SureStay by Best Western Ellensburg

Staff here is terrible at doing what they say about deposit refunding. I checked out nearly a week ago and still have not been refunded the room deposit as it was stated that inwould be during my check in of the room. When I call to inquire about what is going on, I am fed the same generic lines aboutnhownits been submitted to my bank, but my bank has no record of it...??

Outstanding GM in Lisa Martin who manages a good team. Convenient location, quiet and good amenities for value point hotel. Clean, orderly, great resting base for regional events adventures in Ellensburg. Pool is clean, complimentary breakfast has varied options to eat in or on the go.

It was a last-minute trip for Rodeo weekend. Although the hotel is not the finest the accommodation suited well. Lisa the general manager was so helpful and went Above and Beyond in many ways. The customer service from every one of the staff was stellar. That is something you don't see or hear much about these days

Great place for the price. Clean hotel and rooms, friendly and attentive staff and good breakfast with hot and cold options in a clean small room near lobby. Hot tub was also really hot and clean. Key cards worked every time which is better then some expensive hotels can do. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was a WIN!!! Everything felt new and shiny and clean, and the breakfast was above and beyond for a hotel breakfast. Not a single thing to regret. Our family walked in and I felt myself physically unclench. So so good. Do yourself a favour and choose this one!

Great reception - Wendolee was great. They had an indoor pool, continental breakfast, guest laundry - all for a very reasonable price. The rooms were a bit dated but had everything one could need. Hot tub too. Ellensburg is a very windy place - that's why you see wind generators on both sides of town.

Excellent stay for my second time! All the staff are super friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and amenities are fantastic! Safe area and close to the freeway! Pet friendly and fees are reasonable. Everyone loved saying hi to my pup! Will definitely be back! Thank you SureStay!

Look the hotel isn't gonna blow you away with anything, but it's clean, the staff are nice, breakfast was good and it has a pool and hot tub. Belgian waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal and muffins were all delicious. Very affordable in 2024 and what you get for that price is very much worth it.

Great value for a nice clean room, Very quiet and close to a lot of fast food, restaurants and coffee. the staff was very friendly. Bed was comfy. And the air conditioning unit was actually quiet As compared to some places i've stayed. It is a slightly older motel but well kept up. One word of warning. Is there is no elevator if you are on the upper floors, But the stairs indoors are easily manageable.

Absolutely no housekeeping services for the three nights of the stay. The bed was never made, no clean towels and the front desk was uninterested. Each day when asked why the room was not serviced the clerk merely said, "I will look into it." It was not serviced the next day or the next and they didn't seem to care.

I stayed in an accessible room. It was easy getting to the room. The room itself was very pleasant with light blue ceiling and walls. Very restful. And everything was clean. The TV was easy to use, there was a chair; I could have used like a little table to put my dinner on so I could watch TV. The bed was very comfortable. I slept through a rock !! The bathroom is what really impressed me. There are so many bars in the tub, they had a transfer bench, the bar next to the toilet runs from the corner all the way around to almost the sink. The shower is handheld and the water nice and warm. I didn't run out! This was an impromptu stop so I didn't have a lot of my own supplies. They supplied soap and shampoo and conditioner which really helped. The bathroom is nice and big it will easily accommodate a wheelchair, a tip is I would leave the door cracked if you can because the floor got a A lot of condensation on it, which made it impossible for me to walk with my Canes. Had I left the door open along with running the fan that would not have happened. I would also suggest that they provide for each person at least one more Bath towel and two more face towels: again this is per person. They were lavish with directions when I needed to find some things in town and the directions worked. All told I will stay there again when traveling through from Cheney to Seattle and back. I didn't get a chance to try the breakfast because I slept through it, but it has a Wendy's next-door a Burger King and Starbucks is like half a block down, there is a place that I would have loved to have tried, but I didn't see it in the dark. You have your choice there's also a chili roadhouse that looks good. Try it. I think you'll like it. Grammy Dot

The room was clean, the beds were comfy, the young woman at the front desk was smart and sweet and the water bottles were a perk! We are staying there the next time through, to be sure!

