very good service, good breakfast, king size bed was very comfortable, room was very nice and they are remodeling it to make it even better, . The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Very dirty! The shower does not drain properly it almost flooded the bathroom we had to clean up the water with our towels. And just general cleanliness of the room was not good I will not be staying there agin

Great staff, nice and clean they are adding additional rooms and updating the building. But it doesn't affect your stay one bit the renovation is taking place away from the guest's rooms that make it nicer.

Best Western has been my go-to lodging when traveling for my company. I was seriously disappointed by this hotel. The hall and my room were very musty smelling and there was an unpleasant odor in the lobby area. The workers were pleasant, but a smile and cheerful greetings don't make up for tired, worn, smelly facilities.

We reserved a king room. It was very small and way overpriced. We will not stay at this motel again. If we had known how small the room was going to be we would not have booked it. Being a PLATINUM member I expected better treatment.

Plenty of hotels in Chillicothe, stay in one of those......this one is a dump. The staff appeared to be random people that were just hanging around, one of the front desk girls was hanging around in the lobby talking with her boyfriend, the other was ordering take out, it took about 15 minutes to check in 3 people. My 2 co-workers did not receive their rewards points when they checked out because the girl that checked them out had closed the folio before awarding the points and could not fix it once it was closed. The rooms were filthy, and during these virus times, you definitely shouldn't risk a stay here. The big brown stain on the sheet was disgusting......in fairness, the sheet appears to have been laundered, but was stained and still put back on the bed. Do NOT stay at this hotel !!

This Best Western is a lil bit difficult to find. Selected this hotel for a one night stay over while traveling. The $100 room rate is what made us select this particular hotel. The front desk check in experience was pleasant. Our room upon check in was “just ok”. One might think in the year of Covid 19 that more attention to cleanliness and detail would be in place for everyone's safety. Our room showed signs of a quick and sloppy at best cleaning from the previous guest. This fact just sort of set my tone and opinion of the hotel. They do offer a outdoor hotel but we did not have time to visit it. In the future I would just pay more to stay at another hotel with a stronger level of cleanliness.

Every shift of front desk workers were so pleasant and the nicest people and extremely helpful. I had me and my kids and their brothers and sister stay. We stayed two nights and the loved the pool. I payed with cash so I was expecting a 150$ deposit back if nothing was damaged. Everything was great until time fo check out. I woke up and got me and all the kids ready and went outside to having a flat tire. The CLEANING lady wouldn't let my kids stay inside the room a few minutes after 11:00am which was check out time, while I was trying to fix my flat tire so we could leave. It was very hot outside I had my baby and two four year olds and their older siblings, she was extremely rude, I had to have them all sit in the heat for over an hour after check out while I tried to fix my tire. I was rushing trying to CLEAN the room with a baby on my hip. We had pizza and chips the night before and their were pizza boxes and Pepsi cans sitting and I made both beds before I went and bagged up all my trash, I also hung up all dirty towels and made sure everything was picked up and she walked in and started sighing really loud telling me I was ridiculous and that, in so many words I would be lucky to get my 150$ deposit back because their were chip crumbs on the floor. My guess is that the WONDERFUL front desk lady knew this cleaning lady was rude and she gladly gave me my deposit back without a complaint and with a smile. I'm not sure why she got mad because she had to do her job but she was really rude and just made the experience horrible. She was an older lady. Everything was perfect, not sure why people act like this towards customers but it was Very disappointing. I just wanted two days,with all my kids and step kids and their siblings, together and to have fun. I'm the type of person that actually cleans the hotel room before leaving, and I clean the table at a restaurant when I'm done eating to make people's jobs easier, I really didn't see her reaction coming I thought she would be happy but I guess because I was unable to sweep up chips crumbs and to put a fresh bed set on she had to be ugly towards me and my family. Also my four year old had found a rock and brought it inside without me knowing and she told me that it was “bull****” that their were “rocks” in the room although it was just one tiny rock that I made sure to grab as I left to put back outside. But like I said the front desk lady's were lovely, I would definitely go back if that lady wasn't there but I think I'll try my luck somewhere else next time

Overall, it was a disappointing stay. I give it 2 stars. It wasn't completely terrible and nothing overtly bad happened. The host was very nice when we checked in and we got the kind of room that we wanted. But, the best way to describe the hotel is … dingy. In the age of the corona virus, you want to be reassured that the hotel is taking extra precautions to keep everything clean. This place clearly didn't pass that test. When we walked into our room, we saw a pretzel under one bed and a bottle cap under the other – and we saw this without getting down on our hands and knees. Clearly then, the cleaning staff had done at best a perfunctory job. There was dried toothpaste on the counter in the bathroom. It wasn't a lot but still, not something you want to see with what we've been experiencing in the last few months. The shower drained super slow – you know, one of those experiences where by the time you are finished your shower you are standing ankle deep in water. I hasten to add that I take quick showers. Finally, when we left to go out for a meal, the door wouldn't lock. Apparently, it had settled in the door jamb so the bolt didn't line up with the lock. I did eventually get it locked by lifting up on the handle. So, no, we wouldn't want to stay in this place the next time we are passing through. It was disheartening.

Fantastic staff very clean and peaceful. Wonderful breakfast WIFI Connection was great full bars the whole stay no complaints at all. Room had brand new bedding smelled great and was super clean. Will be returning soon!

Even our GPS had a very tough time to locate this hotel. It was located in back of another building and the road looked like an alley. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was good with a lot of variety. They offered to help with luggage and gave us another discount since we were there for a funeral. We drove from Florida and this was definitely needed. People were very polite and hotel was quiet. Thank you BW.

