Best Western Escondido Hotel

This is a lovely facility: dramatically lit by night and pleasant in the day. Great heated pool area with sturdy, decorated tables, umbrellas, lounges and a spa tub. The location is quiet and there are numerous eating places within minutes. It is about 23 minutes from Safari Park. Our room was a suite: 2 rooms, 2 TVs, dining table with 4 chairs, couch, chair, coffee table, lots of counter space in "Kitchen"

Excellent location if you plan to visit the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, located about 20 to 30 minutes away. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable, you just can't beat having a free good hot breakfast to start your day.

The room was updated and very nice, the amenities were great, located near freeway access, close to Sand Diego Zoo Safari Park it about a twenty minute drive. The only draw back it on the outskirts of the town so it took a few minutes to get to a restaurant

Pros: Hotel is close to the safari park and seemed like a safe area. Staff were friendly and efficient, well stocked breakfast area with above average options and a good amount of seats/tables. Quick check-in/check-out and lots of parking Room was clean and well laid out (suite) Elite BW membership recognized and room request was taken into consideration (always a good sign of a well run hotel). Rooms on the 4th floor all seemed good, noise wasnt an issue Pool and hottub were good, seemed like a family friendly hotel. Elevator was spacious and fairly quick. Cons: Light switches in the room were on a timer The breakfast coffee machine/coffee is terrible. The electrical cover in the bathroom had a light that you couldnt turn off (essentially a night light for the bathroom, but it didnt have an on/off switch and it could be seen from the bedroom. Pillows were a bit thick, but some people like it that way. Gas station next door and the lights are bright if your room faces that direction Overall,

Nice place to stay here in Escondido at a very reasonable price. Staff was friendly our room was clean... Kinda funny the coffee maker is in the restroom... I'd recommend moving it somewhere else. Breakfast was good. We will be going back when in the area and need somewhere to stay.

Shower had no hot water Sunday am, charge $50 pet fee but no potty area or poop bags. Ran out of breakfast items Sunday morning. Rooms have no USB outlets so had to move furniture and unplug clock. Sad

Perfect location for the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. This is a basic hotel with great value. The room and facilities were nice and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. I traveled by myself, but it seems like a family friendly place.

Easy check in, reasonable price, friendly staff, and clean room. Standard Best Western with free breakfast and good vending machines. I was very satisfied with my stay. Bonus for being dog friendly. I would stay here again.

This hotel is in a great location and easily accessible from the freeway. However, the staff and the customer service experience is poor. There were complications with my reservation, pricing, and throughout my stay I interacted with staff who were just unfriendly and rude. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again nor recommend this hotel to anyone.

Our stay was enjoyable. My granddaughter really enjoyed the pool. I enjoyed the spa. The location is near the Assembly Hall where we attended the Exercise Patience Regional Convention of Jehovah's Witnesses. So I will definitely be staying there again!

Hotel is nice on the outside but it needs to be updated, remodeled. Decor and paint is extremely old, dated, dark and smells bad. It's disappointing. Repairs need to be made to electrical. Hotel sits on ideal property hence hotel should be updated.

Best Western Escondido is a great location that is convenient to Legoland, the Safari Park, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Bates Nut Farm in Valley Center, and Children's Museum in Escondido. We love staying here. The rooms are large and well kept, and the hotel grounds and pool are clean and nicely landscaped. The parking is free and behind the hotel. The complimentary breakfast is great to have if you're an early riser, and you can take up some food to your still sleeping family. We loved the pool with our kids. Our favorite room is the 1 bedroom king room with the pull out couch and the dining table. We stay here about once or twice a year.

The photos of the two room suite withe one kind and one queen bed on the website are misleading. You will not get a dining room table. The queen bed will be in the living room. The furniture in the room was run down and looked like there had been a cat in the room. There was no kleenex and no paper or pen. I know those items are petty but for $400 a night we shouldn't have to ask for kleenex. It is a terrible value for what you get and the pictures belong to a different room. We will choose another “suite” hotel next time.

Haven't been here in five years. Still a very adequate facility, convenient for what we want to do in the area. Adequate parking (if people stay in between the lines), rooms comfortable (except pillows small and too soft), breakfast very adequate. Would return.

Nice, clean hotel in safe area for woman traveling alone on business. Staff was helpful. Food nearby and easy access to I15 without it being too noisy. Gas station right across the street for extra convenience.

We had a very relaxing stay. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Having a clean room is very important to me and they exceeded in cleanliness! The breakfast was warm, delicious, and very well stocked. I had no problems connecting online and using their computer and printer. Will definitely be back to this hotel.

The staff here is remarkable. We received all the help we needed and then some! We booked numerous rooms, and received great rates. We left items (including cash) after check out, and the manager called us and returned everything!!! Integrity, honesty, kindness NOTED!

Great hotel in good location off I-15. Hotel quiet with a decent morning breakfast. We stayed in a double room (two queen beds). Mattresses were comfortable and we slept well. Bathroom was adequate, but smaller than what one would find in newer properties. Restaurants are close, but none are within nearby walking distance. We have stayed here before and would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel but dated. Was there for just 2 nights. Convenient to the Escondido area. Small breakfast in the mornings that was just ok. Did not get housekeeping service while I was there for some reason.

The hotel is in a convenient location. The check-in process was quick. The staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and comfortable. I had a good nites sleep. Breakfast was convenient. I would recommend this location.

Well it wasn't cheap and I had two days and they don't clean for the second day. So I didn't have any soap or coffee the second day I was there. If you're only staying one night I suppose that's OK. Also the television didn't work. That's kind of inexcusable in a place like this. No daily cleaning and no TV I'll pass thank you

Absolutely THE worst service that anyone can ever provide. Not only did they NOT let us in into the rooms that I had booked prior but they also discriminated my family and I with the most utterly disrespect. This hotel should be insanely embarrassed and ashamed. Please, call to see if you're even allowed to take one step into this property.

The overall room was clean but had a slight smell. I was disappointed in that the fridge was not working and had a wet towel in it. I had drinks and food I wanted kept cold overnight, lame. When I reported it to the clerk she said, "just turn it on", well we all know it takes 12-24 hours for fridges to cool down effectively. The bathroom had plenty of towels but only one bar of soap. The shower/tube had a big divot in it but still usable. Their shampoo & conditioner are lacking quality and smell odd (don't use). The hair dryer is weak. Only one top plug on the lamp, yet my wife and myself have phones to plug in and I also require a C-PAP, needless to say you have to unplug one of the other lamps to accommodate a basic now-day feature. The TV remote didn't work (luckily, I had batteries from a camera). I thought it was odd that they lock the lobby restrooms but not the side access doors to the hallway for room (why not use a room key to access like most places?). The pool seemed alright but the grounds where way dirty, full of debris. The free breakfast was okay. Clean area but lacking in food choices. One yogurt, had to fun the bread through twice for the toaster to kind of toast, milk was coolish, and the eggs had a hair in it. The best part of the stay was the old-school AC in the room, was nice and cold after a warm day! The parking is funky too, many of the spaces are small so people were double parking spots, some are awkwardly close to poles, walls, and planters. Overall, stay elsewhere.

Im glad I chose this hotel over another that I had in mind. Check in was quick, friendly staff. Room was clean, they offer a wide variety of breakfast which we liked. I'm highly satisfied with this BW.

I would give a 0 if I could! The Escondido BestWestern was disgusting!! There was mold in the bathrooms and the sheets were stained (blood stain and yellow stains of god knows what) and no one has responded back to me. The sprinklers were rusted. I also had half the lights working. The toilet paper was from the previous guest... I wont even get into the details of the fact that the entire softball team was super loud and after I had a noise complaint the service desk said he was new and didn't do anything about it. NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

I do not often give out one stars across the board! I rely on Best Westerns for cleanliness when making choices between hotels in towns I am unfamiliar with. After this stay I can no longer do that. I called to tell them we would be late and the person at the desk could not find the reservation, Arrived and he said he could not tell if there was someone in our room (should have taken the fact that someone checked in and out within hours as a warning) or not. Took quite a long time to sort out (it was midnight after a long day). We drove around the back to find that the door inside had no lock on it. Anyone could come in and out as they wished without a room key. This is not safe at all. We arrived at the room and not only is it not a king but also directly across the ice machine. Called and he said he would "upgrade" us to a new room and meet us there. We had to wait for him at the new room for about 10-15 minutes which seemed long. New room smelled bad, and was unclean. Carpets were unclean in the hall and in our room. Yes, it is very dated but could have lived with it if clean. Bathroom not clean or fresh. Did I mention the lovely odour of old cigarettes, musty/mouldiness and bodily fluids. Yuck. Next morning went to leave (were supposed to stay 3 nights. Front desk person seemed unsurprised. Said they would tell the manager when they came in (but we could see the manager sitting in the next office!). No offer to refund our night or anything else. Just terrible from top to bottom. We moved to the Springfield Suites down the road and it was lovely,

The property is in good shape and the rooms are reasonably moderne , comfortab and kept up. Wish there was a better area to walk dogs and trash cans at all of the entrances. The internet was reliable, breakfast was beyond the basics with a couple of protein offerings, and the staff was professional in all of my interactions with them.

The hotel is in a very convenient location near freeway 15 with clean room, good food, excellent service,friendly staff, near stores and restaurants, nice area in Escondido. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel was convenient to the freeway, restaurants and stores. The room was well priced, nicely decorated, quiet, clean and large. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good, much better than most. We will stay there again if the occasion lends itself .

It really well located! next to the freeway, a lot of stores around it! The hotel was really clean and well taken care of!!! we had a large group and we had a great experience on the pool area with the large group of friends!

A friend and I stayed here for 2 nights on a "ladies' weekend" to Pala Casino. The room (on the 4th floor, highly recommended) was clean, and certainly spacious enough for 2 of us. There are things that need updating, of course, but they are minor. The employees we encountered were wonderful to us! We were visiting with friends from out of state (at Pala) and we ran late on getting out of there. The staff assured us we could have extra time to pack up and leave, and they honored that completely. (We hustled and got out ASAP, but that extra time certainly relieved any stress!!!) I would not think twice about staying there again. The bedding and bathroom were both very clean, and the beds were comfortable enough. Many thanks to Bobby, and the rest of the staff we encountered during our stay!

Front desk staff is exceptionally friendly. However, the rooms really need more attention to cleanliness. Best Western Escondido is one of the better choices in this town but they really need to step it up with their cleanliness of the rooms.

I stay in hotels several times throughout the year. The staff at this hotel is the rudest, most unhelpful group of people I have ever experienced in my travels. The bed was uncomfortable. There were little bathroom products. The wifi didn't work. Find another place to stay.

We stayed here from 3/8 to 3/11/22 in room 201 while visiting Safari Park. I would have rated it 4 stars if they had provided daily housekeeping. The hotel was about 20 min. from Safari Park. There were lots of restaurants with in a 3 mi. drive and we thought Killer Pizza from Mars (about 1 mi. away) was great. The hotel is an older property but has been updated and is pretty well maintained. There is lots of parking on the side and back of the hotel. It's close to the highway. Room 201 was very good sized, had a couch, work desk (although the chair to the desk needs replacing), dining table, kitchen area with a microwave, coffee maker and fridge with freezer, The room is a bit dark but it was clean quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is good sized with lots of counter space. As with most older hotels, there were less electrical outlets than you'd like. The internet was slow even for checking email. They did not offer housekeeping while we were there. You could get fresh towels and toiletries from the front desk as needed and you left your trash and used towels outside the door for pick up. The breakfast was fine, typical of a BW breakfast. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Overall, it was a good stay and we would stay here again.

Don't stay here. This hotel is very old and they are not spending the money to keep it up. The mirror was falling off the wall and there was mold in the bathroom. I have stayed here many times in the past and will never stay here again.

very clean and spacious, I work in a clinic next to this location, that's why is practical for me, but even if it wasn't for the proximity, I would definitely stay here, I've come to this location a few times to enjoy the pool and a relaxin good night sleep with my family

Bogus charge, for $300 for smoking in the room. I am a 73 year old smoker but smoked outside. They came to my room smelled smoke on my clother and charged me, I have contacted the property and they won't reverse, so have contacted corporate, and once charge goes to credit card will dispute.

it was very comfortable for me and my family and friends to congregate in the breakfast room and other spacious facility room and comfortable to bring in food too. Convenient and comfortable. Thank you!! Food was great for breakfast was wonderful!

Staff was friendly. Location was great, easy access to the highway and places we went. The pool was nice and hot tub fit the bill. Breakfast had good hot and cold options. Parking was simple and easy.

