We stay here on a regular basis. The staff is very nice and helpful. The rooms are older but very well kept. Breakfast is good and always has a good variety of foods. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed here for a wedding for two nights. We got a notification that the hot water wasn't working so we would have to shower in a different room. They did discount us $40/night which was great. The pillows were also terrible. They were square in shape and they were high and hard. I couldn't even use them, slept without a pillow which also is not comfortable. Not a place I would recommend.

Hello, this is Scott, hotel owner. I am sorry about the problem with the hot water that one morning and the pillows. I use the pillows Best Western requires, but maybe my housekeeper compressed them too tightly into the pillowcase. That would make them hard. I will check. After 5 minutes in this hotel I really wanted to give it 5 stars. The owner is obviously 100% committed to the business. Take a look at previous reviews for the letter that each guest is greeted with including the owners personal cell phone number posted at various locations on the property asking for customer input. Unfortunately we discovered that the hot water was out in our building in the , standing naked in the shower. I called the office to see if they were aware of the problem, and they said they were and that they would make an adjustment on the room rate to recognize our inconvenience, and they had a couple of rooms available for showers in the main building. When we open our room door to go to the lobby for breakfast, we found a note taped to the outside about the hot water problem (!) Arriving to breakfast, hot food supply was depleted and the waffle mix was empty. After waiting several minutes for the staff to reappear we had to go! We ended up with breakfast somewhere else on the run, having dealt with a shower delay and waiting around for breakfast resupply. Back at the hotel for our second night I called the office to double-check that the water was back in service, since there was no note on the door or message in the room about the hot water status. Come to find out it was still not working! I visited in person with the owner in the lobby and he made an adjustment to our first nights room rate then offered another room in the main building. Next morning I struggled with the wifi connection (internet not available), went in for breakfast and found the same issues, no syrup, no waffle mix, just a few pieces of other hot foods items- first world problems, unless breakfast is a piece of the puzzle you considered when booking the room. I asked the irritated front desk clerk about waffle mix and he disappeared to the back after rolling his eyes and groaning. That was enough for me! Unfortunately, the owner is 100% invested, but can't do everything. As I told the owner, I don't think I could manage all of the details in a hotel, and these two days are an illustration of how many things can go awry. My three star rating is a compromise between what I want to give this property for effort, and how I felt at check out. All that being said, we will be visiting Goshen again several times over the next four years and may give this property another chance. I hope they're proactive about breakfast, and consider putting on a breakfast host or hostess. A smiling face, well stocked supplies, and quick attention to customer requests could have turned our experience around. Breakfast is the last contact most guests will have with a lodging property, and are a great opportunity to make sure customers are satisfied. Mr Baker, don't under hire for this position, it's a deal maker/breaker.

Hello, this is Scott, hotel owner. I remember speaking with you after your first night and arranging for a new room for you. We did manage to complete our hot water replacement install later that same day, but I was not positive when I moved you that we would be able to finish it that day. I am sorry about the both the hot water situation and your negative experience at breakfast. I heard similiar reports from other guests about breakfast that morning and without going into detail, the problems will be taken care of. You really experienced a lot of things that were not right and I am grateful that after all that you were generous enough to give me this detailed feedback. I am in your debt.

Friendly staff, clean room, hot breakfast. A good value in a very convenient location. This location is about a mile and a half from downtown Goshen. I don't think there is a hotel coser. I will visit again.

We stayed for 5 days and we could not get new sheet for bed they put old sheet back on them they said we dont wash the because we are a green hotel..... The tv set to high up its truly a pain in the neck to watch there TV. The high speed internet is slow. Not happy and i stay at BW alot i love BW but if you can keep driving past thus one up...

When we pulled up, I was a bit hesitant to check in because it looked very old. The staff was friendly and the room was impressively clean. It was a very small room, but clean and updated nonetheless. The breakfast was pretty par for the course. The price was a bit steep for the room that got, but all the hotels in the area are a bit overpriced. I'd stay here again, if I could negotiate a lower price.

My wife and I stayed here on November 18,2017. Would not stay here again. It is way overpriced for what you are getting. Notre Dame had a home football game that had ended about an hour before we arrived, but it seems like in Goshen you would be far enough away from the stadium to not have to pay a "football day" premium. Our bill came to $142.12. This is a disgrace for what you are getting. I do not need much-a Motel 6 is o.k. with me. And that is what you are getting here-a very plain and basic room with no frills. There was nothing wrong with the room although it was old and tired looking. But to pay that much for this place was ridiculous. My advice is to continue southeast on U.S. Highway 33 a few more miles and stay at the Super 8 on the east.

Hello, this is Scott, hotel owner. The demand-based pricing in the hotel industry nowadays can get very frustrating for travellers. Like most hotels, I use computer software that analyzes the local market and sets a different price for my rooms every night, and updates prices every 24 hours. I wish all of us hotel owners could just keep the same prices every night of the year, but now that the artificial intelligence pricing software is available to all the hotels, there is no way that any single hotel can go back to the past in a market like Goshen where demand goes from high to low one night to the next. Any hotel that did that would be out of business in this market in no time. My hotel has some advantages over the other one you mentioned, but this is not the place for me to give a sales pitch.

