Very nice ! Super Clean & comfy room. Bed was really comfy. Nice amenities. Great walk in shower. Large parking area. Staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good selections of hot & cold. Grassy areas to walk dogs. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed one night - February 24, 2024. The staff was accommodating and the room was very clean. Everything is new and the shower was fantastic. The continental breakfast includes something for adults and kids and the service area is kept clean and well stocked. I would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel is very clean. Breakfast was good, they changed it up each day. All staff was very nice and helpful. Upon booking, they had to call me back to help get guests checked in and they called back promptly. Checking in and out was very quick. Would stay here again.

We were impressed by the BW Plus Lakeview Hotel. The lobby and amenities were clean, comfortable, and inviting. The staff member that checked us in was very nice, friendly, and helpful. Our room had lots of extra space and a lot of nice touches that added convenience to our stay. After a nice quiet night, we were impressed at the variety included in the continental breakfast. Everything was well stocked. It's not often I have nothing to complain about. We are anxious to stay here again!

I will only stay at the Lakeview Best Western PLUS in Madison, SD. The staff are helpful, friendly, and professional. The breakfast has a lot of choices, and the coffee is pretty good! The team goes above and beyond the call of duty, and I have already made reservations for next year when I go back.

This place is always great, rooms are nice, bar area nice, people are nice. Have to point out one employee though. Tina who is at the front desk, is pretty bad only because she always pushes real hard for a tip, even always writes it on my bill. Tired of the pushy , you should give me a tip for really doing nothing but punching a few keys. Housekeeping and lady who make the breakfast should be getting it. Hopefully the Manager sees this and can pass on to Tina to not be so pushy and demanding for a tip. I stay here a lot but will never be giving a tip to Tina. Other than this , the place is awesome!!!!

Room door did not lock or latch when leaving the room and the staff and manager admitted to being aware of the issue and the room being rented in error. No other resolution offered. The room was clean but since we could not leave the room locked there was no option to do anything more than stay in the room both days we were there. Very sad we did not get to explore anything locally and staff did not appear to care. The only solution offered was to deadbolt the door while in the room so no one could get in but that only worked from inside so we had to have one of us in the room at all times

When I visit my daughter and her family in SD, I always stay at the Best Western Plus Lakeview Hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The breakfasts served each morning are always hot and yummy with lots of options to choose from. And the breakfast staff are fun to visit with. The rooms and large and always super clean. And the beds...are way too comfortable. It's a great place to stay.

The price of the rooms was very reasonable, the hotel was clean and the staff were very helpful! The pool area was clean. We even sat outside by the gas fireplace. We also liked the fact that there was a small bar on site.

The hotel was new, clean, very comfortable room and great shower. The staff was very nice and welcoming. Breakfast had all the basics. Coffee available in the lobby area all day long. Internet worked well in the room.

Room was clean and up to date. Breakfast was above standard and the staff went out of their way to help us with our schedule. I had called ahead to ask if they could help us and they followed through without a hiccup. Thank you BW !

Surprisingly nice new and well maintained hotel .Very friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was a cut above with a couple of special egg and potato choices. As a plus for those who wish to partake there is a bar and lounge complete with a mini casino and outdoor patio. Nice find in a typically friendly rural South Dakota town.

Even though we had to travel almost 1 hour from falls park it was definitely worth it. Its a brand new hotel with a lovely staff and we did laundry there for the first time very easy. breakfast was very good and the dining room was away from the front desk so we didint get affected with the new comers and the door opening

Clean, comfortable and friendly staff. The hotel has everything you can thing of, bar/lounge, pool/hot tub, a fabulous gym, and a top of the notch breakfast selection! I will stay with them again, and again, and again.

The room was very nice! It was roomy making it nice to move around in our room itself. All things were cleaned well - bedding, room, floor, bathroom, refrigerator, etc. We never had a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but they looked very inviting; we were just too busy to utilize the pool or exercise equipment. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

This is a great hotel in the small town of Madison, SD. It is new, clean, quiet, has very friendly staff. It has other amenities that we don't typically use when in town. They offer a complimentary bar beverage at the bar which is nice to visit at the end of a long day.

In town for family reunion. After a small glitch in checking in, the rest of a two day stay was great. Room was very comfy and very quiet. Very clean and service was really good. Will definitely be staying here again when we are in Madison, S.D.

Very Clean, and helpful staff, communicated needs and what was possible for the best services. All the services from Pool, Morning breakfast was a spread, and HOT coffee! Relaxing spaces for visiting and great workout space.

The rooms were very clean and everything there was handled well and there were no issues at all. The hotel was quiet when I stayed . The only thing that was miss leading was the lake view. I was on the first floor and there was no lake to be seen. It is possible that if you were on the top floor you could see a lake. But I wasn't there to sit and watch the lake so I didn't see this as an issue. But it could be if you wanted to be able to see the lake.

