Best Western Plus Hotel Crown Colony Inn & Suites, Lufkin

Room was clean, staff was friendly. There were a couple of decent Restaurants near by to grab food as well as two fast food spots, all walking distance. Breakfast has several hot food options as well as fruit & grab and go.

Excellent hotel. Very clean. Great location!. Nice amenities. Breakfast was served from 6-9. Bacon, scrambled eggs, biscuits, gravy, waffles, assorted cereals, fruit, all types of breakfast beverages. Dining area or carry back to your room.

Best Western Lufkin is always a pleasant and quiet oasis. The staff - from front desk to the maintenance crew and the breakfast crew - are always cheerful and helpful, especially Robbyn and Evette at the front desk.

Anytime I travel to Lufkin, I only stay at the Best Western Plus. It is in a great location with several restaurants in walking distance. Every staff I have encountered over the years have been very professional and kind. The beds are so comfy and the rooms have ceiling fans and lights that actually light up the room. And they are clean! The breakfast is yummy and the pecan flavored coffee is over the top.

Property was very clean and well kept. Rooms were complete with ceiling fans! Breakfast had several options, loved the fresh fruit and yogurt!! Loved the infused water! Pet friendly! Grill in pool area

Our room was very clean, they gave us additional towels as we needed them. Breakfast was pretty great. The staff kept it cleaned and refilled food all the time. Housekeeping was very friendly and I never felt like they were on top of us they gave us privacy and my family had a good time.

Bad odor in room. Dirty bathroom. Beds not comfortable. Way overpriced ($164) We got in late so we did not report the problem. I don't understand why so many hotels are accepting pets. That's probably why the rooms stink!!

We are so sorry that you had a poor experience. We do our absolute best to try to combat any unpleasant smells due to pets but we will work much harder to ensure that your experience is not repeated.

Quality product and location. Room was very clean, and everything in perfect working order. Allow pets for a minimal charge. Receptionist upon check in needed some additional training on people skills. Would definitely stay here again.

Mobility handicap room had a regular tub making it impossible to bathe. Mobility handicap room should have a roll in shower. Handicap bars were there but if you can't get over the side of the tub your out of luck.

Staff is always friendly and informative. We visit at Christmas time. The lobby is decorated very warmly with Christmas spirit and a warm fire. We just need a place to sleep on our visit but it feels like returning to grandmas for the holiday when we arrive in the lobby!

I'm working in the Lufkin area and forgot my keyboard and monitor. My wife made the trip from the Houston area to bring them to me. On such short notice she was not able to make arrangements for our two small dogs. Best Western has a pet friendly policy and were able to help us out.. The room was clean and all the amenities worked as expected. We will definitely stay again as I will be working up here for a few months.

Nice, affordable, place to stay. Friendly staff. We have stayed here twice now and everyone is supper friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. Right off the freeway. Close to everything and close to the loop.

I haven't stayed at Best Western Plus lately cause I stay at another chain a lot. However, after our stay at this particular hotel we were so pleasantly surprised. There were many little extras we really appreciated, such as, a ceiling fan with overhead light! Wow. Never seen that one before. The overhead light can come in handy when you need it, if even for short periods. And we enjoyed the fan a lot. The furniture was above average build and design for a chain hotel. It seemed new. Nice design. Great tv with guide in remote. Good lighting. I can't remember all the other things that stood out since its been over a week since our stay, but I remember I was impressed with the attention to details, which I have been finding lacking a lot in some other chains I frequent. The price was good and the pet fee here was more reasonable than others. There is a great restaurant next door and others all within walk distance of front door. Had a decent quality hair dryer. Oh, and get this, there was a nice hand mirror on a stand in the bathroom! Wow. NEVER does any hotel ever think about whether you can see the back of your head or not. I always have to bring one. It was also very clean. So, I have to say it was the best chain hotel room experience I have had for a long time. I've since tried to book others in our travels, but I am finding a lot of them do not allow pets, so very disappointed in that. Overall great place.

One of the nicest BW properties so far. It's conveniently located just a block or two off Hwy 59 and set back from the street inside a lovely neighborhood. Cordial and professional front desk and convenient, well-lit parking front and back. We booked a double queen room. Beds, pillows and linens were very comfortable and we appreciated a thermostat-controlled AC that allowed us to run the fan constantly, since the weather didn't require heat or cooling. Several popular restaurants adjoining the property and several more within a short drive. We enjoyed a full, hot breakfast and delicious coffee. Quick, contact-free check out had us back on the road in no time.

This property is very clean and comfortable. Good beds, extra bedding in room if needed, good amenities . Excellent breakfast/hospitality room. Very good selection of food items and very good coffee. Staff is polite, pleasant and very helpful (printed out map of area I needed to go and was not familiar with, without being asked to.)

Had a great stay at this location in Lufkin. The hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, king Jacuzzi suite room was spacious. The jacuzzi was enjoyable. A television for the area with the jacuzzi made for a great evening in to soak, netflix & chill. Convenient location with easy access to restaurants & convenient stores within walking distance across the parking lot. Would highly recommend as a place to stay in Lufkin.

After a long time on the road it was great to pull in to this property...CLEAN all around it, Room was very clean and cool. Couple of restaurants within walking distance which is nice to not have to get back in car. AND!!... the front desk clerk was helpful at check in, but the best was we accidentally left a bag of clothing inside the room closet and didn't know till we had arrived home (5 hours away). When I called, the front desk said it was located by Housekeeping but I would have to call back to speak with the General Manager next day (it was a holiday) . When I did that and spoke to her, (Theresa) she was extremely kind and helpful and when she sent the package to us, it arrrived within a day. She really helped a great deal and we are VERY grateful. Thank you for making tired travelers comfortable and also attending to our forgetfulness with a lot of kindness! Would recommend for anyone to stay in this hotel!

Wonderful hotel. Everything was Clean and fresh on arrival. Early option checkin available on the app. Comfortable beds, great breakfast with different options for eating in or carrying out. Overall a great hotel.

When I travel to Lufkin, this is the hotel I always stay at. It is clean and comfortable, staff is friendly, and it is not noisy. There is food and shopping within a reasonable distance. The pool is clean, which is a bonus.

We had a great stay. We had to extend our stay twice and the staff made it super easy. The water pressure is amazing. Might be a weird thing to say, but I really looked forward to my evening shower. Bed was comfy. Room was well maintaining.

The staff was very competent and pleasant. They pointed out some good places to eat, and they turned out to be very good choices. The motel is not immediately obvious from US 59 because it is behind a restaurant, but the sign is quite obvious from the highway.

My husband was behind me, he spoke to the receptionist 3 times and she ignored him and did not answer him at all, like he wasn't standing there. I am white and he is black, dont know if that was the reason but makes you wonder.

When traveling to Lufkin, my first choice of hotels is Best Western. I recently traveled to another town where Best Western was not available. On the way home, I wanted to book the BW again, but the rate had gone up $50 per night so stayed at another Lufkin hotel for half the price. It was clean & a little quieter, but not as nice. I missed having the BW experience, but not enough to pay twice as much.

