Je m’inscris Beyond impressed with the service here! I hoped to have some flowers delivered to my wife, but no Florist was open on the weekend. The general manager heard my request, she then went and found a beautiful bouquet from the local grocery store. Absolutely unexpected! WOW! Thank you Jessica for going above and beyond.
Plumbing overflowed, exhaust fan not working, no phone, broken chair, front desk had no idea when mgr was supposed to arrive, could not take shower or use toilet. Charged twice for a pet fee. Manager tried to insult my intelligence by belittling me. No offer for any of my inconvenience. Toilet was never clean upon my arrival, which should have been my first clue. Housekeeping wouldn't or couldn't communicate with me about cleaning toilet. Front desk ignored and hid in back room upon my request to have toilet cleaned. The only reason for 1 star, was that the building was still standing.
The breakfast buffet was O.K. and got the job done. The eating area was clean at all times. It appears they do not have control of ownership of their parking lot which resulted in a car alarm constantly erupting one night, keeping us awake. We were advised it was not a patron and nothing they could do. I used to be an officer in that town and know otherwise. No issues the second night. It did seem a little pricey for the value and control.
Nice hotel. Stayed here on the final leg of the now-yearly road trip to MT and ID. Front desk people were very nice and courteous, knowledgeable about the area. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. I was too tired to use the pool / hot tub so I can't review anything regarding that. Lots of satellite TV channels including all Boise locals. Breakfast of eggs and sausage filled me up, frequently changed out and new stock added. Other choices include muffins/waffles/pastries/yogurt/juices AND a variety of hot coffee choices! The only negative was the pricing - even for one night it was well over $200 even with the member discount. I had stayed a few nights prior at another hotel in Sandpoint for less than $150 with very similar amenities. I get that McCall is a bustling tourist town and the inflation hits everyone, but it's pricier than I realized.
Overall the room was clean and the staff was friendly. However the room was very dark due to the flooring and paint. I had to turn on all of the lights.
This Best Western Plus motel was very nice. We hardly saw any staff but it was spotlessly clean. Lobby very comfortable...breakfast was just great...room exceptionally clean and nice.
Second time staying here, still very happy. We knew we would be in the McCall area, and without question this would be where we'd stay! Front desk staff is great, breakfast is good and plenty. Pool and spa are 24hr and they're really good. Great location to ski Brundage, Tamarack and the Little Ski Hill. We will always stay here when we visit McCall.
This McCall location is second to none. The breakfast is the best in town and the rooms are spotless. If you are looking at staying in this McCall location, this is the place. The pool and hot tub are always clean and well cared for as are all the rooms.
This is the second year my ski club has stayed at the Best Western Plus McCall for a ski trip, and it is perfect for our group. The lobby is huge, with several conversation areas, great for get togethers. They allow groups to bring in food to eat in the lobby. There was a nice TV to watch the Super Bowl, and we were able to bring in pizza. Our group enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and sauna. The breakfasts are some of the best hotel breakfasts, with something for everyone. New this year was a coffee machine that grinds coffee fresh and makes coffee drinks to order, and we all loved it! The rooms are large, clean, and very comfortable. Note that if you are a light sleeper during winter storms on the back side of the hotel a snow plow will be plowing the school driveways in the middle of the night, with lights and beeping noises. If this bothers you, you might want to ask for a room on the entry side of the hotel.
My husband and I thought this was a great hotel to sneak away to for the weekend. The spa and pool were generous in size, they have a great sauna, a good hot breakfast, a comfy bed and they are located close to all the things to do in McCall!
Great place to stay. Would reccomend to anyone needed a cool place to stay. Pool open 24 hrs. The breakfast was awesome, the room was clean and there was plenty of room to park our giant gooseneck trailer.
The clerk was extremely polite, the room was very clean, the breakfast was fresh & hot, the hotel lobby was warm and inviting, everything in the room was in working order. I will be staying here again on my next visit to McCall Id.
This is a lovely BW property. Fairly new and welcoming with a warm mountain lobby and the breakfast is exceptional. We are BW fans and this one stands out. Our king room was more than enough and very enjoyable. Can't wait to return.
Was up in McCall for some business appts, had to drive by the property on the way to my next appointment. I walked in at 2:30pm and asked if I could check in early, Ray the front desk guy said check in was at 4 and to early. Never had that happen but that is the rule. Long story short I arrived back at the hotel and walked up to desk at 3:56 pm and there was Ray playing guard with the 4pm check in time. He actually said it's not 4 yet and would have to wait. I couldn't not believe that those 4 minutes were crucial to get all the rooms done. I will never stay there or use any points at that property. Maybe the GM can train Ray on customer service but she was in background giving directions. Room was clean and comfortable bed.
I love the lodge style. I come to McCall to enjoy the outdoors and the decor is so fitting. The fireplace was so inviting as we walked in. The beautiful moose antler chandelier. The staff are really nice and friendly. The jacuzzi room was a fun way to celebrate our 22nd Anniversary. The breakfast was delicious with made to order ommlettes or burritos. We had a great time exploring Ponderosa state park. We will definitely be back!
We went for 4 nights. We thought the rooms would be like the Best Western that we stayed at in Hood River, Oregon, last year. It was not. We were so disappointed and after the first night we wanted to try another hotel but it would have cost us to leave on short notice. The room was small for two queen beds, website can be deceiving. No chairs to sit on except the desk chair, no table to eat at if you wanted. It was a strange set up to us. Even in a studio room we've always had chairs to sit on and a small table to eat on. We didn't think these were cheap rooms that we got but now we think this was just an expensive place with outdated rooms. The pool and jacuzzi were nice.
Been there for one night passing trough. Very nice staff, clean rooms, good breakfast and perfect wifi service. Gym and pool also present and well mainteined. Coming again in Mc Call we'll certainly staying there again.
This is not at all a $350 hotel room. We had to do a last minute booking( due to extenuating circumstances) and had a dog. The hotel was almost $100 more than the others in town for the same night, plus the dog fee, and after all was done, we paid $445 for one night. Rooms are very average and the view was a storage unit block and a lumber yard on a the main highway. It was in no way worth $445 for one night . It was by far the most expensive hotel of a weeklong trip in Idaho, almost double our others, also in resort areas. The breakfast was good but that did not make up for our disappointment. And we did have to fix the toilet numerous times. Not a good experience.
We stayed in a pet friendly room and my dog couldn't even walk on the floors because they were too slippery. There was something growing where the bathtub meets the tile floor. The air filters in the air conditioning unit we're disgusting. The phone wasn't connected so you had to walk to the front desk if you needed anything. The pool and hot tub water was questionable. Internet was slow. Stains on the bedspread comforter and towel. This is a hard pass and would recommend looking elsewhere.
This place was gross and not worth what we paid for. Our room smelled like pee. We asked to move rooms and told nothing was available. We gagged our way through that night. The pool was gross with film and bandaids in the water. The shower and bathroom were out of order. The hot tub was looked gross. Our room had mold in the bathroom along the shower, which didn't drain properly. When we complained again the next day we were moved to another room and told it was used the night before. What the heck! I would never recommend this place nor stay here again. What a total rip off. The pictures online did not represent the room we had.
This is a great hotel with a very good breakfast. Easy parking and close to town but far enough away to be quiet. The rooms are modern and clean. The staff is friendly and the management is very supportive. I recommend this hotel for your stay. I will be back.
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and accommodating! Jessica was extremely informative and helpful! The breakfast was great, along with you typical continental options they also made omlets and eggs to your liking! While the spa was down the pool was great as it was heated to nearly to spa temps! Would recommend this location for any stay in McCall!
Our first time in McCall, this hotel added to our winter mountain experience. Tastefully decorated, very clean, inviting overstuffed chairs with fireplace in the lobby. Our hot breakfast was full of options and very tasty. Even had a gentleman making custom omelettes for the guests. Room was spacious and quiet. We had a great experience and will stay here again when in McCall.
This was the biggest disappointment of my LIFE!!!!!!! I paid almost $400 for ONE NIGHT at one of the most GHETTO rooms I have ever been in. I was promised the honeymoon suite, with a fire place, and hot tub and large king size bed, the pictures online DO NOT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE ROOM. The hot tub was a jetted tub in the bedroom, that was held together by duct tape, The lack of air flow in the room had mold on the wall about the bathtub in the bedroom and the header in the ceiling was cracking and dropping paint. The room had ZERO lighting in it, it was musty, and smelled horrible, the TV didn't work when we got there, took over 2 hours to get someone from the desk to help. No one WAS EVER AT THE DESK. The bed smelled like musty old bedding. The walls are very thin, and every sound was heard, there was a super loud couple in the room next door that kept us up a lot of the night, tried calling the front desk, SUPRISE, no one ever answered. The breakfast was supposed to be from 6:30 - 10:30, got down there at 8:30 they were completely out of over half of the breakfast, the hashbrowns were mixed with 2 different type of potatoes, smashed, burnt and awful tasting. They were supposed to take a card upon arrival for payment, and not use the card that I used to reserve the room, no one was at the desk to take care of that, or even check us out. We almost got in our truck and drove home the same night of arrival. This was the worst experience ever, and we will NEVER stay at a Best Western AGAIN!!!!
We were greeted immediately, the staff was very friendly, and professional, the rooms were very cleanand check in was quick and easy. Lisa went above and beyond, we asked Her For a snow brush, the one at the front desk was broken so she went to her car and lent us hers
We loved the doggie gift bag that was given to us at check in that included a tennis ball, dog treats and poop bags. Thank you for accommodating our fur baby! Our only complaint was that there was no entry rug in our room. Since we had a dog with us we made several trips outside to go potty and every time we came back inside we would track in some snow on our boots. I had to ask the front desk for extra towels so there wasn't a constant puddle by our front door from our shoes. Other than that the room was clean and our stay was wonderful, thank you.
Don't stay here. Has fallen way downhill in recent years. They will try to charge you an early check in fee. The room will be dirty. The pool and hot tub will be too cold to enjoy. The breakfast is crap. The hotel is away from all the action compared to every other place to stay. They will not accommodate any changes to your reservation. Don't support this place.
Pros- Free cookies on arrival Good selection of teas Friendly staff when available Breakfast allows for to go boxes and drink containers Comfortable couches in lobby Cons- Grime on room door Hot water in bathroom sink didn't work We booked a full suite online that had a divider and separate room, that is NOT what we got. Black moldy sludge in hot tub, and the tile was slimy when we first got in. There were chunks of mystery floaters in the water that looked like cheese. Black mold on ceiling, dark and dingy and creepy. The staff was friendly. In their downtime, you can overhear them talking about Yellowstone. In the downtime I'd suggest taking pride in the property and monitoring cleanliness. We've stayed here before and each time it seems worse. We will book elsewhere next time.
It was a great stay with excellent amenities. The manager was especially helpful with some personal health issues. The pool and jacuzzi were not busy. The create your own omelet and burrito were awesome. The shower in the suite had room to move.
Came to town for short weekend and got charged $345 per room for 2 rooms. AC didn't work in my room and it was a oven. They gave me $20 credit. Last time I ever stay with them if they don't follow up and at least act like they care about seeing what they can do to make it up or appreciate customers
I recommend the Best Western in McCall ID. Not all BW are the same, this one is one of the best, friendly staff, always willing to help, clean comfort and amenities. I I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is passions through, it is worth the stop
This is a typical Best Western, nothing great or overly bad. The pictures on line are much better than in person. The breakfast is fine but again nothing special. Our room AC did work but not properly our bathroom tub drained painfully slow and the exhaust fan did not operate. We stayed there because it was pet friendly. The staff was very nice.
Two nights in McCall, Idaho and it was a fantastic visit. Proud to say that I'm a loyal fan of the PLUS Best Westerns and will use them again on my next trip. I like the McCall area a lot and will certainly visit again. We had dinner at lovely place on the waterfront.
The room was really clean and the chair and ottoman were a great addition. It's good to have a place to sit besides the bed. The hotel was very quiet and the bed was super comfortable. We would stay here again.
I can't say enough nice things about our stay here! This hotel is amazing. The staff is very friendly! Smiling faces and helpful. The rooms are very clean and nice, and the inside of the hotel is beautiful. The breakfast is amazing! There is an actual chef that will cook you a breakfast burrito or an omelette. I chose the omelette and it was delicious. The pool and hot tub are very nice and open 24/7! Highly recommend this hotel and I am looking forward to my next stay!
I wasn't going to write a review; I know it won't do any good. Best Western just doesn't care, and that is usually (not always) the case of the individual properties, as well. I can't let this go, though, and I have no other way of writing them. I arrived at the hotel to check in, and was told they canceled my reservation because the system flagged it as fraud. I'm guessing my card number had changed since I made the reservation almost three months ago. I was told they called me about it, which is likely true, but I don't answer calls from random numbers. They did not, however, leave a message. I had to fight to get my original reservation restored; she wanted to charge me their current full price (the hotel was clearly far from full). I have never had a hotel run a card randomly before arrival - it's always at time of reservation and time of check-in. So do I need to worry that every Best Western reservation I have could just be canceled and I won't have a room? If you're going to cancel someone's reservation, you really need to be leaving a voice mail, and you should also be emailing before you do it to make sure you do everything you can before you cancel it. Or, here's an idea, don't continue this horrible practice. I received an "upgrade" into a suite with jacuzzi. The jacuzzi was too gross for me to use, so it was just a bigger room that looked out over some kind of storage next door. It wasn't an upgrade. The internet was so bad, I actually tethered to my phone instead - I've never had to do that before. I'm writing this review from a hotel in the literal middle of nowhere, and the internet is far superior. Then, as I was getting up to shower, someone from their staff knocked on my door twice. It was before checkout, and I had the do not disturb sign up. I asked him how I could help him, and he just walked away. The washcloths were stained; I had to go through a few to get one that was acceptable. The bathroom fan didn't work. Overall, though, it wasn't too bad of a property. It could use some help, obviously, but the real problem is the "customer service." At checkout, I was asked how everything was. I responded that it was pretty bad, and told him about my reservation being canceled and someone knocking on my door. He was not ready for a negative response to that question; don't ask if you aren't prepared for every answer. He just got defensive, and tried to find out why my reservation was canceled (I didn't ask). I responded to the survey Best Western sends out, and got a response almost immediately that included their canned language and "I am surprised to read your review. On your reservation the credit card you had on file kept coming back said fraudulent. We called you and left you a message to call us with a new credit card. The system cancelled your reservation since it was fraudulent. When you came to check in Sunday, I talked with you about this. You showed me the rate you were given and I adjusted the reservation. Then you being an Elite Best Western Member you were given a free upgrade to a nice suite. I am sorry that all this kindness was not up to par with you." This is the equivalent of "bless your heart," and it shows a complete lack of understanding or caring. I didn't even put anything about it in the survey because they're usually ignored, so she's just getting defensive about something without knowing everything else that was garbage about this hotel. Blaming it on "the system," and responding that you had kindness is not the way to be understanding of your guest that had a bad night in your hotel. Maybe actually try to fix things. I tried responding to her, but of course they use a no-reply email address, so they can write you, but you can't write them. I could call her, but they don't deserve it. Best Western service has always been some of the worst in the business, but I kept going there because the hotels were reasonable and usually nice enough. They aren't anymore, and I honestly don't think I'll be staying at any of them any more.
