotel offers sandwiches, burritos, crustables, cereal, milk, and yogurt all included in the room rate! Would highly recommend!
Excellent place to stay. Fantastic room, and very comfortable bed. Staff is excellent. The site itself is in excellent shape, well appointed. Pool and spa, and a good workout room. Would highly recommend.
This is a perfectly acceptable BW. Very clean and well appointed rooms. Good beds and pillows. We were surprised at how quiet it was for sleeping it was considering how close to the highway, airport, and industrial area it was. The downside is the location. Freeway close, but the views are definitely not to die for. If one is on the backside of the hotel, just look up from the industrial park and you can see the mountains : ) Breakfast selection is limited due to pandemic, but okay. There is a Denny's within walking distance.
We needed a stopover in the Reno area on a drive from San Francisco to Salt Lake City. This place had good reviews so I booked it without thinking too much about it. It ended up being by far the best night of sleep we had during our trip. The room was large, well-appointed, comfortable, and QUIET. We had put in a request for a quiet room, which normally goes ignored by most hotels, since we are light sleepers. This hotel actually responded to the request and gave us a perfectly situated room at the end of the hall. We had bad sleep in lots of places as the road trip went on and we kept saying we wish we could go back to the Best Western Plus in Sparks. I wish all hotels were like this.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while we were in the Reno, Nevada area. The room was very clean and looked renovated. It had a huge TV. I cannot tell you about the amount of channels because the one it was on was so good that I never even changed it. It was called Freeform. It had Disney movies on. Everything was in great working order (except the shower drain was slow). Even during COVID, the morning breakfast had a great variety of foods, including a hot egg sandwich. I would be happy to stay here again.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The bed was the more comfortable than my bed at home. The only problem I had with this hotel was allergic reaction due to a pet that had previously been in the room. This is a pet friendly hotel so if you have allergies to dogs or cats you should consider another hotel. We were originally in a room next to a small dog. It yipped and whined constantly. When I complained we were moved to a quieter room. I am allergy sensitive to dogs and cats but am not usually bothered by dogs. Our room must have had pets in it very recently because I became congested while sleeping. An improvement would be to have rooms that never have pets in them.
This place is perfect for a great price! Even during the Covid period. The place is clean and very convenient to all places in the Sparks/Reno area. We usually visit several times a year and I can't say enough of what a great job they do here.
Hotel was clean, staff were friendly, and guests and staff appeared to all wear masks when in public spaces. Some amenities are reduced due to the pandemic but they did a good job of making up for them. The location is a more industrial area but it is very close to some shopping centres and a small lake.
Awesome for the value great staff very clean easy to get to convenient location to everything my trip was for an unexpected family medical emergency and had been a long week so to be able to do an stop was great
Booked a One bedroom King bed. When going to check in we had realized they had changed the room to a two bedroom queen and hadn't notified us of the change. I kindly asked the front desk as to why and she told us they were booked and had no other rooms available. When asked why we weren't noticed upon arrival or before checking in prior she said she would get the supervisor and throughout my stay I was never spoken with by any supervisor. Stay was great. Just very unprofessional how we were not notified prior about our rooms.
This hotel is conveniently located right off the freeway. Once inside it is very up to date and clean. All personnel were friendly and helpful. Precautions were made for Covid safety. I would highly recommend for the price!
Excellent Location, close to I-80 freeway, close to resturants Quiet comfortable & Clean - Rooms were good size with mini fridge and microwave The hotel was very clean, hallways to room clean and the room was very clean Bed was comfortable
I booked online with my BW App, and check in and out was SUPER FAST! The room was beautiful and very clean! All the staff we engaged with were very friendly and helpful! Despite the mandated restrictions on serving breakfast, they really tried to provide a good 'to-go' option. We'll be back!
The crew is always willing, within reason, to help with any needs and questions we may have. The rooms are always clean and attended to. I was able to leave my key in the room and hurry to my next destination with no delay.
I work from California to Nevada on business and this hotel in very comfortable and quiet and I would recommend it to everyone.Don't take my word on it,come and see for yourself and I know you will not be disappointed.
Staff were not helpful, not wearing their mask correctly. Staff allowed other customers to enter the hotel with out their mask on or not on correctly. Our room had hair everywhere. I am happy we disinfected the hotel room we stayed in before we utilized it because it appeared it had not been sanitized or disinfected. Basic cleaning. Hair in the shower and bathroom area. We had a fire alarm go off after exiting the building the staff did not inform us that it was a false alarm we stood outside for 20 minutes. Staff claimed they only had one person working that morning and that is why we were not notified.
