Resumen de la reserva
Wonderful location. Close to lots of restaurants. Great staff (especially Lori at the front desk) better than the normal breakfast buffet. Very convenient access to and from the nearby highway. Recommend this particular property to all who are traveling through this area.
First of all, the pictures online are very deceiving. This is a very old motel. My sister won Gold in the fly and fruit fly killing competition. We felt like we were on an airport runway being bombarded by all the flies. The door had a big gap in it and was probably the "come on into A/C" entrance for the flies. The TV channel selection was lacking to say the least. We did have one towel, wash cloth, and hand towel each. Such extravagance! Hoping to get a decent breakfast was just too much to ask for. The scrambled eggs container was empty (at 8:30 am), the gravy had zero taste, and the biscuits were hard as a rock. The only saving grace was the muffins. Needless to say, I will never stay at this location, ever again and strongly suggest anyone needing a room in the area stay across the street at the Holiday Inn Express.
The photos and reviews are definitely false advertising that you get online. The Best Western is an old motel. Filthy outside and inside. Had to get rid of moths and other insects before going to bed. When we got up dead cockroaches in bathroom. The bathroom walls were filthy! They tried to update the rooms but didn't do a great job.
Very pleasant inn. Very helpful staff (Lori). Very clean and comfortable accommodations .We will be stopping here again.
Staying for work in the area. This hotel knows how to do folios for your accounting department. They know how to provide amenities away from home to make your stay as comfortable as possible. They make providing quick and effective service a priority.
The bathtub is slick, and a safety hazard, we were given shampoo enough for one person. The room smells musty, and the swimming pool is green. This place is overcharging by about forty bucks. We'll stay at the Best Western in Monroe from now on. This one has gone downhill.
If your expectations are low, this is your place. It's rough and unimpressive for $100 plus a night.
I have been in the Minden area doing survey work for a large construction project for almost 5 months. The staff at Best Western has made my need to stay very pleasurable. They have made sure that all of my needs have been met. I learned that this hotel is the preferred provider for price, quality, and hospitality.
The room was exceptionally clean, smelled fresh and stocked with amenities. The a/c smelled fresh when we turned it on instead of that “moldy” smell we experienced in other hotels. Only complaint would be breakfast could be better. Biscuits were hard but plenty of fresh coffee
We were stopping for the night on our way to eastern Louisiana and this hotel in Minden seemed like the perfect spot for us to drive to and then be able to finish our drive in the morning. We were so appreciative of the front desk gentleman who accepted my call about our late arrival (nearly 1 a.m.) and, upon arrival, he had a room close to the lobby and a key for us as well as a fast check-in so we could get to bed quickly and sleep before having to get up early to finish our drive. We were also impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the breakfast offerings and coffee for our departure. It was very accessible to the interstate but in a quiet location.
We always stay here when in the area. Rooms are always super clean, furnishings are updated and staff is always helpful. Its located in a safe area right off the interstate. Good walking area for our dog as well. We will definitely stay here again next trip to the area.
The breakfast is horrible the sausage were spoil. The orange juice and apple juice were straight water. The pastries were hard and old. The coffee maker was filled with slime and mildew. Never stay here again.
Check in was exhaustingly slow but the lady was nice. Our room door was already open when we got to it. That turned out to be a good thing since our key cards didn't work. Musty is the best description for the feeling inside the room and the smell. This one pace is more like a Motel 6 knockoff. Breakfast was light gray sausage like patties and scrambled eggs. C'mon people, brown the meat, give it a little color. There wasn't any creamer for the coffee. All in all I left there feeling itchy, sweaty, sticky, hungry, exhausted and cranky.
Very safe and convenient. Within walking distance to convenient store with a wonderful deli. Best hot sandwich ever. Clean room. The lady who checked me in took time to check on me, even though she was super busy. Would definitely stay here again.
