"Simply Ridiculous!!"

We booked this hotel a little more than a week from check in date. It was one of the only hotels around with a pool and a hot tub. Upon arrival we noticed both were closed! We paid for a hotel (full price) to have these amenities and was angry to find out they were closed. Told the front desk there was nothing on the web site at the time of booking about it being closed. Had we of known we couldve stayed at the hotel across the street for half the price with a restaurant. The person just kept going about walking around and just said sorry before handing us our keys. Angry as it was we went to our room. Bathroom was filthy, almost stepped on an open safety pin on the floor and tv kept going out. At that point we considered our experience a stay at a VERY overpriced “no tell motel!” Will just pay less for a better hotel next time out. Positive: Good location and breakfast wont blow you away but wont let you starve.

The hotel property looks like a park setting and very relaxing. The pool and jacuzzi were really great after a long road trip. The room neeed a bit of an upgrade. Even though the rooms are non-smoking, our room smelled like someone had smoked in there a week prior. There was a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. The bed was OK but really needed to be replaced. Overall, the hotel was good, the breakfast area was kept well stocked and very clean and tidy. It was very quiet at the hotel location. There is no elevator so you need to carry your bags up to the 2nd floor. All the exterior doors are kept locked so it is a very safe environment. It is located a short distance from the highway. The hotel employees were very helpful and friendly in recommending local restaurants.

I made an unplanned stop in Mansfield and reservations and check in were quick and simple. The price was very reasonable. The room was exceptionally clean. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Paul this morning, took the time to help me find a good place to go hiking & gave me many details I wouldn't have found on-line. He was extremely knowledgeable about the area and gave me good advice. Thank you Paul!

I liked that the room had a microwave and a mini fridge. I wasn't expecting that but it really came in handy when I had left over food from dinner. We stayed there overnight for a wedding that was on Saturday August 18th. The hotel was close to the venue and also close to a lot of restaurants and right off 71. We really enjoyed our stay, and you can't beat the price!

Everything was great. Very clean outside and inside. Breakfast was good. Even the coffee was good. Quiet. Restaurants close by. Rooms are clean. Staff very helpful and pleasant. For us it was the perfect place to stop since everything was so convenient since we had been traveling all day.

I had a great stay at the Best Western. My room was clean, and the front-desk staff was very nice and accommodating (we had a ton of luggage, so they offered to put us on the first floor, close to the door where we parked). I was traveling with my eight-month-old daughter, and this hotel is baby and family-friendly. They had pack n plays and also highchairs at the continental breakfast (which had a ton of choices!). Also, the indoor pool is quite warm making it perfect for little kids. If you're in Mansfield, I definitely recommend this hotel!

The clerk was helpful when we stopped. The pool was indoors and lovely. They also had a working hot tub. We are looking forward to breakfast. It has been a nice quiet stay. I would stay here again if I was in the area.

Great staff! They were very accommodating from the minute we arrived until we checked out. The room was spectacular, and perfectly clean. The room had two beds, which were both clean and comfortable. Also, the hotel gym had great equipment, and the indoor pool was super relaxing! The breakfast buffet had a lot of options, and the food was really fresh. All around pleasant stay at this Best Western in Mansfield, OH!

Fantastic staff. Carried our bags to our room upstairs because we were so tired and they didn't have an elevator. Really went above the call of duty. Gave discounts that I didn't think I had and was sure to set me up for the Best Western rewards card. VER?Y happy with our stay there!

On a recent trip, we stayed at Best Western Inns exclusively and this was no exception for quiet rooms and impeccable cleanliness. The beds are comfortable and the pillows are such that I will be ordering one on line for myself. They are the perfect combination of softness/support. The breakfast is typical for Best Westerns with a variety of offerings that enable getting on the road in a timely fashion. The Inn seemed to be full, but the service and soundproofing created an excellent experience.

Excellent personnel and room!!! From the entering of the Lobby until I checked out, everyone was absolutely wonderful and helpful!!! There was ample parking and lighting in the parking lot. The indoor pool was clean and neat and well maintained!!!

My stay here was pretty basic. The room was clean. Beds were comfortable. No frills. We checked in a few hours early no problem. Noise was not anything out of the ordinary. They allowed us to bring our 2 huskies for a $15 flat rate which was awesome!

Second time we stayed here at this motel. The 2 stars rating are very misleading. The staff is friendly, the rooms are very clean . The king bed is extremely comfortable. Room was quiet. The breakfast was also great and lots of choice. My wife noticed that they also had take out breakfast boxes for those in a hurry. Will be back again when needing overnite when in the area.

Long story short, we were exhausted and needed a place to stay. This BW is right off the interstate, which made for a loud night of truck noise, supplemented by the 20 mph winds whistling through the open space between the windows. The room was drab with a tiny bathroom, no shampoo or conditioner, a super-sensitive tub faucet, no working heater, and a sketchy cable connection which provided very few channels. This is a two-story motel with no elevator, and the interior stairway we used was dirty. It does offer the appliances that are appreciated (fridge, microwave, Keurig, and hair dryer), the beds are queen sized (bonus) and rather comfortable, and the night desk clerk was helpful. Free breakfast was typical but offered two meats, bacon and sausage, which my carnivores enjoyed. It was cheap, but my bottom line - skip it.

The assistant manager was extremely and helpful. I arrived about an hour earlier than check-in but he allowed me to check in anyway. The cleaning staff was a little behind schedule since they had had an influx of travelers the night before due to snow. Because of that, the asst. manager vacuumed my room himself so that I could check in early. The room was clean and staff friendly. Breakfast was good. Good value for the price.

