For the price the value is great. Everything is clean and the daily breakfast is reliable and solid. Highlight of my stay so far is Rolando at the front desk who has greeted me daily with the most warm and entertaining southern hospitality. Would recommend to anyone passing through.

The Best Western in Austin Texas was a great place for me to stay during my business conference. The hotel was in a great location, the employee's were super nice and the room was clean with great amenities. Did I mention the awesome breakfast that started my day.

It's a shame that what could've been a great stay, wasn't just because one of the front desk employees felt entitled to bully me and my family for choosing to wear a mask. If you don't feel like masking, go ahead. That doesn't give you the right ti make fun and bully someone who does. Just like I have opinions about people who don't mask but I keep them to myself. Other than that, all the other staff members were nice, helpful and respectful. The hotel is ok. Good location, the breakfast is what you'd expect from a “free breakfast” and the rooms are clean. The pillows are really uncomfortable.

We stayed 4 nights at the Bastrop Pines during Formula One week. The staff was wonderful, especially Shelly, who set us up with a king bed room at the last minute when our other accommodations fell through. The hotel is a great location, and it is very clean and quiet. Free breakfast has something for everything. The price was higher than normal because it was F1 race week, but it compared well with other area hotels that offer less in service and amenities.

The only really positive thing I can say is the room was very clean and the staff was attentive and friendly. Other than that it goes downhill. The bed was not comfortable, with scratchy sheets and cheap uncomfortable pillows. The shower head desperately needed to be replaced as there was virtually no water pressure through it yet the tub faucet & the sinks had great pressure. The breakfast had few gluten free items other than whole fruit and yogurt, they had packaged instant oatmeal that wasn't labeled GF and they had pre made hot oatmeal that I wouldn't trust to be GF. The coffee was absolutely horrible and the tea bag selection was only regular tea & green tea, no herbal or caffeine free for the evening. They really could have done better but at least it was clean.

Easy to get to with several eating places near by. Staff friendly and helpful. Stayed here several times with no issues. Breakfast was nice but limited choices like most hotels. We will stay here again.

This hotel showed why I love staying at Best Western….A grade of A+ at everything is provided. Not only did the hotel have a great location, also…but they also provided me with valuable information on what services were nearby the hotel, and where they were located!

I've stayed at many Best Westerns and this was a very nice and clean hotel. Check in was smooth and helpful to find a place to eat our first night. We went for a swim one afternoon. Gross would be an understatement. Debris and no circulation. No smell of chlorine which I like to smell at a public pool. None. Otherwise it was a great stay. We will be back next year.

If you are a female solo traveler and find yourself in Bastrop, TX then this is the place to stay. Both the morning and night staff are very helpful and friendly. Also, you are only a 6 min ride from the Famous Buc-ee's .

Very nice room updated, clean, and comfortable. Nice breakfast with eggs, bacon, waffles, and fresh fruit. We also enjoyed a nice meeting area as family came from various places. Will plan to come again for our annual family reunion!

A very clean, safe place to stay. I just want to say that Austin was wonderful to encounter after a very long day on the road. The first room I was given, was not ready to be occupied, do I went back downstairs to request a different room. Austin gladly exchanged my room no problem. I went back upstairs to my new room only to discover the keys did not work. Austin made some changes with the keys and then accompanied me upstairs to the room to make sure they worked. Later on that evening Austin was extremely helpful when I was getting some snacks. All in all, without Austin's care, consideration, and understanding that stay could have been so not fun or enjoyable. He made the stop worth it. The rooms are nice, comfortable, and clean, but it's the staff like Austin we ho made the difference.

We stayed 3 nights with our granddaughters while visiting in Bastrop. The hotel was clean and well maintained. Conveniently located. The rooms were roomy even for 4 people with plenty of towels. It had a desk with comfortable chair as well as a chair with ottoman. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good choice of cerals eggs, bacon or sausage and a waffle machine. The AC was comfortable and easy to control.

The staff were very pleasant and patient as we checked in for our stay. My aunt's funeral was the next day. As other family members arrived we gathered in the breakfast area. They turned the lights on for us and made sure we had everything we possibly needed without having to ask.

Everything was awesome. friendly helpful staff and great rooms. They constantly made sure all my needs are met. Waffles are amazing and the room was cleaned perfectly every day. I will definitely be staying again!

Older property in dire need of updates. Single service elevator for 3 floors--we used the stairs most of the time due to how SLOW the elevator was (& too small to fit more than a couple of people at a time). Breakfast isn't amazing but there's a little variety--Otis Spunkmeyer muffins and yogurt every morning helped. Only one waffle maker, and it wasn't the cleanest but the line was always too long to use it. Rooms smell musty but were visibly clean and everything worked. Overheard the front desk attendant tell a trucker that arrived right before us that BW raised the rates to almost double their normal nightly rate for that weekend due to 2 dance conventions in town--definitely wasn't worth the price we paid for the weekend! If looking for a place just to sleep, it'll do--conveniently located and easy access to everything you'll need in Bastrop.

The hotel had no hot water and never let me know. When I called the woman at the desk was rude.The people who checked me in were great and it was clean but hot water is kinda an expectation. The worst part was that no one could be bothered to let me know.

Every person I spoke with listened with intent and took great care in answering all my questions to the best of their ability trying to help acting as people and not robots I always knew Best Western was a great place to stay but now I have a whole different view of the Empire they have built I will do my best to try out all the locations across the world and their sister locations

The staff at this Best Western was superb! Any hiccups I experienced, they jumped through hoops to help me solve them. I will stay at Best Western again, just to see and say hello to the staff. You will not regret staying here!