Folks, this hotel is more than good. I booked a room here because we needed a place to spend the night while on a road trip, and all the hotels in Ellensburg had almost doubled their normal prices that weekend for some reason. After reading the reviews, I was nervous that it would be an absolute dump of a hotel. Yes, the carpets, bedding, and bathrooms were outdated, but that's the only negative thing to say about it. It wasn't dirty at all. In fact, I could tell that the housekeeping service went above and beyond to make our room clean and tidy. The staff member when I checked in was incredibly kind and helpful. My spouse and I arrived pretty late (1:30 am) but he stayed up to wait for us. He even showed us the best place to park and which entrance was closest to our room. Breakfast was fine too. I've seen a lot of reviews about no protein options - but there were eggs, yogurt, and biscuits & gravy. If you're arriving late, I would advise that you call the hotel's number that morning and tell them your situation. That's what I did, and it sounded like they might have given away our room if I hadn't warned them beforehand.

This is an older property, with small rooms, limited amenities, and a pre-ADA feel to it. Lots of stairs and a lack of ramps and elevator.). The staff was very nice and efficient, the room was clean, the bathroom amenities were good, the Wi-Fi was spectacular. The room itself smelled like something had died in it when we entered. It smelled like a combination of chemicals, old fast food, and general staleness. Not good. We aired it out for half an hour. I recommended that little-used rooms (we had asked for something quiet and were send to the third floor) be regularly aired out prior to welcoming guests.

This is a basic hotel that is tired looking and would benefit from an extensive update. As for the rooms, they're basic with a comfortable mattress, but horribly uncomfortable tiny pillows. Just one USB port in our room and not much storage. The walls are thin and the plumbing is loud, so bring ear plugs. That said, most guests seem to understand this as the hotel was full and we only heard the people next door and directly above us and we were even next to an entrance. The front desk and housekeeping staff are wonderful!

Check in was quick, rooms were clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast had great self made waffles and muffins, cereal, toast, English muffins, apple and orange juice and yogurt. Staff as very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

I have been thinking about the pillows since I left they were wonderful didn't stay for breakfast but they did offer I had to leave early am. great place with pool area kids looked like they were having a blast inside great location shower was nice and hot loved my stay here in Ellensburg

First time staying here. Was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and size of room. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Walking distance to restaurants/mini-marts. Swimming pool was very nice & clean as well. Staff was polite.

This is a 2 1/2 circle rating. We reserved two rooms in early March for April 26th at this property. Our previous experiences with other BW properties around the state (WA) have typically been positive and predictable; Ellensburg BW-plus, Sea-Tac, Sunnyside and Yakima to name a few. Our rooms (115 & 113) were a real disappointment. I really couldn't believe this was a BW property. -hole in the wall where the cable wiring passed -damaged furnishings -water-stained decomposing wooden dowel in the window (presumably for security?) -tissue container dislodged from the bathroom vanity -bolt cover missing from the toilet base -queen bed -least selection of cable channels I can remember anywhere -minimal breakfast with inadequate accommodation; we went to a diner instead. All this for $157 per room (member rate before taxes). The following night (Saturday) the room listed for $83. I understand demand pricing and that BW is in business to generate (and maximize) a profit. I wouldn't have minded if it were a typical BW accommodation. It was not. It appears that BW acquired this property and with minimal finishing threw in some furnishings and called it a BW. Our accommodations could not have been mistaken for what was being shown on the ‘SureStay' promotional channel on the television at the property. I can only assume that every other guest on the 26th was a diamond member as I seem to have received the worst accommodations on the property as a platinum member. I hope this property is generating a healthy margin as it is damaging the BW reputation in my opinion. We have to return to Ellensburg in July and next April. It is a near impossibility that we will stay here again and certainly not for $157. Note, this is not intended as a criticism of the employees working at the property. I responded objectively to a survey regarding our stay and the property Assistant General Manager promptly replied with an apology. I take no pleasure in complaining but this was indeed a memorable disappointment. BW can do better than this, and they need to.