We were there without reservation and we were very well greeted. The attendant was very informative and found a very convenient room. Rooms very clean and comfortables. Breakfast was also very good . The only negative point is the fact that breakfast start at 6:30 AM which is too late for travellers who have a long road to go.

Traveling home from Niagara Falls. The 2 staff (1 when checking in and 1 when checking out) were friendly enough. In the room the light switch at door did not work the bathroom is small. Had trouble with hot water (very little hot water) took a lukewarm shower after letting water run for 10 minuets to get hot , gave up This was at 6am so not a lot of people taking showers which was what what was told by staff when I mentioned it upon checking out. The room was clean enough but the couch had stains on it. Didn't eat breakfast there so no comment on that.

The room was comfortable. The beds were very firm. The room was clean. Breakfast served hot and cold foods. The coffee was the new instant which I personally do not consider coffee. Could not drink the stuff. Otherwise, breakfast was good.

I would recommend this location to my friends Restaurants were easily accessed from this location. I found myself close to a local Walmart which was very helpful at one time I had to make a run to Walmart on Thanksgiving Night It was nice that the store was close to the hotel.

We travelled to Ohio to tour OSR and this hotel was one of the closest to OSR. The hotel was very clean, comfortable, amenities were nice, Keurig coffee machines in the rooms, the pool area was very clean and nice. Totally would stay here again. The staff was excellent.

I have discovered that the BW brand has really been updated! The bedding has been updated and is extremely comfortable. The room accessories include lots of plug ins and USB ports. Unfortunately, this hotel has not been updated totally. The bed had nice bedding, but the bed was still old. I missed the USBs; the lamps had the old computer connection.

We had made a reservation prior to our visit. We arrived at about 1am, exhausted from our drive. The first room we were put in as soon as we walked in smelled of smoke. We went down and had our room exchanged. The second room we were put in the door barely locked. At that point we were too tired from our trip to even say anything. The woman at the front desk was very helpful throughout our visit. Also the breakfast was nice as well.

We stayed at this hotel while touring through the area and for the price it is worth it. The room was very clean and large enough to not feel cramped. The bathroom is a little small but not unbearable. The staff is very kind and helpful with any questions or concerns that we had. There is also laundry there that is cheaper than most hotels I've stayed at. Overall not a bad hotel for the price.

My wife and I stopped at this hotel while traveling and found it to be just right for a quick rest stop. Our room with a king bed was clean and comfortable. It was equipped with the usual mini-fridge and microwave. There was a Keurig coffeemaker in the room as well. The breakfast included hot potato chunks, sausage patties and egg white rounds. There was also a waffle maker and the usual continental breakfast items.

I stopped here because I was too tired to drive further. The staff was very friendly. The only two problems I had were both minor. The lamp on the desk didn't work, and someone had unplugged the refrigerator. If that is the worst thing to happen at a hotel, then you're in good shape. I've stayed at OTHER hotels where upon check in I had to have them come change the bedding because it was obvious it had not been changed. This particular hotel though, was VERY CLEAN! I didn't have to worry about contracting something from sleeping in the bed. Great job guys!

Had a nice room with few problems. A bit of routine maintenance is needed,ie: all doors need lubed so latches work smoothly, including room doors, hallway exit doors and outside exit doors. Sink drains need drain cleaner---drain slowly!!!- Hot water must come from Cleveland, my early morning shower was cold and no hot water 'till nearly done. Was in office 3 times trying to find clerk----must be napping! Otherwise, room was clean and nicely done, breakfast good, warm, but nothing special. Would stay again if in the area.

Seems like this place is hit or miss on the experience at this hotel. I booked here as party of a wedding party hoping to stay with or near the rest of the group. Sadly that did not work out. The first room I checked into smell like cigarette smoke. I didn't want to sleep in that or go to the wedding the next day with my dress or the brides smelling like that. On to my second room. I was trying to get comfy in this new room only to see a medium size bug crawl up the curtain. Figured I'd go kill it only to see that there were at least 4 more up under the valence. I asked for hold to be taken off my credit card as I would not be staying there. At the desk as I was checking out, they assured me they were likely only stink bugs, but that didn't really matter what they were. I guess maybe just cross your fingers here that you get the good experience that some other people have had.

We stayed at this motel on 28 Sep 2017. When using the hand towels to dry my face I almost scratched myself - the towels were not soft at all - rather they were like sandpaper. The next morning before we left I tried to use the Keurig Coffee Pot but it would not turn on - it was broken.

The Manager, Paul, was very helpful and other staff also friendly. Good spa and indoor pool, and better than average motel breakfast. The motel is not new, but was clean, well-maintained, and just fine for our overnight stay. And the room rate was reasonable too..

Wow a wonderful place to stay !! We arrived late in the night due to road construction and slow traffic, the desk staff was so nice and even provided a mid-night snack since we hadn't ate that evening, room was spotless, breakfast was OUTSTANDING, hot coffee is always available. If you like spending $500 per night, this place is not for you. I count on Best Western to have nice places to stay without over spending. This Best Western did not disappoint. The room was nice and the beds were very comfortable. As this Best Western is in a great location for our trip to Indianapolis, we will be staying here every time we go.