Nice hotel, quiet location, room was quite spacious. However, do yourself a favor and get breakfast at the Cracker Barrel Rest. just up the road. Don't bother with the breakfast in the lobby or the horrible donuts next door at the donut shop.

I needed to stay overnight for a medical emergency for my Mom. I've stayed here before. Staff is wonderful and very friendly. Room was clean which is important to me. Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel.

This is one of the cleanest rooms I've ever stayed in. Even the tv remote was cleaned and in plastic. We were very tired and stopped late, the beds were very comfortable! Also at check in the front desk person was great. We will definitely stay here again when in the area.

I always stay here when I'm In Lufkin, Texas. Very Reasonable Prices, Very Clean Rooms, Also Very Top Notch Staff. Plenty Of Parking and easy in and out access to HWY 59 North. Two Restaurants, Two Fast Food Restaurants and gas station/ convenience store with in (very short) walking distance. Remember this name as the best hotel in Lufkin. I have stayed here one to a week at a time. I will start my stay from check in with TARA whom was very nice and perfessional. Also, The General Manager Teresa goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is absolute best as possible. We felt special from the beginning to the end of our stay. Beautiful and very modern lobby, with coffee and tea machines. There is also a business center with computers and printers available at all times free to hotel guest. Surely to make you feel at home. The room was cozy with ample lighting, with Sharp Flat-screen tvs and very good cable with plenty of great channels to choose from. Also, Microwave and Mini Refrigerator In Each Room At No Additional Cost. Which is very rare to find at any hotel these days. Very spacious work station, very comfortable bed and pillows, black out curtains and very quite and peaceful. Also, a definite smoke free environment. We also discovered every floor has vending machines and ice machinces. This Hotel has a very nice hidden gem on the second floor a washing machine and dryer. Very nice pool also very well maintained and clean gym. This hotel strictly enforces all COVID 19 measures. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all my family and friends. This Hotel is nestled in deep east texas area. The property is located close to two hospitals, plenty of shopping. Also, a short drive to one of the best lakes, Lake Sam Rayburn well known to many as the largest lake in Texas. This Hotel is also 20 minutes from the oldest town in Texas, (Nacogdoches) where the University Of Stephen F. Austin Is. While staying at this hotel you definitely will feel at home.

Let me preface my review by saying I've stayed at this location countless times with nothing but great things to say, unfortunately, this last stay may change my mind. Room 112 needs heavy attention! The carpet was heavily stained throughout and looked incredibly dingy. The desk lamp had what seemed to be cola stains all underneath the shade, which leads me to believe there is little attention to detail. The door swivel lock was broken off, which left one lock functional-as a woman traveling alone, that doesn't give me much security. The bathroom had a very large mold stain on the ceiling next to the very rusty firehead sprinkler-related or not, it was very unpleasant to look at. The kicker was the water faucet in the shower. Normally they are pull levers-up/down and side to side. This was a 1980's version-huge twist style (R/L) faucet that I had to literally put all my strength into turning on and completely shutting off, but when it did shut “off” it kept running like it was more than slightly open-terrible waste of water! The water was warm but not hot. The fan in the room did not work at all-thankful for the cold AC! The room just did not feel clean. The overall visit this time was just disappointing, if this is the trend, my business will definitely be moved elsewhere. I'll try one more time, but when I travel 4 hours to deal with medical issues the next day, I certainly need a restful stay.

The bathroom had some minor plumbing problems, but the hotel appeared clean. Our request for room location was accommodated. We appreciated there was a ceiling fan in the room. With all the current corona virus issues, we received "Breakfast in a Bag" and the attendant supplied milk upon request. The breakfast bars don't go very far toward replacing the typical breakfast, and the apples in our bags were past edible. Also, we'd question the advisability of eating apples that have been touched by multiple persons prior to reaching us. There was no discount on room rate as a result of the substandard breakfast.

With respect to the apples, we go by the WHO statement in regards to food transmission which states "It is highly unlikely that people can contract COVID-19 from food or food packaging." Great place to stay, walking distance to restaurants and felt clean and staff very accommodating. During covid it felt clean, breakfast was changed to grab and go during this time, we asked for a gluten free option and they were happy to provide this and it was great!! Fruit, yogurt & granola bars- perfect!

I enjoyed my stay staff is really friendly, great maintenance guy. Pool was super clean the room was also clean. Breakfast was ok if it wasn't for covid 19 it would've been alot better (not the hotel fault) I would definitely be returning! Also alot of good restaurants around!

One of the BEST places to stay, especially for the price. Clean respectable hotel. Girls behind the desk are in uniforms that look professional. Everyone is very polite. Breakfast is always good. Intenet service is good. Great places to eat supper next door. A 10 here, comparing to other best westerns.

I am a Best Western Diamond member. I Arrived on a Sunday and the friendly front desk person got us quickly to our room. Unfortunately I did not notice that the AC was not working until in the evening. I then decided to make the best of it until the next day... however, at 12:30 am I was too warm to sleep so I packed my stuff up and trundled off to the lobby to ask for a different room. The night desk clerk showed up quickly and when I told him the AC wasn't working and I wanted a new room he shrugged and said something like "Oh, is that so." Well he did give me another room without an apology. The new room had working AC. I stayed for 4 nights, and had booked a second reservation starting on the night following the first stay. I decided I did not need it and tried to cancel it using the app but it said I was within 24 hrs and could not cancel it (actually only 21 hrs!). I called BW main reservation line and she was not helpful. She said that I could not cancel and if i did not show up I would be charged for two nights! Really, Two Nights! I then went back to the hotel and the original clerk who checked me in was very helpful. I said, "please don't make me hate Best Western". She was able to cancel the booking and save my relationship with the chain. Breakfast area is a bit cramped. Women who works that area is helpful and sweet. She does tend to put on the Fox News channel all the time though, I would prefer the Weather Channel as it is less political, we can all watch the weather! Nice that there are a few restaurants a short walk away (Ralph and Kacoos.).

Reserved the honeymoon suite. Very much enjoyed the hot tub in the room and how quiet the hotel was. Breakfast was also very good! The lobby is nicely decorated. I enjoyed spending time drinking coffee and reading the paper there. I will go back!

I always stay here when I'm in lufkin! Reasonable prices, clean rooms and friendly staff. Plenty of parking and easy in and out off 59 north. Two restaurants, two fast food restaurants and a gas station/convince store within easy (very short) walking distance. Best in town!

EXCELLENT hotel!! The sweet girl at the front desk set the example of how to greet guests. So very sweet, advised me of everything I needed to know. The room is 100% spot on. Very clean, great furniture and the perfect size. A lot of food choices within walking distance. I highly recommend and would stay here again in a heartbeat!! WTG BW Crown Colony Inn!! We have used the Best Western Plus in Lufkin since its opening in 2006 to visit family in the area, and we aren't staying anywhere else. The staff is welcoming and demonstrates East Texas hospitality every time we visit. Plus some staff members have even recognized us from previous stays. The hotel lobby is resort-like, especially at Christmas time when they display a beautiful tree and a wealth of garlands. The rooms are luxurious, and the beds are just as good or even better than the ones we have at home. The best part of this hotel of course, is the enormous breakfast, serving everything from the usual warm staples like waffles from numerous waffle makers, to a wide variety of yogurts and pastries. To me, this hotel is every bit of deserving of BW's Plus title. Thanks for serving our family for all these years, and can't wait for many more years of your service as we come to Lufkin!