We unfortunately were unable to attend our son's graduation in McCall due to COVID in our family. Something sudden that did not meet the 7 day cancellation window. We we tried to call and cancel the reservation 2 days ahead the suddenly the hotel put through a charge through a day and a half ahead of our planned arrival. Interesting how that happened…but not surprising based on their lack of compassion for our situation. Book at your own risk.
The sheets had not been changed out on my bed, it was VERY obvious. I have a knee injury which was exacerbated from driving and I was so exhausted after being on the road all day and night I just sucked it up and slept in full clothes with a hoodie on over my head so I didn't touch anything. And while I understand I stayed in a pet friendly room, it smelled of urine. I truly had one of the worst nights sleep. Also, I was looking forward to a nice, hot shower. The shower itself felt amazing, until I was standing in 5 inches of water.
Super clean room! We were great for a last min get away from the valley and treat d to an upgrade for being reward members who travel a lot and are brand loyal. The jacuzzi was wonderful with one draw back being the 15 min timer that is not near the tub. Kind of a mood killer. All was good. The hotel has been updated but the beds are very firm. It was very quiet and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay!
Excellent. Great to be able to order fresh omelet or burrito in the morning and the rest of the food was also delicious and fresh. Very safe and clean environment. Man cooking was constantly cleaning or restocking when he wasn't cooking. Hotel staff and maid service excellent as well.
Paid way too much for what we received. AC Unit was loud & rattled annoyingly every time the compressor kicked in. The bed wasn't comfortable, flat pillows, decor & furniture less than mediocre. Were told we were getting a honeymoon suite. Awful.
Due to illness, cancellation was necessary. There is a 7-day cancellation policy -- NO refund and NO credit without a 7-day notice. This policy is basically useless because who would know when illness, accident or family emergency could happen? And who buys travel insurance for a motel room? Sheesh! Beautiful facility but there will be no business from me in the future. Sad that customers are treated this way.
The staff is fantastic! The manager made our stay a wonderful experience. She is not only efficient, but she is warm and welcoming. The young man working the breakfast area had one of the most positive attitudes I have ever seen in a young person. He was not only a hard worker, but so kind and helpful to everyone coming in to the breakfast area.
Great value for couples/family/pets! Treat bags for doggies, great value at breakfast, clean and quiet room. And a clean and fun pool with a giant hot tub. A great value for the price point. Close to town. Our new go-to place to stay in McCall.
The staff and the hotel was amazing. The breakfast, with the create your own omelet, was outstanding. We stayed in the jacuzzi suite and it was clean and well taken care of. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will certainly be back.
Lovely hotel with great breakfast. Decor is nicer than typical Best Westerns. Convenient location. Pool and hot tub available. You can even bring the pup. Staff were helpful and friendly. Lobby and sitting areas good for hanging out.
McCall Lodge best western is one of the best in McCall ID, always pleasant staff and comfortable rooms, When I have their free Breakfast it is always fresh and tasty. I use them a lot and will continue.
This was our 2nd annual birthday trip to McCall for my wife and we once again stayed at the Best Western rather than the overpriced local lodges, Once again the facility was excellent as was the service. We'll be back next year, same place, same time.
My wife and I spent 2 nights at the BW+ McCall. We were disappointed in their "enhanced" cleaning proceedures. Upon entry to our room there was loose change and a used fork on the floor beneath the desk area. Additionally we were not told that there would be no room service due to Covid althoug we did notice a sign in the lobby at check out. Having traveled all over Idaho for 2 weeks, the situation seemed to vary from city to city and county to county. It would be best to spell out exactly what the hotel policies are in your location to all arriving guests. Beyond that the bed was comfortable and breakfast was good.
Very friendly and comfortable stay. Great doggie bag for my pup and area for them to play. Breakfast was yummy and great coffee. Located close to lake and downtown area and staff very helpful. Room comfortable and very clean.
At checkin we wearing a covid mask - the desk staff - Jessica - informed us that masks were not necessary as there WAS NO COVID in McCall nor Idaho in general - and that all the media reports, including the state health department, of Idaho hospitals rationing Covid care due to exploding Covid cases was false. The hospitals were just trying to pressure their staff. Her "sources" were downstate nurses. We were exceedingly uncomfortable, felt she was totally out of line and left wondering how adequate was the McCall Best Western doing in Covid protections in the rooms and common areas. Based on this experience we will never stay there again nor could ever recommend this Best Western anyone.
Brought our dog for a weekend exploring lakes and hot springs around McCall and hotel was conveniently located near grocery store and had large pet area. Rooms are quiet and have very comfortable beds
This hotel is just a little farther out from downtown McCall than a number of other motels. That makes it slightly less convenient if you want to walk to the waterfront or one of the many restaurants. Nonetheless, we were very pleased with how clean and comfortable it was. Check-in was efficient and friendly, and the rooms were well kept, clean, comfortable, and properly stocked with the usual motel supplies such as soap, etc. They have a breakfast that comes with the price of the room and it was OK. Certainly nothing to write home about, but adequate if you need a quick meal before moving on. It's a good place if you just need a place to sleep while traveling through or if you need a base spot for local activities. We stayed before and after a 5-day rafting trip and it was perfect for that.
We stayed at a Best Western on the way to our first PCS and the discount for the quality of room had us sold. We booked Best Westerns and made a rewards account for the rest of the trip. Each one seemed nicer than the last and every front desk worker was kind and professional.
We paid to upgrade to a room with a hot tub. We had a great day and evening in McCall. While to hotel is a little further from town than we liked, there was plenty of parking after a short drive. The room was beautiful with a king bed and large bathroom. Before going to bed, we decided to relax in the hot tub. Sadly it turned out that none of the jets worked. Pressed all the buttons on the wall and tub but no luck. It was late so we didn't want any repairs that night and since we were staying another night we talked to the front desk in the morning. They said that would look at it. Sadly, it was never fixed - I don't think they ever went in the room to fix it. When we checked out, I was told that only the manager could provide a discount for the upgraded room. Sadly once again did not hear anything.
We stayed here in 2019 and found the hotel very nice and comfortable. Enjoyed! Then we went back this year in July and found a few misgivings. Had a corner room on the third floor which was clean and comfortable. However, the ice bucket still had water in it from the last person, but a clean plastic bag laid over it. The bulb in the floor lamp was hanging out. There was no laundry bags in the closet, we had to ask for some at the front desk. The beverage machine had no amount on how much they were. Skip the breakfast delivery to your door. It was horrible, no matter what we ordered. Yogurt warm, juice, warm, fruit in a cup, warm, burritos, hard than a rock. Horrible tasting! Ridley market across from the hotel had better food for breakfast. Would go back, but after Covid rules are lifted in the hospitality world!
My family enjoyed our two nights at the McCall Lodge. We were on the second floor and had two quiet nights. I wish the breakfast area was open for eating when we were there, but they did deliver a great selection of items (including hot items) to our room. The pool was great! The one negative is that housekeeping doesn't come to your room every day. I had to go ask for more shampoo, soap, conditioner and coffee. Would definitely stay here again if we ever return to McCall.
The Best Western in McCall is a great hotel. My friend and I stayed one night. It was perfect. It had a hot tub, a pool, free/easy parking, and a complimentary breakfast. Check in was simple and so was checking out. While I didn't have any children with me there were children in the pool and they seemed pretty happy. We did a couple of hikes one at Ponderosa Park and the other was Goose Creek Falls and they were both easy drives. Overall a good choice for a good price.
This hotel is about 2 miles from the city center which requires you to drive to most restaurants. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a corner room which looked out over the UPS distribution center and some mini warehouses from one window and the parking lot and a lumber yard from the other window. I would skip the room delivered breakfast.
We did not get the room we arranged for and paid for and they would not make it right, however the hotel is very dog friendly and great heated pool and hot tub. The beds are on the softer side, but plenty of pillows that were very fluffy! They brought our pre-ordered breakfast right to our door every morning, which was nice!
It was so bad we left a day early even though Beat Western said they would not refund us for the unused night. Leaches! They will take your money while they close the fitness room and the free breakfast, and if you have a complaint they will pretend to care but the manager will not help.
Great place to stay for the weekend in McCall. The hotel was great. Manager Jessica Price was very friendly and professional. Due to COVID, the continental breakfast was not an option, so breakfast was brought straight to our door! All you can eat, all name-brand food. Delicious! The hotel was clean and our room smelled very clean when we walked in (always a good sign)! Bed was comfy. If you want a nice weekend stay, Best Western is the spot!
First of all, unvaccinated people should be aware that many staff do not wear masks. View from room was of a board fence about 6' away, and breakfast "burritos" were very doughy with very little filling. Not quite up to BW Plus standards
Friendly, professional manager and staff. Clean, safe, comfortable, great location! There's a pool, a hot tub and lots of little extras. ADA friendly, very accessible with spacious rooms. This hotel delivers more than expected! Pet and service dog friendly with grassy area.
Last time we took a trip to McCall we stayed in the fancy hotel that overlooks the lake. They claim they are dog friendly but they're not. You can't get a lake view or jacuzzi room if you have a dog. This time we decided to stay at the Best Western. Great about Best Western: -They are very pet friendly and even give your dogs a goodie bag when you arrive. -Nice grassy area for your dogs to do their business. -Very friendly staff on the phone and in person. At first we didn't get the room we wanted but a staff member called us back a few days later to let us know he spoke to his manager and was able to get a room we requested! -Great breakfast. Due to Covid they give you a menu check sheet . You select all the items you want, what's time you want to eat breakfast, turn it into the front desk and they deliver your breakfast the next morning to your room. Our orders were correct both days. The breakfast burritos were tasty! -Very clean room. -We were on the first floor but it was still a very quiet area. -Jacuzzi tub was great. I used it both nights! It even has a nice fan above it to keep the humidity down in the room. -Comfortable king bed -Nice fireplace Suggestions: -The exhaust fan does not work in the bathroom if it does it's super quiet. -Towels, hand clothes, wash clothes are pretty rough feeling. If you like your towels soft bring your own. -Flat sheet on the bed was kind of rough. It has a waffle print on it that doesn't make it soft like the fitted sheet. Overall we will return again simply because their staff was very friendly/helpful on the phone and in person. It's a quiet, clean hotel and they are very dog friendly.
The room was so nice and clean. Every amenity works. A extra special time for us in a beautiful setting. We have stayed in this Best Western before. That is why we went back. It is a great place to stay. We enjoyed our time, again, just like before.
This was a beautiful hotel (especially with the snow). We had fabulous service and our room was very nice. Enjoyed the hot tub. They were very accommodating to our dog, Harley. She was quite comfortable as well.
Unfortunately my rooms were cancelled by Booking.com so when i arrived to the hotel I was left with what they had left. $300 per night for a King room seems a little overboard. There were 4 of us so $600 later we have ONE night paid for. They did find another double room for us the second night that was $180. However, the price was crazy. After we switched rooms the second day we discovered that my son had left his expensive headphones in his room. When we asked the front desk they were at a loss. So how do headphones just vanish? We had ordered breakfast to be delivered at 7:30 and shortly after 8:00 I called to ask about it and the headphones. Breakfast never showed up and still have never heard from them about the headphones. Disappointing to say the least. Will never use Booking.com again or stay at the Best Western in McCall. Add to the top of everything the snow equipment running all night long in the parking lot added to never sleeping.
On pre check in they gave us the option to upgrade for a fee, I took it. Only to be told when we got there that there were no other rooms available. So my question is why offer the upgrade if there is no upgrade to be given? Only given breakfast one day of our stay instead of the two we stayed there.
Our stay was the first stop on our trip that was in a public space and due to covid we were very leery of a hotel. On our arrival everything looked great to the eyer but upon further inspection we found several alarming dirty spaces in private and public spaces. In our room, there was a dish that had fallen behind the entertainment center and was covered in mold. We put that in the hall to get it out of our room. And my husband had to work so he had to go to the lobby to use a space big enough for him and to not disturb those in our room early in the morning. There he found several tables that had not been cleaned in what looked like atleast a day or two. And since he had to work for a couple mornings and things didn't improve, those surfaces were never cleaned along with other public tables that we walked by each day morning and night. Not to our standards of clean and we will not be staying at this location again. There are no sideways to town either in the snow so we had to drive. The lack of cleaning made it a terrible value and we were so disappointed. Our friend with us is a Nurse and she said that several violations were not being met, with or without their knowledge.
Arriving, we booked two rooms and promised adjoining rooms. After having dinner we returned to settle in, only to find out that the rooms didn't have a joining door. We went to JJ at the front desk and voiced our concern only to be met with complete apathy. Nothing done to resolve issue and JJ really didn't seem to care. Id never stay here again.
After checking out and getting almost home, our 10 year old noticed he didn't have his phone. I called and spoke with Jennifer and she told me they would look for it. They did indeed find it (thank goodness!) and mailed it back to us. Not all staff would spend the time to do this, we are very thankful and will definitely stay here again.
We take an annual trip to McCall. We lStaying at this hotel the staff is so friendly and very helpful. We love the location for snowmobiling because you're a short drive away from various snow parks. Restaurants are close by some even walkable.
Very nice property, but no enforcement of mask protocol. Front desk person was not wearing a mask, and multiple people in the lobby eating pizza/takeout not wearing masks. Breakfast was excellent, but you have to wait in the lobby for them to prepare your order, and nobody else in line is wearing a mask. Rooms are typical for Best Western Plus, but lighting seemed worse than usual.
Staff not wearing masks. Most visitors not masked. Take out breakfast good. Room smelled of cleaning products and stale food smell. Bed comfy. Water tastes good. Great shower pressure, small standard tub. Flat screen TV old with crap sound. Considering many guests stay here to ski, maybe put up some ski wear friendly hooks in the rooms.
1st off - HOW Beautiful your place looks throughout the whole property!! Great Job on your decor and cozy warmth! All of your team was really exceptional. I will rave about your location and complete friendliness, cleanliness, and excellence. We were grateful to meet Jessica Points (your G.Mgr) - Jessica was absolutely great to us! She made our stay a true 10, because of her attentiveness to our needs, helpful & informative, and totally friendly. I totally loved your Christmas look/scenery in the front lobby - Bravo!! 7 Christmas trees, thank you, thank you. Stunning decorations and overall warmth there. as spoken from a true traveller and pro in the service industry. P.S. > Fantastic comfortable bed and pillows !! Keep doing that! Wow - absolutely comfy.
Reserved a room at the last minute and then had to change the reservation due to inclement weather that moved. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us during our night at the hotel and early departure to catch a flight with McCall Aviation.
Everything was great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice breakfast considering Covid. Hotel gave us a form the night before to order our grab and go breakfast for the next morning. The next morning it was ready the time we specified. It worked out great.
2nd time we have stayed here and it does not disappoint. Checking in was a breeze and the gal that checked us in, is amazing (wish I could remember her name) she has a great personallity very friendly and helpful. She works the day shift. Rooms are very clean, beds comfy bathrooms clean. Would stay here again..
