Incredibly disappointed. The rooms were dirty to the point that I am calling the health department. And then I'm being charged an additional $100 cleaning fee for the towels that were dirty from cleaning the room myself.

Very clean staff is friendly and helpful stayed here 4 times no issues can say enough about how clean it is hot breakfast items with in walking distance to 4 restaurants rooms are well kept one of the best hotels in the area

Staff is the best! I've been traveling for business to the Schererville area now for the past year or so and have made this hotel my go to place to stay while in the area. I've stayed at other area hotels but this Best Western beats them all with location and staff friendliness.

We stayed 1 night for a rate of $97 for 2 queen room. Front desk was very easy and friendly. The room was spacious. We were only in the room for less than 12 hours. Slept and showered. The beds were uncomfortable. Mattress on a platform. There is nothing special about this stay. If the beds were better, we would stay again.

The bed was so uncomfortable, not the usual Best Western experience. The beds are metal platform beds with just a top mattress. I'm sure that helps with reduction of pests & cleanliness, but not for comfort. The vending machine was out on my floor & the one on the first floor looked like the drinks have been left in there since last year. Not very appealing. You may want to note there are no elevators. Even though its only 2 stories, if you have a disability, you may want to verify there is an available room on the first floor. Fortunately, I was only staying a few nights & had a small bag to lug around. Staff was friendly.

Clean, sort of friendly staff. Refrigerator was broken , microwave did not work, phone not working, tv remote was broken. Eventually the TV remote was replaced. Other items remained not functional during the stay of three days. They just acknowledged they were broken but no effort given to fix. Room transfer was not granted. Frustrating stay.

I arrived a day after being flight delayed in Las Vegas from my arrival time and was charged for a 6 days vs. 5 days. I wanted a print out of my stay and was not given only to go back to Expedia for a printout.

The photo says it all. Checked in yesterday.No elevator. . Room was dirty, despite us asking that they go back snd clean thd floor. They didn't despite telling us they would. So we did. Here is the result. Never again. Sleeping in the car would be better.

One of the worst hotels. We had yo stay here for last moment booking for swim meet and we did not find another room. $525 for 2 nights. Extremely dirty and looks like 200 years old. Cheap owner with horrible breakfast that we did not touch. It seems it us owned by a family and all the Staff are not familiar with the basics of hotel business and etiquette. Run away.

THIS Best Western was awful. Feet very dirty from walking on floor, blow dryer didn't work, no elevator for upper floor, no healthy options at breakfast. Error on booking room causing me to use my personal CC for business travel.

Our room was updated and nice looking. Not sure what cleaning products were used but the floor felt tacky and the TV remote was sticky. I even used a couple wet wipes to clean the remote and it was still sticky. The breakfast area and sitting area looked nice. Hot and cold breakfast was meh. Was surprised to see the housekeeper still cleaning rooms at 9 pm.

Rooms was little out dated but clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Lobby was clean and quiet. Beds are clean and very comfortable. Location was good and breakfast was great. A lot of parking spaces and clean. I really like this location.

This hotel was newer, clean and convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located very conveniently to many restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay here again!!! Thank you best western.

This is best hotel in Schererville as far as I concern management, service and also the breakfast food is the best ever severed in couple of hotel I stayed in. Best best best . I will definitely be back.

Rooms were clean and fresh. Mariam GM at front desk SUPER NICE and helpful... Good conversation and attentive. . This hotel has some old fashioned details to it that make it look beautiful and it was a great place to stay.

If you want to stay where you will feel truly comfortable, this is the place. The Staff here is really amazing and always friendly. I stay here regularly so it's not just a lucky visit! Five Stars to the Staff.

The room was very clean. The beds were made and the bed sets were all white. They have a tv, microwave, mini fridge, and hairdryer. Those are very appreciated with children. They also had a coffee pot and iron in the room. I would definitely stay here again and tell others how nice it was.

My stay here was excellent. It was affordable and clean! The staff was very polite to me as well. I needed a few days to stay due to work and this was the perfect location. I was satisfied with my stay and I'd highly recommend it.

This hotel was the crustiest hotel I've ever stayed in by far!! The carpets look like they have not been cleaned in 10 years, the room smelled funky & the sheets had hair amongst other things on them! My friend and I felt so uncomfortable, not to mention i'm pretty positive this is a hotel where people bring hookers/prositutes…we heard our neighbors having sex and also a woman screaming down the hall from what sounded like sex. The front desk lady who checked us in was rude & asked for my car information for some reason, and also took a photo copy of my ID which is very odd to me…You're better off paying however much more to stay at the Hampton across the street or literally any other hotel.

Very clean room. we got an upgrade to a king suite with a really nice sitting area. The lobby was very clean and sitting area was very comfortable. Very nice front desk staff, the housekeeper was very helpful. Full range of excellent restaurants nearby and a lot of shopping store. I would definitely stay here again.

They made a paper copy of my Driver's License and was kept at the front desk which was NOT a secure location. I am very concerned about the safety and security of my personal information. The hotel was doing renovations and updating and the doors were propped open and people and workers were coming and going without any restrictions.

I needed a place to stay in between Chicago and Indiana while visiting for the Holiday. I found this affordable gem in a convenient location. The Owners were very hands on, attentive and friendly. The room was modern, neat and the breakfast was a mix of hot and cold items. Staff is up early and attentive to send you off for the day,.