Room was clean and spacious and also had a microwave and fridge. No issues with the WIFI or tub and sink. The room was on the back side of the property and parking can be somewhat limited. The front desk staff was courteous. Small breakfast area, with limited items compared to other Best Western properties. Noticed they have a laundry facility to use.

"One Of The Best Hotels That I Stayed At,"

I wasn't going to give this hotel as high of a score as I did but what turned me around was the honesty of the staff and the quickness to make amends. I had arrived late at night after talking to a large men's discipleship class and was looking forward to a first floor room. The young guy on the desk (who I learned was new) tried to give me a room on the second floor. There was no way that I was going to attempt getting my bicycle and gear up and down stairs. The guy found me a room on the first floor of the back building but he told me that he couldn't use the special rate that I had gotten through Booking.com. I was told that the room would have been a few dollars more so I agreed. When I checked my bank balance, I found out that the difference was actually around $20 more. I told the clerk who was on duty in the morning as to what had happened and he apologized, honored the Booking.com rate, and refunded me the difference. The room was quite large and clean. I had a good night's stay. There was a strong wifi signal. Breakfast was okay. If you were hungry at night, there was a pretty good Dairy Queen next door.

"A BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!!"

Never again will we come back here. The staff was friendly but that's about all I can say. The rooms are old, need some updating. The cleaning staff obviously doesn't care to clean as if they did they would have found the Marlboro Cigarette Pack in plan site under the TV stand. As we are non smokers I took the pack to the registration desk ( as if they find you smoke in the rooms there is a fine) and all I was told was " sorry". The curtain by the door had a large stain, which I didn't want to take the time to figure out what it could be. The parking area has Cigarette Butts everywhere. The food they serve in the breakfast area is pretty good, the eggs, sausage and ham were luck warm. I am hoping all Best Westerns are like this one.

After driving through the delightful Amish country to get here, it was pleasant to find a spacious room with a desk and comfortable office chair, as well as a table with two more comfortable chairs, and good light from the windows. Parking spaces are large, and there is plenty of allowance for trucks. Breakfast is served from 4 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and includes Amish pastries. Our room was quiet. The Guest Directory lists some local restaurants, and there is a Dairy Queen right next door. The internet is easy to use and of good quality.

Checking in here during the afternoon the smell of freshly popped corn fills your senses. Always greeted nicely by the desk clerk on staff (it MIGHT be the owner!) has been my experience every time I stay here. The lobby feels like your living room which I prefer to the sterile corporate branded look. 5+ years later and my experience (again) was 5 star. The train horns and rumble in the distance (ever present in this NE Indiana area) I interpret as another "Welcome Back!" greeting.... Thanks BW Goshen family!

There are 2 sections to the hotel. The back is a little newer. We were originally given a room in the old section. It seemed fine, until we pulled back the beds and they had not been changed. We were immediately moved to another room in the old section. It was good, but overall the rooms could have been cleaner. It needs some updating. Bring your own pillows. They only have the very small ones. Housekeeping was very sloppy while we stayed several days.

The pictures online showed a much cleaner building. Once we arrived it was obvious the place was in a lot of disrepair. Peeling paint, water stains etc. The lobby was kind of tacky with knick-knacks all over and it was very tiny. There was no proper dining room and we immediately knew we wouldn't be eating breakfast there. The room was clean but the beds were so uncomfortable and the linens were so thin it felt like we were sleeping with a sheet on us all night. No place to plug in your cell phone charger cords at all. I had to connect my lap top to charge everything which was a pain. They definitely need to update the room. There was a mini fridge, a microwave, and a one serving coffee pot which was fine. The TV had a great picture and the internet worked fine. So it wasn't the most horrible night ever, it's just the bed was so uncomfortable and we were so cold all night we didn't feel refreshed at all in the morning. For the price it was what you would expect. Just be aware if you need a good mattress this might not be the best choice. A few upgrades in the room and some repair on the exterior of the building would help. I couldn't believe it was even the same place when we arrived.

I have been to many different Best Western in the world and I choose them because I know what to expect. That's why I chose this one but were really disappointed : smelly room, noisy, poor level of equipment, ... Even if the personal was very smart, I will not come back.

Currently there is a major snowstorm here in Goshen Indiana and my RV was snowed in. They took the time to plow the lot and make sure I could get out. Amazing people! Rooms are also nice and clean. Great place to stay!

We have stayed at this Best Western starting in October. We travel across the US and our home base is here in Indiana. We were given a reference to this hotel because we had dogs. They welcomed us and our dogs without extra charges. The rooms are very clean and the owner Scott and his staff are wonderful. Very accommodating. We go out of our way to make our reset time end in Goshen at this hotel because it is very clean and friendly. We had to stay one other place one night and we won't do it again. Best Western in Goshen is our home away from home. We are from New Hampshire and dfont get home often. Thank you Scott very much and to your wonderful staff. Brian Bigelow

Clean comfortable stay, very good breakfast large selection green peppers mushrooms ham sausage scrambled eggs, with all the fixin's ketchup salsa exedra. Good coffee. The night I checked in there was a large part of ham and potato soup very good.