This is our third Best Western (and seventh motel) in a week, and is the only one without overt, visible Covid-19 measures. No "Mask Required" signs on the entry doors although in every other public business we went into in town. The front desk staff were friendly and professional behind plexiglas as other Best Westerns but staff were not wearing masks. No seals on room doors as in other Best Westerns leaving us wondering about other sanitization measures. Everything else about the stay here was fine.
I always stay at this Best Western on my business trips. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and fresh, not to mention quiet. Beds are super comfy and cozy. I especially liked the choose your breakfast & time option they offered during the pandemic.
I understand everyone's experience is unique when it comes to hotels/motels but based on everyone's 5-star reviews I was expecting more. The reviews stated “great location” and it is NOT. It's at the entrance to town and quite a distance away from where you want to be when visiting McCall's. This was our first time there and we really should have researched it a bit more. We also chose this place because they are pet friendly- which I always appreciate. The location however is awful. The rooms are not carpeted. It's sheet vinyl and NOT comfortable. This wasn't a surprise though because it's on the pictures. I guess it's easier to clean. Also, they seemed to put all the dog people in the same area. There were chuffs and barks all night. The vent didn't work and it's a small room. The night desk agent said “it's just a silent vent”. Give me a break. No vent it THIS silent- not even in 5-star hotels! Our microwave didn't work. Once again desk agent stated it was because we weren't using it right and we had to press the switch on the outlet. We tried to explain that it wasn't electrical- the microwave was ON but just not heating! The check in process... well expect to wait until 3. The only positive thing is the day manager- Jessica. She was friendly and informative. There's also a grocery store across the street. All in all, it was way overpriced for the stay but I guess that has to do with location. If returning to Area we will most likely stay elsewhere. As a reminder, please keep your fur babies on leash and pick up after them!!! Give dog-friendly hotels a reason to stay that way!!
The accommodations for this facility is very nice and worth consideration as long as you do not call direct and speak with the manager, Jessica. I called her on June 5th to discuss booking 6 rooms, one needed to be handicap accessible. The on-line rate was $140. She assured me that she would match the rates for Aug 2 & 3rd. We discussed the number of people for each room and I gave her both my CC to hold the reservation and confirmed my email address. I made careful notes of our conversation. Upon check-in, I was surprised when Jessica quoted a nightly charge $18 higher plus tax. I reviewed our phone call details and she stated “Oh! I would never give you that cost.” Jessica was the same voice I spoke with on the phone. Then she claimed to have sent me an email confirmation. When I informed her that she never sent a confirmation, she offered to forward it to me. She sent it to the wrong email. I asked her to send it to my correct email after I reviewed my email address once again. Once again, no email confirmation. Jessica.s credibility is less than honorable. I would not be surprised if this is the same experience with other visitors. There are other beautiful accommodations in McCall and will look at other options.
Nice and clean room. Loved that pool, sauna, and jacuzzi were open 24 hours. Multiple breakfast choices (burritos, yogurt, fruit, juices/coffee). With COVID, breakfast buffet was not an option. Instead, we placed our order and breakfast could be picked up in the morning. We had family staying at RV park at Ponderosa State Park. Quick drive to the hotel.
The staff is great, nice, friendly and accomodating. Considering it is pet friendly the grounds were kept nice and clean. There was a laundry room with 1 washer and 1 dryer close to our rooms. I was glad it was there. The dryer didnt dry that well on some things but it was easy to hang dry what few heavy things (mostly jeans) that didn't get all the way dry. I appreciated the grab and go, made to specific order requests, breakfasts. The only down side was the pool area. It was so hot, stuffy and not well ventilated that my husband and I could not stand it for long. I even propped up the back door but still it gave little relief. The rooms could have been cleaned a little bit better. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and recommend it based on the staff. We would stay there again.
While they're pet-friendly area is very nice and their staff is very nice, their rooms are only somewhat clean (there was bits of stuff on the floor under the end tables and in the corners when we moved in, which worried me during COVID and made me wonder what else wasn't clean). Their breakfast is horrible and the refrigerator door in our room wouldn't stay closed, so everything spoiled and the hair dryer wouldn't dry my hair. Two little containers of conditioner and no body wash. Don't really know why this is a Best Western Plus. I have a restricted diet, so I couldn't eat their carb-loaded diet for breakfast, which is reconstituted breakfast sandwiches and pastries. I needed protein like eggs and bacon on my grain-free and allergy-free diet. I asked for fruit and got a green banana and a lime-green orange, neither of which I could eat because they were so bad. We gave up and ate at the Pancake House the next morning, but for what you pay for the rooms (almost $600 for two nights including a myriad of taxes), they could do better. Also charged us $30/night for our 14-pound poodle who is hypo-allergenic and doesn't shed. Seemed excessive, compared to fully coated and shedding 100-pound or more dogs that were also there.
We stayed at the best Western plus in McCall, on June 13th, 2020. Finances were tight, and we decided just to go up for the night. It was our 24th wedding anniversary and we had booked a room with two queens. Being Elite members, Jessica, who checked us in, made us feel very welcome. She upgraded our two queen beds, to the grand suite. She had no idea it was our 24th wedding anniversary, much less, that I had booked two queens, just to save $10.00! The room was beautiful! It had big windows, that looked west, so we could see the beautiful mountains and sunset. The room was so comfortable, with a large king bed, wonderful huge Jacuzzi tub, and a fireplace! It had a very nice chair to sit in, along with a desk, The bathroom, had two separate areas in it, which made two people getting ready at the same time, very easy. The room was very clean, the water was very hot and relaxing. The fireplace was lovely, along with the big Jacuzzi tub, that made our 24th anniversary, a very special one!! We ended up taking the breakfast the next day. I really enjoyed the Keurig and the refrigerator in the room. We took the breakfast the next morning. It was very good and hot. The coffee and hot chocolate, were the perfect temperature. We felt, that the best western took very good care of us, during these Covid times. We felt safe and secure and it's been 2 1/2 weeks. We both have stayed very happy and healthy since our visit. I would like to thank Jessica, for the wonderful night she gave us, and for BestWestern, for keeping us safe from Covid 19! We fell in love with the room and we will definitely be back!! Thank you!
Rooms were ok but nothing fancy. I would probably not rate this Best Western as a Plus. They are still trying to figure out the COVID breakfast thing and are far from being efficient and the options aren't great if you stay for multiple nights. The outlets didn't work in our rooms to it was hard to charge anything.
A wonderful hotel and very clean. The staff are quite friendly and ensure that your stay is comfortable. Because of Covid 19 we were offered and received a "To Go" Breakfast which was ready when we needed and quite appetizing. The breakfast sandwich was was warm and delicious. Our room was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Overall, a fantastic stay. THANK YOU!
The check in clerk was not very informative, as far as a sign up sheet for breakfast, and talked like she was reading a script. Motel was clean but the clerks are not very friendly. I felt like I was a burden on her, during my check in.
This motel is a class a motel with all of the nicest amenities for a small country resort town pool and hot tub were clean and warm the staff are excellent amd very helpful. I stay here every year on business and would not look elsewhere excep during high season when the rates change upward. I hav stayed yere maybe close to 100 hudnred times over the years. Bill Proctor
Booked this hotel for 2 nights. It was way overpriced but it had a hot tub, which was necessary after each day of skiing. Come to find out, the hot tub was broke and had been broken at least a month! After much complaining, we were finally given a discount. Were told it'd be an 8% discount (a joke in itself) but the discount ended up being only 5%! This hotel lacks common decency, is overpriced and the GM is a liar. They only want your hard earned money. Once they have that, they do not care about making sure you are satisfied with your stay, in ANY way.
For the price I'm not sure I would stay here again. Do not trust what one staff member says. Because the next time you call you'll likely get a different response about your questions. Unwilling to work with us at all about needing an early check in and/or place to change our clothes prior to the wedding we traveled to. Our room was next to the ice machine and we could hear it and hear people using it all night. Hotel was fine. Breakfast was exceptional.
We have stayed in several of the other motels in McCall. We decided to try them out. The room was comfortable. The first evening they had cookies at the front desk. But not the second night. The person who checked us in was friendly and attentive. There breakfast is awesome in the morning. They have made to order omlete. They were delicious. The pool area is nice. We enjoyed soaking in the hot tub and swimming. It is conveniently located. And they have parking for trailers.
We travel with our dog and they were very accomadating and kind to our pets. Even in 5 ft snow drifts there were plenty of dog disposal stations. Room was clean and comfortable and a great location for a pet. Jesica the manager was very helpful and friendly. I was disgusted with myself for not bringing a bathing suit, they have a beautiful indoor pool and hot tub. A nice gym and they served a fabulous breakfast.
We have always enjoyed our stays at this location. It's the best priced, quality hotel in McCall. The staff is always great and the breakfast is very good. Only problem on this visit was the sauna was not working.
This hotel is gorgeous, clean and the staff are outstanding! It was also great to sit in the hot tub while watching it snow outside. The rooms are very modern and attractive, the fireplace was my favorite part!
Hotel was very convenient to downtown and other areas. Staff were friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Omelets were delicious- be sure to fill out an user form. Cookies at the front desk hit the spot. Loved the window quilt - kept the room dark and quiet. We would stay there again. Only thing better is if the snow removal team would face cleared our car before we woke up. ❤️
I paid double for the low star hotel than I paid for an upscale 4 star hotel in downtown Seattle. Half of the amenities offered don't work and the staff isn't very friendly. I hardly slept and the rooms were tiny. If you gave the option, book elsewhere.
this hotel was very clean, comfortable. lobby cozy. loved jacuzzi tub in room and fireplace. staff friendly and accommodating. Omelet bar very good; biscuits a little dry. everything else excellent. I would definitely stay here again.
There was snow everywhere but the parking lot was and walking areas were clean. The staff was awesome and answered all my questions and told me some great places to eat. The hotel was quiet and clean. The atmosphere was warm and pleasant
Warm pool, nice hot tub, clean rooms, cozy lodge experience, good continental breakfast with lots of variety. We stayed here with our six children. We had adjoining rooms and the stay was relaxing for all of us.
Excellent service, outstanding atmosphere, great accommodations. Wonderful young lady working the front desk. Great breakfast with a young man making omelets. Large selection of breakfast items to choose from. Will definitely stay again when in McCall.
We wanted to have an end of year fishing trip to McCalls fishing ponds. We had a good time staying at the Best Western. They seriously had the nicest beds I have ever slept in at any Hotel. I really enjoyed our time there eventhough we didn't get a 3rd floor room.
Unfortunately some of the rooms on the ground floor are close to wending and ice machines which make them very noisy. Around two a.m. all the machines started to make noise and it continued the whole night. It was like sleeping in a plane. There is no way the management is not aware of this. Also the hotel wasn't full so I was not happy that the receptionist gave us the worst room (room n. 125). I would recommend staying down the road for half price and a better room. Another issue was the pool - it was very very chlorinated. We ended up not going again because we could smell chlorine everywhere even after showering. It would be better to change the water regularly instead of dosing it in chemicals. I hope that some authorities check, if the levels of chlorine are still safe for humans in this hotel. Again my advice: Go to a cheaper better hotel without a pool and go swimming in one of the local hot springs.
This hotel is well decorated both inside and out and is very clean. We enjoyed staying here and the other 2 in our party said the same thing. Very nice people and well taken care of. The only complaint we had was that the pool was freezing we were unable to get in. We did sit in the hot tub for a little while but wanted to swim.
We booked a room for the first time at the Best Western in McCall. We typically stay at another place in town but this time we were traveling with pets and felt this was the best option. We were pleasantly surprised with the cabin/southwest decor and they have a good continental breakfast. The inspiration for the review however, is Jake, the omelet guy. He was so adorable and delivered great service. It's always so nice to find someone that delivers exceptional service. Make him the Manager!
Nice property that is pretty well maintained. Clean pool and hot tub. Very good breakfast with made to order omelets. BEWARE of the fact there may NOT be a crib available EVEN when you call several days ahead of time to be sure there will be one and are assured there will be one in your room when you check in. We did NOT get that crib and were forced to have our child sleep in an unsafe for her bed. Not impressed. That is the reason for the "Poor" review.
The hotel and staff we're great! When we first walked in our room we seen it had laminate floors which is really cool. It did smell kind of strong Pine-sol we just open the windows for a little while.
I like this hotel, clean, attractive, comfortable and well located. We visited for the outdoor activities in the area and we were not disappointed. It was a good value for the money. I will go back to the area and stay here unless I decide to camp.
Good location, clean and nice, however room a bit small. Hotel had a great breakfast, with a home made omelet. Outstanding. Rooms a bit small. Jon at check out very nice and Jessica great at check-in.
We stayed two nights. Room was clean, hotel and staff were great. Within walking distance to town. Very quiet at night which I appreciate. We will definitely come back and stay. Super close to the airport.
We enjoyed our stay at Best Western. The bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was very good. A chef fried made-to-order omelets or eggs accompanying various other breakfast fruits, breads and baked goods. The only disappointment was no safe in the room to protect your valuables. I would recommend this hotel.
A dog room being on the third floor. I'm 70. I don't do steps well. The fire alarms going off intermittently. Ever see a bog react to that? Not pretty. I did try to phone the front desk from the room to find out what was going on. The phone didn't work. There was no grounded plug anywhere near the desk in the room. My computer has a three-prong plug. Asked the front desk it they had some sort of adapter. “No, but we are aware of the problem.” Wonderful. I was a little concerned because the ground floor door was taped open all the time. Not lockable. Breakfast This is what the website says: Complimentary full breakfast, Enjoy our complimentary full hot breakfast that includes fresh made to order omelets, biscuits & gravy, sausage, Belgian waffles, cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice, and we have a fresh made to order omelet bar . . . what was provided? A glob of sausage on a bun that soaked up all the grease. It did have some indistinguishable piece of what might have been cheese. No white milk. Chocolate doesn't go with oatmeal well. One old apple, which I took, and oranges. There was a poor assortment of pastry, though I came late to the party. The coffee was good, but tepid. We were going to stay three days but left after two because my wife was feeling ill from the new paint smell. We obviously won't stay here again.
Everything about my stay exceeded expectations. The lobby is very well designed and inviting. The room was exceptionally clean and smelled great. The room was well appointed and the bed was perfect. Staff was friendly and efficient and I even received a free breakfast including fresh fruit and a breakfast burrito!
We spent one night here two nights ago. Our room was good size and most recently redone/upgraded. For us the bed was just too firm. I slept fine but my husband had quite the back ache yesterday. Since they are redoing the second floor, which we didn't realize, we had a room on the 3rd floor. I did NOT appreciate waking up startled by the pounding of hammers right below us at 8 AM!!!!! Hey, I'm on vacation and just maybe I'd like to sleep in...NOT!!!! Breakfast was standard fare these days: biscuits & gravy, sausage, breads, donuts, cereal, yogurt, etc. It was fine enough and what we expected. Did grab a cookie on arrival, which was quite tasty with a cup of tea. Staff was just staff, not very friendly. Stay again...will try elsewhere if we return most likely.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, hotel staff is very kind, helpful, and friendly. General manager is one of the best, very kind and helpful as well. Hot coffee is always available in the lobby. Anytime we stay in McCall this is where we will stay!
