Resumen de la reserva
We were leaving to avoid the hurricane in Florida. We got in late and check in was smooth. Once we got to our room we were met with an immediate musty smell and the carpet felt damp. We asked for a new room and were told we could switch tomorrow. The next day my wife went to the front desk and immediately was met with hostility about moving rooms. It caught us off guard because we had worked it out the next before. Fortunately the Hilton across the street was happy to help us out. On a good note the hotel did apologize as we left and we did receive a refund which was appreciated. Overall we saw mold, ripped up carpet with interesting stuff behind it, dirty/stained sheets and rough customer service. They may have been having a bad day but not something we wanted to stay around for.
Upon arriving at the hotel, we had been charged two different times for one night. The manager would not speak to the travel team coordinator on the phone to figure what was going on. It's EXTREMELY humid in there. I felt our room could not get cold enough and it was on 66 degrees. I woke up feeling muggy at some points through out the night. Walking down the hallways and into our room smelled disgusting. Almost like mildew. And breakfast was mediocre. Will never do it again. And still have not settle on how to get our money back besides calling our bank and claim a fraudulent
This hotel was horrible! It was so bad that I will be pursuing any and all criminal and civil legal actions available to me. DIYA, THE HOTEL MANAGER NEEDS TO BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY! The rooms were filthy dirty, I had a broken and loud toilet in the first room that would not stop, hair balls and debris all over. The second room I had to request some Raid bug spray to kill flies everywhere, plus there were dead bugs in the closet, in the bathroom floor, visible dirt all over the walls that the owner claims he couldn't see. Horrible experience. These large companies need to stop making the barrier for entry so easy for these immigrants that want to own businesses. They have no idea and could care less about the American standard of customer service. ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS EXPEREINCE!
I booked a two night stay at the hotel for my wife and I we usually go down to see our grandkids two or three times a year and usually stay at McGee ,Ms Best Western while were on vacation but this year we decided to go to the best Western Premier in Hattiesburg Ms to stay I booked thru booking.com I told the hotel I wouldn't be able to check in until around 8:00 pm which they sent a email agreeing to that well when we got there after driving for 4 hours we was told they didn't have any reservations for us now the lady had my confirmation number and the pin and said repeatedly there was no reservations for us never offered to rent us a room for the night very cold so we left and got us a room at another hotel i called booking.com they blame the hotel and the hotel blames booking.com for the the whole thing but either way we haven't gotten our refund from either one of them looks like I'll have to let the credit card company and the authorities handle it lesson here if it ain't broken don't mess with it looks like we will be staying in McGee, Ms from now on
My biggest complaint about this hotel was the manager, Diya. She was very rude and unprofessional. Her attitude was disgusting to say the least! The hotel is in a great area and close to everything. The rooms were clean for the most part, however my family member had issues with their room which was moldy. I would recommend staying here, but don't expect to get top tier customer service.
Friendly very clean comfortable location great food nice shower Will be telling people about my stay
When we checked in the woman at the front desk could not be bothered to pause her conversation with a friend long enough to check us in. The breakfast hours are too short and the food is a joke. Terrible. The internet listing said there was a bar in the hotel. There was not, and that's the reason we picked this hotel over the many in the area with better prices. The room was nice, but there were no amenities to justify the significantly higher price than all the hotels directly across the street.
Check-in was smooth, but the 3rd floor must have had a water leak at some point. The hallway smelled of mold, mildew, and had soft spots in the hallway floor. The guests above us were loud and kept it up until 2 AM, despite our complaint to the front desk. Don't waste your time staying here.
Great place to stay. The breakfast is absolutely excellent. The staff is very friendly and the rooms a clean.
Room had a terrible stale smell, whole room seemed to be damp from humidity, room for 3 only had 1very small chair a large person can't use, 1small office desk chair. Shower holder was adjustable but worn out and the shower spray could only go to the very bottom or has to be jammed all the way at the top. Handicap rooms should be close to elevator and not the furthest away from it.
Disgusting due to room cleanliness. Beyond unacceptable when paying $208/night. Extreme mildew inside of shower in numerous areas and outside of shower as well, hair, no water pressure, shower head trickle sprayed onto ceiling, cannot even begin to tell you how filthy bathroom was. Pullout sofa was terribly uncomfortable as well for our petite 17 year old. We stopped here a year ago and hotel was nice which is why we returned this year. We will not return in future!!! I showed pictures to front desk employee upon checkout and she was mortified and apologized saying there was no excuse for this condition. She even asked for my pics in order to forward to management. She was the only good thing about this hotel experience. Thank you, Angela, for your utmost customer service and kindness in caring about the place you are employed. I hope management can turn this decline around! Best Western, step it up or get out of the business!!!
The hotel main areas were attractive and in good shape. The staff is quite friendly. The lady service the breakfast area was fast and efficient. The evening front desk experience was a bit of a bad night. The desk receptionist seemed overwhelmed and had to deal with housekeeping staff that marked rooms as cleaned only to find out they were not. I was told there was no king bed rooms left available after she sent me up to see if the one room she thought was available was clean. Hmmm. We ended up in a queen bed disabled room. Because she gave us the key to the wrong room we were awakened by the evening receptionist who gave keys to customers, thinking that room was available. I was really glad to have the extra lock on the door that prevented them from coming right on in. The manager in the morning had to deal with multiple issues (not just mine). Getting my invoice right was a bit of a challenge. I was billed for two nights at the wrong rate - ouch. I had to pull up my email confirmation up multiple times to show what the corporate system booked for my reservation. All is well that finally ended well. There seem to be some issues for management to address - including training and follow up on housekeeping to ensure rooms are actually cleaned. Please don't send a customer up to check on the status of rooms!
I will not stay at this hotel again. The staff is rude, well one young lady. I was threatened by her to have the police called on me because my room door wouldn't open for two days of me being there.
Very old not the cleanest hotel. Expensive for what it was but other hotels around area were sold out. The tile in shower was moldy and broken. The beds were very high hard to get into. The parking lot was small and back area seemed to only be for restaurant next door.
Housekeeping could be better. Some employees had difficulty understanding English. Breakfast server had emergency and no one took her place. Someone should have stepped in and took her place. Needed a hot breakfast to travel that day. Receptionist could do better keeping coffee filled and fresh. Pool supposed to close at 7pm. Lots of people in after hours.
This hotel is great place to stay with a great location in Hattiesburg, MS. We have stayed there for many years. Some staff need more training. The breakfast is always excellent. Leisbia the person responsible for breakfast does an amazing job and it was great to see she was till there after not staying here for 2 years.
We were in town for one night and this hotel was convenient. A clean room with a nice king bed. Unfortunately the thermostat was not operational and we couldn't get the room cool. Since we were on the top floor it soaked up quite a bit of ambient heat. Also no channel guide for the tv. Good hot breakfast. Odd ‘I'm not a robot' test to sign in to the wifi.
Very disappointing! VERY musty smell in room. VERY noisy room from room to room noise, hall noise. Luckily we brought a noise machine or it would have been unbearable and sleepless. Manager is patronizing and would not move us. This 2nd floor room had no privacy since, even though, we were on the 2nd floor, the hotel is built on a hillside so anyone in the parking lot 50 feet away could look directly into our room.
After a mix up with our reservation on our part, Kendra was able to book our hotel reservation when we came in exhausted, after midnight. The next day, when we decided to lengthen our stay, Angela was helpful in getting us another room. We were grateful for the pleasant staff who took care of us. Breakfast was great, rooms clean and comfortable. Overall, a great experience for our first stay in Hattiesburg.
After our disappointment of the reservation we made in Mobile, we were thinking of just hauling it back home to Texas. We figured we we would check out what Mississippi had available before calling it a loss for resting that night. Thank God we found this hotel. Very nice accommodations. Comfy beds. Friendly staff. The young man at the front desk went above and beyond. Very helpful, dispight it being midnight. Good location. I had never heard of the Premier brand. Glad we kept looking. Would stay again. Thanks for reading this review.
One of the best hotels i have ever stayed at! Clean huge rooms. we had the two queen suite. lots of space to stretch out in. so clean. friendly helpful staff. clean lobby. quietly tucked in -you would not realize you were in a populated area till you look out the window. Walking distance to Outback and other places to eat. We were on second floor. nice large bathroom. good choices for breakfast in lobby hotel pickings.
I have had great experiences with BW Premier locations in the past but this one is not much more than just a standard hotel. There were a couple of maintenance issues in the bathroom that were not a deal breaker but inconvenient. The lobby and breakfast amenities were also lacking compared to other "Premier" locations.
I travel to this area often for work and feel that this hotel is clean, comfortable, and safe. it's close to dinning and shopping. Easy access to the interstate. and the staff is always nice and helpful.
The room was damp and there was mold growing on the walls. The sheets were stained. The bathroom fixtures were old and loose. It was the last room available during a busy holiday weekend, but this room should not be occupied. The mold makes it seem unhealthy.
As soon as we walked in our room, we noticed it was damp and mildewy. Th sheets and furniture had stains on them. This hotel just looked and smelled dirty. I would definitely not recommend. Prices are outrageous for the conditions.
I was not super impressed with this location. We found the room cleanliness to be lacking. We found crumbs and children's clothing items upon arrival. The AC unit was also not functioning properly, which made for an uncomfortable evening. Upon reporting this, the front desk attendant said she would let the manager know.
We had come for a wedding think we had 5 rooms all together. The king size beds were very high. It would be hard for some to climb up on it, I'm sure. One room had a plugged up sink but it was taken care of soon after it was reported, The same room had a problem with the air-conditioner this time they just switched her room. We were able to enjoy the lobby area some of the time. Appreciated having coffee available all day. I was surprised how quite it was cause it's in quite a busy area. The staff we encountered we welcoming. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, waffles fruit etc.
Stayed here a couple of times before, most recent just a few months before this stay. Gone from "amazing seems everything is new and everyone is friendly" to "Meh. Not terrible." Bent hinge prevents closing door to bath, some hair on bath floor, AC ignores input but kept room OK despite not caring what we entered, instant coffee and poor selection at breakfast, and price was much higher than before.
This hotel was very clean and welcoming. We got an excellent nights rest. The breakfast was more than adequate and the staff was very friendly. We recommend staying here. There are several restaurants within walking distance as well.
Rooms smelling, furniture stained and worn out, hvac short cycling and took forever to cool down, bed way too high off of the floor next too impossible for older people too get in or out of cleanliness of the room
I called the hotel and made a reservation about 2 months ago for one night, Saturday April 23. I got a confirmation number over the phone. After driving 8 hours on Saturday, we arrived at the hotel around 4:30 pm. We were told that our reservation had been mistakenly entered into their system for the next night, Sunday April 24. The hotel was completely booked for our night of arrival. I immediately started calling other nearby hotels to be told that probably all hotels in Hattiesburg were booked up because of some kind of tournament in town. Finally I got a room at the most expensive hotel in the area which was not in our budget plans but the choice at this point in the evening was take it or leave it. So LESSON LEARNED, be sure any hotel sends you an EMAIL CONFIRMATION to be sure your room is booked for the correct night and will be waiting for you.
Marginal at best. The good parts: clean, pretty and nice staff. Cons: A/C not working ( solution- change rooms). Billing screwed up -solution: wait until morning they will credit the overcharge which takes 7-10 days to show as a credit and re-bill at the agreed in writing quote. As a gold level member I expect better than this. I was pleasant throughout. The staff on duty late on Sunday cannot fix any of the issues.
Anytime I stay in Hattiesburg, this is the hotel for me! The beds and the rooms are very comfortable. The atmosphere is quiet, and there are plenty of restaurant options to choose from in the immediate area that's in walking distance or not too far to drive. This Best Western is a Premier choice for my Hattiesburg Sales visits!