This hotel was great! It was a comfortable stay, a nice and quiet area, and the best customer service. My family was treated with respect and received great service here. An employee, Bobbie, made our stay even better. She went out of her way to help us coordinate a surprise for a family member's birthday. Bobbie worked endlessly with a great, positive attitude!

Checked in by friendly staff. Room was clean-ish...looked like lamps and headboards had not been dusted in months. King bed wasn't great, but we've slept in much worse. Shower and toilet area very small. The shampoo, soap and hair dryer provided in room was a joke.

Room was clean and updated. Bathroom shower was not working correctly. Light switch at entry was not working, had to walk into a dark room each night. Guests were all roomed next to each other even though hardly anyone was staying there instead of spreading out-resulted in a concentration of noise in one area. First morning breakfast was wiped out by 8:30am. Second day had more options. AC has a fan option which runs all night, which greatly helped me sleep and is non-existent any other hotel I have stayed at. AC ran cold. Fridge was very cold and clean. Microwave clean. The cleaners that the maids use leaves surfaces sticky, floors in lobby, floors in room, counters, dresser tops and desk all sticky. WiFi was barely usable which was disappointing since I was there to look at property and needed access to pictures and maps online. Staff was no help in fixing issue. Weekday rate of $60/night was excellent and is why I rated it Average even though there were some issues. If the room had been $80+ I would have rated the stay lower.

Traveling back home from Southern Illinois and stopped at BW in Mansfield. Late arrival but they kept our ground floor reservations. Staff very polite, cheerful and helpful. Room was large, clean and comfortable. Amenities in bathroom not as good as BW Preferred but good enough. Breakfast had bacon, sausage rounds, biscuits and gravy, toast, bagels, cereals, muffins, juice, coffee, yogurts, etc. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to our friends. Only complaint is WiFi, somewhat reliable.

Clean, convenient hotel near the interstate. Great pool area and outdoor seating for relaxing. Many choices at the breakfast area, both hot and cold. Close to restaurants and near a Walmart for those forgotten items. Staff was very accommodating.

My friends and I stay here on our way back to Ontario. We found the air conditioning insufficient, the beds were noisy and the mattress hard as a rock, thank god we were only staying one night. They advertise pool and whirlpool, however, these were both out of order. Breakfast area did not contain a sink so any leftover tea/coffee or milk had to be put into the garbage container. On checking out I mentioned the air conditioning issue and the bed issue, however, the staff did not seem to care...we were leaving, they had their money. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

While not outstanding, this hotel does offer adequate lodging services. During our stay, several maintenance projects seemed underway (roof repair, A/C replacements, hot tub repainted), so the aesthetics of the place seemed a little off. Hotel is located conveniently near Walmart and some restaurants.

First off, I booked this hotel because it had a hot tub and pool. Upon check-in the hot tub was out of order. After driving 8+ hours all we wanted to do was relax in the hot tub for a bit. When I asked about it, I received a very insincere "sorry about that" and didn't offer anything. When looking at pictures online before booking, it is deceiving...this hotel is RIGHT next to a very busy highway-the pictures make it appear to have the outdoor patio next to a grassy area. The room was fairly clean, however, our remote didn't work to the tv. After visiting the front desk 2 times for it, it finally worked a bit better. They replaced the batteries twice. The breakfast is your typical hotel breakfast, nothing spectacular, and they were out of cranberry juice both days we came down for breakfast. The hotel had no food in the vending machines, and very limited parking. One good thing about this Best Western was the pillows and bed-both were very comfortable. I wouldn't stay here again, only because managements lackluster attitude and not being about to do any form of compensation in regards to hot tub, due to us booking through a third party. Their customer service has a lot of room for improvement, in my opinion.

It very unfortunate that the hot tub was out of order it was totally out of our control . we try hard to have hot tub and pool operational especially during the summer season. Our staff however is very friendly and courteous and go above and beyond to accommodate our guest . I do hope you change your mind and give us another chance . The hotel sets the furthest away from the highway but has easy access to the interstate . we do have a patio area right off the pool that is good for relaxing . Hot tub and pool are open and running now . Breakfast has many options hot and cold and a lot more than a lot of hotels but thanks for your review and hope to see you again. .

Its always very clean quiet and the employees are so friendly, polite and welcoming breakfast was absolutely amazing they have such a great variety of food. There pool is fairly big and clean the Jacuzzi was down for remodeling. Amazing place to relax!

I called and confirmed my reservation and confirmed by email. The staff canceled my reservation on July 13 for some unknown reason. I was informed of this when I went to register. I found it very unusual that I would get a voicemail asking me if I still wanted my reservation. This voicemail was left in June.

This hotel is convenient to Mid Ohio Racetrack which is why we chose it. It had most of the features we want - king bed, working A/C, fairly large sink, working shower. They have wifi but it wasn't very strong. The breakfast opens at 6:30 but we had to leave earlier than that each day, so they opened it early - very nice. The phone in our room didn't work, so they replaced. The furnishings look fairly worn. There is no elevator.

The rooms were nice and clean but I don't think it was worth what we paid. We didn't use the pool which did look nice. Skip the breakfast. I stayed safe with a bagel and cream cheese but even the coffee wasn't good. We decided on our second day to skip the free breakfast and go somewhere else. Staff was nice.

The room was clean. The bed frame was very squeaky. We noticed this as soon as we sat down on the bed. The breakfast left a lot to be desired,incliding the coffee, which I was looking forward to for our drive home. I'd stay here again, but only because of convenience.

