Best Western Hotel Dutch Valley Inn, New Philadelphia

Based on the hotel alone, this review would have been a 4 at best. The staff was amazing and that pulled it up to a 5 or even beyond. It started with Grace who answered the phone and helped me make my reservation. She updated my account and quickly found just the room I preferred. When we checked in, Grace was at the desk. Not only did she check us in efficiently but she gave us great suggestions for dinner. Each time we went by the front desk, Grace greeted us warmly. Her smile brightens up the lobby! The room was a bit less impressive. I found the bedside lamps to be somewhat dim for reading. The worst and truly annoying feature was the exhaust fan in the bathroom. Since it was connected to the light, if the light went on so did the fan. Problem was that it was as loud as a jet taking off. It gave you a headache if you were in the bathroom for more than a minute or two and woke up anyone else in the bedroom if you needed the facilities in the middle of the night. It was a pretty small bathroom, too! We soon called it the airplane bathroom. Otherwise the room was fine. At breakfast the next morning we met another star staff member, Emily. She did a great job with breakfast and went out of her way to be helpful. She actually found us gluten free blueberry waffles, a real treat! Her can do attitude made breakfast even better. All in all, we would come back more for the people than the hotel building.

Maintenance man, breakfast host and young FD clerk who checked us in and out were great. Nighttime staff was rude, miserable and treated well behaved adults like reckless children as we tried to gather and socialize since we haven't seen each other in a long time. They absolutely RUINED the experience.

The staff at the Best Western in New Philadelphia was very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a good value! We came to the area to visit the Warther Museum and this motel was very convenient for that. We would stay there again.

I was passing through on a long drive. Couldn't find any pet friendly hotels with reasonable pet fees online. I pulled into New Philadelphia to see where our hotel options were going to be. Best Western wasn't listed on any of the hotel sites, it was reasonably priced and the pet fee was only $15 which is waaaaaayyyy less than the rest in the area. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was complete with waffles and sausage and eggs and all. I would stay here again. No problem.

My husband and I were attending a wedding and stayed at this Best Western. It offered the best rate per night. It was an easy check-in and the room was clean and very comfortable. Beds were nice and soft. I slept very well. Breakfast offered a nice variety of hot and cold. Staff was friendly. Don't hesitate to consider going to Best Western verses the other hotels in the area.

I arrived at the hotel and was greeted by Renee who was excellent in serving the guest which means a great deal to me since i am also in the hospitality industry. The rooms are clean and comfortable. would HIGHLY recommend if in the area.

Located near the Interstate but not much noise. Plenty of outside dining options. Clean room, with helpful, friendly staff. Covid restrictions meant no in-room literature or open breakfast area. Fine for sleeping for a night or so.

Pool and breakfast closed due to covid but hotel felt clean, was comfortable and staff friendly. Good night sleep, quiet, undisturbed sleep. Grab and go breakfast a bit meh but we felt safe. Would stay here again.

Wanted to get away for the weekend, and decided to head to the New Philadelphia-Dover area with our pups. Very nice hotel, close to everything, with a pool and fitness center, and a very good internet connection. Staff was friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our first road trip with the pups so enjoyable1

Friendly check in staff. AARP discount. No smoking in the building. Clean, recently refurbished room and bath. Adequate breakfast provided. Close to the freeway but not loud. Very friendly pet policy, first floor rooms. Good value

Nice Hotel for the price. Breakfast was the normal things. Close to restaurants and various stores. Close to Amish country and wineries. Inside pool was nice (very clean). Easy check in and check out.

Traveled over the Christmas holiday to give the kids a chance to blow off some extra pent up steam by swimming the entire day and next morning. Pool was the cleanest I've ever seen in a public pool. Breakfast was nicely stocked...except for the orange juice that looked to have been broken for quite sometime. Staff was amazing. Check in and out was very quick. If you are ever in the area, this place is a must stop.

Hotel is always clean, fresh smelling. Breakfast options are good. Staff are helpful and polite. Comfortable mattress. Pet friendly but the rooms never have dog odors. Usually quiet even when hotel is full.

I stay here at least once a week for work, Always a wonderful experience here very clean - very nice staff helpful -good breakfast- always feel secure and safe here, -multiple restaurants and stores close by as well. I prefer it over any other hotels in the area

I usually look for hotels that are 4 stars or higher, but wanted to bring my dog and be closer to the highway. I found everything to be great! The food is no different from a "fancier" hotel. The room temperature was great. I do want to point out that the restroom was a little smaller, but who really spends that much time in there? I got fresh towels everyday and their coffee was not bad.

The was a mix-up in the reservation but the desk clerk fixed it speedily. Everything was great. The pool water was so clean and clear. Would like a clock in the pool room. It was quiet and restful at the motel. Well rested we enjoyed the breakfast because they have waffel machines. Love them!