No protein with breakfast, in spite of it being promised. 4 oz of Trix flavored yogurt doesn't count. Handicapped parking places full and/or long uphill hike. Other entrances have lots of steps. Bloody scraps of paper left in elevator for 4 days. Good soundproofing.
Small but nice lobby and friendly front desk staff. Check in was easy but a little slower than I am accustomed. Elevators moved quickly. Halls were bright and clean. The room itself was a double queen and had adequate space. I could smell lemon scented cleaning products when we entered. Except for corners and nooks around the AC unit that I noticed by accident, the room was clean. Bathroom was clean although I could see bad paint/patch jobs. The bed wasn't the most comfy but it was adequate. TV lost its signal a lot but it was on just for background noise for us because we could hear heavy walking and stomping above us. I put in earplugs. Parking was adequate and the lot was well-lit. The hotel is easy to access from the interstate and there are many restaurants and shopping nearby. Heavily trafficked area. It may not be my first choice of places to stay but if I had to, I would return.
Their 2 bedroom suites are an absolute lie. They are one bedroom. Don't be fooled like I was. You can't advertise something as 2 bedrooms that has one door. Doesn't work that way. Oh and staff terrible. Horrible service.
This is the 2nd time staying at this Best Western when visiting Hattiesburg. This will be where we stay every time. The beds are super, comfy, the staff are super friendly, the breakfast is yummy with many items to choose from. What more could you ask for.
I expected a better hotel as it was a Premier hotel and guest ratings showed high on website. Disappointed with hotel beds - doubles not queen. Elevator area was not cleaned during 3 days I was there. Staff did not follow up on request for bill review.
Our cheer group stayed overnight. A third party site messed up our reservation. Jessica & Aiesha went out of the way to fix the problem. They were a great help when there was an issue in one room. Jessica even bragged on our group. Great experience !!
The first room given to us the shower was dirty and the clerk moved us to another room and the shower was nasty, the ceiling was dirty and the curtains were mildewed. I reported this to corporate who asked me to give the hotel a chance to fix the problem. The manager asked to be notified when we left so housekeeping could go in and clean, and maintenance could go in and clean, I notified them at 11 am that we were leaving and we returned at 9 pm to our room where they left the door open with our belongings inside. I again told the night clerk who only said she was sorry I was having a bad day. This was horrible not wanting to be there and not being able to leave because it was past the cancelation date. I only saw one person in housekeeping in the two days we were there. Come to find out the owner had blocked off the entire fourth floor for his family and housekeeping had been assigned to them there were no luggage carts because they had taken them up with them and keep them until they checked out Saturday. I have stayed at this hotel before and never had this experience its run down and there is no upkeep in sight. I guess they have a new owner its hoorrible. If you enjoy a sanitary hitel this is not it. I would never stay here again
When I usually travel home to Hattiesburg, I stay with family members because I don't stay very long, 3-4 days, and I am traveling alone. Recently, October 2021, I traveled to Mississippi for some family gatherings and went with my husband. I usually have good experiences with Best Western and I knew the general location of the hotel in relation to Hattiesburg. I found the staff to be very friendly and even though I didn't interact with them very often, they were easy to deal with when I did. I will say this I am the kind of person who feels that the stay is going better if I don't have to interact with staff much. There was a slight odor in the room, I have a sensitive nose, my husband didn't notice it, since I was staying for six nights, I just purchased a room air freshener and it was fine. The room was clean, the amenities in the room, refrigerator and microwave were clean as well. I would recommend this as a stopping place when traveling to Hattiesburg, it is centrally located to the University of Southern Mississippi, restaurants, and shopping.
This was a very exceptional experience. All area very clean. Host very exceptional. Room was great and fresh smell. Overall, a awesome place to crash out for a week. Breakfast and host….really great. Love it
The manager at the Hattiesburg location, Travis Koop had no customer service whatsoever. The shower door shattered due to being off the track, while my son was in the bathroom. He never asked if we were ok, went straight into accusing mode, and because I stood up for my son he kicked us out of the hotel. I will neve stay there again.
The room smelled just like mold and Mildew and the shower had mold all over it. So I had to clean the air conditioner filter and vent. Then I had to clean the shower to get the mold out of it. The vents on the ceiling also had mold. I wouldn't recommend going there at all.
Our All Star team stayed here 6 nights during the world Series in Laurel MS. Everything was great. I do wish they had breakfast every morning but other than that they were awesome. The staff was great considering the hotel Was full of ball teams from all over and they were age 12 and under. They allowed them to swim after returning to hotel from ball field even though it was after pool hours. They got us anything we needed and also out up with all those kids and never complained on them. The staff was GREAT
This was our first time and will definitely stop again next vacation. Rooms were super clean and breakfast was great! Within walking distance to a few restaurants. My kids loved the beds. They said they were the most comfortable ever.
We enjoyed the stay in a king suite, room was, spacious, clean and quite. Given the COVID-19 restrictions, breakfast was adiqute with eggs and sausage, All employees were helpful and friendly and in uniform
This hotel is right off the interstate and within a stones throw of the local college. It is right near quite a few restaurants which was nice for us to easily get to for dinner. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. Breakfast was okay, but better than most post-covid. A little more expensive than I would expect in this area for this type of property, but overall a pleasant experience.
What a great stay at this hotel! Wonderful, helpful, & courteous staff! The rooms and common areas were so cleanly! Would recommend highly to anyone traveling in the area! Location and convenience to anything one's heart desires!
We had a great experience at the Best Western Premier in Hattiesburg, MS. The room was very clean, large, and quiet. The staff was excellent and very friendly. They were happy. If we travel through Hattiesburg again, this will be our hotel of choice!!
Was looking for rooms with double queens and pullout for our family trip. Good rates found. Beds were amazingly good but pull out was dirty, found food in the couch, and the mattress was so bad, my son slept with me instead. Only “grab and go” breakfast.
We checked in after a LONG day of driving. The first room was nice but the beautiful 55” TV didn't work. We weren't going to be up late watching it since we were exhausted but it would be nice for it to work since the room was over $100. We called the front desk, she was very nice, she came up and couldn't get it to work so she changed our room. Next room had a much smaller TV but it worked. After trying to get the heater/AC to come on for 20 mins I gave up and went to bed. I'm the type that can't sleep without the sound of an AC and I get really hot when I sleep so I got no rest. Around 3 am I finally fell asleep and someone opens the door to our room. After being jolted awake - sleep was over for the night. There were hairs in the shower and the fire alarm was unplugged..... I could go on. I spoke with 2 desk associates and they weren't empathetic in the least...
Spent a night here enroute to Florida from California. Super friendly staff, beautiful room and very clean. I stayed in nicer places this trip to have a cleaner environment. Would definitely stay there again!
Nice clean hotel with a comfortable bed and room. I only stayed one night but will definately stay at this hotel when I return to Hattiesburg. I was able to check in and out with very little contact with anyone.
Everything was good, really nice room with modern decor with lounge area so there was room to spread out to work. The only issue was the slow internet, but other than that my expectations were acceded.
the breakfast was much better than the other places we stayed on the trip. plenty of places to eat at near by. hotel is easy to get to, close to the interstate would go back when in the area again to see in full operation after 19 is over
My husband and I stayed here overnight while traveling to our destination in Georgia. It was kind of hard finding off the freeway at night, but we found it. The staff at Best Western were very friendly. The rooms were nice and big. The room was clean and beds felt comfortable. They had a decent continental breakfast as well. We actually ended up staying here again on our way back home from Georgia. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
We stayed here in route from Springfield Missouri to Florida. The location was good and the room was clean. However the pool was another matter. There was a total of 8 chairs at the pool, 4 of them had the bottom torn out. The other 4 were taken by a family with 2small.screaming children. The area around the pool Was dirty, to bacon spit, empty ice bags, and cigarette butter. Pu
Overall the hotel looked clean and the rooms themselves were decent and all amenities worked and were provided. The staff was super friendly so that was nice and the location is very close to several restaurants. However, there are definitely bed bugs, three out of six of us woke up with several bites and I did find a dead one in the shower so they are definitely in there which is gross. The breakfast consisted of apples, bars, and water so I'm not sure if they can really say they offer breakfast? If they didn't have bed bugs and there was an actual breakfast I would have given it higher ratings.
This hotel was more than we expected. The staff were friendly and helpful! You can tell great customer service is a priority. The room was clean and the bed really comfortable. We had a really good nights sleep. The breakfast selection was really good. The attendant kept the area very clean and well stocked. We will definitely stay here again!
I checked in to find out the restaurant the hotel advertises as part of the amenities has closed. there is no restaurant here inside the hotel. I checked in at 8pm and had to get in my car to go get food. Not cool. Then the smell came. I didn't notice until 2am when I turned the a/c on but by then it was too late. the whole room stunk of mildew after I turned on the a/c and the whole 2nd floor smelled of mildew and mold when I walked out of my room for breakfast that morning. I spent the next day with a migraine. Don't stay on the 2nd floor.
This hotel was extremely accommodating. I had to change my reservations multiple times, which was quick and easy each time. I would recommend this hotel based on the service alone. Aside from that, the hotel was clean and up to date.
The staff was pleasant, but the facility itself is a little lacking. Mold in the shower, weird lighting in the room, a few things broken, and dirty lobby and elevators. It's a mystery how this is rated so high. Breakfast was bare minimum.
Excellent customer service in all areas for this hotel. Comfortable beds. All service people were very polite which really makes my stay very enjoyable.. I have probably stayed at this hotel over 75 times this past year during my travels.
Visited November 23-25 2019 to come and see a USM Football game my son plays for. I have and currently work in Hotel customer service so I know a great hotel ! This one is outstanding. Brew at the front Desk 3-11 shift is by far the Best I've seen. She is friendly and has a willingness to please. Her smile is contagious. Thanks Bre for the warm welcome!!! Hotel was clean, modern, and very comfortable Beds. Nice room. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Highly Recommended!
The first impression this hotel is nice. It is clean and has decent stylings, but these can't mask the garbage underneath. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on (though, to be fair, this can often just be a personal preference). The bathroom sink drains so slowly that it fills up during use, and the bathroom tank leaks causing it to run all night. The tables in the dining area wobble significantly, causing drinks to slosh all over the surface. Each of these things are relatively minor inconveniences, but add up to a frustrating experience in a hotel that styles itself as “premiere.” But the bigger issues are the rudeness of the hotel staff. On check-in, there were issues with my prepaid reservation. I had a confirmation email with reservation number, but the lady working the desk refused to even look at it. She did call the manager, but he told her to just take a credit card to put on file, and he would talk to me in the morning. So I waited for him to arrive, but when he did he also refused to even look at my confirmation email that I was instructed to show to hotel, and told me it was a problem that I had to resolve. He made no effort to work with me, but literally turned his nose up to me and said there was nothing he could do. He had my credit card, so it wasn't his problem. This was a exceedingly disappointing experience and I strongly advice you to stay anywhere else but here.
I was very satisfied with the overall cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. I'm very picky about cleanliness. i am a neat freak... i had no complaints at this hotel. very comfy beds... I enjoyed my short stay... Thanks BW.
We were there for my granddaughters wedding. Both families and the wedding party stayed here and had a very good time. Very clean and neat and the staff was excellent.. They accommodated us with early check in and helped us have a room to work on wedding flowers. Everyone was very helpful.
After reading the previous reviews I expected a better experience. The bed was extremely high. It was difficult to get in and would be a problem for anyone under 5' 5". The shower floor was very slippery when wet and was a hazard.
We stayed here for a mission trip to Hattiesburg. Every morning we were greeted with the staff at the complementary breakfast with friendly faces. Even on the weekend when it was very busy, there was plenty of places to sit and eat and plenty of food to go around. The rooms were cozy and the mattresses are comfy. Everyone on the trip commented me to how nice the hotel was for the price we were paying.
