"Pretty good, with a few caveats"

The hotel was clean and reasonably comfortable and breakfast was good for this price point. The layout is 'old style' with a long building and all (or mostly) outside entry rooms only. We were put in a room that was very far from the ice/vending and the lobby, where the breakfast is served. Our TV was not working. The lights in the bath area were on timers, so it was not possible to leave one on during the night. Night staff not particularly friendly, but morning staff very friendly.

I stayed here for a one night stay while in town and it was a great deal for the inexpensive price you pay. The room was small but had everything you could need, including a fridge and microwave. The room was very clean and the hotel staff was friendly. The breakfast offered was nice with a lot of variety and well stocked. Would definitely recommend for a quick, inexpensive stay!

Great location to interstate, but quiet; clean well appointed rooms, helpful staff. We have stayed here for past 3 years on way south/north every 6 mos. Highly recommend. Also, pet friendly (and still clean!)

"The customer service is the worst!"

The customer service is the worst! We came to visit family and chose this hotel due to its' #1 ranking, though it was further away than the hotel we've stayed at before. We don't know how it achieved the top rating, but our experience was not good when we stayed there and worse after dealing with the manager! Though I didn't write the manager until 4 months after we were there (due to medical troubles and "life"), I had taken meticulous notes while there and used them to compose the letter. My daughter and I had various issues in our 4 night stay and I included most of them in the letter. But, the main problems were with 4 workers who gave consistent poor customer service. They just didn't seem to care. One example is when I called the desk to ask if there were towels at the pool, I was told "I don't know." He wasn't willing to find out either. Another main issue was that after sleeping just four hours our first night, the smoke alarm began beeping and kept me up the rest of the night! When I complained in the morning, they said the maintenance man would take care of it. We were told by him that he took the battery out / disabled it, but will take care of the issue after we leave "since he knows we won't be starting any fires in the room"! Without my husband with us, I felt somewhat intimidated and didn't make a huge deal of it then, though I should have. This man was the only "nice" worker we encountered, even though I feel he didn't handle our smoke alarm issue properly. There was a huge bug in the bathroom one night (either a cockroach or a beetle). I grabbed my phone and took a picture to show the staff in the morning. They didn't even want to see it. Then, my white blouse got ruined due to some dark gunk that came out of the iron when I was ironing it. The breakfast was ok at best. But, the way we were treated by three desk personnel and the lady handling breakfast was so unprofessional. We never had wifi the entire time we were there! I complained several times to the various desk workers, but they were never helpful. When I wrote the letter to the manager, I did it with the thought that if I was the manager, I would want to know if my employees were treating customers as we were treated. To my shock, the manager responded and ignored all the employee customer service issues I listed, told me that "you have to watch the settings on an iron or you will burn your blouse", that the battery had to be replaced or it would have kept beeping, and insulted me with "I am sorry for the experience you had. I will give you 20% off one night when you COME BACK and 500 points." What a joke! You should make your own decision about whether to give this hotel your business, but, we will not return. The things that happened during our stay were bad enough, but the response from the manager was far worse! He took the complaints I had and turned them around on most of the issues. (like suggesting that I burned my blouse, saying that the battery couldn't have been removed and not replaced as it would have continued beeping, and that they didn't have others complaining of wifi issues during this time, like we must not have had trouble if others didn't or didn't report it). I hope this review is helpful to you and that you can find a nice hotel with excellent customer service and a manager who truly cares about your stay!

It was very clean and the people were very nice. The breakfast was awesome. The beds very comfortable. Really nest how they have shampoo and conditioner hanging in the showers in case you forget to bring yours.

This hotel is more like a throwback motel, but much better. Room was small, but had everything we needed. Clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast. Don't let the proximity to the interstate fool you, we had a quiet room. The price was very reasonable. Great location for restaurants, shopping, downtown and easy access to the interstate.

Clean, comfortable and friendly. Dog friendly, with no problems. Easy access with a great Mexican Restaurant across the road. Senor Iguanas. Don't miss it. We stay here twice a year when traveling South and again back North. Highly recommend.

This is more like a motel...you park your car outside your room. The room was kind of small, but very clean and nicely furnished. The bed and linens were SO comfortable! I had a wonderful night's sleep. The parking lot was full, but it was quiet, at least in my room at the end of the building. This hotel is very convenient...right off the exit from I65, and it so close to downtown Louisville...just a 10 minute drive and much, much cheaper than the hotels there. It is also close to many stores and restaurants. There is a Golden Corral right next door that you could walk to if you wanted. But the hotel offers it's own free hot breakfast. Many choices and an eating area in the lobby. I actually took my plate of food back to my room because it was a little crowded, but that was fine. The shower and toilet area is separate from the sink and vanity area. The bathroom was neat and modern with shower gel/shampoo/conditioner dispensers on the wall. Again, everything was very clean and comfortable.

Wish I could give this one lower than 1 star. Booked a room only to find out they had oversold. They offered no help or apology - just told us to go elsewhere despite confirmed booking. The agent did not care - said he had to disappoint 19 people before us. My wife and I plus our three young children were forced to find another hotel at 11:00 in the evening - shame on their service or lack of it!!!!

"Hotel overbooked"

I reserved a room with 2 beds. The hotel overbooked so my husband and his friends are staying in a room with 1 bed. These are 3 adult men!! The hotel did discount the rate $50 but this doesn't make up for someone having to sleep on the floor.

Hello Erin, I want you to know that we always try to accomodate a guest whenever possible. Based on your review, I believe you have booked through a third party site and listed only two people in the room when you made the reservation. Booking engines like Expedia and Hotels.com sometimes overbook room types at hotels which is why they do not guarantee room types to their customers. This unfortunate scenario is the reason hotels ask guests to book directly. In the scenario that there was one person sleeping on the floor our front desk person should not have allowed your party to check-in because that goes against fire code. I will be reviewing with all the staff about how many guests should be allowed to check into each room type. I thank you for bringing this to my attention.

I have a family member in the Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. I was looking for a hotel that wasn't far away and I was willing to pay a little more to stay in a reputable hotel. I couldn't have asked for a cleaner or more comfortable room than I received. I have NO complaints there. I am upset at the fact I stayed at this hotel for two nights but my credit card was charged for three. I have emailed the hotel with no response; I have called the hotel several times and have been told that I will be contacted by the manager but I haven't been; I had a representative from my credit card company call and she was also told that they would have the manager call her back and that never happened either. I have even gone as far as to contact the Corporate Office of Best Western and gotten, yet again, no response. I made one last effort to call the hotel directly and was asked if I would email a copy of my credit card statement showing the overcharge to my card, which I did, and, once again, have gotten no response. I work in the banking/customer service arena so I am well aware of how I should treat customers that reach out to me for help. NEVER, EVER again Best Western. The room may have been great but the customer service by this hotel and your corporate office is lacking. It's sad that, even with proof that I reserved only two nights and was charged for three, I can't get anyone to help resolve my issue. If this happens to you, good luck getting your money back!!!

"Neat, clean, several restaurants within walking distance"

Stopped in, truck was being repaired, Daniel at the front desk, guy with long red beard extremely helpful and friendly got us checked in early, gave us a couple incredible restaurant selections rhat were spot on! Room was small, but clean, modern, it had everything we needed, plenty of hot water, heat and a/c worked. We utilized the small laundry room, 1 washer 2 dryers and they were CRAZY cheap...75 cents to wash and a buck to dry.. THAT was amazing, usually hotels jam you for about $3 a side.. this was great. I would definitely stay here again.

If by typing this review I save one person from having the experience I did, then I will be satisfied. Just checked out today, and will never stay here again, and will think long and hard about staying at a Best Western elsewhere. Management was incredibly rude. The microwave in my room didn't work and housekeeping failed to clean my room two of the 5 days. When I went to the front desk asking about these issues they said I had a dog in the room (which I did not), charged me a $75 pet fee and told me that if I continued to be a hassle there were other fees they would pursue charging me or that I would have to find another hotel to stay at. I was offered no alternative to the microwave and no explanination as to why my room was not cleaned. I was simply given a manager who yelled and was horribly condescending. We spend 30+ weekends a year in hotels traveling and never in my life have I encountered such horrible customer service. Never again!

