Best Western Plus Medical Center Hotel

Brand new, clean, comfortable hotel that is near BSA hospital. Quiet rooms and in a quiet location. I didn't like breakfast options, I'm not a fan of powdered eggs and detest them, if you have to have eggs for breakfast there's a waffle house not too far away.

I stayed at this Best Western twice in February 2024. Extremely clean, spacious room, great breakfast. I seldom sleep well in hotels but The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well on both trips.

We enjoyed our stay and appreciated the clean, clean, clean rooms and hotel! The staff was very welcoming, friendly and professional. The breakfast was simple and plentiful. The hotel was in a good location for our travels too.

Our stay was one of our best experiences. Customer service with a smile! Comfy and spacious room! Great breakfast as well. Bed was comfortable. Shower was awesome. People were so kind and helpful. Location was good if you don't mind staying out of the hustle and bustle of the downtown area.

Best of all stays at the trip, very pleasant lobby and room is neat comfortable. Location is also easy to access. The breakfast is in a good setting with fresh cooked food. we enjoyed the stay at this plus hotel. may go back if possible.

This is a nice, clean hotel, we stayed for 1 nights with family. The staff (Reception) was helpful and took time and explained about breakfast time and other things related to the hotel. We had selected two queen beds rooms; the rooms were looking new and had good space. The hotel location is also good, it is located near to restaurants, highway, and medical center; they serve good breakfast with multiple options. The area of improvement that I would recommend the bathrooms in the rooms should have a latch (Able to close) this is a not a hotel issue but best western design issue all Plus hotels have same. Overall, a pleasant stay will sure stay next time in this hotel and recommend to family/friends. Rooms: 5/5 |

My son is 100% disabled, retired vet. We requested a mobility room or a first floor room. Upon arrival the front desk clerk, Noel, informed us neither was available even though we made reservations three days prior. She was rude and not helpful at all. We were told the only room available was on the 2nd floor right next to the elevator. We spent the night listening to people come and go all night. Due to the fact my son is disabled and I used bonus points to pay for the room I will never stay here again. Noel needs sensitivity training. At breakfast there wasn't and sugar free jam or syrup available.

The hotel was super clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. Grumpy front desk person spoiled a little, but overall an excellent stay. We would return. Hope they hire staff to match their fun decor.

Nice, new, clean hotel. Wonderful service from Tammy at checkin. Great breakfast included. Will definitely stay again next time I'm passing through Amarillo. My only criticism is the pillows… they weren't comfy, wish I had brought my own pillow..

Tammy is the best. She is polite and full of happiness! The hospitality was top notch. We will definitely be staying there again. I wish everyone in in costumer service was as friendly as Tammy. She went above and beyond for our family.

Stayed here on our way out of town and coming back. Staff is very friendly and rooms are decent (water pressure in shower could be a little better) but all in all was very nice. I would definitely stay there again when I go that way.

Tammy at the front desk is amazing! Anything I needed help with she was on it. Great employee, wish I had a her working for me. Room wad very conformable, clean, nice location. You are close to a lot of restaurants and shopping. Stayed in Amarillo several times in the past year and this location gets you away from the interstate a little. Felt safe.

I recommend this hotel. It was clean and up to date. The room was comfortable and clean with a good selection of pillows. The washroom was large, bright and in excellent condition. Tammy and Noel at the front desk were friendly, caring and helpful. We will stay again.

This BestWestern property is lovely, very clean with great staff, and affordably priced. Great location near Texas Tech Health Sciences Center with easy access to all major roads. Lots of great food choices nearby. The best part is the kind and helpful staff!

Had a very nice comfortable stay overnight. Very clean room and bathroom. Overall was very clean. Breakfast usual fare but everything was good and hot items were cooked and stayed hot. Very friendly staff. Would stay here again.

We stayed overnight at this hotel as we traveled thru Amarillo. The king size room with walk in shower had a very big bathroom. The bed and linens were very comfortable. The hotel is close to several places to eat. Nice full breakfast started at 6 am.

My truck had mechanical issues while passing through Amarillo. The hotel staff were most welcoming and accommodating. The hotel was very clean, had several amenities, and a great breakfast. The grounds are well kept, and it's in a good, safe area of the city.

Close to the hospital where we had a friend that needed us to stay with her while her daughter was getting married in another town. Such a blessing to be with her while her family was able to attend the wedding.

Don't stay here if you are hauling a trailer!! They make you park on a dark side street. I'm outraged. We got in just before midnight. We were exhausted after driving all day and was too late to change hotels because we needed to sleep. Unreal.

I recommend this hotel. It was clean and uptodate. The room was comfortable for the most part, the bedding alright with selection of pillows. The washroom was large, bright and in excellent condition. The staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful.

BWP Med. Center, had a great room for us, my wife and I, both felt the room was very clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. Pillows could have been a bit softer. The staff were professional and polite, welcoming is and will to help us make our stay great.

Very clean hotel, the only negative was the horrible shower head along with the poor water pressure. Yummy full breakfast and kept very well stocked and clean. The bed was very comfortable but really hard to get into as it was so high, a running start might be best.

First time I have stayed at the Best Western Plus Medical Center Hotel. Super pleasant and it will be my new "go to" place to stay. Super clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. And, a great restaurant (Joe Taco) one block away, so it is easy to check in and simply walk down a tree-shaded street to eat.

We only stayed one night but it was a pet friendly option in the nice part of Amarillo. the hotel is newer which is good. the room was clean. The only two cons for us was there isn't really a good grass area for pets, the only grass area is by the main road, a pet friendly hotel needs to be pet friendly. And second the ceilings were paper thin. there must have been either an elephant, or super hyper dog/toddler above us that bounced on the floors from 9pm to midnight then again starting around 5am. the walls themselves were fine we didn't hear our neighbors next to us. Ovearll it was a decent stay.

Beautiful hotel lobby and friendly, welcoming staff. Great area as well. Good sized rooms, quiet, and comfortable beds. Room rate and pet fee were very reasonable. Highly recommend- will definitely stay again!

It is right across the street from the lasik center as well as rush eye surgery place so you can walk across the street after having surgery. I highly recommend this place and you can mention medical to them and they will give you a discounted rate.

The staff and breakfast were wonderful. However, the pillows were small hard squares. Our stay would have been great overall if we would have had a good nights sleep. Sadly, I can not recommend this hotel.

Clean rooms are a MUST for me and I was very happy with this hotel room. The front desk staff was great and I am thankful for this location being pet friendly! They had good breakfast options and I was very happy to see a non dairy milk option!

NEVER Again. They have the sliding doors on the bathrooms and all you here all night long and all early morning is people going to the restroom and opening and closing sliding doors. Loud !!! it was 30 digress outside when we arrived and we put on our heater around 2am, and it smelt strong like burning so strong we had to turn it off. We had to be cold. Then, right when you think the sliding doors are gonna stop, the refrigerator starts making a strong buzzing sound. (Manger said “well we have no control over that”) UM yes you do. Fix your fridge or replace it (?) I went to do my hair, and the whole back front of the hairdryer fell off, exposing the whole fan. It wasn't even on there to begin with and I couldn't even get it back on so I ended up turning it down to the front desk. I asked to speak to a manager and she said there would be no manager here till Monday. I tried expressing my self to Brandy , and she simply just did not give a care. I asked her for a new hairdryer (she never offered) even tho it was 28 degrees outside and my hair was wet. She finally went and got me one. I came up to use it and it's the SAME broken one just with the vent gone out of the bag!! What if this hair dryer was on and my finger got up in this fan ? Or a kid ?? Plugged it in. Blades all exposed. I plugged it in and it did not even turn on. Took it back down to Brandy and she said she checked it before giving it to me. Interesting .... Leaving in 28 degree weather with wet hair !! After paying almost $150 for my horrible night. We won't be returning. So much attitude thrown at us alone made me HIGHLY uncomfortable. This is a hotel right next to the cancer center and medical buildings. I worry about family who might be visiting their sick family members. That's the last thing they need. The manager Trish said all she could do was take $20.00 off the room. She apologized for her rude staff. $20.00 off is a joke. It's like leaving a waitress $1.00 for a tip. Might as well give her nothing. DO NOT stay here. Horrible staff and management. LOOK at all the reviews saying rude staff. Trust it !!

Initial greeting by gruff negative attitude front desk staff member didn't leave me feel valued as a guest. Hair (multiple areas) from a pervious guest left in bathtub and the bathtub floor was slippery, appeared to have been refinished and lacked a non-skid surface protection. Breakfast was awful: Soggy Eggs, sausage in water that didn't taste like sausage, more like a processed meat substance. no coffee cream (only processed Coffee Mate)

Stayed on New Year's Eve. Was nice and quiet and slept well. Comfy beds and good breakfast. 2nd time here and both times were great! This is our stop on the way to Colorado from Austin Tx every year. We will be back.

This is one of the nicest Best Western we have ever stayed at. My wife is some impressed with this hotel and wishes all Best Westerns could be this nice. This is the hotel of choice when traveling to North Texas. Just a wonderful experience. A must stay if in the Amarillo, Texas area.

