Best Western Plus Hotel Dixon Davis, Dixon

The lady at the check in desk was very rude. We had just arrived from a troubling trip from Ohio. While I was checking in, we did not know the property was non-smoking so my wife lit a cigarette out side the front door. The lady behind the desk yelled out the window to my wife "There's NO SMOKING HERE" very rudely. My wife put the cigarette out, but was very angry about the way she was treated. The desk lady could have let us know any number of ways other than she did. We will never be back.

My room was completely filthy. Poop, vomit or blood on the sheets. Hair in the bed. A filthy bathtub and blood on the carpet. The breakfast was terrible. Biscuits were hard as a rock and the bagels were just as hard. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I was getting tired and saw a BW Plus and knew I would get a good night's sleep. Very quick check-in, clean rooms, quiet and always a great full breakfast with choices. The coffee was extra good there. I was passing through but glad I saw it since sometimes you have a bad choice when just pulling off to get some sleep while travelling. That's why I stay at BW Plus worth it.

After a long days work my expectations were to have a clean room to stay in and it was far from that. Blood on the floor, vomit or poop on the sheets, hair throughout the bedding and a dirty bathtub. I would not recommend this place AT ALL.

Overall, my stay was a drag. The facility was nice and clean. My room was nice and clean. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. Although the hotel was nice, I couldn't say my stay was peaceful. There were a group of belligerents staying in a few rooms in close proximity to my room. One night, in the late hours, someone was outside my room talking loud on their cell phone keeping myself and I presume other guests up late with his loud conversation. The next morning, I walked out to my rental car to find the front license plate vandalized (folded outward) and cigarette butts on and in front of the front end of the rental complete with the strong scent of weed. On top of that, the power went out in the area and I had to get ready in the dark for my work day. I did report this to hotel staff that same morning and was advised to call reception in the future if it happens where a guest is disturbing the peace of others. I don't feel that should be on me or any guest. Isn't there staff that checks the premises throughout the day (including nights)? Later that day, I arrived at the hotel and was confronted by a group of about 8 young men who were loitering outside a couple rooms down, smoking weed and listening to loud music. One of the guys asked "What are you looking at?". Feeling intimidated, I ignored the individual and continued into my room. I was not looking for confrontation. They continued to talk loud and blast music into late hours. I was surprised hotel staff was not aware of this and this was allowed to continue. My advice would be to have staff patrol the hotel every so often. This goes to show that you can stay at a nice, decent hotel but cannot control the riff raff that is also staying there. With all my trouble with other guests (even after reporting this to staff) and the power outage, I was certainly surprised I was not provided some sort of recourse such as a discount off my stay or voucher for a free night. I feel that's the least any lodger should be offered if going through this experience.

If you want an alternative to staying downtown this is a great hotel. The staff is wonderful. Rooms are clean and up to date and the property is nice and quiet. Good places to eat within 5 minutes and downtown is only 15 minutes away !! I stay here every trip to the area and will continue to stay here. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

Room was clean, everything worked, breakfast was decent, check-in was easy, absolutely no complaints! It's in an area with dining opportunities, it's easy to locate, and also close to a supermarket, so it's a very convenient location. Bed was really comfortable.

We had an overnight stay here on a long road trip. We had pre-booked but were surprised to find it actually was a motel. We had rooms facing the parking lot on the upper floor. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the noise level was low. Decent breakfast too.

Grounds very clean, room was clean as well. Nice bedding but weird small square pillows. Our room was in the building that back up to the freeway and was so LOUD. We kept the bathroom door closed with the fan on but still heard every truck, motorcycle, and load car zoom by. Now I see why there are higher prices for the other building. Paid way too much to stay here.

Our room smelled like urine so we had to request to be moved. The A/C units are old and don't function well. I've stayed in other hotels in the area for UC Davis move-in and there are better options in that price range.

The room was average size for the type of hotel. The sheets were great, really soft, beds were comfortable. We appreciated the in room mini fridge, microwave and small sink. The towels were ok, very thin.

Horrible experience in every way. Room was filthy and smelled like bug spray & something else that was trying to cover up the bug spray smell. Very disorganized and couldn't find any of my simple requests.

Our favorite place to stay when visiting our family close by. Always feel welcome here and really enjoy the comfy rooms and pleasant amenities. The grounds are well kept and garden-like. The staff is so helpful!

A pond arrival received an email for early check-in got to the front desk and was greeted by Susanna we were checked in within five minutes all paperwork done and room keys in hand went back down later for a couple questions about dinner and things to do in Dixon and Susanna was able to guide us in the right direction what a wonderful stay and a wonderful place they are very lucky to have employees like Susanna thank you so much for the great stay look forward to seeing you next time!!!

Stayed here 2 nights for a dog show. Although externally this is an older property, the hotel had been totally renovated. Many places I have stayed have been renovated piecemeal but this one has been done completely. The large room was clean and bright. There was a sofa, desk and chest besides a comfortable king size bed. Large sink area and separate toilet/bathtub area. Nice tile work. Towels thin. The microwave and refrigerator were hidden in the closet—much more attractive. The lobby has been redone. Staff were friendly if slow. Breakfast was typical.

The front desk agent was friendly ad helpful. We love the location and landscape around the hotel. Good breakfast, large enough rooms, and great places to walk your dog. There is a exercise trail nearby which is great for a nice morning/evening walk with your pet. Restaurants and grocery stores are within walking distance make it very convenient.

Clean room but on the smaller side, stairs only (no elevator), free hot breakfast was good and served something different the two mornings we went (I've stayed at places where each and every morning was the same exact thing - BORING!!!), breakfast attendant was very hard-working, attentive and helpful. TV remote only worked 25% of the time, but it didn't matter, the loud A/C made watching TV not that enjoyable anyway.

Nice location in a Cul-de-Sac. Secure, quiet for the most part being so close to the freeway some noise is to be expected but some rooms are very quiet. Just ask for one. Easy on/off freeway. Friendly staff that made most all my requests come true.

Room had food on the walls in multiple locations. Hair on the room phone. What looked like blood sprayed on the wall of bathroom. After letting staff know and showing them photos of room. They never cleaned the room in the two day stay. Completely unacceptable.

Rooms have wonderful amenities, safe facility, convenient access from freeway, wonderful breakfast, reasonable rates, easy internet access, great housekeeping. Hotel Staff is always available 24/7 to accommodate guests' needs. Convenient parking near rooms, elevator to upper floor. Great place to stay for business or personal travel!!!

This hotel and staff were great. The room was very clean, breakfast was wonderful. A great overall experience. If there is only thing I woud say negative is that we were told that if we signed up for the rewards program that they would take $40 off the room rate. That didn't happen, I still paid full price. With that said, the stay was very pleasant and the staff was wonderful.

Very nice and clean. Hotel rooms were nicer than the average for the price. I slept well which doesn't usually happen in hotels. the hot breakfast was tasty. there are shopping and restaurants in close walking distance

I usually enjoy my stay here but noticed a decline in the quality of service I expect to receive. The TV didn't work and I found a hair in the tub. The breakfast was okay nothing special. Best West not so Best . Only, good for a one nighter.

This has become our go-to place to stay, when visiting my sister in Davis. Davis seems to be more expensive and is often booked up, so this Best Western in Dixon is clean, comfortable and a great location. Easy access to the freeway, so we're in Davis in 10 mins. It is quiet, has many eating places available nearby and just very convenient. It has become our home away from home, when visiting the Davis area.

Close to everything. Restaurant's groceries store. Pool is down for repair. Very quiet and breakfast option fresh and good. Love Christmas decoration. Festive and fun. Thank you for Military discount.

This BW Plus is a combination of older exterior access rooms (which normally do not rate Plus status because there is no elevator), but the newer building is all interior access, which means there is an elevator. The older building is currently undergoing renovations, and the swimming pool and spa are scheduled to be overhauled, but probably won't be back in service until late spring or early summer. I was in a ground floor room in the older building, and it appeared to have been very recently updated with new tub surround in tile and cast iron tub. The sink outside the bathroom drained slowly, and probably needed cleaning. (If the room was not recently updated, then it is extremely well-kept!) DISH TV and large screen LG LED offered a robust number of HD channels and programming. Although this part of the property backs up against eastbound Interstate 80, the only evidence of freeway noise came through the bathroom exhaust vent. It was not really noticeable outside the bathroom. Very odd. The property is conveniently located off Interstate 80 at Pitt School Rd, the next-t0-last Dixon offramp for westbound traffic. Also conveniently located near a Denny's Restaurant, Burger King, Safeway grocery market and other shopping and dining places adjacent to Safeway, including highly rated breakfast and lunch place, Solano Baking Co. One exit west of Cattlemens Steakhouse, Walmart, and other shopping. If you need a place to stay near UC Davis, this is a great option . . . just 10 minutes away. And less than 20 minutes to Vacaville where you can shop at the Vacaville Premium Outlets and numerous other retail places, since Vacaville is a larger city and much more suburban than Davis which maintains much of its rural/college town appeal. ..

We had my daughter's Wedding in Dixen, however a lot of those attending were from our hometown of San Diego. We reserved twenty rooms for our friends and the front desk employees handled it very well. They did a great job informing us as each invitee checked in. Through the last five years we have been traveling to Dixen and Davis to see our daughter, we have enjoyed staying at Best Western Plus Dixon Hotel.

This hotel is very clean and accommodating for those traveling with pets. I found the surrounding areas great and safe to walk my dog during the morning and evening. Having a refrigerator and microwave to store and prepare my dogs special diet was very helpful. The room's amenities and cleanliness is always a requirement for me when traveling with my dog.

Right off the freeway, easy access.... restaurants and store are close. Rooms are clean and welcoming. The bed was extremely comfortable. All the workers I encountered were kind and anxious to answer my questions.

My wife and I checked into the Best Western Plus in Dixon and were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were decorated nicely, the lobby was nice, the dining area was nice, all were exceptionally clean. All the fixtures worked, the sink drain drained, no problems with the toilet and the shower was great! Most of all our room was very quiet and we had a very restful night of sleep

If you are looking for a wonderful place to stay just 15 minutes from downtown Sacramento this is the place. It is clean, quiet and the staff is great. I am in Sacramento on business a dozen times a year and this is where I prefer to stay. Good food within 5 minutes and easy access to Sacramento or Napa valley. Put this on your list if you want to get away from the big city but still be close enough to do business there.

The hotel is located in a good area. Easily access to the free way and surrounded by gas stations and restaurants. The price is affordable. The amenities are acceptable. Only problem that I saw is the sidewalk in front of the rooms, so duty. It is so simple take someone with a pressure washer and clean it up.

The staff were pleasant.. The cleanliness of the room was despicable. There was dirt on the floor, dirt stains on the closet, and clumps of dirt on the walls. I have enjoyed previous stays at different Best Western hotels, but was disappointed with this location.

We are very sorry for the experience, this is not the typical experience and hope in the future that we can show how we can shine.