This is the quietest and best kept place in the area. We have stayed here many times and will keep staying. It's clean as you expect it to be and kept up and quiet like a hotel should be. Great breakfast and access to everything

Excellent hotel, will stay again next time we visit family in the area. Staff "above and beyond" helpful for guests with different check in / check out times. clean, comfortable room, good breakfast, convenient to shopping, refuel, and highways. During a trip from Michigan to Virginia, I stopped here to spend the night, and I was so glad I did! The front desk person, Renee, was very welcoming and made sure I knew all hotel details. The room was immaculate, as was the bathroom. Breakfast, while basic, was fresh and well-presented. I would stay here again, and highly recommend this hotel if you are travelling in the area. while taking a shower, I realized the tub was not draining and by time I finished, the water was about 4" deep. It then took about 20 minutes to drain. Upon checking out, I told the desk clerk about this. His only comment was, "This sometimes happens", rather than the expected, "I'm sorry" or "We'll look into this" or "We'll have this taken care of immediately."

Clean, Conveniently located. The staff are pleasant and helpful. There is nothing fancy here, but everything you may need is right there, and at a very reasonable price. Most importantly for us, they are PET Friendly!

After reading the reviews of all the local hotels and their prices I decided to stay at this Best Western. The price was a bit more than some of the other local hotels, but the reviews made up my mind to stay here. I made the reservation a day before. Front desk was helpful getting me check in and there was food and gas close by. The room was clean and had a fridge. I was able to pick up some snacks and put them in the fridge. Very pleased with the Hotel and will keep it in mind when in the area.

Typically GREAT Best Western!!! Excellent bed, linens, continental breakfast with many varieties , good sized tv & very nice staff. I was able to park my Harley right outside my window so I had an increased sense of security

The staff is really nice and rooms are clean the only problem we had was water pressure in shower was low but they are located in great area a lot of stores restaurant with in walking distance they are located 6 miles from Amish country

We stayed here for one night and the room smelled like sewer, there was mold on the bathroom wall and the sink was backed up. Never staying here again and would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel.

Nice,clean and friendly. The hotel is kind of behind several new hotels and is bit obsecured but huge sign shows the way. Rooms were very clean and beds quit comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will recommend it to all.

Clean, good breakfast, and very caring staff. They went out of their way to meet our needs. They have a nice heated pool and a nice fitness room. There is no question where we will stay when in the area. No complaints.

Clean, well maintained property at a great location. Stores, restaurants, and bars aplenty. A bbq joint is rught next door, a BW's right down the road, and Chipotle out front. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

My room was a non-smoking room however it smelled horribly of cigarettes. I would not stay here again. I stayed for a friends wedding and it was the Hall of Fame weekend in Canton. Therefore many other hotels were booked up. There is a Holiday Inn Express up the road that I would choose to stay in if I had to stay in the area again.

Great caring staff. Was here for 3 months for business they treated me like family. I never wanted for anything they even made sure to have my favorite cereal every morning...I.will defently return!!!

We stayed in a suite and it was wonderful. Plenty of room very quiet area. Many places near by for eating and shopping. Staff was wonderful. All the amenities were good. Pool was excellent Breakfast was really good with many choices..

Overall very good for value hotel, it's pet friendly so watch your room placement (dogs barking when owners gone on certain halls) breakfast items were a little weak, security not great (exit doors don't have room key access) parking area not secure

Everyone was real friendly and the breakfast was good. I only wish the pool hours extended later and we were coming back from a wedding at the time of the closing. I did feel that for the location the rooms were a tad bit expensive but they were nice.

we have stayed several times and all has been clean, comfortable, and restful. Hotel is generally quiet. Breakfast is very nice and staff is pleasant and efficient. We will stay here again. Internet connection works fine and is an easy sign in.

The room was not bad. The price of the room is $30 higher on the weekend than during the week. Construction workers park their trucks in all the prime parking spaces and drag mud and dirt throughout the motel. If you are frugal you would do better to stay somewhere else.

Yes, you really can't see this place, located BEHIND two other Motels, but the large sign gives you the assurance that it is back there. A PLUS is that being behind other buildings, they shield the traffic noise and this is a quiet place. This is a very clean, nice motel with friendly staff, easy check in, and adequate breakfast facilities. The breakfast is a typical breakfast with the normal items. I will be back when in the area. The price was right also for what you get.

From check in to check out we were greeted and treated as a welcomed guest! Each staff member we encounted (front desk, cleaning staff) had a smile on their face and were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and fresh smelling and the lobby and common areas were impeccably kept!!

For the value, the room was great. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. I didn't take advantage of the free breakfast but it did smell amazing. I had to unexpectedly extend my stay and they were wonderful of working with me to add days on.