My sister and brother and I were all getting together in Lufkin for a week, and I was in charge of booking the lodging. I chose the Best Western Plus Crown Colony and am VERY happy that I did! First of all, I have to thank every single person I spoke with at the front desk, from the time I booked our reservation all the way through until checkout. Kudos to Maria, Yvette, Alazia, and Kristi for their friendly, welcoming attitudes; their assistance in handling complex requests; and their overall expertise in managing our lodging! We started with a two-room suite (at an AWESOME rate, thanks to one of their discounts), and then had to add a night since my brother (with his dog) needed to stay an extra day. Everyone was so patient and understanding and took great care of us; my brother was even able to stay in the same room for the same rate, which was SUCH a gift! The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with two king beds. The only difficulty we encountered was the thermostat in the bedroom not working properly so when there was a cold snap it was chillier than the main room with its king bed. They offered to have maintenance check it out, but quite honestly the addition of a blanket made it quite comfortable. Many thanks to the housekeeping staff who were so understanding of our unusual schedule; one day, we stayed in the room until 5 pm and so did not require service; the next day, we were able to receive "early" service (before 10 am). We appreciated the earth-friendly practice of only changing the towels that were on the floor; those we kept on the rack we could reuse, thus saving energy. The kitchenette with its fridge and microwave also came in handy, as we could keep our leftovers from dinner and heat them up for lunch. Having coffee and tea available in the suite completed the in-room dining. :-) The breakfast options were quite generous, including eggs, breakfast meats and potatoes as well as the usual waffle station, yogurt, fruit, cereals, and breads/pastries. They even had a rotating selection of "chef's creations"; one morning was breakfast tacos, another was pigs-in-blankets, another was layered biscuits (like egg McMuffins). The fitness room was adequate for our needs and we took advantage of it almost every day. We only wish the pool was indoors so that we could have used it as well. The hotel's location is quite convenient, just south of the city's "loop" (Hwy 287), on Hwy 59. There are several very good restaurants either right next door or across the highway, all within easy walking distance. The property itself is well-lit and sits very close to grassy areas ideal for dog-walking. Overall, we were extremely pleased with our stay at the Best Western and will DEFINITELY stay here again on our next trip to Lufkin! Thank you so much for a wonderful reunion!!

Nice facility, friendly help, free cookies, great breakfast, beautiful décor, nice bedding, big room. Window opens a bit for fresh air. Cons: Our major problem was finding and getting to this motel. It is hidden behind a McDonald's, left turn off a 55 mph freeway, no service drive. That seemed weird and dangerous to me—we missed it and it took a long time to double back on multiple freeways.

You can also see our pole sign directly in front of Ralph and Kacoo's. We stayed at the Lufkin BW location while visiting the area in support of our daughter, who was participating in a Texas Longhorn show. The hotel was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. There were many small things that set this hotel apart from others of its price level...things like having a soapdish at the bathroom sink. This attention to detail helped make this an exceptional stay for us.

Easy access to freeway. Within walking distances to restaurants and fast food venues. The rooms are extremely clean, roomy, and quiet. Bathroom was clean with plenty of towels and soap/shampoo/lotion products.

Nice place, walking distance to several restaurants and eateries. Everything was as it should be, even the gedunk machine prices were reasonable. Breakfast was hot and the attendant was observant to the room and guests.

Very nice lobby. Free parking. Rooms were clean with micro, fridge, and a safe. We had what they call a suite - 2 queen beds and one chair with ottoman. Also a desk. Nice work area with 2 computers. Also has a pool. Couple of restaurants walking distance.

We had the Honeymoon suite. Both windows were unlocked which we didn't realize until the 2nd day....?We trued to get a late checkout But was told they could only do 2 a day and 2 had already been requested...I was sick and just needed time for my meds to kick in for our 3 hour drive home! Could have been a little cleaner... Staff was friendly. Jacuzzi tub was great!

Olivia and Tara were very helpful. Olivia greeted us with a smile and swiftly checked us in. She was there again on our second night with the same pleasant greeting. Tara happily changed the printer ink....which the hotel amazingly provided free printing! Tara had also just baked fresh cookies and offered us hot, delicious raspberry white chocolate chip cookies! Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean. We loved the free standing hand mirror in the bathroom. We've not had that elsewhere and it was very helpful. Also, two complimentary bottled waters...one chilled and one room temperature...was a nice surprise. To say we were impressed, is an understatement! It's been a comfortable and enjoyable two night stay at this Best Western. Thank you!

I want to commend the staff for their amazing team work. I left my hand up clothes in the closet when my husband and I checked out of the hotel on August 3rd. We discovered the clothes had been left behind that evening and called the hotel. We spoke to Alisia and she said the clothes had been turned in and they would mail them back to us. After checking with the desk staff a couple of days later I had the pleasure of speaking with Tara at the front desk.. All said and done I received my clothes thanks to the work of all involved including Guest service manager Evette, right down to the housekeeper that found them and turned them in Isabel.

Very nice rooms and very clean. The room I was given had a ceiling fan and felt like home. I slept wonderful after a very draining work day. 5 stars for sure!!! The front desk was very helpful as well and helped me to save over $60 for my stay the second night. I would definitely recommend this place for out of town or visiting family.

My mom and I stayed here while my grandma was in a nearby hospital - we arrived late afternoon for check in to find no one at the desk and a gentleman who had been waiting for 10 minutes. A few minutes later a lady came around the corner with fresh baked cookies apologizing that she had not been there because she had to get the cookies ready for incoming guests. Well I'm sure this is a nice perk for those who can eat cookies, it would have been nice to have a sign or something to let us know what was going on. Once she was back, she was extremely friendly and got us checked in very quickly. We had a double room on the second floor at the end of the hall where it was very quiet. The air conditioning was not on so the room was quite stuffy, but it cooled off very quickly – having a ceiling fan in a hotel room was new to me, but very nice for cooling the room and for sleeping!! The beds were cozy and we had plenty of hot water Which made for a great nights sleep! We slept in and made it down for the tail end of the free breakfast. Unfortunately the water was no longer hot, and neither were the eggs so we ended up going out for breakfast anyway. Still, the room met our expectations and was worth every penny-

Similar to a Marriott. Comfortable bed, spacious room, updated decor and bathroom; small refrigerator and microwave; desk and oversized comfy chair. There was plenty of lighting- the room had an overhead light with a ceiling fan and four lamps. It is very nice to have the option of mood lighting and the option of turning on a bright light to see clearly when one needs it. Quiet surroundings, yet easy access to the highway. One can walk to several neighboring restaurants. Breakfast is served buffet style: scrambled eggs, potato cubes, bacon, biscuits & gravy; yogurt, cereal, juice, etc. Professional and friendly service by staff. I highly recommend this Best Western Plus!