The hotel was so dirty our shoes literally stuck to the floor! The bathroom was dirty, the walls were stained and chipped with the drywall screws showing, the curtains were ripped and even the outside was dirty and unkempt! It was the loudest hotel, too. We heard every door that opened and closed and even our neighbors enjoying their adult time together. NOT a good night's sleep. The pool that was advertised on the website was closed, which in hindsight was probably a good thing because I am sure it would have been filthy as well. There were not many choices for breakfast and the eggs and sausage were cold. The juice machine was broken so the only drink option was coffee (which we do not drink), Do not take a chance on this hotel!

We drove up 41 Highway headed to Chicago and were looking for somewhere inexpensive to spend the night before heading into the city. Because the price was right, I was expecting some things to be less than ideal, but everything about our experience was great!

I entered the property with my family after a long days drive, got checked in, family went to the room while I finished up the check-in. When I got up there, my wife told me the toilet did not flush, went down to tell the property and they went up to see the issue and banged a bit on the bowl. They offered to fix it right away, but I tried telling them we needed to leave right after a quick shower. They apparently did not understand and almost barged through the door during my bath, but only got met by my wifes dissapointed/angry face and left again. I clearly told them to fix it, AFTER we went out! So, right after my shower I hear some guys in the hallway yelling loud at eachother, clearly very angry... apparently the hotel is under construction (which is propably also why I wasn't offered a different room, and I even asked for it) After this mishap I went down to tell the staff that the hotel did not really live up to my expectations and also asked if the pool was open, which it of course was not, and since I promised my teens a pool on their last days of our roadtrip, it tipped the scale and I asked my family to take their bags and leave the hotel and put everything back in the car, since we were in a hurry to meet up with friends. I asked the hotel for a total refund, given that the hotel was under reconstruction, very dirty, strange smelling, non working toilet, angry construction workers, non compliying staff and NO POOL. They rejected and held their ground, stating that now that I had used the room (for 20 minutes, one towel and some shampoo), they would need to charge me for one night. A total of 25 minutes in that hotel and 161 $ poorer, never again am I setting a foot in that hotel! Only thing they said after I asked if this was what they would call American Hospitality, was; Sorry Sir, there is nothing we can do! (I could list a couple of things) I highly recommend going across the street to Hamptons Inn & Suites Schereville instead, nice staff and no BS. I booked through Booking.com and they were not able to help, even after contacting the hotel several times. So, here you go Best Western, here is what I promised you... a review on all the biggest platforms!

The place was not clean and the walls were so gross. Never will be coming back to a this best western again. They say they have an 8/10 on trip advisor, I wouldn't even give them a 2. And the carpet is gross and black in some areas that are not even clean, stains on the sheets, and rooms stink, the locks on the doors look like they have been well used and have been broken into before. Never will be coming back.

They are remodeling and my room was terrible. Carpets stained everywhere, staff not welcoming . I made my reservation 7 days ahead and was given a room that was not worthy of Best Western, I could have gone to a flea bag hotel and gotten the same for half price!

As a business traveler I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past 23 years. Condition of the hotel has been degrading rapidly in the past few years to the point I will no longer be staying there. Room was dirty. Room was obviously a previous smoking room, and it stank like cigarettes. Cigarette burns in the furniture and bedding. Mirror and TV looked like they were wiped down with a dirty wet rag and not dried. There was a piece of French fry on the floor under foot of bed as well as other food and garbage debris on the floor, obviously not vacuumed. Carpet Stained as well. Bathroom floor was dirty, especially at the corners, obviously not vacuumed or mopped. Several long black hairs on the bathroom floor and tub. Food debris in the coffee maker tray, and coffee maker was full of water. Is understandable that a hotel becomes outdated over time, but there is no excuse for room to be dirty. I also stayed here 1 month earlier, that room was a bit cleaner, but still not to BW standards, an there was damage to the walls in that room that were patched and not painted. I will be surprised if this hotel manages to hold onto the Best Western name for the remainder of the year. Stay at the Hampton Inn instead of BW.

The walkway/ parking wasn't salted. My noise complaints weren't taken seriously. People talking loud asf at 2 in the morning is a personal problem hotel staff still can speak against it. Couldn't even fall asleep.

i will never stay at this hotel again. I have stayed at many best westerns in my life. this one by far was the worst. ceilings were falling in, vending machines were not working, no elevator (should have been posted on the website at booking). looked dirty and room smelled like something was burning or getting too hot.

I do not reccomend this Inn for safety and cleanliness reasons. First impression is stained linens, curtains and carpet. Looked like vomit spray and other bodily fluids. Second night, fireworks were set off outside the front entrance next to my rental car. Front desk clerk was outside with the large assortment of fireworks and no one answered the call to the operator. But you get what you pay for. Cheap rates, enticing member loyalty rewards and proximity to family lived me here.

The staff was very helpful the are very dated and need up grades. They have a serious roach problem and it needs attention. They stated the roaches come out when it's hot outside. Spider webs where in the corners of the wall and dust on the furniture.