We stayed here on March 23 and thoroughly enjoyed it! The customer service was outstanding (especially Jon), great pool and hot tub, delicious breakfast with made to order omelettes, very cozy and clean. No complaints about the beds- we had a good night's sleep. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
We've stayed here 3 times over the past couple of years, and are well satisfied with the quiet and clean accommodations. However, the last 2 times we stayed there it has become evident that the mattresses that they are using just aren't providing the support and comfort that my sensitive back needs. The mattresses show very evident depressions and the last time we stayed there I had one of the worst night's sleep than I've had for quite sometime. Because of this I don't think we will be staying here again when skiing in the McCall area.
The hotel itself it nice enough, we enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna and loved that they had non-kid hours for the pool (10-midnight). Breakfast was OK, each day they ran out of many items and they were not replenished, one day with over an hour left and the other over 30 minutes left until breakfast was over. Be aware that breakfast ends at 9:30 at this hotel, that's pretty different from most others where they give you until 10. The staff were cheerful and helpful for the most part. They gave us recommendations for dinner as well as cross country skiing that were excellent. The beds here are absolutely HORRIBLE! They are hard as a rock. The first night I woke up twice because my arms were going numb. I'm a side sleeper and whatever side I was laying on that arm would go numb and wake me up. The next night I propped myself up on 2 pillows instead of 1 and, though my arms didn't go numb, I could barely sleep. I've since read other reviews about the beds and the manager's response that they are sealy posturepedic mattresses. I don't care what kind of mattress they are, they are completely uncomfortable and far too hard. I like a firm mattress but this was beyond firm, like sleeping on a slab of concrete or sheet of wood. Sleeping was made harder by the fact that the heaters in the rooms do not keep the rooms at the temp you set it to. This wasn't just our room either, as they had to move us to another room when the first one they gave us had wet carpets from being cleaned that same day (why would you not keep that room to the last one to give out?) and the heater in that room wasn't keeping the room at the correct temp either. We set the temp for 64 at night hoping it would cool off enough for us to sleep but it never did. We ended up opening the widows despite the snow and freezing temps outside. No matter what you set the temp for it was significantly hotter in the room. We were also on the first floor so our room was not impacted by heat rising from the rooms below us. I'd also like to mention that giving us a room with completely wet carpets that smelled like a bottle of perfume had been emptied in the room was not OK. Further, when we called to see if we could switch rooms (we had checked in early after all and knew many people hadn't checked in yet) we were told at first that the hotel was full and there was nothing they could do. Only after insisting did they let us talk to someone else who switched our room for us. I really don't understand why you wouldn't make some changes and save that room with the wet carpets for the last room of the night to be given out. That way you could give it some time to dry and not make other guests change rooms. We'd already unpacked our toiletries and clothing and had to pack it all back up to switch rooms. I also had wet socks which would have been a huge problem if I hadn't brought more than what I needed for the 2 days we were there. All in all I don't think we'd stay in this hotel again since there are several other options in town and I'd like to actually be able to sleep when we visit again.
Staff was awesome. Room was awesome. Breakfast was awesome. The manager of this hotel knows that we do business in the area quite a bit. She is always very accommodating and keeps us coming back to this hotel instead of another. There are four of us that spend a couple weeks a year here and have never had a bad experience.
Great facility, Safe, Clean and very comfortable. Each time I visit McCall, ID. this is my location of choice to stay and relax. I also make use of the Conference room at this Hotel and the staff not only take great of the Hotel guests they made the attendees to the training I was providing feel very welcomed and tend to there request as well.
Very clean hotel, friendly staff and good breakfast for a hotel. Even a build your own omelet bar. Pool was great for the kids and met lots of nice parents. Couldn't ask for a better location (unless you want to pay lakeside rates!)
This hotel is wonderful. We enjoy hanging out in the lobby as well as the hot tub and pool. The bed in the room was very comfortable and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast omelets were a perfect start to the day. We also liked the fact that every room has a refrigerator and microwave so you are able to reheat any leftovers from the night before.
We stayed here in December and had a wonderful time. Our room had a king size bed, a jacuzzi, and a lovely fireplace. The free breakfast was amazing and had an omelette station as well as biscuits and gravy and waffle machines. We loved the lodge look of the venue and were impressed with the cozy, well-designed wait areas near the front desk. We even got cookies when we checked in and Jessica at the front desk made sure we were well taken care of during our stay. Highly recommend!
My husband and I always enjoyed the McCall Best Western when visiting there. I don't think we will be back. My sister and I stayed for a weekend to take part in a nearby yoga retreat. In a hurry to check out on the last day of the retreat, I left a pair of jeans and a belt behind in a up dresser drawer. I called them a couple of days later to make arrangements to pick them up and was told they would check for them and call me back. I called multiple times and received that answer, no return call. About 10 days later I was able to speak with the manager who informed me that they didn't have the clothing. Yes, it was my fault they were left behind but some dishonest employee made off with a nice pair of ladies jeans and leather belt.
I have to say the manager of this property didn't seem to care how we were treated either. Yes, we asked to check in a little early only because one of us in our party was feeling ill, however the desk clerk acted as if we were a bother and just said check in is at 3 and you'll have to come back then. I own a hotel and never would we say this to a guest in need. We would have contacted housekeeping and asked them to tell us if a room was ready and if not, please get one ready ASAP. It's not like we were trying to check in that early either.
Great accommodations, friendly service and clean; easy access to the airport. Has laundry facilities for guests, fresh baked cookies in the evening and breakfast in the mornings. Would definitely stay there again!
I travel for business frequently. This hotel was located in an easy to get to area and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The interior of the hotel was very comfortable and made me want to sit on a couch near the fire and read a book. Very inviting!
Everything was great. Exceeding lot expectations. We needed some towels and an extra roll away and the guy working at the front desk was super nice and fast with helping us. We really like the extra sink outside the bathroom (in addition to the one in the bathroom). The breakfast was good - fresh custom omlets were awesome!
We recently stayed 2 nights in this beautiful hotel in McCall. Kaehli at the front desk got us squared away within minutes of arrival. Jon helped me with my rewards account the next day as well. The breakfast is simply the best, who else loves made to order omelets? The 2 breakfast ladies were awesome, there is a tip jar at the omelet station, I encourage you to put in a dollar or two to acknowledge their hard work! Beds were extremely comfy, shower had good pressure, bath products were good too. There is a blackout shade that works well, good selection of tv channels. The gym was small, but very functional, you can enjoy the nightly cookies without guilt! I also appreciated there is a laundry room on site, great for busy travelers. We met the friendly manager Jessica and we understood why her front desk staff is so wonderful. When our travels bring us back to McCall, we will definitely stay here again! A top notch Best Western for sure.
This hotel exemplifies customer service. The staff is friendly and treats you as one of the family. You will be amazed at the level of service you will receive as well as the amazing rooms. This is a great location whether you are traveling for business or pleasure.
We loved our stay at Best Western Plus McCall Lodge & Suites. We had a delightful pet-friendly room (they gifted our dog with a treat bag). The Heath Bar cookies at 5 pm are outstanding. And they have a chef who makes delicious made-to-order omelets for breakfast in the morning! The staff is friendly. The facility is clean and quiet. The rooms are lovely.
The hotel is inviting from the moment you drive up to the door. The lobby decor is appropriate for the area. My party of 4 all commented we wished we could stay longer to enjoy the ambiance of the lobby, rooms and area; but alas travel time did not allow.
Wedding guest checked out 1 hour after check out, charged for extra night. Inquired, got 3 different stories. Said belongings remained in room when guest was already home 2 hours away. Check your credit card bill after you get home!
Just stayed here one night while on a 2000 mile road trip. The lobby was warm and friendly as was the staff. My first impression was that the entire facility smelled very clean, like grabs your attention kind of clean. Decor was better than most places in this category. I asked for a recommendation for dinner and was given four choices , which is better than usual. Breakfast was very good and better than most hotels too. You can't go wrong staying here.
As a motorcyclist, we love to stay in places that feel like home. This is one of those places! The only problem for us was only 1 washer and 1 dryer. Made it really annoying to have to go back and forth multiple times to change them.
I recently stayed for a business trip while in McCall. The lobby is very well decorated, it reflects the area well. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was well done - the omelets were delicious! I had been concerned about the location being so close to the airport upon arriving, but the hotel is very well built and no outside noises could be heard. The rooms were very clean and inviting with nice comfortable beds. The hotel is a short distance from town and the lake by car but is a bit far just to walk. I enjoyed my stay and if retuning to McCall in the future I would likely stay again. I do recommend the Best Western to anyone!
the hotel is clean, the breakfast is ok, but not great, the location is as far out of town as can be for the size of McCall. Yes it is a only a 15 to 20 minute walk to the lake... And you will have to walk because there is no Uber/Lyft in town. Worse of all the Saturday Evening Pricing during the summer ($300 plus tax) is not worth it! Other nights it is $180 plus tax, which should be their top pricing, so feel this $300 plus Ritz style pricing for a Best Western on a Saturday night is price gouging at it's best. Very disappointed with overall experience.
I want to Thank everyone for there show of support from the community, it was a very good experience to see this beautiful area. The room was absolutely beautiful very clean and staff was very nice and helpful.
Be careful of bait and switch booking this hotel. Booked a two queen suite through booking.com. When we arrived we checked in and went to our room without issue only to find a single queen bed and a pullout couch that was supposed to be a queen but was barely a twin (see pic). It was big enough for my 11 year old and that was it. Thought maybe we were checked into the wrong room so verified with the front desk. We were told that booking.com double booked their queen suite and that we were upgraded to their best room. I've stayed in their queen suite before so I know that the room wasn't really an upgrade. At no point were we told prior to arrival and the room definitely isn't made to sleep 4 comfortably. Expected better for $250 a night. It's a nice hotel but beware, the room you book may not be what you get. Bait and switch.
Please read the entire review. I have stayed in 3 different Best Westerns in the last 10 days. All have been nice. The McCall Best Western was clean, comfortable and staff very nice. Breakfast was great. My issues are that the internet was not very good, we had to prop the door open to the bathroom or it would swing shut. We asked the front desk to have our drain looked at and nothing was done. Saying all this it was a enjoyable stay and we will stay there again. Just Get picky when you are paying that type of money and have to deal with stupid stuff.
I like staying at McCall Best Western because the staff is always friendly and caring and always takes time to chat and make guests feel comfortable and valued even if the check-in time is late at night. I love the rustic but classy Western decor of both the inside and outside of the hotel.
This is a really cute place both on the outside and inside. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great we enjoyed it every day of our stay. The housekeeping staff was very attentive. The only thing missing was tissues in the room. But there wasn't even an empty box so I guess they just don't provide them. We enjoyed our stay there.
We stayed in a 2Q Suite and it was huge. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we rarely heard anyone in the hallway or outside. The pool and jacuzzi are both very large, and there was a sauna too. The only problem we had was the A/C didn't work very well. Other than that, it's a great place to stay.
This was a really clean, comfortable place!! The beds we comfie and the linens were beautiful. Breakfast was better than any we have had on this trip. Omelettes made to order, yum!! If we come back to mccall we will stay there again!!
My group just needed a place for the night and a breakfast on a series of days on our long drive. This hotel was our first overnight stay and provided a quiet, affordable place for our purpose. Front desk were attentive and courteous. Breakfast was decent.
Best location on HWY 55, minutes to beautiful Payette Lake and Mountains. This was a return trip. we and our 2 Golden Retrievers were there in September. There is a handy grassy area for there needs. Our room on the first floor was so handy and you can't beat the breakfast with personally made omelets. Rooms are very nice and the bed comfortable. The manager Jessica was so welcoming and is a great resource for McCalls places of interest. Everyone is so nice there and helpful.
This is as nice of a place to stay in McCall as you will find. This is a newer property, and is very well maintained. We needed to have access to the airport so this was the ideal location The room was clean and well kept. The staff from the front desk to the food service was very courteous and helpful. What I was pleasantly surprised with was the breakfast being served. In addition to the wide variety of the food items, they also had made to order omelettes. Nicely done.
What a beautiful site this is. From the moment you enter the lobby, the woodwork, open beams, and lobby give an immediate impression of a mountain lodge - beautiful! The staff was beyond professional - this team really goes out of their way to make you feel like a treasured guest! The GM Jessica was memorable in her kindness and welcoming spirit. Rooms are beautiful! We stayed in a corner unit, with a view of the sun rising over the horizon - spectacular. Comfortable chairs, the bed was perfect - what more can one ask for. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this site. Well done!
We stayed one night and it was nice. Clean room. Comfy bed. The hot tub was cold, but the problem was solved quickly. The dog walk area needs to be cleaned up. I'm assuming the lack of pick up is because of the swampy lawn and recent snow?
Great place to stay. We usually stay here at least once a year and we are never disappointed. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to the center of McCall and the lake.
Rooms are large, clean, standard. Breakfast was good, with custom omelettes. A bit south of town. Pool and hot tub nice for after skiing. Families enjoying hotel. Cost fairly high, but in season to be expected.
This was our third stay at this Best Western in McCall, Idaho and I believe the first time I have given it a review which is a shame. The night before we left for McCall I got a call from the hotel manager telling me there had been a cancellation and did I want to upgrade for a nominal fee. I said yes and the room we got had a fire place in it. Breakfast included a make-it-while-you-wait omelette with real eggs. The staff is very friendly and helpful and told us some good places to eat and what was happening in town. My wife and I will going back to McCall in the next few months and will stay again at the Best Western. I would recommend it to anyone.
Looking for quality and value in a place to stay. Best western plus have always met our expectations. Quiet room. Clean and comfortable. Close to town and restaurants. Great breakfast. Easy parking . Definitely go back again
My family and I had a great time. Good service, great food, comfortable bed, and awesome pool. The kids (ages 3-14) had a blast! Nice equipment in the fitness room. I had a great workout, and enjoyed the hot tub.
Family relaxation, feel like it great that bed should be somewhat softer, I know some people like to sleep on hard beds but feel like maybe it should be an option, specially since we walks over 6-8 miles through town and would have been nice to relax our body a bit more, son had a great time in pool area,
Went up to McCall for the 2018 Winter Carnival and stayed a couple of nights. Very nice facility with friendly staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Welcoming hotel with a cozy lounge, several smaller sitting areas, and nice in-door pool. One of the nicest BW we've stayed at. Only downfall is the location, it's a short distance out of town so if you want to walk downtown you may have to drive and park.
Perfect location with all the amenities you could want from cookies in the evening to a warm sauna after a ski at brundage. Friendly & helpful staff. wonderful lobby area for visiting and games. Fireplace to make you feel cozy & warm!
We tried to cancel a Saturday night stay on Thursday night and they said we needed to cancel by 8:00am on Thursday in order to be able to cancel it. So be careful that you give them 60 hours advance notice.
We stayed for 3 nights starting Xmas Eve. The staff were pleasant & friendly & helpful whenever we asked for information on McCall. We had a very large room with a fire place & whirl pool bath. It was extremely comfortable, clean & warm. Breakfast was good & there was coffee always available. We would happily stay here again.