The hotel was comfortable and good parking as well, although as a female traveler, I did not like the fact that thee were not screens on the windows and the windows on the first floor are very low to the ground and facing a wooded area so that is a safety issue. I would not rent the Jacuzzi suite again alone as it is in the first floor without screens in the windows. Polite staff, very clean room, stocked vending and the typical BW breakfast with not much flair. I'm not sure why BW thinks that floppy steamed sausage is appealing, to anyone.

Hi there! We're sorry that you didn't feel that you didn't quite feel safe on the first floor. The safety of our guests is the highest priority! Our windows only open from the inside and we have invested in bright parking lot lights so that anyone on the outside would be seen. Most hotel windows do not have screens in the traditional sense as they offer very little additional protection. We stay at this property multiple times a year and the property is always nice and clean. The staff is always over the top on offering great customer service, and the location is perfect. We always try to book this property first if at all possible when coming to Lufkin!

I have stayed at this hotel several times. The property is very clean, nice rooms and the staff are excellent. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. This property is short walking distance to great restaurants, including fast food. I would highly recommend considering staying at this hotel for business or pleasure.

Whenever I'm feeling the need to relax and rest my head, Best Western is a brand that I typically know and trust. Especially a Best Western Plus. I would stay here just for their fresh white linens and comfortable beds. If you're wondering if it's worth every dollar that you spend here, it most definitely will be. You can make the most of your stay by indulging in a vigorous workout in their gym facility, their speedy free internet services, or a dip in their relaxing pool. If you're in Lufkin and haven't had a "Stay-cation" at this hotel, you're missing out! When you go, make sure to ask about the free cookies!

This hotel exceeds all others with their staff & the comfort of this hotel. We recently have been traveling alot & of all the hotels we have been in this hotel has been the best of all. From their front desk, maid service & breakfast staff they provided 10+ service every day of our stay.

This is 3rd time I've stayed here for a scrabble game playing weekend with my friend. 1st time ceiling fan wasn't fixed, but maintenance at least looked at it. 2nd year they stopped putting liners in the trash cans & the ceiling fan still wobbled & made noise in the same room a year later. This year, different room on 3rd floor which smelled of mold like the whole floor had been drowned in water & yes another loud wobbling ceiling fan. They gave another party keys to my room, reported a lot of foot traffic at room next to mine which nothing was done about.

I was disappointed with this property. The exterior and interior of the property looks nice but I question the regular maintenance of the rooms. We had problems with our AC unit not working. Maintenance replaced the unit completely the next day but divulged that the unit had problems the week before. Our room had a musty odor. Perhaps it was due to the faulty AC unit but a new unit did not resolve the musty smell with in one day. The front desk person on staff when we were there didn't seem to want to assume much responsibility for helping to room issues. I hope this was a single incident. I would stay again but if quality had not improved, I would not stay a third time.

I'm very sorry to hear this. To say that we are disappointed that you didn't have anything other than a perfect stay is an understatement. We're going to work hard to get these issues straightened out. We've had a few problems with ACs lately but they are being replaced as quickly as we can get them in. This was our second stay at this Best Western. We liked it last time and so we stayed there again and planned to make it our regular place when we come to visit family in Lufkin from out of state. The rooms are clean, the pool is nice, and the hot breakfast is good. However, on the morning of checkout, the hot water ran out while one in our family was in the shower. We decided to eat breakfast in hopes that there would be hot water when we returned to the room. I inquired if there was a problem with hot water at the front desk. The lady told me the hotel was full and so it might take a while for the hot water to come through. It was a rehearsed answer, which indicates to me that this is a regular problem at this hotel. Checking regularly, it was about an hour from when the water went cold before it turned warm (not hot) again and we could finish our showers. I'm bummed, because I really liked everything else about this hotel, but a hot shower is a must!

This was an excellent hotel. Manager said new renovations and furniture were rrecently made and it showed. It showed 2.5 stars on websites, but I would have given this particular property at least a 3.5. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. I was just there for one night. But it was a pleasant one. And great steak and Seafood restaurant next door(Ralph & Kakoos/walk to).

The service is great, the design is nice, the mattresses give the best comfort and rest, and the breakfast is pretty good. The staff is always courteous and helpful. The wifi speed is very fast. Love this hotel.

Made the mistake of using Expedia to book the room. Explicitly asked for a King room with Jacuzzi. Upon arrival we were told we were not booked for a room with Jacuzzi. The manager came out and personally changed the room to a Jacuzzi room and charged us for the regular room rate. The room was awesome!

The Good: Booked here because of the 2 King Suite option. The room was very spacious and clean. A/C kept the room cool despite the HOT temps outside. Very quiet. Comfy beds. Breakfast included. Coffee and tea bags in the room; 2 complimentary bottles of cold water. Mini fridge and microwave worked well. The Not as Good: Extra bedroom with second queen smelled very musty. My kids hoped to swim, but the pool was just too murky looking... also a very small space. Breakfast room downstairs seats maybe 18 people with room for maybe 5 people to be helping themselves to breakfast. Not much of a problem for us- only 5 other people down there with us- but we were still apologizing to each other bc there's just not enough space.

I booked a room through Trip advisor/Getaroom.com for 5/17. I then called to cancel/modify that reservation for 5/19-5/20 and upgrade to a suite as our plans had changed. I called and the lady at Get a room was very helpful. She even waived the $25 change fee as I was spending more. When I showed up after a long day at our fishing tourney, to check in, Cindy at this hotel, asked for my reservation and name. I pulled up my confirmation on my app. And showed her. She couldn't find it and told me I was supposed to be there onThursday (the cancelled reservation in which I had a cancellation number) She then pushed me aside and answered the phone helping someone else. Then she helped the man in line that came in after me to check in. The man heard the whole thing and assured me there was a Holiday Inn express and suites up the road I'd find a room. Then I heard Cindy call a surrounding hotel to see if she could find me a room and nothing. Then she went back to helping others. At no time was she apologetic or communicated to me what she was going to do. She didn't know what to do so she helped everyone in her lobby but me. I had 3 hot and tired kids and a PREPAID room & confirmation # and no place to stay. So I took the liberty of calling different hotels. My 5th hotel I called, I was able to find a room and did it much more efficiently. I then told Cindy I want my refund as I paid, had a confirmation and still no room. Cindy said she couldn't refund me my money as I made the reservation through getaroom.com. I then asked her for her manager and she said she wasn't there. So I took the managers business card and left for Mainstay Suites who had exceptional service, hospitality and communication. I will never stay at a BW again, or will not book though getaroom.com ever again. When I called getaroom to explain and try to get my refund they said we had to talk to the manager at BW!! Everyone seems to be passing the buck. Bottom line is I prepaid for a room, had a confirmation with correct dates and still had no product or goods. Cindy obviously needs trained on going above and beyond and needs to reach out if she wasn't sure what to do. Do NOT stay here. It's been a nightmare and I still don't have m refund.