I stay at this property often and it is a great place to stay. It is clean, comfortable, and the staff is top notch. There are several hotels in the same area but I choose to stay here. Did I mention the staff is great? They are.
Clean, comfortable and friendly. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Breakfast was typical hotel but better than most. We will be back. Another reviewer said it was hard to find but we drove right to it with no problem.
Great stay. Clean, quiet, good location and Outback is across the parking lot. The fitness center was great too. We will be staying here again, just a short trip off 98 but well worth it. There is much more to offer in this area.
I always stay here when in town. The rooms are always clean and spacious, the staff is friendly, the pool is clean , and it's just pleasant with no hassles. Maybe the Andes mints on the pillows this time gave me that added incentive to write a great review!
The accommodations were very nice, comfy and spacious, however the guests at the hotel were very loud and unruly during our stay. We stayed on the 2nd floor and were plagued with loud stomping and running in the room above as well as loud obnoxious neighbors in the abutting rooms to ours hollering and slaming doors. This made for very restless nights and early morning awakenings. Did not eat breakfast because it was too crowded and pickings were slim. Otherwise the staff and facility were great.
We stayed on 3rd floor and WiFi was horrible. We did not report it. My only complaint. Great front desk help. At breakfast they didn't have any meat for breakfast. Very clean and very helpful with items that we ask for.
Had to reroute thru Hattiesburg due to tropical storm, the hotel was full with many evacuees, the hotel was decent but didn't feel like it was real clean especially the bathrooms and for the price have stayed in much nicer places. I think the prices were also inflated due to the storm.
This hotel is convenient and outstanding! Check in was quick and smooth and our room was very clean. The bed was comfortable; breakfast was good and the internet was great. I'll definitely stay here again when passing through Hattiesburg.
I can't really complain about my stay. The hotel was nice and the staff were super helpful. But it would have been nice to know about the large hold that would be put on my debit card for a week. I have stayed at other Best Western Hotels and never had this issue. I have gone back and forth between my bank and the hotel. I will probably find a different hotel the next that I am in Hattiesburg.
This hotel was awesome. They made sure we were checked in in a timely manner, A young man by the name of Kendall who worked at the front desk was exceptional. Room were nicely decorated and had a micro wave and refrigerator....awesome! Beds were comfortable and housekeeping was very accommodating.
I had a very nice stay; however, there were three things that concerned me. The first was the fact that there was no way to make the room completely dark because there was no way to cover the sheer curtain. This also made it very difficult to dress and undress without worrying about being seen by others outside. Yes, the open space from the sheer curtain was that big! Next, the flat screen tv did not work. Nothing but snow my first night. I ended up watching Netflix on my computer. The next night the tv worked, however. Also, there was a humming noise in the bathroom that never stopped. It wasn't a low hum, it was extremely audible and most annoying. Nevertheless, the bed was super comfy. I would certainly stay again.
We always stop in Hattiesburg on our way to Florida and have stayed at this hotel the last 2 years. Very friendly staff and clean comfortable rooms. They have a very good breakfast with many choices for anyone. We will make this our stop always in the future.
This was a great hotel. Clean. Very modern. Good staff. We arrived after 8pm and there were several This was a clean and modern hotel. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Right off the. Expressway and surrounded by restaurants and stores. Will be back.
We came back on Saturday night to find our room door open and approximately $2000 of belongings stolen!! I've never had this before and was awful. They took everything of value even toiletries!! The hotels attitude was very poor and unhelpful?! I made a police report but even after insurance claim will be at a great loss?! Terrible experience and the police man said is quite common there! I will never stay again and want to warn people of there casual attitude with no gestures or compensation at all The owner didn't even show up in the following 2 days we were there?!
Had to stay in Hattiesburg for a week and had a great experience with this hotel. Kendall at the front desk was very cordial. Beds were comfortable. In room single pod coffee pot was great. Housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Convenient to everything Hattiesburg has to offer. Thanks for your hospitality!
Location is horrible and makes hotel hard to find. Staff is not friendly. I stayed here for 2 nights and there was a party in the parking lot on the last night. Looked outside and kids where dancing and playing loud music out of their cars. Hot water was warm and iron didn't work. Just go elsewhere!
We stayed overnight on our way to Florida. Kendall at the front desk was so nice, helpful, and informative about the area. Kelsey at the bar was great! Room was very clean and comfortable. This is a definite stay when we are in the area again
This hotel was one of the nicest hotels I ever stayed at. Once I entered the hotel I detected the cleanliness smell. The front desk was very professional (Kendall was great!) The room was clean and everything felt brand new. The bathroom was beautiful ! So much light, mirrors and very roomy! I stayed in numerous hotels around this one but this will be my choice the 3 times I visit Mississippi! Plus they have an actual breakfast!!! I had sausage and mini omelets and the other day bacon and eggs. Of course you get all the other breakfast things, but this was much different! The pool was clean and very nice. Fitness room was very nice. I would highly recommend this hotel!!!!
NIce location/experience. The staff is extremely courteous and attentive. Beds are comfy. My only problem was that it seemed to be difficult to regulate the A/C. It was either too hot or too cold. The bed also had a sheet and a heavy cover--I would have preferred a medium weight cover.
The Best Western Premier in Hattiesburg, MS is an excellent place to stay. The staff is very friendly. The facilities are awesome, with the rooms very comfortable for when you have to say for an extended period of time to take care of family. The breakfast provided each and every morning is outstanding with multiple options each day. . The room are always clean and fresh. Great restaurants in walking distance. If there is an issue it is taken care of ASAP.
Clean and comfortable! The rooms were clean and the bed was nice. The staff here is very d friendly. Loved the water pressure in the shower and the bathroom was very clean. Would definitely recommend this place to stay
Let me start off by saying, I have stayed at multiple Bestwestern hotels and a lot of other hotel chains throughout the country. This hotel was one of the best if not the best do far. Very close to some good restaurants in walking distance and driving distance. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. I definitely feel the value of the room was equal the price.
The BWP in Hattiesburg created one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. It was the first time for my children to stay in a hotel and they loved everything about it. It is perfectly located off the interstate. The staff was unbelievably friendly. The breakfast warm and delicious. The pool perfectly maintained. If we are in Hattiesburg again, we will definitely stay here and will not consider another hotel.
We'd been traveling from Nashville that morning and had stopped at Chattanooga to see the Choo Choo so it had been a long day. We thought we'd stop at Hattiesburg as it was a small Hop into New Orleans the next day. We used trip advisor to review a couple of places and this was ranked first and the price was reasonable. Wow, the bed was the best I've stayed in over years of travel. The room is spacious and well appointed with quality toiletries. The staff were really friendly and the room rate included free parking, wifi and breakfast. The breakfast was simple and included make you own waffles with sausage, bacon and scrambled eggs plus a range of bagels and pastries. There were a number of places to eat dinner including the Outback Steak House and Hooters within a short walk. A great find!
This is the nicest Best Western I have ever stayed at. The layout of the lobby and dining area were on par with hotels twice as expensive. A small cocktail lounge was located along side. There were a few large tables in the seating area, something I rarely see. The rooms were large with big beds. The TV was set up to receive computer as well as several other inputs. The bathroom featured a large walk-in glass shower. There was no bath. This may be an issue for some. The room had a small coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator nestled in a food pantry like area with shelves and drawers. The staff was extremely courteous. The cleaning crew was fast and efficient. The breakfast staff was diligent. The breakfast was good. It featured fruit, pastries, waffles, bacon/ Sausage, eggs, cereal, and so on. One review I saw recently complained about the Sausage gravy as being the only meat option... well, we had bacon one day and sausage the next. It appears the menu rotates, and really... it's free and it's well made. The MOST important thing was that coffee was free, fresh, and full all day each day we were there. Sure you can make it in your room, as I did. However, why waste your two packets when you have unlimited refills! Now, if they just had free cookies all day... The hotel was easy to get to. It's nestled together with a few other similar hotels in a cluster. A burger place called the Plaid Rhino is right next door. A shopping center with other food options is right across the highway. This hotel is essentially located on a main strip where several food places and major shopping chains are easily assessable. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat.
This is a great place to stay. Close to everything, safe area and easy to get to get to. The staff is wonderful & the breakfast is on point! The rooms are great and room service is excellent! Wonderful beds too!!
Not only is this the Best Hotel in Hattiesburg, it's convenient for my purposes and I can walk out the back door to the Plaid Rhino. It's also convenient to most other popular restaurants. Another plus is two turns and I'm on the Interstate. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when in Hattiesburg.
Very clean and modern facility! Parking lot is well-lit at night, which was particularly important to me, since I was traveling alone. Convenient to restaurants, shopping and easy on/off major highways. All employees were friendly and professional. Check-in and out was quick and hassle free. I'm a light sleeper, but the bed was perfect and the room was very quiet. I stayed 5 nights, so I thoroughly enjoyed the wide selection at breakfast each morning
This place is in one of the motel valleys. It is on the Interstate and noisy. The minute I checked in I was I told that I was in a handicapped room because I booked on Expedia. For 2 nights it was tolerable but if I return, I will stay elsewhere and not in a cluster of motels! The food was not too great . The first night there were lots of men drinking and gathered around a truck. It was the Spring so no tailgating! It is convenient to Miss Southern.
The staff at the hotel is very nice and accommodating. I stayed here for five days while on a work trip. I had no problems while there. The coffee station was always stocked and the breakfast was good. I really enjoyed the omelets. Overall, it was a good stay in a very good location (only minutes from the University). The bed was comfortable and they always cleaned my room and restocked the soaps and coffee station while I was gone for the day. The soap holder in the shower was tiny and you had to put the shampoo and conditioner on the floor, so I would definitely ask for a handicap room if you are older or have trouble bending, but for someone in good health, it was fine.
While the staff was pleasant and the rooms were typical, this Best Western is by far NOT a Premier property in the BW scheme. There was nothing special about the rooms, unless one counts a bed so high, a ladder is needed to get into it. The shower lacked anywhere to put anything except a small bar of soap. Woe to he who wants to use shampoo, which must be located far out of reach outside of the shower or on the floor of the shower. Breakfast was typical of the meal at any regular Best Western, except this one did not have any meat, unless sausage gravy is considered meat. I mentioned it at check-out and the response was they must have been out of meat that day. The last BW Premier we stayed in offered a sit down breakfast, waitress-served, with made-to-order eggs, a choice of meats, and more. The BW Premier in Hattiesburg is not even as well appointed as the regular Best Western in Westminster, Maryland, which at least offers omelets to order at breakfast. (Well, there was a large-screen TV in the room. I guess that must count for something).
We've never stayed in a BW “premier” before. Nicer than a typical best western. Friendly, helpful, hardworking staff. Price was ok. A little high. But it's Comparable to other hotels in area. Bar in lobby. Room was nice and clean. We received extra blankets upon request. Mattress was a little too firm, but that's just my preference. Breakfast was free. Pretty typical. I read they sometimes have bacon but today they had eggs and sausage. No biscuits. They had a waffle maker, plus the typical breads, fruit, yogurt, etc. Plenty of room to sit in breakfast area. Overall I'd highly recommend. We will definitely be back if passing through Hattiesburg.
Smaller hotel with a nice breakfast area. King size bed was at least 3ft high from floor to top of mattress. I nearly needed the hassock to climb up into bed. This was a one night stay before arriving in FL. Ultra modern bathroom. A teeny tiny soap dish holder or the floor for your shower toiletries. White blinking light on ceiling was distracting for one of us.