I was really happy with my stay. It seem like some BW hotels are going down hill, but the Escondido location was nice, quiet, the upkeep on the property was noticeable. Will definitely stay there again.

This was a wonderful experience! The hotel was beautiful inside and out. Parking was a breeze. The staff person was friendly and helpful upon check-in. The room was clean and nicely decorated. There was even a couch! The towels were soft and thick. For breakfast there was a variety of choices and the coffee was delicious. Check-out was easy and the receipt was emailed within a few hours. This was a lovely stay!

This hotel is in need of serious repairs. The bed was not comfortable. There was a horrible stench from the bathroom that's based on pipes that need to be cleaned out. The shower rod was barely hanging into the wall. And the ceiling had water marks that showed there was a leak above that was maybe repaired but they did not fix the ceiling. And there was rust above the light fixture in the bathroom. Check-In staff was friendly but the check-out staff could not be bothered to even ask if we enjoyed our stay.

Grandfather I stayed and after a Birthday party, both my daughter and Granddaughter needed sleep, so they stayed overnight with me, the goal was a peaceful night and a good start for the drive back home, mission accomplished

Furniture, floors, walls, and bathroom were very dirty. The locks on the windows were broken off and the doors to the outside of the hotel had no locks for security. The whole hotel smelled like mold and there was mold in the bathroom.

My husband and I have stayed at this Best Western Escondido three times so far. Convenient location, close to the 15 and 78 freeways, easy to visit Valley Center from here. Clean hotel, nice large rooms, friendly staff. One of the times we stayed with our toddler and used the roll away crib. Good amenities for all your needs.

This was just like a 2 star stay i was not impressed with anything here i would stay again only if i was getting a coupon might as well payless if you get less... I have stayed at B. W because they usually are the best and hot breakfast and awesome but this was a dead end...not good average and smoking is not allowed but the 2 floor smelled like a smoker was in there.

Nice room. Very clean and quiet (I had requested a quiet location). The pool and hot tub are great. Breakfast was so-so. They need to add a non meat breakfast sandwich option.and insist guests wear masks in that tight space. Internet is abysmal. A/c works fine but is old and noisy.

Since there is no room cleaning during your stay the man up front was bothered everyday was asked for room towels or pool towels. Man was visibly upset when he had to put down his ice cream cone to help us. SMH we had to put up with this for an entire week.

Looked around for a hotel that could comfortably accommodate three adults. After checking several, we decided to stay at BW. Didn't know anything about the hotel but once we arrived we found that this hotel was very close to the freeway, shops and dining. Off the beaten path which made it a quiet and safe environment. If in the area again, will most definitely stay at this location again.

This hotel was GROSS. I am not super picky but my dad called it the Worst Western instead of Best. My room had mold on the ceiling and bathroom. The furniture was literally threadbare and disgusting and I grossed out when I found a bug on the bed. Even the vending machines were half empty. The hallway rugs are filthy and the room doors were all dented. I don't know if it's because of Covid but we were there 3 nights and they don't even empty your trash, you have to leave in the hall. i would never return or recommend. See photos…

I recommend this hotel. Nice location, near the freeway, noise didn't bother. The pool area was a hit for my kiddos, good size. Breakfast was good, they had grab and go bags, as an option. Breakfast sandwiches, yogurt, fruit, granola bars, pastries, juices & coffee. The reason for the 4 stars, is because the night lights in my room, above bed weren't working, towels weren't ready when we needed them. Another thing that I wasn't a fan of is that you don't need a room key to enter from the other side & back doors, into the hotel. I feel like anyone can enter, without being guests. Overall, it was a good stay. I'd take my family back.

As far as I know, this is the closest place to the dog show that accepts dogs. The beautiful dogs at the hotel made the the stay worth the price of admission. The location is easy to access, and the area is quiet. The beds are very comfortable. I'd stayed here in the past when the breakfast was very nice. The to-go bag here though, is about the worst I've seen. Overall, they get the job done but without any fanfare or grace. The guests staying at the hotel while I was there, though, were exceptionally nice. I guess we all had something in common.

We were attending a family function, and this location was great for us. We arrived late in the evening and the check-in was fine. But when we saw the room and how "tired" it looked we were disappointed. We were not warned when we checked in that there would be no maid service, and by the 3rd day had run out of towels, soap, and shampoo and per the front desk had to hunt down a maid to get re-supplies. We were warned there would be no hot breakfast, which we understood given COVID, but the sack breakfast supplied was seriously dissapointing. We had a rather stale pastry in a bag, a tiny granola bar, a tiny apple, and a bottle of water. The best thing about the breakfast was the water. We also found the hotel rather noisy - the walls are thin and the vent in the bathroom would broadcast the conversations of a number of guests (more info than we wanted to get about how they were all doing). Next time, we will look for another property, even it means driving farther away.

Nice room that wasn't fancy but very clean and well maintained, excellent beds and pillows, with a powerful shower with very hot water. Large TV with a good selection of channels. COVID-19 friendly breakfast was adequate but repetitive.

I have no clue how it is so high! My mother and I recently stayed here while visiting my daughter for a week. We had a two room suite. The best thing about this hotel was the bed. Very comfy! With that being said, the living room furniture was very out dated, dirty, and uncomfortable. The plan was for mom to use the king bed, and me on the pullout sofa.. NOPE, wasn't happening! I don't think I could have slept on that thing if I tried. I did lay on it. It might as well have been a bed of springs without any covering. It is a smaller couch, so I couldn't sleep on the couch itself either. Plus the cushions were HARD and DIRTY. Evidently their idea of a full breakfast is a bag with an apple, a small chocolate chip granola bar, a small packaged blueberry muffin, and a bottle of water. There was a dining area, but I assume it was closed due to COVID. The staff was practically nonexistent. When we were able to find someone, we were made to feel like we were bothering them. A couple of examples; when asking one of the housekeeping staff for a towel I got the response "I'm at lunch right now". She was just a couple of feet from the cart. I would have even grabbed it myself. I was instructed to ask at the front desk instead. When I went to the front desk there was no one there. The first time we went out to the pool we saw that there was only ONE lounge chair (plenty of regular upright chairs), when I inquired at the front desk if we could get a couple more lounge chairs (one for my daughter, and one for mom) I was told that there weren't anymore because the "customers broke them all" and they had to be sent out for repair. Even when we went to check out, there was a gentleman in the office (which you can see from the front desk) who yelled out to me to wait for someone (couldn't quite hear him), so I waited about 5 minutes when finally a woman returned, and checked me out without barely two words. Not even a thank you for staying with them or we hope you enjoyed your stay. I could go on, but enough is enough. It wasn't a horrible stay, it just wasn't a normal wonderful experience that I usually get and have come to expect from a Best Western.

Stay was short and sweet but the staff were so helpful and gave great service. Bathrooms could be cleaner, I found hair in the bathtub. Overall, it was a great location and had some nice views. Happy.

I was there for three nights. First day, room not cleaned. Breakfast was a paper bag filled with a bottle of water, apple and tiny muffin, coffee was dinky machine in room. When we went to get in our car which was parked by side door with NO security lock, car had been broken into. Second day, room not cleaned. walking to our car we ran into 5 policemen outside as they escorted homeless person out of hotel who had been sleeping somewhere upstairs. During entire stay didn't see one employee around the hotel other then front desk person. Can't say how good their COVID protections are as saw no-one doing anything at anytime.

I first stayed year in November 2020, my first pandemic business trip. The reservations were made by my client, but I was pleasantly surprised with the property. So, when personal travel brought me back to Escondido, I was quick to book again! Property is clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The COVID protocols they have in place are sensible and safe. My only beef was that I couldn't find a working ice machine. Otherwise the stay was flawless. The rooms are of a good size, and well decorated. The bed was quite comfortable.

Had to get out of our home in Escondido due to some renovations. Was very pleased to find room at the Best Western Escondido. Refrigerator worked great, and the room included a microwave. The couch was definitely the low point - as it was quite uncomfortable without using a bed pillow behind our backs. Hopefully they replace it soon. But in no way, a deal breaker, we would return as our renovations continue. Breakfast is COVID style right now. We got a brown bag with breakfast items inside, the bottle of water was the highlight for us. But Del Taco drive thru is nearby and we love their Egg Burritos for breakfast! So THAT was a treat. Would be nice to have a Kurig style coffee maker but the little coffee maker was fine. Overall for the price paid, we were 100% satisfied. It was clean, bed was comfortable, water pressure was great, no noise disturbance and overall a diamond in the rough!

We came here during the height of the latest COVID peak over Thanksgiving - we were isolating so did not see family but instead went to the San Diego Zoo and to the Safari which are both an easy drive away. We just wanted a safe and simple place for me and my two elementary aged kids to stay. Fridge and microwave were fine for our needs. I did have work to do--the desk area and internet were excellent for high bandwidth zoom calls. Also saw they allow pets so will bring my doggo next time. Also saw there was an RV park next door. Good place to come in for a night and sleep in a real bed with a real bathroom even if you are RVing it. Really nice front deck staff. They even had breakfast included (simplified due to COVID of course) Very pleased. Will come back. Excellent location for all the kiddo attractions in the area.

This place was famous for the food. What happened. That's why I come here. The breakfast was a joke. I would think for the price, the breakfast is included. At least have an option to order the same type a food the the hotel. Becuz of covid I think it fair. We could come down to pick it up. Certin floors different time to come time. Simple

Exceeded my expectations. The best hotel in the area. Large rooms, lighted parking lot which is very safe and you can see from your room. Super comfortable Beds & plenty of wonderful pillows. Great toiletrees, plenty of large, soft towels, Hot Water really gets hot and is always available at a good pressure. Friendly front desk staff. Close to freeway but very very quiet in the room. Black out drapes. Pool and free breakfast! Guests were vacationers and family - non party hotel, stays quiet. Clean rooms, the suites have everyting you need incuding fridge & microwave, eating table, sink. Superb deal for the suite you don't need to leave your room. I think this is the best hotel in the area as I have been going to Escondido for over 20 years numerous times a year and most are just dumps with sketchy people coming and going. This really is the best.

Convenient location near the freeway. However, my room faced the road and I could hear traffic noise all night. It really didn't bother me but might for people who are sensitive to noise. Room was clean and comfortable, Also had a sofa.. Desk had lamp plug-ins for electronics. No charge for wi-fi. Bed had headboard with reading lights on each side. Both night and day desk clerks were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Free breakfast very good with typical food served at Best Westerns with waffles, sausages, bacon and eggs, etc. Convenient group conference room close to front desk. Outdoor pool and spa.. Easy parking ith no charge.

Stayed for threee nights last weekend - the property is clean and queit with ample parking. The staff were all friendly, the breakfast was very good. Would definitely stay again if we return to the area.

Found this little Gem of a hotel while on business. Super friendly staff! Rooms were nice, comfortable, clean. Very convenient location. When I'm in this area I will stay at this hotel! Breakfast was decent, coffee available 24/7. Excellent referrals for places to eat and places to see and visit in the area.

Excellent location near the freeway. The hotel is somewhat vintage, but the convenience of being near major highways and being in a safe area outweighed the outdated decor. Staff was very professional and efficient. Most of all, customer friendly; which is something rare these days.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The prices are fair, the rooms are great and most importantly the staff is incredible! Tim, Marissa and the whole front desk staff, the kitchen staff for breakfast and housecleaning. Everyone is friendly and helpful and cant rate it highly enough!

The Best Western in Escondido has a wonderful staff. The facilities are clean and comfortable. They offer wifi free of charge and the breakfast is very good. (Get there before the crowd.) We always stay here when traveling to North County.

The gentleman in the room next to mine started singing very loudly at 12:30 am, then the woman made very loud sex noises twice after that. I really didn't want to explain that to my 11 year old daughter. The room was clean when we arrived, but it didn't look like the bathroom was cleaned during our stay. I usually stay in Escondido twice a year, next time I will stay somewhere else.

Are you looking to stay in Escondido, California? Well, you'd be hard pressed to find a better place to stay than this one nearby. Clean, comfortable, friendly, free breakfast. That worked fine for us!

We always stay here when we're in Escondido. The staffs are very helpful, happy. It's an easy access to freeway so that you can get to Legoland, Wild Animal Park, beaches etc very conveniently. I recommend this Best Western!

Room and hallways were quiet, room was clean, exact number of towels and blankets were provided. Best customer service at check in/out and the breakfast was amazing! The representative that managed breakfast was also amazing at her job.

Convenient location, courteous staff and clean rooms. We had a get together at a nearby campground and this hotel was conveniently nearby for our overnight stay. Safe area and surprisingly quiet for being near the freeway.