Superior management and great employees make the difference!!! My stay at BW Dixon was under the worst of circumstances. I came here in the middle of April just at the end of the pandemic because my mother was gravely ill and had been put in hospice. While she was sick, we had no idea that the end was as close as it was. In the weeks I was here staying at this Best Western, I had many friends and family flying in who were also put up in various rooms during my stay. I even at one point had my dog with me and so was staying in one of their pet friendly rooms. On the day I was checking out to leave, my mother had suddenly passed away. I was in complete grief and shock when I staggered back into the lobby and asked them to extend me another room for at least another week while we dealt with the ramifications of my mother passing. The staff was so kind to me. Not only did they get me into one of the best rooms in the hotel, but they had flowers for me as well as a very sweet gift. Throughout my stay they had been completely supportive and knew what I was going through and to say they went above and beyond isn't even enough of a compliment. I am actually back at the hotel now five weeks later for another visit. I am in a different room and have family in yet another room. The Takeaway is that I have stayed or seen or been in at least six different hotel rooms throughout the entirety of this property. Every single last one of them was clean, sanitized and perfectly appointed. Just like many hotels yes there's some furniture that can be a little grubby here or there but Consistently hallways and bathrooms and kitchenettes have all been kept up and clean. The larger rooms that have hot tubs, I have stayed in two, both had clean, easily filled with hot water tubs and the Jets operated perfectly. This weekend the pool was open for the first time since the pandemic began. The kids and I literally had this sparkling blue pool that is surrounded by lush landscaping and palm trees all to ourselves.. When I asked for a pool towel the young lady behind the desk immediately got on her radio and had someone bring us pool towels ....that is the kind of service I've not recently seen anywhere and yet here at this Best Western they jump to provide excellent customer service. The location of this hotel is perfect. Close to a freeway but also across the street from a major grocery store, excellent coffee shops and tons of restaurants. And even though it is close to the road, the traffic noise is not bad even in the rooms that are directly next to the highway. If you're bringing Fido this is a great place for dogs. If you're wanting to have a resort like room with a hot tub, a kitchen and a balcony they have those too... Sometimes the simple places can be the best. I will be coming back to Dixon many times over the next several years and this will most certainly be my home away from home... I want to say a special thank you to the staff who made dealing with one of the worst moments in my life turn into one where I felt completely surrounded by kindness. I cannot say how much this interaction impressed me with this organization and this property. 5 stars!

Very friendly front desk staff. Comfortable beds; would love carpets removed and hard floors installed but that's my personal choice. I miss having housekeeping come in to make beds, etc. Hope that service can resume soon. Did not pick up boxed breakfast; hoping normal breakfast service also will resume soon.

We stayed in the “interior” building farthest from the freeway. Well worth the small price bump even though you could definitely still hear the traffic. The room was very spacious, clean, and recently redone. It conveniently had a small bar sink, microwave, and mini fridge with a small freezer compartment. The shower head was great, as was the water pressure. These days it's rare to find a hotel shower that is equipped so that you can wash & rinse your hair thoroughly. We would stay again without hesitation.

I have been staying at this Hotel for years. I prefer it to staying in Sacramento. It is 15 minutes from downtown. The property is clean and the staff are very nice and helpful. I go for nightly walks and it is peaceful and quiet. There are good places to dine nearby. I would recommend staying here anytime you are in the Sacramento area.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your comments, there are many fine dining establishments and we are beginning to see more and more open every day!

The first thing you notice is how bright the room is and how open it is. The kitchen area was nice and there was even a cork screw in the drawer. There was a cute little chair that was nice, a desk and chair under the tv hanging on the wall, as well as a couch and a coffee table. Everything in the front room was lovely (at first glance). The issues began with the cigarette burn in the curtain, the marks on the doors and all around not what I remember from stay here back in February. The fireplace was great, the bathtub is big enough for two. The balcony had a little bench where we sat and stargazed a bit. Nothing that will completely prevent me from giving this place another shot, but I'm not planning on staying there anytime soon.

I'm not sure how this place is rated so high. The carpet of the room was so dirty that we could not walk on it with bare feet because it turned the bottom of our feet black. And no, I didn't bother reporting any of this because it's pretty clear the entire hotel would have been dirty. We just put socks on. The front desk clerk on the second day of our stay as well as a maintenance staff member who brought a roll of toilet paper to our room were not wearing masks, nor did the two front desk clerks that I dealt with ask for guests coming into the lobby to comply with wearing masks. It's pretty sad that you can't even take a trip away for a weekend anymore because even staff can't be bothered to follow the very simple rule of wearing a mask.

I had a very rough day and needed a room somewhere asap. Brandy was very sweet and made my checkin as quick and smooth as possible. She informed me about all the good food places to eat nearby. The room was nice and just what I needed!

The title says it all... above and beyond expectations which is not an easy thing to do with all the Coronavirus restrictions in place. Thank you Best Western Dixon for a pleasant experience. See you very soon!

A new grocery store project in Dixon CA, brought me to the area on a fairly last minute set of circumstances. I went with my "go to" hotel chain and Best Western had a property just minutes away from my project. Check in was quick and pleasant, and the hotel is well kept and comfortable. Plenty of restaurants just walking distance away. This was during social distancing guidelines so it was comforting to be with a hotel chain I am familiar with. Unfortunately the pool was closed due to the situation, but at least they had many good channels on the television and the Wifi worked well. I would bring my wife and family here under different circumstances. Thanks BW, a little piece of mind during a trying work situation.

I had a suit that I got for great price. Room was great exceeded my thoughts on quality based on the price. Great room at a really great price!! I would totally stay here again on my next trip and book the same room. It had a fireplace and jetted tub and separate shower really nice bedroom was seperate room really nice!!!

My wife and I stayed one night at the hotel. It was clean and inviting. Definately would use again for same kind of visit. Even though we were close to the freeway the room was quiet. Bathroom was clean and serviceable. Lighting was good, a dimmer would be nice.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the past 10 years. The property is well-kept. We recommend requesting a room in one of the "interior" rooms as these rooms are not next to the freeway. An elevator has been recently added which is great for those lugging baggage to the top floor. We have only stayed in the "interior" rooms so cannot comment on those in other areas of the hotel, but the "interior" rooms are very nice and roomy. There is a small frig with a freezer compartment. The hotel is conveniently located with gas stations, grocery store, and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive.

for the last 15 years every time im in the area i stay here. last nite i made a bad choice, i will nevr do it again. the people here are so nice helpful. they know me by name, great me with a smille always go above and beonde. the rooms are clean great breakfeast fresh coffee and tea. the pool is clean spa nice and the workers will help you with the BBQ. great place. bed are soft clean nice sleep evry time.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Room was immaculate with a great bed and really soft large towels a microwave and fridge. Lots of choices at free breakfast. Pet friendly. Lots of close by shopping and only a few blocks to Interstate 80.

Quiet location, close to freeway, & next to many businesses. A little dated, but with a friendly staff, easy access , I wouldn't reccomend trying to park a large vehicle or one towing a trailer, small parking lot

Enjoyed stay here since was attending a burial in nearby National Cemetery. Quiet and restful. Home away from home for 3 nights. Staff friendly and helpful. Would come again. My daughter and husband also stayed here for two nights in another area of complex.

I always have a great stay here. The staff just take your stay to the next level. There always friendly and helpful .They always make you feel like your at home. Stayed there for one Sunday night and prior to a potential meeting and/or visit of the Mondavi Center at UC Davis on the next morning, so we checked in the night before. A quiet with pleasant and warm colors on the exterior of its 2 or 3 small separate pavilion look-alike building, it is located immediately next to Highway 80 North and its constant flow of fast speed cars...which didn't obstruct us from what ended up being a no-noise situation for us. Whereas breakfast is warm and cold, full of many separate types of food items and served in a very large, comfortable room, there are several opportunities for lunch and dinner restaurants (casual dressin) located only 5 mns away by car in a medium size mall with fast food offerings but also with menus for Italian, American or Asian food. Hotel is also about a 15 mns long drive South on HI 80 to nearby town Vacaville/CA and where there is huge mall with hundreds of discount shops and all types of food platforms. PS. The mattress in our upgraded room 320 (complimentary offer by the front desk at check-in) was of a lower type quality and may need to be changed, to help provide a more restful sleep.

Very clean rooms, pool, hot tub, fitness area and breakfast buffet! Staff was amazing! Walking distance to several restaurants and Safeway! Only downfall..it is right next to the freeway! If your light sleeper don't forget your earplugs!

This hotel has a professional and caring staff. The room was comfortable and the high speed internet worked great. The breakfast was great. There are plenty of restaurants and stores around this hotel as well. If you are in the area and need a hotel, this is where you want to stay.

During the fires in Northern California on Oct 27 we wer evacuated from our Santa Rosa home and blessed to find lodging in Dixon. The place was booked solid yet the staff were encouraging and doing everything to accommodate our requests. The breakfast was good and nothing was left to run out. They had extra thermoses of coffee in the lobby to be sure everyone wasn't so crowded in the dining area. Many were watching fire coverage together and we were treated like family. Beds were very comfortable!

My family was evacuated due to Sonoma County fire and Dixon was closest room we could find. I called to see if we might check in early and was told no, check in time was 4:00. We then ate and tried to check in around 4:30. We were told our room would be at least another 45 minutes. It had been a very stressful day and we were all exhausted. When I mentioned I had called and told 4:00, the attendee responded in a very rude way, "Well some people are sleeping in their cars." There was hair on floor of bathroom, so didn't feel it was even all that clean after our delay. We had almost no water pressure in our room. This property runs right next to freeway so it was very loud as well. With all the stress of the evacuation, this property only added to the stress. HORRIBLE!!!

Due to recent Sonoma County fires, we had to evacuate and find lodging until it was safe to return home. The nearest available hotel rooms were in Dixon, about a hundred miles from where we live. Not only were we grateful to have found lodging for a family with a dog, but they also extended our stay in case we needed the rooms a bit longer. The entire staff was incredibly kind, efficient and pleasant, as were the townfolk we met during our unexpected adventure in Dixon, CA. Best Western never lets us down...always happy and satisfied, even under the stress of natural disasters (this is the 2nd time we evacuated to one of their hotels.)

I stay at this hotel at least twice a year for dog shows and love it. Very, very dog friendly, nice sized rooms. Parking can fill up on dog show weekends but there is overflow parking so it all works.

Key system was down our only night staying. Had to be let in our room late in the night. Bit of an inconvenience because there was only a single counter person there to help. Luckily another staff member showed up to let us in.

Great Convenient location. Very clean rooms friendly staff. Not far off freeway. Surrounded by many restaurants and Starbucks.Nice swimming pool area with hot tub. Also had a nice four hot breakfast able to walk to many restaurants local grocery store nearby hotel room was nice size

This hotel is close enough to Davis to make it an option. It is right across the street from a grocery store and their is a gas station in front as well. It is also one exit away from Walmart. We go to Davis a few times a year and we picked this hotel because it is off of the 80 and about 10 minutes from downtown Davis. This hotel is directly off of the 80 and there is a lot of freeway noise. Our last room was very loud at night. It is a clean hotel, breakfast included, and works if you don't want to pay double for the same type of hotel in Davis. The staff provide service, but don't really go out of their way. The two times we have stayed there (a total of 4 days) it was adequate.

Having stayed in other Dixon properties, we were pleasantly surprised to find the BW tucked off a main drive and pleasantly landscaped. Check-in was pleasant and professional. When we asked about the historic district we received easy to follow directions and restaurant suggestions. We chose Dawson's and enjoyed a delicious, reasonably priced meal. Our king-bed room was clean, quiet, and well equipped with everything we could need. We typically enjoy BW+ properties, but this one deserves mention for quality and its relative affordability compared to comparable places in or near Davis.

The staff at this location go above and beyond. The room was very comfortable and even with the construction of adding an elevator the noise went unnoticed. Their pool area was really relaxing and clean. Was a very enjoyable stay will definitely be back!

This property is very expensive for its location. The free breakfast was a joke. They ran out of food halfway through the supposed breakfast hours every morning we were there, and they did not make more food. We wound up having to find breakfast elsewhere, and were not compensated for it.

We were pleasantly surprised by this Best Western, seeing how many poor reviews there were. True there is no elevator and the loveseat in our room looked a bit warn, as did the carpet close to the door. But the bed was good quality and the linens were fresh, good pillows, excellent shower, and Direct TV made a huge choice of movies available for one bored traveler. The only drawback was the breakfast, which was about the worst we've had at this chain. It's immediately adjacent to the freeway, but soundproofing was excellent. There's a good sized swimming pool and outdoor spa pool. Good choice for an overnight stop.