I was on my way to Seattle and didn't want to drive straight thru. Good location, easy off and on the freeway and lots of eating choices nearby.

The hotel was ok. It was clean. The only issue was there were kids in the hot tub causing problems and when reported the front desk did nothing.

Most uncomfortable bed EVER. The staff were very friendly but this hotel is just terrible value for money. Breakfast was ok, and the waffles were lovely…but it's a hotel that should not be rated as a hotel…rather a very budget motel.

Good place to stay for the price and convenience. The room furnishings are dated but clean and neat. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Breakfast room is clean and good selection for continental breakfast. Had good service from the front desk, breakfast room, and housekeeping staff. Definitely would recommend.

From the friendly staff to the quiet room, my room exceeded my expectations! The pool and hot tub were clean (although the jets weren't working). The continental breakfast had a wonderful variety of items, including delicious biscuits and gravy! Room was clean and quiet except for garbage truck at 5:00 a.m. Parking lot was well lighted and secure and noticed multiple car charging stations. I would definitely recommend this hotel, as it is a great value for all of the amenities that you receive (especially as a Rewards member)!

Great and affordable hotel. Great swimming pool and spa. Excellent customer service. Rooms are nice and comfortable and cleaned well. I stayed with my young kiddos and they had an awesome time swimming in the pool and felt comfortable chilling in the room!

I got this room for under $70 after all fees and tax, so I wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised with friendly staff, clean and comfortable beds, a smart TV, and a lovely breakfast. This will be my new go-to when stopping for the night in Ellensburg.

Nice and solid, simple stay. Room was clean and comfortable. This property has been changed several times, and the remodel is very nice. We were pleasantly surprised. Desk staff were professional and cheerful.

The accommodations are basic and the breakfast is basic but it works great to save a few bucks. The room is very clean and everything works great. The bathroom is small and the a/c is a little loud but workable. You do hear a little rail noise if everything is turned off. You don't really notice if the TV is on. I do wish they had direct TV or something. The channels are extremely limited. Overall it was a good stay and a great price.

This hotel has a great value compared to the other higher priced hotels in the area. Rooms were clean and most of the staff were very friendly. The vending machines did have expired stuff, and the laundry machines were filled with quarters, so I could not use them since the quarters would not go in. Breakfast was continental for sure, and it was all carbs, but the waffles were good. Another thing is that the property smelled like cigarettes everywhere even though it is a "nonsmoking" hotel. However, I will not hold that against the hotel since the clientele of this sort of hotel it is to be expected. Overall, it is great value if you are looking for a clean short stay in Ellensburg, especially when you have to wait for Snoqualmie pass to reopen!

The room was very comfortable room 125 hope I can get it next week perfect location, front desk staff was very pleasant and professional I loved the biscuits and gravy and room service was top notch,i can't wait to stay next week

Rooms were clean,beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows, lots of variety for continental breakfast, pet friendly, staff was very friendly and helpful,quiet would definitely stay recommend and stay again

This was a great hotel for the area and price. Remember it is a 2 Star, not a 3 Star rated hotel. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was typical, but there was a good choice and they kept the food well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the room itself was good sized. The only drawback is that there is no elevator, but again, it is a 2 Star so that is expected. I would stay here again.

Chose SureStay for visit to Ellensburg because of previous stays but never again. Really nasty room!! Smelled terrible and musty even with the window open. No carpet but had cement tiles that is indication of pet room. We did not have pet or nor did we request pet room. Colors were very outdated like mustard yellow, scour green and browns! Hole in the bathroom door. The price was outrageous..$259.00... because of an "event". The following weekend rate was $79.00!! Was a noisy room by the side entrance and should be banned!! Never again will we stay at SureStay!!