The hotel was ok. The rooms were clean up the hotel needed some updates. There was no elevator and the hallways seemed dark. The bathroom was small. The pool area was nice and the staff was friendly. Some of the other guest at the hotel were concerning on this stay. The price was great but I would have payed more for a better experience.

Stayed here after some racing at the Mansfield Speedway. Easy to find and price was right. Lady at the front desk could have been a tad friendlier, but no big deal. Overall the facility seems OK, but what amazed me was the amount of dust on the lights, alarm clock, and tables in the room. They could not have been dusted for at least two months. You would think if they clean the rooms every day someone could try to dust and make the room a little more presentable. With a little more TLC I would have given a higher rating, but if this is the best they can clean, then this is the best rating I can give.

Excellent location, right off the highway. The room was clean although set up somewhat oddly. The sink was by the door, not in the bathroom. The free breakfast was very nice. My only complaint would be that if your room is accessible through entrance #1, you have to pass by a cigarette /trash receptacle that is literally 1 foot from the door and was overflowing. As a non-smoker, the smell turned my stomach - I couldn't get through the door fast enough!

The only reason I didn't rate a 5 is because I didn't take the time to use the pool or spa an didn't have time for breakfast because I overslept. Over all tho, the hotel was very nice an the room I had was very clean. Extremely comfortable bed an was very quiet. Plenty of hot water for those of you that enjoy a hot morning shower to get your day started. Staff was very friendly. I will stay at this location again if back in the area.

The hotel is well situated off the highway near a Walmart Supercenter. The rooms are cozy if a little outdated. They were clean and comfortable though. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. The service here is what makes the hotel special.

Customer Service not the best. Priceline was deceiving regarding my reservation and when I brought that to the receptionist he turned to us and said we had booked it with Priceline and there was nothing he could do. Not the answer a customer is really expecting....

the owner needs to spend some money on improving the security and update the hotel. The security doors did not work, which would allow anyone into the hotel even if they were not registered guests. Please follow up with the owner to get these issues fixed.

A nice average hotel with an indoor pool and hot tub for a good price. The breakfast was nice as well. It also has a Keurig in the room and a safe, but the safe did not work. We have family in the area and usually stay there when we go to visit, unfortunately this time it was for a funeral. I'm sure we will use this hotel again in the future.

We drive from Midwest to East Coast a lot, and have stayed in this hotel for years, even before it was bought by Best Western. When the kids were young, it was one of their favorite spots because of the pool. You can see in the pictures that it's not your standard little slot pool but a generous domed space. It was a joy to sit and watch the kids splash about. And they had microwaves and fridges in the room, another necessity when traveling with kids. Need I say it was clean? Not a fancy hotel, but makes a great overnight.

Very comfortable stay. Staff were welcoming and accommodating. They offer filtered water in the lobby which was much appreciated! We had a great sleep on the King sized bed. There was fridge in the room for our snacks! The fire alarm went off and was handled quickly and professionally by the staff. The laundry facilities were accessible and cheap. We were able to wash our clothes efficiently while on the road. We were especially appreciative of the fast wifi and side access to the building. It made getting our luggage to the var much easier. It is located just off the highway, making it very easily accessible.

Our rooms TV remote, safe, and phone did not work. I didn't report my issues since the staff took over 20 minutes to even show up at the counter to check us in and had a terrible attitude. Most guests staying there are very noisy. I'm very laid back, but good luck LOL

We stayed here because of the ratings and it didn't let us down. It was very clean, the staff were great, and the breakfast was very adequate. There were several good restaurants in the area and we found a very good Mexican on across the street. Check out was very fast and the internet worked very well in the room. The hotel is in a very good location for getting on and off the interstate and the area was very quiet at night.

My wife and I stay here when we just want to get away for awhile. The price, on the off season is reasonable, and we are still near enough to home, should an emergency arise. This time, we splurged and got the suite with the hot tub, which has a balcony that overlooks the pool and was nice. Everything was fine, with the exception of an alarm clock that didn't work, which was promptly replaced. We will definitely stay here again.

This was a pleasant surprise, the breakfast option included a small cheese omlet which was quite tasty. Since we try to stay organic the small option as the next best thing. This location was just right for an after work start to a 750 mile trip. The next hotel we considered was $30 higher and not pet friendly (always a must.

This is a very clean hotel and the room was nice and large. It is also a quite place to stay as we were able to get a good nice sleep. The food was great to have the small potatoes with the gravy as we had been traveling for over a week and the other hotel had the same food in the morning. We were able to get the local paper which was nice to see their town before we left. The hotel was quite and well lite.

We had challenges with exterior noisy guests, but that was not the hotel's fault. Their service and tips for where to eat were great while we were there, but the next day they really went above and beyond to be sure that something we left behind would be sent on to us by UPS (our expense, but their time to get the item to UPS). We were on the road by 5 a.m, at departure so did not sample their breakfast fare, but would highly recommend the staff who served us including Jenn who received our call after we were on the road the next day.

Well for starters we get there to check in and the staff is having an apparent disagreement. The lady you could tell was very peed off. The beds were hard as bricks and the pillows sucked. It is a very OLD motel which is in need of some very much needed remodeling. Get rid of that nasty carpet put down some hard wood floors easy to keep clean. They need to get some new beds and pillows. And the Breakfast if you want to call it that. If you are not the first one in line to get breakfast don't plan on getting anything hot but maybe a waffle. They didn't replenish the breakfast area. We had to ask for some COLD milk. I mean really come on you call this good service. The front desk clerks were not friendly.

