Je m’inscris We stayed here last week for four nights. From our arrival and through our our stay, the service was welcoming (and helpful whenever we had questions or required help). Breakfast was lovely. The location worked really well for us - very close to the motorway (but was quiet), next door to Subway etc and close to town. No problems with cleanliness as a previous review commented on. Room was tidy (and had a bath - I really appreciate that when travelling!).
I don't like writing these reviews. We just returned from a 17 day trip. We had many wonderful hotel experiences. This, however, was not one of them. The room seemed pretty clean. Oddly enough, the refrigerator was unplugged, but not a big deal. We just had water we wanted to cool down. The spider in the bathroom was not that big of a deal either...that happens. But the roaches crawling on our luggage the next morning was an issue. Luckily our luggage was closed up tight so hopefully we didn't bring any stowaways home with us. Two of the biggest issues were: 1) when we checked out the next morning the roach issue was mentioned to the person behind the counter which was met with a VERY condescending response (he obviously couldn't care less). He asked if we would like to speak to the manager and my husband did. Meanwhile I went to the car because my arms were full. We didn't expect anything except maybe an "Oh, so sorry." The manager treated my husband with the same disdain; and 2) when we got home that night I looked at the receipt and the nice guy behind the counter overcharged us by $60! Trust me when I say this particular BW is not worth $200 a night. WE WILL NOT RETURN HERE AND DON'T RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.
The last night of a long road trip and a great stop. The hotel is clean and the staff very polite. Close to a grocery store where we got dinner. We used the hot tub which felt great after a long day driving. The breakfast was good, had biscuits and gravy. Coffee was nice and hot. Beds were comfortable and the air conditioner worked great.
Very friendly staff and willing to help if needed. Always stay here when in town can't go wrong. Due to storms couldn't use the pool or hot tub.
Absolutely no food at the included breakfast on a Sunday morning. Told it would be a short wait but after an hour barely anything was brought out. Had to go to a restaurant after checking out. I
This place is a well kept secret for savvy travelers.... Situated just a few minutes off the Interstate, and lined up for a straight drive south to Topeka, KS on Hwy 75, it's like one stop shopping, complete with a Philips 66 gas bar, a Subway restaurant, and convenience store right beside the Best Western all in the same little parking lot... I like this hotel, it has a nice relaxing vibe and comfortable rooms, and it feels like home away from home.... After a long day on the road, this hotel is a welcome sight with the jacuzzi, a comfy bed, and a good hot breakfast... Staff is courteous and attentive to your needs... We stay here on our way south in December, and again in April on our way home...
It was just average but what put it down to a 2 was the cold eggs, bacon and sausage gravy. Was going to put it in the microwave but it hadn't been cleaned in a while. No milk for cereal either. Was not up to the other Best Westerns we had stayed at this trip.
In town for a high school sporting event. The front desk staff was very friendly at check in. The room and hallways were clean and inviting. Good location not far from dining. Only downfall was breakfast was not great.
Comfortable and clean hotel at a good price. I stayed at this hotel in November 2023, as well as about 14 years ago. It's just as I remember it; a clean decent hotel for a good price (120 a night with all taxes for a double room) to stop at while traveling. It's in town, about five miles off the interstate. I like the location as being a little way off the interstate makes me feel more relaxed after a long day of driving. Since it's in town, there are a few restaurants to choose from.
Hotel was clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast, plenty of food, but not a lot of choices. All was good.
As we arrived late we were impressed with how helpful and friendly the front desk personnel were. It made for a great start to a quick but wonderful stay. Because we arrived late and spent a good portion of the night talking with a cousin we had not seen for years, we asked for an extended check out and were able to stay an extra hour which was so appreciated.
Very welcoming and great customer service at this hotel. Room was clean with all amenities easily accessible. Great breakfast was offered to begin our day of exploring the area. Thank you for a very restful stay.
The owner/manager more interested in saving a dollar than the customer experience. Breakfast was limited and not served hot.. Linens were in poor shape. Mattress was worn, lumpy, and soft. No elevator.
Staff was unfriendly and not helpful. There is no elevator in this hotel so beware. Breakfast was okay but nothing great. Rooms are dated and worn. The TV remote barely worked and oh! They do not clean your room or even make your bed. I saw nothing about this being an “extended stay hotel”. Poor experience all around.
This Best Western is worth the stop. Above average breakfast options, including bacon, the morning we ate there. Nice room and fair price. It appeared like they had a nice pool and hot tub, although we didn't use those facilities this time. Cookies were even available at the front desk when we checked in.
They had everything I needed and more. My room and the whole facility was tidy and very clean. Good free wifi and many channels on the tv. Breakfast was ready early (5:30am) Every member of the staff I had contact with was friendly and helpful. I was very impressed.
Excellent stay on our road trip south. Accomodating to late check-in. Beds firmly comforatable, room temperature excellent and clean bathrooms. (Great shower!) Hot breakfast was delicious. Would recommend!
I have severe arthritis and was given a 2nd floor room with NO chance of an elevator. I dragged my luggage up 20 stairs. I should have complained or asked for a first floor room in advance but I assume that any good motel more than one floor would have an elevator. I will not make this mistake again. No sense staying at an hotel without an elevator.
It was over all a great place to stay. I was really pleased when they upgraded our room when the website wouldn't give up anything for a king. I was upset though when my sister in law got a much bigger room for a cheaper rate but over all the stay was great. Friendly staff and good food.
This was one of the nicest Best Western's that I have stayed at, especially the last few years. It was clean, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was great. They even had avocado halves which I had with my omelette!
they raised there rated due to OPPD shutdown, to get that corporate money. the breakfast was terrible. if you stay more than 2 days they will not make your beds or vacuum. they ran out of bar soap and i had to ask for more tissues.
The hotel staff were friendly and the room was very clean. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was quiet. Breakfast was very good and offered a variety of selections so everyone should have been happy.
There are far worse places to stay, but this hotel has quite a few flaws. The cleanliness of the room was ok, but could have been better. There was a bottle of water from a previous guest by the bedside table. The TV didn't work. The front desk girl was very friendly and tried to help, but in the end, the remote wouldn't change channels. Being stuck on the 700 Club was not wonderful viewing!! There were other issues, but nothing major. Just not the best value for the price.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and always found it clean with a good breakfast and courteous staff. This time was no exception except for the fact there was fresh blood on the sheets of one of the beds in my room. I alerted the person at the front desk the first day and slept in the other bed. She made note of my room number and which bed it was. I stayed there 3 more days and nothing was ever done about it.
When we arrived, our room was 60 degrees. We adjusted the temp and left to find some food. When we returned, we went to turn on the TV. Nothing. I lifted the handset on the phone in the room to call the front desk; it was dead. I walk down to the desk and the person comes to the room. She assessed the problem and left to find another remote. When she returned we were informed there are no more TVs or remotes. So, we climb into bed. OMG the bed sucks!!! The one thing a hotel should get right is the bed. Never again.
We had a couple of issues with the room. The shower curtain was missing. The glass pot of the coffee maker was missing. The sink drain was clogged bOtherwise room was quiet. AC worked and was fairly quiet
We stayed overnight at this hotel. There was no shower curtain and the tub was dirty. The mouthwash bottle had already been opened. There was not any shampoo and there was not a liner for the ice bucket. Management was unconcerned and did not offer any compensation or solution.