This was a comfortable hotel with friendly staff. Our room was clean. We had a nice over-sized mini fridge that fit all our beverages and cold foods plus it had a huge freezer for that type of refrigerator. Normally we can never refreeze our ice packs but we were able to put all four large packs in the freezer so we could keep our items cold for the next day. There was a nice laminated note on the dresser explaining how the owner's father was an innkeeper and how important it was to him to make sure all his guests were comfortable and taken care of and how the current owner wanted to follow in his father's footsteps. I thought it was a really nice welcoming touch. I've never seen something like that in any of the hotels we have stayed at. You might have a little something welcoming you, but this was a somewhat lengthy letter that really added a little something. It felt very genuine.

Over the past few months I have stayed at this hotel iver 20 times. They are very nice people and the rooms are always cleaned. They go out of the way to make sure that your stay is good. I will always stay here when I'm in the area.

Always great service! Clean rooms and good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff. Close and within walking distance to restaurant and a bar if you desire one. Very good value for the product. Right on the Main Street for Walmart and Walgreens.

I drive for an RV company stayed the night there to get some rest and got in late and still had to check out at 11 a.m. to me that seems kind of wrong I can understand getting in earlier and tapping to check out at 11 a.m. but not if you come in at midnight or 1 a.m.

I always stay here when I'm in the Goshen, Indiana, area. It's the best value in the city for your money. It's close to popular venues, clean facility, and has a friendly staff. An added bonus is a Dairy Queen next door!

This hotel is run by management that takes a true interest in its guests' satisfaction. All of the staff that I've encountered have been very polite and focused on customer service. While it isn't a 'fancy' hotel, it offers nice, clean rooms, a hot breakfast that is open for many hours, a tolerant pet policy, a nice area to walk your pets, and is situated in an convenient location. It is a great value for your dollar.

The Best Western Inn in Goshen, Indiana strives to truly be as comfortable and pleasant as possible. The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The rooms are excellently clean and comfortable. They are pet friendly and our little dachshund loves it here.

This best western is ok for a quick stay. The room was clean but a little outdated, the water pressure was great, room was decent size, bed comfortable but the pillows are small and mushy. Bring your own shampoo/conditioner unless you want to smell like an apricot. Room had a mini fridge, blow dryer, tv, ac, and a coffee maker. Very noisy however; close to a railroad track & hospital as well as you can hear the person in the next room. No elevator that i saw. Plenty of parking and wifi available. Breakfast area is tiny and options are limited but you can pay $1 and get as much soda as you want for a day. The staff was very friendly and courteous at check in. Okay for a quick stay, easy to find.

This hotel is a frequent place to stay for transporters of RV's from the local manufacturers. So, it is more engine noise than usual. The front desk room also serves as the dining room and is small with not enough tables. Although Lawrence tried his best to put the hotel's best foot forward, he had too many other factors that subtracted from the balance..

One of the reasons we stay here is because they are pet friendly. The staff worked with us and our room did not seem to have any accidents by prior guests. Rooms were clean and we were rested. This was not our first trip...

if you don't mind a dirty , smelly room with bad internet and a shower that changes temperature then this is for you. I found old bottle caps and trash on the floor. between the bed and night stand I found 1/2 of some kind if pill. i never touched it and it took housekeeping 2 days to vacuum it up. they never found one bottle cap that was laying on the floor so I took it to the front desk when I checked out.. at $100 a night that is equivalent to $3000,00 a month. should be able to clean it for that. .

Friendly, helpful, clean. Very close to Goshen College, minutes from downtown, easy access to highways. Great place to take your dog--nice areas to walk your dog with doggie bag stations, welcoming policies. Some conveniences like computer/printer access, washer/dryer, hot breakfast from 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. ish. Best Western rewards. My favorite place to stay in Goshen!

I have never had a bad night at this hotel, Scott and his staff are always friendly and helpful. They go out of their way to make sure their guests are looked after and have a good stay with them. When I am in the Goshen area I don't stay any where else.

We really like this hotel. They have a very good breakfast and the rooms are very nice. The staff is also very helpful and professional. Also it is friendly! It sets in a good location with a Dairy Queen right next to it and a pizza take out place . Also just down the road is a Mexican restaurant.

This is the best hotel I have stayed in, bar none. For the price and convenience, there is no comparison. The staff is friendly, courteous and professional and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is very good with a good selection of items. I always stay here when I am in the Goshen, In area. Rates are reasonable and the quality of service is great.

Hotel is clean and beds were acceptable. Breakfast was good. Many items to choose from. Staff was ok. Very nice landscaping around buildings but someone should stop and pull weeds. Nice park like area with deck and good seating for spending time with our group.

Nice clean hotel with the little extras that count. Walked in and was met by a well informed desk clerk which was very helpful. Check in was very smooth and easy. The room was very clean and spacious. Gear hotel will definitely stay here anytime I an near Goshen.

this was a decent hotel. The staff was nice and our room was very clean. The breakfast was ok nothing out of the ordinary but the area was clean. We stayed here one night in order to be close to the start line of the Pumpkinvine Ride. We would probably stay there again.

