Je m’inscris We had a great stay. Very helpful staff. Our room was nice, clean. Linens were nice. Our location was perfect for our adventures-Fixer Upper Tour, Sunset Cruise on the Barza River, close to fantastic food n restaurants. We enjoyed the very clean n well attended to breakfast area.
I recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Waco North while attending a conference and had a great experience. The hotel is older, but it is very well maintained and clean. The highlight of my stay was the excellent customer service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and always ready to help with any requests. Additionally, the hotel is just a short drive to the Waco Convention Center, and the prices were lower than those of hotels closest to the facility. Definitely worth the few-minute drive if you want a fridge, microwave, and value-add pricing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
The breakfast was terrible for myself & other couples in the dining area, others had same complaints, we both fell ill trying to eat something...at least waffle we made was good
The Best Western Plus Waco was a very nice hotel for an overnight stay. Quiet, clean and comfortable with a very nice breakfast. Only downside was workout room equipment that needed repairs. Would definitely recommend if you are in the Wavo area.
Staff were very accommodating. We had a good room. The breakfast was very good. Area had many things to do. We found a wonderful restaurant to enjoy a nice dinner. We would return to this hotel again.
Needs a room renovation. Common areas are nice. Rooms are terrible. Roach in the bathroom and TV was barely standing. Breakfast was less than desirable. Worst Best Western we've stayed at. Do not recommend this motel.
I got into town and it was starting to get late. I saw Best Western Plus from the highway. I had always had good luck with Best Western so I decided to give them a try. They got me right in at a reasonable rate. The room was clean and there was a good breakfast in the morning.
They are really great I love the whole staff the rooms are always clean and the breakfast is always fresh we always stay at this location every time we come to town I never have a problem and if u do they take care of it quick fast and a hurry
Booking was easy and the front desk attendants were nice and professional. We had to change rooms because there was blood on the curtains and windowsill, the smell the room was sickening. The next room was better, but the A/C unit needs a true cleaning, it smelled like rotten eggs when it can on and caused allergic reactions. My son wanted to go swimming, but the pool was out of order. We checked out early.
We expect a clean, safe and welcoming place to stay overnight when traveling. Best Western Plus Waco North met our needs perfectly. The space in our room was generous allowing us a chance to spread-out our things to reorganize before continuing down the road. The staff was welcoming and helpful. A great experience all around
We typically stay here when in Waco. Hotel rooms are well kept. Good nights sleep. Complimentary breakfast is convenient. Low staff turnover. Same staff last 3 visits. Would book again. Good location. Good value.
My quote from BW's survey site: No fewer than three times did I contact employees to confirm that the adjoining rooms I'd rented were only $109 together as the price seemed very low. Three times I was told that was the correct price; even after I'd gotten two E-mail invoices that seemed suspiciously like the rooms were 109 each, not 109 "Both." Sure enough, after a miserable day and late enough into the evening that I needed to get family to bed, I get hit with two 109 charges. Misleading verbiage from your employees gets you a terrible review and no repeat business from me. The words "Both," and "each," have similar (yet very different) meanings and I very much feel that your employees were coached on how to mislead customers using them. Move on to the room: It smelled strange, but the very first thing I noticed is that the filter for the AC unit was broken. I'm still worried that you guys will try to blame/charge me for that. The AC unit was loud. So my family and I got to breath in unfiltered air from the marginally working AC that struggled, yet never managed, to keep a consistent temp in the room. Traffic was LOUD. Other customers were loud Loud LOUD. The bed was the worst I've ever slept on and I've spent two years deployed to a war zone; there's no comparison, I'd rather have slept on a cot in the middle of the desert than the uncomfortable catastrophe your company rented me. My body was so sore the next day from the scant few minutes of sleep I was able to actually scavenge from the ruined evening. I'd like to sarcastically thank you guys for the terrible experience that made me realize that living in a third world country for two years wasn't THAT bad, but I worry that you'll skim over this review, looking for some kind of phrase that could be taken out of context to praise your company.
Hotel is easy on easy off and onto Interstate 35. Hotel is very clean and has ample parking. Our room was on the back side of the hotel and there was no traffic noise. Lady working in the breakfast area was very pleasant and kept food supply constant.
This should not be Best Western hotel. Great employees, terrible room condition. Torn curtains, broken window, worn out carpet. This room does not meet Best Western standards. I'm a Diamond Member, over the last 5 years I stay in a Best Western hotel 60 times a year.
Employees were very good, even upgraded our room. . Nice location. Could hear a little road noise. Breakfast was adequate. Rooms were large and suite was great. Plenty of room and two tvs. Shower was nice.
I stayed at the Best Western, Waco for 5 nights. The room was clean. The maid service was great. The breakfast left much to be desired. It was the same thing every day. Eggs, sausage, potatoes. You could make your own toast. They had packaged pastries, orange and apple juice. The first 3 mornings the coffee was very weak, then for some reason it got better. The pool was not in operation for 3 days.
The drawers in the cabinet would not close causing a fall hazard while moving about the room., especially in the dark. The wall in the bathroom was peeling and looked very nasty. I could not get the security blinds to close adequately.
This review is based on a one night stay, in one ground floor room. Pros: Cheerful and helpful front desk, the beds were comfortable and breakfast was ok. Negatives: Construction On I 35 makes entry and exit to the property “interesting”. This property is literally right next to the highway so there is always freeway noise. The parking lot area is small and very limited, perhaps an early check-in might help you secure a better parking spot. Our room faced the back of the property, and our window was literally right up against a red fence, the drapes were extremely stained and torn and the screens on the windows needed to be replaced. The paint in the bathroom was peeling and we found food from a previous occupant between the furniture and the wall. (Took pictures) There was a constant stomping on the ceiling throughout the night and into the morning. When we asked the front desk about the noise, we were told it was maintenance crews that were there. Based on this experience I probably would not stay here again.
Qiuet, very clean and well kept. We love to travel the state and have stayed at tens of locations and were very pleased with this one. Don't normally use the pool but this location was the exception. Will certainly return.
The room was clean. Thomas at the front desk was very helpful and friendly. Our family stayed here on a trip to Magnolia. We would definitely stay again. No complaints. The location was perfect, comma we were only a few miles away from the Magnolia silos.
Comfortable room, friendly staff, good location with many coffee and fast food places nearby...pretty good Best Western style breakfast. No issues with the neighborhood as its all motels and restaurants.
This hotel has everything you need. Clean rooms, comfortable bed and pillows. It is older, but well kept. Good breakfast. Efficient, helpful breakfast staff. Difficult area to get around with all the construction.
This hotel I thought was going to be a better quality vs the south waco one…. But it fell short. It was ok for one night but nothing to truly write home about. The walls were filthy, the room had a musty odor and the linens had some stains. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. But this was a sub par hotel in my experience.
This was an admittedly pleasant experience for my party and myself. The rooms were very clean and orderly. The bed was very comfortable., slept great. The breakfast was very good. The crew were very nice and friendly. Only reason that I could not rate higher was road noise close to freeway under construction.
Great breakfast but the bed was as hard as the floor. Area under construction like the rest of Waco. Takes extra time to get there. Housekeeping did a good job of picking up and making the bed. I wouldn't stay here again just because of the old hard mattress. Didn't sleep much.
They have been above and beyond in terms of price and ease of reservation and have made the process getting my team booked at a very affordable cost very painless. If you are traveling with a group I would highly recommend using this Best Western Plus. Kudos!
Good hotel, in an area just outside of Waco. Clean, comfortable rooms. JP was very welcoming at check-in, great check-in experience. My only negative for the hotel would be the extremely narrow parking spaces.
