Je m’inscris We stayed 2 nights. Checked the bill we I left, it was fine. Got the credit card bill. They had charged for 3 nights. The there was another charge for another night. Called the hotel. They had know idea why I was over Billed. They gave me an email address. It bounced back. This is now 2 months later. No response from the hotel.
Greeted with a smile and was courteous at the front desk. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. Amenities included a microwave and a refrigerator. Breakfast buffet was very good with variety of choices each morning. Easy access from highway.
Place was very clean, quiet, friendly people and employees were great. I asked for a remote control because I couldn't find it in my room and I was brought one immediately (found the one in the room afterwards so my mistake), asked for an extra blanket and received that immediately as well. Sonny was on the shifts I stayed and he was awesome and he's the one that immediately took care of what I needed as well as checking me in and out. The owner of this place is amazing, I've known her for almost 18 years now and she has really fixed the place up nicely and the backyard patio area was an amazing peaceful place to sit and watch the fish in the pond. I will be staying there as often as I can!
Great place..perhaps the best BW I have stayed at..super clean AND the breakfast lady.. I think Diane is her name. was overthetop helpful and kind. This place is also very convenient to getting to and from the Creation Museum. We enjoyed our stay!
Arrived around 5pm on a monday...i had asked for top floor room...not ready. Front Desk person Sunny (Raja) upgraded us to a suite. Very nice room/suite....Sunny went above and beyond...should be well commended. Breakfast in the morning was very good...hot food and plenty of drinks....juice, milk, coffee, etc..Diane the breakfast attendant did a fabulous job of keeping everything well stocked. Kudos to her. Even shorthanded in staff, everyone pitches in and the place runs smoothly. Definitely will return the next time we're in the area.
Everything was so clean. People were incredibly nice and helpful. Heated pool. Convenient to local restaurants. Great breakfast options. Staff takes pride in their hotel. We stayed here on our way somewhere else, but we would definitely stay here again.
This place appears to be recently updated. The lobby is really clean and welcoming. The rooms were clean, tile floors, everything worked, soaps were higher end, and the staff was helpful and interested in our comfort. Next time we travel, I will be looking for a Best Western Plus.
As a rewards member, i was given no amenities, was overcharged and couldnt understand the attendent that night he talked so fast. And breakfast was almost gone at 845, i feel i shouldve gotten the same breakfast options as the 6am guest. No complaints on the rooms cleanliness, just i was overcharged for a jacuzzi room and there was no jacuzzi. So was placed in a double and no price change. Said all rooms same price. For that price next time ill go elsewhere.
The staff had a beautiful bag of goodies for the graduate! How sweet is that? Breakfast in the morning was awesome - scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits&gravy and build your own waffles. Fresh fruit and juices and coffee.
Really lovely spot. The front desk was super accommodating and able to help with our pups (we were traveling with one service and one pet). Room was super clean and we had a lovely night. Thank you!
This location is moderately priced and includes breakfast. There's a great yard area at the back of the property with a pond, fire pit, picnic tables, grills and a lawn. Breakfast is standard fare- Diane the attendant keeps everything filled and clean- she also likes to check that the guest are happy! The beds are comfy and the property is clean. Sadly, the towels are quite small and thin. There is a small pool and fitness center. The staff were all very friendly and happy to suggest things to do. It is located a short distance off the highway and within easy walk/drive to various shops/testaurants/ and a gym.
Love the staff!! Housekeeping was amazing so clean!! Love the pool and outdoor area!! So much to do and great choices for breakfast!! The owner of the hotel personally greeted us and made sure everything was to our liking!!
We stayed one night for our daughter's birthday before going to Perfect North Slopes the next day. Hotel was clean and staff were friendly. Restaurants nearby were easy to get to. We would stay again.
We get the ski package when we go which saves about $25 per lift ticket each day. Great location to food and things. It is only about 12 miles from slopes and easy to get and from them. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Snacks and drinks available for purchase. Breakfast was good.
For the area, this hotel is a good option. We were in town to ski and most hotels are moderate. The front desk sfaff smoked nonstop and it was difficult to get assistance. However, the woman working the breakfast area was fantastic. Unfortunately, the pool heater was broken, which put a big damper on our stay.
Room was dusty, debris on floor that included a pair of socks that were not ours. Broken curtain, loud heater and cockroach from bathroom. Mentioned these items to the front desk and all we got was "sorry" and our receipt.
Due to a house restoration issue, my family and pets had to move out of the house into the hotel from October 12th through the new year. Considering how stressful the situation was, our stay was very pleasant. Everyone is very nice and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel. It has been a home away from home.
We really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast options were tasty and lots of choices. Hotel is clean and well kept. The beds were comfortable and I love having a easy chair in the room as well! The staff is super! I would definitely stay again!
I stay at this property every year at the same time. The the staff is always helpful and accommodating. They are pleasant and friendly. The room is always clean. I highly recommend staying at this property.
Beds were great, furnishings were okay, but the room had a musty smell and was damp when we arrived. The bathroom door looked as if it had water damage previously as it was split and peeling. The room was freshly painted and pleasant looking. The desk clerk was extremely friendly and helpful. We did not use the pool or have breakfast as we arrived fairly late and were tired.
Stopped here as a last minute reservation. Never seem to have much of any issues with this chain. Room and pool were nice. Breakfast was very busy in the morning as there was a bus tour that had stayed overnight as well. The attendant did a great job though. Would stay here again if stopping by.
We were planning on going to the Cincinnati Zoo the next morning, and this hotel was perfectly positioned. Check in was smooth, room was very clean. It was, looking at the bathroom and tile work there, showing its age just a bit. Breakfast the next morning was adequate----neither outstanding or lacking, just a usual breakfast at this type of hotel. Parking was also fine.
Nice employees . Rock hard bed. Biggest gripe is the room was “worth” the regular room price of $99 a night but just because their was a Taylor Swift concert in Cincinnati they raised room rates to $250 a night and it was not worth that much.
Pleasantly surprised when I checked in and was told we were upgraded to a 2 room jacuzzi suite which was so amazing. Everything about this hotel was perfect, along with the comfy bed and pillows. Staff go out of their way to be accommodating. Highly recommend this hotel.
Wonderful stay - showed up at 3am and they checked me in no problem with the early check in fee - i didn't mind paying. Staff was friendly and quick - the breakfast attendant lady was so nice and helpful... just a great experience.
Rooms were clean and breakfast was full of different choices. The only reason I gave a three star rating instead of four was that the bathroom needed a little more attention prior to check in. There was hair left in the sink and on the floor. Otherwise, rooms was very clean.
The hotel was clean the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The pool was terrific, temperature was ideal for swimming, not too hot or cold. The patio with the fire pit and pond was my favorite spot, great place to relax both in the morning and evening! Will definitely stay again and recommend to everyone I know!
We chose the Best Western because it was near our final destination and was pet friendly. It also had a 4 star rating on Trip Advisor but, although it may have been a 4-star hotel in its heyday, it is clearly past its prime. The room had a weird smell, the AC/heater made a whiney noise, we were missing towels and a shower curtain, the linens were a bit tatty, there were loose tiles, the beds squeaked like they were rusty innerspring mattresses. What made the stay bearable where the staff (and the duration was only 2 nights). They were amazing. They did try to re-room us but I really needed the first floor. They provided additional towels, soap, etc. They did provide a shower curtain for the one missing but then had me put it on myself. The room itself was clean and so was the lobby and lounge. Everyone was very friendly and helpful (except for the shower curtain).
If you are in the Harrison, Ohio, area I recommend Best Western Plus Whitewater Inn. It is located right next to the interstate. The staff are great and rooms very clean and comfortable. You will enjoy the full breakfast and indoor pool. Don't forget the exercise room.
Multiple issues with the hotel. So many things are broken or semi-functional that have not been fixed. In just our room, the door doesn't close properly by itself, you have to push/pull the door to ensure it locks. The sliding lock on the inside of the door was barely hanging on. The heating unit made an awful, loud whirring noise, which sounded like the fan bearings were going out; the front desk could even hear it over the phone when I called (when the phone worked). The phone worked intermittently when I called about the heater, breaking up partially when I called. After talking to them, had a conversation with my wife about what we wanted to do, then couldn't call the front desk again as the phone no longer worked. They had no more rooms available; however, we had been assigned the room earlier in the afternoon as we had come to check-in to get our key cards with our friends, then head over to go tubing and go out for dinner. So they had decided to sell the room, with an issue that is likely not new, and not had it as a last available room if someone wanted it. Our friends had a room where their unit also started making noise at around 2am. They also sell a package deal for skiing, but charge more than buying from the ski resort. They had given us a discount on the room, but couldn't give us a full refund as the room had included tickets to go skiing, except those tickets then cost us about $50 more for my wife and I than if we had purchased the tickets from the ski resort. Not only that, but those tickets are purchased by them under their account, with a “not for resale” clause, that the hotel and the ski resort seem to completely ignore as the hotel resells the tickets. Legal “do as I say, not as I do”
GREAT PLACE TO STAY i stay here ever time i am in this are the motel is always very clean the staff is always great and helpful. several places to eat close by they have a good breakfast just a really good place to stay
Staff was friendly. Room was a good size but lacked cleanliness. Fruit flies, spiderwebs and mold. Breakfast was ok, they ran out of waffles and milk. Mattress pad was filthy. Good location for commuting to the ski resort. Pros/cons. We won't be back.
Perfect place to stay when trekking up to Perfect North! Kid, dog & this mom all slept great! Price excellent! People = were perfect! Crazy close to the slopes. Hot coffee in the morning and no fuss breakfast to kick the kid off to the slopes!
We were here for the last stop on our trip to Florida from Michigan. We enjoyed the area, the staff was very nice, rooms were clean and everything seemed very well maintained. Breakfast was good and if in the area would definitely stay again.
There is no "PLUS" to this Best Western, only many "MINUSES." The condition of the room we were given--when the Inn was mostly empty--is unexplainable. Chewed upholstery, vinyl floors with no carpeting anywhere, torn curtains, an HVACfan that rattled loudly--the room was very subpar. And the service was the worst I have even experienced in over fifty years of traveling-clerks on personal phone calls ignoring us standing there waiting to check in for over five minutes, no eye contact or acknowledgement of us standing there, and the same thing when we checked out. The staff seems to consist of young women who have not been trained in customer service and do not know enough about the property to answer questions or be of any help.
This hotel smelled awful as soon as you walked in, but my room smelled ungodly bad. I will say they tried to get the smell out- but I just spent more money to get all my things dry cleaned because they smell like that god awful room then I did for my actual stay. We went as a group for a softnall tournament and everyone around rooms had a horrible smell. My purse still smells like it. The manager did give me a (awful cheap) discount on the room and said they didn't have another room to put me in but I should have just left and we somewhere else. HORRIBLE. Whoever does the advertising/photos for this hotel is doing a great job because it was not good.
Very clean and friendly. Gave discount for event we were involved in. Easy check in. Good breakfast. The staff was very friendly and they worked well with our problems we had before we came to this hotel.
The hot and fresh Belgian waffles for breakfast are the BEST!! Dianne, who works during breakfast, is very personable and even offers to make a waffle for you. She is friendly and worth a morning visit. The bed is comfy and the room is adequate for longer than a one night stay.
The Hotel has great location near the highway and so its very accommodating to the commercial customer as well as the person of family on a trip. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. The Hotel has great management and address any situation quickly.
this best western was a great place to stay really nice place well keep very clean the staff was great and very helpful the room was very clean the whole looks to be very clean lots of places to eat close by i will stay here again when in the area
Pros: Friendly breakfast attendant and other staff Comfortable bed Decent breakfast food Pool area clean and nice, small pool, kids enjoyed it though. Cons: First night our room stunk of mildew and mold. There were moisture eliminator tubs on the floor. Black mold on curtains by air conditioner. No other room available to be moved to. New room second night also musty smelling, air from air conditioner smelled of mold. The lobby the first night stunk of marijuana. I am not sure how this compares to other best westerns as I have never stayed at them before, but don't plan to in the future.
This is the only place we stay at when we come back to visit family. The hotel is clean and friendly staff. The breakfast is also really good. Easy to get too off the highway. The staff from booking to checking in and out is always really nice.
The hotel is clean and has a good breakfast. The hostess at breakfast will make your day start off well. And the food is good for a hotel breakfast. There is an indoor pool (not the biggest) and a nice outside area to have a gathering with friends. I was with a group of about 16 and all but 2 had good rooms. My room had a musty moldy odder to it. My friends room had a stale smoky odder but everyone else said there rooms were ok. Roll the dice and take the chance if your a gambler. I will say the rooms are spacious and do give you room to move. Don't get me wrong the room did seem clean. The odder just is not pleasant at all.
I don't recommend this hotel. The good points: The staff was nice and helpful, backyard area behind the pool was nice if you wanted to sit outside although the fountain area has seen better days. The hotel is close to several eating places. The lobby area and pool area was clean. Now for the rest: We checked into our room and immediately smelled a musty almost stale smoke odor. It was already 7 pm and decided to just try and deal with it. We found out if you turn on the exhaust fan in the bathroom it makes the smoke smell worse. A little later I decided to go to the Home Depot next door and get some odor neutralizing spray. It didn't really help. The next morning my husband went to take a shower and noticed we didn't have a shower curtain. Also, we were only given two towels but there were three of us staying in the room. We asked staff if we could switch rooms. She apologized for the issues and moved us to a different room. Be careful what you ask for! This room smelled musty and felt very humid, We were in a hurry to get to where we needed to be so we just dropped our bags and left. When we returned that evening, I tried adjusting the thermostat but you can't adjust it below 68. When I went into the bathroom, there was a bug crawling on the bathroom door. Fortunately, that was the only one I saw. Again, the room only had two towels, we needed three. I made the mistake of walking barefoot on the carpet. Because of the humidity in the room, the carpet was damp and dirt and whatever else was on the carpet was sticking to my feet. When the a/c would cycle on, the room would be very cold for about 15-20 minutes then just feel damp and humid. We were leaving the next day and it could not come soon enough!