"Remodeling problems"

They are remodeling this facility. I entered the room and turned on the light, but it didn't come on, so while slowly walking to bedside stand to turn on that light, i tripped on an electric cord. after light came on, we saw it was the refrigerator that had been pulled into the middle of the room, but left plugged in. we went back to front desk, were assigned another room (2 doors down), and when we entered this room, the microwave was on the bed. Again, back to the front desk. The lady said that they were painting and had moved items away from the walls, but lack of communication between the contractors and management seemed to be the problem here. We ended up staying in the second room and moved the microwave to cabinet. We were awarded points for our situation and the manager apologized the next day when we checked out. Breakfast was ok. Didn't use the pool. Would stay again as facility was ok and it is about 1/2 way to a destination we go to at least twice/year. There is no elevator in this hotel. The poor maids have to pull the big laundry bins up and down the stairs. They could at least put in a laundry chute to toss down the dirty stuff and a dumb waiter to get the heavy linens upstairs.

I paid extra for the amenities. I have always had great experiences with Best Western, however I was incredibly disappointed with the breakfast (not many options and not well attended, so things ran out) and the fitness room was dirty and both cardio machines were broken. However, my room was comfortable. If I had gone with another hotel, I would have paid less and would have gotten the same service.

I am talking with our front desk staff on how to turn on the machines which was a simple magnet that is used and placed on the machine to turn on. We recently had a fire in the fitness center and had to use our extinguisher which caused a bad residue on all of our items. It has been cleaned multiple times and we are still having trouble with the residue from it. But, I do apologize for the inconvenience and will look into cleaning the machines better. I was told I would have a QUIET room. I was placed directly above the entrance, next to the stairs, next to every room on the floor whose door slammed. When asked for another room, I was told they were booked for the week. Keep in mind I made my reservation 6 months in advance.

While checking in, they have to change our rooms 4 times, we even came to room when someone was laying on the bed ??. Never seen white towels in this shade of grey and pillows for infants. This is 2016 and not 1816. Don't have anything positive to say about this place. Room smells horrible, walls dirty, shower in hair. Sickening Traveling a lot and seen this bad for the first time.

I stay at a lot of Best Western motels but this one was better than most. Room was extra clean, and had several amenities that are not offered in other Best Westerns such as a Kurig Coffee Maker, decent TV, clean bathroom, etc.. If I was in the area again, I would stay here.

This was the second time staying in this hotel when in town to visit family who live in the area. It is a nice hotel for the price, with internet, a Keurig, microwave and frig. in the room. Breakfast was ok. They have a very nice indoor pool and hot tub which we enjoyed on our first trip. We probably will stay there the next time we are in town!

The service was much different a yr ago when I stayed at that property. I had to ask for Kleenex in the room, there was no shampoo and the second day, the internet did not work. I needed internet for work purposes. Also, trying to get a room rented was also a adventure. The first time I called, the phone rang at least 15 times until someone answered and she said to call back. She was the only one on duty and was extremely busy. Then no one answered. After trying 3 or 4 more times, I got an answer. But by then, the price of the hotel room went up $10 from night until the next morning. The original price was honored, but the service, things in the room (shampoo and kleenex had to be asked for) as well as the food was not quite up to what it was last yr. I like the location of the property, but the above mentioned items will make me think twice before renting a room again next yr. I just want to be honest. I am in business, too, and want to know those kinds to things when my customer is not satisfied.

stay was great(what I expect from Best Western), except for the A?C. I could have asked for another room, but was too tired to mess with it. I am just in the habit of everything being 100% at your facilities and that night it wasn't. The dripping tub faucet was no big deal, just has to shut the door. I am not a complainer but when you pay $107.00 for a room you expect more.

It's about average for a 2/3 star hotel - nothing new than has already been posted. Front desk help was great. Room is clean (see pics for 228) - shower head was tall enough for 6'2" frame. Only reason I won't give it a 4 star is because the bed needs to be replaced. Just sitting on the bed told me what kind of night was in store - ditto on the pillows. Has a fridge/microwave/safe - usual amenities. One last thing - you WILL hear all of the rude families with their loud children running up and down the halls and slamming doors - thin walls. (PLEASE - if you are reading this, and you have small children... Keep them quiet in the hallway - we CAN hear you!!). Average stay.

Check in involved a lot of waiting although we were in a line of only 3 people. No elevator to our second story room. On the plus side, our room was quite clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well. Breakfast not so good. They have a very nice area for breakfast but the selection was so so. They have some sort of coffee server that was serving brown water and although the staff was informed several times, there was still no coffee after 20 minutes or more. We ended up at Panera.

Our check ins are usually very fast and our staff is very friendly and our hotel is always clean quite and comfortable we do have a Great selection of breakfast food sausage eggs bacon potatoes gravy and biscuits , and danishes toast juices milk cereal just to name a few for free , so thanks for noticing and our coffee is always fresh and hot .. but thanks for the feedback we will work harder for you and fix any issue so thanks for your feedback ..hope to see you again in the future

We stayed four nights at this hotel because of a family wedding in the area. It got good reviews on TripAdvisor and I'm a platinum rewards member which was the reason for our choice. The hotel is conveniently located off the highway and it's easy to get around the area from there. The staff was very friendly from check-in to check-out. The room was clean and comfortable although the lighting could be better. No problems with the Wi-Fi. The breakfast was adequate and comparable other hotels in this price range.

