Best Western Hotel Prisma

I booked for a one night stay. I drove from England and the receptionist understood, I asked some questions and they were answered quickly and effectively. The room was very comfortable, lovely bed and mattress, bathroom was great, tea and coffee facilities. TV had options too. McDonald's over the road offered a late night snack. ALL staff were pleasant. Free parking. Felt safe in the area although it was quiet at midnight.

Location: It is a bit of a drive from the Autobahn. There is a McDonald's across the street. There is a fair bit of complimentary parking at the hotel. Check in: German, I suppose. Not overly welcoming but not unfriendly either. The reception answered the questions I had and they spoke good English (far better than my German). Room: My room was on the top floor. It was not large but it was fine for one person for one night. The bathroom was small. Both the room and the bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable. Wifi: I could not get the free wifi to work and used my mobile Internet instead. Breakfast: The complimentary breakfast was good with both hot and cold items. Overall: This hotel is average but I would stay here again.

Unfortunately this Hotel does not have air-conditioning in the rooms, and the floor insulation is terrible, you can hear people walking around above your heads and in the corridors. A real shame as the room and bathroom sizes, decor and beds were very good, and the breakfast was much more than ok. Charged way too much considering the above

Okay hotel, but outdated, rooms can use an update. Would not recommend the hotel to business travelers as reception was unable to cancel two remaining days of my stay after my business finished early.

Everything was excellent. Nice, cleaned and very space room. Excellent breakfast with very nice people. I will recommend it to all visitors who are heading to North of Germany on way to Denmark, Sweden etc. The location is very close to highway so you can go directly to hotel with no traffic or so. the parking is huge and space, and you do not need to pay for it.

We came without any expectations as we had not been with you before. But everything was well organized and we enjoyed being with you. The staff was so friendly and good educated, the food was "lecker" and evrything was done to make us feel good. The bed and linnen was nice too. Thank you.

on arrival i was welcomed by the reception staff, both very friendly and professional . i was made to feel very welcome. the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable . i was upgraded for free to a bigger room, again which was super . my room was facing the road, this was not a huge problem, however some customers may find the light road noise a distraction, however this did not stop me from having a great nights sleep. Breakfast was perfect and the staff very friendly and welcoming , a great team there. free parking and only max 10 mins from the major HighWay(Motorway) and easy to find. i would recommend and use again in the near future.

Clean rooms, good beds, good food at the restaurant. Free parking. Simple, but good breakfast. Generally good value for your money. The hotel is at a central location, very close to Kiel. Will definately stay here again.

We stayed one night. The hotel haws about 100 rooms and is located a couple of km from the city centre with good access from A7. Check in was friendly and efficient. The hotel is basic but well maintained and our room was spacious, quiet and clean. Breakfast was enclosed in our rate, and was very good with several hot and cold choices. The food was of high quality and the staff in the breakfast room did a very good job. We would definitely come back again.

Nice hotel! Being here for one night! Nice clean rooms, friendly staff and nice position of hotel! Close to A7 road, with big parking!Food are very well, eat some steak with fries and salad! After that a nice chocolate desert!

My wife started the check-in process, but as soon as I joined her, the receptionists stopped to address her, ignoring her completely and only spoke to me. Never experienced anything like this outside an Arab country ! Really rude ! Rest of the staff was very friendly, the bed comfortable, the breakfast fantastic. Rooms are too hot, even with heating off. The decor is a bit 1980s, I guess that was when the hotel had been built. Parking is free of charge. I would not take much to give it a higher rating. Pity.

I visited this hotel for two nights for christmas shopping in the outlet. It was a great experience. Good beds, cleaning, service and breakfast. The rooms where quiet, and no street noice even though there was a large road next to the hotel. McDonalds is right across the street.

That's what mattered the most here. Every single staff member was extremely friendly! A very nice, clean and comfortable hotel. If you have a light sleep, then you need to know that the walls are very slim...you hear a lot of what's happening around you. The restaurant is very good. It's a bit expensive, but very delicious. All in all I would recommend this hotel and come back for sure!