This is an old.old motel that inspite of appesrent updating ,still remains old and unattractive. It is very inadequate compaired to competitive hotels. Breakfast facility very crowded and limited offerings. Has an u;nclean appearance.

Wife and I are full time RV'ers and had to drop off our fifth wheel to get some work done to it. We wanted a less expensive place to stay, so we chose this hotel. When we checked in, there were four other guys checking in who were RV delivery drivers. There were also about four other younger males just "hanging out" in the office. One was playing some horrendous music on his phone. Must have been a video because he was holding it for a very large guy to watch. The desk clerk finally yelled at them, and they turned it down. The desk staff was very friendly and polite and got us checked into our room quickly. We requested a ground floor room, which is what we got. The room was large with a king bed, microwave and refrigerator. Our room was very clean, neat and tidy. We were here two nights and had a good nights sleep both nights. The internet was very good, never had an issue with it. There are a lot of RV transport guys that stay at this hotel, but none of them got out of line or created any noise. In fact, most were pretty friendly. The breakfast was average. Waffle maker, eggs, sausage and ham. Pastries and donuts, cold cereals, apple and orange juice, toast and coffee. They even had a soda machine. Soda was free with breakfast and after that, you could get a 32 ounce cub or refill your own cup for $1 and refill it for 24 hours! Very clean laundry facilities with vending machines that were reasonably priced. This is an older hotel, but they have done a pretty good job keeping it up. As past reviews have said, there was a letter in our room from the owner with his home phone and cell numbers. That is the first time we have ever seen that! Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I would rate this hotel above average - somewhere between above average and very good. If we needed a hotel for a night or two in Goshen again, we would stay here again.

We truly consider Best Western Goshen our home away from home. The staff is a wonderful balance of professionalism and friendliness. No grumpy faces, ever. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I especially like the in room coffee service. The surrounding grounds are pleasant to walk in and they have very nice pet areas. Shopping and good restaurants are near by

"Truck stop or Motel?"

We stayed here for two nights. We stayed because the took our dog. We were put in the rear bldg which is mostly occupied by full time residents contstuction workers or Truck drivers delivering RV's. At any given night we had people drinking beer outside our door. Drunks yelling at their wives or dogs. People hanging around smoking etc. The place really caters to RV delivery drivers who get a special rate of 67.00 a nite. The last nite we were there there were 17 trucks with travel trailers or fifth wheels . If this is good for you the place is fine. We really just didn't feel safe there.

The hotel is older with stairs (no elevator). Pros: mattress was ok, large TV, good, hot breakfast, microwave & larger than average refrigerator, room appeared clean. Cons: Train blows horn throughout the night when going through town, lots of trucks coming & going from parking lot, bathroom could use updates, need softer bed coverings.

As a transport driver that is frequently in the area, this is my go-to hotel for a great night's sleep. The property is family owned and operated and the owners are well known by the transport industry. While the hotel is an older property, don't let looks deceive you. The staff is always eager to assist and I have rarely met a more dedicated group of team members. The beds are always comfortable; the showers are always hot with plenty of pressure; the rooms have refrigerators and microwaves and flat panel TV's. There is a guest laundry facility. Hot breakfast is available every morning as well.

When we checked in the desk clerk was very helpful. We needed a room on the first floor plus a roll away. She quickly accommodated us. When she brought the roll away she made it up for us. When asked for places to eat she was ready with help for that also. The room was clean and looked like it had been recently remodeled. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Three of my daughters attended Goshen College. I first stayed in the Best Western in Goshen seventeen years ago when I had transmission trouble after bringing the oldest daughter back to campus. I have stayed many times since. In terms of appearance, little has changed. The hotel is not a new building in the style of new chain hotels. If you want that, head down the street to the new edition of another chain. Or keep going a bit farther to an earlier rendition of the same chain. What makes this hotel worth every penny is not the appearance, but the service. Certainly, the rooms have been updated in these last seventeen years. They are always clean and well maintained. The beds are comfortable, the WiFi reliable, the amenities available. The service, however, is unparalleled. From the moment you walk into the lobby, you are met with friendliness and care. In colder weather, there is often a pot of chili waiting in the breakfast area. In the mornings, you have access to the usual hotel breakfast foods you would expect from a more expensive chain. The new coffee machine means you can have a cup of fresh coffee or hot water for tea at any time, too. Still, the thing that has always struck me was the letter the owner in each room. He gives you his home number and his cell, asking you to call if you have any problems with your service or your room. What other hotel have you stayed in that offers that? One of my first visits to this hotel, a lake-effect snow hit during the night. The next morning, hotel staff had shoveled not only the sidewalks but around each car in the lot, so you could take your bags to the car without trudging through snow. In all the years I have stopped in this Best Western, THAT has been the kind of customer service I have always found. As far as I am concerned, you can keep the newer chain hotels down the street, fancier though they may be. I will continue to book rooms in this Best Western, where I know I will be treated well.