At our property we maintain designated pet rooms to protect guests who are allergic to animals or sensitive to their smell. Staff at our property walked into your room and found a dog while you were not there. In addition, the carpet was covered in dog hair when you left which our maintenance team had to shampoo. At check-in we have all guests sign that they will not bring pets into non-pet friendly rooms. It is also the reason that your room was not serviced. We do maintain our policy on pets and unregistered guests but we apologize if you felt that our service was not up to par. We will work harder to exceed our guests expectations. I will have our maintenance team look at the microwave in your room and replace it if necessary.

This Best Western had nice clean updated rooms. I would have given it four stars if they had allowed me in the lobby area to get a cup of coffee prior to 6 AM. I am a truck driver and I like to start early sometimes. I stay in hotels four or five nights a week and most of them have 24 hour access to coffee.

This is a review from a visit back in March when I got married. Many of my family were staying at the hotel and my parents were having a tough time getting out of the room because of a three year old they were taking care of. My step-dad informed the front desk staff that they would be a little late, but still someone knocked on their door and rudely told them they needed to leave or they would be charged another night. Well, the hotel did charge an extra night only for some reason they charged it on MY card when they had my step-dad's on file. So I spent many phone calls between my mom and the hotel staff (on my honeymoon btw) trying to get this fixed. Every time they told me it would get fixed I had to call again because nothing was fixed. I believe my parents did end up getting charged a late fee (which they really shouldn't have - not for 30 minutes over especially after telling the front desk) but upon going back through my credit card statements, I realized that I was never fully refunded that amount. Lucky for the owners, I became exceedingly busy following my honey moon and was not able to follow-up and discover it hadnt been resolved in nearly a year later. Basically - they took money that wasn't earned because of poor management of their booking systems. And upon reading other reviews, it seems I am not the only one who had a similar experience that involved improperly charging a guest.

We were forced to wait in the car because a computer malfunction cancelled our prepaid room. It's February, it's cold outside and the lobby is closed! We've been waiting in the car for an hour already!! I'm on a work trip and got here at 130 am. It's 230 am now and we have to get up at 730. Unfortunately we can't just go to another hotel because this one is prepaid. Still waiting..

Enjoyed a short stay at this fairly priced and very clean hotel, just off the exit ramp. Was in the Louisville area for a event at the Kentucky Exposition Center, but found better prices just a few minutes over the river. fairly convenient no toll bridges nearby at the advise of friendly staff, for those more frugal visitors (me). Please to find rooms very clean and better than expected hot breakfast (for the price). Will be back if in the area!

There is absolutely no counter at the bathroom sink. Only a sink, with absolutely no where to place your toiletries except the floor. The front desk clerk is very unfriendly, and switched our room from a reserved king to two queens without telling us.

This is a very nice, clean motel. The breakfast had an excellent variety of hot and cold choices, although my husband was disappointed that there was no Raisin Bran. My only issue was the pet fee which I felt was unusually excessive. Since I stay at motels frequently due to my dog hobby, I try to stay at good motels with either no or a flat fee for pets. This motel had a high per pet/per night fee. Due to that, I won't be staying here in the future.

Nice place, an older hotel that has been redone. No pool, at least not that I saw, but a nice little work out room & terrific breakfast. The room was recently remodeled with a super comfy memory foam mattress. No complaints, great value. If you need to stop over in this area, i recommend it...plus...Golden Corral, Iquanas, Logans and more right next door!

Very please with this hotel. The rooms are a little small but otherwise they are comfortable and clean. They also had a very decent breakfast for this type of hotel. More than just cold cereal and carbs. It's also close to several eating establishments and shopping. Also, super close to Louisville. I would stay at again.

Be very careful - watch your credit card statement. I booked through Expedia, and then discovered that the MOTEL also charged my credit card (provided for incidentals only). The manager of the hotel has assured me they will issue a credit to my credit card. She was apologetic, but I got the distinct feeling this was not the first time this had occurred. Buyer beware.

Stayed one nite following a concert at Yum Arena in Louisville. A reconditioned older motel. Very clean. Very comfortable bed. In front of your door parking. Good breakfast with a lot of variety. A little noisy in the morning when all the garbage trucks start backing up. I would go back.

Have stayed at many Quality Inn's over the years, this place exceeds them all. Looks modern and updated, all first floor access, well appointed room, out the door parking, could not have asked for more. Comfy bed, clean shower and a USA to fill the time. Great stay.

Check-in was quick and easy. The lobby was clean and comfortable, and had the breakfast area right there. Quite convenient for breakfast, and coffee and tea all day. The hotel is on one level with outside facing doors. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom sink was outside of the shower area so I could shave while my wife showered. The bed was probably the best one we have had in any hotel we have stayed Slept like a baby and woke refreshed.

We were quite surprised when our bus tour, Nationwide, selected this hotel for 49 people, many physically handicapped. It was difficult for many of our friends to walk to their rooms. Although the facilities are on 1 level, each of the rooms have outside entries & most doors have large gaps within their frames. We don't see many types of these “strip hotels”. It The employees need better training. On a positive note, the rooms & lobby were clean & attractive. The bathroom was tight & bad lighting.

This hotel is very clean. We have stayed here 4 times now and love it every time! There is so much to do around and places to see! There are many many restaurants to choose from right out the door! It takes minutes to cross the bridge and you are in Kentucky! I would recommend this hotel any time!

It was just a very nice experience. I just needed a comfortable bed and pillows. They were great. The room was spotless. The shower was great. It was close to the freeway which made it easy to get where I needed to go.

Went to stay at this location tonight after traveling the entire day. The room looked nice but shortly after we arrived we found ourselves crawling in fleas. I picked 5 or 6 off my legs from walking around our room and my wife had another 3 or 4 on her. We promptly checked out of the hotel as we are not dealing with fleas. If one room has them others likely do too. The front desk person said he would have a manager call us tomorrow as no one was available who could help. He also added that he couldn't understand why there would be fleas as its not a pet room, even though I gave him a cup with 3 live ones which he threw in the trash. Called Best Western directly as we were without a room. The representative said pretty much the same thing, we would have to wait until tomorrow to hear from the property manager. The only thing we could find at the local Kroger to treat our clothes requires us to wash them. So here we are an hour later just heading the 7 hours home because our stuff is likely infested with these fleas. Thanks Best Western for ruining our vacation. I will not be staying at any of your locations and will be spreading the word in regards to my experience. Very disappointed as this is not what I come to expect from them. Only thing good that came out of this is we also notified Priceline as they were the ones we booked with. The representative we spoke with was outstanding!

drove 10 hours to get to best western to find out that what we booked online was not for us when we arrived we had 6 rooms we were pissed off best western told us that it was there fault and found another bw another hour drive with no acknowledge of this being their fault with no sorry no price change for our trouble. not nice. but on the better side the place we went to was by far more secure and better place. the Clarksville location was not a good looking and secure place by the looks of it to stay. pretty bad area by the looks of it glad we had to move on

Booked a room with a king bed. The room was sized for a double bed, but a king bed was stuffed into it. Then a work table was added - had to crawl around it to get into bed. No room for more than 1 suitcase. Definitely not a king bed sized room. This is an older facility trying to compete with newer places.

I am actually a Travel agent who books Best Westerns a lot so I always like to try the product I use. I was very pleased with my stay here. It was so close to a lot of attractions in the Louisville area. The price of the hotel and the service we receive was by far worth the 15 minute drive to the attractions like Louisville slugger, Muhammad ails home, the cemetery, the night life at 4th street live or the Highlands, and some of the spots on the bourbon trail. A decently cheap Uber (which were all fabulous) was by far cheaper than a downtown hotel which would also charge parking. And when we decided to drive on our own many restaurants and shopping were very close by. We actually even walked to some.

This hotel has charged me a non-smoker $250 for smoking in the room. Never happened. Don't smoke. When I questioned the charge the then added another $178.00 claiming I trashed the room. If you call leaving the bed unmade them I guess I did it. The room was left in the same shape as when i checked in. Be ware of this scam at this Hotel.