Let me start off by complementing the appeal of the Inn and the comfort of the king sized bed. The friendliness of the staff was exceptional. My complaint is this. At check in, we were told because we walked in off the street, the room would cost us more than if we had sat in the car in the parking lot and made a reservation online! The shower had no decent water pressure. At full pressure did not even produce a stream of water. (See attached video). There was so counter space at ALL in the bathroom for hair styling, makeup toothbrushes etc. (Also see picture in attachments) The toilet was permanently stained. Not dirty permanently stained. While using the cold water at the sink, it sprayed the mirror as well as the handle leaked excessively. When brought to the attention of the front desk, we were directed to the tripadvisor card for complaints and the handling of issues. We were attempting to ask for a partial refund, but we're encouraged to write a review, which will be doing on tripadvisor.com as well as on Facebook and other social media. It is our opinion that if you are going to charge $175 for a room, the quality of the room should reflect that. This facility did not.
The staff was very friendly and more than accommodating. The room was clean and quiet. My grandsons enjoyed swimming in the pool. The breakfast choices were great. Everyone was able to choose something that appealed to them.
friendly and helpful staff, we had a pleasant conversation, would reccomend this bw to everyone and would stay there again if ever in the area again. good coffee fresh fruit in the morning the night I arrived there were restaurants close by, in walking distance
Horrible staff!! Lied to me right from the get go!! Asked me if I wanted 2 queen sized beds. Told them yes. Got to our room and beds were full sized instead of queen. Went back up front to ask about it and was told that they do not have any queen beds..... they only have full sized beds. Now I've traveled a bit and never heard of a hotel having only one size bed in it. I voiced my dissatisfaction and was told the manager would contact me...... well 4 days later and I'm still waiting!! Extremely pissed about the whole experience and will never stay there again!!!
I have nothing negative to say other than getting screamed at by a person staying there because I put ice in a bag, and he thought I was emptying the ice machine, and he wouldn't get his. The woman working on check in was super friendly. The others were fine. They weren't overly friendly, but fine. The room was nice also. It was big. The breakfast was decent and they had chocolate milk, which my son loved. It was a fine place to stay, and if I were in the area again, I would stay there. It just wasn't anything special for a Best Western in my opinion. There were some spots by the shower on the wall, but I don't know if they are mold or not.
We were greeted by Kenzie upon our arrival. She was friendly and helpful to us and other guests. Our room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. We slept great. Our breakfast was hot and the choices were varied. Great place and we'd definitely recommend.
**No elevators. Banister railing loose and wobbly. Hotel was ok for a quick stop. Carpets, furniture, etc. Stained and dirty. Our shower was not clean, black hairs all over in it. Beds were comfortable. PM shift had friends there talking to ger, so was more interested in them than checking us in.
Excellent experience and glad to see a motel that hasn't caved to the covid fear mongering by cutting services and amenities. The pool and breakfast room were open. Rooms were very clean and cozy. Young lady at front desk was very friendly and helpful. I noticed she was studying whenever she wasn't attending to customers so appreciate her effort and willingness to WORK even with a busy college schedule. It's so refreshing to run across someone of that age who is driven and not willing to just exist, which is far to common at many hotels.
This was our second time staying here. Both stays were comfortable and pleasant. Nice pool area and dining area. The room was clean and they practiced safety during the pandemic. The motel is right off of highway 2 which made it very convenient. Highly recommend.
Rv's must park off site in Subway parking lot, as there is NOT ample parking. Room was smelly. There was no elevators and worst of all staff was neglectful with an unwelcoming demeanor during my stay. Most of the reviews I read about this property was obviously fake.
Checked in online. Wanted a King Room. When arrived was told I did not have reservation. Gave my room to another guest. Should check ID to verify room. Should not blame on New Employee. Should not have to pay for a Double Bed!!
Our room was very nice. Lighting was good for reading. There was a comfortable arm chair plus desk chair, so both of us had a chair to sit in to read or watch tv. Beds were comfortable. We heard no outside noise. Breakfast was the best we've had at a motel.
enjoyed our stay, friendly staff, nice rooms, great location. Hot breakfast was tasty. Made our visit to Peru State College an easy drive of 20 minutes. Lots of options for fast food nearby and easy access to I 29, US 75, and Hwy 2
This is a smaller motel so it gives more attention to customers than usually is the case. We enjoyed our stay and were amazed about how welcoming the front desk was when we arrived. It was a very nice place to stay but be sure to request a ground floor room if you have a problem with stairs. Sincerely, Del Chausse, Paso Robles, California
Rhonda and Frankie are liars. They threatened to call the cops on my family and kicked us out. The management/staff did not wear mask. The rooms are FILTHY! I will NEVER stay at BW again! I will have the cameras reviewed to show that we were treated badly. We have witnesses saying that everyone in my family was very cordial and we were kicked out because of a points issue that we are due. The points don't come out of the pockets of the personnel, so why did this become such an issue? We will not be discriminated against for technical issues that don't even effect the personnel. VERY DISAPPOINTED AND AGGRAVATED! Disclosing that the personnel requires masks and they did not wear one!!!!!!
An excellent experience overall. The front desk staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. The room was pleasantly clean and well organized. The layout was spacious and more than adequate for our needs. The "hot" breakfast was a good start to the day. A microwave burrito, some oatmeal, coffee and fruit. The next time in Nebraska City, I will definitely come back.
Best Western seldom disappoints. This is an older establishment but maintained and clean. They did offer cereal and donuts for breakfast as well as breakfast pizza and tortillas. The wi-fi and television line up were good. I paid cash when checking in but the poor guy couldn't figure up what he owed me. He gave me back change once then a few minutes later asked for it back then gave me change again. He couldn't give me a receipt. When I checked out the next morning I asked for a printed receipt. I was cheated out of a few dollars. He had a calculator and I gave him $100 bill. How easy could it be! I can't get on to the BW website, sure hope I at least got my points and I am suppose to get a free gas card.
We had a fantastic stay at the Best Western in Nebraska City. The man that checked us in, Robert, was very helpful, and made sure that we had everything that we needed to make our stay wonderful. Clean rooms, great beds, and just a very good stay at the hotel.
We were a bit hesitant to stay in a hotel during COVID but needed to during a family trip. We were very pleased with our stay. Everything was very clean and safety rules were followed. Staff was courteous, friendly, and informative. Breakfast was delicious, easy to take and go, and individually wrapped! We would stay here again in the future!
Room was clean, property is older, everything is very basic. Staff was very friendly. I wish there had been better communication prior to check in about the pool being closed and the breakfast being a bag with an apple and a nutrigrain bar, as I would have packed more food for the kids. Overall it was fine, convenient stop and I felt comfortable from a safety standpoint with the staff wearing masks, social distancing, etc.
Perfect experience! Room was wonderful. Very clean. Bathroom was immaculate. Pool and hot tub were wonderful. Staff very friendly. No complaints! Convenient location too. My family enjoyed are stay and will definitely be back!
rooms were clean; place was quiet; got a good night's rest; But this place is really cutting back using Covid-19 as an excuse. No in-room stationary. No pens. Though you can ask for them at the front desk. Biggest disappointment of all. No breakfast! My so called "grab and go" breakfast consisted of a mini-water bottle, un-edible orange, and worthless cereal bar. Don't believe their website! There is no breakfast offered here!