The absolute worst place I have ever stayed. Hotel was not our choice to begin with. Arrived had dirty sheets, promptly replaced so I felt better. Smallest bottles of shampoo etc. Room very outdated furniture looks like it's been recycled through a few hotels. Beds are aweful! Went to desk for extra shampoo… they said someone would bring some. My son and grandpa (85 years old) got tired of waiting so they went to breakfast while I stayed in bed. The housekeeper also assume part owner just walked in the door upon delivery… as I'm in bed. I let it go… didn't say a word. Just thanked them for the shampoo (1 tiny bottle for 3 people here two nights) . I'm awoken by what appears as the AC going out…. But literally sounded like a semi was starting up right outside the window or even a freight train. Seriously out of control. I tried to call the front desk … no answer. I get out of bed go down to desk… no one there as has been our experience. I ring the bell and believe I woke the gentleman up. I asked you don't answer your phones? He said mam they are off at night…!? What!? I proceed to tell him my experience with AC … he says he doubts it's that bad and there's nothing he can do. Did not offer to listen to or try to offer repair . Just said there's nothing he could do. But also in a very upset weigh basically offered me to pack my bags and leave and he would 100% my room. I'm traveling with a kid who just played 3 hockey games, we traveled into city and caught a Blackhawks game. Got in late and have a 4 hour drive in the morning and lose an hour. Last thing we want to do is pack up and leave your hotel at what's now 2:30am…..and not know where to go. Hotel is independently owned not sure how it's still flagged… a knights inn would probably be better . Customer service also poor. Don't stay here

The rooms were dirty, worn out mattresses, had a hard time getting the a/c to work correctly. Just a bad experience. I would tell anyone traveling in that area of the country to stay far away from this hotel

Mattress was worn out & lumpy. Tub shower washcloth rod was broken, rather than fix, the hole had duct tape on it & end of the broken rod was exposed. Bathroom light/fan cover was missing. Furniture finish was worn & stained. Hallway carpet was stained and there were major cobwebs on the hallway light. Exterior door was difficult to get latched. Will not stay at property again.

Because the entire town did not have a room available, we ended up at this hotel. The regular rate is $78. We paid $170 because of supply and demand. This was the dirtiest hotel I have ever been in, including other countries. The carpeting which was decades old, had probably never been cleaned. The walls in the room were filthy. The beds were rumpled. The pillows were throw pillows covered by pillowcases. We immediately checked for bed bugs and were happy not to find any. We decided to have a cold beer but there wasn't an opener to be found. When I went to the front desk to ask for one, she handed me a broken one and told me to return it when finished???? We did not get much sleep. It was just horrible. The next day, probably because of lack of sleep, we decided to check out the breakfast. UGH. The coffee was BAD. We nibbled but everything tasted like it came out of the freezer, years ago being frozen. PLEASE DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY BY STAYING HERE. There are so many nicer hotels in this area at the same price.

Needs to be updated. Smells like cigarettes. Bathroom also had a strange odor. Staff was friendly. Back door to the hotel was often left partially open. People would hang out outside smoking. It was quiet at night and the pool was small but clean. Not a good value for your money.

We enjoyed swimming, making waffles, and cold ac. I would recommend this hotel if you are staying anywhere near Indiana dunes. It was very easy to check in and check out. I will definitely remember this hotel for my next stay!

Internet didn't work. Front desk would only say....I don't know what could be wrong offered nothing for the inconvenience. The room absolutely stunk! The room was dirty! 2 of the pillowcases were dirty!!!

She wanted to negotiate the rate. I wanted the online rate. And also the problem with getting the $20 discount from the gift card from best western rewards. This is unnecessary stress and I will not be dealing with Best Western anymore. I would rather pay more somewhere else with NO stress. The guy in line ahead of me also had a problem as he also couldn't get the stated rate. People shouldn't be treated like this. The best western gift card (really just a number to use) should be able to be entered online when making the reservation but you can't. What an unnecessary hassle.

The room had a terrible odor not sure if it was the ac or just a bad smell. The shower made a awful noise. The hose leaked the whole time it was on. When asked to change rooms they wanted to charge us again for another room.

My daughter and I spent a Friday night at this hotel. First, we had a hard time finding it in the dark in a town we didn't know. It doesn't sit right on the main road. There is a little off-road you must go down, but it is hard to see in the dark. Second, there is no elevator. We were on the second floor but after a long day of driving, it was annoying not to have an elevator. The room was fine except for the very small pillows. They were not even standard size. Then at 2am a party next door woke us up. I was afraid to say anything because of any retaliation and it being just my daughter and I. The walls are way too thin. There was no breakfast in the morning as promised, and overall just an unpleasant experience. Neither she nor I felt safe or taken care of. Thankfully we were only there for one night.

The staff was friendly. I had laundry to do . Washer was working but told me dryer did not work. They dried my laundry in the hotel dryer for me. Decore in room was older and dated. Like Red Roof inn furniture. But it was comfortable.

Close to work place Nice to have warm breakfast options. Staff was attentive to needs and problems and went over and above. Good value compared to other area hotels. Just an FYI this is a two story hotel with no elevator. Didn't matter to me, but know that staff was more than happy to assist if you require help... Ask for first floor room if stairs are a problem for you.

We have stayed in a number of hotels in the area over the past several years. We have stayed here a number of times. It is close to our family and an excellent value for the money spent. We have never had a problem with the room or staff.

Good value, clean, quiet. Beds comfortable. Great hot breakfast with lots of choices. Only issue for some would be no elevator, but it is only a 2 floor hotel, so not a big deal. Very convenient to main highways.

The hotel was extremely clean. Customer service was amazing. The fitness center was clean and machine's operational. We were offered express check out, which went extremely well. Our room was well stocked with towels, shampoo and soap. Breakfast was delicious. It included egg patties, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy and waffles. It was plenty of other options I just named a few. All together this was a great experience..

The motel has free parking. The door to the lobby is automatic and wide which would be convenient for someone in a wheelchair. The desk clerk was friendly and efficient. The rooms have inside entries. The room was well laid out and had free Wi-Fi. I got a good night's sleep and received my requested wake up call. There was a free breakfast and my check out went smoothly.

The hotel is conveniently located to most businesses and restaurants. Staff are very friendly and professional. Rooms are clean and quiet . Breakfasts are hot and ready and plenty of choices are offered.

