Je m’inscris That was the WORST Experience in a hotel. There were several families celebrating Thanksgiving, but they were LOUD as you know what. Kids were running in & out of the rooms ALL Night long, sliding furniture & slamming doors. Never Again....
The bed is comfortable and everything is clean!! The convenience and location is top tier! The staff are very professional and accommodating. I feel very safe that's a major plus. The lobby is nice as well very clean. Parking is easy and convenient.
Gross, rooms are dirty! They didnt even try, I got switched to a different room which you would think it would be upgraded due to the disgusting room, but no. Same thing in the second room. I took pictures. The staff was very nice and didnt question the complaint. But, put me in the room directly across from the initial room and it was dirty as well. I only stayed one night and stay with family the next day. Awful.
The staff was very welcoming and professional at all times. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of dishes everyday. Some of the pillows were a little lumpy and the bed had a dip where people sat on the edge. The room was warm when we entered, but was quickly resolved once we contacted the front desk.
Hotel just did not meet my standards or expectations. Located in a remote area and my room smell was stale. Breakfast was sub-par with limited options & fruit that was not fresh. In addition there were limited amenities. Considering, I was traveling alone, I didn't feel completely safe at this hotel & its location.
This was one of the best hotels that I have stayed at to date. I originally booked through booking.com and there was a bit of miscommunication between them and the hotel. Upon speaking with the Manger Ms. Terri after an hour wait to get the issue resolved, I was able to get checked in. Adriona, I hope is the correct way to spell her name, she was so accommodating, inviting and sweet. I appreciate her genuine hospitality. I had a rough day that day and her kindness really lighten the load for me and children.
If your in Texas and need a room stop by glo gloria is one of the best receptionist I have ever met they also have a shuffle that will bring you to and from your destination and the driver who pick us up was so friendly giving us tips about food and amenities around the hotel
This was my worst hotel experience ever, and I travel for work! I had to move to a new room for my last night and ended up waking up with bed bug bites all over my arm (I have pictures). The bathroom shower had mold and mildew in it and the main hotel was filthy (I have pictures). When I checked out I showed the lady at the front desk my bed bug bites. She said she would call me later. I haven't received a call yet and that was 5 days ago. I will be calling the Texas health department about the bed bugs and the mold.
So disappointed, Best Western should take their name off this hotel! Dirty filthy place, food was always out they couldn't seem to keep coffee in the coffee pot I would have been much better across the freeway at the Motel 6. I've stayed at hotels over a hundred days this year most of them at Best Western. This does not hold up to the Best Western Standard
My vehicle was Vandalize in the parking lot during my 8 hour stay at glo. I spent my morning waiting for police. Front desk said their video camera doesn't cover the entire parking lot. This location is not safe for customers
Enjoyed our stay for a few short hours. Room was clean, bed and pillows were very comfortable. Loved the oversized decorative pillows that made a difference in my sitting up and laying down. Great staff at check-in.
We stayed as a couple planning to visit the state fair. We stayed 2 nights. The feel of this hotel was great and the staff was helpful. Breakfast had plenty of choices and the view from the 4th floor was very nice. Great panoramic sky view. Mattress slept superb!
This hotel is new and looks good on the surface. The check in process was slow as only one person was on duty on a Friday night. The king room was spacious and cute. Then I reached to pull a towel off the rack and the whole rack came down on one side. I was able to put it back in. Freeway noise is LOUD if your room is on the front facing out Overall great place for one night stay. Just don't look to close and you will see how cheap the actual fixtures are.
Everytime we've booked on of the GLO properties, everything is IMMACULATE! From the service at the front desk to the cleanliness of the room and aminities...it's always a 10 out of 10! The price is nice as well, lol!
I am a diamond member with Best Western and was told by the manager, I should of booked through hotels.com or Expedia. The third party bookings will always be cheaper. His words exactally. Our 80 year old mother wanted a downstair handicap room made at booking and they assured her she would have one. Well after checking in, they gave her a 2nd floor room, that door handle was broke. So they moved her to the 3rd floor, in which the air conditioner would not turn on, then they moved to her to the first floor that was not handicap which was very difficult for her and my 85 yr old aunt to share because her oxygen machine took up a lot of room and her scooter. They were completely cramped in their room. That is a fire hazard, and I can assure you I did turn it into the fire chief.
I enjoyed my stay the rooms was very clean and the TV is updated to stream channels, I highly recommend this hotel and location. I also enjoyed the breakfast you are able to cook your own waffles, however I would say the sausage could have been cooked a little longer just because its pork.
This was a last minute choice that turned out okay. I normally stay 4 star or above but made this choice because I have attended a meeting here. Was very pleased with the service, and attentiveness of the staff.
I was reluctant to book this property due to the last review I read. However, I took a chance and I'm glad I did. We had a very pleasant stay. I loved the hotel. It is updated, modern and chic. The only negative I found was the time for breakfast. I think if they extended it by just one hour itbeould meet the needes of tge work8ng guests and the leisure guest. Their time was 6am to 9am. However, this would not affect me recommending this property. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again if I have the need to return.
Glo is the best Best Western I've stayed in yet. I'm a truck driver and have stayed at multiple. Glo is definitely a must stop whenever I am in the area. The front desk staff are nice and solve any issues quickly.
Wow the beds are so amazing, plenty of big pillows, nice staff amazing housekeepers cool shower head nice cold AC this hotel is amazingly probably one of b the best hotels I've stayed at. I travel for business so I stay at allot the breakfast was nice Beyer than most keep up the good work. I'll be staying again
Nothing bad to say everybody was nice rooms looked good definitely loved the bathroom and the big Moore on the door just thought the spa was a pool be careful it's a hot tub burning your BACK HOT HOT !!
Kids running around the halls and knocking on doors at midnight. No coffee machines in several rooms because according to a staff member, they were stolen. Staff didn't even try to accommodate me. The noise kept going on all night. Afraid to tell the parents of the kids because they get mad.
The stay was very nice! I planned on only staying 1 night but ended up extending it for a few days more because it was comfortable and the staff was super helpful. The breakfast had both hot & cold options complete with fruit, yogurt and various juices.