Older hotel, but well maintained, clean and good amenities. Staff are courteous and helpful. The room I was in had comfortable bed, clean and all amenities working. I had no issues with noise level even though my bedroom window is right by the highway. I barely heard noises from adjoining rooms at night. The only negative that I would say about this hotel as others have pointed out is that the morning coffee they serve is weak and the egg choices were minimal. Overall this hotel is a good deal and the price they charge is very reasonable. I will stay in this hotel again when I'm in the area.
Staying at the Best Western in Nebraska City is always an enjoyable experience. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the WiFi connection is great, and the breakfasts are always good. I would recommend this motel to anyone. It is easy to get on the main roads from this motel and there are numerous restaurants in Nebraska City to eat at.
Love to stay here but the pool was down which we weren't told at. the time which upset our son he loves to swim and it's in the location of where we are always at but hoping next time it will be open so he can swim other than that it's a wonderful hotel
We were so pleasantly surprised by how very clean our two adjoining rooms were. They were so clean I thought the place must have been recently renovated but they just have a wonderful cleaning staff that take pride in their work (Makensie and Ashleigh). Frankie at the front desk was friendly and welcoming, we felt right at home here. The dining area was clean and our breakfast was perfect with lots of choices (omelets, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy over biscuits, belgium waffles, cereals, donuts, sweet rolls and bread, bagels, juice, milk and hot coffee, etc). The pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable. We look forward to our next stay here.
Nice clean rooms reasonably priced. Staff is kind and helpful. Good variety for breakfast selections. Indoor pool and hot tub are bonus entertainment for the kiddos. Convenient location close to the highway.
For a guest using a cane, who counts on ADA hotel/motel features this BW met my needs. From the automatic front doors to the shower/bath tub I have no complaints. The breakfast hat hot foods, not just the waffle maker, but scrambled eggs but bacon and sausage and biscuits and gravy. Located close to I-29 as well as HWY2 and hwy 75. Dining choices are varied and close by. Subway just across the parking lot.
Great weekend. Do it every year at same time and location. The staff always make us feel welcome. They allow us to virtually takeover the place. The price is very reasonable. We have already made our reservations for next year,
Our stay at the Best Western in Nebraska City was very nice. It's in a very good location for anyone traveling through Nebraska City. There has been a lot of flooding in that area, and some hotels aren't open right now. This hotel was very clean and we had a good night of rest.
Good price, but the room smells like a lot of older hotels. Wouldn't stay here again. It is a ways off interstate 70. Desk clerk was very nice and there are a lot of places to eat in the area. Wouldn't stay here again.
Frankie met us as we came in the door and said, Yes, I have rooms! That was music to my ears. We were tired and also did not want to pay out of site price like across highway. Great rate, great room, great breakfast. But most of all #1 Frankie! Front desk, and maintenance! New carpet, ice machine and good food right down the street. Will return!
Good quite location. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy and fast. Clerk gave wonderful suggestions and good directions for a wonderful diner. This is a clean newer hotel. Great breakfast.
Wonderful service! Clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice bed and shower. Breakfast was typical. ( wasnt very warm. But used the microwave). Would stay again. Did not use pool due to arriving late.
The staff make this hotel! Super quick check in. We were told where our room was located along with laundry, pool and gym. Room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and the staff treated us with a good morning! We would definitely stay here again.
I have never been disappointed staying at this hotel!! The stay is so accommodating the breakfast was great and we love the size of the pool! The staff will go out of their way to help any way you need, would highly recommend this hotel
We traveled from South Carolina and had no idea what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised. We spent one afternoon in the pool area with our 5 grandchildren and made some great memories. The staff were excellent.
It may cost a few more dollars than the other local hotels, but it truely delivers the best experience. Our son went to college in the area, and we did try other locations, but the last two years, we always made sure we booked far enough out to stay here. Kuddos to the staff and to everyone in Nebraska city that make this property wonderful.
Very nice hotel and a good value. It was clean and Quiet. Very friendly staff. Lots of breakfast choices and a nice, clean eating area. The,room, and bed, was very comfortable. Would stay here again if in the area.
Good location. Clean comfortable rooms. Pool and hot tub were clean & in goood working order. The 2 double beds in my room are old & need to be replaced. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms are dated and in need of update.
I have stayed here several times when I am in Nebraska City. It is always clean, the complimentary breakfast is good and the pool and gym are enough. It is near both Hwy 75 and Route 2 so is convenient for both trips to Nebraska City or if just passing through. On most recent trip it appeared that rooms had been refreshed with paint and furniture.
we were greeted with a 'hello' or 'hi' from most of the employees we interacted with, which is nice. room was spacious, clean, and beds were very comfortable. breakfast was sufficient and for those that can't find anything are too picky or should consider dining out. the breakfast are included waffles, cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, three kinds of milk, eggs (premade), sausage and bacon, breads, etc. overall good experience.
Overall experience very good. Bed comfortable. Room very nice and clean. Eating establishments close and a variety to pick from. I would definitely stay here again. Very close and convenient to highway.
This is an inexpensive hotel, but located close to the main highway, the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, and not far to the downtown area. Our room was quite large, but the towels were very thin. A standard breakfast was offered, but not up to the good offerings we've gotten at other Best Westerns. They offered premade omelets and sausage gravy, which my husband said was okay, but not special. The waffle was fine, but only "fake" butter was offered. Also, the coffee was bad (only bad coffee we had on our 3 1/2 week road trip). The plastic utensils were very flimsy and could easily break. The hotel had a sign to advise guests to beware of fraudulent calls to the guest rooms, but the staff said that they had changed their phone system and we shouldn't get such calls. We didn't. It was nice to let us know about the potential.
As always when we travel South for the winter, we stopped at this hotel. And as always we were not disappointed. Starting out with truly awesome cookies at the check-in, a great room with one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, great working internet connection, and a breakfast second to none before starting a new day. Very friendly service from everybody there. We will be back.
Called to ensure I could get the room I needed before I made my reservation online via BW website and the sweet gal on the phone, Cindy, was cheerful, patient & helpful. Upon arrival, Melinda was warmly welcoming and check-in was a breeze. The lobby was charming, decorated for Christmas, and it was hard to resist the freshly baked cookies on the counter. My room, a standard double, was spotless. Bathroom was sparkling clean w/lots of granite counter space and generous supply of towels, including face cloths folded into cute little origami animals :-) Room was nicely appointed w/fridge/micro & flat screen TV. Lots of channels to choose from including TWC and TCM. Easily accessible electrical outlets for chargers on desk and bedside table lamps. Free wifi w/plenty of signal strength and I was able to check weather and routing for the rest of my trip, stream Netflix, etc. Super comfortable bed w/triple sheets and fat, fluffy pillows. Digital temp controls on heater. Parking lot was well lit and I felt my vehicle was secure. Enjoyed Wolfgang Puck in-room coffee next morning. Receipt had been placed under the door during the night along with a nice letter expressing appreciation for my business. Didn't partake of the continental breakfast but noticed Almond Milk in the fridge, yay !!! There are less expensive accommodations in the area, but when I am traveling solo and arriving after dark, it's worth every extra cent to stay someplace where I feel safe. This is NOT one of those places where an indifferent front desk clerk can barely tear themselves away from their smart phone long enough to attend to the needs of the guests, or sketchy characters are lurking in the shadows and roaming the walkways. Rather, this is a lovely property with outstanding customer service & I look forward to staying here again :-)
his is a simple hotel with great Nebraska hospitality. They had cookies on a Sunday evening (Snickerdoodle and chocolate chip) and offered free bottled water so both were nice touches. Our room was clean, quiet (which I liked) but the internet got iffy at one point. The AC worked very well. Breakfast was decent enough here. They had sausage gravy but it was terribly thick - gloppy at best. I'd have thinned it with milk but they only had it in cartons and I didn't want to waste a carton. They had donuts that were obviously from a real donut shop.
