Best Western Plus Executive Residency Carlsbad Hotel

We had an enjoyable experience here, If one wants to visit the Carlsbad Caverns like we did. The property is almost on the way out of town in the direction of the caverns. Once one gets to the main highway, turn left and go to the caverns. Turn right and travel through town to Roswell New Mexico. This appears to be a newer property, our room was freshly painted and clean. No noise issues, and the service was friendly. The fitness center was clean and fresh, with relatively new looking equipment. The one issue we had was getting to the property off of the main highway while following Google Maps. It sent us in a confusing and roundabout route. Once we initially got to the property, and learned how to navigate coming and going, it wasn't a problem.

So. This hotel was awful. First off there is construction going on all around it so there was an “alternative route” for getting in. Which was super confusing. Took you through quite a scary kind of neighborhood. The bed was really uncomfortable with noisy springs so literally every time we moved we got squeaks from the mattress. There was no hot water. We had to take lukewarm showers. They had the ac in the room set at 65 degrees. In march. It was COLD in that room. Breakfast was cold bacon was half cooked. Biscuits were burned. Honestly. Nothing good to say about this place at all. Sadly. At 150 a night they should be better

Overall, we were satisfied with the cleanliness of the hotel and sleeping room. The staff were friendly and the complimentary breakfast was good. The hotel is also conveniently located to Carlsbad Caverns National Park (about 25 - 30 minutes). The only thing to be aware of is that there is currently road construction going in the area, so it's a little trickly where to turn in for the hotel entrance. The good news was that it was not noisy during our stay.

Best hotel breakfast ever. The real eggs and real bacon (not powdered and fake like others) were awesome and much appreciated. Such a wide variety of choices and excellent service. The hotel was clean, well decorated, conveniently located and the staff was friendly. It was a great value. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it highly.

This was a great hotel to use if you are planning to visit Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe National Park. It's right off the main drag but use your GPS if you come in off of Patrick. The entrance off of 62 takes you right there but it's very bumpy right now. The hotel was very nice as was the breakfast.

There is nothing “Plus” or “executive “ about this BW besides the fact that it is a pretty new place. very bad sound proofing: on the top floor you hear the road as well as the neighbors TV and door banging. Minimum effort is put into breakfast: same exact unhealthy food every day, I had better in « basic « BW (and other 3 star hotels). Coffee tastes like instant coffee. Laundry way too expensive and Gym is minimal .

This hotel is just off a residential area and not next to the main road like most of the other hotels. It has recently been built and only open a short time. As you would expect it has a modern decor, the reception staff were polite and helpful. The room we had came equipped with lots of usb outlets, a hdmi outlet not sure what that was for, 50" tv, curtsey blinds, wifi was a good speed, nice shower and bath. I think the swimming pool was out of action when we visited but we were not going to use it. We were disappointed to leave and could not fault the hotel. It is located about a 25 minute drive to the caverns.

This is such a beautiful property!!! This inside is beautifully designed. The rooms are large and have everything you will need for a great night stay. Fitness Center is very modern and the outdoor patio area is so comfortable and spacious with 2 grills and a sink. The breakfast is so delicious and has a huge variety. The instant espresso machine is the coolest thing I've ever come across in all of the places I've stayed at. I give this place a 5 star. Best place in Carlsbad to stay.
