Best Western Atlanta Cumberland/Galleria Hotel

A rat ran across my feet while I was in my bday suit on the toilet. So backstory, I wanted a little staycation for the night. It was late and I was tired. Best Western was my goto. They have always been seemingly clean. I guess that was all just visually. I woke up in the am and I went to the restroom in the dark. As I was using, something furry and warm ran across my feet. I turn the lights on and IT WAS A RAT! I immediately sprang up and call front desk. She offered to switch rooms i said no I would leave. Rats touching me unwillingly is unacceptable. When I went to front desk to ask for a refund she immediately became rude and defensive. I only wanted a refund because I paid over $130 for 8 hrs of alone time…. Not with rodents! She said she couldn't do it and the manager would contact me the following morning with his decision.. It took over 24hrs for them to contact me and then had the audacity to offer only half of the refund. And imply that it wasn't true. (MIND YOU I HAVE PICTURES) I beg your finest pardon!!!! I said unacceptable after a rodent ran across my foot… she huffed her breath said fine and then offered %100 back. Note she is the one who told me she couldn't process my refund initially but is also the person who processed my refund. Its been days and It's has been an awful experience.

The Rooms (we booked 2 rooms) smelled terrible and we had to lift the door to close it. The Elevator was dirty and never got cleaned the 3 days we stayed there. The Breakfast was terrible too. Nobody cared to fill up and clean the Breakfast Room.

I am absolutely grateful for this hotel. Perfect pricing and absolutely a great value. The quality was absolutely outstanding. Safe , well lit, and courteous staff. Most of all, clean!! Virtual/text chats were helpful and informative. I'm absolutely grateful a hotel like this exists in this economy. People who need a safe clean place that do not necessarily have the means to pay for luxury hotels can definitely expect to get all of the above here.

Bed was clean and comfortable. Definitely go again. No microwave but everything was great. Stayed here for a braves game. Lyft ride was $14 to stadium. Water was hot and towels clean. Didn't try the breakfast. Laquinta down the road wanted $150 and $175 deposit. No deposit here.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western ATL Cumberland. They hosted our Engagement Party and the staff was professional and accommodating. The rooms was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend having events there, would love to do again.

This was one of the cleanest hotels in Atlanta. They have friendly service, its quiet, and has comfortable beds. The breakfast was delicious on Friday morning. I had to stay longer periods of time and even though I was looking in another area, I kept coming back to this hotel. I loved it!

I spontaneously took my son to an Atlanta Braves game on July 4th weekend. As I was searching for places to stay, I came across this hotel. I did not want to stay in downtown Atlanta, and I did not want to stay near the stadium. The location of this hotel was perfect. We found a place to eat, Stockyards in a nice little area of town. The staff at this hotel was exceptional. We arrived from Florida 2 hours before check in time, so I proceeded to inquire if I could still check in, even though I knew I was early. They allowed us to check in, and we did not get charged. The facility, rooms, bathrooms all were exceptionally clean. The beds are perfectly comfortable, especially after being at a game for hours. I'll be coming back for sure.

Great hotel. Very attentive to my needs. Clean, friendly, and overall a good location. The only reason I gave it a 4 star review, and not a 5 star, is the hotel almost ALWAYS smelled like marijuana, up and down the hallways. Overall, we were very happy with our stay....⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The hallways reeked of cigarette smoke and pot. The back door which was supposed to be opened by a room key card was left unlocked the entire time (unsecure). The room was clean enough but could have been better. Bathroom had an almost empty roll of toilet paper and NO extra rolls in the bathroom. The bed was tolerable. The elevator doors actually slammed when they opened which made it sound like it was going to break down! The whole area surrounding the hotel did not look safe. I would not stay here again.

The staff we interacted with were friendly. The room was very clean and the beds had tons of pillows which I love. Breakfast was adequate; eggs and bacon warm, waffle maker worked well, only the juice machine not working. Hotel was located in a safe looking area and short drive from Braves stadium area. We didn't use the pool but we could see it from our window, it was a really good size and looked very clean.

When the representative called me to take my credit card #, he entered the incorrect amount ($1,990.00) causing my credit card company to call me. Your representative did not even call to let me know he made a mistake. When I went to check in, there was no one at the desk. I had to wait approximately 30 mins for him to come and check me in. The hot water didn't work and the toilet seat was broke!!! Your representative then told me he would just cancel my reservation & I could go elsewhere. He was extremely rude and lacked customer service skills!

TV didn't work and the phone was broke. Then in morning the elevator broke...we where on 5th floor. Breakfast was awful..eggs were cold, the fruit cups warm. Coffee pot was broke. The only thing good about staying here was the comfortable bed. Would not stay here again!!!!

Nice place clean room service daily simple breakfast coffee and tea all night free parking.. only thing is the carpet give off a slight old stale smell .. spray sum free-breeze an u good to go. Staffs all really nice and helpful and a reasonable price to stay. I will deff stay again.

This is a great hotel with excellent customer service. I live in NC, but some to Atlanta for work. I usually work night shift. This hotel always has soft pillows and a quiet room with an extra late checkout for me. And the prices are reasonable.

Gave them another chance and still—there are dusty, dirty bathrooms (dirt gathered on floors on and beside toilet, furniture in bathroom dusty and never wiped, toilet flush button has a thick black dirt ring around it where the cleaners wiped over it with cleaner instead of actually removing the buildup and the same is for the floors beside the toilets, the faucets and sinks are crusty and also have dirt buildup, and the bathtubs are crusty). Not a place I would want myself or my children bathing or sleeping in. Not to mention their lazy cleaners. I will never stay there again, and I do not recommend if you're anything like me—very anal about cleanliness and dirt buildup, especially in bathrooms, and especially when you've seen spotless bathrooms elsewhere. There is no excuse for this besides the owner/cleaners not GAS about how their establishment looks. What also irked me was the fact that they use cleaning products that tear up the finish on their faucets and other things in the bathrooms which adds to the dirtiness. I should have turned around once seeing how it looks inside the elevator but didn't because of the deal I received. The beds are okay, I have no issue there but I do wish I'd purchased a black light since the bathrooms are so gross, it makes me think they are also not changing and sanitizing their bedding or any other furniture in the rooms. Please—if you're anal about things like this, do not stay here, you will not be happy. The “free” Wi-Fi also disconnects the tv and any other electronics you may be using every ten minutes, prompting you to have to re-enter their password EVERY SINGLE TIME. Another thing I do not have the patience for, especially when working from home and everything I'm working on keeps being reloaded. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE hotel and when you voice your concerns, you're met with grinning sarcasm as if all the horrible issues are to be expected and ignored. Never again.

Mr. Green/Greene (GM) along with staff have been phenomenal during my duration of stay. I enjoy the politeness and genuine kindness that they have showed me. They made my birthday which is today better than it started. I look forward to staying with them in the future. Everyone always make my stay better each time. I am very humble and highly appreciative for them. Excellent ratings across the way!! Thank you!