Beds were comfortable. Free Breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed waffles with fruit and sausage on available biscuits. The coffee was extremely good. The desk attendant tried hard to please for the most part. Mexican Restaurant adjacent to Motel was convenient and food was delicious. But all was not positive. Issue: First room-Bathroom had hair on the floor. Accessible features appeared flimsy. Resolve: Comment on how we should have checked the room before moving all our luggage in was not appreciated but new room was graciously provided. It was clean and Accessible features (totally different) were sturdy. Issue: TV Remote stopped working after a few minutes. Resolve: Husband to office - new batteries. Still didn't work-called office and staff came immediately. He checked connections (which I had done) and then rebooted. That worked. Issue: While getting breakfast my husband decided to verify we were being charged for one room only. Evidently that precipitated us being checked out. My spouse in his underwear and me in my nightgown did not expect a maid to enter the room unannounced. I certainly didn't expect a follow-up call informing me that we were checked out and were not allowed to be in the room. Getting a receipt before leaving was not unusual. I was accustomed to seeing it under my door when I woke up. One statement was not enough, I gather we had ruined her day because she continued to chastise me. I apologized for whatever my husband, unbeknownst to me, had done and assured her we would be out soon. Would I stay there again? Probably not.

As we are an exterior corridor property, we do not put invoiced under the door on check out day. Also, it is the practice and policy of the hotel, that when guest come up front and inform the front desk they are checking out and wants a receipt, the guest is supposed to be out of the room. This is to deter any mishaps that could happen and to avoid ensuing issues. Also, when the guest checks out at the front office, the housekeepers are informed that the room is vacant and is ready to be cleaned. As such, the housekeeper would have opened the door not expecting anyone to be in the room as she was informed that the room is vacant and can be cleaned. For future references, we would appreciate if, the guest would inform the front desk that they would be checking out later but want a receipt early, so that this does not happen again. While the staff seemed to try and make the best out of the experience, this hotel was not what we expected based on the reviews we read. The rooms are tiny, the walls are like paper, the lock on the door was not fully attached, the breakfast was lukewarm. On a positive note: when we asked for two more blankets we did get something - however, they were quilted mattress covers and they kept sliding off the bed.

I happened to choose this hotel when I was visiting a friend near Jeffersonville about 6 years ago. I have continued to choose this hotel whenever I am in the area ever since. My fiance loves it. It has great breakfast options. I have never had any issue with the rooms, and there are a lot of restaurant options in walking distance.

This was a good location for visiting Louisville and staying in the suburbs. Lots of eating options nearby, pleasant room, helpful staff. Only down side was a noisy bathroom fan. Loved the real freezer in the in-room fridge - I was able to freeze the cold packs for my cooler rock solid overnight. All the rooms are ground-level, if that matters to you (I like to avoid stairs).

Checking-in was super quick. Room smelled good and the room was clean. Staff at breakfast was super sweet. I would recommend this hotel and stay again only if choose a bigger suite. The hot breakfast was the same every morning. Could use some change in that.

We stay at this hotel when we are in the area because it is clean, priced very well and close to everything. The staff are very friendly and make you feel welcome. The only issue we had, is that you are not permitted to take your breakfast back to your room. This is not a good policy considering there are those unable to go to the dining room. if you are staying in the hotel, and do not want to eat in the dining room, you should be permitted to eat in your room.

I will start off by saying that we stayed here for 8 nights for a conference. The hotel was very clean and quiet. I loved the fact that I could park outside my door every night as there is at least one parking spot for each room. The breakfast was decent and there was a lot of stuff around there to do or eat. The downside, the bath towels are bigger than a hand towel but much smaller than any bath towel I've ever used. One towel wouldn't wrap around my body and I'm 5'2" and weigh 125 pounds. The first 2 nights and the last night there were 4 girls in the room. The other 5 nights, there were only 2 of us. So, figure one towel for your body and one for your hair. That would be 8 towels on the 4 person nights and 4 towels on the 2 person nights. We didn't get our room serviced everyday as we didn't need it, they don't change the sheets, just make the bed and with 3 teenagers, there was quite a bit of stuff scattered. We never used the pool (which was closed at least 4 or 5 of the days that we were there), only ate breakfast twice and basically just needed a place to shower and sleep. We weren't needy. All we needed were clean towels. Well you would have thought that they provided you with oversized bathsheets that were from the Four Seasons that cost them a fortune. Each housekeeper I approached on various days made me switch them out one for one and denied my daughter extra towels on the first day when she asked. Then accused her of taking them off of her cart. If she took them, why would she have asked you for some? When I asked her what the big deal with the towels was, she pointed the finger toward her boss saying that she was the one making a stink when later my daughter told me that it was her. I approached the front desk about why we couldn't get extra towels when we in fact had 4 people in the room and they were only giving us 4 towels. They gave me more and said that they were going to talk to the housekeeping staff and it shouldn't be an issue at all. It was again. When this happened the third time, I put up my do not disturb sign and told the cleaning lady that I didn't want my room serviced. We were leaving the next day. They went in, serviced my room anyways and left a note saying that they went in with the supervisor (probably to do an inventory of the towels). When we arrived back later that night, we discovered the do not disturb still on the door and the note. I immediately went to the front desk who was puzzled as to why they would do that. There wasn't a manager on duty and was told to come back and one would be in by 7 a.m. Well at 8:30 a.m., there still wasn't a manager and was told that they were extremely sorry and one would call me as soon as they got in. Well here I am one month later and my phone still hasn't rang. I am disappointed in you, Best Western. This could have been our go to spot, but the accusations and rationing of your piece of crap towels has ruined that thought.

Rooms very clean, large pool, close the Louisville, however if you want breakfast you better get yourself down there no later that 9:15. The hostess will start turning off the waffle iron, locking the juice machine, and taking the food off the bar even if you are trying to make a plate.

The room was very clean and smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable and the room came with a microwave and refrigerator standard. The staff was friendly as well. Probably my only complaint would be that the walls don't buffer out sounds well between neighbors, but a great hotel otherwise.

I was attending a jazz concert in Louisville, KY and needed a place to stay overnight before heading home. Chose the BW Green Tree primarily due to price. Older hotel with exterior doors. Nice staff, rooms are to the smallish side, but are nicely decorated and I only needed a place to rest overnight. Great breakfast, probably the best that I have had at a BW. If you need a reasonably priced hotel with good amenities this is a better choice at half the price than the Hampton Inn next door.

This hotel was easy to find and close to Louisville. You park outside your door so it was easy access to load and unload the car. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable. The sink was outside the bathroom was that was nice, 2 people could get ready at the same time. It was the typical free breakfast but they did continually restock. The wifi worked very well.

For someone new to the area this Hotel may be a little difficult to locate but once you arrive and look around all is well. Easy access to the Interstate I-65. Many restaurants close by and shopping malls very close also. The layout of the Hotel is very interesting and I think quite appealing. One drawback would be having a room close to the pool particularly if you are not using it. Can be noisy with people going to and from past your room.. All being said I would definitely stay here again if in the area and I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

This is the 4th time I've stayed at this hotel and I was very disappointed. The toilet seat was so loose that it must have been like that for a long time and housekeeping had to know about it. I reported it 4 times before it was fixed. The cable didn't work 2 mornings. I was never able to get on the internet with my laptop. The cleaning products they used were so perfumed they gave me a headache. I asked several times for them not to be used but they did anyway. The pillows are tall and lumpy. Bathroom floor looked clean but when I wiped up spilled water, it was definitely not. People were smoking outside their doors and it was coming into my room. The front desk staff is very nice.

I had to plan an impromptu trip during the holidays. There was nothing available in the top hotels where I usually stay. I was very reluctant having to stay at a Best Western, but I had no other choice. However, the staff at check-in was very professional and friendly. When entering my hotel room, I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room and the quality of the furniture. I found the bed to be very comfortable with high quality bedding. I slept like a baby in this quiet safe environment. When returning from my journey, I booked another stay. Why not? I felt I was getting the quality of the more expensive hotels at a much cheaper price. I would recommend this particular Best Western (Clarksdale, Indiana) to anyone.