Don't stay here! The BW Duncanville is much better. My room smelled so bad I had to leave the hotel after 2 hours. The smell made me feel sick and gave me a headache. The water pressure in the shower was so bad you couldn't rinse the soap out of your hair. The hotel refused to refund my money and the manager never returned my phone call. The Best Western in Duncanville is much nicer.
The staff greeted me with kindness and politeness. They were very informant and friendly. They kept asking if I need help every time I kept bringing in my belongings and I declined but I thought they were thoughtful. Dave Martinez and the front desk guy I couldn't remember his name but I do remember the kindness he gave me every time I asked him a question. I am coming back this hotel is very clean and staff are friendly and have a lot of kindness.
The staff was very helpful and polite. We needed an extra blanket and got one immediately still warm from the dryer. The room was large and very clean. The bed was comfortable although the sheets were scratchy. The reason for four stars instead of five is because the soundproofing from room to room and hall was inadequate. However, we would stay here again.
I like extra blanket on bed. Will request one next time. Slept really good bed was comfortable. Loved decor. Will stay at the Best Western GLO the next time I'm in TX. Will have extra blanket of course.
Staff was nice and helpful. Lobby was very retro mod. Loved it! Room was clean. Love the fact there's no carpet. Things live in carpet! LOL Breakfast was great with lots of choices. Will definitely stay there again.
Hotel is right on the interstate. We had a room on the front but weren't bothered by traffic noise. A shopping center and grocery store are a 2 minute drive down the street. Breakfast will close 30 mins ahead of the stated time so get there early. Rooms are kind of small. No lock on sliding bathroom door.
Have stayed at Glo hotels before as we travel extensively and are Elite BW members; this hotel does meet Glo standards let alone BW standards! Pro: Grave Front and early morning desk lady was friendly , said good morning and just a delight Breakfast lady kept breakfast area spotless and was efficient and friendly even though her English was limited Fitness room was clean and all equipment was in working order CONS. Outside is unkept, trash and needs mowing. Flower and landscaping needs weeding. Rear of hotel is overgrown and has a sofa in trash area that looks like it's been there awhile. 2 tall stools at checkin/front desk are filthy and stained Hot tub/spa was Luke warm and scum was along waterline ; no towels in spa area and dirty around Front Desk lady read from script, we preregistered online but had to redo everything….why preregister? Requested top floor as we're Military Combat vets, don't they read as we were going to be put on first floor! Got to room, delighted it was clean and comfortable; unpacked and turned on TV…..kept turning on and off! Called FD personnel and was told “Maintenance doesn't come in til tomorrow!” Really???? No sorry nothing…next comment was “Well I guess you could move?” No offer of help nothing!!!!! We are both Disabled Military Combat veterans with a small Service Dog….this is how we're treated!!!!! Now we're moved at the far end and room was dirty , alarm clock was grimy with something spilled on it. Wallpaper was peeling, bathroom sink when wet smelled of vomit, seating area by desk was ripped, caulking was crumbling, desk had bubbles in finish, sheets were worn….guess we were being punished. Not WORTH the price at any price! We WASTED 20,000 points on this stay!
We had a power outage at our house and chose to go spend the night in a hotel because it's too hot. We decided to try the Glo by Best Western it's somewhat new for the area and I don't usually have a problem at Best Westerns. They were not the only choice available but usually Best Western is a good price for the stay First the positives the interior lobby and the breakfast area we're very well kept. It had a modern feel. The lady that checked us in was pleasant and quick. Ok now for the bad. We booked two double queen rooms for our family. Rooms 223 & 225. I slept in 225. 1. No do not disturb signs. 2. There was no security latch on the door. EVERY other hotel I ever stayed at (even the low end ones) have some sort of device to secure the door from the inside so no one can open it more than an inch or two. Room 223 had this feature but my room 225 did not. One of the pictures show the device in 223 the other is from 225. 3. The bathroom had no lock for it. I thought my mom was in the other room dropping off drinks so I walked in and saw way more of my Mom than I ever should. I have a sliding doors at home in my bathroom and it's easy to install a chain lock. 4. They did such a poor job of sound proofing the hotel that it sounded like we were sleeping in the middle of the highway. Both rooms had this problem. This is obviously a well known problem as when I called the front desk and spoke to Jennifer we asked about switching to the other side of the hotel trying to make it quieter. She said that the hotel was sold out but they have ear plugs to help with that problem. It didn't even begin to touch it we put the earplugs in and put a pillow over our head and we can still hear the streets. 5. This is the most concerning, I was in a walking cast and my husband has a prosthetic leg. When you walk from the sleeping area into the bathroom there is about an inch and a half lip on the bedroom side and about 3/4 of an inch on the bathroom side. When his prosthetic got caught on the lip as he was leaving the bathroom, he did hurt himself. Luckily my son was in the room with him and was able to help him up and get him ice. He thought I was asleep so he didn't tell me until this morning when I was telling him about my fall. My walking cast also got caught on the lip going into the bathroom. I landed on my knees and palms. Last December I had rotator cuff surgery and 5 weeks ago I had ankle repair surgery. Landing on all 4's has me in a great deal of pain today. Right now I have ice on both areas and if it doesn't improve I will have to get CT scans of both areas. 6. When I called the front desk about 3:45 am Jennifer kept saying she couldn't hear me , that's from the highway traffic, I increased the volume of my voice so she could hear me she thought it was funny that I fell and put me on speaker phone so I guess another employee could hear. The other employee named Terry was making rude comments ( sounded like crazy B**** )while I am requesting an incident/accident report and again Terry was being very rude and so was Jennifer. When I was telling her about the fall, the loud rooms the lack of a safety device she said if I didn't like it I can just go home or find a different hotel. Even though our lights were back on I paid over $250 for both rooms. I had taken pain meds after I fell so legally I couldn't drive and because we left in a hurry in the dark I was the only one with our license on them. This doesn't live up to Best Western standards.
The hotel was clean on the inside. The staff was extremely kind. The pool is not really a pool, very tiny. It was more made to just sit and soak in. The rooms were very clean. My only complaint is that we could hear everything in the room above us, there is nothing to help buffer the noise.