I grew up in this area but moved away 16 years ago. I came back for an Anniversary party. I wasn't sure where to stay. I made this reservation because several other people going to the party were staying here. I am not disappointed.

Very friendly and efficient hotel. One of my favorite hotels in the area. Located near plenty of options for food and shopping. Cost efficient and excellent for the cost. Located away from main road and quiet.

Very friendly Staff - Dirty carpets and found someone else's hair in room beds average but not bad, needs a renovation, I would only come back if everything else in the area is booked - if I knew they changed out carpet and cleaning practices might consider coming back. The room smelled musty, the carpet was damp during our entire stay. Our clothes and bags will all need to be washed, the odor penetrated everything. Our door keys worked intermittently. The shower didn't drain, you had to stand in your own dirty water. The pool area was nice and clean, the staff were friendly, but didn't speak English. The breakfast was good, they offer plenty of choices. We chose not to seek out a a different hotel upon arrival we had already unloaded everything, it was late and we were tired of driving. Due to family commitments and a busy schedule it was easier to stay put for the 2 nights. I would not recommend this particular location, it's needs a lot of work. My kids called it “Worst Western”. We typically stay at Drury Hotels I can deal with old decor and outdated furniture, but I shouldn't smell like “the room” on my way back home. We paid $350 for 2 nights. I won't ever stay at a BW again.

Too often people review hotels relative to other hotels not in the same weight class. I see this happen often with these older, quasi-urban hotels. If you have appropriate expectations, and are not expecting to stay in a brand new hotel - this place is fine. Simply put, it is what it is. First the not so good: As others have said before - the window situation is a bit tenuous. On the ground floor of a hotel that backs up to a wooded area, there really should be a better locking system on the windows. In my case, the window could not be locked, but there was a piece of wood to act as a sliding lock. So - the window could, in theory, be opened about 4 inches, but then no further. From a security-standpoint, I guess that's fine. From a peace-of-mind standpoint, I'd much rather just have a sealed window, or a metal lock that actually worked. The room was clean - but old. And really, no matter how much you try to clean furniture, and shower knobs, and trim that is very old and worn out, they will never really look super clean. Obviously the review here is to stay that the hotel needs a refresh, but no kidding. What is really important to remember is that if you are expecting to walk into a Holiday Inn Express that is under 5 years old - this ain't that. It (seemed) clean, but I could see how people might feel differently. The room smelled, again, fine. They must use some sort of air freshener when they clean or something, which is a good idea probably, but it just smells like they are trying to cover up something like cigarette smoke. I'm not saying they were, but the stuff they use just has that cheap, old hotel room smell that I remember from staying in roadside (smoking) motels as a kid. The A/C kept the room cool, but did not seem to dehumidify at all, which was a bit strange considering how A/C works... I noticed that the room felt humid when I walked in, and when I woke up, the pillows I wasn't use just a bit the tiniest bit damp. Not wet, just a bit damp. Obviously this has some mold and mildew implications - but I didn't really see any of that around. There is no elevator in this hotel - so if you can't climb steps, make sure to request a ground floor room. Lastly - the bed had white sheets, a colored slipcover thing over the end, but then a brown, fuzzy blanket in between the white comforter and white sheets. I'll be honest, when I'm in a hotel room that I "sorta" trust, I'd rather just have everything be white. They are white for a reason - so that I know that they are clean. Probably just need to get rid of that blanket. Now the good: As others have said, the staff was very friendly. I did not have much interaction with them, and did not have to resolve any conflicts, but my interactions were positive and friendly when I talked with them. The location was good - kind of a geographical oddity, 30 minutes to everywhere, and was not right next to an interstate or major highway like many other hotels in the area. If you have issues sleeping with noise, especially road noise, this hotel was very quiet during my stay. The bed was comfortable, no complaints there. The pillows were good, and not too overly large that you felt like you were putting another mattress under your head, but not flat, either. All in all, I paid just over $70 for this hotel before taxes, which is above the truly suspect hotels in the area, but below the newer hotels in this class. It really seems to be a bit of a compromise, and honestly I'd stay there again to save a few bucks. I'm not so sure about bringing the family, but just me traveling - I don't see why not.

Very bad and completely unacceptable. Rooms are filthy, hallways are not clean, security doors do not function properly, water pressure too low, refrigerator didn't work. Very low standards here and completely unacceptable for any hotel.

My family was visiting for a wedding and we were lucky to find such a nice place short notice with great amenities and the location was perfect, close to everything; The service staff was wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This Best Western was far below the Best Western Standard. The location was good with plenty of restaurants nearby, however the condition of the property wasn't pretty or clean. The hallway carpets were very dirty and my room carpet was disgusting, I didn't take off my shoes after entering my room. The room also smelled of smoke and the front desk didn't have any air freshener for me to use to try to make my stay more pleasant. All the employees were nice and friendly but I don't want to stay here again..

Dirty and smelly room. Shower was difficult to operate. There was a moth and ant. There was a black curly hair in the “clean” shower before use. There was multiple stains on the bed skirt and floor. The only good thing is there were no bed bugs that I could find.

Convenient location near the swim meet venue. The hotel has seen better days and needs a serious upgrade. However the staff were all amazing from the woman who checked us in, to both night managers, and the custodial staff who brought us fresh towels because they couldn't clean our room because we were napping. You have wonderful employees who make the shabbiness of the facility something I can ignore.

Needs a major upgrade asap. Furniture is old and worn and was at least 20 years old. The rooms also had a bad odor.. I also had flooding in my room as well. I was shocked to see how bad Best Western had become yet they still charge a premium price

Check windows to make sure they are locked as part of building has no street view and windows are like sliding glass doors with no screen. I checked the window as soon as we got into our room, it was unlocked. Window was easy to lock just scary to think if we didnt check. Great breakfast great customer service, rooms clean water hot.