I booked this hotel after seeing some pretty good reviews. The hotel was very nice, rooms were large and quiet. Never really had to wait for the elevator either. I was relocating across the country for work so I had my cat with me. When I called the hotel they were happy to allow my cat for the small pet fee. Having partial laminate floors was great for pet cleanliness. It was a bummer the restaurant was closed, but having some breakfast bars available was nice during Covid times. I saw lots of cleaning staff throughout the lobby. I would stay here again if in the area.
Stayed at this hotel for one night on my way home from a work intervention in San Francisco. The hotel is well appointed, quiet and comfortable. Staff was friendly, my room was large and clean. I will stay here again.
I am not exaggerating when I say that this was the BEST hotel we have EVER stayed in!!!! It was lovely all over from the outside, to the check in lobby, and of course to the room. My five year old walked into our suite and immediately said "This is the best day ever!" We are definitely sticking with Best Western Plus from now on especially because of it's pet friendliness and cleanliness! (:
What a wonderful surprise to run into this gem! No smoking, no gambling, ultra clean, not just pet friendly but pet welcoming, priced right hotel. Pets were included in price of room, no gauging because we had a furry family member. We had a corner room with LOTS of room! The furnishings and decor are splendid, elevators were fast, all employees were friendly. Breakfast was to go bags because of COVID but had a variety of items. Extremely pleased with stay.
Pros: Stayed for 4th July weekend at this hotel and it was worth it. Originally planning on staying downtown but this is just a very short drive away from it. Its a larger size hotel for best western standards with several floors. The rooms look spotless and may have been recently renovated and were very quiet. Heather was there to check me in and was very kind and friendly as well as the other staff. Pool was open for use, which is good for a nice swim. They still provide a grab and go breakfast bag. Parking was very ample and did not have any issues finding parking even on the busy weekend. Cons: Not many. I always travel with my Roku or Fire stick to stream my shows when im watching TV but the TVs installed do not have an available HDMI port which was a bummer so i was stuck channel surfing till i found something. One of the nights we had just returned from a night out at the casino and within no more than 2 minutes we had an agent call the room to keep it down and security knocking on our door, we explained that we had literally just been in the lobby and no way it could have been us. As we were walking from the elevator to the room we did hear a loud room which was down the hall which im sure security could have figured out that someone had complained about the wrong room.
My wife and I stayed here during a business trip. The rooms are very large, modern and clean. We asked for a room facing away from the freeway for additional quiet. It was quiet. We had a problem where the shower head flew off and nearly hit my wife in the head. Rather than put it back on, we reported it to staff who tried to fix it. When they could not, we were provided with another room. Both Michelle and Desk Supervisor Deborah were very concerned about our safety and even gave a discount for our troubles. All of the staff was very professional and we, otherwise, enjoyed this hotel.
Stayed here during the 4th of July travels. Front desk was solid, very helpful. Pool was even open for the 4th of July during Covid-19. Room was on the back side of property away from the interstate. Very quiet, very clean, beds were very nice. Dog friendly and there is a super cool Marina Park about 2 miles away, a must for your pooch! Only slight complaint would be the price...not really budget. Great stay, I actually used them again passing through on the way home.
This was a perfect hotel for business or visiting family in the area of Sparks without having to stay in a Casino Hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating with requests. The room and property was well maintained and very clean. When my stay was extended, the reservationist helped me in getting the same room due to my concerns with COVID even though they do clean each room immaculately. Breakfast was not available due to restrictions but there was a pre-bagged morning snack that was fine for a quick bite on the go to a meeting.
I wish every hotel was this great. The staff was beyond wonderful. It was very clean and keep. If we had an issue it was taken care of right away. Other hotels can take a look at what they are doing and mimic them. The pool was cool and sparkling clean. I just wish the restaurant was open but i understand with the Covid you can't be to careful. I would gladly stay next time we go to Reno.
The Hotel is Awesome in itself but the staff is what makes this place the Bomb. You don't Want to stay anywhere else If You are in the Reno/Sparks area. Location is Great & there's plenty of things to do!!!
I was very impressed with this property's “pet friendliness”; they don't just “allow pets”, they are actually very welcoming of pets as evidenced by their devotion of a whole floor of pet friendly rooms, dog biscuits on the counter, and placard at reception to announce their pet friendliness. While I do not agree that my one dog warrants an extra $25 charge, I will say that, in comparison to other hotels, I was more willing to pay the fee to receive the pet hospitality.
