"Need to improve"

This hotel says it is ungoing renos, even with that said, they need to pay greater detail to the cleaning and upkeep of the rooms. Found that this property fell short of what I expect when staying at a Best Western.

More then one visit and always been great. Staff are friendly and are always assertive and professional. I look forward to the breakfast. Close to 401 and fuel to make things quick and simple. If the 401 is backed up simple pull off and rest or a pleasant bite to eat to wait it out.

The check in was fast and friendly service, the room was Ok as expected, staff was very nice and helpful. Hotel was in a good location, clean, never used the pool, fitness area or restaurant well at my stay.

Great place to stay in Milton, and close enough to Toronto to stay there for a comfortable, affordable stay and visit the big city. Very friendly staff, great restaurant (try the Ox tail) clean, modern rooms.

No heat in our room, no bottled water available at the front desk or in the vending machines. This seems to be a very quiet location but it needs to be kept up for all customers!!! I do realize that this COVID is casing a lot of issues…. This is still no excuse for reduced attention to details….. my bill was still the same!!! Regards Bob Macleod

Stayed there because we where selling our home the staff was great but the bathroom was gross its old not much can be done unless the tear the bathroom out fix the tub but 200 hundred a night because it was a friday Sat maybe for a Hilton not a best western

The chef at this hotel was just super awesome. The presentation of the food and the taste was exquisite!!! He was the best of Best Western!! The room was very clean and well decorated and the bed very comfortable!

Great staff and exceptionally clean room. Everything was immaculate. Easy access off the highway. Stayed two nights and even when I misplaced ny room key the staff was so kind about it. Will definitely stay here in the future.

"A good place to stay in Milton GTA."

This is a good clean place to stay. The rooms are nice and comfortable though a few light bulbs where not working and also a few power outlets. The prices are in my opinion a little bit too high in this Covid situation because of less services and access to facilities. You will be charmed by the people who work there, they are kind, polite, respectful and very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel July 31 to Aug 2, 2020. Let me start with the positive - Check in was quick,and the room was large and spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable, and everything in the room was in good working order. The state of the lobby was a little surprising (they are renovating). While I understand the logic of doing renovations while things are quiet with the Covid 19 crisis, it would have been nice to be notified. Saturday morning we showered before leaving the hotel. When we returned that evening our room had not been touched. I called the front desk the next morning and asked for towels and face cloths, coffee, and kleenex and toilet paper. I the response was 'no problem, sorry for the inconvenience'. We waited for a couple of hours but nobody brought towels or anything else we requested. After missing our breakfast get together with friends, we decided that we would have to just go to our next appointment without taking a shower. On our way out I stopped at the front desk and they handed me a bag with everything in it. I told them that I was leaving for the day and would have to pick it up when I returned. It was then that I was informed that due to the Covid 19 crisis - the housekeeping staff was not allowed to enter the rooms. I had no problem with the room not being made up daily, but since the person checking me in knew we were there for 3 nights - IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD IDEA TO LET ME KNOW THAT WHEN I CHECKED IN! I also found that one ice machine for the entire hotel was rather inadequate, and just my luck - it was broken on Sunday! I have stayed in this hotel before - and the rate that I paid before was less that this stay - and there were much better amenities those times. I understand that there are restrictions during this pandemic, but communication is not one of them. The front desk did not communicate any change in services to me - which could have avoided much disappointment and inconvenience.

"great hotel stay even during health crisis"

hotel management and staff worked well to observe social distancing and still provide great service to all hotel guests. We were given a room upgrade and extra attention when we had questions. "Excellent Stay"

It is a wonderful Best Western at Milton Ontario. The only upgrade would be in the swimming pool area. It is extremely loud in there - no insulation or sound barrier and it would be nice to add a hot tub. But it is a beautiful room, nice comfy bed.

"Comfortable, convenient stay"

The Best Western Milton is an older hotel, so don't expect a gleaming, modern look and feel: it IS a little worn around the edges. That said, the rooms and the common areas are all clean and well-maintained, and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. What we appreciated most is that the staff were without exception friendly, courteous, and professional, right from the check-in through to our leaving (after a week's stay). The location is really convenient as well. So all in all, we would recommend the hotel as the place to stay in Milton.

I love staying here. I travel with my pets and they make my stay with them so comfortable. They welcome my pets and make a big fuss over them. Its so nice that 2 big German Shepherds are made to feel at home and loved by all of the staff. We feel like part of the family.

"Beware of booking"

I have business in Milton and because of transportation issues decided to stay at the Best Western there. I called to book a room. I then went to get an Uber there only to have it declined. I don't keep a lot of money on my credit card but there should have been enough. I checked my card balance only to find that my card had been charged about $40 more than agreed on. I had also made it clear that I was only giving them my information to hold the room and that I would be paying by debit. I tried calling the hotel and no one answered. I tried Best Western customer service who could also not get through to the hotel. They also told me it was a third party who did the booking. I looked at the confirmation email and discovered I had been charged in US dollars even though I was calling from Canada to Canada. This company did not disclose they were a third party or that the charge was in US dollars. The website states that the price is $104 Canadian but I am being charged over $160. I eventually got through to the actual hotel, using the same number as I had used to book and which was the number listed as their individual hotel number. Because I could not get their without paying almost double than Uber for a regular cab I am now still in Burlington at another hotel I could walk to at a higher rate. Using what is supposed to be a hotels direct number and not disclosing you are a third party and the correct currency is fraud and the police will be called this morning.

This hotel needs a lot of "dressing up", its quite aged and certain floors had a bad smell to it. My floor was fine thank goodness and my room was nice and tidy. My co-worker had bugs on her robe and towels apparently but I don't think I had a robe in my room. She checked her bed and it was fine. The bar/restaurant was closed at 5pm or before which was not good and reasoning was because the cook didn't show up. It took way too long to check in, I couldn't believe how long and the line behind me was building up with disgruntled people having to wait as well. Would I go back? Maybe due to convenience and maybe it will get better...not sure though if I will go back to this hotel as there are others that aren't too far away.

"Desperately needs to be upgraded"

Room was clean but the decor would make your head spin. Pattern in carpet and different bold one on curtains which did not match. For a significantly lower price I would rate a star higher but definitely not worth the $$$. Breakfast not included in room rate.

I think their service was great. Due to a personal reason, I had to request an early check in and they accommodated that for me. So I am really happy with their service. I would recommend their service to any body needing a stay at the hotel. Very clean and maintained facility.

"Great rooms at affordable prices"

"Worse stay ever in a hotel!!"

Please do not go to this hotel! Be sure to have your exact credit card that you make the reservation on with you. I did not have the credit card on me as I booked through bestwestern.com. However I was told if I booked through expedia then it would be considered "prepaid" and I would not have needed the card!! The check in associate was very condenseding to the point I had to ask her to stop smiling in my delima!! I was very upset as this was a very emotional time for me. She had to call her manger on the phone twice as the first time she only verified what she told me, as there was no manager on duty and I had to speak with the manager to try and rectify. I understand there are policies in place but I was made to feel like a criminal and thief. They finally accepted the credit card on file from the booking but They advised that they would need a $100 deposit, which because the restaurant was closed o a Saturday night my husband had to go into town and find an ATM to get the cash. She could not debit from her terminal or at least did not offer to do so. Then at check out, I told her my son drank the bottle of water last night so to charge me for this but she said with a smile "oh that part of the room is complementary". I was told they had to check the room first before I could get my deposit back! I asked her, by the way the same gil from check in, if I should wait or go get breakfast? She said to go get breakfast and come back. I have NEVER had a person check my room at check out to get a deposit back! I have stayed in many hotel chains for business and leisure purposes over the years. NEVER again will I trust a BEST WESTERN experience and certainly not this Milton Hotel.

"Hotel in need of updates"

This hotel has a decent location but is in need of serious updates. The wallpaper is peeling, the bed was noisy like rusty springs sound. The bathroom was anything but enjoyable. Expected better from Best Western

Arived at The Best Western in Milton, Ontario, Canada late on a Sunday night. Was greeted by a friendly faced young man who swiftly got me processed and off to room. I don't think I've ever fallen asleep faster away from home. The bed was cozy and warm. Great experience.

My boyfriend and I stayed at this location for a friend of ours wedding, the staff was super friendly, the room was a good size, and I had a great night sleep even though I normally struggle when not in my own bed. Absolutely would go back, the restaurant in the hotel though was very squished and self serve so plan to eat somewhere else; otherwise perfect time!