On the first day we were moved to four different rooms from the third floor to the second. The first room was u kept. The second room had cigarette smoke in it (both on 3rd floor 322 and 302). We were then moved to 214. The bed covers felt damp. I noticed two moisture absorbing containers on either side of the air conditioner that may even have been air fresheners as well. The room smelled bleached but also smelled chlorinated. When my grandsons returned from swimming in the pool, one went to take a shower and the bathtub drain was not allowing water to flow out. We contacted the front seat and spoke with Reese. (She was extremely nice and actually the main reason we came to your hotel because she was nice on the phone when we made reservations. She was very apologetic and brought up room keys for room 217 to use the shower in that room. She was also dealing with a hot tub overflowing from the 2nd floor into the lobby area at the same time. (This hotel seems to have plumbing issues). Maintenance came and snaked our showed drain and it worked. The air conditioner in the room blew air but you could not adjust it. It stayed fixed at 71 degrees and made sleeping miserable. The refrigerator was cool but not cold. There was no knob to adjust the temperature. On Friday I had a meeting to attend. I had a few insect bites on my right elbow that I thought were from a rogue mosquito. I had to iron some clothes and the ironing board pad was absolutely terrible! I am hoping what was on it was melted chocolate but I have my suspicions. I called the front desk and they brought a new pad… which didn't really fit. Running behind I proceeded to iron my shirt only to find that the iron was broken and missing pieces. They brought another iron . I went to iron my shirt and this iron spewed white calcium deposits and rusty water when hitting the steam button. Saturday was our departure day. I woke up with bug bites on both elbows… all up and down my right arm, right side, abdomen buttocks and leg. Getting up I discovered that our bed, the floor and our luggage on that side of the room was crawling with ants. The housekeeping woman said they had been having a hard time on the 3rd floor with ants. I am a very calm and patient individual. There were ants now everywhere I looked! Housekeeping let the front desk know our situation as I was videotaping all the ants and other things in the room for trip advisor. The front desk knocked off one nights stay for the inconveniences. Probably could have and should have done more with all that we experienced in this facility. Upon return home we discovered that all of our clothes as well as my cpap machine smell strongly of that room. My wife has laundered our clothes and still cannot get the room smell moldy/ mildew cover scent smell..? If it were not for having a difficult time finding a hotel in the area in the first place and for Reese trying her best to accommodate us… I would have packed up and left on the first night but was exhausted from a 9 hour trip. I think that this hotel needs a complete overhaul and fumigation. It they “know” there is a problem with ants in the rooms, then spare any other customers from being bitten in their sleep. But also fix all of the things that are broken. Air conditioners, refrigerators, plumbing, odors, irons, etc. I would not recommend the Best Western in Harrison, Ohio to anyone!
Best Western was exceptionally nice for our family - small enough that we could gather in the pool and play with or watch the kids yet only 18 minutes from stadium and aquarium. Excellent value on a weekend that hotel rooms were at a premium
Came down for the Hoinke bowling tournament. Had a block of 20+ rooms. Manager Emilie and front desk Emily were very friendly & accommodating. Air conditioners were a bit loud but everything else was great. Will definitely stay here for future annual trips.
We visited this hotel while attending the Cincinnati jazz fest from July 22&23rd, first, our TV wasn't programmed, the employee came to our room in his pajama pants, no shoes, as he seen the look on my face, he stated, ( I work here, my wife works front desk), room was dirty, smelly, no towel's or washcloths, bathroom was dirty, next, about 8am, someone had a key to our room and tried to enter, thank God we had presence of mind to lock the door, when I called front desk young lady replied, " it was housekeeping ", I replayed, " why didn't they knock or announce themselves? ", I asked housekeeper, she said she didn't start til 9, this was a horrible experience, I feel I should be compensated for this, I will not be returning to Cincinnati, and I don't travel much, a monetary compensation would be acceptable, hope to hear from you soon, Yours truly, Terry Livingston, terrylivingston6@gmail.com
I needed a place to stay overnight for a quick trip to see friends in the area. This place was conveniently located and everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. My room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I just grabbed muffins for breakfast because I was in a hurry but they were very good. It was perfect for what I needed. Just sorry I didn't get a chance to try out the pool!
Our family stayed here for 4 nights. The hostess price matched a good deal I found online which saved us a lot of money. Our room's TV remote didn't work, and while we were given 3 different remotes, it never could change channels, though it could turn it off and on and change volume. We did figure out how to change channels directly on the cable box, so it was not a huge deal. The breakfast was pretty good, though flimsy paper plates were used, so double or triple up on them to avoid spills. The lady serving was very kind and helpful. We loved the pool, nicely heated with a ledge to sit on in the deep end. The back patio was nice too. Everyone working was kind and the location was very good for local fireworks on the 4th, picking up a few things at the grocery store next door, restaurants and our visits to the Creation Museum(20 minutes) and Ark(1 hour).
We had to find a place to stay for a few days in between our time ending at our rental and getting into our home. Emily Barnes Front Desk (F.D.) worker helped us a lot in securing two rooms that could be conjoined. We have my elderly in-inlaws with us and we needed to be close by for them, as well as be on thr ground level. Emily went above and beyond what she needed to and got us what we needed. As for the hotel. The rooms had a little bit of a funky smell but over all it seemed to be clean. They have an amazing continental breakfast. The pool was fun for my daughter and husband. It is really loud and echoed in swim room. That was the only drawback about that room. While at the pool there were little girls in there screaming at the top of their lungs.. it was really hard for us to enjoy our time at the pool. ( this isn't on the Hotel. It's on the chaperone that just sat staring at her phone screen pretty much the whole time instead of parenting)
I grew up in this town and stayed here for a visit. The hotel is in a less congested area so easy to get to and from the area. The facilities were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. It is near Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans and Dunkin Donuts.
I was in Cincinnati for a bowling tournament. Best Western, Whitewater Inn was close to everything. The staff was courteous and friendly. The beds are extremely comfortable, I had a king bed suite, the price was very reasonable. I got there on Friday, the staff got me checked in, check out on Sunday was fast and easy. It was a very pleasant stay.
The bathroom was missing many supplies--bath towels, hand towels, soap, tissues, an empty toilet paper roller but it did have an unopened roll of toilet paper on the sink counter, The one stuffed chair in the room was highly soiled and badly worn and very frayed. The continental breakfast was at best mediocre with a stack of previously frozen omelets and tasteless cheap white bread. The only item worth eating was cold cereal and milk.
The breakfast area is well maintained, clean, and well stocked. The staff is very friendly. It's been a long time since I have been to one this nice. We also really enjoyed the fire pit on the back patio.
We stayed for a night for a wedding weekend and had a great time. April at the front desk let us stay in the lobby and was super courteous. The rooms and beds were bery comfortable & clean. Thank you for a great stay!
There was no electricity in our room upon check in. Tub was slick, no mat...bar too high to take a bath & be able to use. Tub surround was "fixed" with a temp. stick on plastic piece...not well attached. Could not increase/decrease temp without using a pocket knife to activate switch. Beds way too high...need a ladder to climb in.
Dated facility w/ recent, limited updates. Our king room floor was tiled throughout; possible handicapped accessible. Micro/fridge. Flat screen HD TV. Excellent reception w/ varied channel selection. Excellent mattress & support. Shower pressure great. Aged, worn sleeper sofa. No support on cushions for sitting. Did not stay for breakfast, but looked to be hot/cold buffet items. Great, friendly & accommodating staff.
We have stayed here before just prior to Covid. Our most recent stay was great as well. Harrison is a good location for going between Cincinnati and Oxford. Clean rooms and a great breakfast with friendly staff.
This was very nice hotel. Unfortunately we were unable to stay long enough to partake of many of the amenities. The fire pit looked so inviting and I really wanted to go swimming. There were people using both places the whole time we were there. The elevator was really close to the desk and it was very easy to get to our room which I appreciated very much. The bathroom was a little tight space wise. I hated the TV controller...Couldn't ever figure out to use it!! Lol...my fault probably!
General manager was very professional and knowledgeable about the area. Breakfast server was attentive and friendly, very helpful. Pool was warm, bed was comfortable, and shower was hot and enjoyable.
Ladies up front were very friendly. Lady doing the food had a hard time keeping up by herself. Workout room was a disaster. The room was dirty, treadmill didn't move properly, and no sanitizer. Pool was nice and warm but was full of brats that kept jumping in and parents never correct them. My son and I lasted maybe 5 mins.
Love it here. Whoever the manager is should be very proud of her Maids. They made me feel right at home. Especially the one who's name is Tammy. A remarkable worker. Always smiling and says hello and if I need anything everytime she sees us.
Racheal, Trish was great help at checking us in the manager I believe Emilie is really running the show great. Her workers make you feel welcome. The head housekeeper was as well very helpful. The rooms was very clean and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay and will most definitely use your Motel again. Thank you for such a great stay and making my family feel welcomed.
It's a wonderful place to stay. It's close by to places to eat. They have truck parking available to truck driver. I will continue to stay here when needed. I would recommend this hotel and location for anyone.
The service was excellent, but it was super noisy and there was an odor in the room. The water pressure was not great at all and the heater made a loud noise. I didn't report these problems because we had already had to switch rooms as we were given a dirty room. I have three children, so that gets pretty hectic. The pool is wonderful, the breakfast is great, and everyone is friendly. To be honest, the smell may be because they are pet friendly.
The hotel rooms are run down. It appears they remodeled the entry and maybe pool area but all other areas seem run down and pieced together with whatever they had lying around. Staff is very friendly and helpful, I think they are just working with what they have.
We had 2 squad cars show up just as we were arriving, people were smoking pot in their rooms and the halls smelled. There were a lot of questionable people staying there. It seemed more like a glorified half-way house. They were mostly discussing who their parole officer was and how to avoid them. A dirty mop bucket full of water was left outside our door for days. It was apparent that the family of the manager has free rein of the hotel at all hours of the day and night. We were in town as a family, staying in 6 rooms for a funeral. We were afraid to go out at night.
I am so happy I booked at Best Western Plus in Harrison OH. I was greeted by the sweetest lady Ms. April. She works third shift and is an manager as well. This was by far the cleanest hotel lobby and I mean it was SUPER CLEAN! The cleanliness alone was welcoming but you also had Ms April with her wonderful smile and attitude. It's enough to make anyone day better. I will be booking here again next time I'm on tour and I hope to be greeted by Ms. April once again!! Also thank you Ms April for making my check in experience fast!!! I can't wait to be back!
This hotel was very nice and very clean, it has a pool, a fire pit outside which is really nice. The rooms are amazing and worth the money. The staff was amazing, the breakfast was amazing. All the staff was great at what the did and they were also very plesent.
We paid $140 for a room that looked like all they did was change the sheets. Clipped nails on the floor by the bed and body hair all over the bathroom floor. Absolutely disgusting. The couple before us requested a room change because of the odor in their room. We should have taken it as a warning sign.
Trip Advisor I'll never trust your ratings again ! This place allows pets in all rooms. Usually it's certain floors if at all. Be very aware. There was an empty sanitizer bottle at check in. No way to fill it snd no new ones available. Why keep it there then. Don't lick your fingers. Carpets were filthy and need deep cleaning. Because everyone is so short staffed I'll excuse the dirty entrance, stairwells, floors. Room was clean except for hairs on toilet. Upon checking in at night, the breakfast area had old toast in the toaster, dried waffle mix on the dispenser. The area had dried food on the counters… Ugh
The hotel was very clean, room was great, bed very comfy, breakfast was very good and front desk ladies were awesome. Bathroom was clean and toiletries were great It had a nice size tv with plenty of tv stations including premium channels.
Service was horrible, management is worse and the room smelled awful!!! We stayed for a softball tournament that was canceled once we arrived at the hotel Friday night.. we we told we would not be charged for Saturday night and then they turned around and said we were going to get charged. When ask to speak to the manager they refused to speak to us.. corporate has yet to reply to me either! Will never stay there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!
Do not come to this hotel if there may be a possibility of a rain out or any reason something may be cancelled late. We were notified of our tournament being cancelled Friday night at 8pm. Some of us booked Friday and Saturday night and others just booked Saturday. We stayed Friday night because we were already there. They did not refund us our money for Saturday night. All of my parents had to pay for Saturday which I have never experienced this with a hotel before. Typically, the managers are good humans and just refund our extra night or the night we didn't use since the reason we were staying was cancelled. 100% disappointed in this hotel and their upper management.
The front desk staff were so nice. The room had ants and dirty dishes. They said they would wash them and never washed them. My family had ants in their rooms with no food. They said they would give us a discount and didn't.
Hotel is close to the highway & restaurants. Sits back off the main road which is nice. Unfortunately we were too busy & didn't have the opportunity to use the heated indoor swimming pool. Good variety of choices provided at breakfast. Older hotel but has been remodeled.
Room was nice. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Room price was matched by lower price I had found on line. Maid service including being given clean towels not provided unless you ask for it. I guess if you put a sign out on your door it would be taken care of but reception should tell you this on check in.
The room, wasn't put together well at all.. the bed sheets were stained it was just nasty especially for the price. The coffee machines were broken, but the employees/staff were extremely nice. I just wish they would've handled the bloody sheets differently!
We found body hair as if the sheets had not been changed after last guest. They did change the sheets when we asked. Shower had long hair left in the drain from last person(s) as well. Over all room was not very clean.
Quick Check in and out ,All of area and room was very clean, all the Staff were friendly and helpful. Great Location., easy access to highway and lot of restaurants and attractions close by. Will be staying here whenever I am in the area.
We booked this hotel for a men's softball tournament. Our rooms were so damp from all the moisture in the room that the carpet and blankets were wet. Understaffed and the staff there didn't care about any complaints. Waited hours for towels, mold in the bathroom.