I am staying on points and two charges where made to my card. I was told no charges would be made to my room. The front desk apologized then stated there was nothing they could do. I do not have confidence in this hotels charging policies.
first the power went out (no where else in the area except this hotel) and I had to get ready for my daughters HS graduation in the dark. For their encore they double charged me after I checked out and I still have not gotten my money back
Comfortable and convenient. Good breakfast provided. Friendly staff. Spacious and clean. Will stay again when in the area. Close to restaurants and entertainment areas. Appears to be kid friendly. Nice toiletries.
Great modern clean hotel Recommended and will use again Can't fault anything about it and I will definitely be returning Much better than the other supposed up market hotels locally So go for it if you want to stay in this area HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This was a nice hotel, clean, accommodating and friendly staff, great breakfasts. Beds were too high for accessible needs - when they are too high, they are a safety issue. Reported this to front desk and she seemed sincere about reporting it to the manager. No hot water in the sink - wasn't fixed correctly. Walls are thin so could hear snoring in the next room, arguments upstairs and kids running across the room. For this reason, I would say the value of the hotel is not as high as they are charging.
Adequate accommodations, large selection of breakfast items, clean and comfortable rooms. Pool area nice for chatting, and friendly staff. Workout room very suitable for a traveling workout. Easy check in and check out.
The BW University Inn, in Hattiesburg, MS was as close to perfect as you can get . We were offered a room that was just two doors down from the lobby which made our old knees happy. The only negative was a small stain on the foot blanket, but it did not keep us from enjoying the room.
This hotel is a little out of sight from the road. We had a friendly and easy check-in. The place is very clean and modern. Very high and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Two things I noticed in the bathroom was you can't stop the water from going out of the sink so when you shave you just have to let the water run and only a small soap dish in the shower, no shelf's to put shampoo or other things. This wouldn't stop us from staying here again.
We will definitely stay here again in the future. The hotel is very nice and clean. The breakfast is nice (bacon one day and sausage the next, waffles/yogurt/cereal/pastries everyday). The best thing about this hotel is the location. You can get to and from USM campus on the back roads and never have to get on Hardy Dr. You can also get to many of the local restaurants without having to get on Hardy Dr and battle that traffic. Highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel was wonderful and beyond my expectations. The room was nice and big. The bed was comfortable and the staff was nice and very accomdating. I enjoyed my time at this hotel and I would stay here again.
Hotel was pleasant, fresh and clean. Very comfortable bed. Two things to complain about: Extremely loud bathroom fans that could not be turned off and that could be heard in the room even with the bathroom door closed, and that a Premier hotel that advertises "full breakfast" has no eggs on the menu when "lesser" (and cheaper) hotels do. No bacon either, btw.
There is so much to love about this hotel that it's hard to be critical. But, that's the point of the review process so here's my input. There were a few very minor things that I noticed that many people probably would not have paid any attention to. I saw a spot on the hallway wall that had been touched up with paint that didn't blend perfectly and a place on the bathroom wall that had been patched and painted, but the underlying patch was not professional enough to remove the tell-tale sign of the patch itself. The bathroom had neither an (optional) heating lamp nor an exhaust fan (preferably with a separate switch from the overhead lighting). Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as there were opportunities missed for substantial improvement. The hot breakfast offerings (aside from the oatmeal and the ubiquitous waffle iron) were limited to powdered eggs and (rubbery) bacon. The addition of breakfast potatoes, biscuits and gravy, or better yet, eggs to order would have been wonderful. But, as with the rest of the hotel, the breakfast area was squeaky clean and well-maintained by an attendant who was constantly in motion cleaning and replenishing the food items. I don't know when this hotel was built, but it looks brand new and is very modern in it's design and decor. Cudos to the decorators! The bright colors and patterns are very attractive and, as previously mentioned, immaculate. I checked in late at night and Barry was at the front desk. He was kind, courteous, and very helpful to a weary traveler. I would guess that the cost of my stay was only a nominal increase (10%-20%) over what I might have paid for a Best Western or Best Western Plus hotel in this area. But, I think that, at this price point, the rate represents a very good value for the dollar spent. I've stayed at plenty of Hiltons, for example, that were not as nice as this hotel. The parking area is well-lit easily accessible from the nearby Interstate highway. I would definitely stay here again and I highly recommend this hotel.
Clean and safe place to stay at a very good rate. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good, and the coffee hot...not much to complain about. It was a bit far from William Carey University (where I was going several times a day), but that was due to traffic conditions...which were way worse than expected! Regardless, I would definitely stay here again.
The room was nice and clean. We enjoyed the king bed along with the additional furniture. It had a club chair with ottoman, a desk and chair that made it easier to relax along with a microwave and small refrigerator. We enjoyed the breakfast the next morning with waffles that you could make, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt, orange or pineapple juice, cereal, bananas, apples along with several different pastries to choose from. I would recommend this place to stay to everyone.
Whenever I visit, I always stay at this hotel. The rooms are nice, and the complimentary breakfast is delicious! The meat options change with each day, but I had sausage links, omelette, waffle, fruit, and yogurt. You can also walk right over to Outback Steakhouse or Hooters to grab a bite to eat. It is also conveniently located--not far from southern miss or mall.
We have stayed at a lot of Best Westerns but never at a Premier. I really didn't see anything different about a premier than a regular Best Western. The room was nice but certainly not any larger or more amenities than any other. The breakfast was merely ok, nothing special. The staff at the front desk were very nice.
We stayed here for a dance competition. We are picky and this hotel is wonderful. Great costumer service and the beds are to die for. The breakfast was typical fare but eggs and meat were different on each of the two mornings we were there. This was a nice touch. It was very quiet. The staff asked my daughter how she did each time we came back.
We always enjoy staying at Best Western. They offer good quality for the money. The breakfast is always a good way to start the day. The room was nice and not too small. Staff was friendly and helpful.
This was our 2nd stay. We love this hotel. Clean, quiet, great staff and great everything! We will definitely always stay when we're in Hattiesburg! This hotel will be our go to and I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers! Great for families and for large groups!
We had an awesome stay and look forward to staying again. I wish I knew the girls name that was at front desk but she was AMAZING the air wasn't working in our room and she moved us to the room across from us not only did she move us rooms so it was better for us she just moved us right across the hall so it was super easy! The beds are so comfortable and the rooms have always been clean. I love the bathrooms alone because the light in the merrier (I wish I had one at home) over all both times we have stayed they have been amazing and the people have always been so nice!
Hotel and the room was very clean and the service was excellent. We likes the location since every thing we needed was close by. And of course the breakfast was very nice too. Good value for the money.
We stopped at this hotel on our way from Michigan to New Orleans. Was extremely pleased with the hotel. It was very clean. The room was very nice. The beds were comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was not bad for the quality. The only thing that I could say that wasn't amazing about this hotel is when people would run in the hall it was kinda loud. But maybe people shouldn't run in the hall. If we ever need to stay near Hattiesburg again we'll definitly be staying here again. It's right off the highway and near a lot of food places and stores.
Stayed for a week studying for an exam, hotel clean, very well kept, breakfast decent, around the clock coffee and tea made it easier to stay indoors and not leave the property , cleaning staff stopped by every day to check and see what services were needed
Very nice Best Western Hotel with easy access to the interstate. A new place for us to stop on our way to Texas. The hotel gave us all we needed for our overnight stop. the breakfast was good and provided what we needed to get us on our way. The room was clean and just what we need for a good nights rest. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
The Best Western University Inn in Hattiesburg, MS was the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed in!! My room and bathroom, and the hotel kitchen and dining room were spotless!! The beds and bedding were very comfortable, too!
The layout of the bathroom is not user friendly, not enough towels, hard water, and lack of shelving in the shower. all the rest of the room was great. bed was very comfy, the AC unit was perfect. The room is dimly lit but it was ok I wanted to sleep.
This is a lovely hotel and I was beyond pleased with my experience there. The staff was not only helpful, but delightful. The rooms are very large and nicely appointed. The bathroom is lovely with a wonderful illuminated mirror. I will look for this brand again.
Nice & clean hotel with nice staff. But noisy and poor /slow wifi. I could hear people walking and vacum cleaners running most of the time.Overall it was a good stay. Breakfast was fresh tasty and free.
Avoid this hotel. There were so many things wrong but the following were our main issues: a blood stain on the sheet, hair on the bed as I pulled the covers back, a used bar of soap in the shower and a hole/indent on the floor that is not visible until you almost twist your ankle. We were moved to another room only to find that bathroom dirty as well and the carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed. Couldn't speak to a manager until the morning, and she made us feel like she didn't believe us. She agreed to a $20 discount and stated there was nothing else she could do. While speaking to her, a male custodian stood near me as if I was threatening and he was ready to jump me. I'm a 5"3" female. On my way back to my room, I was meet with dirty looks by the housekeeping staff on our floor. Overall, this was an awful experience and after checking my card, I did not receive any discount; instead I was charged twice. Lastly, the mgr did say the general mgr would call me the next day since he wasn't there. I'm yet to hear from anyone. After reading so many positive reviews, I was very disappointed.
I stayed here for four nights with my adult daughters over the Thanksgiving holiday. The staff was amazing--smiling faces, very personable and helpful. I called to make my reservation, and the person I spoke with answered every question I had with sincere good humor and without any impatience, making me feel as though my time and needs were important to her. The people working the front desk in the lobby handled the few requests I made (extra towels, etc.) immediately and with a smile, telling me their goal was to make their guests feel at home. In fact, they repeated that statement several times during our stay, and I can tell you that they definitely achieved their goal. The room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. The food at their breakfast bar was delicious and plentiful--everything from cold cereal to oatmeal, eggs and bacon/sausage to make-your-own waffles, add-ins and toppings galore, plus juice/milk/coffee/tea...AND fresh fruit! They even had Greek yogurt, three different kinds of bread for toast, pastries, and bagels (with cream cheese!). Even ten minutes before breakfast was supposed to end, the buffet was well stocked with whatever you wanted from their selection. I have to manage my diet, and they made that very easy. Plenty of restaurants within a few minutes walk/drive--from fast-food to sit-down fancy eating. It's near I-59 and within five minutes of both a Wal-Mart and a very large shopping center (Target; Ross; Bed, Bath, and Beyond; etc.). The next time I travel to Hattiesburg and need a hotel, I will definitely plan on staying at BWP University Inn again!
We had a very relaxing stay in the Hattiesburg Best Western on our final day of our anniversary getaway. Our king-room accommodations were very comfortable with many amenities and the staff were hospitable and helpful. During our brief repeat-stay we again enjoyed a couple of Hattiesburg's wonderful restaurants. Highly recommend a stay.
Everyone was friendly no complaints great place easy to get to comfy bed and quiet no problems at all we was just passing through on our way home and we traveled with a 1 year old he had a great time playing with no problems.
I stayed here four nights with my husband from November 2- November 6. We were in town for a wedding we were in and had never been to Mississippi before. I was blown away by the quality of this hotel. It was EXTREMELY clean and felt brand new, and cleanliness is something I always look for in a hotel. The lobby, room, and bedroom were spotless and smelled clean. I loved it. The staff was both friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect. The hotel was very quiet at night which I appreciated too. I would stay here again in a heartbeat if I ever find myself back in Mississippi.
I stayed overnight while visiting family for the weekend. The hotel was conveniently located; the room was clean; the furnishings were top-notch for a hotel in this price range. The only problem I had was that the TV remote wasn't working, but they got me another one right away. Two thumbs up.
It's a clean and beautiful hotel, I was very disappointed that out of 3 remotes, none worked. You couldn't turn it manually. It was the only problem I had there but to me it was a major thing cause I want to relax and watch tv. The front desk attended tried to help by giving me all three remotes, they just didn't work.
I've stayed at this hotel on my travels through this area in the past couple of months. The experience was excellent. The staff is very accommodating and the facility is clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through this area.
While the hotel is, as always, clean and comfortable, the clerk made feel anything but. He was courteous and professional, but his two BLM armbands show his racial animosity. BLM has publicly called for the murder of white people and police officers and I find it unprofessional to support such hatred while acting as a representative of Best Western.
