The beach is lovely, and it's great having your own sunbed so you don't have to fight for one... the area are extremely well-maintained, and the rooms are fine... it is a bit annoying that the restaurant only offers a set menu; we don't always eat a full meal—sometimes we just want a light bite or simply prefer to choose for ourselves—but you can't order à la carte... we walked along the beach for 10 minutes to Restaurant Salisa, which is excellent... however, the walk back is quite dark at night. The hotel is in a very quiet area with no town nearby—you definitely have to drive a bit to get anywhere. To quiet for us,,,,but to much noise saturday night from nabos and a dog bagging offen
A beautiful setting. It has a large pool with canopy loungers. The private beach was clean with lounge chairs assigned for your use. Your dining table was assigned to you. The dinner buffet was done well with a good selection of food. The sea water was clean, clear and warm. You can walk and explore the shoreline. The only downside was you had to drive to explore the surrounding areas. The rooms were comfortable with good pillows. The location of our room was private, the only downside was the barking dogs from the residences that are next to the hotel. We would definitely return, September was a good time to visit. We prefer to go off season to avoid the influx of “tourists”.
Beautiful grounds within the resort. However, the area is extremely isolated and you do need a car to get out and about. There's not much going on at the resort and evening entertainment for adults is poor. The food available is limited and too expensive for what you get. The variety of food is very limited and many options to choose from. Staff are friendly and helpful. Cleanliness is good. Snack options is limited to only toast or crisps. We chose to let resort to have more nourishing food.
For the money it is not 4star hotel.. Parking sucks and tiles missing in pool area... Not food during lunch times...

Everything is well organized - you are provided with a personal table for food and an individual sun lounger by the sea. It is very comfortable when you know that your place is always yours. Very clean sea and clean beach with golden sand; the beach is well equipped; there is a body guard. Very tasty food for dinner. Excellent menu - there are always vegetables, fruits, and fish with seafood. You can also find amazing dishes on the Sicilian menu. The air conditioner was a little noisy at night, but there is very fast internet. The pool was slightly dirtyб but room cleaning was exellent.
very nice facility with an alluring outside space personnel is friendly and helpful food servicing is a good value for money great beach with cristal clear water the shadow area by the bar and pool allows staying for everybody even those not interested to get sun burned
I went to Le Dune this summer for the second year in a row. In both occasions I was with my husband, our two young children, and family friends with young children. It is great for families with young children and for adults of all ages. # Rooms are cleaned very well on a daily basis. # The buffet (breakfast, lunch, dinner) is of nice quality and variety, especially at dinner. # The resort offers a good mix of relaxation and entertainment, with swimming pool, restaurant, gardens and common areas all by the beach. Perfect size and layout for kids who are ready to make friends and play freely among themselves or with the miniclub. # The place is quite isolated, but at reception they will buy whatever you need and provide it within 24h. #Great chance to do one-day trips arranged by the resort and visit places of stunning beauty such as Selinunte or Segesta. #Entertainment is there at the right times of day, with live music and interactive games in the evenings. The singer/ entertainer sings beautifully and keeps people of all ages engaged, without being intrusive or pushy. We look forward to going back!
My pregnant wife and I stayed at the Le Dune Resort from 20-Aug to 27-Aug and we found it to be very disappointing and definitely not a 4 star experience. It was a mix of poor service, lack of professionalism, low food quality and lack of cleanliness. WELCOME: There was no greeting from Francorosso at the airport or at the resort. It was very disorganized and the some of the staff did not even know where our room was located. We had called Francorosso in advance telling them that my wife would be 7 months pregnant at the time of the vacation and if there were any accommodations they could make to make it easier for her. Instead they put us in the room furthest from everything. We complained and they moved us to room 105 in front of the pool, so good that they moved us but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Then when you check-in they also make you pay 10 euros deposit for a crappy old beach towel that is fraying on the edges and you have to keep the same towel for the whole week without it being washed. Every other 4 star resort I've stayed at has a daily towel service by the pool/beach. ROOMS: The rooms are small. You cannot open the wardrobe door fully without it hitting the bed (see photo). On the positive side the bathroom is very large and well appointed, almost as big as the room. However they only provide you with "St.Jane" branded shampoo and no conditioner. Other 4 star resorts provide conditioner to guests, especially at a beach/pool resort. The air conditioner works well but is too noisy to sleep with it on. It constantly makes a noise like a toilet refilling with water after being flushed. We ended up just turning it on only while we were out to get the room cool enough to sleep. Also there was a lack of cleanliness in the bathroom. You can see in the photos that the showerhead is not cleaned and the bath towels, even after being washed, still had stains on them. WI-FI: WiFi does not work at all. I don't know why they advertise as having it when it is impossible to connect. FOOD: We booked the vacation through Francorosso and it was advertised as "Pensione Complete + Bevande" but in reality, only drinks during mealtimes are included. If you want a drink during the afternoon by the pool, you have to pay for it. Also, coffee is not included (only with breakfast). If you want a coffee after your meal as do most Italians, you have to go to the bar and pay for it. Infuriating. The food is pretty much all buffet (only the first dish at dinner is served at the table) and the dishes are out in the open with no glass shields so any insects or items from the guests can fall into them. The meals from the previous night are routinely recycled into the buffet the next day. This is especially disgusting when they refry the fried food and it takes on a lovely radioactive orange colour. Also most of the dishes and cutlery are marked and not well cleaned. One time my wife asked for a spoon and the waiter brought over one with a piece of carrot encrusted on it. He apologized profusely when we pointed it out but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Just a general lack of attentiveness as the waiters also often brought the wrong dish or drink. ENTERTAINMENT: Every night there was a guy singing and playing electric keyboard by the pool until 11:30pm at a very loud volume, even if there were only a few tables of guests directly in front of him. Unfortunately, he didn't have the capability to sing in tune so it was terrible to listen to. We complained a couple of times and they started turning the sound down at 11pm but it was still impossible to relax in your room after dinner with that awful noise. Twice a week they did karaoke so instead of having one person who thought they could sing but couldn't, you had a whole group! Also, the resort is in the middle of nowhere so you have no other options at night to go anywhere else and are stuck with it. SERVICE: The Francorosso local assistant was useless. She didn't bother to spend any time to welcome the guests or see them off at the end of the vacation or do anything for them during the trip. We tried to get her to rent a car for us but there was no communication back from her. She would say that she would call back in 30 mins but never did and then finally the night before we needed the car, some guy calls me saying he has a car for me if we want it. So she basically gave out my phone number without asking or informing me. Luckily we were helped by another guest with some local contacts to find a rental car at half the price that she arranged. BEACH/POOL: The beach and pool area were fortunately very nice. The sea was mostly clean and clear. The beach umbrellas are thatched and some had holes in them so they need a bit of work to be repaired for the next season. They charge 20 euros a day for an umbrella in the first row, so of course the first row was empty. The beach is not quite private as there is public access on both sides with many local tourists with umbrellas there. Overall, I expected a lot more from a 4 star resort, especially for the service and cleanliness and the quality of the food and entertainment.
Dear Guest Thank you for send us your review copy of the previous one. Best Regards
My husband, son & I enjoyed a weeks holiday at Le Dune as we travelled for a friends wedding. We arrived much later than expected due to a delayed flight & a selection of food had been prepared for us in our room. This was a wonderful touch! The grounds & beach front of the hotel are regularly maintained along with the cleanliness of the hotel rooms which are spacious and quiet. We were full board and enjoyed the large variety of food which we didn't find repetitive & the quality was also very good. I would highly recommend this hotel & would definitely return.