"Basic but Great Staff"

Basic room but clean and tidy. Staff make up for it. Very helpful and nice to have a real restaurant attached to the hotel. Serving staff member, Janice, and cook, Ryan were great! Janice always friendly and helpful and Ryan produced come great meals. Reception staff very helpful in getting us a room with two beds when we discovered that a 'queen' sized bed is little more than a double.

Was a great stay!! The only minus was the pool was freezing. Even after being in in for a bit , it still was cold. You walk out then into a cold fitness room. If they could heat the pool it would be the perfect stay.

Stayed here for 1 night while in town for a wedding. The front desk staff were nice. The rooms were not that great, peeling wallpaper, the room smelled of mildew and mold. The TV was super small, not that we used it but most hotels have a decent size TV. We requested early check in which was barely accommodated. The location was great. Overall I would not recommend that someone stay in this hotel, there are many other options that would be better for the price.

"Horrible Horrible"

Front desk staff were pleasant and check in and check out were fine. Dog friendly room 113 was horrible Mattresses were shot and needed replacing. We all had back aches Pillows felt like they were filled with blown in sponge Sheets on bed did not fit properly Upon arrival beds looked like they'd been slept in. Linens were not crisp and taut. Second day sheets were just pulled up, not tucked in Mold in bathroom tub on tiles near ceiling Will not stay here again. Wouldn't have staid here a second night if we hadn't had a choice. For the horrendous price of $151 a night PLUS 30$ for pet fee, one expected a better class room. I've stayed in pet friendly hotels for far far less that have been better.

"Decent "

I usually stay at the two other brand name hotels in the area but neither have full restaurant/bar on site so I decided to change it up this time. This is an older hotel. Room has been party updated but not completely. The carpet was a little tired but overall room was tastefully decorated. Bed not very comfortable. Felt like it's been well used. Bath had some ugly surety wallpaper but the shower looked like it had been updated. Bedside tables had lamps with lots of outlets! Bonus for me as a regular traveler and greatly appreciated. Staff at checkin were professional and courteous.

Every person who works at this hotel - front desk, servers, cooks, and maid service makes it their priority that the guests are welcomed and accommodated! We were permitted early check in and late check out that tied into our flight schedule.....They exceeded my expectations for customer service!

"Aweful smell"

The smell was aweful. Smelt like cats pee in the lobby. When you get to the elevator it smelt like mold and so did the room. Even the towels smelt like mold. The bed was suppose to be a queen but was a double. I was not comfortable in the hotel at all. We couldn't wait to check out. So glad it was only for one night. I thought how embarrassing it is to have tourists staying here.

"Horrible hotel"

Booked at this hotel for a one night stay and two rooms and had to cancel one room... was told they wouldn't refund me but would charge me for both rooms and I could use the second room at a later date free of charge as I had already paid for it... once that day came, I forgot and therefore didn't show to my hotel room (my fault) but it was already paid for in March so I took that hit. Two days later my credit card had been charged 167$ for the room... I called and talked to the manager, Sarah, who was useless and told me that I could just come another time free of charge but they wouldn't refund me. I called back numerous times and never heard back from her. I finally called again and told her I never want to stay at her hotel ever again because of this poor customer service... I called the best western headquarters and they too, did nothing about this... totally annoyed with the Best western and will avoid EVER staying at any best western ever again. I work in customer relations and I ALWAYs make sure the customer is happy FIRST! Learn how to treat your customers properly! If I could rate them less than a one star, I would!

Check In was great, however this place was very small and the rooms not overly clean. I also found the pricing very expensive for a best western. I went for my brothers wedding, and they assured him as long as they booked 20+ rooms they would be entitled to a free shuttle too and from the wedding venue. We booked over 30 rooms and were told the shuttle left at 4pm, and the wedding started at 4pm. The hotels “solution” was to ask the wedding to “wait”. Not professional at all. Really made brother and his new wife pretty upset.

"very disappointed"

We just spent the weekend at this hotel and will mostly never go back. the room was ok but very dated the wall paper in the room is falling off the wall the fan in the bathroom did not work. we were there for a wedding. we made our reservations almost a year ago. we reserved 3 room and when we called due to having to cancel one room due to medical reasons, they had no record of our reservations. then they did find our reservations and got us sorted out. but we talked to other that were staying there as well and they told us they had called to check their reservations and were told they did not have any despite having reservation numbers these people ended up having to drive home due to no room. and others in our party had rooms but could not get into them as promised because they had not been cleaned and ended up being late to the wedding as they were told there was nothing that could be done. We even offered to leave our luggage at the front desk and let hotel staff put our stuff in the room for us. but we were told that they were not allowed to do that. meanwhile other people came in and were given rooms right away Saturday morning members of our party went down for breakfast we all ordered everyone got PART of their breakfast but some were missing toast others were missing bacon. when they asked where the remainder of the food was. they said sorry it will be right out 45 minutes later it finally came but by that time everyone had to leave we talked to the lady in charge about it and asked for a refund and she told us there was nothing she could or would do. we should have known better and gone to McDonalds for breakfast on Sunday but we decided to give it another try and we just wanted to get packed up and get on the road. we placed our order but was told they had run out of premeal bacon (how can you run out of bacon for breakfast. we also ordered coffee it was brought to the table but no cream or mike we had to ask for cream and about 10 minutes later the girl came back and told us they were out of cream Again how do you run out of cream at breakfast. we ended up asking the people at the next table if they had any extra cream. when our breakfast did come the 6 yes 6 home fries, we got were so salty you could not eat them anyway I guess that is why they only gave you 6 home fries. then when we were checking out they tried to charge us an extra $400 and we were not the only ones 4 or 5 other couples we spoke to on our way out told us the same thing after a heated discussion with the clerk at the desk they finally reversed the $400 as they could not explain what it was for(the same as the other couples seems they just wanted to try and make extra money and hoped you would not notice.

"Good value"

The King bed room and the two Queen room we had were fine. Rooms and hotel were clean and appeared well maintained overall. There were some obvious signs of wear and tear, particularly an armchair in the Queen room with a rip in the upholstery and the stuffing coming out, and the bathroom with a few stained corners. But we slept well on a confortable bed and really, other than these mainly cosmetic or minor things it's really a decent place, not quite a Very Good but better than Average. Staff were courteous and pleasant. Lots of parking space. Decent wifi. There is a resturant in the hotel building, must be affiliated, and there was some kind of discount for guests - but we didn't try it out. Prices on menu looked reasonable. I'd stay again.

I stayed one night for a business engagemenet. I checked in early, left and arrived back late. Great service checking in, pleasant staff and easy process. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. I didn't like the noisy air conditioner but (hooray!) the window actually opened and i got to enjoy the summer air instead of the a/c. I didn't get to check out the restaurant but when I left in the morning it was busy.

Rooms were tired. Service was poor. Breakfast was not worth the additional cost. When asked at check if manager was present and why, the front desk clerk laughed when I said I had a poor experience. Manager called to find out why I was unhappy and promised to follow up the same day. No follow up and it's been 4 days.

"brief stay but pleasant"

We were only here overnight and had a lot of things to cram into our time in Milton so our time spent at the hotel was very brief. What time we were there though was satisfying. The room was clean, the desk service prompt and efficient and the couple of special requests we had were quickly taken care of. Would stay again.

Friendly staff, clean hotel, very comfortable stay. Temple Bar British Pub has the best homemade burger! Staff were so welcoming and friendly. Chef Brandon is a real gem! Thoroughly enjoyed our burger for lunch and eggs Benedict for breakfast....will definitely be back!

"Location doesn't make up for the dissapointment"

Came here to stay on a business trip, and with only two men we decided to save some money and book one room with two queens. We did this on the best western website. However, when we arrived we got a room with a King Bed, and the receptionist told us that they actually are never able to see the room specifics that are booked.....sorry what?? On their own website they can't see what patrons book? Anyways they had no two bed rooms left so one of us had to sleep on the couch. The front desk rep told us by giving us a couch it was an 'upgrade' for free. Thank you? Very disappointing. This hotel also feels a little creepy and could maybe use a little spruce up to at least seem a little more cheerful. I felt safe, but can see how some others guests reported that when I read reviews before. Room was clean no issues there, restaurant/bar looked good but did not go. With a location SO IDEAL to the highway and proximity to Toronto I feel this hotel can make a few minor process improvements and do very well.