Great staff, very helpful. Hotel was very clean. Easy to get to. Would definitely stay again when in the area. I would recommend to travelers in the area. the only thing I would change is an automatic opening door to the main entrance.

A perfect place to stay in central southern Cal. Close to most places but you must accept the traffic problems as well. Not next to the ocean but within a close drive, (it's California after all) to most attractions taking into account stop and go.

This hotels was very welcoming upon arrival with a little goody bag. check-in was quick and easy.Loved the choices of the breakfast. Also loved the pool and spa, very relaxing. If you are in the area I highly recommend this Best Western.

As perfect as it gets for a Best Western. I did have one staff member that showed some bad attitude twice. That is as bad as it got. Stay here ! Beds are wonderful. Plenty of parking. Safe area. Getting on to the freeway is super easy.

The hotel was in a very good neighborhood. Was met by friendly staff when I checked in. The pool towels were offered before we used it which was nice. The pool was nice and clean. The WiFi was easy enough to use as well.

We spent the day at San Diego Zoo Safari Park and stayed at Best Western Plus Escondido for the night. We chose the suite, which includes a king bed, a queen bed, little refrigerator, 2 TVs, bath/shower combo. The hotel's outdoor pool and jacuzzi were a nice addition to our enjoyment of this hotel. The breakfast buffet was generous.

I travel all over the country for business, decided to give Best Western another opportunity to redeem it self. Since the last time i stay at this hotel change is back in 2014, which my team and i stay over month on business. But this time they still fail to impress me.

Great value. Conveniently located close to freeway, without traffic noise. Friendly, helpful staff. Good, hot/cold breakfast 6am-9am. Room was spacious, comfortable, and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Even though this hotel is close to the 15 freeway, it is quiet in the rooms. Room/bathroom adequate size. My only complaint is the sheets! They were so rough. Am certain I got a full body exfoliation while sleeping! The breakfast is no different than any other hotel offering.

We spent a Friday night here between a day at Legoland and a day at the Safari park. It was right off the highway and easy to get to. We appreciated that the included breakfast was more than just the basics. The lobby and breakfast area appear recently renovated and the staff was friendly. Our hallway and room were a tad dated and worn, perhaps more renovations are coming? But it was comfortable and all we needed for our quick stop over. We'd stay again if we were in the area.

On Friday morning I attempted to choose a room of my choice. I was assigned room 268. I couldn't get another room, so I called and spoke with Veni she freed up the website and I was then able to get room 462. However, when I got to the hotel I was told I could only get into room 268 because I arrived late. I was told that on Saturday I could try to get a room on 4th floor. After unpacking on Friday I decided not to go through the hassle of moving. I was told that the only action they could do is give me a few more Honors points. I am totally put off on this hotel even though I'm a Hilton Honors member. I won't be back

This place was a lifesaver during the chaotic and typically overpriced Comic Con weekend. Our room was roughly a 30 minute drive to the convention center, but ended up giving us the balance of a well priced room with breakfast included that was not too far away. We were greeted by Bobby at the front desk, who helped make sure we were satisfied with our stay and getting around to Comic Con. His conduct alone made our stay very positive, as he was thorough, quick, and professional. Thank you Bobby! The breakfast here is also quite good; eggs were fluffy, meats were tasty, and there's the classic waffle machine and plenty of cereals and grains. All this for a discounted price, and a fraction of what you'd spend at other Comic Con bound hotels makes this reviewer one confident advocate for anyone who also needed to stay in the area. This has been our second or third time here, and they haven't disappointed us yet. We'll be back!

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The hotel serves breakfast but a drawback is that is was exactly the same every day. We had a lot of packages sent to the hotel and the staff accepted them and held them for us. We stayed in a King Suite which gave us a living area and a dining table. The hotel has a pool.

The hotel staff are extremely friendly and the full breakfast bar is Awesome. But as far as comfort goes, I don't think the stay is worth it. The linens on bed are a bit uncomfortable and rough, bathrooms don't have an exhaust fans to relieve steam, the rooms are equip with poor air units that often makes the room feel hot and stuffy. The hotel also seems to have a pungent order that smells of pet urine which lingers in the hallways and guest rooms.

We stayed at Best Western Escondido It was a good choice, Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The lady at the front desk did her best to find us the best room. It was great.the b reakfat was good. Everything was clean.

Travel quite a bit for business purpose. I am diamond elite with Best Western. I wish they would recognize that! No room upgrades, no late check out, no enhanced internet. I might as well just be a basic member. I get much better amenities at the larger hotel chains, like Marriott, Sheraton, Hilton or Hyatt.

My cousin lives 5 minutes from this hotel and all of the family stays there when we visit. Have for years and always a great experience. Lots of aunts, uncles, in-laws, cousins and friends all stay here and have a great time.

Very clean, free parking, good breakfast. Close to the freeway but when the windows are closed the freeway can't be heard. About 10 miles from the Safari Park, about a 20 minute drive. Can reach the Park without using the freeway. Lots of restaurants in Escondido.

Very comfortable hotel and friendly staff. Rooms were large, but not completely updated. A/C was old (although new thermostat was installed) and walls not soundproofed. However, it was clean and included lots of free parking and a free breakfast.

Have stayed here for 3-5 days, two to three times per year since 2010. It is very nice since the remodel which was done a few years ago. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean, and the beds are comfortable. The location works well for us and for our business and visiting friends and relatives in North County.

Nice place, easy to find, plenty of parking, great breakfast (waffles mmmm) Melissa was fantastic checking in. Breakfast was always full of everything and refilled quickly by the attendant. Staff was courteous, friendly and helpful

While it's a little close to the freeway location wise it wasn't an issues later in the evening. The young man at the front desk Christian made up for the initial noise concerns by helping me resolve two issues. The room was fine the customer service by Christian was great... So thanks to him for the professional quality service...

This is a reliable Best Western Hotel, with all of the amenities to make an enjoyable stay. The Breakfast was good, ample room in the room, good Internet service, clean, very good staff. It's a little spendy, but it was worth it for my purpose.

I was immediately impressed with the friendliness of the staff. My room was clean and very comfortable. Love the bed! And I appreciated having a nice hot breakfast to start my day before leaving for the office. The location was especially safe and secure at night, and for a business woman traveling alone, that was very reassuring. Clean, safe - home away from home. I highly recommend this Best Western.

This had to have been one of the best hotels we have stayed at that wasn't a high end resort. The general location of the hotel is convenient and in a pleasant location. The hotel lobby was welcoming and the staff was friendly, helpful, and informative. We were pleased with our room as well. It was spacious and well lit. Though we didn't bring our dog with us, this is a pet friendly hotel with reasonable pet deposit. We'll definitely be staying here again when we bring our fur baby.

This was our first stay at The Best Western Escondido Hotel. We don't give very many 5 star ratings on Trip Advisor, but this hotel earned it! Our check in was fast, friendly and efficient. During the short process we were given useful specific information, directions to our room, rewards program info and general hotel details. The room was clean. I love that the TV remote was a “fresh remote” in a bag. The hotel breakfast was hot with enough staff to keep it stocked as well as keeping the seating area clean. All the staff warmly greeted us. Check out again was fast, friendly and efficient. They also welcome pets and had a basket on the desk with biscuits and directions for a small dog area within walking distance and waste bags.

We stayed at this hotel last fall for my daughter's wedding and again this past week for 5 nights. The staff was excellent, location ideal and value the best. We looked around at other nearby hotels but cheaper hotels were more “motel like” and similar hotels cost more. The value here was perfect. The breakfast each morning was consistent with a wide variety of hot and cold items. Food was well stocked and we didn't ever have to wait for more of anything.

This is great hotel in a good location. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is very good with a good selection of foods to choose from. If you need to use the WiFi it is not the best, it's very slow and sometimes difficult to connect to.

The Best Western in Escondido is consistently great. As a business traveler that stays in hotels 100+ nights per year, this facility ranks at the top every visit. The staff is exceptional, excellent wifi, all guest room doors are internal, mattress are always extremely comfortable. I will continue to stay her many times throughout the year.

The hostess was absolutely amazing. There was a warm greeting and we were in our rooms in no time. The room was so comfortably decorated and the pillows were to die for. The most comfortable pillows I've ever experience. Thank you BW.

I reserved two rooms at the Best Western Hotel (BW) in northern Escondido, CA, for two nights while my daughter's house, located two miles away, was fumigated. I stayed in this hotel once before, about ten years ago. I was very happy with the facility ten years ago, and was happy with it on this occasion, although the hotel is starting to show its age. This BW is akin to the facilities operated by LaQuinta Inn, both in quality and price. Both chains offer larger rooms and higher quality furnishings and water closets than do the lesser chains, usually at $20-$40/night more. Believe me, staying at these somewhat more expensive hotels is worth the money. This BW does have its own webpage, with pictures. Making reservations is best done by calling the hotel directly @ 760-740-1700. Discounts are available, when mentioned, for active or retired military, and seniors/AARP members. This BW is attentive to the needs of the disabled, just let the desk know when making reservations. Although the I-15 freeway is only an 8-iron away, no road noise was heard in our rooms which were on the back side of the hotel. No such noise was noted in the lobby or in the breakfast room both of which face the freeway.

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfy, there's actually enough parking for everyone! There seems to be some nice hiking trails in the area, and Escondido is located very close to some delicious LOCAL food, including Phil's BBQ and the secret gem of EscoGelado. This property has pretty much everything going for it, with the possible exception of the internet speed. It is by no means snail's pace, but it is not as fast as some of the other BW properties I've stayed at. If this was a cheaper hotel, I'd be a bit more lenient, but since this property is more of the mid-range pricing (as far as the BW averages go), I personally would have liked to see slightly faster internet. You'll still get plenty of work done, and the price itself is not ridiculously steep. For the value of comfort, proximity to other great spots, as well as a pretty good breakfast, I'd recommend this hotel. Olivia was also a professional person overseeing the breakfast. She made sure everything was rest and running like clockwork. I admire that, since breakfast is the second most important part to me on a BW stay. The first is cleanliness. Both expectations were satisfied, and therefore I am as well.

Stayed here on a one night business trip. The staff was friendly and checked us in quickly. The hotel was clean and included a free breakfast buffet. My room was on the 4th floor. The room was clean and included a nice shower, despite an outdated shower head. The bed was quite comfy and made for a good night of sleep. The breakfast buffet had a waffle maker, eggs, bacon, pastries and cereal. Overall a good value. I would gladly stay at this hotel again.

Nothing grand about this hotel but I am very happy with their reception. Staff are very welcoming and that's a score. Room is pretty small but clean. However, the hallway on the 4th floor smells a bit musty. Must be the carpet. Good breakfast included. Parking is free. Good location right at the corner and not too far from the freeway ramp to the Old Town San Diego. Will consider again on my next visit in town.

This Best Western was amazing! There was a laundry room which accepted card/PayPal and that was super helpful being that I didn't have to make change for quarters...the hotel was gorgeous it felt as if we were in a Hilton! There were dog treats available at the front desk, the breakfast was amazing and so much assorted meats, scrambled eggs and egg and cheese omletts. Our room was beautiful and it overlooked the city/pool and that was just s regular room the was even s fridge and microwave which we weren't expecting...The bathroom was beautiful and the elevators were clean and smelled very pleasant unlike some places. I would stay here again in a heart beat!

We've stayed here many times and everyone is always great. We've gotten upgrades several times with a small up charge. Very friendly folks and breakfast is good and fresh. It's very conveniently located off the freeway.

We needed to stay a few days because they were painting our bedroom. It was a wonderful stay. Very comfortable and large room. Close to the freeway, there for close to everything. Full breakfast, and friendly people. Will reccomend this to people visiting us.

Friendly helpful and accommodating staff. Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Tastey breakfast with many selections including eggs, bacon, sausage, make your own waffles, fresh fruit, cereals, etc. Pool, fitness room, coin laundry. Some of the furnishings could use replacing. Enjoyed the spaciousness of the suite. We love staying here whenever we visit our son and family.

We stayed here with our 2 year old earlier this year. We stayed in the suite room with the door separating the living room from the bedroom, which was nice for our toddler to be able to sleep in quiet. We had the included breakfast every day - the food was standard breakfast fare - we enjoyed it. The location of the hotel is very close to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, which we went to during our stay. It's also pretty close to the San Diego Children's Discovery Museum, which was fun for our toddler. The hotel also has a pool and a gym on the property. The staff was very friendly as well.