We stayed 2 nights here and could not have been more satisfied with the staff, location, and amenities offered. Indoor pool, large secluded outdoor patio area with firepit, goldfish (no fish) pond with waterfall, charcoal grills for guest use, and a grab and go breakfast. Front desk ladies were absolutely amazing. We enjoyed our stay and we would stay here again.
We were looking for a modestly priced room for our visit to the Creation Museum/Ark Encounter and that is just what we found in the BW Plus. We were given a complimentary upgrade which was very kind as we arrived very late in the evening. We did find a few things to speak with the front desk about at check-out (refrig not working & microwave hadn't been cleaned from previous user) but these were minor.
Nice place to stay. Room was clean and well cared for. Back yard area was nice, although we didn't use it. The Covid friendly breakfast was terrible, bagged breakfast, can't expect much I guess. They could definitely work on this. Close to many stores, easy to walk to, we liked that for sure.
Our stay was great!!! Smells and looks very clean.. Our rooms looked and smelled good as well.. We want to thank the Gm The front desk clerks and housekeeping staff for treating us as if we were family...
Had a blast. All us girls got together to have a fun night and the hotel was exactly what we needed! The pool and the rooms were great. We had adjoining rooms thanks to the staff they went above and beyond to do so for us. Even though wasn't guaranteed they made it happen.
Had a great stay will be back in the future. The pool was great and love the back area to sit and relax. Front desk seemed to really love there job and wanted to be there. It's hard to find that and you see that here.
The staff are very kind and helpful. The place is clean and the pool is still open unlike most hotels now. Animals welcome! breakfast in the mornings and cofee to help you start your day. Highly recommend!
We had to stay in Harrison so obviously options are limited but this hotel has not been taken care of. The back patio section had empty beer cans strewn about from what looked like a party the previous night yet nobody cleaned it up, the pond out back was green and stagnant, just overall no care for this place, Not to mention THERE WHERE HAND PRINTS ON THE HEAD BOARD, you can use your imagination there.... but oof..... you'd think they would wipe it down at least? I know you get what you pay for but i definitely expected a little better.
Building was clean and employees were pleasant and helpful. The hot and cold to-go breakfast bags were a great idea. Stayed here while attending a bowling tournament in Cincinnati. Would definitely stay here again.
No check in availability before exactly 3pm even when the room was ready, staff simply didn't care. Room smells of old smoke. Bedsheets had stain but due to the time we discovered it (10pm) the answer was “sorry, nothing we can do” Better avoid this hotel at any cost.
Great stay on a family friendly budget. The front desk staff were all super nice. They have a heated, indoor pool which is nice and a couple donut floaties. This is the first hotel with friendly snack, drinks, and other item prices I've came across. No need to bring a firestick because they have a great cable tv channel selection. Would definitely stay again!
It was very clean. The rooms are ery spacious, with the most comfortable bed. Emily Beca and Cheyenne went above and beyond to make sure that my stay was everything it should be and more. True hospitality and always service with a smile..
Stayed here as a freeway stop on an overnight drive across the country. Good place. Spacious, clean, modern and new. Attractive decor in rooms and hallways (and hallway carpet too) Price was attractive as well.
From the front desk to the housecleaning staff, no one wore masks at this hotel despite the signs at the lobby entrance indicating that masks are required in public places on this property. The hotel is in disrepair and the room was dirty. We were disappointed with every aspect of the experience.
Great price with Best Western Friends and Family discount. Main areas clean but room needed deep cleaning in corners. Overall clean, no black marks on socks. Rooms nicely decorated. Bathroom door did not latch. Girl at check in was great! Terrible experience with other guests banging on door and yelling in middle of the night. Don't know how staff would have handled issue, we did not call down thinking it would stop. Our mistake.
Fight in lobby in front of children, clerk did nothing for approx an hour. Key given to wrong guest and guest walked in on other guests who were not dressed. My key was also given to another group. Was charged 4 nights when I stayed 2. Was charged for rolling bed when I asked specifically if there was a charge for rolling bed. Asked to speak to a manager and the front desk abruptly and rudely said, “she wants to know what do you want. She [don't] have no time to talk to you”. Yes, that is verbatim. Will not stay there again. Appalled at their behavior and professionalism. I travel for a living and have never seen or experienced so many issues in one stay at any hotel.
Excellent service I thought I was in Disney world!! Staff was so helpful ans nice. Breakfast was delicious. The pool was ao warm and clean. The rooms were spotless and covid friendly. I am gonna go back in a month.
I think this place has the nicest people working there. not that i'm one to wear face covers do to medical reasons they wear them and have signs everywhere to tell people to cover up. the rooms are great and clean. the pool just got redone and looks nice plus it's open now. some hotels have stopped the breakfast but they came up with food to go process that works great. they have a firepit out back and have wood for you to use also .Emily and her staff are some of the best.
The front desk staff is the best I've encountered. Hotel is conveniently located. Lobby is warm and welcoming, they even had a tree and Christmas decorations. Lovely patio area with grills and firepit. Rooms were nice and relatively clean, but could use a deep clean of ceilings, corners of floor etc. The mattress was just awful and worn- I spend a few months a year in hotels, this was the worst mattress. Everything worked, and was in good condition, just needs a thorough deep clean which is probably lacking due to Covid. Very hospitable staff, would definitely stay again when visiting with family.
I needed a couple of days to unwind during COVID and this was a quiet, nice place. I really enjoyed sitting by the fire in the evening. The staff was very polite. I think the rooms should be a little cleaner, such as the phone and ceilings. All staff should wear face coverings when working in the hallways (housekeeping).
We stayed at this hotel for several reasons but the two primary reasons: 1. The pool was open and many other hotel pools were not open due to Covid. 2. It was close to the creation museum (less than 20 min). The place is more unique than most hotels. Either the owner or gm cares alot more than others. This place has a warmer than average pool, outdoor fire pit, and nice outdoor decorations like a pond. The place inside needs touched up paint wise but other than that it was good. You can tell the place is stayed in alot. That is a good thing.
It was a great stay over a busy Labor Day weekend. The room was nice the beds where very comfortable for a hotel bed. The room was clean. The pool was wonderful. The staff where great Trish was my favorite. She made sure we had everything we needed. Also when they ran out of towels she made sure we got some as soon as they where done. It's was busy but you couldn't really tell. We where always greeted when we where down by the front desk. Emilie was super helpful in the mornings about things to do. We will be staying their again because it's close to my husbands job and my family. Loved it and the staff that helped us. ❤️❤️
We stayed August 25, 2020. The property looks nice and only 20 minutes from the Creation Museum. The indoor pool is small but it is ok. There is a nice patio outside. There were small issues that shouldn't happen, though! There were no extra towels! I asked both the day and night shift. None! How can a hotel not have enough towels? The toilet seat slid around, but the guy at the front desk fixed it. Also, the beds were not comfortable at all. The redeeming quality was that the price was good and they had availability. We will probably not stay there again.
All of the people are so friendly and helpful but Rajar went above and beyond making sure I was greeted every time I walked in or out of the door and if I needed anything he went and got it right away. He made my stay feel like I was surrounded by family at the hotel. I will be back for sure. Thank you again Rajar!!
Where do I start? First, in a NONsmoking hotel, our room was full of cigarette smell. So much so that we could literally smell it in our clothing when we were outdoors. There were ants on the window sill and in our bed. There were a pair of shorts and a belt left in the room from a previous guest and a lighter left beside the bed. The air conditioning unit was extremely loud and when we wiped down the handles, light fixtures, furniture and nightstands, our wipes were filthy. When front desk came to retrieve the previous guests clothing that was left, we asked if there was any disinfectant we could use for our room, and we were given glass cleaner. To say the least, we were HIGHLY dissatisfied with our stay and very concerned about the cleaning practices of this hotel, especially during COVID. We were told we would receive a call from the Manager to receive a better discount on our stay (since they were limited on what they could offer), but we never received that call.
The hotel seemed fine at check in but the room was disgusting. Random hairs on the floor, tub, even 1 in the refrigerator door. Popcorn beside the couch. Dead bugs in the window ledge. Theere was no fitted sheet it was a flat sheet that only went to about a foot from the end of the bed. Variety of weird crop on the floor like a stretchy bracelet/keyring. I never spoke up because I felt like I didn't want to invite anyone who would leave a room like that back in. I just dealt with it from Mon-Fri. It was noisy too. Contractor hotel. Someone kept repeatedly propping the stairwell door open to outside with the rug. Made me feel unsafe.
I was traveling with 2 other couples. Only 1 of the 3 couples didn't have issues other than uncomfortable pillows but my pillow was fine. I put the 1st key I was given in the first King room door to open it but before I even had it open all the way it reeked of smoke in this non-smoking hotel. I didn't even set foot in the room and went back to the front desk for a different room. The 2nd key I put in the door of a different king room had a temp of 82 degrees F. The air-conditioner was broken. However, we already had all our stuff in the room before we realized that issue and we were up on the 3rd floor. Back to the front desk. The exceptional check-in person gave me yet a 3rd key for yet another room but told me she didn't have any King rooms left, hoped this room wouldn't have any problems and gave me a nice discount because of all the issues. This room was not the cleanest and there was garbage behind the chair (soda can and empty plastic bag) but it would do as I was done with trying to get a room as one would expect to get. One of the other couples was put in a room that was absolutely filthy. I would have asked for a different room. She instead, used the wash cloths in the room to clean it up and brought the filthy cloths to the front desk for this exceptional front desk worker to see. She asked my friend if she wanted a different room but she said that she knows this one is clean now because she cleaned it. She too was given a nice discount. After all these issues the employee mentioned to us that the cleaning service has changed hands several times and they haven't been satisfied. She would definitely let the management know of all this additional issues. As for the property, I wish we hadn't had all those problems. The place looks like it's the perfect place to stay with an awesome entry way, lobby, pool and patio. For those reasons I just might check it out again but first I would ask about how satisfied they are with the cleaning crew.
Our stay was a experience the room was very clean and the housekeeping manager Ms.April took care of our needs she went above and beyond for us we travel alot and stay at a lot of hotels she is the first person who treated us like we were old friends we really enjoyed her you need more people like her we will be returning again.Thank you
A front desk walk through in the early hours of the day. We had neighbors in next room fighting and yelling loudly that woke me up at 2:45 and lasted two hours! Really. Language and personal words. I don't deal with that.
Room was excellent service was excellent cleanliness was excellent what can I say it was frickin excellent. The bed was super soft and comfy I did not want to leave. I will be back very is very shortly.
The overall price was great. Great breakfast with a big variety.Hot and cold breakfast choices. The bed was very comfy room was very clean. Hotel is close 2 lots of restaurants and stores close by. Pool was clean and warm. Guest services was wonderful when we had Cheyenne. She was very polite and friendly. She explained all about the hotel. She will make you feel right at home.It started as a kid free night with my husband and I. We liked it soo much we booked a second night with the kids. We will definitely be back for kid free nights or nights out with the kids.
We were traveling with a group of teens. The accommodations were clean and staff very pleasant. Breakfast was typical for hotel. Nothing fancy. Kids were ok with yogurt, cereal and waffles. I have gluten allergy so did not eat as there were no gluten free options. Eggs were available but didn't look appetizing. Kids had sausage and biscuits one day and said that was ok. If you don't find it appealing there is a great Cracker Barrel next door and several other restaurants within walking distance that the kids took advantage of in the evenings.
The Hote offered amazing breakfast with multiple drink choices. The staff was very courteous and kind. Questions were well answered in the best manner and the hotel and rooms were very well kept. Check in and out was also fast and in a timely manner.
Me and my wife decided to take a break away from home. We wanted to get some relaxation and let the kids swim kind of like a quick vacation that being said we looked up Best Western in Harrison,Oh. Sure enough it looked great on line so we chose to stay there. Once we arrived we were greeted with our room keys and an excellent attitude. From the desk clerk. Once we checked in we noticed that it was everything it showed on line . Overall i think i found the perfect hotel affordable and comfortable im very pleased! Best hotel experience I've ever had they were great!
Exceptional staff. Pet friendly. Clean rooms with appropriate amenities. Reasonably priced. Plenty of parking with easy access from the interstate. Additional restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay again.
Overall our stay was very pleasant. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the towels were better than most hotels. The breakfast was very satisfying and the eating area was cozy. The staff from check-in to maid service to breakfast attendant were very friendly.
My family stopped here traveling from Chicago to NC a couple years ago and searched it out again because we had such a great experience. We were not disappointed. Comfortable, welcoming, perfect stop!
We sold our house & couldn't find a new place before we had to move. We came to stay at the Best Western located in Harrison, Ohio. The General Manager Emilie Hayes was absolutely wonderful as well as some of her front desk staff consisting of April Kenney & Cheyenne Petrey along with many other staff members. Also housekeeping Bonny Johnson & William. Everyone made us feel right at home including our dog who loved each & everyone of them as much as he could. Thank you all for making us feel comfortable & welcome, catering to our every need day & night. You guys rock!
My family and I were happy with our visit to the Best Western. The kids had a blast in the warm indoor pool! The staff was very friendly. The hotel was clean and well decorated. This was our third stay at this location.
This was a nice property and the breakfast was excellent. The staff were nice and it was a good value. We only had a problem with the heater not getting the room warm, it was stuck on 70 degrees and we had a snow storm that night.
We stopped here midway through going home on a road trip. We didn't want to go any further and the Best Western had good reviews. The lobby and hallways are clean, making a nice first impression. The room, however, needed a deep cleaning. Multiple areas of the tile floor hadn't been swept. The carpet didn't appear to be vacuumed. The (decent sized) fridge was visibly dirty and had been leaking into a corner of the cabinet it was in (which was likely what was giving the room it's odd smell). The microwave also had food pieces in it. The ottoman and couch looked worse for wear, like they hadn't been wiped down in a long time. The bed was clean, but the pillows were a weird type of chopped memory foam. The bathroom sink looked newer, but the shower was peeling and had small hairs in it. We didn't eat breakfast because it looked ok, but not appetizing after other concerns about cleanliness. The bananas and clementines they had out were past ripe. We mentioned our concerns to the person at the front as we checked out. She was nice, yet explained away our comments by saying they had a new housekeeping staff and they were still training them. This less than satisfactory stay still cost us over $120. If you're on the road, push on to the next town. (No pictures because we rolled in late and got out of there as soon as we could in the morning).