"Milton Ontario Canada Vacation 2018/19"

Decent hotel. Stayed for 10 nights with my wife and youngest son. Food decent. Not too far away from Toronto or Niagara Falls. 5 min Cab ride to GO Station which connects to most places. Hotel itself clean and tidy. Friendly helpful staff, rooms cleaned everyday.

"creepy hotel"

Just up on entering the hotel, it felt so creepy and it continued to be this way even inside the room, I just did not feel safe at all. It didn't help that the room door was old and bruised. I was supposed to stay there for 4 nights with my family, we ended up staying for one night paying extra and checking out early the next morning.

"Business stay"

This is a great location, directly off of 401. The staff was friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. My room had a microwave and small refrigerator. I was surprised by the very nice exercise room. There is a decent restaurant attached which gives a 10% discount for Best Western guests.

"Close to Toronto Premium Outlet"

I'm staying here because it is just off the 401. I have to drive to Toronto Premium Outlet for business it is 2 exits from the hotel. The hotel staff took extra care when I needed help with a few directions and were very helpful. The room is a business room for one and clean. The Temple bar inside the lobby was good and the travellers who were at the bar were friendly too. I enjoyed my stay.

"Staying in the executive tower was excellent"

The receptionist was a nice, professional woman. We stayed in a larger room with a Queen bed and a pull-out couch in what they referred to as the Executive Tower of the hotel. We arrived quite early and they were still able to let us get into our room right away. We were very pleased with our stay. The room was spotless and didn't have any parts in poor repair, the room decor was nice, and the bathroom seemed updated and was nice and bright. We were not bothered by any noise from the hallway during our stay. There was a bit of highway noise but nothing bothersome. The room climate control worked fine. It's great and essential having that mini fridge and microwave in the room since I haul my healthy foods/drinks with me wherever I go. Didn't have an opportunity to try the restaurant or breakfast this particular time. The hotel is good value for the price, older but updated, at the edge of the Greater Toronto Area, right off the 401, easy access to Hwy 25 as well, and not a far drive from a Hwy 407 on ramp either. Lots of big rig truckers stay here, as well as other types of travellers as well. We will be back for sure, and really enjoyed our stay!

"Great Prices and Excellent Staff"

I have stayed at this hotel about 3 or 4 times now. The staff is excellent. On the one occasion I had a travel voucher for a certain $$ off my stay. When I checked out I hadn't really paid attention to my invoice. We went into the restaurant for breakfast and the girl at the front desk came in and gave me another bill with the voucher amount taken off. They could have easily left it as was, I would have never noticed the difference however they cared enough to be honest. Bravo to the staff - kind, happy, friendly and honest! Our rooms have always been clean and we have been upgraded as well without asking. I love this place and how I am treated each time I stay.

"Great prices and restaurant"

we had just finished a stay at the best western in Cornwall, Ontario. A place that is so friendly, clean and with wonderful restaurant food I could actually live there. We drove on to milton, Ontario to spend the night and were abhorred at the condotion of best western we stayed in. We had to stay there because it allowed dogs and we couldn't find a different one that dod. First of all the place smelled. We got to our room and it smelled like smokers had stayed there. The switch plate for the lamps in the room were grimy. (Pic) I marched back to the desk with my trusty phone that had pictures of what I was talking about and the older blond woman with short hair just looked at me like I was really being a pain, but sent a girl with some wet whipped to the room to "clean" the lights. They were no better than before. Also, there was such a shortage of electrical outlets they had extension cords strung behind the bed. I walked down to the inhouse restaurant. The current daily features were on a sign outside the entrance door that was open. I walked in and was told the restaurant was closed. Another woman walked in at the same time I did and was also told the same thing. We asked where there was another restaurant close by. They said Kelsey's, and told us it too was closed. We ended up going out to a great pub for dinner and on the way back...guess what, kelsey's was not closed! The condition of the hallways of the hotel were horrible. When I asked the woman at the desk how the two best western hotel could be so different, she shrugged her shoulders and said "different owners". I would sleep in my car rather than stay here again!

"First Impressions Mean A Lot"

Arrived at the hotel that was booked through a booking agent that my daughters hockey team uses when we are at away tournaments. I think this is the norm for most hockey teams. When my daughter and I first entered the lobby we were greeted by a less than enthusiastic woman working behind the counter. Right away I felt as though we were inconveniencing here some way by coming in at that time....even though there was nobody else lined up. I was charged $30 more per night than what I had booked for with no apology at all. The lack of customer service skills in this woman was quite outstanding. When we got to our room I did like that you could see a nice big oak tree from the window and it seemed to be clean and in good shape. More towels would have been nice to have. Hand towels hung up beside the sink too for washing your hands. Do I think this place is worth $154.99 a night? Not a chance!!! For the $124.99....sure...but even then you may want to screen your employees that work on the front desk and are the first impression of Best Western Milton. Just my 2 cents..

Stopped here for the night on our way from Chicago area to Quebec city, it is a very clean hotel with nice rooms, and reasonable prices. The staff is friendly. We were very happy with the room. I must say though, if you plan on staying here, make sure you have a credit or debit card to pay for your room, if you use cash, they don't give the exchange rate, it is dollar for dollar.

"Good place to stay"

The BW Milton provides a clean, secure and friendly place to stay. The desk staff are efficient and personable. They are very responsive to guest requests and quick to resolve any issues or answer questions. There is an on site pub/restaurant and fast access to highways. The area is served by a number of other restaurants. Rooms are well maintained and quiet.

"Best hotel ever"

This is by far the best place to visit. The staff is awesome and goes out their way to accommodate to all of the guest. Amber, Sara, Carrie, and mrs. Darlene are very wonderful hostess. Workout room, indoor pool, bar/restaurant are places inside the hotel are great places to go to and relax and have fun.

Our experience was wonderful, we went to Canada for caribana a d did enjoy ourselves, although the hotel was about an hour away, the staff help us with renting a car because there is no shuttle bus. Overall, it worked out well for us and we get to know Milton Canada.

"Not a great hotel for the price"

Checked into the Best Western. It was a last minute decision to travel to Toronto so did not have a lot of choice of rooms. The Hotel looked quaint from the outside and the staff was friendly. Got down the hallway (room on 1st floor) The hallway was stinky and musty. Got into the room which was incredible small and cramped and it was very hot and smelly. Got the air conditioner going which helped but the unit was very loud. Closed the curtains and the curtains were hanging off the rod. The bathroom was so small that the toilet was so close to the shower that the shower curtain was in the way of the toilet. Very stingy on towels and toiletries. The bed was very small and the pillows were a nightmare, they were very small and felt like they were overused and flimsy. Not a nice experience so far. We had read on the Best Western website that breakfast was included and it was a last minute booking we just sucked it up. In the hotel there was a letter on the desk stating that they had a pub in the hotel and the hours said it was open to 11 pm. I had a friend meet me at the pub at 8 and was told the kitchen was closing also they were closing at nine and we were pressured to get out at 9. Very rude. Finally got to bed and there were so many bright lights in the room from the microwave and an emergency light that reflected in the room that it was hard to get to sleep and because the curtains wouldn't close properly we kept seeing light go flashing by. The bed was ok not great. Got up in the morning went to get breakfast was told that the website was for other hotels not that one. The whole experience felt like a bait and switch experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Upon arriving I had spoken to the manager Sara about getting 3 rooms but 2 had to be adjoining because my friends were traveling with small children and they are a large family. She said this was no problem and even sent me an email confirming room numbers. They arrived at 3 which was check in time and the rooms were given away so the family had to split up. This was very upsetting as I had it in writing that the rooms were assigned. The people at check in were completely unhelpful. Don't think they knew what they were doing. Rooms were old and musty. Bathrooms are tiny and our bedroom window didn't lock and we were on the ground level. Called front desk and no one even answered. It was 5pm. Pool was clean so kids had fun. No one was using so this was great. Bathroom was somewhat clean. Hair in shower. Hall smelled of weed. We got a noise complaint which was odd considering we had our 5 year old sleeping in the room with us. Just 3 adults chatting. all of us were given a discount which was nice. Not too bad but probably won't be back.

Upon arriving we immediately noticed some renovating had been done. Had a bad experience here last year , (with noisy wedding party down the hall) was hesitant about staying here again...This time we had a room on the 4th floor, had a quiet and restful sleep. Also noticed property has been spruced up! Only 1 minor complaint, lumpy pillows. Other than that we were very pleased this time. Keep up the good work!