The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very clean, the pool/hot tub is very relaxing, stopping in the bar/lounge for a drink and a pizza is a must.. The check in process is very simple and there are multiple discounts you can use. If you travel through Madison or in the area this is the place to stay

costumer service was excellent. rooms were clean and spacious. my granddaughter loved the pool. We felt like home. The staff was conversational. The breakfast was delicious. I would stay there again and recommend to others.

We were pleased with the spacious size of the room! It was nice and clean and very welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed gathering with family in the Bar area. Also enjoyed the breakfast buffet! We were in Madison to go to our grandson's graduation at DSU.

Great location easy to find. Very nice and modern hotel. Staff was super friendly and helped when we needed a document printed. We were there for a college visit so it was very easy to get to the college when we needed to.

Very nice hotel. We were greeted by a fireplace and complimentary drink. Our room still smelled new. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. All employees were very friendly and accommodating. Would defiantly recommend this hotel

Stayed in Sioux Falls two nights prior to this and the accommodations were not good we were not happy travelers at that time. But this motel in Madison South Dakota what a beautiful facility with wonderful help wonderful water pressure and an extremely comfortable bed… What more could you ask……..for just like being at home

The area coming out of the hot tub is extremely unsafe. I stepped down out of the hot tub, took 1 step forward & next thing I knew I was on my back with one leg behind me in severe pain. The next morning when I tried to walk I was in so much pain that I felt like I needed to have it looked at. Tried talking to John Cozad the Manager at the front desk & was talked down to when I told him about the incident. Very rude when I told him I wanted to go have my leg looked at. People started arriving behind us at the check in counter, so he handed me his card and said to go have it checked out and have the hospital send the bill to the Best Western, attention John Cozad. Since then the hospital and myself have tried to get a return phone call from the hotel in regards to the emergency bill. With no success reaching anyone, unknowing to me my husband gave up trying and paid the ER bill. We are on hard times due to this pandemic but we have perfect credit and he didn't want this incident to ruin a perfect score. Today I finally got through to Mr. Cozad on the phone & again was met with a very antagonistic response, blaming me for the accident and him denying that he said, "have the bill sent to the hotel, attention John Cozad." Not one time was anyone at Best Western concerned or apologetic that someone got hurt at their new pool area. Not one time did they listen to my concerns that someone may get badly hurt if they didn't fix the area in question. The sad part is that I am not the only person that fell on our stay. I went back in after emergency visit and others said they had fallen also. Thankfully I was the only one that ended up getting hurt that I know of. I just hope they fix the problem before someone gets badly hurt. As for us ... we will never stay at the Best Western again in Madison SD. When we go back to visit family in Madison SD we will stay at the hotel we have always stayed at across the street.

We stayed at this property for our 50 year class reunion. The property was immaculate, the breakfast had everything you could ever wish for and the staff shared their South Dakota hospitality with everyone. We couldn't have been more pleased!

3 choices of hotels in Madison. This is slightly more expensive because it is the best hotel experience in Madison, hands down. Hotel has a more extensive breakfast, good wifi, and a lounge to have a drink if you wish. They comp you a drink when you check in.

The breakfast that is offered is amazing as there is a wide variety and the entire family can find something they love.

Attended a wedding of a friend, this was a very nice hotel. The room was exceptional, the staff was more than accommodating, the lounge was nice, the overall stay was very pleasing. I would stay here again, given the need to go to Madison.

The hotel is new and is very clean. The staff are very nice and helpful. Hotel is pet friendly, and has a nice pet area outside. Breakfast is decent for hotel breakfast. Rooms are large. The shower is very nice. Stayed one night while traveling through the area. Would stay again.

my wife and i stay at the best western plus lakeview in madison, south dakota for 1 nite. we were heading back to chicago from yellowstone, and were outraged at the hotel prices in sioux falls. we had stayed at the comfort inn & suites avera in sioux falls for $179 total, on our way to yellowstone, but it was $241 on our way back. other sioux falls hotels were similarly priced(alot to do with it being a saturday nite stay). luckily we found the best western plus in madison for $130 before tax/fees. you have to drive an extra 25 miles, when your heading east on I90. we took route 81. going west on I90, you can take I29 north. this hotel is fantastic. really new, extraordinarily clean, with a professional staff. ***please note*** madison, south dakota is a small town. no restaurants worth mentioning near year. it is strictly a STOPOVER, for travelers. we had 2 queen size beds, very comfortable, well-appointed room with comfortable mattress and pillows. seamless, fast wifi internet, easy to connect. big hdtv, with hbo, amongst lots of cable channels. loved the shower. best shower we had on our trip. we didn't eat the free breakfast. so i have no idea what was offered. the young man at check-in was very good. he directed me to a convenienc store near, that had some decent hot food. very quiet nites sleep. hotel offers 2 free drinks at their bar. not sure if bar has food. it closes early 8pm. recommend this hotel highly. WORTH THE EXTRA DRIVE!!!!!!