My wife and I stayed after a wedding, and had a satisfying night here. We had a king bed, and enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. Staff was accomodating. Would love to have been able to sit in the back by the fire pit, but we arrived too late.
We loved the enclosed back patio with fire pit & grills. Nicole at the front desk was very helpful & friendly. Quite area so we were able to get a good night's rest. Restaurants & grocery store nearby. Only thing I would suggest to improve would be a larger laundry area. They just have a small stackable washer/dryer. There is a laundromat nearby. An overall great stay! Will definitely go back when working in that area.
This place has all you need , clean, friendly staff, good food, pool, and a nice fire pit out back to relax. Emily at the front desk is such a nice person to talk to and the the food area is always clean as soon as someone gets up from the table she is there to clean it for the next guest.the location is great just off the highway enough you don't have the noise and close to alot of resturants.
The best in the region. Have been using this Hotel for almost one year now. The service is best in class, staff is always willing to help with efficiency and courtesy. Remke market , Fitness center and restaurants at walking distance from Hotel. Have courtesy admittance to Fitness Center were I go every morning for my workout. In hot weather you can always join the indoor swimming pool. or be in patio outside to get some tan.
I realize that this is nearly impossible to prove, but I got bitten by bed bugs. I believe we stayed in 102 with two queen beds. The room was nice but the bathroom smelled like urine, the sink handles were scummy, and the bathtub was as slippery as ice. And the hair dryer was sparking and looked like it was on fire. I wrote all of this down and left the hair dryer and note at the desk. The girl asked if anything happened, i.e. "did I slip in the tub or start on fire with the hair dryer?" I said no. But this was before I noticed that I received numerous bed bug bites and my husband did not. He slept in the other bed. I know what they are as I have been bitten while traveling overseas. This was the only hotel I stayed in on vacation. I am debating on leaving a negative Google review.
From check in to check out this is one of the nicest cleanest friendliest Best Westerns I've ever stayed in- and I've stayed in quite a few over the years. Our rooms was spotless and in great shape, asked for a late check out and was accomodated without question- other than how late I wanted to check out. Will definitely stay here again if I'm in the Cincy area.
The outdoor area is wonderful although we didn't use it. The room we had was a bit aged but still very clean. The only real negative we had was that the pool had so much chlorine in it that our eyes burned just sitting in the room for 10 minutes. We thought that it would dissipate a little by the next night but it was still way too strong to be in. The location is great since it's not far from Cincinnati, the breakfast was great both mornings and the employees were very friendly.
Our hotel room had no carpeting and the room smelled musty and felt damp. The AC unit was rather loud and the front desk staff was unprofessional by having her boyfriend hang out during her shift. They ate pizza, discussed cigarettes, and used profanity. The housekeeping staff entered our room twice in one day and they do not give you hardly any time to respond before they barge in. We found a spider in our bathroom and a large black cricket in the living area. The beds were okay, very creaky bed frame, and the pillows were terrible. Chlorine in the pool was too strong to even swim. We will not stay here again.
The Best Western in Harrison, Ohio. Exit 1 off of Interstate 74 is clean, welcoming with many amenities for the price. Helpful, friendly staff made our anniversary celebration very nice. A hot tub in the spacious suite made for a wonderful celebration of our wedding anniversary.
After making a reservation two days in advance to stay at this hotel for the night, on our way to NC, they called to tell us that the hotel was overbooked therefore they were canceling our reservation. We called them in advance that night to tell them we were getting there later in the night because we were driving from Michigan. The front desk agent reassured my husband that our room was available and ready for us. It was at around 10:39 we got the call from them to tell us our reservation was canceled because they had overbooked the hotel. We had our reservation confirmation and they had already ran our credit card to hold our room. I can't describe how we felt especially when we had been driving long hours and we were really tired and just wanted to get there to rest. I would never recommend a place that treat their customers the way this hotel treated us. Will never stay at this chain of hotels anymore.
Really friendly staff at check in. They were laughing and having fun with guests. The room was clean, furnishings newer, and bed was very comfortable. They had an outdoor area with fire pit, koi pond, and umbrellas. Definitely will return!
We just returned from a short stay here. I booked a block of rooms for my husband's 50th anniversary reunion for him and his Vietnam Veteran brothers. Kat took care of everything and was super friendly and very responsive to all my questions. Once there, the front desk staff were SUPER! Emilie, Nicole and Hayley were always there with smiling faces and great attitudes. Emilie can do it all! Make breakfast, clean up, maintenance ... you name it she could do it! Other staff members were great also. No problems there at all!!! The outdoor seating area was an added benefit so we could sit around and talk and relax. I would definitely recommend this hotel!!!
Upon checking into the room with my husband and son, the entry room and bathroom floor was disgusting. I literally sprayed hand sanitizer on the floor and mopped it up with a white towel. The bathroom was dirty and it looked like the area under the sink hadn't been mopped in months. It was horrible to know that we were supposed to have entered a clean room. The room smelled musty. I took the towel to the front desk and the employee didn't seem too fazed about the dirtiness. I asked her to either give me something to clean the floor or if she could ask someone from the hotel to clean it. She offered to clean the room and she sprayed some cleaner on the floor and cleaned it up with a Swiffer type mop. The next night we needed towels and housekeeping informed me that they didn't have towels to give us because we didn't want our room cleaned. I mentioned it to the front desk employee (same employee as the night before) and she said she would get us some. No towels two hours later, so I called back down to the front desk and I was told the hotel was completely booked and low on towels but she would get them to me when she could, I offered to go downstairs to get the towels. The stay was made pleasant by the employee that worked the breakfast. She was very nice, engaging and made sure everything was nice and clean in the breakfast area.
very friendly people nice and clean would highly recommend this place alot of restaurants nearby it was quiet the staff was amazing they went above and beyond to get what we needed it is kid friendly.
The front desk service was fantastic! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful which was especially a joy after a long car trip. Everything was sparkling clean and there was a wide variety of breakfast items. Would highly recommend!!
Very friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. On the last morning we had to get up at 3 am to catch a plane and they opened up the breakfast area for us 3 hours early. Would like to see lounge chairs added to the pool and bbq areas as it was nice to kick back and enjoy the beautiful evenings.
Guests were using the outdoor area/fire pit until 2:30 in the morning making quite a bit of noise right outside our room. We complained to the front desk but they allowed the party to continue. The staff is not trained well on how to manage their guests' needs.
The first thing you notice when you walk in is this great waterfall wall behind the front desk and the smiling and friendly employees in front of it. And it just gets better from there. The people are friendly, the hotel is updated in a somewhat retro fashion, and there's a very nice pool clearly visible from the lobby. What you DON'T see right away is the hidden gem they call the patio. Closed in back yard with plenty of space for the kids to run off that energy, and while they do that, the adults can relax on the plentiful seating including umbrellas for those of us who do not get along with sunlight. They also have a fire pit, and the most wonderful thing - the koi pond. With actual koi. That are alive. And they have food at the front desk if you'd like to feed them. It's beautiful. Like a little Oasis! Beyond that, the people are friendly and helpful, breakfast was all you can eat and plentiful. Well worth the money for sure!
We needed a place for an overnight stay on our roadtrip and this ended up being a wonderful place to stay. Hayley at front desk was awesome and welcoming. She was very kind to help us in getting 2 rooms that were connected for our 2 families with kids. Pool, excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms mad it perfect overnight stay.
The staff was excellent, helpful and accommodating. This is very good location with several restaurants near by. Rooms are larger than expected and the 2 room suites are great. The pool was warm and very clean.
Staff was very helpful. Gluten Free options are not kept stocked and sheets were stained in multiple places. During and toddler sickness at breakfast the cleanup was doing well. I would have been comfortable being the next person using the table.
The hotel staff was excellent! The property was very clean inside and out. The patio and pool were great places to relax. Good location and a lot of restaurants close by. Evening staff was very accommodating and helpful with recommendations!
The hotel gives the appearance of being a nice hotel and it is, however it is looking tired and is in need of some attention to details. The counter tops had ants crawling all over as we were trying to get our breakfast which was not good at all...the room we stayed in had two spiders in each corner of the room...a/c seemed tired and struggled to work..overall the hotel just seemed like it needs some help.
Made reservation around noon and specifically asked if the pool was open, staff indicated it was, but at check-in the pool was closed and staff said it closed in the morning. I understand that pumps fail, but this was a major let down for the kids. Staff reduced price for this inconvenience. Asked for a 1st floor room, but it smelled of bleach so was quickly moved to another. Floors aren't carpeted, I assume for easy cleaning but then they were moist due to the humidity. Room needing a good dusting in the corners near the ceiling where the cob webs were. Breakfast was good, lots of offerings! Limited seating later in the morning (8:30-9).
We normally have great experiences at Best Westerns but not this time. A clump of hair stuck to the shower wall . Hairs in the bed. Inside of microwave had bits of food. Thick dust on top of microwave. Some type of crusty stuff stuck to bed skirt. Smear of something on door at the handle. GROSS!!!!! The AC unit made a very loud humming and rattling noise which kept waking us up. We got in late and we're told we got the last room so there wasn't an option of asking for another room. We let the front desk know at check out the next morning and the clerk didn't even apologize. She just said she would let the cleaning staff know. Very poor experience!
A little pricey for me but we needed a place that accepted pets and needed a pool for the grandkids so we stayed anyway. Rooms were relatively clean but needed a good dusting. Slept well, had no issues with the comfort of the bed or outside noise. Breakfast was great. Probably one of the best I have had. Huge variety of foods and drinks. Only downside was lack of seating space but not a huge deal.
arrived late. first room given smelled bad of urine. Front desk was very apologetic and gave us a new room - thank God they had one. the tub was so slippery and dangerous i nearly fell was terrified of a fall. very disappointing place. A/C and beds were fine.
This is an older hotel but it is clean and quiet. it's far enough from the freeway that there is no road noise. Located adjacent to a shopping center, there is a Cracker Barrel a block down the road. The breakfast is typical - nothing special. The staff were friendly and the rates were quite reasonable.
Had a great experience staying here. Great breakfast variety! Excellent customer service. They provided everything for us when we needed it. I would defently go back to this hotel and stay again. Very nice.
It was a very nice hotel. Super friendly employees. We booked through Nina, she was very helpful and super easy to get ahold of, great customer service! We will be going back back next season for sure!
Called the hotel to make a 1 night reservation for our annual couples skiing trip and was told by the gentleman on the phone they normally wouldn't do it since they were only taking reservations for 2 night minimum stay but since we were booking 3 different rooms they could possibly do it but would need his supervisor to override when she came in the morning. Lady calls the next morning taking my card payment information and books our rooms. Same lady calls back a few hours later and says they have decided to cancel our reservation since we did not book 2 night minimum stay. Poor customer service to call and take our payment information then turn around and cancel our reservation. We will no longer be staying with this hotel when we come to Ski a Perfect North Slopes
Issues with power in lobby. Pool was cold, pool ROOM was cold. Even after power was restored the pool was cold and the room it was in. No coffee one morning. The room smelled like smoke. The bathtub was in disrepair. This hotel is also pet friendly, which I don't mind , unless someone leaves their yapping dog in their room all night. If you don't have a fan, GOOD LUCK! We wouldn't have gotten any sleep without ours to drown out the noise of people walking around upstairs, and the yapping dog. The staff was nice, and no offense to anyone on staff. This place needs some attention. Go somewhere else because the extra PLUS you pay here, isn't worth it.
Chose this hotel due to ski package and area. Great hotel! Very nice staff went above and beyond! Nice breakfast. Enjoyed the pool. Only thing that would have made it better is if the hotel had a hot tub.
I enter the hotel behind 2 other rooms of people. I sat in the waiting area/lounge until it was my turn to be serviced. The entire lobby was freezing. The two groups both had complications with their rooms. (Unsure of who was to blame) but as I was prepared I found the inconvenience annoying. I got checked in and the manager happed to walk behind the counter and stopped to help her front desk. She seemed rushed and disorganized. I got to my room and checked all the areas per usual to establish my room was clean. The sink and shower needed to be cleaned/ scrubbed from build up. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was gross. I am not picky and I found it hard to eat most of the food enjoyably. I had tried many of the options and ended up leaving to get breakfast somewhere else. Check out was speedy.
We stayed here three nights and found the room to be a nice size, comfortable, clean, and quiet. We ate the free breakfast and, although it is a fairly typical motel breakfast, there was a nice selection to choose from, including rotating proteins.
We stayed a single night and were surprised that the hotel was so new and current. I was pleasantly surprised that the floors in our room were tile. It just seems so much cleaner! That said, the temperature in room was cooler and a rug would have been nice beside the bed. Mattress was very firm. A pillow top mattress would be nicer. Apt. size refrigerator and microwave in each room was wonderful. TV was large and had an exceptional picture! Best of all, our fur baby stayed for $20! Staff were very friendly and when we discovered our heat wasn't working we were moved across the hall as conveniently as possible. Pool was really nice with a fenced in backyard and even a bbq and tables available. Since the pool closed at 10:00, I suggest they reserve 1 hour in the late evening (10:00- 11:00) for adult only swims. The hotel was close to restaurants and some shopping. Very nice spot for a visit to Perfect North!
The staff was most helpful in getting us settled, finding us a super place to eat and finding our way a round the area..had a great room ( very quiet and safe) plenty of parking as well as easy to get to from the interstate
Were there with a bus tour and a handicapped individual. The handicapped room was perfect for us. The full breakfast had lots of choices and was quite good. The dining area was spacious which was important for our group.