Newish, clean property. Very close to the hospitals. Breakfast was wonderful, very good coffee. Room spacious and bed comfortable. The property inside and out is well kept and clean, very good lighting. It is right by the interstate, but sits perpendicular and I didn't experience hearing any road noise.

The man that checked me in was very helpful. I'd booked online, but it was after midnight and I didn't catch that it booked me for the next day. He explained the need to call direct after midnight and helped me get my dates switched. The bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned well, or had been messed with after cleaning. There were also three lotions but no shampoo and conditioner or shower cap. I had some with me so I didn't need to ask for more. The bed was nice. I'd have liked a fluffy comforter rather than the thin blanket. I enjoyed the movie channels. The breakfast area looked promising, but I was tired and slept too long. Overall, it seems like a really nice hotel.

Was amazing at this location. We went to another best western in Indiana and o could not even swallow the food. I will be staying at this location again if we past back through the area. I was very pleased with what I paid for and received.

I stayed here in December 2021 on a road-trip with my dog. This is a very new Best Western by I-40 and I would 100% stay here again. Everything you want: clean and tidy, nice room and beds, very good buffet breakfast.

The hotel and staff were great. This hotel was not only clean, but we felt comfortable and safe during our stay. I had traveled 10 hours with my granddaughter due to my son's car accident which put him in ICU. The hotel was easy access to the hospital. Overall our stay was very pleasant, especially considering the circumstances which brought us there.

The only downfall was the helicopter that flew overhead during the night, but that is to be expected if staying at a hotel near the hospital. Otherwise, everything was neat, clean and comfy. Breakfast was very sufficient.

Very clean hotel, convenient to Interstate 70. Nice breakfast and enjoyed the pool, since needed the exercise during our long road trip. Staff was very pleasant and efficient. Directed us to a great restaurant for dinner

If you are in this area, be sure to stay at this hotel. The property was very clean with lovely sitting areas around the lobby. The rooms and entire property were extremely clean and comfortable. The FULL Breakfast was defiantly a HUGE PLUS! We will be back

On the very good side, the hotel was very clean and the room was equally clean. My issue is that I wasn't able to connect to the internet. The clerk at the front desk said it was a problem with my phone. We tried 4 separate computers and phones and couldn't connect. We asked to speak with their IT person and was told they wouldn't be in until the morning. Same with a manager. The desk clerk said she had no way to contact either as well. Very bad support from the desk. This occurred about 5 pm on a weekday.

This is a new hotel, very clean and very reasonable prices. We were on the second floor and there was an inexplicable banging (like someone was hanging pictures) that lasted for five minutes or so at 1:30 a.m., 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. When we mentioned it the next day to the desk clerk, her response was “Oh, well, you used points for your room so it was free.” Not exactly the attitude you want in a place of business. The hotel was pretty quiet other than the aforementioned banging, which didn't make for a restful night. Breakfast the next day was pretty much what you get at every chain hotel anymore.

The BW+ just opened. Carpet, colors, lighting, everything just popped. Bathroom mirror was a rectangle & lighting rimmed around edge. Very modern. Room smelled fresh. Mattress was amazing. The tub floor was slick & had to be careful not to slip. Front desk was nice, smiled a lot & was quick.

This was the 1st stop on our way to Las Vegas. The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The lady at the front desk was awesome (wish I had gotten her name). Our room was spacious and we loved the floors and color scheme (it's a lot like our newly remodeled house). The air conditioning worked great (we like it cold at night). The breakfast area was beautiful and extremely well stocked and cared for by the gentleman running it. He was sweet, helpful and informative about what all was there and how to work the really cool pancake maker that we've never seen before. You could tell he took pride and cared about the area and the guests and it showed, so Thank You Sir! There was new heating elements that was beautiful and cool as well. (Yes I pay attention to the little things). The decor was REALLY COOL! The only slight drawback was the beds couldn't be a full queen size bed and was extremely tall and hard to get into. The people in the room above us stomped a lot and couldn't get to sleep until after 11 but that's not the staffs fault. We're staying there again on our way back at the end of the week.

We stayed at this hotel several times while traveling from coast to coast in our car. It has always been neat and clean everything's been in working order. We always get roll in shower so my husband doesn't have to step over a bathtub. It just works out really well there are plenty of places nearby to eat so we don't have to travel to The Big Texan to try their steak which isn't all that good.

Clean and very nice rooms. We stay here when we are traveling and it never disappoints . Staff is welcoming and professional and rooms are well appointed and clean. The bed was very comfortable and we left well rested .

This hotel seems new and is well taken care of. It is in an area with office building/doctors' offices, not too far off the interstate. The room is laid out well with a comfortable bed, fridge, microwave, coffee maker and storage space. Parking and check in were quick and easy. The breakfast in the morning was good, a bit better than most included breakfasts. The man working the breakfast really did a good job of keeping the area clean and well stocked. The only complaint was we were in a first floor room by the door. This was a good location as we could easily access our car and the front desk. The problem was the several groups of people leaving and entering the hotel through the exit door near our room late at night and early in the morning and making a ton of noise, screaming, etc. Not really the hotels' fault, but it may annoy some people. Would not hesitate to stay here again but would ask for a different room.

Our room was large and very nice. The backlit bathroom mirror was a nice touch. The bed was comfortable, and the room was quiet. It was extremely hot in Amarillo the day we arrived, and we were very pleased how fast the air conditioning cooled down the room. The large fridge was nice but we were disappointed it did not include a small freezer for us to refreeze our ice packs. The shower did have weak water pressure but not a deal breaker. The breakfast was good and had many options. Taco Joe's is in walking distance from the hotel.

Our stay in this hotel was very much like home. The room was very spacious. The bathroom was large and well stocked. Comparing this to our last hotel stay it was a "20". No issues at all. Would definitely stay at this site again

We stayed at the BW very soon after it opened and the staff and facilities were way above average. The breakfast was adequate, perhaps a slightly wider range of food would have been nice. It is pet friendly facility.

This hotel is in a nice quiet area that seemed to be safe and pet friendly. We drove 5 minutes to a nice park for walking with the dog. Hotel was relatively new as well. I would stay here again if I were in the area.

Good place just off the freeway. Looks relatively recent build. Good sized room with a king bed (I'm tall). Breakfast was good, and easy as I needed to leave early. A bit of a noisy neighbor, but not hard to sleep.

Our stay here was great. Facility is modern staff is very friendly. Plenty of places to eat within one mile. My car navigation system showed the Amarillo Blvd address as invalid. I tried the Halstead street name as well on car navigation system and got same result. Had to use my iPhone and google maps to get location. Very good breakfast served excellent staff helping keep breakfast bar stocked.

My stay at the Best Western Plus Hotel (Medical District) could not have been more pleasurable. From check-in to room quality to check-out I was extremely happy. Everyone I encountered was professional and friendly. I will return to this facility every time I overnight in Amarillo.

We stayed at the new Best Western Plus on Coulter during our daughter's stay at NWT hospital. Very nice hotel, quiet rooms, and a welcoming staff. Be sure to head north a block and a half to eat at Joe Taco! The hotel room has a fridge and microwave, perfect for leftovers.

Would highly recommend this hotel. Clean rooms and facilities. The staff were friendly and courteous.very fast check in with the pre register e-mail.fast checkout and the desk clerk asked me if there was anything that needed maintenance in the room,first time for that to be asked,great job management is doing at this location.almost forgot the beds were extremely comfortable great nights sleep after traveling.

The staff is very helpful and took care of changing our reservations for future stays as well as in suggesting local restaurants, not just the franchises. Bright and cheerful, very clean. Rooms are quiet and bedding is comfortable. Easy on and off I40. The property is ~3 years old.

Place was very clean but also very new. Breakfast was good. But was kept awake by next door room with dog running around and barking and again in early morning doors slam when you are closing Should keep all pet rooms in one.location. also no senior discount offered. Do not stay there if you need your sleep expensive.

The room was very clean and an overall great experience with a great price. Wi-Fi was easy to connect to and was able to stream and play games. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I will defiantly return.

My company books my hotel stays. Have had some problems with hotels in the area. So when they booked me at Best Western. The staff is awesome especially Brandi. She is very friendly and helpful. I have been staying there every two weeks for the last month or so. I like a certain room and she always tries to get for me. Even if it is a last minute booking.

I've been staying here every 3 months for approximately 2 years and always has been a comfortable and safe place to stay. Nice rooms, decent breakfast, welcoming staff. I would definitely recommend this Best Western location.

Was just driving through and saw this hotel. They had a room available at the right price. Facilities were very clean and the bed was soft and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly. Amarillo is not that hard to get around in so this location is not that out of the way to local attractions.

If you need Professional, Efficient & clean accommodations to stay over while completing your medical treatments or needs this is the place. We are so grateful to have found this wonderful “Home away from home.”

We have stayed at this Amarillo hotel several times. Staff is very courteous. It is in a convenient location for our needs and is always clean. The area is very safe and it is easy to find. A simple breakfast is offered.