I've stayed with my family. It was good stay. Nice place with good guest service . All employees are really good . Nice and clean property. Room was also clean at the time of check in. We were in town for wedding. I would definitely stay here again.

I've stayed here for 10 days. I didn't have any bed experience. Everything is good. Fitness center is good , breakfast is good all employees are good and ready to greet with smile . This place is surrou5 by lot of food place. That's good thing if you are looking something to stay for long.

I want to start with describing their breakfast. Nice waffle , I like all coffee creamer they have it. Variety of cereal and other hot stuff like sausage gravy, sausage link and biscuit . Front desk staff was good too. I've enjoyed my short stay here.

That was last minute booking for us. We didn't know that there is place off the road , they have small sign on the road. They have nice breakfast , big room with comfortable beds . We had nice stay. I would go back

I'm not a fan of Best Western hotels, the quality and breakfast options vary greatly, so staying here was a last ditch, holiday travel left us with no other options. That said, we were pleasantly surprised at this BW. Place was clean, rooms and beds comfortable, but the topper was the breakfast. At the few other BW's I've stayed at “continental” means cold cereal and packaged pastries, not so here. Breakfast included waffles, biscuits with sausage gravy, sausage patties, and egg rounds (along with the regular continental items). Yes, I would stay at this BW again, if only others were this nice.

I stay here all time whenever i am in this area . This is favorite place for my kids . All employees are always nice and i feel like I'm staying at my home . They are always ready to help. I would definitely recommend this place to stay

Nice place to stay. I've stayed with my family and I would definitely stay here again. Convenient food places Walmart and wallgreen is just stepped away. They have nice hot breakfast and the let us checked in early without any extra charge

I travel a lot during whole year and stay a lot of different place. It's nice place to stay with really good hot breakfast . They prepared breakfast earlier then their time because we wanted to leave early. All employee are nice and always ready to help. Good location surrounded by lot of food places. This place is the place i will definitely go back again if i will be in this area again.

Upon check in, we were greeted with a handwritten "I'll Be Right Back" sign. We then waited in the lobby for more than ten minutes before someone finally appeared and allowed us to check in. There are no elevators, and the stairwell light is broken, making the stairs dark and a bit dangerous after dark. We noted the darkness to staff and were told that they had known about it for a while, but there was no indication as to when it might be fixed. The room was comfortable and large, and the view of the wall we had out the window was amazing - so majestic and inspiring. We were only there for a night, so we weren't expecting 5* accommodations, but for the price we paid, the service and maintenance was very disappointing. In the future, we'll go back to one of the "H" Inns in town, where we've stayed in the past.

My stay was nice at this place . Everything was good . All employees were helpful. In short it was a good stay as compared to price paid. I would definitely recommend this place to stay. I would definitely go here again whenever I will be in this area again

I've stayed in room with jacuzzi and a bigger tv . That was a nice experience for me n my girlfriend but I would definitely recommend this room for couple , not for family. We had a breakfast that was good . Nice stay. Whenever I am in this area I will surely go to this hotel

This is place is hiding behind MacDonald on 41. so if you are going there make sure you don't miss that. Other then that nice place to stay with good breakfast. I like bed and pillows they have it. Stayed here for so long and i would definitely go back to this place

Good thing i like about this property is not located on road. No traffic disturbance at all. Good and comfy bed of course . I had a good sleep over all . i would definitely stay here again . i forgot name of front desk person but they were nice and friendly.

I've stayed here for my work . I would definitely recommend this place for long stay. All employees are really good. House keeping people are good . Manager and front desk manager is always ready to help you out. I would definitely go here again.

We had booked a room with a jetted tub since we were going to be traveling for hours and thought it might feel good after hours in a car. However, nowhere was it advertised that your bathroom would have access to your bedroom with nothing but a shower curtain to separate the two areas. This was disgusting. Please see the attached picture and make your own judgements.

My hotel restroom was not clean!! The shower had other people hair in it. (That was so nasty) The softer had big stains on it. They did not have a comfortable on the bed. I call the front desk to see about getting some more cover, the front desk said they was out. The back door to the outside was unlock all night to gain entry for anyone off the street to come in and out. No full breakfast. Breakfast wasn't the best and cold. The orange juice was water down. No elevator in the hotel!!! Had to take luggage up the stairs. Do not see myself going back to this hotel but I was visiting to attend a funeral so it was a short noticed and all the other hotels in the area was booked.

It was a nice enough place to stay overnight for a wedding we were travelling to. We were a bit disappointed in the pool. We booked a hotel with a pool specifically and it was only 4ft deep, the liner was separating from the pool in many spots. Breakfast was goid for the most part. Bisquits and egg patties were dry but the diy waffles were very good as well as some of the other food. We had to leave oor rooms around 8:30pm because the fire alarm was going off. Supposedly someone had smoked in their room. It took a bit to figure this out as guests stood around and the clerk at the desk was on the phone resolving it but speaking in a foreign language so no guests knew what was going on. Overall our stay was still nice, the things above were minor issues to us.

There was a last moment booking for me . I would definitely go again. Nice hidden place to stay. More chancese to get a last moment room. This place is just behiend MacDonald. Front desk employees are good ans help me to get a direction., I wanted to go

We are seniors and stayed one night to attend a wedding reception. Staff was very personable, especially Carmin. After we checked in, an employee knocked on our door to see if there was anything else we needed. Nice touch. Beds were comfortable. Was a nice breakfast selection. Be aware that it is tucked in off 41. If traveling south on 41, it is easy to miss. Also note that it is a two story motel with no elevator. We would stay here again.