The staff was excellent. It was very clean, check in was a breeze. I actually overslept and the hotel was very accomidating and gave me a late check out time. I will be staying at that location everytime I am in town.
When we real we stay at Best Western because we have a dog. This is one of the nicest BW hotels. Very clean spacious rooms with TV, refrigerator, microwave and desk. Good size bathroom too. Close to restaurants and stores near the highway. Great grass area for pets and good parking. Very affordable. F Dad using the coronavirus the restaurant & bar is closed. Very nice lobby area. I would highly recommend staying here.
Always trying to stay here while traveling to Reno. Rooms and everything look great, clean and new. In every Best Western have always seen a fridge and microwave for me to use. while in others u gotta pay an extra fee for one of them.
I would recommend this pet friendly hotel to everyone. Being pet friendly, it was cleaner then most hotels that don't allow pets. Great food, clean rooms and comfortable beds, also water pressure was good and I'm very picky about that. I will always stay here when I come to Reno Sparks Nevada.
We stopped for an overnight, passing thru road stop. Easy on, easy off I-80. The staff very helpful. Clean environment! We have used the hotel in the past and will continue the next time in the area. Thank you, keep smiling!
I love Best Western plus hotels. This one is not my fave. Right off the 80 but poorly insulated and windows are not thick enough. Heard traffic all night , room next doors TV, people in hallway..... front desk staff was nice. Nothing nearby and can't walk to anything. Okay for one night I guess but wouldn't stay again. Reno on lockdown so my fave casino hotel closed. But if you want sleep, find another hotel. Bed is comfortable and clean nice modern rooms. Extra points there.
Stayed here a little over a year ago and it was outdated. The staff was excellent but the lobby and room were out of touch. New upgrades made a HUGE difference! Staff was outstanding and very attentive.
Such a cute Best Western Plus! We always stay at BWP's & this one met all our expectations. Friendly staff, clean & cute rooms, quiet which is huge for us. 10/10 would recommend. Don't be put off by the location, it's in an industrial area so doesn't look fancy from the outside but it's beautiful inside & very well taken care of.
since renovation this hotel is impressive all around. from gym to new lay out great t.vs annd beds, i liked that they shuttle you to GSR casino and resort on request. only down side is no free breakfast.
Highly recommend. Rooms was clean, big and they have lots of pillows. I was in pillow heaven, lol. Rooms are big. We used the restaurant and brought food to our room the food was very good they could use a few more choices on the menu. There is no free breakfast anymore, which was disappointing but what are you gonna do.
It's newly remodeled. Big TVs clean rooms. Shower door kinda sucks but over all water pressure is great and bathrooms are clean. I stay here on business trips but would stay here if I came with my family.
Very Clean, remodeled and quiet. Prices are reasonable. There is no true grass area for your pets, hotel is next to a place that looks like a refinery, but the rooms are on the other side....next to freeway noise (but hardly noticeable). Staff friendly and price is great. No continental breakfast. Rooms big and come with microwave/refrigerator an small Keurig. A VERY simple clean hotel.
Continental Breakfast use to be included....not any more. Now you have to go to the newly remodeled and newly opened restaurant for the same breakfast and there is a charge of $8.95 per person. What the heck.
Great hotel.... we travel a lot...... one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in...... definitely recommend......rooms were large, clean, quiet and bed was extremely comfortable..... whenever we return to the area, we will definitely stay here
Great place good food great rooms and beds very new and modern living spaces. Make sure to take all of your personal items and refuse room service. They will take your belongings if you accidentally leave them behind and apparently do not report left items to front desk. Just beware and you will enjoy your stay.
The Best Western in Sparks is newly remodeled and so nice and clean. They allow dogs in this hotel which is hard to find in the Reno Sparks area. I would even go so far to say that this hotel welcomes our dogs! This hotel is so clean and the bedding is very clean and white. They offer a simple but nice breakfast and tea in the evening.
Room was surprisingly large, well-appointed, modern decor and very clean. Bed and bath linens were good quality. Plenty of storage in large wardrobe and dresser. I stayed on New Year's Eve and the hotel was within 10 min of Downtown Reno for the fireworks and casinos, but far enough to be quiet and away from the crowds. Free breakfast was ok quality, but in a weird location (meeting room) - I assume because of renovations.
The rooms were spacious, clean and very nice. Microwave, frig and coffee in room Wifi was great. Breakfast was good and served hot food. Had a nice gym you could use. For the value was a great place. Would highly recommend.
