"Disappointed"

After a day of driving over 12 straight hours...we just wanted peaceful sleep. Unfortunately the man that checked us in must have thought putting us in a room right next to the busy freeway would help. Also, being in a part of the hotel with just two rooms located next to each other was great until getting awakened at 3 am and again at 5:30 am by a drunken, violently fighting couple. It was scary when they slammed something against our wall, and then super hard on our door in the process. We recognize it's not the fault of the hotel for the caliber of people that choose to rent a room, but it does go to the character of the area it's located in. Pros: they let is check in any time after 3pm. It is dog friendly.....to a point. Cons: There really is no place for dogs to do their business unless they do it on the street or in tanbark or weeds, which is icky on their paws. The room was mostly clean. The carpets were really needing a good cleaning or replacing. Beds need to be updated....and maybe a little more forethought from staff would be good. My kids and puppy were traumatized. When we felt it was clear, we got out of there as quick as we could. I did let staff know upon our departure about the incident. I was worried about leaving our room or causing a problem, but they were nice about it. However, I won't be going there again.

Pros?? Clean room! Nicely decorated Terriffic breakfast Friendly receptionist Cons?? Located beside the freeway--constant traffic noise all night. Bring earplugs! Lumpy pillows/sagging mattress Conclusion: despite the clean room and great breakfast, the lack of sleep due to the noise and uncomfortable bed wasn't worth it.

Never received housekeeping- reported a clogged toilet multiple times during the day to be told by desk manager at 5pm that maintenance and housekeeping were gone for the night. I asked what I should do and he said "Use your best judgment" This is unacceptable!

Our room had a horrible odor. I asked to change rooms, the young man behind the counter was wonderful & we tried several rooms...2 had carpet so dirty I wouldn't let my dog step on it, 1 had a very loud high pitched A/C unit. I went back to the original room - at least it had cleaner carpet & a quiet A/C unit. The manager really needs to check these rooms. The rugs are horrible & I'm betting the cause of the horrible smells!

I've stayed here more than once and is suitable for the needs I have in this area. The positives: Good breakfast included; Very clean, up-to-date; Very cost-effective; Friendly accommodating staff. There really are not any negatives to list. This hotel is not really anything extraordinary, but it meets the needs I have when traveling in this area. I would recommend this hotel.

Nira the Manager and Jose at the front desk provided excellent service. Nira always helped when rooms were booked up or I had any problem. Jose was very friendly and always went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. Jose likes to talk and always make you feel at home. Great Experience. The only Con was the way the billing system puts hold on credit/debit card and the billing cycle can catch you off guard if you have a low to marginal bank account. Keep a eye on the billing and hold process. Otherwise I highly recommend. Oh the Breakfast is the best free breakfast and compare to Marriott or Sheraton paid buffet. The room service is good, always clean bed and bathroom on a daily basis. Good Choice. Nyra and Jose are great host.

Never done that before...but we checked in late (kids at a local sports tournament) and there was no getting out of it. Had kind of a scene of the crime feel about it. I kept my socks on, slept in my clothes. Put on something fresh in the morning, brushed my teeth and got outta there. It wasn't scary, there just wasn't anything nice about it.

Terrible roach problem. We killed about 12 roaches. We filed a complaint with Best Western corporate and called the front desk and the reaction from the manager at the front desk was terrible. Corporate told me the general is required to address the problem before we left, but the front desk said if you filed a complaint with corporate they take care of you. We haven't heard from either to this point. This is a terrible place! I don't understand why the rating is ok. Also, the walls are so thin you can hear people outside talking.

After the lights went out at night the cockroaches appeared. The front desk told us that there were no other rooms available. They did move us the next day to a room with no cockroaches and better TV reception. We were compensated for the first night but I would have rather had the sleep. Also the oatmeal, eggs breakfast meat and potatoes were luke warm.

when you first come to this hotel it's nice looking, lobby is clean and the guest services are nice but that's about all that's good about this place... Breakfast is just ok but the homeless seem to be welcome guest too... And the rooms yes rooms I stayed in as I stayed two weeks in arrow for work both rooms had Big Cock Roaches..the first room that I seen a cock roach I killed it and made a report to hotel staff,they said they'd look into it!! Now the next room had a huge Cock Roach in the bath tub( gross) I call the front desk and had someone come and get that thing out of the tub. The Guy that came in to My room to remove this huge thing from the tub only shrugged his shoulders and said " oh just from all the water" l as if I cared why there where cock roaches in the room. My fellow co workers also found roaches in their room.And the guest parking seems to be criminals delight car alarms going off constantly.

This is the 2nd Best Western Plus I've stayed at in the last year and they continue to impress me for a 2-Star hotel. The rooms remind me of a better outfitted Motel 6 but where this place really shines is the breakfast. It is as good as if not better than most of the Hampton Inns I've stayed at. The breakfast attendant did a great job of keeping the place clean and stocked. You can tell she really takes pride in her work. The only thing I didn't like was the price. $120+ for a 2-Star hotel is a little too much. I booked through Hotwire, because it was $17 cheaper than the hotel website. Convienant location right of Hwy 50, near restaurants, fast food, gas and a shopping center.

The value is great and the rooms are nice (except my closet was super small). However, the outside freeway noise can be heard inside the room as well as the guests passing by. The clientele were very sketchy too. Only one elevator and one ice machine. The staff was very friendly.

We continue to stay at this hotel anytime we're in the Sacramento area. It is convenient to access, nice amenities, and financially reasonable. It is also close to several restaurants and gas stations which is convenient for the hotel guest.

I am not sure where these reviews came from cause we did not have anywhere the same experience. Our room was SUPER DIRTY! The carpet was so bad that I dropped a baby wipe on it picked it up dirty. They was so much noise into the wee hours of the night, I finally fell asleep at 2am. There were people up and down stairs yelling. The WORST THING IS OUR DOG FOUND A USED sex item somewhere in the room!!! The manager of course was speechless when we informed him this morning. He said he would not charge us for the room but I mean YUCK!

The hotel is off the highway so you can hear that noise. The walls were thin so I could hear conversations from the pool area (I was on the third floor) and outside my room. The sink area doesn't have space to lay a hairdryer or curling iron. The outlet is about 1-2 inches above the since which I think is a hazard. The hotel is walking distance to a McDonalds and a Mexican Restaurant which was convenient.

We have stayed here multiple times and the quality, both of the management, the breakfast and the rooms, seem to be slipping. First, however, the good: Jose, who helped us check in, was the best thing about the hotel. I used a free night voucher for one of the two nights and he figured out how to make everything work and gave us two bottles of water to take to our room as thanks for being a rewards member. He is a keeper and should be promoted. The exterior is still very nicer and welcoming and it's easily accessible from US-50. Now, the not as good; the manager whose I am regretfully blanking on, could take a lesson from Jose on customer service. Since we were using the voucher, we essentially had to check out and check back in again for the second night. (Very convoluted and makes me leery of ever using a free night for multiple night stays) He looked at the voucher as if it might bite him and, after halfheartedly trying to use it, said it wasn't any good. I knew it was as it was valid for another couple of months, so I persisted. Finally, he said he would call corporate. We had to go out for a bit and when we came back in 30 minutes, his attitude had changed. The corporate office had verified it, we weren't trying to pull a fast one so we were "honored guests." The next problem is the main outlet on the desk didn't work. ( yes it was plugged in which is the question that was asked when we reported it.) We tried everything and nothing worked. To charge our phones we ended up putting them on the floor. Also, there was a slight, odd smell in there that wouldn't go away. Still no fan in the bathroom either and no recycling container in the room. Lastly, breakfast. They seem to have stopped serving yogurt which disappointed my wife greatly. The scrambled eggs on day two were cold; they ran out of plates well before they were done serving and they ran out of waffle batter as well. Very disappointing. So, overall, a disappointing visit, disappointing enough that, despite our many visits at this hotel, we're looking at the other hotels close by ( Fairfield, Hyatt Place) for our next trip down there.

Good for business but also close to recreational attractions and shopping. Many restaurants close to hotel or a short drive by car. All the employees are pleasant and helpful. I will definately stay again on my next trip to the area.

No coffee cups, Only decaf coffee, charging station did not work, hair dryer did not work. All this plus they sort of lost reservation for about 10 minutes and were going to charge $20.00 more for room.

Upon check-in I found that I had made my reservation for the wrong day. Jose who the front desk clerk on duty when I checked-in fixed the problem right away. The room was clean and the staff was very pleasant and took care of any issues that came up. The parking was a little tight in some areas. The breakfast had a good variety of items to choose from. The one big downside for me was the amount of road noise from Highway 50 which is next to the hotel.

This is not a dog friendly establishment. We have stayed there many times but last two times we have had our service dog with us. There is inadequate area for the dogs to walk. There has always been dog droppings all over. There is a receptacle to put dog waste in but both times there were no disposal bags in the dispenser. We said something to the management and were told “ not my problem”. We have talked to the corporation and they say it's up to the management. One would think that if any establishment was representing Best Western that promotes being pet friendly that there would be some kind of blanket rules. Pet walk area with disposal bags and waste container and that they would have signs asking people to clean up after their pets. We stay in the Best Western in Winnemucca and their dog walk areas are always clean and the even provide a sheet so if your dog gets on the bed they have a sheet to lie on. That to me is pet friendly. We will choose to stay at a different motel in Rancho Cordova on our next visit. We value our service dog and his safety and cleanliness for him is important.