Was planning to stay here for four days with our family reunion but left after 1st night. The staff were nice. The room was lousy. Room was damp, moldy smelling with a strong air freshener trying to cover it up. The room was dark and depressing. The room looked so bad that i immediately stripped the beds looking for bed bugs before unloading our luggage. I was amazed I didn't see any. The old carpet was damp near the door. Mattresses were awful. Worst night's sleep in a long time. My daughter's asthma was triggered and I had a headache from my mold allergy. In the morning I saw workers spraying Old English furniture polish on all of RR exterior vents to the room. That might explain the smell. The hotel is next to the highway and has an abandoned hotel next door where different trucks park there each night.

Wonderful place to spend the night after traveling 500 miles with hubby and 2 small dogs. Comfortable bed-room a bit small but no big concerns. Cozy all over, a nice hot shower, clean room and a nice breakfast. Definitely would return if in the area again.

This is a well kept up older hotel. Price is reasonable, good location. My only problem is that the rooms are saturated with air freshener to the point I found it almost impossible to stay in the room. I actually took my computer out on the sidewalk and worked to get out of the room and I left as soon as I got out of bed.

The layout of Green Tree was quite different from other Best Western motels. The rooms were just big enough for two people. Not my favorite . Breakfast was pretty good and the staff was OK. The pillows need to be replaced, very lumpy.

This is a nice hotel. All the rooms are on one level and you drive to your room like a motel. So, no noise from above. There is a fake 2nd floor façade built above – just for decoration. The sidewalks were salted. There was complementary Wall Street Journal, complementary Dasani water given. Two sisters run the front desk, Chloe in the evening and Kay-Anna in the morning. They call themselves the dynamic duo! Everything but the bathtub was replaced in the last renovation a year ago. Looks brand new. Cool back-lighted light switches. Nice bathroom, plumbing, and tile. Very comfy beds. Nice lamps, furniture and bedding. Breakfast was good with all the choices you would expect. Highly recommended.

Clean rooms. Helpful staff. All room were ground floor, so no need to go down an elevator to smoke. Restaurants within walking distance. I will stay here again when in the area. It I close to the freeway and near my customer. We had a very productive meeting. There is a Golden Corral, Bob Evans and Senor Iguanas mexican restaurant close by. I chose the Golden Corral.

We stayed here for our anniversary trip due to it's location relevant to Louisville. Upon arriving, the front desk did not address us immediately, rather the manager/owner was too worried about discussing dirty rooms with the 2 front desk employees. Due to this hotel being so close to Louisville, I expected to find visitor guides/information that would help us on our trip. The front desk didn't ask us the reason for our stay, nor did they offer any suggestions for restaurants or dining, all things I expect when I visit a hotel. It's nice to be asked the reason for our stay, that way the employees are familiar with our needs and can make helpful suggestions. Room was small although I did appreciate the microwave and mini fridge. Appeared cleaned and well maintained. Bed was okay, a little too firm for me but my husband found it comfortable. Upon checkout the gentleman at the desk refused to provide me with a receipt. I booked through hotels.com and just wanted confirm I was being charged the correct price. he wouldn't confirm or deny my rates and said I'd get a receipt emailed. Thankfully I was charged the correct rate on my credit card.

We stayed here after seeing a show at the Derby Dinner Playhouse. Best Western Green Tree is just a short drive away from there. The bed was extremely comfortable and the sheets were super soft. Everything was very clean and everyone was friendly. We were on the first floor, but heard almost no outside noise. We will definitely stay there again!

I am always leery of hotels. We were very happy with our room. It was very clean and up to date. They have a nice area for breakfast with a good variety. There are several restaurants close by. Bass Pro, Dicks Sporting Goods and other stores are very close. We would definitely stay here again.

Returning home after winter away, we stayed for the 4th time at the Green TRee Inn. This continues to be one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. It is a great value and location and is pet friendly, has a nice breakfast in a clean and bright dining room and friendly staff. We always plan trips so we can stay here. We highly recommend it!

This place was so nice, comfortable, clean and smelled really good when we walked in room. It is off interstate, but you don't hear traffic. There is a speedway that you can hear if sitting outside. Beds pillows are very comfortable. Tv you don't get a lot of channels, but we visiting friends until late. Air conditioner is very quite and very cold. They had what looked like a good breakfast but we didn't stay for it. Would defiantly stay again.

Great experience. Clean and comfortable. Pet friendly but still clean and quiet. Rooms have outside entrance and r easily accessible. We had a small hiccup in r reservation and were on opposite sides of our family but it worked out ok. We will stay here again.

Pay attention to your bill at checkout. Cleaning staff has a tendency not to replace used items when cleaning the room. Coffee for example. When checking in didn't acknowledge my reward status. When checking out never got a thank you and clerk never got off his chair and acknowledged my stay. Business needs to train their employees to treat their customers

As the former owner of a full service tour/ travel company and current owner of a trucking company I have stayed in hundreds of hotels across the country and the Best Western Green Tree Inn was one of the nicest for the cost. It was clean, well appointed, had a decent hot breakfast bar especially for being free.Internet worked fine and I really appreciated having access to a computer with printer. We will definitely stay here when in the area again.

Spent the night here recently. Room was clean and a nice size. It had a continental breakfast and it was fine. Located near several restaurants and a nice shopping center. Booked the room online through the BW site, but was able to cancel that reservation upon arrival and got the room about $10 cheaper at the front desk. Nice staff.

I spend one night a this Best Western. My only complain is the noise from the Interstate that runs next to the hotel witch you don"t really hear inside the room. I was checked in by the nicest girl named Cory. As i was checking in a guest asked her a question and I was impressed how helpful and knowledgeable she was. I was taken back by the look of the room, it was really nice. Everything was like I expected but fresh and clean.

We stayed here Thanksgiving evening to be in town for Black Friday at Bass Pro Shop. This was a great place to stay. Rooms are clean, staff was very helpful. We didn't have the breakfast so I can't say anything about that. The only problem I had was the when I plugged my Cpap into the plug it shut off about 30 minutes after I started to use it because the lamp was controlled but the sensor that turns the light off automatically. The side of the bed my wife was on had a plug that stayed on but I didn't want to wake her to switch sides. Not my best night of sleep. They need plugs on both sides. I would still recommend it for your next stay in the area.

This hotel is everything we want in a stop: clean, quiet, well-maintained, comfortable, with a generous breakfast selection. We arrived rather late at night after a full day driving. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, and all the fixtures worked well. The wi-fi was fast and reliable. We slept well and enjoyed a great hot breakfast before hitting the road again. It's very conveniently located off the interstate, too. Will definitely stay here again if we are in the Louisville area.

We stayed at this Best Western hotel before and really enjoyed it. .They allow pets ..Easy access to 65..Plenty of restaurants close by...Nice breakfast with biscuits and gravy. .eggs..waffles. .cereal. .fruit. it saves us money when we don't have to go somewhere else to eat in the morning. .very reasonable rates. .booked through TripAdvisor. .had no problems at all..would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a comfortable place to stay and an affordable price!

I made the reservation in a hurry because I wanted a hotel that was reasonably priced near the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory. This one seemed to fit the bill. I did not realize that it was in Indiana. Oh well, it was easy to get to, near the museum, clean and quiet. I enjoyed breakfast. One of the breakfast attendants was going about her job and was singing the entire time. It was a joy to see someone who enjoyed their job enough to sing while she worked.

This was our second time staying here while visiting my wife's family. We were greatly impressed with our first visit and were pleased once again. It didn't quite live up to our first stay but was still very good. The main difference was the staff, they were friendly and helpful, we were just so blown away at the level of service the first time. I'm guessing management and staff has changed since the last time we were here. One of the reasons we chose this hotel originally is because they have cribs, which is great because I didn't have to bring one on the trip. The first time the crib was waiting for us in our room. This time when we checked in, I requested the crib and explained it was no rush because we wouldn't be back until later in the evening. When we returned a little after 8pm, still no crib. I walked to the front desk and she went to the back and brought out a pack and play and handed it to me. The pack and play is fine, but not as good as the crib we got last time, and it would have been nice if they had had it waiting for us in our room instead of having to go get it and set it up myself. Not a big deal, but I feel like this is an improvement they can make. Other than that the room is super clean, beds and pillows very comfortable, and noise level very low. Also, the free breakfast is above average with comparable hotels I've stayed in.