This hotel's location was perfect for our stay, as we had a family member in the hospital across the street. It was also very close to several good restaurants. I recommend this property for anyone needing a hotel close to the medical facilities nearby. Would stay here again!

We arrived at 4:30 pm to an unclean room. Spills and smears on surfaces. Old, used and smelly coffee filter in coffee maker. Bathroom floor not swept/mopped. Beds were made but pretty sure the sheets etc were not washed after previous guests. Trash can, unlined, sitting on top of surface instead of floor. I had driven seven hours from the Denver area and my husband was suffering back pain. We are over 65 and not in great shape. Only one person on staff at the hotel. She offered to move us to a room on the other side of the hotel but we were in no shape to load and unload our bags and possessions again. She handed my husband a container of disinfectant wipes and a plastic liner for the trash can. No additional offers of service or discount. We wiped down the surfaces ourselves and had an uncomfortable night in the beds. So happy to get out of there the next morning!

Room 101 was not clean when we arrived on January 8, 2022. Surfaces were dirty from previous occupants, trash can left on top of surface without trash liner. Old, used coffee filter still in the coffee pot! Bathroom not swept/vacuumed. Not even sure the bedsheets were clean although the beds were made. It appeared that housekeeping had jumped ship! When my husband notified the front desk, he was given two options: 1) move to another room or 2) take this plastic trash bag and disinfectant wipes and clean it yourself. I was exhausted after a 7 hour drive from Denver and did not want to load our luggage and belongings onto the cart and move them ourselves. We are not young and my husband was medicating for back pain. The only person on staff was the front desk clerk. Apparently, the hotel is understaffed and should stop booking rooms that they cannot clean! I will request (demand?) a steep discount if not full refund.

This is obviously a new property. Four stories, very clean, with an indoor pool, and a great hot breakfast. The fitness center was open, though I didn't use it. The beds were comfortable and the rooms are spacious. My family would definitely stay here again.

Hotel was OK in general. It's a new building, about three or four years old according to the front desk person. It's all pretty clean. Bathroom toilet paper dispenser was falling off the wall. It looks like the knuckleheads who installed it used one hollow wall anchor in the center and two drywall screws on each end and the screws didn't go into studs. Careless. And why has the staff let that continue? The owners appear to have an eye on the bottom line. Things were cheap. Thinnest, smallest tissue paper. Thin harsh toilet paper. Skimpy duvet. The thermostat was easy to operate but it would only turn the heat up to 70 and in the middle night with a thin blanket, it got a little chilly (there might have been an extra blanket hiding somewhere). Pillows were the typical empty variety. Lay your head on them and it goes down to the bed. The bed was nice and firm. I like a firm mattress so I was happy. No pillow top which was a plus. Breakfast was a fairly complete buffet. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, Cereal options, fruit cups, yogurt and more. It was much better than a continental breakfast. Coffee was so so. Not terrible but not great. No negatives that you see in many hotel reviews such as dirt, bugs, hairs, etc. One more note to keep in mind; if you sign up for the non-refundable reservation, they will not budge. In our case, we were stuck in a huge backup west of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Sat for four hours. Asked if they would give us a break. The manager denied our request. We finally arrived around 1:30 AM. At the time of year we were travelling, we didn't really need to make reservations. We cancelled all of our remaining Best Western reservations and flew by the seat of our pants. It worked out fine (mid-December).

Tammy at the front desk was very accommodating for me and my very sensitive dog. She gave us a room to help me get him inside quickly and easily. It was a very easy and quick check in and check out and the breakfast is phenomenal. I'll stay here again every time I travel from Colorado to Texas!

We have stayed at this location several times this year. The staff is always friendly and tentative. I have kids and always need extra help getting things for the room. They never come across as frustrated or put out. Best Western has become our first choice when traveling as each location has done so well with staffing.

Stay was great , hotel was nice and clean . Would recommend any to stay. Staff is great along with a great breakfast on the way out. Location of place was easy to get in and out of as well. Any where I go I will be looking for a Best Western hotel

This has been one of the best experiences in a hotel in a while. The hotel has good decor, very new looking rooms, thoughtfully laid out. Breakfast was great. I liked the stay, felt like home. I would definitely go there again.

We were in town for a medical emergency and were SO blessed to land at the Best Western Plus Medical Center. Everyone was beyond caring and made our stay so personable. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, breakfast is great, and the staff is outstanding. Please stay here - you will not be disappointed!

This hotel appears to be fairly new. Overall it is a prime example of what a hotel should be. In addition to a beautiful building it is very clean. The all of the staff are very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good. This hotel is one of the better ones we stayed at.

We had a great stay overall. The indoor heated pool was a little cold for me. The breakfast was good, but a little more variety would be very much appreciated. The hotel was very clean and the staff was friendly and prompt to help!

Most hotel today have let their quality slide, maybe it is because of Covid, or maybe just a “don't care” attitude towards their guests, but this Best Western has not. The staff was fantastic, the rooms and hotel were spotless and the breakfast was not only edible (rate for hotel free fare) but actually quite good. I highly recommend this hotel when staying in the Amarillo area.

Clean, new property with a GREAT staff. Right off 40 so great location. Comfy beds, nice hot breakfast and employees who care about their customers. Great value. Will definitely return when traveling thru this area.

Great place to stay unless you're in a wheel chair. The elevator door closed too quickly before wheel chair could get in. The room door was too heavy to open while entering in a wheelchair. But everything else was great.

You will not find a better group of people, Ted, Red, and Terri to name a few, make you feel at home. The facility is clean, well lit, welcoming and prices are fair. Housekeeping is top notch for both check in and stay over for the personal rooms, and very clean public areas. Hot breakfast is one of the best you will find available, always hot, full and an amazing variety.I would highly recommend this hotel and the staff, if you want a place that feels like a home away from home!!

I stayed at Best Western Medical in Amarillo on our trip home from a road trip to Colorado. I travel every couple of months for pleasure and often stay at Best Western. This Best Western is probably the nicest Best Western I have stayed in. I have stayed in other hotels as well, Hampton Inns, etc., and this is the Best hotel I have EVER stayed in.

I made reservation at this hotel as a paid stay even though we had nearly 100,000 BW rewards points. Our membership in BW rewards is Diamond Select status--BW's highest tier. Every single BW hotel we have ever stayed in immediately upgrades to a Suite based on our membership level. It is a special courtesy afforded by the hotels, since our tier level shows our loyalty to the BW brand. This hotel took two calls to try to get this done. Based on the second call, I cancelled the reservation and booked elsewhere. This hotel seemed unwilling to, or unsure of what to do, to get the upgrade to the Suite. When I said I would book elsewhere, the hotel grudgingly did the upgrade, but I ended up booking elsewhere because 1. I shouldn't have to beg for an upgrade based on our loyalty tier status, and 2. based on my two calls to the property, I felt this stay was off to a bad start. We travel so frequently, that just by telephone conversations, I am able to judge a property fairly well on the service you will receive during your stay, or in this case, lack of. You can make an informed decision from my review if you want to stay here or not. We chose not to.

A brand new hotel, but lacking in comfort, safety, and decor. The desk staff seemed disinterested in their job. The room chair was very uncomfortable, the beds were way to high to get into, and the bathtub was slippery with no rail, so I almost fell twice. The decor was sterile, and the breakfast was lacking items (no cream cheese for the bagels, old bread, salty eggs, etc.). Our GPS would not find this hotel and kept taking us to the Quality Inn instead. Maybe we should have stayed there.

Very nice hotel! Friendly and helpful staff. Very quiet for sleeping! No trains, plasm freeways close by. The breakfast was good but lacked fresh apples. Not sure if they just ran out before we got there, or didn't offer them.

This new hotel had just opened and the property was clean from the outside to the lobby to our room. This is a plus for us. Located one street away from the freeway, so, no noise. Friendly employees. My husband & I like a new, clean hotel so this fit the bill.

Nice clean room. Friendly staff. Quiet. Great complimentary breakfast. Lots of variety, choose from eggs to cold cereal. It was right off the 40 so convenient for our road trip. Bathtub was very slippery, no grippy mat. Walking distance to Joe Taco restaurant.

We stayed for 3 nights in a King Suite. Room was very clean and comfortable. All staff were friendly and kind. The amenities were very good, while Covid protocol was being followed. I highly recommend this Best Western for anyone staying in the Armadillo area.

I stay at BW Plus properties for work pretty often, but my family had never stayed in one until we stopped at this location on a family road trip. They all loved the clean, modern finishes, pool and hot breakfast buffet. This property was a great value too!

Stayed here one night travel in thou to the west coast. I found the hotel to be spotlessly clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. 2 people were ahead of me at check in and my wait was minimal. And the decor is up to date and modern. Simply a great place to stay.

Great stay and would recommend this hotel. Breakfast was great too. Everything was clean, staff were pleasant and rooms were very large to fulfil every traveler. Hotel is 2 years old and everything worked as expected. Beds were very comfortable and tv choices were plenty.