There was nice stay, good place with nice breakfast. I would definitely go here again. Different breakfast option everyday. I went for work and i would definitely recommend to people. They are putting nice efforts to please their guest. Thanks Best western.

I recently stayed at this hotel mid-May of 2018. The hotel itself was hard to find, as there was only a tiny sign off the main road. I drove by the entrance/road twice before finally getting there (I'm from out of state). The hotel inside was nice. It had a small entry area/breakfast area. The front desk staff was very nice every time I approached them. The night I checked in, the hallway smelled heavily like marijuana. I had to buy an air freshener for my room to rid of the smell. (That disappeared by the third night, thankfully.) My room was very nice and very big. I had a king bed, with a sofa, and there was still a lot of room. The TV was a little weird to operate (channel-wise). The walls were also thing, as I could hear my next door neighbor snoring each night. There also was no elevator, which sucked for being on the second floor and having 2 suitcases and a few bags. Overall, it was a very nice stay for me.

Great price for the place we stayed central location easy access to highway for Chicago trip and things were close by for food and drink. Nice little hibachi grill right out front walked to it and enjoyed a great meal. Brought left overs back and put in the fridge. Recommend if you're looking for an affordable place in the area with great access to surrounding entertainment.

Good and Clean, Staff friendly and caring. Only thing I didn't like was plastic toilet seats. Could use better signs to identify hotel entrance on main road. Passed it twice. Other then that good place and I would go there again.

The room was very clean, and the bed comfortable. Internet worked well. Very basic amenities. The breakfast bar was pretty standard fare ,but the egg patties were disgusting. Felt like I was at McDonalds. For the price I paid I expected more.

The staff is rude. The room had dirt and chunks of stuff on the heater unit, and there was HAIR in the shower! The room is outdated, stunk like sweat and old people, and it is VERY overpriced. Breakfast was substandard and the icing on the cake...no elevator! So pack light!!

Best Western Crossroads in Schererville, IN, is conveniently located at the junction of US 30 and US 41, approximately 6 1/2 miles south of I-80:I-94 and 7 miles West of I-65. Rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced for the weary business traveler. The staff are extremely pleasant and personable. I would recommend this hotel for any length of stay. One drawback if truck with trailer parking is limited.

The room was musty smelling, the jacuzzi tub knobs were not all intact. Vending machine area was upstairs in a unlit dark corner with no selection who knows when it was last tended to or if machine worked. You could feel the springs in the mattress so it was very uncomfortable

Staff were great! Breakfast was good. I stayed with four little children who love to make messes and they vacuumed up all the crumbs for me the first day so we didn't have to walk on all the crumbs. They were so nice. Room was non smoking but smelled like smoke

Stayed many times here over the years off and on, but it has gone down with new ownership. Poor cleanliness in the rooms. Cut back on the number of towels provided. Problems with WiFi connections. Breakfast was worse than before. Friendliness and helpfulness of staff was inconsistent. It will be a shame to let this place, a previous out of the way gem, go further downhill.

Overall, a great priced hotel in this area. The staff was friendly, the hotel was kept up nice. The room smelled a little musty, but not enough for a lower rating. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Had a great nights sleep.

Poor breakfast with very hard biscuits and horrible waffles. The A/C in our room didn't work properly, but the front desk would not move us to a different room unless we paid a more expensive room rate even though rooms were available. Stay somewhere else!

The front desk associate was friendly. Carpets filthy in hallway, disgusting. When we mentioned this to the front desk attendant he responded "we just cleaned them 2 weeks ago, but we had construction guys tracking in". They carpets look like they've NEVER been cleaned in the hallways. The cleanliness of the room was ok: a little extra cleaning of the mirror frame could be done (dust, splatters). The fan in the bathroom was noisy. The he bed comfort was ok. The internet is NOT high speed. Could not get good connection and it took forever to get on, if we were even able to. The breakfast was average, the breakfast area was clean. Most importantly there are NO ELEVATORS. We had to carry luggage up to the 2nd floor.

Just as the name of this hotel states this is at the crossroads of U.S. 30 and U.S. 41. This was a great location and we were able to find several restaurants that served good food. We were also close to Albanese Gummy Bear Store! We took home around 15 pounds in small packages for gifts. Dyer and Merryville are nearby for additional places to visit. We like to explore local towns and this hotel served as a good base.

Lobby & hallways a bit dated, but the room, bed & bath very clean. Felt very safe during my stay! Room had mini fridge & microwave a mini coffee machine which I did not need as it was offered at complimentary breakfast bar.

Staff was OK, but not clean. Was very disappointed with room being NOT cleaned already upon arrival. The cleaning staff forgot to clean the room and front desk gal did it instead. Breakfast being included was a nice bonus though--can't complain about that for the price.

While the hotel was in a great location, it was difficult to find because it set back off of the road and the signage was small. The breakfast selection was limited when it comes to fruits for the day I suggest packing your own. Service was average save one person who went over and beyond.

We were in town for a family event, and needed a place to stay. We were able to attend the event and the next day it was close enough to Chicago for a quick family trip. I would recommend this to people wanting to stay close to the city without paying the city price for accommodations. I grew up in Northwest Indiana and know that Schererville is a great place to stay. The hotel was clean, and was quiet for a Saturday night. It's off of main roads so it's accessible and easy to find - but is far enough away from the road where you don't hear traffic.