Our room was smallish but we had a nice king bed. There was a desk and a small love seat adjacent with end table. I'd have liked a mini-bar to keep drinks cool but we were able to get plenty of ice cubes from the bar. The shower had a “mini tub” at the bottom with a plug so that you could soak your feet after a long day of walking. I added Epsom salts. We had a very good stay here and were comfortable. The bed was fine and all was clean and in order. A safe would have been nice to store our valuables during the day. Breakfast here was sublime and among the best complementary breakfasts I have had in may years. I really liked the fruit they put out - lovely watermelon, peaches, cantaloupe that tasted like cantaloupe and currants that were so fresh they had leaves attached to the stems. They had sautéed mushrooms, scrambled eggs and you could have eggs made to order if you wanted. The breakfast team was very friendly and everything was quickly replenished when items ran low. I would stay here again just for the breakfast!!! Front desk team was helpful and there when needed.

The hotel is ok, and its located outside the country . The beds are good, but we miss aircondition and refrigdirator in the heat. But the room was big, and small gifts on each bed, and a New german book on the bedtable make it more cozy to come into the room. The staff was friendly.

Basic quality hotel but have some specific positive things - very comfortable parking, good bed quality, near HolstenHallen (5 min on foot). Good room (if You get Comfort room, it's garden side, just unfortunately without AC). Also important - very helpful staff.

This hotel caters to long distrance drivers and we were most definitely in that category. After driving from Norway, we arrived very late and booked the hotel within an hour of arriving, through a well known travel site. On arrival the 2 ladies at front desk couldn't get us into a room because even though our booking showed on Best Western's system, their separate system took up to 3 hours to receive the information. Just what you want to hear at an obscene hour of the morning after driving 40 hours straight!! I suggested that since they had our booking showing in one system, it was clear we had actually booked and paid for a room, so could we just get settled in a room and in the morning it would all be sorted - no, they actually expected us to wait until the information went from one system to theirs, up to 3 hours. Discussing between them, trying to find a solution and not caring about how exhausted we were. UTTERLY RIDICULOUS!! Also we paid a fortune as we booked last minute on the road, so didn't expect this for the money we paid. Best part of the hotel was the breakfast (see pics) which was fantastic, also the breakfast staff was very customer focused, ensured everyone had all they needed and had top ups whenever required. Front desk overnight could learn from this great lady! The room itself is fairly dated, though adequate (see pics). Parking is free and there are lots of spaces. Bed was not that comfortable - a little hard, tea and coffee facilities were plentiful and the internet was fine too. I spoke with a manager in the morning and she did apologise, agreed that staff should have just given us a room, realising she needed to train them better.

The hotel is more a business mans hotel than a holiday destination. That said it was fine for our requirement of a one night stay on a golf trip. the only minus was the hotel was generally very cold as the seemed to have turned all the heating off. The rooms were basic and a little dated but clean and adequate for our needs. Breakfast was good and the restaurant served good quality food at reasonable prices.

Great stay and a great New Year party they have organinized. Good food and very great staff. Would stay there again. The only minus was that the hotel was outside City centre, but there was only 1,5 Kilometer to venter ??

Stayed two nights in August. Location is spot on as you arrive from the Motorway - just on the north edge of town. Parking is free. English is spoken everywhere. Food is good quality and reasonable price; breakfast is included in price. Said to be a sauna, but not seen or used. The place is clean and tidy with lots of little give-aways in the room - face cream, nail file, biro, shower hat, shoe liners and a sewing kit - are they trying too hard here? Downside is that it's a 20 minute walk into town for the station and McDonald's (over the road) is the only real alternative for eats. On both my nights there were coach tours staying so it can get busy too, but no untoward delays caused. Overall the price is just about OK and relatively good value for a BW, perhaps because Neumunster is not brimming over with local tourist attractions of its own.

We were a group of friends stayed there for attending Wacken festival. The hotel is clean and nice. They clean every single day and change towels. Breakfast was really good, there were everything you may need for breakfast. Last but not least, breakfast is until 10:00 in the morning, so for the customers to catch it after a long night at the festival. There is a vending machine on the 4th floor for buying the necessary when there is no service. Tip: Try the theme rooms! There is also a sauna and a small gym. Highly recommended for metalheads!

The hotel is close to A7 and have lot of psrkingspaces. We are always staying at this hotel when we are traveling in Europe. Great rooms, helpful an much professional staff. A great breakfast buffet to choose from. Much value for the money.