Stains on blankets. Nats in room when eating! Asked if I needed room cleaned following day which of course didn't happen. Returned at 10pm from being out at a softball tournament just to be told there was no maid at the time. Beds stiff as hell
This was a great hotel! One of the best we have stayed at in a while. It was very clean and the staff was more than welcoming. Lori the check in person was very informative and very kind. She made a great first impression for Minden and Best Western.
These beds were incredibly comfy!! The hotel receptionist was SO awesome, she came and fixed our TV after it glitched AND made a great restaurant recommendation. Everything was clean clean, and for the price it was beyond worth the stay!! HIGHLY recommend!
Staff was polite and helpful room was one of the cleanest we experienced in the last few years 5 stars. Location was good for small town right off interstate close to Shreveport LA. less than half the price safe and above all clean.
BW Minden was a great place to stay. Called and got room at about 2pm and very courteous staff assisted. Room was clean and nice for an older hotel. Most of all the staff both at check-in and check out were very gracious. Would recommend to others.
Let me say up front that the only saving grace about my whole stay was the staff. They were all very nice and very helpful. The room wasn't bad and it was clean. But the beds were the worse. The bedding was pilled up - cheap sheets with too many washings. So rough I couldn't sleep on them. The pillows were cheap and hard also. There were four of us and only two towels. I went to get more and they only had one more. I was told someone was "hoarding" them. She was very nice about it. The air conditioning never came on all night. It was warm. It was also very noisy on the highway side of the hotel. Despite the fact that I am well over the age of "senior," I was unable to get a senior discount because I didn't have my AARP card with me. I've stayed at Best Westerns in the past, and I still can't believe this is a Best Western property. Never again.
We were delighted by the hospitality of Lori and other staff. She provided a box for our “breakfast-bag-to-go” .: Coffee, juice, fruit (apple, banana, or orange) cinammon role, granola bar, muffin, bottled water. Our room was impressive: TWO king size beds that were comfortable. It was clean in every way as was the bathroom. We spent two peaceful nights there. We never heard any sounds. We were able to park right by our door. Iron and ironing board worked fine. Microwave oven was easy to use and also very clean. We will be back, and the price was quite reasonable
We stopped here for one night during our road trip. The front desk attendant was so helpful and friendly! It was very late at night and she was still cheerful. The room was comfortable, had everything you need. The to-go breakfast was very basic.
The room was spacious and clean, older but fairly well maintained. The breakfast is what they called grab and go. You get a paper bag with a piece of fruit and individual packaged muffin/granola bar. You get no choice. If you are at all concerned about health safety mask use by staff at this hotel was not a thing, in fact I was ridiculed for wearing a mask….thus what dropped my rating down.
The hotel was as advertised. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows were comfortable. I was especially impressed by the lift at the swimming pool to allow people with disabilities to enter the water. (I was there in the winter so the pool was closed.)
This was a nice stop. Room was clean, bed and pillows wete comfortable and DirectTV gave us lots of viewing options. It was conveniently close to gas stations and freeway. And the price was reasonable. We would stay here again. The only negative was no hot breakfast but they had a cold "grab and go" breakfast that was ample.
One of the most comfortable and quietest houses we have experienced! I slept really well there, which is something unusual for me.. Go to the Valero just north of the motel for some really awesome gumbo!
Great hotel. Clean and easy assess off the highway. I'm a very critical of hotels. This was my first time staying in a motel, meaning the doors to the room are outside and you walk right to your door. The experience was great. I stayed overnight, due to traveling to Texas. I would visit again.
Property is run down, not very clean, front desk staff came in room and sat on bed without a mask on needing paperwork to be signed that she misplaced. She said that Covid was BS. My cousin was in the room when she said this. His wife died of Covid. She also denied waiver fee of his service dog. Worst experience ever at a hotel. I could go on and on....
This Inn was really more than I expected. In the sense of location and quality of the service of the attendant at check in and the cleanliness of the room including the restroom. Local eateries was a plus as well.