Overdue for new carpets, maintenance throughout, updated beds and room decor, and new bleach for the sheets. If you are traveling with a dog, you have less choices, but this is the worst BW I have ever stayed at.

Extremely pleased with this hotel! The room was great. Comfortable beds, great pillows, great cable TV. Breakfast was really good. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I give this hotel 2 thumbs up!

The check-in was ok, but he did not tell me the location of the room, so I had to move my car twice. The room was not clean, I opened a towel and a spider fell out on the sink. My wife opened the drawer to put away some items, and there was 9 bottles of medicine and a test kit, 2 needles. I took all of this to the front and the clerk said were these in your room? She the customer called looking for these items, she sent someone to the room and they said nothing was there. I said if they would have opened a drawer it would have bit them. That shows how well they clean. The breakfast was the worst I ever seen. There were 2 bagels and no cream cheese, the eggs were cold, there was no juice, there were 2 slices of bacon. The floor was so sticky I lost a flip flop. I said something to the front desk and she said they were so busy they having a hard time keeping up.

This hotel is dog and cat friendly hotel with a good breakfast and nice pool. Nice large grassy area surrounds the hotel which makes walking the pups easy. The hotel is only two stories and has many exits. The best part of the hotel was how quiet the rooms were. I would recommend this hotel as a good pet-friendly hotel to anyone traveling with a dog or cat.

My Mom and I were on a road-trip to Nashville and this was our stop on the way. The rooms were clean and beds very comfortable. Check-in and out was very fast with no waiting. We were close to several restaurants The only thing I would recommend is that the coffee be a bit stronger!

This property served the purpose of a good night's sleep close to I-71. The room was clean and quiet, but was also a drab and dark place. The lighting was really bad - only a few lights with very low wattage bulbs. The furniture was marred with "wounds" from years of use. The electrical outlet for the a/c had no cover on it - a safety no-no I would think. Anyhow the price was right so I can't complain too much. Breakfast was satisfactory.

my family was racially profiled by the entire staff, We were accused of something illegal, even though they knew it was the folks down the hall from us, the staff still insisted it was us, until we invite them yes it about 4-5 staff members than came into our room to investigate and found nothing, yes that's right nothing, which was very upsetting, they were looking through our room like the police. Very disappointed and felt uncomfortable with the entire situation.

I usually don't write bad reviews... But this place is a hot mess. For starters, the only rooms left were on the second floor with no elevator. Being disabled, this made bringing luggage to the room was crazy hard. The room we got had no working light as you enter the room, then we go to turn on AC, knobs are missing. Finally get it on and it doesn't work. It was hot in the room hot in the hall and thunderstorms as I was bringing in luggage. Everything was really outdated in the room...AC unit looked like it was from 1985. We were driving home from Austin Texas from a 2 week road trip. This by far was the worst hotel/motel we've been in. Shocking for a Best Western. Staff was nice as they had to help others find different rooms with working AC.

Room was filthy, Childs pair of socks on the floor (not under anything.., just right out where we saw them within seconds of entering the room), Hot water was close to non existent (2nd year in a row), Someone rewrote their pet policy they make you sign when you go there and they and this document are FAR from Pet friendly! Also sounded like folks were letting kids run the hallways all night above us. And when we went to check out of our prepaid room - desk clerk wanted to charge us again - and couldn't figure out the charges etc. She did clear it up after we left - hopefully. But I will certainly be looking closely at my CC statement! We will stay elsewhere next year when we got to Mansfield.

This Best Western was a very nice stop after a long travel day. We were happy to see that there was a pool and people were enjoying it. Breakfast was OK. Eggs were not well prepared and the gravy for the biscuits was not very hot, but all in all, it satisfied us.

Stayed April 25, 2016. Easy access from interstate. Very comfortable place to stay. We stayed one night while travelling 4 days on our way home from Arizona. Hotel was quiet, rooms were clean and well equipped. Hotel has an indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast had a good selection and it wasn't busy at this time of year. We were very satisfied and would stay at this location again.

Nice enough facility, comfortable rooms, friendly and efficient staff (arrival). The early morning staff however leaves much to be desired. We had a question about the room charge and was assured of the rate. Upon leaving we noticed the bill was more than what we had signed for. After explaining to the girl at the front desk about our conversation upon arrival she pulled the original paperwork from a folder and quickly said, "the sum of what you signed for equals exactly what you're being charged." Quick addition in my head told me she was clearly wrong and just couldn't be bothered. I asked her to add it up to which she did and agreed the amounts differed. She indicated that the night person made an error but she was unable to correct it. She took the paperwork while we grabbed a bite to eat. When we went back to see if things had been adjusted but she was nowhere to be found and hadn't even passed the info on to the incoming personnel. They, much to our satisfaction, listened to our concern, researched the matter, and took care of the discrepancy. Having said all that I would stay here again but I will check the bill closely.

Checked in with my husband and 8 year old daughter after a long day of driving. Jen, the desk clerk, was very nice..after that it was down hill. Entered via an unsecured side door that was propped open with a garbage can. Walked into a hall that smelled of vomit, took stairs (no elevator ) to our room down a long dank corridor where we heard people fighting in one room and having loud sex next to ours. Entered the dark room to find the light switch broken and bed sheets with cigarette burns in them. Linens were stained, door jams broken, picture frames broken, light switch plates broken.... Decided this wasn't our type of place. Checked out. Jen was nice and apologetic, glad we got out of there. As we were leaving there were people smoking and drinking beer near the exit door. No thanks. Went across the way to La Quinta....much better!