Bad Breakfast, not enough seating, no hot food , no food for kids, seating for 20 people in big banquet tables, server won't help, to busy flirting with table of men. Very bad experience , no service no help, bad location next to train tracks and next to fuel tanks
This hotel has been renovated a few times but BW has done the best job. When they are finished with the restaurant/lounge it will be a great property. The rooms are very comfortable. The interstate noise can be an issue if you are in a room on the north side.
I travel to Reno, Nv once a month for business and I almost always stay at this hotel. Not only is the hotel very clean, but the amenities and the staff are great. You are treated with both respect and care. Most importantly, the rooms are incredible comfortable and functional for long stays. It is definitely worth the price. I can't wait until their new restaurant is complete!
Eventhough this property is near a rail road yard, it is quiet, clean and newly refurbished. The showers are wonderful!! The breakfast is simple with a lot of variety. We will return to this hotel in the future.
Professional staff and excellent service upon checking in. The king room was very spacious, comfortable bed, clean, and had a good shower. The breakfast was basic but good. Pet friendly but like most places, there was no designated area for the pets and they had to do their business in the rocks of the flowerbeds. That was our only complaint.
We are from the Bay Area and we had a 4 hour drive to Reno. Before, we didn't have a clue where to stay so I looked up hotels near by. This was the first hotel I called and Vicky made it so easy for us! She was so helpful with all the questions we had! When we arrived to the hotel at midnight, Heather was exceptional! She made us feel so welcomed and checked us in fast and smoothly. I also appreciated her handing me my amenity bag. She's sweet and a excellent night audit agent! The room that we stayed in was a king suite and it was spacious (a studio type of vibe), which was nice. The bathroom was big and nice (I wish there was a bathtub :/ ) The following day I requested green choice service (housekeeping will only replace your dirty towels and give you fresh ones and take out your trash. I left the sign outside my door and called the front desk to remind them and they never came in the room :/ it was not a big deal but I had to come down to the front desk from the 9th floor. I guess next time I will have to call the front desk early in the morning to remind them. Overall, our stay was so comfortable and we didn't want to go back home. We enjoyed our city lights view. There are 2 walking distance restaurants which was very convenient :) we will definitely come back to this hotel. They give reasonable rates!
This is a newer hotel. They are still under a bit of construction as they finish the attached restaurant. They have a free airport shuttle. The front desk personnel were very friendly, efficient, and helpful. We had to go to the airport at 5:00 am but the driver was ready for us on time. The room was large and had a stand up shower with a sliding glass door.
This hotel exceeded all expectations. It is newly remodeled and exceptionally clean and fresh. We travel with our dog and this property is particularly pet friendly. The staff was friendly and quite helpful and check in/out was quick and efficient. We will definitely stay again!
Checked in past midnight due to unforeseen circumstances and found this hotel less than a mile. Great price, with hospitable staff and comfortable room/beds. I would definitely stay here again given the fact we travel from SF to Boise and it serves for a great mid stop rest.
had an error in my reservations, desk clerk was unable/unwilling to help, connected me to the managers voicemail and 3 days later still not even the courteously of returning my call. I find that unacceptable and disappointing. But there are a lot of nice choices in Reno for my next trip I will go back to the Nugget.
Very clean. The beds are great and climate control works awesome. The hotel is right next to a highway that is noisy. The noise is constant and for a light sleeper could be a problem. The breakfast is nothing to write home about. Food and hot beverage were Luke warm. Staff at front desk were very friendly and helpful. If I were to choose this again, I would have to be in a room away from highway. Should I have to be on guard for this?
Newly remodeled and very nice inside. Extremely clean. Bed and pillows very comfortable. This property is right alongside the freeway, and traffic noise is heavy, however, I would stay here again. I'll take cleanliness over traffic noise.
I am so glad I chose this hotel! The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well. The staff kept my room very clean and fresh. The staff was most attentive, well trained, and polite. I would definitely consider staying here again, especially as they are putting in a restaurant soon.
The hotel has been going through renovations and looks wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was clean and had a great view. Would recommend. As I find with most BW the breakfast options are wide to accommodate any dietary need you might have.
Great place, mostly. Seems quite new and spacious, and my room was great. I slept soundly. My only two complaints are: 1, the counter girl wore so much perfume I literally smelled her before I was inside the building, and while waiting for the elevator... on the third floor!; 2, the breakfast area is horrible- scratched and dirty tables, very little selection, and what was available wasn't good. If I want a powdered egg scrambled egg breakfast on a paper plate and plastic utensils, I'll go back to the Middle East in the Infantry unit I was in. This nickel breakfast shouldn't be happening at a new BW Plus. Some teenager kid seemed to be working the kitchen area, but wasn't wearing a uniform, let alone a name tag, so I'm unsure. Topping off the 'breakfast' area on the way out you get to walk by a strategically located red wicker basket with "TIPS" on it, which I refused to participate in. Have the checkin girl not smell like a corner whore and fix this breakfast area and this'll be a five star review.