Great environment, professional staff and very friendly. Clean environment. Definitely staying there next time! I love the homeliness of this location. JP at front desk greeted us with a big smile! He made our stay enjoyable
Great location Starbucks Cracker Barrel close. Right off interstate friendly helpful staff. Comfy quiet great wifi. Breakfast wasn't great but they definitely tried. Lots of construction all over town so again not their fault
Great stay in Waco. Hotel has good location and near restaurants. Good breakfast and service. Lady in breakfast area very helpful and friendly. Room very comfortable and bed was great....good night sleep.
This is our go to hotel when traveling in this area. Everything is always clean, the rooms are nice, and the beds are very comfortable. We love the 2 room suites. The rates are affordable and their front desk staff are nice and helpful.
My check in was exceptional. The gentleman at the front desk was courteous, gentlemanly, helpful, and was quick to add in my points and made sure all was perfect, then called my room to confirm all was good.
This location is awful being located immediately adjacent to to 35 interstate. So traffic noise is a huge issue. The property is also not well maintained and is dirty and needing so upgrades and maintenance.
WAY OVERPRICED! I paid $200 per night for a room that smelled like lysol and the carpet was old. The breakfast was minimal, although the lady in the dining room was very nice and helpful. No waffles! It is NOT WORTH what they charge. This hotel needs to be remodeled. Do yourself a favor and keep driving. Also, it's right off the freeway and the view is multiple cars and traffic noise.
I stayed here 2 nights. I would have moved promptly after getting to the room, but all other hotels in Waco were filled because it was Baylor's homecoming. The room was “worn out.” The carpet needed replacing, and I was hesitant to walk on it without shoes. The curtains were worn. The toilet in the bathroom was disgusting. It's seat was old and well-used, and the toilet had apparently not been cleaned well in some time. Its interior was disgusting, as shown in the attached photo. The room was $200 a night and was overpriced, even if all had been ok. I would suggest NOT staying at this hotel. I'm shocked that Best Western has classified it as a “Plus” hotel.
We were hesitant with all the construction around us, but upon arrival JP made us forget about it and we felt at home. He was knowledgeable and fun to talk too. We will definitely be back and hope to see JP. Thank you for having a great employee.
Waco North has all the quality and perks I appreciate about BW Plus. Everything was super clean. Pool area is well-maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful. - I appreciate the assistance finding a great rate for my Platinum Membership.
Myself, daughter and friends from Conroe, TX met up at this hotel w/ one from Stephenville, TX, for her birthday. The hotel was very gracious to allow us use of the breakfast area for a little birthday party w/ pizza and playing games till 12:30 a.m. We had a BLAST! When we were finished, we gathered and removed our trash and I brought Clorox wipes and wiped everything done to be ready for breakfast. Check in was great - I booked 2 rooms and without thinking to ask until later about getting connecting rooms, Andrew had us together! One room was beeping due to the fire alarm, but Andrew to the rescue, he was in the room fixing it within a couple of minutes of calling. The rooms are a nice size, bathroom linens were plentiful. Water pressure was GREAT! Bathroom is big. I love that the tub is a ceramic tub vs. plastic tubs (can't stand plastic tubs!) Tons of t.v. channels. OH and most important the everything was clean! We've planned to come here again in the future. We knew we would have fun, but the customer service at this hotel made it that much more enjoyable!
We only needed a room for one night. The front desk staff was super helpful and very friendly. Everything was very clean. There was coffee in the lobby and a continental breakfast in the morning. The pool was closed for maintenance, but a sign was posted on the front desk so you were aware upon arrival. The fitness center was small - 3 machines and a weights set and bench - but perfect enough to use during a brief stay.
Staffs are very exceptional expectations. They are very friendly, professional, courtesy and helpful. Breakfast has more variety to choose. Keep up the great work! Thank you. We will definitely come here again.
I enjoyed this hotel because it was convenient to downtown. We got a room on the back side which was very quiet. It is located right next to the highway but there is a partial barrier so the traffic noise was not bad. There is road construction going on but the access road was clear.
Nice, clean room with space to spread out. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were not those half size pillows. Good water pressure in the shower. Internet worked well. Good TV and plenty of channels. I liked the operable windows to air out the room. Nice sofa and standard desk area. The smoke detector beeped on arrival, but Andrew at the front desk was very prompt and fixed it. I later noticed that the door to the freezer compartment of the refrigerator was broken. This turned the whole refrigerator into a semi-freezer. I knew that there was no buffet breakfast and had brought my oatmeal. I thought the sign said there would be a sacked express breakfast, but I saw nothing laid out either morning. The main disappointment was no coffee machine in the morning. I made do with one cup from the coffee maker in my room, but I rely on my hotel to fill a couple of 20 oz containers to hold me through a day of travel. Had I known beforehand, I would have been OK with it and had a plan. A good value for the price. I'd stay here again.
The hotel was clean and comfortable. We got locked out of our room due to the batteries being dead in the door card reader and the manager was the only one with a master key to override the electronic portion of the door lock. Unfortunately he was 30 minutes away. His sons came to let us in so we could move our bags to another room down the hall. One of them showed up semi shirtless. Everyone was apologetic and we were provided a similar room. No other compensation for the inconvenience was offered and none was asked. The faucet in the replacement room leaked as much water out the back of it as it had coming out the front when you used it, It mostly all drained into the sink though. The breakfast was a grab and go brown bag consisting of a cutie type orange, a small prepackaged pastry, a granola bar, and a bottle of water. We were told this was due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I as at a similar hotel about a month ago and they provided coffee and other beverages and an assortment of hot & cold breakfast items with your stay at a lower nightly rate. The noise level was not too bad except in the morning when the traffic picked up on the interstate and the trash truck banged every dumpster several times. Overall, the staff was courteous and the rooms were comfortable but I will most probably look elsewhere next time I visit.
Very nice and clean. The other bestwestern in Woodway was awful and the manger there was extremely rude and unhelpful the rooms were filthyand the serviceswere abysmal. . At this one everyone was excellent and friendly
If you want to get covid, this is the place to go to. Whereas they post a mask requirement sign, they do not uphold. There was a little dirty barrier between the front desk staff and customers; the staff did not wear the masks. The elevators were full of grime, grasy finger prints, obviously not kept clean during this covid area. The customer service by Renethia or somethong like that was a joke! Rude, uncouth, unkempt and ignorant. Breakfast lol! a green apple and a miniwater. I wasnt expecting much for 60 bucks a night, but clean curtains would have been a start. Dirty elevators, and partially eaten food in the hallways was a bit much. Construction drilling on the first floor at 9am; really. Close the section and don't room people there!
Very very VERY dated hotel! Staff was nice but everything was so out of date. We had plumbing issue as soon as we arrived in the room, called the front desk and they offered to give US a plunger. Someone came promptly and fixed the issue. I couldn't help myself from comparing it with other Best Westerns I've been too.
While taking a shower the shower curtain fell on me. It created a tripping hazard and a wet floor. I feel that another room should have been offered. Instead of sticking the pole back in a broken bracket. My great grandson still needed a shower and I was concerned for his safety.
Stained sheets; drawer repeatedly opened on its own thruout night even w/ tape that was on it upon arrived. Water temperature in shower could not be adjusted.REFUSED to give final receipt on checkout.
Check In and Check out when smoothy. Very helpful. Room was clean. Hotel is an older hotel and it shows. The two drawers of the dresser would not stay closed and kept opening so my wife wedged a bath hand towel in the draw. That worked. The red light on the phone kept flashing and I tried to turn it off, another hand towel took care of the light. Lots of road construction on I35 and off ramps so it's hard to get to the hotel. My GPS failed to route me there with the road closures. The cold or hot free breakfast was average. No fruit and no pastry, however. Cereal, eggs, actual sausage links, and breakfast potatoes along with toast but no English Muffin. The muffin they served that morning was old and very dry. Bed was comfortable. Suggest parking in the rear for easy access to the elevator and rooms. Although an older hotel, the place was clean and the beds were good. We had a king bed. Heating was slow but it did the job. For the money, a great value if a simple breakfast is all you need.