I first get there, approached by desk attendant to give hotel a good review as he just bought this crappy thing and is looking for investors. Eeww... No functioning bathroom fan. HORRIBLE beds. Icky truck parked out front for days in arriving guests area that they refused to make the person move it till 2 days before we left. Awful housekeeping.... careful on the toilets, most of them teeter back and forth, and I'm a tiny person.

Even though you can pre-register, it doesn't mean that your room is in a good location or clean prior to your arrival. Hotel location is adequate for touring the area, or dining locally. Don't try to travel out of Austin late in the afternoon due to excessive traffic.

Four of us stayed in a double bed room during the formula 1 COTA race. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast in the morning and used the hot tub each night. The staff went above & beyond to make our stay perfect.

the reviews for this hotel were good, we felt safe and comfortable for our quick stay as we were just driving through to visit a State Park in South Austin. The staff were nice and accommodating. The complementary breakfast met our needs.

The location was perfect for the distance to my client. The room was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. The front desk service was exceptional and breakfast was great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was great. Service, cleanliness. Only not so great was the pool size. We stayed 1 night and the beds were comfortable and liked the fridge and microwave came in handy for us. Would recommend this to my family and will return in the future.

Front desk was very friendly & greeted us each time we walked through the door. They also quickly replaced my key when it stopped working. Would definitely stay here again & plan to go swimming as well!

For the price and conveince, it is a great hotel. Not familiar with Bastrop, but this seemed close to a lot and not right on the freeway so it was quiet. We had no issues. The rooms seemed pretty clean.

Hotel staff was extremely friendly and professional. Took great care of me! There were not any single rooms available so I was provided a double room for same rate as single. Room was clean, beds very comfortable. Had a great night rest!

Great stay, great value! The staff was knowledgeable and very friendly. Stayed 2 nights, enjoyed the pool and internet. Wonderful property! Will definitely stay again!!! All employees were smiling and greeted us every time they saw us coming or going.

We called from the road and they quoted a price of $89 all in. When we got there at almost 11pm, after being on the road for 6hrs, they changed the price to $139. Other than that it is a basic run of the mill low end business traveler hotel. I would have gone to another hotel but was too tired to fight it. And they refused a veteran discount even though its on my texas drivers license.

I give 5 stars for one reason. Rolando. He's the best goddamn hotel concierge I've ever had. If I could give 10 stars I would. That great nocturnal beast will help you with anything you need, no matter the time and he always has the best attitude. Plus he's just a funny SOB. Always cracking jokes and making pop culture references. If you're gonna stay in Bastrop, stay at Best Western and meet the 8th wonder of the world...Rolando.

My son and I stayed at this hotel overnight during a very slack part of the year, so it may be our experience was skewed because of lack of guests. I've never been to a Best Western as clean and well-kept as this one, and despite the proximity to the freeway, it was very quiet. The exterior was pristine and well manicured; the checkin was smooth and helpful, the floors and all other surfaces were clean and up to date, and the room was perfect. Checkout went smoothly and we were off to the airport in quick time.

Great location close to restaurants and shopping. Clean hotel with friendly staff. Located in quite area of Bastrop near the highway. It's about 30 minutes from Austin. Check out the Buc EE's gas stop when you visit.

Not a fan. Paid $140 for one night to be woken up all through the night. The coffee was nasty, I couldn't do the work I needed because the internet is TERRIBLE. Breakfast was cold.. not a good experience.

The night manager Roland was very cordial, polite and helpful. Overall, the premises were clean and well kept. The location was great. Restaurants were conveniently nearby. Only issues for me were that the shower curtain was old and wouldn't stay on and the sundry pantry was very understocked. Also from talking to other colleagues staying in Bastrop, there was a brand new hotel with a kitchenette included for half the price where I could have stayed if I had known. But regardless I still enjoyed my stay in general, just feel the property is overpriced.

Breakfast is nice, and lots of options, the rooms are clean and comfy. They have a gym, laundry room, snack bar and the Pool is indoors with a small hottub as well, but the pool room is overwhelming with the smell of chlorine, so can be an issue if you are sensitive.

I arrived to Austin Texas for a work conference. The hotel where the conference was held was booked so I decided to stay at the Best Western Bastrop Pines Inn. Man am I so glad I did. Great atmosphere, quite, clean rooms, comfortable bed, and awesome climate control. Very friendly and considerate staff to boot. I highly recommend this place.

I attend this location every week and will be for the next couple of months. Great location. Never had a problem here. Room rates are always acceptable. Nice rooms, fitness center could use an update but still great. Only thing I'd ever ask for is a free night! Haha. Good job guys. If you're ever in bastrop visiting I'd highly recommend this location.

Front desk personnel very helpful by giving me written directions to Convention Center. The room was clean, comfortable, and I had a great night's sleep. I found the breakfast to be lacking with no fruit other than small, very small whole apples but the food there was good, scrambled eggs, sausage with gravy and biscuits. Over-all great experience.

BW Bartrop Pines was great stay. Check-in was easy and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were very clean, modern, and comfortable. The location was a little tricky to get to, but was close to shopping and food. Overall, very good stay. Breakfast was good and had a good variety. Will stay in this hotel if in the area.

This Best Western was comfortable and decently priced. No problems at all, the staff were friendly, and the pool was clean. The room was in good order and there wasn't any road noise. The breakfast was hot and seemed fresh. I would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for a family reunion in Bastrop. The hotel is clean and no issues with the night. But a few things to know before booking include 1) they do not have rollaway beds so only four can stay in the room with two queen beds. A small child would be on the floor. The breakfast is fair but powerdered scrambled eggs and the coffee was terrible. Suggestions include real coffee maker, real eggs, and boiled eggs at a minimum. The pool is a small rectangle that is great to float in with a beer, but not for kids to play in. Again, a good place to stay if just passing through but a few small changes would make a big difference.

