If you are looking for a clean facility - go somewhere else. My husband and I were travelling all week and stayed in many different hotels. I do not consider myself to be a clean freak by any means and this one, was by far, the worst one. Sheets were dirty - had to be rebooked into a different room; tub wasn't clean - The breakfast area was, in my opinion, very unhygienic - tables were not cleaned off, garbage appeared to have more than a days worth of garbage, etc. I will not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
It was ok . Front desk tried to put us in a second floor room with no elevator, my husband walks with a cane and can't do stairs so that had to be changed. The front desk clerk seemed somewhat out of it, not sure if he was tired or what. Room seemed clean at first but there was milk and a protein drink in the fridge. The shower was ok but the rod isn't high enough so the curtain pools in the tub and gets soaked . Toiletries include bar soap and shampoo , no conditioner. I looked at the pool and it seemed pretty yucky , didn't attempt breakfast so can't speak to that. If I were alone I would be concerned about security, the door did not have a deadbolt and the back door is left open for anyone to walk in instead of activated by room cards .
Bathtub didn't drain well; filled while taking a shower; eventually did drain. Place just looked old and unkept. Both mornings breakfast pans (2) were empty and all else I saw were a couple boxes of cereal and a gallon milk jug. Not a horrible experience but think they could do much better; probably wouldn't stay there again.
Been here before for a football game, decide to try it again for a game that we were in town for, the property has seriously gone down hill, from, Front desk was rude, and the rooms were dirty, Breakfast was very poor and cold, the price is not worth it.
Everything is dirty, worn out, and broken. Ac barely worked. Pool was disgusting. Vomit and feces in the water. Breakfast was lame. Staff is unfriendly. Their food smells overwhelmed the place.
I'm all for a cheap no-frills motel but this is worse than the Bates Motel. My daughter thought a murder had taken place in the room. Blood on the pullout couch mattress and trash in the floor and staff that pretended they didn't understand what I was saying so they didn't have to do anything.
Pros: This hotel is in a safe and quiet area, close to downtown Edmond and Route 66. The hotel is generally pretty quiet since it's not on a major highway. Cons: 1. The hotel staffed seemed pushy. In the early afternoon, at 5pm I got a call asking what time I'd be there and told them 11pm. At 11:05 I got a call saying if I wasn't there by 11:30 they'd cancel my reservation. (I showed up at 11:06). I've never had a "curfew" to check into a Best Western hotel, so that felt very odd. 2. The room wasnt very clean, and I hate to say it, but other reviewers weren't lying. I walked in and found a couple of small food crumbs on the table, a water ring on my night stand (it was removeable with a towel), and some other noticeable, tiny bits of trash that showed the overall cleanliness of the room wasn't great. 3. No elevators (so ask for a first floor room or prepare to haul your junk up the stairs) It was fine for an overnight stay, but I'd probably consider other options in the area if I was going to stay multiple nights.
Simple and clean hotel. Although not upscale or fancy, it was peaceful and we got a good night's rest after a long drive. Breakfast offered scrambled eggs, sausage toast with jelly, sweet rolls, yogurt and juice. Conveniently located right off the interstate and easy to find.
Upon arrival, outside dumpster area was over run and doors open (same when I checked out). Room was unclean. One bedroom underneath the cover, sheets were dirty with debris all over it. Decided to try the other bed and sheets were fine but top cover had a displeasing stain. Floor was not vacuumed. Towels were used and dirty with fresh lipstick stains. And another had wads of hair. I slept in my clothes on top of the cleaner of the two beds. If it hadn't been so late, I would've changed hotels. I didn't ask for a refund because by the time I pulled my vehicle around to access a closer door, I was beyond 10 mins. Which is the allotted time after being issued a room key. The side door that I entered, entry way was disgusting because it had a dark colored liquid trail to the door as if someone was dragging a bag to the near by side dumpster that was closed and not over run.
Very disappointed. I called the office around noon the day of checkout. I told them that I got caught up in OKC, but we wanted to stay another night...and asked them to charge the card on file. The guy on the phone said he would, and assured us our room was paid for and I hung up. When I made it back to the hotel around 5, my key didn't work. I went to the office to get a new key and the guy at the desk said my room hadn't been paid for. I told him what the guy on the phone had said earlier that day,he told me there was no card on file. Confused, I asked for an hour to have my mom bring her card to pay for the room. I went up to my room. About 5 minutes later the same guy from the front desk came to my door and told me that his manager had been watching the cameras and we had to leave immediately. I explained again that the guy on the phone earlier that day said our room was paid for, had he not said that I would have been back earlier to pay the room. He said the guy I spoke with earlier that day actually didn't even work for the hotel,he was a friend of the managers. He then said I had to pay $30 right then to get my things from the room. This is complete nonsense. So, your telling me that ..because of a mistake that the person answering your phone's made(a non-employee of the hotel) I now am not only out somewhere to sleep tonight , but I have to pay $30 out of pocket to gather my things from the room? How fair is that? And if not, then the police will be called? How is this good practice? Is this how u treat all hotel guests? If you don't want mistakes made, like telling customers wrong company policies or procedures, you should probably not have "friends" posing as employees and answering the phones. And if you do decide to have "friends" answering your business phone and giving false information, at least own up to your mistakes and don't take it out on your paying guests and make them suffer for it. I will never stay at a best western hotel again, I will also be contacting the BBB, Facebook and Google reviews and warning all my friends and family. To the manager of this location, you should be embarrassed. Poor customer service skills and management skills.
I clean my room everyday and emptied and trash cans myself my my room was cleaned every day by me it's a nice hotels to stay at I recommend it to family and friends the price is through the week or lower than the weekends
Stained sheets Stained comforters Stained mattress covers Dust covered tv “Something” all over desk Mirrors disgusting Broken tub plug Dirty washcloth on shower bar Plaster coming off wall No acknowledgment of reward status Outer doors locks all broken or disengaged Broken lamp on desk
The hotel was unkempt and as was the staff. The rooms were so dirty we found food and debris from previous guests. The staff avoided guests and were unfriendly when they did encounter their customers.
The west outside side door entrance never locked. Very unsafe!!!! We came down for breakfast at 7:00 am. No cream for coffee, 2 disgusting sausage patties, and no eggs!! When we asked about the “hot breakfast” that was advertised, they said they were cooking more. There was not another guest in sight!!! They finally brought out 3 more sausage patties and something that tasted like watery egg powder. I've never experienced an egg square that tasted like rubber and water. It totally saturated my napkin with water!!! I suggest you keep on driving if you ever cross paths with this place!!!
Peaceful stay, front desk was helpful with any questions I may have had. The room was comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the eggs at breakfast time. The internet was fast and reliable. Would come back and stay in the future.
Traveling with our 5 month old puppy. This was adequate for our needs. Nothing fancy. Breakfast was pretty much processed foods with the addition of scrambled eggs and sausage. Apples were the only fresh fruit. White bread and 2 choices of bakery items. Fairly quiet and was in a great location for our particular need. Room was clean. Would probably stay again.
Have plenty of time, don't be tired when you go, because there was no one there to help that poor girl check us in with points. Once we got past the 45 minutes and her banging the phone up against the counter huffing very loudly reminding me that she could be cleaning instead of having to figure out the computer. She was very tired and frustrated and there was no one to call for help because her manager was on spring break and told her not to contact her for the whole week and she took it literally she didn't she had to call customer service through Best Western and they couldn't help her she couldn't figure it out.
This Best Western was small, but, oh, so cozy, quiet, and peaceful. My friend and I were visiting someone in nursing care, and we will stay here again. Very nice, and wonderful night's rest. Thank you for taking care us.