Its an older hotel, but the beds were good sheets clean and its very secure!! doors all locked it felt very safe! Breakfast was great close to everything! AC/Heating needs updated heater didn't work but the AC did!!

Having a Tesla charging station in the adjacent parking lot was great. We chose this hotel because there was a Tesla charging station and we could get a full charge while we sleep, which permitted faster traveling the next day. Thanks

I Travel a lot and use booking.com a lot and I've never given any company such a bad rating but Unfortunately, I have to give the “maybe stay“ hotel a zero because we never ended up staying there. They gave away our room. We arrived at 11:59 pm on an Saturday night after an event at the gorge amphitheater. we had called them in the morning to inform them of our planned midnight arrival time and were assured it was fine. When we arrived, exhausted and ready for sleep, they told our room had been given away! At the height of the season we knew there was no other rooms for miles around. Somehow We lucked out with a a referral to the days inn 1 mile down the road. Sam the night desk manager took pity on us because I was practically in tears and gave us a room That was the “break glass in case emergency” room. Thanks days inn! Otherwise I would've been sleeping in my car in the parking lot of the sure stay - sorry but don't trust sure stay.

I had car trouble coming into Ellensburg and Josh was amazing. We got in late and first thing in the morning the hotel repairman, Josh, upon hearing of our problem, set out trying to help. He didn't even hesitate to help us out and get us back on the road. He went above and beyond. Thanks Josh! Great staff, nice and clean. Super friendly.

Rooms were clean, friendly staff. Pool was clean. Breakfast was small but perfect for on-the-go. The building is older but situated right by a lot of fast-food options and close to freeway. 3rd floor was quiet.

I was most impressed with the text messages before, during and after my stay. The staff was warm and friendly. The only issue I had was that if I wanted to pay CASH, I could NOT give my credit card which made absolutely no sense. They wanted 100.00 MORE cash for a deposit. The idea of giving a credit or debit card is the SAME as giving 100.00 CASH. What's the difference? Otherwise the stay was great and I highly recommend SureStay to everyone.

Will never come here again, and questioning using Best Western in the future. We booked a room for my family, which included my son who uses a power wheelchair. When I reserved the room I was very specific I needed ADA. They told me that their ADA room only had a single bed so that would not work. So she agreed to book me a room with two queen size beds in the main floor so that my son could get in. We drove 4 1/2 hours and very tired and when we got there, we were told they didn't have a room for us on the main floor. They simply said, “sorry we don't know what happened“! It left me, my wife and my son in a wheelchair driving around, trying to find another hotel Thanks a lot for ruining our night

It is an older Super 8 that has been rebranded. About the same amenities and it is clean. The staff is polite and accommodating. The location is good with many fast food places near. The breakfast is really minimal. I had a hard time finding anything offered to hold me over until I could get to one of the fast food places. Overall average.

Old building with new paint and somewhat updated. First floor is halfway underground. No elevator but there is a ramp to lead to lower level. Breakfast can only be accessed by a few stairs. Generic continental breakfast with waffles. Probably as clean as you can get an old building that is reasonably priced. Pleasant, helpful staff.

Was a great stay! Front desk clerk was awesome very friendly and helpful. Tried accommodating having family put close together and was very helpful. Rooms were clean and very comfortable beds. A little dated the rooms but it was worth it with the price and the comfort.

Stayed for one night. Hotel is very noisy. The doors shake when someone walks by. The bedding was full of dog hair. Front staff was not helpful. Beware of extra charges that are billed to your account that they can't see.

I only got to stay one night, but the night employee, Monica, was so helpful and so kind!! I tend to have a lot of questions :) Our room was super cute, felt retro-70s themed. The pool was nice with a small hot tub, and the morning breakfast was hot and delicious. Will definitely stay here when passing through again!

I had car/chain issues coming over the Mt pass. All your staff were amazingly helpful. The maintenance guy, Josh, went above and beyond. He safely removed my broken chains from around my axle. Josh really deserves special recognition.