First visit to this area, & our choice of this hotel was based on a stay in a Fort Worth BW a few years ago, & a very good choice it was indeed. All the staff were polite, friendly (everyone said hello when our paths crossed) & efficient, & the overall feeling was that they would do anything to help. Location very quiet, in a nice spot. Not too much on the doorstep yet, but the general area looks like it is undergoing some expansion. Breakfast was pretty standard for this sort of establishment, & could perhaps get a little 'same-y' if you were here for a week, but fresh juices on offer, very good coffee, & a small selection of fresh fruit & pastries, plus the usual sausages/bacon/eggs & a selection of cereals & yogurts - a nice touch to have complimentary juices & coffee/tea on offer all day & into the early evening. Room was large (to us Brits anyway!) & the bed was very comfortable indeed; we had all the furniture & storage space we needed, & there was a fridge & a safe in our room. Only issue was poor WiFi, so weak my husband's iPad access was sporadic & my laptop's non-existent! However, I made use of the Business Centre when I needed to, & if internet access had been vital, every cafe & restaurant we went to offered WiFi, so not a big deal for us at all, but worth mentioning as everything else was so spot-on. Could not believe how inexpensive our 2 night stay was given the hotel itself & the excellent customer service.

Wonderful, new, attractive facility! Service was outstanding --Patient, kind, accommodating! It will be my first choice when I return to the area! Bed was very comfortable (better than being home!). Room was very clean and ability to control temperature was great. Thanks, BW!

After my party arrived and checked into room 214, we took 2 hours to rest. When we got up, we moved the blanket to find a large blood stain about the size of a hand that was spread across the sheets in different spots. We told the front desk to see what they would do about it and all we got was a new set of sheets to pickup after we got back from our event. The fact that one of my friends was sleeping directly on this huge blood stain and nothing was really done about it made it feel like the staff does not care too much about guest safety and health. If this matter was dealt with better, our experience would have been better.

Pretty clean and new hotel. Filter in pool was either broken or they were too cheap to turn it on. Water and pool grounds were filthy. Reported it owner and staff didn't seem to care. The pool was the highlight for my kids which is why I'm pretty upset about it.

We were only here for one night after a long flight but we had a lovely stay. The room was a great size for my husband and I and our two girls. It was also spotless and staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return.

Affordable only one night with one person day of booking and early check in was $104 after all the taxes. The regular price was only $91 before taxes. TX is so easy to drive in I was 45 min from downtown Austin but I enjoyed the quiet area of Bastrop. It was so nice to enjoy downtown and come back to a peaceful less crowded area for the night. All the hotel attendants day and night were so welcoming and informative and even FUN! The room was a US king size (so Massive) and the room had complimentary coffee (decaf or caf) and included full hot breakfast from 0600-0900. They had an outdoor pool that was never crowded when I stayed. And a hot tub. Tons of food options around and ample parking around the hotel. I was able to park close to the door at all hours. Check this place out!!! I would give it twelve stars for cleanliness, and comfort!

We spent two nights here while going to the antique show in Round Top. Our room was large and comfortable. Everything worked. The staff people were competent and friendly. The breakfast was better than the usual free motel breakfast.

What a great family weekend visit here! The staff was friendly to us coming and going past the front desk every time. The free complimentary breakfast was amazing! They have just about everything you could ask for. The rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. The location of this hotel is great. Right off the main freeways and close to plenty of restaurants. We were at the hotel for a nearby wedding. The staff was extra friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and bright and airy. I would stay there again. But I am torn. The towel holder had pulled off the wall and just hanging up there. Hard to get on the internet and when I did, it kept dropping me every few minutes. The electrical outlet on a lamp didn't work. The friendly, upbeat staff mostly made up for it.

We stayed for one night, Friday night, facing the front parking lot, right over some of the downstairs offices. We were met enthusiastically by Jennifer at the front desk. She quickly found our reservation (took me a while to locate my DL). She was very patient. It was about 33 degrees, windy and rainy. They had a little trouble with the sliding glass doors, perhaps from the cold. I didn't get a name, maybe the manager, brought the luggage cart around an side door and out to our car. The room was clean and odorless. Two large, high, comfy queen beds, a fridge and microwave was all that we needed. It was quiet. Breakfast was good and filling. (I missed the grits that they have at breakfast in Louisiana. It was a very good stay.

Was here in Bastrop for a large event. This hotel was one of the options I had for the 4 nights and a good group rate was given to our group although my AAA rate was even better so I went with this hotel. Straight out the gate I am going to confess that I am a Marriott fan and hardly ever defy brand loyalty but in this case decided to go with the flow as so many of my friends were staying here. There was plenty of good things. The bed was comfortable (except for the weird little pillows) and my room was clean and even more important quiet. Breakfast was the standard free hot breakfast buffet. I have celiacs so my options were limited to the fresh fruit and yogurt. Some mornings there was nice fresh fruit some mornings there was not. My last day there was only 1 banana in the basket. The juice dispenser gave a pretty good glass of OJ, which was hard to tell was a concentrate; that was a pleasant surprise.There were waffles in the shape of Texas which was super cute. Also eggs & sausage. Instant Oatmeal and a selection of 3 cereals, none of them GF. A very disappointing part of breakfast was the coffee. I'm no coffee connoisseur but I felt that the coffee was like the kind that you get out of the coffee machine at a rest area. Yuck. Visited hot tub and pool 2 of the 4 nights. No complaints there either. Both clean and well maintained. My biggest complaint is the staff, they reminded me of straight out of B movie characters. Weird old fashioned uniforms. One lady spoke like she was reading from a script. I opted out of room service a couple of days. When requesting TP from a housekeeper in the hall she let me know she did not speak English. I'm fairly sure she did speak English but she just didn't want to give me a roll of TP. Again this was not a bad hotel, but it was not a great one either.