*No Pool *The hot tub was broken *The room was dirty - hair everywhere - floor was filthy and sticky *No crib for infants *The smoke detector was beeping- likely indicating a low battery and the GM suggested I stand on the bed and undo the smoke detector *Check in took over 20 minutes because the *GM was chatting with employees regarding a vehicle that was stolen from the property a couple of days prior
The hotels swimming pool was not working. You have to ask for your room to be cleaned. When they cleaned the room, the beds were made and the towels were changed. The shower and floors were not cleaned.
Well, let's see. Staff always welcomes me with cheerful attitudes! The breakfast is always a great way to start the mornings during my visits, along with an awesome attendee. I will be back very soon.
Breakfast was really good the staff was super helpful and friendly and helped me a lot. The one thing I could say is the spa area could have been a little cleaner. There was some debris and leaves all around the hot tub
Going to the GLO Best Western in DeSoto Dallas, was a great experience. We were greeted very professionally, and the hotel was very clean. There was a variety of food for breakfast as well. Try the Best Western Hotels again.
Hands down this has been the best hotel I have stayed at in 3 years. The bed was super comfortable, room and bathroom were extra clean. I loved the comfortable pillows, roomy shower, hot breakfast with endless choices including waffles, eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal, bagels, toast, cereal, fruit, muffins, biscuits and gravy. To top it all off, everyone that I came in contact with that worked there was so super nice and welcoming, they seem like one big happy family.
Friendly Staff, clean room, good location for food. New updated look is being kept up well. Would recommend for a good price. Everything is expensive now but if you find this one for 100.00 range snatch up the deal quickly
Dent in the bed, no tissue in room, breakfast the potatoes was raw. Powdered eggs…. Room key malfunction - 3 times had to contact the font desk to get in the room each time. It was cold in the room as well.
I thought the modern looking exterior and BW past experiences would make this a very nice quick stay. I was disappointed in almost every aspect of the stay. The breakfast with all the unsupervised children was really the low point and a failure of the hotel IMO to get that mess organized. Don't really enjoy hearing what appeared to be a large group of pre-teen girls cursing like street walkers while they virtually trash the breakfast counter. The front desk clerk left much to be desired with regard to customer service/appreciation. I won't ever stay at this location again AND I'M A FAN OF BW. Didn't like it at all.
Very clean affordable rooms. Would stay here again, highly recommend for a quick stop through or get away for some quiet time. Not sure why I'm required to type a 200 word minimum to write a review WTF
This Hotel is very nice. This would be my choice when in the area, easy to access, good eating places near by, also shopping centers close as well. I couldn't have picked a better place for my stay, while I was in town.
My family and I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights and enjoyed our experience. The staff made us feel welcome and the room was spotless when we came in. The beds are so comfortable I haven't slept that well in years. I was impressed by the breakfast as well. The girl working in breakfast kept all the counters clean and the food stocked.
Would not recommend this motel, especially if you are a handicap customer. The rooms are not set up with the customer handicap safety. There are no bars in the showers or seats so you can sit while taking a shower. My wife had a no weight bearing injury and had to sit while showering, there was no seat or bars for her to be able to shower correctly. They did bring in a small plastic removable seat that was even more dangerous for her.
It was ok. My room smelled like someone had took a dump and smoked a cigarette then cleaned it up. A piece of the bed was broken and hanging off. The breakfast was not very inviting and the selection was overhyped. At 7 am the apple and orange juice were depleted.
Ashley allowed an early check-in which I was greatly appreciative of. She also laughed at my jokes....and that doesn't happen often, I'm sad to say...lol. The other members of staff were very helpful.
So I checked in at 11:00 am on October 3, 2021 at the property and informed the assistant at the desk I will be back at a later time. So when I arrived back at 3:00 a.m to the property and finally went in my room with my fiancé. The room was infested with gnats, there was hair throughout the shower. There also was blood on the yellow chair in the room. Lastly the alarm where you charge your phone had either chilly stains or something else. After my fiancé and I cleaned the room with Microban and processed with trying to eat our food there were gnats antagonizing the food and us. So after that at 4:00 a.m my fiancé asked me to go downstairs and ask for another room and our refund back, there was a woman who was intoxicated and passed out in the lobby and no one ever came to the desk which forced us to have to stay the night. It was so bad my fiancé and I slept in full clothing sweat pants and jackets to avoid the gnats. It gets worse so when my fiancé and I woke up at 9:43 a.m to check out we went down to get help from “Mr. Jiger” who refused their policy to us. Also he was very rude and never asked for the picture we have and only offered a 10 percent discount. So when I proceeded to let him know that it will not be sufficient enough he decided to call the police officers and rudely have us Escorting off the property and lied and said he wasn't able to provide a full refund or their policy.
This hotel is relatively new and has nice amenities. We loved that there was breakfast available each day and the cleanliness of the facility. They may be slightly understaffed as there wasn't replacement tissue or an adequate towel count in the room. Also, the a/c was out on the first floor so the lobby and workout room were warm. Also, would have loved complimentary water. Overall the staff was friendly and hotel was nice.
Middle eastern manager is racists. The rooms were not serviced in over a week. Had to buy our own towels. None of the amenities worked. No microwaves in rooms. Dryer does not work. Business center does not work. Filth everywhere.
Exterior: Appears very nice. Interior: Appears clean and offers good amenities. Also offers plenty of sanitary options for Covid. Room: Okay, found damaged amenities. Service: Okay/Good, front desk was friendly and courteous. House keeping suffers in customer service/cleaning. Overall Stay: Good hotel for the price. Centrally located right next to freeway access. Offers shuttle service. Fitness center. Walk-in Hot tub. Continental breakfast. 3 out of 5 on this one. Good price, Okay quality.
I highly 100% recommended this hotel or any Best Western I've ever stayed at. Always been one of the cleanest and most respectful and helpful employees of all the hotels I've ever stayed at. So I highly recommend
This hotel is simply beautiful! The staff is super nice! The rooms are decorated beautifully! I loveeeee the bathroom! I will be back!!! They truly make you feel welcome from the front desk to housekeeping! I highly recommend this location.