Checked out of our room at 11. Hung out for several hours in my parents room. Realized I had left my son's Apple airpods in the room and only had the charger. Called the desk, and she said well that room is now booked. She knew whoever was in the room and said she would check with housekeeping. Of course, they were gone and NOONE took them. $169 airpods! Breakfast was half cooked and cold. Mold and hair buildup in the corners of the bathroom, and exhaust fan wouldn't work in either room! Key cards kept messing up, had to end up with 3 different sets. Horrible, horrible...so upset.

first off --- there is NO elevator at this hotel. this needs to be noted prominently on the webpage and door. if you have any mobility problems you're out of luck. this is a value priced hotel and is in my budget range. i felt safe and the front desk guy was very helpful in changing me to a first floor room and offering to help with my luggage and i am thankful for that. however ... either the sheets had not been changed since the last person, obviously a smoker, had slept in the bed or they're not washing their linens very well. the pillows and mattress were pretty cheap, mattress was not good. the entry to the hotel is very narrow and the doors narrow, so wheelchairs or walkers are difficult. the property was a little banged up but kept ok. I didn't take part in the breakfast so can't comment on that. my room had a roll-in shower for a wheelchair and the floor flooded with water, drain didn't really work. it's an ok place --- just don't expect a bunch. and i have no idea how they meet any ADA requirements. i used to work in rehabilitation so this is sort of a thing for me.

We needed a cheap hotel for 1 night and ended up having to switch rooms immediately upon arrival. The room hadn't been cleaned yet and the fridge was open with a wet towel in it. The second room smelled strongly of bleach. Although the hotel was right next to Buffalo Wild Wings which was nice.

My husband and I upon our arrival were greeted nicely. Had no problems checking in and getting our room. The beds were comfy. Pillows not so much. The room smelled damp and musty. Our room was adjacent from Buffalo Wild Wings. Lots of noise with people getting in and out of their vehicles. Car doors slamming. Toilet needed scrubbed around the inner ring. Didn't leave enough wash rags our first nights stay. The front facing of the refrigerator looked as if something had dripped all down the front of it. Back doors into the hotel didn't lock. I didn't feel very safe. Out by one of the back doors. Someone had been using one of the trash bins as an ashtray. Nasty smell to have to walk by while getting in. Breakfast was much to be desired. Served from 6-9. We got there at 7. 3 pieces of fruit was out. Out of gravy and eggs. A girl kept checking it but wasn't replenishing it. Coffee was good though. Most probably in the future won't stay there again.

the room was clean but beds were hard and worn.truckers smoking at every entrance and it is in a alley behind other businesses which was not ideal. lobby is cramped and staff does not engage the rewards customers

We were staying in town on business. We had 2 rooms, both of which had bed bugs. We went to the front desk to inform the worker and when we showed him he became irate with us. He never even offered us another room. When we spoke to management the next day they told us they would not refund our money until they had someone come in to confirm that what we found was in fact bed bugs. Do not ever stay here! Not unless you want to sleep with bugs!

Room reeked if damp and smoke (perhaps a previous guest had smoked or the room retained smoke smell from years of being a smoking room, we could not tell), piles of sipping wet towels all over the pool area, not the best breakfast. We've stayed at many BW's and this was by far the worst.

This was a very nice motel. The staff was helpful and very nice to the two young boys I had with me. The beds are a tad hard, but I slept well. The room was very clean, especially the bathroom. The fan didn't work in the bathroom, but other than that, it was great. Will stay here again if in the area.

Staff friendly. Hotel old. No what I expected from a Best Western hotel. Used wash cloth found in shower; didn't discover it until the next morning. Internet poor. Internet required repeated attempts to join. Internet did not at all in the middle of the night. We were double charged for our room; waiting for the double charge money to be reimbursed.

The Best Western Adena Inn sits about a block behind other buildings off of the main street so you may miss it if you don't see the HUGE sign or have a navigation device guiding you - but this gem is worth looking for. Its location means you don't hear the street traffic, yet you are right on the main street (Bridge) where all of the shopping and restaurants are easily accessible. The room was clean, comfortable and the carpet had been freshly cleaned. The staff was friendly and approachable. Breakfast was typical of those included in other hotels, including eggs, bacon, toast and toaster pastries. Breakfast was supposed to be 6-9 but at 7:45 there was little or no selection of bread (only slices of white) There were no safety features in the bathroom - nothing to hold on to as you get in or out of the shower; nothing to stop you from sliding in the tub. The cable TV featured a full lineup that included 2 HBO channels and several sports channels, which was welcome when a rainstorm cut short our outdoor activities! Well worth the money for a conveniently located, clean, comfortable night's stay.

It was nice until we had to deal with house keeping. Check out is at 11 and they rushed us out because we were running late. Came back a second time to tell us they were having the front desk call us. Then as we were leaving I could hear the house keeping talking about us. Very unprofeshional. The people at the front desk were very nice. Really liked the guy kurt. The place needs cleaned very badly. Run the vacume threw the halls. And there was hair in my tub. But kurt was nice and cleaned it his self. My son's feet were filthy on the bottoms from walking the floors. Thanks but don't know if I will be back for $129 a night, I expected better.

Motel is a little dated but the rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The fridge in the room was bigger than most which was nice. TV was good with lots of choices for channels. Wifi worked well. Breakfast had many choices and was well stocked and refilled.

This place sits about a block behind the main drag, so it is relatively quiet. The interior is very nice, it looks newer. Room was nice and cool when we got in there, as well as very clean. The pool area was great. Clean pool and newer patio furniture out there to sit. The only thing that was even remotely negative was that room service doesn't automatically make your beds unless you request. But everything else was great. Likely to return here.

The room was clean and well stocked though it was a little small for an extended stay. The bathroom is pretty tight also. The breakfast offerings were very good and they had a nice variety of items. The hotel is convenient to everything in Chillicothe.

Closest to Tecumseh but can be tricky to find as others have said. The road it is on could use some work, directions to the lot should have signs. Located directly behind the LNCB National Bank, take the road to the right.

We had a queen handicap room (that being what was available). The desk clerk was very good about working with us on a rate that met our needs since we arrived without reservations. The room was nice enough; the breakfast was very good.

Front desk responded to all my needs, room close to an exit so I could smoke, directed me to my dining choices within walking distance, the room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. I will return to this hotel in the future.

Good price for a great place. Clean, well maintained, helpful and friendly staff. We asked to see the room because of bad experiences with some of the other hotels during our trip and the receptionist gladly helped us and was so kind in helping us get settled.

Spent the night here for a funeral for the wife's grandmother. Was a nice hotel, clean and comfortable, friendly staff. Overall a very good hotel for a night or two, at a very good price. Good internet and good breakfast in the morning. Look is slightly dated and older it is very comfortable and clean.