Mattress horrible made our backs hurt and ac made noise like it swallowed a BIRD all night long we would have extended but chose to go to another hotel because of the bed and the ac noise best western usually has better beds
Broken A/C / Animal Smell in Room / Tub leaked on carpet -- / Smoke detector beeping/ No Elevator to 2nd floor/ Dirty hallways and stairways ... need I say more. This was not a good place to stay in Edmond. It came recommended but our experience was sub par. Staff seemed like they new the place was falling apart -- and didn't really offer anything but "I'm sorry"
We were in Edmond to attend the wedding of our niece. Staffing personnel I met were friendly. They seemed to be stretched thin. I had to wait for a staff member to check in and to check out. The room was clean. The air conditioning unit was noisy and woke me up several times during the night. When I checked out I requested that the receipt be emailed to me. Never got it.
Very good staff of helpful, honest staff. If you are looking for perfection, this may not fit your expectations. If you desire, clean rooms, halls that may look a bit worn, some outlets seem on the loose side, and you good with living in your own home with young and older messy children. This is a good place.
Don't stay here. They have bed bugs! They also made no offers to compensate for the issues either by offering to sterilize our stuff so we wouldn't take them home or to comp the room. Lighting was bad and was dark. Hard to see in the room.
Four seniors traveling Route 66, stopped here for the night. The hotel itself was nice. The check in staff was friendly, and offered suggestions for supper. The rooms were large and clean. The only reason I gave them three stars is because of breakfast. It seems on Tuesdays, (when we were there), the manager was also the food person. The coffee machine was out of order (she called on that), but the food was scarce and not a big variety. I had to tell the lady that most of the food was out at 8:00am. She refilled the stuff after we were finished. Sausage, 2 pieces of dried out Canadian bacon, eggs, bread for toast and muffins. No cereal, no bagels, etc.
This hotel was quite nice, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast could have been a little more extensive, but it was adequate. Bed needs to be more pet friendly so that a small animal cannot get under the mattress, but we use pillows and blankets to block it off.
Each year on our way to Ft Worth we over night at Best Western Edmond, We are never disappointed with our stay. Starts with check in to check out. All employees are gracious and kind. Makes for a pleasant stay.
We have stayed at this best western before, and our experience was drastically different . Property must under new management, the front desk were helpful, the rooms seemed fresher . The breakfast was much better then previously with multiple options . We did have a room on the second floor but prefer a downstairs room. The are a lot new restaurants in this area that is a short 1-2 minute drive . The was a sports bar EDDYS next door that you can walk to.
Even though I got a discount being a member I felt that the room cleanliness was typical for a motel not hotel quality. I've stayed in many hotels paying in upwards to $200 a night which is posh compared to this hotel. I'm glad I didn't pay more than I did or I'd be rather upset. I've not had any issues with Best Western in the past; always been a great hotel & price. The reason for poor sleep quality is the beds & pillows are toooo soft for me. Next time I'll bring mine from home.
The hotel was clean, and the breakfast was hot and good, the sausage and eggs were hot and their was plenty of varieties with cereal, muffins and yogurt options . The front desk was helpful. The rooms had modern decor and the bathrooms were remodeled . The price was great .
Stayed with family during renovations. Good locations , The rooms were clean, and good breakfast hot, friendly service , the front desk was accommodating , a lot restaurant nearby , maintained rooms, shopping near by,
My wife and i travel a lot. Stay as far away from this hotel as you can. There are many other hotels in the area. Don't make the same mistake we did! Not one outside door locks. Grounds are not clean, over flowing garbage cans cigarette butts everywhere and no landscaping done.
When we checked in at night we were told the hours for breakfast, but in the morning at the time we were told, there was NOTHING left on a Friday. There's a sign on the wall that says breakfast goes until 10 a.m. on weekends, but it does NOT. So for 2 days we got no breakfast because they quit at 9 a.m. There's no communication between daytime & nighttime front desk staff. We had a huge safety issue with the handle of our shower. While water is running, it falls off. There was no maintenance person in the building that entire day to fix it. After 2 nights in the same room we got moved to a different room but no toilet paper in there. Stayed 3 nights & never saw a manager although I asked to talk with a manager. I won't be staying there again & DO NOT RECOMMEND it.
Do not stay at this dump! Once was a nice place to stay, no longer. Didn't have towels, nor did a friend have any in his room, front desk tried to give him dirty towels. Breakfast was cold, room was dirty, needed to vacuumed, bathroom door would not close, no ventilation in bathroom.
Good location and friendly staff. They need to make sure that they breakfast and a better option of coffee. Bed was very comfortable, and the chair was easy for my husband to sit in. They need to offer a two-room suite on the first floor for guest with mobility issues.
Overall, I was pleased with my stay at the hotel. There are some issues that need to be addressed before I return. They ran out of food early at breakfast and did not replenish anything. In addition, when I got into the room, there were no toiletries. The breakfast issue was never resolved but the toiletries were provide when asked for. The room was clean, the beds comfortable. It would be hard to stay here for more than one night.
My 83 year old mom, my sister, and I stayed at this hotel for one night on Friday 4/8/22 in Edmond, OK to go see my 6th grade niece perform in a school play. Although the staff were super friendly upon arrival and allowed us to check in early, I was surprised this two story hotel did not advertise it did not have an elevator which made it hard for my mom to climb the stairs. The front desk clerk was super nice and gave us a room right at the top of the stairs. When we got to our room, there were no towels and we had to call front desk to bring us towels which they brought up quickly. The TV remote didn't turn on the TV, but we were able to turn the TV on from the side button and the rest of remote features worked just fine, so I did not report it. There was some dust along the side walls of the carpet which didn't bother us and we had to call for an extra roll of toilet paper because only one was on the roll. Again, the front desk brought it up quickly and was super friendly about it. Breakfast is from 6 AM to 9 AM and we went to eat at 8:15 AM and they were completely out of bacon. Instead of having milk and juice machines, we had to get the milk from a jug in a small fridge. I was surprised since we are still dealing with COVID. There were no waffle machines, however, they had plenty of fruit, muffins and cereal. Overall the stay was nice. We have never stayed in a hotel room with three queen beds! The beds were super comfortable and the room was spacious. It even had a hide-a-bed couch for a fourth bed. This was awesome for the price I paid which was a total of $116.00. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. We had a beautiful window view of the back of the hotel seeing the rock wall and trees. I would definitely stay there again.
This location is definitely not representative of the brand we have come to expect and enjoy. Room was dirty and smelled stale. Fridge did not keep food cold Came down for breakfast at 830 - no hot items available, bread products were stale, the one container of milk in fridge was frozen - advised by front desk that once items were gone that was it no matter the time - no to go bags available Towels given by front desk - one was full of holes and the other 2 looked like home bath towels - one pink, one brown Pool water was green 2 doors in breakfast area - hanging from one hinge Overall this hotel was an expensive venture - especially when converted to Canadian funds and having to buy breakfast due to lack of it at the hotel. Very disappointed with what it cost to stay here given what we paid for and what we received. Cost us approximately 95$ Canadian plus the cost of our breakfast. Very disappointing.
Looks recently redone, no elevator for the second story The staff was kind and helpful. Moderate priced and they have cameras in the parking lot Older hotel but well kept Close the racetrack and OKC The room entrance is down the main hall. Indoor pool Would love the towels to be more absorbent Lots of local restaurants close
My stay here was perfect for a family memorial visit. The rooms were clean and quiet. There was hot breakfast with healthy options such as fruit and yogurt. Nothing fancy, but satisfying. Front staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was very nice. Price was cheaper than normal. Hotel was very clean. looked in at pool. Very clean !!! I asked for a bottom floor. And I got it. Considering that it was after 5 pm. Think i got really lucky!!!
Overall great for the price. The toilet doesn't shut up, and our shower didn't drain, the bathroom light didn't rly work. The night shift guy was super sweet and welcoming. The hotel overall was pretty clean.
Right in the lobby Best Western states their commitment to their guests. At this location, this commitment was false: - we never saw anyone spraying nor cleaning. Common space counters, doors, and fixtures were crusty with food waste and dirt. - did not see sanitizer stations throughout. One dispenser at front counter was empty. No sanitizer stations in dining area. - minimal grab and go options. Juice machine not working and didn't say so. Area shows significant wear. - social distancing signs on floor. -personal protective equipment not utilized by any of three employees we saw nor by other guests. Bed was nice. Water was warm for shower.