I had a nice visit, did not spend much time in the room at all. With my wife and 2 small children. They told me that someone was smoking in my room. They could smell it. When I left the room with my family the room smelled fine. I do not understand this charge. I get it, I sign a piece of paper on your policy. Here is the deal, you made a big mistake in charging me that 250.00. Time to clean house. You have people on your staff that are smoking stuff in the rooms. I would admit it if I really did, you got me, but no way. Don't you dare reply to this review or I'm calling you again. Just know that me and my family did not smoke in that room.

We were in South Dakota viewing homes for sale. On the 3rd day we found the perfect house for us! Decided to take a mini Vacation in Madison SD at the Best Western Plus. We can't believe how wonderful our stay was thanks to cleanliness, friendly staff, coffee, tea and ice water available in lobby 24/7, Cookies every evening at desk and a free drink in the lounge. Pizza there very good, too. We highly recommend staying here if you're in the area. Madison is a nice town to visit as well. Check out the 2nd Street Diner.

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Lakeview Hotel for my daughters wedding. The entire stay was GREAT. Rooms were modern and super clean. The Breakfast was hot and changed each day we stayed. The staff was OUTSTANDING in every way. Would stay again.

The staff is so polite and friendly, and I mean all of them, from the front desk to housekeeping. The hotel is beautiful, and very clean. The beds were very comfortable, even down tot he sheets they use. We did not get to go down to the bar/ restaurant, but they have a tasty looking menu, and we were provided with one drink ticket (which I'm bummed we didn't get to use). Breakfast was very good as well. We were surprised to see one in operation again! Would definitely stay here again!

We were on the road and looking for a place to rest overnight. We drove a little further out of the way, but worth it. Everything was clean, friendly staff, and hot breakfast is being served again. The lounge was closed by the time we made it there, but there's a Casey's gas station on the corner and their pizza and wings were the best.

The hotel is very clean and has staff that are very polite and friendly. The room was very modern with nice television and comfortable mattresses. There is a small lounge that is great for unwinding after a long drive. I always like to view my vehicle and could see it no matter what room I was in. Great parking.

What amazing staff! We stopped in to break up a long drive from Yellowstone Park back home to MInnesota. We rolled up at close to midnight and the staff were absolutely great. A friendly and warm welcome with lots of smiles. Wish we had the same reception from the other hotels we have stayed at this week. Thanks for being so welcoming and positive in the early hours of the morning. The hotel is amazingly clean too! Thank you!

Our family was here to celebrate our son's graduation from Dakota State University. Wonderful, friendly Staff ensuring your comfort while staying here. Rooms are extremely clean, spacious & nicely decorated. Fabulous bathroom. A very nice free breakfast with a lot of choices of cold and hot breakfasts, and a sports bar that offers light bar food and a good selection of Beer & Wine. I will definitely stay here again.

This is a very nicely pointed hotel with a very clean, contemporary look. Staff were friendly, the lobby is inviting - fresh baked cookies at the check-in desk, the pool and hot tub are very nice and clean, and there is even a nice lounge (my stay came with a free drink ticket). My room had a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and locking safe. The complimentary breakfast has all the standard amenities all presented with care: fresh fruit, yogurts, waffle maker, bread/toast options, cereals, potato dish, egg dish selections, juices, coffee and teas, etc. There is also a nice seating area for the breakfast. This is definitely the nicest hotel in Madison, it holds up well when compared to nicer hotels in larger metro areas, and if you're looking for a little nicer stay while you're there and not just a place to plop your head, choosing this hotel is a no brainer.

Clean. Great and caring staff. Would recommend this hotel to anyone. Room was large and the bed was comfortable. Really nice building. This is a great stop when traveling. Nice small bar and selction is good for either beer or wine.

Although this hotel is clean and new, they sadly do not follow Best Western corporate guidelines for covid with mask requirements. Management cares more about “personal freedoms” than they do about protecting the health of their employees and guests. If you believe in science and public health, stay anywhere else.

The hotel is very nice,check in and out is super fast. The hotel has a great fitness center and pool area and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Austin and Melisa at the front desk went above and beyond to make sure our stay was very enjoyable. Deb in the breakfast area was very nice and made sure all guest had what they wanted.

This hotel does not require masks for staff or guests, and does not observe or enforce social distancing. Even though South Dakota had no mandates for either, I expected more from Best Western. We did not feel safe there.