Just off I-90, so had a lot of freeway traffic noise. Packed, a lot of construction workers staying there. Breakfast could be improved on with more variety (eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy, etc.), but better than just apples and muffins.

Staff is very professional, breakfast is exceptional, very clean room, parking lot is big, and they also have a lot of charging station electric cars. The staff is very helpful with anything that you might need.

Excellent management throughout 8 night stay during busiest week of year in Ellensburg. Clean, quiet room. The staff, from housekeeping, front desk and GM Roy Lease are skilled, accommodating, professional and pleasant. Grandkids and friends (who also booked rooms) loved pool, supplemental breakfast, parking and proximity to Starbucks.

Nice place for the price as it was clean and comfortable. My granddaughters loved the pool. They also had a nice free breakfast in the morning that included biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles , and more. The staff was also very nice.

Had never stayed at Sure Stay before, but found it to be very nice. The whole building was clean and modern, check in was fast, and the rooms have all the nice amenities that I like and use. I can easily recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay.

During my stay the hotel staff was kind. It was the level of cleanliness that concerned me. I traveled with my small dog and under the bed was a M&M and cheese ball. From who I don't know?!? Than, the chair on desk was broken, and the bath tub leaked. Overall not a place I can see myself and family staying again.

Customer service at check in and checkout was great. Receptionists were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Rooms were clean. Beds and pillows were comfortable. In the morning, I got a text message from reception asking if there was anything I needed to make my stay more comfortable. I had just discovered I didn't have coffee cups so I asked for some. They brought cups up to me in about 3 minutes tops. Breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold breakfast items to choose from. There is nothing better than good hospitality. Decent breakfast, room was clean and quiet. Pool and hot tub were good. We especially appreciated that the room doors close quietly! However, the pool area is very muggy. They try to ventilate, but ventilation is inadequate. Apparently they're working on this.

Nasty rooms. Dirty and outdated flooring. Smelled of old cigarette smoke. Had a hard time breathing!! Carpets are as old as the building and made your feet dirty if walking on them. This hotel was so overpriced for a 2-star hotel. I would have had better rooms in a Motel 6

In the very early hours of July 26th, the fire alarm went off in the hotel. Everyone wandered outside expecting a false alarm, but unfortunately there was an electrical malfunction which caused a small fire. The night desk clerk, Monica, did an incredible job running around assuring the guests, keeping us informed, while also working with the arriving fire services. Because of the fire, not all guests were able to return their rooms—my daughter and I included! Monica worked diligently with each guest who was being displaced for the night. She kept us informed about our room situations and also called other area hotels to make arrangements for those of us who could not be accommodated at the SureStay. The hotel was fully booked the night the fire happened and staying at the hotel was not possible. Monica remained calm, polite, pleasant and was very understanding with each guest as we maneuvered through where we were going to be for the rest of the night. My daughter and I were able to get a room at a different hotel near by. The cost fully covered by SureStay! The SureStay Hotel by Best Western Ellensburg is a nice hotel for the price. I was happy to be staying there and was enjoying my accommodations. I'm sure this type of emergency is every hotel worker's nightmare. SureStay handled it with compassion for their guests—making sure they were safe, accounted for, and had a bed to sleep in either there or somewhere else. Kudos to Monica for the incredible service she gave with “grace under pressure!”

We broke down in Ellensburg on our road trip from Minnesota. We were lucky enough to run into one of the housekeepers,Desiree and her husband at a local gas station. They're not only offered to help fix our car but later contacted the hotel for us. When we arrived we were given an emergency discount and treated amazing. Over the next couple days they continued to work well with us Joanna went above and beyond at the front desk. We had two children with us who were starting to feel cramped and they didn't bat an eye. They were genuine and helpful and not the fake helpful because it's their job but the real helpful. The one that just makes you want to write a review. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling or looking for a place for family to stay while visiting. They turned what could have been an extremely stressful and even more miserable visit into not just bearable but enjoyable.. Thanks again ladies and Best Western!!!!