Overall a great hotel to stay in for the night. Super clean, great staff, pool area was clean, water was a little cold and only a few towels, breakfast is barely anything but the room was fantastic and the most comfortable bed and bedding I've had in a hotel. It's located in an area with tons of food options, gas and amenities.
Being members of Best Western Rewards Club we like to find a Best Western Plus or above I knew things were going to be “iffy” here when we pulled in and saw a tattered, worn, faded American flag on their pole out front and only about eight feet off ground. I asked at the front desk and the lady said that she was not allowed to touch the flag and that Dennis her boss told her “he did not care about the flag!” Add to that these facts “we only got room service one day out of the four we were here, we had to have our key reset each time we returned in the evening, always had to ask for paper cups, coffee and tea for our room and only one day they have any fresh fruit or any kind of snacks in the front reception dining area. This place is a disaster and should be closed. I am going to ask Best Western for part of my money back. Sorry to write this, Rick Strack
they advertise a breakfast. they show all of the tools but they no longer provide one. Yes, they have undated old packaged cookies and a small bottle of milk in the fridge. they served coffee from a pump container. the coffee maker and juice dispensers were not in use. The curtains and chair were torn. there was mold around the tub and toilet
When I arrived there were no towels in the room and the bathtub hadn't been cleaned. The next two days the beds were not made. Also, you could tell that someone had been in the room because there was new soap and shampoo and they took the bath mat and wash cloths. When I got back at 10 pm I asked the front desk to get some more towels, wash cloths and bath mat the guy said it would be two hours before any were ready. I wasn't going to wait till 12am. The next morning they still hadn't brought any fresh towels or wash cloths. When I got back that evening I had to request more towels.
I had stayed at this unit before but it seems to have dropped a notch or two. When I stated to take a shower the faucet handle came off in my hand. The shower drain was very slow draining causing me to have a lot of soap on my feet when I stepped out of the shower. The towels were about half the size a bath towel should be.
No shampoo available, and towels were only available after 9 p.m., due to them being in the laundry. Breakfast consisted of expired yogurt, half a muffin and no beverages (no coffee or juice). Very understaffed.
This place is pathetic. Please see photo of where my towels are supposed to be. Best Western seems to be trying out a few new concepts. Buy up a failed motel, put a BW sign in front, and see if any suckers will bite. I've been a sucker twice. Never again.
Run. We are usually pretty flexible, but this place literally told us that the manager had to go shopping before they could provide a coffee cup for our room. No "grab and go" breakfast even though they have it posted all over the walls that they do. Front desk help....Ha. No initiative....and still no coffee cup. Floors need to be vacuumed, tub is yellow and nasty and the drains are clogged. I understand a pandemic, but down right "Don't give a dam" isn't acceptable.
Highly encourage another hotel guy at the front desk acted as he was put out that we needed towels and would not bring them up and the TV is not working this place is going down hill bad. Would not ever stay at this location again
Exit door doesn't close properly, Room 701 door doesn't close properly. Carpet in hall needed to be vacuumed. Lav faucet running upon arrival and difficult to turn off to stop it from running. Carpet in room reeked of urine. Baseboard falling off wall and carpet next to bed. Big hole in wall had been patched poorly. Coffee and juice was all that was served for "breakfast". only given 2 towels and 2 washcloths....had to ask for bath floor mat and hand towels.
The first room we were put in was filthy and unacceptable. The second room we were moved the the AC did not work. We were moved back to the first room, the pullout bed had dirty sheets on it. There were tons of old food and trash under the bed. The faucet did not work in the tub, the shower curtain had mildew on it. The windows were dirty. The hallways looks as if they haven't' been vacuumed in months. I could go on and on......
I thought I could depend on BEST western Plus to be above standard. Our room was fine, but the tub didn't drain when showering, and 6 inches of water collected! The tub was very slippery as if bath oil had been used or slippery cleaning product! The tile entrance and tile bathroom floors were very slippery to our grooved rubber-soled shoes. I did report this safety issue to the front desk and the manager said she was looking into the chemical they used for cleaning! The grab and go breakfast was boxed Cheerios and fruit loops and milk! No yogurt, no individually wrapped biscuit and sausage, no boiled eggs, no individually wrapped pastries — all of which other hotels have served during pandemic! We stay at a lot of Choice hotels! If this is standard Best Western Plus substitute for hot buffet breakfast, they need to step it up!
I read the reviews about broken items not fixed, and assumed they would be addressed by the time I arrived. Bad assumption. I stayed for 4 nights due to business and couldn't wait to leave. Reported numerous problems I observed and nothing was fixed. First the positive: Staff was very friendly and courteous. Now the negative: 1. The room key cards didn't work at either the side or back door. Reported on the first day to management. Not fixed. 2. The dryer in the laundry room was broken. Reported on the first day to management. Not fixed. They did offer to let me use their commercial dryer, and I declined. 3. There was only one luggage cart and it had a flat/broken wheel. Reported it to management on day two. It disappeared and never returned. 4. The outside of the facility was unkempt. I also watched a guest allow her dog to do its business in the middle of the parking lot and not pick it up. Nothing was done. 5. Breakfast choices were limited in quantity, so if you arrived later rather than earlier, you got nothing. Didn't appear to be replenished. Choices were poor - convenience store wrapped muffins. 6. It's not easy to exit the hotel if you need to travel west on the main road - you need to go to the light and make a U-turn. I could continue, but you get the picture. I won't stay there again.
Super comfy beds, clean rooms, clean pool, decent breakfast even with covid restrictions. Staff was quick to respond. Dennis at the front desk went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed.. We would stay here again!
staff very friendly, but they have to be, signs on front doods say COVID ready but they are not. told room was ready but had a bad oder, i said use FABREEZ it works. ac filters had not been cleaned in how long no way to tell but they were full of filth. breakfast let not even talk about it UG. cig butts every where outside . had not been cleaned up in months.handicap dolly flat tires not usable.internet not working in rooms. i take my shoes off at home do the same as room and my feet turned colors so dirty carpets
Our key card didn't work when we returned to the room. There was only one washcloth in a room for 2 people and house keeping took our used towels and mat, but did not leave clean ones, so I had to use a hand towel as a washcloth. The remote didn't work properly.
This is a very reasonably priced hotel and my room was clean and comfortable. The internet worked perfectly. The door to my room made a harsh, grating sound on opening and refused to close without repositioning the bottom screw of the door plate. The screw basically went through the hole into a hollow space and served no security purpose. Most concerning was an inoperable fire exit door that would not allow exit because the latch mechanism was broken. I reported both problems to the front desk. On receiving my complaint, the attendant feigned surprise. I reported it again in the morning to another attendant with much the same reaction.
Worst BW experience ever, and second worst hotel experience ever. Untrained, unbelievably incompetent and uncaring desk staff. Neither clerk could figure out how to apply gift card, and had noone to call for assistance. NO security (security doors propped open, desk clerk sitting out in her car). Dirty breakfast room, worst pandemic non-breakfast ever, first room had a non-working sink, pink slime mold in bathtub in second room, trash in parking lot - just total overall evidence of poor management. Direct conversation with manager detailing issues, he promised a call back - but never called
No elevator had to lug luggage up the steps, once in room air conditioning was very poor not cooling tried to call office phone inop had to use cell phone they didn't offer to move to another room supplied fan to try to keep cool
The hotel was clean and the staff was nice but the amenities were lacking. We were staying to relax and swim unfortunately we checked in to discover the pool was closed due to Covid. The grab and go breakfast was frozen burritos wrapped in cling wrap with cold muffins, and bananas. There was no drink options, no milk, juice, or coffee. This is my 3rd time here and it was definitely lacking.
It was good service but mold in rooms doors not open and loud guest threw the night hours I would not choose that hotel any more I will stay with best western just not that one. Swimming pool was cold
Everything was nice but my credit card was overcharged by $30. I was told the price was $65 & signed the form, a week later my CC bill stated it was charged $95. Currently disputing charge through my CC company. Front desk personnel was very nice.