Awesome hotel very clean and sanitized rooms smell great and the cleanliness is on point I have nothing but good words and a great experience with this hotel I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone I know and I would definitely be back . For now on this will be my preferred hotel . Front desk staff awesome and housekeeping staff very helpful. Melody the housekeeping supervisor is very welcoming and very helpful. She went out of her way to help us get our luggage in the room.
Clean hotel and great service. The staff was friendly and helpful the entire stay. My family enjoyed the jacuzzi and fitness room. Highly recommend this location and looking forward to using this hotel again!
I had a great time and Samera hope I spelling her name right is a fun and helpful person. She is also the bartender and the drinks were great also. Hope that when I stay again she's still there!!! Me and my wife will be back again!!
This is by far one of he cleanest hotels I've been in . Great friendly housekeepers who will help u with anything u need whether it be extra blankets or just a question. I would definitely advise anyone to stay here.
The hotel was excellent!! Guest rooms have a modern chic design and were always very clean. Check in was a breeze with Aurora as well. I got the chance to visit with her at the front desk multiple times during my stay. She was always so happy and helpful. I'll be back next month for business again. This is now my hotel of choice!
The nicest hotel in the area. Friendliest Staff, Outstanding Hot Breakfast that exceeds any other hotel breakfast (Eggs, Bacon or Sausage, Potatoes, Toast,..etc). Easily Accessible to I-35E. Security Cameras in parking areas. Large parking spots for larger vehicles.
Front desk clerk was extremely rude. The noise level was super loud all night. People were stuck in the elevator and assistance was called to get them out. Housekeeping never cleaned the room during the two night stay. A 30 minute late check out was not granted. Would not recommend. There are better options.
So my Semi is in the shop for SERVICE...and they recommend GLO BEST WESTERN here in DeSoto, TX The CUSTOMER SERVICE here is PHENOMENAL!! It all started with JAYLA when I called to get some basic information....she was SUPER nice and friendly and answered all my questions and concerns. EVERYONE KNOWS the 1st contact will determine if a CUSTOMER feels good about continuing to BOOK A ROOM ...and so this was a good beginning. Then ERNEST who showed up in the shuttle to pick me up...now this man has a personality 2nd to none...he made me feel like a VIP and continues to do so everytime I pass him...he works EVERYWHERE in the hotel making sure things run smoothly. Later that night Front Desk clerk SUJEYLI went out of her way to help me with snacks while juggling the front desk and answering phones....somewhere in between all this I needed some extra towels and JAYLA who also was working the front desk...brought the towels to my room for me even though I was supposed to go and pick them up from front desk.... So the shop is waiting for PARTS...so without a doubt I am staying here for another night ASHLEY V who works daytime who is also SUPER NICE helped me Redo my room key .. I guess this place really knows how to find people who know how to PROVIDE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I will definitely be back when in need of a hotel in DeSoto
This hotel is okay if it's the only place in town to stay. I stay in best western hotels 2-3 nights a week, but this is one I will not return to. Not very well taken care of. Water pressure and hot water are a joke. When I was checked in and went to my room, there were people in there. We were both surprised. Thank God they were dressed.
I had a bit of problem booking at it appears that may have been a BW issue with several hotels down. Thankfully I was able to get through and stay at a GLO hotel for the second time, my first time at this location, I have enjoyed both experiences and look forward to future stays. Enjoyed have a full breakfast offering and a friendly front desk. The amenities of the room suited my needs of working my job in a remote setting before getting to go out and see some sites after hours.
This most be a high crime area. The catalytic converter was stolen of my truck and I was at shop all day trying get fix. The worst thing the lady at front desk wouldn't call the police for me. Told me that phone don't dial out from the hotel. And no one every call me to say they where sorry that my truck had parts take from it
They fraudulently and erroneously charged my credit card. The sanitizing stations weren't replenished by the elevator and breakfast station and there was nothing to wipe the equipment in workout room before or after use. The room wasn't thoroughly cleaned as there was a face mask, dust, and other debris when I moved the chair to put my luggage on it. I have been calling for the past 5 days to speak with management and I haven't gotten a call back from anyone that can assist with the discrepancies regarding my credit card.
I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel, the room was clean and comfortable, and everyone went out of their way to be friendly and helpful which was a nice experience considering they were fully booked and short staffed due to the storm and so many outages. Then even prepared a breakfast especially for our family as we were late for the breakfast tunes. Thank you Aurora and staff, it was a great stay.
In the past few years, GLO is one of the cleanness hotel's that I ever stayed in. From the front desk to the breakfast staff, everybody had such a wonderful attitude and great customer service skills. Will be back real soon.;
The staff and management are outstanding. The care and professionalism is above and beyond expectations. Jayla and Dee at the front desk show their hearts in the care they offer. The breakfast is high quality and the housekeeping is impeccable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel was very clean. Staff was great, always saw someone cleaning at the breakfast bar. Elevator was disinfected. Great location for shopping and dinning. Great wifi kids were able to continue their online classes!
This hotel is a top notch hotel. Staff are very friendly, helpful. Rooms are very clean with nice color scheme. I will definitely recommend to family and friends. Breakfast was amazing full and inviting. If you are traveling to DeSoto this is your place to stay.
Worst customer service. Agent raised her voice at us and had no idea what the policy was. She didn't wanna listen when i told her she was wrong. IT GOT OUT OF HAND AND I FILED DISCRIMINATION COMPLAINT WITH BEST WESTERN AND NOONE HAS REACHED OUT TO ME YET.
Arrived after 10pm with my husband, and was greeted by an intelligent young woman but visually unprofessional. We arrived in our room, and found a nice-looking bed and chair and gladly no carpeting. However, we found hairs on one of the pillow cases. The floor was swept but not mopped. No soap at the sink. Dingy washcloth left draped over the conditioner in the shower. Lastly, there was a a couple of hairs on the shower floor.
The overall experience was great during these difficult times. I would definitely do it all over again if the opportunity presented it self!! The hotel was great a great location and the value was exceptional.
I checked in and came into my room , sheets dirty and pubic hairs on the towels , the room door barely shut. I called customer services they wouldn't do anything about it. I will never ever stay here again
This place was amazing. It's brand new and very clean. The hot tub was great. There was also a bar which is a huge bonus for us. We will definitely be back to visit soon. They even had games for the kids in the lobby.