Stayed at this hotel to attend football game. Room was excellent. Service was outstanding. Nice and quiet area. Breakfast was great with several food items to select from. Spacious rooms. Will stay here again.
We were greeted pleasantly; but there was a computer glitch at the moment, so we had a bit of delay checking in--nothing terrible--we got in our room quickly and the matter was remedied within 15 minutes or so and we had all the paperwork done. The room was nicely sized, clean and well prepared. There are enough outlets for powering/charging phones and other devices. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint involves the coffee--there was only artificial creamer available; at least I didn't see any half and half or milk available. That seems to be a common issue in the south. We did not use the pool or the fitness center, and except to say that the pool is small, we don't have any real comment. All in all, a good stay and good value.
I was pleased with the hotel in all areas. It was easy to access the highway and close to everything you need. I also felt safe and the hotel was quiet and clean. Staff was very nice and accommodating. I didn't eat breakfast but it was offered
Service was great, staff were very friendly, amenities were great, beds were comfortable, total room package was enjoyable. tv was a little small however. I did not watch television, but with a larger screen size, i would have incentive or be more inclined on just kicking back and watching a show or two.
Potty didn't flush.I had to call for a plunger. Poor WIFI connection. Shower got entire floor wet. Not enough towels to dry floor. The room was nice but cramped. The bed was very comfortable. There was no clock with a visible display.
This hotel had everthing; beautiful clean rooms, comfy bed and pillows, non-fog mirror in the bathroom (important for the ladies), amazingly courteous and helpful personnel, great breakfast and Andes mints on the bedside table. Loved the visit and cannot wait to go back.
We were passing through Hattiesburg and we decided to stay and we were very pleased with our stay! The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were very clean. The breakfast was very good. They had scrambled Eggs and bacon, oatmeal, cereal and pastries with coffee. It was an excellent stay!
This is a GREAT STAY, clean, and lovely. I usually don't want to touch the carpet in most hotel rooms much less walk on it in bare feet. This hotel was great! Five star in cleanliness and helpfulness. Large closet, full length mirror ladies. Plenty of area outside the bathroom to apply makeup and do hair as well. The beds were comfy and terrific. The continental breakfast crew did everything they could to keep up but were inundated by a ball team crew and parents; it took them a bit to recover, but they did. This hotel is the BEST! Makes the DoubleTree I stayed in NOLA a couple of years ago look like a 2 star. Will definitely check out more BW in the future. Sure hope they all compare to this one.
Great property. Remodeled to a new, much higher standard. Best BW we're ever stayed at, and we've been staying at BW's for years of travel. Incredible beds. You will sleep well here. Bathroom fully updated and comfortable furniture. Lots of electrical outlets, great AC, big TV, 24-hour coffee, small fridge in room, fast Wi-Fi. Very personable staff.
I was in Hattiesburg for a conference. My stay was extremely comfortable. I was traveling alone, but felt safe and secure for 4 nights. It is a very quiet hotel with a great breakfast! The only negative was Wifi. It was weak. Overall a great stay!
This was one of the nicer locations I have been to. Everyone was very nice and I had a good time at the bar. Food and drinks were good. I had trouble finding they so I called & they gave me directions. Would definitely recommend.
No sleep for us. Three nights with no rest was very frustrating. We had a noisy, rattling bathroom exhaust fan that ran all night long. No shut off option on the fan, just continuous noise. Reported the noise but staff did nothing to repair or move us to another room.
This was my second time staying at this hotel when in town for a home football game. My first experience was great. This experience was good, but I alerted the front desk staff to an issue in the room and the response was far less than expected.
The room was clean . Bed was great. Pool was too cold . But over all the stay was wonderful. Will definitely stay at Best western Premier again . The back door by pool wouldn't work with swipe card. Reported it to morning shift personnel and was immediately taken care of.
We were in town for a football game, and had an excellent experience here! The hotel is close to sooo many restaurants and stores. There's a gas station within walking distance to stock up your mini fridge. The bathroom was a nice size, had a great mirror, and the shower pressure was perfect. The beds were slightly firm, yet comfortable. The breakfast was good, and the staff kept up with it making sure everything was filled and fresh. The fitness center was very clean and effective. Overall, I would definitely recommend booking this hotel!
Came to town for football game. Hotel was very nice. Room was clean and spacious. Close to everything. could walk to Hooters and Outback. Housekeeping did a nice job cleaning room. Barely a mile from campus. Had a great stay. Would stay again if I had a reason to be in the area again.
I've stayed at my fair share of Best Western hotels across 4 states. This was the absolute best by far. I was warmly greeted at check-in. And I can't say enough about the upscale & contemporary decor of the room. The room was also clean with a comfortable bed. Most importantly the room was under $90, making it an EXCELLENT value. This was my first time in Hattiesburg. If I return, I will stay here again without hesitation.
Very nice hotel with good location, close to several restaurants. One of few hotels I have stayed at with 24 hour pool and fitness. That and the amazingly friendly land professional lady at check in will make me want to stay here again when in H'burg.
great rooms at a decent rate. great proximity to local attractions, stores and restaurants. will stay here again for business and leisure. pool was great as was the complimentary breakfast buffet. beds were also very plush.
This hotel was really clean and neat; The decor was really nice. The breakfast was great. Great hotel to stay in for relaxation or business. I will stay here again whenever I have to come back to Hattiesburg!!!!!!
The hotel is in a good area of Hattiesburg to get to restaurants and shopping. Hotel was very clean and kept up nicely. Two issues I had was the bed was not that comfortable. I did have a back ache for a couple days. The other issue is that both elevators were long over due for some maintenance check up. They constantly made a noise while using them. Like the chains needed to be oiled or realigned. Other than those two things our stay was excellent.
This is a new property with excellent facilities. It is nicely decorated and offers quest everything needed during standard travel. The hotel staff are friendly, and I could not help noticing that it is better staffed than similar properties by other hotel chains.
Second time staying here due to moving son to college and had no problems. The staff was friendly, room clean, food was good. We thought it was a great price for the service recieved and will stay here again if in town. Cleaning lady very kind and helpful. Did a great job on our room. Internet was a little slow at times but overall satisifed with our stay.
Our stay was good, everything was clean, beds were comfortable. Clean towels and linens. Bathroom was clean and for the price of the room I felt that the product received was a good value. Breakfast was great coffee was good I enjoyed everything about the best western experience.
We stayed one night on our way to Florida. The room was very clean and the staff were friendly. We will definitely stay here again next year for our trip to Florida again. Everything you need is close to this hotel also!
Very nice accommodations at a reasonable price. Clean, quiet room, friendly, helpful staff, many amenities, restaurants close by, easy access to highways. Serves a good hot breakfast. I would stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.
Great Hotel - Clean and Spacious for kids. Needed a place to sleep on way back from vacation. Googled hotel on Trip Advisor and they gave it a great rating. Was very happy with staff, room and breakfast!
Room was clean, cold air conditioning, bed was very comfortable!!! (Wish I could take the mattress home with me.) We liked the separate sitting area. Great breakfast selection of cold and hot food; I especially enjoyed the omelet and sausage. We really enjoyed our stay and we're impressed with this hotel!
Once we walked in our room we were hit with a disgusting smell. It smelled like dog food as if a pet was there before us. And this hotel clearly says no pets allowed. After a while you get used to it but what could you do. The staff offered to have housecleaning clear it up but we had settled already after an 8 hr drive. The room itself was nice and bathroom even nicer. But with the smell we cannot give this hotel a high rating.
My husband and I had decided to just take a day off close to home and almost always stay at Best Westerns. This hotel was perfect. We had a relaxing time at the pool and enjoyed our time away from home in the comfortable room. Only thing that would have made it better was if the lounge had been open on Sunday.
I have no complaints. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was. Very clean and had an extensive breakfast, although I don't eat it. Front desk help was very helpful and location is right around a lot of eating spots.
Stopped here for the night on our way from OK to Destin. Right off the highway which made it easy to find. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable. We always try to stay at Best Western and breakfast here compared to others was a little disappointing but it was free so can't complain. Would recommend and will visit again when passing through.
Very nice place. First time in years I've stayed in a Best Western. I was pleasantly surprised with the updated style from the old Best Westerns. Everything was clean and the staff was nice. Breakfast would fill the empty spot in your stomach but was not exceptional. I do believe it's a good value. I will continue to use the Best Western Premier Hotels if possible when traveling.
I came to this hotel to work on my wedding planning. It was extremely clean and nice throughout my stay (2 nights). The bed was super comfortable and I slept very well, and I am a horrib sleeper. As a woman traveling alone, I felt safe the whole time I was at this hotel. Great place!
great place to stop for a quick overnight stay-staff was friendly and helpful. breakfast was fresh and hot; bed was a little soft but still comfortable; loved the updated shower. Everything was quiet and restful. We stayed at this same hotel one year ago traveling home on vacation.
We were traveling from GA to LA for my mom's 103rd birthday. We stopped in Hattiesburg for the night. We didn't have a reservation and several of the hotels in the area were booked up. We were able to get a nice room at a great price at the Best Western Premier. I will be staying there again next time I am passing thru the area.
Just an all around business value...always have out of town employees stay here...never heard a bad review. The staff is always handing their business which, leaves my employees free to work...that is a major plus!!
Such a great deal! Updated, clean and extremely comfortable beds. Good water pressure and AC worked wonderfully. Breakfast has a waffle maker-always a bonus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Pool is small but great for a swim at night.
Our room had that fresh paint and carpet smell. I called ahead to verify my room, and the attendant remembered me. The room was clean and tidy. The breakfast had waffles, eggs, oatmeal, cold cereals, yogurt, bacon and sausage. Everyone in my family was happy!
The only negative I have was internet speed and breakfast selections!! Otherwise, I highly recommend staying there. There were 8 of us and no one had any complaints. It is very close to several restaurants but definitely eat at the Crescent City Grill!!
I stay at this hotel every other month when I come here on business.... you would think the front desk clerks would remember me and try to accommodate me, I remember them very well.....I always reserve a suite, and ask for downstairs..... but rarely given one. This stay had me staying on the 3rd floor, very noisy with a view of the overflowing trash dumpster below and a brick wall from building next door. Its time to look for a new place to stay, where my business will be appreciated.
Hotel was clean and comfortable. We didn't use any of the amenities other than the over crowded breakfast area. The only thing I didn't like was after upgrading to a suite, we were charged for pillows to use on the sleeper sofa.
Very nice hotel. I recommend staying here and will definitely stay again when in Hattiesburg. The rooms are clean and hotel is new. I Typically I stay in Hampton Inn but would choose this over Hampton
This was a great hotel to stay at for a very reasonable price. The rooms were very clean and there was a nice breakfast in the morning. My only complaint was that there are no shelves in the shower to place things like shampoo and conditioner. There was a small soap dish that would work if you used travel sized items. I would definitely stay again when passing through Hattiesburg.
This hotel was a good deal but I was disappointed because in the first room we had roaches I saw 3 and the hotel was booked up so I couldn't move to another room. The internet would not work properly it kept logging me out so I couldn't use it and could not do a lot of stuff I needed to do and lastly the second elevator was out of service and the lights went on and off in the morning. Also went to the pool and it was nasty needed cleaning. To me those are things that should not happen on a 3.5 star rated hotel. If those things were fixed I would stay there again but don't want to take another chance especially with the roaches and the pool.
Rooms and hotel lobby was clean. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was clean and updated. Everything worked fine. Conveniently located close to lots of restaurants and the mall. Would definitely stay here again
Our stay was great! The room was clean and quiet, with everything in order. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff very helpful. Our check in and check out were quick and easy. Overall our stay was perfect!
