This hotel blocks TV stations that they believe people should not be allowed to watch. They don't have PBS or other mainline channels, I have traveled all over the country and I never encountered a hotel that blocks TV stations they don't agree with.

The property is new and well designed with a large lobby and modern conveniences so one can charge their phones, laptops, tablets. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Many restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute drive. Our room was spotlessly clean with no odors , and fresh crisp sheets on the bed.

We loved this place. We are doing the Lake Superior Circle Tour and this was the nicest hotel we stayed in. We stayed at Best Western's when we could and this was nicest of them, including the Premier one in Sault Ste. Marie. Here the rooms were roomy, and beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable, we had our best sleep of the trip for to the beds and blinds that blocked the sun. They also had gluten free bread at breakfast which was a plus for me.

Brand New. Super Clean. Good Continental Breakfast, nice EV charging stations. We've stayed here 3x. Kids enjoyed the pool. Can get quite pricey for NMU move-in weekend. Beds are SUPER firm, we find them uncomfortable, though some people might like them.

We were traveling with our dog and looking for a nice place to stay. Thankfully, we found this place. It is a very nice, new hotel. They allow dogs, and the fee is fair. Front desk was so nice and helpful. The room was wonderful and it is convenient to downtown.
The rooms are beautiful and sparkling clean, bed is awesome and l LOVE the mural above the bed. Also excellent breakfast with numerous choices including very healthy ones. Josh and Nova are terrific!
Still a “newer” property in Marquette and my first stay. The “suite” I booked is a dubious glass, it was just a king room with a couch. But the bed was comfortable, room was very clean, and furnishings were good. Two room design annoyances; no bedside light that can be turned off while in bed, and the sliding bathroom door. The second is an all too often design choice to be economical, the first is a nest unforgivable design sin and should have reduced to a 3*, but I didn't. Finally, in terms of the room and around the property.. appreciated photos and items from the area, rather than generic artwork that could be anywhere. Other notable pluses are the front desk team, which were polite, highly energetic (my check in team member), and welcoming. Breakfast options were pretty standard for this class of hotel, well stocked, and clean. Also, ample parking.

The rooms are spacious & lovely but bathrooms have sliding barn door style door so not sound proof to others in room. No light by nightstand so have to get up to turn off lights. And Cable not great/hard to navigate. Good light blocking blinds.

I had expected a new comfortable hotel. What I found was a sterile unfriendly space. The bed was uncomfortable-too hard-the breakfast inedible. The front desk unhelpful. Never again will I stay there with so many better options in the area.

Modern lobby and rooms. Ultraclean hotel and grounds. Staff are friendly, happy, and helpful. Hot breakfast food is different each day with the option to make your own waffles. The hotel is on a hill with one side overlooking Marquette. Easy access from M41 and you're only a few minutes from downtown.

Nice hotel, very new. Hotel was clean, rooms were impeccable. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the pool. Was a great selection for the food and coffee was delicious. Staff was so friendly every time we had a question. Lots of food service locations nearby. We traveled with a pet and was reasonably priced. Would stay here again.

We were lucky enough to stay here for our district tournament the end of January. Aimee and her staff made sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. The hotel is new and the rooms are spacious. The breakfast was hot and had many choices to pick from. We would stay here again!