This is a great place to stay if you are in McCall. Rooms are very clean, staff is very friendly and courteous and the room rates are affordable for the resort town of McCall. Close to downtown and all McCall has to offer.
Beautiful hotel, warm & caring staff, wonderful made-to-order breakfast omelets and very comfy beds! We stay here 3-4 times a year, usually while on business, and always look forward to our stay. If we get a chance to sneak away for personal time, this hotel is a favorite destination.
best service best people, clean friendly. cant beat it! we always stay here when in town. it had snowed the nite before we left when we came out the cars glass had been cleaned an ready for our departure 1st class!!
Overall a great experience. The place was well maintained, pet friendly and had a great indoor pool and hot tub. We were welcomed promptly by a friendly clerk, the room was clean and convenient and the breakfast was exceptional.
We had a corner room. The windows actually opened and we had fresh air. Lovely. Also the pool and hot tub were great. The breakfast has an omelette station and all the food was fresh. The hotel smelled like applesauce. The decor is very rustic and beautiful. Pet Friendly. We totally enjoyed our stay - although it was too short. thank you
The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the manager is an amazing person!!! Hands down the "Best" Western I have ever stayed at. Any problems were immediately taken care of. The manager went above and beyon!
All the staff was wonderful. And is the general rule at Best Western properties, the rooms were clean and comfortable. But, the highlight had to be the free breakfast, which is rarely the case. There was a fresh make-to-order omelette station and the staff member who worked in the breakfast room was so pleasant! By far, this was the best complementary breakfast I have experienced at any hotel!
I give this hotel a solid 9.5 across the board. Super clean, great rooms, quality internet, and the breakfast is better than most with fresh omelettes made to order. The staff was excellent and helpful.
We invited friends to stay with us at the Best Western Inn and had a great time. The hotel is very nice and had great amenities for all of us to experience. The buffet breakfast is amazing and had something for everyone. The rooms were spacious and clean.
We've stayed at this BW before. The staff are very helpful, the rooms nice and quiet. The hotel is conveniently located. Good place to stay. Building is well maintained with pool. Nice lobby with place to sit in front of a fireplace. television and computers to use.
First time to McCall, Idaho. The Best Western is a very comfortable hotel located not far from the downtown area and the beautiful Payette Lake. The trip was late fall, therefore the leaves were beautiful. Highly recommend.
Good The welcome was friendly and the check in went smoothly. The hotel, room, and bathroom were clean. The computer desk chair can be adjusted to proper height for typing. The WiFi connects and works well. The business center is in the main lobby area and is available at all hours. Not quite so good The bathroom is small and counter top space is small and limited. Bad The computer desk chair does not have arms for arm resting purposes. The Ethernet jack does not work. The breakfast items were alright, but only warm, not really hot.
This is a great hotel with a great off-season rate for McCall. The rooms are great and beds are comfortable. I always like to stay here when I am in McCall. Also a made-to-order inlet bar for breakfast!
Staff was NOT friendly at all. Check-in girl was too busy visiting with her friends in the lobby and acted annoyed when we walked in. And when I called the front desk a few days prior to verify my reservation, the girl was extremely rude and snobby. Rooms are overpriced for how little atmosphere you get. The amenities were however nice and clean.
Excellent staff, very clean. Probably the best breakfast I ever had in any of the Best Western hotels I ever stayed at. The omelette bar was a great add on and the cook was extremely helpful and pleasant
Great experience and hotel. Bed good Breakfast included personally made omelettes Starbucks with in 2 miles But... No place to plug in CPAP with out unplugging radio/alarm Also, could not get Boise State Game on TV
Clean and close to town with a friendly staff. We have stayed here twice in the last two months and will stay again when in town. The breakfast is excellent. They make your personalized egg dish in front of you. And of course they offer all of the other breakfast type items to include self-help waffles.
The hotel has a nice mountain decor. Good use of public open space for visitors in the evening. Cozy spot by fire place, conference room and tables and chairs. Hotel is on the south end of town. A few restaurants within waking distance. Easy access to the bike path that leads to town.
The hotel is in a good location near downtown, quiet and close to good paths for walking and bicycling. It was great to have a fireplace in the room. The staff was gracious and the amenities were great. I would definitely return to this hotel in the future.
Mccall is a beautiful, vacation town. Nice overnight stay. The bathroom in our room needed a mote thorough cleaning before our arrival and, like most hotels, the bathroom fan didn't work. A nice chain hotel.
Exceeded our expectations! Jessica, the general manager is the best representative Best Western could have. Our room was great, the lodge is very nice and comfortable. I liked the small details like the black makeup towel, John Muir picture in our room and cookies on the main desk at night. We really enjoyed the breakfast - Kathy made the best omelette/my husband raved about it. This was our first time to beautiful McCall, Idaho and staying here helped make our visit very enjoyable.
This hotel is a great value if you get the winter rates. If you are traveling with a dog, there is a large area to walk the pet. The breakfast is adequate, with ample seating. The beds are very comfortable, and the handicap room has lots of space. The front desk will supply you with a map of the town if you ask for one.
the employee's were very helpful. Room need cleaned better. The meals were very good, great idea on the cooking to order. that was great. All of the employee's that I talked with were nice and very helpful.
The location is convient to the golf course or to drive downtown. Ridley's grocery store and a gas station is nearby, which is really nice. The room was clean and the staff friendly. They cook omelettes for you at breakfast.
The Best Western Plus McCall Lodge & Suites in McCall, ID is our "go to" place when in this pretty town. It's very quiet, has a wonderful hot/cold breakfast with an omelet station, and is very clean. The staff at the front desk is very professional, and we appreciated the guidance and directions provided for day trips and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel. You will not be sorry!
I stay here every year on business. This year they must have new pillows. They wrap around your head and provide no support at all. There than that, I love this hotel. The breakfast is better than the 5 star hotels I have stayed at, and it's free.
This motel was very enjoyable and the pool and hot tub with a dry sauna was awesome we had it to ourselves. The breakfast was great with homemade omlets.. The staff very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable.
Very nice jacuzzi suite room for an excellent value during the off-season . Very comfortable bed with large spacious room Conveniently located near grocery store and a short distance to downtown. We'll stay here again
After a long day in the car driving from Glacier in all the smoke, it was a breath of fresh air to walk into this hotel! The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and when they heard we had such a tough day, they upgraded us to a really nice room. The room was very clean and comfortable, the hotel well furnished, and breakfast was really good. The front desk staff gave us suggestions for dinner, which was spot on. I just wish we had more time to stay! We will be back.
This hotel has always been a great place to stay. The accommodations are great, the decor is fitting for the area as well as pleasing to the eye. The location is great for getting around town. The staff is always courteous and helpful. what more could you ask for!
We headed west to McCall, Idaho, to visit family who had relocated to the area. The Best Western Plus became our headquarters for a week. Instead of feeling like an impersonal hotel, we felt like we joined a happy family for the week. The staff was universally kind and interested in our comings and goings. Because we enjoyed relaxing in the lobby after breakfast with books and newspapers, we observed many interactions between staff and guests, and the staff could not do enough in response to every request. Special kudos to Kathy and Connie, the delightful ladies of the breakfast room - who would whip up omelettes with a side of humor and travel info! The facility is well maintained and clean; location is ideal for touring the area; pool and hot tub were lovely, and the workout room was well equipped and handy. I wish we did not live so far from McCall - I would love to revisit this gem of a hotel!
Our granddaughter is a member of a high school mountain bike team in Idaho. As grand parents we volunteer to be course marshalls and we had to be out in the pit zone at 6:30am. The Morning Guy at the front desk had already set up the room for breakfast when we came down to check out. I asked him if I could go into the breakfast room even though it was not 6:00am. He said sure, so I was able to take breakfast with me to the bike race.
We enjoyed our stay and the accommodations were very good. We might have stayed a third night, but the rates were really high because of the eclipse. Luckily, I booked the first two nights in January.
This hotel is an excellent place to stay and the staff was very professional. We were there for the eclipse, so the hotel was full and breakfast was outstanding with a station for omelettes which was great. The pool was good, but not many takers. I would stay here again
Do not over look this brand new hotel with its "lodge" motif, excellent staff, and superb breakfast made to order. The amenities are bountiful: WiFi, coffee machine in room, fresh baked cookies at desk, pool, exercise room.
We were on a road trip through Idaho and selected this hotel because it is pet friendly. We had a wonderful room with convenient access to a nice pet area. The lobby is beautiful and breakfast is outstanding. Highly recommended!
Only had one night here before moving into a lake front house that we had rented for the remainder of the week. Couldn't have been more impressed. Probably one of the top 5 Best Western we've ever been in. Very, very clean and nicely designed. Mountain contemporary decor. Beautiful lobby. Nice artwork. Nice indoor swimming pool area with hot tub and private pool area bathroom. Natural lighting in many of the common areas. Great little dog run area on the northeast side if you're traveling with pet. Great service and very professional staff. Also located a little south of the main square. So, nice to get away from the very busy part of town when time to rest.
Friendly and helpful stall and a comfortable place to stay. Nice to be in McCall without the hustle of being in the center of town went you want to relax after working. Also right near the road that can take you around the back side of town when you just want to get to the other side without traffic.
Room was comfortable and spacious! It was also very clean. The exhaust fan didn't work gouge bathroom so when showering it got foggy but we managed just fine. Jon at the front desk was very nice and friendly.
Nice large room with sitting chairs, fridge and small stove. Took care of all of our needs. The hotel was a bit out of town but worked fine for us as we were visiting relatives that had a cabin close to lake. Enjoyed being able to sleet in comfortable beds and have air conditioning. Breakfast was very good including omelets to order.
Had a great stay at the hotel for a week in August 2016. So much so that we decided to stay again. This time the staff wasn't as friendly, (reception), and we had a questionable level of cleanliness in our bathroom. There are many lodging options in Mccall and next year I think we'll do some research and choose elsewhere. I don't want to seem overly negative towards the property, but I feel they need to bring it up a notch.
Nice size room with comfortable beds. The hotel breakfast was very special with custom omelettes included. The hotel has plenty of parking, a swimming pool and hot tub and roomy lounge area. Staff was very helpful.
The best free hotel breakfast that I've ever had. The staff always takes care of me and the rooms are always in great shape and style. I've stayed in all the versions of rooms offered and confirm all are nicely exemplary put together. Some rooms have problems with the quality of internet wireless reception.
This hotel is located near the McCall airport. It's an easy walk to several restaurants. The location is usually very quiet. The drive into town is short. Depending on traffic allow five minutes. If you are going to visit the Shore Lodge restaurants allow about ten minutes. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Of course, the staff is first rate. The Breakfast room options consist of an omelette station, waffle griddles and the usual assortment of breads, fruit and cereals. The pool and hot tub were clean and fully operational. This was our third stay at this property.
Very helpful and friendly staff. The amenities and rooms were very nice. The breakfast that was provided was really good. Made to order omelets and a variety of choices to choose from. The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The pool area was also very nice.
Very nice hotel in McCall Idaho. Room was nice, we got a bigger one due to everything being booked and organizing the trip last minute. The breakfast included an omelette bar and other good wake up options. All and all a solid place to stay!
We stayed at the Best Western Plus in McCall, Idaho on July 11th and July 14th. The manager Jessica and her staff were nothing but friendly and helpful. We were traveling across country in a small plane for a month and checking into the Best Western Plus was welcoming and relaxing. Our room rate was discounted on the 11th as the room was double booked and after a trip into the back country for two days of camping the honeymoon suite was a welcome sight. Thanks Jessica! Jessica is a hands on manager. She could be seen doing everything from working the front desk to helping to turn over rooms. She even tried to locate the postcards I inadvertently mailed out without addresses and called me to let me know what to do to locate them with the postal service. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast choices were varied and delicious, especially the freshly made omelets. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Lynn S
Great stay, good service, comfortable beds. Great location with all amenities close by. Easy parking and easy in and out from the lot in either direction. Lobby was comfortable and welcoming and made for a great place to relax and enjoy the company.
We stayed 2 nights at the Best Western Plus in McCall, ID and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We had never been to McCall before and decided to stay at this hotel due to the great reviews on tripadvisor and were not disappointed. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful and would recommend them highly. The primary attraction in town is the beautiful Payette Lake with great water sports, hiking and bike riding. We will be back again.
Very near though not in McCall. Staff was helpful when questioned though for the most part preoccupied with providing professional though relatively impersonal service. Gal who cooked omelets at breakfast was efficient and amiable..
The hotel is nicely appointed and has the feeling of a mountain lodge. Really enjoyed the custom cooked omelet as part of the included breakfast. Hate the overcooked eggs found in a bin at most other hotels. We were part of a large group (75 people) staying there and they did a great job getting us checked in and out. The breakfast went well even though most of us showed up at nearly the same time.
Very nice hotel, lots of amenities, great service and reasonable price for McCall. We especially enjoyed the in-room Jacuzzi and the king-size bed. Plenty of towels and wash cloths as well. Although the hotel is near the airport, it is farther out from the lake than I had thought. Still, the distance was not that great and it was an excellent overall stay for my wife and me.
Newer spotless motel. Only complaint was the wonderful walk-in shower did not have a soap dish! Nothing else to complain about. Would gladly recommend to any one - we will be back. A bit out of the hectic downtown area but no problem. Pet friendly too.
Hotel is convenient for those traveling with pets and large vehicles, like boats in tow. Beds are comfortable. Location was decent; not on the lake or in town, but 5 min. away. Now, for the downsides: while the omelets served at breakfast were decent, it took about 25 minutes to get them due to the number of guests and only two skillets going. There was also biscuits and gravy which we didn't try, and the usual toast & pastries. The fruit was minimal and, overall, the breakfast bar looked 'tired' and not all that appealing, so we ate out elsewhere the rest of our trip, which made the room cost quite high. The room itself was fine; the bathroom old and dated. When I got down on the floor to retrieve something that had gone under the furniture, I could smell the carpet. Granted, this was a pet room but the carpet wasn't kept clean. The cell signal there was awful; I heard others complaining about it so it wasn't just our phones. When our dog was injured and we returned home one day early so that we could take her to the vet, they still charged us the full amount ($260!). It was July 4, and every room in town was full so I imagine they still rented the room and got paid for it twice. While I understand the typical cancellation policy, that didn't sit well. Would likely not return again.
We never have any complaints and always look forward to staying here when we're driving through McCall. I appreciate how easy it is to talk to an actual person at this location to pick out room locations. They have it all and do it well! Location / Service / Cleanliness / Pool / Breakfast
We had been on the road for about 2 weeks, heading home. This motel was a nice way to end our road trip. Clean, well maintained, and friendly helpful staff. Nice breakfast, the omelets was a good diversion from some of the other free breakfasts we had on our trip.
Spent one night at the McCall Best Western, overall it was great experience. Rooms were clean, comfortable, dog friendly, and a great indoor pool for the kids. Hotels free breakfast included an omlet station, this was a great addition to standard hotel breakfast.
We recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy the area and relax comfortably in pleasant surroundings. Very congenial staff. We only have one suggestion...that they make additional sports channels available with the addition of an optional fee.