This is 1 of the best places I've ever stayed at! Good location--near the beltway & on the main drag that goes directly into Nebraska City. Across from the parking lot is a convenience store with a Subway attached. Nice pool & whirlpool area. The room was super clean. Had a king sized bed with 6 pillows. It was very comfortable. If you're traveling with someone who is disabled, handicapped or in a wheelchair, I highly recommend this place as everything is very accessible (lowered area with hangers, wide doors, etc.). Breakfast was amazing with all sorts of toppings for pancakes. There were 4 different types of cereal offered. Not only did they offer regular milk but almond milk, too. I was very impressed by this! There were biscuits with gravy along with bacon (was crispy just the way I like it) & omelets. Have only 2 complaints. One is minor. Wish front desk person who came to my room to work on cable reception had worn shoes. Would have been more professional looking. Second complaint is there were cable problems. The front desk clerk tried several ways (reprogramming remote, switching cables out) to fix problems. In the end, she said they've had problems with Spectrum over the last 3-4 days & just couldn't watch local stations of ABC, NBC, CBS & Fox. As long as avoided those stations, the cable TV work. Because of that, thought should get a slight discount off of room price. Hopefully they'll get the cable matter fixed soon.
Very welcoming staff anxious to accommodate any of your needs. Rooms are very clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast served til 10 AM offered a variety of hot and cold options. We are repeat customers and highly recommend the Best Western Nebraska City Inn
Arriving from out of state, there was people ahead of us to check in. Waiting our turn, we watched the lady, working, at the counter. She answered incoming phone calls, questions from people in front of her, and was informative about times for things all the while continuing their check in. Through all the 'busy' she remained professional, pleasant, and heck was even a bit funny. Our room was clean, the whole place was clean, clean, clean! We were not disappointed with any aspect of our stay. This will now become our game day sleep over site!! Plus there is a Taco Bell across the street!!!!!
Horrible to non-existent WIFI, subpar breakfast, and I am pretty sure there is mold in the AC unit that caused me an allergic reaction. I would not recommend this hotel anyone. When I reported an issue with the WIFI, the staff seemed unconcerned. I asked to switch rooms to get a better signal. Even with the better signal, the internet kept dropping out every few minutes and was very weak at all times. When on a business trip, having reliable access to the internet is a high priority. This hotel just doesn't meet my expectations.
I can't imagine how you could do better! The entire staff, from counter to cleaning to breakfast, were great! The breakfast area, purpose built, was well stocked and clean. And the room was wonderful! This is probably the quietest hotel room I've ever stayed in! It's no wonder this property is routinely filled! If you're going to be in the area, make your reservation early! Excellent!
We always enjoy our stays at Best Western. They have never disappointed us. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is very professional and helpful and friendly. They are quick to accommodate and take care of your needs.
Right by a highway, less than a 5 minute drive into town and the Arbor Lodge State Park and Tree House. Pros -- price is fantastic, hospitality is great and cordial and helpful, breakfast was perfect, wifi works very well, the facility is very clean, the pool is well cared for, ample parking, and right next to a gas station/convenient store for other necessities. Cons -- quite frankly, none that are relevant. Highly unlikely we will be there again, as we visiting the area to run a race. But I would recommend this to anyone -- families, couples, or just someone driving solo for work/adventure.
It was right off the highway and was easy to find and walking distance to Walmart and a gas station right next door to the motel. We also appreciated the cookies in the lobby and smiles and hellos from the staff. They made us feel at home! Please be aware that this motel does not have an elevator. We did not know this when we booked the rooms. While not a huge problem we were traveling with my also 80 year old mom and going up and downstairs could have been problematic.
Clean, good sized rooms, good breakfast, courteous staff, easy check in / check out. Good location for getting out to surrounding points of interest. Easy and fast internet. Walmart, Subway, Pizza Hut all within walking distance.
This is a very solid Best Western located just off the interstate. Comfortable and clean rooms, friendly staff, and reasonably updated facilities. Recommended to anyone passing through and needing a good place to stay.
We had our Grandson will who was 8 years old with us. We specifically drove the extra miles off of I29 to go to this motel for the pool. The pool was cold, our grandson who loves to swim only was in it at the most for about 5-10 minutes. We also checked it out by stepping down into it (3 adults). It was cold! When mentioning it to the front desk, she said it was kept at 82 degrees and that they check it every 4 hours! She just basically blew it off and didn't recheck to see if something was wrong with the temp or pool heater. The front desk person was NOT busy at the time!! I also mentioned it to front desk when checking out in the morning, NO APOLOGIES!! Breakfast was good, nice selection.
Housekeeping knocked on my door before checkout time had even passed, even though my Please do not disturb sign was out. Bathtub leaks water so you have to keep refilling it. Breakfast taken down in large part before the ending breakfast time. Make your guests feel welcome, don't try to rush them out!
We needed a reservation at 1 a.m. and called the 800 # being it was after midnight. The clerk was pleasant & helpful with our reservation. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The room was clean.
This hotel is just what you need during a long trip. I would stay here a again. Tina was as hospitable an employee in the hotel business. She helped us tremendously. Stay here you will not regret it. The price is right.
I came here for a business trip for a customer in a nearby town. The check-in process was quick and I was offered express check-out, though I still had to check out through the normal method. The room was clean and comfortable. The Internet was fine as well. The breakfast was the standard breakfast buffet and not anything really special. I did try out the spa and that was a welcome visit given the frigid temperatures at the time. There was an issue with one of the outer hotel doors not working with the key cards, but the staff let us know about it and it wasn't really a big deal. This is probably the best place to stay in the area. One thing to be aware of is that part of the hotel has windows that face the highway offramp. If you get an inconsiderate trucker, you might be in for a rude awakening if they engine brake down the ramp. If you've ready any of my previous hotel reviews you know I like a soft bed and these beds were not soft, but standard for a hotel. I'm starting to think I need to pack a pad or something, but it's not the worst bed I've had at a hotel.
Decent hotel if passing through and need a nights stay. We were traveling through the area and needed a place to sleep for the night. It was a clean hotel, good location. Breakfast could have been better.
Above average motel experience. The staff were very accommodating, yet professional. Two full-size beds were in my room that seemed odd as most of the competition in this class of motel has queen sized beds.
Great motel everything is clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful. the breakfast has wide variety to chose from, Great location. 5 miles from I-29.. fast food and restaurant close by,
This hotel had one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time. The hotel was very comfortable and convenient in relation to both Hwy 74 and IH29. The showers had excellent water pressure. I would stay here again.