We chose this hotel for the free breakfast and couldn't even eat it. All options were slim and disgusting. However, the hotel was nice and seemed to be renovated recently. The pool is small but warm. Location is close to interstate and lots of store and restaurant options.

Was slightly disappointed with attitude of front desk person at check in. When we got to our room, found the bathroom to be fairly run down, with lots of cracks and pieces of the door broken off. When it came time to get some sleep- we couldn't figure out if the thermostat on the wall or the unit in the window (with the busted off panel cover) controlled our comfort. We suffered through the first night of our stay somewhat cold without a true comforter on the bed. Next is the bed. Wow. This is not an understatement... but it might have been the worst quality mattress I've ever slept on. Very springy and had tons of give on each end. If we wife got up to use the restroom in the middle of the night, I'd feel her roll of her side because I popped up (and I'm double her size). Needless to say, we slept pretty poorly. The hotel itself seems clean... but for $10-15 more per night- I'd rather have a more comfy bed and better maintained facility. I'm glad this was a quick trip.

People at the desk were aware the pool heater wasn't working.. I rented a room here because I was told there was a heated indoor pool... I paid premium price for the room because after a long day traveling I was going to have a swim.. So were others disappointed but uncompensated... Not satisfactory

We were in town to visit with friends and needed a comfortable place to stay. The Best Western Dutch Valley Inn fit the bill. Nice welcoming staff at the front desk. The room was very clean, nice decor, and a comfortable bed. There were many selections at the breakfast, eggs and bacon, cereals, etc.Good value. Will stay there again if in the area.

Close to many conveniences. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The staff was exceptional ! Not fancy and most likely would not spend more than a night or two here. Older hotel but has been updated and close attention had been paid to make sure the small things were done...like books in the bathroom as well as good storage for items.

We enjoy staying at the BW Dutch Valley Inn mainly because it's pet friendly. We have been using this motel for probably eight years and this trip we were very pleased with all the renovations that have been done.

My wife and I have stayed at this motel before, even had the same room with our dog. The room is comfortable, newly remodeled, nice decor. Lights have been updated with electric outlets in the base, nice touch.

Nice place but would not return, room was never cleaned after our first night there an I was given a lame excuse why it wasn't done. Went with another couple and their room wasn't cleaned either. That was unacceptable.

Nice room, helpful people. We are on a road trip and was happy to see a king size bed! The hair dryer quit working, called desk and they brought me another one! We were on the first floor, quiet room.

This place has room to park a few trucks and does not require a credit card to check in using Corp lodging...... The rooms are nice although I think the bathrooms are a bit small bit over all it is a nice place to stay......

The hotel itself was very nice! Clean and no problems at all. The Room was quite a bit smaller than other BW hotels I have been at recently. They had a nice breakfast and pool too. But note - it is in a very commercial area, tucked in literally behind other motels and fast food places etc. The name, “Dutch Valley Inn,” is somewhat implying this is in the more picturesque Amish area. It is not. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, as well as WalMart to shop etc.

When we visit Tuscarawas County for family reasons we always stay at the Best Western. Everyone is so friendly upon check in and checkout, especially Karen. The excellent breakfast is also a plus. Our room, lobby and breakfast area are always spotlessly clean. We will definately plan to stay again.

This was our third stay at Best Western Dutch Valley Inn, in New Philadelphia, OH. We have always experienced a warm greeting, helpful staff, warm and cozy rooms, comfortable beds, and enjoy the breakfast bar. The amenities are wonderful, especially if traveling with small children. There are a plethora of dining choices near by, and a Walmart just down the street.

This is a budget property priced right to sleep and shower, I wouldn't want to stay here for an extended period. Breakfast was slim pickings, waffles, some cereal, bread for toasting, mini muffins and one hot choice, which was a sausage bagel one morning and sausage gravy and biscuits the second day, only had 1 greek yogurt and some apples...breakfast girl doesn't pay attention to keeping items filled. They have 4 pieces of equiptment in work out room and an indoor pool that has very cold water!

I enjoyed my stay. I was in the area to visit my husband who was on business in the area. The hotel is very clean the staff very helpful. I felt safe to go out side at night to walk my dogs. Parking was plentiful and I didn't worry about the security of my car. If you are in the are to visit the Football Hall of Fame this is a good choice. If you are passing through with pets this is a good place to stay.

This is an average hotel at a good price. It was clean and the staff were helpful and friendly. We enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was okay. It could have used a little more variety. We would stay here again. The signage at this location was confusing. There is another hotel with a smaller sign underneath the Best Western sign. The bathroom was very small. I have no idea how you would get in there with a wheelchair or walker.