Hard to find a clean room at a low price with breakfast best western is one of the best compared to Red roof or motel 6 nd a better price than Holiday Inn and others I will keep looking for best western motels when I travel
Pool was broken and breakfast was grab and go despite the fact that covid is no longer a real factor. Room was clean. Remote didn't work but we didn't want to deal with having it looked at. Had the pool been operational this would have been a much better experience - we primarily stayed here because the kids wanted to swim after a long day of driving.
We only stayed in this hotel for one night, on a trip to visit family, but we enjoyed our brief stay. The room was spacious and very clean. The front desk staff was friendly and very helpful, answering questions as well as bringing requested extra supplies. If we find ourself in this area again, we will definitely try to book a room here.
The check in clerk was friendly however the hotel is old and run down. You can see mildew on the shower curtains and we had a roach in our room and were accused of leaving the door open. The grab and go breakfast was moderate, nothing warm, and the bed linen had cigarette burns
We needed a safe, clean and comfortable place for my family to stay enroute to our final destination. This hotel fit the bill 100%. Staff was very friendly. Beds were comfortable; breakfast was handled for safety of travelers. The staff did everything they could to make the place Covid-safe for us.
Due to thunderstorms we spontaneously stayed at this hotel. while I have read mixed reviews I would guess that anything less than a 5 star review was because Lori was not working that day. When we arrived, Lori made us so welcomed, gave us extra towels , searched for tea bags for my husband to get the chill out of his bones and gave us recmmendations for dinner delivery. When we checked out Lori had Covid friendly to go breakfast for us. I would recommend stating at this hotel
Love staying at this hotel it was clean, comfortable and good customer service. It very quiet no noise, great area.I was tell my family and friends to go there because I know they would love it to stay there.
But calling this place “a dump” is an understatement. It is tired and worn, electric plugs on bedside lamps inoperable, and cleanliness highly questionable. The only nearby restaurants for weary travelers were pizza chains. One positive, despite being close to the road, I didn't hear road noise. And the bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. So not a total miss, but almost.
We were traveling from NC home to SoCal in dune buggies so it was a long day and we were tired and hungry. The rooms were clean and welcoming. Could of used an extra towel or 2 but all in all this was a very comfortable hotel.
Night front desk lady was wonderful. Couldn't ask for anyone more accommodating. We were there friday- sunday. AM front desk lady was rude. Slamming chairs around and fussing. My cousin and I were talking I told her, that is rude. The staff looked at me and said you got a problem. I was not talking to her. She should not be in customer service. We booked 4 rooms for a reunion, none were cleaned Saturday.
Rooms are very clean and seem recently updated. However the rate is a little high. Especially the pet fee. 15 dollars a night for a pet. The staff is courteous and helpful. Breakfast could be better. Access in and out is a challenge. Overall not a bad stay. But at 102 after pet fee and add tax to that, it seems over priced. But it's the only decent hotel to accept pets in the area.
The hotel was updated and upgraded to a hotel expectation. Was clean and inviting. Everything in the room worked and the sheets were clean to the basic eye. The only complaint was that the service team cleaned my room and took my used towels but did not provide new ones. The breakfast was decent, provided a few hot and cold items. Coffee was good.
Front desk person was great, but... Not sure our bed had been changed between guests. It was corrected immediately, but that is not OK. Our room also smelled like cig smoke. Again, front desk personnel is great which accounts for the second star.
I wouldn't normally choose a motel but it was all that was available in the area but it was great! The woman that checked me in was so nice and really fast! The rooms were super clean and modern. The linens on the bed were also really comfortable. My kids also enjoyed the outdoor pool.