Came for business, was not in room much. Slept well and it was close to where I needed to be for work. Laces to eat near by and it was easy to find. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and up to date.

We stayed here for one night on a road trip to Disneyland. It was the perfect way to start our vacation. The staff was efficient and professional. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The room was perfect for our little family. The breakfast the next morning was also much better than expected. This was a nicer breakfast than typical hotels at this price point. We could make oatmeal with all the toppings, bake our own waffles, or even make french toast. And everything was so clean in the dining room and breakfast station that I felt comfortable eating there. Would definitely recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

I stay at this hotel when doing business in Sacramento which is about once a month. It's always clean with friendly staff. I always feel comfortable and safe and will continue to stay at this location when I come to town. The staff always is very kind and tries to accommodate people.

This very convenient location is located in a hub of hotels. You can be in downtown Sacramento in twenty minutes while paying half the price. Rooms were nice and the breakfast was good. There are dining options within walking distance.

We were visiting family and needed Hotel nearby, this property looked good. We had a very comfortable, clean room. Very pleased with our accommodations, Wifi and television were good, and included breakfast. Prices were reasonable, would stay again.

This is a good hotel. The staff is very friendly and are you ready to assist you at all times. however this trip I had some problemes with the internet and the cable T.V. I called the front four (4) times before I could get anyone to answer the phone. The gym was not cleaned for 3 days during my stay but I attribute this to the holidays and they were probable short staff. I will still stay at this hotel when I am in the area.

The hotel is located right off the freeway and is a wonderful location. The beds are very comfortable but the rooms have not been updated for many, many years. There is a pool but no spa. The hotel does serve a very nice breakfast

The location was great. The staff was very nice and respectful to all customers. The only problem I had was the foul oder that was in my room that I could not get rid of. So maybe if they take a look into that. Than that will be greatly appreciated.

"Ok, we're done with this place"

Although we had a bad experience in July of this year, we thought we'd give them one more chance. What a mistake. Upon check in, we were not welcomed as Best Western Diamond status, we were told we were "upgraded to a premium king room," which was what we actually paid for, and this room faced Highway 50 with traffic noise ALL night. This time the room was stocked with appropriate amount of coffee, shampoo, etc. but the breakfast, which is the hotel's one saving grace, was deplorable. The sausage were very low quality, with a strange taste, and the potatoes were way over-seasoned. The sausage and potatoes are usually are our favorite choices. My other favorite has always been their waffles, but now the batter is overly sweetened almost like cake batter. The fresh fruit was not fresh. The juice was diluted to the point of flavored water. My wife can't drink caffeinated coffee and was looking forward to a nice hot cup of decaf to start her morning. COLD at 6 a.m. We don't need something fancy, just something edible for breakfast. The one saving grace of this place was an awful experience. We're done. We know nothing will change. Management will respond to my Best Western survey as well as this review, as they always do: a canned response of "sorry we didn't exceed your expectations..."

Very convenient and comfortable for our holiday visit with family. Great location, in proximity to family in area. Wonderful to have breakfast included. Quiet, clean - a very functional getaway in between family gatherings.

"Disrespectful Night Auditor"

The hotel was terrible due to the unhappy unpleasant staff that does not even greet you when you come to check in. I was not offered express checkout, shown where my room was, and no one told is the Wi-Fi password. She did not want to check us in like it was a chore.... Don't go to this hotel. The staff during the day were usually super nice but I'm not sure what happened when they decided to hire this woman. I called to discuss some discrepancies on the bill and she hung up in my face after giving me a piece of her mind and telling me she was busy ??

"Overpriced & Confused"

Overpriced for the quality. Check the linens closely. Last 4 times I stayed here they seemed like they were not clean. They never have that clean smell to them.Pillow cases and sheets are always wrinkled as if slept on and not changed. Second floor people smoke outside the rooms cigarettes & weed, if you have heat/AC on it sucks the smell into the room. They charge a resort fee,tried to tell me they ALWAYS done that. NO, this is the first time for me check my BW rewards.

"Multiple night stay..."

We stayed here for a couple nights while visiting family in the area! When we arrived, the front desk clerk could not find our reservation, and they seemed a bit inept at searching or knowing what to do. We were basically told we weren't in the system. After insisting I had a confirmation code, we finally got them to look more and we were finally found... Decent location (little close to the freeway), nice lobby and good breakfast options, and they loan out golf clubs to practice on their putting green out back. The room was decent, but starting to show it's age. I wasn't nuts about the traffic in the parking lot, more than I would have preferred at times. A little noisy at night, so just a decent place to stay.

This was my second stay at this BW and I was left a bit disappointed, mostly because of the quality of the breakfast. The hotel is in a convenient location with easy access to HWY 50 and nearby shopping. Rooms facing the freeway can be noisy.

Our one night stay was OK but the evening receptionist lacked a welcoming personality and it appeared the outside are could use a little cleaning. It appeared that many people have used this hotel and the carpets could use a little sprucing up.

Good for an overnight stay.Was on my way back from Apple Hill Craft Fair. Had a voucher to use and thought I would stay over night to avoid traffic back to the bay area on Sunday night. Gave me a handicapped room when one was not needed.

We're long time loyal BW Rewards members & this is our first time at a BW "Plus" facility, so I'm not sure if the poor quality experience is due to this particular locale or if it's the same at all Plus hotels... The good: it's clean and updated. Staff does their best to help, but there's not much they can do. The bad: 1. We are very familiar with the area & the 24/7 steady traffic on Highway 50, so when we made our reservations, we asked for a room at the back side of the hotel. We were given a front room that is right next to the highway & overlooks all 8 lanes. Traffic noise is so loud, you can only drown out the noise by turning on the AC. The AC unit doesn't permit the drawing in if fresh air, so when the AC cycles off, the room is uncomfortably stuffy & noisy again. 2. Wifi is spotty at best. It was either super slow or "unavailable " so often that we gave up trying to do any work or trying to access anything over the internet. We ended up having to use our data allotment & our smartphones. Don't even think about streaming. 3. The breakfast buffet concept was good, but it's execution left a lot to be desired. We got there a bit before 8 (well within designated serving hours). The scrambled eggs were already gone & were never replenished the 30+ minutes we waited. The bead that was left was already drying up & its edges were curling up. We opted for cereal, but had to hunt down milk. That took a bit of doing. There appeared to be only one poor soul trying to take care of everything from emptying overflowing trash to doing tasks in the kitchen area. There needed to be 1-2 more staffers helping out. 4. Housekeeping is apparently not provided for guests who stay more than one night. At 3:30, when we returned from a day out, the bed was still unmade & the towels hadn't been changed. (BTW, check in is 3 PM) I realize the room rate was low, but the negatives we experienced made the deal no bargain.

Visit family and friends in Sacramento area to bring back some memories of days gone by but also included a Memorial Service for one of the family members. The Memorial Service became a major part of the visit and allow us to see more of the family members. Old Sacramento, Sutter's Fort, Calaveras County Big Trees and California Auto Museum were part of the trip. Of course the Amtrak ride and the meeting people from different backgrounds and occupations was a big plus for this trip.

Dirty carpet bothered me a lot. The room was OK and it served it's purpose. The breakfast experience on Monday was really pleasant because I saw Mrs. Omelet. It was a busy weekend for Sacramento because almost all the hotels were booked but I was able to get a good deal.

There was no food at breakfast, not even coffee or juice. The shower head didn't put out enough water to hardly even get the soap off and it was really hard to get on the internet. I don,t think I will be staying there again.

"Highway noise and no internet "

Our room was on the second floor all the way to the end. Tried three separate devices with no connection. Called the front desk and all they told me was the hotel was full and everyone must be on line. So now I'm trying the next day at 5am and same results, no connectivity. We were planning on staying here for a few days but now we will find a different hotel because of this. If you are planning on staying here and want internet, ask to see your room and check the connectivity.

"A Very Unpleasant Stay at the Roach Motel"