We have stayed in this motel several times and each time was restful and the staff was very professional. Rooms were very clean and well stocked. The breakfasts were very good which included eggs, meat, potatoes, fruit, juice and other things (all you could ask for).
This is the only place to stay while in Waco. The manager and his staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. The rooms are extremely clean and the breakfast is always served hot and fresh. I have never had a bad expertise while staying at this hotel. Parking is a little tight for those who drive a larger truck.
Great clean, friendly staff.. Not to far from all the attractions in Downtown Waco.. Great Suite for the money. Clean looking pool and very new exercise equipment. Would I recommend and stay here again,? Yes I definitely would!!!!
This hotel has been apparently recently redone. The lobby was lovely with beautiful decorations going up an open staircase. The second floor had another very tastefully done sitting area. My room was a very nice king,I prefer a comfortable chair and ottoman but the deal chair was comfortable as well so worked fine. Very nice stay at a reasonable price.
The road construction outside the hotel was terrible but nothing they can do about that. Staff was friendly & helpful. Our room was clean and everything was in working order, though the toilet did have the strangest, long, high-pitched sound when flushing. The bed was comfortable and the noise from other rooms was minimal. The water is incredibly soft and made it feel as though no matter how much rinsing you did, you couldn't wash the soap off. All in all, nothing serious to report and we'd definitely stay here again.
This Best Western was very clean and located close to everything we wanted to do in Waco. We were near the university and Magnolia, as well as the Dr. Pepper Museum. Everything was so near to get to, not too mention the access to excellent places to eat as well. I highly recommend it to anyone who might be visiting the city in the near future.
My High School Cross Country team stayed at BW for the State Championship. Twenty plus kids and two coaches. Experienced staff at Best Western had our accommodations ready upon arrival. Quality service throughout stay.
We flew into Dallas from Or. rented a car and drove down to Waco. We had to navigate through alot of Highway Construction, so travelers beware! We arrived a bit early for check in but the room was ready, so they checked us in anyway. The ladies at the desk were very nice and very helpful with recommendations on where to eat, etc. We arrived at our room to find it very clean and well laid out. The hotel is right off of the highway but yet our room was quiet and peaceful. The hotel is very close to many stores and eateries. The only problem we had with the room was the phony coffee maker they have and the breakfast was not done as well as many others we've seen but not bad in any way Just powdered eggs, not a bunch of choices. great coffee though!!! and the nice lady that takes care of the food let me get coffee early...
The front desk hostess is the absolute BEST! Friendly and fast, offered snacks or points and sent us to a clean room that I loved! This is a great, clean hotel as they all should be but this is definitely a superior Best Western. I'm excited to come back to Waco and stay here again. Thank you.
This hotel is near everything there is to see and do in Waco. Right off the highway. The hotel was clean and quite. WiFi cable tv and a big shower. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were not. Breakfast was good waffles, boiled eggs, and sausage. Very affordable they have a gym, office area, and pool which is outside. They have towels for those who use the pool. I would recommend this hotel to anyone stopping in Waco.
We liked the location of the hotel. Very close to all the attractions and downtown Waco. Front desk lady wasn't the friendliest, but still friendlier than other hotels we've been to. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Overall good experience.
The hotel was decent and the people are friendly. Beds were hard, but not the worst. The breakfast gave no gluten free alternatives and had milk in the fake eggs. There was construction going on all around the hotel, so my truck was covered in mud when I left. Overall, it was clean and decent.
visited the faciltiy while on trip to west fest and waco. motel is easy to find and was what is expexcted from a best western. the area around the location has lots of constuction due to road work but it was easy to find and naviagte in and out of the area.
Great location near Baylor university. Many food options available. We bv usually stay at a best western. Traveling you can usually find a best western. Pricing is reasonable and affordable. Thank you best western.
We were very satisfied with this stay. The hotel was very clean, the beds were comfortable, they offer good amenities. A no frills but exactly what you need place to stay while traveling. The price was very reasonable. We would definitely stay here again.
I travel a lot, so I want convenient clean and quiet. I stay at Best Western off in, and this Best Western had the nicest room of all of them. And they put me on the first floor as I requested. I will probably stay there twice a month because of my prison ministry
Room was larger than expected and very clean staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were both handled very quickly and professionally. Had a very pleasant stay overall and look forward to the opportunity of staying here again.
Stayed here for 3 days and found it to be very clean and tidy at a good price. Close to all activities we needed and staff were very helpful. Good place to stay if on a budget, and worth looking at if you want a place to stay.
One of the prettiest Hotels I've had stayed. Nice Staff, Clean instalment, Pool, Comfortable Beds, a Library Area, Nice Living Room, Nice Porch with rocking chairs, Quiet Place, Breakfast Included, Affordable Rates, what else you can ask?.
Let me start by saying I've stayed in the Best Western chain going throughout the US. We like most of the ones we've stayed in........not this one. We always get the King bed suite for the extra stretching out room. This place when you walk in seems just fine until you open the door to the room. The newer carpet in the hallways and the lobby lull you into feeling good about the hotel. Then you walk into the room and it's dark and old with worn out furniture in the place. It had holes in it. The lighting is so bad and it's probably a good thing because I just didn't want to see the dirt that I knew had to be in there. The door to the bedroom wouldn't stay open so I had to prop the ironing board up against it to make it stay open. The Air never got cool! My husband went to the front desk and they were going to move us Into another room that was just as hot if not hotter until they found another room that was cool. Finally we settled in for the evening but I have to tell you I wasn't happy with the place. We've been traveling for a month now and have stayed in several hotels and this one is one of two that have ranked very low. They need to do some serious remodeling on the rooms. The sheets didn't even fit the bed. The toilet ran all night. Those are just the extra problems we encountered. Didn't stay for breakfast just wanted to get out of there in the morning. When I went to the front desk to check out no one ever came to the desk so I put the keys on the counter and left. My advice go a little further down the road and find a nicer place.
We stay at this property on a frequent bases ( weddings, family & other reasons). The staff is always glad to see us and remember who we are upon arrival. This visit, we took our neighbor who had never booked Best Western properties before this time.
Service at the Best Western Plus Waco North was top notch. A/C was not working in the first room and was quickly dealt with by front desk staff. Hotel is a quick drive to all nearby Waco attractions. The room was average. After staying at quite a few Best Westerns across the United States, I'd say this is a 3/5 in terms of function and aesthetics. Room as a whole needs a little bit of updating and bathroom could use more lighting. If you are looking for a hotel with no-thrills but quality service, this is the place for you. Overall, I think any guest would be satisfied with their stay at this Best Western.
This Best Western is a little hard to get to, off of the Interstate, but once you figure it out, it's not too bad. It has been updated, but could still use a few more touchups. One of the best parts of our trip was the staff. They went out of their way to speak, always smiling and helped with anything you asked of them. This is just North of Waco attractions, so it is just a short drive to them. Worth what you pay!!
This place needed updated I paid for nonsmoking room and it smelled horrible of cigarettes I spoke with lady working and she brought me some Lysol .the room was just dirty and very dated furniture was worn badly the only reason I stayed was everything else was sold out
We were in Waco for a basketball game. The location is excellent to get to the Ferrel Center and is near some good restaurants. Best of all, I was not confronted with dogs everywhere I went. We had stayed the night before at a motel in Dallas that has literally gone to the dogs. I like dogs but having a Rottweiler licking his chops at me and not knowing what the dog was going to do is not my idea of a relaxing situation. I will NOT stay at another motel in that other chain for this reason. It was nice to get to Waco and BW to unwind, relax and have a good stay.