Quiet, clean and customer service top notch. Pool well maintained, location right off Hwy 2 very convenient yet still quiet. Only critical remark is beds a bit stiff. Overall great option for NE City area.
Stayed during the Thanksgiving holiday week and was hopeful for an option to the pricier Lied Lodge. Overall it was an average experience - the room was fairly clean (there were several places in the bathroom that could have used more attention), the bed was comfortable (although the parking lot light still lit up the room at night despite the drapes), breakfast, free wi-fi and a pool/hot tub were nice additions. I used the workout room which was also a welcome feature. Would recommend as an option for a night or two.
I appreciated the value and cleanliness of this BW.. Always very friendly people and a quiet place to stay. Have stayed there before and will again. I would recommend this hotel if you're staying in Nebraska City.
Clean, a pool, decent breakfast, friendly staff. Best place within a 30 mile radius with a reasonable price. Fresh baked cookies are a nice addition when you check in. Road construction is somewhat troublesome but not too much of a problem
Excellent service and delicious breakfast! The bed was comfy, the room was clean, the food was plentiful and good. The staff was friendly and made sure my stay was fantastic. I will definitely stay here again when I visit my son at Peru State College.
We stayed at this Inn following a night at the Lied Lodge. We were very pleased with the accommodations and hospitality. The facility was nice and clean, not counting a few carpet stains upon entering the first floor main hallway. The receptionist was very, very nice and provided the breakfast area for us to gather with another couple. This area was clean and neat and the breakfast the next morning was fairly good not counting the scrambled eggs that are your typical "instant scrambled eggs". The rest of the food was quite good and the choices plentiful.
We chose to cut over to Nebraska City from Lincoln since we were headed south to Arkansas from there. Chose this Best Western and am glad I did. Very quiet, comfortable room and very friendly, knowledgeable staff. Five minutes away from the Lied Lodge & Conference Center where we chose to dine that evening. Would definitely stay here again.
My daughter and I stayed here very recently on a trip to see this beautiful town and Arbor Lodge State Park which is here. It was spotless and probably the best breakfast I have ever had at a best Western. Great staff
Check in started out bad when clerk photo copied drivers license. Are we going to commit a crime ?? No need for that information and credit card info available to unauthorized people. We did not sleep well due to such small bed. We are not big people. Fix those two things and the experience would be much improved.
We stay at this hotel every time we come down to visit our daughter and her family. It is very nice, the staff has always been very friendly, rooms are cozy and the breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast. The only suggestion I have for this hotel is to replace the towels they are getting very thin.
We were at this property with a group of college friends. The facility is nice -- the staff is very helpful, knowledgeable about the area and points of interest and accommodating. The rooms are a nice size and everything seemed neat and clean.
It was a pleasure to stay here. At BestbWesterns, you always know what you are going to get. Excellent and Friendlt Service, a very clean room and a great breakfast. All for a very reasaonable price. You cannot go wrong
My husband and I stayed overnight at this hotel for business and although we have found Best Westerns around the country to be a good choice, this specific hotel had very uncomfortable, outdated beds. Our room also had a subtle smoke smell that made it feel stale and dirty.
I needed a good sleep after a long driving day (July 4th). This place provided just that. A comfortable bed. A very nice pool and hot tub. A hearty breakfast. Pleasant staff. Convenient to the highway. All for a reasonable price. What more could anyone ask?!?! (I could even see, at a distance, the holiday fireworks from my room.)
Needed a room for one night and it was late and this is located right off the interstate. A room was available and it was clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating and the price of the room was perfect! Breakfast the next morning was great too!
Best Western Nebraska City, Nebraska. This hotel is close to Peru State College and is very clean, friendly staff, nice hot breakfast and has a warm cozy atmosphere. We will def be making this our home of choice while visiting our son in college there.
The hotel was nice and clean. It had stairs instead of an elevator, but that wasn't a problem because it was only two story. Had an indoor pool and hot tub. Decent breakfast. We only stopped in for one night on a road trip and it was perfect.
I found the Best Western Nebraska City Inn to be an excellent place to stay during my trip from Kentucky to Idaho. Savannah at the front desk was courteous and professional and told me to contact her if I needed anything (I didn't the room was great.). There were a lot of people staying the same night but my room was perfectly quiet. I had a room with two full beds which slept great. All the bedding was very clean and soft. The air conditioning in the room was excellent and easy to set at a comfortable temperature. All the room furnishings were modern and in excellent condition. The carpeting was very clean as was the bathroom. The breakfast area was spotless and the breakfast was fine with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereal, pastries, toast, waffles, yogurt, milk, juice, and coffee. I would happily stay here again. It is difficult to find a place to stay that is this nice at anywhere near the price I paid.
Make note: This hotel DOES NOT HAVE AN ELEVATOR. Depending on your room, you may or may not have grip strips in the bath tub. There are minimal anemities in the room. Room was very adequate for sleeping (darkness) and bed was good. Friendly staff.
Great place to stay if in the area. We used it as "base" for sightseeing Lewis and Clark Center, Arbor Lodge and Farm, Orchards and new swimming center. Close to Lincoln and Omaha for additional sightseeing.
Needed a place to stay. Glad this was here. Clean hotel with very friendly staff. Called direct to book and got a lower price than some from Internet booking sites. They want 200 characters and I hope that this is enough.
Stayed here for one night. Had two queens on second floor. Small property, nice indoor pool. Staff was friendly and check in was easy. Room was standard and comfortable beds. I've stayed at many best western properties and have seen cleaner. I notice little things that probably some would not notice. Breakfast was simple and standard. Would stay here again.
Hotel was very clean. Staff was friendly. Cookies at the desk in the evening. Breakfast was adequate. We stayed in several hotels over the past two weeks while on vacation and this was one of the nicest and had a great price!
This property is nice and clean. Comfortable beds. Affordable. Kind and friendly staff. Good breakfast options. Easy location and close to restaurant, gas station, and Wal-Mart. Welcoming lobby and cookies waiting.
We arrived very late on a Thursday night and were glad the door was unlocked and two friendly people were there to greet us. Our room was convenient and comfortable except for the low toilet. At least there was a fan in the bathroom. The hair dryer was not working and to their credit when we checked out the woman said if I had reported it they would have brought a new one. The shower was less than pleasant with high pressure water and a shower head that we could not adjust. Felt good on the back but hurt on the front.
We have made 3 trips so far this spring/summer and this was the first time we have stayed at a Best Western in a couple of years due to convenience of location. However, this was such an enjoyable stay and our room was so very clean and comfortable. We will definitely be looking for Best Western when we take our next trip this fall.
This is my 3rd time staying at this exact hotel, the staff are Professional as always.. from their attire/ uniforms to their demeanor. Everyone greets you with a smile and a hello! And the breakfast is not your normal continental style, it's above and beyond. You can make your own waffles, fresh fruit and bagels and the coffee by renowned chef Wolfgang is amazing!!
I was here from California for my mothers memorial service and have never had such a pleasant experience at a Best Western. I have stayed in San Francisco and Anaheim several times and the Nebraska City Best Western is at the top of my list. They make you feel like family the moment you walk in the door. No one ever walks past you without looking you in the eyes to ask you how are you or is there anything you need. First Class employees and first class establishment.