My husband and I recently booked a 2-night stay at the Best Western Plus Rancho Cordova Inn and did not make it through the second night. When we checked in very late the first night, we were really tired and just wanted somewhere clean and quiet to lay our heads for the night. Check-in went smoothly and we were in our room in no time. Upon initial inspection, the room we received looked clean and had all of the amenities needed to make our stay most convenient (fridge, microwave, plenty of towels, etc.). We were worn out from a long day of traveling and hurriedly went to bed, not giving a second thought to a thorough inspection of the room. BIG MISTAKE! The next morning when we got up, my husband noticed what looked like multiple insect bites on both his arms and was wondering where these bites might have come from since he hadn't had them prior to arriving at the hotel. Since we were preparing for another long day of travel in the area at that point, he didn't give it much more thought until later in the day when he noticed he had a lot more bite marks that he originally realized because they were beginning to itch more and feel almost callous-like. When we finally returned to the hotel later that night, my husband was convinced that we had some kind of bugs in our room that were causing the bite marks (possibly bedbugs) and was more than ready to leave as he refused to spend another night at the hotel under these conditions. I went in to speak to the hotel front desk personnel as soon as we arrived back that night and spoke to a worker named Marin about the situation, letting him know that my husband and I believed our room may have bedbugs and we did not feel comfortable staying at the hotel another night due to that fact and would be checking out early. Marin seemed rather perplexed by the thought of our room having bedbugs and mentioned that this was not an issue he was aware of the hotel having, but suggested that maybe the hotel having pets allowed on the property could be the source of any bug problem. At this point, my husband and I could care less where the bugs were coming from, we just wanted to be as far away from them as possible and not risk getting any in our luggage. When I asked Marin how we could get the issue resolved, he advised me to speak with the hotel manager, Naira [-], the next morning at 7am which is when he told me she would be working. I told Marin that I would do just that, but my husband and I would still be checking out immediately. Marin proceeded to explain to me that he could not check us out until 12:00pm the next day, which is the hotel's checkout time. This statement made absolutely no sense to me since I have stayed in many a hotel and have NEVER been told that checking out BEFORE the hotel's checkout time was not possible. After questioning him about this checkout "policy", I informed Marin that my husband and I would be going to collect our belongings from our room and returning to checkout immediately and any further issues would be addressed with the hotel manager by me the next morning. When my husband and I returned to our room to collect our belongings and checkout, we found a ROACH crawling across our hotel room floor (shown below postmortem after my husband killed it)! This solidified our decision to leave the hotel and we packed up our things as quickly as possible and returned to the front desk to checkout. Marin took our room keys and said he would check us out, but when I requested a checkout receipt, he again claimed he could not provide me with a checkout receipt at that time because the receipt would not include all charges until 12:00pm the next day, at which time he could have it emailed to me. Once again, this checkout "policy" was something totally unheard of in all my years of traveling, but I was not going to stay and debate the point with Marin as it seemed pointless. When I called to speak to the general manager, Naira, the next morning around 7:30am, I was told by a different hotel worker that she would not be in until 4 or 5pm that day. It really seemed like I was getting the run-around at this point and after finally talking to Naira, who was equally unhelpful, I totally understood why. Long story short, my stay at this hotel has been one of the worst hotel experiences I have had in all my years of traveling and I would NEVER recommend this hotel or Best Western (this was my first and last stay at a Best Western hotel) to anyone who values their health or just plain quality hotel service. If staying in a roach motel that holds you hostage for checkout and may have bedbugs and/or fleas is your sort of thing, however, this might just be the place for you.

Bed bugs are a very serious issue in our industry today. This is not a subject to be taken lightly and one that is acted on immediately. Although we have our hotel inspected regularly for any evidence of bed bugs, we also follow up immediately on any guest concern. In the case of this guest our contracted pest control providor was on site within 2 hours of the alleged report. The pest control company did a thourough and documented inspection of the room along with hotel staff and found no evidence of any stage of a bed bug. We appreciate and are thankful for the concern and awareness of our travelers which would enable us to eliminate a problem immediately should it arise. We will continue to immediately act on even the slightest concern of any of our guests in this serious matter. The front desk lady was really helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was pretty good. Several restaurants and a Costco near the hotel. Basically, it provides everything I need for a business trip there. I'll be back again. Thanks!

"Good Choice"

We have stayed here several times in the last year and have been pleased each time, We picked this hotel initially mostly because of location but the amenities keep bringing us back. The rooms are fine but we appreciate the decent wifi and the excellent breakfast. My only complaint is that the toaster in the breakfast area really needs to be replaced. It takes forever to toast anything so I just give up. I should have mentioned it last year. Two smaller toasters would work better so there isn't such a bottleneck at the toaster.

Management and employees obviously take pride in their establishment. Everyone eager to assist, and very courteous. All areas that I used were outstanding. Don't expect to get work done online it my several minutes to send text email or load web. Web apps are not possible they will time out. Noise can also be afactor but being next to 50 is convenient. Staff runs the gamut from superlative to mediocre. Have stayed many times would do so again in the absence of a better value.

"STAFF WAS RUDE"

We stopped at this location after being exhausted, we were traveling with our two children, We chose the best western because we are members, Check in staff was great. Although, I requested a downstairs room and was inconveniently put on the 3rd floor. The room was clean, but very small... not much room for our toddler to even move around in. We brought food with us and stuck in in the fridge, we woke the next morning to the refrigerator not working and our food was ruined. We brought it to the front desk staff's attention and she made us feel as if we were just complainers, followed by some eye-rolls. She brought it to the managers attention and he pretty much said there was nothing he could do! My family and I would not choose this location for any future stays, because we felt like we were inconveniencing the staff.

For us the location was perfect as we were visiting friends in Folsom, CA. I splurged for the upgrade of "interior access" to the room and it was worth it. Room was quite nice, a little small but very nice. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was roomy. Just wish the room was a little roomier. Breakfast was very nice with two choices of eggs and two choices for meat protein along with potatoes.

"Wonderful hotel, but the area is scary!"

This is a beautiful property. The breakfast was one of the best we've been to, but the area this motel is in is not very safe. My adult daughters stayed there one night before I got there and were followed by strange men back to their room! Also there was cigarette smoke in the non-smoking room we reserved and weed on the floor. We left after 2 days. I just can't have my kids in danger, doesn't matter that they are in their mid 20's. Staff was very very friendly and helpful.

I have been here several times over the past several years. Always find the place clean, staff friendly and attentive and rooms in pretty good shape. Usually here on business so amities are not usually a concern. Have found this hotel to provide a typical BW breakfast but clean and attended.

Hotel is clean and beds are super comfortable. Breakfast is usually good. Stay here a couple times a year when attending horse shows only complaint is I always have to ask for more towels they only put in three even when there is four people registered. And the showers could have a bit more pressure. Not fancy but always clean.

This hotel was very nice, staff were friendly, location was perfect for our wedding in Rocklin, and able to go to Old Sac very easily during the days we had free time. Restaurants and shopping were very close to the hotel as well.

Due to unforeseen circumstances we ended up spending two nights here. The staff was extremely accomodating and helped to make a bad situation bearable. We had a problem with the TV that was immediately attended to. We would stay here again!

Very nice property. Room was spacious with lots of desk counter space. Good power outlet access. Get a room on the top floor to get away from the noisy pool activity. Breakfast was excellent. This is a go-to business stop for me.

"Rancho Cordova California Western Travels"

The Best Western is a good place for the casual traveler. It has comfortable beds, friendly staff and clean rooms. The breakfast and coffee is very good and the hostess staff are friendly and keep things clean and well stocked.The biggest problem I had was a hotel staff member, Mike assured me he had cancelled a reservation that I had through Booking.com. This was done by Mike so that I would not be double booked or double charged since I had also booked through Best Western( I'm Best Western rewards member).I noticed and pointed out to Mike that Booking.com had a lower rate and asked Mike if Best Western could price match Booking.com. Mike assured me that could be done without a problem. So after a somewhat short discussion Mike told I needed to call Booking.com to ensure that there would be a double booking. So before retiring that night Mike assured me if there were any further problems management would take care of my situation. So... as it stands today the day before I leave everything appears to be taken care of. I'll find out if the corrected billing statement I signed will reflect the adjusted pricing upon my departure, hopefully it will. Right now I think I owe Mike and management at Best Western an apology because they have put my mind at ease and everything appears to be fine. One last thing when I did arrive 7/21/17 my original assigned room had a cigarette smoked in smell and was quickly exchanged for a smoke free room. The newly assigned room had a T.V. remote that needed to be programmed and a noisy A/C unit that needed repair. Both problems were addressed immediately the next day by the on duty manager. Although the A/C is still quite noisy but tolerable. I agree with others who have stayed here before, including myself if you want a quiet room choose one on the third floor and away from the highway. With all that I've said I probably would stay here again and would still recommend this Best Western.

AC is not working and not maintained. I got a flu virus by the next morning my nose was stuffed up and i got a scratchy throat. Then the next day it got worse. I went purchased cough medication and cough drops. I got a fever the third day and still have congestion as of 7/25/17

"Not Clean, Real Disappointment"

We have stayed in this hotel numerous times during the past two years and have seen a steady decline in cleanliness and overall thoroughness of staff. Upon check in, we lugged our baggage down a long hall, only to discover the room was occupied! So we had to haul our belongings back down to the lobby to get a key for another room, and haul all our stuff back upstairs. I used bathroom cleaner and one of the towels to check the cleanliness of the tub and found it to be dirty! I then cleaned the sink, counter surfaces and toilet seat to assure we at least had some cleanliness during our stay. I used the cleaner on the "clean remote" and it was obviously dirty! Some bath items such as a shower cap were missing and only a few tissues were in the tissue dispenser. The location of this hotel is very convenient for us and we truly hope they will focus on cleaning and stocking each room as they had in the past. This is the only Best Western we have stayed in where they did not acknowledge us as Diamond Members.

"Great quick stay"

Stayed here for a night while doing the river rafting. We arrived early to the property and room was not ready yet but were given keys to come back later and allowed us to park the car there. Took uber to the rafting place which was less than 10 minutes away, Came back to a quiet and clean room. Beds were comfortable and internet was quick. Did not get to try out the breakfast but it seem like they had quite a selection as well as a nice lobby and breakfast area. I would stay again whenever i come back.

"Like Home"

I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff makes you feel right at home. Like family. The rooms were neat and clean. Everything worked as it should. The shampoo and soaps were a step above your usual hotel fare, really, really nice. Towels and bedding etc. good quality. The bed very comfortable. AC worked very well in the room which was great since it was 106 outside! Large parking lot and restaurants within walking distance. A very nice stay.

Sometimes you may book during a time when another group has booked that has a large number of children traveling with them (ie baseball teams, etc). You may run the risk of it being a bit too noisy to get a sound nights rest.