We would come again. It was a little expensive compared to other Best Westerns we have stayed at, but guess the time of the year dictates prices. It is a tourist area and thus it was close to all of the attractions that we were interested in going to.
This hotel was by the most amazing experience i have ever had at a hotel clean smells great. The lobby was very beautiful and i loved that the first thing your see is smiling faces. Not to be rude there was a colored guy that came and fixed our tv and we dont remember his name but he was super amazing. kaylee helped us check in and she was perfect i wouldnt have her change anything. she was willing to help us with anything, and every request we had she jumped right on it. we will be staying there again for sure
Nice place. Good service. Best breakfast. Enjoyed the stay. First time and we liked it. Will go back again. This is the best hotel in town. New place too. Rooms are nice and clean. Friendly staff. Enjoyed pool.
The hotel is very nice and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We will stay here again. Their cancellation policy is very good. This is one of the reasons we chose to stay at the Best Western rather than a hotel on the lake which has a poor cancellation policy.
Friendly, competent staff, we felt like they really cared about us. The room was clean room and the public areas were well kept. The complimentary breakfast provided lots of choices each morning and was excellent . We especially enjoyed the omelet bar.
My husband and I stayed here on our wedding night and we loved it!! The staff is fantastic, the breakfast is great. Before we arrived the staff (knowing it was our wedding night) but rose petals on our bed in the shape of a heart. We will definitely stay here again.
The Best Western Plus is a great hotel. Went for a girls getaway. We were treated so well. The place was beautiful, pool, hot tub, workout room. It has an awesome breakfast with made to order omelets.
Had a great quiet and well fed stay. Really enjoyed the BW+ and McCall in general. The breakfast was great and we really enjoyed the location. It is across the street from the airport but never heard 1 plane
Clean hotel, friendly staff and pet friendly. Kids loved the indoor pool and we loved the workout room. Best hotel breakfast with made to order omelettes, sausage, waffles and biscuits and gravy. They even had gluten free options! Our dog even got a check in gift of treats.
Expensive room but a good bed and breakfast. Resort town hotels are always overpriced and this one was no exception. Bed was good, breakfast very good. Very noisy air conditioner, but the windows open at this property.
Everything was great except sink in bathroom did not drain well. The biking was great and so was the weather - great location - to get to trails, grocery store, and shopping. Check in was fast and easy. Take your bike up to your room - don't leave locked up outside - our very nice bike pad cover was stolen off of seat that was locked right by front door of lobby! They didn't steal the bike though! There are no camera's out front of lobby.
We stayed her for 1 night during Memorial Day weekend. We did not spend too much time at hotel but enjoyed the time we did. Beds are very comfy and great pillows. Rooms very clean and updated. Staff friendly and helpful. It is close to Payette Lake and shops and restaurants. A couple comments, pool area said no kids after 10 pm, but was not enforced and the free breakfast included made to order omelettes, but 1 person making them on one burner. It took over a half hour to get ours, but yummy when we able to enjoy. The store, Ridley's ? 1 block away had some souvenirs less expensive then what you find on the strip along the lake. I recommend!
Great experience. Will recommend as a ace to go on a girls weekend. Great amenities and perfect local location. The price was definitely in the budget, great room, great breakfast, staff was helpful super nice and accommodating.
Located just slightly south of town of McCall and therefore very quiet. Outstanding breakfast omelette station better than in a full service restaurant. One of the better Best Western Hotels I have stayed in.
We went to McCall for a quick weekend getaway for our Anniversary. We had never stayed at the Best Western Plus McCall Lodge & Suites but it had been recommended by friends. We were not disappointed. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The manager Jessica was awesome. She went above and beyond to make our stay great. We stayed in a King Jacuzzi suite and it was wonderful. Very big room with the most comfortable bed we've ever had in a hotel. We will definitely stay again.
This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel and it was just as clean and comfortable as before. The spa was not working and I would have enjoyed that. The breakfast items were all prepared well and there was a good selection. The rooms seem well insulated as I did not notice noise from the hallway or other rooms.
The Best Western McCall is one of the best hotels in the BW chain that I have stayed at. The cleanliness of the room was great and bed was very comfortable. Only BW I have stayed with a made-to-order omelette bar - kudos for that! I would stay here anytime on business or with family.
The arrival and check-in process was smooth and easy. The staff was very nice and helpful. We needed a later check-out time and they were very accommodating! The complimentary breakfast was particularly noteworthy. There were hot waffle irons with ready to go batter, and made to order omelettes, as well as the traditional continental breakfast fare. Overall, great value for the money!
This was a lovely property with friendly, knowledgeable staff and a comfortable room. A special treat was the made to order omelettes at the free breakfast. The property was in the process of remodeling the lobby which was a minor inconvenience.
Every aspect Of this hotel is wonderful. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs. Everyone was very friendly. The lobby is very welcoming. The décor is very appealing. Our room was recently redecorated and we received many positive comments from our group. The décor was simple and very tasteful. The king size bed was very comfortable. The staff did a good job daily cleaning the room. Our grandkids enjoyed the pool and spa. Our group gathered most evenings in the lobby and it was very pleasant. The breakfast surpassed all Best Westerns we have stayed at. Fresh omelets were made daily and many other options sere available.
Checked in- couldn't get the key card to work at all...after going back and forth a couple times they put us in another room. Room was clean and spacious, the exhaust fan in the bathroom didn't work. Maid service is supposed to be between 8-2. Took the DND sign down at 11, returned at 1- no maid service. Called the front desk they said they would send one...left for a couple hours came back, no maid service. When I called the front desk the man said the maid was already gone and there was nothing he could do. At check out the GM compted the $20 pet deposit for the inconvenience. Just didn't make up for the rudeness of the man at the front desk.
Great stay. Clean. Smells mountain fresh. Super breakfast. Great bed and pillow. Walking distance to store, mail, liquor store, and restaurants. Dry sauna great in the cold weather. Beautiful front entry with nice fireplace sitting area to socialize.
Staff was nice and professional. Excellent customer service. Breakfast was awesome with lots of options.Excellent tv and channel options. We stay there in the future with the family. Excellent location in McCall
We booked a hot tub room for one night when we got to the hotel we asked if it was available another night the Guy said sure not mentioning that the whole Floor we were on was empty preparing for Hallway rug replacement which started at eight am and the first night we had to stay out of our room because of fire alarm testing wish we were told before we stayed just cause its the off season does not mean we dont matter never had this trouble with best western before
If you like a rustic, outdoor, yet professional look you will love this place. It was clean, and the rooms were updated. It provided for a very relaxing evening. The full breakfast was great and I loved the omelet station.
Very clean, comfortable, quiet hotel. The location is very good and convenient. The service is very good too.It is wonderful where is very close to ski resort. I would like to live there when we go to Brundage ski resort in McCall every year.
This was our 2nd visit in two years. I was just as impressed this time, as I was the first time. The rate was Very reasonable for a room with a jacuzzi and fireplace. It was spacious, clean, and the staff was very pleasant. We will definitely stay here again. Possibly the only negative is that the location is across from the small airport and we did hear a couple planes take off. Of all the locations in McCall we would choose this one hands down.
My wife and I are both in the military and are preparing to retire in 2 years. This has sent us into a hunting spree for places to retire and raise our family. We have both be stationed all over the US and traveled the world. During the week of Mar 26- Apr 1 we were exploring towns for retirement all around the state of Idaho. Towards the end of our week we decided to stay over night in McCall on our way to northern Idaho to explore more property. This is when we met Jessica Points. She was the first person that we met in town and immediately felt at home with her hospitality and plethora of local knowledge. Jessica made us feel like special guests and very comfortable in a new place. This comfort led to us exploring the town that evening and extending our stay an additional day. Jessica has been a pivotal addition to our decision to retire in McCall, ID. We want to surround ourselves and our children with people of the caliber that exudes the personality and demeanor of Jessica Points. We will be recommending this hotel and Jessica to anyone we talk to who plans on visiting the area and we are at comfort knowing that we no longer have to search for a friend in the area we want to call home.
This is a very good property a bit away from the lake. My room was very large, check in was good, and breakfast was above average, mainly because omelettes are made per order. This is the off season, so the town was empty.
Clean, friendly, reasonably priced and great breakfast! My husband and I stayed here one night and found it to be excellent! Made to order omlets. All complimentary. Lobby was separate from the breakfast area
Checked in to our room and immediately found out that there was some repairs being done in our bathroom. Called down to the front desk and with in 5 minutes there was a hotel employee at my door with another key for a different room. And our room was just great. A small fridge. A microwave. Coffee maker. Blow dryer. It would have been nice if when I ran the bathwater that the plug would have worked and held the water in. The water was nice and hot. The heater worked well. Didn't smell nasty or moldy. Fridge was on but wasn't very cold at all. Bed was a king size. Blankets were great just right not heavy or too light. Just enough pillows. And not the cheap soap. Nice bath and body works products.
Had a wonderful experience at this hotel and would recommend it. The breakfast was very good. The pool and hot tub were very nice. The rooms were clean. Very good value for what you receive. All of the staff were extremely nice.
Staying at the McCall Best Western was a spur of the moment choice. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. Only stayed one night but it was a nice stay. The hotel is in a good location and the décor suits the surroundings. Definitely meets the consistent standards of the chain.
Super great staff. Awesome breakfast and made to order omelettes. Clean, quiet, super nice staff and house keeping service. Really had a great stay. Would stay there again over and over. A pleasant experience.
Great stay at this lodge...awesome staff and AMAZING breakfasts every morning. Will now look at staying at more Best Westerns because of this place! Staff always helpful even when I left my keys in my room like every other day!
We stayed at the Best Western Plus in McCall, Idaho, for 1-night in early Oct ($130). Located on the main highway ~1 km south of downtown, the hotel is a new one with a western decor and a typical BW 2-storey interior entry design. Amenities included an indoor pool and jacuzzi and an exercise room. We had reserved a standard king but, upon arrival, were told that all that was available was a handicapped king (we checked in at 3 pm and there were few cars in the lot) – not a huge deal but, with the the extra space required in the bathroom, the vanity was cramped and tiny – just a bit irritating. Otherwise, the room was standard for a BW, spacious with new light-coloured wood furniture – end tables, armoire, desk/chair, microwave, flat-screen TV. The hotel was a block away from a supermarket and liquor store, and a 5-min drive to the restaurants and bars downtown. McCall itself is a nice, small Idaho mountain town on a pleasant lake. It is a reasonable stop on a trip from Salt Lake City toward the Pacific Northwest if you are not interested in the big city comforts of Boise.
The Best Western in McCall, ID is simply...the best! We were looked after, given all the best opportunities in the most comfortable and appealing inn we have lodged in during a year of lots of travel. The bed was superb. The Inn was convenient to nearly everything. Beautiful and the breakfast was top-notch...even for a BW Premium! Had a dry sauna along with better than standard pool and hot tub with late hours! We loved it!
Our room was great, VERY comfortable bed, excellent shower, nice property location on the edge of town but within walking distance of local restaurants and grocery store. Breakfast was hot and included fresh-made omelets with your choice of several ingredients. Orange juice was yummy, too! The next time we're in this part of the country, we'll definitely be back! Thank you for an outstanding experience in lovely Idaho.
Comfortable room with a flat-screen TV with Direct TV, free WiFi, microwave, refrig.. Courteous staff. It is a short drive to many of the attractions of McCall including shore, restaurants, and shops.
Nice place for the entire family, including our big furry member. Best pet friendly motel in McCall Idaho. Very nice rooms, staff and big area for the dog to romp around. One of the better weight rooms and best motel breakfast in McCall.
We've never stayed at a Plus before. It was very very nice. Our room was very roomy and clean. The breakfast is included from your basic yogurt and fruits and cereals to make your own waffles and a woman that makes made to order omelettes. We will definitely stay at a Plus hotel again.
Only wish they had accommodations for meetings. This is a very nice hotel. We usually stay at the HI Express for our conference, but this year there was a booking mix-up, so we stayed at BW+ and had meetings elsewhere.
This was my second time staying here with some friends for a weekend stay. The rooms are comfortable, clean and affordable. The staff are friendly and the breakfast buffet has a variety to choose from; omelets, waffles, bacon etc... This is an excellent choice for families or those who come to play outdoors and want a nice place to come home to in the evenings. However, the pool is small and more for the kids rather than for relaxing. If you're looking to spend more time indoors, you may want to consider paying a bit more for the Lodges in McCall. All in all, this will not be my last time here; I always look forward to staying here.
A perfect location for all that McCall offers. Staff and property were exactly what a BWPlus should be. Staff was attentive and property was well cared for. Particularly enjoyed the hot tub in the room
Front desk friendly, very quiet, 5 minute drive to downtown. Modern rooms, close to small local airport. Good breakfast and coffee. Nice lobby. I was traveling alone and felt very safe and secure at this hotel.
Great location - good restaurants, shopping and the Lake close by. Best breakfast-they even make you your own omelet. Larger than usual hot tub with great pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Very nice quaint town that we visited on the way to Glacier National Park. Everything at the Best Western was very nice, clean, large, rooms. Just be attentive to the small sign might miss it when first arriving.
I did not realize that McCall was a tourist destination when I booked this motel. Compared to the other lodging in the area, rate was quite reasonable for the end of summer season. Room was clean, decently maintained. Nothing fancy, but good value for $
Really enjoyed staying here. The room was very comfortable, the check-in was quick, and it was very quiet around the hotel. Although I'm not a big breakfast person, I appreciated that they had several options, including omelettes and fresh fruit.
This place is clean and cozy and most of all, affordable. Great beds and bedding. Good people there to serve you. Nice hot tub and pool. Nothing to complain about. Make a reservation! I also stayed at one in Mesa, AZ. All the BW+ are great!
We booked our room late in the evening, they only had one room available! Our room had a jacuzzi tub in it! What a great place to stay , highly recommend kicking out the extra money for the jacuzzi tub! Yes we paid more than we wanted to but in the end it was worth every penny. :-) We have stayed at four other places in McCall and will choose this one the next time we return.
Great place to stay. So clean and the decor was so perfect loved it. Service was awesome breakfast was amazing thanks for a great stay ?? has a nice pool and jacuzzi and sauna I would go there again I don't need to say anymore wonderful place
very clean and staff was very friendly. I would stay at this location again. Very clean and friendly staff. Beds are comfy and internet is good. Lots of channels on the tv. Location is good. Just down the street from the pancake house.
Everything about this hotel was perfect. The lobby and the rooms are beautiful. The staff was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Best Western has really upgraded hotels and staff. We plan on staying at more Best Westerns
Most would prefer to stay close to town. We liked this place for it's quiet. A good rest was had after riding the motorcycle all day. You will probably need to get in your car to find better restaurants. Breakfast was nice because there was a nice person making a fresh omelette other basic ingredients.
This hotel has a great pool, hot tub and sauna. Breakfast is very good, and includes fresh made omelets. The rooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. Be aware, this is a few miles from downtown McCall and the lake.