Beds are extremely comfortable. Bed pillows are too small though. (Thankfully I brought my own, lol.) Breakfast was good with lots of options. Room was cleaned everyday. NO BUGS!! Accomadating, friendly & professional staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Updated recently, very nice, looks like new! Extremely nice and helpful staff. Great Hot Breakfast, had a good looking workout room but did not use! Chili's restaurant right across the street. Plenty of spacious parking at hotel.

During check-in the staff was friendly and helpful. Everything went downhill from there. The bed was hard and had pillow nubs instead of full size pillows. The walls were so thin we could hear every word of our neighbor's conversation. It was like they were in the same room. The shower pressure was weak and the wifi was ridiculously slow. Breakfast the next morning was okay. The staff seems to really care. Unfortunately, the friendly service does not make up for the poor quality of the motel.

Stayed 2 weeks and can't think of any complaints at all. Room was comfortable and clean. The refrigerator was freezing my Iced Tea but they adjusted it and all was fine. I used the business center to print out some important papers and found the printer was out of paper. They gave me more paper at the desk, so those are the only 2 minor problems that were immediately taken care of. I will defiantly stay here again.

We were there for a wedding in Elgin and the Bastrop area was more economical than the one in n Elgin. The distance was not bad to travel back and forth. Plus there was shopping in Bastrop which made the stay there even better.?? Room was also much better than the one in Elgin, which I've stayed in 4 times this summer.

Visiting for a wedding and was close to by to everything. The hotel was nice and staff was friendly. The room was clean and updated. The full breakfast was nice for the family. The only con was the pool being a little small.

The staff was nice and accommodating. Great breakfast and nice area. This hotel is very accessible to restaurants and shopping area. The bed was a little hard for me and I had to get a different pillow. But everything else was great. Highly recommended!

Stayed 2 nites for family bday gathering and enjoyed the hotel! Very clean and nicely appointed rooms. Good breakfast with attentive staff. Only complaint... dining room coffee tasted like hazlenut and I hate flavored coffee. Opted to make my own with the coffee maker in the room. Very small property and don't go for the view... but other than that, great place to stay! Our view.

If your going to Austin Bastrop is on the East side down the road from the Airport. Bastrop is a good alternative if you need to be on this side of town and you don't like the hectic Austin traffic just to get to dinner etc.

I stayed here as a corporate group and wanted to say the rooms were great, clean, plenty of towels, beds were very comfortable. The staff went out of their way to be accomodating for us. Two days after I left I realized that I had left an electronic toothbrush behind; I called them and sure enough they were able to locate it, and sent it back to me. I'm so thankful to them for their kindness. I would definately recommend them!

We were suppose to stay at the lovely Hyatt Regency but since it was sold out we ended up staying at the Best Western instead... The check in was friendly and the location of the hotel was road side behind a Home Depot...Locatin is definately an issue and instead of hearing birds and bees you will experience car and highway noise... The room were clean and the bathroom was separate and good size...The bedroom was decent sized but due to the dark carpet and furniture it was not a room I would spend leasure time... We did not experience breakfast and the the overall prize was very competitive but this would not be my first choice of hotel...

My family and I were looking for a place to stay close to Austin and this was a great place. Clean rooms, nice beds, good breakfast, nice staff. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

We stayed here for the Warrior Dash race. Great location for the race, it only took us 10 minutes to get to the race the next morning. Breakfast was good and everyone was friendly and helpful. Beds were comfy and the rooms have a fridge and microwave.

This hotel is really nice and clean. The food and snacks well presented and tasted great. The room spacious and very clean with the beds being super comfortable. The staff consistently friendly and courteous. I'll be back.

Great location! Approximately thirty miles from Austin. Walking distance to a variety restaurants. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. Wide selection of breakfast entree's and coffee 24/7!

Easy to find off Highway 21/71. Quick exit and entry to highway. Quiet, restful night. Plenty of parking. Within a mile of restaurants and stores. Just a few miles from downtown and the Colorado River Park.

We have stayed here the last couple years for my husbands Christmas party.. Always nice and clean. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone.. Was too cold to use the pool or hot tub but the area was very clean.

Overall, this place was pretty nice and the staff was friendly and helpful, but there were a few things that seemed easy to deal with but left unattended: 1. The toilet seat was very lose; I tightened one side, but the threads of the "bolt" on the other were stripped so it couldn't be tightened. 2. We were in a handicapped room; the shower curtain was too short and water from the shower soaked the bath mat and got a lot of water elsewhere on the floor outside the shower stall. 3. The shower head (a handheld unit) pointed a bit inward toward the wall and could not be adjusted, meaning the user had to virtually back into the water knobs to be under the shower. There were two leaks in the handheld device as well. 4. For reasons unknown to us (maybe good ones?), the bed was not across from the TV, but rather a table. 5. The sheets were starchy.

Best service ever. I had a very good stay from November 29-December 1. I was very peaceful and I got around to visit some of the local restaraunts and sites. During this time, I was suppose to stay at the Hyatt but I am so glad that I stayed at the Best Western in Bastrop.

My hubby and I came into to Bastrop to visit family and do a little shopping. We had car trouble that left us stranded in town for the night! I am 8 months along in my first pregnancy and was miserable after the day we had. Went to the Best Western and was greeted by Rolando. I must say he turned my entire day around! He was warm, courteous and in a few minutes had us checked in, calmed down and even laughing. I have stayed in numerous hotels and he was just the epitome of hospitality. Thanks Rolando!!!!