I was charged $673..72 for three nights. Aproximately, $224.57, plus a booking service by phone call $14.99. I was not informed that there is a booking fee and they did not honor the price I found on line for $120.00 per night. Question: Why put discounts on line, if your not going to honor them. I asked for the copy of my cost & bill for each night. The person at the desk stated she could not give me a copy & I should receive it by email. All the email stated was zero balance. Saturday we came back from a funeral and the room was not cleaned. We were tired and just asked for clean towels.

We had a wonderful one night stay during a road trip. We chose this hotel as it is a newer property and is in a safe and convenient location on the west side of town. The hotel and rooms were tastefully done and immaculate. I appreciate the carpeted and clean stairs as I much prefer taking the stairs over the elevator. My only complaint would be the poor sound proofing and slamming doors.

This hotel looks really nice and upscale. The rooms were very clean, and smells really nice. Feels like a Vegas hotel. Decorations and amenities were great. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area.

You would think that a hotel associated with a cancer medical facility would have some compassion for the guests. That is not the case. It's extremely unsafe to stay here if you are immunocompromised and have cancer. The staff also clearly has no respect for your safety and the outcome of your treatment. Avoid this place at all costs.

Front desk staff were delightful. Family friendly. Dog friendly. Super clean and new appearance to everything. Well maintained. Room was spacious and well accommodated with fridge, microwave and coffee pot.

Not worth the cost to stay at this hotel. Breakfast is poor, check in is slow. They have minimal staff on hand. Plus should mean something besides being able to charge more. The only thing this hotel has going for it is that it is a newer property.

It is the most eloquently decorated Best Western motel we had ever visited. Our room has provided us a C-shaped reading table for the single couch, which is of great value. The comfortable bed and quiet room blessed us with much needed rest.

Overall the staff and the cleanliness the this hotel lobby rooms etc were exceptional the staff were very intuitive to all my needs the beds were very comfortable quite slept so good will definitely rate this experience very high would defiantly stay here again and would very much recommend

If you don't care about breakfast, that's the best place for you to stay. Brand new hotel, very clean, the location is great and the facilities are a must. The breakfast however is nothing but a joke. The room didn't have any tables or chairs at all, the orange juice machine was spilling nothing but dirty water and no one from the staff was available to help the guest or fix these issues.

We could hear footsteps in the room above us, doors closing in the hallway, and the person in the room next to ours as they blew their nose (and it sounded like it was in our room). Could not get any rest, which is all we wanted. This hotel appears to be very new so it was extremely disappointing.

In the process of moving out of state from California & stopped in Amarillo, TX. This hotel was beautiful inside & out. The staff was very polite & helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel for value as well as location.

I stayed here for 2 nights. The first night we went into the pool. It was extremely cloudy and murky water. It does not appear as if it has been inspected and or cleaned in some time. The entrance to the lobby had a trash can piled over with garbage, and garbage sitting on the floor next too it. The front desk clerk, aside from having a very dirty shirt on, was not friendly. I needed to do a load of laundry, to which they did not have change to supply to guests who needed to do laundry at their facility, which is an amenity that they offer. If you are a member of HOG, I would strongly advise not staying here, they are not motorcycle friendly at all. I would just avoid this hotel at all costs, it is not worth the money at all.

Wow, this place was beautiful. Even had "new car" smell. The rooms were immaculate. Very nice polite staff. Front desk clerk was wonderful. 2 tv's in our room. good value. Great continental breakfast. Can pick your items but not eat there because of Covid which was fine. Good protocol for cleanliness. Super quiet. Bathroom very clean and modern. Great value. Believe there was a pool but we got there late. Can't say enough about this place. New and super clean.

Stayed here as we were passing through to Colorado. Easy to get to and seemed like a safe area with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. Friendly staff, very clean rooms and seemed like a new hotel. We had plenty of towels and the room exceeded our expectations. They have a grab and go breakfast consisting of make your own pancakes, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, cereal, juice, coffee and yogurt. Would stay again.

Beautiful hotel great amenities. Rooms very clean and comfortable. 97% of our overnight stay was amazing however I found out early morning why signs asking people to be considerate of other guests. 730 am is not the time to be having loud conversations in the hallway and slamming doors multiple times

We experienced good, quick service checking in. The room was spacious, clean, quiet and the beds were very comfortable. The eating space was closed, but there were a number of options that we took to our room to eat. All in all a very comfortable and affordable experience for a quick night's sleep on the road.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Sign on the front door says masks are required, but not even the lady at the front desk was wearing a mask, let alone the guests and most of the other employees I saw. Breakfast was COVID fare: yogurt, fruit cups, cereal, oatmeal, breakfast burritos, pancakes, and Jimmy Dean biscuit /croissant breakfast sandwiches. Our room was very clean, pillows were comfy, bed was a little too hard for my taste. The pool was cold, workout room was very nice. Wifi was very good. The only thing that I could really say that was bad was the water pressure in the shower. It barely got the soap and shampoo off, even when my husband moved the dial so that just the center sprayed (we were on the first floor). Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Quiet, convenient location near a local medical complex. We stayed overnight after a long day of driving. The hotel looks great and our room was spacious and clean. COVID protocols were followed by all staff. Breakfast was a limited affair due to COVID but try the touch less pancake maker! They also had other individually wrapped hot options. Try Joe Taco a block or two away, great tacos.

I've stayed at many Best Westerns and this hotel is top notch. Traveled back across the country with my girlfriend and two dogs after a death in the family and the friendly and helpful staff made this stop a very needed relief. The hotel is extremely clean and quite beautiful. To be able to find this hotel booking hours before our stay with generous rates and dog friendly was amazing. I will definitely stay again next time through Amarillo.

Very clean! Looked new! Easy access for large moving vans and trucks. Friendly staff. Good breakfast for the current times. My pet loved his first elevator ride! Would definitely stay here again! AWESOME BEDS!!

Flew into Amarillo on business. Checked into 1st room, cracker crumbs were on floor & old newspaper was in bedside table. Wished I had taken pic. Hotel' s Manager was at front desk and gave me another room key. Never mind an apology for unclean room. He said, his housekeepers had assured him the room was cleaned. The next room had a 1/2 bottle Corona in trash. I'm certain his housekeepers told him they cleaned that room too. Yuck..Unsanitary place during COVID19. Just say NO to that Petri dish!

The only downside is if you arrive after 8 pm there is only a Waffle House open. Everything else is great: Beautifully renovated hotel, great staff, nice breakfast options, and quiet neighborhood during the weekend, easy access from the interstate.

Stopped here on way home from Colorado and what a pleasant stay. The hotel is very clean and quiet, rooms new and very comfortable. My family all raved at how well they slept and how nice this hotel is.

+ This BWP (May 2021) is new or newly renovated- new floors, carpets, room decor. The hallways smelled fresh + Neat, and cozy room. Bed was good as well. + Good, well structured breakfast for no-contact or minimal contact + New, fast elevators + Convenient location, parking + Big functional lobby with good decor +- The room was very clean. Some nooks could do with a bit more more attention

This place has everything! Beautiful decor, big spacious rooms, pet friendly, nice variety of snacks and drinks to purchase located in the lobby near the front desk. Room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. Location was quiet and the room was dark when the lights were off and the curtains closed. Staff was friendly and accommodating! (Just don't order from the OrderInn menu in the room. This is an off-site venue not associated with Best Westerb. The food is previously frozen, over priced garbage!)

We stayed one night here with our dog. Hotel is newer and has two luggage carts and two elevators.Our room faced the well-lit parking lot. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable with no issues whatsoever. The comp breakfast consisted of self serve breakfast tacos, yogurt, pancakes, coffee/tea and other items. All in all a pleasant stay after a long day on the road.

The desk clerk on arrival was rude and not helpful when we asked about parking our truck and trailer that we were pulling. He told us in a snippy tone that "if we couldn't find a place to park it in the lot to go park it on the street" Also this hotel is next to a fire department that had fire trucks going out with sirens going through out the night. We are not use to that noise so we will not be staying there again. It did have nice rooms and a good choice for breakfast!

This seems to be a newer BW, but the security outside seems to be a bit lacking. The lighting in the parking lot was lacking so we were a bit concerned about our vehicle. The hotel itself was fine, except the bed. It was so uncomfortable and we both woke up with back aches. The bed was super lumpy and the pillows were tiny. The place was either just remodeled or the building is new so everything looked clean, but with no breakfast that was the norm for BW other than basically granola bars, we weren't super excited. The price based on the others we went to that same week on our road trip was a bit outrageous and seemed to be taking advantageous of the people that need to stay at the nearby medical center.

Argued with my husband who brought his daughter to swim and was extremely rude and hateful didn't refund deposit or money for early check out. Accused me of sneaking in a pet and argued and cussed at me and my guests

The hotel was clean and in good working order. The room was missing the additional sheets for the pull out sofa, but I called front desk and she had them ready for me ASAP. Breakfast was surprising. Due to COVID, everything was j do usually packaged but variety was not lacking. There were individually wrapped Jimmy Dean sandwiches, breakfast tacos, yogurts, juices, milks, cereals, and fruit cups. There was also hot coffee and a touch less pancake maker! I had stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton down the road just a week earlier and my stay at Best Western was much more enjoyable. I would stay here again!