I have stayed at this hotel before and gotten good service so I am not sure if the management changed or what. We stayed for 5 nights and the first 2 nights our room did not get cleaned until almost 6 in the evening. When I asked the desk clerk at 5 about the room not being cleaned he was quite rude to me. This is not the service Best Western normally provides. The room was clean and the bed comfortable so no complaints there. The breakfast could use a little improvement. The oatmeal seemed like it was reheated from day to day, there were no hard boiled eggs and for a couple days no yogurt, so it was a little disappointing. Not sure if I will stay here again with several other options available in the neighborhood.

Pros: nice front desk and lobby area. Free parking. Comfortable bed with fairly soft sheets. Cons: room is smaller than others at this price point. The cigarette smoke smell has not quite been completely eradicated from back when smoking was allowed in California hotels. Probably due to the worn and old carpeting. The room does not feel very modern. Lots of different shades of brown used in the decor that looked like they were probably in fashion back in the late 70s or early 80s. Lamp on the desk does not work. Pool is open until 11 pm, which seems unreasonably late to me, especially if you'd like to sleep and there are screaming kids in the pool. 10 pm is much more reasonable. Also, on a very warm day, it seems likely that most people would like to take a dip in a pool that is a little on the cold side. My family and I found this pool to be about 10° warmer than it really should be. More like taking a bath - not very refreshing. LOTS of freeway noise if you have a window overlooking the pool. Fortunately, I found a setting on the outdated air-conditioning unit under the window that allows the fan to blow all night, creating white noise that will hopefully drown out all the big rigs I can hear screaming by on the freeway. The bathroom has been "sort of" updated, but is still quite a bit smaller than others at this price point. Water pressure in the shower is pretty weak. Very little counter space. Towels are smaller than average and not of good quality. To be fair, I have not yet tried the free breakfast. I am sure that it will be very nice. However, even a very nice breakfast cannot offset the downsides of this experience. To me, a room such as this, in this condition, is worth really no more than $100 a night. How I got stuck paying $150 a night is most definitely my problem, and I will own it. However, probably will not return to this hotel again. Instead, I will search out another hotel of higher quality that has a pool, for the next time I am visiting family in the area.

Just stayed here for three nights with several friends to attend a track & field event at Sacramento State. The location was very convenient, the front desk staff very helpful & friendly, and the rooms were clean and had all you needed (comfortable bed, small refrigerator & good shower/bathroom facilities) in a fairly spacious format. Significantly, if you are planning a summer visit, the AC in the rooms worked great. & a pool that was good to cool off in. Also of note was a much better-than-normal breakfast service which is included with the room. All in all, it was an excellent value. Special thanks to Armen who greeted us & was very helpful during our stay.

Great location near many amenities. Reception area is attractively decorated-welcoming and clean.Room was nicely decorated even if a little small. Their pool and miniature golf were a plus even if I didn't use. Really appreciated good wifi, free access to computers and a printer. Printer was low on ink but hotel clerk graciously allowed us to fwd emails to him so they could be printed out on office printer. Their breakfast area is large and comfortable. Food selection very good: two styles of eggs, yogurt, two types of wafflemakers, many toppings for parfait/waffles/oatmeal. Great job Best Western!

We are in the middle of a heat wave and my air conditioner went out. Of course, no one can repair it now, so I went to the Best Western Plus in Rancho Cordova to wait it out. First off, the staff was so accommodating. Naira, the General Manager, is so genuinely nice and cares about her guests as if they were guests in her own home. She helped me get a room for the week on short notice, and did so with a smile. When I walked into my room, the first thing I noticed was the clean smell. The room was immaculate. There was even an animal made out of towels on my bed. What a laugh! The second thing I noticed was how cool it was. Even though it was 107 outside, the room was a chilly 70 degrees. The bed was comfortable and there were four fluffy pillows that aided in a very peaceful night of sleep. The next morning, I went to the breakfast buffet, and was amazed at the variety of foods. I probably had the best sausage iv'e had in a long time at the buffet. There were yogurts, fresh fruit, bagels, donuts, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, made to order waffles and so much more. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in my life, and "breakfast" at hotels usually consist of coffee, juice, fruit and cereal if you're lucky, but not here. Again, I think it's the pride that the manager has for the property and wanting her guest to be happy. From the looks of the other guests in the dining room, I would say that she is succeeding. For those of you who like to swim, there's a nice pool on the property as well as a putting green. I didn't hit the pool because it was so hot, but I did see lots of families lounging around and the kids splashing around in the pool having the time of the lives. So, if you are in the area and need a very clean hotel with a great staff, I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay. You won't be disappointed!

I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past due to a contract with a local college. The staff is always great and are very quick to reply to any request you may have. The breakfast staff is really great and are better than any restaurant waiter or waitress so you don't mind leaving a tip.

"Worth the price"

Daily FREE Breakfast and clean comfortable room. What more can you ask for at the price of around $100 a night. I didn't need a gym or full service amenities, this was excellent for the price and great location.

We always stay here when we go to Sacramento. The staff is very accommodating. They remember us when we arrive. The breakfast is one of the best ones we have found. Location is central to family. The rooms are always clean and the beds are very comfortable. I enjoy talking with fellow veterans that stay there as it is near a large veterans hospital.

My boyfriend and I stay here when he has early morning appointments scheduled at the Mather VA Hospital. Our most recent stay was great, as usual! Clean, quiet, comfortable room. The mattress is "just right." We didn't have a chance to check out the breakfast as his surgery was at 0600 hrs. the next morning, but we had a good night's sleep, and will definitely be staying here again!

My stay at best western plus in rancho cordova was Wonderful. The staff was friendly got checked in in a timely manner. Front desk staff were very professional. Housekeeping were friendly and the rooms were clean the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good and there were a big selection of food items. The GM is a very nice and friendly person. "Average budget hotel"

This hotel is getting a little worn around the edges. The rooms door was out of plumb leaving a large gap at the bottom, this allowed a lot of noise to enter the room. Two USB ports in the room to recharge mobile devices were both defective. The room itself is a little on the small side. On the positive side they do have a remodeling program underway to update the rooms. The hotel staff are pleasant and they gave me a first floor room as i had requested. Overall I would give them a strong C grade.

My husband Gene who mobility challenged & I can here for our niece's graduation from CBU ! We were in room 206. Traveling can be challenging. You have the best bathroom w/roll in shower complete with pull down shower chair! Breakfast is great! The room are great with comfortable beds! Your staff is very accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable but the traffic noise made the stay uncomfortable. And trash pickup at 5am sounded like it was right outside of my room. Staff was courteous and cheerful. Breakfast was typical.

This hotel is close to the freeway. I recommend a room away from the freeway noise. The freeway noise could keep you awake. There are no elevators at the end of each hall way. Very inconvient if you park behind the hotel. Room walls are not very sound proof. The room door does not muffle or suppress the noise people make or when talking outside the door. It's as if your door is open. Light switch in the bathroom is located on the left wall, normally it's located on the right wall as you enter the bathroom so that you can turn the bath room lighs on. Microwave and fridge are located inside the clothes closet. Very dark area and not easy to see the microwave settings. the fridge door opens from the wrong side. It should open from the right side especially when put inside the clothes closet. Hotel staff are very kind and helpful. Breakfast is top notch. Dish network is used for TV programs. Channel selection on TV is confusing. Internet connection is NOT secure and not easy to connect to the hotel server. Never use un-secured internet connections, hotel or otherwise, because this is a hacker's paradise.

the rooms were sooo clean! the things i look for in a hotel is: 1) How clean the rooms are 2) How nice the front desk and house keeping staff is, and lastly, if my stuff is cleaned while i'm out and about. i love to come to a clean room! the prices were amazing as well! but i just can't get over about how organized and clean the rooms are! I had to be in suburban Sacramento for a family event, and I selected the BW Plus as my place to stay because it offered convenience and a price significantly below the other options. I have stayed in Rancho Cordova multiple times and all of the hotels there are flawed, though the Marriott is pretty solid. The first thing you should know is that this place is a little hard to find. It's not on the main road, but off a side road behind a McDonalds; the sign is small and the new BW logo looks too much like the Dairy Queen logo to stand out. Do not expect anything other than a motel here- I'm not sure what the “Plus” refers to. The rooms open to the ground or an outside walkway, which limits your privacy, but for a motel it's fine. At this particular moment they are doing roof work, so I asked not to be on the top floor. This put me into a so-called accessible room. As someone who does not have a physical handicap, this means mostly that the bathroom is twice as large as normal to accommodate a wheelchair, so the rest of the room is smaller than normal. This did not bother me, though it would have been nice if the desk clerk had mentioned this to me (and it would have been even nicer had they told me about the roof work in advance). The people who work here are very nice and helpful. The breakfast is good considering the price of the room, and the noise from the adjacent freeway is bearable. Keep in mind that the price and breakfast and convenience is prone to attracting groups of young people, so you can't come here expecting peace and quiet. It's a solid budget choice.

A nice Best Western Plus Motel. The room was clean but little bit small. The closet was in a corner and cramped. other than that the room was fine with an over sized television and comfortable bed. The breakfast bar was one of the best that I have seen. It included two waffle makers and all of the other standard scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit,etc.