I recently had my wedding and used this hotel myself and for our out of town guests. They were so great to work. Staff accommodated every request, organized my transportation to the wedding, printed out transportation schedules and handed it to guests upon check in, promptly replied to every email, and even decorated my room when my aunt wanted to make it more romantic. I specifically want to give Sara, the hotel wedding coordinator, a shout out to express my great gratitude for making the experience stress free!!!! The rooms themself, including the bridal suite, were spacious and very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

I rarely stay at Best Western, however having stayed at a few in the past, this is by far the BEST, Cleanest, and somewhat renovated BW I've stayed at. I stayed twice in the past month and my first say was on the first floor room #401 and my second stay I requested the 4th floor and was given room #403. I will be staying here again near the end of the month and hoping I get one of these rooms on this floor - as I'm not sure if the other rooms or floors are as nice. The staff was pleasant and polite when I checked in and the rooms clean. My only recommendation is to have an extra tissue box in the room, not just in the bathroom. The only issue I've noticed in all the Best Western's are the TV quality across all of them seem to be extremely poor, faded and blurry. I recall bringing this to the attention to the Best Western in Brampton and they stated it was their connection. However, I noticed the same issue in the Milton - Although I did not let this ruin my overall experience, Best Western should seriously look into why their TV's are such poor quality..

Stay anywhere else. The price in both cash and rewards points is obscene. The staff is unhelpful and unknowledgeable. Used to be a Best Western Plus, but no longer. Easy to see why. Room smelled of urine!

Free parking.The staff were polite and check in was fast. When we walked in our room it smelled like cleaning product. You can see all the seams of wall paper coming away from the wall all around the room. (See attached pictures) The white curtains were yellow. The bathroom wall had mold, water stains or humidity stains.(see pictures). It was gross. The tub and sink were clean but top grouting was brown. 3 people in the room and only gave us 2 towels. Had to go to front desk to ask for 1 more. The bed seemed very old and extremely soft.The one chair was so stained and dirty. The ceiling had a layer of grey dust on it hanging off the stucco. The fire sprinkler on the ceiling was coated with dust. Ridiculous. I would never recommend this hotel.There was a snow storm over night. Staff never bothered to shovel at the front door. The pool was nice and busy. I'm surprised this is a chain hotel. The room was like a cheap dirty motel. Nothing Best about this place.

We chose this hotel off the Internet as it was very close to where we needed to be for four days and had a reasonable price. The facility is newish, clean and fully equipped. The bed and furniture were decent, and room spacious. The hotel has almost all amenities, including conference, gym and rooms and a restaurant. We did not eat in-house as there were Tim's, McD's, Swiss Chalet and many other eateries within a five minute drive. Even though the hotel is very close to the 401, it was quiet and dark for sleeping. Friendly desk staff. Overall, recommended if you want a decent business/tourist hotel.

This location is the poorest Best Western Plus ever. We are Diamond Members of B/W. This hotel is not as clean as you would like, the rooms are small, and in serious need of upgrades. Lamps and desks are not setup to charge your devices. The coffee maker had to be set on the floor to reach an outlet. There was no bed skirt on the box spring. There was a large crack in the wash basin. The grill of the A/C was shattered. There's more too.

I am then usually too tired to trek home so we stay at this hotel.The location is great. Wish the restaurant was open earlier in the morning because we leave before 7am. But we do get dinner there.

Nothing special was close to wedding venue. Our room was on ground floor across from ice machine and vending machine, therefore noisy. Sink was outside bathroom in a cramped corner and no closet to hang our clothes, just a coat rack/pole. fridge wasn't very cold to keep pop cold had to use ice.

What I experienced was an ok, sort of, stop in a sterile environment. My room was small, unpleasantly air conditioned but clean. Staff were helpful but although the room was paid for, they insisted on a $100 temporary lien against my card. Not what I expected from Best Western plus.

We stayed one night on Aug.19th, a group of guests arrived at their rooms at 3:30 AM being extremely loud in the hallway and in their room. We happened to be in the next room. They kept us up until 5am. They were also trying to open connecting door! There were several complaints from other guests made to front office. Maybe this group of people should have been placed on the top floor...I will never stay here again!!!!

The hotel is a old. But it has been well kept and very nicely updated. The room is comfortable and large. The people at the hotel are very friendly and helpful. The location is good. It is right off the highway. I recommend it to people who want a comfortable place to stay for the night.

Nice a little out of the way place, directions not as clear. Need Connectors; synchronicity. Can get here? how? need options. Go Transit, Greyhound, Taxi, Uber, or Driving. Whatever options you have to make it easier for out of town guests such as myself and half of the wedding party.

We had a room on the 4th floor. It was very clean and the staff were accommodating. The whole hotel was well maintained. We had a room for our wedding night and the night before so the bridesmaids could all stay with me.

"Good hotel"

Clean, quiet, reasonably-priced motel along side the 401 highway. Everything working and as expected of a Best Western with fridge, microwave, hairdryer, etc. Unfortunately there was no fan in the bathroom so the mirror was useless after a bath/shower. But, on a good note, there is a full length mirror just outside the bathroom door. Attached restaurant is a bit overpriced for the food and service, but clean and convenient. There are many chain restaurants just around the corner as well. All in all, a good overnight location before heading into, or on the way out of, Toronto.

No free coffee in the lobby, no free breakfast, not enough outlets for devices in the room. The coffee maker had to be put in the bathroom to plug it in. The staff was very pleasant and there was a lounge in the building, to get a drink, or food, which is why they didn't offer free stuff. However, in other BW that had a restaurant in the building I was given a voucher for a free breakfast. Not having free morning coffee in the lobby is a problem for me.

I stayed here because it was next to the Teatro banquet hall where a family wedding was taking place. I would not stay here again. We were checked in to room 109. I immediately noticed things were not great - carpet dirty, bed linens ripped, random piece of wood nailed to the wall, spider webs on ceiling....but it got unacceptable when I went to take a shower and upon spreading out the mat folded on the tub discovered it was not only wet but had a fresh bloodstain on it. The front desk staff were horrified and changed our room...the new room was better but the carpet was still not clean and it smelled like somebody had dumped an ashtray into the air conditioner. You can tell this motel was not always non-smoking. This place is more a cheap roadside motel than a national chain's upscale property. Avoid.

I would NOT recommend this hotel. If you have to visit the Milton area, look at staying in Mississaugua. The on-site restaurant has gone down hill. There are a limited number of offerings for dinner (4), and a limited number of offerings for breakfast (4). The descriptions of the offerings differ from what you actually get.

The standard room is a bit small but we were only there one night. The restaurant had reopened that day. The soup and burger were surprisingly good. The staff were friendly, fun and made our rather late meal a really good time.

The Milton Best Western is a good hotel for an overnight stay. Good value for the money. The staff definitely make this above average. They were helpful and so pleasant. The room is typical of a small hotel of this age. It is adequate. The window opened and that was a bonus but it was a half window split with the room beside so small. The room was clean except for the hair in the bathtub. Most people don't notice this because they shower but it is important to me. I requested a room on the quieter part of the hotel and we never heard the outside noice or from the hallway. All in all a good night with comfortable beds and a variety of pillows

"Location good, but room additions necessary"

My husband and I needed a night close to the highway for easy access. The reviews were fair, so gave it a try...and actually it was a busy night and we got the last room. Front desk was helpful at check-in, but the immediate appearance of the room was dark and dated. The bathroom looked great..obviously an upgrade with white in predominance. However, with no grab bar, and a slippery plastic surface I would not use the tub. It needs a gab bar or a slip is too easy!The bed was soft, and maybe that needs an upgrade too (within the "Plus" Best Western designation).

"Excellent customer service"

Was able to check in early. Got to my room and it wasn't made up. Called the front desk and they immediately moved me to an upgraded room. Front desk staff came and took my bags for me with profuse apologies. Upon check out the next morning, the same front desk staff member was working and she called me by name before I even approached the desk. I was very impressed as the hotel was full with three weddings all staying there. Again the staff was full of apologies for the original room not being ready. Very attentive to customers and ensuring that they are pleased with their stay.

Have stayed at this location about a dozen times over last few years. Consistent service and room quality make me a repeat customer. Lots of free parking. Close to 401 so can hear some road noise but not a big deal to me. Restaurant has changed hands and haven't had a meal there lately so can't comment.

We made reservations a few days in advance for 2 rooms with 2 beds each - 7 people. In the morning of arrival I called ahead and asked for joining rooms with a door in between rooms. I was told that this was not possible on such short notice. On arrival we were told that they had gotten us joining rooms but no doors in between. One room was ready at 3 in the afternoon but the other one would not be ready for another few hours, - they were deep cleaning it!. We got it at 6 and it was filthy! Not recommend this motel at all!