Prices were out of line with expectations, I was charged as much as 50% higher than check-in price over a range of 30 days. This was a very unusual policy for a hotel from my experience. Prices went from the agreed $99.00 per night to as high as $150.00 for the night. overall about 25% over charged.

this was a clean motel and staff was friendly.would stay here again and tell other people it would be a good choice. The staff is rather young so they may not have all the answers, but they will try to find the answers for you. There are many restaurants in the ares that you walk to. Many places to shop. There is also a Krispy Kreme down the road(YUM).

I will admit I wasn't happy with my parents hotel selection when I heard where they made our reservations, but I was pleasantly surprised. This property is newly renovated, clean, and has a very nice staff. Everything is on one level and conveniently located. My only thing I didn't like is the room doors open directly to the outside. I will stay here again, if I am in the area!

I've stayed at many hotels at this economy level including many Best Westerns. The BW Green Tree if not a PLUS in Best Western's levels, but this property is doing a LOT RIGHT. Heck, I even saw staff pressure cleaning guest walkways. The pool area and furnishings were spotless and plentiful. I was able to park right in front of our room which was nicely appointed and modern. I'm irritated when a hotel says its rooms are non smoking but they really smell of stale cigarette smoke. NOT this property. Our room was fresh and nicely appointed. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast though pretty standard, included hot eggs that changed...scrambled, omelets, sausage, etc. When I made an error in our departure date, my wife and I had gone to explore leaving our bags in the room. The hotel called and told us we were supposed to have checked out. I checked my dates and indeed I had missed departure. The lady was nice enough to extend our stay a day with no problem. Before booking this hotel, I checked a BW about 5 miles away but it was TWICE as expensive. I am very glad I chose Green Tree. Great price, great hotel. Also, there are a huge amount of shopping and eating options right around the hotel and it is only 10 minutes over the bridge to get into Louisville. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Decent stay - BED was way too soft (old) - needed replaced. No hooks in bathroom for towels or robe. Had to throw towels in floor and not re-use since they were wet and couldnt' hang them up to dry/reuse

Usually choose larger chains for some unknown reason, but this is a nice place I can say I was glad to have experienced! Great location, newer rooms, great breakfast (served till 10a on weekends) No interior rooms, all rooms you can drive right up to. Staff was very pleasant, and tons of restaurants within safe walking distance. Do yourself a favor, save $30-50 dollars and give it a try

For a bit lower than average priced hotel, the BW offers a nice good quality well arranged well equipped facility. The only real complaint that we have is the shower head height. It is ridiculously high. Whoever installed them must have been 7 1/2 feet tall. RIDICULOUS !!

This place was very nice and the appearance from the outside was amazing. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. I did find it a little difficult to work at the small table but it wasn't too bad. It was a very hot two days there and the room was kept at 70 without any problem.

Able to park right outside the room door, which I find very useful for unpacking and packing. Smallish room but quiet, clean, and comfortable. The staff was courteous and the breakfast was adequate. Fairly easy off and on to highway.

"Charged Credit card even though air miles made payment"

Do not stay at this hotel if you are using air miles! There should not have been a charge made to my credit card but they charged me regardless. Confirmed with air miles that they made the payment and contacted the hotel but they for some reason cannot understand the simple concept of that they received payment and should refund my money. Air miles fighting this and still no refund. May have to go higher with this complaint.

We stayed here on our way to the Kentucky state fair. We got there late, had a speedy check in, dropped off our bags and then went to the restaurant next door. We got back to our room about 10:30 and after a quick shower I turned on the tv which didn't work. I called the front desk and the young lady came down and got it working for us. I was a little nervous about the doors all facing the parking lot instead of a corridor and the noise level and headlights but it was okay. The hotel is a little older and could have used some minor repairs but it was good for a night. The staff was really nice and helpful! This hotel is ALOT better than the BW in Shepherdsville which is just a few miles down the road.

I booked a room through Trip Advisor which trip advisor said was available but actually the hotel was completely full. Luckily the desk clerk noticed and gave me a call to inform me that had no rooms and she was sorry and wasn't sure why it was saying their were rooms available.

"Terrible right from the start"

So we checked in and I had made the reservation with one card, but did not pay in advance. I intended to use a different card when we got here. The clerk had already run our card when we arrived. Some policy that I was not aware of. And I had called ahead to confirm our resevation. She did not apologize or acknowledge the inconvenience. I really had not wanted that card used. Got a blank stare. Then we get to the room and the TV doesn't work. Called her. Gee, there's nothing I can do. No maintenance man, I can't step away. I don't know how to fix it either. I can move you to another room. Now we are very aggravated. The next room had a door that was stuck so hard, my husband couldn't get in! Back to the office. Now she says we can stay in the room where the TV doesn't work, or move now to a room with 2 queen beds. We reserved a room with a king bed. We think we should get a discount for a room less than what we asked for. She refuses!! No apology, no "how can I make this better?" We will NEVER be back, and we've only been here 30 minutes.

I am not generally a fan of Best Western, but this property is an exception. It lived up to all of the good reviews, with a friendly and competent desk staff, large comfortable room, good breakfast options including hot food, and convenient location --all at a remarkably low price. Booked this hotel on line through a travel Web site. Room was small but decent sized. Large bathroom. Clean. Since the rooms were open to the parking lot there was noise (ie: car doors, loud people, etc). Beds were very comfortable. Only drawback was breakfast was only served until 9am. We thought this was a little early to end. Overall good stay but get up early if you want breakfast.

Just stayed one night to visit a friend in Jeffersonville. It is quiet, comfortable, clean and the front desk clerk was very accommodating. The pool was great for my son and the location was perfect. We did not eat breakfast but I did go in to get some coffee and the breakfast looked adequate.

Good amenities, breakfast was great and staff very helpful. Clean!! Easy access to freeways. Grounds were nicely kept, pool looked very clean. Only drawback was the area was confusing and the roads are not in very good shape, compared to Texas roads.

"Nice Rooms Just Beyond Louisville"

This Best Western was dog friendly ($15 pet fee) and reasonably price ($94) just beyond Louisville as you cross into Indiana, Obviously recently updated facility. The hotel has drive up to the door rooms (which I like). The rooms were nice with a mini fridge and microwave. There is an outside pool but limited area to walk a dog since it is primarily a commercial neighborhood. The hotel is an easy drive or even walking distance to a number of familiar restaurants (fast food or sit down). The best may be the Mexican restaurant Senor Iguana's which is right next door practically on site. We called in an order which was ready for a quick pick up. The breakfast was included and was great including eggs, sausages and biscuits along with the usual continental items. Once directions were explained by a friendly front desk staff, it was easy to get right back on Highway 65 in the morning and start the ride north.

Exceeded my expections, with refridgerator and microwave, I had the best sleep on the Beauty Rest matteress, room was spotless, great location exit off the highway directly into their parking lot... will stay again.

Pros: Friendly staff, nice free breakfast, fair price, close to a lot of restaurants. Cons: Literally right next to the highway and rooms open to the outside. Lots of families were there (and baseball/ softball teams) so it seemed like a popular and family friendly spot. Nothing bad to report- about what you would expect for the price.

Overall, this hotel is clean and comfortable. I did not have time for the breakfast or pool (which is small) but this hotel is just as nice as the Hampton Inn next door for much less money. It is a bit more than the Value Inn but it is so much nicer and quieter. It looks newly updated. One of the nicer Mid-west Best Westerns.

We had a very pleasant stay. Bed was very good and that is most important to me, Very pleasant pool although the water was cool. The only thing that did not appeal to me was the outside entry. I don't like opening my door not knowing what or who is there. There were several restaurants within walking distance.