I recently completed a 7-night stay at this hotel. Here are my overall impressions: Pros • Friendly, professional staff • Clean, average-sized room/bathroom • Very good TV reception/quality • Easy, free parking • Great location; close to Hwy 15 and Escondido stores/restaurants Cons • Very poor Wi-Fi coverage; rarely better than 50% bars anywhere in the hotel; on one Saturday, it dropped connection every 5 minutes for most of the day on both of my devices; unacceptable • Below-average breakfast; greasy sausage/bacon, terrible/dry scrambled eggs, no cut fruit – just apples, oranges & bananas • Noisy rooms; walls had good insulation, but could easily hear guests in the floor above • Hot & cold-water feeds in bathroom sink reversed; never a good sign • Weak shower water pressure • Overly hard mattress and uncomfortable pillows (based on my taste, of course) I would probably not stay here again.

Reserved a suite and may as well had a regular room - Expected more, VERY uncomfortable sofa bed, closet doors wouldn't close, room wasn't ready for three people, had to get our own pillows and TP, and cigarette butts back filled the sink

After a fast and easy check in, we went to our decent-sized room with comfortable furniture and bed. There was a mini-fridge with a freezer compartment and a small microwave. The room was well lit but the bathroom was not. We had a quiet night's sleep. The bathroom had plenty of counter space and the shower head was good. Breakfast was pretty good, but the hot items were processed. We were allowed a late check out at no extra charge.

Very clean, very nice lobby and breakfast area. Close to San Diego Zoo Safari Park, less than 15 minutes. Also close to a lot of restaurants and I 15. Breakfast is included and of course free parking.

We originally planned to spend 3 days to say goodbye to family before we moved to Mexico. But our car started making a noise in the front end so we had to have it looked at. The repair took 3 more days so we needed to extend. They were booked because of some convention going on and only had suites left. They made us a good deal on the suite and helped us move our stuff to the new room. As with any Best Western, the breakfasts are good and the pool here was nice. Will stay again whenever we return to States to see family.

Very nice hotel, convenient, close to the ramps for I15. About 15 minutes from San Diego Zoo's Safari Park. Lots of restaurants with in a short drive. I have stayed here before and would do so again. The breakfast is typical.

We stayed here while going to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park and were pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean the room and grounds were. Breakfast was great and my family enjoyed playing in the pool. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We were very comfortable here and plan to go back and stay with Best Western Escondido again.

Great service. Room was always clean. Fast help and great vending machine a and ice machine. Pool is awesome. Good breakfast. Air conditioner was only allowed to go to 68 degrees. Other then that it was very nice.

This has to be one of the cleanest hotels in its ranking that I've ever stayed at. The staff was friendly and readily available at all hours, the pool area is nice, and the complimentary breakfast is more than you could ask more. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone!

I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. It had all the amenities that I look for in a hotel: generous free breakfast, quiet room with a microwave and refrigerator, clean guest room and lobby, pool, hot tub...I could go on but instead I'll just let my rating speak for itself...5 out of 5.

Stayed here for 2 nights and my room (301) was huge and very very clean. The staff is really nice and accommodating - I was able to check in hours before and the girl at the front desk was so nice. Very close to freeway and easy access in and out of Escondido. Best hotel I have stayed at in Escondido. Will stay here again.

My husband and I always stay at this Best Western Escondido Hotel. We love that the rooms are always clean, the staff is always warm and friendly and very helpful. The freeway is very close to come and go and we have family that live close by to visit. We would never think about staying at any other hotel. We highly recommend a stay at this particular hotel!!! Not very accommodating for soccer tournaments. For the price, there are not that many options and it's far from SoCal fields. Also, no workout room! Second floor had some smoking rooms but hallway and all nonsmoking rooms smelled like smoke! Walls are paper thin - heard neighbor snore all night.

Bad area, homelesss population hang out around the back of the building in the parking lot, prostitutes were frequenting the hotel during our stay. Hotel staff were uncaring about these and other problems. We were travelling with an elderly person in our party and requested extra pillows and due to the size of our party, Bobby told us we were not allowed the extra pillows for our guest. After we argued he finally consented reluctantly. Staff were overall condescending and unhelpful when we raised our concerns over these issues.

Very clean rooms and friendly hotel staff.. good location to be able to get around to the different sites and right off the freeway. Breakfast was good and the pool was very nice. They were very helpful with a map for us and told us how to get there.

This Best Western is awesome, i originally came to to location because there were pet friendly, now I stay at this hotel every business trip in North San Diego County, the customer service is exceptional, I attribute this to their General Manager Brandy, the hotel is always clean and updated, the pool and jacuzzi very clean and enjoyable.

We like the location. It's close to all the San Diego attractions. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are big and well decorated. Rooms were also clean. The internet service worked good. The free breakfast was very good, lots of choices. We're going to stay there again.

This hotel and staff were lovely. Checked in after a 3 hour drive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room spotless and well appointed. An excellent consideration for spending the night before visiting San Diego Zoo Safari Park which is only a 10 minute drive away. Free breakfast bar filled with many delicious food items and hot coffee. Overall a wonderful place to stay.

We needed a place to stay after a do it yourself move. We were very tired and needed a nice, quiet place to stay before staying with family and then moving to a new residence and this fit the bill. I have not stayed at other hotels in Escondido but just based on location and outside appearance, this one was the best. Ground floor on the back side of the building and we didn't hear anything. Bed was a little soft but I am used to a firm mattress so I don't consider this a negative. We did not take advantage of the pool or the breakfast so I cannot rate those things.

Was looking for a place near the Palomar Medical Center as we were visiting a close friend in for emergency treatment. Staff was very welcoming and helpful at getting us checked in and to our room. Accommodations were typical BW, soft and comfortable bed, coffee pot, refrigerator, and such...nicely appointed. Breakfast was good and the pool looked inviting (didn't get a chance to try it out). All in all, a nice stay in Escondido.

This place is great. Good home base for a lot of nearby attractions. Don't think old school Best Westerns. Think super clean. Lots of bright parking. Easy access. A remote that comes in a bag that says "clean remote". Staff was super friendly. I'd booked 2 nights separately and they merged my reservation painlessly. Breakfast is glorious. Hot. Lots of options. Runs for hours. Cleaner than your home kitchen. For serious. Fun spots like the Alta Vista Gardens and the many trails of nearby Poway are all quick and easy from here. The cute little town of Vista. There is a great grocery store 2 minutes away (that feels like a neighborhood grocery store). Rooms have fridges and microwaves. And windows that open. This is also right next to a super clean RV park (no other details), so if you were doing some sort of meet up with the grandparents...maybe a good option as well. Gas station across the street.

If you stay in top floor the thin ceiling problem is eliminated and you should have an excellent stay. The room is well appointed with comfortable bed. Service is excellent and the morning breakfast is terrific.

OK place, but hotel is old and the rooms badly need renovation. Musty, smoky odor in my room and the carpet and furniture needs replacing, Bed was OK, bathroom clean, nice little refrigerator. Shower worked great with hot water almost instantly available. Free parking.

Comfortable, quiet Stay. Perfect location close to wild animal park. Our check in was a breeze just the nicest people work there. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was good, not great but plenty of choices.

Nice clean rooms, a bit out dated. Stains on the couch in my king room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Has continental breakfast that included bacon and eggs. Not much in walking distance. Near highway.

The hotel itself was just fine. Friendly staff, breakfast was good, room was as-advertised and internet was acceptable. But Best Westerns' political posturing makes me no longer a customer. So I can't give them higher.

Hot breakfast was delicious with a varied selection of items. The room was large and had a microwave and fridge. Hot tub and pool were outside in a peaceful setting with plants and trees. The hotel staff were welcoming and so helpful. Access to the freeway is easy and there are gas stations and stores very close by.

Our only complaint was the thin walls - we could hear people talking in the next rooms and could hear their TV. Other than that - the towels were good - large and fluffy. There were reading lights on each bed - a very nice touch. The WiFi was good. The Continental Breakfast was typical - the only hot food was the waffles. But, they did have cranberry juice.

We stayed 1 night. The location is right of the interstate and easy to get to. Loads of parking in front and behind the building. There is a really nice outdoor swimming pool but it was 2 cold to go in it. Check in was super easy with a very friendly staff. We were on the 4th floor and there is an elevator. Our room was spacious, comfortable and felt welcoming. The bed was comfortable. There was a good sized workspace with adequate electric plugs. The Wi-Fi was very good. The shower had really good pressure and nice hot water. Breakfast was varied and very good with 2 attendants on duty. There were a lot of tables and it was very clean. This is a great hotel at a great price!!

Have never stayed at a Best Western, but was pleasantly surprised by how nice our stay was. The staff was incredibly attentive and helpful. The breakfast was very nice. Coffee was delicious and they had a good selection of quality items. We normally stay at Hyatt Place and this Best Western breakfast was MUCH better. Our room was simple and clean. No complaints!

I have been delaying writing this review because I have stayed here in the past and have given it a great rating. This stay was bad and I will not be returning. The entire hotel smells like dogs. The hotel is pet friendly. In the past they offered non-pet friendly rooms but not any more. I asked why and the reply was that they sponsor dog shows and encourage guests to bring their dogs. I prefer not to sleep with my dogs or someone else's dog hair.

It really is a joy when you get what you ask for. At this point in my life, I do not expect it. So when an establishment delivers, I'm pleasantly surprised and extremely appreciative. This hotel is well kept. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast better than most - with options for the health conscious as well as for those looking to indulge a little. Most importantly, the room was blissfully quiet. It is conveniently located off of I-15, but I really never heard any highway noise while there. The icing on the cake was the reasonable price for the stay. It had been years since I stayed in a Best Western, but that may change if this hotel is typical of what the chain now offers.

My friend and I were seeking a last-minute room near the casinos in San Diego County. All full and grossly over-priced. I found this Best Western about 30 minutes away. I couldn't pass it up. I highly recommend you stay at this hotel if traveling on business or pleasure. Staff professional and the room was very, very comfortable.

Very close to the Safari Wild Animal Park. Very clean and well maintained hotel. Breakfast was good and the beds are comfortable. The staff was professional and helpful. I really enjoy staying at the Best Western.

This was in a very good location, just off the interstate the breakfast was OK but most items are very greasy or sugar coated The room was a nice size considering it had two queen beds in it I would stay here again

I stayed at the Best Western at 7 Oaks Escondido over Christmas for four nights. It was clean, comfortable and friendly with good service. I had no help with questions I had about the city or the hotel. The staff were friendly and competent without exception. I always stay here when I come to Escondido.

I am always looking for a nice clean place to stay in Escondido. this hotel exceeded my expectations. Nice clean rooms & great staff. I will make this my go to place when I am in Escondido visiting family.

Another fine stay at a Best Western Hotel. Will not stay at any other hotel due to the great experiences with Best Western. Try them out, you won't be disappointed. The continental breakfest is great too.

I used to live in the North San Diego County area and passed by this property thousands of times, now I live in Los Angeles, and had a work assignment in Escondido, I could not have been more pleased with this property. My initial room assigned to me had very poor internet reception, the very nice young lady at the front desk moved me and upgraded me. Customer service is very important to me, and this location has excellent customer service. The property is adjacent to the freeway, if the windows were kept closed the noise was very minimal, although once you opened the windows, the was significant road noise. Overall a great property with a great pool and jacuzzi, and outstanding customer service.

AS far as Best Westerns go, its a solid one, with nice large rooms. The rooms include a large flat TV, frig and microwave. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly, and the free breakfast was very nice, and included eggs and waffles. Good wifi, plenty of parking and easy access to the freeway.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and love the updates they have done to the hotel and rooms. They now allow dogs in the hotel (I love animals), normally it would be a good thing. Having to deal with a migraine while there and a dog barking continuously for a few hours was not the most pleasant. I feel for the dog, not sure if they left the dog alone or just didn't care it was barking for several hours. Not the hotels fault, I blame the owners. However, it would have been nice to explain to the owners they are responsible for their pet (I would have assumed they knew that).

We have stayed here every year for the last six years. The recent remodel was much appreciated, but the hotel was acceptable prior to the remodel. The breakfast is great for getting started each morning. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is usually very quiet.

I would stay at another BW when traveling. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean as well as the rest of the building. I would highly recommend friends and family to stay at a BW.

A very nice place to stay. Clean and with friendly staff. Great breakfast with vegetarian, vegan and Gluten-free options. We arrived on a Friday and checked out on Monday. The breakfast lady was very friendly but was very respectful of people that just wanted a quiet breakfast and she made sure the breakfast area was always clean and she was always there to assist with anything (like the waffle iron). She made us feel like were were visiting a friend. The room was clean and maid service was pleasant and did a great job.