The ADA Room that adjoined our room was great for my daughter. The Wheelchair Lift in the pool made it very easy for my daughter to join the rest of the family in the pool and spa. For the first time in awhile my daughter did not feel like a burden because she was able to independently get in and out of the pool.

Excellent for price. Really clean. Comfortable bed. Bathroom small but clean and everything worked. New. Staff courteous.breakfast minimal but ok. We were quite happy. We will stay again next trip through.

We stayed here for a night because my husband had a procedure done at the hospital in town. The front desk people gladly allowed us a late check out so he could have a little more rest afterwards. Also, had a room key issue and the gal at the front desk and the maintenance man were both more than happy to help and didn't act like it was a pain. The room was very clean and we didn't hear any noise from the hallway which was nice. Definitely would stay here again!

First, Jack was able to find us a room with two beds when every hotel was fully booked. He was super helpful during our entire week-long stay. Our room nice, tidy and well maintained. It was cleaned and straightened each day. The overall service and feel of this hotel was wonderful.

I was hesitant to book at this hotel because it's cheaper than most in the area. However, I'm glad that I did. The hotel room and common areas were clean and comfortable. The room was on the small side, but liked recently remodeled and had everything we expected. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub. All of us had a good breakfast in the morning. It was obvious that staff really care about quality service. They were friendly and kept everything nice.

Definitely an older building- rooms outdated and basic but clean. The lighting in the rooms was a weird dingy yellow overhead light and the room was almost a basement room (first floor) that overlooked an elevated parking lot. Not loud so easy to sleep- I didn't stay for breakfast. Hotels in this city are very expensive so whether this is a value for over $150 a night I couldn't say. Staff were wonderful though. Overall not a bad experience for an overnight stay while traveling.

Older hotel. You can hear the TV from the next room. Doors slam up and down the hall. Not impressed with the breakfast selection. Coffee and apple juice was watered down. Got into the breakfast area about 8:30 am and not alot food to chose from. Direct TV was awful. Not alot of programs to chose from. Wide gap under the door leading into the hallway.

I had confusing reservations that had been duplicated, and the person at the desk, Jack, straightened it all out in a matter of minutes. We enjoyed the motel staff, cleanliness and breakfast. An excellent experience.

Cozy room, avocado & harvest gold paint job, avocado & harvest gold bed spread, frayed carpets, open clothes closet at end of bed, pool/hot tub closes at 10pm. Room #221 adjoins a stairway & Exit with foot traffic at all hours of the night. Our BWP reservation charged us $128 for a room that normally lists online at $81 - Reception staff explained that it was a "weekend event" even though it was only a Thursday.

Tired property, not up to normal Best Western quality. Only book if you are looking for Motel 6 quality. Hard to believe that Best Western would have this facility as an option on their website! Had not stayed at a Sure Stay before and will not make the mistake a second time.

As SureStay is BWs budget line of hotels, this was a pleasant surprise. Check-in was pleasant and efficient, plus the dining recommendation turned out to be quite good. The room was basic but clean. The mattress was comfortable. My personal pet peeve is light intrusion while trying to sleep, and while there was some, it was not bad. Breakfast was what I expected at this price point. Make your own waffles, cold cereals, etc. One pleasant surprise was that they still have brewed coffee instead of the instant concoction that BW properties have switched to. A bonus for drivers of EVs is that there is a Tesla Supercharger site immediately adjacent and an Electrify America site within two minutes walking distance at the Taco Bell two doors down from the hotel. The EA site (and restaurant) is set back from the road a good deal so it's easy to miss.