The staff was all you can ask from a staff of professionals, from the front desk to breakfast staff to cleaning staff. Proper amount of pillows for my taste (4 per bed), and they were fluffy. Bed could have been more comfortable, but over all a good experience for the price.

Our entire team stayed here for a softball tourney. Rooms were clean, well stocked with towels and nicely updated. The girls loved the pool. Breakfast was standard. Good location close to the interstate, shopping and food. Rooms were very quiet and we heard no interstate noise. My only complaint is that they don't accept cash and when you book online they don't inform you of this policy. We had an issue with identity theft and made the trip with cash as we were waiting on new debit cards. I had a credit card to secure the room with but wanted to pay my bill with cash...no dice. I don't mind the policy but feel it should be advertised when you book. The employee at the desk informed me that they knew it wasn't posted online and "someone should fix that." I agree!

My boyfriend and I were extremely tired and had had a long day when we arrived at the hotel without a reservation later in the day. The hotel receptionist, Brandon, was extremely friendly and helpful. He made sure we were taken care of and even helped me sign up for a Best Western membership, which is free and allowed us to get the best rate that night. He even explained all of the perks that go with it. After such a long day it was definitely a relief to be welcomed by such an awesome receptionist with a genuinely helpful attitude. When we got to our room we were once again blown away by the high quality. It was extremely clean and spacious and even had a fridge and microwave. We took advantage of the free Internet and the amazing free breakfast the next day. If I'm ever in need of a hotel in the area again I'll definitely stay here.

I found this hotel in Clarksville IN cheaper than the hotels in Louisville. It's just a few minutes from downtown Louisville. The room was clean, quiet, had two nice queen beds, a mini-fridge, microwave and wi-fi. Breakfast was fine with cold items and a couple of hot items. Check-in was very slow. One employee was working and two others talking to each other in the back. The pool looked ok. We did not go in.

"Nice hotel for the price"

The room is a bit small, but we didn't come here to stay in our room the whole time. We chose it so we could visit Kentucky Kingdom and the surrounding caves. The hotel staff have all been wonderful. The pool felt great after a hot day at the park. Breakfast was wonderful. I liked that they offered a variety of foods and it was free. Plus the outside of the motel all looks new.

The first time we stayed here they were renovating. It all turned out great. The staff is always pleasant and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is fresh and the chef is always maintaining the area. We were unable to attend the pool this time; maybe next time! I really hope they do not raise the price like they did our other BW hotel because we really like it. The location is great around restaurants and shopping.

Best price for the area and quality of hotel. Very clean. Slept well. Had a great breakfast. Minimal bath products. Agent on duty at check out did not know about getting airline miles for the stay. Did not get it resolved over the phone with Home Office either. But would not stop me from staying again. Every shopping outlet known to man was at that exit. Four miles from Louisville. New amusement park in the area too with good rates and specials.

I was going to be in the area for business and found this place on Trivago. I knew nothing about the area, but the reviews were very good so I decided to give it a try, sight unseen. This motel is clean, the staff very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are exceptionally well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast was great with a good variety and served early (6:00 am) for those who, like me, have early commitments. I was very happy to have chosen this place. Oh, and the price was surprisingly good, as well.

I have nothing but rave reviews for this motel they just finished a complete remodel so it's up to date fresh and clean. The staff was friendly and quick to help with a question or a problem like a clogged Toilet during our stay. I will say it's centrally located near restaurants and retail as well as the highway.????

The rooms are newly remodeled and are spacious. All the staff was friendly and they serve a nice hot breakfast. I would stay again and I recommend it other travelers.The room with tax was $116 There are lots of restaurants nearby to choose from. They have a pool that looked nice. I did not go in. They have USA Today papers for free.

Very friendly,new remodel, quiet. Is a little confusing to drive in this area. Getting to this motel and leaving to get back on interstate are easy. Getting to restaurants is challenging.' Breakfast and check out are in same area and newly remodeled. Good coffee..

Close to Downtown Louisville ! The rooms were clean and very modern. had a good breakfast , used the express check out , worked very well. Pool and workout are was nice although I did not have time to use them. Lots of good shopping and restaurants nearby. A great place to stay while visiting Louisville , Including the Urban Bourbon Trail. There are 37 bars with great food, you can get your passport at any of them . Get them stamped . Once you have visited 6 of them , one drink minimum. you can get your official Kentucky Urban Bourbon Trail t shirt !

At check in, we were informed that hotel had been over booked and we might have to change rooms during our stay. Fortunately, that didn't happen but I was concerned, I mean, how can you over book? Friendly and courteous staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The beds were wonderful. We loved the Breakfast Buffet. It offered an excellent variety with and healthy choices as well. Extremely clean; Courteous/helpful staff; HUGE all you can eat breakfast (everything from cereal to eggs, biscuits/gravy, sausage, fruit, belgian waffles, rolls, etc), right near stores, restaurants, yet far enough from Louisville (10 minutes) for straight route to convention center. This is our 3rd stay on our way northbound each spring. Each time has been better...they've just finished an extensive re-do of rooms. I am EXTREMELY picky and I will say our two rooms were absolutely spotless. The linens were very nice, snowy white and generous. Traveled with elderly parent and 2 pets and were given the room arrangement we requested. All staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Highly recommend this location. (note: pillows a bit big and full for our liking...our ONLY negative...and thats personal preference!) Very convenient location; just off freeway (but quiet); an easy drive to lots of eateries in a very nice area.

We're moving to Indiana and stayed here while the inspection was performed on our new home. The room was super clean and felt very crisp. The complimentary breakfast was great! They had waffles, eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, a selection of cold cereals, fresh fruit and baked goods. Coffee and iced teas are available 24 hours. The staff was very friendly. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

This hotel has recently been remodeled and the room we had was really nice. The place is very clean and the staff friendly. They have direct tv so there were a large number of channels for watching. We weren't able to try their breakfast but it looked very good. Close to many shopping and eating choices.

We were in town for a Garth Brooks concert and really enjoyed our stay. Hotel was booked solid but it was very clean and in a convenient location. Staff were super friendly and rooms were updated. Hot breakfast included sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles and ... I will definitely stay in this hotel again when visiting the area.

We were pleased with our accommodations and delighted with a full breakfast. Did have quiet a bit of road/other room noise, but we brought a sound machine which helped to filter that out. Friendly staff along with a clean room helped make our short visit a pleasurable one.

Hotel staff was very helpful about giving directions to attractions in Louisville. The motel is in the midst of numberous shopping areas and restuarants.

Overall an excellent stay. My room was clean and comfortable, services overall were excellent. Good value for the price. Staff was helpful at check in and friendly. Checkout was good for me, however, staff made a guest wait until they had concluded what appeared to be a routine staff meeting before serving that guest's needs. Additionally, even though the breakfast bar was advertised as available until 10:00, staff began removing items about 9:45.

We stayed here on our drive home from Florida to WI. After being in the car for, 12 hours this was a very comfortable place to relax for the night. Staff was friendly, rooms were very clean and it is right off the highway and located next to lots of food optiobs. My family and I stayed here for a trip to see the sights in nearby Louisville. This was a great base to explore the city. It's located on the much quieter side of the Ohio River in Indiana. That said, there are still a lot of restaurants nearby. We had a double queen room. The room was very spacious and also had a very comfortable chair to recline in and a nice desk as well. The bathroom area was spacious and clean as well. Even though it faces a busy I-65, I heard very little road noise. My family and I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast as well. Sausage, eggs, bagels, yogurt, cereal, waffles, coffee, and juice were all available. The wifi was also free and reliable. The next time I need to visit Louisville, I will definitely stay here again!

The beds were great and the room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. For my stay, the location was also very good. I didn't wake up in time for breakfast. The attendant was just cleaning up but got some muffins and yogurt for me anyway. Very nice and I will stay here again.

This hotel looks brand new. They obviously took a lot of time and effort to make this a wonderful place to stay. The rooms were comfortable and very quiet. The new beds were soft and we both got a great night's sleep. The staff made sure our stay was up to their very high standards. There was a free breakfast as with most other hotels but this one served freshly made scrambled eggs and sausage. The sausage wasn't microwaved but actually cooked. The biscuits and gravy was also cooked... not nuked! We'll stay there again!