Booked rooms for SFA graduation ceremony. The beds were very comfortable! Very clean rooms. Breakfast was good our second day, first day was extremely crowded and cramped. They should have 2 waffle machines. Our check in and check out was extremely easy. The lady at the desk in the evenings was extremely pleasant and very nice!!!!! and so was the young lady that checked us in!!! We were very impressed. We will definitely add to our list of favorites. Conveniently located off the highway but not once did we hear any traffic. It is also in the same vicinity as McDonalds, Cotton Patch restaurant, a gas station and not far from shopping and other eateries.

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Plus Crown Colony in Lufkin. It was extremely clean and seemed to be well managed and well operated by people who really tried to make our stay pleasant. The fresh cookies in the lobby were a very nice treat! We will definitely stay here on our next visit with our relatives in Lufkin. Whoever cleaned the room before we arrived did an excellent job.

We spent one night here on a cross country drive. The only negative was pulling in, because it was difficult to cross the busy road. But once we arrived everything went very well. The check in was easy and very welcoming. The decor was attractive, and the room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and the night was quiet. The toiletries were good quality, made in USA. There were cookies served in the lobby, and we used the computers in the business room. The breakfast was fresh and tasty the next morning. This was an excellent night, no problems at all, and we would gladly stop here again on our next trip.

Stopped for an overnight stay after long transatlantic flight to USA. Friendly welcoming staff on desk. Quick check in. Spotlessly clean comfortable room. Person on desk recomended steak+seafood restaurant across car park. We ate there + had good food, cold beer and live music. Adequate breakfast the next morning.

Stayed here for the 2017 Texas Bass-Fest on Sam Rayburn. Room was clean and comfortable and AC worked well. Lobby was laid out nicely and staff was friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this location just south of city center.

The room was very nice. I requested a downstairs handicap room for my mother and the hotel was very good to accommodate my request. My only big complaint is the beds are rather high off of the ground making it rather difficult to get in and out of. Otherwise our visit was a nice one. Good free breakfast with waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, cold cereal and yogurt to mention just a few items. The hotel is in walking distance to the Cotton Patch and Ralph & Kacoos Restaurants.

We overestimated how the drive was from Texarkana to houston and at 10:30 at night we decided to stop and sleep, the room was clean the beds were super soft. I barely hit the pillow before I was in a deep sleep. This will always be my hotel when I am in Lufkin.

We had an excellent stay at the Best Western Crown Colony Inn and Suites in Lufkin, Texas. We were there to visit family and had a very nice stay. We conducted the visit at a family members home, but returned to the Best Western in the evenings. We enjoyed the breakfast in the mornings and left for the day.

from the 1st phone call(Ms. Teresa) to the checkout, they were a GRREAATT hotel. i have no complaints. the room was spacious and comfy, the clerks were friendly and personable, and the atmosphere was inviting. truly a 5 star stay. many thanks, Todd

The whole location is amazing!! The staff greet you with kind words and smiles. Any issues I had were quickly fixed. The cleanliness of the rooms were perfect and the water was hot! The breakfast in the morning was a perfect way to start the day. I will be going there again.

We always like a good comfortable bed, and this Best Western certainly hit the spot. Comforter was just the right weight; pillows were perfect. I'll stay here again! Best Western was having a special using "points", but we would have stayed here anyhow. QUALITY PLACE.

All was good except for person working in laundry room across from breakfast room and the lady preparing breakfast. The two stood in the hallway yelling at each other in Spanish -- rude and distracting to guests. All other staff were excellent.

The property's interior and exterior is always presentable. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. There is a huge selection for your breakfast needs. The staff is always friendly and service is fast.We stay here every time we travel through Lufkin.

This place check several boxes for us. The breakfast was tasty, hot, and had a lot of variety. The room was spacious and had an A/C and heat unit that had a setting for continuous fan, which is important for a good night's sleep. The walls seemed a little thin, so the fan was helpful. We also sometimes use a white noise app, but didn't need to here. The lamps bedside the bed had power outlets on them, which is great to charge phones overnight. There were several other chargers around the room, too. The bed was very comfortable, with plenty of pillows. The ladies at the desk who checked us in were personable and welcoming. We would return.

Had room 220 or was the 2 bedroom suite with 2 king beds. I normally stay at the la Quinta when in town as I have my dog. We decided to stay in the best western since we were only there one night. Even though it is close to double the price of the la Quinta the best western did not disappoint. From the room to the service everything was great. Room was clean as well as bathrooms. Rooms were quiet and large. The 2 br suite was perfect for me and the family. I will be staying here every time we come to Lufkin.

Stayed here on the way to my daughters for the holidays and they had a nice staff, even though I was using points they treated me like a paying customer. They had a good breakfast with plenty of choices and clean rooms.

Lovely hotel. Very clean. Huge screen TV with free HBO and full line up of programs. Beautiful pool area. Too cold to use in November though. Great location with nice breakfast bar. Walked across parking lot to McDonald's for late night snack.

I know I can count on clean facilities, comfortable beds and working amenities when I stay at BW. Their breakfasts are simple but provide all that I require. I really like having a hot breakfast option, and there is always eggs, sausage and biscuits. You can opt to toast bagel and they have lots of fresh fruit options.

I travel to Lufkin often for business and have been for 2 years now. I have stayed in many Lufkin facilities and the Best Western at 3211 S. 1st St.in Lufkin is the very best hands down. The lady who works the check in desk durning the day is always so friendly and helpful. I will not stay at any other place. I LOVE THIS PLACE

We had 3 rooms for 3 nights and all rooms were very clearn, comfortable and beautifully decorated. We stayed there the year before and looked forward to staying there again. We had a Big clean 2 queen and pull out chair room. I found a great price online with Best western. Good breakfast but in a small room. Helpful staff. Kids liked the golf holes and pool. Location was good and safe

Good place to stay in the past but...booked two rooms and was charged a higher rate for one. Lady at desk could not answer why. I was supposed to be called with an explanation but ended up having to call them. Something about not many rooms left available so they went with the NEXT cheapest rate. NOT a good way to do business. The MOTEL was NOT near full either and I know why! BW did not seem too concerned about me. Will stay at the competition across the street next time.

The room was very nice and did not have a room booked stopped in when I arrived into town and they had a room available. If you are every in the area go and check them out the hotel is very clean and very nice.

I had intentions of writing this review a long time ago but it has been a long difficult year. Unfortunately I wasn't staying at this hotel for fun. My grandmother was put in the hospital and, thereafter, went into hospice care and passed away some time after. I was tired and just wanted to a hot shower & good sleep. I got this from this Best Western. I always thought of Best Westerns as lower grade hotels. But this one is clean, neat, and, even, pretty. Definitely not low grade. The staff was very friendly & since I had to go on a day to day basis, they were ready to quickly get me in my new room each night. It has a very nice breakfast that refreshed me for the week I was going to the hospital. I would definitely stay here again. And I'm sorry I haven't reviewed sooner.