Stayed one night while traveling. Hotel is a little tricky to find and is in a rather unusual location-kind of behind a restaurant and strip mall. Took forever to check in because there was one person at the reception desk and there was some issue with the reservation of the gentleman in front of me. Finally another person came in and helped get that straight and checked me in. When we were bringing in our luggage, we passed several people in the parking lot and hallways who looked a little 'sketchy' and I felt a little uneasy. We ended up getting dinner and bringing it back to the lobby area and ate at the tables set up for breakfast. While eating we noticed several random people going into the office area and just hanging out. They were not dressed as employees. This was also the case the next morning when we checked out. Breakfast was mediocre; just the typical selections. There is no elevator, so if steps are a problem for you, you will need a room on the first floor. I would not stay here again. The room was okay, but I did not feel comfortable here.

Management was very proud of this 50 year old motel and they should be. It is up to date and kept very clean. It is very soundly built and quiet. If anyone was running around we couldn't hear them. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was good. Plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area, We started traveling on US23 north instead of 75 and this is a perfect place to stay. If you were in the military let them know and save a few bucks.

I've been to this hotel on quite a few occasions and I've always been more than impressed. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a quiet spot near US Route 23 and US Route 35. Vicky and Amanda are truly what “great customer service” is all about. They're both warm and welcoming and take the time to get know people. I will definitely stay here again and again

My wife and I stopped here while enroute back to Minnesota. We had a little trouble finding the motel but it turned out worth the looking. We were checked in very quickly by a very friendly young lady. The room was very clean, well lighted, the Wi-Fi & TV worked well and and the bottom line it was very quiet. The motel was very nicely located to many eating establishments within easy walking. We left the next morning after having a wonderful hot breakfast. We will stop here again the next time we pass through town.

I was schedule to stay at this location for ten days and almost everyday the hotel never made the beds, but only threw the covers on each bed. I reported this to the front desk numerous times only to get the "I don't know" response. Terrible, just terrible.

Sets back off the main road, not next to expressway, so I never hear the traffic like others I've stayed at there. All non smoking and no pets is a bonus after having fleas at another hotel with pets. Pool is great during the summer, wish they had workout room for winter. A bit older property, but works well for the time I'm there. Nice choices for breakfast.

Upon arrival employees were very friendly and inviting and informative of info needed. I didn't spend much time in my room during the day, out doing what I was in town for. I was here for 3 days. Once my trash was full I decided to empty it and when I pulled the bag out, that trash can was disgusting. Went to put drink in frige and upon first glance it looks clean until you bend down to set things on shelf and you can see all the previous bottle and can 'rings' on the shelves, etc...where it was not cleaned from previous stay/s. Went to use blow dryer...OMG there it was filthy...opted not to use. Changed toilet paper on last evening there and had to take off rod to put new role on...completely filthy inside. Hair on top of the ceiling in bathroom, all kinds of stuff on the walls under the sink...lamps dirty and the list goes on. On second day of my 3 day stay I had to go to clerk to find out why my card would not allow me to enter my room....not fun to do when you have to go through a few doors with your hands full of stuff...no explanation but she did something and handed it back and said it's good now....so I went on as I was tired. Got into room and the wifi code previously given was no longer good...apparently they change it spot on week to week - which I found out after calling the desk to see what the issue was. Glad they do this but if you have a guest staying during a change that you know is taking place...How about call your guests and giving them the knew info in advance. I will say if you are looking for a reasonable stay, convenient to all of Chillicothe and friendly employees...but not caring about cleanliness....this is your place. I will say the bed was comfortable.

I thoroughly enjoy this hotel Everytime I stay here, the staff are always helpful with everything, they always make sure I am comfortable and extremely well mannered. I have never had a problem when staying here. I highly recommend staying here whenever pissible. Very reasonably priced for a very good quality hotel!

We were impressed. The room was very clean, the shower was strong, the beds were very comfortable. Most impressed with the complimentary breakfast...bacon, omelets, fried eggs, pan cakes, toast and biscuits with gravy.

Book early. Breakfast more than sufficient and can be provided outdoors by the pool area. No elevator so if need main floor request at time of booking. Close to a number of restaurants within walking distance

Friendly professional staff - customer oriented - clean room - everything worked - excellent value for the price. Easy in and out, got free water and a paper at check-in. No problems during the stay. Good lighting around hotel exterior and easy parking.

Very friendly staff at check in and check out desk. They gave us a very good recommendation for dinner the night we arrived, which was a good choice. The room gave us all we needed. Beds were a little firm, but we slept well. The shower area was small, but we made do. Our room had 2 beds. Room had all we needed. The breakfast area gave us what we needed to start the new day. We considered this place an EXCELLENT VALUE as a place to stay.

Not a bad place to stay when in the area. The room was clean and free of odor. We found a dead bug upon entering the room . . . better dead than alive! The bed was comfortable and the amenities provided in the bathroom were better than some 4 and 5 star hotels. Breakfast was nothing to write home about but served it's purpose. Lots of smokers standing outside the doors puffing away upon coming and going. Personally, walking through cigarette smoke is not my idea of enjoyable.

This is a small Best Western that is located off of the main road and away from traffic noise. Our room and bathroom were very clean as was the main lobby, breakfast area, and pool. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast had a variety of food and was good. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our stay in order to attend the Tecumseh outdoor drama.

this room is somewhat hidden off the main drag. It is starting to show it's age in the rooms which are a little dated. The rooms have coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. All works well. However the breakfast buffet makes up for all else. It offers eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, pancakes made to order, coffee, yogurt, cereal, and even cream filled donuts! One of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had!

Hotel was very clean. It is kinda hard to find since it is hidden in a shoppping area. Don't let the looks deceive you. Stafff was friendly and my stay was very quiet. Even with it being in a shopping area

For A Best Western this was a 10. From the moment I checked in to getting into my room it was perfect. Rooms are updated, clean, and well cared for. They have plenty of pillows and a surprising assortment of toiletries including toothpaste and a tooth brush... For what this is, it's a excellent hotel.