The rooms were clean, and had a microwave and fridge. Staff was friendly and was helpful in giving directions to restaurants. Check in was easy. Parking was easy to get to our room The Breakfast was adequate.
The bathroom still had a used bar of soap and hair on the walls of the bath used roll of toilet paper and the pull out couch mattress was so dirty and nasty it was just a horrible experience I will never use a best Western again
this place smelled like weed the whole weekend. Do not come here with kids.....as far as I could tell nobody tried to Identify who was doing it, but a simple walk around the outside of the property would've taken care of it.......we found the young lady with her window open in her smoke filled room....she could've been Willy Nelson's granddaughter.....
Enjoyed my stay at this facility! The staff was attentive to all my needs and were ready to provide a smile even during this crazy time of Covid-19. They took the safety and Health of all of their staff and customers serriously!
The check in went well for us. Our friends had requested a room next to us when they booked. They were sent upstairs and there is no elevator at this motel. Which aggravated them. The bed kept me awake half the night, so the mattress was just fair. The remote would not turn the TV sound up or down and would not turn the TV off. Again aggravating. The shower was good. Room seemed clean. Check out, the morning of July 12. We couldn't get the young man at the desk to acknowledge us, he was on the computer and couldn't be bothered. I asked him where the breakfast sacks were, he pointed to this rack, so I picked up our two pathedic sacks of smashed goods. However our friends arrived a few minutes later and were told the breakfasts were already put up, they said but the lady said there would be sack breakfasts, he again said they are already put up, this was all before 9am. So beware, you will have to go get you some breakfast.
The hotel accommodations were ok but I didn't have any real issue until I received my credit card bill. While I had booked a 2 night stay on business, my work required less time and the front desk allowed me to cancel the 2nd night before noon on the 2nd day. Other hotels I've stayed at would also not charge for the 2nd night booked, but not this one. I called Best Western and they say the hotel and the reservation company it was booked through (GetARoom AKA HotelValues.com) has a 24 hour no refund policy. So, while I tendered my request earlier than most hotel requires, I was still dinged for an unused night.
I loved this best western. I will definitely book this hotel again when I travel this way again. It is affordable, but still clean and in good repair. The staff welcomes you and truly cares about your experience; they even carried the crib I requested upstairs for me. I am so grateful I found this property!
We chose this location because they promote an indoor pool that is kept at 86 degrees. DON'T BELIEVE THEM. The water was cold and the pool room is FREEZING. Most pool rooms are hot and humid. This room was so cold it was uncomfortable to sit in even with clothes on and dry.
This Best Western needs some attention. The check in was difficult as the computer wouldn't accept our rewards status. We had a room with two queen beds. The bathroom needs to be renovated as they have a full length mirror on the back of the door (there is also one in the room). This mirror is directly opposite the toilet so it is quite obnoxious. The front desk personnel need customer service training as they did not acknowledge me at check out. They barely spoke and didn't make eye contact. Breakfast had the usual hot foods but there was a dirty sink in the middle of the breakfast bar and the pastries were stale. The other food needed seasoning.
The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast has a great variety. Don't stay in room #110 unless you want to hear the side door all night. Overall, the price is excellent and the room was suitable for our needs. We'll definitely be staying again when we are at the Edmond Swim Meets.
During check out people are chatting while ignoring the guests. Breakfast area is not clean and smells beside some food were expired or left over is everywhere. Room Shower doesn't work properly and room A/C can't be controlled
Great value for the money. Comfortable accomadations. Had a room big enough for all 8 of us. Staff was very helpful. Location was clean and updated. Nice part of town. Easy access to interstate without hearing the noise.
We are most satisfied with customer service in reserving and paying for this room. We rented it for our son and granddaughters after having an issue with another hotel chain (requiring either our son to have our credit card or requiring us to take a picture of our credit card and identification and sending it to them). We are grateful that we could provide this experience/stay for our family members with no hassle payment. They did need to change rooms because the bathroom light was out but you were kind enough to give them an upgrade to a suite and the granddaughters loved that the y had their own beds by utilizing the couch. Thank you!!
My son was sick when we got to town, all we wanted to do was get in the room so he can rest. We tried to check in early but the front desk lady was rude and very adamant that we have to wait until check in time before we can check in. I have never been to a hotel where I actually had to wait until the exact check in time! She finally let us check in around 2:15 (we arrived around 1). We had problems with our key card but not to the point where we had to get a new one. We were a little uneasy about the fact that you could get into the hotel without a key card from any outside door. Our room was at the very end of the hallway on the first floor, there was an exit door at the end of the hallway too. You did not need a key card to enter the hotel from that door. Very unsafe! The room was decent, the bed was comfy. No problems with the ac. The pool was freezing even though it is advertised as heated. The bottom of the pool was so rough that after only an hour of swimming, the bottoms of my sons feet were raw and bleeding. Other people that we knew that were swimming had the same issue. Breakfast was good and probably my favorite part of the stay. We dont normally stay at Best Western and I think this will be the last time!
Mattresses are sooo comfortable. Would like one at home. Staff helpful. It's an older property, but well maintained. A bit of a drive from the interstate, but easy to find. Resturants are close to the hotel
The hotel is dated but clean for the most part. This was my second stay here. The doors going from the hotel lobby to the rooms bang shut each and every time someone goes through them. It is ridiculously loud and echoed through my room making it impossible to rest, or even concentrate. Do yourself a favor and ask for a room in the middle.
The staff here were awesome! Jayla was super at check-in, Marie was smiles at breakfast and Jaylena was great upon checkout. I was able to speak with Jaylena about a couple of things that needed to be addressed in our room and she was so receptive, not attitude. Nothing major, just suggestions. If i ever get to Edmond again I will be staying at this Best Western without a doubt! GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!
Good value. Excellent breakfast selection. Comfortable bed. Clean room. Friendly & helpful staff. Convenient location. Reported faint smoking odor & staff said they would get it fixed for next night. They did.
Good things are the reasonable rates, friendly desk staff, excellent full breakfast (everything's warm & tasty), & easy access to Edmond/ Oklahoma City. Adequate thing is the room. It was clean, comfortable, spacious enough & in decent repair, albeit somewhat dated. Bad thing was the keycard access, honestly the worst I have ever used. The room door & a side hallway door routinely took multiple attempts to open. Often it was better to get a new keycard, I think I had six by the end of a 2 night stay! It wasn't just me, other guests & even staff had similar problems with other doors. This problem was frustrating and should be fixed soon.
This was a comfortable stay. Room was clean. Location was very quiet. The breakfast area is well set up. Breakfast was delicious. My husband loved the biscuits and gravy. I had the eggs an sausage. All was great.
We booked this hotel for one night along our Route 66 trip. All in all a lovely place without the frills. Exactly what we wanted and expected. A bit weird to have another guest shouting out their window as we pulled up into the car park though... Arrival was easy and staff were very nice, and the room very large and looked very clean. But as we pulled the sheets back for the bed, a very large toenail was siting looking up at us! Not the best thing to find in room bed! In all honesty, the room was spotless, the sheets looked spotless, so I can only imagine this came off the floor or something along those lines. I went and spoke to the front desk, and the staff member was genuinely horrified and offered to move us, but again the room in my opinion was fine. So we stayed put. I just wanted to let them know. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, typical breakfast offerings, and fantastic coffee. On checkout, the staff member again asked us about the toe nail and apologised again. Nice touch, as this was a different staff member from the night before. Side note..... 2 days later, I received a small refund from the cost of the room. This was unexpected and a lovely touch. I actually didn't mind paying the full rate for the room, as all in all. It was a lovely stopover.
The Best western Edmond Inn & Suites in Edmond Ok ..I give a 5 star I absolutely loved Hannah & Tabitha they were the friendliest and helped us out so much .... They do a awesome job .. Thank you again ladies....