Best pet friendly place to stay in lufkin. Clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast, nice pool, and very convenient to nice restaurants. Easy access to major highway, but very quiet. This is the only hotel i stay at in lufkin, and i have tried them all at one time or another.

I arrived to a very friendly and helpful front desk clerk. The room was excellent. Very clean and plenty of space. The room had an excellent big screen TV. The bathroom was spotless and very nice. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and there were dogs barking but luckily when it was time to sleep they were quiet. Overall a great choice in Lufkin, TX

If you want a quiet, clean, professional place to stay while you are in Lufkin, Texas, stay HERE. Exceptionally clean! Probably the BEST housekeeping staff I have ever experienced. The staff is professional in their actions and appearance! They go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable.

The beds were extremely comfortable and we slept really well. That said, the bathroom left something to be desired. The tile near the tub had holes and hthe ceiling was badly peeling. The pool appeared to be clean and we'll kept, but we did not use it.

This is a first rate property and I am never disappointed when my wife and I stay there. The manager and staff do a great job. We have stayed there more than a dozen times in the past few years. My wife has family in the area and we prefer to stay in a motel so as not to inconvenience any of them. This is the only place we stay while in Lufkin

Stayed here during our trip to Galvestion. For the price, it was lovely. The room was very clean and the staff was helpful. The breakfast was below par and the staff doing the cooking spoke almost no English which made asking for anything impossible. Also the morning front desk staff were too busy smoking cigarettes to help. With that being said, for the price, which was cheap, the hotel was very nice.

Our room was a 5-star, not one flaw. The rate for the room was so reasonable. We didn't take the time for breakfast. Ivette was so nice at the front desk? Extremely clean hotel! We will definitely stay there again. It was nice having a great restaurant next door too! Pam

Only stay at Best Westerns when we travel. This BW in Lufkin is wonderful.. great employees.. rooms super clean! Have stayed at this BW each time I visit Lufkin since it opened. I always reserve the one bedroom suite. Plenty of room to spread out in and rest!!

The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I wish there had been a fan in the fitness center - the wall unit didn't cut it. But the equipment was nice and in good condition. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful hotel. SO pretty. Have never seen a Best Western Plus, but now I know why it is called this. Our room was very pretty and the lobby was beautiful. Breakfast was very good. Wish they had more of these types hotels when I am traveling.

Restaurants, fast food are in same area as hotel. Also, approximately 1/2 mile away are several retail stores & more places to eat! Will definitely stay here again.

Very nice dog friendly hotel. We requested a room away from elevators/vending machines on top floor. Hotel staff (Cindy) put us in room #323 at the end of the hall on the top floor. It worked out perfectly. Our dog, who usually barks at the slightest noise, slept through the night. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was decent. Would definitely stay here again.

The entire motel was very clean. The remodel job is attractive with new lighting and wood like door frames. We loved the pool with the in-water seating and water fall. The 2 bedroom suite was perfect for our family! I slept great in the comfy beds with lots of pillows.

A great place to stay, Good Military Rates and Breakfast. If you like McDonalds or Fresh Dougnuts and Coffee without serving yourself, just go next door. Its a very short walk! American Owned and Operated with super clean and efficient standards. A+++

We stayed here for one night as part of a road trip. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our trip, this was the nicest of them all. Everything was clean; the TV remote had even been sanitized! The bed was incredibly comfortable and clean. The breakfast in the morning was excellent with plenty of choices and a nice sitting area to eat. We spent the night in, since this was just a stop on the way to another destination, so we spent the evening watching TV and were pleasantly surprised at the full array of cable channels. This experience had my husband and I in agreement that we will go out of our way to look for a BW Plus on future trips. This hotel has set the bar very high, and I highly recommend it!

great staff pool was clean room had ceiling fan which really helped with air flow. I was booked in other area hotel which turned out to be a disaster. Moved from that hotel to the best western at lower price.

I traveled 3 hours to see a highly recommended Dr in Lufkin and chose this hotel after reading reviews about all the area hotels. I was very satisfied with my choice! Check in was adequate and staff member was very accommodating in placing me in a room further away from a group with many, many kids. Not that I mind kids at all, but a good night's rest was needed for medical testing. Room was very clean, hotel overall was very clean, convenient to get to right off the highway, yet very quiet. My stay was very comfortable and I'm returning next week for another appointment and am looking forward to my next visit at this BW!

Came in late with no reservation, Candi got us a room quickly and even suggested some places to eat that late. Breakfast was a little above average for your typical hotel fare. the atmosphere in the dining area was relaxing and decorated nicely. Rooms were modern, clean and comfortable

Second time we've stayed at this Best Western. Beautiful place, friendly staff, comfortable bed, great soundproofing (did not hear any highway noise at all), fast Internet, good selection on breakfast items (we certainly didn't leave hungry) - overall great value.

This was our third visit at the Best Western in Lufkin. As always it did not disappoint. We visited with our grandchildren. The pool was clean and wonderful as in our past visits. The room and bathroom was clean and fully stocked. The hotel staff was pleasant, helpful, and courteous. The breakfast was great with a nice variety of food items and presentation. As we needed to print off flight boarding passes after we checked out of the hotel, the staff was so kind to let us do so. We would certainly staff at this Best Western anytime we are Lufkin, TX, and would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for one night while attending Sandyland Bluegrass Reunion in Nacogdoches. It was a great hotel! Room was clean, breakfast was good, beautiful pool, even if we didn't have time to get in it. Definitely go here - well worth it!

Very nice hotel and very friendly staff. They hotel was clean and the beds were very comfy. I would recommend to stay for the price is right. If you are traveling for business or just passing thru. They have a lot of eating places in front and very close to the mall and other eating places.

If you want to find a home away from home this is the place. Kindness leaves heart prints. It's in a great location too. This place offers the red carpet treatment to all who stay. Checking in and out was hassle free. Great place!

The stay was outstanding from the phone call to make the reservation to the desk help with getting everything in order before we arrived the check in was on q we was late and the desk clerk was outstanding and got us checked in right away and gave directions to our room the room was confortable upon arrival and the room had everything in place as it was supposed to and the bed was very comfortable and had early checkout and was able to head right on our way thanks to Best Western Crown Colony Lufkin Texas

I am a BW member who has stayed at a lot of BWs. This one ranks at the top of all the BWs. Lovely low key employees who are easy on stressed out nerves of tired travelers. Lovely decor which brings back days gone by. No stark, modern, sharp edges here. Comfy beds and among the cleanliest BWs I have ever stayed at. Two very nice restaurants within close walking distance of hotel. No need to use your car. If you are lucky enough to get one of the rooms facing the back, all you see when you look out your window is a wall of beautiful green pine trees. Who gets a view like that in most city hotels? I will stay here again in a heartbeat. No need to even check out any other place.