I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The owners are so rude and disrespectful. I drove from Michigan down to see my husband, my husband got out of work we took our stuff into her room put the kids in the room left the door open and sit outside on the balcony to smoke a cigarette, well the owner walked up to us it was super super super rude about us standing there smoking. Little did we know we couldn't smoke right there ok fine we will move. She sat and yelled at us threating to charge us more money and that she had several noise complaints from people. So we went about our night never went back outside. Got up that next morning got the kids ready to go down stairs and get breakfast. So we go down stairs I told the lady at the front desk. I need to check out of room *** well the owner walks up and says, "DO NOT EXTEND THAT ROOM" I politely said I didn't ask to extend it. Well she got super crazy, started pointing her finger in my kids face and was yelling at them cussing at them. Cussing Infront of them threating to beat me up. Very, Very, childish people. I also called because it had a paper that says if your hotel experience was not 9 out of 10 please call so I called and all the guy could tell me was, " I'm sorry" that was it. Never again. Had to have the cops come and everything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO MY WORST ENEMIES. I give this place NO star's.

This hotel has wonderful mid-century modern charm. We find something new and improved each time we stay. The rooms are so very clean - and quaint! The beds are super comfortable. It sure beats the cookie-cutter hotels we have stayed in. This hotel clearly has owners who care a lot about maintaining their property and offering their guests a unique stay! We love the old feel of a real motel!!!!!!

We have stayed here 3 times in the last few months and never had a problem. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Our room is always clean and inviting. Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The wifi is a little slow but otherwise it's a nice place to stay for a night.

I recently stayed at the Best Western in Goshen, Indiana for a family wedding. Building was old but rooms were clean. I was awakened during the night many times by trains going thru the area. I thought it was too pricey. I should have shopped around a little more. Probably would not stay at this BW if ever in the area again.

Always wonderful to stay here. Staff is always kind and helpful. They treat you like family. We stay every time we are in Goshen. Rooms are always clean. Breakfast is fresh. Even got made to order omelets. It was a special treat for the guests on Sunday morning. This is a home away from home.

We discovered after checking in that there was a freight train line running close by. Trains not bad at night but in the early AM 6:30 on--they blew whistles all through town. I wish I had checked into the direct from the outside access--noise cars all night. We found that the shower head seems to be corroding badly as after turning it on and showering--there was a sandy residue all over the front of the tub. I did tell the front desk and I am sure that Housekeeping has to have seen it before we checked in.

Below average hotel, the owner asks you to call them if it was anything less then a 9/10 but I was told he was on vacation. I do believe the hotel is moving in the right direction but the staff need work. The room smelled badly like smoke and I complained the first night and I received air fresh spray. The second day of stay I went back and complained about the smokey smell in the room and was told that they would put an ozone in there while we were out and the man took down out number. We came back after a long day at Norte dame and the room still stunk. I went to the desk and meet the same young lady who handed me the air freshener and she insured me that it would be done on the 3rd day of stay. It was never done, I threatened to call the owner since I was hoping not to have to, but I was told they were on vacation. I hope his room didn't smell like smoke like mine did, in a non smoking room. This room had rust in the shower and no liquid soap in the soap dispensers. I asked for liquid soap 3 days in a row and was handed bar soap. If I can give any advise after reading this review is don't stay in the hotel where you check in. Ask for a room in the newly completed and redone rooms next to that building and you should be fine. We found this out from other people that were staying at the hotel that there rooms were in better shape. I would not give the hotel a 9/10 like the owner asked it will be a 4/10. Great place to just crash if you don't care about the looks of the place. Also please switch up the breakfast, it was nice that it was included in the room and to wake up to a warm meal. But eggs, ham and sausage three days straight got. Old. Switch it up every other day. Thank you for allowing me to stay at your place. It would have been better if your staff just changed my room into a cleaner room. I stayed Thursday through Sunday for a Notre Dame game.

Very accommodating. Friendly staff. Clean neat rooms, good breakfast choices. Each of the staff we interacted with were nice. They offered us a bag of popcorn from the machine in lobby and made some up fresh for us. Offered us to stay in the 2nd building where they had just remodeled. Room was spacious, fresh.

Wonderful food, friendly and quiet place. Loved the short walk to DQ. Great that they are pet friendly and feeding the stray cats. Clean, large fridge. Many choices in food. Fresh popcorn at night. Food available. 4a to 11a and more brought out when gone. Cereal, eggs, cheese, ham, sausage, sausage gravy, waffles, donuts, toast, coffee, juice and told bacon on Mondays. What a nice place!! Had to stay here while RV was being repaired. So glad we chose to stay here! American Family-owned hotel that actually cares about your comfort and satisfaction! Watched the owners (and most of the emloyees) working out all day in 80°weather...painting and landscaping. Spoke to a couple of employees who had no hesitation telling me what a great place they have to work...nice people....awesome to work for. Happy people here. Nice park...very pet friendly.

Stayed here for an ND football game. Was in room 302. The room was non smoking. It smelled of smoke. As if someone had just finished smoking 10 minutes before we came. Upon getting to the room we found 2 large bugs. In the morning we found 1 more. There was mold and midue in the shower. Rate was $162 a NIGHT!

From the letter the owner left on our desk welcoming us to his family and our recently decorated room, to the free popcorn, beautiful landscaping in and around the very attractive pet area, yes you can bring your pet, we felt very much at home. We will try their included breakfast in the morning but it looks and sounds like it will be equal in every way to the ones we receive at Hampton Inns, our hotel of choice. They don't accept little dogs however, which is why we are staying here! Great find!