First time staying at this hotel and will not be returning! VERY outdated hotel. Although they have tried to "attempt" to upgrade the lobby it looks like a cheap and half assed attempt to me. My room was soooooo small, the bathroom you cannot move in and is very outdated, although the shower had been updated. The carpet in my room had MANY large stains as did both ancient chairs. The cherry on top is that while lying in bed I kept smelling vomit! I did not notice this smell upon entry into the room but every time I lay my head down the smell was overwhelming. Lastly the walls are paper thin so all noise in adjacent rooms and the hall can be heard. The staff is the only redeeming quality this establishment has to offer. They provide great customer service and are very polite.

The room was very, very clean, which is extremely important to us. For that reason alone we would consider staying here again however, there is nothing complimentary. Coffee is available in the room but has only coffee whitener, no real cream. There wasn't even lotion in the bathroom, which disappointed as I did not bring any assuming there would be some. We arrived Christmas Eve around 2:00 and looked forward to a cocktail in the bistro before heading out to a family get-together but was told it was closed (even though we noticed that the sign outside was flashing "open" when we were leaving the hotel). We usually stay elsewhere at a similar rate where we have been spoiled with wonderfully brewed coffee 24/7 and complimentary breakfast. Our alternate location gives us a feeling of home away from home, which we did not get here.

"Going down hill"

I understand this is a "working man's" hotel but have been coming for years and it has started to allow things that it did not in the past. Common to get a room that has been smoked in, guys out back (and sometimes front) having beers at picnic tables or smoking a joint, carpets in halls dirty from muddy boots etc... They have great staff that try hard but management needs to support them with enforcing even minor rules. Rooms are clean and staff friendly or rating would be lower.

Our smoking policy is taken very seriously and our staff are doing regular inspections of the hotel to ensure there is no smoking in the rooms and that the hallways are clean and well maintained. We have implemented and are strongly enforcing a $250 charge if there is a sign of smoking in the rooms. We have a lovely newly renovated area with tables that is away from the building should our guests wish to smoke cigarettes. The consumption of alcohol and drug use in public areas is prohibited and we will make every effort to control this. Thanks for your kind words about our staff and the cleanliness of the room. Needed to find a place to stay over night prior to our vacation in Mexico. Considering the Airport Hotels are sooooo! exspensive. This was just 25 minutes away. $ 136 for the night and we got a beautiful suite. Very clean with great bed-top notch They have a restaurant on site but has weird hours 6-10 thats 6 pm to 10 pm ? Kelseys is next store if your hungry. All in all a great nights stay. stayed November 3rd

"Wouldn't be my choice"

We had an emergency in this town and had to stay at a hotel. we were glad they had availability but were a little less impressed when before we even got to the room the hallway stench left us guessing the whole way to our room. When we were in the room we found tons of dried nuts and food on the floor along the bedside and by the tv unit. There was a dead ladybug under the pillow of the one bed, a dead (thankfully dead) bedbug in the second drawer of the tv unit, stained curtains. The chairs are also all torn up. this place definitely needs a serious update and better clean! The plugs were so used that everything we attempted to plug in just slid right out, the cable for the television was falling apart so we could not watch much tv unless it was super fuzzy. The restaurant wasn't open until dinners only which is difficult when you're just wanting to stay in without heading out just for a quick bite in the morning or afternoon. We were all a little surprised over how incredibly small the room was as well. Overall pretty disappointed. as a small plus the front counter staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cleanliness and comfort are what we pride ourselves in, so this is certainly far from acceptable to us. Reports of bug activity are taken very seriously and reported to our pesticide company immediately. "Certainly not "Best""

Very basic hotel, but OK. Room was very small, especially the closet. Certainly did not like the Best Western policy of taking a $200/night deposit on the room. No other hotel that I have stayed at has asked for that. Restaurant had only a very limited menu.

"Good service but health concern"

The service desk was very polite and friendly. My colleagues and I were staying here overnight for a conference which was taking place the next morning. We reserved two adjoining rooms. When we walked into our bedrooms the smell of Mildew/Must was very strong. I have always had asthma primarily as a kid though, so I never carry an inhailer with me anymore...being in this room for 10 minutes I had great difficulty breathing. When I looked closely at the edge of the carpet in the bedroom, it appeared to have mildew or incredibly built up dust all along the walls. I called the front desk and requested moving to a different room...the staff at the desk were happy to accommodate. Our new room smelled much better but still musty. In addition to the air quality in our original room, there were visible handprints all 4 of our headboards (which looked greasy) and the sheets on one of the beds appeared unchanged and due to the lack of housekeeping on duty at 8PM, we were provided with sheets to change the bedding ourselves.

"Restful sleep"

The staff were nice enough to allow us to check in early to our room. A very spacious room with a king bed, microwave/mini-fridge and coffee maker. Sarah, at the front desk, was very welcoming. We arrived at the hotel for just before 2 p.m., unfortunately, the attached restaurant was not open for lunch/dinner service, until the following morning when breakfast could be purchased (not part of the room fees).

"not a Best western plus"

The place was ok for an overnight but needs serious updating. To plug in both our phones we used extension cords! No lamp on one side of the bed because of lack of plugs. The bathroom was questionalble with cleanliness since we found a used bar of soap by the sink and the counter looked unclean. This is not a plus restaurant in our opinion.

We stayed here for two nights this Thanksgiving weekend for a friend's wedding. Rooms and amenities were fine, restaurant has weird hours, but the real reason this place gets 5 stars is for their staff! There was a woman at the front desk (Alina I believe her name was?) who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and most especially, I want to recognise Moody. This Thanksgiving, I am thankful for Moody! Talk about going above and beyond - Moody literally went out of his way for me when I realized I'd left my bathing suit there. Way exceeding any expectations I've ever had of hotel staff - Moody is awesome!

Quiet and friendly hotel located near highway 401 at Milton. Which is half way from Toronto and Niagara Falls. Lots of big trucks on the roadways and maybe it's the industrial area of Ontario. Restaurants and convenience stores and a McDonald about a few minutes drive. There's also a Go Station ( mass transit) heading to Toronto and beyond.

Short and sweet this isn't too bad. Bed and room were comfortable. Service was ok. DO NOT each the fish and chips. Or eat the chips but good luck with the fish. It was gray and tasteless when the batter fell off. The fitness room was not well maintained. Treadmill was stuck on an incline and could not get it to drop. There was an error on the screen when you tried to adjust. The universal weight system had issues and could not use it. The plastic coating around the pulley was stripped and the cables were jammed in the wheel mechanism. The pin would not line up with the holes in the weight stack. Apparently I was the first person to actually have one of the staff come into the room and physically see it. I would have to rate the hotel as clean, but average.

I really enjoyed the stay here near 401 but there is no noise. There are many restaurants in area and natural surroundings is right around corner. I loved the quiet setting and the ability to drive to Rattlesnake Point and other attractions. Would definitely recommend this place.

Check in was easy, the "superior room" has a sofa and king size bed. When I made the reservation I thought the superior room would have been the same as a superior room at the Best Western, Fredericton, NB where I have also stayed. In Fredericton the sofa is in a separate part of the room and there is a door between the space where the sofa is and the bed itself, almost like a suite. The king size bed was very hard. I felt like I was sleeping on a board. In fairness, I have a memory top bed which is softer. The two colleges I was traveling with enjoyed their beds, so it is not a criticism of the beds, just a statement the beds are hard, The breakfast is not complementary, as it is in some Best Western hotels. My colleges and I had breakfast there the first of our three day stay. DO NOT bother to have breakfast there. It was not busy and when we were served our breakfast, the toast was like cardboard and the eggs and bacon were cool, not even warm! The server was great, but the food lacked... Not sure where the disconnect is... Parking is free and the hotel itself is quiet. I would recommend the hotel, but skip the restaurant/bistro.