The room was clean, the staff were helpful, it has everything I needed. The location is near a bunch of restaurants and stores, and they offer breakfast as well as really good internet. And for the price, I cannot complain. Highly recommend!

Nine of us arrived at the same time to 'check in' and Vicky? on the front desk handled the task with professionalism and patience...well done! Rooms were clean and comfortable..the first room assigned had a bathroom sink which did not drain properly. Within 5 or so minutes we were assigned a new room with apologies from the front desk. Well done and thanks to the management team and the front desk staff.

The house keeper began knocking on our room door 20 minutes before checkout. Rushing us to hurry up and leave.... she was very rude about the whole situation. I spent over 170$ dollars for just one night

The stay at the BW in Chillicothe, was exceptional. The staff was always nice and accommodating to our needs and the breakfast was a nice addition to have as we were working there at a jobsite. Appreciate the front desk help on any questions or issues we may have had.

Travelling for business and stayed 4 nights. The location is OK but there are no sidewalks and somewhat narrow road edged until you reach the bridge into town about 1-1.5 miles down the road. There are several chain restaurants nearby and a reasonable walk to more unique restaurants downtown. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean In room coffee and decaf and more at the front desk. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. Breakfast was typical with a pancake machine that made fresh. No complaints.

Perfect for a traveler like myself. Great location. Dozens of restaurants in walking distance, and pretty much any major store you can think of on the same strip. Nicely laid-out room. King-size bed, desk, two chairs, refrigerator, microwave, and a big HD tv. I was impressed with the generous display of toiletries in the bathroom. Along with the soaps, there were coffee packets, razor/ shaving cream, shower cap, tooth brush/ paste, a makeup remover wipe, and a mini sewing kit. Figuratively everything you could want in a bathroom, and then some. Fast and free internet, as well as a nice selection of channels. Sports fans will rejoice. Breakfast was fully stocked, I think everyone could find something they would like. And the staff was friendly. Shoutout to Josh who checked me in, guy is really cool. Also, the maintenance and cleaning team must be good at their job, because everything was clean and in working order. I can't think of any negatives, it checked all of my boxes. I'm shocked it's not closer to 5-stars, there must be some Picky Patty's staying here.

A great night sleep in a very clean place. Location in shopping plaza a little awkward but a great value and very quiet. Wonderful breakfast with plenty of seating. Plan to stay again on our return home.

Rooms are the size of closets and mostly appear worn out and dated. Bed was like sleeping on floor and very uncomfortable. Does not honor rewards program either, plenty of better choices in the area, won't be back.

Hotel is located behind LCNB bank about 1/4 mile off Hwy 35. Our room was small,but adequate for an overnight stay. The room was clean & had an updated carpet. Room included a microwave, frig, radio alarm and a large flat-screen TV with lots of channels. For Breakfast, there were a variety of cereals, oatmeal packets, biscuits & gravy, pancake maker, yogurt, full size sweet rolls, egg patties & hard boiled eggs, bananas, oranges & apples Vicky, who checked us in, is a Joy!

I've stayed at this hotel on several occasions and I'm always very impressed. The staff is unbelievable here. Amanda always takes care of me when I'm here and goes above and beyond to make sure I have the best stay possible. Vicky is super sweet and welcoming when I check in. That's a great vibe. Randle is always friendly and helpful when I stay here. And Clark has gone out of his way to accommodate me on more than one occasion as well. I've had a few minor issues here, but the staff here is always on top of everything, so I'm never worried if there's a problem. This is a hotel that has people who really care. I will return again and again.

This hotel is between two popular restaurant/bars. The walls between rooms and to the outside are rather thin. We found the coming and going of revved up truck engines in the adjacent parking lots until the wee small hours of the morning to be too disruptive for our small children to sleep well. The beds were hard, and they didn't come with a comforter, just a sheet and blanket (and no additional options for layers in any of the closets). The staff never smiled at us. Otherwise, the hotel was clean, safe and warm with a decent breakfast. It's a fine place to stay for just one night, but we won't be going back.

Room was clean, bed and pillows very comfy. Everything worked - all the lights, water pressure and temperature control were good. I especially liked that the A/C -heat unit was away from the bed so the air did not blow on you all night when trying to sleep. Nice variety at breakfast, all the staff were very friendly. Quiet solidly built hotel, off the highway. Glad I read other reviews to know it was behind other businesses otherwise would have been difficult to find at night. Just look for their sign on the street and turn in. We actually stayed there twice in one trip, on the way out, then didn't bother to look elsewhere and just made a point of stopping there on the way back.

This hotel was very clean and featured a great price for a room. It looked as though the hotel has been remolded/updated in the last couple of years. The gentleman at the checkin desk was very friendly and made the process very easy. The beds and pillows were very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was good. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This was my first time at this hotel and I was completely satisfied. I have Diamond Select and I was given an upgrade and I was totally pleased with the room. Randie was really nice about giving me the upgrade and answered all my questions. Amanda and Connie were also super helpful and pleasant. Nicole is a great manager as well. Keeps this place running smooth as silk. And Vicky was super sweet. She's new here but she's doing a great job and definitely knows what hospitality is all about. A+ stay. I will definitely return

While this site has no indoor pool, it is otherwise comparable to other properties costing at least $50 more each night. The room was clean and comfy, and the king-size bed was VERY comfortable. The staff is courteous and efficient. Just be forewarned--the hot water is HOT!!

We stayed for two nights in this nice hotel. We received a very warm welcome and got a fine room. In the morning the breakfast was great and the staff very friendly. It is a good place from which we visited Chillicothe, a very interesting city with a lot of culture and history.

Let's start with the good part about the BW Adena Inn. The owner and the people working there are truly friendly and helpful and it was fairly cheap place to stay. But with that last part comes a downside: there's obviously little money to keep the hotel look nice. We saw places that were kinda rundown and fatigued. But the room was fairly modern though and it was clean. The hot breakfast was good as well. So, not bad for the night. But if you want a nice looking place, there's other choices.

Stayed here one night, it was perfectly fine, and the rate was good. The room was very clean, and had everything we needed. The people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate, about what you expect (there were doughnuts, which you don't always see). If I were in the area I would stay here again.