Our group of 32 rooms had a very nice overnight stay. The check in and check out was smooth largely because interim manager Lori paid attention to detail and gave terrific customer service. The rooms were clean and comfortable and I didn't receive one complaint from my group. There's a Walmart within walking distance. Breakfast was good. Hope we have occasion to use this Best Western again.

My wife and I stayed in room 104, which has a king bed, sleeper sofa, desk, TV, microwave, mini fridge and shower. Of course there is free WiFi, free breakfast and a heated pool with a large hot tub that we fully took advantage of. Well, at least the hot tub as even though the pool is heated, its still too cold for us Floridians. The hotel was very clean and great access off I71 or SR 13. It's located very close to Malabar State Park, Mt Geeze which is a must see in fall and Mohican State Park. Just a few yards away is a Walmart, gas stations and tons of restaurants. Just a few miles away is the blueberry patch, Downtown Mansfield and Ontario (the shopping and entertainment area) and fairly close to Loudonville where you can rent canoes on the river during the summer. All these things are must see at all times of the year for the most part. The maple syrup festival at Malabar is one of my favorite events the first and second weekend of March (as I'm a Mansfield native). Snow Trails Ski resort is right down the road and this hotel is still situated within an hour of most of central and northern Ohio, the ski resorts North of here, Lake Erie and Amish County. Lexington is just down the road where there is a go kart/putt putt/batting cages/bar and grill (used to work there for 7 years as a first job) and Mid Ohio Speedway in Lexington as well. There is literally hundreds of different things you can do from this central point, including going to Columbus, Easton and Polaris an hour south. This is the best place to stay if you want access to tons of activities and anywhere you go is going to be a half tank of gas there and back (based on a 2014 Silverado) The hotel staff is great, amazing in fact who are customer service focused. We stopped in as a walk in after an unexpected business trip not making a reservation and were given a great rate, just as booking online or better since we booked for 10 nights. I don't have anything negative to say about this hotel, especially at the rate we were given. You won't find anything better around for the price. Don't think twice about staying here, extend your stay and enjoy all the offerings within a 1 hour radius, or simply stay a night during the winter and enjoy the pool with your family or friends.

When we visited we didn't really know what to expect but it turned out really great. We stayed there for a weekend and really got to know a manager. She was really nice and treated us like family, most of the staff actually treated us with respect and helped us with anything we needed. The breakfast was a huge surprise because it had so much more to offer than we were expecting. The only problem was that they close the pool area early and breakfast gets put away early. It is right by a few restaurants and a Walmart. They allow you to call and have food delivered and they also provide you with a few travel packets in the lobby and some food delivery menus.

The rooms were nice. The ice machine doesn't work unless you stick your hand up it's hole to wiggle the ice out! ?? The vending machine was broken as was the washing machine. The air conditioner doesn't go below 60 (if you like it cold, you're out of luck)!

My boyfriend and I stayed here a couple nights ago. It was a last minute decision just wanting to get away to relax a bit. We stayed in the king whirlpool suite and got exactly what we went for. The whirlpool tub was relaxing. It was a week night so there wasn't much noise. The hotel is away from the other hotels and restaurants in the area so it's easier to find quiet time. Front desk was helpful, quick and easy check in. Check out was easy,was able to call from the room to check out instead of having to go all the way to the front desk. I will definitely return to this one.

pet friendly! clean rooms. I stayed in 2 La Quintas on a recent trip because they were pet friendly. After the 2nd dirty room I gave up and found out that Best Westerns are pet friendly too. This place was nice for the price.

we stopped here tired after a very snowy drive from Buffalo, NY on the way out west. It was late. We had our two dogs with us. And did I say we were tired. We are Best Western Platinum member so we try to use them when we can. Immediately on walking it I was greeted by a horribly strong scent from the plug in Air-Wyks that should be illegal. My family gets bad headaches from strong scents as well as allergies. I asked the very nice young man, I wish I had written his name down, about the smell and he said they were just changed today and were not in the rooms, just hallways. He quickly removed he one near the room we were going to look at. This made the room acceptable and cleared the hallway smell near to us. The room was clean, pleasant, TV and Wi-Fi worked. The bed was comfortable. The price was good for the area. There was a nice breakfast the next morning. Staff was helpful and friendly. We would go here again if in the area.

This hotel should not be considered a Best Western. The room we stayed in never should have been rented to us. Tub faucet not attached, no blanket on bed, sink faucet leaked and drain stem not attached. Hotel smelled and hallways were lined with plug-in air freshners, covering up a deeper, unknown smell.

The perfect stay. Indoor pool that is warm. Hot tub that is toasty and well-jetted. Breakfast that sets the bar real high for other chains. Top-notch brands and extra toppings and sauces for eggs oatmeal etc. So much attention to detail here. You will be so pleased to stay here as my family and I were.

Friendly Attentive staff... extra towels and blankets and for any issues you may have, They do have a fake "covering of odor" smell in the hallways, but the rooms are great! Equipped with a keurig coffee maker, microwave, large refrigerator for hotels, and nice flat screen and working internet. The beds, a bit firm, but got a good night's rest. Also have full breakfast, much variety. Bacon was a bit undercooked, but microwave provided. Pool and jacuzzi area looked clean, but never got a chance to use it. Will definately stay here again, since value and service more than made up for anything needed! The cost was at least 15-20% less than those in the area with similar amenities.