My church group stayed here one night. We were visiting The Ark Encounter in Kentucky. The hotel itself was clean, good breakfast, fire pit out back. What really made it, however, was the sole desk clerk, the only staff on duty at the hotel in fact (which was ridiculous!), was Sammi Jo. One room was not clean and with no other room to move them to, she cleaned it. She handled herself so professionally the whole time. I had forgotten the plug to charge my iPhone and she graciously loaned me one, even offering to bring it up to my room, even with this her being the only employee there. I was going down anyway so picked it up. She remained calm and cheerful under pressure of having so many of us there. I just cannot say enough about her as there are so many praiseworthy things when she could have gone the opposite direction, lost her cool and at least become snippy with the guests. Certainly we have all experienced employees who do that. Anyway, Best Western, I hope you appreciate this young woman! Shout out to Sammi Jo!!
Worst hotel stay in quite a while. We just needed a place to stay to break up a long drive home from the east coast. This hotel had a reasonable price, and we booked through the BW web site. The room's tile floors were cold and uncomfortable. Square, flat little pillows with too few covers on the bed and no extra blanket in the room. And the walls were paper-thin. You heard every voice and every television in the rooms around you; every footstep in the room above you. The night manager argued with the people in the room next door at 3:30am. A very bad experience.
We used the Whitewater Inn to stay outside of Oxford for Miami's Family weekend. The rates were better and it was close to several shopping and dining establishments. The guests in the room above us were quite loud, but the staff was kind, courteous, and extremely helpful and efficient.
The hotel and room looked, and probably was very clean, but the musty smell was rather distracting, as was the rattling air conditioner that sounded as if a gale was blowing outside. The breakfast, too, was disappointing, although I liked the "fried" eggs. The fruit and pastries, which should be the centerpiece of a continental breakfast, were totally lacking.
Very comfortable bed! Only problem was, there needed to be a step to get up into the king size bed. The room was nice and clean and very quiet. Its pretty secluded from places to eat. There is a farm supply store next door and a home depot across the street. Its a great place for a one night stay as you travel. Its only a few miles from the Indiana/Ohio border and not too far north of Cincinnati. The breakfast was good and there was a microwave to heat your food up but the food was served up hot.
Our stay here was very nice. The hot breakfast is great and or room was clean. We have stayed here many times and will continue to if our travels bring us this way again. This is a great location for visiting Cincinnati!!
I stayed at this location while I was teaching a class at UC. The room was great. Convenient location near lots of restaurants which helped considering I flew in to Cincinnati and had to use a taxi to get anywhere. It was nice to be able to walk to get some grub. The hotel is close enough to the highway that you can get right on it and head wherever your heart desires but it's far enough from the highway that you do not hear the highway traffic. We really enjoyed the area out back with the fire pit and grills. It was cool to be able to relax outside of the room. You felt more at home that way. The front desk girl, Meghan, was superb. She made our check in and checkout super easy. She was great to talk with and she cracked jokes (and was actually really funny). She made us feel right at home and comfortable. She even took the time to ask about our trip and what our plans were even though we could tell she was extremely busy. It's hard to find staff like that at a hotel-we travel a lot so we've encountered all kinds of employees. Overall, a wonderful stay. We will stay here again next time we are teaching in Cincinnati. Thank you!
Heading home from a long vacation with family and didn't want to drive the 13 hours home non stop. Called Best Western and booked a reservation 5 hours from home. Asked to reserve a crib for our 2 Year old as well. The price was nice and only 18 miles outside of Cincinnati so no busy congested roads. Very friendly staff and nice clean room.
I highly recommend Whitewater Inn. My family enjoyed our stay there. The staff are very friendly. Our room was bigger than I expected. The out door area was amazing. I sent some time out there before we checked out.
The hotel was easy to find, great food and shopping nearby. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was helpful and friendly. The WiFi worked great and plenty of channel choices on the TV. The breakfast was a little better than your average hotel breakfast.
Clean and comfortable hotel. Had a problem with our room at check-in (AC Unit wasn't working) and Kelly at the desk rode right up on the elevator with keys for a new room - that's service. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious. Near a shopping center, so many local food options. Quiet hotel, great breakfast with friendly staff. Would love to stay here again on my next visit!
We came in a group of 4, so a two queen bed room was the perfect size. Staff was really friendly, even when we had a few issues with check in, they were very helpful and patient. our room was overall clean, besides a few questionable hairs on our bed... and I would advise you to bring your own pillow, the ones provided are very uncomfortable. If you are a sleeper that is sensitive to light, there are no curtains to block out the light from the parking lots right across from the hotel, so your room is pretty much lit up enough so that you can see everything in the room. The hotel did not smell like smoke, and had a really nice area in the back by the pool where you can grill some food, relax by a little fire pit, and enjoy the fresh air. The breakfast was like any other breakfast, good! great coffee, and they even had a yogurt station to make your own yogurt bowls. Check out was incredibly easy. I would definitely go here again. There were many food options for lunch and dinner around the hotel also.
We stayed at the Whitewater Inn while traveling home from visiting family. We were traveling with our 4month old, 36lb golden doodle and needed a place that would allow larger dogs. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff and cleanliness of this hotel. It was the the cleanest hotel that we stayed at on our trip. We would definitely stay here again!
Room was clean and comfortable. Microwave used to cook our frozen dinners. Fridge nice and cold, kept our freezer packs ready for our cooler the next day. All amenities present, working and clean. Indoor pool overlooks outdoor fountain, with door to patio, very nice. Staff is fabulous. Easy walk to eating establishments and grocery store. Wonderful stay.
Staff were very accommodating to get us in the type of room we asked for. Room was clean, well furnished, comfy beds. Fire pit and pool area were nice. Breakfast was good. Not great, but more than adequate.
So easy to reserve multiple rooms! Also a very nice breakfast buffet. New facilities and great rooms. Walking distance to several restaurants. Our swim team from Michigan was very pleased! Thanks for a great night.
Very friendly staff. Super quick check-in and check-out. Room was very roomy, very up to date, and extremely clean. Ground floor rooms have hardwood floor rather than carpet, and we loved it. Very well designed mini-fridge and nice microwave. Very comfortable desk chair and made my work much more pleasant. Wireless access was easy and very quick. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
My son and I stayed a few days at the Best Western Whitewater, the hotel was clean and the staff was attentive, we felt safe. Donna prepared a delicious hot breakfast with a warm greeting for the guest. The fire pit was a nice ending to a good day with a relaxing pool and grill area. We look forward to our next stay.
Here are the 5 things I look at when I walk into a hotel room. 1) Does it smell? No 2) Is it physically clean? Yes 3) Can I walk barefoot on the carpet? Yes 4) How comfortable is the bed? Very 5) Are the walls paper thin? No Great breakfast buffet and great staff. I will be back
Will definitely stay here if I am in this location, the rooms are nice and clean the staff is personable and friendly, the breakfast is hot and the food was good, Such a refreshing experience to get a hotel of this quality
I recently had a group of 14 rooms and the ladies who carries our luggage were outstanding. They did a wonderful job! Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. I would not hesitate to stay there with a group again.
Will definitely stay again! Friendly, courteous staff at reception counter. The rooms were nice and also clean. The continental breakfast had many choices and the hot food was hot! :) Also, the area was very clean. Great job by ALL who are employed there!!!
I stayed at this location for 10 weeks straight for work training and never had a bad experience. All staff was very helpful and pleasant. Kelly was by far my favorite. Extremely nice and helped with anything we needed!
I came with my buddy to visit his son at Miami in Oxford. I'm so glad we chose this hotel. Megan at check in was extremely kind and warm. She made sure I had everything I needed and greeted me every time I came in or went out. That was very nice and you don't get that genuine hospitality much anymore these days. The rooms were very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The fire pit out back was a very pleasant extra. My only suggestion is to maybe clean the pool more often. I will definitely stay here anytime I come in to the area. Keep up the great work!
Have stayed here for about five months now on business and Kelly who works front desk always gives outstanding customer service! When she's working there is always a warm welcome with a smile on her face and that definitely is what your looking for when staying at any hotel. I will definitely recommend Best Western to all family and friends and work associates because of the outstanding customer service Kelly provides for the company. Chris Cowens
Our room was clean and had comfortable beds. We were pleased with the way the bathroom looked. There were no signs of mildew which is always a big negative for us. The breakfast was good! My husband always wants to stay where there is a fitness room so glad about that. This is a
It was a horrible stay. It started with the shower curtain being broken and having to fix that. Then it was the fact that the heater wasn't working. We set it to 68 and woke up in the middle of the night to a steamy 77 degrees! Finally, I realized in the morning that I had been bitten by a bed bug! We took the bug to the front desk as proof and they were extremely apologetic. They comped the room and offered us another, but there was no way I was staying another night.
Great place! Easy, nice, convenient and confortable! And very inexpensive! Loved that they allow dogs. Def two thumbs up from me. Easy to find. The beds were REALLY comfortable. Rooms are large. Close to many restaurants.
One of the better motel breakfasts ive had, very polite and curtious staff except for one of the night clerks complaining to one of the other clerks about a fellow employee. Interior appears to be well kept
There was a fictitious air control unit in the room. So our sleep was compromised due to being overheated. Food at breakfast buffet was very average. However the pool was great for th kids. Was hard to find a place to eat nearby without an hour wait, as there wasn't much option and it was holiday season.
This hotel was very nice with a nice size refrigerator and microwave in room. Beds were very comfy. The breakfast had plenty offer most people. I have Celiac disease so I don't have many options. However, here were eggs, sausage and gluten free cereal. Oh, and their coffe was amazing! We really enjoyed our stay!
Good for an overnight. Very small rooms and tiny closet. Clean attractive lobby. Breakfast selection was decent. Drawbacks: hotel staff looked bored checking us in, propping head up on hand, little to no eye contact. 2 women stood looking at the computer, while we were the only people checking in. No hello, nothing.
Great place to stay. Spent 4 days while having medical work done in Cincinnati. Great Staff, very friendly and helpful, had problem with TV which was fixed immediately. Very nice suite with comfortable beds. Close to restaurants.
everything was very clean and up to date in the room. The jet tub was a true delight. However the mattress on the bed was the most uncomfortable mattress I've ever slept in. Way too firm. Other than that it was great!
hotel is close to my destination for business and has breakfast included. rooms are large and all have been remodeled in the last few years. staff is very friendly and knowledgably on surrounding businesses.
It was a last minute booking. Bed was comfy and food was great. Staff late at night friendly! Will see book here again in the future. Close to indiana, my and Ohio and Miami white water and mitchell memorial Forrest is close by as well! My hubby likes to ride his bicycle so this was the perfect location!
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We travel a lot for business and pleasure, and this was one of the best personnel we have encountered in a long time. We recommend this hotel, and definitely will stay here again.
Great place to spend the night. Great staff, clean room, plenty to eat at breakfast, and a friendly staff. Easy to find, many restaurants in the area to have dinner. There is a Home Depot next door to visit if you just want to walk around.
Excellent hotel option for the area. Very reasonable and comfortable. I enjoyed the location of this hotel--nearby to the interstate but not in the noise area. There are many restaurant options nearby. This hotel is located approximately 30 min form Miami University so a great option for those attending functions there.
This Best Western is a Great place to stay! It is at a Convenient location. There are at least three Great restaurants located within walking distance, Cracker Barrel, O'Charlies, Buffalo Wild Wings. All of the Main Fast Food Chain Restaurants are located near by as well. The stay at this Best Western was pleasant. The breakfast was great. The Rooms were clean and very nice. Overall very pleased at this location. This area is an every year stop for me so I will be using this location again and again.
If you want a clean place and a staff that really cares about your stay then this is the place. rooms are amazingly clean and the hotel itself is spotless plus the breakfast is also good. Megan and Sheri are amazing to deal with.
First off, nice and clean hotel. Friendly staff. Especially the girl who works the morning shift, think her name was Maggie or Megan, was terrific. Real witty and sweet girl. Great employee. Made my day with our morning banter. Couldn't ask for much for than that. Breakfast was the usual hotel options, but this Best Western seemed to change the variety every day which was refreshing. Wish I would have been able to use the fire pit and grills outside. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it. Beds were pretty comfy. Next time I am in the area I will definitely be staying here.
Great place! Megan the front desk girl was wonderful. We had made our reservation for the wrong day and she was able to handle it for us. She was a real sweetheart. Even let us check in early. The room was great-really clean. Loved the fried eggs in the morning. So nice compared to the scrambled eggs that I felt were a little watery in my opinion. We enjoyed the fire pit as well. Will stay again.
Reserved a group of rooms for a group of friends and family. Patti and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Loved having a fire pit to hang out at. They even had a grill for guests to use. Breakfast was fine with a decent selection.
If you are looking for a clean comfortable place to stay this fits the bill. Great variety at breakfast, clean rooms and updated with latest decor and amenities. Good friendly staff and easy to find with plenty of food options around.
Stayed here for about 4 days and it was a good experience. The bed was pretty comfortable which says a lot for a guy with a bad back. Rood was a good size and looked newly remodeled. Close to a lot of restaurants also. I think you will like it.
My family (5 adult siblings and their spouses) came to this hotel because we were going to see the Creation Museum and the Ark Experience. We found this location to be perfect for these attractions. There were also a lot of nice places to eat nearby. I made reservations here a few months before we came and I was very impressed by the friendly and helpful people I spoke with. I knew the hotel had been recently remodeled and when we arrived, I was not disappointed. The rooms were spacious, modern, and very clean. I was especially impressed by the T.V. remote having been cleaned and presented in a cloth bag on the counter. I also like having a microwave and a frig in the room. The breakfast food was wonderful - lots of choices and always kept full. I loved the yogurt machine and various toppings! Our family played cards in the lobby and brought our own snacks and the staff made us feel like family. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, yet professional. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. Our stay couldn't have been any nicer.