The Staff as a whole were very helpful and cheerful and accommodating! I really enjoyed the cold water and snacks available for the guest during the weekend and was very impressed with the wash station for the mototcycles.

Very good hotel at a reasonable price. Staff was very helpful with local attractions including printing out a map for directions. Hot breakfast was comparable to more expensive hotels. Rooms were clean and updated.

We stayed at this hotel for one night during our trip to see Tecumseh! It was a great location, perfect to get to the theater and close by shopping/restaurants. Staff services was very good and we ran into no issues!

Do not stay here if you want to work yourself to death. No elevator. Since when does someone want to stay in a place where you have to struggle up a flight of stairs with your luggage. When I pay for a place to stay, I want comfort not cheep, stressful situation. I could not be the first to complain. So why hasn't management done something about this.

I stayed here on my way home from visiting my son at the BSA Jamboree in WV. It was a decent place to stop just off Chillocothe's main road. The room was nice and comfortable with a microwave oven and a fridge. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was great. My only negative was the neglect of the staff to pick up the excessive amount of cigarette butts the were outside the hotel door I used to get to my room. Nonetheless, this hotel is a good value for the money.

Typical BW....room was fairly clean (not spotless like it should be), the bed was okay, things were pretty quiet. Nothing was really wrong, I just wasn't knocked over...especially for the price: $140 for a hotel in Chillicothe is a bit much. But hey, it was my choice to stay there. The included breakfast was appreciated (although a pan of nothing but egg whites is a little weird). Good donuts. You could do a lot worse, I suppose....but, for the money, I would expect more.

The hotel has nice decor. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast had an expanded breakfast, with changing protein each morning. The egg white option was rubbery and overcooked. The other omelets were good, with a little bit of seasoning. The tv in our room was not displaying channels correctly, but the staff was diligent to try and fix the problem. Pool is outside and comfortable. The double rooms are a bit small between the furniture fixtures. The hotel is tucked behind a bank, beware of the bank's potholes. It was still a nice stay and would recommend it.

This is a very nice little best western with clean rooms and plenty of amenities to offer. It's in a quiet location, but still close to lots of things to do. Staff was friendly and plenty of parking is available. Comfy beds.

Great comfortable rooms clean and well appointed. Know elevator but still wheelchair accessible. Large truck parking at south end of hotel. Shopping and less then walk or two minutes drive. Movie theater walk distance.

We checked in very late at night as were driving cross-country. The check in woman was super nice and friendly and we got into our room quickly. Hot water in the shower was nice and a great, quick breakfast on our way out the door.

In town with kids to see tecumseh. Kids swam in hotel pool before show. Friendly staff, clean room. Small beds but we knew that at booking. Excellent location . Nothing to complain about. We would stay there again.

I have stayed here numerous days each month over the past 6 years, The beds and pillows are very comfy. Bed linens and towels are soft and super white. Bathrooms are very clean. Breakfast is well presented and well stocked with healthy options as well as comfort food.

Not really what I expected of a Best Western. Being a member of the rewards plan I am a little disappointed more and more of the Best Westerns and this one was again wasn't what I expected. The entrance was a bear to find. The property from the outside wasn't really inviting. The staff was very cordial but the hotel was in need of updating.

A decent hotel but too expensive for the type of hotel it is. My room was right next to a parking lot of a Wings restaurant that was extremely loud with shouting, blaring car stereos, and revving engines into the night. The hotel is behind a bank so hard to see from the road. The parking lot is full of pot holes, ruts, and drop offs. There are no automatic doors so keep a hand free when bringing in luggage. Fridge and microwave in room.

Overall, this is a fairly average hotel. As others have noted, finding the entrance is a bit awkward when you first arrive. My advice would be to look for the sign and then just turn in at what appears to be an alley, right next to the sign. The hotel sits quite a bit back from the main road. Anyway, this is obviously an older establishment, though it seems to be wearing its age fairly well. It is well kept up, and the room was clean, pretty much odor free, and comfortable, if a bit on the small side. The mattress was VERY firm--almost too firm for my taste, though I like a fairly firm mattress. The lighting was contemporary and cold. (I like the warmer type of lighting better, but that is a matter of personal taste.) The room included a decent office chair that was pretty comfortable (for what it is), but the other chair in the room was not so much. It would be nice to have a more comfortable recliner, but I doubt one would fit in this room comfortably. There is no elevator, so if you're on the second floor, you'll need to be able to navigate steps. The room had a truly great shower, though the curtain was not sufficient to keep water from spreading across the bathroom floor. Also, there was no fan or apparent exhaust system in the bathroom. The toilet in this room was VERY noisy when flushed--and so was every other toilet in the place, as we seemed to be able to hear them all. They offer coffee 24 hours a day, which I always appreciate. We never tried the breakfast, though, so I can't comment on that. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The biggest problem they had to deal with in my case was the fact that our key cards kept losing their data, and we had to keep getting them re-magnetized.

We were not advised that a roof replacement was going to occur when we made a reservation. We got into our room after midnight and by 8:00am we were awakened to enormous pounding directly above our heads. It continued until we left, making it impossible to remain in the room let alone sleep. A small part of the ceiling fell, and dust went all over our clothing and luggage. The front desk senior person only seemed to be concerned about her dear ceiling and nothing at all for us.

I'd call the Best Western a quality step above Red Roof Inn and a little below Hampton Inn. The decorating is tasteful, furnishings in dining room upscale, Free Breakfast, NO PETS and NO Smoking to worry about, easy Wifi access, clean, and comfortable. I do have one problem with the entry drive beside the bank like you're going down an alley overgrown by trees to who knows where. Not a safe feeling. Asphalt needs severe repair, deep pot holes. Other than the obstacle course getting into the place, its' nice. It's a touch pricey as on this trip I got the same price from Hampton Inn and Crown Plaza.

Stayed one night here due to it being approximately half way on my trip to Michigan. Nice quiet location with a wonderful free breakfast and free wi-fi. Busy area with many good restaurants also close by. Price was reasonable and the staff was friendly and efficient. Will more than likely continue to make this my stopping point on future trips.