We needed a hotel that allowed dogs. I understand that those rooms are going to be less pleasant but the room was not very clean and it smelled very very bad. Animal urine and cigarette smoke. There was also a wasp nest somewhere near our door so we could not open the door or the wasps kept coming in. The Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. We unfortunately had to stay 4 days. It did have a nice big fridge, good breakfast, nice staff and nice grounds for walking the dog.

I'm an RV transporter and stay at this motel a couple times a month. They are pet friendly as I have two small dogs. They're staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and neat and very accommodating and I request a first floor room if at all possible because of my one little dog getting up stairs an they always fulfill my request which is great. Breakfast is also good and they serve it from 4 - 11 and everything is available at close to 11 which is very nice. I will keep staying at this motel because of service. Keep up good work.

Room was very dirty. Had not been thoroughly vacuumed in a long time. Very dusty also. Soaps, etc were empty. AC did not work and blew out very musty air. There was a 1 inch crack under the door that I put towel in to keep critters out. So not worth $90 a night!!

Great place to stay and staff are super. great value and the price is fab. Rooms are clean and close to great places to eat. Overall my stay in Goshen was graeat. The breakfasts are hot with a good selection of breakfast items and the coffee is always on and hot no matter the time of day. For work it is great to have a place where I can print of documents I need.

This place is nice and comfortable, also, there is no problems with the seedier elements of society that you tend to find in the Elkhart area. Staff is friendly and does a great job. I would recommend this to people looking for a nice quiet place to stay, but there is not much here for kids.

"Room has everything you need, and more"

We arrived on the last day of the local fair and the parking lot was filled with RVs and trailers so I was concerned about the noise. But the crowd was respectful and friendly (someone even jumped our car when we discovered a dead battery) and we conveniently parked in front of our room. The staff was also very friendly and helpful, clearly interested that we have a good experience. When we entered the room it had a strange and unpleasant odor, so we asked to borrow some air freshener. The clerk offered to switch our rooms, but we really didn't have time to bother since we were attending a wedding, and he came over immediately to spray the room. We were back in the room after 10 pm and the smell was still strong, plus we discovered that the carpet was wet! Also an upholstered chair was wet. We were leaving the next morning, and it was late, so we didn't call the front desk. Unfortunately, the smell and the humidity of the room made for a sleepless night. The room itself was clean, pretty, and had good towels and mattresses. Also, there was a microwave and refrigerator. All in all, a great room, except for the dampness. I'm sure that if we had called the front desk late at night to ask for another room they would have helped us, but that seemed like a lot of trouble for just one quick night. We were checked out before breakfast. I'm guessing that the carpet had been cleaned, but had not yet dried.

The hotel was very comfortable and quiet and we were on the front, facing the main road. It was also fantastic that the breakfast buffet ran until 11:00 on Saturday. We got in late so it was wonderful to be able to sleep in and still get a hot breakfast.

Although outdoor room access hotels usually give people the impression of a 'motel' atmosphere, that is not the case at this Best Western. The owners take great pride in providing a comfortable stay for their guests. The room was very clean and the internet slight above average for a hotel. I travel for a living, and great service is far more important to me than amenities, so if you're looking for a welcoming, accommodating stay, you'll find it here.

I stay in this hotel BW every time I am in Goshen, IN. The owner has put a lot of money into it in the year that I have been traveling back & forth from Syracuse, NY. Every one I have ever met that is an employee have been super nice except one. I cant really recall her name think it started with a "K" younger girl working on game night last year they were also doing a tractor auction the night she was working. This girl was down right rude like she hated her job. However it only happened once that I have seen her so I will let that slide. The breakfast is nice and simple they make gravy for those of you interested in that. Limited seating so get in there early. Free night points needed is 8000. I have stayed there maybe twice for free out of the maybe 8-9 nights I have stayed. I am giving the hotel 3 out of 5 I don't feel I'm being harsh at all by doing so. There isn't a pool or hot tub other wise I would have given 4 out of 5. My main concern was the game night I showed up they doubled the price of the room wanting over $200 keep in mind this is a simple BW not a Plus or Higher, no pool or hot tub & they were asking $200. That night we left went down the road & stayed at Holiday in for $110. Now all the other staff is friendly & like I said the owner has put money into the hotel. I just hate Price Gouging so I'm giving a honest 3 out of 5. If your looking for a simple nothing fancy, but clean, for the most part friendly staff BW Hotel this is it.

Great place to stay in goshen in great friendly staff . full breakfast. 24 hr access to soda fountain. Scott the owner is a really nice and helpful person. Everytime I stay here it is always great. The staff are very nice and friendly and usually get me the room I request when I make my reservations. The breakfast is open from 5-11 which is so nice if you want to sleep in a bit. The room is always clean and comfortable and a nice thing they have done is install shampoo, conditioner, soap dispenser on the shower wall. I always stay here when I'm in town for work and highly recommended this hotel. There is also a nice park close by where you can walk around the lake.