I had never further east than Regina. I have always wanted to see Ontario and just recently had the opportunity to visit on a business trip. Flying in from western Canada, I was treated to an amazing view of the great lakes and the country side. I now understand why Ontario is called "LAKE COUNTRY". From lakes to open meadows, I had a spectacular view from my middle seat on a West Jet direct flight from Kelowna, BC. Landing at Pearson Airport is a tad overwhelming, but the people - their ID badges denoting employers - were helpful, friendly and informative. I finally reached my destination at the Best Western, Milton and was greeted by extremely courteous and helpful staff. From what I understand, the hotel has undergone a few changes. The lobby is very bright and clean and new. My room was clean and provided all I needed for a business trip - coffee pot, microwave and fridge....of course, bed bathroom and tv. The Bistro offered home cooked meals at a mid range price, all very yummy. The bartender/waitress/server/hostess was a pleasure - she is very personable and takes the opportunity and interest in her guests. I did have the opportunity to meet the owner and his wife, although I did not know their "title" at the time of meeting, I had enjoyed a pleasurable conversation with them discussing Niagara Falls and other places I had mentioned I would like to visit. The town of Milton is very charming, with heritage preserved each way you look. My only regret is that this was a business trip and I did not get to explore further. Bon voyage!

We were looking for a room for the night and stopped at the Best Western Plus in Milton, Ontario. A young lady named Alina was working on the desk and when I asked for a room she informed me they were booked full. She was very kind and called different hotels to see if there were rooms in the area, nothing was available. Alina was very friendly and could tell we were very tired, she said let me check our rooms again. She ended up being able to fit us in for the night. I hope her manager sees this review because Alina went above and beyond the call of duty and you are very lucky to have an employee like her. We got to our room and we were very pleased with the room. It was a very nice modern room, very clean and reasonably priced. If you are in the area and need a room I would definitely recommend this hotel. Also I hope you are lucky enought to meet Alina.

"Terrible management"

Owed room credit since April. Owner/director/manager Nash failed continually to oversee credit expedited. Not return calls. Had to chase her. Does not uphold BEST WESTERN standards, nor basic communication or customer service skills. Lied saying credit issued twice. What a complet failure and display of public relation skill set. Pathetic Only ended up here cause Holiday Inn had bed bugs. Our room had broken bathroom door and beer caps and coke bottle at side of bed which kids stepped on during night. Worst management response ever had!!!!!!

"Worst Hotel Experience"

Arrived at the hotel was booked solid! Got my room wanted to refresh, sink and toilet weren't draining properly. Called the front desk no answer. Tried 3 different times, different numbers - nothing! Went to the front desk had to wait till attendant finished with customer. No other front desk service personnel in sight. Asked for maintenance to come to the room. I told "l'm new here and alone other than restaurant personnel". Ok that doesn't make any sense with a sold out hotel. Asked for a plunger and was told he would bring one to the room. Went back to the room and waited, and waited, and waited. Back to the front desk I go and demand a plunger. He's not sure where it would be. We eventually find one. I tried and tried unsuccessfully to unblock the line. Went back to the front desk and asked for another room - NO sold out! If I could have gone elsewhere I would have but everything else in the area was sold out as well. I told the service desk person to call his manager where ever they may be. The manager whomever that may be did eventually return the call and eventually agreed to send a maintenance person. That would be another 45 minutes to an hour before anyone would show up. It's now been a 3 hour ordeal and I wasn't about to wait in the room again and or eat at this place so I went out for finer at 9.30 pm! When I got back both the sink and toilet were clear. I was a big Best a Western Hotel chain fan before this experience. I will be extra careful in the future. I'll never stay at this hotel again nor will anyone from our large organization once I'm done. Best Western Plus - NOT EVEN CLOSE!

"Comfort but no Service"

With this hotel be prepared to hear NO! For a hotel that experience lots of wedding groups, it is very ill prepared to accommodate them. Example: - early check in - I had to miss the wedding ceremony since it starts at 3pm and I could not check in till after 3pm to shower and change. - help with baggage's - I had to be my own bell girl to carry all the luggage's to our room - customer service - nil - still waiting for a HELLO, how are you? Or even a smile - do not expect breakfast with your reservation especially for the price you will be paying you will think you would - rate is based on per person and of course beds are too small to accommodate 4 people in a room - be careful with room keys, ours opened a different room which I mistaking did...sorry Beds were comfortable I have to admit and they did not skimp on the pillows. Room was clean. Love the fact that there was a coffee maker in my room along with a microwave and fridge. Hairdryer as well as iron & board was included. Shuttle was provided to attend the wedding but needs to be booked by the bride & groom ahead of time. Otherwise, front desk is not very helpful. Then again they did not know what ACTA stood for (FYI - Association of Canadian Travel Agencies) and they are in the Hospitality field. All in all, it was not bad for a short stay

Stayed here two separate times. First night the room was spacious and clean. A little outdated by decent. Second visit, I swear I got the worst room in the hotel. So small I could barely get my baggage through past the microwave stand. Awkward room set up. Light switch is light up like a beacon when you're trying to sleep. Air conditioning wasn't cold. And the bed... By far the WORST PART. Springs hitting me everywhere. Definitely the worst hotel stay I've had in a long time. Was waiting for the BW survey to come so I could tell them... But haven't received it. Might have to email corporate. Guaranteed if someone from corporate stayed here to check in on the quality, they'd shut it down to renovate.

We were staying here for a wedding nearby. I have to say that the hotel could definitely use some refurbishing. The rooms, apart from being incredibly small, were shabby and dim. We didn't receive any cleaning services during our stay either. While the front staff were quite pleasant, the overall hotel needs a make over big time.

My daughter and I stayed 3 days and 2 nights and how many times we got a hello from the front desk staff, every time we came in.... Zero. I discovered tons of cigarette butts everywhere, while taking my dog for walks, I was afraid my dog will get sick. I found only one outside garbage can for the entire hotel. The standard room was so tiny in the ground floor that I felt like I was inside a shoe box, bathroom was so tiny too. Front lobby was dark, outdated and not welcoming at all. Bed was comfy and room was clean. I won't stay there again ????

Staff were friendly and helpful, bed was comfortable, room was quiet but you could easily hear the guests next door when they spoke. There is a nightlight built in underneath the light switch as you walk in that is so bright you could land a plane by it. It lit up the entire room. So either bring a really good eye mask or duct tape to cover it up because there is no way to switch it off. I let the front desk know so hopefully they rethink the feature going forward.

From the time of booking till checkout, great experience, I took the red eye from Calgary, arriving at the hotel 7 am.. Quickly & efficiently checked in, Tyler at the front desk is amazing, I actually choose this hotel by speaking to him by phone a few days earlier, very friendly , accomidating, well spoken, amazing personality, advised me of the restaurant on the property, which was fabulous, again a wonderful girl in the dining room Greta, very friendly & accomidating , suggesting things to do & see in the area, actually she drove in to the Factory outlet mall, a great experience, the staff at this hotel make all the difference, the room was very clean and well appointed, quiet & comfortable, thank you for a great stay, in Milton.

This is by far not the best stay... the hotel was hot and stank like feet upon entry. Seemed dated. The front desk staff especially Carrie rocked! She was sweet and so kind. The restraint on site was closed the evening we came... that sucked. The pool area was not clean and the pool water had bugs... and was frigid!!!!!! The room was a good size for the family of 4. Not enough towels as there were non in the pool area. Not enough supplies provided for coffee in the room... only 2 non decaf ad the coffee was't good... very weak. The bed wasn't comfortable and both the fridge and air conditioner were too loud. We had comfortable pillows though. The pull out couch was very old and catchy... hard to pull out and in. The blankets for the beds were too hot. They need a thin all cotton and the duvet for décor. The room on surfaces was clean but the areas like at the windows were dirty and the floors in the bathroom need tile cleaner. There needs to be hooks for towels to dry and better air for them dry in the bathroom. The shower was amazing.The front desk was very accommodating upon check in.... pushed our check in so it was fast. Took care of our cupcakes for an event. Very loud room location right by exit and elevator. Stayed in 151.

We booked this hotel for a nearby wedding. I was reluctant because of previous reviews. I was pleasantly surprised! I am picky and admit this straight up! In my opinion, first entering the hotel found the lobby to clean and updated. Modern and comfortable. Welcoming. The room itself was a tad small but that really wasn't a concern. The room was clean, the bathroom immaculate albeit small. The bed was comfortable and pillows wonderful! The linens were crisp and fresh. Check in and out was courteous and friendly. Accommodating with any need we may have had. I have given a four star though because breakfast stopped being served at 9am - on a Sunday! When we checked out at 10am, no coffee was available. A coffee service area in or off the lobby would go a long way! We asked and the receptionist said we could make coffee in our room, which was true, but not fond of powder milk. Also, no mini bar in your room. No bottled water except vending machines on lower floors I believe. Would stay here again!