We always try to stay at BW and we realize that there are differences from one to another. I found this BW to be average and needs to improve. Front desk staff should be more friendly, I should not have to ask for a "do not disturb" hanger for my room, I also should have been giving the room that I requested or told that it was NOT available, all I wanted was a top,end room. The breakfast gal was fantastic and made our stay enjoyable. Thank you

My stay at this hotel was just ok. No major issues but it wasn't the most comfortable and I was ready to go when my stay ended. The windows on the rooms in the first couple of floors face the walkway and therefore offers no privacy if you want to open the curtains. Therefore, I had to keep the curtains closed the entire time I was in the room which made me feel Iike I was staying in a cave. Unfortunately, I was there for a longer business trip and was VERY READY TO GET OUT OF THERE AT THE END OF MY STAY. As I was there for 11 nights, I felt confident they would be willing to move me but they were unwilling to do so.

We stayed this past weekend while visiting our daughter and family, we have stayed here three times before and as always enjoyed our visit. The hotel is pet friendly which is a big plus since we usually bring our dog. The rooms are large and well laid out the beds are very comfortable the AC was very nice since it was very hot!! Hotel overall is not bad, rooms clean and fresh. Exterior could use a deep clean and breakfast could use a refresh, many items not as fresh as they should be. My issues is with the young man at the desk, who has no business being in customer service. I travel for work and stay in BW as much as possible and have never been treated with such a lack of respect and follow through. If you say you are going to do something then follow through and do it. I should not have to ask multiple times for a confirmation and then have to ask just as many times for a receipt. Or call multiple times for needed items. Do not give me attitude because you are to lazy to do your job, if you have an issue with that get out of customer service. To the GM, your property is not up to BW standards and you need to train your staff and pay attention to details. Will not be staying or recommending this location moving forward.

The Best Western in Ranch Cordova was a few miles out of the way. However, as a State employee, the options within the state government rate are limited. This was by far the best choice I've found in Sacramento. The room was quiet, the breakfast decent, the clientele reasonably upscale - enough. The staff weren't immediately available, but very professional and helpful as soon as they appeared. I will very likely stay here again. My first choice is always a Hampton Inn, but I can't seem to find them at the state government rate. Very pleased with Best Western given the price constraints. I think it's probably the best choice for the limited budget.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We checked in and the room we were given was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Then we realized that the TV sound wasnt workng on the one channel we wanted to watch. Monday night football (my husband & I are both serious fans) the guy came to fix it in less than 5 minutes. When he couldnt get it fixed after several attempts, they gave us another room right away. The FREE breakfast was great. Nice selection and good taste. The pool looked very nice & clean although we didnt use it. The place was very quiet & peaceful which was surprising since its right next to the freeway. We were there for 3 days and defnately stay there again.

The front desk personnel were cold, never smiled, did not offer a greeting. I always felt like I was disturbing them. The housekeeping staff was very good. After I checked in to my room I had to go ask for a luggage stand, a TV channel line up, and a do not disturb sign. I asked to have a light bulb replaced, but it was never done. Check out was as bad as the check in. He never spoke to me at all. I handed him the key, went to get ice. When I came back he was gone. There was no receipt. Very rude.

I stayed at the hotel for 5 days for business. The staff were terrific; they were always available and helpful and kind. My bed was particularly comfortable, and the room was quiet. The air conditioner was quiet. There were enough tables for all of the guests for breakfast. Access to the freeway is easy, and there is a McDonald's a few steps from the hotel.

Nearby (McDonalds and Casa Ramos) Get old very fast .... The hotel property was nice with our room up on the third floor (# 319) and breakfast each morning. Had an incident where I contacted local police, they informed me ... "Locate the person and call us back, then we'll come out" .. After reporting a person attempting enter into the aforementioned CLOSED businesses at 3:30 AM while walking my dog ..

We stayed here for an entire week for track championships. I chose BW Plus because in Washington, they're pretty nice. California was less so. It's a non-smoking hotel with ashtrays situated at the end of the hallways. Our room happened to be in the corner at the end of the hallway and I'm allergic to smoke. We came back from long hot days at the track and there would be smokers outside our room. Surprisingly, our room didn't smell smokey. We received a really good deal on the room rate which was higher than a motel but under $100/night. We were put on the 2nd floor with motel like doors and windows open to the outdoors. The 3rd floor had enclosed hallways which I wish we had. However because our rooms were on the end corners, the windows were on the back of the room offering more privacy and security. The room was smaller, and it felt small with 2 teens and 2 adults. There wasn't room to lay out our suitcases. There's a large wardrobe which also housed the refrigerator and microwave - essential for long stays in the 100+ degree weather of sunny Sacramento. The beds were actually quite comfy. I prefer when there are outlets or USB chargers in the lamp or on the nightstand or desk, but this wasn't available. I had to push the nightstand to plug in our phone charger in a wall outlet. It was a bit dusty back there. The bathroom was actually a good size, but with a small vanity and a razor thin shelf that really couldn't support our toiletry bags. The shower worked great, although another track family had a tub where the water didn't drain. They called management several times and it was never taken care of. They ended up buying drain decloggers and fixing it themselves. Since I coordinate all travel for the team, I was unhappy this happened to them. There is housekeeping service every day although one day, we came back at 4:00 and the housekeeper was just entering the room. We were informed that the entire scheduled staff hadn't shown up to work and they had to call in workers. (????) There didn't seem to be an ice machine that I saw. There were complimentary hot breakfasts. And there were adequate washers and dryers available for use. There was an outdoor swimming pool and sunning area, but it was nothing like the double indoor pools at the Washington BW Plus. The bonus of this hotel is the location. It is right off the freeway. There is a McDonalds and convenience store literally a one minute walk from the hotel across the parking lot. Across the road one way is Walmart, Target, and a bunch of dining options. Down the back road about half a mile is a Starbucks and other great dining options, including Habit Burger, a newfound favorite of mine. It's also just a 10 minute drive from Sacramento State, where we had to drive to every day. I don't know if there just isn't traffic in Sacramento, but we didn't encounter any. It's also just about 10 minutes from Folsom, which has a large outlet mall, movie theaters and restaurants. It's also about a 20 minute drive to Arden Fair Mall which has a large retail mall and restaurants all up and down Arden Way. My last weird experience was check out. The guy at the desk was odd, but checkout was quick. He said he would email me the receipt, pressed a key and said it was done. He didn't confirm my email address but I assumed it would go through. I got in the car and checked my email, and there was no email receipt. We drove down the block and stopped at the ATM. When I still had no email, I called the hotel and asked the front desk to email it again. He confirmed my email address this time and said he resent it. I got nothing. We drove back to Best Western and made the front desk guy print us a hard copy. I never did get either email. I watched my charge card to make sure we were charged properly and we were. I guess not all BWs are created the same.

BW is located in an area with plenty of dining and shopping near by. It has great freeway access but most importantly the rooms are very clean, beds are very comfortable, breakfast is good with plenty of food choices.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and love the beds. The beds are very comfortable. The service at this hotel could be better. We always have 4 people in our room and they consistently only leave 3 sets of towels. This last time we stayed there, housekeeping didn't notice the 2 empty rolls of toilet paper in the bathroom. We had to go down to the front desk to get more. They do have a great breakfast in the mornings with a large variety of both hot and cold items. We love this place because of the beds so we put up with the shortage of towels. We've learned to just ask for more towels before heading up to our room.

Great location! Stayed 2 nights. Visited family in Carmichael and then a small get together with more family at the hotel the next day. Enjoyed lunch at Ramos Mexican Restaurant next door. My grandson especially enjoyed the children's museum just down the street. McDonald's was also there so we enjoyed some ice cream that hot summer night. Everything was so close! American river was not far away. Saw lots of rafters on the river. The hotel was clean, service was great and the breakfast was good! Hung out at the pool for quite a few hours one day. They also have a little putting green. Great place! I would stay there again on a future visit.

This is the old renovated Red Lion Hotel from back in the day, and now that Best Western now owns the property everything is just as nice. Courteous staff upon check-in, clean room, nice bed, hot water, microwave, fridge, TV, etc. There is a pool but I didn't use it. While my initial stay was nice something that will make me never want to spend another dime at a Best Western property is the annoying house keeping staff. Check-out for hotel guests is at 12pm. So why was I harassed twice by housekeeping at 10:30am to check out? Never again. I'm even cancelling that rewards card that I have through the hotel brand. So long!

overall a good hotel, but the cleaning service could be improved, we stayed 8 nights and bed was not changed until the 7th night. Breakfast varied on what was available, some days there was a selection of fruit and others there was none. The cooked breakfast was generally good, with scrambled eggs, sausages etc., The lift broke down twice during our stay

The pictures captured great aspects of this hotel. It is conveniently located to nearby stores and restaurants if you need to take a walk. The neighboring companies are willingly to offer discounts due to the great business relationship established with Best Western. this was supposed to be a vacation for me and my sisters ,we booked this hotel because of the great reviews and it was close to our brothers home,,,we traveled from buffalo ny ,our experience was terrible ,,we asked for queen size beds we got full size,, we left the service our room sign on our door every day and our room was not cleaned the first 4 days we were there ,every night we had to go down 3 flights of stairs to get clean towels and washcloths ,the elevator was not working .I am very unhappy as this was my first ever vacation with my sisters .