Spent a few nights while visiting the Safari Park. Found the hotel clan and well maintained with a well lit parking lot. The bed was comfortable and all elements in the room worked. Breakfast was hot and well stocked despite the best efforts of the players prepping for a soccer tournament.

Great location and service. Very convenient and staff provides attentive personal service. Late check in service was quick and efficient. Also, the breakfast options were plentiful and displayed in an easy to access manner. The guest room was very comfortable with a great bed for a restful sleep.

Our second stay here. Rooms clean and roomy. the beds were very comfortable. Air conditioner worked and had variation in fan speed. Staff friendly, helpful and professional. Great location. Close to restaurants and freeways. . Safe area. Would highly recommend this hotel when staying at Escondido. Have stayed elsewhere and not at all satisfied.

My daughter and I stayed here while attending her brother's wedding. Our room on the third floor was quiet and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good with scrambled eggs and bacon/sausage, fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, yogurt, boiled eggs and make-your-own waffle. Great location, too.

We were in Escondido for a friends funeral and wanted to stay the evening someplace close. This is my first Best Western that I can remember but it won't be my last. From the fast easy check in and the friendliness of Cricket the desk clerk who made dinner suggestions and signed me up for their rewards program to the cleanliness of the facility and rooms it is clear that this staff cares about their hotel. The room was super clean and quite and included a sitting area with a larger than normal flat screen. Nice modern decor and comfortable bed. The breakfast area is awesome with the usual fare and a great view of the pool area. If your travels find you in Escondido and in need of a great room at a good price this is your place.

Stayed here for a little over a week, lobby always had a bad smell like piss. No Securtiy on side and back doors so anyone could enter the property. Rooms were ok. Very big selection of cable channels. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was fine as well.

Comfortable room, easy to use WIFI, super breakfast buffet..Excellent lighting in the bathroom and a very comfortable bath tub (need to soak after 18 holes of golf in 95 deg. heat!) Had a drape that would not completely close but that was minor.

Highly recommended BW Escondido! - great location, clean facilities, comfy bed and beddings, large room and hall ways! Make sure to have breakfast!!! Fresh waffles!!!! FREE PARKING!!!! Not to mention WI-FI too!!!!

Internet was spotty, blankets were dirty, cable didn't work and the elevator inspection was EXPIRED and sounded like it was in need of repair. I would not recommend this hotel. The front desk was also extremely slow and customers did not feel like a priority.

We stayed in a suite at the Best Western Escondido Hotel and it was very nice. Living Room was large with dinning table and small kitchen. Bedroom was also very nice. We recommend this Hotel for a Great Stay !

I choose this hotel for its closeness to the Safari Park. Location is good, right off of the freeway & close to restaurants. Staff was very nice!! Free breakfast was good. Rooms are a little outdated & run down. My sheet had a rip in it & blanket had a hole in it. Rooms didnt seem super clean but that may have just been the rooms showing their age. I would stay her again simply based on convenience

Have stayed in this BW a couple of times when visiting family. Nice, large, quiet room. Bed is ok...like that they have regular blanket instead of comforter. Nice breakfast with a variety of options. Would stay here again.

In town for a family members wedding. Room rates were prearranged and very reasonable. Staff and hotel are great. Right of the freeway and access to eating, etc. Breakfast was included. Coffee didn't have much taste, but overall breakfast was fine.

It started by accepting a non-smoking room with the smell of smoking. They took us to another room. The room itself is old-fashioned and unpleasant-looking. The bed is uncomfortable and the pillows as well. And worst of all, there is no acoustic insulation at the hotel. You hear loud noise from any movement around the room, especially when someone showers or takes water off the toilet. Sleep on the 2 nights in which we slept in the hotel was poor with a very early awakening. A very basic breakfast. The bright spot in this hotel is the smile of the waitress in the dining room. Hotel is bad and not recommended.

Best pet friendly hotel we have stayed at with great breakfast, professional courteous staff and an adjoining RV park that welcomed our dog in their dog park. We definitely return to this hotel with or without our dog.

The customer service and beds were great. The breakfast was tasty and was filling. My only complaint is that the walls are a little thin..it was soccer tournament weekend and we could hear the kids outside the door all night long:(

Room was clean. Staff was cordial. Close to RV Park which was great for family reunion since some had RVs. Close to several highways. Central to mountains, beach, Wild Animal Park, wineries, San Diego.

Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were a bit dated but clean the bed was comfortable. They are also pet friendly and have a pet run right near the property. overall satisfied with stay. I would stay there again

It is difficult to find a nice hotel that accepts pets. Cricket was very accommodating when we told her we would be traveling with our two rough Collies and needed a hotel to stay at for four nights. We had the perfect room on the fourth floor and at the end of a hallway which is important when you have "guard dogs". We didn't have to deal with people constantly walking by our room or overhead. The room was large enough for all four of us so we were not stepping all over each other. When we came back after a long day of spending time with family our room was always clean and fresh. The staff was always friendly. The breakfast was good and always kept full so they didn't run out of anything. The parking spaces are tight not meant for large vehicles at all. We would definitely stay again if we return to Escondido.

I drove down to Escondido from Santa Barbara for an important sales appointment. I thought I'd get a good nights sleep and awake refreshed for my meeting. No such luck. The room air conditioner was noisy and ineffective. The hotel staff indifferent.

This was the most enjoyable stay at a BW I've had yet. The staff were all very friendly, the breakfast was very good with lots of choices, and the rates are fair. It's right next to a shopping center and gas stations so you have all you need. The front desk staff will give you a list of restaurant options near by so that was very helpful. I would highly recommend this BW.

Most Best Western hotels are pretty clean. This one was not. This was surprising. The bathroom needed a good cleaning. The in room refrigerator smelled bad. The air conditioner was noisy and smelled bad.

Special thanks to "Reni", manager? She was so friendly, calm, helpful to a well managed crowd filled environment! She was careful to keep an eye out and nothing was too trivial for her to attend. We appreciated and enjoyed the food! Good job, Reni!

Stay here for an event locally and the staff across the board seemed to put forth extra effort to make the experience much better. The location was within a short distance to our event. The breakfast was by typical good Best Western standards better than average.

we chose this particular Best western because it was close to our family reunion we were attending on Saturday. I would have to say it was definitely one of the better Best Western Hotels we have stayed at. the location was close enough to visit San Diego, Coronado Island and local Beaches with out paying the high prices.

Bathroom was not clean. Mildew around bathtub. Stains on the floor. Towels smelled like spoiled milk. TV remote control didn't work. Breakfast girl was rude. Spa was dirty and water smelled like old cigarettes.

The Staff is ready to help at anytime and welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable, clean, & updated. The beds were wonderful - slept very well. The eggs are the best. This is a hotel that we will return to for our trips.

I have been staying at this Best Western for a long time while conducting business in the North San Diego county area. The rooms are always nice and clean. The facility has been newly remodeled throughout. Nice Staff. Easy to find. Good location in relation to San Diego and the beach cities.

My wife and I wanted a nearby get away for our anniversary. We chose this BW and had one of our best BW experiences. The staff was professional and courteous. The suite was large and then some. Not one, but two televisions. The bathroom was huge. The hotel was packed, yet plenty of everything was available. Well done.

We have stayed at several Beat Westerns and decided this hotel is def for us! We loved the one here in Escondido. It was close to the San Diego Safari which was awesome! We love how the BW has the breakfast in the morning. A special shout out and thank you to Reni who made our breakfast pleasurable when we asked for some Ice for our coffee. She offered to grab some from the machine however I declined...but she did it anyway on her excellent customer service skills. She also fixed our wobbly table with a packet of oatmeal...lol! I myself have been worked in hotels and know that customer service and going beyond to make sure guest are happy is key!!! We will definitely be back to Escondido Best Western! Thank you to everyone!

We chose this hotel for its proximity to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. It is located fairly close to the Interstate highway to the Safari Park, and only about a 20 minute drive via I-15 S and San Pasqual Rd. The rooms are clean and well-organized. Staff we found particularly helpful were desk clerks Cricket and Bobby.

I've been staying at this hotel three or four times a year for 20 years. Of course I like it or I couldn't say that. What I notice each time is something better or improved over last time. This time the complimentary breakfast was outstanding (has always been good) with the addition of sausage and bacon and scrambled eggs. I Also like the free USA Today instead of the San Diego Union-Tribune fish wrapper they used to have. Noticed the elevator has been re-done nicely too. Obvious signs of excellent management. And I want to give a tip of the cap to housekeeping. They do an excellent job with the rooms.

We had a wedding this weekend and we stayed at the Best Western. I heard the rates were $249.00 per night if we did not have the wedding block. I did not think this hotel was worth that if we stayed their normally

Hotel was perfect for our needs. Nice two queen room with nice bathroom. Comforters on bed were a little old looking. Pool was perfect for us as well as the hot tub. We stayed just one night after the safari park.

I stayed in this hotel a week for business. The room are very quiet, big and clean. The breakfast is fine and the staff very nice. This is also very convenient because a direct connection to the 15 freeway.

I want to first say this is a good location and Escondido is a good place in North San Diego County! We had great service by Reni this morning when the family had breakfast! She helped my children and I would love for her to be recognized! The hotel is clean and has been updated. Pool and spa are nice. The only thing that makes this a 4 star from 5 was when we checked in and Bobby helped us check in. Bobby asked for my Drivers License but I left it at home and so my wife provided hers that we found out was expired. He shamed us at the front counter and I felt like I was at the DMV and we all know how that experience is! We are good paying customers and have been for years. But this experience was disappointing. The price was very good considering the time of the year. We will be coming back in the future but please train your employees in customer service. That's what the hotel business is all about. Excellent place to stay. It was very clean inside and out. The place was well maintained. The decor was pleasing. The staff was friendly. We loved staying at Best Western Escondido. Lots of restaurants near by and shopping. We're definitely staying there again soon!

I stayed at the Best Western in Escondido because they allow dogs, and I was traveling with my dog. My stay was "fine". Little annoyances...broken lamp at desk, slow internet, phone messaging system not working properly. I appreciated the free breakfast, although the multiple containers for "tips"was a bit much.

Very comfortable, exceptional breakfast, very pleasant environment. recently remodeled, nice amenities. great locations, easy freeway access but not noisy. close to downtown. Escondido has a lot of jewels in it to be discovered.

We chose to stay at this hotel because we were driving in from Vegas and wanted a place close to the nearby San Diego Zoo Safari Park for the following day. The hotel looks like your average Best Western from outside. On the walk to our room, I noted that the hallway was not very clean in spots. Once in our room, everything was clean, but seemed dated. The room got high marks from me for having a decently comfy armchair. The room had a mini fridge, but we were instructed that if we wanted to use it that we needed to turn it on. I'm noticing some things are just done a little differently in California and this just may be one of them. We did sleep well that night, but that was as much due to being very tired as to the quality of the room. Breakfast is served, but only until 9 am. We'd had a long day and slept in late enough to miss breakfast, so I have no clue what their breakfast was really like. Check out was at 11 am. Wifi was good. One thing that bothered me was that there was no restricted access (for hotel guests only) to the side door near us. Perhaps someone came along at night and locked this door, but when we returned from dinner at almost 9 pm, the door was still open to all. A gas station with convenience store is just across the street. Otherwise you will need to go down an exit or two to find food options. Ultimately we had a good night's sleep here, but would pass on a future stay.

While the people at the front desk (morning shift) are excellent. The night shift needs to remember who is staying there. Housekeeping also needs to have a check list when servicing the rooms. I stayed for 18 days and almost every day something was missing, coffee, soap, TP. There needs to be a quality control person who randomly enters a "cleaned" room to inspect. Also very difficult to do business in, internet almost non-existing.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast is excellent and has a variety if items to choose from and the breakfast area is well taken care of. Clean modern rooms and ample parking. Located close to the highway but far enough to be quiet. This was my first stay here but I intend to go back.

We had a nice stay. Requested top floor room not on freeway side and it was quiet. Found old used towel in bathroom but was otherwise clean. Ceiling drywall tape was peeling off in one place. Decor and carpet old but clean. Still an ok stay for the price. Enjoyed the pool once I removed all the dead bees. Breakfast was good except lack of fresh fruit and juice.

Family was staying at this hotel and therefore I booked here also. I was not expecting a lot and was quite surprised and pleased with everything at this facility. The staff was amazingly kind and friendly, not a frown to be seen. I checked out early and was doing sight-seeing and they graciously allowed me to leave my car in the parking lot and held my luggage so it was not sitting out in the heat all day. Breakfast was delicious with many choices. Room was clean and everything worked great. Did not use the pool but saw others and they seemed happy. I could see the pool/spa from my room and they appeared sparkling clean. Close to stores and a lot of food options.