Stayed here for a 1 night business stay and whilst there was nothing exceptional about the hotel it was satisfactory from all perspectives. Breakfast & Restaurant were both very good food with good quality menu and wide variation.

I stayed at the Best Western Prisma for 2 nights whilst working in Neumunster. The hotel is a definite 3.5 star TA rating for me, however comparing the experiences in my previous posts, I have to award a 3. The hotel seemed to be located well away from any restaurants or bars, and for this reason I didn't venture out. The staff at the hotel are very friendly, and the check in process was fast and easy. I had a room on the 2nd floor, which I tended to walk to rather than take the lift. The room was spotlessly clean, and the shower was fine also. The view out the window was a McDonalds on the other side of the road, however I didn't hear any noise from the road. Breakfast in the morning was a good selection and the scrambled egg was very nice indeed. The bar area was fairly busy on both nights, however there seemed to be a lot of work talk between different companies so I'm guessing there was some kind of conference. Later on, when there weren't many people in, it did feel quite soulless. Overall, this hotel will do the job if you have 1 or 2 nights with business nearby, otherwise I couldn't think of another reason to use it. I would stay here again when I am next on business in Neumunster.

The hotel was absolutely packed when we visited and parking was chaotic. We had paid for a room with a double bed but didn't get it and it was only because we have a BW platinum member card that we were able to get a proper bed. The designer/decorator that chose the furniture and decorated the rooms must have a job at a correctional facility because they are appealing in my opinion. Hotel is ok for a single night and the restaurant is good, but the service is slow. The staff speaks good English so that is a plus.

The staff was overly friendly and genuinely taking care of us. Good breakfast with all we could have wished for, attending staff both at the breakfast and at the dinner. I great backyard with grass and tables and close to the nearby McDonalds if you prefer a quick snack. Don't be too late if you want an on premises parking spot. Great room with enormous space. Clean and spotless. No A/C but windows can be opened. Pillows were the worst part of the stay - they shrinked to about 2 cms when pressure were put onto them, really bad quality.

Reserved a table at the restaurant when we arrived. When we went there to have our dinner we had to wait an hour from ordering the food to actually receiving it! This is simply too slow! Other than that the hotel appears nice and clean - but do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.

When You travel by car through Germany, You should visit in this hotel. The kitchen is not like normal German which is pork and beer, this has something else. It has a ala carte which comparable good. You could enjoy file or great salmon and food is just delicious. Of course, it is also hotel and with very good service and amenities.

The breakfast hot buffet is very poor quality. the scrambled eggs seem to be served first thing and then touched again. If you are late down then you may be scrapping them off the bowl to get any. the cold buffet is not too bad though.

A smallish hotel but quite good for a Best Western. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room quite comfortable but nothing exiting. There was no mini-bar in the rooms but on the ground floor and on the 4th floor there is a vending machine where you can get drinks and snacks. There is a small fitness room with a sauna too. I did not try the breakfast so cannot comment.

After 12 hours driving from Italy we arrived halfnhour past midnight and the welcome was excellent. Very friendly, and they also opened the Bar just for us so we could calm down with a cold beer. Nice and space room, very good bed and a really good breakfast with a great range of dishes. Very good value for money.

Staying in Best Western Prisma in Neumunster, was a mixed experience. It's a hotel where you can hear when the neighbours are flushing and you can follow what they are doing. It would serve it good with some noise reduction so you get a better night sleep. The breakfast they served was ok.

Very good place for car travelers. Big & free own parking. Light & spacy rooms. English speaking & welcoming staff. Good breakfast & quite good own restaurant ( goulash is strongly recomended). Rather far from city center to walk by foot (25-30 min), but for us it was OK.

The city of Neumünster is rearly ugly, but the stay in the best western hotel makes it much easier to deal with it. Very nice and friendly staff, fantastic breakfast buffet. The location is not near the city center, you need a car to get there from the station.

On our way from Belgium to Sweden, we had a one-night stop at this hotel in Neumünster. Easy to find, friendly staff, and a good room with comfortable beds - just what you want in a situation as ours. We also had a dinner at the restaurant, and it was good value for the price. Breakfast was certainly very good, so we will probably return to this hotel the next time we have a similar trip to do.