The hotel has been recently remodeled and is very modern. It comes with a full hot breakfast which was great for a traveling family. The only thing i would take note of is if you are a light sleeper it is very close to the freeway and you can hear all of the traffic passing by.
I was very impressed with the decor inside this property. It was very inviting and relaxing. The rooms were clean and inviting as well. We only stayed one night but I wanted to stay longer just by entering the room. The decor was very inviting to me. Then there was the beds!! They were so comfortable!! Definitely a good nights sleep. Now, I want to check out more BW just for their beds!!
The place has been recently remodeled and everything is like new. We were in an accessible room and it was spacious, the bed was comfy, Keurig coffee maker worked well. The walls are freshly painted, carpet was new, new 55" tv. Breakfast was fine , bacon eggs, yogurt ,cereal, pastries and a newfangled pancake making machine that make two fresh pancakes in two minutes. All you have to do is push a button. When checking in the spring on our front door broke. I called the front desk and it was fixed in a half an hour. This is our second time staying here.
Nice clean remodeled property. Wifi ok. TV ok. Room nice and clean. Comfortable bed. My room faced the freeway and I didn't hear freeway noise. Hot breakfast was good. Nothing fancy, but met my needs and was satisfied. Definitely stay again if in the area.
I found this hotel through the website "bringfido.com" because I was traveling with a puppy and wanted a place to stay that wasn't going to charge over $100 for it. At the time of my stay, the pet fee was $25 which is great if you have a non-shedding, potty trained pup and are literally only there to sleep. The surrounding area of this hotel seems industrial, maybe blue collar is the best description. I arrived late at night and only saw the highway and giant petroleum tanks or something like that on my approach to the hotel, so I didn't have high expectations. I was pleasantly surprised once I walked in! They are in the process of a remodel and the lobby was beautiful, modern and clean. Staff was quick and friendly. If you're traveling with a dog, they have a gift at check-in (food/water bowl and treat bag). My room was on the second floor because that's where pets go. It did not smell like animals and my room was spotless. I am not a frequent pet traveler and will often avoid hotels that allow them because I don't want the odor or pet hair around, but this hotel is doing it right. Everything I saw was super clean and pristine. I can only imagine the other floors being better. I did not experience all the hotel had to offer because I was there just to sleep and check out early. If you're someone who likes Starbucks, it's a 10 min drive. If you're someone who likes to have bottled water and snacks in the room, 5 min drive to gas stations with convenience stores. If you need a place with good bedding, coffee and fridge in room and free breakfast, you've got it here. If this hotel is in the area you'll need to be in Reno, it's worth a look!
This hotel is in the perfect location. The rooms are very nice. Has a nice modern look about it. Most of the staff is fantastic and very helpful. The bathrooms are spacious. Beds are very comfortable slept very well here.
The hotel exceeded our expectations . The quality of service and luxury of rooms were of a very excellent standard. The rooms are spacious, clean and luxurious. The hotel is close enough to the airport to make it worthwhile to stay there.
This was the second time I stayed at this hotel and I was just as happy as I was as the first time. They have a nice high speed elevator so as long as your dogs don't mind going in the elevator getting to the room was super easy. They are in the process of completing a remodel but the rooms are nice and clean, very modern. Breakfast was good, because of the remodel they will bring you out eggs and bacon. Definately will stay here again.
It's a new opening and are still getting things organized and open but it was very nice hotel. Easy to get to. Close to restaurants and strip malls. The internal restaurant wasn't open but it should be soon.
Hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and helpful, the only suggestion I have would be to ask about the extras. I spent 60ish dollars over the weekend on breakfast when they have a free breakfast available that I was never informed of.