Amazing! Rooms were clean. I am one to take my own bedding and cleaning supplies. I actually felt ok with laying in these beds. Pool was very nice. Breakfast was beyond amazing. Will defiantly stay here again.

Went to visit the Amish country Ohio. Very pretty country, got to go to the Amish restaurant to eat and the cheese factories. Leaves are just starting to change The food was very very good, The scenery was excellent too.

Stayed here before and will probably stay again next year. Was close to Amish Country without the congestion and very close to major restaurants. The room was clean, quiet and a reasonable rate for the stay.

Stayed over on a Saturday & although it was packed, no complaints.Breakfast is the usual hotel fare and area very small,, but the staff was friendly, room was very nice and clean. I thought it was a very nice hotel for the price, which was $50-$80 cheaper per night than other nearby hotels.

Easy check in very nice hotel clerk. Room itself was large and clean at end of hall so very quite. Had in room frig and microwave. Frig was a little warmer hard to control temp, plenty of ice down the hall so could keep food cold enough. All the Staff were helpful and pleasant and the breakfast was excellent: chicken egg burritos, waffles, assorted cereal and bread. Staff restocked the breakfast and cleaned the table routinely. Very well done. We had and excellent stay.

On the day of arrival I called to ask if an early check in was possible for our room. The lady who answer said yes the room was ready and to have safe travels. When arriving Jennifer asked if we were visiting Amish Country as soon as I said yes she gave me information and well as a 10% off coupon for Texas Roadhouse. She was very helpful at check in and during checkout, we made reservations for next year.

We stayed after a day at the wineries. The hotel seemed full with a lot of golfers staying there. Our room was SO quiet with a fridge and microwave. The beds were nice and comfortable and the shower was wonderful. Breakfast was better than I expected. They did have sausage and biscuits and waffles. Those were the only hot items, but there were several other choices. I would definitely stay here again. Felt it was better priced than many of the hotels in the area.

The hotel staff was not very friendly at all, I am disabled and ask for a bottom first floor I was put on the second floor all the way in the back, not to mention she gave me keys that did not work and I have been driving For sometime. I get all the way up there to the room go all the way to the back of the hotel only to find my keys did not work. Needless to say I had to go back down and be rude attend it re-slides the keys and reset them and then head to forcefully and rudely walk in front of me and barge a head as if I did not know what I was doing and go up and unlock my door and then hand me the keys to look only to look at me as if to say you did not know what you were doing. But remember first she reset them. I would never recommend this place. The next morning different lady just as rude. I told them I could not sleep because of the foul odor in my room, it smelled like a septic tank. The water smelled septic, do not stay at this hotel unless you're willing to go in first and check out the rooms make sure you don't get stuck with one like I did

Stayed at this Hotel for a night while on a short vacation. Was clean and everything in the room worked. All employees were friendly. One thing that I loved was they offered Smoking Rooms which Most Hotels do not. As a smoker this is a Nice added bonus. There was a Holiday Inn Suite right next door that did cost a bit more but did not offer any smoking rooms, which I told the Front Desk Clerk, I will pay more for a lesser room if needed to get what I wanted. So I went 200 feet behind them and got a Very Clean well kept room at the Best Western with smoking and 30 bucks cheaper...can you say Yahhhhh

Super value! Nice clean indoor pool and very helpful staff! Beds could use new mattresses but for the price this place can't be beat. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Nice breakfast area with the usual choices of waffles, cereal, breads, coffee, juice, milk, etc. plus a daily special that might be a breakfast burrito one day or biscuits and gravy the next.

Best Westerns are like a box of chocolates: you never know what you are going to get. This one is above average, mostly because of the friendly people working there. Breakfast was not great: Sunday it was hockey pucks (biscuits) and gruel (pork gravy) and there were no newspapers.

This hotel was great from the time we came in to the time we left, Jennifer the receptionist was wonderful she made us (our large family) feel at home, we had a spur of the moment and brought our puppy with us they had a special treat bag just for him ! The breakfast was excellent. I had accidently booked for a smoking room, thanks to Jennifer after I talked to her she informed me that she changed our smoking room to nonsmoking thank goodness! After traveling 3 hours and shopping I called Jennifer to see if we could come in early due to one family member being pregnant and needed to rest luckily our rooms were ready, the beds were super comfy. When we were ready to check out she asked us if everything was excellent and up to our needs and to make sure our pregnant family member was good and didn't go into labor. we will defiantly be back! thanks for making us feel like we was at home !

I would recommend this motel to all my friends coming to that area. We had a nice stay there. We didn't know dogs were aloud there, at times you could hear the dog barking over our tv. We'll be back to visit.

Stay was quiet. Rooms were clean and everything fresh. The free breakfast was good. Bathroom was a little small with no exhaust fan, but this is minor. I would recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Ohio's Amish Country.