Thank you SD. When I travel, I dislike fumbling around with the tiny shampoo bottles and soaps. I prefer when a hotel has high quality shampoo and liquid soap in an attractive dispenser. I don't have to fumble around and I know the hotel is also reducing waste. I just installed those dispensers recently. It's part of a trend among the better hotels now and I feel good about helping the environment too.

The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and professional. The bed comfortable. The hotel is pet friendly with a very nice dog park with a gazebo. The breakfst bar was fresh and tasty - with nice variety.

They always take good care of me at this hotel. Whenever I need something they always take care of it right away. They are all kind and welcoming. I never even consider another hotel when I am in the area.

Considering that it is Goshen and the age of the hotel, this wasn't a bad stay. The reception at check-in set us up to want to like our visit. Extremely pleasant and helpful. It's a motel so it isn't our normal choice, but as motels go, it is fine. Comfortable bed, well-equipped room, good breakfast, and clean. We would do it again.

I won't stay anywhere else in Goshen, primarily because this is the only dog-friendly hotel option, but also because of the spacious size of the rooms, the convenience of the motel-style room access, the pleasant outdoor areas, and the extremely friendly and helpful hotel staff. This is exactly what a small town hotel is supposed to be and after many stays it feels like home away from home. Nice job, Best Western Goshen!

Our trip was to visit Family & Friends in the area. The rate we found was very affordable. Then we found that they were pet friendly. We were happy to bring our Dog with us instead of having others take care of her at home. Upon arrival we were greeted by nice staff and found the room to be clean and nice. Any request we had was answered quickly and resolved. They even had a supply of DVD movies at the front desk to borrow and watch in our room. Nick, the night manager, went above and beyond. He asked us what type of movies we liked and brought several of his in to us to watch. THANK YOU NICK! We enjoyed our week with you! Thanks to all! We will be back!

"Great pet friendly and family friendly place to just get away"

My family and I being homeless with our kids and cat, searched everywhere and found all motels wanted either a pet fee or didn't accept pets at all. Here at Best Western, the Owner and staff LOVE pets. To them, the pets are family too, which is how it should be for any pet owner. We were greeted every morning with a cheerful "Good morning, how was your night?" which makes you feel welcome and appreciated for your stay, The housekeepers came in daily to provide clean towels and linens and anything else we needed . The breakfast every morning was always fresh and awesome. Fresh waffles, fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage and even green peppers and mushrooms for really yummy omlettes. Cold cereal was an option and so was oatmeal, but we loved putting together our own breakfast, and cant forget the bagels, donuts, danishes coffee apple juice and orange juice. The owner, Scott, and his staff, Nick, Pat, Stephanie, housekeepers and others all made the stay awesome! Highly recommended for all travellers with fur babies, They are ALWAYS welcome and theres NO PET FEES! My family even helped the staff on weekends with making our beds and keeping our room clean. The staff themselves done an excellent job, we definitely felt like family, so I guess thats why the kids helped...or at least offered to help the house keepers. Good times! You can definitely expect to see us again!

It costs a lot more to stay at my hotel than to rent an apartment, but with Goshen having almost no apartments for rent (especially if you have pets) I can totally understand why you stayed at my hotel. I remember you telling me how you have a job and can afford an apartment but could not find one that would take your pets under reasonable terms. You and your family (including your pets) were great guests and always kept your room very clean. If you ever need a reference for a landlord, feel free to have them contact me. I think the home builders in Goshen are afraid to start building more houses and apartments because they got stuck with unsold inventory in the last recession, but those have all sold and filled up long ago in Goshen's growing economy.

My husband and I stayed here for a business trip. Room was nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. What made this experience for my husband and I was the personal note from the owner that was in our room. In all the hundreds of hotels we have stayed in over the years we have never seen such care and devotion put forth. It really makes you feel welcome and at home. I had the opportunity to meet the owner and he was a nice and kind gentlemen. Will definitely be staying here again. Thank y'all!

"Not honoring reserved reservation"

We have stayed with them regularly as we are in the transit business. The last two consecutive visits they have not honored our requested reservation. The straw that broke the camels back was the reservation made at 8 am and reserved with a credit card because we would be there after 6pm. When we arrived they had given our room to someone else. They even went as far as acknowledging that we had called early to reserve. Unfortunately, we will no longer stay with Best Western. You can't trust that your reservation will be honered.

This motel saw to all of the things that make a guest comfortable. The chili that was offered for an evening snack was above and beyond my expectations. Our dog loved the dog park and the biscuits she received upon check-in!

Best western goshen is a lovely place to stay. When you hear, we treat you like family, they really do. It's very clean and everything is up to date. Wi-fi in all the rooms, flat screen tv's. All at a very affordable price. There complimentary breakfast in the morning is very good as well, and help yourself to seconds.

Hotel was nothing fancy, just a clean, quiet and comfortable room. Staff was very pleasant. Loved having a refrigerator and microwave in the room! Morning breakfast was very nice. Only potential downside - there is a train that does pass by occasionally.

Pat is wonderful. We stay here a lot. Rooms are nice, comfortable and always clean. They have breakfast, always a good selection but they need a bigger dinning area. They have laundry room. They are family owned, the father open the hotel and his family is doing well keeping up with that great feeling of caring about their customers.