Looks like it once was a Country Inn and Suites that is still in nice shape but a bit dated. Room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was good. Location to Waco and the Silos was good and hotel area seemed pretty safe.
Good service and quality overall. Beds were a bit hard. Breakfast had a good selection. Hotel very attractive. A little difficult to get to and the neighborhood was not that great, but the hotel itself was nice.
I am more of a Choice Motels person, but this room was secured by a friend I was speaking for in Waco. It was a very nice stay! The motel apparently used to be a part of another chain but was completely renovated. The carpet in the hallways was very nice and the decor was attractive. The staff was very friendly and I mean all of them! The ladies at the front desk never failed to say hello whether we were coming or going. The cleaning staff was terrific and really worked with us. They were never to busy to be a help! The breakfast was good. I've had better, but it was solid. The room was very comfortable and quiet. the shower was excellent with good water pressure and plenty of hot water. I would definitely stay here again! This is a very good choice. We stayed for a few days and it was nice and relaxing.
Best Western Plus Waco North was a nice, clean, safe hotel. The room was spacious and had plenty of storage. I thought the location was perfect for everything I wanted to see. Just a few quick minutes to Silos, Baylor and other Waco attractions. The wifi was absolutely awful, It was very slow and many times did not work at all. We were on the first floor and towards the middle of the building. I don't know if that had anything to do with the poor wifi but it was annoying to not be able to look anything up while traveling. I did not find the noise of the highway to be a problem as mentioned in other reviews.
Family vacation to visit daughter in Denver Colorado that we chose to drive. The one thing we knew was where we wanted to spend the night on the way was best western plus. My wife and I really like that feeling of being home when we are on the go.
The hotel is clean, obvious that they had a recent interior update. Breakfast was so-so, I've had better at other hotels. The second morning we opted for the Cracker Barrel nearby. The bed and pillows weren't the most comfortable. But by far, the worst thing about the hotel is the proximity to I35. It's a very busy highway and people in Texas don't seem to sleep! Since the building was older, the windows were not helpful in reducing the noise, nor providing insulation for the heat. And it was hot! I wish I had paid attention to other people's reviews regarding the noise and paid more for a better quality hotel. In the end, we decided to check out early, the staff told me they couldn't adjust the bill because I booked through a third party, however the website told us to talk to the hotel. We tried to talk to the manager, but the staff lied and told us she was at a funeral (we had seen her 5 minutes earlier). I don't think I'll ever stay at a Best Western again.
The breakfast bar was really good. The hotel was clean. Here are the issue we had the door to our room would not shut all the way, no skit mat in the tub husband almost fell in the tub and no extra blanket in the room. The pool was nice but not cold. Easy access to the highway.
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Clara was super helpful getting us moved into a different type of room and expediting it's cleaning and bringing us the key to our room. Highly recommended!
Expedia messed up our reservation, but the hotel staff took care of it quickly and professionally. Staff were friendly and hotel was CLEAN!Close to everything in Waco. Will definitely stay here again!
This is a fine hotel in most respects. However, it is situated in such a way that the 3rd Floor resounds with traffic noise from the adjacent freeway. Our room had other issues as well (leaking AC/wet carpet, nonfunctional bathroom fan), so the staff and management were accommodating and moved us to another (upgraded) room the second night. The second room was quiet and fully functional. The breakfast was above average. The staff was congenial.
Clean Hotel, close to the Downtown area, the Texas Rangers Museum. Several restaurants near the hotel; Luby's, Cracker Barrell, as well as several fast food restaurants. Provided a good rate on the room.
Found the WACO BW front desk service the best. Room and breakfast was typical but lacking in quality compared to other BW Plus hotels. However, I would recommend this hotel for at least one night. Enjoy
I enjoyed my stay and I am going to return it's probably the best motel in Waco they had breakfast you get stay until 12 and not 11on check out the bedroom comfortable had good cable on it I watch several movies
This hotel is older, but clean. I thought the value for the room and services rendered was poor. The hotel is extremely close to the interstate and very loud outside. However our room was quiet despite this fact. The staff is friendly. It still was not the value I expect from a Best Western hotel.
Nice room, good service. Highlight of the stay would be the breakfast bar, well maintained with a good variety of items. Rear room would be recommended as the Interstate is noisy and is busy all night.
Spent two nights here while visiting Magnolia Silos, etc... Very clean hotel. Room was nice and the staff was very friendly. Only five minutes from the Magnolia area. Plenty of eating & shopping nearby.
We had a quick stay from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. We were in a ground floor suite which had a small living room with a desk, couch, chair and TV, a standard bathroom and a small bedroom with a king sized bed. This was a nice unit, but our only complaint would bed the heating and cooling system. It had an actual thermostat with ceiling vents in all three areas which was great. But the unit itself was in the bedroom and very loud when it clicked off and on so we did not sleep well. Maybe it was just that suite? Oh, and the nice closet didn't have any hangers! LOL
Great hotel and the prices were a cheaper than driving all the way to Waco. We were only 5 miles out but with the interstate nearby we had no problems. I will stay here again if I come back to Waco. Reason for visiting Waco was to visit Magnolia Farms.
It was located close to the heart of everything without being to close. The breakfast was nice. Just make sure to check in as soon as you can so you can adjust the temp before you are in for the night.
Reasonably priced, this hotel was nice. There was no pool and the breakfast was average. We ordered pizza which was delivered right to our room. I would recommend asking for s room on the back side so there's less freeway noise.
Dead cockroach in the bathroom. How did cleaning staff miss this? Behind the door next to the tub. Later that evening my husband found a large live roach next to the bed. Dead is one thing. Live is gross. Wouldn't let us check in till 3 which is the usual check in time but I don't usually have to wait if I arrive after 1. Can't say I recommend this one
Traveling to Texas from Minnesota is a 2 and 1/2 day trip for us and the stay at the Best Western Plus Waco North, was our 2nd stop on this years trip South. The staff for this chain again were excellent from check in to check out. The overall experience was very good, some updates could be done at this hotel, but it is clean and comfortable. We will definitely consider using the BEST WESTERN PLUS again.
I would highly recommend this hotel. Staff was friendly. Room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. Note: Hotel is located near highway and we asked for a room in the back of the hotel (not on highway side).
If you stay here and want to be able to sleep then you should absolutely request a room on the opposite side of I-35! The traffic noise was deafening ALL night. The hotel was clean, bed was comfortable...but the heat/air system was also loud. Between those two things let's just say you won't get up feeling rested.
This was a comfortable room, the entire location was clean and welcoming. We arrived after dark and our room was waiting for us. Friendly staff and clean room, good breakfast and other guests were also friendly.
Rooms are not so great if they book you on first floor. It doesn't allow good connection and the location of the hotel itself was no so great either. A lot of turns involved. Overall, hardly reccomend.
Such a pleasurable place pleasing possibly probable potentially problematic weary planners of pauses in the night, seekers of pleasurable parlors of the perfunctory lodging style and with penchants for pumpkin pie when patterns for partnering plans pump pails of peas possibly pandemic for the population!
Have stayed at Best Western Hotels/Resorts a lot and most are excellent, but not this one. My room was #208 - facing the frontage road/interstate 35 and the noise was just too much - did not sleep hardly at all during the night. It was bad! Second item - when taking a shower, tub got slick, but no mat (you got to ask the desk for a mat - found that how when I left) and third - no lotion in the bathroom and yes, check the front desk - they have it there - go figure! Overall the rooms are well equipped, large screen TV, comfortable beds/furniture, nice frig and microwave, one cup coffee maker, nice chairs. A/C works well too - quite, but location can be a killer!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was nice and clean. I was sick and glad you had cough drops & mouth wash for sale. If you want a review from me next time ask fewer questions and no requirement for written comments.