Even though there was a mix up in my reservation, the staff made every effort to meet my needs. They found a very acceptable room and made every effort to see that my needs were met. The facility is well maintained,, convenient and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

1st rm smelled moldy and desk clerk Austin gave us a new rm that was very clean. Breakfast was excellent, hotel was quiet but the beds were not very comfy at all. While in Bastrop I usually stay at the Hampton but it was not available however I would stay here again if I had to.

They lived up to everything I expected in a Best Western. We were in the are for races at COTA and it was a convenient drive to and from the track. I will stay again next year for the same event. There are plenty of restaurants and stores in the area to take care of any need.

They were very kind great place to stay will recommend it to all my family hospitality was great Personal were professionals they treated us with kindness and concern for our needs they were very help full

Truly a treasure to the Bastrop Community!! Veena Tewani, the GM, and her staff assisted us from the time I walked in until everyone left!!! We even booked a room the night before so we could get a early start for getting the Meeting Room transformed into our Woodland Themed Baby Shower!! The hotel room was fabulous, extremely clean and inviting, and the beds were super comfortable!!! The extra assistance with tables, chairs, tablecloths was totally unexpected, but very much appreciated!! The Meeting Room was perfect!!! Gorgeous pool area even though we did not have time to swim!! As a resident of Bastrop, you seldom realize that such a great hotel exists in our city!!! Yes, I am very proud to recommend Best Western Bastrop Pines Inn to anyone traveling through Bastrop and needing a wonderful place to stay!! You want to feel welcome and appreciated?? My wife and I took a trip to spend some time in Round Top and Warrenton. This was the closest Best Western I could book. I book well in advance and before the hurricane. We arrived around 11pm with no problems at check in. The hotel was booked but no noise problems the two nights we stayed. The internet was great and we were able to use our Fire Stick that we brought with no problems. The air conditioner was top notch as well. The drive to Warrenton was about an hour from Bastrop through Lagrange. I highly suggest if you chose to make the same trip to skip out on Round Top and just hit Warrenton. Round Top was overrated and over priced. Warrenton is where it is at. You can also go north through Paige, Carmine and Burton and come in from the north side of Round Top. Those towns have many places to shop at on the way and are priced reasonable. Have fun!

Not bad, but for the price seemed just ok for what we got. I think there were a lot of goings on here that weekend because when I first checked the rates here a month or so out they were a lot less (should have booked then!); then when I came back to book the prices jumped like $75 a night! Ouch! The first morning hubby didn't have much breakfast selection around 7:30 or so. He probably got there at the wrong time, but still, it would be nice to have more choices of the things offered. The second morning there was more selection, although it was just standard fare. Which is fine, as I don't expect gourmet dining, just give me some decent tasting carbs and protein and some OJ. And it was decent. Eggs, sausage gravy, biscuits, waffles, pastries, toast, etc. The room was okay. It was a larger sized room and was handicapped accessible for some reason. I don't remember reserving that but it may have been what they had. We did get early check in which was nice, as I was there for a race. The AC was fine but when it shut off it got stuffy, but if you left it running it didn't cool it down. It was ok the first night, but the night after the race, I just couldn't cool down and the AC wasn't helping. The people were friendly, but the first day the lobby smelled like a toilet.I mean seriously; I guess the bathroom stopped up or something? It was pretty bad, but was gone later in the day thank goodness. It wasn't terrible, and I would certainly stay again; I actually have a room booked for the race next year already, so will let you know how it is then!

Well reset time and on the road to another Texas town. This time I will be staying in Bastrop, Texas at the Best Western Pines Inn. Close to the job site with restaurants and shopping close by. My room was nice and had a single queen bed that was very comfortable but the 5 little pillows are crazy. Just give me a couple of standard pillows please! They have breakfast from 6 to 9 every morning. The food is from eggs, bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits to cold cereal, oatmeal, waffles, pastry, juice, milk and coffee. More about their coffee, it from an automatic coffee machine, and has to be some of the worst coffee I have ever had. Had to stop at the Exxon station for a good cup of coffee. But all in all a good place to stay when you need a place. So if your in the Bastrop area and need a place to crash! This is the place I liked and hope you will too!

Great Hotel in smalll town , friendly staff and overall pleasant stay. Have been staying at this hotel on an annual basis for several years. Breakfast menu is hot and varied and very good. Would definitally recommend to friends.

Hotel was very nice. Great location. Easy check in. Room was nice and quiet. Would stay again. Although I didn't get a chance to swim, the pool area looked great. My only issue was I could tell quite a few oil field workers were staying there. They congregated next to the front doors smoking. I'm not a fan of smoke.

Everyone on staff was simply awesome, pleasant, helpful and kind. Went out of their way to assist me with my fiancee who gets around on a scooter due to a back injury. Facility clean and well taken care of. Breakfast foods plentiful and fresh. Will definitely go back.

Friendly, helpful staff. My husband has been staying for around a month for work and they have been very accommodating and helpful. Fitness center has the basics, which is more than many places. Fresh baked cookies are available many evenings.

We had a little trouble finding exactly where this hotel was, but that was our fault. We were greeted by a very friendly young man named Austin and during our conversation he helped by giving us a map of the place we had mentioned we had wanted to go to. We didn't make it to the breakfast, but we did use the pool. Everything about this hotel was nice and fairly new. It's a little off the main road which makes it quiet. The view wasn't that great, but it was nice and clean. There are plenty of places nearby to eat and enjoy.

Spent 2 nights here. Just what would be expected. Did not disappoint. Clean rooms. Ac is motion sensitive so it gets warm at night-a design flaw that is not unique to this hotel. Standard breakfast buffet. A bit tricky figuring out access.