Went to Harrison OH to Visit Family and would give this Hotel 5 Stars except found the Bed and Couch miserably uncomfortable. The Staff were very Nice and Helpful and even got Me a Shower Chair, enjoyed the Breakfast and the Hotel is close to other Resturants. I enjoyed My visit with My family and the Room was Clean Comfortabe to Visit with the Family.
a little difficult to find as it is located toward the back of a shopping mall area. However, that helped reduce traffic noise from the highway. Close to restaurants and shopping. Gas stations close by as well. Pool was nice but on the small size.
Best hotel I've ever stayed in and I've stayed in a lot of hotels. Best service and breakfast and cool outside seating with a fire pit. The front desk clerk was the sweetest lady, she let my daughter touch the water wall that made her night
The place is clean and updated. The Breakfast was FULL! B&G, sausage, waffles, and toppings bar, a Yogurt machine, among other perks. There was plenty of seating in the lobby and the beds are SO comfortable. We will be back for sure!
Everyone at the hotel was great. They went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. Check-in was fast and so was check-out. The rooms was nice and because we had 1 room that kind of had a slight smoke smell they allowed us to take a different room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who was staying in this town.
We had a accessible room with a roll in shower. It was acceptable for one night, a little dated in furnishings. Breakfast was very good next morning. However both the day and night staff were very helpful. One gave us a shortcut through Harrison to our Cincinnati destination. Bed was fine. We drove in from the INDY airport escaping Hurricane Irma 9-7-17 and were dead tired.
This hotel provided a clean room and we were met by nice staff. The room had ample space and the room temperature was good. The hotel is in a good area with easy access to the highway. I would recommend this hotel to someone who needed a clean place to spend the night.
This hotel chain will be the only one we stay at going forward! This was better than the higher dollar hotels in the area by far! our family stayed here for a visit to creation and the ark museum, and the hotel also had a large bus group that was staying here, and the breakfast area was busy, but the lady taking care of breakfast was on top of her game! She did awesome. Will stay here again!
What a wonderful experience in a very stressful time. The front desk lady's were so helpful and kind. Our breakfast was delicious. Our room cleaners couldn't be more thorough. Wow truly a blessing if you need to be anywhere near here for a room. RUN don't walk and get to this location
Had a great experience with our stay at this hotel.Super comfortable bed,the whole room was really clean,it was nice and quiet and the staff was great.Any time in the future that we're even close to this area, this will be the hotel we'll be staying at.
First of all, I was unable to book online so forced to use the BW reservation service. While they were contacting the property and then attempting to properly sync my business rewards account, the room that was being "held" for me was booked out rom beneath me and I was forced into a queen instead of a king. Also the rate which was $86 when I had looked online a week earlier was increased to $107. I only hope it was nor because of the influx of Florida evacuees that I had seen flooding I-65 and I-75 heading North. The room itself was very well appointed including a new and large flat screen TV, and very clean although a bit cramped. The exercise room was well above average for a property in this price range. There is a very nice patio area and the pool was also very nice although small and surprisingly, there was no hot tub. Front desk staff was very friendly. Breakfast? Usual BW fare; powdered scrambled eggs, pre=prepared biscuits and gravy, etc. What totally shocked me though was opening the buffet server labeled "sausage" only to find sliced hot dogs. Yep - you read that right. Unbelievable. If they ran out, just move on. But trying to pass hot dogs off as sausage? SMH. So indeed a mixed bag. Based on priorities, I'm giving this a 4 when 3.5 would be more accurate, but it really is a shame as they could be a 5 with just a little effort.
Motel appears to be new...beautiful condition, spotlessly clean, many amenities. Staff very helpful, great breakfast. Has a pool, business area. Very comfortable beds...all in all ....great value, highly recommended.
This hotel was such a nice experience. Very comfortable, clean, peaceful. Nice décor and color schemes! Friendly guests. Everyone loved my boyfriend's car, which sparked up a few conversations. Didn't get to utilize the fire pit, but I like the idea of that amenity. Our room had a refrigerator ( it's the little things that mean so much) :) We checked in on a Saturday,The woman at the front desk had blonde hair,( cant remember her name) she acted in a professional manner. Enjoyed this hotel, would definitely visit again.
The staff at this hotel are awesome, they really go the extra mile to ensure guests are happy. A special shout out to Megan, Patty, and Holly. You gals made my stay so much more pleasant. Thank you!!!
Very clean, nice staff, excellent place to stay, wish they were all that way. The breakfast was eggs, sausage, bisects and gravy along with all the cereals. All the staff was friendly but the main think I look for is a good clean hotel and this was.
Rooms were excellent and extremely clean. Breakfast was good. Patti, Megan & Donna were lovely. Always so friendly and personable. Only fault is our group was large and the breakfast area could be a bit bigger. Would stay again and would recommend.
We took a group of senior citizens to the Creation Museum and The Ark. Most were in their late 80's. The staff went out of their way and even measured the height of the bed for the handicapped accessible room. The breakfast was delicious! And it was constantly being restocked. Every evening we gathered in the lobby to have snacks and Kelly was so kind to all of us. I recommend this hotel for a family or a group.
Dangerous walking thru lobby from pool water from pool area. And dangerous walking to patio thru the pool area. Poor design. Not safe for us older generation. Staff is friendly tho. Mattress was uncomfortable to me.
We celebrated our 50th Anniversary by having a family gathering at this hotel that is only 20 minutes from the Creation Museum & about an hour from the Ark encounter. It is easy to find off the interstate. Several restaurants very close by. Rooms clean & beds comfortable. Breakfast had scrambled eggs & sausage every morning, not just on the weekend. Items were kept well supplied. Suite 105 was very spacious to accommodate gathering our whole family Would recommend this hotel.
Location is perfect for visiting Cincinnati....not too far to drive for a visit without being right in the heart of things. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good and area kept clean. Would stay there again without hesitation.
It was very nice nice. It had a little pool, but my kids still loved it. We had breakfast every morning that was just enough to get us going. It wasEasy to get to and quietly located in a smaller section of the town.
Excellent location, clean, indoor pool, fitness center, outdoor patio with fire pit. The staff is friendly, smiling, and hard working. The hotel is close to good restaurants, shopping, the Park, and convenient to all major activities for the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky experience. Highly, highly recommend.
I never give high scores because there is always room for improvement. We did not have a TV when we checked in and had to wait 3 nights before we received a TV. Manager promised to give us a discount every day we were without a TV. When we checked out the discount was not on the bill. I notified the Manager who apologized and fixed the bill quickly. Overall the Experience was good, the beds was comfortable, the Jetted Tub had plenty of Hot Water. I would recommend a small desk and chair in the main room. There was a desk in the bedroom but one would have been nice in the main room as well. This was a very nice suite. The housekeeper was very nice with our requests.
The staff was very helpful and eager to please at hotel. Let us check in a bit early and then gave our group adjoining rooms, even though we had booked separately. Our keys kept getting demagnetized, but they were patient with us. One front desk employee even walked up to our room to let us in.
Excellent value and location. Very friendly staff. Nice hotel. Had fire pit and BBQ. Close to Creation Museum and Arc Encounter and also to restaurants and some limited shopping. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Staff was helpful, everything was clean and hotel had a good location for numerous places to eat or shop. We had 5 rooms and everyone was pleased with their stay. Lots of parking and nice pool area. Kids enjoyed it
Rooms are clean, serviceable, and functional. Served our needs and breakfast was adequate for our needs as well. Would stay here again in the future. Nearby locations for food and drinks were the other reason we chose this hotel and we were happy with those as well.
Our stay here was very pleasant with a great hot breakfast and good coffee. The staff was helpful with suggestions for a place to dine and when my husband left his eye glasses they were willing to send to our home. The hotel provides nice updated clean rooms, a nice pool and an outdoor patio and fire pit.
Picked this hotel based on the reviews. Was not disappointed. Went to the Aquarium, Creation Museum & Ark Encounter from this location. Several restaurants close by. Breakfast bar was great. We had 3 rooms close to each other so our kids & grandkids could run back and forth to visit. Nice pool. Staff was pleasant & helpful.
I like how Best Western has re-branded themself; nice looking hotel, nice breakfast and comfortable beds. Nice patio area with waterfall, grills, perfect for lounging with friends. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again.
Nice employees, clean room, and breakfast was hot and plentiful. I would stay here again on my next trip. And The Great American Ball Park is great!!!! Parked at a garage on 3rd and Broadway, easy in and out. Also about 20 min. ride to the Creation Museum.
Room was very modern and clean, staff was very nice, and the breakfast was awesome!! One of the best rooms I have stayed in for the price, pool area was very nice and one of my favorite things was the lounge area in the back with the fire pit, so relaxing
Rooms clean, comfortable, large. Staff helpful and friendly. Pleasure trip to visit Ark and Creation Museum. Convenient location with restaurants nearby. Very enjoyable stay and would highly recommend.
This hotel was extremely accommodating, clean, and had a tremendous staff. Breakfast was awesome! Also, the rooms were very well taken care of. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying, especially multiple nights.
Had a minor glitch on booking the room over the internet and booked 2 rooms. They took it off reluctantly. We were unable to use the pool and outdoor fire pit due to groups using it. Our kids were disappointed but we let them swim in the morning. Overall, it was a good stay.
Very nice rooms. Fitness center was quite small. Internet and direcTV was good. The breakfast could have included additional healthier choice options. The lady who checked me in was very nice and was done with no issues. Would recommend hotel to anyone traveling through the area.
The breakfast, front desk, and cleaning staff were extremely helpful and kind for my stay on May 20, 2017. The indoor pool, fridge and micro in room, and breakfast made it worth the price. My family had fun. Thank you.
Had a block of 18 rooms with 35 guests. Our needs were always top priority and the service was wonderful. Would definitely stay again. The breakfast was kept well-stocked both mornings. Some very good eateries close by.
Very disappointed in your pricing. We booked first night via BW reservation desk with Costco discount, happy to pay $89+tax. We liked the motel and added remaining two nights in Cincy area. Front desk clerk simply typed it in and said we were good to go. However, I was SHOCKED to see that motel billed us $99 for second night and $189 for third night. I was told that $189 is weekend rate, and when I pressed on this, desk clerk gave us $40 off. In total, I paid $70+tax more than I had budgeted. WHY WAS I NOT TOLD THAT WEEKEND RATE WAS DOUBLED? WHY WAS COSTCO RATE NOT AUTOMATICALLY APPLIED? This was very disappointing, and I felt misled. You have a very, very nice motel, great service, clean and updated facility and rooms ... but your pricing leaves a bad taste. I learned a lesson in all this.
Room was clean and up to date. Front desk employees were very accommodating. Hotel was quiet and easily accessed from the Interstate. The only negative observation I would make is the same observation I would make for most hotels is the noisy A/C unit. Most likely credited to the fact that we don't have an A/C unit in our bedroom at home.
We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour group visiting "The Ark Encounter" and the "Creation Museum". The desk staff was courteous, welcoming and handled our check-in and check out with ease. The morning breakfast was great and the breakfast area was clean and well maintained. The room was clean, well furnished and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Thanks to Sheri, arrangements were made with ease and we look forward to staying there again on a future trip. GREAT PLACE TO STAY!
The room was very clean and I was surprised that there were two TV's. We had the suite with the Hot tub. I was impressed with the heated pool and the outdoor fire pit and seating area. Breakfast was so good and the breakfast staff was very engaging and polite. I would recommend this facility to my customers here at AAA.
My family stayed for three nights over a weekend. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was very good with lots of options. My son has gluten and dairy allergies and the woman in charge of breakfast over the weekend went out of her way to make his breakfast not only safe but enjoyable for him. Her service and care were exceptional. The front desk workers and housekeeping were also very pleasant and eager to help with anything. The water in the indoor pool was warm and my husband and sons also used the outdoor firepit. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is in a nice area with lots of restaurants and several supermarkets. The highway is close, making travel convenient. We visited The Creation Museum which was about 20 minutes away, and the Ark Encounter, which was almost an hour away. The hotel building itself seems a little old with some normal wear and tear, but nothing that affects your comfort or stay.
The air/heat was not working properly, as the temp remained at 75 degrees all night. Thought we had changed the temp on the wall unit, to no avail, then the wall thermostat at 2:30 am, no luck. The bed was excellent, as was the light control due to the valance on the window that kept the light out.
The location is close to any number of restaraunts. It is only 30 min. From Cincinnati. The room was nicely furnished and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the indoor pool which was clean and water was nice and warm.
we will come back but hopefully next time the pool experience will be better. the overall experience was very good staff excellent nice location. love the outside fire and sitting area food was good beds very comfy walking to area restaurants excellent again very nice and love the price grand daughters loved the evening out and will recommend to family and friends posted a great experience on facebook thanks karen
Staff was very accommodating and hotel was extremely clean. Breakfast was very good. We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. Rooms were mostly tiled which was great for cleanliness. I would highly recommend this hotel.
This hotel was clean and had a friendly staff. My overall experience was great. Its location was perfect for the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. The breakfast was great for the kids. The kids loved the indoor pool and fitness center.
Rooms were beautiful and very clean! I was very impressed with how modern everything was. We felt like we were in a luxurious hotel! Hotel staff were more than accommodating, friendly and caring. They let us take some breakfast at 5am because we had to leave before it opened at 6am - I greatly appreciated that!
By the time I found out the dates for my twin daughters mom weekend at Miami University everything close was booked. Booked this hotel because of the really good reviews. What a BUMMER! I was in room #104 on the first floor with a window that looks onto the gathering place outside, when I closed the cheap blackout drapes they were covered with holes. The bathroom, that looked to be recently renovated had the strangest tiling in the shower - many tiles jutted out and they pattern was all strange. Finally, they had wood grained tile on the floors throughout the room. Do you have any idea what it sounds like when the person above you walks on those tiles? On top of it, there was a dog in the room next to me that barked starting at 5:30 a.m....... I will be traveling back to this area for the next three years, but will not stay here again!