I'll take a little more time for this review so I can transmit my ups and downs so you can make your best decision. I don't normally rate a hotel as Horrible, but this one had me with mixed emotions. 1. Hotel building is still being remodeled (sep 2019) but the renewed spaces are beautiful. Rooms are big comfortable and clean. Has a great pool and hot tub. So in this dimension: GREAT 2. Location: horrible. 3. Service: HORRIBLE. From the moment we stepped in, the Front desk was totally unprofessional. Later on our stay, We needed to wash our clothes and ALL (4) machines were out of order. Front desk fix (Ally) go and find another hotel....we ended up asking for the manager (for the first time in my life). She never showed up, but another lady (Nicole) with great concern and competence fixed our problem and tried to do all what was possible to make our stay better. But all her efforts stalled with #4 4. Breakfast. Absolutely the WORST experience in our 30 years of travel. The breakfast area was still being renovated (even though web page stated it would de ready late summer...we stayed end of September). The improvised space was TERRIBLY dirty and service was such a disgrace that it ruined our whole stay. Hot breakfast resumed into cold eggs (sorry we ran out of bacon). The way we were treated by the employees was embarrassing. At the closure time they started to pick up the food even though people were still eating. Nothing that was consumed was replaced and the dirt stains the microwave had, persisted all the days we stayed. (Look at the photos). So with 3 Horribles and 1 Excellent = HORRIBLE Worst of all: I am a diamond select best western member...not even that helped. Net/net: this is a leadership issue. Evidencing that management should be walking the areas and supervising, not hiding in an office. Mrs Coleen (manger) asses and replace great part of your staff, educate and train the new ones you hire. Some advice: call Reda, the manager of the Best Western Americana at Dinuba and see how much can be done with so little thru efficient leadership. I would not return to this hotel nor do I recommend it to my readers.
This hotel has been recently renovated. Room decor is modern and everything is brand new. Hotel is very clean. Location is good and bad. It is right off I80 and was not built to keep the freeway noise out, if you are sensitive to that you may want to ask for a room away from the freeway side. With it being right off the freeway it's easy to get on/off and it's very close to scheels and the galaxy shopping center.
Convenient location with nice, clean rooms. Be prepared, though, for nearly non-existent water pressure in the shower. The staff members were very pleasant and the hotel has a pleasant atmosphere. If they fix the water pressure issue, I'd stay again.
Brand new Best Western. Clean, comfy. Decent breakfast. Nice shower pressure. Friendly staff. Nit to far from mall with restaurants, target Menchies. Would stay there again. Dog friendly hotel as well
The hotel is really nice, except the breakfast is kind of strange. A lady comes out and asks if you want eggs and then prepares them. It's nice unless you're short on time. Nice thought though. The receptionist, on check in didn't offer points or a goody bag for being a Platinum member. This is the exception and not the norm for BW. Checkout receptionist was great! I booked my room about six months in advance, Luckily for me that I did as the rates went up $70 if I had waited.
great place to spend the night to see reno area, room was large and alot of great pillows on the bed newly renovated, food was good standard for hotels, --could use maybe omletees or somthing different upscale hotel
Traveling with pet and local casino hotels are not pet friendly. Convenient to Nugget and Sparks Marina. Adjacent to I-80 but rear facing rooms are reasonably quiet. Only complaint is that the $25/day pet charge is excessive especially as they promote the ability to waive daily housekeepjng.
Made a last minute reservation to stay last night. Traveling with dogs can be tough when looking for a nice hotel. This place is very nice and priced and very clean. Bed was comfortable. We all had a restful night.
This hotel has been recently renovated and the lobby and rooms are first rate. Clean, neat and slightly posh. The only draw back is the quality of the "full breakfast". I highly recommend this hotel for the service and the quality of the rooms.
This hotel has been beautifully redone, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The free, full breakfast was an added surprise, bacon, eggs, pastries, bagels, toast, juices, coffee, just to name some items. The fitness center was also convenient. The equipment was new and functioning. Definitely recommend!
This is a newly renovated hotel in the Reno Sparks area. They accommodated our very lae arrival. Large CLEAN rooms, beautifully decorated. Great breakfast , amenites and very pleasant staff. Would stay igain in a heartbeat.
No crowds or high resort fees. Pool and spa area nice and quite. Hotel has just been redone. Just a nice clean place to stay with easy access from freeway and easy access to rooms from the parking lot.
This was the best Best Western I have been to so far. The rooms were very spaces. Comfortable beds. It look like it was a new hotel. They also had a shuttle that took us to the store. That was real customer service. I will be back!
Our overall experience at this hotel was good. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and not to crowded. And the beds were really comfortable. Only down side was the amount of time it took to get from 4th floor to the lobby to check out due to the elevators being so full. Ended up finally using stairs. I will give them the benefit of the doubt because it was a holiday weekend.
Ok the hotel is newly remodeled. But they spent money on junk!! The shower head broke apart when I moved it. Its plastic junk. They just re texture the walls painted added fancy tile. Added new sinks ,toilets and some fluff. But kept the same cheap crappy doors. I think I rather stay at the nugget. At least the the shower head didn't come apart on me and I believe it was actually metal. Come on people if your going to do a remod don't go cheap. For the prices you charge you can at least buy metal shower heads that don't pull off and fall apart?? I also saw base carpet in the hall that was coming off the wall. I want to know who in the heck is doing the punch walk?? Who is running this crew of hacks? Sorry but two stars. I expected best western would have been better??