This is the ONLY motel in Goshen , Indiana that you can bring your pet and NOT get charged a daily fee for them to stay. Pets are warmly welcomed and are free. You won't find that anywhere else in Goshen. I've looked. The staff here is kind and caring and do go out of their way to assure a good stay.

Nice motel with laundry facilities. We drive for Star Fleet and we needed to stay two nights to reset our hours for DOT regs. Great staff and great service. Breakfast was good and many choices available. I want to take the bed hone with me.... very comfortable. Will stay again when we are back in the area. Discount available if you are a transport driver which is very nice

This is a good choice if you get a commercial rate. Go elsewhere if you want to actually what you paid for at the normal hotel rates. I have never been impressed with the breakfast here but I feel safe here with my vehicle full of valuables.

I travel for work and this hotel is a good fit for me with its great hot breakfast, fast WiFi and large flat panel TV with a large channel lineup. This is the only hotel I have seen that gives you the owners home and cell phone number to call if you cannot leave at least a 9 out of 10 rating.

This is an older Hotel with many new upgrades and they are still upgrading . The beds are all upgraded and are a good place to crash on your way thru. They serve a very good hot breakfast bar in the morning at 5AM. They are close to Walmart, pizza joints and many other needs you may have. Its not the Sherton but its clean clean and great staff to help you in anyway possible.

Room was perfect for us. Hotel is pet friendly with no addional fees. Nice walking area for the dogs. Hotel offered popcorn in the evenings and a free hot breakfast, starting at 4:00am for the early risers.

My title says it all but I would add that it is heartening to see management/ownership so proactive in the daily operations of the property. One thing that review agencies like trip advisor does, that tends to discourage reviews, is that they insist on a minimum # of characters in a review. Amazon used to do this but eventually realized the error of their ways!!!

First the good points - the staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good, and the tv was new and large. That was about all the positive pints for this hotel. The room had not been updated for many years - wall paper was peeling off the walls, carpet was dirty and stained, tile floor in bathroom was dirty, fixtures in bathroom were corroded, headboard of beds had not been dusted/cleaned recently, beds were advertised as queen but were actually full (we werenot able to sleep in the same bed).

We chose this hotel enroute home after a weekend celebrating my husband's 50th class reunion. The hotel itself was built by the father of the current owner but it has been updated to modern standards. The room was clean, the Internet worked fine and the selection of tv stations was much better than the previous 2 nights we had spent at an "upscale" hotel. There was popcorn, pop, and coffee available in the lobby at night and the breakfast was the usual waffles, eggs, cereal, juice etc. we have come to enjoy while traveling. We were there on a Sunday night and it was pretty busy. I do not know what the rates are because we used points to pay for the room. Everyone from the front desk staff to the ladies cleaning the rooms were very friendly and the customer service provided was exceptional. I do not know if there was an exercise room or pool but I would lean towards not. My only complaint would be that there were no selection of restaurants in the area other than "fast food" but that could be because it was a Sunday night. I would recommend this motel if you are in the area for a few days or just for overnight.

Made very very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Great rooms and facilities, including in-room internet, and internet access in the lobby. Great selection of foods for breakfast. Comfortable rooms, fully equipped. Very comfortable beds. Good location, easy to find. Close to the town.

"This is a Best Western?"

From the road this BW does not appear to be the norm with nice landscaping. The BW is surrounded by a sea of concrete, sharing a parking lot with a Dairy Queen. Once you are inside the BW, the rooms are fairly nice and the breakfast is adequate. The front desk staff was quite friendly. There is a lot of train traffic in the area. You can hear the train horns day and night. The WI-FI is hit and miss, mostly miss.

Because of the lot on which my hotel is located, much of the landscaping is toward the rear of the hotel, with gardens and a gazebo with outdoor seating and a charcoal grill for your use if you desire. They may not have told you about that area when you checked in. I really enjoy nature too and I like to take a walk in those gardens whenever I get the chance. I am sad that you were disappointed with your stay. I try to make all of my guests happy.

This place is a real dump and my last experience at a Best Western. This is a very old hotel that is in the process of being remodeled. Our room was dirty. The bathroom smelled of urine. The carpet was wrinkled and needed to be re stretched. The threshold on the door was broken. In the evening there was a group men that carried their chairs outside their rooms smoking and drinking beer. My wife stepped on 2 large bugs. It is hard to regulate the temperature on the shower. The stopper in the sink does operate properly and lets the water run through slowly and when you do finally get enough water to use and you are finished, the sink is plugged up so it drains very slowly. Wallpaper was pealing off the wall. We declined the free breakfast in the unappealing area. Again, this is an old motel and most of the doors to the rooms are outside doors and not in a hallway. That should be a clue. Being rated on Trip Adviser as the #1 hotel in Goshen makes me wonder about the credibility of these ratings.

beds were super comfortable. rooms were spotless, bathrooms well stocked. breakfast buffet had waffle maker and eggs w sautéed mushrooms, ham, and sausage, and biscuit gravy had lots of sausage bits. Front desk staff very helpful and efficient.

I stay at this hotel location at least 2 times a year while driving from MN to the east coast for vacation. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are very clean and modern. I also enjoy the breakfast every morning before we leave to hit the road!