Everyone one was really friendly the room was really clean and nicely decorated several breakfast choices and in the evening there is a little bar area extremely nice motel with awesome service highly recommend trying this motel
Staff was nice And rooms where clean and nice. The property was well kept...Quiet and comfortable and most of all they had there mask on and the guest ....so i highly recommened .....Its not far from the freeway
I had my 50gallon auxiliary tank and storage box stolen out of the back of my truck. Over 2k in losses. Do not leave anything in your vehicles because people troll the parking lot just waiting for something good.
I had excellent service and the staff were very professional. I will most likely visit with GLo Best Western again if I travel to the Dallas / Desoto area. I would recommend GLo to my family and friends. It was a great relaxing experience for me.
Staff was great, bed was extremely comfy and I would definitely stay again. As long as it stays reasonable because I could hear the trucks and freeway noise all night. I had to keep the air on 70 to drown the noise out. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.
As a Diamond Select member with Best Western I was extremely disappointed in the quality of service and the poor conditions of the property. When I arrived in the lobby there was a very unfriendly stall smell. I thought maybe it was just a bad mop that had been used in the lobby, but it was upstairs in the carpeted hallway and room. For this property to be new, and based on a more modern look, the baseboards and corners in the bathroom was filthy, the floors were not polished and furniture including the sheets and spread looked dingy. Not the appearance I'm accustomed to when staying at other Best Western new properties. The water pressure in the toilet was very low and took twice to flush. It took about 5 minutes for the water to get hot in the sink. There's usually a dirty laundry bag in the rooms, nothing in that room. The night shift desk clerk was not helpful at all. Upon checking out, it was raining hard. I asked if there was a complimentary umbrella I could use to get the car and bring it pack it. Not an umbrella onsite. I was drenched by the time I got in the car and packed. This was a very bad experience. I would never recommend this hotel. I blame management for this condition of the property. I feel like I wasted 16,000 reward points for nothing. :(
I enjoyed my stay here, the front desk is very friendly at checkin and the rooms are super clean! I will definitely be coming back! I really liked the decor, also appreciated special care taken due to COVID-19
The rooms are nice. There's a good bit of road noise though, but if you ask for an even numbered room that should help. I took 1 star away because the staff lack a sense of professionalism, all wearing very casual clothes, poor representation of what a fine hotel it is. We also had toddlers above us and didnt get to sleep until after 2am. The staff didnt very little to assist in the matter. But what can you do about active kiddos.
The Rome is to expensive no microwave in room no water pressure in sink warts do get hot in sink the staff was extra nice and very helpful and very professional ghe excrise room was closed yhe pool was closed yhe breakfasts wsx half and I felt if your going to charge full price for the rooms then things need to be working
This place was welcoming from arrival to departure, the services are great, omg the beds automatically put you to sleep, very clean I recomend you to try once and I promise you'll visit again! Thanks glo!
Staff is friendly and professional. Rooms are awesome! Not having carpet was odd at first, but much more clean than carpet. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting. The location is also a plus. Near restaurants and other shopping.
This is a vary nice place to stay was there for 1 week vary clean ,air works vary good , vary good breakfast, only thing I see was little off 1 was 3 rd flore not the best water pressure. Still all good
Staff was great ... clean modern look breakfast was pretty good they have a small bar great amenities and jacuzzi hit the spot. I stayed for a week on business it's a great place to stay and I recommend for everyone
I was visiting town for a concert and decided to give this hotel a try. It was beautiful on the outside and very clean on the inside. Customer service was outstanding and I was very impressed with the breakfast. Loved the Texas-shaped waffles! How fun! Will definitely stay again if I'm in the area!
This hotel had a great friendly atmosphere from the moment I walked in. I was greeted with a smile upon check in. Amazing breakfast! Everything was clean and lobby smiled great and had games. Will be staying here on my next trip.
I'm glad that I chose this hotel to stay at. I checked in and the lady at the front was so sweet and checked me in quickly. My room was so cool, the colors of the room and the whole hotel are so modern. It looks amazing. I loved the large bathroom, I haven't ever seen a hotel room with that large of a bathroom before!!! Additionally, the room was clean and had a fresh smell right when I walked in the door. Breakfast was delicious as well!
This was A Amazing Property, filled with colorful decor and a spacious lobby. The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The countertops in the bathroom was so cute. I am a Travel Agent and I look for Small things and It was a great experience. Kudos to the front desk staff for taking such great care of me. The front desk lady was so accommodating and even moved me to another room. Way to hold down the brand and go above and beyond. This property was off the freeway, centered around shops and food locations. I highly recommend you staying even for a staycation in the city. Did I mention they had a Buisness center area, and a few games in the lobby that would be a fun conversation piece.
This hotel was built in 2018 (as I understand it), and did look very recent. The rooms have hardwood floors which I liked, because it gives the rooms a cleaner feel. The mattress was a gel mattress, and was very comfortable. The hotel lobby, common areas, and rooms have a combination of retro and futuristic touches which designers brought together very well. The staff was very polite and helpful. Everything about our stay was enjoyable.
Wonderful staff..just a great group of people. The rooms are nice...very clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast every morning. The only thing that disappointed me was that the rooms don't have microwaves. Other than that I highly recomened this hotel.
Was looking forward to this stay and was disappointed, blind wouldn't close correctly, dispenser in restroom didn't work. Customer Service was friendly.but everytime I came down there was someone besides myself waiting at counter for at least 10 to 15 minutes for a worker.
The location of the hotel and the room were OK. Unfortunately, due to a youth sports event, the hotel was inundated with kids and families. I say unfortunately, because the staff was apparently overwhelmed by the influx of people and lost their cool on several occasions that I observed. 1st issue - it is possible for another person to pay for one's room, usually it can be done with a simple phone call or a one-page authorization. Not here. 5 pages of authorization + 1 page reservation + 1 intercontinental phone call only to discover upon check-in that the authorization was not adequate enough. 2nd issue - parents drinking in the lounge, kids running amok in the lobby apparently stressed the front desk staff enough that they then snapped at everyone. 3rd issue - totally my fault, I foolishly appeared in the lobby wearing no shoes. Desk clerk said I had to wear shoes in the lobby. OK. I walked toward my spouse to get the room key when the desk clerk threatened to call the police. Seriously? Who acts this way? Although the price was (eventually) right, and the location was good, I will not stay here again.