We enjoyed the room, the atmosphere and the breakfast. The hotel creates an atmosphere where even the guests are friendly to one another unlike some larger, almost sterile-like hotels. Our stay was brief and it rained the whole time but somehow our spirits were not dampened. This hotel will certainly be on the list should our travels bring us to this area again.

This is a review of two separate stays within a few weeks of each other. The first was an emergency trip as our grandson was taken to Kosair's children's hospital. We booked this room through hotels.com very late at night. They were so friendly and accomodating even at 2 in the morning. The room was absolutely spotless, we got a good albeit short night's sleep. Checked out and was on our way, very grateful. No complaints about the stay. So the next time we were in Louisville on an improptu shopping trip, we decided to stay there again on our way outside of town. We booked because this location was close to some more shopping areas, right off the interstate, and near restaurants and gas stations. The Good: Both times the rooms were spotless. My wife cleans every hotel room as soon as she checks in, she said it was the cleanest hotel we've ever stayed in. The staff has always been friendly. Parking is right in front of your room (SUPER BONUS). The location is easy to find and convenient to the highway, shopping, there's a mexican restaurant with a bar next door if you wanna walk over and have some drinks. The Bad: The pillows were terrible. That's usually true at Best Westerns. The Bed was comfortable enough, we got a good night's sleep, but I would recommend bringing a good pillow (as most car travelers already do). Recommendation: I would recommend staying here if in the area on business or looking for a simple, great value hotel. It's a Best Western, not a Hilton, so this hotel represents a fantastic value for the money.

Very clean and well kept. Staff are very nice and friendly. The breakfast is pretty good. I found the beds were hard as rock and the pillows are no fun. The rooms were great otherwise. The internet was okay. The DirectTV was nice to have.

Stay at this hotel was without any problems or incidents. Most of the other hotels were unavailable and was happy to be able to lodge here. We will probably stay here again at some point. Breakfast was average, but did not agree with not being able to take your selection with you. We were hurrying to our event and did not have time sit in breakfast area. I believe if you are paying to lodge there you should be able to at least eat you breakfast where you choose.

This room was not big enough for the kind bed and all the furniture crammed into it. There was no shampoo in the dispenser and the light over the sink kept turning off. The bed mattress was also old, or just needed flipping and rotating, nothing like rolling into the center of the mattress when you turn over in your sleep.

we went for my birthday weekend hotel staff was professional and friendly. we had one small problem but it was handled okay. we will definitely stay if we are in the area again. could use a newer style wardrobe but overall a good place to stay for an extended weekend

We were traveling through and needed a motel/hotel that was dog friendly but didn't charge a small fortune for the dog. Best Western Green Tree was perfect. The pet fee is $15.00 which we felt was fair. We also were traveling with a truck and 30 ft travel trailer so we needed adequate parking and they had a place right across the small road from them. This motel is very very big so we did have to haul our luggage a distance but if you aren't pulling a trailer you can park right in front of your room. The room was small but adequate. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were several places to eat within walking distance. We ate at the Si Iguana, a Mexican restaurant right next door and it was fabulous. We highly recommend that!

Newly renovated. Everything was clean. Close to freeways and food and gas places. Proximity to Louisville downtown. Lobby is great with its renovation. Breakfast had plenty of choices and had healthy option but you have to request.

This was the first time staying at the Green Tree Best Western in Clarksville, and let me say I was impressed. I picked the Green Tree Inn, based on Trip Advisor ratings. Here is my experience... Reservations were spot on and check in was a breeze. I had two rooms and asked to be placed near each other, and the attendant did some magic and arranged to have the placed side by side. It was wonderful to be able to park directly outside my room(s) and not have to drag my baggage up and down hallways and elevators. (THIS WAS A BIG PLUS) Both rooms were in wonderful shape and it is quite apparent that the folks at the Green Tree take pride in their establishment. Breakfast is served at 6am every morning. It consisted of yogurt, boiled eggs, waffles, scrambled eggs or omelet, sausage links or patties, biscuits and sausage gravy, and assortment of dry cereals, instant oatmeal and fresh fruit. (Apples, bananas, and clementine oranges). There was fresh milk, orange juice, apple juice, coffee and Gold Peak tea to wash it all down with. The dining area was in good upkeep and the attendant kept things stocked and the area clean. Room as I said was clean. The bathroom was spotless with towels that were "BRIGHT" white. No dingy linens to speak of. The plus was the shower was set up for a tall person, so I didn't have to stoop when I showered. The bed linens appeared in wonderful condition, with clean white sheets. Inspection of the bed showed them to be in great shape... and no signs of crawling things. Customary coffee and toiletries were provided. Great selection of channels on the television. Room was in GREAT SHAPE... loved it. No noise from adjoining rooms or from the street/lane outside. In closing, I would recommend the Green Tree to a friend of family in a heart beat. It is a great place to stay and I will be staying there again in the future. Thank you Daniel... and I believe Jessica for making my check in and out experience quick and easy. I visit this hotel regularly for business. The cost isn't over-priced, and the overall rooms and upkeep is nice. Plus, breakfast is actually fairly tasty here. I've been to plenty of hotels, and the food here is better than about any of them I've stayed at.

We were in town for a college visit. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful even though she was by herself at the front desk. The hotel room was average. Clean, small but ok. It was appropriate for the price paid. Breakfast was good. People extremely friendly.

After scouring the map on the app for a balance of quality and pricing and convenience we settled on this place. It's really a 4 1/2 star but since the staff was so accommodating I'm rounding up. Mattress firm but not hard. The rooms have been renovated recently and were very clean. There was the standard breakfast variety which was great. The staff even let my dad fill up his thermos of coffee from their machine and reconfigured it so he could use it. The only issue we had was a very, very sticky door. We had a terrible time getting the door open. My husband had to shove it open (it took several swipes of the card and shouldering the door before he won) and ripped his knuckles open the frame in the process. There is a gap between the door and frame and it needs some adjusting. Good sleep and good breakfast. Glad I held out until I found this place. ??

I found my stay at this establishment was comfortable and really enjoyed the breakfast offerings and experience a few years ago when I stayed. I chose to stay again even though the rates were higher. Yet, was pleased to find the property had not only maintained comfort level and the great breakfast experience, but had been undergoing updates and remodeling. Staff was very attentive and I was pleased to be asked by management about our opinion of their accommodations with genuine interest.

First off the reason we chose this particular hotel is because they have cribs available. That is very convenient when you are only staying one night and have an infant. When we arrived a little early we were able to check in immediately and the crib was already in the room for us. The room is a little small but still there was enough room. I really like the look and layout of the hotel. The staff we encountered were all so nice and very helpful. There is breakfast available up until 9:30. They had a very nice variety of hot and cold food items as beverages. This will definitely be a place we stay at again when we are back in the area.

We stayed here for three nights over Christmas while visiting family, and I enjoyed our stay so much that I didn't want to leave! The hotel is very clean and has been recently remodeled. Check-in was a breeze, and our daughter enjoyed cookies in the lobby while we watched the weather and waited for a hailstorm to pass over us. Our room was clean and comfortable, and we had plenty of space. We did make use of the microwave and refrigerator, and we were thankful to have them in our room (eating out for 5 days isn't reasonable). We noticed that we didn't have a place to hang our clothes (due to remodeling), but Denise in housekeeping worked quickly to get us a brand new armoire within 10 minutes! The manager stopped by as well to be sure that we had hangers and everything that we needed. Breakfast at this hotel is definitely the best free breakfast we've had. They offered eggs and sausage the first day, eggs, ham, and bacon on Christmas day, and eggs and bacon on our third day. There were also warm biscuits, waffles, pitchers of juices (rather than the machines), and all the regular continental breakfast fare. One thing I noticed about this hotel is that the staff were friendly with each other, and they talked and visited with each other as they were working; it sounds strange, but I've never seen hotel employees who seemed to enjoy their jobs like the ones at this hotel did. I appreciated how friendly everyone was to us and how they greeted us each time we passed. They also left little Christmas gift bags with bottled water and snacks in our room, which was sweet. The hotel is close to so many restaurants, the mall, and Walmart and Target. It's also just off I-65, so traveling to and from our relatives' home was easy. Drugstores are a little further away, but still within a reasonable distance. For excercise, I walked laps around the parking lot, but I felt safe. I did notice some couples walking/running down Broadway, so I assume it's a fairly safe area. Check-out was also very simple. We enjoyed our stay so much that we definitely plan to stay here again when we are in town again. If you're looking for an affordable, clean, comfortable, friendly place close to dining, shopping, and the interstate, the Best Western Greentree Inn is a perfect choice.