Stayed here with a friend last Saturday. Went to get the room the clerk asked me why I was staying. I made up and excuse saying I was just to tired to drive any further. She blurts out my address WITH another guest in the lobby.(mistake #1) I get to the room(211) and the room had not been clean except for the bedding had been pulled. There was a gallon bag with watermelon, on the dresser, trash in the garbage cans, dirty towels everywhere, crayons, and a pizza box on the floor by the front door.(mistake #2) I went down back down to get another key. Got into the second room(214) and it was clean, so I thought. We went to pull the cushions off thinking the couch folded out, but it wasn't, there were ashes and flakes of skin under the cushions. (Mistake #3) I called the front desk the next morning around 10:30 to let them know we were leaving and the phone didn't have a dial tone with the receiver, but it did on speaker phone so I just used the speaker phone. The clerk could not hear me. I finally got a dial tone on the receiver so called again. The clerk kept yelling hello and the said you need to call back your phone isn't working. (mistake #4)
Excellent . They respected me and my dog. I had absolutely no problems. The room was non-smoking and it did not smell of smoking. It was very clean. I had absolutely no problems with this best western.
This hotel has all outside entrances, just a note for people to know. The room was clean and comfortable and I think a good value. It is convenient off the highway but not so much to restaurants. They are down the road in town and not much choice when you get there. If you have food with you then it is not a problem.
I was driving back home to Texas from Mississippi and this was about half way so it seemed a like a good choice. The rooms were clean and had a modern renovation with comfortable beds. The staff were all nice and professional, I would definitely stay here if I'm in the area again!!
The hotel was great as a stop in my Reunion visit. The price was a great value for the service and stay received. Kudos to Best Western as always. I always enjoy my stay with you and some of your hotels are more outstanding than the five star hotels.
The lady behind the front desk went beyond what an employee of a hotel would. She was very friendly and took pictures of our little group of 3. Later, she called the room to check on picture satisfaction! I believe her personality was perfect for working with the public. She deserves a pat on the back and anything else Best Western feels fit for an outstanding employee! Even though hotel was next to a major highway, we all slept peacefully!
Best Western takes the worry out of my trip because it is like they are waiting for me to come home. The welcome is warm, the service is great and the rooms are just down right calming with beautiful earth tones with a hit of color. All the different textures and modern furniture shows someone was kinda picky like me. I love my Best Western family.
Room was clean, beds comfortable. Nice work station and an amazing recliner as a bonus surprise. Staff friendly and accommodating. Only 2 devices allowed to connect to WiFi per room but I was given another ID to use since the teenagers were connected. $15 pet fee
This hotel has a very friendly service with fast check-ins and check outs, clean, quiet rooms with WiFi, and a comfortable bed. Had their breakfast and was pleasantly surprised with the variety and and quality of the food.
All was OK here. WIFI is limited to only two logins per room so you need to ask for another code if you have more devices you want to use online. Bed was comfy and the AC worked well. Everything seemed clean. Breakfast was pedestrian with watery sausage gravy. The toaster was not working correctly either so attention needs to be focused on breakfast. Even though I rated the hotel average I would stay again as there isn't anything wrong - just nothing wowed me and improvement is needed.
The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast was served. We stayed here as a stop on a road trip to Gulf Shores. It was just what we needed and had no hassles. We would stay here again.
Stayed here for years, this year there is upgrades. Much needed and looks nice! Rooms were clean! Maids were super friendly and helpful. Glad to see y'all taking care of the place! Minden needs better restaurants tho! Dominos didn't even deliver:/
We have stayed at this hotel many, many times and have always been satisfied. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very helpful in all aspects. the price of this hotel is very reasonable, the breakfast is great. You can't go wrong at any Best Western as the prices are very reasonable.
kedricko is a lair and he out to destroy SHIRLEY she is a great hard worker and always helping and keep the place very nice and clean great breakfast very friendly she very good at what she do so I would come back and tell others too you can't please everybody some people would just not like you no matter what you do
Ghetto and family at hotel eating up the food with no room and on the computer taking up all the time. In desperate need of a front desk person ASAP effective immediately. Never will recommend as long as Mrs. Shirley works there and my company stays there all the time but would have to recommend Holiday Inn from here on out, and we have to get every bit of 6 rooms at a time but never again.
Comfortable room and bed, breakfast offered, fitness room available, friendly and helpful staff. The location was very conveniently situated - close to the interstate and a short distance into town. The staff was great and I really enjoyed the soft bed. Free internet allowed me to complete some of my work in the room after working hours.