We came in for a Baylor Lady Bears Basketball game! Reservation requests were met perfectly. Adjoining rooms, late check in, 2nd floor. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great WiFi and comfortable beds. Will definitely be back.
Horrible experience! Traffic sounds like its coming through the room. The smell in the room was atrocious. The air conditioner smelled like moldy socks. Never never never stay here! The bed only had a thin blanket. The linens were Walmart special. The carpet looked like something left over from the eighties. I hated to walk on it. I have stayed in best western plus hotels before. This was a best western minus!
This hotel was perfect for a short weekend trip to Waco. It was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. We will certainly consider this hotel the next time we travel to the Waco area!
Consistently clean and comfortable room and bed, mean a lot, and when you add a very friendly and helpful staff and good location, that really helps. Did not use the pool or business room, but did have breakfast a couple of mornings. It was a little better than most free breakfasts.I liked the syrup on the tables, and the sausage and fruit were both very good.
After driving 12 plus hours in one day, we stopped here for the night. The check in clerk was overwhelmed with guests to serve, but handled each of us professionally and courteously. The room was clean and comfortable. But, I have to say this was the noisiest hotel I've ever stayed in! Our room was on the backside of the building away from the highway, but still it sounded like the semi trucks were barreling down the hallway outside our door. Needless to say, we didn't get much sleep.
We arrived early at the hotel and made 2 attempts to check-in but the rooms weren't ready. On our 3rd attempt, we were greeted by Zida who was very warm, friendly and customer oriented. Her interaction with us at check-in set the stage for an overall wonderful experience. We told her we were celebrating my birthday and asked for a front facing room. After assigning us a room, she checked to verify the room was ready and was told a window was broken. She then upgraded us to an extended stay suite. Later, she called to ensure we were satisfied with the room. The room was great. We were grateful for this unexpected blessing. It made the birthday celebration even more special. Thank you Zida and Best Western.
Mixed review -some staff great others less helpful however our stay overall was good. Location was good easy entry and exit points to main roads. Great info given by staff re good restaurant very close by and things to do in Waco. The Waco river cruise is fantastic-relaxing and informative.
Hotel was clean and in a great location. Close to the Texas Rangers Museum and a good variety of food choices close by. Good value for the price. One draw back was how close it is to the freeway - could hear the traffic at night.
Everything was just wonderful! The staff was friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was more than we expected. Very good food and variety. We only wish we could have been able to include a tip for housekeeping on our bill. We didn't have cash on us.
Hotel staff was friendly, the lobby was nice- room was OK/average for area but had a strong musty/moldy smell to it. The air conditioner unit was dripping and room smelled of mold. The windows wouldn't stay open and the screens were ripped in many areas, so even if I could get the windows open the screens let in bugs. The hotel faces the highway and trucks blazing by made sleep a challenge, but the location is good for quick entrance/exit to highway
My son and I stayed at this hotel while evacuating from hurricane Harvey. The hotel was full but got lucky and booked a room. The room was very clean and very nice. Excellent TV reception and internet. Breakfast was a lot less that I have experienced at a Best Western Plus hotel in the past but knowing the hotel was full they did a pretty good job. I would definitely sty at this hotel in the future
Located on north end of Waco, Tx at off-ramp of I-35. Excellent Mexican food a short walk away, Mexicano Grill 8 and American fare at Cracker Barrel still within walking distance. Comfortable, clean room. Breakfast items were consistent with other BW hotels.
The hotel is right on the frontage road facing interstate 35. We were a bit worried that the freeway traffic would keep us up. But it is so constant that it was just like “white noise” and so it didn't disturb our sleep. The rooms are clean and well kept. However – our room did have an issue – the tile floor in the bathroom was smashed in several places and the small parts were not comfortable on our bare feet. This is not a small crack made from a guest, but is likely happened during a remodel, for the tile to be smashed instead of cracked. Also – a few tiles close to the toilet are “heaving up” and are about 1/3” above the others. We told the front desk person and she hurriedly said she would talk to someone about it. My hunch is that it has been there a while and she already knew about it. The breakfast was standard and good. The hotel was full, due to road construction crews staying there. Interstate 35 in under construction from Kansas City to the southern tip of Texas – what a mess! But the crews were quiet and respectful. I thought the price was a bit high, but considering it is full with workers, I understand why. All in all, a good stay.
This hotel cancelled our reservations two days before our trip without talking to us first because another group wanted to extend their stay. I am still in disbelief. A month in advance, I made reservations for ten rooms over the phone. We received an email confirmation shortly afterward and everything seemed to be in order. Three days before our trip, on a Friday, we received secondary confirmation letters by way of email. But on Saturday, the management sent an email to my work email account and stated that it was urgent for me to contact them in regards to our reservations because another group was requesting to extend their stay. Like most employees, I was not monitoring my work email during Saturday afternoon. Less than two hours later, the management sent another email stating that our reservations were cancelled. He didn't even offer an apology! I was unaware that this had transpired until Sunday afternoon, when I called the hotel and was informed that all ten reservations had been cancelled the day before, and only two rooms were left available for the dates we were coming. The clerk I spoke to was not apologetic, but seemed to think it was my fault for not answering my email during the two hour window that the management gave me to respond before cancelling my reservations. I then checked my work email, and responded to the manager responsible for the awful predicament I suddenly found myself in. I tried to be polite and stated that this situation puts me in a terrible position trying to find rooms for our group at the last minute, and I gave my cell phone number and requested he call me ASAP if any rooms open up. I really expected some sort of apology at the least, or maybe even some action to right the wrong that had been done to us. But as of noon on Wednesday, three days after I wrote that email, he still has not responded. How could he expect me to respond to an email he sent within two hours time period on a weekend, and he could not respond within three days time period during the normal work week? Our entire group consisted of those who were themselves victims or helping close family who were victims of Harvey flooding. We had decided to go ahead with this trip to take a break from all the devastation back home. We ended up staying at another hotel down the road for $30 more per room per night because of the last minute booking. This extra expense was a burden these people should not have had to bear, if only the management of Best Western had been more responsible in their decisions.
We stay at this property several times a year, and are always treated very well. Room is always clean and ready. Any minor problem has always been corrected quickly. Great hotel and well located for north Waco.
Clean hotel with friendly staff. Free wifi and breakfast. Very good place to stay if you're visiting your children at Baylor. When all the other hotels I are raising their prices for special events this hotel is consistent and reasonable across the board.
If you need to stay in Waco, this is the place. easy on and off to major highway and located in a better part of town. You also should go to magnolia farms and experience a pleasant shopping trip along with a trip to Dr. Pepper museum.
We chose this hotel due to it's location to Baylor University. Hotel is clean with friendly staff & good breakfasts each morning & is a good location gor shopping at nearby stores used to get our grand daughter ready for another year at Baylor.
Hotel is on the interstate highway so our room faced that way so it was noisy at times especially at night. Suggest you ask for a room on the side away from the highway. The manager on checkout would not give me printed copy of my receipt and Had stayed there 5 days. I did no get the $10/ day award for the stay. Staff was good and helpful but either owner or manager was not
Allowed us to park our motorcycles under cameras by entrance. We stayed 3 nights and rooms were cleaned well each day. Breakfast area was very spacious and well supplied. A little difficult to locate because BW sign just doesn't stand out along the access road. Near a good choice of restaurants.Easy access to interstate or streets for site seeing.
I booked this hotel based on the reviews received on trip advisor. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. First, when you walk in there is a horrible smell. The breakfast is a joke, horrible watery powdered eggs. The coffee was warm brown water. The pool is laughable. The noise of I 35 can be heard from our room, so no sleep. The beds are not comfortable at all. You would move to flip and sheets immediately came off. Dirty sheets. Hotel is falling apart. The only positive I can say is location. I would not stay here again ever!