Don't judge by the potholed out of the way somewhat confusing entrance drive. The room was clean and our stay was uneventful and quiet ( that is a good thing ). Breakfast was lean and no staff in sight. Stay was good for price.

The front desk staff was great! We ran into an issue one night and while they were unable to help us that night, they more than made up for it by giving us that rare and unexpected room upgrade. It seemed they were the kind of people who genuinely cared about us having a great stay. They also had good breakfast and the cheapest rates in the area. Their cleaning staff, while nice, did not do a great job in the room. A few minor things undone, like a trash bag not being put into a bin, small pieces of trash left on the floor, stuff like that. Very minor issue overall.

Clean and orderly room. Young man that checked us in was most helpful. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise as it was well stocked and had a lot of choices. (More than most other places we have stayed.) The location is a little had to find as it is down a lane that did not appear to be a city street.

We enjoyed our selves. The Hotel was in a great location to walk to restaurants. The bed was large and comfortable. We did see ants. And if we left and thing set the ants were on it. Other than that we had a good stay.

Very comfortable stay. My husband has a terminal illness and we are using this time to drive and visit all 7 of our children and 10 grandchildren. This hotel staff treated us with great kindness. We we're very appreciative.

The room was nice and very clean. It is obvious that the staff is well-trained by management. The front desk staff was VERY friendly and even called the room, after we checked in, to make sure everything was satisfactory in the room. The ONLY issue was figuring our where their drive way is. They share an entrance with a bank and there are no signs at ground level.

Very clean & staff were all very nice. Booked thru hotels.com - was easy & got the last king bed available. Lots of places to eat & shop within a mile We ate at Buffalo Wild Wings since we could walk. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean & nice it was. More like a midsize room but s large refridge & micro wave. Breakfast & coffee were hot & tasted great. Recommend this spot highly!!

I have been staying at BW Adena numerous times a month over the past 5 years. This hotel has very recently completed their room renovations started a couple years ago with new furniture. This hotel is smaller then most in Chillicothe and is set back from St .St 23, This adds to it being really quiet. The entire property is meticulously maintained and rooms are extremely clean and smell fresh, not of disinfectant. Breakfast now starts at 5am and is a blend of hot comfort, stick to your ribs foot along with healthier options for those with diabetes or watching their weight,

I got this room at the last minute and was given the handicapped room, which was on the ground floor with a queen bed ans walk-in shower. The decor was very pleasant and current. My room was very comfortable, clean and had a great TV, along with a sleek microwave and fridge. Several restaurants are yards away and breakfast is offered. I slept like a baby...

NO ELEVATOR. What if you are handicapped? Like me!!!! The beds are like rocks. No box springs? The soaps/shampoo's wouldn't even lather. Only two towels for two people. Asked for more – never received them. THE SMELL OF RAW SUAGE WAS AWFUL!!! The parking lot was nasty. Cable hardly worked at all.

Last minute reservation, everyone was helpful and attentive. Amanda arranged first floor room upon request as I have a bad hip. At breakfast there was more than plenty to eat and a good variety! Even almond milk! Staff makes the hotel, helpful and friendly!! Clean, QUIET room made for a much needed nights sleep. Would stay again!

A standard double hotel room, slightly outdated. Beds very average and space average.The staff was friendly and they have a free breakfast in the morning. Double beds are pretty small when trying to fit a family.

As always, the hotel is extremely clean and all the staff treat you like family. The new furniture, sheers, drape and bed covers complete the remodel started a couple years ago. I stayed here three times this summer. The pool is awesome. The staff is the best. Thank you for taking such good care of me! Clean, clean, clean! Two things - there is no elevator so indicate if you need ground floor. The breakfast could be better but the choices need to come from higher up. Real butter please! I stayed here all three times because this kind of service and comfort are uncommon.

I work a 2nd and 3rd shift schedule, some on which is on call. I can be up all night. The hotel is usually quiet even when fully booked. I appreciate I can still have a breakfast to go as I usually sleep until 10-11am.

Off the road so that it is nice and quiet and yet in the midst of all major restaurants and shopping services makes it a great stop for the evening or longer. And this is also probably the closest hotel to the outdoor drama, Tecumseh. By the time you read this all of the rooms will have new furniture and carpeting. This along with excellent housekeeping and maintenance staff make this a place you can be confident of having a pleasant overnight experience.

Normally we love BW but this particular one fell way below its high standards. There was soap scum in the soap dish on the sink and new bars placed on top. There was a left over soap bar in the shower. Bathroom floor was dirty, found hairs and debris on floor and behind toilet and carpet was never vacuumed because we found lint and hair on floor. Stayed for two nights and we could not unpack because hotel was undergoing new furniture and were left a note saying to keep drawers empty. Toiletries were not replaced the next day so we had to call and ask for some so we could shower. Frig bar was broken. There was an odor in the room. We complained on the way out figuring it would be clean before we got back and it was not. Not BW standards at all!!!

Needed a room for after the Tecumseh performance. This hotel is close, very clean (very important to me) and comfortable. I would gladly stay again if in the area. My only concern was that I had a room with 2 beds and it was on the small side. However, we did not spend a lot of time in the room so it was fine. Beds were wonderful.

Will not use trip advisor again. They have no way of fixing the booking if the dates need changed after the booking. Very unhelpful, had to pay for nights that were not occupied, and received no confirmation calls from the hotel because it was book through Trip Advisor. After discussion with Trip Advisor, just have to absorb the unused days, which every other site, Expedia, Orbitz, and Travelocity that I have used have been more useful. Suggest booking direct or with another site and save yourself the lack of confidence in Trip Advisor.

I am always greeted warmly even coming in at 2am. The staff knows my room preferences, Iike extra bath towels and a late check out due to working 2nd and 3rd shift. All rooms have a mini fridge and microwave which is extremely convenient.

Just left the Best Western, and we were very comfortable here. Getting there of the main highway is easy, just had a blind driveway. Once you're there it's quiet and clean. The front desk gentleman was super friendly and fun.

This hotel was okay. It was not exceptional in any way. It was not bad in any way. It was adequate for our needs. If we came to the area again we would be okay staying again. We always try to find a Best Western because they are always at least average and usually very good or excellent.