"Beyond Disgusted"

We were expecting a great room and hotel. We were wrong! This hotel is dirty and broken down and unkept. The room we were given had cracked sinks and a totally broken chair that was not possible to sit in. The halls were dirty and the hallway in front of the elevator was extremely dirty. The Front Desk Clerks were uncaring and didn't give much attention to anything. I watched other guests and they were rude and distant to all. They wore no name tags or uniforms and looked like gas station attendants. They were obliviously there only for a job and were not hospitable at all. The pool area was nice in the morning but got progessively dirty as the day wore on and there was no one cleaning up or taking care of it. The towels were always gone and no new ones ever appeared./ In addition the water was cloudy so we had to question when the last time it was tested was. We didn't go in the water as a result. On Saturday we left a "clean our room" card on the door at 7:30 assuing it would be clean by noon when we returned. It wasn't. We left and refurned again at 7 and it still was not clean. We found the maid and asked why it wasn't clean and she said she wasn't going to clean it because we had the card on the door. She obviously couldn't read English. or didn't want to. We asked that she clean it and she then said she was going home. We talked with the front desk who merely glanced at us and laughed ,. This was not a good hotel to choose. The grounds were filthy, the hallways and outdoor walkways were dirty, the weeds were growing happily, and the employees are unaware of everything. The elevator quit working three times during our two day stay. We were leary to use it. While they say they have an inspection form, it is hidden in the office instead of where you can see it, and with the attitude of the employees, I believe it has been quite a while since they have had the elevator serviced. DO NOT CHOOOSE THIS HOTEL. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN AND WILL ENCOURAGE EVERYONE WE KNOW GOING TO THAT AREA TO STAY AWAY FRON THIS HOTEL! I am curious how Best Western allows this type of hotel to be under their name, especiallyl as a PLUS hotel. It is a minus horrible hotel.

Unfortunately, this has to be the WORST hotel experience we had. We went to California for a baseball tournement we came with 15 families, needless to say the staff was miserable, especially the manager Naria. She did nothing but yell at our group. Ie, to loud in pool area, she even had the nerve to say she didnt care about the 15,000 we brought to get facility, broke ping pong table (which was already broken) parents had to go out and by balls and paddles, because staff wouldnt give to kids. One night the manager came out and started screaming at parents because the pool closed at 1000 and we were there later, when infact the sign says pool closed at 1100. Fridges didnt work in some rooms, rooms were cleaned even when door hanger said please clean room. Outside plants were all dead, at breakfast there wasnt enough food for our group on some days. This place would never get a recommendation from the 15 families that went there to have a enjoyable day of baseball and come back an unwind at hotel.

I often stay at Best Western Plus hotels for their reliable and clean rooms. There isn't much more I need for a one night business stay. Unfortunately, this Best Western was by far the worst. The first room I was in had dirty sheets with hair and hard crusted pink gunk stuck to the mattress. The additional blanket was also dirty with crusted substance on it. I changed rooms and the bed spread had a cigarette burn in the cupboard and the marble dresser top had a crack straight through the middle. The elevator broke at night and I had a terrible sleep wondering if these sheets were also dirty. The staff were nice but it seemed odd that the manager or staff parked his car in the drive through in front of the hotel for the day and evening that I was there.

Used this hotel as a fixed base for a week long motorcycle ride. They held our bags while we were on the road and greeted us like family upon return. Francine at the breakfast buffet is the best. The staff genuinely cares about your stay and goes out of the way to make you comfortable.

What wonderful place. Clean. Comfy beds, microwave, refrigerator and coffee pot! Customer service was excellent. Definitely would go back! Stores and you even have walking distance to fast food restaurants. Nice clean pool. Parking was not a problem. We didn't see any children, but looks like a family hotel!

We will not stay here again. The staff is not professional, we encountered card key issues more than once, rooms were not cleaned everyday, grounds are dirty, water pressure in shower is terrible and no ice machine.

My family and I stay here for a relaxing vacation. All the staff work hard to make everyone stay great! The breakfast is always warm and fresh. They were adding flowers to the front entrance and making sure everything was kept clean. There's shopping close by which my daughters love and Not to far from Sun Splash water park. They have a pool,a little golf which is always enjoyable as well.

"Disappointing, going down hill, FAST."

I have stayed at this property before, and it was a disappointment this visit. The lovely landscaping that used to greet guests has been replaced with tall weeds, trash and cigarette butts. Our room reservation request could not be honored. A rowdy group took over the pool area. Breakfast was subpar, juices were a lot of water, the waffle maker was not working correctly, the meats were low quality and not edible. The room was OK, there is a small vanity area, not large enough to hold a bathroom bag. The internet worked well in the room. The bed was comfortable and the linens were nice. The staff was helpful, probably the best part of this property at the time we visited.

"Definitely Has Potential"

Although I didn't hate my stay at the Best Western Plus Rancho Cordova, it was definitely my least favorite stay during my week long trip to California and Nevada. The first room we were given reeked of smoke as soon as we opened the door. I notified the front desk clerk about the issue, and he agreed to move us to another room. He assured me that the property was completely non-smoking. He then moved us to the room right next to the first room. The second room smelled fine inside, but we discovered it had problems as well. Our "next door neighbor" smoked right outside our door all night long. He must have smoked 2 packs throughout the evening, and the door had such a large crack in it (when closed), that a lot of the smoke drifted into the room (and was also pulled into the room by the A/C system). This same "neighbor" also played loud music until about 10 pm. Management will want to do a better job at keeping an eye on it's guests to avoid these types of situations. I was going to complain about the "neighbor," but had some concerns about retaliation. The "neighbor" was standing outside of his room for most of the evening and stared at my sister in a very creepy manner when we arrived at the hotel. He definitely knew which car we were driving as he watched us pull up to the hotel and unload our luggage. The doors and walls are so thin, that he would have heard my entire phone conversation with management had I complained. If management wants to address this issue for real, they should create designated smoking areas located in the parking lot and away from other guests rooms. This was the most smoke I'd ever experienced at a non-smoking property by far. The room itself was average. Nothing to write home about but clean enough. The A/C system had a moldy smell when the smoke from our neighbor wasn't blowing into the room. The location is convenient (right off of US 50), breakfast was solid, and the employees that I encountered were pleasant. There is ample parking.

We were greeted with a smile which can be rare these days. This was a very affordable safe place to stay outside of Sacramento. Awesome breakfast! Stores and food all over that can be walked to. Quick drives everywhere if that's your thing. There is even a grill by the pool as well as a putting green. :)

"Excellent Oasis off Hwy 50E"

I needed a convenient hotel for a short stay in the Sacramento area. The Best Western Plus Rancho Cordova was a great value for the price. It is tucked behind a gas station and a restaurant. Close to HWY 50 E. There area many businesses in the area, and shopping. Not too far from Downtown Sacramento, 11 miles. I would definitely stay there again.

"Might Have Been A Nice Stay :/"

We reserved a room here through Booking.com via TripAdvisor. Got to the hotel around 8:30 pm only to find they had no reservation for us - and no rooms at the inn! While this was not the fault of the hotel, the clerk did nothing to try to help us. I called Booking.com and after being on hold for almost 20 mintues a nice rep apologized, and offered to find us another room nearby. Over 30 minutes later I get an email from Booking.com asking me to confirm a new reservation at another hotel. The link didn't work. I called the hotel.. They showed no record of a reservation - and they had no rooms. Fortunately, we were just a 3 hour drive from home, so we cut our trip short and drove home. The moral of the story, I suppose, is "Trust, but verify."

This best western plus is a very professional and nice hotel in my hotel experiences. Rooms are clean and nice with very clean bathrooms. Lobby is very welcoming for guests. Very low price and great value. Easy access to Yosemite and Lake Tahoe.

"Very Clean Best Western Plus"

The staff at the front desk were very accommodating with a customer service attitude. We arrived a little early and wanted to see if we could check in. The computers were working slowly and the clerk was apologizing for this when another staff member decided he would personally go to check with housekeeping to see if there was a room available. The staff always seemed to be smiling and welcoming. Nice decor, clean lobby and dining area. The free continental breakfast was tasty and temperature of the food, perfect.

We had a 3rd floor room. Many of the rooms open directly to the parking lot (1st floor) or to an outdoor walkway over looking the parking lot. We had a deluxe room I believe it was called and it was indoors with a carpeted hallway. The room was very quiet, we didn't hear anyone in neighboring rooms or walking down the hall. The place was booked, it wasn't empty, but it seemed like they had "soundproofed" it - a super plus in my book!. The breakfast was good and was ready at 6am. They offered a "grab and go" breakfast if you couldn't wait until 6am. The bedding was clean and comfortable and overall made for a super restful weekend. I'm not sure if the rooms that open to the outdoors were as quiet so I would think it well worth it to upgrade.

The overall experience was very good. The room was in good condition and all bathroom equipment was in working order. Only one little problem was a towel hanger that fell off the wall. The breakfast was pretty good for the amount of guest that they had to serve.

When we arrived we were given a third floor room. We kindly asked if a first floor room was available (personal preference). They happily accomodated us and didn't charge additinal fees. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The breakfast area was a hit. The food choices were simply and basic. I really like the reastraunt quality sit down dining area. Our breakfast attendant (Francine), was very friendly and inviting. She went above and beyond to ensure we had enough to eat and that we wanting nothing. Easy access off of the freeway. Friendly staff and customer service. My husband and I stay here once or twice a month because It is down the road from the Sacramento VA hospital where my husband receives medical care. The rooms are always clean and my favorite part is the beds are comfortable!!! If I could figure out a way to take it home with me I would try to sneak it out of here. I love a cold room to sleep in and the A/C works great. They have a clean pool, ping pong table and mini golf to keep you or the kids busy. Free wifi. The breakfast attendant Francine is a hoot!!! I enjoy getting up early to go down and enjoy breakfast with her in the mornings. Free breakfast from 6-9 am includes fresh scrambled eggs, potatoes, salsa, bacon, sausage, waffles, yogurt, bagels, toast, muffins, cereal, fresh seasonal fruit, coffee, fruit juices, and milk. Nothing fancy but always hot and yummy.