The hotel was clean, the room was clean the stuff we're super friendly the bed was comfortable the water pressure in the shower was great. The only issue I had was the hot tub with somewhat cold and the step to get down into it between the two handles is quite dangerous. It's a small diamond that my foot slipped off of

Great front desk service when I 90 closed due to traffic collision on the pass. I appreciate the new carpet in Galway and laminated flooring in the rooms with stylish linen. Direct TV Great. 3 obvious black short hairs in shower/tub…Eww Room appeared clean but these were obviously visible from toilet and leave guests feeling that the room was in need of better detailed cleaning

The breakfast is great,, lots of hot choices, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, waffles. nice old selection, muffins, yogurt, juice, fruit, hard boiled eggs. gloves to keep the germs away too. Just wish we knew the hot tub was not working,, that was a big bummer., they should have mentioned it at check in. . The wifi was off and on. the handicap room was great,, 2 showers!

Excellent motel just off the I90 west of Seattle. Friendly staff and clean rooms - just what we needed after making it across the snowy Snoqualmie Pass. M on the front desk was kind to open the breakfast room just before 6am so we could get some thing to eat before setting off on the next leg of our journey - thank you!

Mixed bag. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The rooms are basic but it worked fine. The big minus is the breakfast. Very Very Skimpy!!! No protein items so I hope you like starch and sugar. I would still stay here again but until they do a better breakfast I will skip that part.

This just recently became a SureStay Hotel and it is exactly what it is, designed for the traveler just passing through. When we stayed, the room was clean and comfortable. At the entry was a split level so not many stairs to climb either way. On busy nights, the parking lot is crowded and areas of the parking lot were darker than would be comfortable. Check in was easy, staff was friendly. For the money and the purpose of the hotel, it is good. We would stay again. Fast food and restaurants are in the area. I like the fact that they are pet friendly. In fact, we are planning another trip to the Seattle area and had our choice of booking a room at Snowcap Best Western (a very nice resort type hotel) or at Sure Stay. Wanting to have our new puppy with us made that choice for us easy due to a "no pet" policy at the other hotel.

This was a budget hotel experience. It was better than some, but it was still a budget hotel and it felt like it. It was not a Best Western experience, which I have generally come to trust. Room was acceptable, amenities were reasonable, area felt safe, but it wasn't a place I would choose to stay except for a quick pass-through.

We stopped for one night on our way through town. An averaged sized room in an average hotel. There is no elevator, so depending on where your room is located getting your luggage up the stairs to your room could be a problem. The bed was comfortable but whatever cleaning products they use were very overpowering.

We have stayed in SureStay twice now. I generally choose the nicest hotel in the area, it was booked and this was all we could find... the first time. The second visit to Ellensburg, WA we CHOOSE SureStay. Super nice, accommodating, very happy! Will return.

Check in was easy. The guy at the front dest was very nice. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn't need a lot of extras as we were taking our son to college. We enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to return. The breakfast was simple but good. We enjoyed our stay- Thank you!

We were on a road trip, scheduled stop here just to sleep. Really nice staff, good place to sleep. We arrived just as they were closing the swimming pool, so could not go. Good location, places with fast food at walking distance.

This SureStay is certainly not a Best Western Plus. Room was small and the breakfast did not have much to offer. We did enjoy our time in Ellensburg catching up with friends. Our situation did not allow us to stay for the rodeo coming up.

Check-in went smoothly and the lobby was clean although it's an older hotel. The moment I walked in to our room I smelled tabacco smoke. I just figured that the whole hotel must have that odor and assumed the rest of the rooms probably would too. We should have turned around and requested another room at that point! I was thankful that the window opened and opened it all the way along with the heavy curtain and turned on the bathroom fan. We couldn't sleep with the curtain open due to bright lights shining in to our 2nd-floor room and street noise. So, closed the curtain in the middle of the night. There was no getting used to the strong odor - woke up several times and felt ill from the smell. The next morning I noticed that a previous room occupant had COVERED THE SMOKE DETECTOR with a piece of plastic garbage bag! Housekeeping should have noticed the strong smell or/and the covered smoke detector when the room was cleaned. We told the front desk about our experience when checking out. She was apologetic. I suggested that they deep-clean the room including carpet, mattresses, and furniture.

It was comfortable and clean, but if you're on any floor but the first, hope you don't have a lot to lug up the stairs. We were put on the 3rd floor, then told there was no elevator. It was fun lugging all our stuff up 3 floors. Breakfast was okay and there was a lot within walking distance.