Booked this room due to location for a trip from North Carolina to Chicago. Was extremely pleased. Room was immaculate, bed comfortable, room supplies plentiful!! Staff was extremely nice and professional. Great value for the money. Did not eat the continental breakfast but looked around while I got some coffee, great selection however, I am not a breakfast person. Couldn't have been more pleased. This will definitely be a hotel I book again and again when I travel to Chicago!
The bed was a little hard but everything else was awesome! We will definitely be back again soon!! The staff was great. They were helpful and friendly! So much to do there with the fire pits and pool. Also convenient location for everything else.
The room I was assigned had a non-functioning air conditioner but the front desk quickly moved me to a different room. Furnishing were nice and updated. The room was very clean and large. Sleep quality was very good and I would stay here again.
Great place to stay especially if you're attending the Hoinke Classics Tournament in Cinnicinatti. Close enough to drive to the tournament, the casino and other areas of interest like the Cincinnati Zoo or King's Island and a great night's sleep for a good price.
Last minute stay at this hotel on our way back from Gatlinburg. Good Call! Very clean and updated. Didn't try the breakfast, but looked like the others there where enjoying it. Plan to stay there again the next time we travel to Tennessee. Also, a Buffalo Wild Wings is across the street. One of our favorite restaurants.
Unfortunately, due to some confusion, we did not stay here. My mother in law was trying to our family a favor as we were in town to help with a family move. She thought she had booked a room for us but it was for Sunday night instead of Saturday. When we arrived and the guest services manager explained this, she got very upset. The manager, S. Jones, did a tremendous job dealing with an upset customer and immediately had a nearby hotel on the phone booking a room for us. She took care of this extremely fast without blinking. She also quickly calmed down the upset customer. Based on this experience alone, I'd say they have a great staff at this location.
We most frequently stay at Best Westerns and this one ranks among the best. The room was clean, roomy, had a huge TV,was very nicely furnished, and had more than adequate lighting (which isn't always the case). The patio with a fire pit was a really nice extra and the grounds were very attractive. Our only problem was the rather small breakfast area. We easily found a restaurant in the area though for breakfast on the one morning the breakfast room was too crowded and noisy.
Very nice ,clean room, very comfortable bed! Nice breakfast with good variety of choices! Staff was friendly and helpful. We have had many good experiences with Best Westerns, and the Whitewater Inn was no exception! We were pleased.
This was a last minute reservation for our family, however it was reasonable and the amenities were wonderful. Our room was nice, a good breakfast was provided and I also was able to go for a quick swim before checkout time and my roadtrip back home.
Great Service at counter and rooms were clean. Great for Business trips and easy access to highway. I could recommend this hotel to anyone. The Price of rooms were great for extended stays. the only down fall was no laundry facilities
Good place to stay with blocked rooms for my niece's wedding!.. rooms nice, and staff was pleasant. very accommodating. Lobby was clean and inviting, and breakfast sufficed. Didn't feel rushed out and checkout was good
Very friendly and accommodating when we checked in. Room was clean and we did not have any major issues. The refrigerator in the room should have a freezer though. Breakfast was excellent and it was our first time seeing a yogurt machine! :)
I would definitely stay here again. Location was great. We were going to a family reunion in Harrison, so very convenient. Several family members there & @ our request we were all on same floor. would have been nice to have an ice machine on each floor. Family told me breakfast was good. Close to interstate.
I arrived before check in time. Staff went out of their way to get me a room ready. Very friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. Typical morning breakfast nothing fancy but fresh and hot. Outside sitting area very comfortable. Will definitely return.
Clean, comfortable room and bed.. Continental breakfast was very good with staff there to be sure it stayed clean and well-stocked. Pool was small, but open until 10pm...great for the kids to cool off. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Excellent stay for the price.
Service, including the manager was disrespectful and rude. I was hung up on 4 times when making the reservation for my room. With needing a room quickly for a short one night stay, I was rushed off the phone and was given extra charges that I was not expecting. Chargers were outrageously high with a pet fee that was higher than I have ever paid. lighting was terrible form both he door to the hall way, and the connecting. The comfort of the bed was not good causing issues to my neck when waking up. Walls are paper thin and was awaken by both neighbors on either side being extremely loud by 6 am.
most staff friendly and helpful. Love the area out back that has a fountain/firepit and grill. they will provide all items needed including roasting sticks for marshmellows/very relaxing atmosphere. The grandkids loved the pool. It is only about 20 min from Cincinnati. There are a lot of restaurants near by
My husband, son, and I came with our church group to visit the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with friendly, helpful employees. Check in was very crowded as there were about 50 of us on the trip, but the lady at check in was ready for us and handled the process efficiently and in a timely manner. After check in, we were offered coffee, tea, and hot chocolate in the dining area. Our room was cool and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Continental breakfast was good, and the coffee was some of the best I've ever had in a hotel breakfast. There were 2 flat screen TV's in the breakfast area, so that you could easily watch the day's news while eating. My husband used the fitness room. It's a little small, but it serves it's purpose. Some of group enjoyed the indoor pool. There is no outdoor pool at this hotel. There are several good quality restaurants within walking distance of this hotel, so there will be no need to drive anywhere for lunch or dinner. Like check in, check out was friendly, quick, and efficient. Honestly, I've never stayed in a hotel with a friendlier staff. If you're looking for a no frills, bargain hotel, there couldn't be a better choice than the Best Western Whitewater Inn. The continental breakfast was good, but the coffee was some of the best I've experienced at the hotel.
Was a great stay!! Kind of smelled like smoke, but I had a great stay and the staff was excited to help me. They were very friendly and breakfast was great and filling. I felt comfortable and the bed and pillows were very comfortable.
Stayed here on a Friday during our 1,200 mile trek home from a family reunion. Nice, clean and comfortable. Either new or newly remodeled...either way, it was very nice! Always appreciate the breakfast selection in the morning and was not disappointed. Close to restaurants and shops. A bit hard to spot coming off of the highway but we eventually located it (it was RIGHT there...if we'd looked!). Thanks for a great stay!
There was a dead fly in the bathroom and beverage stain or mark on a table. There were also crumbs on the floor. The room was not cleaned thoroughly and the water cooler was empty in the exercise room.
We were harassed to check out of our room. Check out is posted as 11:00am. We asked for (and were granted) a late check-out of noon the night before and put a Do Not Disturb sign on our door. The first knock came at 9:30am - we told them we had a late check out. The next one came at 10:30am - again told them late check out. The final knock at 11:30 pushed us over the edge and out of the room! The air conditioning in the room was poor and noisy. TV was difficult to work. I won't even go into how shocked I was to see a PIG in a stroller at breakfast. All this for over $300 for 2 nights!! There are many better places to stay.
We had the opportunity to stay here on a way back from a beautiful week of vacation. It was everything I would expect from a BW and everything stated in its ad. The room was spacious and pristine. Shari was at the desk to check us in and was so pleasant and knowledgeable. This is an absolutely beautiful and relaxing place to stay.
After reading the previous reviews and seeing the photos for this hotel on TripAdvisor, we were expecting to have an very nice experience for our overnight stay. Unfortunately, our expectations were not met. The Negatives: My group of four reserved two king-bed rooms. Upon check-in (the clerk was friendly), we went up to the third floor in the small elevator and went into our rooms. Within seconds, we all found ourselves back out in the hallway due to the strong odor of cigarette smoke in this "smoke-free" hotel. After being given different rooms by the desk clerk, the other couple with us found their room to be generally odor free and acceptable. However, we (my wife and I) noticed our room was of a bad, but tolerable, odor (it wasn't smoke). Unfortunately, the sheets were stained and we called the desk to have them changed. At this point, the original clerk had gone home and we dealt with a new person. She apologized and added that all of the maids had gone for the night, and she provided us with a different room. Our third room still had a faint but strange odor, but the sheets were mostly clean (there were two light stains). We decided to just buy air freshener and spray it (which mostly worked). We also noticed that the wall unit struggled to keep the humidity down in the room, so we lowered to temp setting which made for a relatively cold sleep. Later in the evening, the four of us went to the lobby to play cards. While there, we watched/listened as the lone clerk tried to handle a significant influx of travelers wishing to check in. Unfortunately, the hotel was not prepared for the high volume of people coming in for the opening of the Ark Encounter. The situation appeared to leave many hotel guests frustrated. Fortunately, the manager arrived later and the situation was resolved. The Positives: The rooms appeared to be generally clean and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was good, even for a 6'3” person. The TV had a good picture and the remote control was clean. Despite the situations described above, the staff we dealt with was courteous to us. The first clerk offered a discount due to the smoke smell. The second clerk was noticeably flustered, but was still friendly to us. Also worth noting: The manager learned of our situation initially from a person we were traveling with. She expressed her apologies to him and also gave us all a full refund. Later, I also spoke with her over the phone and she was quite concerned about our circumstances, adding that this was unusual for this hotel. Based on the number of positive reviews for Best Western Plus Whitewater Inn, our poor experience may have been a fluke. Nonetheless, I cannot recommend staying here.
This hotel is a nice facility with a friendly staff. Also, the price is right! The area surrounding the hotel had a lot to offer within walking distance. We were very pleased with our stay and would not hesitate to stay there again in the future.
This hotel was clean modern and all the staff were pleasant and helpful on every shift. The pool and pool area were clean and stocked with towels and toys for the kids. A good size fridge for leftovers, drinks and snacks.
Staff is friendly and caring. Very helpful. I would suggest this hotel for business or pleasure. Relaxing. I will truly stay here again next time I am in the region for work. I look forward to seeing the staff.
I came here for a trip to the Cincinnati Zoo for my birthday. This was one of the closer Best Western's to it. I really like the decor of lobby and the rooms. The king room we had was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was great. This was the first Best Western that I had been to that had a pancake maker in addition to a waffle maker. I thought that was great and I love that there was so much to choose from. The pool was nice, a bit chilly, but nice enough still to swim in. I also liked that there was a fire pit and grill in the back of the hotel and a nice little seating area to enjoy some fresh air. I unfortunately don't remember the ladies name (It may have been Lisa) at front desk, but she was very helpful. We had bought some alcohol and didn't realize what we had bought needed a bottle opener. Though they did not have a bottle opener. She found a can opener with an end that worked just as well for us to open that bottles with and we were so grateful for that! Thank you for taking the extra step to help us out! If we ever get to come back to Cincinnati.. we would definatley stay here!
The staff was amazing and very helpful, polite, concerned and informative. They even let me borrow a box fan to be more like home!! Our room was clean and comfortable. Our stay was wonderful, we will be back and will recommend to everyone I know.
The staff at this hotel were very courteous and caring, the hotel was fresh and clean. My room was made up as you would expect in a quality hotel, clean, bright and had no carpeting in the room which I have come to like very much.
Great time here! Our group was very pleased with everything. The outdoor fire pit/gathering was under construction to our surprise, so we improvised to do our final group bible study. It worked out great! The staff was very friendly and did a wonderful job. It was perfect location for us as we went to the Creation Museum for a school trip.We will stay here again when we travel this way!
Beds were of Queens size with plenty of room to stay in Everything was clean . Upon checking in the lady at the desk was very nice. They had a good breakfast. E would come back again only if there are no hotels rooms left in Oxford Ohio.
We would have given this motel a 5 star rating except for the terrible in-room and breakfast coffee. And I mean terrible coffee. The in-room coffee maker produced greasy weak coffee. The breakfast coffee came from an instant coffee dispensing machine and was equally weak and nasty tasting. Can't you make some real coffee for the guests? The breakfast was typical motel factory pre-made biscuit sausage patty and faux fried eggs and the usual waffle machine with canned sweetened fruit toppings. No cut fresh fruit, just tired apples, bananas and tiny oranges. No plain yogurt or unsweetened oatmeal available. Everything ultra sweetened. Not the healthiest or appetizing. At least there's 2% milk and raisin bran (with sugared raisins). The rooms were great. Comfortable bed with washed quilt coverlets, quiet, friendly staff. Plus the window opens to let in fresh air, but no screens so you also will let the mosquitos in.
My husband and I are really enjoying Best Western. It's a fair price for a wonderful stay. We stayed in King Bed room. We liked that it came with a sofa and an ottoman. Very comfy. Nice sized flat screen television. We did have a problem with the bathtub being clogged, but they sent up a friendly gentleman who took care of it right away. The front desk at check in and the breakfast attendant were very accommodating and friendly. Breakfast both mornings was delicious. I missed out on the outdoor fire-pit. I wish I would have known about it.
Since the thriving metropolis of Oxford, OH cannot accommodate friends and family for their commencement, one is forced to look further afield. I feared we may end up in Detroit so this little gem in the middle of nowhere OH was a most pleasant surprise. the hotel is clean, the rooms are spacious and the staff very friendly (particularly Lisa!). The breakfast (included) was also quite nice for the price. The one thing this hotel needs is a bit better organization for housekeeping. we had three rooms for the weekend; one was serviced during breakfast so we did not have fresh towels for a second day and one was not serviced at all. The hotel was apologetic on both counts and offered to bring fresh towels. Not a major issue.
Stopped here for one night to break up a long drive to Champaign, IL. It was conveniently located off of the interstate. From the outside it looked like an older facility, but inside it was apparent that it was recently remodeled. Rooms were nicely decorated, clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast selection included cereals, bacon, eggs, waffles, fruit among other selections. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
We were going to be in the Cincy area for a few days. Looking for a dog friendly place. We loved staying here. Clean rooms. It was cooler so the fire pit wasn't going. Looking forward to sitting out here next time. The location was perfect. Everything you would want. Shopping-eating-you don't need to leave the exit if you don't want to. Definitely will return!!
Stayed 1 Nite ... Checked in Quite Quickly/Easily without a reservation. (received cheapest rate quoted on their website) Quiet ... Clean King Room with Sofa. Bed was quite comfortable. Large Flatscreen Tvs. Free Internet . DirecTV .. Quick Check Out. Refrigerator & Microwave in Room. Close to Restaraunts & Interstate.