I love this Best Western. It's before OKC coming from KS but right next door, so the location for me is perfect. Tabitha was amazing and went above and beyond to make us comfortable, and make sure my girls were taken care of. Checking in she offered to help get our things upstairs. That evening my girls wanted milk- when I called down to see if they had some, she delivered it to my room and everything! Hannah was my check out girl and was super nice and also amazing making sure everything was good for us and even talked to me for awhile before we got completely out of there. Everyone was really nice but those were the only two names I got. The only reason I took one star away is bc of the hotel itself. There's no elevator, and when you have twin toddlers that require a lot of things, and a mom with a really bad back, stairs aren't always the best option. So, that's one thing I really don't like, mostly for my mother. Just seems like there's never a room on the 1st floor when we're staying there. The other thing I wish they could improve is the lighting in the bathroom. But other than that, this location is one of the better Best Westerns I've stayed at. I'll definitely be back the next time I have to be in OKC.
We look forward to Edmond Best Western on our way to Ft. Worth the last 7 years. Rooms are always clean. Breakfast foods are replenish often, Sandre, Jackie and Jacob made our visit so pleasant. We will return next year.
The staff here are incredible!! So courteous & an absolute blessing. They were so helpful when we called ahead, every time we have talked in person, & simply walked through the lobby! We are coming back through Edmond on our way back to PA & will definitely be staying here again!!!
Very Clean and comfortable rooms 2 queens with a fold out couch and big bathroom...great rates..extremely helpful and friendly staff..and the pillows!!! They are so comfortable..we took a picture of the brand and ordered our own for home!
The staff is always very friendly and helpful when needed. The hotel is very clean and updated, rooms are great! Easy to get to - close to the interstate and main road where all of the other travel amenities are at like fuel, food, etc.
Tabitha and Hannah were beyond friendly for my check out today. They had a full length conversation with me and just made me feel really welcome. The breakfast was fantastic and felt home cooked, we're thinking about moving to Edmond, and the attitude of these young ladies definitely made Edmond more inviting.
Great staff, clean room, good amenities! Also quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast was served until 10am, which gave us more time to go down to eat. Overall, a really good place.
Rich, the night worker was a lot of help. Breakfast was great and the workers. Only problem was the AC did not get cold enough (But still was ok). We will stay there again (price was ok and location was safe)
Parking lot needs improvement. Windows leaked from a rain storm. It's a little hard to get to the parking lot. All in all, it wasn't a bad place to stay. The rooms and hallways were muggs, but the lobby was nice and cool.
+ Room clean, everything works: shower, fridge, etc. All staff friendly except for gentlemen who checked us in. - Internet inconsistent — sometimes disconnect unexpectedly mid-task, often times quite slow. Housekeeping inconsistent — 2nd day all clean, towels replaced; 3rd day nothing done; 4th day hand towels replaced. Exercise room located through the pool area, but pool area doesn't open 'til 10:00 am, so have to ask front desk to open pool area. Gentlemen understood but not too happy about opening pool at 7:00 am. Exercise room had 3 aerobic machines (treadmill, stair stepper which didn't work, bike) — no weight machine. Pool area smelled unclean; exercise room reeked of mold — not safe. No lounge area to sit and work/relax outside your room, except immediately next to front desk where guest traffic is regular. Not a bad motel; not unclean (except pool & weight rm); basic amenities. But not a good place to stay either.
When I checked in the desk clerk could not find my reservation even though I handed him my phone and let him view my reservation confirmation with confirmation number. I also called the hotel earlier in the day to inform them about my late check in time of 8:15 pm and they confirmed my reservation. He lost his temper once and had to walk away from the front desk a few times to regain his composure. He did eventually get me checked in but it took over 30 minutes. He was very apologetic but very unprofessional. Went down to pool area and found the pool very cloudy and almost looked like it had a greasy, oily look to the coloring of the water. There was no hot tub which is no big deal but the water in pool could have looked more intriguing to get into to relax after a long day of being at a swim meet. My room was very clean and had a perfect temperature already set with this time of year. The breakfast bar was very good. But just a little too much grease on the sausage links, red potato hash browns and the eggs looked very dry. I will not be staying at this hotel again.
I'm not sure where to begin there is so much to say! When I arrived I could tell the room did not look like it was cleaned very well, there was some trash that had been left behind by the previous guests, but I let it go. One of the main reasons I booked this room was because it had an indoor "heated" pool, so I thought! I was looking forward to taking a relaxing swim in the pool before getting ready for bed, and when I went to get in the pool it was freezing, I could not even get in it was so cold, I was frustrated but decided to relax in a hot bath instead, well, there was no bathtub stopper for the drain, so I had to use a washcloth to plug the drain, then when I went to put the bath mat on the floor, it was wet, felt like it was not completely dried in the laundry but yet it was folded all nice and neat laying on the side of the tub, so you can not tell me the "maid" did not notice the bath mat being wet! Next, when I pulled the sheets back to get into bed there was a huge stain and two smaller stains on the fitted bed sheet, it looked like dried grease! (I have pictures) so I went to the front desk and alerted the clerk and she said she was the only one there but gave me a clean sheet to change it! Now either that sheet had not been changed from the previous guest in that room, or the lazy maid put that stained sheet on the bed! I wish that was all, but I have more: Just as I was dozing off to sleep, I heard someone trying to get in my room,(I am a female and I was traveling alone) so I looked out the peephole (thankfully there was one) and there was an older gentleman and a small child walking away so I just thought they have the wrong room, so I laid back down, and about five minutes later, the small boy was back and was trying to get in again, I hollered "hey" and he ran off, so I got back in bed never thinking it would happen again, and about 10 minutes later a different man was trying to get in my room, I opened the door and said, "You are the second person who has tried to get in my room", he said "I'm so sorry they gave me this room key when I checked in!" So yes, I called the front desk, and she said, "I'm so sorry, are you doing an extended stay"? I yelled (because I'm pretty upset at this time) and said lady you just checked me in four hours ago! Also, I forgot to mention someone set the fire alarm off earlier in the evening! Needless to say, I will not be staying at the hotel again, and I do not suggest it.
There was almost no toilet paper, no facial tissue; there were dirty towels hanging in the closet. Overall, the room looked as thought it had not been cleaned prior to our arrival. The staff was responsive to our concerns. The breakfast was standard Best Western fare. The hotel does not have an elevator, which was somewhat inconvenient when hauling all our luggage upstairs.
I read several reviews before I booked this hotel. Some were good, some bad, and others were ok. I had a little difficulty finding the hotel using the maps app on my phone. I was surprised that the employee I spoke with when I asked for directions didn't seem to know the immediate area around the hotel. I could see the hotel from where I called but was having difficulty finding the driveway. Once there I was disappointed to fine out that the 2 story building didn't have an elevator. The room was clean & at a nice temperature when we walked in. The breakfast the next morning was tasty, at a good temperature, & nicely displayed. I would book this hotel again as it was good for the price paid.
Stopped at this hotel after a long day on the road. Hotel desk staff very helpful and pleasant. Room quiet and very clean. I would definitely stay here again. Only disappointing issue was the lack of an elevator to the second floor.
Very nice place to stay. Will be staying here on every trip to Edmond as my daughter continues her education at UCO. Great place for the price. Very quiet Great breakfast especially the scrambled eggs.
We stayed on April 24th to the 27th and I was not impressed. The front desk agent looked like she had just rolled out of bed and just came to work. Gave us a key for room. Room didnt even looked vacuumed. It didnt have a chair as picture showed on website except the desk chair. There was some kind of a sauce on the wall and spots on the wall that look like they needed to be patched but weren't.There was floor edging coming off the wall and hanging. The bed skirt looked way to big and messy. Head boards were dirty. The next morning maintenance walked right in at 8am and said no one was to be in the room. So the front desk called asking who we were. Wow!! They gave us the wrong room key. Then a few minutes after housekeeping walked right in as well. Needless to say it was awful and we will not be staying at a Best western ever again. We then came home with bites all over us and had to go to the Dr for those which was not from nature. Breakfast was good! We got a simple apology and that's it. And we had to pay for it!!