Our stay at the Best Western Plus Medical Center was a stop-over on a cross country trip. Having stayed at this property before we were not disappointed. The room was clean and bed comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this motel to others.

I called the is place to make a reservation. The front desk Miss Korin K helped get it made and answered my questions and was very informative !! I know this place is very nice and clean and very well kept . When i arrived to check in Korin helped get me to my room and wjth the help of her manager Eli i was able to park my truck and see it from my room. No one has ever made me feel more at home than this place!! Next time this will always be my choice of a hotel.!!

I booked this room to spend the night close to my daughter as she was leaving to bootcamp the next morning. The hotel was very clean, had everything you need. The plus for me was the gray blankets. I forgot my fuzzy warm blanket and when I saw the gray blanket I was content. Thank you for the hard work especially during this pandemic. Kudos to all the staff.

This hotel was by far, the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in. Easy check in, very comfortable beds, spotless bathroom, no room smell, the heat/air unit was not loud. They even had a hot breakfast burrito to go, hot coffee, packaged cinnamon rolls!

We checked in very late but were received with a smile and made to feel very special, room was large clean and well lighted. Hotel was very Covid prepared. They had a hot breakfast that was better than most none covid times. would stay here my next trip.

This hotel looked great from the road. I called and talked to such a friendly woman on the phone. Upon arrival she was busy, so an obviously aggravated man checked us in. He was for lack of a better term...a complete jerk. I was quoted 115 for the night on the phone. I paid over 208. I wish we would have just kept on driving. We could have stayed somewhere nicer with much better service for that price. He was put out by any questions I had. We woke up to snow the next morning and we were on our way home with a 7 hour drive ahead. So, we went down early for grab and go breakfast. The friendly woman was gone and the rude man was still there. Tried to be friendly by saying good morning...no response. Tried to set my room card on the counter to check out. He responded by literally snapping his fingers at me and saying "no, the card goes there" and pointed to a bowl. I get it that he may be stressed about covid19 procedures. However, you don't speak to guests like that. You negotiate friendliness to your guests upon arrival, when meeting them in halls, common areas, etc. He is clearly in the wrong line of work. The hospitality industry needs people that are kind, friendly, and pleasant. He really put a sour note on our stay.

This is a brand new clean location with great views! Fast pair of elevators and plenty of parking even for trailers! The TV is high on the wall so it can be easily viewed. There are USB ports for charging your phone. Huge chandeliers in the lobby very impressed and there is good management there.

While traveling from one state to another my family and I had to stop for the night, we were treated extremely poorly at the counter when inquiring are 2 rooms for the night; were told that there was only one room available, yet the parking lot was not full and I personally watched as 3 other parties came in without reservations and were given rooms.

The night front desk clerk charged me 61.00 $ to extend my stay 1 night....when I woke up I saw my card charged 115$ UNAUTHORIZED! I called down and Casey the front desk worker denied doing so then passed me off to Eli Gonzalez the manager who called the police because I wanted my money back....the police come they lie to them and say that I'm trespassing and I had to leave or be arrested and no refund was issued at all! This place is awful

Driving from Tennessee to California, and being a Rewards member, I stayed at this location for the night. This is a 2 year old property and is conveniently located off of Hwy 40. I arrived early and had high hopes for a great stay. Upon entering the lobby, I noted no one manning the check-in desk. And at around 5pm, being a peak time, you'd expect there to be someone as this is a multi-story property. I walked up to find a little sign saying "I've stepped away and will be back soon". I waited several minutes before finding someone who looked like they worked there and asked if anyone could check me in. Fortunately I used the pre-arrival check in and was in the system already. They gave me my room keys but said a manager would have to get back to me regarding applying the electronic gift cards I'd accumulated from prior stays to reduce my bill. The Manager never called. Later, I decided to try and contact the Manager and was met with a very frazzled voice on the other end of the phone. They stated they were the Manager but was in the middle of resolving a customer issue and would have to get back to me later. Later never happened. At check-out, I was met with the same no one home message board (around 8:30am). Again I tracked someone down and the individual didn't know how to apply the gift cards. He then found someone who could help. It was a very "clunky" long process that didn't feel like it should have been. On the positive side, the hotel is new and clean and near Hwy 40 so very convenient. The negative is the people/service side of operating the hotel is severely lacking. I'd stay again for a "just passing through" stay as this was, but not for more than a night or for any recreational or business stay.

Everything was superior at this hotel. Great value for the money. Went on 2 week trip in Colorado and always stayed at Best Western. Great value for the money Rooms were comfortable and the hotels were close to a variety of restaurants and activities.

New and wonderful place to stay if you r in Amarillo tx everything is new at this hotel so hurry to book You will not regret it even have a good breakfast to go even have 18 wheeler parking for truckers

We had a pleasant evening here, driving as too the country. It is very clean, spacious, and quiet. The desk personnel are helpful and cheerful. The work-out room was better than most, and the prices good. Breakfast was a notch above as well.

As a former frequent business traveler, I am used to staying in really good high end hotels. Our stay in BW Plus Amarillo was a very pleasant revelation: very clean hotel, stylish decor, great staff, sparklingly clean room, nice area for pets, hot breakfast! Can you believe that? They have a hot breakfast during these times!

Updated review from June 2019 (from 3 to 4 stars). This BWPlus is fairly new, having been opened in late 2018/early 2019 I recall. Location is nondescript but very close to Medical Center and Interstate 40 (plenty of restaurants, motels, shopping...). Amarillo is very easy to get around all the city (I grew up here but have not lived here for 40+ years). Visit often. For the money, this hotel is excellent value. New, Large rooms, very contemporary design. Functionality (HVAC, bedding, toilet/shower)....all very good. Cleanliness is acceptable. The "grab and go" breakfast bag in this era of COVID sensitivity is excellent. Been to other BW properties and Marriotts from May 2020 to Aug 2020 and this breakfast is the best. Plenty of choices in the bag (fruit, granola bar, cereal, danish pastry) AND two selections of hot items (breakfast tacos or sandwiches...) plus select your own yogurt, sealed juices, milk and coffee. Pool was closed but understandable. This stay was for 5 days with two grandsons. Used as a base to explore many fun activities in/around Amarillo. Rates are very good hence great value. Parking plentiful and well lit. Why choose another?

We really enjoyed the configuration of the hotel where all the rooms faced out to the parking lot. It allowed us to park in front of the hotel and we could easily check on our car out front. We would definitely stay st this hotel again.

Found this hotel by accident and sure happy I did. Was at another motel where I was moved twice due to my dissatisfaction with that motels' cleanliness. So happy to have found this Best Western Plus just 2 blocks down from my meeting location and only $20 more in price. This hotel was safe, very clean, organized and staff attitude was so much better than the one I left! Very happy and would recommend!

A nice hotel and convenient on/off I-40. Needs a 2nd front desk person on weekends as check in took way to long for 7-8 people and only one person at front desk. The room was nice and clean and sanitized. We enjoyed the grab and go breakfast offered.

Most best western plus's are very good. Breakfast not as good as usual , I think because of Covid 19.. Items that are bagged up are simply not as good. Overall other than the limitations that was imposed on the dining area everything else was very good.

If you want a clean room (especially during this pandemic) stay here! Location is great, but cleanliness always trumps location in my book. Breakfast won't disappoint. They offer a grab and go breakfast complete with hot breakfast items. Definitely a must stay if you're stopping in Amarillo!

This is a new hotel build within the last year. It is wonderful and clean and comfortable place to to take a break after a long day on the road. This is a gem that is rarely found(lots have been redone but few are new. When checked in the clerk got us a free limo ride to the Big Texan Steakhouse. Breakfast was a grab and go with fruit, yogurt, danish, milk, juice, and coffee, and hot items (corn dogs and Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches. If you have made plans to stay somewhere else in Amarillo, Texas change your plans and stay at this most special new hotel.

This was our first time to stay at this hotel. We were in a King Suite. We found it clean and quiet. The king bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable.... Not quite to the king bed standard but better than normal. We will definitely stay here again if the need arises.

The pet fee was astronomical!!! Never again! I will always call first. Also, the room was huge but virtually had no seating for even 2 people. We had one chair with a tiny end table type thing, no coffee table, and one computer chair. With Corona, we brought our food back and didn't have any way to sit together to eat it. I sat on the ottoman and my husband in the chair and we shared the TINY end table. There is no loveseat or sofa to sit on and watch TV if you wanted to. The room was big enough for a full living room set and it looked silly it was so empty.

I booked through Trip Advisor. Knowing we would have an early morning departure we elected a lower cost room with no breakfast option. When it was time to select the room, it wasn't an option. $10 difference so not a big deal. I was charged $5 upon check-in in case we utilized amenties or damaged the room. This is to be refunded and remains to be seen. The room and hotel are clean and as good as anything for the price. Easy to access from Interstate.