It was a pleasure to drive up to the front of this motel because we had been helping our granddaughter set up at Jug Mountain for the Idaho high school mountain bike races; pitching her tent and making sure there was food for dinner. We were tired, ready for a good nights sleep. The front lobby was welcoming and so was our room. We had a great night sleep that helped us be ready to go back to the mountain for the races. We will come back when we are in McCall, Idaho
The hotel was great. A wonderful breakfast is included, with omlette station, bacon eggs, biscuits etc.. The staff very friendly and helpful, spotless rooms. The indoor pool and hot tub were welcome after a long day of riding. Would definitely stay again.
My room was quiet and clean. The bed was super comfortable. When I commented on the bed to the desk person they said the beds were brand new this year. I will return! The coffee is excellent and the food was mostly the same as everywhere except omelets were made to order. Yummy!
Front desk called me and all my fellow associates rooms as we tried to sleep to go to work that evening. We traveled that day there to get in a nap before work. Since we didn't get sleep which is why people rent hotel rooms we had a tough time working to our and the jobsites satisfaction. Other than that malarkey.... The rooms were quite nice, clean, and the beds very comfortable. I love that we had a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast was delicious. The real food both hot and cold choices were wonderful. The best I had in along time during work or leisure travel. Yes I would like to return to this Best Western in McCall Idaho again.
This is my first time stay at Best Western Plus McCall Lodge & Suites, McCall IDAHO I was so happy to stay here that friendly stuff, very clean, quiet everything was so comfortable, I will be back again
If I could give this review a 10 I would! We came here or a quick overnight getaway. We arrived 20 min. early, no problem. Room was clean and smelled good. Bed was comfy as were pillows. We had a king suite. Best of all, it was QUIET! No door slamming, running in the hall noise. Breakfast was fantastic. Omelet with cheese, ham, peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, hashbrowns, biscuits & gravy, sausage and bacon. Employees were very friendly. We will definitely stay here again.
We didn't originally plan to stay here - the vacation home we had arranged near the lake didn't work out, so we were referred to the Best Western. The registration desk was very helpful in getting us set up for the week. We had a very nice room, a great breakfast each morning and a good night's sleep each night, and met some very nice people!
We had a fun, great and successful visit to McCall thanks largely to the Best Western Plus staff. The Hotel staff was not only friendly while providing very good & clean accommodations, the staff provided excellent advice for dining, vacation activites and realtors. Madison (McCloud) and Jessica were fun to work with and gave us a family friendly comfort to our stay. Madison went far beyond expectations by making sure that we had a place to stay when McCall was sold out for our "spur of the moment" visit from Huntsville, AL. Jessica and Madison's knowledge of the area was extremely benifical to our stay - THANK YOU.
Nice. Newest hotel in McCall. It was an unexpected treat to see free, made-to-order three-egg omelettes cooked as we watched in the breakfast area. Ms. Points, the manager works hard to make her hotel stand out from the crowd. We had a great stay!
We typically rent a condo or a house for our family trip to McCall. This year, we rented a "Retro" condo that laterally hadn't been updated since the 70's including the mattresses. We went to the BW McCall without reservations. Jessica (GM) was able to accommodate my family for the balance of our vacation. Clean rooms & comfy beds! Thanks BW!
I was in McCall for work and spent the evening at the Best Western. It's conveniently located close to downtown. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the pillows were good. That's primarily what I'm looking for in a hotel. All I all, it was a good night's stay.
A little expensive for what you get but considering that it is prime vacation time in McCall I can understand the higher price. Rooms were clean and updated. The hotel was relatively quiet. Good indoor pool and close to a grocery store. A bit of a walk if you want to be near the beach or shops. You'd have to drive. Breakfast was decent, the had an omelette bar going which was a first for me at a BW. Both soda machines were out of order, not great after a 400 mile motorcycle ride but the desk was quick to provide a can of soda from their fridge.
The most over priced property in Mc Call Idaho. We felt "violated" At the price we paid, it would be reasonable to expect bottled water in the rooms. The vending machines were empty to which the staff said "oh well we don't manage that"
We stayed two nights and had a fabulous time. There s an indoor pool, exercise room and a first rate breakfast. The front desk was very helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The beds were the best though. We will go back.
Located near the commercial zone on Third Street, which is Highway 55, south of the town's center, Best Western features a large parking lot, comfortable and clean basic rooms, and a much better than average full free breakfast with lodging . Prices are high at $212.00 / night including taxes, but, remember! This is the height of the tourist season in a resort town. Other lodges are full. If you want a lake view and luxury, you need to research early and pay more.
Room did not get cleaned. When concern was expressed, no resolution was offered. Everyone was anxious what to do next time to get my room cleaned by housekeeping. I have never experienced this before, and I travel 50 weeks a year.
Rooms, service and cleanliness were excellent. Breakfast was satisfactory except the scrambled eggs. The hotel is located in a beautiful area and is close to the lake, shopping, downtown and places to eat.
The hotel was nice and clean. It is a little over priced - lobby and hallways carpets are older. Additionally, the hallways are dark / dim. The room was newly remodeled but did not have closet. Not much of a problem in summer but come ski season where will you hang the parkas.
We were in McCall for a family wedding and this was a great place to stay. The hotel was clean and bright. The front desk staff went way above and beyond, including knowing our names, helping with extra family, baking us cookies, making sure we had maps and helped us find all kinds of last minute details for the wedding. We so enjoyed both the staff, the room and the breakfast. I would definitely stay here again!!
We had a wonderful three day stay. We had to plan our trip around traveling with our dog on this trip. In our experience not all hotels that say they are dog friendly are actually "user friendly". That is not the case at this hotel. We were put in a room near an exit to make it easy to come and go. I understand not everyone wants a dog walking through the lobby with them so I like being able to come and go inconspicuously. When we walked in the room there was a dog bed, bowls and even dog treats. It was a very nice touch. There is a great grassy area right outside the hotel with doggie bags and a garbage can. They even had a picnic table for people to sit down while taking the dogs outside. There were several other families enjoying this area with their pets. The hotel was well maintained and very clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Finally they had a great breakfast with cooked to order omelets. A great way to start off a day in McCall!
Thanks so much to Jessica and the staff at the wonderful McCall Best Western Plus. As soon as we saw the area we wanted to extend our stay, which Jessica was able to do, even changing our reservation at the BW in Sun Valley. The place and area both werre beautiful
I own K. Costa Floral in Boise and went to McCall to create wedding flowers. During my stay at the Best Western Plus, I experienced professional and accommodating staff, comfortable rooms, and complimentary breakfast in the mornings! Jessica Points is the General Manager and catered to my every need! I will stay no where else upon my return to McCall. Thank you for making my trip a personable and very memorable one!
Everything was fine here except our one "pet room" which obviously was not cleaned well after the last pet departed. Sure this is an abnormality as the rest of hotel was well maintained. Good location/parking for the area.
Very nice pleasant hotel. Room clean and well appointed. Jessica at the front desk was personable, efficient and helpful. The atmosphere of the hotel is welcoming. Breakfast was good. There is even coin op laudry if needed.
Quiet and clean with good service is about all I ask for anymore. And the Best Western in McCall, Idaho provided that. The Best Western chain is hanging in there. Glad to see as they offer slightly older properties that have some charm. I liked the beds. I'd stay there again.
We stayed at Best Western McCall, Idaho for three nights during the weekend of our daughter's wedding. It was a very clean and restful property to come "home" to every night. My only complaint was some relentless construction noise (drilling and banging) that went on in the room next to us one of the afternoons of our stay, when we were desperate for a nap!
We stayed at the Best Western Plus in McCall, Idaho for one night as we were on our way to visit friends in Idaho. It was a very comfortable, clean and near everything in the town........very nicely decorated as well. We had been on the road for hours, and it was really nice to be greeted by a friendly, helpful and accommodating desk clerk and sleeping in such a great suite. I wish we could have stayed longer, and will stay there again!
Very surprised to find such a lovely hotel in McCall,Idaho. Not ever being there before we did not know what to expect. This is a wonderful Best Western, beautiful exterior and interior. The staff were very pleasant and well trained. The room was very nice with a great comfortable bed.Plenty of lighting and towels and washcloths. All in all it was one of our best stays on a week long trip.
Always clean. Friendly staff. Robust breakfast selection. Very nice indoor pool in a heated room with a spa tub. Love the redwood lodge look of the property. Conveniently located. This is our go-to hotel for stays in McCall.
We had a very pleasant 3-night stay here. The staff at the Best Western were very helpful and friendly. Jessica offered excellent customer service at the front desk. Connie makes sure everyone starts the day off with a great breakfast and she always has a smile on her face. She will even cook you a special order omelette. The rooms were clean and the price was reasonable. There is an indoor pool, jacuzzi, and dry sauna to come back to after a full day exploring the area. There was always coffee, hot tea, or hot chocolate available in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area.
Best Western Plus in McCall, Idaho is an excellent place to stay. Aesthetically pleasing, well located, nearby attractions, walking distance to town. Good amenities and service. Breakfast bar had a good selection with omelets to order, good options, good quality, and staff kept the area clean
This hotel was clean and the staff was amazing. Great breakfast with made to order eggs and omelets. Enjoyed the pool. This hotel is one of the best run hotels I have stayed at in years. Everyone deserves a raise!
Best place to stay while in McCall. Jessica is the best. The beds and pillows are great. The food is great. We could not ask for a better place to stay or better staff. Thank you for all that you do for us.
We had a last minute trip to the mountains and decided to stay at BW and we really were comfortable. We certainly will go back since the staff and hotel were above and beyond our expectations. Thank you Best Western.
Great room - terrific staff. Really enjoyed our stay. This is the first hotel room I've ever had with enough electrical outlets. That sounds silly I suppose but in most rooms you have to move furniture just to plug in your phone charger.
We stayed one night while on a 3800 mile road trip. Very, very nice room. One of the nicest hotels we stayed at......excellent value. Staff is very friendly. Hotel has a lodge feel to it. Nice swimming pool. Good breakfast.
Excellent service and hotel!! Good place to stay. Good breakfast. Pool was real clean. Close to highway. Nice area. Close to all restaurant's & gas stations. Good parking area. Nice atmosphere. Would stay here again. Looking forward to coming back soon.
The Best Western at McCall was a wonderful, comfortable place to stay during our exploration of the area. We would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. Everything was clean and appealing. They even offer custom made omelettes in the morning breakfast. Very helpful staff were able to give us recommendations for places to visit, things to see and do in the area. We really enjoyed our time in McCall and recommend the Best Western.
I had been wanting to go try "The Narrows" in McCall and this was the weekend that I decided on the Thursday before to head up and my son decided to join me and we took our dog. One of he reasons I chose the Best Western is because they were pet friendly although in hindsight the information provided at booking was not adequate to understand what their expectations were until l we checked in. The check in was smooth and luckily they were able to accommodate my need for a pet friendly room. They charged me the additional $20 and had me sign a "pet agreement". This stipulated that we couldn't leave our dog in the room by himself which put a crimp in our dinner plans. Our dog is not a barker and prefers to be inside especially during storms. We ended up taking him in the car while we had dinner and since there wasn't covered parking he had to endure a pretty significant hail storm in the car. Not the ideal situation, so next time I will be more thorough. The beds were comfortable and we were able to put his pet bed in between our queen beds since dogs are not allowed on the bed - he was sad and rejected :(. The pet area was adequate and we met other guests with dogs that didn't appear to be following the same rules I knew about? The breakfast was satisfactory and the check out was professional and simple. Not sure I would stay there again but then again I am usually an Airbnb kinda of traveler since I have been an Airbnb host before. Cheers! Marnie
We encountered three employees - two women and a young gentleman trainee at the McCall Lodge Inn & Suites in McCall, Idaho Friday evening through Sunday morning May 20-22, 2016 - I did not get their names, and all of them were professional, extremely helpful, very friendly and all the staff was very accommodating for our daughter's wedding and reception. Our experience there and their excellent customer service added extra specialness to a very special weekend for our friends and family. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! The Darrel Gray family of Orofino and Boise, Idaho.
From the moment you check in you feel like family. Always a warm greeting from the hotel manager and staff. Incredibly efficient, friendly and welcoming. The entire hotel is well taken care of by the entire staff. I commented to my husband how each employee looked happy and content in any role they played. It was obvious to me that not only do they enjoy their jobs they all genuinely enjoy taking care of the guests. We stay here every time we come to McCall and highly recommend our home away from home to our friends and family.
My husband and son stayed at this hotel and loved it! The pool was very warm and the breakfast was great. The people working there were very helpful and friendly. My husband enjoyed the work-out room. They really enjoyed their whole stay!
Desk help was friendly and efficient. The room was neat and clean. Everything was in perfect working condition. Have stayed at the McCall Best Western many times and have always found it to be a great stay.
excellent stay! be sure to go downtown and walk around. many good resturants by lake! People are so friendly and helpful! good drive through coffee shops that are not Starbucks!! be sre to visit Shoshone Falls , beautiful and breath taking!
Enjoyed our stay at this hotel, friendly staff, good meals, clean rooms, great internet service. Hotel has large swimming pool, hot tub, sauna and exercise room for a great price. Would defiantly recommend this hotel to the friends and family and will stay there again.
I usually stay at Best Westerns because I can rely on the place to be clean and decent at a reasonable price. This Best Western went far above that. Not only very clean and decent, but the amenities were great. The decor of the hotel is wonderful and fun (moose galore). Our room was spacious and had a view of the mountains, nice. The pool and hot tub were fabulous! They also have a large breakfast room with many, many items to select from. They will make you an omelette to order as well! I really liked that they had almond milk as well as dairy as I have trouble with dairy. It's also nice that the breakfast room stays open until 9:30 for us late risers. Hotel staff was very, very friendly and helpful. Overall, this hotel added to our trip in great ways.
This is a very clean and comfortable place to stay, so book early if you are going through this area. My wife and I are handicapped and have a hard time walking, but the only room available was on the third floor and the farthest one from the lobby. Not their fault, but hard on us and just let us know we need to book earlier if we want a more convenient room. Breakfast was really good with a chef on hand to make an omelet for you fresh with the ingredients of your choice from the selection they offer. We would stay there again if we could book earlier. All in all a pretty good place to stay.
Very nice motel. Everything was very clean and in good working order. Breakfast was very good, we could even order an omelet. Kids loved the pool. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in McCall.
We had a great time and staff was very nice. The bed was super comfortable and breakfast was delish. Check with the hotel, online it said check in and out times were 4 and noon. Actually they were 3 and 11am.
The staff at the McCall Best Western was welcoming, cordial, and accommodating. They had upgraded us to one of their nicest suites for our anniversary, which was lovely. Not only roomy, with wonderful natural light, but had a fireplace, jacuzzi, and king bed. Our weekend was quiet and private. The staff went out of their way to acknowledge us each time we left or returned to the property. Made the reservation online, with no problems.
Very nice hotel, I thought it was brand new so I asked the staff and he said it was 9 years old. Very nice decorations in the lobby and very clean rooms. The breakfast was very good also, love the waffles.
We stayed here for one night passing through. The pool was great for the kids to burn off some energy. It is North of downtown a bit, but fairly quiet. The breakfast was amazing including a chef who made omelets.