While traveling from Western New York to Alabama weather caused me & others to make an unscheduled stop. As a walk-in without reservations the chance for an available room can be slim. I was fortunate to find a room available at a reasonable price. The KING bed was so comfortable that it was difficult to get up in the morning and continue on my journey. The room was clean & fresh met every need. The "Keurig" coffee machine in the room was an added treat as it allows you to use your own coffee if you have it with you and I did. The breakfast bar and Express Checkout made it easy to enjoy a good morning meal and be on my way quickly. All of the staff was friendly and courteous.

I have stayed in Best Western places before and found them extremely good. This one, although good was in my opinion a little rough around the edges. Some of the fine touches around the sink such as the caulking between the wall and the sink, was not as neat as would be expected. Their rates are always higher than other motel/hotels so you would expect a better bang for the buck. The staff was friendly and my room was quiet. I was able to get a main floor room, non smoking so was overall pleased with my stay.

I stayed at this hotel on my way to Mentor as I had friends who lived nearby. The hotel was older and in need of a few updates, especially to the bathroom. However, I must say that the room and public areas were very clean. The towels and washcloths were really showing the age and were not very soft, the shower had a very basic shower head and had the old straight bar shower curtain. It was adequate, especially for a one night travel through stay. I did experience a maintenance issue or two which I reported at checkout and the clerk made a satisfactory adjustment to my bill, which I did not expect.

Went to this part of Ohio for the scenic view of Southern Ohio! We love the area and also have friends down here to visit. Everytime we come down here, we always book this hotel! We love the pool and the hot tub! The hot tub is amazing and very relaxing! I would recommend this hotel to all my friends! Plus there is also all kinds of things to do in the area close by. The rooms are clean! The breakfast was wonderful! Couldn't have had a better time anywhere else! Will definitely come back again!!!

We were not happy at all with our stay. Luckily we booked for one night only. We read the reviews and thought it would be fine as we were heading home and needed a place to stay for the night. My first impression was bad. Plant in front not attended to. The glass windows were dirty. The computer area was dusty and unkept. The glass case that housed snacks for sale was dirty and a dead bug was inside the case. Our room was dated. The bathroom was not up to date, but I thought it was clean but the towels appeared yellowed and so did the sheets and pillow cases. Honestly, I was not sure about the cleaniness of our bedding. I noticed that the meeting room had curtains hanging in disarray. One of the worst motels that I have ever stayed in. I am giving this review so that whoever is the manager will take a good look at this. The food for breakfast was ok, but honestly, I was afraid to eat it because I felt that it was an unclean area. Did not feel comfortable at all. I do not recommend this motel at all. It is fine that it was dated but there is no reason for uncleaniness and poor upkeep.

The staff at the hotel is extremely nice, courteous and friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The woman in charge of the breakfast does a wonderful job. A nice feature is the Keurig coffee maker in the room.

Changed our route home from Florida because hotels around Pittsburg were very expensive. This was affordable. Appeared clean when we came into the room, but discovered a bandaid under one of the pillows on the bed. Beautiful pool area but the water temp. was cold. Warmed up in the hot tub. Good breakfast and pleasant staff.

If you have a disability, you will not be happy with the accommodations. Small rooms make it hard to move about,especially in a wheelchair. The breakfast is your below average hotel one but the items are so high you would need a reacher from a wheelchair to eat. Also, no help from the kitchen staff. They just look and say nothing. Luckily, a nice man got me breakfast for me. The wheelchair bathroom had no place to place your soap or shampoo when in the shower plus a dangerous lip could cause you to tilt back and fall out of your chair. Small spacing in the room made it difficult to get to one side of the room.The space between the end of the bed and dresser was very narrow. Anyway, they should gut it and do a makeover. I would never stay there again especially when there are better hotels within a few blocks.

Yes unfortunately I would have to agree that our rooms are on the small side but do meet the ADA requirements of clearance. Our breakfast room we have been making changes to, but we do offer a wide variety of selections more so than most mid scale properties. Currently we are adding more counter space to help eliminate having to go up with items since there was no room to move outwards. I also have spoke to all staff to be more attentive to help needed by guests during breakfast and apologize for all the frustration during your stay.

I'm not one to review things, but I would feel bad not warning everyone to just avoid this place. This was easily the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. We had a single night stay here. Everything was broken, dingy, dirty and outdated. I know that sounds like a gross exaggeration, but believe me... it's not. The door to the room was broken, most times when we needed to key into our room we had to have someone come open the door for us, and by open it for us I mean they slammed it back and forth until it opened. The bathroom was covered in paint. I thought there was water (or even urine) on everything until I realized it was off-white paint splatters. The floor was not swept. I lost a sock and found it at the foot of the bed amid crumbs and shreds of plastic. The curtains were ripped. The air conditioning/heating unit had broken controls, so if you wanted ice cold air you had to find the sweet spot between cold and hot. And, when you do find that spot, it's only a matter of time before the vibration of the unit causes it to slip to the undesirable range of temperatures. There was some smell in the corridors... That lasted the entire stay. Speaking of the corridors, the carpet was all ripped up in certain places, just waiting to be tripped over. And at the end of the stairs there is a pile of broken air conditioners. We were just looking for a cheap/clean place to stay the night after a family party. This place was $130 for one night and so far from clean. Do yourself a favor and just avoid this place at all costs. Oh, it did have a nice mini fridge though?

I am very sorry to hear that we failed on your stay. We do have many that enjoy our property but on different occasions we do have an off room.
