"Good location, very friendy staff."

We checked in quit early, which was no problem at all according to the very friendly and humorous desk lady (sorry, forgot her name). She gave us a great room, 10 yards from the beautiful indoor pool, and 15 yards from the very good breakfast buffet. The room was huge, clean and had a very comfortable King bed. Lost of shops and restaurants in walking distance (try Jackson Square Grill), coud'nt be better. All the staffmembers were very friendly and helpfull. Would definitly stay here again.

Stayed at this BW for 5 days for a trip, and had the best experience. Rooms are huge. Very clean, even has that clean scent/smell to it. The free breakfast is fantastic (don't miss out). The staff is even better, they work as a great team. Seriously, great place!

"Rate Changes and arguing GM"

Would not recommend this hotel since the General Manager engaged in insulting and changing rates as she pleased. Booked online on Best Western and when I get to check out my rate changed by the GM for charges that I am not even aware of. Called Customer care and they seemed to be less helpful and so I have initiated to contact the Chief Operating Officer David Kong of Best Western International for resolution on this problem.

Great place, good breakfast. Very spacious room, great layout- very functional for business or a small family. We enjoyed being able to walk to all the surrounding restaurants. Having a refrigerator/microwave in the room was great also. Very good deal for the money!

We stayed here for two nights along with multiple family members and friends for my daughter's wedding. The staff was very helpful in accommodating our needs and dealing with last minute change in room needs. The breakfast was hot and had a variety of food items. The rooms were clean and I enjoyed an extra large king room so that we were able to have guests visit to our rooms.

"Clean, big room"

Terrance Welch at the desk was excellent. He fixed my tv in a minute.I just pulled into the parking lot after 15 hours of driving and got lucky with this one. Service and breakfast was excellent. They had an indoor pool and laundry on site. Two deer came up to our room to say hi.

We stayed here to be near the hospital. It's minutes away. Very clean and neat property. Nothing fancy but very functional Drive up rooms but we felt safe. We were in the very back building in an over large room with couch and chairs. Super comfortable beds .Looks recently updated. Quiet area even though it's in a busy part of town. Didn't have time to take advantage of the indoor heated pool but it looked nice . Breakfast was good , all you could ask for ! Front desk lady on the 22nd a.m. was exceptionally kind to my mom !

Would highly recommend this hotel. We chose it because of the indoor pool. The pool and area were clean and the pool was heated. We enjoyed it very much. There was a nice hot breakfast provided in the lobby area which was very clean and nice. The breakfast attendant was wonderful and made sure everything was adequately stocked. All of the staff was very welcoming, attentive, and helpful. The room was very spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of pillows provided. The hotel was right near restaurants and other activities. You could walk to several restaurants right next door. Overall very good experience and highly recommended.

The check in/out process was very easy. A long hold for incidental hold but i guess that's a company policy. Overall it was great. Buffet style breakfast with a full bar, it's great. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was fabulous. The room was incredibly spacious and very clean. Comfortable beds and good quality pillows and bedding made for an excellent night's sleep and there was no noise to be heard at all. Breakfast was good and offered a wide choice of hot and cold items. For dinner choices, there are a multitude of options all within just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel - Lost Pizza, Longhorn Steakhouse, Peppers, Buffalo Wild Wings etc. Overall we were extremely happy with our stay and would definitely recommend to others.

The staff at this location are very pleasant especially the Assistant Manager!! The breakfast was good but would recommend possibly looking into getting 2 waffle machines. There are no elevators at this location. I was expecting an indoor hotel but the rooms were outside.

We stayed 3 nights the room was comfortable and the bed was reasonably comfortable. Motel is a little dated, but was very clean. We were worried about noise, but we were pleasantly pleased with how quiet it was.

Alarm for room next door woke me up before 5 am. Front desk blamed the fact that room was adjoining. Well, then don't assign adjoining. Rooms are nicely remodeled. Bed comfortable. Was given handicapped room. High toilet.

Older styled property with room doors to the outside, but well cared for & updated. Good value for us. Would recommend to others. Was a little concerned when the lobby was locked & we had to communicate with the clerk through the hole in the window. But no trouble while we were there.

Old and run down. Rooms in need of general maintenance and overhaul. Staff was friendly. Road noise was excessive. Pull out sofa was inadequate and staff “ran out of linens” which is simply not acceptable. Will not return.