I really enjoyed my stay. I was here for 3 weeks and the staff was so accommodating. The weekends were a little noisy with multiple people staying here. The walls are thin. I'm ok with a little noise as it wasnt all night. I would stay here again.
Very disappointed in the management and customer service of this hotel. I booked 2 rooms for me and my bridal party to stay at the night before my wedding. I reserved the rooms weeks before my wedding. I even got 2 confirmation emails. I showed up on the day of my reservation to check-in and set up the rooms all cute before all my bridesmaids checked in. Upon arrival, the front desk told me I only had one room reserved, I quickly pulled up my confirmation email for 2 rooms for 7 people. The individual at the front desk said, "Sorry, we don't have that in our system let me call my manager." After getting in contact with the manager I was informed they had no rooms and that I could have one room but I was kinda out of luck. I asked if I could be put in another Best Western hotel but they were all very far away from my venue for my wedding the next day. The individual at the front desk said I could have corporates number but that it wasn't their fault and that they did not have room for me and my bridal party even though I had already reserved 2 rooms weeks in advance. I had to call several hotels in the area to see if they had rooms last minute and I couldn't find any that could hold all of us at one place within a reasonable distance from the venue. I ended up having to stay at the parent's house of one of my husband's groomsmen and some of my girls had to sleep on pallets on the floor. I was also 30 minutes late to my rehearsal/rehearsal dinner because I was trying to figure out how my reservation got lost and trying to find a new place since everyone was arriving! The hotel's solution was to call the next day, they never did and my mom had to step out from getting ready and call asking what they were going to do to make this right. All they said they were going to do was not charge my card and said that they could give me a couple rewards points towards my next stay at their hotel... I suggest not staying here if you have an important event. I'm also still waiting for a call from corporate to try to fix the situation and it has been over a week. I was really excited to stay at this new hotel and very sad I had a bad time.
I heard someone complain that the rooms look like a dorm room. That's what I find very appealing about them. They look like a very, very nice dorm room. The floors are not carpeted, so I don't wonder what's in the carpeting. There are USB ports everywhere. The shower is huge, and the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are mounted on the wall so you can use as much as you want and not try to squeeze it out of a small bottle. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast is good. Not a huge selection, but all well made.
I enjoyed my recent stay. The rooms were clean but somewhat small. The hotel is extremely quiet which is good and bad. The lobby could be a little more lively and less sterile. The staff is very friendly
What a refreshing stay! Modern, clean, inviting. Only one issue, food was left in the fridge from a previous guest... yuck! The bathroom was equipped with toiletries that were top of the line that you would find at an upper scale hotel.
Property looks nice. Walls are thin. We heard the neighbors on each side every night. Power went out during our stay to whole neighborhood. This meant cold showers and walking up and down stairs. We were only compensated $15 on the bill. My daughter did find a strain of hair in her bed. Water bugs but to be expected after a hard rain.
My experience was great actually, for starters breakfast was on point. I love the variety of choices. The rooms are clean (non smoke environment). Aslo with New Up to date concept the place s very elegant. Will be coming back to this Hotel, I met the owner hes cool and attends to customer needs as well as management. I Highly recommend this Hotel for stay. Thanks, Jigger
I made reservations for a room, when I get there the next day I was put down as a no show and charged for there mistake, then given a room at a higher rate than what I got the first rate, after talking to management ,they said they would give me a free night due to their mistake, then they changed it, and charged more for the room. I call an talked to the manager, all she could say was it was a new employee and she didn't know , my opinion is the customer is right, due to your big mistake, But I will never stay at that Location again. Very Poor Management.
Not sure I will be staying at the Desoto location again, nor recommending it. We were checked in to room 305 which was already occupied. The man actually came to the door!!!!!! We went back down stair and told her the room was occupied. She then said the room assignment were made that morning she had no control!!!! We didn't book until late even on Oct. 2nd, because we had remodeling issues and couldnt stay at home for the night!!!! Then we get up to the room and it smelled of urine and cigarettes!!! I explained to the young lady the next morning her response was I'm sorry we charged them for that!!!!!!! Not a very good experience!!!! At ALL to say the least!!!!!!
what and excllent hotel right of interstate yet close enough to Dallas but not in Dallas. The decor !!! GREAT place from TOP to the bottom. Great people no problem @ all Clean and peaceful !!! close to restruant, gas station. Easy acess to the interstate
At first I was skeptical about staying at a Best Western but I was blown away by this hotel! The room was immaculate and stylish. I was definitely impressed for didn't know Best Western could bring it like this. Highly recommend this hotel.
Very different twist for Best Western. This is a boutique style hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. I was with a group that had to leave for work prior to breakfast being served and they made sure to have it ready early. Very good guest services! There was no microwave in my room, but I was able to use the one downstairs and I did have a fridge. Close to lots of restaurants.
It's been a fabulous stay! The rooms are very well maintained and their service has be excellent so far. AND..... if you leave a review on Travel Advisor you get a free beer!! Try the Blood and Honey Revolver on tap. It's delicious!!! Also Kelsei who checked me in was very awesome & nice! EVERYTHING she does while at her job is done with EXCELLENCE!!!
I travel with business and have to say out of the hotels I stay in this is by far my favorite. The staff is always pleasant and polite. The atmosphere is very laid back and the decor adds to a unique atmosphere that other hotels can't match. One of my favorite features are the large luxurious walk-in showers
Good Stay. Great Staff! Clean facility. Room is small but cute;bed lamps too low though-cant use bedside table. Breakfast was adequate; staff need better food handling skills, but very helpful in meeting needs. I will return.
I stayed at the GLO hotel by recommendation by the holiday inn express. The former hotel was sold out. The glo hotel smells fresh and offers great hospitality. Kelsei the greeter at the front desk also bartender was very welcoming.
Nice ,staff was friendly. I will definitely come back to stay agin, hot tub was a pleasure after along day. Modern ,new, small bar but enjoyed none the less. Wish it had a pool, easy access from the interstate plenty of restaurants near.