I would have given this Best Western only 3 circles (stars) if it weren't for the nice person at check in. We stayed on May 30 going North and June 4 on the way South. Our first night as soon as we walked in I saw the stairs. With a bad leg that would be a problem. We were given a room on the second floor. I asked if it were possible to get a ground floor room. The change was made with no problem at all. We asked about places to eat. We were sent downtown to a new restaurant that was just right for us. On our second visit I asked for a ground floor room immediately. The only available room was two queen beds instead of a king. We took it. Again the change was made easily. We again asked about restaurants. We knew the place downtown would be closing soon. We were told about a place just across the river. While not the greatest place for us for supper it was at least open late. The food was good. The road construction was also a minus, but that will be over sooner or later. From what we were told the work was very necessary. Be careful!
Chose this hotel over a more expensive hotel. My bad! Had to request a different room due to the over powering mildew/mold smell. 2nd room was better but definitely not fresh smelling. Room service tried to clean our room at 8:30 am. The knock on the door woke us up. They were back in 45:minutes and woke us again.
We choose this hotel every time we travel to Nebraska City. A very comfortable hotel with excellent personnel. We would definitely recommend staying at this Best Western when visiting in Nebraska City.
The motel isn't in the middle of town, but it's quickly accessible by car to anywhere in town. We had a lovely, clean room and would definitely stay there again. The woman at the desk was helpful and willing to provide assistance.
First time staying at this hotel. We were in town for our grandson's graduation.Only here for one night, and had no problems whatsoever. Excellent friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, comfortable beds.
Conveniently located next to the highway, but no so where any highway noise etc. takes away from a good night's sleep. Great breakfast, wonderfull staff, and conveniently located to several places to eat and gas up. Wonderful staff as well.
This place never disappoints. We have stayed there several times and never had any problems. You can count on great service and a very friendly staff. I wish the parking lot was a little bigger but everything else is first rate.
Incredible customer service, very friendly & helpful! We were throwing a surprise birthday party & they helped us find the food venue. We were also allowed to have our family meet in the lounge to chat & be together for a few hours, which was wonderful as we were all traveling to meet up. Our time together was greatly appreciated!
Trademark BW customer service makes this place special. I can overlook a lot if the customer service is great...thus 5 stars instead of the 4 it probably deserves. We arrived and found out that they don't have an elevator. If you have any physical/medical reasons that this makes it difficult for you...make sure and let them know when you make your reservation. Breakfast was normal BW with one exception...fresh donuts. Not tiny micro-donuts...big, beautiful, glazed donuts. Hmmmm, I might have to go back!
I have stayed at the Lied which was enjoyable, but clearly that is a more costly choice. Staff was friendly at Best Western. Quick check in. Two floors, be prepared to carry your luggage up by yourself. Toilet plunger stuck after every flush. Only one ice machine. Make sure your room is close to it if you like or depend on having ice handy. Regret not being able to use the hot tub and pool. It was open until 11p but wedding schedule just didn't allow for use. Breakfast bar smelled good, but didn't have time to use it either. Room was very clean and didn't have any lingering odors. Maid service was okay. Couple of rumples remained in a refreshed bed. Bed was more on the sturdy than soft side.
This was the first time I have stayed at a Best Western in quite a while. I was pleasantly surprised that they have really improved. This local was very clean with many modern conveniences. Very comfortable beds. I enjoy the breakfast they provided.
I like this place and will return , best place I have found to stay in Nebraska City , its a small best western , and breakfast is typical hotel food , but all completely acceptable , the only thing to say negative is the lobby is hard to get though ,because of all the furniture in it , but will stay again for sure
Very friendly and welcoming staff that made you feel at home. The facilities were very well kept as well as very clean and tidy. Parking area was a little congested, but manageable. No elevator access to second floor, so make sure you book a ground level if needed.
Walls are thin and breakfast was okay, but clean rooms and excellent staff make up for these. Didn't seem to be night owls there Sunday thru Thursday anyway, so even if your neighbors TV blasted into your room, it was off by 9PM and quiet until 5AM. I've had thin walls in Charlotte, Atlanta and San Fransisco, finally would have the courage to call front desk at 11PM so this was better. So overall it was loud, but everyone quieted down by 9PM. Breakfast was okay, coffee was good. Rooms were very clean and staff were friendly and helpful.
This hotel is conveniently located near the highway if you are going from Kansas City to Lincoln, NE. If possible, ask for a room on the north side of the hotel so that you do not hear the trucks' engine breaks as they stop at the intersection near the hotel. We turned on the fan to diminish the noise.
We have been staying at this hotel many times over the last 5 years. The rooms are very nice, comfortable and clean. The staff is excellent and very friendly. Outstanding breakfast buffet, that has everything you would want, and is constantly kept clean. Not to mention the freshly baked cookies at the check-in counter, which make you feel right at home. To keep up this level of service over so many years, takes dedicated people, who make you feel right at home the minute you walk in the door.
This was a good hotel to stay at. We had a better experience at this hotel than at the Lied Lodge this time around for this particular trip. I would recommend this place. It was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Wish we could have spent more time there to use more of its facilities, like their indoor pool.
Excellent staff and excellent hotel. Keep up the great work... I would recommend the Best WESTERN in Nebraska City to anyone whom I talk to. As a matter of fact, friends of ours, also from Winnipeg stayed at the same place the next day from us and have also said they loved the experience and the place. I think this is an example hotel to many others...
The location of this hotel is perfect for the first leg of our trip from Canada to Mexico.. Hotel is very clean, and staff is accommodating ! Gas and subway next door.. Room was spotless, good internet and tv.. Would highly recommend this property. Jwvw
Even though I didnt swim, it looked like the cleanest and nicest pool area and excersize room I've ever seen in a Best Western in some time (well for a small Hotel) But the Rooms were very clean and cozy. I would definately stay here again.
Loved the staff, all very friendly and accommodating. Located next to Subway and a 2 minute walk to Walmart. If you have a child attending Peru state college, it's 15-20 minute drive. No other hotels near the school that compare.
This is a 30 room hotel. If you want to stay you might need a reservation. Hotels seem to be a little more scarce. The room was clean, the bed comfy and the a/c worked. A hot standard breakfast was included: eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuits, waffles, cereal and pastries. Not memorable but convenient. Coffee needs improvement.
Good sleeping beds and finally some softer pillows. Air conditioner is very noisy, and walls are thin as you can hear people talking in next room and also whom ever was above us on the 2nd floor we heard them up and down walking heavily all night. The breakfast was like most except they have fresh pastries brought in daily and they were the best ever! Staff friendly, main complaint was the bathroom door does not even open all the way as the bathroom is to small and it would hit against the tub.
Best hotel in Nebraska City. Clean, good breakfast, excellent staff. Good workout room and pool. Staff courtious, professional. Rooms all updated, comfortable beds, quite. Good location. I recommend!!
This place reminds me of a little B&B. It's two story but no elevator. They have free continental breakfast. There are mini fridges and microwaves. On the other side of the small cornfield next door is a Wal-Mart within walking distance. We enjoyed staying here. It was a little hard to find due to the road construction at the intersection where we were supposed to turn.
This property is aging but still serves well and is ideally located for east-west transit through the Midwest. Currently, road construction chokes routes around this hotel, but the fireflies and the corn field sooth the migratory soul. Breakfast was minimal, but do we need to stuff ourselves? Service was felicitous overall. Stay here for a good room at a modest price.