The stay in Southern California was was a great experience. I would stay at this escondido best western location again! Great place in between vista and valley center where I needed to be for a wedding.

I felt that over $200 a night was way overpriced for this property. Having the most expensive room, the two bedroom suite, the experience should've been flawless but the mattress was so terrible I had to end up sleeping on the floor.

Best breakfast I've eaten in. Comfy rooms. Nice maid service. Easy in and off fwy. Spa was wonderful at end of day. When I needed to print amusement park tickets the use of computer and printer for free made that super easy

When we can't get a free room at the casino we come here we love it and don't mind putting the extra money out they are so nice there it's all new beds are great close to sandiego and casino and oceanside

Always stay at this Best Western when traveling to San Diego for business or pleasure. Hotel is always very clean, and the staff is always professional and accommodating. Convenient Location to shops, restaurants, attractions.

Overall, the room was adequate and clean. The complimentary breakfast served every morning was a great way to start the day and for our limited budget. The location of the hotel was near to lots of stores and malls and ideal for our relatives to pick us up at and visit.

It is a nice place to stay. The people are nice, and the breakfast is good. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast choices were very good and the quality of the food was top notch. My only negative is that there is no light switch next to the entry door. Which makes the trip to the light next to the bed a bit of an adventure in the dark.

Our family really enjoyed this Best Western Hotel. The location was perfect for visiting the SD Wildlife Park, the facilities were clean and worked, and all of us had a great time. We would definitely stay here again, if visiting this area.

We were looking for an economical, nice hotel for the weekend so we didn't have to drive back and forth from Orange County. The location was convenient and they allow pets which helped save money because I would have had to board my dog otherwise. The breakfast was great. Good options and delicious waffles! We used the pool too. Towels were provided and the lounge chairs and were nice too! We had a very nice stay and will definitely stay again if we need to be in the area again.

This hotel is located about 7 miles from Safari Park and it takes about 15 minutes to drive. The hotel is very clean and the room are very nice. The breakfest is very good with a good selection of food. They service is excellent. The hotel staff is helprul and able to answer question. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We recently had the pleasure of spending three nights at the Escondido Best Western. The hotel is in a great location; very convenient to the freeway, shopping, restaurants and all of the activities in San Diego. The grounds are well kept and it is next to an RV park with lots of trees which gives a rural feeling. They are pet friendly (charging $25.00 for the entire stay) and there are lots of places for a nice long walk. We were in a mini suite which was very large with a king bed, sofa & chair, coffee table, desk and a long counter area with a coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. It seemed a little strange that there was no sink, but it was still very nice to have. The room was nicely furnished, very clean and the bed was comfortable. This best western serves a great breakfast; far above average in my opinion. There was about everything you could want; eggs, meat, waffles, fruit, cereal, etc. and enough space to accommodate everyone. The customer service is wonderful! We really enjoyed our stay and I highly recommend this Best Western when visiting the San Diego/Escondido area.

For the last 4 years we always come back and stay here. We have tried another chain hotel, but it wasn't as nice as this one, and cost more. Quick on and off the freeway, close to downtown and friendly service.

Clean hotel, friendly staff. The swimming pool and the hot tub was clean. I thought the hotel room lighting was a little dim, however my girlfriend thought it was perfect. Compared to other surrounding hotels and motels this Best Western looked superior. It was a little pricey but often we get what we pay for. Some of the best waffles I've ever eaten. No shortage of food o display at their continental breakfast.

The hotel is adequate. It is clean enough, quiet enough, right on I-15. It was pretty full during my 2-day stay, so the breakfast room filled up fast...but the staff opened an extra room for seating. We went out to pool, which was very nice. If you are looking for a nice, mid-range hotel, this may not be it... maid service did not happen until after 4:00pm for me, and never for my mother's room. The front desk staff was nice to credit the bill. The hallways and elevators never seemed to get cleaned-- smudges and crumbs. The room was fine. Bed comfortable, towels fluffy-- remote in a "cleaned for you" bag-- so, you can check out the other options in Escondido, but like I found out.. the Best Western seems to be the best on paper...

Nice place. Good value for the money. Excellent breakfast. Safe and secure. Good proximity to essentials. Wi-find. Pets accommodated! Had an issue with phone not working, and with housekeeping but was amply credited on the bill. Appreciated the willingness of management to make it right.

The location was easy to get to and find and was central to what I was doing. The personnel were very helpful and the breakfast was much better than most hotel breakfasts. All in all it was a great experience.

We used this hotel as a 2 day stop over to visit family between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The hotel room was very spacious and clean and the pool view was lovely. We were travelling with our 2 boys age 5 and 8 so we always look for a pool and this hotel did not disappoint it was warm clean and quiet and the hot tub was HOT!! It's a lovely area to stay in, very quiet and feels safe walking around. We have a relative that has become a Buddhist monk and resides at The Metta Forrest Monastery which is a 20min drive up the mountain, It has breath taking views that do not look real and is so peaceful and quiet and has lots of humming birds around which are beautiful to watch. We also went to balboa park which is world famous and is great to stroll around with the kids and have lunch, it has museums and street performers and stalls to see also. We would definitely return to this hotel as it also provides a free breakfast which is nice. Our highlight of this hotel was to sit in the hot tub when the sun is going down and listen to the world go by looking up at palm trees in the warm night air. PERFECT!! Just one more thing to mention for adults ears only - the walls are THIN !!!! the room next door to ours were having a loud bit of fun at midnight which did not bother us as it was quite amusing - our kids slept through it !!

I was really pleased with this hotel and was pleased to see they accept dogs and even have dog treats on the counter! The rooms were big and clean and the bed was very comfy. Although the hotel is quite big, my room was nice and quiet. They made an effort to make the free breakfast more appealing than most places.

overall the hotel is nice but the hallways and especially the elevator was in need of cleaning the room however was very clean and the bed and pillows are very good quality. the staff is very good. the food in the breakfast buffet was ok if you can deal with imitation eggs

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly . The beds were comfortable. The breakfast had a lot of variety including waffles, eggs, toast, cereal, fruit, and yogurt. It was about 30 minutes from the Safari Park.

We had a group of 32 adults and children and EVERYONE loved our stay. The beds were comfy, the breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We loved the pool and hot tub and just being together in a clean, pleasant environment. Even the housekeepers were sweet and willing to accommodate our crazy schedules. We felt like the price was more than reasonable for the services and the fun time we had!! We would definitely stay there again if we are ever in the area again!!

I have been staying at this hotel for over 20 years, 2 or 3 times a year. This previously was the premier hotel in the area if you wanted a good clean place that was close to the interstate. It is now starting to show its age. The elevator doesn't have any floor left on it. The parking has been restriped so that your car is so close to the next one that you are going to get a door ding no matter what, and good luck finding a spot after 10 PM. Routine maintenance of the hotel seems to be no longer a priority and it looks dingy. If you have an electric car, don't come here, because none of the electric chargers have worked since October 2016. Additionally, gasoline vehicles are parked in EV spots because this place simply doesn't have enough parking after dark. The management really needs to understand these chargers need to work, and they need to have designated parking. Pros: The rooms are still quiet, and it is very convenient to Interstate 15. Cons: The Wi-Fi is horrible. I'm here on business, and the Wi-Fi works okay during the day when nobody is here. Once people start checking in, don't count on being able to maintain any sort of connection after 6 PM. I'm not talking about video streaming, I'm talking about simply checking my email, Facebook, Instagram, etc. The Wi-Fi here reminds me of a third world country. In fact, last time I was in a third world country the Wi-Fi was better than this place. The cleanliness of the bathrooms was sketchy as well. The breakfast is the standard Best Western breakfast. They have the waffle maker, boiled eggs, bagels, toast, some kind of microwave powdered eggs specially made for Best Western, and undercooked bacon. They have a microwave so you can finish cooking the bacon, once you push through the crowd in the cramped breakfast area to get to the microwave. There is an overflow area to sit down on the other side of the reception desk that they will usually open up for you. My next trip to the area I'm going to try some of the newer places in San Marcos. I can't tell whether this place is under new management and they don't understand how to maintain their facility, or whether they no longer care about business travelers. The lack of good Wi-Fi is really a dealbreaker for me. I am usually driving rental cars here so the door dings are not a huge deal, but if you have an expensive car or an electric car you really need to go elsewhere.

Our Best Western room was one of the nicest rooms we have enjoyed in all of our travels. We stayed two nights to visit the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The facility was excellent. The desk staff were very helpful and directed us to the dining that we desired. We will be back on our next Safari.

The hotel was average, the room comfortable but the breakfast was extremely poor. As often the toaster required 3 passes to become even lightly tanned. The rest of the food was just as poor. We didn't bother.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this Best Western Escondido Hotel. Upon arrival, Registration desk was under construction....and in a different location...apparently revamping/upgrading? Not sure, it wasn't explained....anyways, stayed in Room #301. It's a corner room, so you get a lot of natural light and 2 1/2 windows (Port hole -1/2 window). Just loved it! You overlook an RV campground with lots of trees. I enjoy camping so I found the room to be very relaxing...kind of a treehouse. Attended an event at Pala Casino, which is about 25 minute drive. Less expensive hotel than Temecula hotels. Ask to stay in Room #301, you will not be disappointed.

We've stayed at several BW in California and most are above average overall and priced accordingly. At this property, our room was clean, we were treated well with their courteous staff and service. The only thing missing when compared with other BW, is that there was no complimentary bottled water in our room or fresh fruit and snacks in the lobby. But they did have hot waffles at their complimentary breakfast and hard boiled eggs (cold) which was fine.

I spent 3 nights at the Best Western Hotel last week. I was visiting family in Escondido, and had been worried about finding a safe place to stay as Escondido can be somewhat dicey. This hotel was undergoing renovations while I was staying there but my room was very comfortable, the location was great, I felt safe and the complimentary breakfast was ample. I'd def stay here again.

We checked in at 8 p.m. after driving all day. Sadly the second queen bed had sheets that had not been changed - only saw it when going to bed at 10 p.m. The bathroom sink filled up and would not drain even when just brushing your teeth. Gross. How was this cleaned if it was already stopped up? Gross.

We have stayed here many times over the past 7+ years. Even while remodeling was occurring, we were never inconvenienced. Staff is always very friendly & helpful, rooms clean and quiet. Best hotel in Escondido for the price.

I and extended family and friends stayed at the hotel for several days. The hotel is lovely, clean, comfortable, and within easy access to Balboa Park and Safari Park. The staff was very gracious to our large group and went out of their way to make hotel space available for easy visiting. Breakfast offered many choices. The guest laundry was a big help. While we were there, the lobby was being remodeled and the reception and breakfast areas had been temporarily relocated. The relocation was well designed so as not to impact guests. Great job and great stay!

Beginning October one, we spent six days visiting tourist sites in the San Diego area. We appreciated the ease of getting to and from a major expressway. Room noise was never a problem (fourth floor facing the expressway/window closed), room service as expected, front desk staff very helpful, parking easy and close by. We'll stay again.

All the staff at the hotel were awesome! Lobby area was under construction, but it wasn't a problem at all...My room was very clean, and kept clean for the length of my stay...My only issue were the pillows, which were way too soft...I asked if they had other pillows, but they didn't. I would highly recommend this hotel...

We always stay at this particularr Best Westerm since my family lives in the area. Veery friendly and helpful staff and a nice continental breakfast. Good beds too. We always feel welcome as repeat guests.

This was a really nice hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with local information. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. If I had a complaint about the room it would be we could have used some extra pillows. Another complaint we had was the breakfast. We had read a review on another website that they offered eggs & sausage but they didn't. We didn't want to start our day with carbs and sugar so we ended up finding a place to have breakfast. Everything else was great though and we'd definitely stay again.

The hotel is nice enough but sits in front of a trailer/RV park so that is a little different. The staff is nice and rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is continental with no eggs or hot entrees. Pool and hot tub are nice.

The room stunk when we first arrived -- went to office -- received bottle of Fabreeze -- no rooms available, so we were told. Too late to switch hotels. Senior member has COPD -- hard to breathe & emergency inhaler was used to stay the night. Next a.m. we complained again about 7 a.m., and we received another room just like the night before without mold -- I'm sure this room was available the night before, but we were not offered it. Greed for $$ -- maybe reserve the room for a late walk-in????