Ridiculous entrance and exit. Walking down stairs through mud and standing water carry luggage to get in and out. The lady at the front desk was so rude to the family checking in before me I was embarrassed for them. She was so rude to me that I felt sorry for her because she was so miserable.
This hotel is safe, clean and the staff is courteous. It is located close to several nice restaurants and the university. The pool is nice but small and surrounded by the parking lot. Generally speaking it is a good place to stay and we will stay again on our next visit.
Barry did a tremendous job. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were nice. Great front desk staff. Nice location, very convenient. Nice ambiance to the hotel. We enjoyed our stay, I think that you will too.
Fantastic hotel, very clean very helpful staff. Laying in bed now and it is oh so comfortable. Definitely a place to stay when here. Can't wait to eat the breakfast. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
Stayed here in March '17 on my family's trip down to New Orleans on spring break. Nice enough place and had a decent stay, but had a charge afterwards on my card that was unexpected. Called the hotel and found out it was for 'stolen pillows'. 100% positive my family didn't steal any pillows. Anyhow, called the hotel two times and asked to speak to a manager about it. Was told I would receive a call back when manager was available. Never happened. Filed a dispute with my credit card company and it was concluded that their documentation warranted the charge. Not sure what exactly they documented....but I assure you I did not steal any pillows. I don't really even care about the charge, but spending my valuable time to try to speak to someone at the hotel about this and they don't return a call or care at all makes me angry. And that you somehow have documentation of something that is not true is a little upsetting. I could not really care less that you ripped me off for a few bucks, but just warning folks that there are other quality places to stay at in the area that won't try to rip you off for a few bucks every chance they get, so I would suggest pursuing those options.
Very clean, nice arrangement of breakfast items, nice pool for the kids, friendly staff, decent parking, restaurants in walking distance. This is our 2nd year staying due to our kids attending camp at USM. It is in a great location and we watched it being built! They keep the grounds well maintained and the inside as well.
Great value. Walking distance to several restaurants. Very clean and updated. Nice room and bed. Dude above me from a deep sleep walking around at 2am. Several hotels in the area this one seems to be the best value
Very Comfortable bed. Almost average everything else. Poor breakfast buffet. Omelette-esk type egg things and microwave sausage. NO BACON. Stay at a cheaper hotel and go to Waffle House. Get the ALL*STAR
Super hotel except for the heighth of the bed. Room was clean and service was great. Checkout was easy. Bed was very comfortable. Bed was very high and I needed a stool to mount it. We have stayed here before and enjoyed our visit and will stay here again.
Hotel is in a very busy area with several other hotels. Hotel is clean. Staff is nice. Internet is slow, just AWFUL almost non-existent !! EXTREMELY NOISY!! Housekeeping was noisy!! Heard every move EVERYONE made!!
Clean, comfortable hotel. Staff excellent. Love the lady cleaning rooms - so nice and pleasant. So nice. Quiet. Great location. Only complaint was slow Internet. Desk staff were very nice and accommodating.
Beautiful hotel that is upgraded and in a great location. This was a go between coming back from Florida headed back home to Oklahoma and glad we picked this hotel! Free breakfast, great amenities in every room, and very clean. Will definitely be staying again!
We were visiting Hattiesburg, MS for The University of Southern Mississippi (USM) freshman orientation. This was our second time staying at this Best Western. We plan to make this hotel our choice when visiting our daughter at USM. This is a great place to stay!
What a pleasant experience. Will absolutely stay at this hotel again. The room was as nice as many of the expensive hotels I've stayed at. The beds were very cozy. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Close to many restaurants.
I was more than pleased with our room, the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. It was one of the best hotel experiences I've had. Staff let my kids take a brief swim even though we checked in late.
We had the privilege to stay at this BW in Hattiesburg. We were greeted by Travis with a big smile & hello. He was very helpful in answering our questions about the local area. Our room was very spacious & very clean. We had a little trouble in locating the hotel as it lacked signage on the main road and our GPS was a bit off. But I'm glad we found it. Breakfast the next day was really great. Josh was managing the breakfast & greeted us with a good morning. I had a little trouble finding the the tea bags due to the area being spread out but that is a good thing as people could be served faster. Josh got me one out of the cupboard & also told me where they were located on the bar. Josh also went out of his way to ask each customer if he could get them anything else. Exceptional service at this hotel & happy staff.
BWP is located near Hardy, but far enough away to be quiet. Happened to stay over USM spring graduation, but no family graduating. While the hotel was full there was no issue with loud parties, etc. Good place. Prices can vary from day to day.
We were impressed with the friendliness of the hotel staff. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean. There were lots of places to plug in electronics for recharging. We checked out at 6AM and the lady preparing breakfast made sure we had a cup of coffee and a sweet roll for the road. I would not hesitate to stay at this Best Western again.
It's been 15 years, at least, since our last day at a Best Western....but that will change! This is a wonderful hotel, in a great location will be visiting University of Southern Mississippi or Hattisburg.
This property is lovely and beautifully kept. Every employee bent over backward to help. The room is super comfortable. It was easy to regulate the temperature in the room. It is also extremely affordable.
This stay was just one night long, but it was so amazing! The rooms were very nice with tall beds that were super comfortable. In the bathroom they even had a little sewing kit. I mean down to the very smallest detail, it was taken care of.
I stay in Hattiesburg occasionally to visit my daughter at college. This is, by far, my favorite place to stay. It's right off the highway, close to the college, and close to every restaurant and store you could ever want. Yet, it is very peaceful and quiet in the middle of all of that. The front desk staff is amazing at hospitality, knowledge, and concern for your needs. Afternoon beverages and snacks are offered on a menu, and a full breakfast is included in the morning. The breakfast is the only thing I can't rave about but I think it's because everything else is impeccable and it is standard fare, nothing special. The beds, however, are special! They are firm but extremely comfy. And the rooms are updated and large. The huge shower and lighting in the bath are my favorites! I would recommend this jewel to anyone staying in the Hattiesburg area!
I stayed here for 4 nights. The employees were very friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I liked the breakfast. Not a big buffet but like a continental breakfast with something hot each morning. I loved the gravy biscuits. I would highly recommend this place.
This hotel in Hattiesburg, MS decor is modern and beautiful. The staff are so friendly they will go out their way to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel is in a wonderful location. The King Size Bed was sooooo comfortable! BWP has the best price for an upscale hotel.
The location is right near everything. The staff is helpful and welcoming. The hotel decor is light and colorful. Plenty of parking. Not my first time staying here and I plan on returning again. The breakfast buffet has a wide range of hot and cold food, cereals and fruits. Nice way to start your day.
Great location, just off the interstate near Univ of Southern Mississippi and William Carey University. Also within walking-distance to several restaurants. The free breakfast was surprisingly good! We will stay there again on future trips.
the staff is always very helpful and accommodating the rooms are clean and it is near a few good restaurants, it is neutrally located within the Hattiesburg area. the conference room is always clean and quiet
Wonderfully appointed lobby and beautiful landscaping. Rooms are attractive and clean as well as comfortable. Based on quality and price I will definitely stay at BWP again. This definitely not your father's Best Western.
Best western has improved with Premier very good will stay again hotel staff very professional and helpful room decor was good as well as the bath towels TV channels ok breakfast good and changed menu daily.
This was a great hotel. The rooms were great, the bed was amazing and the breakfast was excellent. I have nothing but great things to say about my experience here. I would highly recommend this hotel to others passing through
BW Premier in Hattiesburg was wonderful. From check-in to check-out, it was wonderful. The staff is overly friendly, the internet is superior, the beds are COMFORTABLE and the breakfast is excellent for a continental. I will stay here every time.
Ok, this was the first time I stayed at a Best Western, and I was blown away! Modern, clean, comfortable rooms, plenty of parking, friendly staff, great breakfast options! This location is within walking distance to several restaurants. My only complaints, minor, is the not so great water pressure and slow drains. We were on the 4th floor. Now that this hotel brand is on my radar, I will consider them for future stays!
haven't stayed at best western in years, but will look for this new line on next trip- great hotel (am generally a bit hard to please). front desk staff extremely knowledgeable & concerned with each guest. room quality & decor top notch; beds awesome (i never said this before). coffee good but weak breakfast. overall excellent stay- would highly recommend.
Due to a family ilness that struck suddenly I was rushed in to traveling to MS and discovered this hotel. A beautiful Gem! Excellent designed rooms like in NYC or Los Angeles but a great reasonable price and friendly staff. At this hotel you aren't far from Gulfport MS or New Orleans, also Texas it Arkansas. Lots.of restaurants surround the hotel. Enjoy your stay Aj
Everything was clean and new! Guys at the front desk went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. My husband was excited about the serving of beer! After our very long drive! We will defiantly stay here again.
I have not stayed in a Best western for years. This is one of the best hotel I have stoped at in a long time! I travel a lot. The bed was wonderful ! The room was clean, quite and breakfast was great! The breakfast had oatmeal and other hot items, not just cold sweet rolls or rubber eggs. I would high recommend this hotel if your are in Hattiesburg MS.
This was our first hotel stay in Hattiesburg. The hotel staff was very friendly and the rooms were very nice. The fitness center was adequate as I only used the treadmill. Breakfast was pretty good for a continental style breakfast. My only complaint would be the carts for transporting the luggage were small compared to most other hotels. But overall it was a very pleasant stay. And we would consider staying there again.
We thoroughly enjoyed this stop over in Hattiesburg. The staff was friendly, the rooms quite up-to-date and clean. Breakfast was enjoyable and the staff kept the selections well-stocked and tables clean.
Very nice hotel. Clean toom.Friendly staff. If you have to work on the computer you may want to stay somewhere else. Internet is not good. Beds are very very high and difficult for elderly or short people to get into.
All of the staff I encountered during my stay were genuinely kind and helpful. The women setting up breakfast were super attentive and were helping to serve guests even though it was a "serve yourself" setup. Accommodations were clean and comfortable. I drive through Hattiesburg frequently and will stay here again.
There are not a lot of nice hotels in Hattiesburg. But this hotel provides a clean option with large rooms and modern design. The lobby is very bland and boring. But the room exceed my expectation for a hotel in Hattiesburg. I would stay there again.
Thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Stayed here during college homecoming. Provided breakfast, but ran out of plates. Clean and cozy rooms with refrigerators. Highly recommend. Can't go wrong staying here. Beds were comfortable. Parking was suffice. No complaints. Worth the money. Nice staff.
This was my second stay in Hattiesburg for business. The first time, I stayed at another hotel that was average. I decided to look around more this time. Very glad I stayed at this Best Western Premier! The inside and outside of the property were nice. The hotel is brand new, so you can expect updated decor throughout the entire property. They serve a complementary hot breakfast that even had bacon. The bed was extremely comfortable! My room did not have a bathtub, just a shower. Which is my preference, but just a heads up. Overall I really enjoyed my experience here and will be returning when I am in Hattiesburg in two weeks.
I was very pleasantly surprised with my stay. The hotel is very easy to find. Parking wasn't a problem. The property appears to be new. Front desk staff was efficient and quick. I was on my way to my room literally within 3 minutes of walking in the front door. Decor was modern with funky but pleasant colors. The room was great with comfortable and stylish furniture. (I've uploaded pics of the room and bathroom). Bed was comfortable. Room included a fridge and same. Although I was in a hurry the morning I checked out, I do believe they have a buffet-style breakfast at no charge. But I'm not exactly sure. I'm sure the website would have more information about it. I would definitely stay here again.
Excellent service and location. Perfect room for a reasonable rate. All of the services were awesome and very friendly service. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is needing a really good place to stay while visiting the Hattiesburg area.
Best Western Premier is one of the best hotels ever!! From reservations to check in and out, to the actual stay is an experience I'll never forget. I didn't have any problems. The rooms are spacious and the staff is courteous.