My Dallas family chose this hotel for our family reunion, MAy 24-27, 2019. Two family members checked into their rooms only to find other guests still in the room or checked into the room as well. This type of clerical mistake could have caused bodily harm or death to a person/family entering an occupied room unexpectantly. The first night children were screaming and jumping around until after 1 am in the room next door, the front desk clerk did go to the room twice and the manager compensated us for the inconvenience the next morning. The Best Western Desoto in Mansfield, LA called me the next day and asked me if I still wanted my room reservation. I told the clerk I did not have a room reservation at their location, I was at the Glo Best Western in Desoto, Tx. The clerk called me twice on my cell phone and become aggressive and accusatory and refused to reverse their charges on my card. The manager at the Texas location trying to intervene I had to cancel my charge card on a holiday weekend 1200 miles from home. The other location accessed my credit card information and made fraudulent charges. What kind of hotel brand/chain is this? I am so infuriated and frustrated. I have NEVER had this happen to me at any other hotel brand. I even contacted the corporate office and filed a claim/complaint and one month later I have heard from NO ONE. Don't stay at Best Western, a good deal could cost you. Our family will never stay at this brand EVER again.
Loved it nice clean rooms a mini bar plus hot tub and gym definitely coming back shower area was clean and housekeeping is quick and efficient staff is very helpful and a variety of Televison channels
Environment is nice, the staff is nice and friendly, they keep the space clean and organized , all glasses clean and artsy, the beer tap is fresh and potent very nice and dark . The menu is easy to read and plain and simple
Walked into the property not knowing it was part of the Best Western family. Got a free beer just for leaving this review! I drive a semi and they have room if you get here early enough, I'll be back.
We came with a large group and booked several rooms. Even though the rooms are nice, a couple of us experienced theft of valuables by the maid service. Complaints were not immediately taken into consideration, and even though the do not disturb sign was outside the door, video footage showed a maid and a maintenance person go into those rooms.
Fantastic Hotel! Easy off freeway, easy back on freeway! Wonderful staff, great rooms! My experience with night clerk ( after a long, horrible travel day) was like talking with a great friend! She made me laugh, which I really needed to end my day!! The rooms are really nice!! If you get a chance to stay at a GLO Hotel, do it!!!!
First time there, but impressed. The location is so-so...that is, convenient to Dallas but there's nothing to walk to from the property. Still, if you need to do business in DeSoto, Lancaster, or up to Downtown Dallas, it's quite convenient. Front desk staff was exceptional in manner and service.
This place is great. Staff was best I've encounter in a long time. True customer service. The room was spacious and clean. I love the modern look! Breakfast was yummy and everything was the right temperature. I had no issues and this place changed my thoughts about Best Western hotels. A new standard was set!
I spent 25 nights in the hotel, i enjoyed every second of it, the staff was amazing, i would definitely come back and would totally recommend them to anyone. Shannen Godfrey is awesome and very ginuinely caring.
we stayed here in March 2019. The hotel is new and beautiful. they don't accept pets but the room was fantastic. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was great and the hot tub was so relaxing. The cost was reasonable as well. I recommend this hotel to everyone traveling through Desoto, TX.
Last summer while traveling in this area I saw this property being built. I like the new GLO presence. It is a positive step in the positive to catch up with other major hotels. I like the new concept. The rooms are fresh looking with design and colors. Makes it hard to stay in a standard BW property now. No GLO's in my home area.
It was chill, me and my husband celebrated or 10th wedding anniversary. Slept there after our renewal , staycation. Overall, it was really nice. I loved the shower and the decor was very upscale. Good job!
Everything was great with the 24 hour spa n weight room. The rooms are extremely nice n cozy n the lobby n bar area is great. The workers were very nice n polite. No microwave in room but you had access to the one in the lobby. It was great.
This hotel style is definitely designed for the New Millennium or Contemporary traveler. As you enter the lobby/ community area you'll find it refreshing and clean. Shiny floor tile and the smell of freshly baked cookies that sit on top of the front desk for guest. There is a bar in the lobby with a nice selection of alcohol and beer. The bar stools are soft and comfortable. There is no pool. However there is a 25 person hot swim tub, this is somthing new. It is large and rectangular surrounded by the appearance of bamboo to create shade and part sun. It appear to be inside the hotel but in reality its actually outdoors. There is a comfortable area with lounge chairs of various styles and cocktail tables which sit along the rear of the swim hot tub. It's amazing. The decor through the hotel has bright vivid colors. Every area is large and spacious; the lobby, breakfast area, sitting community area, bedrooms, bathrooms, workout room and laundry room. The bedrooms has different designs and colors on the shades and walls. No room is the same. The bed was pillow top and pillows were large and fluffy. The sheets were a good grade, nice and smooth and complemented by a nice blanket and comforter. The floors are hard wood and the bathrooms has 2 sliding entry doors, one on each end of the massive bathroom. His as her sinks and plenty of room to maneuver around. The lights can give you the day brightness or a cool slumber evening lighting. Very nice. Lots of shelving and seats to sit my things. More space and areas to put my things on than the average hotel. There was even an armoire with drawers if needed. The breakfast was outstanding. There was a large spread of fresh food and fruits. Plenty of drinks. You could make your own coffee and hot chocolate. Different jucies were available. I liked that there was a choice of two different meats. Also sasuage, potato and pepper chorizo, with corn, grain or flour tortillas for a great breakfast burrito. Of course there were traditional waffles, toast, oatmeal (brown sugar optional), homestyle potatoes. Also boiled, scramble or omelette eggs beautifully aligned the center of the buffet. Cold milk /cereal was there too. Danishes, donuts, muffins (also english) biscuits & gravey played a big role in the spread as well. It was awesome. The lighting and vibe in the dinning room made breakfast up beat and energetic. This hotel style ( The Glo) is different from any other Best Western. It really sets a new wave era. Price was worth the stay. Clean and friendly professional staff. Highly recommended. We will be back.
I really enjoyed my stay. The beds were amazing!! Overall-Very clean. I loved all the different furniture and unique light fixtures. :-) The staff at the GLO were very nice and gave detailed information about their hotel. They really wanted us to feel welcomed. Full hot breakfast with full fitness area and heated pool. I will definitely stay here again. 5 star rating!!