We generally stay here on our way to Napa Valley. Clean rooms , nice beds. A bit dark but okay. Nice pool and hot tub for relaxing. Recommended if you need to stay in Dixon. Okay Best Western Breakfast. Nice property for families or persons traveling.

First off, the receptionists were awesome. This was the 3rd hotel of a trip in the NorCal area and the best by far. Not only were the people at the reception desk professional, but the room was also nice and comfortable with updated furnishings including the A/C unit. The difference in quality in this hotel compared to the previous two was palpable, and not only that, it was actually a better deal. The only downside was the rowdiness of one of the other guests. The location is right off the freeway and there are a lot of dining options nearby. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm in the area.

I want to say this first: The rooms were fine and they appeared to be recently renovated. BUT this is motel that calls itself a hotel. That might not be the end of the world but it is dishonest. There are maybe 24 rooms in the proper hotel building with the rest of the rooms (the majority of the rooms) located in a motel layout. You could look up the difference between a hotel and motel and pretty much every article will describe a motel to be exactly what this place is. If you closed your eyes and I asked you to picture a motel you would end up picturing this place. Again, maybe not the end of the world but motel rooms can be noisier and this was. In fact, it was right by the pool. Some people don't feel as safe in a motel due to the parking lot to room access and I understand this. I personally don't even mind motels but I booked a hotel because I had some pricey work equipment with me so in this case, I wanted the perceived extra security. If you are traveling light and don't mind a motel then stay here. It's clean. But don't book this without knowing what you are booking.

I am frequently in Davis, CA for a night or two. I decided to try this Best Western Plus because it was within 10 minutes of Davis and it was a lot cheaper than the Davis options. I like Best Westerns in general for short stays. This hotel is a little run down. It is under construction, so hopefully they are updating more. The lobby is not very inviting and the furnishings are just kind of weird. The room I had was a double and it was okay, but there were stains on the chair and the carpet looks dirty. It also needed some touch up paint around the doors. Overall this was a very middle of the road. Not terrible, but not a hotel I will choose again unless the other options are just too expensive or booked.

Property is fairly updated and clean with decent amenities. Complimentary breakfast had a good selection. Staff was very accommodating. We were there as a big group for a soccer tournament and they were very patient with us when we all gathered at the lobby or pool to hang out.

Our whole San Mateo AYSO soccer team says there every year. They are very accommodating and the breakfast gets us ready for our matches at the AYSO Davis World Cup. The hot tub wasn't in great shape this year but the pool was perfect for the kids to cool off while adults BBQ and relax after a long day of soccer.

Used early check in from my BWPlus app. Staff never checked their early reservations until I showed up. Took an hour to get into my room. They then gave our room to another guest who walked in on us as we were changing for wedding. They then completely disabled our room lock and the clerk on duty at 1:00 am when we returned didn't know what to do to get us into our room. Property under construction so parking is very limited. Room was not clean (hair stuck to bathroom door). Lots of water damage in bathroom. On checkout I asked for a Manger to contact me to discuss our stay and 4 days later, with a follow up email, I've heard from no one. Customer service must be very low on their priority list. This is the worst BW I've ever stayed at. I'm rethinking which brand Hotel I should use in the future.

We just stayed two nights at the BW in Dixon in a king suite with a balcony, room 411. No fireplace, but the weather was warm and hopes were high that without one the living room might have more usable space; it didn't. When we got to the room it was a stifling 82 degrees made worse by an overpowering smell of room deodorizer. My husband turned on the A/C (which staff really should see to before guests arrive) and opened the sliding door stepping on to the balcony. He was closing the screen behind him when it popped off its track hitting his face, giving him a nosebleed. All was not lost and while the room had its cons: the real tub was nothing like the tub shown in the room description photo, the deodorizer the hotel uses is noxious, outlets were sparse and not conveniently located and the TV in the living area is mounted in a corner making it hard to view as it doesn't swivel out, it also had it's pros: comfortable bed, good working and not too noisy A/C, windows that can be opened more than two inches, a large bathroom that can be accessed from both the bedroom and living room without opening the bedroom door and most importantly – the room is super quiet unless you have a window open. Lastly, the building our room was in has no elevator to the second floor. During our last stay here in February it looked like they were working on putting one in, so we were surprised to see the same scaffolding and construction still going on this stay. Check-in and out were a breeze and the lobby staff were all very nice. Would and probably will stay here again.

I have been staying at this location over 25 years. This Best Western is by far the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I have never been disappointed. In my opinion this is one of the nicest Best Westerns anywhere. I would also recommend Mary's Restaurant the food is very good for this small town.

I loved everything about this Best Western! I had my staff, students and I stay here for a part of our college tour and it was such a great experience. It had several eateries within walking distance, the general manager Eve was an absolute gem, and the breakfast in the morning was great. My students really enjoyed their stay as well.

I've stayed many times at this location in the past. I just stayed there twice in the past two weeks to bring my sick dog to UC Davis. Everything from the check in to the housekeeping went wrong and I just holed up in the room while she was in the hospital. I just couldn't face any more screw ups from the front desk weirdo with his smart phone glued to his hands to the no wake up call to having to renew my key card every day. It really is a nice facility with steam and sauna but it's not worth the hassle.

The rooms are nice with couch and a small kitchen (microwave, coffee machine and sink). There are two buildings, one with outside corridors like a motel, the other with inside corridor like a hotel, which I prefer (the window is to the outside and not to the corridor where people pass). No elevators. Unfortunately the pool was not very clean, but the outside Jacuzzi was a treat! Also very good steam room and Sauna! The staff very friendly and helpful, although one of the computers at the lobby had a problem with the mouse that I mentioned to the desk, next days it wasn't fixed yet, and the person at the desk did not know the password for the second computer. Breakfast as can be expected in this kind of hotel : basic but free.

Stayed in nice room on 1st floor of hotel. Large room included comfortable bed, 2 seater lounger, TV, free wifi and modern bathroom. Hotel also had swimming and spa pools. The hotel is situated close to the I80 Pitt School Rd off and on ramp, so is in a great location between San Fran and Sacremento. Only downsides were noise from motorway, which runs right beside hotel and lack of elevator (although it looks like this is being built). Breakfast was included, although the food options were limited. Coffee was hot and strong though. The hotel staff were professional, friendly and helpful.

We booked at a Best Western Plus as we had stayed in other Plus hotels previously and reading all the great reviews. We had a completely different experience and we aren't ones to submit negative reviews. First, no elevators, the room was dark/no light even with curtains open located on the side, the sofa was so disgusting we wouldn't sit on it, the air/heating unit was so loud that there was no way we could use it and it smelled like dust. Now....I went to the front desk because I forgot to give my frequent guest number. The woman who I believe was the manager said since I didn't book with Best Western it is their policy that they could not honor or input my number. First, I thought I had booked with Best Western but evidently on the internet I was sent to a third party site. I learned a lesson as this has never happened before. Nonetheless, I paid the same amount (not my fault they accept third party reservations) and we stayed at a Best Western. I went down the second day and explained this and another person was going to enter my number. Well, this same lady heard and I heard her whisper in the back. She came out and said it's not their policy. Really?? We never saw a smile or welcoming face on this person and we were always quite nice. Bottom line, Best Western lost a customer. We stayed at another chain on our way home which was 1000 times better.

Wow, I was not expecting to be so comfortable at a Best Western and at a great price. 116.00. I stayed March 10-13th. The bed and pillows were amazingly comfy, so clean and updated. Really nice staff and breakfast was expansive and tasty. Nicest place in Dixon for sure!

The lobby was gorgeous, staff was welcoming and the room was absolutely perfect. The king suite is well worth it, if you have the funds, definitely opt for it. I've honestly never been happier at a hotel.

We always stay at this property whenever we are in Dixon. The property is always clean and the staff is very helpful and nice. It is the best hotel in the area. They were doing some remodeling while we were there but they waited to do any of the construction until after a later hour in the morning. Great overall stay!!

We love going back to this BW in Dixon. The place is 10 mins away from UCDavis and the drive is always clear. The place is very clean and employees you meet are all friendly and professional. The location is near a grocery and many food places and gas stations but don't need to go there coz their breakfast is better than all the BWs we've been to because they serve bacon, sausage, omelette, waffles, in other words, hot food and the area is always clean and organized. This maybe our 5th time to stay here. We will always consider this when visiting Davis.

A very good hotel. Well suited for travel or leisure. I have stayed here numerous times over the last four years and enjoy the staff, owners and grounds. The pool area is very pleasant for relaxation. The gym has a good choice of equipment. The new elevator currently being installed will be great.

The Best Western went WAAAAYYY beyond any of our expectations. We booked three rooms over Christmas and everything was wonderful. Super comfortable beds, immaculate rooms, friendly and helpful service, and all the amenities. We are already planning to book rooms here for next year.

Very large and clean room! Breakfast is really good and lots of choices. Only two complaints: People above us sounded like elephants stomping around. Soap Dispenser on wall in bathroom too high if you wish to take a bath.

I have stayed at this facility numerous times over that years and have been very happy with the facility. This year was a shock. I made my reservations in May (called the motel directly, not online) so I could be assured a ground floor room and two rooms close together. When I arrived they denied that I had ever made the request for a ground floor room and the attitude of the desk staff was awful. I had several heavy items that needed to go in the room. I'm over 70 so carrying heavy items upstairs is not an option. The new manager (been there 3 days did carry the items up for us). I was sharing the room with a friend who has a bad knee so the stairs were an issue, with a 3 day stay. The chair in the room had not been cleaned in years and the carpets were dirty. The staff situation did improve after the first day so that was a plus.

We reserved a total of 4 rooms for the Dixon dog show in late October. Some of our party have been staying at this hotel for many years for this dog show. Because we travel with large dogs and most of us are senior citizens with bad knees, we call the hotel directly to make reservations to ensure that ground floor rooms are available. This is especially important at this hotel because it has no elevator. One of us made reservations in July and I made reservations in late August or early September. Both of us were assured by front desk staff on the phone that we could get a ground floor room. When we checked in, no ground floor rooms were available and the front desk's attitude was cavalier. The housekeeping staff was terrific and the maintenance staff were good despite the property's condition (the carpets and furniture were stained and spotted, the bottom of the bathtub was grungy from dirt ground into the nonslip surface and we had to have a leaking shower head replaced and the access door on the AC unit fixed). Our room key cards both stopped working about 1/2 hour before checkout time. This was a good place to stay in Dixon in past and could be again with some management improvements.

The room was clean and comfortable. I was there for a business meeting .The iron stopped working but the staff had a new one to our room within 10 minutes. Everything I have come to expect from a Best Western. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was full and there was plenty of breakfast for everyone.

Staff is efficient, professional and well dressed. Entire property well maintained, and the facilities, including but not limited too: the pool spa area, laundry areas, sauna/steam room. The breakfast/dining experience is better than most restaurants, service and cleanliness superb!

Beautiful, tropical property. Room was about average, although it did have a refrigerator. Grounds were extremely well-manicured. Breakfast was typical Best Western, but the breakfast room was clean and cheery. All of the employees were unusually pleasant and caring. Easy on and off from the interstate.

We got to the hotel about 11:30 and there was no parking spots left. We had to just park on the curb near the main lobby(along with four other cars). The hotel room was dirty! Stains on the sheets, bed cover and curtains. There was trash on the floors by the beds. Sheets were itchy and uncomfortable. We left feeling very dirty. When my husband told the front desk lady she just said sorry and there was nothing she could do because we pre paid. But the next time we stay with them to let her know and she'd give us a discount... we will definitely never stay in that hotel again.

I've stayed at this Best Western numerous times. Staff are always more than willing to help. Rooms are a good size. Breakfast is really good with a variety of items. I teach for UC Davis and prefer to stay at this BW. Just a couple of minutes from campus. Just feels roomier.