Thanks to SXSW we stayed outside of Austin and found this cute town by accident. Loved the small town homey feeling of Main Street about 5 min from the hotel. Beautiful views on the river and cute restaurants. Hotel was friendly, clean, and safe. All we needed to explore the Austin area as we luckily had to extend our trip bc of a storm in the north east. Haight recommend the Best western and Bastrop.

Great location for our girls weekend shopping trip at Roundtop. Left late night from Royers, and made it to this hotel in 20 minutes to check-in right before midnight. Front desk lady was helpful on the phone as we told her we'd arrive late, and upon check-in, we we're warmly greeted, and rooms ready! Will be our go to hotel for convenience moving forward. Thanks

Stay anywhere but here. The staff is not interested in helping you , the prices is too high and the room was mediocre at best. I will sleep in my car before I stay here again. Not only did we have to change rooms, when we reported a problem management was not interested ion fixing the issue. In addition to the poor service, below par rooms, zero water pressure they ignore your requests.

Nice place. Clean. Hospitable. Bed was comfortable. But it had tiny pillows? I'm fascinated by this concept. I slept great but the pillow? It's a good hotel. Basic good breakfast well taken care of and quiet. We rested well.

This is certainly an acceptable place to stay. The room was clean, and things worked. The staff people were competent. However the place seems to have slipped a little since we stayed there a year ago. They seem to be skimping on small things and upkeep in ways that add up. The breakfast was edible but below average even for free hotel breakfasts.

All staff in which i encountered were extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast area was clean, and staff was constantly making sure there was plenty of food. Rooms were clean, and spacious. Hotel was easily accessible to main highway.

We were here for Roundtop Antique Week! The rooms were nice, everything was clean. The beds were good, could have had another blanket but that's minor! I would stay here again. Close to restaurants and shopping!

I was traveling on business at The Hyatt Lost Pines 10 miles away. Couldn't get into host hotel and glad I didn't! I was greeted at door by owners and had a lovely talk about their dedication to excellence. Rene at Front Desk had done a great job prior to my arrival and I received a nice king bedroom. At first I thought the AC didn't work, but since it was so cool in TX I didn't need it much. When it did come on it was quiet and kept me comfortable. I checked the carpet cleanliness and it passed the "5 o'clock shadow test" (in case you didn't know - I ran hotels 15 years. Sample wet a washcloth and swipe 5 times lightly on carpet in high traffic area. If cloth turns "shadowy" you know it hasn't been professionally cleaned in a while and you need your socks on). Anyway - this hotel was clean! Breakfast was light - but met standards. They are #2 compared to Hampton and I would say breakfast is 1 of reasons. Also FD was a little too relaxed and didn't know any suggestions for Austin nightlife. That could help boost their rating. I could walk to Chilis and it took 10 minutes to get to Hyatt. Loved Bastrop's old Texas feel. I will hope to return to Austin again.

Our organization has already returned to use their hotel rooms for out of town staff and guest. My appreciation to the owners of this fine, clean, well run facility!

We went for the Round Top fair and could not find a hotel closer, so this was really our only option. It is a clean hotel and things were in working order. It was convenient to several eating places. My main disappointment was breakfast and coffee. We tried to eat the waffles and egg but neither were that good. otherwise it met our needs...but take your own shampoos and dryer as the dryer is not very strong and only small shampoo / conditioner.

The bed is comfortable, room large, plenty of hot water, and room clean. The breakfast was typical for this star level of hotel (waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon, cereals, bagels, etc.). The employees were personable and friendly. If you shop at a major booking agency you can get a great rate, otherwise it will be just short of a hundred dollars for a nice room. Rene the check-in clerk was helpful and knowledgeable. There was some highway noise on the third floor, so if quiet is important, you could try a lower floor, and the noise might be blocked by some buildings.

Well maintained hotel with spacious and nicely decorated rooms. The bed was comfortable and the included breakfast had a nice variety. The location is easy to access. I did not swim in the pool, but it looked cleaned and well kept. The staff were all friendly and professional.

We were in town for Labor Day weekend visiting friends and this hotel was perfect for our needs. Nice clean hotel that is pretty new. The elevators were in and out of service but luckily they worked each time we needed them. We didn't get to use the pool facilities as planned but it appeared to be clean as families were out enjoying it. Comfy bed, fluffy pillows & clean linens are always what I judge a good hotel on. A GREAT hotel would also have a shower that has a nice sized shower head with powerful water pressure. Unfortunately, we can't always get what we want. The shower was mediocre but most everything else was good including a friendly staff. We will return most likely as we like Best Westerns.

We stayed here recently while visiting friends in the area. The hotel was clean, and covered all the basic necessities. Nothing fancy, but looked and smelled like a new hotel. We booked a block of rooms at Best Western for my wedding. Every single guest that called to book a room had issues. Either the staff got their reservation dates wrong or told the guest that there wasn't any record of a block of rooms for our event. If you can imaging over 30 guests calling the bride regularly for a month prior to the wedding to figure out hotel rooms due to the incompetence of the hotel staff... exactly what you want to deal with when planning your wedding, right?! They even messed up my room and I spent the 2 days before the wedding calling regularly to make sure rooms were reserved correctly. 5 different people had issues upon check in and their reservation dates were STILL wrong.