Excellent hotel at a good rate. Clean, great breakfast, friendly staff. Manager Shawna Barnes is doing a great job, she and everyone there are friendly and always ready to help ! Keep up the good work ! Thank you !
After a long day of travel the only bright spot to stopping here was the front desk staff, Crystal, who tried to accommodate us. Housekeeping of the first room was unacceptable and the second room was better except for the refrigerator which Crystal cleaned. I would suggest giving the new manager time to make necessary improvements or at least check the room carefully before unloading. The skeleton staff definitely have a good deal of work to do to get this BW up to par.
No elevator made load in a struggle. Noisy guest on 2nd floor in the middle of the night. Could not sleep due to the noise. Food at breakfast was lousy. Dried out, no flavor in the eggs, potatoes, gravy or buscuits.
Stay here fairly often when visi5ing kids in area (and beds at home are full) this hotel has a good atmosphere and staff try to help - i would recommend anyone needing to stay in this area to stay at this hotel
Upon arrival we were checked in and went to our room. The room was unclean. The bed was unmade, there were towels in the bathroom floor. This is the 2nd time at a best western that this has happened. Once in Enid, ok and then in Edmond,ok. The cleaning schedule and/or staff needs to be corrected.
Great location! Loved that it was close to my grandsons basketball team's hotel..and that so many stores, restaurants, to walk and drive to. The kids loved the breakfast and the inside pool of course. The pillows so comfy and room very roomy! Front desk and housekeeping very nice!
We stayed in the Honeymoon suite and loved how spacious it was and the jacuzzi tub was the best Breakfast was amazing ots a full breakfast not just cereal and pastries The staff was simply amazing we had the best two nights
While traveling from Mexico to Manitoba Canada, this Best Western had the best of everything. One of our main concerns is the breakfast, we enjoyed the breakfast, many chooses of food and very well presented. I would highly recommend this one.
My stay st the hotel was great! Staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. We stayed in a 2 queen bed suite with a sofa bed and I wasn't expecting it to be very big but I was proven wrong. The prices are pretty good too! The only problem I had was the mini refrigerator wasn't working but I didn't report it because we were busy on our trip but if I did report it im positive they would've changed it out or fixed it. We will be staying here again!! Thank you
This hotel is a very well-run BW. I was surprised to see an indoor pool--very unusual for this chain. The towels and sheets were very clean and the beds were comfortable. They had a full hot breakfast with a couple of different selections. They also had waffles, bagels, yogurt and cereal. Very nice breakfast. I would say this hotel is a bargain. You have to check it out.
I stayed here one night. The room was comfortable and well maintained. It could have been cleaned better in the corners and food had been left in the refrigerator. But the room was nice and the front desk staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good.
The staff at this hotel was truly great. At check-in, they were nice and accommodating, but at check-out, the manager, Kelly, was above and beyond great! We stay here a few times a year but it never has been this smooth. Nice work to you and your staff Kelly. Keep up the great work. We will be back soon.
My husband & I stayed at this hotel because of the location & we were assured by the hotel staff directly that the hotel renovations were completed which they are not & hotel is beautiful which it is not. After checking in for 8 nights we advised front desk on the first night that the TV in our room didn't work. They said there was no maintenance person available & we would have to wait until the next day. He showed up at 10 am. We then left for my daughters home and returned to hotel at 8 pm to find beds not made, bathroom not cleaned, trash not emptied & dirty towels in the bathroom. We again told the front desk who said we should have requested it. I can't imagine requesting to have my bed made (not changed, only made) & the bathroom cleaned. She finally came to clean the bathroom. This was the front desk person. The next day I met with the manager Kelly who said she hadn't read about my complaint yet. We left for the day & returned again about 8pm to find the room not cleaned again. I complained again. We left about 6am Christmas morning and returned at 7 pm to a note that said that management gave the staff the day off so again we had an unclean room. I complained again & the manager said she would have the owner call me. She never called. The next couple of days the room was cleaned by manager Kelly. We asked for compensation for the days without service. We got the bill under the door and found that we were not compensated. They decided not to do that and that all our complaints were nonsense. Kelly said if I wasn't happy that I should have gone elsewhere and I would not be welcome there again. Not a problem. We will never go there again. We did not leave as my husband had recent major back surgery & has limited mobility and we were only there to sleep. I asked other people in the dining area if they were having any problems. Most said they were having the same cleanliness, housekeeping and ignorance of management issues. Most importantly, the fire exit on the side of the building was inoperable and we reported it to the manager Kelly who said it wasn't a big thing. It was repaired by using painter's paper tape which negated hotel security. My husband is a retired firefighter (35 years on the job) and he was very concerned. He has reported this to the Fire Prevention Officer in Edmond who said they are very familiar with this hotel. I will be contacting the Better Business Bureau etc. We have been in touch with our attorney about this situation. DO NOT STAY HERE.
My parents booked a week while they visited from out of town. Beds were not made for several days until the manager finally made them. Kelly, the general manager asked my parents why they just don't go somewhere else. Being elderly, it is not easy jumping hotel to hotel. I don't think asking for beds to be made is too much to ask for. As a teacher, if I told my students to go to another school because they required me to do my job, I'd be fired. My parents were told they are not welcome back. No problem because they may not visit us again because of the impression Best Western of Edmond gave them. I am surely telling everyone I know here in Edmond, NOT to recommend Best Western on 2nd Street to anyone!
As we were packing to leave we found bed bugs on the bed. We isolated all items that had been on the floor or bed by putting them in plastic trash bags and hoped for the best. The front desk sent a representative to the room and we gave her the bug we had captured in a baggie. She apologized and promised that a manager would be in contact. This was on Monday night, it is now Saturday and we have not heard from anyone.
Had to take 2nd floor room as construction was going on 1st floor. Otherwise, nice place, convenient location near I35. About what you would expect from a nice Best Western. Free breakfast. Would stay again!
This is a great little spot for business travelers. I don't know how it would work for a vacation. I'm pretty much in late and out early. The room was comfortable and clean with a good work space. Nice
Clean, comfortable, easy access. Bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable - I'd love to have the same mattress at home! Breakfast was satisfactory. Waffles, eggs, bacon, and sausage were really good.... biscuits were doughy and almost soggy from the steam bath they were in.
I have stayed at many hotels during my 57 years and I have never been to a hotel that I felt so at home and welcome. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by the woman at the front desk to the time she called to see how my room was, We even got a hand written thank you note for staying there. I felt like the only person there. I do not know what you are doing to make your employees care to make such a lasting impression, but keep up the exceptional work
We were pleased with both Air Miles and Best Western. We had accidently picked a hotel miles of our way and Air Miles was able to get us a booking at this hotel in Edmond, OK. I did lose my initial Air Miles points. The room was large and clean. Everything worked as it should. Both the check-in staff and check-out staff were very friendly.
I had made reservations for family coming into town through booking.com. Let it be known it was a free cancellation reservation that was canceled in good time (with emails to verify) And yet magically my card was charged anyway. I called the hotel and the manager told me the booking site charged me. I called the booking site and they called the hotel for me to inform the manager Kelly that was incorrect. I assumed she would take care of the charges after that. NOPE! I called Kelly back a few days later and she preceded to tell me it was my bank that needed to release the funds. That it wasn't a real charge. (By this point I'm fuming mad because I know this isn't the issue) but okay fine...I call my bank and verify yet again that THE HOTEL DID in fact CHARGE my card! I know I'm not going to get anywhere with Miss Kelly so I called Best Western Customer Service and explained everything, they also verify it's the hotel that needs to release the funds!!! Kelly calls me back requesting my credit card information to issue the refund... of course I'm not comfortable giving her my card info but I figured I can call the bank if needed and cancel the card. The manager at Best Western in Edmond, Kelly... tells me I should see the refund possibly that day but usually in one to two days! I take a deep breath and pray that's the end of it. NOPE, here we are 5 days later and still nothing. I will be making yet another phone call trying to resolve this issue still. This is a stupid issue. Should have never happened in the first place but the fact that I'm having to work so hard to get MY money, is ridiculous. Again y'all, save yourself the frustration and anger, and DO NOT book at the Best Western in Edmond!!
everything was very clean and nice. employees were helpful and happy to help us with questions when we were looking for restaurants and shopping in the area. the lady at the breakfast was very nice and helped us alot
A nice place to spend a night but there were a couple of problems: outdoor lighting in one area was not working making that area very dark. Also, at the breakfast bar, the juice machine was not turned on until the attendant was informed. Also the hot water from the coffee machine was not hot enough for the instant oatmeal.
we had a great stay they gave us a fruit basket and a hand written card for our anniversary and a room upgrade that we didn't ask for the. service was great. Breakfast was pretty good eggs bacon and sausage were good not dried out.