Overall this hotel is nice. Room was clean and comfortable but a bit outdated. The shower in the bathroom was quite small and I am a small person, so not sure how the shower would work for a bigger man or woman. The air-conditioning worked very well although a bit noisy. Lots of free parking, a decent breakfast but not exceptional, and the hotel staff was nice and efficient. I was in the area for a dog show and the location of this hotel was just what I needed. The hotel is dog friendly although I did not have my dog staying with me this time. I would stay at this hotel again if I am in the area. Another nice thing is that there was a grocery store and some fast food restaurants across the street.

I spent 10-12 days in June here at the Dixon Davis Plus. Very accommodating staffing.. Several times I had to adjust my schedule and they took very good care of me. I stayed in the building separate from the main office. Breakfast was good and very consistent. Since I was around the hotel a lot during the days, all their support staff were well trained and assisted me when asked to do so. If I am ever in this area again I would not hesitate to book another reservation. Where I stayed it was quiet, maybe other part noisy, but my room was quiet, just as the Manger said it would be.

Arrived and checked in late and tired. But got into room and couch cushions were all astrew like there had been a pillow fight, towels in the bathroom were hung crooked and messy like someone had wiped their hands a clean ones not brought in. Went to have a “complementary” bottle of water and when I opened the refrigerator there was none. The next morning went to lay by the pool and the area and the pool were dirty, water cloudy and dirt on the bottom of the pool and staff when asked said that pool service was coming sometime that day (and we watched and never saw them come). Over all disappointed in the stay, especially for a BW Plus.

This is right off the freeway (but very quiet I couldn't hear any traffic). Several good places to eat nearby. Room was very spacious and comfortable. I tried the breakfast but it wasn't for anyone watching their weight! So went out front to Denny's and enjoyed their egg white scramble. Coffee I snagged was great though. Front desk was very nice and pointed me to a nice Italian place for dinner.

The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. But this hotel is more like a Motel 8 than a Best Western Plus. The location is very convenient but the doors creak so loud that anyone going in or out of their room in the middle of the night will wake you up.

Basic but completely adequate rooms, comfortable beds and all toiletries and coffee pods provided. The buffet breakfast was brilliant value for money, although it felt strange eating on paper plates and plastic knives and forks! But if that keeps the cost down then that's fine by us.

This is a wonderful hotel with fantastic staff and great breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised at the value of this hotel, appearance amenities resulting in an excellent stay. Although the location is near the Interstate 50, the hotel is extremely quiet. Cannot believe at the value. We enjoyed our stay and too bad that we only stayed one night. Thank you staff. Definitely will choose your hotel when travelling through the area.

The room we were assigned appeared to be completely refreshed with a new sofa and fresh paint, etc. Everything was very comfortable. The outside grounds are extremely well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and very nicely presented.

We had a regular 2 beds room after the 2nd day Mayra upgraded us to a suite! we stood here a week for spring break we enjoyed everything in the hotel excellent customer service from Mayra. OMG! Alice is the host of breakfast she is doing an outstanding job sauge bacon waffles eggs omelets you name it she has it. It's clean and employees are always so welcoming we would stay here again. My colleagues and I recently stayed at the Best Western in Dixon CA. As in years past, we were most happy with our experience and highly recommend this hotel. Whether you're in the Dixon/Davis area for personal or business travel or simply need a great place to stay while traveling I-80 between Sacramento and the S.F. Bay Area, this hotel is conveniently located and a great choice. Roberto, General Manager and his staff do an excellent job. Rooms are clean, well appointed and conveniently located. The complimentary breakfast offers many great choices and has a nice seating area. There is also a pool and pleasant outdoor seating area. The grounds are well attended and pleasant with lots of flowers, trees and plants. I always feel save and welcomed at this facility. Rates are very fair. Carole B., a happy business traveler.

A nice hotel with a caring and helpful staff. The main problem with this place is the lack of cell service provided by AT&T. You have to walk out of your room and half way into the parking lot to get any signal. This is no fault of the hotel but more of the area and crappy AT&T towers.

Great hotel stayed in this hotel for 3 months while commuting back and forth to San Francisco for work great price night e hotel awesome staff the dryer sucks. But at least there's laundry, I gave it a 4 because they want you to stay in the running area for breakfast but I like eating in room it's also right next to Starbucks so it was perfect

I book the king bed on the first floor when never I'm in town. As a truck driver there's not many places you can park and get some good rest. I like staying at Dixon hotel. Hospitality is best. I will continue to book rooms here.

Had to spend the night in Dixon and picked the Best Western. Was disappointed with the very old couch, and disappointing continental breakfast...they even had a tip jar out...tacky in my book. I guess this is a lesson learned that on hotel chain doesn't always measure up to the other.

I reserved the king room and I enjoyed my stay here very much. The room was spacious, clean, and the decor was pleasing. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and courteous. My only two issues we're that the coffee maker was a single-serve brewer and that the lighting in time in the bathroom was a bit dim. Regardless,the next time I'm in the area this is where I'll make reservations.

Went here for the night while traveling to my moms. I stayed here for two reasons: it had a jacuzzi and they allowed small pets. I would have given more stars but there were a few things lacking. I stayed in room 119 and it is directly next to an ice machine in a terminating hall way. The sound was horrendous all night and starting about 5am people leaving start to get ice. The maids supply room is here and that noise/conversations start about 7am. The other issue was the building next door had a balcony looking onto the parking lot across from our room and there was a dog left on this that barked at absolutely everything that walked by. It kept me up all night with the ice machine. I don't know why we were placed in this room but if you do check in here avoid rooms 119-125 and the other floors of rooms over these. Worst nights sleep I have had since I went to Cancun. The jacuzzi jets were not fully operational and the ones that did work were weak. On the positive side: There was one nice spot and that was the jacuzzi tub in the room. My partner liked this very much more so than the outside public jacuzzi. The sheets were clean and smelled of bleach. The room had a couch, fridge and clean, well appointed restroom. They had a nice breakfast of scrambled eggs, waffles, and bacon along with the standard continental breakfast. There was also coffee in the room.

We were travelling from San Francisco - Yosemite and wanted somewhere to stay on the outskirts of San Francisco so that we could start the following day away from all the horrible city traffic! This hotel was reasonably priced and beautiful! It looks like it has had a recent renovation as the rooms, lobby and breakfast room were so lovely! I don't usually get photos of the communal areas however I felt this hotel deserves to be seen. Breakfast was delicious! Make your own waffles, cereal, the hot plate usuals, tea, coffee, juice etc. Anything you could need. The staff couldn't be more helpful and the hotel was very clean overall! We really enjoyed our stay and considering how close it is to the busy road you could only hear traffic through the air vent when you were in the bathroom! Thank you Best Western for another great stay!

I stay here whenever I'm in the area.The staff are friendly & courteous. Rooms are always clean & comfortable. The hot breakfast is a plus. Good selection of economical restaurant's within walking distance. For a freeway located hotel it is quite quiet. An elevator would be nice but you can't rebuild it & over half the rooms are ground floor. LOL. All in all I rate this motel very highly.

I've stayed at this Best Western in Sept & Nov 2017, and again Jan 2018. I like being out of town (but still close to Vacaville). I always request the same room - I like being on the ground floor with direct access to my vehicle in the parking lot. The room is always VERY clean and smells good. The WiFi is excellent, giving me the same speeds as when I'm at home. Breakfast is always good - very fresh items with a good amount of choices. There is some freeway noise, but I drown this out using the in-room AC unit. The bed is VERY comfortable. The staff's attitudes have greatly improved in these last few months - there seems to have been some staffing changes which are all for the better. Overall, most certainly a location I'd return to again - as I have 3 times already!

Enjoyed staying at this hotel. An always stop on our way to Napa Valley. Rooms are nice, clean and semi quiet! Staff is very professional. Breakfast always good. Very good overnight stop! Easy on/off freeway access. Near many local places to eat.

We stayed for one night while in Dixon for a military funeral. Room and amenities, including full hot breakfast were great. Although our room was closest to the freeway (which runs right behind the hotel) there was not an much noise, except for occasional truck passage. Convenient to the freeway and the national cemetery and with a Denny's right next door.

Spent two nights here while visiting family for the Holidays. Loved the Hot Breakfast choices. Large lovely room. Internet worked great. Comfy clean bed. Used Fridge and Microwave. Large Tub/ Shower. Grounds were decorated for the Christmas Holidays. Cheerful when checking in. Near Starbucks, Dennys and Safeway. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting this area.

Check in is 3 PM. I arrived at 1 PM and asked if I could check in. Desk clerk said I could have early check in for $30.00 charge. I find it hard to believe that at 1 PM there isn't a clean room. As a guest I would expect to be allowed to check in. When I checked in I was required to initial policies like pets and breakfast hours. I felt more like a potential problem than a guest. After being made to initial breakfast hours (served until 10 AM) we went down to breakfast at 9:30 AM and they had cleared up and closed down. One of the reasons we chose BW was breakfast included. Paid for breakfast and didn't get it. Had to go find a restaurant and wait to be seated (Sunday morning!)

The outward of this hotel is very nice and the rooms are equally well kept. I stayed in an interior room and found it to be clean, cozy, and spacious. The bed was firm but VERY comfortable and I slept better than I do at home. The breakfast was good enough. Eggs, bacon, yogurt, fruit, and oatmeal. Being vegan I appreciated the oatmeal and fruit. The fitness room was basic with a treadmill, elliptical, stationary bike, and a weight machine but well kept and well functioning. The pool and hot tub looked nice although the hot tub wasn't working the one night I went out to use it. It's about a 15 minute drive into Davis where I was working. If you are wanting to spend a lot of time in Davis then closer might be better. I did enjoy that it was also about a 15-20 minute drive the opposite direction to the outlet mall in Vacaville. I would definitely stay here again if working in the area.

We like this hotel and have stayed there two or three times. It is well-located, quiet even though near a freeway. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Room décor is somewhat drab. The Jacuzzi/spa is nice even on a cold evening. Breakfast is standard hotel fare. Overall it's an excellent value.

This hotel is very clean and pleasant, the hotel's grounds are very well maintained and attractive.The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfast meals I have come across. They have recently updated the breakfast room and it is very functional, and attractive. The only concern has been parking, since many of the people staying there have very large trucks which take up several parking spaces.

I've stayed here four of five times over the last 12 or so years whenever I've had a reason to visit the area. I've been a repeat customer because though the selection isn't great in town, at least during past stays the room was clean and staff though not overly friendly was proficient. Since my last stay a few years ago the hotel seems to be in need of a refresh or deep cleaning. The room I stayed in wasn't in great shape. Carpet was dirty, scuff marks in the walls, lighting fixtures were loose, the upholstered chair was very dirty with visible stains, shower had hair from the prior occupants stuck to the side of the showers wall and the bedding cover had what only could be described as a blood stain on it to greet us on arrival. We just decided to fling the cover off and deal with what the room presented as we weren't planning to spend much time in the room. We should have complained in retrospect and tried for a different room. The room we were assigned was near an area were the hotel had placed a receptacle for people to extinguish their cigarettes (also the bin was overflowing with trash). As such people throughout the night predictably smoked at that spot which on occasion was sucked into our room for us to smell. Past stays were pretty much incident free, I hope if we decide to stay here again we will have a more enjoyable stay.

When we arrived, we found that our room smelled like marijuana. Upon departure, the whole upper floor of the building smelled of marijuana. (Someone in another room had been smoking in their room with the door propped open) Breakfast service became quickly overwhelmed and ran out of hot good options very quickly. Bed mattresses are due for replacement.

I just wanted to take the time to thank everyone at the BW hotel in Dixon for taking such good care of us. We ended up staying 9 nights due to fires in Santa Rosa. The staff at the front desk made a continuous effort to insure we were taken care of throughout our stay. They were incredibly flexible as we continued to add nights on to our stay each day. Not knowing when we would go home. I want to personally recognize Roberto and Richard for their fabulous hospitality. The rooms are clean and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Dixon Ca. Thanks again!