This is a very affordable hotel with clean rooms and comfortable beds. Many guests seem to ignore the non-smoking policy with impunity however, and this results in unpleasant odors in guest rooms. Not always, but often. The restaurant just closed, but there is a Kelsey's a 3 minute walk away. If you need to be in the Milton area, this is one of few choices.

"Not a good experience, poor customer service"

I stayed at this hotel from Friday March 11 - Sunday March 12 for a wedding that was happening nearby. The hotel was dirty, and I did not have a good experience. Our room (room 307) was very stuffy, so we decided to crack open a window a little bit - however when we did this a bunch of flies came in our room as they were living between the glass and the screen on the window (disgusting). The mini fridge in our room smelled like something died in there, and the sink in our bathroom clogged and would take a long time to drain. And when the sink did drain, it drained all over our floor. We ended up needing to put a bucket under the sink to catch the water. The wallpaper in our room was peeling and the carpeted floor felt like it hadn't been vaccuumed in quite a while. I was hoping to bring all of this to the attention of the staff when checking out, but other guests of the wedding were present and I felt this was inappropriate. I called the hotel after returning home on Sunday, and was told the manager was unavailable and would call me back by Thursday to work out some sort of credit or refund. When I did not hear back, I called again. I was told the manager was not on site but would return my call when she was back at the hotel. After another week, I called the hotel again and was finally given the number to reach the hotel manager at a different location. When I spoke to the manager (her name is Nashrin) she assured me that she would look into the issue and give me a call back once she spoke with her staff. I never heard back from her. Horrible customer service and I would not suggest staying here.

"Good place to stay"

I have stayed here a number of times over the years-good service and value but this spring 2016 the restaurant was under renovation and that made it inconvenient-as I arrived later in the evening and then still had to go back out to pick up supper & breakfast.

Disappointed the great restaurant closed and the workout room is not good! The micro burnt the popcorn, the coffee maker took forever to brew! With the closure of the restaurant the least they could do is have free coffee in the lobby.

Upon arriving to the hotel it didn't look too bad from the outside. Some Best Western's can look a bit tired from the outside but this one not so much. The car park was pretty full but was well maintained as it had just been snowing the night before. The lobby area inside was my first clue that this place was a bit run down. While there were no obvious major flaws, it looked a felt a bit tired, not quite what I was expecting considering the outside. I arrived very very late, gone 1am, but the service was quick and friendly and they appreciated that I just wanted to get to bed immediately. I went up to my room and again the hallways, lift, everything on the way was old, old, old. Thats not to say anything was dirty or broken, but it was in dire need of a facelift thats for sure. The room was much of the same. Fairly small, and tired looking. The wallpaper was sagging in places and carpets could have done with a good seeing to. Where I was really disappointed was the bathroom and the heater. The bathroom was extremely small...when you open the door into it, its a struggle to get inside. The shower was adequate but they didn't leave nearly enough soap or shampoo for a proper wash, and it didn't get hot or powerful enough for my liking. The heater was the real kicker. For reasons unbeknown to me it was stuck blowing out cold air. I tried my hardest to get it to stop but couldn't, meaning that my room was like an igloo all night. Not too bad when you are sleeping under the covers, but any other time its a real nightmare. Overall it just wasn't up to scratch for a Best Western for me. It wasn't the most expensive hotel I've ever been in, but for it to be worth it, they need to do a serious face lift and improve the bathrooms.

Chose this location because it was close to my daughter's. We were not expecting the "Ritz" but this hotel fell far below par. The bed sunk towards the center, too much dust, bathroom sink, was blocked, cheap coffee maker was defective, the restaurant was closed (no reason given). We will not be returning to this hotel.

Where to begin... the hotel smells like a mixture of urine, mildew and stale cigarettes. Not only is this "hotel" over-priced but also the "staff manager" is AWFUL. Alanna and the other red head are quite the dynamic duo of horrible service. Firstly, Alanna spoke down to me and ignored me while carrying on a conversation with another guest from CP rail (she sounded like a lady of the night if you catch my drift) I was beyond shocked to later find out she is the manager! Alanna said she was doing a pre- authorization for the week however; she did a straight purchase, which I found out at a later time. I confronted her on this and she rolled her eyes and asked " does it really make a difference...just don't throw a party unless I'm invited" To make matters worse, I contacted the owner, she is another unprofessional addition, she completely dismissed my complaint, told me she had another call coming in and never returned back. She has still yet to return any of my emails regarding the horrible experience I had at this sad excuse of a hotel. During my stay I was overwhelmed with the amount of hookers coming in and out of this building- what kind of business are you running? As if this doesn't sound bad enough, I used the main lobby washroom and found USED condoms in the sinks; this is when I checked out. Do NOT bring your children here. It was one thing after another and I am completely shocked at the positive reviews written. As I was waiting to check out, I was really waiting for Alanna to get off the phone with what seemed to be her boyfriend? It was swear word after word and the entire lobby could hear. If you're thinking about staying here, think again as this was a dreadful stay and I still have nightmares months later. I usually am not one to write reviews but after a friend of mine had almost the same experience just last week, I feel the need to really disclose what goes on at the Hotel of Hell. Run away people, they will take your money, leave you smelling like stale smoke and have you wondering how they're still in business. If you're thinking of staying at the Hilton across the street- I've found out that the same people own it. I walked in to the Hilton to make a reservation as I am in Milton again on business only to see Alana's face- gah! Needless to say, I turned around and went to the Holiday Inn- MUCH better option.

Clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and Staff very nice, gave us great service that morning. We were given casino package to use if we wished to go there. Will stay again if in the area.

Stayed at this hotel for one night, found it to be clean and had no issues with check in or check out. Booked through a booking website as the group rate organized for wedding party was not as good as what was easily found online. The elevator was incredibly slow.

The night before staying here we stayed at the holiday inn near here and the place was not very clean. After switching to this hotel everything was much more cleaner and the staff was extremely friendly and engaging. I ate at the restaurant both days i stayed where i ordered the lumberjack which had a really big portion and i could barely finish. My coworker ordered the omelette and it was fluffy delicious.

I just finished a two day lighting conference where I was a keynote speaker and was put up at the Best Western Plus. I cannot comment enough on how wonderful my stay was and the people/staff were excellent. Not only were they so friendly, accommodating, but so positive :) The room was more than decent and I had everything I needed. I think what I most appreciated with that they had an actual restaurant/bar on site/attached to the hotel....this I did not expect for this type of hotel. The food and service were very good. And to throw out a specialized comment, the women in Canada are very beautiful! Everyone of the staff had such a beautiful quality about themselves. A special shout-out to "Danielle" at the front counter....she was so pleasant to speak with, and again....another beauty! :) If I had to say anything non-positive, it would be that the bar was limited on it's selection.....especially in Bourbon. I'm a Maker's Mark guy....they only had one bourbon-whiskey.....Jack but honey flavored? Hopefully, my next trip to visit.....a better stocking of the bar for any of us preferring to stay at the hotel to share some drinks. Cheers to Canada!! Great stay.

We have stayed At the Best Western 4 times in the past while. Its nice that they allow pets as it is hard to find many anymore that will take pets. We found the room to be clean, the bed very comfortable and the service to be very helpful and cheerful. Great team at the front desk.... Our niece came to visit and go for a swim. the pool and area was clean, the pool could of been just a wee bit warmer. good for niece but hard for me to get in too cold.... lol

Check-In: Slow but smooth and problem free. One girl working the front and intakes one at a time manually. Room: Pretty standard. 1 queen bed, bathroom, tv. It did the job. We stayed one night for a wedding block. Clean. Price: $110 for one night in the middle of Milton. Not a good price, you can stay at Niagara Falls for $99 one night with vouchers to nearby restaurants and activities. Absolute zilch for this random location. If it weren't for a wedding block here, we would not have stayed. Overall: Meh. Not worth the price, but it'll do. Avoid the restaurant as all costs. Seriously, go to the Timmies or the McDonalds around the corner. Tastes better and costs less. See my review on Allison at the Best.

With children and grandchildren living in various cities this hotel is perfectly located that we can hop on any main highway be there very quickly. We enjoy how clean and comfortable our accommodations always are when we stay and how pleasant and nice the staff is.

"Rude service!"