I got the handicapped room with a King bed. Not sure why but no worries. The room had been painted and looked nice. It included a small microwave and refrigerator at no extra charge which was a nice surprise or I overlooked it when booking. The breakfast was fine for on site dining and the buffet items kept up with demand. The big negative I have to report is that all lights overlooking the parking area were out. IT was pretty darn dark and isolated. The front desk said maintenance was aware but it remained dark for my two nights. Were it not for that I would give them another star. Good value for the money.
When we first arrived they put us in a room that was smaller than what we paid for. Once in the room, we went to the pool, no towels and he only gave us 4 for a family of 5. Room was not very clean at all. The breakfast was disgusting, eggs were runny, bananas were brown and the juice was mostly water
We had a reservation for 2 nights. They called when we were on the road and told us they had overbooked and couldn't accommodate us. Really?? They had arranged for us to go to a different Best Western but had neglected to tell them very much information. I certainly won't return.
I hadn't stayed at many Best Western properties recently but this one was very well located for my purposes. The room was well-appointed, neat, clean and everything worked. It was going through some renovations during my visit but they didn't impact my stay. It would have been a lot more convenient if the ice machine that was a very short distance from my room would have worked but I had to go the second floor to get ice, a situation made more difficult by the fact that this property has no elevator. At least I was able to get a 1st floor room. We had a good amount of luggage to bring into the room and my wife has trouble climbing steps so the lack of an elevator would have been a deal-breaker.
I was not impressed with this hotel. I'm not terribly picky, but I do want clean linens. I'm flabbergasted that this ranked #3 in Edmond, OK! My blanket and comforter were dirty when I arrived and the bed looked crooked or slanted. I planned to sleep on the sofa bed so my friends could have the regular beds, but the mattress was covered in crumbs and a hair tie was on it, as was a red stain. If I had decided to sleep on it, there were no linens in the room for it. The front desk clerk brought us a new comforter.
Hotel under renovation and no vacuum in sight. Floors and stairwells gross. Outside property not taken care of. Sheet rock and other construction things stacked up outside front entrance. Owner claimed they vacuumed every day..not so. Everything blamed on renovation. Toilet left in the hallway right outside my room overnight. GM and staff very nice and helpful though.
The staff was not friendly or helpful. We were charged extra and not told why. The rooms were hot and muggy. After calling the customer service to report extra charges there was no support. We had 7 rooms in total and many unhappy guests. Breakfast was not fresh and there was no coffee. The rooms are also paper thin. You can hear normal conversations in the room from the hallway. The only positive thing to say is that it gave us a place to stay for one night. We checked out early and will not be back.
They are doing some remodeling here so during the day you will hear hammering and there is a little construction debris in the parking lot. But I'm excited to see what the place looks like when they are completed. We enjoy staying here.
Room smelled like urine. The tub/shower drained very slowly. I was ankle deep in water before I finished my shower. Sink was half full of water before I finished shaving. The mattress was well worn. The carpet was damp almost wet.We paid premium price for a poor quality room. I'll stick with Holiday Inn in the future .
7th year we have stayed here. My granddaughter and our adult friends enjoyed the pool. It is always so clean and neat with plenty of towels. All staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and neat with air working well. Next July we will visit again on our way to Ft Worth.
Convenient location, plenty of eating and shopping locations very close still somewhat secluded. Really enjoy this location. Very nice well kept property with an excellent staff. Close to business area.
Dog Friendly, Very well maintained, excellent staff, comfortable beds, nice shower, great location. We will definitely return to this hotel again. Excellent rates, very clean. Management was super friendly and professional.
Spent the last week in this hotel! Had the huge whirlpool suite and it was wonderful!! The tub was very large and very relaxing! The room was larger than I expected with a sitting area including couch coffee table comfy chair (the couch was also a pullout bed). The bed was like sleeping on a cloud! The free breakfast was awesome much to choose from and very delicious! Swimming pool was indoors and the several times I went I had it to myself!?? The housekeeping service was excellent and loved coming back from my day's out to a clean room that smelled great! He only couple of negatives I experienced were that I guess they were doing some kind of construction on the second floor and it was so loud it woke me up out of my sleep thinking something was coming thru my wall! And I kept getting locked out of my room and side entrance because the room cards didn't work. It was happening to more than myself as I talked to other guests who kept experiencing the same thing. Also jacuzzi at pool was shut down! And soda machine just took my money every time without ever giving me a product.Butt all in all I had a good experience
They stay was great. Loved the location. Was in town for a family event. This was not far from family. Room was great. Staff was very friendly n accommodating..... Bfkfst good. Could have been hotter. N my husband n I were there early before the crowd. Over all great would stay there again.....
Do not stay at this Hotel! We just had an unbelievable experience. We called to reserve a room weeks ahead. Checked in and were given a room. Went to drop of luggage and the room wasn't ready. Back to the front desk and they gave us a different room. Dropped off luggage and went out to a birthday party. Come back and the key doesn't work, man answered the door saying this room is occupied! The room our luggage was in that had been rented to us! Back to the front desk, they know nothing. Can't figure out what happened, can't get ahold of the person that checked us in to our room can't help us find the luggage. We went somewhere else, back to find luggage in the morning when he manager is supposed to be there and someone will know something. Guess what? Same story, the front desk clerk just got there and she knows nothing about the situation or where the bags could be. Unbelievable. I have never had an experience like this and will never do business with this chain again! It's dangerous to go to a room you think is rented to you only to have some stranger in there and your bags lost and not returned! There was zero customer service for this unresolved situation. Zero communication between employees and no one to accept what or when the error occurred of double booking an already occupied room.
For those who are looking for a hotel with clean, comfortable rooms and a decent breakfast this hotel rates well. However beyond that they neglect too many problems. The telephone in our room didn't work. When we changed rooms the new phone worked, but the front desk never answered so it wasn't possible to leave a wakeup call. For the entire three nights of our stay the business center wasn't functional so that when I needed to use the printer it was unavailable and no attempt was made to repair it. On the third day when I had some work to do on my laptop, there was a continual banging and hammering for several hours while toilets were installed in the rooms above ours, For that they gave us a tiny discount for that day. The indoor swimming pool was a nice extra, but I never saw anyone cleaning it. There is no elevator so the first night of our stay we were placed in a room on the second floor and had to drag our heavy luggage up the stairs. The next day, thanks to an efficient and helpful desk clerk named Shelby we were moved to a room on the first floor. On the other hand when we changed rooms my wife had forgotten something in the original room and when we went to look for it, the maid who was cleaning the room seemed to have an attitude problem and flippantly said she hadn't seen anything while a short search we made found it in an obvious place. All in all a very mixed experience, but I would definitely not go out of my way to stay there again.
Overnight stay enroute to Colorado for family visit. King room, first floor requested. Was quiet & clean! We had a restful sleep. Breakfast was nice with hot eggs & sausage patties if you wanted. Coffee was freshly made & good. Thank you! Probably return stay if king suite with sofa bed available to add granddaughter to travel.