My family was attending a wedding in this town and since we were not going to spend a lot of time in our hotel room and were only staying one night, we looked for a mid-range hotel and found this one. We got there and were given a room on the 2nd floor - there are no elevators! We dumped our bags and went to the wedding. We returned late in the evening and found half-eaten food in our refrigerator and that our room had NOT been cleaned. Outside of the hotel, there were a few groups gathered in the parking lot and a young girl was working the desk. While she was pleasant, she, too, did not think the area was very safe. THe hotel is tucked back off the street and the parking lot is dark. They also did NOT have a comparable room for us so we left and found another hotel a block away. This is NOT a nice place at all! There are plenty of other hotels right in the area. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere!

Booked with reservations thru the BW website thru members services. After arrival on the first day, hotel cancelled my second night reservations (Friday) and up charged me for the second night. After contacting BW, I got a 90% percent refund of the upcharge. If you stay more than one night make sure you check the charges.

This is a smaller hotel than most but was clean and the staff were very helpful with our needs. We were unable to take advantage of the breakfast but most of the other guests looked like they were enjoying the breakfast. We would be happy to stay here again if in this area.

We stayed for 4 nights. Rooms were very clean. Breakfast was served earlier than the posted time. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Would differently stay again. Rates were very reasonable. A lovely quiet place.

Good overall stay. Thin walls, but almost all hotels are. Television was LG, but very poor screen definition. Programs were very good. Breakfast was OK. Coffee excellent. Pool looked good, but didn't go in. Hospitality was very cordial and accommodating. Room attendants were thorough and on time.

I had never stayed at this Schereville hotel before and I will never again. Many of the hotels in the area were booked or we would have left immediately upon entering the first room we were given. We paid $140 per night for a $60 a night hotel. This facility is a step up from a Motel at best. After loading all of our luggage on a cart we pulled it in, only to find out there are no elevators in this hotel, so we then unloaded the cart and carried our belongings up the stairs to a room that wasn't fit to stay in. I travel a lot and have never smelled a room so bad in my life. As soon as we opened the door of our assigned room a horrible rancid smell overcame you, to the point we gagged and had to cover our nose and mouth. I did not know what could even cause such a horrible smell. We turned around carrying what we could and went back to the front desk. The young lady was very nice in assisting us with another room, so back up the steps with our belongings we went with our fingers crossed that we would never have to smell that smell ever again. There were no comforters on the bed, just a thin blanket. Only one ice machine on the first floor with towels on the floor beneath it because it was leaking, no indoor pool only an outdoor pool. They did serve breakfast in the lobby, however based off the conditions of the room we chose to eat out. I believe the price of this hotel needs to come down drastically. When people pay that kind of money per night they expect a certain level of luxury and this hotel was bare minimum even down to the shower of which had very little water pressure. Unless you are in a major city you expect to get a nice room for $150 per night, I can see if we were staying in downtown Chicago we might expect this type of low standard hotel for the price but we were staying in Schereville, IN.

I really loved having the microwave and the refrigerator in the room. The room was clean, my most important criteria. Staff was friendly, but the housekeeping staff was a little loud in the hallways. It was a good location, being close to my family.

The room had a horrible odor to it. Our hotel room door did not lock! The outside doors that should be locked during night hours (you should have to use a key to get in them), were never locked! Our wake up call came over an hour late. There was no TV remote in our room and once they found a TV remote to work, the TV didn't work and it took them over 24 hours to come and fix it

Front doors are never locked. Easy for anyone to walk right in even at 3:00 am. Bathrooms need to be refreshed. An average hotel with an average price. Great housekeeping but not so great front desk people.

Just an average hotel. Would probably stay here again if in the area. Our friends live close by and it makes it nice as we don't have to travel too far to see them. The entrance off 41 is very hard to get in and out. The small sign on 41 is very hard to see as it blends in with other businesses on 41.

My husband and I had a very pleasant stay at the BW Crossroads Inn. It was our second time staying there; first time one year prior. Can't beat the value for the money. Very kind staff, surprised by the great breakfast which we must have skipped last time.

My experience at this hotel was awesome and that is why every time I come to town I stay at this hotel. Not only is the customer service awesome, but the rooms are nice and it's in the heart of Northwest Indiana. There's shopping centers, restaurants and it's about 40-45 minutes from downtown Chicago. The continental breakfast is great as well, I was expecting to have a muffin and juice, but there's so many choices of hot food available. I will always stay here.

Clean Room, Nice People, Front Desk Clerk Was Fantastic, Overall Fabulous Experience. I was there on a business trip, the people who worked there, were very helpful with directions, and basically directed throughout the area. Five Star Service.

I had a 4:00 AM wake up call by a bug crawling up my leg. Needless to say, this wake up call was not requested. Although I was given a 50% discount for the night, I think you have to ask yourself as I did, would you climb back into bed after that happened? The couch was very uncomfortable!

We stayed here due to meeting a high school friend. Check-in was quick and hotel staff was great to work with. Room very clean and organized. Very quiet hotel. Located off the main road, Indianapolis Blvd, but this is an advantage since it's quiet "in the back". Breakfast was outstanding. Good selections and hot food was hot!! You don't get that at other hotels. A lot of restaurants and shopping within driving distance, meaning 5-10 minutes. Room had a refrigerator which was great for water and fruit that we brought in. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others and we will look to stay here again when we visit Northwest Indiana. Keep up the great work!

This Hotel was a little hard to find,it sits back off the road behind some other buildings.(We got there after dark).The usual Best Western sign was missing from the front of the property,so had to look inside to make sure we were at the right place.It was your usual Best Western,we were just needing a place to sleep while we were in town.They cleaned the room and made the beds so it was fine for us.