This hotel is probably the best I have ever stayed in. The room, bed, bathroom, air conditioner were as good as it gets. I wish all hotels were like this!!! The staff and room could not be any better. This was the best!!!
This is a very nice and clean hotel. It is only a year and a couple of months old. The staff is very nice. It has a pool, fitness center, and other great things. I will be staying here the next time I have a business trip... Also, they have great beds... this is a plus after long flights and driving time.
We stopped in Hattiesburg on the way to Gulfport for our birthday weekend. Our reservations were made over the phone because signal was in and out.We are so happy we chose BW once again, our room was sparkling clean and quiet and the bed was luxury.Bar was great for quick bite to eat on site and a cold beer after miles on the road- 5 stars for this one!!!!!
If your looking for somewhere to stay in Hattiesburg, this is a great place. The hotel is new, modern and clean. The staff is incredible. You will enjoy your stay here. I stay here one day a week, every week for work.
This was my first visit to Hattiesburg so I did not know where to stay. Trip advisor came through. I chose this hotel solely on the trip advisor comments. It was a great choice. My room was very clean and so was the other areas of the hotel. The hotel attendants were very helpful and friendly. I will return on future business trips to Hattiesburg.
it was okay, a little noisey the guest over us walk loud all night, and made it hard for me to sleep, except for that everything was okay. i would recommend my friend and if they are light sleeper like myself need to booked the top floor.
Excellent choice. Clean rooms, friendly staff. For what you pay for you get a spacious room. Lots of ameneties for free that is nice, best hotel in Hattiesburg for sure. The internet connection could defenetely improve i guess the WiFi stability was the most negative part of the stay.
This hotel was spotless and the room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was much better than the usual free hotel offering. They even had real dishes, not styrofoam. The staff was friendly and helpful and the service was professional and fast.
I did not expect to have such nice and modern. Close to eateries. Clean and friendly! I love the fact that there was also a free buffet. (IT was a little chaotic due to slow service but nothing to write about)! Get to the breakfast buffet early--obviously! My two girls loved the pool being outside but we didn't get to swim ;(. Overall, I'd recommend and stay again!!
My husband and I stopped here on our way to Destin. The Room was spacious. The Bed was comfortable. The Tv remote didn't work. One Elevator was broken. Breakfast was just ok. We probably won't return.
The hotel has lots of great qualities. Clean , large rooms, and great breakfast. The showers are not safe for seniors. No hand rail, slippery floor, sliding doors with railing at bottom which is a hazard if you fall. No rails outside shower either.
Booked last minute for one night on way back from Florida. Requested too away from elevator and they complied. Great price and room was clean, comfy and spacious! Only downside was people above us were horrible loud most of the night.
Saw and booked on Internet. This proved to be an excellent choice and one which I intend to use on future visits to Hattiesburg. The staff of the hotel are warm and friendly. Chris, working on reception, was warm and friendly. A totally nice guy and credit to the hotel. (As we're all the other staff I encountered I just didn't get their names!!) The hotel itself is well equipped. Rooms are high quality and spotless. Breakfast was a warm breakfast, bacon eggs, oatmeal..(Quaker Oats) excellent. Can't speak highly enough of this place.
I stayed here for Southern Miss' first home football game. The hotel is relatively new and very nice and clean. They offer a full breakfast which was very much appreciated. The one downfall is that the only service we received was having our towels replenished. The garbage was not emptied and the beds not made.
This was a very nice place to rest. We had my grandmother with us so we could not make the trip to Florida in one day. I was very impressed. It was super clean and very comfy. Staff was great as well. There is also an Outback Steakhouse right across the street which was awesome. They also have great wifi.
Nice rooms nice people breakfast and a grill for dinner is nice to not have to leave. The grilled did not have a menu yet but it was nice. The beds when extremely comfortable and I slept like a baby. Plan on staying here every time I go back to Mississippi.
Stopped for one night, on our road trip. Large, modern, comfortable, spotlessly clean room, with very comfortable beds. The only noise we heard was the doors of other guests. The lobby is modern and inviting. Breakfast was slightly above average for a hotel breakfast, with real dinnerware, and a person to bus the table. There was a small bar, in the lobby. We did not use it, but it appeared to serve beer and wine. This in not a true 'FIVE STAR' property. There isn't a restaurant or room service, etc. There is a fitness room and a pool with a lift.
Rooms were bright and classy w comfortable bed. Internet was sketchy depending where you were in the room. Breakfast was included each morning. We were there for a week and breakfast meats and egg preparation was different each morning!! The only flaw was in the grill at dinner time. We went down for a sandwich 30 minutes before close and the cook told us the grill was closed. He sat and watched tv for the next 30 minutes then left. Would definitely stay there again though. Excellent bar in hotel directly across the street.
Had not stayed in a Best Western in a number of years but bid on a hotel in this city, in this range of stars, etc and was assigned to this hotel. I was a bit disappointed but when we walked into the lobby and then into the room we were pleasantly surprised. I may choose this one on my own next time!
This hotel is nice and up to date. Most employees are friendly. The rooms are great and the shower is fantastic. Breakfast is good and it is nice they use real plates. The gentleman that run the little restaurant was very friendly and wanted to please. Internet is in the rooms but a little slow for VPN users.
This is a newer hotel and very nice. Keep in mind that all rooms do not have tubs, ours had a stand up shower only. The king bed in our room was unusually high off the floor. I'm not a very tall person and it took some effort to get up there. Not sure why this bed style is used but it could seriously hinder someone with an injury or ailment. If a kid fell off, they'd probably break a bone. Breakfast was SUPER busy at 8:30 so get there early. Location is great, can walk to Plaid Rhino if you want, which is a great restaurant. Pool area appeared clean and nice. Would definitely stay there again.
One of the best hotels I have stayed in. Very comfortable room with amenities most hotels do not have. The breakfast bar was very good and well maintained and the staff friendly and accommodating. Total experience was great.
We are Best Western fans, and usually try to stay there, but this was our first time staying at a Premier. The service was great, it was very clean amd it was affordable. The staff went out of their way to help. Check this one out,
We usually stop in Hattiesburg every year on our way to Florida and stay at the same hotel. This year it was booked, and I am pretty happy it was because we have found our new place to stay. Staff were extremely helpful, rooms NICE & CLEAN, beds very comfortable. And ladies, they have a magnifying makeup mirror in the bathroom that unfortunately worked too well! We were tired from the long drive, not too hungry so we decided to run down to the Grill to grab a little something. No regrets! Good food on real dishes and told us leaving them outside the door was perfectly fine. Breakfast was good too...on real dishes which impressed my mother. Very courteous hostess also.
This is the problem I am having with my stay. I have never stayed at BW before this visit. Staff appear to be completely disinterested in serving the customer. When I checked in, the two women at front desk were both busy texting on their cell phones. No welcome, no smiles. Name, ID, and Credit card requested. Maybe someone at corporate should think about adding into the training manual a little paragraph about what Customer Service means. When I brought them a light bulb from the bathroom, they told me that maintenance replaces those and they couldn't do anything about it. When I called the front and asked "do you have a rollaway bed", their response was NOPE. There was no offer of extra linens for our floor sleeper. We had to ask the front for them.
From the moment we stepped in the lobby I was impressed with the hotel and friendly, helpful staff. Our rooms were clean, spacious and nicely decorated. Beds were super comfy, nice thick towels and cool air. The pool was small but well maintained, clean and fun. Coffee was GREAT! Breakfast area was super clean and well stocked each day. I'd stay again and recommend it to friends.
Wow - easy check in - the hotel is sleek, clean and modern; definitely passes the smell test. A great place to spend the night, we would absolutely stop here again. Breakfast was adequate, and we liked the "real" plates and bowls. Coffee was delicious and is available 24/7.
The hotel is very nice and fairly new. Our room was clean and the bed was comfy...we had a king room with a sofa bed for our daughter (sofa bed was okay, not as nice as I would have expected for a "Premier" but it worked). We got in around 10pm. Staff that night was okay...I expected a little more friendliness/hospitality; hence, the lack of the 5th star rating. Breakfast had good selections and nice touch of real plates/utensils instead of Styrofoam. Breakfast staff and cleaning staff were friendly, which made up for the evening staff.
We called about an hour away and was able to get a room. The front desk (can't remember the gentlemen's names) were very friendly. The morning front desk asked how we slept, how was our stay, etc. The entire staff were personable. The pool closed at 7:00 pm but they told not a problem, they would not kick us out. The hotel was fantastic. It is one of the best Best Western's I have stayed out and will definately stay again if in the area. Definately a must stay. The rooms smelled fresh and clean.
Great stay at new hotel. Fantastic for passing through on road trips! Our only complaint is that we couldn't get the Internet service to work, and there was only one person working at the hotel in the evening at check-in. So we didn't think he'd be able to help us during that very busy time.
The Best Western Premier was an excellent choice for an overnight stop on the way to the beach. The staff were professional and courteous. Our room was clean and well appointed. We really appreciated how quiet it was while being next to the ice and vending area. We will definitely stay here again!!
First of all this place is fantastic! We only stayed one night but wanted to stay all week! Lol. Clean clean clean smells great as soon as you walk in. It's very modern. It just opened in Oct. of 2015. The room we had was on the 4th floor. It was so great. Bed were perfect. Pillows were fluffy. Carpet was clean. Bathroom was very clean. Great soaps to use. Breakfast was great too. Cereal. Oatmeal. Waffles. Eggs bacon and different kinds of breads. Coffee milk and orange juice to drink. And even after they stopped serving breakfast, the lady was very kind and gave the people what they asked for. That in my book is going above and beyond. We will be staying here our next trip to the beach. Now the pictures don't do justice to show how nice the room was. But here the are anyway.
We just stayed one night while travelling through Hattiesburg but the property was clean, comfortable and in a great location close to restaurants and the freeway. Staff was very friendly and the beds were exceedingly comfortable. The entire property seemed new or recently remodeled and the rooms reflected that. We would stay again without hesitation.
We came across this property after checking out of a dump of an Inn in New Orleans. We were grateful to get out of that city and to arrive at this property. It's a new hotel with great staff, clean rooms and great coffee to boot. I'd come back in a heartbeat
excellent place to stay. Its within walking distance to good restaurants. The bed was super comfy...The hotel was very clean and the staff goes above and beyond to be helpful... I used the conference room and and the staff was very helpful with helping me set everything up.
This is a rather new hotel and let me tell you how nice it is. The beds are so comfortable and sit high. Once you walk in the room the sweet smell is so calming and relaxing. The bathroom is gorgeous and I wish mine looked like that. The check in area is fast and they will ask you if you would like to start using best western rewards program. I used this hotel because many in the area looked outdated but Best Western is near gas stations, various restaurants, the mall and interstate.
We were looking for a nice place to overnight this past weekend that was away from the Mississippi Gulf Coast. We were pleasantly surprised at the choice we made. Best Western Premiere is a wonderfully new, comfortable and clean hotel located near the University of Southern Mississippi. The room was wonderfully clean, well-equipped with ample coffees and amenities and towels. The television was big and allowed access for your own devices to be added to the TV. The best was the most treasured part of the trip --- it was wonderfully comfortable. We loved it. The room was nice and quiet and even the guests in the adjoining rooms were quiet. There was ample parking at the property. If there were any shortcomings, I'd just say the breakfast on Sunday morning ended at 9 am. I was disappointed when I came down and everything was being put up and away. I have to admit, the staff offered me something to eat anyway. The fitness room closed at 7 pm. I would leave the breakfast area open until 10 am and the fitness room open to 10 as well. This was a great property and the staff was friendly and helpful. As I said, we've found a gem in Hattiesburg. Great job Best Western!
