Location was OK for a business stay (Fair in MCH) Atmosphere is a little artificial but modern The room was fine, with a good bed and a clean bathroom The value was ok compared to the availability at the time of my stay. It is a selfservice hotel, but it is possible to get some service from the staff if nessecary. If you have other posibilities, then DON'T buy the dinner - it is relatively cheap, but also not very good. It is bad quality prefab "food". The breakfast is ok, but still low quality. Lot of parking spaces and also good posibilities for charging electric cars.

I discovered on arrival by train in Herning that the hotel was outside the city centre but despite the location the staffl were incredibly friendly and helpful and the room was excellent value. Fully recommended.

Nice hotel with comfortable rooms, bathroom is simple but affective. What I did not like was the way you have to check in with the electronic device. There wasn"t enough staff present. One girl managed several tasks and she did really good, however she was too buzzy. The choice of food in the evening is too poor, the quality was ok, but not more than that. The breakfast however is good

The location was good. More or less never spoke to the staff due to slot of self serving, the rooms are very very basic and ubfortunatelty the beds are poor. Booked a queen size bed which was two singlebeds pushed together and s very thin queen madress so always ended up in the gap between beds and so my sleep was very bad. The breakfast was okey and the dinner one evening was ok snd then next it was bad. The rooms was in all clean but with a hospotal feeling over it and for travelling workers that needs a desk as myself, the desk they say exist is only a coffee table with plastic chairs. I got it quite cheap through hotels.com so i guess you get what you pay for.

Unfortunately did not have the best experience at the hotel. The place is soulless. It's noisy, beds are way too soft and cleaning service is below par. Had to go and ask twice why my room was not cleaned in due time as promised. No airco. Stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks for a work trip. Would not recommended anyone doing the same.

Good hotel with great breakfeast. Okay fitnessroom, Like the idea with no cleaning, so the price is low. A hotel without history and soul, but despite that a good oppourtinty for a stay

Place is fine, nice and clean, good beds, decent food - miss some humans around, and some better parking! If you check ind late there's no marking - even in the back

My son and i, have used the hotel this weekend fri-sun At check in, no staff was free, as they needed to help people on the “self check in” Those machines wasnt to good. And i dont understand how i Can find the booking on my sur name, but i then have to type in ALL my information again, just as when i booked the hotel beforehand. Thats just, em, stupid i guess. Then you had to choose at What hour you was gonna have breakfast, i then asked if i was locked to that single hour or could come later, the hostess Seem mad/offended and just clicked the screen for me and said “its just to help us out in the kitchen” and went away.. The room had electrical issues. You have to put your roomcard in a slot, in order to get the lights to work and so on. When i insert the card it sounds like a freaking Taser. Like the power had some loose connection or What ever. Not the most comforting thing to have going on when you have to sleep. (Fire hazard comes to mind) It also was anoying to listen to. The lights also was flickering/pulsating, and noisy. All the lights in the room. So we had to take out the keycard at Night, even though my son wanted some lights on. The staff, i believe, dont have any knowledge on the electrical stuff. Atleast they just said it couldnt be bypassed, as i asked for. The food wasnt anything special either and i, that is ofcause and individual thing, and just my very own opinion. But no pancakes for the kid was a let Down, we allways get that on every other hotel we have been to. So all in all, 100% not worth the money and wouldnt recommend if thats the norm/standard for the hotel.

Clean and had all we needed. Gym and sauna were good and we were impressed with the breakfast. Self check in hotel. Nicer than other budget hotels. The hotel is very close to the hospitsl. A short drive to boxen and short drive to Herning. No restaurants nearby but food and snacks offered at hotel. .

Convenient located to messecenter Herning, breakfast is good. Rooms are small & need shelf & hangers in the bathroom. Would be nice if there were an option to get an extra pillow. Very limited staff on site some more helpful than others. Cleaning crew need to pay more attention our room had a very dirty curtain.

The location of the hotel was a big disappointment - it is literally in the middle of nowhere. Rooms are equipped very basic, even no wardrobe. There is no fridge, no hot water kettle, no coffee machine, however they provide coffee and tea on each floor. I can't say much about the service - there is self check in and self check out that is not bad idea, and it works well for late arrivals lake ours. Breakfast was very good, starting early, with high quality meat and dairy products, fresh fruits and vegetables, a lot of bread varieties. I even found gluten free biscuits and lactose-free yoghurt.

Worst bed I've ever slept in. Big hole in the middle. Declining mattresses. Great breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. Not a great location.

Bare necessities, i.e., just the necessary items you need—nothing more. Which was OK. Better-than-average for this price point: breakfast (Danish), with multiple options ranging from eggs, bacon, etc., cereals, yoghurts, hams and cheese, fruits, good bread, smoothies—including gluten-free bread on request. Clean, quiet. On every floor, it was possible to buy soft drinks, beer, a gin and tonic, snacks, coffee, etc. Also extra towels. Worked well.