Excellent front desk service, and staff were very friendly. We had a 2 x double bed room. Beds were clean and comfortable and we could not fault the room except the airconditioner was not very adjustable. Cool was freezing cold. Nice and quiet also and yet in a good location in Escondido.

Nice place. Bed was way comfy. Smoke alarm went off when we got in the room. The staff was courteous and accommodating. Close to freeway, a small drive to malls, San Diego Safari Park. I would stay again.

All Best Westerns are different, but my experience is that they are all good places to stay, and some are superb; this one falls into the latter category. Check-in was quick and easy, and our fourth floor room was reached by a spacious and fast elevator. The room was very spacious, and well appointed. They had recently undergone a renovation, and it was obviously well executed. There were lots of little features that made a difference, such as individual reading lamps on the beds, a dedicated phone or computer charging station on the desk, a very quiet air conditioner, and two baggage racks. The beds were firm and very comfortable, and the WiFi performed perfectly. There was even consideration given to the smokers among us; a smoking area, with a nice table and chairs is provided adjacent to a side entry to the building, very nice! Glad to have chosen this place.

This hotel is easily located to local freeway and restaurants. It sits at a deadens street which makes the traffic flow quiet. The rooms are very nice and spacious. The breakfast was lacking and not refilled often but was adequate...they could improve this service.

Never had problems at a hotel getting fresh linen or the room made up until now. Front desk staff really unapologetic about everything, including having all doors but the front locked after 10 pm and you have to walk in the dark parking drive as the sidewalk does not go all the way around the building.

I stay at this hotel about two times per year when visiting family. I thought I should update my last review since several things have changed. You would think that a city the size of Escondido would have a better selection of hotels. The available hotels are generally older and run down. This one is now about 20 - 25 years old but has been well maintained. It is clean and located in a convenient location off Interstate 15 on the north end of town and north of Hwy 78. Despite being close to the interstate, I have found all the rooms to be free of any detectable road noise. This is a relatively quiet area which is a huge plus if you are a light sleeper. Speaking of light sleepers, avoid any rooms ending in 19. These are all right next to the elevator on each floor. The design of the elevator lobby is such that the other rooms are unaffected. Additionally the first floor rooms 100 - 110 are on a very heavily trafficked hallway on the way to the elevator. Avoid those. I am a business traveler, and Wi-Fi is essential for me to stay in touch with my office. My last visit in September 2016 the Wi-Fi was absolutely horrible. The speed was barely above an old dial-up connection, and it disconnected after 15 minutes or so every time. Unless they get this fixed, I'm going to have to really look elsewhere. The breakfast area is small and cramped during peak hours. The breakfast consists of fruit, breads and bagels, a waffle maker which was very popular, yogurt, milk, coffee, and fruit juice. They had an attendant there during the first hours which was very helpful in getting tables cleared off and directing people to the overflow area ( a meeting room ) if no tables were available. They mentioned that this area is going to be closed off soon for remodeling. There were three parking spots for electric vehicles. There are 2 Blink Chademo chargers and a Blink J1772 charger. Unfortunately they are located very close to the entrance and almost always have gasoline cars parked in them. If you use an electric vehicle you need to get there early. Management appears to be clueless about why these need to be designated for electric vehicles only. Parking spots in general seem to be narrower than average increasing the risk of door dings. Thankfully this facility has stopped charging the "electric surcharge" . The price you are quoted will now be the actual price you pay, plus tax. Normally I would give this facility for stars. Due to the horrible Wi-Fi I am reducing it to three stars, since as a business traveler Wi-Fi is as essential as running water and electricity.

My stay at the hotel was very good. The rooms are very well kept and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful. My check in and check out were uneventful and very easy. I would recommend a stay in best western.

This hotel was clean, quiet, located close to the freeway. The pool and spa were clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast was the usual stuff, but if you aren't looking for more than coffee and a muffin you'll be happy. Definitely worth the value.

Very convenient location near I-15 and restaurants. We had a nice large room with sitting area. Costs more than other Best Western locations where I have stayed. Breakfast was good. Room was attractive.

We stayed at this hotel last year. If possible this hotel was cleaner and fresher than the year before. Staff is very friendly. They have a pool that goes up to about 5 ft, a hot tub near the pool. Easy to hook up a video game counseled to the room tv. Microwave and fridge in the room. Our king room had a sofa, sitting area. Rooms are spacious. Free wifi. There is a complimentary breakfast with waffles, boiled eggs, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, pastries, milk, juice, coffee. We are very pleased with this hotel and plan to continue to use their services.

Stayed only for one Friday night since we were attending a Graduation in the area and this location was very convenient, right off the I-15. Clean and comfortable and we had a great nights sleep ?? their beds are very comfy!! Breakfast is included with the usual offerings of fruit, bagels, yogurt, cereal, do it yourself waffles, etc. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area and needed accommodations

My room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was very nice with one of the best hostesses I've had. The WiFi worked without issue. The elevator could use an update, but worked fine, just slow and noisy. The property was right off the freeway and very easy to both get to and get back on the road from.

Friendly and helpful staff! Booked the hotel for a week and weren't happy with the view of our room the first night and they had no problem putting us in a different room with a great view for the rest of the week! Wifi wasn't the greatest it kept disconnecting on our tablets/cellphones but wasn't a huge issues for us as we weren't at the hotel most of the time:) room was very nice n clean and updated. Would definitely stay here again if we ever go back to San Diego area!

Have stayed here before and especially like the staff. It's a bit set off from the center of town, but worth it as there's very little noise and traffic. They have a beautiful pool and the self-serve breakfast is quite convenient with many choices of food & drink. The people & pets that stay there are also worth the visit !

This was such an upgrade compared to where we originally booked! People were friendly and the rooms were clean and welcoming!! Perfect for resting your head being so far from home. The pool and the hot tub were beautiful and perfect after a day of running around visiting with family.

Very good experience. The staff is most accommodating. The hotel is kept very clean and it's quiet. It's very near the freeway and easy to get to. The breakfast is nice but the coffee is no good. Mid-priced which is good.

Lovely hotel, was clean with large room and friendly staff. This hotel met our needs to have slow start to our days, as we were in town to relax and visit family, not to tour. Had peaceful mornings at the pool reading and swimming, and enjoyed it one evening as well. Our overall experience was delightful. We'll be back as our son lives in the area.

Having to spend 7 days in Sand Diego for a softball tournament, being comfortable and getting rest was important. Having to wake at 5am depart for the fields by 6am, we needed to sleep well and have a breakfast ready. Returning after 4 games in the heat, it was teriffic to be able to jump in a nice pool and lounge w/ the rest of the team after games. This hotel gave us everything we needed.

We enjoyed the very spacious family suite for a group of 5 after long days sightseeing and visiting family in the area. The hotel is older and a bit dated in its room appearance. However it is meticulous and clean. The staff are very nice and very helpful. Also the continental breakfast buffet is nice before trekking the area. My only complaint about the room is that the mattress on the pullout sofa bed is too hard and not very comfortable unless you are a small child. Everything else was great and very affordable for a very expensive area.

The Escondido Best Western Hotel was a good find for an unexpected southern CA visit. Rate was reasonable. Location convenient and easy to get to. Staff were busy but helpful and made you feel the center of their attention. Free breakfast was nice. The hotel appears remodeled, consistent with other reviewer comments, and was clean. In room WiFi worked great.

We travel to Escondido every year. Frankly we had not been particularly impressed with the hotel selection. Last year we tried this Best Western. We found everything quite pleasant and so again the same this year. The staff is universally helpful and friendly. The accommodations are clean and well kept. Although there is nothing exceptional or unique about the property all in all everything is quite good. We anticipate a return next year.

The outside of this hotel is attractive and well maintained. The Lady at the check-in counter welcomed us a.with a lot of sympathy as if she had met us already before. She explained us all the highlights of the city and the surroundings. Comfortable room and satisfying breakfast. The hotel is situated nearby the SAFARI Z00, a visit is an absolutely must and not only for children!

The front desk staff was extremely welcoming and helpful, the rooms are up to date and very clean. I would recommend to anyone coming to the Escondido area for business or pleasure, very convenient to the highway, shopping and the beaches. We will definitely stay here again when traveling back through.

Nice clean well kept facility. It is apparent that much remodeling has been done recently at this location. The employees are friendly and helpful. It is located with easy access to freeways and local attractions.

I have reviewed this Hotel before and it remains my top pick for business in Northern San Diego. I recommend this place to my employees as well. They have gone through a major renovation and it looks very nice. Front desk people are very friendly , professional and pleasant. Again..very good value.. see you again in three months

I was really relaxed and pleased with the over thoughtfulness of the staff. The comfort of the hotel was excellent. Even other patrons were not loud or inconsiderate of other guests. I had a nice view out my window. A lot of extra needs were available to me such as hair dryer and iron.

I've stayed in a Best Western In 3 different states since January 2016 for a total of 10 days have always received excellent service. The staff at each Hotel were very helpful, friendly, and they made sure that our stay was a good experience.

Went to Escondido to visit children and grandchildren. This was the second time staying at this Hotel. It is in a great location, very clean, and friendly. Will plan on staying here again when we come back out to visit.

Recently stayed here and was very happy with my experience. The hotel is clean and inviting. My room was spotless and well decorated, and you could tell the staff take pride in their work. The bed was comfortable and I had a excellent nights sleep. All staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel provides an excellent resource sheet for nearby restaurants and things to do. Located near the freeway, but still very quiet. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We really liked this Hotel. It was in a good location for getting to beaches and close to Grand Ave, which had many fun restaurants and bars. The desk staff were very professional, friendly and had great suggestions for places to visit and eat. The free breakfast was outstanding. It had everything you need to start your day. Rooms were clean, and we liked the fancy tiled bathroom. The pool and spa were nice to come back to at the end of the day. Highly recommend it.

Everything was as it should be. Professional staff and clean facility. The front desk was a bit overwhelmed on check in and check out so each took longer than they should. Overall the stay was very pleasant and a good value for the price.

The staff and cleanliness were excellent but we wish the breakfast had hot eggs and bacon/sausage. The location was good for us as we visited family in town. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were quiet. We enjoyed the spa and will stay here again.

The rooms were nice, price was reasonable, the breakfast on offered waffles for a hot food item. Upon my return to my residence, I discovered that I had left a new pair of shoes at the hotel. I called them, they searched and found them and offered to ship them to my home. this is the first time I have ever received any item back that I have left in a hotel. Overall the place is nice.

They were in the process of replacing the beds throughout this hotel, so that's something to look forward to. Found continental breakfast disappointing, esp for my sister who was diabetic and needing protein that morning. Found out later that fast food and groceries are just west of the freeway (take a right back onto the main drag). Have to be a little heads up at night if you're out. Shell station across street. Room was nice with a larger fridge; beds were comfy. Carpeting in hall was a bit dated, but not bad. Nice lobby to hang out. Night guy went out of his way to try and find me a cord to recharge my cell, as I had some stuff get ripped off while traveling. VERY pleasant, and was accommodating to other guests as well. Laundry on 1st and 3rd floors.

Extra on everything. Front desk, service, room, and overall appearance were the best we've seen in a Best Western. The front desk staff was my favorite. We came to see the Safari Park and know would like to come back to visit more of the area. If we do, the is the only hotel we would consider staying. How come this hotel is not listed on the Safari website?

This hotel would be adequate if attention to basic housekeeping rules in vacuuming and cleaning were followed. Our room had a used condom wrapper near the couch that was still there after our room was serviced. The complimentary continental breakfast had a waffle station with so much syrup your feet would stick. These are easy fixes that could ensure all travelers have a more positive experience. The staff was friendly, the rooms were of good size and the bed was comfortable.

My experience was fantastic. The employees were very helpful, friendly and made my stay a very comfortable experience. I intially chose Best Western based on location and pricing. Wow!!!!!!, I got a great deal for my money's worth. The room was very spacious, clean and the decor was up to date. Great view of the pool and even took a dip at night. Pool and spa area was clean and the entire hotel was well kept. I am very happy with my experience and will certainly stay at this particular Best Western if ever in the San Diego area again.

We were just at this hotel for Spring Break. We had family staying int he RV Park right next door so this location was ideal. The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. We would definitely stay here again when we come to the Escondido area.