Rooms are big, clean and newly remodeled. Some of the remodel was not great as the shower doors were put on wrong and water got out and the hot/cold was switched on the faucet. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The outdoor pool was nice as well.
We stayed here for two nights. The overall appearance of the hotel and room are great. The room was also very quiet and breakfast was good. My biggest gripes would be that the rooms are not as described on the Website. We booked a 1 bedroom suite that was to include a sofa bed. There was no sofa bed, so we improvised a bit. We also requested some additional bedding from the front desk but never received it.
The hotel is currently (August 2019) being renovated for by floor. Our room was on an already renovated floor. The room was also newly renovated from the ground up with a new shower, new tiles, etc. The restaurant was being renovated.
My sister and I stayed overnight on our way home to Sacramento. We didn't realize we were coming through during Hot August Nights. Debra was the person at the front desk and she was great, so welcoming after a tough drive. When we got to our room, we could clearly hear a group next door partying- we asked for a different room and Debra found us one that was quiet all evening. We didn't try the breakfast, but we didn't stay there for breakfast- we stayed for a quiet safe place to sleep with a nice room, and that's what we got. Thanks!
So, I just stayed at this property during this past week, for 6 nights. I was not aware when I made my reservation that the property is under a major renovation as they convert from another brand hotel. The hotel will be nice when it's done. The staff is all quite friendly but several of them appeared very overworked and doing their best - but clearly tired. The common outside areas definitely need improvement. Loads of cigarette butts, general garbage, pieces of cardboard, empty airline liquor bottles, a prescription bottle (with pills in it) and worst of all, literally dozens of piles of dog feces in the lawn area, as well as in the rock areas. This was mentioned to (count 'em) 4 different staff members throughout my stay.(When I left this morning not one bit if it had been cleaned up - and had not been at all throughout my stay) They have a designated pet area but it would be good to actually have pet waste bags for guests to use. On my third day, it was brought to my attention that people are given a pet 'sack' upon check in which includes a waste bag and some treats. I am not sure why people think it's ok to let their dog crap on the grass and leave it for someone else to pick up. Continental breakfast is ok...powdered eggs and bacon served to you from the back kitchen (if they haven't run out) as well as a host of sugary carb treats, breads, instant oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. One other thing to mention is the property is in a sketchy area with some interesting characters hanging about.
The hotel is almost done with their renovations. The rooms were great very clean and very modern. The lobby was very warm and inviting the gym was well equipped. Debra the lady that was behind the counter was amazing!!! If she is not a manager she should be. She was one of the most welcoming hotel desk people I have ever met. Down side was the bar was under construction and it was a bit of a walk to the Nugget. They did offer a free shuttle service to various places including the airport. If you are looking for a great stay away from the casino world this is a good choice
The breakfast room was terrible and the food was very limited. No eggs or bacon out. Back hall ceiling was being painted so it was difficult to get luggage into and out of the hotel which is the closest entrance to the elevators.
I stayed for 5 nights. Rooms were large and very clean. Property is being renovated and it is nice and modern. Breakfast was ok, nothing fancy. Pool and spa were big and clean. Only downside to my stay was spotty WiFi service. Close to shopping, restaurants and freeways.
The hotel staff and the beauty of the hotel were great. We used the pool and hot tub and they were both very well taken care of and it was a great experience. We will definitely stay here again in the future. One of the things we wanted was a hotel without a casino. This was a perfect place and the casinos were close and there were restaurants close also.
The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The room was nice and clean. The property overall was very nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel! Everything was as expected, no problems or issues. We plan to return next year!
We had traveled all day and arrived about 7:00 pm. We found the Best Western easily and were able to get checked in and settled in quickly and easily. The jacuzzi was a welcome feature after a long day of travel.
The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and quiet - it appears they've just been remodeled. Very comfortable beds! The hotel is very pet-friendly and the staff was super helpful and accommodating. The breakfast wasn't the greatest but I'm sure that's due to the restaurant being under construction and them having to bring in food from a different location and serve in a temporary room. Other than that, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay again!
This property is just finishing a complete reno. The lobby, rooms and hallways are beautifully done. Very clean and well kept. It is easily located and close to food and shopping. The Queen beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms roomy and all new. The breakfast has a wide variety of foods to choose from. We would definitely stay here again.