A nice surprise when we stopped, not the usual hotel. Has a cafe in the hotel that will make personal pizza's or sandwiches for you, for a price but very nominal. A great idea if you don't want to go back out & figure where to eat. Then a breakfast what a great surprise real silverware & plates, awesome! When you are doing a long trip & have hotels to stay at, the constant plastic forks, knives, plates gets real, real old fast. Real coffee cups with great coffee just makes the start of your day a little special. Wished more hotels that consider themselves special go this extra mile. Yes, its extra work but every so often makes the journey nice.
What a breath of fresh air coming from a long 12 hour car ride. I researched hotels and chose this one and the reviews were right. Clean, new and staff are nice. Breakfast (free) includes egg omelet, sausage, mini cinnamon muffins, croissants, yogurts, hot oatmeal with toppings and waffles you can make. Room was very clean, plenty of parking g spaces and they offer military discounts. Loved it!!!!!
Needed a place to take a break on a long road trip. Room was clean and slept well. Breakfast was a nice surprise to start out the next day of driving. No issues and would consider again when in the area.
Fantastic hotel, Beautiful rooms friendly staff and amenities. Nice location and easy off and on to highway. Great price for what you get, you will not be disappointed. Beds are very comfy with easy to use TV with guide.
This is a new hotel. I can't say anything bad about this place. The staff is very friendly & helpful. The rooms are great. Love the lighting in the bathroom. All hotels need that. There is a huge lobby for gathering. Buffet breakfast. It's an excellent hotel & I will stay there again.
My daughter attended a weekend camp at Southern Miss, so me and my two youngest children hung out in Hattiesburg for the weekend. I must say that our stay here exceeded expectations. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms and entire facility were clean and up-to-date. The free breakfast was nice. The pool area was nice. We will definitely use this as our hotel of choice if traveling to Hattiesburg again.
Beds are great, like most Best Western hotels, breakfast was standard fare for Best Western Hotels, just served on slightly fancier dinnerware. Hotel staff was helpful and courteous, with the exception of the housekeeping staff member yelling on her cell phone a couple of rooms down from ours at 8am and slamming doors. There is little to no soundproofing in the hotel, so you hear other toilets being flushed, showers running and the herd of elephants in the room over ours. Other than that, the stay was comfortable enough to get us enough sleep to get back on the road.
We had 7 rooms of travelers meeting there for a medical school graduation at William Carey University. We all arrived at different times, so the grill/bar was a great place to meet up. Food and drinks were great. Gerald did an excellent job in the kitchen. Travis had some of our rooms available for early check in, and he also located most of them near each other. We felt safe there, and the beds were very comfortable. Easy checkout with Keni the next morning. Breakfast bar was a nice convenience. Tip-if you are attending an event on busy weekend, book early. I saw several travelers turn away, because the hotel was sold out of rooms.
This is an absolutely wonderful hotel to stay at - unlike ANY other Best Western you have stayed at or can imagine. The staff is terrific, and the inclusion of the "Grill Bar" heartily welcomed after a 9 hour car trip from St Pete , FL. Other comments about the poor Wi-Fi access are spot on, but the "refreshed" accommodations are little more than a month old, and trust that the management will quickly resolve. HIGHLY recommend this Inn for the weary traveler, or the romantic looking for excellent accommodations under $200 a night !
I love this hotel and it is a good value for the money. You get shorted on wifi quality though so if you come here on business and need to use the internet for work, you will be disappointed. The only place it works the best is in the lobby. I would definitely stay here again but not while on business.
Stayed at this hotel while moving my son to Hattiesburg. I thought, "Okay, Best Western...big deal, won't be great but will be at least alright." Was I WRONG!! This hotel is FANTASTIC!! The place is beautiful, the room was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom wonderful...breakfast was awesome. And to top it all off, you're within walking distance to good restaurants. Good neighborhood, quiet at night. Next time we visit our son, this is our go-to place to stay. We were very happy.
Clean. New. Comfortable bed. Front desk staff friendly and helpful. A pleasant surprise. It's pretty obvious the place is new (or newly renovated) -either way - it's clean. Would stay there again when going through Hattiesburg
Hotel messed up our request for suite made 3 months before stay so they very kindly comped a second room! However, I was disappointed that our room was not touched after our first night. Beds unmade, trash not removed, no new towels. Also, the floor in my son's room had spots that were like holes under the carpet! Scary to think your foot might go through since we were on second floor! When I told clerk at front desk he wrote info down but was very indifferent - almost rude. Not sure if we will stay again. Also room decor is beautiful but beds are ridiculously high and extremely difficult to get into.
After booking a hotel in Hattiesburg and finding at 1000PM it was not a place to stay, we found the Best Western Primier. Travis, the night clerk was charming and quickly had us in a room for the night. The room was beautiful, the hotel immaculately kept and the service topnotch! When we return to Hattiesburg this is the place we will choose.
Front desk staff was very friendly as well as the ladies tending the breakfast area. The breakfast was really nice but the breakfast area was a tad small. I would suggest using the area on the other side of the lobby too or installing a gas fireplace as this area was large but not well utilized. The hotel itself was very modern and the room was first class. The bathroom, with the mirror that had a light all the way around it was amazing as well as the comfort of the beds. Will definitely stay here again!
The front desk clerk was very friendly, polite, and had us checked in within minutes. Delicious cookies were waiting for a nice snack before heading to the room. The room was very clean, large, and comfortable. Great night sleep. Then to walk up to the breakfast with a large selection of food to choose from. The girl taking care of the breakfast was as sweet as could be as was the morning front desk girl. Hospitality all the way around.
We were on our way to New Orleans and needed a nights rest before continuing on down. The place was clean. Travis met us at the desk. He was very helpful. The room was spacious and had all the amenities. The bathroom was big and clean. The free breakfast was good. A very great experience all in all.
Chose this location for one night while visiting Hattiesburg. This hotel is fairly new and things are nice and clean. The staff is very friendly. They have a bar and small food area where you order off a menu right in the hotel. Get a room away from the elevator as it is very noisy. The breakfast could be better. No scrambled eggs but some kind of egg sandwich was served.
This hotel was great. My family of 5 stayed the night on our way home from Disney World. We were traveling with my parents and brothers family. The room was clean and very nice. Breakfast was good and the hotel staff was great. Somehow however, my families room had been booked twice. On the morning we woke up to leave home, I noticed I had an email saying I had been charged as a no show. Kenny worked with us and she helped us get refunded without any major hiccups. I would definitely recommend this hotel based on the quality of the staff alone.
Location is great from I95, within walking distance (<3 minutes) to The Outback Steakhouse and a few other local ones. Friendly staff, breakfast area rather small as is the bar, rooms clean. Turtle Creek Mall and plenty of other shops and restaurants are easy get-to.
Stayed here for the Miss All-State choir. Located close to Southern Miss Univ. great location with plenty of shopping and places to eat. Hotel staff and room were great and was actually able to check in early I'd say around 1230 when check in time is actually 3 so that was pleasing. Would definitely stay again.
We checked in late on Thursday, March 24, 2016, we stayed for 4 nights. I had pre-booked and pre-paid so check in was quick and easy, the young man at the desk was pleasant. The room was nice, clean and stocked. The bathroom good, they could use a shelf in the shower. There is one small soap dish in this huge walk in shower. I had to put my shampoo, body wash, razor, etc. on the floor of the shower, a minor inconvenience. The toilet could have used some attention. I actually used Lysol wipes to clean the hinges and around the back of the seat, definitely overlooked by housekeeping. Bed was comfy but I don't understand why it is so high off the floor. Breakfast is from 6 to 9, even on weekends. This is where my complaining begins. We got downstairs at 820, most of the food was gone and no one was restocking anything. There were no plates, no coffee cups, no coffee and no napkins. When the attendant finally appeared from the back, he seemed put out that we were asking for things. Then I noticed that he had taken up an entire table with all of his stuff. As people were waiting for food, he went over and got a drink from his soda then continued to slowly refill a couple things. More people were coming down to eat and there was still not much food out. The tables were not being cleaned as people were leaving the area and guests were cleaning things up so they could sit down. MANY people were complaining to him that they were waiting for things, their kids were hungry and he didn't seem to care at all. I would like to say things were better Saturday morning at breakfast but they were not. ALL of the same problems occurred. There were also employees outside the entrance smoking while guests were trying to eat. In my opinion a guest should NEVER see an employee smoking anywhere on the grounds. Easter Sunday we had breakfast elsewhere. On Monday as we were checking out, I heard people at the breakfast area complaining about lack of food and service. THIS is an area that needs a LOT of work.
Stopped for a quick over night stay and this place is dynamite. From the lobby to the room this place is clean! Room was nicely furnished with desk, chair, ottoman, and side table. Beds were very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again.
Clean, modern room with a luxury pillow top bed. Good restaurants close by and helpful and friendly staff. Only complaint was the pillows were too big and that there was no guide for the TV. Really great stop as we were passing through.
Hotel facilities new, clean. Breakfast complementary, good variety. Good value except I truly think they forgot to insulate between the ceiling and the floor above. Very noisy!! Informed front desk and they did apologize.
This is a nice hotel. When I arrived about 9:30p, the front desk lady knew who I was (I was the last check in). No problems with my reservation. Went up to my room and was pleasantly surprised. As soon as I opened the door, I was met with a fresh construction smell (not too overpowering, but it was nice to know that the hotel was freshly built). I often have problems with my allergies in hotels, but I had no problems here. The room décor was nice/modern. The bathroom was one of the best I've seen in hotels of this price range ($90-150)- clean and well lit. The bed wasn't my preference (it was a bit hard, but maybe others will like it), but this isn't a big deal to me...still giving this hotel a 5 star rating. TV was a nice size and had a good picture. I couldn't get the air to blow harder, but somehow it wasn't hot in the room *surprising, because I get hot easily when I sleep*. It may run on a different type of system that regulates temperature without massive amounts of air blowing out of the vent. This was a pleasant surprise. Also, breakfast was tasty (not as big as holiday inn breakfasts, but still no complaints). The guy working the breakfast area was friendly and attentive. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Hattiesburg!
What a wonderful, new hotel. So clean and fresh. As previous guests have described the beds are high off the ground. Kind of funny for someone short. The only complaint I have is there was no room darkening shade to pull across the middle of the window. I had to pin the two darker drapes together with the little god pin from the sewing kit provided in the bathroom.
Very clean comfortable room. Friendly staff at desk and server at breakfast. Breakfast menu varied daily. Beds were comfortable. The beds were high enough that you almost needed a step stool to get in them. Our suite was next to the elevator shaft and you could hear the elevator. Otherwise a pleasant stay while contractor was in our house redoing the floors.
So impressed with this hotel, especially the exemplary customer service from the staff. The hotel, room, and common areas are new and very nice. The stand out customer service was what made me love this hotel. I wish I could vote it 6 stars and I will stay here again if I'm in Hattiesburg. We had an issue with the booking and Barry assisted us at 2:30 in the morning, speaking with the third party booking company directly to try and sort things out. He was professional and courteous, and went the extra mile to try and resolve the booking issue. He upgraded our room for the night as a result of the issue, which was absolutely no fault of the hotel or himself. In the morning, Reni at the front desk was able to resolve the third party booking issue and again was extremely courteous and helpful. Your staff is amazing! Well done!
We stayed here for 4 days while my daughter had an interview at the university. It is the newest and nicest hotel around for the money. The staff, especially the breakfast staff, were friendly and attentive. Our room was spacious and clean, with a nice little nook with fridge and microwave- there was even a shelf and storage cabinets for food and items. The Plaid Rhino restaurant is right next door and a fun place for a causal lunch or dinner. The fitness room and pool are really nice, although the pool is outside and it was too chilly to use in January. Free wifi was great, and the lounge and breakfast area had lots of room to work if necessary. Free breakfast was good. I will definitely stay here again if I am in town.