We liked everything about this BW. Hotel appears to be new. Very clean, nice contemporary decor, large and comfortable rooms. Great lighting in the bathroom (finally a hotel that gets this!). Great price.

I use to be very hesitant about staying at a Best Western, but you guys have really stepped you game up... Your staff is very polite, place very clean, very stylish, prices hasn't been that bad either. Thumbs up Best Western!! KEEP THIS UP AND YOU WILL HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!

We chose this hotel because it is located away from I-40 traffic noise. It was a quiet place to stay. The hotel is fairly new and everything is comfortable. The room and bathroom were spacious. The refrigerator was larger than usual. Everything was great.

We drove 14 hours to get to this specific BW. We stayed there last year and liked it. It is new, modern, clean, convenient and the staff is great. We went to Joe Taco, 2 blocks away, to eat before check in, then crashed at the hotel. The rooms are nicely appointed and decorated. The breakfast is a complete buffet with everything. It is worth planning your trip around this BW.

We were so surprised and pleased to arrive at our modern, new, spacious Best Western hotel! We would highly recommend, a friendly greeting upon arrival and our room was spotless and smelled good. GREAT value for the price, we would HIGHLY recommend!

I accidentally booked our stay with reward points one night to early. The management was kind enough to reimburse my points which was very much appreciated. The facilities are nice and the staff is very helpful.

Everything is new - the hotel is only a year old. Lovely rooms - beautiful decor. Breakfast wasn't anything special. The price was very reasonable for a new hotel. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay again.

Motel was very nice looking and well taken care of! Staff was super friendly and helpful! Rooms were comfy! close to everything we needed-restaurants,stores,etc! Pool was supposed to be heated but wasnt more than room temperature, i told one of the staff and they raised the temperature! Awesome

This is a wonderful place to stay for several reasons. It is very clean, close to the main businesses, and hospitals. My room was very quiet and very, very clean. The beds were so comfortable. Such nice people. The breakfast was good and the area was very clean. I have stayed in may motels the past year and this one is at the top pf the list in all areas.

Just a quick stay on the way back home after dropping our kid off at college. This hotel was clean & efficient & served our purpose well. Accomodating with a late check in & it was great to have a convenient breakfast before hitting the road. We would definitely book again! Thanks!

Average basic hotel. Towels were small and very rough. There was no where to hang hand towel. Pillows were small and mildly comfortable. Fridge ran loud and my husband finally just unplugged it. Hotel and room were very clean though and breakfast good with standard choices. One of the 3 staff member was not friendly. Other 2 were very nice. Not my first pick of places to stay in future.

This hotel is new and very well appointed. Very comfortable at a reasonable price. The breakfast is top notch, the fitness center is good, and the pool is heated and very nice too. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

We were very impressed with this hotel as soon as we walked in the front door. It is very modern and airy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The guest room was extremely attractive and modern. The breakfast room was large and bright and breakfast was quite good. It was our first stay here and it will not be our last.

This was our last night in Texas and we were headed home. We had just stayed 7 nights in a BW in another small town... Which was also great! This hotel is new and shiny....Staff was friendly and helpful. Did not use any amenities, but the pool looked nice. Room was quiet and clean. The parking lot is well lit and hotel is in a safe neighborhood.Amarillo is my home town. So i will give them a thumbs up on home town friendliness.I miss that in my travels! Ps Breakfast was hot with many options. Did not see a breakfast attendant. Which i like too.

This hotel met every expectations that I could ever have asked for. Very clean,updated,nice staff,comfortable bed everything wonderful. It was in close range of good restaurants and the entrance to the hotel was beautiful! The rooms were very large! We enjoyed ourselves and my husband and I will be coming back to stay!

A brand new and very clean hotel! Cheap price for the quality of stay. Free breakfast buffet and a heated indoor pool. Convenient location to everything in Amarillo. We would definitely stay here again.

This newer hotel is a great place to kick your heels up. We had been on the road so this was just the place we needed to unwind. The staff is friendly and the hotel is immaculately clean. Our room was well appointed with two TVs and a sitting area. The bathroom is huge with plenty of linens and nice toiletries. We slept in too late to take advantage of the free breakfast.

The hotel is nice enough, but having booked a room using 16,000 BW Reward points, the reception clerk wanted to charge me $34.50 for our one night stay. The reservation confirmation clearly stated $0.00 due, but the clerk insisted that they charge all BW points users this fee, a 'local policy'. I refused, and spent 45 minutes to resolve the issue with BW Customer Support. I see a scam at work here.

Clean room, comfortable beds and a good breakfast. Just standard for the BW brand. We had to stay in Amarillo due to a medical issue while traveling. I looked for a BW because I wanted us to have a comfortable safe place and that's what we received.

This was by far the nicest Best Western I've stayed in. The hotel was clean, beautiful, and very much worth the price. The breakfast was a typical complimentary breakfast, but the lady working made sure everything was full and fresh. The indoor pool was just what the kids wanted- and it didn't disappoint.

Wonderful hotel! Check in was a little long due to training. This hotel was the cleanest hotel I have ever been in. Zero complaints and we WILL stay here again and I highly recommend to anyone looking for accommodations in the Amarillo area!

This was a very nice Best Western... only a year old (from what we understand) and in great shape it was a pleasure ot stay here. The staff was also very nice (i.e. great southern hospitality) and helpful and made our stay very enjoyable! The Bed was very comfortable and I slept very well that night. The walls were a bit thin though (we heard someone coughing in the evening but when we put our heater fan on permanently the noise level was certainly lessened!

Nice clean hotel. The hotel rooms are in immaculate condition. Breakfast was really good too. It is a bit expensive, especially for Amarillo. But all the other hotels in the area (Holiday Inn Express) were the same price. I don't understand why the price are so high. I will give it four and a half stars out of five.

This was our first stay at this best western. It was a good stay for me and my family. The facility was new and had a lot of new amenities. We would recommend this facility to other families and will visit again when in town.

Best Western Plus Medical Center is a new property that was an excellent place to stop for the night, get a good night sleep and have an excellent breakfast before our 7 hour drive the next day! We will stay here again.

The first room we were put in the air did not work, the fridge was off and sweating inside (I needed to use for breast milk) and our door wouldn't latch. We were moved to another room in which the fridge was also off. Night staff apologized and said they would have the manager contact us to see if they could make something right but no one ever reached out. Towels are very rough and walls are paper thin. Staff was nice and room was clean. Great location. Loved being able to get a crib free of charge; however, for safety reasons they need to supply crib sheets instead of flat sheets

The room was very spacious and comfortable with everything that we needed. it was a little awkward driving to it however being a little further away from the interstate makes it quieter for better sleeping. There is a Walmart and also a Denny's not far away that is needed when traveling. The staff was exceptional and answered all of our needs.

We were charged for an extra stay. Tried straightening out with front desk by showing charges on bank account on my phone. Front desk denied those charges. Called bank and got trace, check, sequence and batch numbers. Supposedly the manager, Eli, that we talked to said those numbers mean nothing to him. Bottom line, Eli is an idiot and we got ripped off

Very good full breakfast, very clean large room, the bed and pllows were comfortable. The internet was fast. My husand had trouble signing on with his computer, but there was a place to plug in to get internet by LAN.

Of all the 3/4 story contemporary hotels I stayed in during my 31 day cross country trip, this was the nicest. However, although right on the side of the highway it is difficult to get to. The legal address doesn't come up on google maps. It took me 45 minutes and two phone calls to the front desk to get directions. Management needs to work with Google/ other web sites to get address programmed in or legally change its address or face an ongoing stream of frustrated travelers. Room was nice & breakfast had real omelets not those mysterious yellow scrambled egg product things...

Got in late after a long days travel on our cross country adventure.easy check-in and good clean room. And we had a great location and good selection for running a quick errand before getting back on schedule.

The Best stop on any trip taken. The Front desk crew were the Best for any of our needs. This is the BEST BW ever used on our travels. It is all advertised and more. I would drive out of my way to stay again.

This is a new Best Western Plus. Lovely upscale hotel. Rooms were beautiful & beds comfortable. Staff was pleasant & offered me my snack or points option which the way we travel I took the points. We were disappointed that there was no coffee or water station in the lobby. That was a first for us.

This is what you look for in a hotel. Since it is less than a year old everything is in good shape. Also, not very busy so that helped. What I needed, where I needed it and very comfortable. Don't know why you would stay anywhere else.

Great hotel and staff. Rooms are very nice and was quiet. Breakfast was good. Would be nice to have country gravy and bacon though. Is close to all the shopping you can want and close to hospital. Will definitely stay again.

Surprise! This is a gorgeous, brand new hotel. Its beautiful decor is definitely upscale. Our room had a nice bit extra space and very comfortable furnishings. Lighting is bright and cheerful. Despite being near I-40, it was quiet with no noise from neighboring rooms either. In addition to a very good night's sleep, we found abundant restaurants and shops nearby. This is in the new end of town and has great access and parking.