House keeping dropped their cart full of soaps and shampoo over second floor rail on my truck causing a dent and several marks in the paint. I contacted hotel staff and no action or remedy was taken to repair the truck or discuss the damage.

Though we understand your perception when you came out of your room and saw one of our housekeepers picking up soaps and shampoos near your truck, it would have been impossible for her to pick up and maneuver a cart which weighs the better part of 80 pounds with a vacuum cleaner, towels for 8 rooms, soaps, shampoos and cleaning supplies over a 4-foot rail for it to land on your truck. If a cart was parked at the side of your truck then the damage would have been on the side of the quarter panel and not the top. After reviewing the photo of the damage, it looks like the damage was done on the "top" right front quarter panel which showed just minor scratches - no dents. If a 100 pound housekeeping card full of supplies landed on any car, I am pretty sure there would be an exceptionally large dent not only to the quarter panel but to the hood of the vehicle. Our carts stand 4 1/2 feet high and the same in width. We are very sympathetic at the damage on your car but we just can't get there with the explanation given to us. We feel the blame for this has very much been misplaced. If one of our staff damages any guest items we will own this mistake and pay restitution. Respectfully,

Stayed a number of times here and have never had an unpleasant experience. Located near a number of "eateries" and close to the freeway for a quick exit. Rooms are spacious, clean, and operational. Staff is always pleasant and engaging. Breakfast is great too! Swimming pool and fitness room to boot.

We checked in easily. The room was quiet, roomy, and the bed was comfortable. The price was much better than Davis hotels. The proximity to a Safeway allowed us to get food and coffee. The breakfasts were ok, and the staff was very nice.

Worst experience of my life. they have cockroaches. Every where was sold out had to drive home 100 miles. Do not stay here unless you like to sleep with bugs. They were nice about giving my money back.

Short review: I made reservation in June but never received a confirmation email as is customary with all other hotels where I've reserved online. I attempted to find my reservation several times but was unable to. Ultimately my husband booked us at another hotel and I was charged a no show fee. Hotel is probably just fine but online reservation system is definitely inadequate.

Check-in was fast. I was given a suite in a separate building. It was a short walk. You need a key to get into the building. I was on the second floor. There was a door just for the second floor as it opened to the stairs. I did not see an elevator in my building. But, there were other buildings so I am not sure if they are all the same. The room had a kitchenette, a small living room, a bedroom, and a separate bathroom. You could access the bathroom from the main area or from the bedroom. There was a sofa and coffee table, desk, two tv's, coffee maker, microwave, and a small frig.There was an iron and iron board. Everything was pretty good as far as the room is concerned. The bathroom had a separate water closet and a shower to go along with the jetted tub. The soap, lotion, shampoo and body wash were all in dispensers. There was a small balcony off the living area. Nice. The only disappointment with the room was no utensils, or dishes. I expected them as they are usually supplied with this type of room. All they had were two BW wine glasses. All the other cabinets were empty. The breakfast area was nice and bright. The food was average at best and the selection was less than expected. They were also slow to replenish food as I found something waiting to be replenished daily. A couple of evenings there were cookies at the check-in counter. That was a nice touch. The hotel was within walking distance of a burger king and there was a grocery store that I could have walked to in a pinch. My guess is that at one time this hotel was a residence inn as it reminded me of the older RI's. I would stay at this hotel again, but it was a little pricey.

The hotel was nice with pretty grounds, but limited parking. The breakfast was great. The serving area good have been better organized though the food was the best we had on our trip. The room was comfortable and quiet.

We were early arriving, about 3 hours before check in. Had to ask to check in early because of an event to attend that night. We were told there was an early fee of $30, of course we didn't want to pay that so after some conversation discovered we were rewards members so it was waived. Nice property, I would recommend.

The appearance and cleanliness of the hotel was very nice! I would definitely stay here again. I stayed in a big room with a balcony and a separate sleeping bedroom and it felt like I was in an apartment. Very nice place and people!

I have stayed in this hotel a few times when conducting business in Northern California. This is a clean and convenient hotel between Sacramento and the North Bay area. It is located just off I-80. There are good restaurants available in the area. Very good for business stays.

OK, so now I understand the very up and down reviews of this motel. My son and I stayed Saturday 9/9/17 checking out Monday 9/11/17. We had our 2 dogs with us, so needed a pet friendly room, I normally stay at Hilton Brand but due to the dogs had to try somewhere different. First - the positives - ground floor room with direct access to outside great for the dogs. Room was remodeled, very clean, everything worked. My son and I both slept great - even though other reviews mention freeway noise we could hear nothing of this in our room. Breakfast was outstanding, similar to Hampton Inn breakfasts, cereal, oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffle machine, fruit, yoghurt, breads, donuts, I probably missed something but there was A LOT of choices and everything was fantastic. So - the "HUH??" moments at this hotel - not bad by any means but just make you go "HUH??". 1. It's pet friendly but they have replaced all the grass areas with rock. You have to walk off hotel grounds to find grass. Not sure where they expect you to take your dog to go do their business on hotels grounds. It's not a far walk but just made me go "HUH??". 2. Towels - either need replacing or a dang good bleaching, should be white but were not. Only had 2 bath towels which we made work but the room (2 queen beds) could sleep 4 people so not sure what would happen if you had 4 in there. 3. Toilet paper and tissue the hardest and worst I've ever had in my life, quite honestly left my behind very sore!! Come on BW - really?? Kinda made me go "HUH??" 4. Went to the front desk Sunday evening to get pool towels - I had just spoken via phone to the front desk, not 5 minutes before. Got there, no staff. Waited, called out, left, came back, waited, called out, after 20 minutes (no kidding) the front desk lady comes in thru the front door. I could have taken everything out of the front store etc!! Jacuzzi didn't work and she didn't know how to get it to work. So, just another "HUH???" moment. 5. The sauna (advertised) is not kept on. The steam room is being used as storage, the pool is not heated, it looks great but even at 100F+ weather it was way too cold to swim in, the Jacuzzi also looks great but doesn't work. Overall, would I stay there again? Probably. The room itself and the bed gave us a great night's sleep. The breakfast was very good. However, it seem this motel is trying to keep costs down wherever they can. If you don't want to use the pool., Jacuzzi etc it's a nice play to stay. If I go again I'm not kidding I'm bringing my own toilet paper and tissues!!

Your observations will be helpful to us with future stays for all of our guests. The best service any hotel can offer a guest is a great night's sleep. Since we recently finished a complete renovation of our hotel, all of our beds are nice and comfy....glad you were able to sleep well;) As a select service hotel, we do not have a full service food & beverage operation so we definitely take pride with the breakfast we serve. As you noted, there are a variety of hot and cold items on our buffet - enough to please almost everyone's tastes. We are very much puppy (and kitty) friendly and are the host hotel for several dogs shows at the Dixon Fair Grounds each year. We do have a designated lawn area with waste bags located on the west side of our hotel. But, when our parking lot is full, it is difficult to see this area. As the proud owner of two black labs who travel with me frequently, I know how important it is to have an area where they can run around a bit and do their business. We are continually replacing older towels with new ones. Here it seems we not only didn't take older towels out of inventory but also shorted your room. Our standard practice is to have four sets per room, per day. This we have addressed with the room attendant and it comes down to observation and training. Also, we do have our own laundry service on property in order to better control quality. Please know the vast majority of our towel inventory is fresh and bright. On occasion, a few senior cloths like to sneak back in...... TP....I went over to our housekeeping department and checked out the toilet paper. Admittedly, I'd give it a 2 1/2 to 3 stars out of 5 - not real bad but definitely see your point. I'll address this in our next management meeting. Regarding the Jacuzzi, I can only surmise the on/off switch below the timer may have been in the off position? I had maintenance look at the fuses and circuit that controls the Jacuzzi and it seems to be operation normally. Unfortunately our sauna was not working during your stay. The main fuse which runs it blew and we needed to order a new one to have it operable again - we ordered several. Love2Hike, though my responses to your review may have come across a bit on the humorous side, please know I take every point you made very seriously. On average, for every person who takes the time to write a review with both good and not so good, there are at least 10 who do not, so, it is very much appreciated all the effort you put into your feedback to us. We would love the opportunity to have you as our guest again the next time you are in the Dixon area. I stay here when in town on business. The staff are friendly and accommodating and the rooms are reasonably nice. The grounds are well kept. There is a breakfast buffet daily and although I don't utilize it, I have traveled with people who have and they have said it is a nice buffet. This is a nice quiet hotel just right off the freeway which makes it a good choice.

This hotel was in a quaint town near outlet shopping and not far from Sacramento. Was very clean and quiet. had a nice little pool and a very decent BW breakfast. cheaper than Sacramento for the short drive.

Overall this experience was different from my first. Staff was not as friendly upon check-in. Bed sheets were stained, I was accommodating into a new room was nice. Great Breakfast selection! I appreciate the water bottles in the room.

This hotel is a great place to stay. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean and quiet. The air conditioning worked well which can be an issue in the summer heat. There was a great Starbuck's nearby.

Very nice Hotel. Quiet community and quiet Hotel at night. Very comfortable rooms and the staff is very courteous. Some good local restaurants close by and a few within walking distance. I would recommend this Hotel if you are looking for clean quiet room for the evening.

The overall hotel is fine. It has a mix of rooms with interior and exterior doors. While the corridor we were in was fine, the corridor our friends were staying in (300s) smelt strongly of cannabis. The hotel needs to remove this issue. It does not otherwise merit being a Best Western PLUS.

Stayed with my 18 year old daughter. We shared a king size bed. The room was very spacious. it has a small couch where you can sit and relax. We like that it has a refrigerator so we can store our left over food from restaurants. One towel was dirty with lipstick and make up and was replaced. Other than that, We will come here again.

I recently stayed at the Best Western in Dixon and was suitably impressed. Everything, from the lobby to the bathrooms, was exquisitely clean. There wasn't even any mineral deposit around the bathroom fixtures! The room was very comfortable as was the bed. The location was quiet except for some freeway noise, but that did not bother me. I definitely would stay here again; my only complaint is that breakfast does not start until 7 AM, and I am used to eating at 6 AM - even a 6:30 start would be helpful. The breakfast had a marvelous selection and was well prepared. The entire staff was helpful, courteous and good-natured as well as professional.

Be careful with this hotel. It falls way to short to be a Best Western! I believe with the right management or ownership can make a difference. They will cancel your reservations without notice, not clean the room thoroughly, the breakfast starts at 7am and not 6am like all the other ones, the fruit is not fresh and the dining room workers have to be police and ask everybody their room number even my kids. I have stayed at least at 100 Best Westerns and NEVER had an experience like the one in Dixon.

We had an amazing stay. We arrived close to midnight and the hotel staff was very accommodating. The room was large with a kitchenette and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast by the pool the next morning was delightful. We will stay here again.

Very nice hotel and staff. Nice surprise to have omelets and home made coffee cake for breakfast. Alice was our breakfast host. Dixon is a good alternative location to staying in Davis or Sacramento.would stay there next time.

Would highly recommend this hotel. The staff was great! The room was a good size. The bed and sofa were comfortable. Our room had a jacuzzi tub! The fridge and microwave were hidden so they were not obtrusive. The pool area was good size and the pool was big and had a deep end. Excellent!

Very handy hotel for the area. Clean and quiet with a good breakfast and outside pool / spa. Very pleased with my stay and definitely would use this hotel again. Restaurant within walking distance if needed. Front desk staff very helpful and accommodating.

The Best Western Plus Dixon Davis in Dixon CA is located with easy access to major highways. It is within easy walking distance of Denny's for 24 hour dinning access. There is a gas station just down the street and other small businesses with in a block. The hotel is visually appealing and the staff is helpful. Certainly a good choice when in the greater Sacramento area.