My girlfriends and i descended on the hotel for a long weekend getaway. We booked three rooms, and the entire staff--from the janitorial to the maids to the front desk -- went out of their way to accommodate us. They even allowed us to take over the breakfast room to congregate! Would HIGHLY recommend and would stay again!! Would rate 11 stars if we could.
My 2 toddlers, elderly parents, and 2 nieces stayed here in August 2016. We had some special requests due to my handicapped father and the toddlers - all requests were handled great and were ready when we got there. The hotel is newer, very clean, the staff obviously take pride in their work and did a great job. Very happy with our decision to stay. There was construction on the roads all around it but the location was excellent- 2 minutes to Walmart, Fareway grocery store, and lots of local resturants. Would definitely stay here again. staff was great resource and the kids really enjoyed the pool. Rooms had microwaves and refrigerators which was a nice suprise.
Very easy to find, right off the highway. Very clean rooms. Quiet for being a busy hotel. We went for a wedding, they put our friends and family right by each other. I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a place to stay in Nebraska City.
This hotel was a little off of the main highway but well worth it! Very clean and comfortable. The front desk lady, named Carrie was helpful. Room we stayed in was up to date and comfortable. I would stay here again! The pool area was well arranged and the hot tub was awesome!
This hotel was very clean. Our bed was comfortable. We found it to be a great place to spend the night. The breakfast was adequate. We found a park that we walked in the morning that we left. We saw a little bit of the town. Seemed like a nice town.
This modest sized BW felt more like a nicely cared for inn than the usual BW experience. Quiet, clean, relaxed, and nice layout compared to the usual BW box and crush at breakfast. Staff was great and welcoming. Don't miss the fabulous fresh glazed donuts!
It was after 10pm when I arrived, and left by 8am the following morning. It was a good nights sleep without noises disturbing me. The fast check was nice, and appreciated the faster checkout - as they had the speedy checkout service.
Great hotel, the staff was excellent with all our family present and kids running around the staff was very patient and understanding. The rooms were great and clean and the breakfast was fantastic. The kids used the pool a lot and it was well maintained.
The room was very nice. Clean and comfortable with all the usual amenities. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The daytime desk clerk, Mary was extremely helpful and pleasant. Gas and convenience store next door was nice. Will make this my go to place in Nebraska City.
I have now stayed here twice in two years. I have enjoyed the experience so much that I am now going to be booking Best Westerns when ever possible on my other trips. This Best Western in Nebraska City is at the best location, just off the interstate, close to town and attractions. Great for families and singles.
So clean! My family traveled a little over 6000 miles in the last two weeks, and this was the cleanest place we stayed. We got to the hotel a little after 11 pm. The staff was great. Very helpful! They have free parking, free WIFI, and breakfast.
The Best Western Nebraska City is a very nice property that is recently been remodeled internally due to multiple prank phone calls to guest rooms that prompted guests to activate the sprinkler system. Rooms and the lobby have new furniture, fixtures, flooring, and decor. Regrettably, although this is a two story property, there is no elevator and one must ascend or descend stairs if housed on the second floor. Likewise, there is no ice or vending machines on the second floor. Another trip up and down the stairs ooi d required. The room phones were all disconnected but could be reconnected by the staff upon request and with a signed documents assuring the guest woukd not enabke the sprinkler system should another prank call get through. Neither the lack of an elevator nor the phone issue was described when we reserved a room several weeks ago. Highly unlikely we would have gone elsewhere had we known when making reservations but we WOULD have asked for a 1st floor room given my recent major surgery. Descent breakfast although no boiled eggs available and very high carb otherwise.
3 of us checked in on Saturday night and the place was booked full - almost. We apparently got the last room available. Lady at the front desk initially had some issues with the computer system but was accommodating, getting us a rollaway bed and splitting our bill 3 ways. The room, pool, and breakfast were all 5 star in my book. We had a subway and convenience store right there and a Taco Johns across the street other eateries are about a half mile away. The staff, especially the two ladies working in the morning were very friendly, accommodating, and customer oriented.
We always try to book here when traveling to Nebraska City. The rate is good, breakfast is super, and accommodations are comfortable. Front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. When we initially tried to book reservations, the hotel was full - but the staff worked with us and called us when a cancellation occurred so that we could book the room.
Wonderful place to stay, clean and fresh with a pleasant staff willing to go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable. Also, offers a terrific breakfast with an assortment of hot and cold items.
Great hotel. Convenient location. Helpful staff. Perfect for the purpose of my visit. Would recommend to anyone visiting Nebraska City. Suggest that the hotel provide maps of the area for out of state visitors.
We stayed two nights for a family reunion in Auburn. We had a very late check in at 5:30am but the desk clerk had breakfast ready and welcomed to eat. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. There is no elevator but just one flight of stairs was manageable. If we are ever back in the area we will definitely stay again.
Everyone was very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The entire facility was clean and well kept up. All questions answered promptly; they helped us navigate to the local attractions.
I was traveling through the area and needed a single night's stay. This place is right near the highway (noise wasn't a problem) and so it was easy to locate. Friendly staff, a clean room and quick breakfast. It was perfect.
The hotel was more than adequate. It was clean, had wifi, decent parking, and breakfast. I arrived at midnight and the lady had issues checking us in. No big deal other than she wasn't friendly at all and did not clue me in to what was happening. A smile and explanation of what is going on can go a long way. The rest of the stay was fine. I did appreciate that the fan for the a/c stayed on which is always a nice feature for noise.
Hotel was right on the freeway, so convenient for a cross country trip. Everything was clean and comfortable and newly remodeled. The hot breakfast was good. There was a nice indoor pool and hot tub. The beds were great and the bathroom supplies were adequate.
This hotel has been one of the best for service and overall experience. The staff are top of the line! Always taking extra time to make your stay more comfortable. Love the fresh baked cookies waiting in the lobby.
This hotel met and exceeded my typical expectations. The staff was awesome, from the moment we walked in, with the plate of cookies and smiles. One of my two boys commented they would like the front office worker to be one of their grandmother. The rooms was super clean, very comfortable bed (no morning back ache), and full breakfast. Of course, the boys loved the pool and hot tub, and thanks to the front office lady who provided a beach ball for them to play with. I visited the area to visit Peru State College, but my family wants to go back to experience another stay at the NE City Best western and explore the local wildlife.
room clean, décor good, and spacious, Personnel very friendly and accommodating. Plan on stahying here again in future outside appearance was good, very good breakfast. Pool was available but did not use it,due to time limitations on our part,
My son plays baseball at Peru State in Ne. We always stay at the Best Western in Neb City when we visit. Our stay has always been very satisfactory. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is great. This stay was very good as well. The only reason I won't go to 5 stars is because the wifi was in and out and except for the eggs the breakfast was very good.. Everything else was quite nice. And yes we will stay there again!!
Great friendly customer service:) , Clean and quiet easy access if in the area I will stay here again. I asked staff where to have dinner and they new the city well and sent me to great location with reasonable pricing.
Clean rooms, very nice choices for breakfast. Easy access off hwy 2. Our second stay here with similar good experiences. Lots of pillows with good wifi. The beds have been firm, which is uncomfortable for my shoulders.
This hotel was clean and the room was nice. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The neighborhood felt safe. The breakfast was average, but even as a gluten sensitive person I was able to eat well. I would stay there again.