Clean. Bed was amazingly comfortable. No bed bugs. Bathroom clean as a whistle. TV and channel selection very good. Refrigerator was very large and very nice. Couch was comfortable. The chair for the desk was a little short for the height of the table, but very minor annoyance at best. Breakfast was VERY GOOD and well maintained. I took a point off because the high speed internet was not very consistent, and was not really high speed - 2 MBps. I think they need to have a frank discussion with the contractor for the WIFi service. I will stay there again without a moments hesitation. Staff was professional and everything that you want/need from them.
This hotel was clean and comfortable. The hotel is an older style hotel but was an excellent choice for me. The internet and breakfast were good. The staff was very helpful although I did not need much assistance. If you are looking for fancy, this is not the hotel for you but if you are looking for a clean and comfortable stay at a reasonable price, this is it. They also have a washer/dryer ($2/load).
Friendly staff, very please rooms and overall experience was pleasing I will stay again and recommend to all my co-workers and friends. Was close to where I needed to be and the staff were always willing to help in all my needs and request.
The friendly staff made our stay a pleasurable one. Having booked two rooms for out of state guests, I was amazed that there were virtually no complaints. The rooms were clean and affordably priced. The amenities excellent! We will use Best Western again!
I stay at a lot of indoor Best Westerns but for an outdoor property, this is the cleanest inside and out hotel I've ever seen. The beds are excellent the wifi is great and the customer service is by far the best. The management team at this hotel definitely strives to meet their clients goals. The breakfast area is a lot bigger then the last time I stayed, and the variety of breakfast is unbelievable. Thank you so much it was definitely worth the money.
The cleanliness of this BW was the worst I've ever experienced! Toilet was dirty as was the bathroom floor. I don't even think the sheets had been changed as they had a certain smell. I would never ever, ever recommend this location!!
Nice facility and staff. Clean room. Quiet. TV listing posted on desk. Wifi worked good. Front desk clerks provided recommendations on places to eat. Ate at the Italian restaurant which was extremely good.
It's right off the highway. Staff is friendly, helpful and always answer calls. Staff let's you know everything you need to know at check in. Late night check in is available. Only downside is the small parking lot.
We stayed at this location to visit family property in the area, we had made reservations thru the BW on-line system and requested an upstairs non-smoker's room with view on the green space, however, receptionist told us at check in that she could not accommodate our request because we did not book the room directly with her (instead of the on-line BW system). She gave us "the last room" available which ended up to be a smoker's room (even though the sign called it non-smoking room) on the ground level across from the gas station. We found cigarette holes burned into the comforter and the chair and footrest. The curtains were smelly and dirty and the comforters were outdated and old. We picked this hotel, as it was supposed to be the best in Minden! If this is the best you can get here, we will drive up with an RV for our next visit.
If you are lucky, Laurie will be on duty when you check in. She is friendly, helpful and cheerful - really sets the tone for a great stay. Bed was extremely comfortable and the hotel exceptionally quiet -had a great night's rest after driving 580 miles that day.
The Best Western was really nice. My husband liked that it open to the outside. Not to many decent hotels do. Everyone was very nice and the room and grounds were clean. The bed was uncomfortable to me but my husband was ok with it.
We were traveling through and this one has easy access off the interstate and also a large lot for parking trailers which was a plus for us. Our room was clean and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was the same as you find at any hotel.
We have several complaints about this hotel - none that would keep us away if we had to stay in the area in the future, but irritating ones nonetheless: The sheets were paper thin; there was no work-out area although we were told it is under construction; no soap container in the bathtub area; and breakfast was not the best.
Would have received a higher rating however under construction. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean. Value was reasonable for room. If in the area will stay again. I did not attend complimentary breakfast due to construction in the area.