We stayed here for 2 nights. I made the reservation online and got a good rate through AAA. They honored my request for 2 adjoining rooms. The pool was the best we have used in McCall, including the one at Hotel McCall. The hot tub and sauna were great. The best part was the breakfast. Although the hotel was full, we were able to site down for breakfast. The omelets are made to order, but the only options are cheese and ham. They had biscuits and gravy both days we were there, and it was delicious! I came back later and they were out of decaf coffee, but they made me a fresh pot right away. We also got free chocolate chips cookies at night, but it seems like they do not make very many. We used the microwave in the room. We had to turn the refrigerator off because my son could not sleep with the nose!
This property is very nice. Our stay was enjoyable. We only needed a place to sleep for the night and breakfast but certainly McCall seems like a neat little town to spend a few days in. The BW is great. Very clean. Breakfast omelets were excellent! The pre-prepared food was a little tired as we had breakfast at the end of the breakfast hour. Excellent experience
After a long day of driving we arrived in McCall. The Best Westren staff was kind and got us to our room quickly. Breakfast in the morning was great, fresh coffee, and omlelettes made to your liking. Super comfy beds, clean rooms, and great showers..
We were driving from Arizona to Washington state and needed a place to stay for just one night. We saw a billboard in a small community about 25 miles from McCall and called for reservations. We had our dog with us and needed a pet friendly hotel, which this is. When we checked in, we were pleasantly surprised that this hotel, in a very small town, was so modern and clean. Service couldn't have been better, the room was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was wonderful. There were only a couple of restaurants nearby, but we would recommend the little pizza place just across the street for a good pizza and clean surroundings.
The Best Western PLUS McCall Lodge & Suites is a magical place. Upon arrival, Jake and I were welcomed by freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. When we got to our room, everything was clean and extremely comfortable. The wi-fi has an excellent connection and the shower has great water pressure that can be changed upon preference. The pool and hot tub area were also at the perfect temperature. And the breakfast was delicious. We recommend this hotel to anyone who is passing through McCall. Excellent service! We will definitely be returning. -Amy&Jake
The staff is extremely competent and always welcoming. The rooms are clean and new and the showers has good water pressure. The internet service is average and the cable selections expansive. I enjoy the breakfast, which ranges from classic hearty to light and lean, depending on your tastes.
This hotel is located on the outskirts of McCall, Idaho; however, it is still conveniently located to find restaurants. The downtown is a short drive or a long walk. The breakfast was very good with a Chef preparing omelets upon request. There is a good selection of breakfast items together with a waffle cooker. It is located near the downtown bypass and is only a 15 minute drive to Brundage Mtn Ski Resort.
Staff is helpful, seem very sincere in making your stay a good one! Have stayed here at lest twice previously and am always satisfied. This time, we needed an early check-in as we were attending a wedding. Staff was very accommodating, and upgraded our room, free of charge! Breakfast is good with nice variety!
This is the second time in a little over a year I have stayed at this property. The staff is excellent and was very helpful with a billing problem. The room was clean and wee appointed. The lobby is wonderful and great place to gather. The pool and hot tub are great. The breakfast buffet is great with made to order omlets. The refrigerator in the room was not very cold and there were no controls to adjust it. The curtains also had an annoying gap we could not close.
Our room was perfect for the two of us and the breakfast beats any continental breakfast any where. The pool and spa area fits the family get away, yet offers an adult setting. The presentation of the front lobby is warm and inviting.
Great place for our Mantrip. We had 14 in our group and we had a great stay at the Best Western. Having the hot tub and sauna was key after several days of riding the near by mountains. Staff was friendly and helpful when helping find places to eat with a large group.
We had all five of our kids (4 teenagers) plus one brought a friend. The staff was amazing, we couldn't hear ANY noise in our room, the pool facility is beautiful and the breakfast was top notch. We will be back!
Friendly helpful staff greets you with a smile, wonderful amazing breakfast, beautiful lobby with mountain decor, clean pool/hot tub...pool could be a little warmer, nice roomy King suite with mountain views. Would stay again with the family.
The location of the hotel and the parking lot was awesome. I drove by other motels during the same weekend and there were issues with other customers trying to find a parking spot. I did not have this problem.
would have stayed longer but hotel was fully booked. stay was nice but was a 4 day weekends so the area was flooded with people staying. Staff was very helpful and were wiling to let us know if there were any cancelations so we could extend our stay.
My experiences with other Best Western locations were just average. This particular Best Western location was notably better than others. The rooms had been renovated. The people were friendly. They had my reservation correct. Unlike almost any other hotel in its price range, this one had an omelette chef on-duty during breakfast. What a great idea! To earn a higher rating, there were 2 places where I would like to have seen improvement: Firstly, the Kleenex tissues were almost out when we arrived. The color changes from white to blue (or yellow) when the box is low. We left the room on the first morning on "blue." Unfortunately, Housekeeping did not bother to change the box, so we ran out as soon as we returned from skiing. I admit this is a pet peeve of mine. It happens at most places. Secondly, the coffee and tea are only accessible during breakfast hours. We returned from skiing and wanted a cup of hot tea. The doors to the breakfast area were locked. We had to ask the front desk for teabags. Then we had to boil water in the room's microwave in order to brew the tea. (In contrast, the Hilton properties like Hampton Inn have hot coffee, hot water, teabags and hot chocolate mix available 24 x 7. The room was a good value for $129 per night.
This Hotel is by far the best hotel we have stayed at. The beds and pillows were a dream come true. The room was big and spacious and clean. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was very friendly...this all made our trip outstanding.
Service was absolutely the best! Room, amenities, breakfast, were all fabulous! We normally stay at the Ashley Inn in Cascade or Shore Lodge. If I knew I was paying that much, I would have just stayed at Shore Lodge.
We had been on the road for a week, and had not had a decent bed to sleep in. We arrived late in McCall, and the accommodations, the bed the food, and the cheerful receptionist made our trip all worthwhile. Thank you so much, will be back.
This Best Western is a great place to stay in McCall. It is a little further south of town than the other hotels but worth it. The warm cookies at night are so fresh. The breakfast was amazing. Fresh scrambled eggs, real bacon and sausage and fresh fruit.
The Best Western was a good choice for our travel to McCall. The location was convenient to all activities and dining. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a nice complimentary breakfast every morning. They offered an omelet station as well! The indoor heated pool, hot tub and dry sauna was an added bonus to our skiing and outdoor activities. The hotel was clean and quiet even thought it was booked.
Clean, comfortable, nice pool and Jacuzzi. The breakfast bar was amazing! More items than what a normal continental breakfast offers. They even offered made to order omlettes. I would definitely stay there again.
You are treated like royalty at this place. Everyone is very helpful and it is a clean well kept hotel. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are very enjoyable and relaxing. Nice breakfast too. We love staying here!
Very clean-quite-nice hot tub-great breakfast-very pleasant staff-good parking-very accessible to the town of McCall-good restaurants nearby-clean linens-internet works well-very comfortable beds-custom omelets for breakfast-staff is very sincere about the customer's comfort which makes this a good home away from home when working here in McCall, ID.
This is the third year that we have stayed as a large group in this hotel. They have been very accommodating including opening their breakfast room so our group could eat pizza that was delivered. The Omelet bar is a great addition to the standard breakfast that most Best Western's are famous for. The lobby area offers two different sitting areas. The indoor pool and hot tub are nice and clean. We will return again!
Second time staying at this hotel while on a weekend getaway in McCall. Very nice staff who make things very easy. Breakfast is always very good with a great selection. Room is clean and comfortable. Bed is one of the most comfortable I have been on in a hotel. Some guests were a little noisy late at night with slamming of doors, ect, I guess that is to be expected. Overall, I will continue to stay here when I visit McCall....great value, clean, and comfortable.
Very comfortable and updated rooms. The hot continental breakfast was very nice as was the décor and indoor pool area. The staff was courteous and very helpful and the lobby area was very comfortable with two sitting areas. Stores and restaurants nearby made for a great stay for me and my family.
We stayed for 4 nights with a large group of friends. Had a great time. It's a good take off for all the Snow Parks in the area. They have a delicious free breakfast with Omlette Bar. Free cookies in the evening. Nice lobby with fire place for hanging out. Staff was very friendly.
Have great remarks for our experience for the most part. The toilet ran until we jiggled the handle but as soon as we told them, they were quick to get on it. Comfortable bed and room. The only truly negative aspect to the stay was that the walkway to the side door had dog pee in the snow from the parking lot to the door. The snow was about 2 feet high on either side and about 1/2 of it was yellow and stunk... They need a designated pet area so that everyone doesn't have to walk through and smell dog piss! With that said, we went through the main entrance for the most part and that was our work around. It was great when we did that!
Top notch front desk staff. Awesome breakfast staff. Food was best we have ever had in a hotel. Pet friendly. And treated us very well. A very good security system that actually works. We felt comfortable and safe and slept well. Quiet rooms!
Light bulbs were missing in the lights. a sock was left on the flor from the previous people which tells me they did nit vacuum. there wasn't any soap, shampoo, conditioner or lotion. The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work. I expect a little more for spending $189 a night.
Great service and, rooms and amenities. The staff was amazing at service and attentiveness to the customers. The bed was soooo comfortable as was the rest of the room. They have a wonderful seating area in the lobby with a fireplace that we much enjoyed hanging out with all of our family. The only slightly bad thing that I could say is that the swimming pool was too cold-so that is why I just used the wonderful dry sauna and hot tub!
Property was clean and well maintained. Room was adequate bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very nice had a custom omelet station. Staff was friendly. Just outside downtown not so crowded. Go to the Sushi Bar for dinner!
This is a nice hotel in McCall Idaho. Clean, quite and a good breakfast. The staff was friendly and polit. My first stay I will stay there again when I go to McCall.I like that it a little ways from down town.
The room was clean, quiet, comfortable beds and decent breakfast and friendly staff. Aside from the dogs on the lower floors is was a pretty good visit. The lobby was awesome. For the price I was very happy with the quality.
This is one of my favorite Best Western hotels! Lovely, tastefully decorated front lobby/ reception area with great seasonal scents! Everyone is super friendly and so eager to please. Pet-friendly rooms are fresh and comfortable. Definitely our go-to hotel in McCall.
We had two days to spend in Idaho before visiting our kids in Boise. They recommended McCall for an escape, and we found Best Western. What a fun two days. The motel is spacious and clean, the hot tub is great, the pool fine, the breakfast warm and inviting, the staff friendly. Count me in as a return customer next time we come to see the kids!
We stay her over night a couple of times each year.It is always a pleasant experience, so much so that we are planning to actually come and stay fro a few days instead of just overnight. Conveniently located, spotlessly clean, and staffed by people who want to make sure your stay is a good one.
This was a very relaxing place to stay-the breakfast is great and the personal service we received from the cook was very satisfying. The pool and hot tub were nice and the sauna was relaxing. All areas of the hotel were clean and tidy. I had to park my construction trailer there on site for the full week and felt it was very safe. We are returning to the same hotel to finish our installation of the elevator in the Smith Home.
We stayed here with our dog. Very pleasant room, friendly, helpful staff. The amenities for dogs are below average for hotels in our experience, but our dog coped. The buffet breakfast was outstanding. Good quality food (not always the case, even at Best Western Plus). Omelet custom-made while you wait. We will stay here again.
lovely well run hotel. Great value. Wonderful breakfast. Lovely pool. Very helpful staff , great management. I've stayed elsewhere in McCall but this is definitely the best value. Staff are extremely helpful. Internet is good specially for business travelers.
I live in Boise but am new to Idaho. I had heard good things about McCall and decided to have a trip with overnight stay there. The drive up from Boise is lovely this time of year. I wanted a nice clean place with easy access to the business area and lake. Certainly this property fits the bill. I recommend it.
We took an overnight trip and wanted to bring our dog. The hotel offered pet friendly rooms with a nice grassy area adjacent to where the room was. It was convenient and the room was very clean and comfortable for us and our dog!
This is a nice place, quiet, clean and comfortable. Double sheets on the bed. (An aside - why do motels put these big heavy comforters on the beds? It's not cold in the rooms.) We had an accessible room with two queen beds. I use a scooter to get around and the bathroom was spacious enough for me to ride it into the room. The zero-entry shower was great, maybe a bit small. But I brought my own metal stool to sit on because the slatted seats in those showers are too low if your knees are bad. And the front desk was quick to bring a straight back chair with no arms for me. Breakfasts were great. The usual cereal, yogurt, yummy waffles and a guy making tasty omelets that were stuffed with meat and cheese. Definitely will stay here when I come back.
This facility is removed from the main tourist section of McCall. Easy driving distance but to far for a comfortable walk. Hotel maintenance is "good." Rooms are large and "good+." Common areas are "good." Breakfast is "good." Location is "average." Rates are "average+."
great place- we will be back again! The staff was great, the pool and jacuzzi was clean, the room was clean. My family had a great breakfast also. We really loved the decor of lodge/cabin flair.I dont know what else to say- great place!
The manager recognized and remembered us , we have only stayed here one other time and that was a year ago. They were super friendly and made us feel important. The room was very clean , great internet and the breakfast was AMAZING - The best spread of breakfast items I have seen in a long time and I travel a lot. The kids love the pool, sauna and hot tub
The reception staff were not helpful on our arrival and were very negative on all fronts. We realise that room requests when booking are not guaranteed but you would hope that a booking eight months in advance could be honoured. The hotel itself was clean and well maintained as was the room, although being situated above vending machines made it rather noisy. The breakfast was very good and offered an eggs to order service which is quite unusual. The hard work of most of the staff is undermined by reception.
We received prompt reservations by phone earlier in the day and had our rooms waiting. Greeted with fresh cookies. The rooms and property were clean and comfortable. Fresh made omelets was a good touch. Staff was great. Wish there was a good restaurant within close walking distance.
a friendly staff and very nice property. I would stay here again! The lobby is beautiful and we used it for pictures. Loved the breakfast, is was really nice to have an eggs cooked to order! The staff was very helpful
the greeting staff was very friendly and could joke around. answered all my questions. forgot some stuff at home and they were willing to help. the location was great the place i was working was just a block away.
I was in attendance at a meeting at the hotel. It was an excellent value and it was a very clean and well maintained property. The front desk was also very courteous. The free breakfast even had an omelette bar which were custom made and super delicious. The hot tub felt wonderful and the pool very refreshing. When I first walked in I knew it was going to be a great experience. Fresh hot cookies, coffee and a comfy lobby area with overstuffed chairs.
Beautiful hotel, room was great, and breakfast was excellent. BUT, we traveled for 3 hours to get there and were very tired, and tried to check in 30 minutes early and were not allowed. They didn't even check to see if the room was possibly ready, they just said no. So we had to go drive around for 30 minutes and come back and check in. It was very irritating! But when we checked out, the manager checked us out and she was super nice and friendly.
Great stay and will be back. Love the "lodgy Idaho-Montana look" and the Chocolate Chip cookies on check in was an added plus after an 8 hour drive. The bed was super comfortable and the big-screen tv was great! Wireless internet was easy to connect. Great referance from the staff for a place for dinner "The Mill"--highly suggest it. Look forward to returning again!