We stayed at this location because our grandson was playing football at UC Davis for a camp. We stayed here because it was close and had a full breakfast. We did not go wrong, nice motel, good breakfast, close to UC Davis and very good service, I would stay there again.

Best Western Plus in Dixon is a very convenient and comfortable hotel with a friendly and accommodating staff that always strive to make our experience the very best. Their beds are top notch and the overall experience rates equal to many of the 5 star resorts that we have stayed in over the years. This hotel is great in many ways: clean, safe, bright, complimentary bottled water, nice breakfast offerings, easy parking, near freeway, attentive staff, near UC Davis, and good price. I like it so much I have stayed here 4 times already and will plan to come back whenever I visit UC Davis or the surrounding area. I highly recommend this location.

This hotel was so clean and organized. I love the Non-smoking hotel. They had complementary hair and body wash supply's. I love the staff, all were friendly and helpful when I needed something. Quick check-in and check-out.

There is nothing fancy about this place. There is no elevator so you have to carry your luggage up stairs. After carrying our luggage to the room we were disappointed that there was no air conditioning on. We checked it late afternoon so the room took a long time to cool off.

Motel absolutely fulfilled the goals of close to Davis, easy to get to and from. Clean place, nice help. Breakfast was a REAL meal, including omelets, and waffles. Excellent pastries (not packaged old stuff.) Clean room, everything worked, helpful staff who did provide toothbrushes we forgot. Only problem : the airconditioner was loud when operating , and it did go on an off during the night.

Nice all,around. Gardens help mitigate the dust and heat of Dixon . My room was up stairs and down a long hall, elevator would have been a help. Good breakfast choices. Lobby is a bit too glitzy? Looks like a hair salon?casino?

Have stayed at this BW twice in the last two years to visit my daughter, a student at UC Davis; Chose this BW due to the ones in Davis being full; Just a short drive to Davis but worth it; As good or better than the ones in town and cheaper; I would definitely stay here again;

It was a great hotel for a reasonable price. The staff was very friendly. The amenity were great and appreciated for the cost of the room. The breakfast had a variety of options available including an omelet bar.

This Best Western is an excellent choice, because it has something for everyone. We especially enjoyed the quiet room with air conditioning that does not keep one awake at night. It gets very hot in summertime Dixon. Nice pool, computers available, easy parking, and a complete breakfast.

I work construction and travel all the time. This hotel is great for myself and crew. Stores and restaurants are very close and the rooms are excellent! Parking is limited but it always works fine. The fitness center could use some more weight machines though.

Dixon is located about 30 miles from Sacramento, California. I was in Dixon to document the funeral service of a warrior at the Veteran's Cemetery. The Best Western Motel was less than 10 minutes from the cemetery, so it was super-convenient to be there.

We were really surprised by how nice this hotel was for the price. so easy to get to, near the freeway but incredibly quiet. The hotel was very clean and well kept. The morning breakfast was also very good with a good variety to appeal to everyone. Very pleasantly surprised.

Understandable the location is right next to the freeway as most of others motels / hotels do, but this one let more freeway traffic noise gets in to the room more than the other, if someone has sleeping problem, then this should be put into consideration. Saving water is one priority to the Golden States and around the world, but making the shower experience as bad is really out of my mind. Breakfast items are too few to choose from despite the juice bar is very impress.

The bed in this room was very comfortable. Got good nights rest It was very nice sitting out by the pool as well.Everything was good except the phone service. The breakfast was good, would have preferred scrambled eggs without the peppers though.

This location was a surprise the hotel is hidden off the freeway. Thanks to Google maps I was able to find the hotel. The hotel is clean great parking and friendly staff. The Hotel is located in a court. It seems this is a well known spot for truckers. they like the available parking for the big rigs. I didn't hear any of them leave in the morning Our room was facing the street. I'm happy to say we had a quiet nights sleep.

I don't like walking into the bathroom and finding long black hair on the bathroom counter or the floor. My hair is short and brown. It wasn't mine. Black smudges on the bathroom floor meant that it wasn't cleaned. The fact that the pervious person's beer was left in the room means that the cleaning services don't go by a check list. I'm allegeric to alcohol which means I try to stay miles away from it. Would I stay there again?!?! NO

Great room. Clean and comfortable. Staff was professional and friendly. Better shower head for more power. Building and landscaping was well maintained. Love the fact that pets are allowed. Needs a dog area.

We have been traveling all week and needed a place to stay then we saw this little gem. This place has beautiful grounds, comfortable bed with fluffy pillows, living area and a kitchenette. The bathroom is spacious with Bath and Bodyworks soap, in the shower they have a dispenser with shower gel, conditioner, and shampoo which was nice because I forgot my shampoo. This place is really clean and comfortable and the staff is nice and awesome. When traveling through Dixon California we will definitely be back. There is a Safeway grocery store across the street, and a Denny's, and I-hop in the same vicinity.

Good hotel with easy access to Davis. I like their free breakfast. I have stayed three times and the room and service has been good each time I would stay again. I appreciate being able to reserve in advance and get a 24 hour cancellation policy. It was pricey for the area, but I did come on Picnic Day weekend. The wifi was a bit slow. I miss the bar soap. They only have soap and shampoo in wall dispensers which don't work very well. But when I asked the evening clerk for a bar of soap, she gave me two. The pleasant evening clerk also gave me plates and spoons for the pie I bought. Very good service. There isn't much to do in Dixon, but this hotel suited our purposes for wanting to be near to Davis. And it was less expensive than the hotels in Davis.

This hotel is fine for a one night, stay, the pool area is actually quite nice for this type of motel. However ask for a room with inside door (new building) on top floor.. It is located off of a highway, not much going on in the local area, so not a destination but fine for an overnight on the way to someplace else, or if you need lodging in this area for an event.

Excellent friendly staff. Room was very clean. Free breakfast is a nice feature and they are pet friendly!! Very enjoyable stay. I highly recommend it. Depending on your room location it can be a bit noisy due to the proximity to the highway. Just ask for a room that doesn't face the highway.

I like that they had the living room separate from bedroom allows for quite sleep for other guest, if you are staying more than 1 day the kitchen comes in handy to keep purchased items cold and allows way to snack without leaving the room.

The staff at this establishment was super! Very accommodating! I arrived late took shower and noticed the hair dryer was missing...made a phone call to the front desk and immediately a hairdryer was delivered and many apologies or my inconvenience was made. The second time I stayed there, we were in a room that appeared to recently been repaired and the bathroom had sawdust and debris on the floor....immediately we where shown to a suite with a fireplace, kitchen and living room! Wow! Didn't expect such an upgrade for such a minor infraction! These guys go the extra mile to make their guests happy!!! Thank you Best Western!!!!

I enjoyed my stay, the TV is big. clear and had a great selection of channels. The bed is comfortable the heater/cooling works well and quite. I have stayed here with my wife in the past and she loved it but this time it was business and I got a great nights sleep.

When we stay in San Francisco we always stop at this hotel. We have stayed here twice now. Always enjoy everything. Great breakfast clean rooms beds are a little soft but other than that it is an awesome stay.

Second stay here. Would come again. It is a well maintained property. The staff is polite and welcoming. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is pet friendly, but only outside corridor rooms are used for pets.

I stay at Best Western Hotels when I travel because they usually have a very firm mattress and a neutral smell. This hotel had sheets that were permeated with bleach and the smell filled the room. If you are chemically sensitive, best avoid this hotel.

We stay here every trip to Davis to see our kids. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, and we avoid the crazy bicycle traffic and college hubbub of Davis. The Denny's next door is the best one we have ever found, and Firehouse Bistro was wonderful. Easy to get gas and go, the next morning.

Promised and booked handicapped accessible room for wheelchair. Got tub bathroom, not roll-in shower. No shower chair available to transfer to and no removable shower head. Floor space access to bathroom was very tight and hard to manuver in wheelchair. They had lifts for spa and pool but we could not stay to enjoy it and if we relied on this to shower, would have been very cold. This room was nice for non-handicapped people but we needed an ADA room. We left and were refunded.

This is a nice hotel, nicely appointed, quiet, good beds. Breakfast was a little boring, same thing everyday. Rooms were clean, priced decently, easy to get on the major highways. A god deal for the price.

We chose to stay in Dixon rather than Vacaville (outlet !) because of the much cheaper rates. The place was clean, the pool rather big. Only disadvantage: No restaurants other than fast food around. Would go there again on the way to SF.

The lobby was very nice and the person that checked us in was very helpful and friendly. We didn't have reservations and checked in late in the evening. The property was clean and conveniently located near the freeway. The rooms were nice and comfortable. It was interesting to discover the second floor balcony where our room was located was held up by additional wood braces along the walkway however. After singing the praises of the Best Western continental breakfast to my friend, we went down to an extremely disappointing breakfast. We did get there about 15 minutes before it ended, but that has never been an issue at any other Best Western I've stayed at in the past. There was about 2 1/2 servings of scrambled eggs left, no sausage or bacon, the other container where that would have been was empty. Another guest had to ask for milk more than once. At least the waffles were still available.Then there was an orientation or something like that going on with several people on a tour, maybe of what not to do for breakfast.

For major UC Davis events like move-in weekend and Picnic Day, lodging for out-of-town parents and family fills up quickly in Davis. We were pleased to find the Best Western Plus Inn Dixon as a convenient alternative to staying in Davis. We stayed in the non-smoking building which was clean and quiet with doors opening on to an interior corridor. It is buffered from the freeway by the other hotel building. The staff were very friendly. The full breakfast buffet was standard fare, but you can sit by the pool to eat, which is a nice way to start the day. This is also a very convenient location for travelers. There is a Safeway supermarket and gas station in very close proximity to the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Great location near the freeway and close to UC Davis. A very clean comfortable room. The breakfast was great. There were many cold and hot items to choose from. We also enjoyed the pool and spa. The hotel staff was helpful and courteous. We definately would stay there again when were in the area.

This has got to be one of the best run hotels in the area. The front desk clerk went out of his way to accommodate my room request. The room itself was immaculate with a sink, fridge, microwave, and...wait for it... REAL mugs and glasses for the coffee maker. I don't usually take photos at motels, but the breakfast knocked my socks off, so I've included some photos. Waffles, fruit, yogurts, eggs, sausages (good ones), juices, coffees and herbal teas, cereal, real oatmeal, etc... And as a little bonus, some topiary gardener has gone around the whole property pruning & planting. Oh yes - one block to restaurants & Safeway. I plan to make this a regular stop. The management obviously takes great pride in their hotel.

Let me go right to the bottom line. We have been staying at this property annually for a number of years. In that time the price has increased more than 70%. Why? Not location. This property is in a small farm town, 10 mi from Davis and 20 mi from Sacramento. If one of those is your destination, there are much better choices in town at more attractive prices. Not special amenities. The property is nicely maintained, though hardly exceptional. The rooms are adequate but far from large and well-appointed. The breakfast is fine, but not up to what we have found in top-flight Best Western. The rate is significantly higher than we have paid in better Best Western properties in destination locations. So, at a fair price, I'd say four stars or more; as it is, 3 stars is generous.

Loved our stay here! We were greated by two lovely front desk staff upon arrival. They were sweet, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms were nice. The grounds are well kept. The pool cabana was my favorite. Breakfast was great- able to provide gluten and diary free alternatives.

The hotel was nice and mostly clean with the exception of food left in the fridge from a prior guest. The breakfast bar was average with pancakes, sausage, cereal and other typical items. The beverage choices were limited. Overall experience was fairly average.

Convenient location, friendly and efficient check in & check out process, spacious room with nice updated details, nice selection of TV channels, breakfast needs improvement. Room 111 had a whirlpool tub and it was somewhat challenging to get in due to its height. I would not recommend this room for an elderly person and/or a person with disabilities. The water pressure in the shower was not very good. The room is located next to the fitness room and I was a little concerned about the possible noise coming from there, but luckily my husband and I didn't hear any noise coming from the adjacent room. Overall, it was a good stay.