The staff was very friendly and professional. I found the room to be comfortable and clean. The hotel is closely located to many of Holmes county's attractions without the Holmes county tourist prices. I would recommend staying here.

Hotel room was a basic-plus. Very clean; adequate for an overnight stay. Nothing out of the ordinary. Breakfast limited in selections. Staff very nice and friendly. Should have more than 1 person on duty during check-in time, at least until 7:00 PM. We usually stay in BW when available. This one was a little less than usual Best Westerns, but it was adequate. Does not have a very good presence from the road. Sits too far back from road w/o adequate sign. Initially went to wrong hotel; told it happens often.

one of BEST we've stayed in staff great; convenient to KSU and I77 as well as rt 39 front desk remembered us from last year's granddaughter's dance recital. Parking expansive; wide spaces; short walks to entries. Accessible to restaurants both site down and fast food. .

Excellent quality for price...very nice. Excellent breakfast and staff was very friendly. Had a problem with the noise next to us but that's all. Will definitely stay here again while visiting. Also, hotel was located right off the highway.

Glad i had the motels phone # as when we got there they had the front parking shut off as they were repaving it. I had to use my cell phone to call to see where to park . Had to go through another motels parking lot then park out back. Glad they had a room open as we were early. When using a cane you don't need the extra walking. Couldn't get the A?C to work and had to call the front. The thermostat was on a wall at the other end of the room,couldn't use the one right on the A/C. Breakfast was pretty good. WE had several places we wanted to go to ,and had them programmed on my GPS,but they were not there anymore,and i got the listing from New Philadelphia's Better Business listing off the internet. Will be my last trip there.

Had a hard time finding it. Set back behind other hotels. Ladies in front desk were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, had cherries and whipped cream for waffle toppings. Lady in breakfast room was very nice and keep food filled. Not a lot of people staying there when we were there. Only thing we didn't like was the pillows. Too stuffed, hard to sleep.

I stay here frequently for business and I love this place. The Dutch Valley Best Western is a place I rely on regularly for my business. They appear to welcome everyone the same, but I always feel special there. I have dietary restrictions & they go well out of their way to accommodate me! The rooms are spacious & comfortable. The internet is good- they upgraded it. Pool is nice & they have a fitness center.

This is a great hotel for the price. I can't say enough about how friendly the whole staff is. Front desk and housekeeping are pleasant and accommodating. The beds are very comfortable and the property is extremely clean. We have adjoining rooms for us and the kids and it works out well. When we are in the area to visit my boyfriend who is working here we will certainly stay again.

We spent three weeks here a couple of years ago and came back for four nights recently. We love this place. It is pet friendly with plenty of grassy area for walking our dog. The breakfasts are excellent: lots of variety and some healthy choices too! We especially enjoyed the breakfast burritos and the oatmeal with great toppings (walnuts, raisins, coconut, and cherries!) Rooms are well laid-out with a nice sized fridge (even freezer is a good size for a hotel) and all the usual amenities. Wi-fi and HDTV worked well. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel has always been quiet when we've been here. Easy walking distance to a great Mexican restaurant. The only thing I'd suggest is that they install a doggie bag and garbage station. Not everyone will bring their own bags (as we do), and there were poop "landmines" here and there in the lawn. Thanks again for a great stay.

Hotel ideas ok, staff was amazingly friendly and everything was very clean! A+++ for pet friendliness. Disappointed the pool was out of commission but accommodations provided next door. They definitely made us feel like a part of their family.

Cute, clean hotel! Friendly staff! Great price!! The free breakfast was okay, your typical grab-and-go continental food items, but it's a nice option. Be sure to visit the Warther Museum while you're in the area. Warther was a master carver, and his creations are unbelievable! Even my husband and son, who are not "museum people" found the displays to be fascinating. Overall - Recommended!!

When traveling with a pet your selections of hotels are limited. This hotel is the best of the worst when staying in New Philadelphia, OH. This is an older facility with some updates but still could use more. Plumbing has periodic issues (toilets are finicky when flushing), luggage cart needs work (does not roll as it should) and rooms overall could use a some more updates.

Hotel was clean with a quick check in. Beds very comfortable. Actually booked because of the indoor pool, but we checked in late and the front desk would not let us. When we stayed at another Best Western in N.C.- the manager let us into the pool area for 2 hours after it closed..we just had to give them our credit card in case we messed up the pool area, which we didn't. The breakfast area was very nice, just a little small for all the people enjoying it. Housekeeping very nice and spoke every time we saw them in the halls.

An okay place to stay to save a few bucks but wish I would have spent the extra to stay somewhere nicer. The rooms were clean for the most part but we noticed a few strange stains on carpet and such. The tub also didn't seem to be the cleanest.

