Best Western Plus South Holland/Chicago Southland

My stay at this hotel was amazing, the staff was friendly Its clean, its quiet plus all the Restaurant and stores you need is 3 minutes away. Love it and I will return. The breakfast was also amazing. They serve HOT BREAKFAST. Its worth the money.

The hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. Had a king size room and it was comfortable and clean. The bed was really comfortable with lots of pillows to choose from. Bathroom was clean and shower pressure was good. A/C and heat worked well. Breakfast was a traditional hotel breakfast and was adequate.

This place was very clean and the staff was friendly and professional. They were very accommodating with in reason. Rooms were very clean and bed was very comfortable. Bathroom could use brighter lighting for applying makeup however that's just a person preference, because it does not take away from the cleanness and comfort of the hotel or room. I would recommend and return .

I wanted a place conveninet to the highways into the CHI region, and also convenient to mass transit into the Loop. My general criteria are a comfortable bed, working TV and WiFI, a decent breakfast, and no nasty surprises. This BW seemed to fit the bill, and it worked out well to get to the Calumet Metra station. The stay was perfectly fine. It turned out I needed to stay in the area 2 days later, and I returned to this location. I was surprised to find that the hotel was busier on the weekend than on the previous weeknight. I was a bit irked that they provided a Tesla charger but not a more general Level 1 (1772) charger, but neither had been promised. Blackout curtains were a nice plus. I'd come back.

Friendly efficient staff—Hirsha & Bria & another female assistant, name unknown. Very bright clean room & bathroom, great amenities. Handy shampoo etc dispensers mounted inside shower wall. Comfy firm bed & linens; iron & board included; fridge with separate freezer a definite plus. Outside area well maintained. Felt safe.

Noisy hotel. Flooring buckled and tapped down. Room was ice cold and very moist. Window coverings didn't let up or down. Horrible cancellation policy. Soap dispensers didn't work in bathroom. Definitely wouldn't stay for more than 1 night.

There was a rag with feces in the bathroom under the sink which was there when we arrived in the room. I only stayed one night tried not to complain because it was just one night and honestly we didn't realize until the morning what was in the rag.

Clean, nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good with a number of choices. When we returned from dinner, the lights were out because of a storm. The desk worker greeted us and walked us up the stairs and to our room to make sure the electronic key worked. The lights came back on at midnight.

Pleasant front desk staff at a sub-standard facility. If this is the plus, may I never stay at a general Best Western. - Clean-ISH rooms where the staff leaves toilet paper and tissues on the counter instead of where they belong - Food stains running down the front of the fridge upon check in that remained the next day - Tasteless breakfast - Beds barely remade - Lobby looks nice, but don't let it fool you

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. I read recent reviews and some were very good and some were not. You can't be too positive these days, you will be disappointed. But I was not! We were in room 304 and the worst thing about it was the solo act going on in room 306. I wore white socks around the room and they were not dirty. This tells me a lot. The shower was nice, the water was super hot. Everything that needed to be cleaned and filled, were. In the morning we went down to the breakfast area. The food smelled really good, which is a good sign. You can make your own waffles, there was fresh fruit, juices, hot beverages of all sorts, yogurt, bread, milk, cereal, muffins, sausage patties, sausage links, cheese omelettes and probably some other things that I didn't see. If you left hungry from that, it's your own fault. The two ladies working were very nice and very helpful. The only thing that was a little disappointing was that we had reserved two rooms, one was for our son and his family. They arrived before we did, but were not able to check in because the reservation was not in his name. We arrived later than we had anticipated, which was a good thing, I guess, because the rooms were not ready for checking in until 45 minutes after regular check-in time. We had rooms 304 and 302. Both were nice and clean. Our son has a 1-year-old and we only heard him cry out once through the wall between us and didn't hear anything else from that side. It was just the side of 306 that was noisy, so she must have been really loud for us to hear her so clearly. I look forward to staying here again the next time we visit the area.