Always excellent and always consistent. The staff is exceptional. I go out of my way to stay at the Best Western in Dixon even if it means driving many more miles to my business destination. The parking lot is well lit, the buildings are secure, the pool and hot tub are clean and maintained and the grounds are well kept.

I've stayed at this hotel for 40 plus nights while working in the area. You can't beat this hotel for the price. The management and staff were excellent and very friendly. The rooms are cozy and clean! The wifi and breakfast are pretty good too! This Best Western really puts the "plus" in Best Western Plus.

Check in was simple. Room had 2 couches which was nice to lounge in and the bed was very comfortable. Room was clean. Only complaint was the washroom was small. Close to several restaurants, the interstate and gas stations which makes getting out in the morning a breeze

My stay was for one night while passing through town on a road trip. The rooms are really nice and quite large. It seems like they were recently renovated, with nice bathrooms and comfortable beds. I have no complaints about the room itself...I could have stayed multiple nights. However, it seems like there are a number of people living long term at the hotel. There were a number of guests hanging outside smoking and drinking and a girl on the steps directly outside my room talking on her phone. I wasn't comfortable on the ground floor so I asked to be moved upstairs where it was quite and I felt safer. Once upstairs and in the room everything was fine. I'm pretty sure these people are harmless, but it is why I knocked a point off my rating. There is another building where the rooms are accessed from indoor hallways that seemed much more secure. The guy at the front desk was very understanding and helpful during all my room changes. Breakfast was better than what is typically served at this range of hotel. The scrambled eggs were really good! I also felt the price was pretty good for the quality of room. Other than the guests lingering outside I would say I had no other complaints about my stay and was very pleased with everything else.

Arrived at almost 1 am, but the girl at the front was cheerful and efficient. Was pleasantly surprised at the size & quality of the room (wasn't expecting much for $79). Only issue was the broken ice machine, but they had another one a short walk away, so just a minor inconvenience. All-important wifi was more than fast enough for streaming video, and I didn't notice any dead spots in my short walks around property. Highly recommend this location

I chose this hotel/motel because of the good price, amenities (pool, hot tub, etc.), nice rooms, proximity to UC Davis (a 15 minute drive), and the full breakfast offered. The room (I asked for and received an interior court room) was perfect - clean and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast had a wonderful selection of sausage, eggs, gravy and biscuits, make-your-own waffles, etc. - that saved me the $30.00 it would have cost if the three of us had gone out for breakfast. I would stay here again for sure - highly recommend.

This hotel is very nice, modern and well equipped. I felt safe, and that is important when traveling alone. Only problem, I needed a first floor room due to having a very bad knee. I requested first floor when the reservation was made, seems that does not mean anything. As a result of walking to stairs for many unpacking and loading trips, I am unable to put weight on my knee.

The staff were very pleasant and accommodating with special requests. There is more than one building and the one I was in did not have an elevator to the second floor. The breakfast room was adjacent to the pool, which seemed pleasant.

Always stay here for business several times a year. Clean rooms and courteous staff. Great value for the price. One of the best from Vacaville to Davis. The best in Dixon. Food and gas within walking distance. Safe busy location. They have indoor and outdoor corridors. Pets are welcome!

We came here with a baseball team of 10 twelve year old boys and their families. Roberto, the general manager, and the entire staff at the hotel were amazing. They were responsive, helpful and friendly. The pool and outdoor area were perfect for our group and we never felt that having a large group of boys here was a burden or issue. I would highly recommend!!

Overall nice clean hotel, right off freeway and my room was nearest end to the freeway thus could hear it in distance a bit. People at front desk were helpful, and friendly. Not a huge number of options in Dixon, but this was pretty decent place to stay.

We stayed here while visiting relatives. Our room was large and comfortable. We slept well. Staff was friendly. It was hot (in the 90's) when we arrived. The window to our room was open but the AC was not on. It took a few hours to get the room cool. I used the guest laundry. There is nowhere nearby to wait. Would have been nice if a sign was posted indicating the length of the wash and dry cycles as it would have saved me a few trips up and down the stairs. There is a nice range of foods at breakfast and we enjoyed dining by the pool. We would stay here again.

We arrived very late in the night after visiting a loved one at Travis AFB hospital. We had driven about 300 miles and were very tired. When we opened the door to our room, it was so clean, fresh and wonderfully decorated. We were energized by the quality of the bed and sheets (usually only found at Doubletree or better). Quiet room. Very clean shower and bath. Everything in the best of condition. We will return.

The room was very spacious and nice. great lighting and décor. Pull out bed in the separate living space was big enough to sleep two teenagers and a toddler. the kitchen had a two pilot stove top, coffee maker, 2-slice toaster, microwave, and all of the gadgets you can ask for including a block of knives and pyrex with lids for easy storage into the full sized refrigerator. The balcony was complete with two sitting chairs and a table. the bathroom had dual entry leading from the bedroom and living room The Jacuzzi styled bathtub and separate shower were a lavish touch to the bathroom which also has a separate door to the toilet room. two 42 inch tvs in the living area and bedroom.

This Best Western has everything, from rooms with a balcony and whirlpool, to a barbecue grill at the pool area. Location is everything, and this particular hotel is across the street from a Safeway, adjacent to a Denny's and Chevron. We will definitely visit again and recommend this hotel to anyone. The entire hotel had a family feel to it, and we felt very welcome (and well rested).

My kids and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. Great pool area. Breakfast was good. Beds were less than desirable, could use upgrade to new mattresses. Nice location. Easy on and off access from the freeway. Would stay here again despite the beds.

Had a great time staying at BW Plus in Dixon. For a lower level hotel this was great. The rooms were nice and clean and comfy. The breakfast was comparable as far as choices go, but more fruit would have been nice. Overall...unbeatable for the price.

This was my second visit. My first stay the Wi-Fi had some problems but this time all the stars aligned perfectly. In fact, the nice young lady, Erica, who gave permission to use her name, was very attentive to my needs. She even set me up, in the computer, with a preferred room for my next stay. I prefer the bottom floor, on any corner, with outside access. There were more amenities than I would ever use which is usual for Hotel staff that concentrates on service. Does anyone actual use the ironing board? This Best Western must've invested in modern mattresses as this was best sleep in a while at a Hotel. I prefer to use my one shampoos and soap, but in this case, as these items were provided in convenient wall-mounted dispensers, I used them. My breakfast is usually a protein drink with some fruit after the morning aerobics but with a breakfast bar this good, I called a cheat day. The offerings were varied and plentiful, with an attendant for those do-it-yourselfers that are a little sloppy with the waffle iron. A [good] restaurant quality meal that was included in the price of my stay is quite a bargain as far as I'm concerned.

The hotel is located close to I-80 and quite convenient. The hotel is more like an old fashioned motel than a modern hotel. Reception service was good. Rooms are average. Internet was not very good. Breakfast was mediocre at best and the service was poor.

Normal good Best Western property. Comfortable bed, everything works in the room. The breakfast was above average with a fresh fruit salad in addition to the usual eggs, sausage, and so on, Lights different, on timers and proximity sensors so turns on when you walk into bathroom and shuts off 10 minutes after you exit. The refer and microwave is hidden in the closet and nice seating area.

This is a lovely hotel, fairly new, in a quiet town near Sacramento and UC. Davis. It is roomy, both in the property layout and the rooms. It has the top-level Best Western breakfast with bacon instead of greasy sausage, omelets!, oatmeal plus cold cereal, cottage potatoes, etc. The beds are comfortable, the TVs are excellent, everything works in the room. This could be expected because this hotel is quite expensive by local central valley BW standards as well as competitors like La Quinta, Holiday Inn, etc. Surprisingly for a two story BW Plus hotel, it has no elevator to the upper rooms. I was told that you can't get a BW Plus rating without an elevator, no matter how fine your meals are and having a fitness room, etc. In our case, it meant having to change rooms to a lower floor to accommodate a disability. The internet was surprisingly cranky and erratic for a new hotel. The grounds, rooms, lobbies, etc. were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The hotel was full and the staff had difficulty maintaining the breakfast area, particularly when many guests showed up near the end on a Saturday. This could have been anticipated and another staff person would have been helpful. If the prices were jacked up for summer and more reasonable in the future, I would certainly stay here again. It is one of the finest in BW's inventory.

The room was clean, neat and comfortable. The building did not have an elevator, but it did not pose a problem for me - just surprised. I was greeted by a very nice desk clerk who informed me that I was being upgraded to a better room, although I didn't notice any difference from what I requested using my BW app. The value of this motel was the best of any other Best Western Motels between San Francisco and Sacramento.

Stopped in here one night on the last leg of a 12 day road trip. I chose it for its location. It turned out to be the best BW Plus that I stayed at (3 total) on this trip. The building is relatively new; check-in was quick and painless; plenty of available parking; very nice room and amenities; room was quiet even though it is very close to Interstate 80; front desk gave me a recommendation for a sushi place downtown that turned out to be quite good; and you can walk to the Denny's or it's a short drive to Dixon's small downtown. The breakfast was what I call hearty which means there is meat in addition to the typical eggs, cereal, toast, yogurt and pancakes breakfast that I routinely encounter at a BW Plus motel. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was that the eggs were served in the form of a egg patty of about 4 inches diameter - which I found disappointing. However I understand how that would be very convenient for the motel to do that. Strongly recommended.

The rooms were comfortable and clean. I thought it to be quiet despite its proximity to the freeway. Breakfast was nice. My only issue was that the internet services did not work well, or did not work at all in the room I had. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

Great hotel. I only stay here when i am in town. The manager was very helpful and cared about everything. The coffee is good and the beds are cozy. The hotel staff was very responsive to all my needs. The room was very dark and quiet at night.

Recently, my staff and I stayed on a business trip. Our advance request for specific types of rooms and location was all in place when we arrived. Rooms are clean and spacious. This is at least our 5th stay at this Dixon Best Western. It's very reasonably priced, dog friendly and a well maintained property. It's across the street from a shopping center with grocery store. Even though it's right off the freeway the rooms are quiet. There are pick up bags for your dog.

My husband and I love Best Western's, but this was the worst we've stayed at. Firstly, there is a lot of noise. The freeway is right next to the hotel. On checking in we were told the times for breakfast for Friday and Saturday but the woman switched the end times by mistake, so when we got down there after 9AM on Friday, the breakfast had already ended at 9 (mind you, there is no where in the room where this information is given, either). Returning to the room, I figured I could at least make a cup of coffee, but no, the coffee maker in our room wasn't working. I'm very glad we were only staying for two nights. The only good thing I can say is that they have amazing black-out curtains!

We stayed for 3 nights over a weekend for an Alpaca Show at the Dixon Fairgrounds- The room was clean, the lobby was cozy, and the complimentary breakfast was standard for a Best Western. The water pressure coming from the shower head was fantastic - Their was a standard blow dryer in the room, which was a bonus from the typical wall mounted variety. We will stay here again next year when we return.

My husband had pass away. I had him for quite some time & it was time to let go of him..He was station at Travis Air Force Base. When I leave, I also will be placed with him--forever & a day---------Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery

Stayed here for Picnic weekend at UC Davis. With the no issues getting onto the Wi-Fi this time, this makes the place my "go-to" place to stay. My son lives in Davis and it was a hop, skip and a jump to the 113 North to Covell. This hotel is located near a lot of easy access places for gas and food. IT IS EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN! The hotel staff remembers you when you come in...(we stay here often)....and the value is outstanding.

Stayed here one night while visiting family, rooms are nice and good continental breakfast in the morning, arrived early and they were able to check us in. Pool area nice, but no towels provided. People next to us were smokers and stood right outside our door to smoke, but I can't fault the motel for that. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

Nice, large, quiet room with attractive furnishings. Excellent hot breakfast buffet in large attractive room. Not far from freeway but sheltered from it. Also great that only certain rooms can have dogs -- I am highly allergic to flea bites. We also like the small town feel of Dixon.