Our room was excellent with quality bedding, clean bathroom, spacious and well appointed with small refrigerator and microwave. Nice TV and plenty of space for our luggage. The checkin was friendly and fast and the breakfast bar was sufficient with excellent coffee. The only draw back for us was the stinking smoker rooms that we had to walk past to get to the elevator. With serious allergies we were hard pressed to breath without choking and wheezing. We left with a sore throat and nasal congestion. The stench was appalling. There is a nice indoor pool in a building attached to the main hotel. There is plenty of parking with easy access to the interstate (I-77) and easy drive to Amish/Mennonite Country. Easy walk to Hog Heaven and Texas Roadhouse for dinner.

We went up to visit Amish Country so we decided to go up the night before our touring. We had booked a room in the Best Western Dutch Valley Inn and when we checked in found the staff at the front desk to be friendly. The lobby and breakfast area are nice and breakfast is included with the cost of a room. Our room was clean and comfortable and included a microwave and mini fridge. The bathroom was a bit small but very functional with soft large towels.

On our way to Cincinnati we booked a night here. Place was clean and comfortable. My son enjoyed the pool, and the breakfast was good with many tasty options. I would recommend the Best Western as a good place to stay.

I stayed at Best Western Dutch Valley in New Phildelphia, OH from 9/15 to 9/18. The hotel was very easy to find, right off 77. I arrived very late on Thursday night. I had no problem arriving late and the desk person was very friendly and courteous. The room was nice and spacious and the bed very comfortable. The location of my room was on the 2nd floor in a very quiet corner. The hotel offered a hot breakfast each morning. Vicky and the other ladies who helped with breakfast were courteous and extremely nice. I am a vegetarian and each morning they made sure that I had a hot item to eat. The indoor pool was nice and just what the doctor ordered for tired bones. And in addition to all of this, the price was right!!! I will stay there again.

My family and I stopped here for the night on our way to Tennessee. We loved the close proximity to the expressway, gas stations and restaurants. (We ordered take out and brought it back to our room. The in-room fridge allowed us to save our leftovers!) Our room was clean and the breakfast bar was well stocked. We would come back! Friendly staff as well!

I was very pleased with my visit to this Best Western. The staff was courteous and helpful and they have a very good breakfast. Especially loved the waffles!. The rooms are clean and comfortable. It is only 2 miles to the exit to Sugar Creek in Amish Country, so it is convenient for a visit there. Everyone was also very hospitable and friendly.

I'm a germophobe so I always appreciate not having to re-clean the room I'm staying in,only thing is as clean as it was,it lacked a clean smell because it's an older building.I'd suggest some type of air cleaner. Bed sheets and covers were clean,but pillows need to be replaced,they were either flat or very lumpy.Overall ,good place to stay for price.Restaraunts within walking distance.Mexican restaraunt is very good.

It is a clean place, bed was decent if you like hard/firm bedding, indoor pool not heated and no hot tub, small excercise room. Basic breakfast typical eggs, sausage links, toast, cereal, yogurt, waffles. It is about 17 miles to the heart of amish country and is worth the drive for the amount you save a night compared to hotels in the amish area/

This hotel was in desperate need of new carpeting and the bathroom floor was stained. The lighting is so bad, you could barely see anything, especially in the bathroom!!!!! We stayed in a comfort Inn in Greensboro, NC after the stay at Best Western and it was awesome! Great lighting and everything looked new and the price was the same as the room at Best Western!!!!

We went to the pro Football Hall of Fame and we stayed here for one night in New Philadelphia, OH. The room was great, service was great, the overall stay was great. The price is very reasonable for this area as well. We enjoyed our stay..

The Dutch Valley Inn is a great place to stay when visiting Holmes County. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to accommodate their guests. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Clean and friendly are my main points

Located behind the newer Holiday Inn, this location offers adequate parking and holds it's own quite well. For $93 we had a clean room, fridge, microwave, HD Phillips TV with many channels, and most important, a comfortable bed, although the a/c blows right on it. We had a quiet room away from the elevator and ice machine. No issues at all other than the a/c. Breakfast isn't our thing at motels but we always take a peek. Nothing special here. The desk clerk took our $50 rewards sheet with no problem and the checkout process was quick and easy with the $50 properly credited. Our stay was very positive.

We stayed in a King size room. They rooms were very nice with a large bathroom. Great Breakfast with a variety of items to eat. We enjoyed the facility pool and the room was very nice. We'll stay again when we visit the area.

Everything was great about this hotel just minutes away from the Amish Country and the area was convenient close to gas stations, stores and plenty places to eat. Our one nite stay here was great! Although you can tell this is an older motel, it is updated and very clean. Updated linens and a good variety of food at the breakfast buffet helped make our stay very enjoyable! We will be back.