We have not stayed in a Best Western before but were pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of this hotel. Conveniently located on the south side of town near McDonalds and a fabulous donut shop. We ate our dinner outside at the pool and it was very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Spacious room. Super comfortable. It was one of the best Best Westerns we have ever stayed at, and we often choose Best Western. Nice breakfast. Very clean. Highly recommended. They even gave us a double room with a king bed in each one at a discounted rate. This is awesome if two couples are traveling together and would like some privacy.

At check in time the room was ready, it was an early check in. Breakfast was great. It was very clean. Best Western has our all our business from now on. They had a nice pool area outdoors. The only thing that would have made it better is hot tub.

Thanks for the review! You know, we thought about a hot tub but opted for the great putting green instead for more year-round fun for the whole family. However, if you want a deep soak in a hot tub, I highly recommend staying in our Honeymoon Suite during your next stay. It has a huge heart-shaped tub!

Absolutely the best smaller chain hotel ever stayed in. Room extremely comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Good restaurants within hundreds of feet across parking lot. All the amenities one would expect and need.

First stay here was about 8-9 years ago- was wonderful (for a Best Western). It was fresh, new, and clean. Beautiful lobby. Now- it is still clean, but not as "fresh and new". I was really excited to see the new "updated, remodeled" rooms mentioned in some 2016 reviews. (5/18/16 "been remodeled" & 5/17/16 "updated rooms". Booked a king suite. Hoping for the best room they have. Booked early. I was sadly disappointed upon entering my room to see that it appeared to be exactly the same as 8-9 years ago. A bit tired, old, & worn. (The only "remodel" I noticed were new road signs & maybe the elevator floor?) Are some rooms "remodeled", but not mine? Perhaps- but I would think a hotel would do all at once. Who knows. However, and very important- they do a very good job of keeping it clean. Small, functional gym. Free breakfast bar. Overall- it is fine. A solid 3 stars. (could be 4 if it really had been remodeled) Still one of the better choices in this "hotel challenged" town.

Scott C: Thanks for your comments and apologize for the confusion. Please let me clarify our current progress as well as our plans for the future. Several months ago, we began a major multiple phase renovation. During phase 1, we installed our new exterior signs, replaced all the lobby furniture, the guest room chairs and sofas, and installed new top of the line pillow top beds. We also installed a new rock trim exterior and repainted the building. The second phase of the renovation is to replace all the guest room furniture. Also, we will be replacing a lot of the "hard surfaces" in our rooms like vanity sinks and tub surrounds. Phase two should be underway in a the next few months. I have stayed at several hotels in Lufkin & have stayed at the Best Western previously. It is now my "go to" place when visiting there. The Best Western is updated, the rooms are quiet, a good size & are always clean. The breakfast is good - better than most & a staff member is always around to refresh the choices. I have found the price to be very reasonable & the location is near several restaurants & stores, including a Cracker Barrel, McDonald's, Sam's & Walmart, Belk, Hobby Lobby, Academy, the Lufkin Mall and many more. I would not consider this a romantic, quaint, or charming hotel, but that is not what I am looking for. I am more interested in nice, clean, updated, convenient, & price & this Best Western fits all of those needs.

I frequently stay at this hotel while visiting and watching my child play softball for Angelina College. I have never had a bad stay. The only problem I have at the hotel is poor cell service and I typically have great service.

I travel overnight about 50 nights a year. I stay in Lufkin maybe 5 of those nights. I was staying just down the road until the clientele changed. I tried the Best Western due to its proximity to restaurants. Now I would stay there even if it were not close to same.

This Bestwestern Hotel is above average for most Bestwestern Hotels that we stay in. The staff is excellent and very attentive. Breakfast is very good and is kept well stocked. The lighting is excellent in the rooms. Beds are very comfortable.

Older Best Western in Lufkin. Clean with comfortable beds and nice breakfast selection. This hotel is very convenient to Crown Colony Courntry Club. There are several eating establishments in the same parking lot with the hotel which makes lunch or dinner very convenient. Would stay here again when in the Lufkin area.

Love this place!! It's located within walking distance of 2 great restaurants...love the pool and the breakfast. The staff is always very welcoming and super nice!! Rooms are well decorated and very comfortable ??

This was a beautiful property. The grounds were beautiful along with the pool with a waterfall. The employees and the manager were all wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was awesome. I highly recommend it!

we got a surprisingly good breakfast here, newspaper in the morning under the door, and the rooms were clean. Bathrooms were a little small but clean as well. They have a lovely outdoor pool and plenty of lounge chairs. Only drawback was it was right behind 24hr Mcdonalds.

This is a very nice hotel, the outside looks plain but when you walk you see how nice it is. From the lobby to the rooms and the pool area, all are very clean and nicely decorated. Beds were confortable. Pool even has a small waterfall and it is much nicer than any other hotel pool i have been too. The little putting green was pretty cool to.

Always pleasant service. Staff are always helpful and available. Only issue is the breakfast. Unsure of the breakfast tacos, eggs were not so good, and biscuits has some type of flour taste. I would definitely staff again, would make additional plans for breakfast.

The king suite was nicely furnished and clean. Property appears fairly new. Pool is small and got very crowded with kids on the weekend. A nice feature is a washer and dryer on each floor, nice for business travelers. We could hear all the footsteps from the room above us. During the middle of the day a dog from an adjacent room was barking incessantly, but to the staff's credit they contacted the occupants and quieted the dog quickly. Hotel is very conveniently located to restaurants.

This place of lodging is highly recommendable. The Neatness, friendly, happy faces and courteous employees. New set of furniture and mattresses. You never feel regret when you in. The breakfast is delicious and healthy. Totally advisable.

the hotel is located with in walking distance to 2 restaurants', 1 McDonalds, 1 donut shop, 1 gas stations and 1 bank. The rooms were real nice and clean,, The staff are helpful, pleasant and friendly. It is close to shopping centers and other restaurants.

I would stay here again in a heart-beat. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows, and the room was spotless. Front desk staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The decor of the lobby was beautiful and welcoming and the room decor was REALLY pretty. There were a couple of good restaurants as well as fast food chains in walking distance.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there. I was extremely pleased with cleaning crew, the manager, and the breakfast lady. Everyone was polite and accommodating. It was very clean and you can tell that all of the employees take pride in their jobs. Personally, I am a Holiday Inn Club Member, but I ALWAYS stay at the Best Western in Lufkin, TX because for me, it's the best hotel around.

My family traveled to Lufkin so that we could attend a graduation at a nearby school. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a warm friendly person at the front desk. She had our reservation paperwork and keys ready to go. The room was very spacious and nice. The beds were comfortable! The big chair was comfy, also. The pool was a really neat. It has a little a waterfall and a ledge so that my almost 3 year old could hold on and walk around in the water. The hotel was very quiet even for being busy. The breakfast was very good and hot. They had something that no other hotel had, wheat sausage and cheese kolaches. I definitely recommend this hotel and will use again when back in the area.

I always stay at this motel when I travel to Lufkin. Always clean and no surprises. Consistent quality and service are always delivered. One of the best places I stay when the wife and I travel. We have family in the area and when we visit we love to stay in Lufkin. The proximity to shopping and restaurants is great as well.