A different kind of Best Western is tech oriented but seems more like minimalism! No carpeting, very spartan rooms. very bland though high use of bright complimentay colors. Hot tub outside, seems squeezed into a patio space. Staff was hard working and attentive but hotel has a cold bare feeling.
The staff at the GLO is very outstanding! Their friendliness, cleanliness, professionalism and great rates goes a long way with me. Everytime I come to town I stay at the GLO. This is my home away from home!
I love this hotel. It's comfortable and classy. The staff are helpful and friendly. I like places that I can depend on each time I visit. I know my stay will be nice if I stay here. I would like for the price to go down a bit and a rug on the floor because there are none but I still like this hotel. Yes I will stay again.
This last 5 days have been a pleasure. I was in Dallas under bad circumstances, my dad is critically ill at VA. The staff was unbelievably welcoming and accommodating. The sweet lady at the front desk, Shay, even called to check on me. The housekeeping staff was so pleasant and was so thoughtful. The managers were fabulous and really went out of their way to help me in any way they could. Breakfast was so good and the area was very clean and stayed stocked! I will go out of my way to stay at the Glo.
Checking into Gloves was warm and I was greeted with open arms. Overall my night was peaceful and the beds were so very comfortable. Location of hotel was convenient to restaurants and department stores.
I chose GLo to stay due I saw it was a newer construction, close to the proximity of where I needed to be and it advertised a full hot breakfast. The room was very nice but the bathroom setup is awkward. It has a sliding mirror door which when open it closes the closet. It did not have a lock on it so you would assume someone was in the bathroom if it was closed. The beds are very comfortable and clean. The room had a flat screen tv, mini fridge and microwave. There's a lot of road noise from the windows but didn't hear anything from the hallway. The breakfast wasn't great. The eggs were only eatable with a lot of salsa. They had pan sausage and no bacon. They had two waffle makers but one was broken. They had ingredients to add to your waffles, yogurt or oatmeal if preferred. The bread and donuts were stale. Overall the hotel was a nice setup and location, close to plenty of restaurants and shopping. I would probably stay here again if needed.
New brand for Best Western, and I wanted to check it out during a recent business trip to the area. Although new, the staff was very accommodating and seemed to be very excited about the property. I found the room to be very well appointed and offered everything necessary, including a great work space and sitting area. The amenities were especially nice, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Overall, I would recommend the property for business, but because it doesn't have a pool, I'm not sure if this would be the best choice for family travel. I had an early departure, so I didn't really get to experience the breakfast, but the space seemed to be quite enjoyable.
I'm a diamond BW member and stay over 100 night's a year in them. Had a family visit in Fort Worth so I used 20k points to try this property cause it said it had an indoor pool. We arrived late but the Desk lady let us go for a swim anyway. Daughter was so sad... It's a 8x12 hot tub, not a pool. The room was small like a micro hotel. I liked the no carpet for cleanliness but it makes the floor noisy when people walk. also the sink is cool looking and worked for me but my 10 year old daughter could not use it because it was too tall. I liked the roll down black out curtains bit the door gap allows allot of light in. I liked the overall appearance of the hotel but to me it did NOT measure up to the price. Breakfast was the same ole stuff but at least they did have omlets. I'd most likely skip and gonon to a BW Plus next time.
Nice appearing hotel. Breakfast was way less than par. Food empty. People had to keep asking for them to refill everything. Bagels stale. Cold eggs. Gross oatmeal. The breakfast attendant made the comment there were too many people. (Isn't that what you want? A booked hotel??) Other than that it was an okay stay. We typically stay with the Marriott chain and those seem above this.
What a fabulous place to stay just outside of Dallas! We experienced probably the best hotel staff we ever encountered - all were friendly, helpful and efficient. The sales manager even went out of her way to provide gluten free and dairy free items for breakfast. There's a good exercise room, a hot tub and a bar. And everything is new and modern! Good job, Glo!
The room was very small and cozy. The bed was extremely comfortable. I enjoyed the blinds, it was daylight outside but once you close the blinds you would think it was nighttime by the darkness. Very comfortable stay.
This hotel is a very new, clean and beautiful hotel just south of Dallas. Our family was treated very warmly and professionally here. We slept very well in the comfortable beds. I really loved the fact that there is no carpet in the room. It was so much cleaner. The showers were large and had a huge rain-shower type fixture. There were more than 10 USBs in the room which my teens loved. The breakfast area was bright and modern and the breakfast staff was super accommodating and pleasant. Every attempt to make us happy was made by the staff. There is a beautiful spa area and work out room which I toured, but did not get to use due to the brevity of our stay. The rooms were also quiet. The hotel is very easy to find. They even have electric car fueling stations and a bright, well-lit parking lot. I recommend you stay here. You will love it
This hotel is beautiful and contemporary. The ambiance is amazing. The staff is professional, kind and extremely accommodating. The rooms are very nice as well. I love this place and would recommend it to everyone.
I love this place. The staff was friendly and the rooms were great! I only got to stay one night but I would love to stay for an extended period of time. I didn't get to eat the breakfast but I plan on doing so when I stay again. I will definitely be staying again. As a matter, of fact I already have another reservation.
So I stayed here for 4 nights and it was great, all of the staff were friendly, the rooms are ample sized, not too big but not to small. Uber Eats Delivers here with no issues, The room was clean, modern and new. I think the tv's are maybe 50" tvs... They are HUGE. Internet was stable and breakfast seemed good, I didn't eat it but it looked like it had a lot of choices.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice and spacious with very comfortable beds. The lobby area was spacious and comfortably furnished. Breakfast had a good variety as well. Looking forward to trying the bar options next time. Definitely will be back. Thanks for a pleasant stay.
Amazing customer service, impeccably clean rooms, beautiful interior design, excellent continental breakfast, and is in the perfect location near many restaurants and shopping. I will definitely make this my go to lodging every time I visit the Dallas area for business or leisure.
This hotel was more than what i expected...Brandon and his staff was very nice and very helpful throughout my stay the room was comfortable and clean and i would say hands down this is the BEST hotel Desoto has to offer