Traveling back to our soon to be former residence when we stayed at this motel. When we travel we try for Best Western, as we find them almost always a great places to stay. This facility was no exception. Friendly, helpful staff, clean, neat facility. If we return this way on our return trip to new home, we will stay here.

The front desk was wonderful when we checked ked in, accommodated our requests from our reservations. Knew who we were when we got there. The room had a musty smell to it and the A/C didn't feel very cold, had it set at 62 but it definitely wasn't 62 in the room. All in all, good experience but not worth the price.

This motel is located close to where the Tecumseh drama is presented, so it is definitely convenient for those people in town for that purpose. Also, the service was great; motel staff members were friendly and helpful. The property itself, however, needs some updating; there was a worn appearance to the suite my husband and I stayed in. It didn't look quite clean. The mattress seemed worn and wasn't especially comfortable. One thing we did like was the shower; unlike those in most motels today, it actually felt like water was coming out with some pressure. Breakfast was fine. The thing we liked least about the motel was the price which seemed unreasonably high, probably because of being located close to the Tecumseh drama.

Entering the road to hotel was a bad road and overgrown. The first thing you notice when see building was all the wire and cables going to front. Would not recommend. Staff was friendly but could not overshadow the impression of hotel location. Seemed an unsafe area.

We had a king room on the first floor. The room was small but clean. It had a refrigerator and microwave in the room. The pillows were very soft and I could have used more support. The breakfast area is in the lobby and was very small but the food available was surprisingly good and complete. There were both hot and cold items. We did not hear any noise from the rooms next to us or the hallway. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel and would recommend it to others visiting this area.

I stay at Best Western Adena 1-2x monthly over the past 5 years. The staff and service are top notch. The beds and pillows are extremely comfortable; the bathrooms are spotless. The towels and bed linens are spotless. I always am able to sleep well. Every room has a microwave and mini fridge, which is a great convenience.

This is the worst review I have ever had to write. Staff ignored reservation and gave a non handicap room when it was confirmed via email.When we reported problem to staff they first said that if we had even "opened the soap" they would not consider changing our room. Hotel was dirty. We had to go to a local store to get Lysol wipes.A tail gate party was withing 5' of our room until 10pm. Odors and talk permeated the room. Noise continued until after midnight. If we thought we could have gotten another room in town we would have left.. We felt staff was uncaring and would not listen to our problems from the start.

Quiet and comfortable, convenient to the highway. Close to lots of meal options. In-house breakfast was nice with plenty of choice, and a pancake machine! The staff was friendly and helpful. We were passing through on a road trip and were lucky to find the Best Western Adena. It was clean, safe/low key area, and considerate staff. The breakfast exceeded our expectations - just with little details, like blueberry syrup for the made to order pancakes (an automatic pancake machine) and tasty donuts from the local donut shop. Oh, and watermelon limeade! So, not your average free breakfast. We would definitely stay here again if passing through.

This is the closest hotel we could find to Athens Ohio for graduation 2016, it was just under an hour trip to get to the University. Price of this hotel was pretty normal, and the room was very clean, comfy beds, hot shower, free wifi, free breakfast. The only problem we didn't know where to get in this property we turned into the shopping center parking couldn't get through, has to go down a little street almost looked like an alley.

We stayed here because my granddaughter had a dental appointment early the next morning.The front office staff were pleasant and very helpful. The room was very clean and beds extremely comfortable. The room was also quiet. Many restaurant and food choices very close to the hotel.

The room was excellent, very clean and well maintained, couldn't ask for anything better, beds were very comfortable, clean crisp sheets, slept like a baby, tucked just far enough away from road, not noisy at all, stayed the weekend, will definitely recommend this to anyone, the complimentary breakfast was very good.

We spent 1 night at this Hotel. The room was nicely furnished and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The employees were very friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Amanda. She was so nice and recommended a great local place for supper. The breakfast was ok. Overall, it was a great experience and we would stay here again when we are in the area.

Upon arrival I pulled back bed linens to check for creepy, crawlies-I found the most cleanest sheets and mattress covering I have ever experienced at a hotel! I will certainly stay here again when I am in town!

I have stayed here several times a month over the past 5 years. The beds and pillows are very comfortable, linens are clean and fresh smelling. The towels are sparkling white and thick, bathrooms are spotless. Breakfast has been upgraded to include breakfast meat. All the staff are friendly and professional.

Very clean, friendly staff. Convenient location, great rates. Close to shopping, food, fuel, etc. Definitely would stay here again. This hotel is very accommodating and the staff is friendly and willing to help anytime.

Nice, new hotel. Two level. Rooms on either side of the length of the bldng. You pay more here and feel like you're among a higher class of people. 37" flat screen tv, small fridge, small microwave. The room is a little small for the price you pay. Downsides: Above the desk, in the corner of the ceiling are some dirty cobwebs and a crack in the ceiling. Just 10 or 15 feet south of this Best Western is the parking lot for a strip mall nearby. (you can hear the cars coming until the mall closes) The doors at this Best Western are all spring-loaded and they resist being opened and then slam shut when you let go. So you hear doors slamming from time to time as other guests come and go. The wall heating /cooling unit seems to have a built in fan that runs even after you hit the Off button. It cycles on and off, and while it's not that noisy, it seems to be pulling outside air into the room (even with the unit is off). That might be ok when it's 72* out, but tonight it's in the lower 40's and so it's blowing in cold air. So the only option is to leave the unit on the heat cycle all night, which it makes noise I could do without when I'm trying to sleep.

There was hair on the sheets, in the sink & on the night stand. One of the pillows had a spot of something that looked like blood. It wasn't just a stain because you could feel it. There was a piece of plastic sitting on the nightstand. If the bed hadn't been made then i would have thought the room hadn't been cleaned. Overall it was pretty gross & we won't be staying there again.