Very different setup and very brightly colored. Looks like they were not quite sure how to design the big space of the lobby. Should have given more room for check-in. Rooms are bright and clean with a nicely designed bathroom. Breakfast was okay but the employee did not keep it up. No cups for coffee or juice so you know it did not just happen. The cheese omelettes were burnt. Everything else seemed good.

With the heavily traveled I-40 right there, it is nice to find this a bit away from the noisy freeway. at the west end of Amarillo so you have the city behind you if you're traveling west, easy to leave in the morning. Large and clean breakfast area. Definitely one of the better properties off I-40.

A newer property complete with a "Now Open" banner hanging on an exterior wall,(although in operation for 8 months), at first glance offers certain expectations, but, in practice, falls short of Best Western Plus standards, in my experience. All the newness is great, the rooms clean, amenities in expected working order, but what lets this property down is the lack of attention to detail. The bathroom barn-door style door was poorly hung, did not slide easily and did not close fully. It was too heavy for an old geezer such as myself to move easily and required a hefty push. Unfortunately, since it serves as either a bathroom or closet door depending on its position, if someone exits the bathroom while someone is using the closet, risk of injury to one or the other exists. My wife, who was in the closet opening as I exited the bathroom hopped out of the way before being t-boned by the door, an incident that I'd never hear the end of had she not avoided the contact, I can assure you. Another observation: I realize its not a restaurant, but the basics of neatness of tables and food display area and restocking of items should not be overlooked. There was no one in attendance, so tables were messy from crumbs and spills of prior diners and the food area counters were the same. Items were not being restocked when depleted. Trash container had shmutz on its door that discouraged its use; simple wipe of a rag would've remedied that. In reality, this property rates a "lower than average" designation because it doesn't yet measure up to average Plus property standards based on my experience with the brand.

Excellent hotel, very modern decor and all amenities are new.breakfast was amazing. staff very friendly helped us get warm milk for our fussy toddler. Room was nice and beds super comfy.checkin check out hassle free.

The rooms, lobby and breakfast areas were very clean and the service was great. Breakfast was on time and a good selection of food was available. The rates are very good. The location is near all of the major medical facilities in Amarillo which made it perfect for my stay. I would definitely stay at this Best Western again.

Making a reservation directly with the Best Western Medical Center in Amarillo, TX proved to be the wrong thing to do. The reservation agent would not accept my credit card and would not confirm that the number I had given was correct. I supplied a second card which satisfied the reservation. The next day upon arrival, it was discovered that the agent had entered the wrong check in date and that my reservation was cancelled as a “no-show”. Elijah, who I assume is the manager, presented a very brusque and domineering attitude. He would not accept that the mistake was on their agent's part and that as a onetime courtesy, he would refund the charge for not arriving the day before. He would not honor the quoted rate I had received as I am a rewards member and stated that I would have to pay the current prices. He refused to honor the more discounted price of the previous reservation. When I asked what his reasons were, he became obstinate and confrontational and told me I was, in fact, not welcome to stay there at all. I have never been thrown out of anywhere in my 60 years. There are many hotel options in this section of Amarillo. I suggest avoiding the Best Western as they are clearly not part of the Hospitality industry.

Convenient location. Clean property. Easy access to restaurants, grocery stores, and service stations. Wifi service is first rate. The availability of entertainment is good.this is a property that my wife and myself avail ourselves on a regular basis.

Wonderful hotel with comfortable beds and great shower. The hot breakfast was exceptional. I definitley will use this hotel when in the area. Friendly staff and plenty of well lighted parking. We felt very safe at this hotel.

It was great to stay in a new Best Western that offered all the new features. The room were spacious, the bed was real comfortable. The only room problem, I had to ask the desk for a hair dryer that suppose to be in the room. The breakfast room help was not available when there was not eggs to be served.

Everything about this place impressed. We were treated with a very helpful and friendly staff member at the front desk. That set the tone for the rest of our stay. Nice room, great bed, very quiet evening. From the exterior through check out everything was done exceptionally well. Will stay here again.

Spent 620 miles on the bikes, was greeted with a smile from front desk, great check in, brand new hotel and it smells like it. Beautiful rooms, great breakfast. We were well rested for next days ride.

The Best Western Plus is a nice newer hotel in the Medical Center area. I was impressed with the hotel overall, my room was spacious and comfortable, utilizing the space wisely. I heard nothing at night so sleep was great. Breakfast is included and is the usual suspects served in a large clean lounge. Staff was a pleasure to deal with. The only suggestion I have is that Best Western RECYCLE the mountain of paper and plastic waste being created.

I almost lost my life riding my motorcycle, When I arrived in Amarillo, I was badly shaken. My family asked me to stop by their home and stay the night. They know I was shaken. At which time I called Best Western to cancel. I was told I must cancel 24 hours before. I informed the Best Western of my situation and they were unconcern and uncaring. I eventually checked in. Upon check out, I went to get some ice to fill my cup. I asked the desk clerk where is the ice. He told me. After getting my ice. I was stepping off the elevator and the desk clerk handed me the bill just as I got off the elevator. Wow-what a way to treat a customer. Management needs to bring in a team to train the entire staff including management on effective customer service. This training is badly needed.

I drove into Amarillo at night, without a reservation, from Oklahoma City, midway through a cross-country roadtrip from Atlanta to Los Angeles. I checked out several MORE EXPENSIVE places along the I-40 access road (e.g. Drury Inn, Courtyard Marriott, Holiday Inn Express) and was not satisfied with the location or the environment. I found the Best Western Plus Medical Center a little further into town (best not so far that it would be inconvenient) and was so impressed by the appearance and cleanliness of the facility, the price point, and, most of all, the helpfulness and consideration of the staff. Even late in the evening, the staff was really patient and thoughtful with my inquiries and did their best to make sure I was comfortable. For anyone traveling along Route 66 or who finds themselves in Amarillo for any reason, I would DEFINITELY recommend staying here.

This is in a great location. Right off I 40 and close to shopping, the hospitals. Safe neighborhood The staff was very friendly. Always smiling, very accomodating Great breakfast food choices, hot and cold foods. The dining area was clean, felt very welcoming.

Decided to stop in Amarillo instead of driving straight to Oklahoma after 16 hours. Came into a newly renovated hotel beautifully decorated only to wake up after a 5 hour sleep and find BED BUGS crawling on both my children and my 6 month pregnant self.

This hotel is a new build, finished 7 months ago. So, it is very clean, fresh and up to date. It still smells new. It is near many nice restaurants. Near I 40 for those who are passing through. There is currently a lot of construction on I 40 in Amarillo but this hotel is out of the construction area.

hotel is new but both apparently maids need more training. one room had a bug in the bed and the other had hair on the toilet seat and on the pillow. I have been to many BW hotels and for a new one this needs better staffing. the front desk guy couldn't read the form we had

we had tried to go to different hotel but full. This one was recommended by another hotel chain. I am so glad they did. It is a new facility. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Not complaints at all to speak of.

I feel it was a little overpriced for a BW just to have a fancy outside and lobby for the basic room at any other BW. Was nice and comfortable just as expected from BW. It was just more of a convenience for the location I needed to be in.

I stay at a lot of Best Westerns and this one is a cut above. It is the coolest, funkiest hotel with a great staff. The lobby is ecletic and fun. The desk clerk has tourist maps and can point out things to see and do. I will make sure to come back!

Hotel opened 7 months ago & it's very nice. Room & common areas were clean. Room was very spacious. Plenty of parking. Front desk was very helpful with dining options. They referred us to Hoffbrau Steak & Grill House & it did not disappoint! For me, the only negative about this hotel is the linens. Sheets are not soft at all & same with washcloths and towels. In fact, the washcloth & towel is a little scratchy.

The property is new. The room is well decorated and comfortable. Around the hotel are good shopping areas and plenty of good restaurants. Everything we needed was within a mile of the hotel. My family liked the hotel and we would stay there again.

After driving 10+ hours through Texas, we stopped in Amarillo. We check 2 other hotels and the rate was too much for too little to offer. We saw the sign for the BW and knew immediately when we walked into the lobby this was the place. Brand new facility. Everything was beautiful. Great night sleep and good breakfast in the morning.

We were driving from Louisiana to Las Vegas to get home. We found this place--brand new hotel. Nice place! It was convenient on & off 40. We got a room away from the road & it was nice & quiet. The bed was comfortable.

Our other hotel overbooked and didn't tell us until almost midnight. We just drove up to see if by chance they had an opening. They had one cancel and it was the last room. The room was very clean and the hotel was very quiet for one that was sold out. The staff was super friendly and dependable.

My wife and I drove to Amarillo for an event (on Sunday) not knowing there had been a big even going on over the weekend so most of the hotels were all sold out so when we arrived to our hotel an hour before check in time we were told it would be another 2 to 3 hours before we could check in because they had no rooms clean. My wife and I needed to change and get showed for our event so now what so we drove over to the best western were they got us a really nice room right away... everyone was so friendly and yes it cost a little more the the original place we were supposed to stay but to be honest it was worth it. We were only there for one day but the pool area and work out room were really nice and we over slept so we missed breakfast but over all our stay wa really great I'm happy we ended up stating there because now I know where I will be staying everytime I go to Amarillo.