This staff simply amaze me by their humbleness and their genuine care and concern. They do not treat you like a simple guest on travel, they treat you like your home away from your home. The general manager is bright, funny, he is caring and patient..he listens and helps..the staff from the front desk, Johanna, let's say if you have the pleasure of being assigned your room, reservations or simple check ins by this Gem then you hit the small town humble lottery. Johanna makes you feel 100% like home and happiness. The night clerk Daniel is always helping and smiling and asking how you are..making coffee round the clock for the night drinkers..fresh and hot..and Patrick..the maintenance man, the very first night we were there we had a small air conditioning issue, the next day this man comes and puts in a whole new unit with a quickness, a smile, a joke, and care, and continued to do nothing but show that the entire stay with whatever we needed or wanted for that matter. The hotel always smelled fresh and super clean, the bedding smelled like it was brand new and that is because the housekeeping there is beyond excellent..they are so sweet, giving..always checking on you with kindness and concern and Maria..is THE BEST..and Brittany is outstanding..busting her butt all the time with a smile..thank you to this entire establishment for their generosity and care..love and concern it will never be forgotten and always in the Haney Hearts ..

The chemical smells and odor as soon as you walk in the door is overwhelming. The room was not much better, and even the towels had a nasty chemical smell. It's also expensive for a very basic room. Stay away!

We love this hotel, Next time we take a trip we will be using a Best Western Hotel, No matter where it is. Whether it be back to Ellensburg or just a local trip to the coast or to see family, We enjoyed our stay and was very pleased.

My daughter, myself and three grandsons spent the night. We booked with a phone call. Very clean, nice beds, great pool, friendly staff. Dorothy very pleasant and professional as was dining room and cleaning staff. We'll be back. This is an older facility but well managed and maintained. Recent change of ownership caused some confusion with the online site.

This hotel is a excellent place to stay for a good night sleep. The bed was very comfortable and room was very clean . I found the staff friendly and helpful on where the best restaurant is and what's around town to go see . I would definitely stay here again

I have stayed at 3 Surestay's this trip and this was the highest priced. Both others offered nicer rooms and a better breakfast. I also stayed in a couple Best Western Plus hotels and they are in the same price range as this even offering a full hot breakfast. I also have stayed at the Day's Inn in Ellensburg and it is better rooms for about half the price.

Stayed here spur the moment for 3 nights with 2 adjoining rooms for our family & dog. The entire motel was exceptionally clean with employees cleaning all the time. The pool & hot tub were MINT, newly updated/painted and we reserved it for ourselves for an hour due to Covid-19 protocol. Staff was super friendly, parking was well lit, motel located walking distance to food, shopping, coffee stands and the price per night more than reasonable w/ breakfast bags to go provided daily.

I had to stay in Ellensburg as I traveled to Seattle for business and had a wonderful stay! Rooms were clean! The lady at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating her name was Dorothy. If I ever have to travel through again will definitely stay here.

Stayed here last night Tuesday Oct 20, 2020. I have stayed at many hotels and this was the best by far. Check in was great, Jack, the young man at checkin was quick, very friendly, and just a great person to chat with. The room was very clean, temp of room was spot on. Bed was comfy with great pillows. Bathroom was very clean, shower was great, nice bath towels. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks to the great staff at this Super 8.

Checked in at 1am when I was just too tired to drive any longer. The front desk girl, Monica (easy name to remember cause I watched Friends in my 20s lol), was a dear! Love the decorated lobby also! Definitely going to stay again next time!

Smelled like a cheap hotel as soon as you entered hallway. Put on second floor with no elevator, though obviously handicapped and plenty of rooms on first floor. Indoor swimming pool too cold to swim in. Shower over tub hard to turn on and no bars or handles for safety grip. Breakfast was OK with waffles, but no eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns etc.. Beware, you get what you pay for.