Nice hotel in a decent location and felt safe. My only complaint in 3 nights was that there was no full length mirror (bad bathroom lighting). I had no clue what I looked like must of the weekend. Also it's prom time I saw outfits but it was still quiet

Best Hotel and convenient location. Very friendly staff! Breakfast was hot and well stocked!! Breakfast area was neat and clean.

I stayed for 4 nights and not once did anyone change of bedding, replacement of towels, replenish toilet paper, amenities, or empty trash containers. On the last day there was beer spilled in the elevator where there was a heavy smell of alcohol that wasn't cleaned up. In fact, there was a empty beer can along with a wet floor sign placed in the corner of the instead of cleaning it! The smell was horrific! I informed the hotel staff, he stated I should have informed them that and the next let the font desk know! What!?? Is this how you treat guests? The last time I stated back in February was quite different. It actually was very clean pleasant which led me to sped more nights! Sadly, this time was atrocity! I am no longer interested in staying at this location ever again! I will try a different location be cause I love the reward points and I have a free room redemption I would like to use, but NOT with the location I just in! If this is the same at the others, I will try a different hotel. I was very disappointed :-(

Made the reservation because the property was listed as having an EV charger. It was broken. Front desk staff was very friendly. But the property felt plagued by such deferred maintenance: the pool is closed, and the elevator sounded like it might fail imminently. Buyer beware.

I visited this hotel and left with the thought of having to recommend the experience to others. The internet was fairly strong, the staff was helpful, and it was never an issue getting into contact with housekeeping. What made it all even better was the quality of the room and services.

This hotel has recently been updated. The indoor pool is closed until further notice. The bed was comfortable. The only downfall was the bathroom.. no exhaust fan and the shower had no pressure or heat to it.

I love this hotel this is the only one that I would stay at everything thing is clean, the employees are so nice and the stay is always amazing every time I stay. I love the room the bed is so comfortable

Staff was very friendly and tolerable because it was alot of us. Rooms were very clean and I appreciate the NICE SIZE 65' inch TV!!! Bathroom was very nice and decorative. I would definitely come back!!

If you're traveling and just needing a hotel to crash for the night, this would be the best option. Our room was not the cleanest & the bed & pillows were not very comfortable either. They do offer a full breakfast, but items took too much time to be refilled. Again, would on recommend for as a last resort option.

The room was very clean and well kept, especially for the price of it as well. Check in was very easy and the staff treat patrons very well. I enjoyed my stay and I will most definitely be booking again in the very very very near future.

Very quiet, clean, and staff is friendly. Felt safe and didn't have any issues during my 4 night stay. pool was under construction so didn't get to use it. Breakfast was good and always out on time. Plenty of parking and easy to get to. Target and food places just a mile away.

I enjoyed this clean and comfortable hotel. It was located near where I had to visit an ill relative for 3 days. Great front desk lady named Chetta, very hospital and friendly. Comfortable bed and nice atmosphere. Great free breakfast! Need more vending machines for after hours. Not to far from Midway airport.

Very nice, clean, quiet hotel. Very friendly front desk staff. He even knew how to use a Best Western Gift Card...which seems to be rare. Big fridge with separate freezer compartment was a plus. Big, walk in shower. Even a couch. Both bed and pillows were super comfortable.

I chose this hotel for cleanest and location there was a power outage and I had to sleep somewhere else and was never compensated. This hotel should have provided better customer service, I'm sure a backup generator would have helped especially walking up and down stairs.

There were 6 car break in one night! My car was one of the 6. I immediately checked out the following morning, when I spoke to the manager he told me that it is not there job to have security and he can no help me. No sympathy at all. Please don't stay here. Careless management

Broken Refrigerator, shower, curtain…very loud traffic noise… could not sleep at all. Don't stay here.Staff did not respond at all to what I had to say. We were very uncomfortable staying in this place. Perhaps the worst place I ever stayed. I've stayed in the BestWestern plus before in other places and they were much better, but not this place.