After a long day of driving we were looking forward to a good night's sleep. I looked up hotels and found this BW Plus hotel and boy were we pleasantly surprised. In the past, I didn't think highly of Best Western, but, this is obviously a new direction. Everything about the place was fantastic. The exterior, the lighting in the parking lot, the lobby (WOW), the rooms, the bed and pillows were fantastic, huge bathroom. Honestly, couldn't ask for more. So many amenities. The breakfast looked fantastic too. We only stayed one night, but, will definitely look for BW Plus in the future.

Being about 6 months in age as of my visit, the motel still smells new. Very contemporary design. Positives: New HVAC works well (temp control) Large room and bathroom (yet toilet is out in open with sink, shower...if that bothers you) Great breakfast selections, quality, resupply... Parking very good - property is a bit set off remotely so security/ theft may be a concern Elevators so no carrying bags...up the stairs like old, sign out motels Frig and microwave in room Internet free, connection easy and reliable Rate better than an older BW (versus this BWPlus) in East Amarillo (BW Santa Fe) Negatives Noise - I was on second floor but found noise above me (third floor) from other guests to be an issue After a 450 mile road trip, I checked in and lugged numerous belongings to my room only to find the electronic keys did not open door (so I left some belongings and made a second visit to front desk downstairs - frustrating to say the least)

Product naming is important. My stay at the former Best Western Plus in Jackson, WY (The Lodge at Jackson) 8 years ago was great. This is not in the same class as The Lodge at Jackson. I anticipated better service and amenities based on the name.

This is a new hotel. Beautiful inside on out. Room was very clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good. Had a good variety of food available and staff members were very friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel felt new even though it had been open for six months the price was extremely reasonable. Clean room, all the amenities worked like the iron didn't use the WiFi cause phone service worked really well. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a nights stay.

This hotel is conveniently located just a few blocks from the interstate. It is new and fresh--nicely decorated. The rooms are modern and offer all the amenities. There is a complete breakfast. Compared to a lot of hotels along the highway, this one stands out. Service is good, too!

We were extremely satisfied with all aspects of our visit to the BW+ in Amarillo. The recommendation for a dinner venue was excellent. Your breakfast exceeded our expectations. Perhaps the best BW breakfast we have experienced. All in all we were delighted. We have booked the BW+ in Amarillo In June for our return trip to Red River.

This motel was beautiful. Breakfast was awesome. The beds were so comfortable. Ever since the stay I have been noticing all the other best westerns and will choose one again in the future. I recommend this place to everyone.

Hotel was very nice. The staff was very helpful someone at the the desk at all times. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were very spacious and clean. Hotel was very clean and brand new. My family and I only stayed for one night while passing through but would stay again if needed. We weren't disturbed by any outside noises which was nice.

I stayed in the brand new Best Western in Amarillo last night (5/22/2019) and I'm sorry to say when I pulled back the sheets there was a brown stain on the bottom sheet and two of the pillows. I had a room with two beds and the stains on the pillows were from both beds. I had driven all day and was exhausted so I switched beds and pillows so that I would sleep in a clean(?) bed. I called down to the front desk and let the night auditor know and also let the front desk know in the morning and received very little in the way of a response. I took some pictures but can't seem to download them to this site, however I did show them to the woman at the front desk and I will keep them for reference. I wasn't offered another room or even clean sheets and I'm afraid I didn't get much sleep. The hotel is new and stylish but check the sheets if you stay there!

We had originally tried to get in the other Best Western but it was sold out. This hotel was very nice and am glad we stayed here. The hotel is new and only 5 months old. This is the 8th Best Western we have stayed in over the past two months and this was the nicest room by far. It was very spacious, the bathroom was large and we really liked the walk-in shower. This is the first one that had a raised toilet which is definitely a plus. The breakfast was good and Paula at the front desk was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

very new building, even had two Tesla home chargers on the property. Room, BF area, lobby were all excellent. The chargers were incorrectly installed where they only used a regular 110V circuit. It was charging at a rate so slow I'd had to wait more than 24 hours to reach full charge. I mentioned this upon checking out and while driving westward, we got a call from BW admin who told us the reception girl had reported my verbal complaint and he consulted an electrician and acknowledged BW's mistake in the installation, he told me they have ordered to rectify the issue right away to accommodate future guests who drive Teslas. We are impressed with this level of detail in BW's service quality.

Best Western is not my first choice for a hotel chain, but these Best Western PLUS properties are a step above most hotels. Perhaps that is what the "Plus" stands for? This is my third BWP experience and the chain impresses me with their cool décor, spacious rooms, and terrific amenities. PLUS there is a great work out room. PLUS there is a heated, indoor pool PLUS this location is only 5 months old! It still has that "new hotel" smell!

This is a newer hotel and it still has that new hotel feel. We need an ADA room and were very happy with the room. The room was clean and nice. It was completely ADA ready. We will definitely stay here again. The only thing I would recommend is staying in a room on the east side of the hotel. That way you do not have to worry about the afternoon sun heating up the room.

indifferent check in, I am Rewards member and had to remind her, and had requested a downstairs room that at 630 pm when I checked in wasn't ready yet, it took three times for my wife to get through to my room, checking out girl never thanked me or guest ahead of me,and was put off when I asked for a copy. the rooms are great, better than average breakfast and the place is funky cool, and off the freeway, please upgrade your staff, you and us deserve better

This hotel is brand new & I really like the decor. We stayed on the 4th floor & the ceilings were super high. It was the largest room I've stayed in that I can remember. The shampoos, soap, & conditioner were good. They had no problem with us checking out at 12 rather than 11 am. We didn't hear anything from the hallway, such as doors slamming or people messing around. I think it was great!

Super clean, great breakfast, large room, comfortable bed, everything is great, highly recommended. Good location, helpful stuff. A lots restaurants in the area, Westgate mall is closed by. I will come back. Also great value.

We stayed because of the reviews. Thank you Trip Advisor. Location, cleanliness, decor, comfort-it was all great. The bathroom door is also the closet door. The first time I went in, I had to figure out how to get out. There is no handle on the bathroom door from the inside. Other than that, I loved the big bathroom and the way they do the towels. Also loved the comfortable chair in the bedroom. Can't wait to return to Amarillo and stay here again.

Virtually brand new hotel so of course it is in great shape and very clean. But, additionally it has great services, such as guest laundry, fitness center, business center, etc. Most importantly the staff is top notch, very kind and helpful. Breakfast is the usual fare, but it is prepared well and is a great start to the day. They even have Texas shaped waffles.

This Best Western Plus was clean. close to the hospital and shopping areas. Very quiet and was very clean and pleasant. I will stay again. The breakfast had a variety of foods, hot and cold. The bathroom was spotless.

Plus: Everything smells new including the carpet. Easy on/off freeway. Typical free breakfast, waffles, bagels, cereal etc, and it works for us with no complaints. The decor is eco/modern with a huge eating area. Cons: Not within walking distance to any food. The shampoo,conditioner and even the soaps smell like “lemon scent old english” furniture polish. It's labeled Citrus. We have learned in our travels to ask for the room that is quiet. The gentleman behind the counter said he would definitely get us a quiet room. This shouldn't have been a problem being the hotel was far from full. We settled in and a few hours later a family with kids was put right next to us. Running up and down the hallway etc. The walls seem to be very thin because we could even hear the neighbors cell phone vibrating on and off all night. Also just a small note: we are BW Diamond members and this is the first time we were not offered a little goodie bag. Not a big deal to us, but management may want to check into it :) Overall the stay was good except the noise We would stay here again

This is a newly built Best Western. It has a beautiful lobby with extravagant features but they should have focused more on the rooms and personnel. There is very little around this hotel so you have to search for somewhere to eat. Check in was smooth. The room was a decent size but needed to be checked for problems. There were only 2 hangers in the closet, which had a "barn door" that rolled over to close off the bathroom (not completely and there was no lock on the door). They had the usual hang tag about being "green" and reusing towels but there were no towel racks. There was no information book about the area, no television guide, nor tissues. The television was attached to the wall and could not be angled for viewing from the desk. The clock on the side table was not working and the sheets were rough. It took almost 5 minutes to check out as the clerk was away from the desk. When she returned to the lobby, I had to flag her down as she did not look at the desk to see if she was needed. There was also no ramp at the side door so you could roll suitcases or luggage dollies to your car for loading and unloading. For a new hotel, they need to recheck this one.

This place was extravagant. Loved everything about it! The man at the front desk said the hotel was built almost a month ago, and I could tell. Great room, great pillows, and the breakfast was even awesome! I will for sure choose this Best Western every time I or my family stay in Amarillo again. Thank you!

The room was roomy, clean, and comfortable. It has a spacious lobby and a very kind and helpful staff. The breakfast was excellent (real food! - eggs, sausage, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, waffles) - made for a good start for the rest of our trip.