This hotel is really great. They are very nice & they welcome pets (for a small fee) They have a swimming pool that's heated to 88 degrees. Very nice stay!! We stayed there several times & have loved it.

The rooms and service was excellent. One plus I really enjoyed was the hot breakfast and the choices.There was such variety!Every morning, the woman in charge of the breakfast,Francine, greeted me with a smile and a "Good morning." I was very pleased with how neat and well kept the area was.I was there over the weekend and it was nice being able to get great breakfast right downstairs. I would most definitely refer this hotel to friends and family.

We stayed at this hotel over the week end of the 15th through the 17th . Very comfortable beds room was very clean. The hotel staff is friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make your sure your happy. The thing that we liked the most was the hot breakfast . There was so much to choose from. Everything was fresh and hot. The lady Francine was very kind and spoke to all that came in for breakfast. She helped those that needed it and made waffels for people. She made our morning. Everything in the breakfast area was clean she made sure of it. We would stay here again and also tell others about our stay and the staff at this hotel. We thank you for making our stay pleasant.

The stay and staff where wonderful!!!!! especially Naira, the general manager. Rooms, grounds and lobby were clean. The front desk was very helpful and was there 24 hours a day. the breakfast was very good and I stayed at hyatt I have to say breakfast is better and soo much more choices. house keeping was great and neat. I would 100 percent would stay here again.

Hotel was at capacity but rooms were not ready close to 3:00 check in time. Several others in group had similar problems. Kitchen/breakfast staff YELLED at my teenage for spilling eggs - he did not - and would not apologize for their behavior. Wouldn't stay here again with 3 other hotels in the same location.

The other Best Western I wanted to stay at was booked, so I settled for the next closest one. This is in an Industrial Tech area, but surrounded by ghetto homes within blocks of the Hotel. At least 4-5 mile drive to get to decent restaurants. Noisy freeway US-50 next to hotel. The wife and I would never stay here again, especially now knowing the high crime rate for the Rancho Cordova area !

I stayed here for 3 nights and I don't think I've had a better experience with a hotel. Very friendly front desk, especially Nick, Hayk, and Armen. They were very welcoming and made my experience there very pleasant. Really comfortable beds, quiet and clean rooms. Nice breakfast with large variety of delicious food. Definitely will be staying here again. I rate this place 10/10.

the bed was very lumpy, crunchy and stiff--we woke up with sore backs. this particular mattress should be removed and a new mattress replaced. there were plenty of pillows for propping up in bed .parking was well lit and well laid out.

The Business Office didn't offer any way to print Boarding passes, the ability to print documents, etc. We were told "the printer doesn't print" and no offer of, "You can print here in the office" or "We're working on it." The breakfast had a good variety of food and the area was kept very clean. I appreciated the 24/7 access to coffee/tea in the breakfast area.

"My choice when traveling to Sacramento area"

The combination of price, quality and location are unbeatable (at least I think so) the hotel is conveniently located near the free way and only about 15 minutes from Sacramento; it's near restaurant and shopping all which make it convenient during business travel. Rooms are nice and clean, everything is fairly new and I have never had an issues with cleanenles me of things in the room. It offers free continental breakfast as well. I have stayed 3 times this past year and plan of staying here again when I travel to the area.

We planned a weekend driving around Tahoe and Gold country and used this as our landing pad. We travelled with a 14 lb terrier. The good- ample parking, easy check-in, breakfast included, generally clean rooms and comfy beds. We were close to the freeway, but I was not bothered by fwy noise. Doggie area in the back with bags and poop disposal. Room had a small fridge, coffeemaker, and microwave. Not-so-good: Breakfast was a madhouse on Sunday at 9AM. My hubby went earlier at 7 and said it was quieter then. Breakfast had sausage, potatoes, scrambled eggs. There were two nifty waffle makers. At 9, the dining area was full of kids and one of the parents was at the waffle maker for almost half an hour (!). The carpet was not very clean and the lampshade had dark spots (hard to tell what they were ). Walls are thin, so while I did not hear freeway traffic, I heard dance music from next door. Verdict: would stay again if just overnight

"2 Night weekend stay"

This place is clean and quite with many good restaurants nearby and right off the highway. The room was not very spacious and a little tight for more than 2 people, though. The other services were good, too ad\\nd every ]one was nice. The ice machine was easy to use for my day cooler, too. The room was clean and the maid service was good enough to make me come back again. The room had a small microwave to cook stuff and a small refrigerator to keep stuff cool but had no freezer. The breakfast was great with scrambled eggs, 2 types of sausages and yogurt. Cut melons with pineapple in them and apples and bananas were the fruits they provided. With instant oatmeal and plenty of different types of carbs to fill you up and lot of coffee and a different fruit drinks were also available. On Sunday there was biscuits and gravy added to the menu which was a great added feature to start your day.

This was a short quick overnight stay as we were commuting from the Va Hospital on Mather Way. The hotel was just a short ways from the hospital and it worked out very nicely. The Rooms very clean and updated. This hotel was recommended by the hospital.

I had to stay at this BW due to my first choice not having a room available for the entire 3 nights I needed. The property is close to the freeway and I heard road noise in my room. The bed comfort was fair. The breakfast was disappointing. mostly carbohydrates. Little fruit.

Sounds like different room location would have made your stay better. The majority of hotels in Rancho are adjacent to the freeway, so if you are sensitive to this, I always recommend requesting a room on the opposite side of the building. Breakfast can be tricky when you are watching carbohydrates, but as you mentioned we do offer apples, bananas, and assorted cut fruits. Our scrambled eggs are also an option.

"Has almost turned me off of staying at Best Westerns"

This review is extremely hard for me to rate. I reserved a exterior room for 3 nights when we arrived at the hotel I was told we would be upgraded to an interior room since there was no exterior rooms available however this meant we would be on the 3rd floor. I asked to please have a room as close to the elevator as possible. When my family headed up the elevator to the 3rd floor once it stopped the doors did not open for about 3 minutes even if you pressed the door open button. I brushed it off assuming it was an old elevator. As we traveled down the hall looking for our room number I found out it was almost at the opposite end of the hall from the elevator. I was not very pleased with this however it was late and we were tired. I did try using the wifi and it did not work at all for us. In the morning when I stepped into the hall from the hotel room I froze! Really? Why is inside as cold as outside in the hotel hallway? I had to grab my jacket before heading down. I took the elevator (once it showed up) down to the breakfast. This part of our hotel stay was wonderful the kitchen lady was very friendly and polite and was very attentive to keeping things clean and stocked. The breakfast available was scrambled eggs, sausage patties, country potatoes, biscuits and gravy, waffles in two sizes, cereal, english muffins, bagels, fruit, etc. The orange juice did taste a little watered down but was otherwise okay. I took the elevator back up to my hotel room and again I had to wait at least 3 minutes for the doors to open. I began to explore the bathroom for the soaps and shampoos to take a morning shower. The conditioner container had some type of strawberry scented goo on the side that was pink and all soaps and lotions were white? I decided against using the conditioner just to be on the safe side. As we were getting ready to head out we found flip flops that did not belong to us just underneath our bed (I guess when they clean they don't check under there?). The elevator continued to give us problems through-out the day not opening anywhere from three to five minutes before the doors would open and taking a very long time to show up at the 3rd floor at all. The next morning again the hallway was freezing and I went downstairs to grab breakfast for my family. Breakfast was again wonderful with scramble eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, waffles, bagels, cereal, etc. As I was heading to the elevator they were closing it down saying people were getting stuck for a few minutes. I mentioned that that was happening to us our whole stay and that I required the elevator for my physically and mentally challenged daughter to get down. The reception lady at the time told me I could still continue to use it with the understanding it might take awhile to open. My family ate breakfast in our room and started getting ready to head out for our plans for the day. We walked down the hallway to the elevator and pressed the button and waited a little while after a maintenance guy turns the corner and very rudely says it is out of order. I explained to him that the morning lady said that we could still use it. He said there was nothing he could do and that we could not use it. My daughter told him she is too scared to use the stairs and he very sarcastically responded “well I'm sorry your scared of the stairs”. My family went back to our room and I went down the stairs to the lobby very distrait as this was making us late for our plans. I asked when the elevator would be fixed and the gentleman at the counter called someone and then I was told they did not know how long it would be till it got fixed. I explained that I needed the elevator to be working if we were to continue to stay on the 3rd floor as I would need to carry my daughter down three flights of stairs just to let us leave for the day. They did not say anything other then they did not know when it would be fixed. I had no choice but to check out early which left us in a bind as it was the day before New Years Eve and all hotels were pretty booked. After we checked out I tried finding another available hotel with a working elevator or a first floor room available. Any that had availability were extremely out of our price range. I tried calling Best Western customer service hoping they could help me as it was not our fault we had to leave the hotel with that rate and they told us all Best Westerns are individually owned and operated so he could not do anything. When I then was transferred to make a complaint the lady was trying to help me find a hotel that could accommodate us but all were out of our price range. They completely ruined the entire day of this vacation as I had to spend it trying to find another hotel. We ended up not being able to find one at all and had to crash on the living room floor of a relatives that lived somewhat in the area of our vacation. It seems like a nice enough hotel just the rooms need to be checked over a bit better when cleaned and the hallway could be warmer for it being indoors and if the elevator breaks they should find a way to accommodate guests with disabilities when/if something goes wrong like this. They seemed just fine losing our business and checking us out a day early.