PLACE IS TERRIBLE! do not ever stay here, rooms smell like a bar, water is brown and is overall a trashy best western chain. The Holiday Inn across the street is fairly new and very nice with great breakfast and very nice rooms. I should have never changed rooms
We checked in tonight. The outside temperature is 31 degrees. The room wasn't much warmer. The thermostat was set on A/C instead of heat. 30 min later the room was still not warm. The lady at the front desk said the heat should have been on in the rooms and offered another room, to which the same conditions arose. We also booked a nonsmoking room. The comforter had multiple burn holes in them as well as a few tears. There were stains in the carpet and on the ottoman. The lady at the front desk said the comforter probably came out of a smoking room. In the end, we were refunded our room costs and allowed to check out without penalty. This place needs a lot of attention, but could potentially be a nice place. The lobby was under going renovations.
I was in a daze from a 16 hour day of driving when I checked in, so I don't remember much about who checked me in or how cheerful & professional they were, which I guess is a good thing - nothing out of the ordinary excellence. I remember I slept really well, which was the most important thing I needed. The breakfast was wonderful, fueling us up for another big driving day. I recommend this hotel for a good oasis as you bomb across country!
I have used Best Western in a few locations and don't expect much from them. That is just their rep. This location is badly needing some attention. The bedspread, thin as it is, had a big hole in it. The shower had no pressure not adjustments. The carpet is starting to come apart. Now the business I was on required me to be on location at 6:30 And was 30 minutes away. I was glad to hear that breakfast was from 5:30 to 9. This would give me time to eat. However, when I was all packed up and ready to go at 5:45, the entrance was locked. A woman walked through the lobby and saw me. She held up a finger meaning it would be a "minute." I couldn't take the chance it would be longer and make me late so I just left. If they say 5:30 it should mean 5:30. Not whenever they get around to it.
Checked in,got the key, room had not been cleaned. The comforter was thrown in a corner. When brought to the attention of the front desk clerk she said that check-in actually not till 3p but online said 1p. We got there for 2:10. The room had a foul, musty odor which the clerk said was due to rooms being painted. The recliner was dirty. See the picture with comforter. That comforter was not a clean one so I put it in the chair. What should I see crawling on the floor but a bug. I'll be sleeping with 1 eye open. Wanted to speak to the manager but was told that he wouldn't return till Monday. I'll be gone by tomorrow. I WOULD NOT AND SHALL NOT STAY AT THIS LOCATION AGAIN.
We were hesitant because this motel had gotten run down and not very nice but it appears that they are trying to make improvements. It seems to have had some renovation and was cleaner. The motels are kind of pricey for the area.
This is not a new hotel and it shows it's age. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and roomy. The breakfast area is small and selection of breakfast items is the standard item. Easy access to interstate from hotel. If in the local area again I would stay at this hotel again. When staying here be sure to try the Bon Temps Deli, that is located a short way from the hotel, they have great food. Everything is home made.
We were driving back to Houston from KY and just wanted dinner and a good bed. The room was fine- clean/ good bed/ no complaints there. The food options around 8-9pm however are nonexistent. We ended up getting take-out from a nearby gas station where a chef's salad and a blt set us back 15 bucks. The desk clerk had recommended a pizza place (Rosa'a?) near by however we never found it and ended up on a bunch of one way streets trying to find our way back. That is when we decided the gas station deli food would so lol.
We were on a business trip when we got a call that our 19 year old niece had been killed in a car accident. It was a race against time to finish our business and get back in time for the wake and funeral. This motel was a God-send when we were so exhausted in our traveling. It was comfortable, quiet and we slept well Easy check in even though it was extremely late and and easy check out 5 hours later
If you are ever disappointed at a Best Western than you will not be happy anywhere. We always choose Best Western Hotels no matter what part of the country we are in. Some are better than others but they all have the most comfortable beds, great breakfast and courteous staff. You can find these things at other hotels, but not for this price. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Amazing 2 night sit tight!! Extremely obliging and exceptionally pleasant!! Rooms were spotless and pool was magnificent!!! Prescribe to anybody venturing out to Gulfport!! Strolling far off eateries, 3 minutes from goliath outlet shopping center, waterpark, 5 minutes to airplane terminal, and around 15 minutes to Naval base!!