Between the cleanliness, security, staff, and breakfast, I would challenge anyone to find a better spot in Columbus than this one. I'm thru here ever 6 months for 911 service testing for cell phone towers. I travel all over from I-20 north to Tennessee border. Believe me, after 221 average days on the road a year, when I say I wish every place was this nice to come back to at the end of the day. Their breakfast is homemade. The quality, and cleanliness of the breakfast is a strong link in this chain of professionally managed property.You aren't just number. They truly care.

The only problem I had was the lady at the front desk wasn't very nice at check in. She wasn't considerate at all that I didn't want a smoking room I only took it because it said that's all that was available. When I arrived my room wasn't clean but there were other rooms that were! She still wouldn't let me have a different room. Then I had to go by medicine due to sleeping in a smoking room, and sanitizers to help with the odor! I ask for a bottom floor room and also an end unit upon booking and got neither. My only complaint was the check in lady! Nice hotel other employees were awesome! Will stay again and will recommend to others!

We stayed here for the State Bama game. Got a great rate for Veterans. Hotel was clean, staff friendly and by far the best free breakfast buffet ever! There is a shuttle for $10pp to go to the games that Columbus Visitors Bureau operates. Worth every penny. Be aware that the sofa bed is by request only. Since I didn't know that I didn't request. My 23 wasn't keen on sharing a bed with my 7 year old but since they were so tired after the game it wasn't the worst thing. But I did wish we had known.

"Equipment in Exercise Room and Room Cost"

Both the treadmill and TV did not work in exercise room. There was a drastic increase in room cost due, almost double, to ballgame in adjacent town. I call this price-gouging. The breakfast was very good compared to other hotels.

"Not What We Expected"

For what we paid, our stay at this hotel was less than satisfactory. This was basically a motel room with a let-out couch. The first room did not have a working door lock so we could not get in. The second room was so humid that the sheets were wet to the touch. We felt gross after being in there for only ten minutes so I asked to switch rooms. The last room was OK (missing bulbs in lamp and broken iron). The customer service was really good. Every issue we had was addressed in a timely manner. The problem was just with the amount of issues we had in a 24 hour period. I would not stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable and staff was very friendly to our family. The real bargain is the breakfast not just the ordinary juice and Danish but hot biscuits and gravy along with sausage, fried potatoes, eggs, waffles, bacon and not just variety but good tasting home cooked food. Could not ask for any better at this price point

Very helpful staff, I actually make a mistake with my booking, and they sorted it out without any drama. Check in and check out was smooth with very friendly staff that made us feel welcome. They were close to many restaurants and the also have a nice swimming pool.

The quality for the price is exceptional. My room was larger than expected. The materials used were above others. I already told others and highly recommend the hotel. I was there for my nephew's Air Force Pilot Training Graduation.

Our family was visiting our son at CAB, traveling with 4 adults and 2 children. The room was spacious, modern, and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful all around. The GM actually checked us in and was so personable. Breakfast was better than the standard continental and the breakfast hostess was pleasant and attentive. Great trip thanks to our experience at the hotel, no worries and no stress!

This a nice place to stay. The full breakfast was delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable. I was very disappointed to find in our "No Smoking" room some stale cigarette butts crushed in the corner of the nightstand, along with a partial box of Zyrtec D. I found this as we were checking out. I made pictures and reported it to the front desk clerk. She stated she was just filling in but would let management know and I could call them on Monday. I did email the manager, voicing my concerns. Just a little concerned now about the housekeeping practices.

The cost of the room was very much in line and less than what you might expect. There was great access to local restaurants several just outside of the parking lot of the hotel. I love outside rooms but most of the hotels with outside rooms have declined but this one is it top shape.

This BW is the best I have stayed in. It's in a convenient location, close to restaurants and Wal-Mart. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast is great. There's a wide variety of choices, including a full hot breakfast bar.

Great town with nice places to eat and shop! I was there on business but we had time to browse downtown. The people were very friendly and restaurants were perfect. The hotel was very comfortable, clean, smelled nice and was safe for female travelers.

I can only speak for room 301 which is the room in which we stayed. Love the size of the room. The furnishings were great because we had family visit and the sectional sofa and chair gave everyone a place to sit. What didn't I love -- the beds - they were so hard neither of us could sleep on them (and we tried both beds in the room). We got very little sleep. What could have been better -- the lighting was dim and the TV didn't have any of the channels we normally watch. Also note - the hotel is on the main thoroughfare and there is no traffic light at the entrance, nor are you connected through the parking lots to other businesses where you could get to a traffic light. Traffic was frequently bumper to bumper and you couldn't get out onto traffic very easily.