Retirement event in the area celebration of a lives work…… in comparison to the other available competitors in that area best western plus was a plus. Grocery stores supermarkets, fast food dining out. Restaurants were all available with in a driving range of 5 to 15 minutes. Of course traffic would dictate that in the future of this area has a casino development being built which is going to put the south Holland Chicago southland area on the map available access to the interstate, makes it ideal

The elevator made noise, no inspection tag inside the elevator. Upon checking in it seemed as though the attendant snatched my ID out my hand. Maybe I misinterpreted it he was foreign it may have been a cultural thing. The hallway floors had old carpet, needs updating. Rooms were clean but small, it needs new paint seems like jail walls. The doors to the rooms and bathroom seems like old apartment style, or jail doors. A little overpriced for what they are offering. I've stayed at better accommodations for less. The bed was comfortable, for one night it served it's purpose.

Stayed for a weekend event, room was clean and modern. Bathroom was spacious. We did not utilize the free breakfast as we had other plans in the area but it looked and smelled delicious. The hotel staff was very friendly through out our stay although we did not encounter any issues, they were readily available and friendly as we would come through. I will definitely use again if in the area, this will be my go-to hotel.

They tell you to try getting on the wi-fi from the hotel next door because you can get on theirs. First night the alarm clock in the next room went off at midnight for a 1/2 hour straight. We changed rooms but it was put in the system incorrectly. Front desk called at 2am asking who was in this room? We checked out a day early due to covid and didn't get refunded until I contacted BW main customer service#. I left an item in the room. I called hotel 3x before anyone confirmed it was even there. Nobody called me back even though each person said they'd check and call me back. I was told it was found right away yet nobody called me. Had they called immediately, we could've turned around and gone back to get it. I tried to arrange shipping with manager multiple times by phone and email. Every time I called I was told the manager was not there, just left, etc. BW main customer service said they cannot make hotel mgr contact me. After 27 days of no response, I had to drive from 2 states away just to get my item back!

The front desk staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms were exceptionally clean, spacious and modern! The complimentary breakfast was a little lacklustre; but, other than that it was a really enjoyable stay.

This building could be amazing if maintained but our experience was challenging. We arrived after calling to confirm our room had a sofa bed because there were three of us in a king size. They saitd us that was the case but we arrived and it was a king bed with a table and chairs. They said it was first come first serve and there were no rooms with sofas however were walked past one that had an open door and was not yet clean. I went back down and asked and the manager send that he could not give that room to us because they were full. I I asked for clarification reminding him that he said it was first come first sir and he said he would not give us the room. He did give us extra pillows for our daughter to sleep on the floor. In the morning when we were getting ready in the bathroom please started here a crackling noise and move smell something burning and noticed there was smoke coming from behind the mirror. We turned it off and immediately it will record it with you they said they would send maintenance when he arrived but if no one ever came. Running from breakfast, I stopped on the rubber mat in front of the elevator and it slid out from under me and hyper extended my leg. A staff member witnessed it and told me to be careful but just straighten the mat and went on. The pool is under construction but that is not mentioned anywhere on the website or when you check in. They are severely understaffed.

This hotel served our purposes very well. Parking was easy, check-in and out was seamless, the space and room were updated and clean, bed was very comfortable, water was hot, room temp was easy to control and A/C was quiet, and the room had the listed amenities. Breakfast was standard hotel fare, with decent variety and both cold and hot food options (as long as you don't show up in the last 20 minutes, when things understandably start to run out). They don't do daily towel/cleaning service, but that is stated up front and we don't need it. The pool was still not open, so if that matters to you (didn't to us), call first to confirm. The wifi was a bit shaky; don't expect to be able to stream video, but it worked for email and some web searches for us. Also, for some reason the room key stopped working well before checkout time; not sure if a glitch or programming error on the lock. You're also a bit at the mercy of those around you, sound-wise. If you can, get a room away from the elevator, which has a jarringly loud chime. Those down-sides were minimal overall, and I've had worse at more expensive places. For the price, overall this was a great stay, and we would recommend it to anyone not put out by the minor down-sides.