This was a comfortable hotel. The room was spacious and had a refrigerator which is convenient. The employees were very helpful. This was the first time I saw a TV remote that they say they sanitize. I hope this spreads to other hotels as TV remotes have a bad reputation for cleanliness.
The staff was informed and more than helpful. The facility was clean and orderly and easy to utilize. I was comfortable for the whole stay. Breakfast was what I would have had at home and greatly appreciated along with the fridge in the room and microwave. The free Wi-Fi allowed me to stay in easy communication with modern items.
The room was fresh and spotless, without any trace of humidity or musty scent. The bed and pillow were comfortable. There were no used bedspreads - just a blanket inside soft nice sheets. The desk clerk was pleasant and helpful. I loved this motel and recommend it.
Glad I picked this hotel- great rates, service and breakfast provided. Sorry my stay wasn't longer so I could have used the pool and fitness center. I really appreciated the courtesy call to check on my arrival.
Great friendly and helpful service. Yummy cookies. Extremely clean room. Very comfortable bed. Good TV. Fast internet. Wonderful shower. Amazing complementary breakfast. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my friends and family.
We were pleased with our stay at the Nebraska City Best Western February 20-21, 2016. Clean, quiet, comfortable and affordable. I was particularly impressed with the speed of the free WiFi. About the only down side was the jacuzzi was out of order. But that didn't matter to us. We will definitely stay there again.
Overall our stay was fair, the hotel was wonderfully clean, the staff was super helpful. Unfortunately the hot tub was broke and the pool was fairly cold, but what are ya going do about that. Bad timing, but the kids were bummed. Overall it was a nice hotel, but all of us woke up with sore backs, just not used to their beds I'm sure.
Best Western Hotel & Resorts in Nebraska City Nebraska is a very nice and friendly hotel to stay at. The breakfast was great and the hot tub was relaxing and my kids loved the pool. The housekeeping was very nice and brought extra stuff whenever we needed it. I would really recommend this hotel to stay at when you are going through.
A very nice stay, would recommend to others. The breakfast was good, the cookies were good, the room was clean and tidy. The entrance was clean, the staff at the front desk was friendly and professional, they answered any questions i had. the check out process was easy. A fun time was had by all.
I was driving cross country, and needed an easy stop for the nigh with my mom. The hotel was just off of the State Rd and just a few miles from the interstate. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. The breakfast was exactly what we needed in the morning for another day of driving! The parking lot was well lit and I felt safe leaving my car FULL from my move out there.
I visit Peru, Ne at least 3 times a year during football season. I've stayed at almost all of the motels/ hotels in Auburn & Nebraska city, this is by far the best! It's clean, front desk staff is very friendly. Subway next door, Walmart within walking distance, I love this place! Restaurants wise, well..I recommend hickory bbq in auburn & el portal in auburn.
The staff is incredibly friendly, the hotel is clean and offers a nice breakfast for a great price. We had a large group staying for a wedding and received a discount on the pricing. We did not use the pool or fitness center but they are available.
Will stay again even though we had a little problem with heating system shutting off which interfered some with sleep. In spite of this our overall experience was better than other motels. The staff were the best.
We have in years past stayed at other hotels in the 5 miles area, but for an extra 10 bucks, we will only stay at the Best Western now. $10 buys you a lot at BW! service, smiles, pool and hot tub. This is a hotel where you are treated like a guest, and not a customer. Rooms are clean, and if you have a problem of any kind (only 1 small issue in years of visits for me) it is handled promptly and professionally.
I am a travel nurse and needed to find a hotel that would let me check in early since I work the night shift and need to sleep during the day. This hotel was nice enough to let me check in at 8 or 9 AM so I could sleep there during the day. Because of this they will have my business for the rest of my 8 week contract! Hotel common areas, room, and pool area are always clean. Breakfast is good and served from 5:30 to 10:30. Nice touch to have cookies at front desk every afternoon. Staff always friendly and helpful.
My daughter and I were travelling through on our way to Cheyenne. We checked in late. The receptionist was very kind, checked us in and directed us to our room very quickly. Turned out our room didn't have a refrigerator, so the receptionist was more than willing to place our small bag of food in their dining room frig. The next morning, upon learning that my daughter was gluten intolerant, a different receptionist was trying to find something to offer her for breakfast, even going so far as to offering to drive to the local market to buy her something. She was even going to switch us to another room with a frig if we were staying longer. I was so impressed with their friendliness and willingness to accommodate us and make our stay very nice. I will definitely stay there again!
Convenient location, pleasant staff, decent breakfast. Need to be sure they have ground floor rooms if you have disabled people as there is no elevator. Also, even though the furniture would accommodate it, no microwave or fridge (microwave available in dining area). Clean and nice, good pool, adequate workout area
This was a very clean and pleasant Best Western for the AAA price we paid. We had a handicap room and the bathroom was a nice size. Since we went into town for breakfast I'm unable to comment on the food. Definitely would recommend this location .
Everything was 1st class, very clean, great staff, Check in went well. Went to eat at local restaurant and returned to find a semi with mechanical reefer running parked in adjacent lot. Light sleepers be ware, all night long...
I am not a fan of Best Western properties, but I ended up at this one because of the geographic location and availability. Pleasant surprise; it sits atop a small hill several blocks from any busy highway. Leaving their parking lot, you go downhill to easy access onto a street that takes you directly to Hwy-75/business and then Hwy-2. It was a bargain for a great nights sleep.
We stayed here one night. Tiffany, at the front desk, was friendly and extremely helpful. She is an asset to this hotel!! She gave us information about the area and what to see the next morning (the apple orchards). She also spent time looking up another Best Western location for our next nights stay. It is not a Best Western Plus but we found the rooms were tastefully updated. Our room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was spotless as well. The shower had great water pressure and a working massage setting which was wonderful after driving all day! There is also an indoor pool and hot tub. All in all it was a very nice stay for a very reasonable price.
Because we would like to make a reservation when we go to Husker games. Room did seem a little "damp" But was very comfortable. Towels were a little thin. Staff was great, and the breakfast was pretty good. Sorry for the misleading title, but this hotel books up
I was recently traveling alone to a wedding and was unfamiliar w/the area. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful w/directions! She helped me arrive safely and gave me excellent directions to the church and the reception. My room was very nice, clean and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again. Thank you to all the staff at the Best Western. Deb Beck
NO POOL NO HOT TUB NO REDUCTION IN BILL! You have remove the refrigerator and microwave. I was surprised. I have stayed here and at other Best Western motels and enjoyed the stay. This was the first vacation, one night, that I have had in two years. I was very let down. I see that you have sold the your motel in Platte City, MO. I use it twice a year. I hope that it has not gone down also, now that it is under new owner.
We travel cross country each summer and always stay here. It happens to be half way between our destinations which is the first reason but other than that, it is clean, quiet, well priced and comfortable.
This hotel is nice, clean, friendly, great for the family. Small enough to feel safe. All the amenities we could ask for. Nice breakfast, workout room, pool, hot tub, and friendly staff that are helpful and go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable, taken care of and satisfied!!!
I always enjoy staying at this motel because of the service, cleanliness, and friendly employees. I will not stay at any other motel in the vicinity, as I have before as they cannot meet the overall great experience with the Best Western.