On business out of state. Odd job and had work nights. Check out is 11 AM and check in is 3PM normally at all hotels. I got off at 8 that morning and had to be back at 7 that evening. I knew trying to check in at this time was going to be a problem. No BW where I was working. Drove to Minden, LA cause they had a BW. I explained to the lady at the desk my situation and asked to try to check in early. Got there at 9:15A. The lady at the desk did everything in here in her power to get me in that room as quickly as possible. I was in a room before noon and got plenty of rest. Nowhere but Best Western and Minden is top notch. VERY seldom if ever do I give all 10's. Minden is a 10.
General this inn was spotless and advantageous to the interstate. It was tranquil. I would stay here again if voyaging through this range overnight. There are a few restaurNts and spots to eat inside strolling separation. The eatery was incredible and the general population there were cordial.
General this lodging was spotless and helpful to the interstate. It was tranquil. I would stay here again if voyaging through this zone overnight. There are a few restaurants and spots to eat inside strolling separation. This eatery was awesome and the general population there were agreeable.
We were simply searching for a spot to spend the prior night we completed our excursion home. I would not like to spend a ton of cash, additionally needed a spot to rest serenely. This spot fit the bill. We delighted in the amicable staff and clean, upgraded room. The room was tranquil and the bed was agreeable. It was an incredible quality contrasted with different inns in the region
The rooms were a good size but not as clean as needed to be. We found a dirty sock and trash on the floor. Rooms smelled musky and needed spraying with disinfectant. We did not like the way billing was done for couples booking reservations together. If you are really desperate for a room, then you will stay here.
My significant other and I making the most of our overnight stay in Minden. The proprietors of this lodging were so amicable and kind. The nourishment was extraordinary, and the spot was so wonderful. My husband and I prescribe this Bed and Breakfast to anybody that are searching for an awesome spot to stay at in Minden.,
I enjoyed a very comfortable and expeditious experience with this hotel. I slept well with a good selection of pillow comfort levels, and the breakfast was more than satisfactory. I would stay here again for business or pleasure.
I stay two nights in Western Minden Inn hotel, and I feel very comfortable. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. The staff was very kind and helpful. I love the food at this hotel it's so delicious if in the future I have chance I will stay again at this hotel I feel so happy and peace in this hotel I must recommend thanks
OK stay - very good breakfast - Hard to get in and out of parking lot. Had to travel about 1/4 mile to get in north bound to go back toward town.. Breakfast room really small but motel room was very nice.
Clean and comfortable beds. Nice staff. Good thing this is a pet friendly hotel. I brought my dogs. I was a little bit concerned with persons who were hanging around the side door near my car early in the morning. Not sure if they were hotel guests or not. But as soon as they saw me with my dogs they left.
everybody was very friendly, the Hotel staff was very helpful in answering any questions we had. The toilet was leaking when we got there, the maintance guy got right on it and that was like around 11:00 p.m that night.
Nice, clean property located at a freeway exit/entrance. Non-smoking room was clean, bed and pillows were very comfortable. This property allows pets with a $15 pet deposit. Was pleasantly surprised that I could not hear noise from the freeway.
Website gave misleading images. Rooms and breakfast area are smaller than appearance on website. No restaurants nearby and very difficult to go into downtown from location of motel. Close to interstate and gas stations.
This property is either a holdover from another era or a stepchild in the portfolio of properties. All the rooms open directly onto the parking lot or in the case of the second floor, onto the open walkway which looks out over the parking lot, which is very small and dark in places - did not like that from a safety viewpoint. Also there was no cart available to help move our luggage The night we stayed, many workers with big noisy trucks left very early in the morning. Dining options were limited in a dry city with no sidewalks to walk anywhere - although we actually had a good meal at the cafe at the local gas station (go figure). Room decor is very dated and the mattress needs replacing. Breakfast selection is limited and not tasty, fruit was small in size, coffee was TERRIBLE. This BW was the more expensive of our trip and not worth what we paid. Certainly did not come up to the BW standards I have experienced at other locations.