Great stay with all three of our small dogs to visit Sam Rayburn Lake. Left our dogs in the room while we were on the lake. Will possibly stay again if we return to Sam Rayburn Lake. Breakfast was good and the beds were comfortable.

Always go to this hotel for business trips in Lufkin. Staff are always great and best if all I get a cookie every night. Hot breakfast daily, ceiling fan in room and close to restaurants. A little dated, but still a great place! ????

My husband and I travel to Lufkin every month and Best Western Plus Crown Colony is the only hotel I will stay in due to the excellent service and staff. Rooms are clean, and décor is nice. Staff always helpful and professional. This hotel is always my go to place when in Lufkin.

We've stayed here numerous times before. This time we stayed in one of their remodeled rooms. Freshly painted, new furniture, larger bathrooms. The only problem that we had was that in the early morning hours is that the king bed became uncomfortable and my husband and I became restless and ended up tossing and turning the rest of the night. I also got the impression that they added more to the breakfast buffet. They had sausage, tator tots and gravy but no eggs. That was a huge disappointment. But other than that, all was good.

I just love this hotel--clean, updated rooms that provide warmth and comfort. Great customer service. Vending on every floor. Elevator for upper floors. Close to many fine restaurants--but their complementary breakfast is wonderful!

We have stayed at this location twice and couldn't be more pleased with the quality of service and friendly and welcoming staff. Location is great with several restaurants directly across the parking lot. Property is very clean.

My son had an emergency appendectomy and I needed a room on very short notice. I usually stay there when my son has college baseball games in Lufkin. As usual, the staff was awesome and the room was just as great.

I chose this hotel because it seemed to be the only hotel in Lufkin that offered a two room suite, which my family needed. The hotel room was clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast was fine. I did notice that some of the tile in the bathroom was broken and also the TV volume did not work at night but was working the next morning. Overall this was a great hotel and we did not encounter any major problems.

Great hotel! We always stay here when we are in Lufkin. Terrific rooms, reasonable rates and a polite staff. Located easy, I mean easy, walking distance to two resturants, two fast food restaurants and a convince store. One restaurant has a nice bar and live entertainment. Great place, we'll be back!

Great Hotel, many eating places around to pick from, it's on a main street that takes you anywhere you may want to go, and the staff and city is just a great place and folks! I feel like "BWP" can be the perfect place for anyone on a Business Trip to the person (like me) that comes to visit family and friends. I travel alone and never have any worries staying at BWP. Friendly Town...Friendly People!

We stayed one night on our way to Galveston Tx.. Check in was easy and quick the desk clerk was very nice. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, bath was clean and in great condition. Might have stayed in a BW a handful of times over the years. It was just never a chain that I ever felt any loyalty to. We were heading to Galveston for a cruise and stopped in Lufkin the night before on the way down. I have to say was a nicer room than I have received at much higher priced chains. I've stayed at this hotel 3 times in the past 4 years - all when I've been in Lufkin for funerals and burials for my 3 immediate family members. I stayed there because that's where my mom wanted to stay the first 2 times, and because it was familiar this last time when I buried her. It's a dark, dark, dingy hotel that is extremely depressing. And it's not just because I was sad and depressed anyway. Everything is brown and the lights in the room are so dim you practically need a flashlight. It's clean, but that's about the best anyone can say of it. Oh - and there is a decent restaurant with a good bar in walking distance just across the parking lot. I'll never be going back to Lufkin, but if I did, I'd stay anywhere else but this hotel.

Stayed here for a Conference. This was my first time staying at this Hotel and though the bathroom and sitting area of our 2 room Suite was a bit dated, everything was kept very clean. The Staff was super friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Breakfast was good and nice choice of restaurants (sit down or fast food) all in walking distance. I'll definitely stay again!

While traveling through Texas with friends we stayed one night at the BW Plus. It was very nice. The new BW Plus locations are every bid as nice as the Hampton Inns and HI Express locations and always competitively priced. Service was nice and room was nice. Just what one is looking for while traveling. Recommend this location.

Our room was wonderful. One of the cleanest hotels I have every stayed in. My hat is off to it's Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Staff. Excellent job!! French Toast was offered at breakfast and it was really good. Can't say enough good things about this hotel.

This is one of the finest Best Westerns that I have ever stayed in. Everything about our room was excellent. Best Western is our hotel brand of choice and being a Platinum Elite Rewards Member, we have stayed in a few. It is refreshing to walk in the door and see a familiar face. Some of the front desk employees have been there over 10 years! Says a lot about their management!!

I was very impressed with this hotel and enjoyed staying here. Everything was great. Breakfast was better than average for most hotels. Internet service was good, too. Definitely would stay here again.

My husband and I were very pleased with our room. It was a very nicely decorated King size bedroom that looked like a suite. It had a sofa and kitchenette, very cute! The lobby decoration was very elegant and the front desk person was very professional and super nice. It was a good experience!

Very nice hotel! The hotel takes pride in the appearance of their lobby and rooms. The breakfast offers more than just cereal like hot waffles, eggs sausage etc. Great value for the price of the room!

I have stayed at several hotels in Lufkin and BWPlus in my opinion is the best. It is the hotel I call each time I return to Lufkin. It has many foods to pick from and any forgotten needed person items can be picked up. Also, the shopping is nice if you just want to shop around town. This is my pick of hotels in Lufkin, TX.

I stay at this hotel when I travel to Lufkin, TX. Its always provided me with excellent service and nice rooms. I will continue to stay at his hotel the service is always friendly and enjoy the nice restaurants that are close and a nice walk to them.

Everything was great. The staff was professional and friendly. The room was cozy. Shocked it had a ceiling fan. The bed slept good. I would return to the location for a personal stay. The breakfast was okay.

This was a really great place, clean and beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I was pretty uncomfortable in the bed I really do not like a super firm mattress and this one definantley was that. I feel a pillow top mattress cover would have made my night twice as nice.

I spend the majority of my time on the road with my business and have stayed at this hotel several times over the past six years. It is always clean and the staff are friendly and go out of their way to ensure your hotel experience is a positive one.

We were driving through Texas and didn't have reservations because we didn't really know where we were going to be stopping for the night. We came upon Lufkin and thought it was a good place to stay. We went back and forth between staying here and the Courtyard by Marriott, but picked this place because it was about $50 dollars cheaper and offered free breakfast, which is always a bonus in my book. Plus the location was a little more away from the traffic noise. We got a room facing the back parking lot, which was actually nice because there were a lot of trees and greenery to look at. Plus, this really helped with keeping noise out from the main road. There are a couple of restaurants within walking distance. The rooms were nicely decorated and clean. Looked freshly updated. The staff was super friendly. The free internet was also another bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

nice hotel highly recommended, very clean rooms, nice and friendly staff, the best hotel i have stay in in years. nice pool, fitness center is very good. easy laundry service. looking forward to staying there again in the future.

No complaints...everything was as expected. Clean rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Easy location near good eating places. This was a repeat stay for us. Will return when back in the area. Stay was great.