My wife and I stayed at the Rancho Cordova Inn on New Years Eve. It was nice to be so close to all the restaurants( we chose Outback Steakhouse) check in and check out were fine, the room was tiny and they did not have half and half or Splenda for morning coffee.

The good news is the bathroom was recently remodeled and it had a nice large flatscreen TV. the bed was okay. Breakfast was serviceable. check in was painful as there were multiple issues with the computers but we finally got it all straightened out. i would stay here again for a short stay. it did have a heated pooI but i did not try it out

I was disappointed with the room I was given. As soon as I got to the room I opened the curtains and there was the freeway. Fortunately I had ear plugs. They have a desk by the TV but the only outlet is behind the desk,you have to crawl under the desk to plug anything in.The carpet under the desk was sticky so I had to keep my shoes on. This stay was not the best time to relocate to another property.

"excellent stay for dog competition event"

This hotel was fabulous for my stay while competing at the Murieta Equestrian Center. Easy drive to the event location, coffee stop along the way, hot oatmeal before leaving the hotel, quiet rooms, huge televisions. Staff was friendly, helpful, outgoing. Loved it, will stay again for sure.

clean, well appointed room, comfortable bed, staff not very with it, but in fairness I was checking in a 5AM. Only one problem, the clerk couldn't find my account in the rewards system, I didn't have my card, but they should be able to pull it up, this happens at every BW I stay in, not just this one. They need better system in the rewards accounts.

"Great Hotel"

This was the last hotel we stayed in on our trip around California in November. We were greeted warmly by the staff at the counter. When we needed a second set of blankets for a cot we brought, they brought them very quickly. The breakfast was tasty and the breakfast crew was very nice...gave my daughter a sticker and thanked us for our stay.

"Caustrophobic"

Room too small for 2 people. No room for personal items in bathroom. Very limited room for luggage. Front desk man who took reservation was caustic. Aggressive flies throughout the bedroom and bathroom. Outstanding breakfast. Will not stay here again. Usually stay at Best Western Plus, however, this place did not meet their standards.

Hotel was conveniently located for us. Having a full breakfast available daily is very nice and also convenient. Rooms were simple, yet had all the amenities needed. Fridge, microwave and coffee maker were appreciated as well. Would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area.

Francine, our breakfast attendent, was incredibly attentive and made every effort to accommodate all the arriving guests for their morning breakfast. All the hot food items are constantly filled and the counters were meticulously cleaned and cleared to ensure that all arriving guests had a pleasant experience for their first meal of the day. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

"Nice hotel"

This was s nice hotel with lovely staff. They arranged for us to park for free at a sister hotel in old town Sacramento. Room were clean, bed was comfy, good Mexican close by. Breakfast ordinary but staff were lovely.

Loved this place. Very friendly staff and clean cafeteria..... O! we did a mini golf in the hotel facility. It is right next to swimming pool. They also had a ping pong table. My kids played. It was super cool for them as we didn't expect things like that. The water was cold so kids couldn't swimming, but my 4 yr and 9yr old boys did enjoy the stay there.... Very nice for family trip. Love to visit there again.... even close to Korean restaurants.... Ummm... love love this place!!!

Good breakfast attendants and some front desk help. Telling us to stand on a chair to remove a dead smoke alarm battery was over the top. Then replacing the dead battery with another dead battery??? $1.50 per night tourism travel fee. What's that all ab out. An elevator that rattles like a carnival ride is quite exciting also.

I picked this hotel because it was about half way between the places I needed to go in this area. The price was very reasonable. It is located next to a freeway so expect some noise. The breakfast could be better. The internet was a little slow in the room but it is free. Overall I would recommend it to those looking for a good bargain.

Very comfortable rooms ,excellent service and very clean hotel. Customer service really means something here and we really recommend this hotel. . Nice breakfast and staff were all very polite and made us feel more than welcome.

"Double charge rollaway bed"

Had to take the roll away bed on my own through the parking lot and set it up. Agreed to take a smaller room to help for the other customers. Was charged twice and still not refunded nor given discount rate for room degrade. Tried over 4 days with so far 3 different people to no avail. Have already stayed the past year at same hotel over 4 times. Will no longer be staying , nor bringing the group of others that have stayed.

Place is fair enough and cheaper than the competitors: I would go back. Problem is: do not get a room facing the highway. "Could have been better"

The hotel wasn't full but our room backed up to a busy freeway. I guess this is what we get for checking in at 3pm. All you heard was road traffic At first glance the bathroom was nice but that changed once you started to use the facilities. The sink drained very slow. The shower/tub had mold at the edges and in the grout lines. The water mixer in the shower/tub was faulty. When you sat on the side of the bed, it was broken and you dipped. The mattress was ok to sleep on if you stayed away from the edge. The breakfast was good and hot.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel while visiting family in the area. The hotel was difficult to find as they are not visible from the street. Once we found the hotel, the staff was very friendly. The breakfast in the morning was nice but the attendant(Francine) was very friendly. She went way above normal to keep the eating area clean and stocked. The room was very small and not quite what the pictures portray. The pool was too cold to use.

"Cigar smoke and no room service"

The hotel was nice and clean. The breakfast was what you would expect from the Best Western Plus. Waffles , powdered eggs, cereal and other quick breakfast items. I would have given the hotel 5 stars. However we didn't receive room service the second day we were there. The other thing that really bothered me more so than the room service. Was the fact that there was a man smoking a cigar right in front of the hotel. At first I thought this person was someone staying there. After coming and going several times I could see clearly this is either an owner or someone that works for the hotel. I believe he's Middle Eastern and doesn't understand the culture of America. To make it clear its simply rude to smoke when others have to walk by you to get into a hotel. My poor wife and three year old son had to endure the horrible cigar smoke several times. He seemed to know what he was doing was not good. Because every time someone walked by he would stop smoking the cigar. The cigar smoke bellowed across the walkway and into the lobby. Only a complete idiot would do that with women and children and people who don't smoke staying in the hotel. And only very stupid office staff and personnel would allow it. So obviously either this guy is a manager and owner or the office staff just suck and have no common sense or common courtesy. Either way they both suck and they won't be getting a 5-star review from me. I also bleezies pride breaking several laws in California. I would think Best Western corporate would want to know about this as it does not set a good example for the hotel. I will say again because I'm sure he will get the message you're rude, rude ,rude person.

"Dirty rooms and bug bites"

They didn't clean my room for two days. The first night I got over 1 dozen bug bites while I slept. When I complained they told me it was my fault it wasn't cleaned. They wouldn't even discuss the bug bites. When my boss called on the third day to make sure it was cleaned they told her my do not disturb was on the door so they didn't have to clean the room. The manager even offered to take a picture of it to prove that I was lying to my boss about it not being up. No apology was given when she went to my room and there was no do not disturb on the room. The manager was rude and repeatedly called me a lair. They didn't clean my room for two days and no fresh towels were offered. They could care less about the bug bites. Don't stay here unless you can take abuse.

this hotel has the best staff on board,they made our stay very comfortable. the rooms were clean and the view of the city was great. the neighborhood felt safe. the hotel rates were good. breakfast served every morning and coffee available 24 hours. the pool was clean.

"Decent value, great breakfast!"

We stayed here as part of a family bike tour - my husband, young son and I. There was a lot we liked about the hotel. Cookies at the check-in (and they were GOOD when you've been cycling all day), a nicely done-up room, a lovely little outdoor seating place on the 3rd floor, a putting green, what looked like a good fitness centre. The pool looked fine, but it was too chilly to test out. Best of all was the excellent free breakfast in the morning - great hot and cold options, really grateful for that! Thank you. One thing bothered us a little. Our room had a broken door - the lever that makes the door close slowly was broken and our door needed a bit of a shove to open. Nothing awful but it concerned me in case of a fire. We told front desk and they didn't seem verily concerned. Also, the mexican restaurant Casa Ramos in front looks a bit dodgy but it's GREAT!!!!

This hotel was clean, quiet and at a good location. The breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were attending a Gourd Festival in the area and this was a convenient place to stay. We will stay here again and highly recommend this motel.

Returned late from a wedding to find our room only partially cleaned - one less towel then we needed, and one of the two queen beds only partially made. Reported it to the front desk when I went to request another towel, and the clerk asked another staff member whether beds were supposed to be made every day... Enough said.

"Did NOT honor reservation rate!"

The front desk did not honor my lower reservation rate when I checked in claiming that they were full and the AARP rate was the best they could do. The complementary toiletries they provided were some of the cheapest I have ever encountered at any hotel at any price. The drawers in the dresser/desk were all loose, il-fitting and if you pulled them out too far they would jam (not go back in).

The biggest issue we had was our favorite channels on TV weren't operational although they were listed on the line-up. This location is convenient for our stays in the area, but we may change hotels if they don't get the problem corrected.