Newly refurbished room. Excellent heating/cooling. Excellent refrigerator, good microwave. Good hot water, shower. Good service. Attractive exterior and interior decor. Two downsides: bed very high - difficult for short people to get into - and no towel racks in sink area. Amazingly annoying.

Nothing too remarkable but a solid comfortable travel stop. The room was clean and a decent size - the food was fine (which can't always be said for the free BW breakfasts). Four stars might be a bit generous but in context (a place to stay for a night on a road trip) it seems warranted.

Loud truck traffic noise off the 80/ updated rooms / dirty carpet / room smelled / would not go back/ pictures looked much better in the ad. The lobby was nice the room looked nothing like the photo except for the nasty carpet.

I have stayed here in the past and continue to come back because this is normally a very clean property. This visit was disappointing. First, I try to stay at best western properties exclusively if at all possible and have a diamond status with them and enjoy the little perks that come with it. At check in, that status was not recognized at all. Not the end of the world, it happens. The biggest issue was the cleanliness of the room, or lack of it. There were beard trimmings all over the bath vanity which indicates it had not even been wiped off. Hair in the bathtub also. The biggest issue for me was the blood on the toilet base!! This is a deal killer for me in future visits. I did explain this to the desk staffer when I checked out, not to complain but to simply alert the management the housekeeping is not doing what they are expecting. She did discount my room and am appreciative of it but that is not the issue. This property has no elevator or automatic doors but I still have chosen to stay here because of the quality of this property. There are several other hotels at this very exit and I will evaluate this the next time I stay in Dixon. Just can't handle the blood on the Pot!!

Hotel was very quiet with friendly staff. The room was clean and the furniture and bedding seemed pretty new and kept in good shape. There was ample parking and it's a convenient location right off the freeway without being too noisy.

The staff here goes out of their way with being friendly! Marcelo at the front desk is def a people person and was able to even give me a small upgrade at checkin with my Best Western Rewards! Baked cookies when requested, and fixed the internet within minutes when we had a quick problem with it. The rooms were always clean and nothing ever missed in my 6 week stay, which rarely happens! The breakfast lady, Alice, was super friendly as well. Always a smile on her face and asking how my stay was going :) Here on business, so the hotel being quiet 99% of the time was amazing! Located quite close to the freeway as well!

We stay at this hotel every time we visit our daughter at the University. It is conveniently located and only 10 minutes to Davis. It is also less expensive than the hotels in Davis. The rooms are comfortable and the staff is great. The breakfast is pretty good--enough to satisfy you until lunch.

It was nice and clean place. It was a little older hotel. You had to walk to the main building. The rooms and front desk or main building was not together or under one roof. The shower was a tub / shower combination with pump soap dispenser. They had a nice breakfast. We were happy with it.

very nice Would stay again wish all the stays at motel were the same. Easy to access motel and easy to access freeway for travel . Made a mistake when we went to Yuba city the motel was a renovated motel 6 needs improvement. Do not wish to stay another night.

I have been staying here for years, possibly 20 and I love this BW. Prices are a little high lateley tho. The breakfast is pretty good. Wish they had real eggs :) but they have sausage with biscuits and gravy which alot of people like. THe hard boiled eggs dont always peel well...

We needed to be near Davis, Ca and I picked this motel because it was 10 minutes away. Wow, pleasantly surprised! I was not familiar with anything in the area and I couldn't have been happier with my choice. Easy on and off freeway; near some very good restaurants; only 10 minutes from UC Davis. Our room was in the new wing of the motel. Very nice, clean, quiet and quite large. Office personal very friendly and accommodating, nice morning breakfast, Highly recommend this motel for anyone going to the Davis area. Pretty grounds. The only negative I have is no elevator.

I continue to stay at this property due to the excellent value, the convenience in proximity to UC Davis, and the cleanliness of the rooms. Compared to what you get in Davis...this is a GREAT place to stay. I travel to visit my son at the university several times a year and this hotel has never failed to impress me.

Clean and spacious room. They use wall mounted pumps for the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers so you have to keep reaching for them. The breakfast bar is pretty much standard for the BW properties. This property uses a local bakery that is better than the prepackaged rolls found at other properties..

Stayed here while attending trade show in Sacramento. Easy drive to & from Sac. clean, comfortable room. Breakfast is typical & adequate for a quick start or walk next door to Denny's if you prefer. Enjoyed a very nice dinner for two at Firehouse Bistro in downtown Dixon, will definitely go there again.

Very nice and efficient desk check in - But the establishment lacked attention to detail (unfilled soap/shampoo in shower) and in one of the rooms there was no thermostat for the heater which means it is either blowing and noise or off. Not much of a "breakfast" and plenty of staff attitude in the morning for breakfast area and checkout.

A high priced moderate level hotel, offering nothing special but was ok. Room was nice, spacious, bed comfortable. Shampoo, lotion, etc is in inconvenient containers on the wall, which were difficult to operate and two were empty. Breakfast is included, but by 9am many of the offerings were depleted and not replaced. I wouldn't choose to stay here, but sometimes you take what you can get (a late night stop on the way home ) Nothing really drastic wrong with this hotel, just nothing really to recommend it, either. And we thought it was overpriced for the location and type of hotel.

Staff is really helpful. They moved me into a room in the inside building after expressing concern about the noise from the outside rooms. My two day stay was very pleasant. Breakfast and coffee were a nice way to start the day.

Best Western in Dixon is the only place I'll stay if I'm working within 1-2 hours of it. This week I worked in Roseville, Petaluma and Livermore but stayed at the Dixon Best Western. It's worth the extra drive.

there are lots of close eating places and there are gas stations really close also for fuel. Staff was very good. Rooms are clean. Beds are good. Even has extra blankets in the closet if needed. Air conditioner worked well. Pool was cold but hot tub was hot. No complaints about this hotel stay.

I had to stay over after a UC Davis veterinary appointment and dinner with my grandson since I live about 2 hours away. This was a very pleasant and clean motel. It was very convenient having a Safeway store right across the street.

We had booked under a group block rate at a special price. The price had been confirmed at the time I made my reservation, however at check-in I was informed the room rate was $20/per night more. In addition, they charged me an extra pet fee (5 nights instead of 4... even though at time of reservation I was told we would be paying a single pet fee per stay not per night). I was too tired to fight it out at the time and BW corporate had no additional comments other than "sorry for the misunderstanding". Frankly the hotel is overpriced for the size room we had. The carpet was stained; the walls were thin; the "free" breakfast was supposedly cleaned out by other guests by the time we got down there (even all the sliced bread, really?!?). The positive experiences I had was with the maid service- very nice people who were prompt and efficient, and the maintenance staff who had to come help us get a drain functioning in the sink. For the cost and the deceit during the reservation process as well as the poor customer service when trying to resolve the issue- I won't be back.

I have had previous stays at this hotel and they have been fine, but this stay I was in an exceptionally noisy room. I could hear every word of the conversation in the adjacent room and the noise from the spa (right next to my room) was really difficult to live with. I could also hear all conversations happening outside the building. If you stay there, ask where your room will be located.

This is an excellent Best Western and I would definitely stay here again. If you are traveling with kids or heavy luggage, try to get a first floor unit. No elevators. Otherwise very friendly staff and very clean.

We were attending an event in Davis & other BW's were full. So glad we found this one, convenient to Davis, with many restaurants within walking distance. The hotel & grounds were lovely, and more like a resort than just a hotel. Everyone was kind & helpful, especially Kayla at the front desk.

I was there on a business trip and I found the rooms to be very clean! Friendly staff and the free breakfast was a plus. Close to the highway and close to some good restaurants within walking distance

Loved the UpGraded Room! Breakfast was Great! Service Was Great. Internet a bit Slow but did what I needed to be done at the moment. Great people around the area. The bed was a great surprise. Extra blankets for the cold nights. Thank you for thinking of me! :)

We needed a place to stay in an emergency and this place was awesome. We ended up needing to stay quite a few nights in a couple moth period and the rooms were awesome, the front desk personnel was great. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area so that was another bonus. Whenever we are in town, we try to stay at this Best Western because they are AWSOME!!!!

My husband and I stayed here during a recent trip to California. The hotel was clean and beds very comfortable. They offer a complementary continental breakfast with the usual cereal and danish, but also included eggs, sausage, and waffles, all of which was very good. The staff was really nice and helpful. There is a Safeway across the street if you need groceries, which was handy. We would definitely stay at this location again.

This hotel is very well maintained and the staff is friendly. We stayed in the building that is across from the lobby. It is more like a hotel with interior hallways. The room was well appointed and everything was well maintained. The lobby had the standard free breakfast in the morning which was good for a large group. If in the area this is an excellent place to stay. You won't be disappointed.

Have stayed here many times in the past and have always had a great experience. All levels of the staff are friendly, well-trained, helpful, courteous and professional. Parking spaces are adequate in number but tend to be small and you may have to park on the outer, back perimeter of the property. Area is well-lit & seems safe. Although part of the property backs-up to I-80 and their are usually families staying there, noise has never been an issue during my stays. Breakfast has a fair amount of well-prepared choices (and Denny's is also next door). Very clean. A Safeway, several gas stations, fast food and many good restaurants are nearby. Easy on and off access to freeway. Dixon is very close to Sacramento, UC Davis, the Outlets and SixFlags in Vallejo.

Employees were very pleasant and made the experience after a long day very easy. Would stay here again! Breakfast was warm with plenty of seating when we were there. Very easy access to the freeway without the noise usually associated with a hotel that close to a busy freeway.

This was a trip with me and my husband. It was a very clean room and we were upgraded to a Suite which was very roomy! Breakfast is great and there is variety of hot and cold items. Location is good and it is easy to find.

We stayed for two nights on 9/17 and 9/18. Check in was easy and the room itself was mostly clean ( will cover that in a minute) and the beds were comfortable. The biggest reason why I could not give a better review? The traffic noise. Room 206 is backed up to Interstate 80 and it seemed like the first night we laid awake and listened to trucks rumble by all night. We determined the next morning a lot of the noise was coming through the exhaust vent in the bathroom, so we closed the door to the bathroom the second night and slept somewhat better. Cleanliness--the beds were made and the room seemed clean, but there was a pile of change on the desk that was probably left for the housekeeper still sitting there and I found a box of questionable age of Hot Pockets frozen (at least they were at one time) pizza treats in the refrigerator. No big deal since we did not need to use the fridge. The morning breakfast was good, but was exactly the same both days. I guess if I liked it Friday it was also good on Saturday! Staff was friendly and helpful, checkout was as easy as check in. Did not use wifi or TV so can't comment there. Our main reason for staying here was my daughter moving up to UC Davis and this was very close and easy to get to and from. Probably would stay here again, but would request a room in one of the buildings NOT backed up to the freeway.

My adult son needed a place to live in Davis, and this was a good place to use for visitng at a more reasonable price. They allow pets for a deposit and slightly higher rate. This was a clencher for us. Our double room was located downstairs, near the swimming pool. Despite these facts, the room was very quiet and comfortable. The hot breakfast served was a good variety of protein and carbs, along with juices. Make your own waffles were available too. Cleanliness was well maintained throughout the property. The Inn is composed of an older building (exterior doorways) with the pool and breakfast service, along with one or two newer building with interior hallways. The Inn attracted all ages, and travelers from other countries as well. All in all, a nice place. Wi-fi was horrible! They claim to have upgraded it since we stayed here. Who knows? I was hoping to stay here again in October when my wife and I attend an event at Davis, but right after confirming the dates, I found their prices were up about 50%. So we will stay in Sacramento and have a 35 minute drive to Davis instead of less than 10 minutes.