When I stay at this property, I stay with confidence. I know that rooms are nice, clean and the beds comfortable. I recommend this to all my friends and family. If I have guests in from out of town, I host them at this Best Western Plus Inn. The management takes care of the property and their guests.
We had a long drive and arrived late in the night. Marilyn was great at meeting our requests at check in. We got to our room to find an odor and cob webs around the curtains. Marilyn apologized and offered for us to get a new room but it was on the side where you could hear freeway noise so I chose to stay in the room since we were only sleeping and leaving right after breakfast. Breakfast was great. Yulissa was excellent at check out and helping us when my daughter got sick.
Excellent value. Staff, property is always clean. AC is good. We have stayed here many times and watch his children grow up. I am a travel agent and always looking for the best property value for my clients.
We were there to visit family and see grandson play baseball. Great experience. Our grandchildren enjoyed the pool. The breakfast was what you would expect. The price was good and we were given good directions to get where we needed to be.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was a nice clean and quiet hotel. The pool was warm and clean. The breakfast buffet offered a variety of typical breakfast foods. The front desk associate also recommended Ninfa's when we asked for a good Mexican food restaurant.
I was really enjoyed this hotel. Each time I passed through the lobby, I was always greeted with a smile. The location is questionable. There is a seedy motel just down the street. Otherwise, it is a great location.
Hotel was clean and reasonably priced. The breakfast was free and not bad. The lobby area was quiet and always had someone at the front desk when I was coming or going.Staff is friendly. If I was returning to the area, i would stay there again.
Just what you want after a long day on the road. Friendly, helpful staff and a clean, comfortable room. Hotel appeared new, or at least very well maintained. Convenient location with easy access from frontage road. Free breakfast was good, while typical of this type of hotel: waffles, cereal, yogurt, pastries, sausage, eggs, potatoes. Breakfast area was clean and well serviced.
I have always tried looking up Best Western hotels when I travel. On this occasion, we needed a place to stay since we were going up to Arlington to see our Texas Rangers play. Lately, the only place I can think about staying in is Best Western since these hotels usually have a clean and quiet room and always have friendly staff members to assist you. This time was no exception as my family and I were treated like royalty and found the room to be extra clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend anyone passing through Bellmead, Tx. to stay at the Best Western Plus on South I35. You will have a good night's sleep and a hot breakfast before heading out for your next day's activities. Extremely satisfied customer here. Will definitely return!
I think we have reviewed this site completely already, We found the Best Western Plus hotels for the first time in April in Burlington, CO. we liked it enough to join stay points club. We have generally used LaQuitas because of pets, but we are traveling with out them now. We will be back
Toilet was very short, room hall is not wheelchair friendly, no shower wand, However, height of beds and comfort was excellent. Room was clean, bath had plenty of towels and wash cloths. Room did not appear worn and was attractive. Internet worked well. Overall a good place to stay if one does not have knee issues. Parking issues due to vehicles with trailers.
My daughter and I were on a road trip through Texas and we are so glad we made this one of our stops. Decent price for accomodations and wonderful staff. Great location for Baylor, restaurants, etc. We checked in late and the lady at reception made check in so easy and she was so welcoming, a common theme in Waco. Wonderful city, great place to stay.
hotel was easy to find off of I-35. Area around hotel was filled with shops and eating. local business as well as chain stores. Hotel was close proximity to downtown Waco. Magnolia Store, Silos, Cameron Park Zoo were five minutes away or less. Room was clean and well maintained by hotel staff. Hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable.
We have now stayed at the Best Western Plus (like 4 miles from Baylor) twice now. We first ended up there because everything else was booked but the second time we chose the hotel. Since it is a few miles from Baylor, it isn't as pricey as closer hotels, yet since it is only a few miles, it is plenty close. The hotel also has a free breakfast. Clean and friendly.
I stayed here for 1 night, and the service was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. They had a nice selection of snacks and toiletries to purchase at the counter if you needed anything (including bottle water for those that know not to drink the Waco water). It's very convenient to I35 and Baylor. The only downside was that we could easily hear the people walking around above us. The breakfast was also great! It had Texas-shaped waffles, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, eggs, sausage, potatoes, and pastries.
I will make this my go to place when going through Waco, Texas. The customer service was above none. Ciara Booth, clerk and Dipak Patel, manager, are fantastic representatives of the Best Western name!!
We liked this Hotel all accept for lots of noise from people slamming doors around us.Lots of noise from the cars on the road in front of us and people running up and down the stairwell. The location was great!
We stayed here for Baylor University graduation weekend. The hotel itself is a newer, modern, clean facility. The rooms are large and very nice. Our problem arose when we could not get HBO reception on the TV. We contacted the front office and we were told that it was a problem the hotel was having and it would be fixed on the following Monday. I explained that was 2 days away and the problem was now. The response was just the same. There was no offer to provide any other accommodation or offer any kind of discount. The attitude was essentially "we don't care, it's your problem". Since HBO is an amenity that is part of the room price, this was an unwelcome attitude.
We checked in late after going to a different hotel and not having a good experience. Thankfully the evening got much better at this hotel!!!!! The pictures online looked just like what we saw. From the moment we walked in the staff was very friendly, the lobby, hallways and rooms were clean and well lit. This was much appreciated!!!!! Breakfast was delicious and the staff member in there was so nice. We felt welcome and will definitely be back for another stay!! Thank you!!!!!
We enjoyed our stay here. The staff here is great especially Jody in the breakfast room. Nothing fancy but a good economical option. The rooms could use a bit of updating, our room on the first floor had a musty odor. It is located right off the interstate so noise could be a factor so ask for a room away from the freeway. Felt safe here, stayed alone on a previous visit. Breakfast was included and was very good.
My brother, sister in law and I, had traveled to Texas for a family reunion and decided to head to Waco to visit Magnolia's and we chose to stay at the Best Western in North Waco. This hotel was quaint and in a great location by the highway. It was close to Cracker Barrel and to Walmart. It was 3 exits from Downtown Waco, which lead us to Magnolia's, The Dr Pepper Museum, as well as the Brazos River, and Baylor University. All within a few miles of the hotel. The hotel was clean, the rooms were well maintained, all the amenities worked properly, and the free breakfast was good. I am a Best Western Rewards member and it is well worth signing up. I highly recommend it. The only issue was on our way out the water was turned off for a leak but it didn't effect our stay. They notified us as we were leaving. The staff was friendly, and gave us great advice on navigating downtown Waco. All in all it was a beautiful few days in Waco.
Traveled to Waco visit relative in hosp. Although on opposite side of town from Baylor, it was only a 6 minute drive to the hospital. The hotel was quiet, clean and relaxing after a busy day. Will stay there again if in Waco.
Very good services the rooms where so clean the staff very professional I will stay again also they mention the points for different hotel in different parts of Texas where I can save and earned points
Needed a place close to go see Magnolia silos was only 3 miles away and had great places to eat and restaurants. Rooms and hotel we're as always perfect. Best Westerns are consistently comfortable and clean and I always get a good night's sleep.
Staff was very friendly and let us see the rooms before we checked in. We were impressed by the clean rooms and the hotel in general. Breakfast was very good and the hostess kept us informed on things around Waco.
My husband and I came up to Waco for the Ranger Museum, and this hotel had good reviews, so we decided to stay the night here. It was a good decision. It's right on the highway and easy to find. The hotel seems to have been renovated recently, and it was surprisingly updated for a roadside hotel. The room was spacious, as was the bathroom, and the bedding was better than expected. We did enjoy the included breakfast, especially do-it-yourself Texas-shaped waffles. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There is some road noise on the highway side (where our room was), but that's an expected trade-off for convenience. We would stay here again.
Best Western Plus North in Waco is a great place to stay. The hotel is physically attractive outside and inside(well-maintained), the breakfast offerings are numerous, and the staff very helpful and responsive to the needs of guests. The nearby location of a Cracker Barrel restaurant is a big asset.