My wife and I love the location of this property. It is close to downtown, many fine restaurants, our ski area at Marquette Mountain, and close to the Jacobetti Home for Disabled Veterans where we like to visit. Made our reservation over the phone with Jessica who set everything up for us, Did not have to do any paperwork when we checked in with Nova at the front desk who gave us a warm welcome and reviewed our stay on a very bitter, cold day in Marquette. Great start to our Stay! Our room was very clean, comfortable, quiet, lots of light, and offered us a nice evening of rest. I must add that these qualities pertain to the rest of the Hotel as well. I did not have time to use the Pool or fitness room, but they are nice also, Breakfast room serves a Hot breakfast and again nicely located with lots of light. I had a chance to give Nicole and Her helper a Big Thank You--Please keep it up! Finally at check out I had a chance to Thank Josh at thee Front Desk to the great value we received at this hotel and to please take care of Our reservation for this coming week---Satisfied Customers Return! Location is convenient to everything. Atmosphere is very nice. It was a very nice room. Clean, everything worked, no issues. I didn't even find any wear and tear. Could not beat the value. We didn't hear any bothersome noise. We did not use the gym or pool, so I can't attest to that. Front desk service was awesome. The staff was great. We weren't sure how long we were going to stay, but Nova took care of everything at check in, and Claire made the continuing reservations completely seamless. And the manager was cool too. We received the typical GREAT U.P. customer service. thank you.

The staff was excellent, very informative, pleasant and quick. The rooms were very clean with a super comfortable bed and pillows. The Tigers playoffs were on that night so we spent a lot of time in the room so I was happy it was so nice. We used the pool and did breakfast in the morning. Breakfast had many options and hit the spot. Would definitely stay there again.

Double charged me for a two night stay that I'd already paid for through booking.com. They Acknowledged that I'd prepaid at arrival and upon calling about the double charge a couple days later they acknowledged that they double charged me, but told me to call my credit company instead of refunding my money to my card. Apparently they're too lazy to get on the phone with their credit processor to figure out how to fix their mistake return the $570 they stole from me.

As we explained during our follow-up conversation, because you had already requested a new card from your bank, the funds may not appear immediately, and you would need to work with your card carrier to confirm when and how the credit is applied. This hotel is my favorite in Michigan. My dachshund strutted in like she owned the place and even the breakfast was good. The hotel was very recently built so everything was new and tastefully done without the usual grungies that one expects at a moderate price point. If you want Fox News at breakfast you might prefer a hotel in Ishpenning.

This is our 3rd trip to Marquette and we've stayed at a different hotel each time. This trip we stayed 3 nights Mon-Thursday. The pros: Brand new hotel Cheaper than staying downtown Excellent front desk staff and housekeeping Great breakfast choices The cons: *Hardest bed I've slept in *4 pillows but all are flat and hard *Room smelled (pets are allowed in any room on floors 1 and 2) *Reading lights are not great for reading and both are shut on or off by the same light switch on the wall. So if 1 person wants to read- both lights stay on. ??? And you have to get out of bed to reach the switch. *No one was keeping breakfast items stocked or cleaning tables (all 3 mornings) I was super excited about this new addition to the Marquette hotels but when it comes right down to it- it's all about a good night's sleep and the quality of the beds and pillows doesn't make me want to return.

Loved this hotel! This is a new hotel (opened Dec 2024), so clean and nicely furnished. Comfortable beds, great TV, beautiful bathroom with nice shower. Located near to everything you need - restaurants and shopping - though not 'walkable,' but a very short drive. Even downtown Michigan is only an easy 5-10 min drive. Would definitely recommend this hotel. You won't be disappointed.
We absolutely loved this Best Western Plus. It is brand new, very clean with comfortable beds, decent towels and a daily breakfast with the usual hot and cold options. It is conveniently located to downtown, as well as Grey Walls Golf course. The desk personnel were friendly and helpful. Two needs improvements: there was no yogurt 2 of the 3 days we were there and the yogurt machine also was not available, once because we were there when the breakfast room first opened and the other , I am not sure, other issue, the lamps near the bed need to be turned on with a switch, resulting in one needing to get out of bed to use them. However we would definitely stay at this property again.
Wonderful news hotel. Completed in December this place still smells brand new. Check in was quick and easy. The person at the front desk was very personable and helpful as were all of the staff we interacted with. Our room was spacious and clean. The bed was very firm and the climate control worked well. If there is any negative I can find is that there were no eggs of any kind on the breakfast buffet. Not a big deal for me, but we did find it odd. Otherwise, this is the place to stay in Marquette. Also it's close to the downtown historical area and numerous very good restaurants.
Great rooms. Great Breakfast. Can't beat this motel for the price. After staying at numerous motels and hotels in the Marquette area, the Best Western Plus in Marquette will definitely be our choice going forward for all travels to Marquette.