I have stayed at the hotel several different times, most of the time for 4 days at a time. The staff is always very professional and courteous. The only point of concern for me is the tv in the breakfast area if often set on sports for the morning. Being that we are traveling I would prefer to see the local weather, traffic and new so I could better plan my day.

Service was unbearably horrendous. Communication on bill payment were never the same from person to person causing undue aggravation. Found a cockroach in the pool area in which the employee was absolutely no help and didn't care. The next day there was a pigeon in the pool area to which the same employee said, "yes this happens a lot. it will eventually leave" To which I had to get the bird out myself just so my son could swim. Even after all of the aggravation, at no time did anyone apologize or even offer any solutions, credit, or sympathy. This is totally unacceptable practice in customer service industry.

Mr. Tim; We do apologize for any misunderstanding during your visit at our property and per our conversation you booked your reservation through a third party which required full payment at the time of your booking and your card was charged and apologized to you because it was not booked directly with us. The bug that your are speaking of as explained with an apology was a Palmetto bug which is very common in the south especially during dry times. As posted at the pool area guest are asked not to open windows because it is easy for birds to fly in and apologized to you for your inconvenience and the bird was removed. Hotel refused to accommodate breakfast time as little as 5 minutes when the breakfast was available. There was no guest access to the lobby and guests had to wait outside until exactly 5:30. The guest only access door was also locked until exactly 5:30 and when the manager was asked to accommodate the guests they just stated it was their policy with no further explanation.

Our property has a very early breakfast to accommodate those leaving before 6 a.m. We have request to even open earlier than 5:30 am and unfortunately, we will not be able to. In preparing fresh food and clean up to make presentable to guest entering lobby; 5:30 am is the earliest. We do provide grab to go at the desk area for those that are not able to share in the breakfast. Our property is exterior and it does close at 10 p.m. as stated at desk and we advise each guest of the lobby closing time and opening. Our staff is available at desk 24 hours. Again, we do apologize.

This was my third stay the this hotel. Since my last stay in February they have updated the rooms. I was completely happy with this hotel. Staff is friendly and the rooms are nice. "Rude Service"

I have traveled for business and pleasure during the course of my 70 years and was socked by the attitude of the hotel employee in talking to my traveling friend while obtaining a room. If it had not been so late I would have gone on down the road. My teenage grandson asked to use the restroom during this time but was told he could not unless he was a registered guest. What kind of hospitality is this! I had to pay $10.00 extra for breakfast because of there was three of us sharing the room. Before leaving in the morning I got a coffee and a little to eat but was first asked my room number and the name of my spouse. Maybe they thought I was a bum looking for a free meal. Really unbelievable. This franchise needs some training in people skills. The hotel only had a few guest form observing the number of cars present. Gee there maybe a good reason for that.

In order to keep our rooms cost efficient and liability purpose we do card our breakfast and pool area as advised at check-in it is posted at the breakfast and pool area. For the safety of our guest as well as our staff we do ask that for each guest room number. There is a charge for additional people that are invited by our guest to the breakfast area. We have had people come in that were not registered trying to use the breakfast area and children without adult supervision swimming in the pool area saying they just thought it was free. From my experience most guest appreciate us doing that. Our organization does contribute to UNITED WAY and has volunteered with HABITAT for HUMANITY to assist those that are less fortunate and those programs we refer people to if they come to our property in need of assistance. We do apologize for any inconvenience and hope this does not prevent you from staying at BEST WESTERN's.

In all my years of staying at different hotels, I have never had a check-in experience as bad as this one, and pray that I never will again. After having an extremely stressful day, and being involved in an accident on the highway, me and my family were more than ready to get some much needed rest. Upon walking into the hotel, we were greeted by a gentleman front desk clerk who was incredibly nasty towards me and my family. I figured that this situation could be remedied by speaking to a manager, but to my dismay, even the manager was extremely rude towards me. The only thing that could possibly be the saving grace for this hotel, is the quality of their rooms and breakfast.

Poor inadaquate service. Contacted manager and she was rude and argumentative. Key cards did not work on two different occasions, room service terrible and breakfast service had milk in a glass container that was refilled without being washed out. You would ask, "How do I know?" When you leave door open as you refill bar this is what you see. No apology, and nothing was resolved at that moment. Took several calls to customer service to clear this matter.