Our kids had a blast in the pool. Our room was spacious, clean, and had extra amenities like a frig and microwave which was really nice. We will definitely stay again and would highly recommend it to others.

We were treated like royalty here. It's a new hotel. Our room was super clean, quiet and roomy. The breakfast was tasty and hot, many choices. There was also fresh fruit. And the staff kept the area clean and well stocked. The hotel staff were courteous, friendly and efficient. The complementary free drink brought us to the well stocked and beautiful bar. The pool area was clean and well-maintained. The whole hotel was clean, quiet and welcoming.

The hotel is beautiful. The check in staff left a lot to be desired. She neither looked friendly nor was she friendly. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. As someone with severe food allergies there was little available for me.

This is a newer hotel ,so everything was new and in great condition. Staff is friendly,very helpful and did everything they could to make sure your stay was a good experience . Our group reserved app. 10 rooms plus the party room and all were very pleased with the stay.

On a previous trip to Madison we knew this Hotel was being developed, and it turned out even better than we had hoped for. We will for certain be staying here again during our future family visits here.

The brand new Best Western Plus Lakeview is a great option in the Madison, SD area. It had a full, hot breakfast (rare in COVID times!) with tons of great options. The rooms, lobby and common areas are very clean and open. It's about 1 block from a great, paved biking trail (also great for running or walking). If you take the trail one way, you head into downtown (maybe 0.5 miles from the hotel) or the other way takes you to Lake Madison and into the country (great for biking). The bedding was crisp and cozy. The comforter was one of the best I've had in a hotel in quite a while. I highly recommend this hotel.

Needed a one night stay when visiting our son. New hotel that is very clean and comfortable. We had a King Suite. The room was very open and the bed slept great. Quiet location. Breakfast was typical eggs, biscuits with gravy, waffles and wide variety of pastries. Cereals and oatmeal were also provided. Fruit to grab and go.

This newly opened hotel (10/19) is an excellent choice when visiting Madison, SD. Close to DSU and the local lakes, the facility is clean, the staff provided attentive service, and the amenities are a value at the price point. Indoor pool, exercise room, free breakfast, and one free drink (beer or wine) per night. There is also a nice patio facing west that is a good spot to gather (needs furniture).

New hotel-very clean, quiet, has a nice little bar and a wonderful breakfast in the morning. Great option when traveling to Lake Madison. AmericInn may be cheaper and we tried it, spend the extra money and stay here-so much better!!

This is a new hotel and the rooms were spacious and very clean. The hotel has it's own lounge that serves beer and wine and you can order food from local establishments to be delivered to the lounge. I definitely recommend this hotel.

By far this is one of the best hotels I have stayed in a long time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My large room was pristine clean and very inviting. It was a quiet place to relax and when I checked out I was greeted with a smile from the staff. I highly recommend this hotel if your every passing through Madison and need a place to stay.

The Best Western Plus Lakeview Hotel was a real treat! The facility is new and modern with great attention given to detail. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the amenities are top notch! The fitness room was clean and bright with a great choice of machines as well as free weights available. Breakfast was excellent with many choices available. A lounge is open in the evening, and coffee and cookies are available in the lobby.

I would recommend this hotel if your staying in the area. The hotel was clean and new. Great kitchen area for breakfast with friendly staff that provided a great meal. The chef prepared a great breakfast daily. Housekeeping kept my room clean and well stocked with supplies. Enjoyed the fresh baked evening cookies that were provided. Great decor that made you feel comfortable.

Look elsewhere if you appreciate good customer service and bring treated like a valued guest. After I checked out, I received an updated email statement showing an extra charge for a pet. We didn't have a pet, so I called thinking there must be a mistake. After 2 days of leaving messages, manager finally called back and advised it wasn't a mistake, that housekeeper heard a dog in my room and after I checked out they added the charge because room smelled like dog. So, in addition to calling me a liar, they also said my family smells like dog. Asked why she didn't just knock when she heard the dog and manager said they didn't want to disturb me. Why didn't they check surveillance cameras? No response. So, instead of actually confirming there was a dog (which they couldn't do because there wasn't a dog)...they added a charge that I had to spend hours trying to get removed. Then there wasn't even a sincere apology, just the minimum effort to remove the fabricated charge. Take your business somewhere else because these people don't care about you or your time.

The hotel is new. One of the nicest hotels that we hve stayed in. Spacious rooms, very clean. The staff was overly friendly and helpful.Breakfast was hot and a good selection. If you ever go to Madison, SD, this is the place to stay. Suggest you book way in advance, they are getting a lot of summer reservations.

Was great! I like the fact that they have flat button remotes! Very friendly staff! The city of Madison had needed a new hotel for some time. Its easy to find has everything one needs when getting away for a short period of time.