The brand new (2025) Best Western Plus in Marquette is the perfect place to stay! My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights for work and have only positive things to say about this hotel and all the staff. The manager, Heather, and front desk Nova, Claire, and Ally were all very knowledgeable about the hotel and the local area, and were all so kind and accommodating. The breakfast choices included dairy- and gluten-free as well as both hot and cold foods and the most delicious coffee options. The pool was the perfect temperature and not over-chlorinated. Exercise room had very nice, quality machines along with weight lifting equipment. Bed was very comfortable and bedding and towels were clean and fresh. Our room had plenty of space with gorgeous nautical decor. The shower has beautiful glass doors and the bathroom amenities were luxurious! I highly recommend Best Western Plus on Wilson in Marquette!

Just book it! As you enter you will love the sleek large open space. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. We also enjoyed a hot beverage from the amazing coffee machine in the lobby. Yummy ! The employees were also top notch from check in to check out. Click. Book. Enjoy!!

We loved our stay! The space was very clean, with friendly staff. Every morning hot breakfast is served, with a variety of options for everyone! The lobby area was also a favorite as it has plenty of space to sit and relax, nice and bright/natural light all over the hotel as well. The kids loved the heated pool. There are business rooms available & a great fitness center that includes a variety of equipment. Highly recommend & we will be back again in the future! - Caitlin B

A super sharp and new hotel, and it impresses from the outside and from moment that you walk in with a great lobby and front desk staff. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean, sharp, and new. The bathroom and the amenities offered were perfect, and the room controls for temperature and lighting was convenient and well thought out. After a great night's sleep I found the breakfast room to also be clean and with a great offering of continental breakfast items. Strongly recommended new property in Marquette, and if you are traveling here make sure that you give this new place a chance to earn your business.

Beautiful hotel! Rooms were clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options. Lobby was bright, sleek, and clean. Hotel staff was wonderful and accommodating! We didn't utilize it, but checked out the pool, which looked nice and family friendly! We will be back! Highly recommend!

Amazing rooms, great staff!! The pool was warm and the kids loved it!! Thank you so much for the great stay!! Breakfast was warm and Robert and Adam were very friendly and helpful and great with the kids!! Big beautiful new hotel I would recommend anytime!!

Stayed at this brand new Best Western Hotel and in Marquette Mi and was blown away as a five star plus. Spacious, Bright, Modern!! Huge bright lobby that subtly extended into the complementary breakfast area with many seating options!! So spread out. Elevators were huge and at each floor a seating area with a view. Rooms were again roomy, bright and comfortable with all amenities !!!! From third floor had a view of Marquette with Lake Superior in the distance! Staff was so friendly and worked to make our stay great. Sooo - give this new Best Western a chance on your next Marquette stay!!! It's a five star plus!

We are in Marquette to visit family and chose this hotel because of location. What a surprise to experience such a beautiful and comfortable hotel. Great beds, eye appealing decor, delicious breakfast and wonderful service. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful new hotel with a room overlooking Lake Superior. We enjoyed everything about our stay until we discovered that all of the facility's television stations are programmed to Fox News. We inquired about access to CNN, MSNBC, etc., and we were informed that those channels are not available nor are they listed on their channel guide. I contacted Best Western's corporate headquarters and inquired about access to alternate news channels, and they said that channel availability is a local hotel decision. With the lack of access to fact-providing news options, we will not patronize this hotel again. If you don't want your only option to be a station that provides fake, divisive-focused news, you should stay elsewhere also! Very disappointed with the hotel's choices!