My family and I were in town for a couple of nights and needed a reasonably priced hotel to crash. To our surprise this place was definitely a diamond in the rough. We had 3 rooms and all of them were HUGEMONGOUS!!! Honestly, if we'd known they were so big we would've only gotten two. LOL!! Needless to say our stay was great. Wi-fi took some time to work, the breakfast was good, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. We had a nice time and I'd choose Best Western again any day.

Absolutely wonderful, accommodating, friendliest staff. They went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable! I stayed at this hotel for 11 days. My room was always cleaned and my requests attended to promptly. The area has many restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel!

Rude reservation staff, cancelled my reservation 72 hours before my arrival, because that is when they run you debit or credit card, yes, 72 HOURS BEFORE you arrive. My debit card had been breached earlier in the week so it was declined. No call even though they say they did, and certainly no voice mail. Room smelled of urine, GROSS! I had to be the maintenance man and fix the toilet. Management said it would be 8am before someone would be in to fix it. Were we supposed to just keep using it and wait??? Not nearly enough towels available for swimming guests. you see plenty locked in a room but the night clerk could not access them. were told we had to leave the lobby at 10 because she had to lock up. My advise is never ever book here. stay in the next available town if no other rooms are available.

Our soccer team booked this hotel well in advance and it was still unable to meet our needs. We booked the two queen suite to accommodate three adults and a child and were told they were out of linens for the sofa bed. They were also unable to provide more than three towels for the four of us. The breakfast buffet was awful and poor stocked and maintained. Only one of our keys worked. The wifi was so slow we just didn't use it. The location was good and walking distance to restaurants. But we will look for other accommodations in the future.

Room was very clean, not a noisy location. Bed was comfy, a little on the soft side. Didn't make it down for breakfast in the morning. Walked next door to a Buffalo Wild Wings for late dinner. Next morning continued on our trip to Destin, FL down Hwy 45. Didn't make it down for breakfast in the morning.

Room was about what I expect for the price. Beds were very comfortable. TV had plenty of channels and worked fine. We also had comfortable seating area in room. I did not use the indoor pool, but went to look at it. It looked very nice. Pool room was warm, so I'm guessing the water was heated. Breakfast was good and lady in charge of breakfast was friendly. All staff we encountered were smiling and spoke to us. Cons: Young lady on staff during check-in was new and did not know how to handle a reservation paid with points and also had a hard time getting printer to work. She had to call someone to help her over the phone. Someone should have been with her to help handle her and my frustration. I don't blame her; I blame the manager. On another subject, walls were extremely thin and we could hear the people in the next room very clearly. Also, bathroom was TINY. Door barely missed hitting the toilet when opened. Sink and vanity were outside bathroom.

This is a older hotel but it is well maintained and managed. Everything works in the rooms. Rooms are clean, plenty of towels and supplies. Beds are pretty comfortable too. This is my go to hotel in Columbus.

Stayed here for 2 months while I was working in Columbus, and looking for an apartment. The hotel staff was friendly every single time that I went to the front desk. The maid staff was very friendly when I seen them. They did a great job cleaning my room every day. The rooms are newly renovated so they have a modern look to them. It's the nicest Outdoor Best western that you will stay in. Highly recommend it.

"Not my favorite experience as of late..."

On a cool, rainy evening in February the last thing I was anticipating having to do was to walk from my parked car to the lobby with my bags only to find out that I was booked into a room in the satellite building. This meant hauling my bags back to the car after check in and then out again and up to my room. It'd also help of the 2nd floor numbers were larger or llluminated to see from the ground in the dark. All that aside, the suite room was updated, spacious, fairly clean and comfortable although the pillows and towels both left something to be desired. A few other noticeable negatives was the unfriendly appearance of the bath fan, some orange-ish colored mildew in the shower, the shower head spraying water out the back of it and the lack of regular coffee with technology in room coffeemaker. On the positive side the service and expansive breakfast were both quite good. Overall my experience was okay and it certainly was nice the the Buffalo Wild Wings was right next door. I think I'd stay again but would prefer a room in the main building with a little bit more attention to tell details in the room. A good value in the hotel market in this day and age, decent with a little room for improvement. I'd consider staying again.

I stayed here for two nights for a mini vacation. The hotel was very nice, rooms were clean, breakfast was great, pool was clean and everyone was so nice. The manager name is Sharon. She made sure we were comfortable and that everything was alright during our stay. I will be staying here again. Great hotel to choose.