Not quite sure how to put into words what our experience was, but the only way we'd stay in this out-in-the-country motel again is if we were so tired from driving that we feared falling asleep at the wheel; or it was the ONLY place available in the area, which is why we ended up there on this business trip. MINIMAL doesn't begin to describe it. Had PTSD memories of my college dorm room. It was tiny, with two pushed-together twin beds, and two twin down comforters to use. The walls resembled painted particle board-like industrial sheets, and we had a presto-chango collapsable shower stall in the bathroom. (Actually kind of clever for a small space.) Minimal lighting or space to keep luggage. A tiny Aiden robot sits near or on the check-in counter, and checkin takes as long as is necessary to figure out the system, or wait for a human to help you because the IT people didn't write a code for your particular checkin needs. Thankfully, there was a friendly warm body in the kitchen to help. (The front desk staff—in ultra-casual jeans and t-shirt attire—served double-duty in the kitchen, bar, and front desk in the evening.) The dining area was clean and spacious, and the buffet breakfast good, but this area is closed for lunch, and the dinner menu consists of whatever single-item dinner they make for the day. Chili con carne was the item the second night. Got there after dinner the first night, thank goodness. The front desk staff was friendly, but I didn't see the woman working in the kitchen at breakfast crack a smile. In fact, I felt glowered at when I approached the serving counter. They boast of having the first hologram checkin in the world, which is entertaining, but we didn't find it helpful. Just impersonal. Most of the people there appeared to be business folks, as they showed up to breakfast with their computers, ate, and left, and returned late in the afternoon. If that's all you needed this place for, it would serve that purpose, I guess. Thankfully, I brought work to do in the dining room while my husband went to a company for a meeting, but it was a LONG day in this barren place. I didn't think it was a good value for the money. Spending more than $100/night USD seemed over-the-top to us. Didn't use the third-floor sauna, so I can't comment on that.

Positive. Staff seemed nice. Bed was comfortable. Better than sleeping in the car. Negative. Think motel. Middle of nowhere. No bar, just a sliding door fridge from which you chose your beer of no choice. A kind of “loaves and fishes” approach to the available sandwiches; there were three of them and thirty of us. No human to pay, you use a McDonalds style screen. Evening meal burgers were warm on the outside and stone cold on the inside. Lukewarm pizza and congealed chips. Loose grate at entrance to Reception was a trip hazard (which at least provided some amusement) as was the entrance to the bathroom in each room. As was the pointless and depressed robot that wandered aimlessly around Reception. Some rooms were too hot, some were too cold. Heating controls seemed to be ornamental. If you wanted to have a hot shower in the morning, you had better be first in the morning; gulag temperatures after that. Good access by car except that the good access road was closed.

---Aiden by Best Western Herning--- It's great that in the long run you have to do most of the work yourself, but that's where the positive things I have to say about Aiden in Gødstrup on the edge of Herning stop. When I had solved the mystery of how to do your check-in, I came to a room where there were hair remnants in the toilet from a previous guest and in several places in the corners you could spot that a little cleaning was lacking, fair enough if only that only. The breakfast (it was a guessing game to find out when it was served as I couldn't find any information about it anywhere) was nothing to shout about, it was rather genderless and the staff were extremely slow to refill, in addition milk and yogurt were poured into neutral containers to hide their origin. They also committed a minor offense by labeling oat drink as "oat milk" (which is prohibited according to EU legislation), the employees looked at me like I was crazy when I mentioned it to them. On the second day the fire alarm went off, unfortunately there were no evacuation plans in the rooms (actually never found any in the hotel), also the employees did not inform that it was a false alarm (and it is really cold to stand outside for 20 minutes in a t-shirt at . 6.10 in the morning). When it dawned on us that it had blown off, we wanted to have some breakfast, but unfortunately the alarm sounded again here, which again gave 10 minutes in the cold outside. This resulted in my colleague and I choosing to pack our things and leave Aiden within a very short time as we no longer dared to stay at this hotel. It is always a pleasure to stay in a hotel where the hot water is only enough for the first 5 guests, and the rest have to enjoy themselves under the cold shower. In addition, I must praise a large part of the staff for their lack of communication skills in Danish, and also in English. Stay from 3-5. October Date of experience: 05 October 2023

It isn't an outright cheap hotel, but it's not expensive either. The breakfast is included, and exactly what you would expect. It was fine, but nothing special. The room wasn't big, but it was enough for us, and the bed was great. On top of that it was perfectly clean, kind of stylish, and the staff was excellent. On arrival we rang the bell in the reception to ask a few questions and since it was after midnight there weren't anybody there. Straight away comes this big viking-looking man, and he was both very helpful and funny. Really cheered us up after a long drive. We'll definitely come back, next time we're visiting family.

Firstly this hotel has good potential, but not quite there right now. I stayed in June 2023 and it appears to be just recently opened. The room was new and modern, but cleanliness wasn't as good as I'd expect. No working air conditioning left me sleeping uncomfortably, with a slight clicking noise in the room making things worse. The hotel has a bar but doesn't serve alcohol, the closest bars being 3 miles away in the town center. Although the hotel has clearly made effort to add facilities like a shuffleboard, communal PS5 and a gym, the essentials have been missed such as those mentioned above. Would not stay here again.