The hotel is fine. The front staff were efficient, friendly, attentive and competent. The hotel shows its age and is well past its prime. This hotel has no security, so be warned. All outer exits open without room keys and some of the people who work there do not wear identifying uniforms or badges, so it's a bit confusing who works there and who is just passing through. The room was clean, a bit worn, but everything worked and the shower was nice.The breakfast area needs attention - food everywhere, tables not cleared or cleaned, waffle mix all over the counter and on the floor. The space was wholly inadequate for the number of people using it.The common areas were not vacuumed while we were there, so it just looked shabby. It's close to markets, the Safari Park and some good wineries. If there had been other options in the area we probably would not have stayed the second night. For the value and for a short stay, it was average.

This motel represented the best value I have ever seen. The suite was surprisingly large for the low price, and it contained everything I needed for comfort and convenience. The motel has been recently remodeled and surroundings are very nice. Service was very attentive and the pool area is lovely.

There are limited good hotel choices in Escondido, CA, and the Best Western Escondido Hotel has never failed to exceed my expectations. They are in the midst of upgrading the rooms and amenities, which will make it even better when completed.

I brought 125 students and 12 adult chaperons to San Diego for our spring trip. I was very impressed with how everyone from Best Western treated me and my students. They gave us a great rate on rooms. We had 42 of them. And the desk attendees were so helpful to us and all of the high school age students. They made everything easier for us so we could enjoy our experience and make the most of our time. Simple things as opening up the conference room when we had breakfast and dinner to making time adjustments for when we had to leave early. All the kids were pleased with the condition of their rooms. I think this was a great place for traveling groups and if in the area, I will certainly bring my group back.

We had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast could have been better. Very limited. Plus there was some construction going on outside. But overall it was a pleasant experience. Location was close to where our family were staying. Hotel employees very nice.

We needed a quick solution and took Trip Advisor advice. SCORE! First impression came from Matt at front desk.... Our choice was confirmed the best. His hospitable welcome and help is not always found. Thanks Matt Room has no faults, hot tub hot, pool cool...can't go wrong with this quality and value.

overall a nice hotel, especially for price. right off of i-15 and easy to find. the hotel itself seems semi-recently updated and clean. our room had a fridge and lots of extra space. i didnt at all appreciate that they decided to do some remodeling outside of my room at 730am. i didnt know anyone could make that much of a repetative banging noise by simply scraping paint. i called the front desk to ask if they could have him do some work somewhere that wasnt right outside of my door and the response i got back was that the noise must have been coming from the rv park next door. really? come on now. i rarely get to sleep in and was really hoping that would happen. i was wrong. no noise the rest of the day, just from 730-830. couldnt they have done that work between check out and check in so it didnt inconvencience any guests? also, the wifi is a joke. dont expect to stream anything. i even had trouble getting facebook to refresh.

For the price and location of my business trip, this property is suitable but does not stand out in any special way. The breakfast is poor compared to other chains that offer breakfast items. Free parking was a plus.

Love the staff, very friendly and helpful, and location is close to amenities. If you need directions, the front desk will print the info and make it easy to get to wherever you want to visit. Pool area is nice but needed new chaise lounges the last visit, hope that the next time we come, this has been remedied.

Met expectations. The staff here are very nice people. This motel has a swimming pool. There's a fridge and microwave in each room. Breakfast was good. This hotel is close enough to the freeway for easy access but not so close as to be subjected to the noise. Easy check-in and check-out. The front desk was as professional as always, clean and ready to serve.

The person taking our reservation was very helpful, professional and nice! That was a good start! The value was excellent. Checking in and out were also very pleasant and easy. The room was clean and quiet. We definitely would stay there again.

Stayed here last night and the hotel fit our expectations. Clean and conveniently located for a wedding we were attending in the area. View could have been better as looking out window was pretty much eye level with a mobile home park.

This hotel is close enough to the freeway for easy access but not so close as to be subjected to the noise. They have a hot breakfast which is unusual in this price range of a hotel. They generally try to upgrade me to the suite for no extra charge when they are not full. The staff is very kind and accommodating. As I stay in 100 hotels every year, it means a lot to me to be nicely treated when away from home. The rooms are comfortable and nicely appointed for working on my computer, which I do when I'm not off teaching. My only wish is that they would add an electrical outlet and a parking spot for plug-in cars. They have a high voltage charger but it is situated in front of handicapped parking so I can't use it.

great hotel I should have stayed all three nights but I already had reservations at Hilton. For the price the Best Western was much better value for money the beds were a bit uncomfortable and internet slow but all together great clean nice room

If you are staying in the Escondido area, make sure to book your stay here. You will be impressed by the excellent staff. Nick in particular was phenomenal. We have stayed at various 5 star hotels and have not received nearly the same attention and help that was given to us here. This just made our Valentine's Day celebration so much more romantic. Thank you, Nick and Best Western Escondido.

This was our first stay at this Best Western Hotel and it won't be our last! Our flight into Long Beach was delayed so we called when we were on the ground to let them know we would be a late arrival - Matt's voice was friendly yet professional as he assured us that it was not a problem. He asked if we had a preference for which floor we would like to be on and we said "no, just someplace quiet". He selected a 4th floor room for us which as perfect! The room was very nicely laid out and had everything we wanted or needed. The king bed was super comfortable and the sofa and chairs were nice too. It was so quiet in our room we were actually surprised in the morning to discover that we actually had neighbors, we never heard them!! Breakfast in the morning was fine - not exciting, but certainly adequate for getting the day started and that's really all we were looking for (a selection of bagels, toast, cereal, waffles, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, juice and coffee). We have family we visit annually in the area so we will surely be back again!

Beautiful property, beautiful rooms, great staff and great breakfast. Very quiet location near freeway exit. Everything was perfect from check-in, to the room, to the hot tub, to breakfast the next morning. Loved it!

Check in was easy and quick! Had issues with checkin to do with the wifi but these were efficiently resolved, to our satisfaction. Reception staff are very helpful. Breakfast was a bit disappointing, not in line with with other Best Westerns we have stayed at! Jacuzzi was nice and relaxing! Easy to get to San Diego, would definitely recommend.

Would recommend this hotel, the beds are comfy and pillows too.. Roomy rooms and pool is refreshing... Next time I go to visit my kids I would definitely stay here.. Close to them and I am very picky on clean places and comfort and this is the place for us

Check in and out were fine, room clean but with slight oder as well as stronger in hallway in the rear of complex. All in all things were fine except a very important component, the mattress folks!!!! That's why we stay at motels!

Very well maintained facility. Rooms were clean and well supplied. Hot tub was really welcome, but due the weather, it was cold upon exiting. Way too cold to use the pool. Breakfast was adequate, however it lacked meat and only hard boiled eggs. There was a large number of young boys on the last day, perhaps a soccer team. They were rather loud, but I would rather see youthful exuberance any day over gangs. All in all, a good stay. We have stayed here before, and will again.

Stayed here 3 nights. Price was lower than other hotels in the area. Staff very courteous and helpful. There's a fridge and microwave in each room. Room faced a park, not the freeway and was very quiet. The windows opened which I liked. Free wifi, pretty fast. Free breakfast - not the most healthy, but ok. Good coffee. Only complaint would be that bed sagged in the middle. Had we asked, they probably would have given us another room, but it wasn't so bad I wanted to change. I'd definitely stay here again.

We have been here before and will keep coming back. Nice to see some renovations going on, nice new rugs. The front desk was as professional as always, clean and ready to serve. The only issue is that if you would like to have a great time and drink, nothing is within walking distance.

The motel is very conveniently located just off of the freeway and looks very nice from the street. The motel inside is very nice with a very nice lobby area. The check in was very quick and pleasant, the service was exceptional answering our questions and gave us a handout of many places to eat and things to see with very good directions to each. Our room was large and very nice, very clean and everything worked including all lights. I can not believe how many places we stay that at least one light will not work properly, nicely done Best Western. Our room was conveniently close to where we could park our vehicle, a great bonus. The shower had great water pressure and we had plenty of towels in the room. The halls and common areas were well maintained and very clean. The whole facility is very comfortable. My only negative on our stay was the breakfast. I am used to Best Western having a full hot breakfast, this one serves a continental style breakfast with the only hot item being a waffle with everyone lining up for a turn at one of the two waffle makers. Everything is high carb stuff, with cereals, muffins, bagels and toast to choose from. I will be checking closer next time to make sure I stay at motels that offer a full hot breakfast as I need more protean than carbs and I figure the cost of a full breakfast offsets the higher cost of the stay over going out to a diner to eat.

The property is very nice, clean and the staff was very polite and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, the pool was very nice and it was a very enjoyable experience. Cindy the manager went out of her way to assist us with great restaurant information and upcoming events in the area. We travel very frequently and this property is one of our favotites. I would have to give this property a 10 for the cleanliness, polite and friendly staff and the location was very convenient to many attractions.

stopped at Escondido, Ca. on our way back from Mexico. Thought we would watch some football and chill. The tv picture was terrible. When we called the desk, they apologized but could do nothng...Nice people....too bad...

Hotel was great -- quiet, clean and nice staff. However, the cell reception in my room was non-existent and even in the lobby I had to step outside to complete my call. I mentioned it to desk clerk upon checking out, thinking it was my room. She said it is a common problem in the hotel.

Looking to stay at an extremely helpful, friendly, comfortable, cleanness place, This is it! The room was comfortable in all ways. The use if internet was awesome, loved the ease of hook up. The staff was very friendly, helpful, neat appearance, right there for you when you needed something, had a question, helped find the phone number of a place we wanted to go to. The breakfast was terrific, the room comfortable and welcoming. Very clean and a lot to chose from for breakfast. The rooms were the cleanest we have ever stayed in (the hotel was). The appearance of the room when walking in was ah so relaxing, you just knew you would have a great stay and sleep. The location very close to the I-15 was extremely helpful for a traveler.

I was in town with my dad and we were visiting family that lives in the area when we stayed at this Best Western. This was a really nice place to stay for that purpose, the front desk was friendly and efficient, Check-in was a breeze. The rooms were very clean and had all the amenities one would need for a few nights. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean and functional. Location is good if you are in the area for a specific purpose, gas station/convenience store close by and bonus points for a Starbucks being in walking distance for dad! No real noticeably street noise. There is a small pool area that would be good for relaxing for a day. I was able to stick my feet in the hot tub after a long day of travel, nobody was around so I had the place to myself. The continental breakfast is always a welcome site, they have the standard yogurt, a variety of breads for toasting, waffle maker, hard boiled eggs and a selection of small pastries, really anything you need to kick off your day! Definitely worth the stay!

The hotel is very pretty on the outside and very nice on the inside. Everything gives the impression of an upscale establishment. An example is the furniture in the breakfast area which is glass topped wood tables with very nice padded wood chairs. The room was spacious, very clean, with plenty of soft towels. Our contacts with the help were all pleasant. They were friendly, but professional. I have stayed at any number of hotels that cost a lot more and were not nearly up to the standards of this hotel.

Myself, daughter and grandchildren stayed 3 nights. We were extremely satisfied with our experience. We are going to return in Nov or Dec 2015 to go to the Safari Park we are not able to go because the wether was to HOT so we will return in a month or so when it cools down. We ended up going to Sea World instead,

It was so hot in Escondido but the property was ok a little deteriorated and we had to stay inside with the air conditioning on. There are lots of illegal immigrants in the area asking for work and help with money.

I was not expecting much out of this hotel. The lobby was beautiful, staff was extremely friendly and breakfast in the morning was great. Working at Best Westerns, I know the standards that BWs are supposed to have. This one exceeds Best Western. In fact with a few extra choices at breakfast, and a few minor changes, it could be a Best Western Plus. This review is over a year later than when I stayed; I always stay at Best Westerns, and out of all my hotels to this day, yours is still the best one.

This hotel is adjacent to #15 On and Off ramps, Complimentary and nice continental breakfast. We stay here several times a year since we have family in the area. However, they don't have a workout/gym room but a very nice pool and patio area.

If I could rate this a 0 I would!!!!!!!!!!! Lady at reception was rude to us! Didn't receive a warm welcoming to the hotel from anyone. Receptionist Didn't keep her professional status as a "front desk manager" wouldn't recommend it to anybody! .

I don't usually like the Best Western chain but this one is a little nicer than the usual. Seems like it might have been another hotel previously. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was very nice, clean and spacious. Would stay again.

Our first time to Escondido, the hotel was very nice,clean, and convenient to all the restaurants and markets. I can't complain about the room. The room is very spacious and super clean. The pool is small and should be cleaned a little. There were leaves and kind of dirty but it was kind of windy that day so it oughta for it. Overall, it was nice, quiet and very clean. I would recommend it.

No doubt Best Western is top in this range of Hotels. It makes the sentence "Cleanliness is near to Godliness" in very apt way. This is my 4th stay with Best western and i like this hotel chain very much