I travel constantly and this was the nicest Best Western that I have stayed at in Mississippi. Everything was clean, the staff was wonderful and friendly, the breakfast was great and the grounds were clean and I felt safe in this area.

I stay at this hotel only. I have tried most of the rest and i find this one the best for me for the money. Great staff and management. The breakfast is good but the buffet is hard to access some items in the back pans. Hint hint.

We were looking for a hotel in Columbus that had an indoor pool for our 4 kids to swim in while we stayed the night. This was the only hotel we could find that did. I was a bit skeptical because of the exterior corridors. (Not a big fan for safety reasons) But we booked it anyway and were very pleased. You can tell this hotel was recently updated and they did a great job with the renovations! We stayed in a double queen suit and couldn't believe the size of the room!!! It was huge!!! It even had an "L" shaped sectional couch that pulled out into a bed. The room was spotless and the linens smelled fresh! The room had everything you needed and the TV had 100's of channels, including all the HBO channels! My family of 6 and I travel a lot and this was the most comfortable room we have ever stayed in. The room was so big the kids even played "tag" before bed. The indoor pool was a perfect size and temp for the kids to play and swim in! On top of all the other positives this hotel offers, the staff was extremely nice and helpful! Everyone we spoke to wore a smile and had the eagerness to help! Their hot breakfast was good too! They have everything to start your day off great! My only complaint is that we stayed in, what I'm assuming is an addition to the hotel. It was across the parking lot from the main building. Not really a big deal, except for the fact it was raining during our stay. So unless we wanted to pile everyone in the car to get from the main building to ours, we had to walk across the parking lot in the rain. Not really a big deal, because the other positives outweighed that one negative! We really enjoyed our stay and plan to return the next time we visit Columbus!

Stayed in an Executive Suite, pleased with room updates and size of room. I would recommend this hotel for someone needing to stay in the area. This hotel met my expectations despite the no immediate water in fitness room.

"Discourteous hotel staff!"

I made a reservation at the end of July for Oct. 24. I reserved a room online using my credit card. Three days before my arrival, I was called by the hotel manager and told that the credit card I used to reserve the room was invalid. When I offered to give her a different credit card number, she told me the reservation had been cancelled and there were no rooms available. I was not even given the opportunity to use a different credit card to hold my reservation. I have never stayed at this property before, and because of this experience, I will never stay here in the future! I know for certain that other hotel chains will courteously allow you to change your credit card information if there is a problem so that you will not be inconvenienced with having to find another hotel at the last minute!

On behalf of our entire staff I want to apologize for any inconvenience. At the time of booking your reservation required full payment and unfortunately, the card did not go through. I, Sharon Jones, Manager called and left a message advising how long we could hold the room until we heard from you and sent an email and it was pass the time allowed. We hold each room in good faith that the card is good in order not to lose revenue on the room for those needing to book and give a courtesy call as well as email to give guest giving an opportunity within a certain time frame to change cards. Again, any inconvenience to you we do apologize

Clean rooms and solid service. Originally wanted to stay right off Hwy. 82 in newer hotels, but they were booked. Happen to find this Best Western just 2-3 minutes away and because of the location and it's being right next to restaurants and shopping, we just walked and never had to get back in the car to find something.

This is the second time my wife and I have stayed in this motel and we most likely will stay again if we are in the area. The staff is second to none, the rooms are nice and the breakfast is very good. Sharon, the Manager, is absolutely terrific!! We certainly would recommend this motel.

"Great small town hotel"

When staying in a small town hotel my expectations are usually low, but this hotel could compete in larger cities. The rooms have recently been renovated and have all the amenities of higher end hotels. If you need to stay in Columbus this is a great place to stay.

Excellent, nice hotel. Staff very friendly. I stay at this hotel every time I travel to Columbus. Highly recommend this hotel. The room is very comfortable and affordable. Good hotel for the money. Always have a good experience.

The staff is always very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are very clean, everything works as it should. You are always treated with kindness. The breakfast is pretty good too. This trip i was the first one to use a band new air conditioner. Man let me tell it worked great.

This hotel is clean, the rooms are clean and plenty of room the relax, the staff is very friendly, Michelle Harris, the front desk clerk is great, she's friendly, helpful and she has an awesome personality. The free breakfast was good and hot. I will stay there again the next time I'm in that area.

"Good place to stay"

Clean room; nice staff. Great for a one night stay. Lobby was locked upon late arrival; however, staff greeted us through glass window. Made me fee a little uneasy about our safety. Overall experience was excellent. Will stay there again.