This is a pretty nice hotel. It is a good value for the cost. Breakfast is standard Best Western. I will probably stay here again depending on price when I am in the area again. I liked the free newspapers which are seldom offered now a days. Room was clean but if you looked hard you could find some spots that needed cleaning especially noticeable to tall people like myself. TV and internet were good. I would recommend if the price is right.

This was truly a rare find. The staff all friendly and helpful. The location close to anything you could need. The rooms recently renovated, exceptionally clean, and well furnished. They had a really good breakfast and a hostess named Jess that gave you such friendly service you felt at home. Also this hotel is pet friendly and they charged a modest price for my fury babies. I would highly recommend this location. What a wonderful pleasant clean friendly place.... I hope to visit again sometime.

This hotel has some years on it but they do a good job of updating it. It appears that it has recently been remodeled to some extent. They were also painting and cleaning the outside of the buildings while we were there which also indicates, they keep up with their maintenance. The front desk staff was quite nice and very helpful. I had a problem when I first waked in the room and noticed the TV wold not turn on. I called the front desk and they actually were able to troubleshoot it over the phone and get the problem resolved. That doesn't happen very often. They are bike friendly and let us park in front which was much appreciated. The rooms were nice and the air conditioning was great! It could chill meat in the room. The breakfast was good and the breakfast area and staff were quit nice. One day they didn't clean my room for some reason. I left early and came back in the evening and nobody had done anything. Their WiFi is a joke. It's pretty much unusable, due to extreme slowness. This is a common problem in smaller hotels. It seems they don't have the staff or expertise to maintain the technical infrastructure. Overall, this hotel is a great bargain. I'm sue some hotels are nicer or fancier but they also cost more too. This is a good value for the money. It's nice, clean, friendly and has a convenient location.

Helpful friendly staff. Some construction going on, but not intrusive. The rooms I've stayed in at this property have been well taken care of & clean. Very good location. Did not use the breakfast on this visit, but in the past it has always been very good. This is a pet friendly hotel, so there may be dogs on the property.

Stayed at this site for 16 day's the house keeping personal are thieves head house keeper stole my prescription pain medication helped my wife carry in some extra stuff and took it right out of my coat pocket that was hanging on the back of the chair called the police to make a report and was thrown out as soon as the police left thought they were nice people but just shows that you can't judge a book by its cover would not recommend that place to my worst enemy

This motel is pretty average. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. The complementary breakfast could stand some improvement, but you can't do much with powdered eggs and sausage. The biscuits and gravy aren't very good either, but it's all free. They do have hot waffles, pastries and several juices & coffee. The main reason I like this motel is its location. I sometimes find it necessary to visit West Main Street in Louisville and this motel (although in a different state) is only 5 or 6 miles away. Very convenient.

While our rooms were quite nice, don't rely on the managers to help you. There was a guy named ignatious who was a fast paced little indian man who was always yelling at some employee while we stayed there. Not being curtious of his guests, the man seemed to not care at all. There was another female there who also looked indian and she seemed to busy to answer questions when she was supposedly was the assistant manager while the general manager was not there. They were horrible, just horrible.

I booked 5 rooms for 2 nights 1 month in advance by phone and they were so messed up when we arrived it took 3 hours to get things fixed. As of 5p.m. the day of check in they had not been cleaned. The owners sister was horribly rude to one of my family members. I have stayed at this hotel before without problems, however I wont again!

When we arrived on the furst evening, the clerk told us our room was full and they didn't have a room for us. After 20 minutes and a phone call at 1:00 in the morning, they figured out that our room was empty after all. This is 2 years of renovations. This visit, the room still needed painting (there are patch jobs on the walls); the bathroom tile is unfinished. The toilet seat is very flimsy and slides halfway off the toilet. The staff on duty were very sweet. When we asked to use the lobby to gather in and share drinks with family members they assured us that there was no problem. However, the owner's sister came in a half hour before the lobby was to close and was very rude to the staff because we were there. There was nothing posted about drinking and the lobby was supposed to be open until 11:00pm. On top of this, breakfast was disgusting. We have used this hotel because it was close to where my mother-in-law lives., but I will not be back.

I spent one night at the Green Tree Best Western in Clarksville. The hotel is in the process of renovation so all rooms aren't complete but it looked like most of them were. Room was very nice, everything new. The rooms have the toilet & shower in a room and the vanity area is open to the room which I like because it is easier for multiple people to get ready at the same time without waiting for the bathroom. The exterior of the building was really nice and the location is perfect, right near all the restaurants, mall, etc. This area would be considered part of the greater Louisville metro area so there are a great number of activities to do. I don't know the cost because the trip was a birthday gift to me, but I do know that they do sometimes have Groupon offers. I would definitely stay there again.

This is a pretty normal place. All rooms are ground level and outside entrances. They seemed to be upgrading some of the furniture while we were there which was definitely needed as the desk in my room was very worn. The stopper in the tub came out in my hand. Breakfast was really good. Internet was fast and easy to sign on. When we checked in about 11pm, you had to do it through this little hole in a window which was a little strange. Otherwise room was clean and I would stay here again.

Best Western was undergoing major renovations so several rooms were not available for use. Our room was nice but the bed was hard. I've always considered BW a economically priced hotel but their prices were at the same level as the Hampton next door which I consider a higher priced hotel. Probably will not stay there again as I go back to this town once a year or so.

Nothing fancy...had hot water, clean rooms, fridge and microwave, direct tv. This is a motel so the door opens to the parking lot. Some others in my business group had worse experiences as their room hadn't been renovated. The breakfast every morning was hot and had flavor. Some would think that this motel is less than par but I had a clean room, running hot water, and food every morning. I had no cpmplaints but no compliments either.

Everything went well until I tried the high speed internet. The staff told me they had been having problems. I lost a whole night of business data input, even went to office to no avail. The motel room was clean, the staff were very friendly and I would stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

We stayed there for a week and we told the lead housekeeper $100 went missing and we no longer wanted room service. Ten min later they called saying they went in our room and the sink was broken. They run a scam there don't bother staying. The owner's sister is the lead housekeeper so telling her stuff isn't the way to go. We called corporate and they agreed it's was a scam. Paid $60 and left the next day. We had nothing that would of made a huge hole in the sink. We made a video of the stream going right to the floor. That place is a joke don't stay there. After they went in the room to break the sink they didn't even leave towels or soap or vacuum or clean anything.

Inn is in process of complete remodeling.Our room was completely renovated, quiet; only drawback the toilet was clogged and fleas in bathroom only. Toilet was fixed. Continental breakfast had a very good variety of items to choose from.

The rooms have been nicely updated, just needed some finishing touches such as a soap tray in the bath/shower and a hook on the wall. Otherwise a very comfortable room. We will return again when we want to see a show at the Derby Dinner Theatre.

It gets four dots for its hotel type. This is a decent property. Good place to stop along the way for a night or two. Conveniently located right off the freeway it is adjacent to a Bob Evans and near a few dozen stores and chain restaurants that offer all a traveler could need. Room was large enough, bed was comfortable, and shower was great. The bathroom was well lit and well ventilated. The AC worked well and quietly. As it has all exterior doors, there is a bit of noise in the morning when people are leaving and getting in their cars. No big deal. Only negative was the poor wifi, but on a short stay it wasn't a problem. Would definitely consider staying here again if my travels brought me back.