Rates are average for the area. The hotel is just fat enough away from the interstate that there is not a noise problem. There is a nice lot for trucks. Rooms are satisfactory for the price. Hotel is also very easy to find and park a truck.
This is a dry town so, purchase your beverages beforehand. There is no restaurant opened within walking distance for dinner on the weekend. The room was quite large and clean. Breakfast included typical hot items.
If you are traveling down I-20 through louisiana heading West and you just can't make it to the Chateau in Shreveport then exit Minden. It will be the 2nd exit. right by the interstate. They will take care of you here with a nice comfortable room to get some rest. I was doing a job in Ruston and drove 20 miles out of the way to Minden to stay in a Best Western. I travel with my pillows and when I left I forgot them. I called them to ask if they were found and they already had them safe and secure for me when I came back through headed back to Texas. THIS is why I ONLY stay at Best Westerns.
A very nice place to stay, The staff will go the extra for you. Clean rooms, Handy location close to different places to eat, Quick access to Interstate, Breakfast is always ready and ready at the times posted,
The most important thing to me is a good nights sleep, which we always get at Best Western. Their beds are so comfortable. Plus our stay is always the best. We wouldn't stay anywhere else. Oh yes, you could possible find a cheaper hotel somewhere, but to me Best Western is worth every penny.
I had a non smoking room but think someone before had not obey the rules. But the bed was comfortable and room was clean. Breakfast was good and the manager went out of his way to help me with internet issues on my computer. This is an older hotel and the rates are a bit high for its age.
Room was clean and comfortable. The shower was awesome. A lot of oil field workers staying but was relatively quiet considering. Breakfast did not start being served earlier enough for us to eat before we had to leave in the morning. Will be scheduling future stays at this hotel.
Room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Bed was comfortable as well. Breakfast offered good choices; food was fresh and tasy. The serving area is small and cramped.with only 3 tables in seating area.
It was gross to stay here. Pets should stay at kennels and hotels should not rent rooms like here. GROSS. I sprayed lysol and helped a little, but gross. I travel a lot with work and this place will change me to stay where the pets don't. The rest of my trip was spent pet free. Please note I like animals but not inside where I sleep. Animals use the bathroom on carpets---and thats a fact. NOT FOR ME!
We requested NON-SMOKING King. The second we unlocked the door, EXTREME stale cigarette smoke smell wafted from the room and hit us in the face. We shut the door and went to front desk clerk to request another room. Same thing happened in the Queen Double offered us. We took the Queen Double because it was very late and we needed to sleep and get back on the road the next morning. We only brought the bare essentials for the night into the room so as not to stink up our possessions. Hotel bedspreads are full of holes, carpet in front of fridge is sticky. Everything about this place is OLD and dated. Hotel is overpriced. They need to gut that place and start over. The breakfast bar is excellent and up to code. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's only the building furnishings that literally need to go to the dump.
Needed 2 nights for an unexpected trip to Minden, our aging mother is in the hospital. Most hotels will discount for this as most did on our way to Minden. Only discount available were over 55. For this area and town you are limited to only 2 good hotels as the others seem to be "worker weekly stays" so you are limited on a nice place to stay and they seem to charge more due to that. Staff was friendly and helpful but rates were very high.
This hotel is not one of the top tier Best Western hotels, but it is comfortable and clean and reasonably priced, and the room has what you need. Reservation had been messed up, queen iso king (was too tired to try to get that corrected). Big drawback with WiFi, it was non-secure so that limited what you could do online, hope they do something about that.
We stayed here on our way to visit family. They were welcoming from the moment we walked in the door. They made sure we knew when breakfast began, showed us exactly where our room was located, and asking how many keys we needed. The next morning, we were greeted as we went to breakfast. We left forgetting something very important in our room. Everyone from housekeeping to the general manager made sure we received it back. We were so pleased and thankful to be staying here. We will be sure to stay here again!!! Thank you!!