Good Hotel for a great price. It is located Right off the 40 and 30 intersection.They have a great friendly staff. The room was good. No complaints. I would recommend to anyone.... I will visit again.

This is a typical Best Western. A clean, decent-sized room, convenient location, plenty of parking, efficient staff, good breakfast & reasonably-priced, everything that I expect & almost without exception receive from a Best Western hotel. My only small quibble would be the lack of an elevator, but that's not a deal-breaker!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and quiet with amenities close by. Close to numerous restaurants and good highways. Major crossroads of the country. Nestled in the middle of the block so it is very quiet for the area.

Overall not a bad place. The breakfast was good and the staff was friendly but the room smelled of mildew bad. I turned on the fan to clear out the smell but it only made the smell worse. We only stayed one night and arrived late thankfully. the pool was nice and warm to swim in outside.

Nothing exceptional here, but what I pretty much always get when staying at any Best Western - reliable, decent room, pretty clean, great staff, quality breakfast and good locations. This one has a small but nice outdoor pool that was well maintained and property was very quiet. Only real issue was very dim light bulbs in bath/vanity area.

Nice hotel, great staff. Had a wonderful time! If your traveling to Chicago this hotel was awesome, close to the South Shore Train line 8 miles north. Very nice, reasonably priced hotel. The fitness room was excellent! I worked out everyday and was very satisfied with their equipment!

I stayed at this hotel while attending a wedding. The hotel allow ed us an early check in , at no extra charge, so that we could dress there for the wedding. The hotel was comfortable. The staff was courteous and efficient. Breakfast was very good.

We attended a family wedding and drove a long distance to be there. From the time we walked in to the time we left we had great, great service! Easy check in with answers to all questions. Comfortable beds, quiet hallways and rooms, good breakfast, nice and CLEAN pool. Not a fancy place but it met and exceeded our needs.

The hotel staff could care less about customer satisfaction. The hotel appearance inside and out needs a face lift. Breakfast was horrible. Very little food was out and what was in the "warmer" was cold. When asking for waffle mix the staff insisted it was filled. I insisted it wasn't and they finally came out, looked at it and said "oh" and filled it. This location is not worth your time/money. The hotel staff is not accommodating at all. Best Western should be embarrassed to have their name on such an establishment. This location certainly gives Best Western a bad name.

Great Price, Clean, Great Breakfast, Nice Room and professional staff. Location was perfect and there were many hotels in the area. Chose this hotel for the price and it was a great value. We are returning to this Hotel in September for a week as my daughter is getting married a few miles away.

The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was pretty good. The rooms very clean and great working wifi. This is one of the few hotels I could not find any fault in during our trip. All the rooms are non-smoking also, however, there are butt cans outside for smokers.

The hotel had nice spacious rooms with a very comfortable bed. Despite being in a densely populated area it was very quiet. I wasn't bothered by traffic noise at all. It was in a convenient location close to a variety of restaurants and shopping malls. The shower was great and the towels nice and fluffy.

Hotel was a cute 2 story type with no elevator which we knew ahead of time and was just fine. The location was off the road a little quieter with a nice pond and wooded view. The Hotel looked newly painted and carpeted. The room was average, the bed wasn't the most comfortable and the pillows were like rubber. I should have brought my own but when a person is spending the price for a room these days they should pay attention to the comfort details. I probably would stay there again because we liked the location. They only have an outdoor pool so it was too cold for swimming. The Breakfast did not seem as good of quality that we've come to know at Best Westerns, not sure if they all have changed. We'll find out this summer when we stay in VA.

I was greeted daily, front desk people were extremely friendly. the room was cleaned and was very satisfied with my stay. The hot food was hot and cold food was cold, very happy with breakfast. I was very happy with this stay, I will be staying there again later this week and then again this summer. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the extreme cleanliness and friendliness of our experience there. Everyone went out of their way to accommodate us too! You can tell the family operating the facility takes a lot of pride and care in what they do.

Rooms are always clean and fresh with comfortable beds. Plenty of channels available on the TV. The entire hotel is clean and well maintained and grounds are well presented. They do a good job of clearing the snow in the winter making parking and walking across the lot safe.

motel gives you very limited and poor quality supplies ,breakfast,sound control. bring your own bathroom stuff. plan on going out for breakfast. bring ear plugs if you have someone talking,coughing or crying next door.

The stay here at Best Western was very comfortable and relaxing. The front desk girl was pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean & smelled fresh. The bed was comfortable. The bedclothes were fresh and clean. Plenty of clean towels. Breakfast was typical with biscuits, gravy, pastries & bagels. Overall, a great stay.

First, this hotel is hard to find due to there is a very small sign showing that it was there. We passed it the first time. Second, our first room smelled smoky and wet, then we found a razor blade on the night stand and a dirty washcloth in the floor. We were moved promptly to another room that was clean and smelled clean. What also makes me upset is that there was a potential guest behind us that came in and asked for a room and he was told there was no vacancy. But how did we get moved to another room so quickly if there was no rooms available? Third, the breakfast was not worth going to. I have more food at home. Finally, the one nice part was the little girl at the front desk. She was friendly. That helped out a little anyway.

Stayed one night on business, staff pleasant, room very nice, breakfast nothing special, but good. A lot of restaraunts and gas stations around makes its location very convenient. That's my review, see ya down the road.

We stayed in this hotel for 5 Nights, hotel is Conveniently located (was close from our work location). There are lots of restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable bed but Breakfast is very basic.

Stayed here a week for a wedding. They had everything we needed and were very friendly and accommodating. We had no complaints. The Breakfast was a plus and saved us time and money. Would definitely stay here again.