My daughter and I chose this hotel for the price and proximity to the venue we were going to. As always, when booking online, you really aren't sure what you will actually get. We were very happy with our choice. I was greeted with a smile by Chetta at the front desk. She was friendly and seemed happy to be there. Our room was nice and looked like it was in the pictures I had seen online. At first we were a little worried at seeing a couple of wet spots on the floor, which wasn't carpet, but realized that it was left over from being mopped recently. This realization made me happy as I knew we were in a room that was as clean as it could be. The room had a recently renovated feel/smell to it, but it didn't bother us. It was nice and suited our needs. The breakfast in the morning was your typical hotel morning breakfast with eggs, sausage, pastries, a waffle maker, etc. They things about this hotel that made it so fabulous was the staff. While most of my interactions were with Chetta, I did have a couple with other staff and everyone was nice and friendly. If I'm up in the area again, I would definitely stay at this location again.

This hotel is really new it's only been open since Dec. 2021. The pool was closed. The breakfast was good except for sausage it looked white & turkey bacon no real bacon they weren't cooked right. But rooms were very modern and bed was very comfortable. But you only get clean up every so many days.

We have been staying at Best Western hotels for quite some time, but this was an unexpected disappointment. Travelling with a baby, we hoped to get a clean room in this new facility. However, there were stains and hair all over the bed sheets, pillows and in the bathroom. The floor clearly hadn't been swiped. The employee at the check-in confirmed the room wasn't OK and offered a direct refund. However, we didn't get any refund. The payment wasn't cancelled and we paid 180$ for a room we couldn't even use. This is just unacceptable.

Absolutely wonderful, new and cleaned hotel. I will be booking this hotel again and for future trips to Chicago. The location is excellent to my nearby family. There was a small delay in getting into our rooms, only due to lack of housekeeping personnel's. My overall experience was grand. The rooms were clean and superb. The whole building smelled cleaned. Best Western Plus South Holland, Chicago, IL is a clean, low budget hotel where the staff is professional and friendly. Currently, the hotel's internet needs improvement so be sure to investigate if the internet issues have been resolved before booking your stay. Also, although guests are not allowed to smoke in the rooms, I could smell cigarette smoke in the hallway late at night.

The front desk staff was very nice helpful. We has a problem with our room and they adderssed the problem right away. If you need a hotel close to airport without spending a lot, this is a good choice.

This hotel is newly built and opened in December! Super clean to the hilt! Rooms are so nice and beds are super comfy! Staff is awesome! Marcel, the manager is the host with the most!! Excellent rate as well when other hotels are charging through the roof! Thank you for staying affordable. We appreciate you!!

We stayed here for a night to be near Chicago. Me, my husband and my two toddlers had an excellent time! Marcel was at the desk, and helped us with everything we needed! He was friendly, honest, and professional. The whole hotel looks like it's had a recent update, it's very clean and nice. The room was spotless and comfy. The food was great. The workout room was awesome. Honestly, no complaints. Stay here!!

Lukewarm shower water. Broken elevator. No wash clothes or hand towels in the room. 3 conditioners but no shampoo. Disappointing breakfast- even with Covid restrictions. Several other hotels at the same exit.

My stay exceeded the expectation. I actually looked at reviews from other locations and was afraid this would be the same. Boy was I surprised. The staff was great. It was quiet and clean. When I arrived the room's heat was not working and the refrigerator was not working. The young man addressed my concerns right away and switched my room. I wish I could remember his name. He was so nice and respectable. My check-out was very smooth with the young lady also. She was very professional.