My wife and I travel twice a year to Texas and North Carolina. We stay in motels for two weeks, and we visit restaurants that are local or belong to a chain not located in our hometown. We visited the Best Western Adena Inn on December 1, 2015. US-35 leads near the motel, but the motel is hidden behind businesses on Bridge St. A Best Western sign marks a narrow driveway. Turn into that driveway. Since there is no elevator, I asked for a first floor room near an entrance. We were given a first floor room near a corner entrance to the building. It was a short haul of our luggage from car to room. A friendly clerk showed me how to find the room, using a floor diagram. Our room was compact and well appointed with a nice color scheme and abstract wall hangings. A desk, dresser, two beds, and chairs were all placed to take advantage of the space. There are many restaurants nearby. We skipped the breakfast for a nostalgic trip to a Big Boy Restaurant – not found in our area. The area around the hotel also had an Applebees, Pizza Hut, Walgreen's, and a shopping center. Return to US-35 was easy. We'd stay at the Adena Inn in the future if we take the same return route from North Carolina. Room Tip: No elevator. Unless you're a youthful athlete with light luggage, ask for a first floor room near an entrance.

I stayed here 12/1 and 12/2. I chose this hotel after reading all the good reviews. This hotel is just average and maybe less than. The bathtub had pubs all around it and so did the toilet when I checked in. The sheets looked like they had just been tucked back in and not changed from the previous occupant. Small rooms. I give it a 3 because the breakfast was very good. The front desk staff were pretty good also. Otherwise I would have rated it a 2.

best hotel for the money! clean and friendly staff. staff is also helpful and go out of their way for their guests! location is great its near resturaunts and stores. and a few craft stores and not far from a small park.

All the staff is always welcoming and very professional, always ready to help! The breakfast upgrade is very appreciated especially as the weather is turning cooler. Crispy bacon and soft, moist cheesy omelets.

I stayed here for 6 nights. Friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and a quiet location. Good location for food and shopping. I have stayed at other hotels in the area over the years but will definitely stay here again when I am back next year.

The staff was courteous, the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, and the in-room coffee was excellent. Breakfast was only "fair," but at least it offered a variety of choices. I would stay there again.

Very clean, comfortable atmosphere. Centralized location for any food, shopping and hunting needs. Kind and courteous staffing that go out of their way to make sure your stay is a stress free as possible. Internet could be a little better but worked fine throughout the stay.

When traveling in the US we prefer to stay at Best Western Hotels. Great value for a Great Price! The staff is knowledgable, friendly, up to date on what is happening in the area. If there are any problems they are handled quickly and they always call to make sure that the problem was solved. The reward program is a good incentive for us, as we have family members in Oklahoma which we visit often.

Chose this hotel as most economical option for a one-night stopover in Chillicothe. Negatives: Noisy bed (weird squeaky mattress), not-so-clean shower, back of hotel flush up against parking lot of chain restaurant, so we had constant starting/stopping vehicle traffic right outside our first floor room thru late night (when sports bar-type restaurant finally closed). Positives: friendly front desk associates, easy checkout. Breakfast average for hotel type, but flavorless coffee.

I was in the process of relocating to Dana Point CA for my job. One day Leslie La Berge- Sales Manager @ Best Western Marina Shores Hotel in Dana Point CA had stopped by my work and dropped off some Best Western Marina Shores Hotel promo info and a business card and said she could give me a great rate if I ever needed to stay at the hotel. A few weeks later I gave her a call and she took care of everything. I would have never had thought of staying at the Best Western Marina Shores Hotel if not for her efforts. At check Diana at the front desk was also very helpful. She even had an extra razor so I could shave that night. The entire staff was caring and professional. Was on our way home and had extra time so we stayed here. Again we were surprisedn that the clerk at this motel also knew where we lived and had an aunt that actually lives only 1/2 mile from us,and i knew her aunts late husband. The room was great clean and quiet. The breakfast was real good. Would stay there again if in the area. Was there on a Friday and the traffic was terrible as we are from a real small town and not used to it.

Passing through the area, we found the Best Western to be a good quality and good value. The staff helped with local directions and recommendations in town. Location is convenient to US 35 and accessible to all the amenities. Will stay there again as we continue to travel frequently in OH, WV & IN.

Spent 3 nights at various Best Westerns while on my birthday trip and all for free as i used points. Was here on a Friday so the traffic was terrible as i come from a town with just a little over 6,000 population. Thank God for a GPS. One gal at the counter even had some relatives in my town.

We decided to stay here because the TripAdvisor reviews were so good. They did not disappoint us. The staff was wonderful the rooms were very clean. This is an older hotel that is very well kept. Yes, as others have said, the room maybe a little smaller than newer hotels. However, they were plenty roomy enough for us. The only negative about our room was that the bathroom vent was not working and there was no switch to turn it on. The shower had plenty of force, and the bed was very comfortable. The TV was a nice HD LG. Those are the three most important things in a motel room to us. As others have said, the breakfast was very good. Although the dining area was rather small, it was never full during our two days there. Of course, we did eat after 8 a.m. both mornings. Since it was so comfortable and affordable, this is just what we look for when we travel. I felt we received good value for what we spent and we enjoyed the people we met at this hotel, both the staff and those eating breakfast the same time we did.

We were in the area to visit Hocking Hills State Park. This hotel was convenient, easy to get to. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was good and the pancake machine was a great touch. Would stay here again.

We were going to athens and because it was parents weekend we had to stay in Chillicothe. I wasn't sure what to expect, this hotel was very nice, and a great price. the other hotel in the area was almost twice as much.

This Best Western was reasonably priced with friendly, helpful staff. The room was clean but the bathroom tub/shower needed updating. There were many options for breakfast - hot and cold, and all were very good.

A little hard to find with the GPS. Exit on N. Bridge and look for the sign. Great location. Plenty of amenities nearby and very close to US-35. The beds were a little springy but the hotel staff was great. The breakfast is also worth mentioning.

We always read the reviews on any Motel we stay. This Motel had many good reviews and after staying we agreed with the good things that were said. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean even though a bit small. The lobby and eating area was nicely decorated to the season. The breakfast was mostly hot food that was tasty and presented well. The counters and tables were kept clean.

Adequate for the price ...not a star in the Best Western crown.. rooms are small ...no elevator....bathroom tiny...caulk dirty. The breakfast was surprisingly good...one of the best we had while on vacation...there arent enough seats for guests ....this is a small motel!