We were running the Wildflower 10K in Bastrop State Park early Saturday morning so booked a room at the close-by Best Western. We really enjoyed our short stay. The front desk provided great service, the room was nice and clean, the rate was reasonable and included complimentary breakfast and free wifi. The room also had plenty of outlets, a microwave and tall mini-fridge, and both a desk and a table. When I checked in, I asked if we could check out late as we were rewards members. The front desk clerk was very accommodating and said yes, she would request that our room was cleaned last. This allowed us to check out 2 hours later that the normal check out time. This was really helpful / appreciated as it allowed us to run our race and then return and shower before hitting the road for our next destination.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and in a great location with lots of places to eat and shop. Got a great rate with the "3 night stay" promotion at bestwestern.com, place was clean inside and out, staff was super friendly and helpful, wife needed stool (which hotel provided) to get in the bed and once in it was very comfortable, air conditioner cooled to the temperature set on the thermostat, the printer in the business center actually worked, breakfast was good with sausage gravy for the biscuits... This hotel is better than some Best Western Pluses that we have stayed at and it puzzles me why it is not one... We will be back!

Stayed at hotel four nights during MotoGP race weekend. Nice clean hotel with friendly staff and great prices for race weekend. Good AM breakfast, and easy access to COTA about 20 min. drive away. I made the reservation for two nights knowing that I might not stay the second night. When I checked in I said I wouldn't stay the next night and was told that it had to be done earlier in the day. But I didn't read the fine print on the reservation confirmation. But I had asked the night manager two nights before if I could do it when I got there at 8 o'clock and he said yes. The lady was very ugly demanding that I pay for the next night and there would be no exceptions. Eventually I was given a little better price for the next night and decided to just go with it because I didn't want the aggravation. But I would never stay at this place again. And it's a place I stayed at on off for years. I won't go back for that again. And overall there are mostly really good people at this venue.

Nice, clean, reasonably priced. Free, hot breakfast. Walking distance to several good restaurants. 20 minutes from the Circuit of the Americas track, going in the back way, so no traffic problems to deal with.

We stayed at this Best Western two nights while going to the antique show in Round Top. It was a good choice. The room was clean and large. Everything, including the wi-fi, worked well. Check in went well; a/c worked good; room and bathroom were clean at check in; only one vertical grab bar by faucet; horizontal grab bar needed on back wall; anti-slip spots in tub bottom are not good enough; had to push hard on bathroom door to latch; even though on second floor, a wedding party out by jacuzzi area kept up their very loud laughing, yelling, and talking until at least midnight and totally disturbed sleep; a phone call to the front desk did not do any good; even though the wedding people checked out the next morning, more should have been done to make the wedding party people leave the jacuzzi area and quieten down; breakfast items needed improvement; scrambled eggs were too watery and biscuits were hard and cold; biscuit gravy appeared to be daily reused.

Very pleased with the amenities and cleanliness of this hotel. The night time staff was very helpful upon check in with selecting a local place to dine along with making sure we had towels for the pool area.

What a difference new owners can make to a hotel. I stayed here 2 years ago, and this hotel was only 3 years old at the time. I could see that regular cleaning lacked in the common areas of the hotel, the breakfast was just okay. This year when I checked in the place looked different, I didn't realize at the time that the hotel had new owners. The staff was friendlier, the lobby was cleaner, the exterior of the hotel was groomed and manicured. I was impressed, coming from the luxury apartment industry, I felt the pricing of my room was very reasonable for a hotel this nice.

Great place to stay! Will definitely be going back!! Staff was very professional and helpful. Hotel was very clean and nice as well. Management is very aware and involved. Beds are very comfortable. Breakfast choices are plentiful.

I stayed at the best western in bastrop and I was having a very pleasant check in with the young lady at the desk and an older man in glasses walks up behind the desk and starts slamming things down on the counter very loudly and then proceeds to ask me if I'm married and keeps telling me I'm very beautiful, I'm sure it was supposed to be a compliment but it made me uncomfortable, I did not like it. And when I was checking out the same young lady was there she was very nice and respectful and the general manager in the glasses was rude and cut her off while she was trying to let me know what was going on with the check out and starts trying to talk to me like we weren't already having a conversation. The wifi wouldn't let me stay connected longer than 10 mins at a time. The elevator was very slow. I was not happy with my stay at all. I will not be going back!

A very nice, and affordable place to spend the night. It was very clean, quiet and the staff were very efficient in making our stay pleasurable. It is has all the things you would want in a place to stay. It is close and to places to eat and local shopping.

We were tired and pulled off the freeway to get a room at the Best Western. The parking lot had very few vehicles so we wondered why we were put on the third floor. The room was quiet, however, the free wi-fi directions did not allow us access. We requested assistance and were assured the manager would call us. The manager did NOT call even though our request was made in person at the front desk at 6:30 p.m. The breakfast the next morning was good and had the usual items available (cereal, coffee, fresh fruit, juices, etc). The checkout was annoying since the young lady on the computer was fiddling on her cell phone and cracking her chewing gum.

The hotel is a little difficult to access but worth the effort. It is new, clean, quiet, and great value. Room was very clean and bed was terrific. Lots of places to eat in walking distance as well as some shopping. The WiFi could use some help. Found using my hot spot was faster.

Hotel was easy to find. Our room was clean and a nice size. The AC has a continuous fan feature which I love, rather than cutting on and off thru the night, waking me. Night light in the bathroom was a nice touch. Breakfast good with hot items. It was kept replenished. The Chilis across the street was convenient. We just walked. The Dominos Pizza is so close they delivered super fast. (We ordered online) The wifi was not great in our room. But we were top floor, end room. Our T-Mobile did tho, so no problem. Our room was quiet. We would stay again if in area.

Our room was large and clean with comfortable bed. Wi-Fi worked well. There are several eating option within walking distance. Staff friendly. Breakfast was very good with many choices. There is a lot of parking including options for big rigs. Have stayed here many times!