Excellent place to stay, convenient to shopping and restaurants. We were on a shopping trip and had been driving all day. It was a great place for us to stay and get to the various shopping areas. The rooms were quiet and my daughter and I felt very safe as we arrived late at night. The facility and staff were great.
My son and I had a one night stay and needed a hotel with a separate bedroom and a pull out sofa. This hotel was clean, nicely furnished and our room was perfect. The breakfast in the morning was great with hot items such as eggs, sausage, waffles, etc. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends.
Got here really late and needed somewhere to sleep. Exterior is beautiful. The room was nice and clean for the most part. Towels had some stains and our ironing board was stained. Other than that everything else was great. We didn't get to use any other amenities considering we got there super late and slept in the next morning. Would stay here again.
Best Western is the only hotel we stay. Every visit is a enjoyable one. Our rooms were clean and very comfortable beds. We really love our stay! All the staff was helpful and friendly! Couldn't ask for a better experience.
Employees and Facility were excellent. Definitely a reflection of the Management and his/her style. Great empowerment and and emphasis on guest satisfaction. Never stayed at a Best Western Plus, but will definitely consider and choose when ever available. I even joined the rewards program, which I rarely ever do.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends. I intend to stay here in the future on my return trips to visit family. The hotel location has easy off and on exits to the highway and loop. There are several restaurants nearby, including fast food.
We stayed here for one night as a family of four. The king suites have a separate bedroom which is why we chose to stay here. The room was nice and worked well for our needs. He hotel overall is dated and dark, it would help the ambiance allot if they added lighting throughout the halls. It was just too dark which made it feel less inviting and almost dingy despite the fact it wasn't.
Stayed here for the first time while in town for Baylor fall break. This hotel was great, friendly staff, good breakfast, comfy beds, spacious room & quiet. Easy access to freeway. We didn't try the pool or workout room but they both looked nice. The price was more than reasonable too. We would definitely stay here again!
I have used this Best Western several times for our Waco conference, most recently October 2016. The conference attendees and leaders appreciate this hotel's location, quiet and clean rooms, its amenities and ease of on/off for the highway. Our 2017 meeting is being scheduled and once again this Best Western will be the only hotel that is advertised to attendees and leaders alike.
Another good best western. Good nights sleep even though your close to the highway. Lifts, car parking, AC in the room. Bad points the room was slighty musty and the Wi-Fi has been the worst we have had in a long time. Very slow needs a booster. Good hot breakfast as you would expect. Not great soundproofing of the rooms though.
Easy access off/on I-35. Nice staff. Super clean room with a living room area, and very comfy bed. Free USA provided. Nice towels & toiletries. Breakfast is average - but the coffee is wonderful. Great Internet.
The staff at Bellmead was very accommodating and professional. We only stayed one night, but felt very welcomed. After a long day of driving, the bed was very comfortable and we slept well without interruption. Unfortunately, we were awakened to some loud neighbors in the room next to us. That, however is not the fault of the hotel.
My wife and I recently had a very nice experience at the Best Western Plus Waco North. Our room was attractive and clean, all the staff members we encountered were pleasant and professional, and everything in our room worked. The breakfast provided by the motel, while not exceptional, was quite adequate. It so happened that no standard rooms were available the night we stayed there; so, we ended up with a suite, which was quite reasonably priced for a room of this type. Potential guests at this property should be aware that this place is right off I-35 and that it might be a good idea to ask for a room on the side of the motel furthest from the freeway. The parking places also seemed to me to be a bit narrow; readers with wide vehicles might want to keep this last point in mind.
COULD BE SO MUCH BETTER AC Wouldn't re-coll after getting to initial setting. set to 73, then get warmer, wouldn't kick on to cool back to 73. Happened at 2am, so didn't wake everyone to have someone at staff tell me this is how the hotels save $
Stayed here on a family business trip to Waco. Third time here, and as in the past everything was perfect. Clean, comfortable, and friendly. Right on Interstate 35 which makes it easy to get anywhere in Waco. Tip : stay on upper floors in the back, much less freeway noise.
This is a new location that is convenient for accessing Waco, although you will need a car. The staff has a great attitude and there is a an attempt to vary the breakfast. I enjoy this design and usually get a good night's sleep.
Great Rooms for a great price. Breakfast was decent although more tables could be available was very satisfied with the stay and the room. Comfy stay very clean and great staff. Quick service no difficulties would highly recommend.
The hotel was easy to find, the staff were great. The breakfast was really good. I wish they had had some eggs though. There was a sign but no eggs available. The room was very musty smelling but very clean.
The motel, that I thought that I would stay, was a little pricey. My second choice was again a little more than I wanted to pay for 3 nights. After reading the TripAdvisor reviews, I made my reservation and advised my friends, who were also coming to Waco of my hotel. When I checked in, I was asked where I wanted to have my room located and would a one-bedroom suite be okay. With the very reasonable room rate, I was now concerned, that the rooms might be less than desirable. When I got to the rooms, I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were just as nice, as what I would have expected of a much more expensive motel. My friends and I would definitely stay again at the Best Western Plus Waco North, if we were in the Waco area.
Great hotel, service, food, room, shower. Great everything. This is the best experience with hotel I have had in years. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone in the area. I would look for only Best Western Hotels Plus from this point on.
Handle my delegate group with their excellent professional service. My delegates were supposed to move into another hotel midway through their stay but they really liked the hotel and decided to stay on.
This hotel was so convenient to the surrounding area. With only minutes to Waco and lots of shopping all around, why stay in Waco itself? The room suite was well maintained and we liked the couch for watching t.v. When we were not running around. Bed was very comfortable and a/c worked fabulously! The staff was very friendly as well.
Came to Waco for a college visit. Stayed one night. The motel was great and price was even better for my budget. Room was larger that average motel rooms and decorated beautifully. Grounds and motel interior were clean and inviting. Desk staff and breakfast staff were very nice and accommodating.
This hotel was clean and well taken care of. The staff was friendly and willing to helping us. We didn't spend much time at the hotel to really appreciate the facilities. The breakfast was good and we learned that they will soon serve gluten free foods.
I was more than surprised and satisfied walking in and staying at this gorgeous hotel. My room was a beautiful Suite with even a kitchen which is a first for me at a BW! Everyone that works here goes out of their way to smile, be friendly and helpful. Thanks for making my difficult long work week in Texas a little easier. I will be back!
This hotel is clean and well maintained. The staff is very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was surprisingly good with several hot items and a waffle maker. Several reviewers have noted the noise level from the interstate, but we did not find it that distracting. The only negatives about the room were the bed and the air conditioning. The bed was really firm. The ac did work but it didn't seem to cool the room very well. The room seemed a little larger that normal and the bathroom was spacious. Luxurious it was not, but it was very comfortable. I would stay there again, even though the bed was too firm.
The actual hotel is very clean and comfortable. I had noise issues with the Motel 6 guests just out my window. My he motion lights in the gym should be rethought- the lights kept going out when I was on the treadmill. All-in-all this is a nice place to stay. I would return if my normal pick was full. Waco is such a great city! Definitely a well kept secret.
This is the second time we have stayed here while visiting our daughter at Baylor! It is clean, pleasant, and everyone is very nice. We love the proximity to other restaurants and to Baylor without having to go smack dab in the middle of Waco.
This hotel is consistent. The rooms are clean and well kept, the property is well maintained inside and out. The breakfast items are always satisfactory. I always recommend this hotel to my family and friends
Comfortable with good service and good breakfast. We had a nice view as well. It had easy access to and from the Interstate 35. There were various places to eat in the area so the location was very good. It was quiet with some traffic noise from I 35 but after a while it wasn't noticeable.