Incredibly rude service demonstrated by the Front Desk Manager Alana! We had inquired about long term stay rates and were advised they do not offer corporate rates on weekends and discounted rates are only offered for long term stays. When I advised that most companies operate 7 days a week now and employees do travel over the weekend for Monday meetings; Alana advised this was the policy and the best she could do was the rate of the day unless we had AAA. She then took a call with us still waiting to check in and advised the guest she offered the CAA/AAA rate to them upfront as they still had capacity! When I questioned her on it, I was advised she did not appreciate us being rude and this is the way it was take it or leave it! She then walked away leaving her trainee to deal with us and took a call in the back office where she could be heard yelling and cursing! We were not being rude simply questioning why another guest was offered this upfront and we had to pull teeth to get even the AAA rate. We asked to speak to the manager and were quite surprised to find out she is one and will be managing the new Hilton they are opening as well as we were so condescendingly advised. Breakfast is not included, service is beyond poor and hotel and attitude need major renovations. Went to Holiday Inn and were treated with respect and appreciation! How she is a manager and has a job is beyond comprehension! Never again!

Staff is friendly, rooms are decent, price is right. Location does get some noise from highway though so be warned. Still I recommend it as it is probably best value in the area. Key cards died twice on me though which was a minor annoyance. Check in & out is very prompt.

This was, hands down the WORST experience I have ever had at a hotel. The young lady at the front desk, Allanah was awful.. with a smile! She spoke down to me as a guest so much so that I cancelled the reservation right then and there. I had inquired about the $50 pet fee and her response was " that's the way it is at my hotel". When I had decided to cancel the reservation she was disingenuous and just plain rude. I'm uncertain how long she has worked at this location for however ,I am shocked she still has a job there. I then went to the Holiday Inn across the street and the service was MUCH better, highly recommended. Aesthetically this hotel appeared just as cheap as the service. Don't waste your time and money on this place.

Attached restaurant provides a buffet breakfast for 13.00 all in. No lunch and restricted and limited dinner. Nothing on Sunday. Hotel was fine but most Best Western's for the price provide a continental buffet breakfast

Been to this great place off and on since March. I do have to say after spending time at other hotels you kinda miss this place.. First off the front desk staff (Alana,Carrie and Chelsea) makes you feel like home with there warm welcome big smiles. The place is well looked after. I would highly recommend this hotels for all occasions from a week away a overnight stay or for work.. I have stayed in alot of hotels over the last 4 years.. But not place besides this place has my work away from home feel like home.... Keep up the great work looking forward to see you gals again soon....

"Good Hotel for Travelling Families with Diabetes"

The Dskate Hockey Program has stayed at the Best Western Plus Milton twice. In the summer of 2014 and 2015. Both stays were exceptional and the hotel handled our group size (between 30-80) with ease. Exceptionally friendly staff who are willing to help out in a pinch, the hotel had a welcoming atmosphere and all the families had fun with no complaints. A key to the Best Western Plus Milton is the fridge/microwave setup they have available. As Dskate is a Hockey Program for hockey players living with diabetes, it is important for our families to know that they have the necessary means to make sure all of their diabetes care products are well taken care of. On both of our stays, Best Western Milton provided all of our families with what they needed and more. Not to mention, the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel has a great restaurant and a fun indoor pool for everyone to play around in, as well as a gym for the hockey coaches or businessman on-the-go to get their workout in. We have even used their banquet facilities for private functions and business meetings and were pleased to have all of our needs met in a pleasant and private space. We couldn't be happier about our stays and are pleased to recommend that the Best Western Plus Milton is a great place to stay for travelling families, families living with diabetes and your hockey team. "Basic hotel with great staff"

I stayed here this past Sunday evening, I did not have a reservation but the young (female) front desk attendant was absolutely lovely. Fast and convenient checkin even though she said she was brand new and barely finished her training, but had more answers than previous attendants at this hotel had ever given me. I was looking for quite a few items and she very cheerfully helped me out, even looking up restaurant hours online and giving me directions. I had a bad day and the front desk lady helped turn my mood around! The hotel itself is fairly average and somewhat outdated, with a stale cigarette smell but with very clean rooms and a nice salt water pool. Overall great stay!

A very clean, quiet hotel. All amenities served us well, the staff was helpful and friendly. Parking was good, some local restaurants nearby for variety. Didn't use the pool or excercise rooms. Not into that.

Was a grouchy staff member at the counter. Room was OK but nothing more than one would expect from a room that's $30 less. Elevator so slow I really thought it had malfunctioned. No breakfast included.

In town for a wedding nice hotel fair price room was clean although very small hard fir two people to move around small. Maybe just our room type one queen bed but other double bed rooms were larger . Not bad overall would stay again if needed

We stay at this Best Western every year when visiting family in Milton. The rooms are quiet even though the hotel is close to the highway. The rooms are clean and staff very friendly and helpful. This time were disappointed with the attached restaurant - which is not run by the Best Western but is on the premises - making the hotel a BW "plus".

My wife and I are regular guests at Best Westerns around Canada and the US because as retired travellers, we always get what we expect. Consistent quality for the price in convenient locations. So when we were invited to an old friends birthday party, the Best Western Milton was conveniently located, reasonably priced and easily booked online. Check in was casual and efficient and we were soon in the elevator to our 4th floor room. First impressions were that it was a little small, but had all the amenities one would expect at a BW. The decor was subdubed and tasteful. But what we really noticed was how spotless the room was. And the bathroom was even better! We both remarked that the shine made it look as if we were the first guests. And every part of this room was equally fresh and clean. Truly a pleasure and after a quick and easy checkout; we both remarked that we wouldn't hesitate to stay here in the future and definitely recommend it to other travellers. Well done BW Milton. The chain should be proud of you.

The hotel seemed tired and a bit dingy. As we walked to the first room we were given, we passed through an area that smelled of stale cigarette smoke. They only provided a very small all in one shampoo and conditioner and a couple of bars of soap. In the morning there was only one package of regular coffee. The Wifi was very slow in the evening. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. My major complaint about this hotel has to do with customer service. We booked through Hotwire, which my sister and I have used on several occasions. When we went to our room we discovered that it only had one bed. At reception the employee blamed Hotwire, even though this has never happened to us before. She said in order for us to get a room with two beds we would have to pay an additional $20. I complained that I did not want to pay the money since this had never happened before. She seemed to insinuate that it was our fault because we booked through a third party. She did not seem to care that we were dissatisfied. She did not offer to speak to her supervisor or to let us speak with him/her. My recommendation is that you stay down the road at the Holiday Inn. It is a much nicer place and if you book through Hotwire you get two beds.

"OK Room, but NO CLOSET!!!!"

We went to Milton for a nearby wedding, and did check in the day before (spent 2 nights there) They did let us check in early, which was nice, but...our room had NO CLOSET. We were there for a wedding...my Son's wedding, and I had a long dress that I wanted to hang in a closet, out of the way. Well, with no closet...I had to hang it on a coat rack, which is what was provided. It dragged on the floor, and we had other clothes we didn't want wrinkled (suit coat, dress shirt, etc.) and it was all crammed onto a coat rack that was wobbly. The room was clean, but small. Comfortable bed, microwave, and small frig were adequate. No little soaps or shampoo's were provided, and cups were flimsy plastic. I also thought it was overpriced. They gave us a "discount" because we had reserved a number of rooms. However, when I went online, the rooms were cheaper with a AAA discount. When I asked about that at the desk upon check in, I was told "You can pay the Triple A rate, but it's more expensive," end of discussion. I was advised by another guest to not eat at the hotel restaurant, as it was expensive, had poor service, and they were out of vegetables, and got nothing to replace it, but still had to pay full price. The pool looked nice, but we didn't use it. Again...the room was clean, with plenty of pillows, comfy bed, nice TV...but I've never stayed at a place with no closet in the room. The bathroom was also quite small, but clean as well.The provided iron/ironing board (which we did need to use after having the clothes hang on a coat rack) was hanging from the wall, the minute you entered the room.

It was like walking into a dungeon. It stunk like mildew . The service in the restaurant was absolutely horrible . It started out with our simple breakfast wasn't done right . I had said I was allergic to eggs and to put my eggs on my husbands plate ... Well mine showed up with eggs . I ordered sausage well I got ham . Both my husband and I ordered brown toast we got white . Getting a coffee refill just wasn't happening. We had a lot of family staying there because of a family wedding. When our other family members showed up they were told they ran out of food . What big chain Hotel runs out of food ????? I have never stayed at a hotel that so poorly ran . I will never ever stay there again . Best Western should really look into who managing their hotel in Milton Ontario . I've been in the industry for many of years and this I must say is the worst place I've stated at.