The check in lady was very nice and when she found out that this was my birthday get away, she gave us each a "goodie" bag with water and snacks. We ran into issues with our keys, 1 would work and 1 not, she was so quick to make new ones. The room was beautifully redone.
We stayed overnight on our way to Lake Tahoe, we were pleasantly surprised, the hotel interior has just been remodeled Heather front office checked us in and she was very pleasant. We stayed in room 707-King room. King room was very spacious and comfortable, shower was large and glass walk in. We had room to park our boat, pool was large and nice to swim laps. The hotel is close to McCaren -this area has shopping, restaurants
all the rooms are updated with a great new look, staff was really friendly and out going.they are still doing some remodeling but was not inconvenienced at all. Pool has a fresh new look. They just need to clean up the front a little and it will be great
Desk clerks were wonderful and very knowledgeable. Rooms are perfect and clean. They are still doing some work to upgrade the hotel, but everything that is done is perfect. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
My daughter and I stayed here on a Friday night and it was very nice. The beds were comfortable the room was big. I know that they just renovated the building because they are still in the process while we were there. The one thing I couldn't figure out was the shower and why they would have it so you had to get all the way into it to turn the water on....you get soaked by cold water. Not very smart in my opinion. Oh well. I would recommend staying here and I would stay here again.
I always like to start out with the good so here goes. The lobby is super cool and the rooms are spacious and very clean. The bad (for us). We picked this place because they had a restaurant (and bar!) on site and because they had a heated pool. The restaurant/bar area was closed because it is still in construction and the pool wasn't heated and was pretty chilly. After our long drive we were looking forward to the pool and later, dinner at the restaurant. Neither happened so we were not thrilled, especially since this wasn't mentioned on the website when we booked the room.
Best place I have stayed in 6 weeks for a great price. Rooms are recently renovated and really fantastic. Great hot breakfast. Service is exceptional. Pool is really clean and views from the hot tub are spectacular.
The room are all new so everything is nice, Good AC units, The front staff were great on check in, and very friendly. you can smell some paint still but it's not that bad at all. I already like it better then the one by the airport.
We booked a block of rooms at this hotel two years in a row. When it was a Holiday Inn we had a good experience. It's since been taken over by Best Western and it was a very unpleasant experience. The rooms are new and nice (although a strong toxic smell from new carpet, etc. and no way to air it out--so don't go anytime soon if you are sensitive to chemicals). The staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful. They argued with each other in front of us at check in, and didn't have enough beds in one room and refused to help us deal with it. It proved a real problem not to have two queen beds in a room (as booked and on all of our confirmation information). When I asked for help at the front desk about having one bed instead of two, the woman was unpleasant and unkind. Offered no solutions and said no other rooms available and no rollaway beds. She said I had to take it up with the sales department, that was closed until after we checked out. I followed up twice with management after our stay and got no response. They didn't refund the $ for that room, or have the courtesy to respond to our emails. I don't recommend staying here if you care for nice human interactions when you stay at hotels. Staff here is clearly miserable and they take it out on guests.
The staff was very friendly and hard working. They were positive helpful and convenient. All questions were answered by the staff. I will definitely return and reccomend this place to friends and family.
Nasty attitude/Third party booking issue —-The treatment extended to my elderly parents on Sunday late afternoon 3/24/19 was appalling. My father has lung cancer and was traveling for necessity. I made their reservation through Hotels.com as I am not familiar with the area of hotels in Reno/Sparks that accept dogs so I used it to find this place. My parents arrived at 2:00 pm on Sunday. They were told check in is at 3:00. My mom said they could wait but isn't there something available and was told no . My mother then asked for a room on the first floor and was told since they booked through a third party they could not accommodate that request. My mother explained her daughter had booked so she didn't know about the third party and was told “ya know the internet “. My mother then called me upset and told me the story and said she had not encountered someone so rude in the past 20 years. I thought maybe she was overwhelmed and tired so I contacted the hotel myself and spoke with Heather who was the one that my mother talked to. She confirmed this story. She claimed she wasn't rude to my parents and she didn't get the list from the maids until 3:00 of what rooms are ready so could not check them in at 2:00. I travel extensively. I have NEVER experienced this kind of treatment and know there were rooms available at 2:00 pm. I made other arrangements at a different hotel due to this treatment. I was not refunded my money due to their version of my parents trying to check in at 2:00 ! Shame on you Heather, hopefully your parents aren't ever treated this poorly. Maybe everyone should consider not using any third party if dealing with this property .