This is a nice, average place right off the I77 exit. It sits near a new Holiday Inn Express and another, cheaper place. It was clean, friendly. Nothing fancy. We somehow ended up in a handicapped accessible room, which was awkward. The bathroom had one small wall mirror and no counter space. It is walking distance from a decent Mexican reataurant and a very good bbq place. We did not partake of breakfast but the area looked adequate. Same with the pool. We visit this area to see relatives, so we are not seeking a luxury hotel. We would stay here again but definitely request a regular room.

Motel is located within a couple of blocks off the I-77 and convenient to many attractions in the area. Reasonably priced, has a great breakfast, laundry facilities, and indoor pool. Desk clerk even call the room after we checked in to see if everything was satisfactory. As I was traveling from out of state and would arrive before the regular check-in time, the desk clerk made sure my room was ready when I arrived. Friendly staff and customer oriented.

We had to wait more than 10 minutes to check in because there was only one person working at the desk and 4 people checking in. The place was very clean and the room was large with a comfortable bed. The breakfast area was large with plenty of room. The eggs were scrambled up to very small pieces and looked so bad I didn't eat any of them. The bacon was over cooked and there was a long line for the one waffle maker. The room was noisy from the highway traffic at night.

For the price of this hotel, it is great. It is not fancy but very well kept. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and breakfast was very good. Hotel is about 15 minutes from Amish Country, so the location is great.

Since this is BEHIND a Holiday Inn Express it can be a bit confusing to find the entrance but follow the directions on the overhead sign. Friendly and helpful staff. Loved the hot breakfast sandwiches. Location is handy whether stopping only for the night or staying in the community for a few days like we did.

I arrived here in New Philadelphia around midnight, they knew I was going to be late, and the woman at the front desk was ready for me. I had a make or break problem, not going to get into the nitty gritty, but the woman named Rene had helped me. I'm active duty military, this was an important weekend for me to see my soon to be wife and daughter. Without Rene's help this whole trip would've been a disaster, I'm eternally grateful for that. Such a beautiful hotel, rooms are clean, room service changes sheets but leaves all of your things untouched. My daughter had an accident and wet the bed, the front desk was quick to find us new sheets even though the cleaning crew was long gone. Best hotel I have ever stayed in, would visit again and again and again.

The most courteous, friendly, and hospital staff I have seen in years. After check-in and through out my stay they addressed me and my dog on a first name basis. Jennifer went out of her way to help. Very informative on the local Amish sites and attractions with easy to read maps and brochures available. Very reasonable price as well.

The room was a King and had been recently updated, nice and clean and the staff was very friendly, I actually made a reservation on the road from one of those state travel coupon books, the price was very reasonable and sometimes those deals turn out to be real dumps, not the case with this one!!! Very satisfied and the morning coffee was also very good!

This is a very nice hotel.. Would recommend this to anyone on a tight budget that needs a good hotel for a good price... Would stay here again on next trip in this area.. It is very easy to get to , if you pay attention to the signs....

Heat broke while I was there. It happens, oh well. Staff went out of their way to make it up to me without me asking. Good people. Real close to local restaurants and attractions. Had gym and other amenities, but I didn't have time to use them. Breakfast was good. Quiet place, which I like.

Everyone there is very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Hidden behind Holiday Inn, it's very much worth the stay. This is the 3rd or 4th time we have used this hotel and will continue to. Never had a problem here and continental breakfast offers a huge variety.

This is my 2nd visit to this hotel. I will not hesitate to stay here again. The staff was very warm kind and accommodating. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. Breakfast was amazing. I highly recommend anybody st consider this location .

After driving for 12 hours this was a nice, clean hotel to stop at. They boys enjoyed the pool as a way to unwind. We just relaxed and went to bed early. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast! No one left hungry.

Staff is always friendly. Bed and pillows are super comfy. I stay 2x a month, everyone knows my name. I just sign and get my key. Has my must haves- fridge and microwave. 2 cold water bottles waiting for me in the fridge, every time.

I have to travel to Cleveland Clinic annually and prefer to travel part of the way home and stop for the night. I was able to get a discount due to the reason for my stay making the price very reasonable. I also wanted a smoking room and this hotel offers that option. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Overall was a very relaxing experience.

This very well renovated hotel was a great place to stay and a great value. I was there 3 nights or business and it was very clean, freindly staff and very good breakfast. Kind of hidden behind a Holiday Inn Express but worth the find.

It was a restful night, quiet, bed was comfortable, room was clean and friendly service. Also travelling with a small pet we run into problems where people do not clean up after their pets and thus the hotel does not either. That was not the case at this hotel, it was spotless outside of dog poo. I am constantly looking for this in our stays to prevent our dog from becoming sick .