This is such a well managed place and very quiet place to rest!!!???????? We spent a week here after having our vehicle robbed in Austin and the staff was great especially the manager and owner's wife! The staff inquired with us every day if we enjoyed our previous day and asked if anything could be done better! I would highly recommend this motel for a long or short stay! Mike

This hotel was perfect for the price and area. Very nice front desk staff, nice variety for breakfast, nice to have a hot tub available, and the room was great. Mini fridge freezer cold enough to keep ice cream.

Very nice hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, Staff was friendly. The breakfast was hot, plentiful and had great choices. Would stay here again and recommend this hotel. The parking area was safe and well lighted.

The only complaint we had the entire week was that there is a flow restrictor in the shower head. We like a lot of water even in a drought. The owners and staff were very friendly and caring. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Nice daytime people at desk, late night check-in was a nightmare. Night clerk did not want to look for my reservation and told me the hotel was full. This is an average best western, but it is hard to find at night when you are tired. And typical of these cont. breakfast you really can't identify the so called sausage as meat.

The Best Western Bastrop Pines Inn, in Bastrop, Texas is an excellent hotel. Our last visit, during the Christmas holidays we stayed four days and the service, the staff and the overall care of the facility was absolutely impeccable. Will not hesitate booking and staying time and time again.

I chose this hotel due to the proximity of my job. The hotel is very well kept and very modern. The most important thing I need to say is they take care of their guests. After I checked in there was a problem with the fridge. I needed to keep my medicine cold. They replaced my fridge while I was out to dinner. All of the staff I have dealt with have been very courteous and helpful. They have a great free breakfast in the morning with plenty of hot choices. I recommend them over any of the hotel choices in Bastrop. For the price, they can't be beat.

The hotel was quite, the rooms were nice and clean. The staff was very nice. There was plenty rest restaurants close by. Easy to get to, right off the freeway behind a dealership so you did not hear the freeway noise which was nice.

I stayed here 3-4 months ago, there were a couple of problems. The owners handled it so professionally and completely I told them I would stay there again. The room was very good, and one of the few times I have eaten breakfast at a hotel, this one was very good. The front desk was very nice and friendly. I will diffently stay here again the next time I am near Bastrop.

no problems with not being clean. Internet didn't work for well so I just 4G'd it which was fine. Breakfast was small and busy but I was satisfied. Regular staff was good. There was a short male Hispanic wearing street clothes that was clearly some type of manager who was cold and wouldn't hardly look up just to shake his head "no" not even saying a word. The rest of the staff was nice.

Great owners and staff who stay on top of things just to please everyone!!!! This is the first place I stayed at that wanted us to find something wrong just so they could take care of it. The breakfast had everything that you could get if you stayed at your Moms and it got to that point when you say to your wife "I ate too much, why did't you stop me".

I stayed for 2 weeks last month at the Best Western in Bastrop. The room was very nice and the staff was great. Very clean room and hotel. Great coffee and breakfast. Will stay again next time I come back.

We stayed here one night when visiting the area. We used it as a stop over point when going to a show at the bugle boy in LaGrange. The rooms were clean, the price was reasonable, and there was plenty to do in town. Service was good, and the continental breakfast was good too. The hotel is convenient and easy to get to.

Father and Mother of the Bride came to Best Western out of loyalty the generous experiences Best Western has afforded us as a family minded and professional musician. We have had great stay and business support from Best Western and always look to their hotels for all occasions!

Hotel is very clean, staff is courteous, needs a little training, owner was present and very helpful and courteous. Breakfast food could be better, pillows need to have choice between soft and firm. All were too soft and felt old. New employee was helpful and was being trained, but needs to wear tie like it should be worn and shirt tail needs to be tucked in. Looked sloppy and clothes looked like he had slept in them.

Attended a wedding in the vicinity. This place provided average accommodations. It was relatively clean. We called housekeeping to clean a "smeary" stain on the headboard. They tried to clean it without much luck. Everything else was fine and clean.

We got in around 10:30pm, looking for a place to spend the night. The night manager was very courteous, gave a discount that was appreciated, and we were so happy to get hot showers and a cool room, and a good bed. Breakfast was good the next morning. We had a good experience here.

We were greeted by a pleasant hostess, given a first floor room as we asked. Breakfast was full and pleasing. The internet was slow, but other than that the stay was one of the best I have had in a while.

Wonderful place to stay, very clean, comfortable, helpful staff and good breakfast. No complaints about my stay in the 2X this year I have stayed at this Best Western. Would reacommend this location and will stay in the future.

My spouse and I stayed here so that we could check out the fall Antinque/Flea Market in Round Top. It was very convient to Round Top. Also good selection of restaurants in Bastrop. Overall a good stay.

Super clean and comfy stay, loved the free internet and complimentary breakfast. Room was very clean and comfy. The staff was very friendly and check in and check out was fast and easy. They made us feel welcome and appreciated for choosing their hotel. It was close enough to our event and overall very enjoyable. Close to great restaurants and other activities. I would definitely stay there again. The staff made sure we had everything we needed.

Since under new ownership of Kamraj llc. It has been a vast improvement, front desk associates.a more professional atmosphere.I see more smiling faces.any issues are taken care in a more timely manner. I thoroughly have enjoyed My weekly stays , since it's has been under new ownership and look forward to my many stays here at Best Western .

The outside of this hotel seemed normal, but the inside was not the normal Best Western with Roaches, no WI FI service , The Sheets hopefully had been washed, but were not pressed. There was no coffee or food to speak of in the morning

Bastrop is about 45 minutes from all the shopping. This hotel wasn't terrible, but certainly wasn't the best experience we've ever had. The room rate was reasonable, but we did have a few inconveniences - no wifi, bathtub didn't drain well so showering became a semi-bath.