Hotel was extremely clean and the employees were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was excellent, room was comfortable, clean and had everything that we could need.We will use this motel again in the future with pleasure.
Got a great rate off hotelcoupons.com. Hot breakfast buffet with Texas shaped fresh waffles--food was very good. Everything was very clean. Friendly staff, although they didn't seem all that familiar with the area. Convenient proximity to the suspension bridge, Baylor, TX Ranger Museum and other attractions.
I really enjoyed my stay. Our room was ready when we arrived. Great customer Service from front desk staff. I didnt like how the manager on duty came out of the back office looked at us but did not speak are even show concerns of why we were at the front desk waiting. Overall great stay I would still come back to visit.
I was very impressed with the friendliness of the staff. The breakfast was very good and worked out well for my gluten-free companions. The rooms were very clean and up to date. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Hotel was great! Our room was on front facing highway. I'm a light sleeper so I was up a lot.. If room was on back I don't think it would be a problem. Breakfast was good with a variety of food selections. We ate between 8-9 was busy for one server/ hostess.Parking was well lighted, landscape needed to be maintained.
Staff and manager were very helpful. This location is close to Baylor where I had two functions to attend. Have stayed here before and plan to stay again in the future. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked even though the motel was full. Best to stay on the backside away from I 35 traffic noise.
Hotel was very clean, staff were extremely courteous and anxious to please. Breakfast was excellent. Good location. Exterior needs to be refreshed a bit, and perhaps new carpet throughout. Definitely recommend.
Booked online was easy. Julia greeted us, told us the free breakfast menu for next day and answered my questions about Waco. Our room was super clean!!!!! Jodi greeted us at breakfast. The food and coffee was hot. Always a plus. Clara the morning front desk person was also cheerful. If in the area again would definitely stay here. I also like these kind of table lamps. Great to plug phone into recharge without looking for a wall outlet:-))
Nice clean place, nothing fancy. Good breakfast. Beds not quite as good as a Hampton, but very adequate. The lady taking care of the breakfast area was exceptionally nice and kept everything stocked and clean.
I like this place a lot. Very nice hotel. Excellent location in the heart on Waco,TX. As usual Best western has nice staff and provide the best service in terms of free Breakfast, free parking and free Wifi and very comfy bed. what more do i need? Waco was a transit county i selected it while driving to San Antonio. It very nice.
Every thing was nice at this hotel, the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good and hot or you could have cereal and fruit. Plenty of juice to drink, milk, coffee, or hot chocolate. This hotel was close to I35, so if you do not want to listen to cars going by all hours of the night, then I would not recommend this hotel, or get a room on the other side. We had a room facing I35.
Nice, clean, big rooms. Nothing fancy. I think it used to be a Country Inn & Suites by the interior appearance. Crying baby woke us up for about an hour. Breakfast was nothing special. Only hard boiled eggs. It is right along side of I-35, so it can be quite noisy. Ask for a room along the backside for a quieter stay.
Wife and I drove to Waco to watch 2 different high school football playoff games. We were pleased with the place. The staff was very friendly upon our early check in and during our 2 night stay. The room was very spacious and clean. The entire place was clean and organized. The included breakfast was good. There was a very adequate selection to choose from. Typical continental but good. Eggs, sausage and potatoes were fresh. If you can't find something you like then you are too finicky of an eater. But yet you eat at a McDonald's, go figure. We would definitely stay here again and probably will next football season.
We stayed here one night on the way to south Texas. The hotel was very well maintained, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely consider staying here again.
Location of hotel excellent in relation to Waco & surrounding area. Easy & quick access to Baylor college or the city of Waco. Very clean and well maintained. Price value for the rooms would be considered average.
Very Good Hotel. I always use this facility when I have family or friends coming in from out of town for their stays and I recommend this property to anyone that asks me where is a good place to stay. Also. I make reservations for all of my business associates and guests to stay at this hotel.
The highway noise is terrible at this hotel. Read other reviews and thought people were overstating or were light sleepers, but they weren't it's awful. Anytime you stay off of a major freeway you expect some noise, but I've never had noise like this. We were on the 3rd floor and the overpass on I-35 was directly across from us, the hotel is situated downward and I believe that's why the noise is so awful. Request a room on the side away from IH-35- on the 3rd floor those were odd number rooms or bring a noisemaker (fan, air purifier, etc). Otherwise clean hotel, friendly staff, okay breakfast easy on and off IH-35.
this hotel was great. will stay there again. have benn there before. the breakfast was great and the girl there very friendly. The front desk was really good. The only bad thing about it is that the Hotel sign was hard to see and there was no sign on or around the front door telling us it was the Best Western.
Appearance was great from the Freeway. Very inviting entrance with country staircase in Lobby. The decor was warm and not to out there. Rooms were in great order and smartly decorated with a very comfortable bed.
I did NOT realize the noise of I-35 until it was sleep time..... oh boy is it loud. I tried my ear plugs but it did nothing for the 18wheelers, jake brakes or sirens. My room faced the front and wish I had been on the back side. Next was I had to jump out of bed and wash my eye out and soak my face because the pillow was saturated in icy/hot stuff.... I did not notice the smell until I crawled in bed........ What a shame because the hotel is nice looking, easy access, room, lobby and breakfast room all seemed clean. The staff was very nice but if you can't get a rear room you better be a heavy sleeper. I do question the icy/hot on pillow.... the maid should have noticed this. Lucky for me I only had to soak my face and wash out my eye and have NO allergic reaction. I most likely will find a hotel further off I-35 next trip.
Staff was very helpful and available to meet our last minute needs of a hotel room, Front desk agent was very informative and met our needs price wise on the hotel room. Will return to this hotel again in the future.
We love Best Western hotels, however this hotel triples their normal rate when events are taking place at Baylor. That's unfortunate for families that need to travel from out of state and have no other choice. They also don't post their maximum room rate on the back of the doors in the rooms. The breakfast room is nice but the variety of choices is limited for being a "Plus" hotel. On the plus side, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are very comfortable (except the sofa beds) and clean! Easy freeway access and options for eating nearby.
Pretty much the title gives it away, all the staff were very nice, the facilities are great and the sleep was even better. Good Internet (woke up too late for the breakfast). Would definitely stay here again.
Great hotel! Was passing thru headed to Edinburg Texas needed a hotel for one night. Super clean! Staff was very friendly easy check in. The beds were comfortable and breakfast was good! Would definitely stay here again. Very affordable would recommend becoming a best western plus customer! Stay here if you need a hotel in Waco!
My family stayed here while visiting Baylor University. Right off the freeway, it is a quick drive to the Baylor visitor center. Check in was nice and we had a quiet room on the side away from the freeway. The breakfast area was spotless and the food selection quite good and fresh. We would definitely stay here again!
Only a few issues prevent a rating of excellent. Frig did not work, towels and wash cloths were stiff and rough, and parking was difficult. Walls, flooring, and curtains created a uncomfortable dark atmosphere to me. Also, outside signage was not sufficient to ID location.
We had a great stay at this hotel. Quick check-in and check-out, clean room and had a great breakfast! I would highly recommend it for short overnight stays. The staff was attentive and friendly. In a great area and close to Baylor.
The hotel staff is very friendly and willing to offer recommendations for local restaurants, including things to see and do. Great location to Baylor University. It was very quiet and we slept well. The only negative issue we had is the musty smell through the HVAC system within the room.
the staff was great, personable, and very helpful. Best mid level facility I have used in a long time. the Area it is located in has easy access to fwy 35; city was doing construction so not the facility's problem. Could use a better vending supply or closer store.... but that isnt in their control for the most part.
I will definitely stay at this hotel again. The service and staff is great. Rooms very clean. I travel to this area once a month from a long distance. It is so great to find a hotel of this quality. Location is great. Easy off of I35 and easy back on to I35.