Me & my cousin stayed here for a weekend getaway. The room was cosmetically updated w new mattresses, bedding but needs more done like bath tub & surround replaced. There was some caulk missing, mold & wood rot around the door frame. The mattress was very comfortable & room was clean. The tv stand wood overlay was peeling off & our room had a thermostat for heat/ac but didn't work, still had old window unit. The staff was very nice & free breakfast was good & kept supplied. Overall, the room was worth the price we paid.

I have been staying weekly in this hotel since before it was a best western, the property is well kept and the employees are all fantastic, they go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Breakfast area is clean and the food selection good.

Facility is quiet & comfortable. People are very nice & accommodating. If there is something you need they do their best to get it for you. I need gluten free & they have breakfast foods that I can eat! You have to ask for them, but they are available in the kitchen & they happily prepare them for you. Their buffet is nice for regular humans ;-) I stay her 1-2 nights per week & truthfully sleep better here than at home. George

This hotel is an easy on / off from the freeway. The hotel staff were polite and courteous. The rooms were quiet and comfortable. During both of our stays, we were the only ones using the pool and that was a bonus. The breakfast bar impressed us with the variety of options available. Definitely recommend this hotel!

Great place to stay for the price. Newly remodeled and well maintained. Closeness to interstate is very good. Easy access with plenty of places to eat and shop. Quaint small town. Felt very safe staing there

Have stayed at this Best Western before, conveniently located just off the inter-state with several eating establishments available locally. We travel to visit family, this Best Western is located a good travel distance from where we stayed the evening before. We try to cover about 450 to 500 miles a day and this worked out for us.

We stayed here and really enjoyed our stay. Nice rooms, clean although the carpet in the room we stayed in needs to be replaced. This hotel did pay attention to our special requests, which rarely happens and sometimes those little things make a BIG difference. We didn't try the breakfast but we will next time we stay here.

Good place to stay very friendly. Clean and a comfortable bed. Good location. I would recommend this place to friends and family. Breakfast was good and you could get it until 10:00. Very nice, clean hotel in the heart of Amish country in Ohio. Very good breakfast. October is a great month to explore this area. Take some road trips in the countryside and explore Dover, New Philadelphia, and Charm.

I would book this hotel again when staying in this area. Although it is an older building it is well kept and clean. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. This is also a good value for the area as it is a very busy tourist area.

Pros Affordable room rate. Nice décor and maintenance. Very helpful desk person, fast check-in. Minifrig included. WiFi included and worked pretty well, but only 3 Mbps speed. Nice breakfast included, friendly attendant. Cons Desk chair too short for me, but office person got me a higher one. No comforter on bed, just sheets, and no blanket provided, so seemed a little cold at night. Would stay here again.

The blanket we have "hidden" between the two sheets on the bed does seem to disappear at first glance. We will gladly give another blanket upon request on your next visit, if it is during the colder weather, to help with feeling as if there was nothing there. Once again thank you for your response.

I wouldn't consider any other hotel when staying in New Philadelphia. Great room. Great Service. Great Rates. I have been staying here quite often in the last 2+ years. They are consistently providing a great hotel experience each and every stay (it's been a lot of stays)!

Great hotel tucked back off the road. Room was fresh and just enough room without bumping into each other. TV great. Bed was even better. Bathroom was too small though. In a lot of the BWs, that when sitting on the toilet, the bathroom door knob is in your face! Unfortunate. Hotel is in walking distance of a BBQ sports bar, Denny's and McD.

Thank you for your review of your stay and our area. Unfortunately you are correct in that most of the bathrooms in many hotels are so much smaller than they should be. Older style with no room to update makes it hard to move around. We hope that even with a doorknob in the way that you will come back and visit with us again soon.

My wife and I wanted to get away from home for a couple of days and go to the Columbus Zoo. We stayed at the Best Western Hotel and was very pleased with our stay. The rooms were very clean and the employees were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here anytime that we are back in this area.

This hotel was comfortable with a good breakfast and enjoyed the swimming pool. You can walk to places to eat if you wish with some shopping close by if you forgot to bring anything.We enjoyed our stay very much and this was the third time we stayed at this Best Western.

very great service asked for a specific location for the room and had no trouble... Also had tons of room to park a diesel truck and car hauler, with adequate lighting to check on the car and trailer. clean safe rooms excellent beds very comfy nice spacious room to put things an move around. there was a nice note from whom ever preciously cleans the room. remote was cert. clean really cant say anything bad.

Staff at the Best Western Dutch Valley Inn is very friendly and welcoming. They will actually take the time to converse with you. Rooms are clean and quiet. I Enjoy the pool. There are several restaurants within walking distance. I will defiantly be back.