Our stay was comfortable, and the staff was friendly enough. However, the room and especially bathroom was pretty run down and overly crowded. There was a lot of furniture in the room for how small it was, and the beds are really tall. It felt pretty claustrophobic. The bathroom vanity was dinged up and poorly repaired and the whole faucet on the sink moved around just from turning on the water. We had a queen room, but the bed was definitely smaller than the standard queen I have at home. It felt like a budget hotel without the budget price. I would have been fine with all these things if the rate wasn't $170/night after tax. So many hotels are overcharging with little to no upkeep on their rooms. There are probably better bargains elsewhere even in this small town.
Clean, friendly, good employees. Breakfast was one of the better ones I have had this year in a hotel. The only bad part about the hotel was the location behind shopping centers and Home Depot, other than that is was very good.
It was nice the pool was small but overall nice. the only complaint was with housekeeping. We has connecting room there was 8 of us. There was a TOTAL of 4 towels and 3 washcloths between both rooms. Then not getting the room cleaned was ridiculous and then them hesitating to give me fresh towels and washcloths ..... I gave them the dirty ones first and asked for clean ones....
Just stayed the night on the way to my destination. Very friendly staff.I would stay here again. Plenty of food options in walking distance and ez to get to from interstate 74 right outside Cincinnati.
Extremely clean and nice hotel with friendly staff. Loved our King Suite with Jacuzzi that we stayed in. Wish we had longer to stay to enjoy the benefits but it was just a one night stay. Nicely priced. Extremely impressed with hotel.
We booked this room in advance for visiting colleges in the area with our daughter. The first problem started at check in time. Even though check in was guaranteed at 3pm, we had to wait until after 6pm to get our room. It wasn't just a matter of the three hours delay. It was a matter of repeatedly telling us to come back in 20 minutes for 3 straight hours. Once we finally were able to get in the room, it was dirty. There were random women's hair strands on the blankets and on the wall in the shower. We found popcorn along the side of the bed and the bathroom tile was loose. To top it off, there were multiple obnoxious families that were literally running in the hallways, screaming, arguing, and pounding on our room door until 11pm. The front desk clerk said there was nothing she could do because it was a church group. Next time I want to tear up a hotel, I guess just tell them I am on a retreat and they will leave me alone .
Im from Cleveland, Ohio the family and I went to Cincinnati to visit the zoo and sights. We booked the Best Western Hotel. For the most part there staff was very friendly (front desk clerk, the two cooks that set up the breakfast) where great very friendly. There were two guys maintnence men who I said hello to they looked at me as if I didn't matter. and continued to stare at us until we got on the elevator which made us think they didn't want us there. But other than those two it was a good experience nice clean hotel. If you can over look those two its a great place to stay. I wouldn't stay at this one due to them but I would in another location. Thank you to the front desk clerk and the cooks for being friendly and professional.
Very professional and friendly staff. We would visit again, if in the area. Pool was perfect and rooms were clean. Easy drive for our family to the Creation Museum. Walking distance from good restaurants.
Was in town for a training and the friendliness and helpfulness of staff was wonderful. The rooms are clean, updated and beds very comfortable. I had a king very spacious to get work done. Pool, hot tub and exercise room are nice amenities for business travel.
The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and the pool was WARM! Great free breakfast, too. Was worth the short drive from Cincinnati. Nice place to relax outside by a small waterfall and fire pit with a grill, but it was too cold for us. Not as big as the online photos, but still pretty.
We spent 2 nights here, and were very pleased with it. The whole hotel was very clean, and the staff went over and beyond. They serve a complimentary breakfast, and have an indoor pool. We did "name your own price", and felt it was a great deal for the price. It's also very accessible to the Creation Museum and Cincinnati.
We had an easy check in, polite staff, awesome breakfast, clean room and comfy bed. The pool is a little small, but very clean. the kids had fun making smokes around the fire pit at night. Not a single thing bad to say about our experience here.
We were very pleased with our stay. Rooms were clean and spacious (we had a king with a couch). The staff was friendly and inviting as well. This hotel has an offer that includes the room and 2 adult lift passes to Perfect North Slopes. It's about 20 minutes away but the drive was nice for us. It does have a small pool, (no hot tub) but they do keep the water in the pool at a nice temperature. It's not bath water warm but it's warmer than most hotel pools I've used. The breakfast is standard for this type of hotel but they kept it well stocked. Overall a very nice stay.
The staff was so nice. We had a small advertising mishap which was promptly addressed. Very great family pool. FIREPITS, which is awesome. Wonderful breakfast. Very nice accommodations. Can't beat the price, we enjoyed the ski combo with perfect north! Can't wait to come back for another ski getaway! Very happy, The Scotts
The hotel is in a great location with surrounding restaurants and grocery store. Also convenient location by gas station and highway make it easy to travel. We stayed for two nights with our three young children in a king suite with a pull out bed that accommodated our family very well. The hotel offered a nice hot breakfast with pastries and cereal for kids. Hot coffee all day which was a nice plus and very convenient. Our kids had a great time at the pool, and I must say was there favorite part of the hotel. The room and bathroom were very clean and the bed was very comfy. I enjoyed the updated decor and newer bathroom as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I would be very happy to stay here again!
We came in later in the evening, after 14 hours on the road. We were tired and sore, and just wanted to soak in a hot tub or Jacuzzi for a little while and then get a good nights sleep before getting back on the road. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We woke up refreshed and ready to get on with our trip.
The hotel interior and exterior was very clean. The beds were comfortable - multiple pillows per bed was kinda nice. The staff were pleasant and helpful. They even helped a family we were traveling with to get a room the day we arrived. The breakfast was good - quite a variety and tasted good. The lobby/lounge area was comfortable.
I was planning a surprise get-away for my boyfriend for Valentines Day after our trip to the perfect north slopes just a short 25 minutes away. I chose The Best Western over all the other hotels that I had looked at because it offered a kings suite with a private whirlpool tub, refrigerator, microwave, and two large flat screen t.v's. I was highly impressed with our room for the price. When we walked in the suite everything was cleaned appropriately and the bed was extremely comfortable. The indoor pool was also very nice for the 20 minutes we enjoyed it free from other people until a pack of kids swarmed us and we opted to leave. Other than that we were able to spend the night in and out of the whirlpool and inside the comfortable kings sized bed, very relaxing and enjoyable, and I would highly recommend this hotel for a romantic evening. The free breakfast wasn't bad either, they had a lot of different options, and it looked well maintained and a clean environment for eating. I would have enjoyed it more if they had a hot tub, which in all reality, the private whirlpool made up for. Also our room was # 207 on the second floor and we had to slam the door every time we wanted to leave because it didn't lock unless you gave it some force, so at first that kind of made us uneasy until we learned the trick to latch it shut. Overall a great hotel and I will happily refer other people to enjoy a night here if they are looking for a hotel.
This place was great! The staff was very personable, professional, and helpful. The breakfast is amazing! Our room could have used a little (a lot) extra cleaning, and since it caters to ski/snowboarders several extra hooks in the bathroom would be helpful. Otherwise it was great. The ski package is ideal! I would stay here again.
Great stay! Staff was very friendly! Rooms were clean and the breakfast was very good. Will plan on staying there again, especially if planning to go skiing, the ski package was great! I would recommend advertising for the restaurant "Triple Cats"! Great food and great environment!
The ski and stay package for Perfect North was great because they get your lift ticket for you, you just pick it up on your way out the door to Perfect North! And we got the upgrade to the King Suite with Jacuzzi which was nice at the end of a day of skiing.
This was a very nice hotel with a great location. Lots of stores and restaurants in walking distance. The staff were very acomodating and helpful. Pam greeted us at check in and was a great representation of the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful and one of the best with many warm or quick options. The pool was nice and clean. We love that the hotel is so close to Perfect North Slopes and the ski & stay option made our trip very affordable.
Had a great time. GOOD BREAKFAST. Wonderful room (we had a jacuzzi). Helpful staff. Loved the pool. Near pleanty of places to eat. Would Stay again. The hotel was also very clean they provided plenty of towels.
Very pleased with the stay here. Clean and comfortable! Friendly and helpful staff! Wasn't sure if we would like a Best Western but it outperformed our expectations. Great breakfast! We would stay here again!
Nice staff, reasonable price, great breakfast, clean and neat rooms. Pillows a bit hard, wish the curtains closed a bit better at night, but very friendly staff. Got a great price for combo tickets for Creation Museum. Would definitely recommend.
We reserved a room with the jacuzzi and it didn't work. So we called the front desk and according to her she needed to show us how to turn it on. Well she came and she did exactly the same thing my husband did and it still did not work. We had to fix it, we removed the side panel and saw that the wire was not connected. The problems continued bad pillows for the bed, hard bed, bad shower head, no welcome folder to show what was in the area, key card does not work for side doors even though you are told they do, phone does not always call the front desk, no towels or mat for the jacuzzi. Good things were the breakfast was outstanding and the personal are very friendly. Fix the others and this possible could be a BW Plus
We stayed at this best western overnight and throughly enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, updated and a good size. We heard absolutely no noise during the night. I can't comment on the breakfast, we chose to go to Nicks for breakfast (see my review on nicks for an awesome restaurant in the area). I would definitely stay here again.
We were passing through the area and were trying to find a place to watch the Green Bay Packer football game. Located a Buffalo Wild Wings in Harrison and fortunately there was a Best Western hotel right next door. So booked a room there and then went to watch the game. Had a very nice stay there. Great breakfast in the morning.
Excellent room for the price and a full breakfast. Can't beat it! Pool was great for the grandson, and beds seemed new. It was only a one day trip for a hockey game at Miami University (a 20 minute drive), but I slept well and received great value for my money. I would definitely recommend this hotel for trips to that area.
We loved our stay , Workers was great . But I would like bigger pillows becasue it was a king bed with 4 small pillows .Need bible in the rooms and meuas for the restraunts around the hotlel we will be back
Nicely up to date and moder. Had a nice indoor pool and a breakfast. The hotel staff were all very friendly. My only minor complaint was that there wasn't any butter provided with the waffles. But they did have gravy biscuits, which were pretty good as far as hotel gravy biscuits go. And the pool was very modern and fun for the family to play in. They even had some fun noodles available for my son.
I really enjoyed my stay I will recommend anyone to stay there.Thank you all for the wonderful expierence and was very helpful for our trip. The breakfests were Great and the help was very friendly and very helpful I thought the location was excellent I would defantly recommend anyone I know who is traveling in that area to use that Hotel. I hated to leave it but we will use it again when we are in the area. There are a lot of covientces as well.
This hotel was a very pleasant surprise for the location and price... would definitely stay here again; heated pool and full breakfast included! Check in staff was very professional and pleasant; located near restaurants and shopping.
The Best Western Plus at Harrison, Ohio is a wonderful place to stay. Close to Cincinnati, plus local shopping as well. A neat historic district in downtown Harrison off the beaten path. Check out the Market Street Grill.
This is my favorite hotel to stay when traveling to the greater Cincinnati Ohio area. This hotel has undergone a recent remodel. The décor through out the hotel is superb and refreshing. A great staff who pays attentions to details, the hotel is very clean and fresh. There are plenty of quality restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. No need to look at other hotels in the area, this Best Western is the BEST!
I read other reviews and I have to say ... I'm glad I decided to stay at this facility. The outside patio area was very relaxing and the breakfast was great. Beds were comfy, would not hesitate to stop again if I'm in the area.
Very nice, Clean, friendly place to stay. Very quiet, nice places to eat are close. very inviting atmosphere. nice stay. Great breakfast with biscuits and gravy and plenty to choose from. I like a medium soft bed and our bed was a little firm for my taste.
We picked the hotel based on Expedia's listing of it as 9 miles from Oxford, Ohio (Miami University of Ohio). Soooo wrong: Harrison is 20 miles away from Oxford at nearest point. Returning from Oxford late at night on twisting, hilly rural roads at a speed that allowed us to avoid hitting the numerous deer and other wildlife was not part of our original plan, but there was no choice. Richmond, Indiana would have been a much better location at the same distance since the roads there are straight and better lit. Not the hotel's fault. Also, when we returned the first night, our door wouldn't open due to dead batteries in the card reader. We hung out in the lobby for an hour while the manager figured out who to call to let us back in our room. Could happen anywhere I suppose. The pluses are: 1) Friendly helpful staff, 2) clean comfortable rooms, and 3) a very decent free breakfast.
I always enjoy staying at a Best Western - until now. I was very disappointed. There was no shower curtain, the breakfast had no bread and very few other offerings. The cereal dispenser was broken, and it was a mess in the dining area. I booked the trip on Priceline, and it was rated as 3 stars. This needs to be amended to a 1 star hotel. I was told by the attendant that checked me into the hotel that there was a no smoking policy - which is fine with me. However, the individual giving me the instructions smelled so badly of smoke it was offensive. I'm not sure she understood the irony of the situation.
I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in town. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The hotel is updated and clean. The pool seemed a bit small but I'm not a pool person anymore so that was a non-issue. My one complaint was that the water in the shower never got hot, it was warm enough not to complain to the hotel staff about it but if I had to say anything bad about this hotel, that would be it.
suprised at great quality of room. spacious, comfortable beds & lots of pillows. check in staff helpful. good location.. hot breakfast (biscuits & gravy, waffles, sausage, fruit, yogurt, juice, eggs, etc)
One of the few places that offered a newly cleaned remote contol! Nice little hotel as we were driving back from Cincinnati. Comfy bed with a pull out sofa. Room pretty spacious. Very good deal for the price. Good breakfast the next morning. However, we didn't realize check out was 11 AM - Ask for a late check out if you need it.
enjoyed my stay, the staff was mostly good and friendly, the hotel was very clean and nice. better than I expected from Best Western, it was newly renovated, the breakfast was ok normal for a free breakfast.