When we arrived there were workmen everywhere. Tile had been torn off the back of the front desk and was lying on the floor. Almost tripped as I was approaching the desk. The hotel is in much need of this remodel but concern for guests safety in the process didn't seem to be a concern. The bright spot was excellent customer service. The entire staff went out of their way to accomodate any request. The price was very reasonable but wouldn't stay there again until after the remodel is complete.
The staff was awesome you can tell the hotel has a little bit of construction going on but never the less it was a nice visit. the rooms are big and nice and the pool was very relaxing. It was a nice stay. They need to take more pride on the outside appearance the lawn etc but it was a pretty good experience. i would definitely stay again the breakfast was amazing!!!
We checked in Saturday and there were 3 people at front desk complaining about keys not working...front desks fix was to hand out master keys?? i should have walked out then,.. our room was never secure - the card reader lock never worked while we were there...told front desk twice - her answer was to tell manager later?? Wow. We never left Room cause of this. Kept deadbolt and chain on door. The shower head was hanging and no coffee maker in room. Not a good experience unfortunately - so this BW is off the stay list
My cell phone was destroyed and I had to ship the new one to this hotel for my trip. I was very anxious to get my new phone and then perform all of the functions to get the new one up to speed. Shelby Lester at the Best Western was fantastic! She was very calm and confident that she would watch out for my phone and notify me immediately upon receipt. She hand delivered my new phone to my room! My stress went to zero. Not only that, Shelby gave me recommendations on 2 restaurants that were wonderful.
At first glance, this appeared to be very nice, especially for the price (I believe I got a senior discount). The front desk clerk was very friendly, the room appeared clean and had some very nice amenities - Keurig coffee maker, flat screen TV, mini-fridge and microwave oven. We were also looking forward to the free breakfast, that the front desk clerk advised would be available in the morning for an hour over the normal closing time, as that was a holiday. However, after some time, we noticed there were some things that made this hotel seem a bit - for lack of a better word - unfinished. The Pool appeared clean and maintained, but the sauna was "not working". The a/c in our room kept the room comfortable, but by morning, there seemed to be a definite lack of ventilation - especially in the bathroom - as a mildewy odor began to be evident. I believe this was probably due to problems that might have stemmed from the construction of the building, itself, as it appeared to be fairly new, but we noticed other maintenance issues as we continued with our stay (holes in the walls of the corridors, unfinished trim, an a/c unit that had been pulled out and left sitting by the curb at the entrance) - things that might suggest that some corners were cut in the actual construction process. Unfortunately, these are problems that one would not expect the staff to be able to do much of anything about. Finally, at breakfast, we arrived at about 9:15 - well before even the normal closing time of 10 - to find there was very little breakfast items available: no juice, no pastries or bread of any kind, no cereal, no fruit of any kind...there was a waffle maker, but no syrup or fruit...no condiments other than salt, pepper, and butter. There WAS, however, eggs and bacon - rather good for the most part - but no serving utensils...you had to use your plasticware to dip them up with. There was also coffee, and, of all things, almond milk - both vanilla and chocolate! Bottom line, I would say this was not a terrible place to stay, for a single night, for the budget-minded, but for the business traveler, or anyone who might be more discriminating, I would suggest paying the extra $20-30 dollars and going with Holiday Inn Express or La Quinta.
problem started on check - in. clerk couldn't find it. after calling the other best western to verify that it wasn't there did he finally find it. then marching down the hall then back up the other I asked , where's the elevator to be informed they don't have one. Then the next day I was asked to change to another room because I was alone and they had booked a king size bed for that night to another guest, after moving to the other room I was greeted by a dead roach on the bathroom floor. I would not recommend this best western.
This was our third stay here in three years. In 40 years I have stayed at hotels I prefer Best Western and this one is very clean, odor free. Wish the pool was open and not under repair but that was a minor thing. Hope to get a suite next time.
Stop was for an overnight stay enroute to Montana. We were extremely satisfied with our room, comfy bed, delicious full breakfast with many options, and friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again!
When we arrived at 9:30 pm hotel didn't have enough rooms for us even though it was booked way in advance, so it took us almost a hr to get that straightened out. Parking lot is super small and NOT room for a bus wish I had known this in advance as it was hell getting the coach out. Breakfast was terrible. Bed was comfortable but that's about the only thing good.
As avid travelers, we know what to expect from a hotel. Best Western Edmond was what we chose to stay while in town for an event. Upon checking in the lady behind the desk was polite and prompt. As she hands me my key I asked where were the elevators and she informed me there weren't any. Usually not an issue, but when you're carrying three suitcases and 4 days worth of hanging clothes, an elevator would have been nice. We parked our car and tried to enter the outside door at the end of the hotel only to find our keys wouldn't work. So I walked the length of the property to find out what was wrong to find no one behind the front desk. I rang the bell twice and no one showed. I then walked back to the end of the hotel, this time on the inside so I could open the door. Propped the door open and resumed the stairway luggage carry exercise program to our room. Entered the room and it was clean and modern looking. Was happy to see that. Once we settled in I noticed message light was on so I called down to see what our message was and was told that there was no message and that she didn't know how to turn it off.....click. Hmmmm ok. We opted not to have maid service the first day as we really didn't need it. Bed was comfortable and so was room. Everything was clean. Second day we left by 9am and made sure do not disturb was taken off door so we could get fresh towels and bed made. Returned that night at 11:00pm to find our room was not tended to. Called front desk to ask why and a snippy young man answered. I asked why hadn't we had maid service and he said “I don't know. I ll send someone in the morning.” I said we were checking out in the morning and he responded,”Sorry....click”. So In general that's why I call this a so so hotel. Bed was comfortable and room was clean but staff was not real helpful and at 110.00 a night I expect maid service when we want it. If I “had” to stay again I guess I would, but only if the hotels down the street were unavailable. This would not be my first choice.
They cancelled my reservations I had requested 1st floor as I was going in for back surgery. None available when I arrived. Wouldn't have been mad about 2nd floor but this bw doesn't not have elevators so therefore it was extremely hard to get around after surgery!
We want to start out this review by mentioning that the greatest asset that this hotel has is their staff. They were remarkably warm and professional, and went above and beyond the call of duty under what would turn out to be very difficult, unforeseen circumstances. Upon checking into the hotel for a six night stay, we could see on the approach from the lobby to our first floor room that the hotel had the appearance that it was in need of space renovation. This was surprising because their website advertised "Newly renovated hotel! Come see our new remodeled hot tub and swimming pool area!" While we did not go into the swimming pool area, it was visible from the hallway. The pool water looked more green(ish) than blue, and from the hallway it looked slightly cloudy. Comparing it with our pool at home, I decided that I would not use the hotel pool. That was not an inconvenience for us, as we typically haven't used hotel pools in the past. Our room looked like it had some updates. The living/sleeping area looked nicely refurnished, but the bathroom's only update appeared to be the countertop/vanity. The ceiling in the bathroom had a spot (about the size of a nickle) of dark fuzz (suspiciously like black mold) growing on it. Funny....I had read the exact same information (about the 'fuzz') in a review of this hotel before we booked. I booked it anyway, thinking that maybe it was just a disgruntled or hard to please guest who had written it. But, sadly, we noticed the same. Maybe we were both booked into the same room. Upon approaching the exit door on the side of the building (through the hallway that contained the ice machine), I noticed that the ceiling was significantly sagging around a long crack with staining around it. It appeared to have developed due to what looked like old water damage. On the second morning of our visit, we lost all power in the bathroom and entryway of the room when I plugged in a hair appliance. We attempted to reset the GFI, with no success. To our surprise, the hotel staff told us that whatever happened also affected the entire wing of rooms - and that maybe another guest had plugged in a hair appliance at the same time. The front desk was very kind and responsive to our problem. She immediately looked for tripped breakers. When she found none, she called to let us know. She also offered us the use of the bathroom in an empty guest room so that we could get ready for our early morning appointment. When we returned to the hotel several hours later, the person responsible for the repair (I believe his name was Dennis) told us that he was able to restore power to the other rooms, but not to our room. We had suspected that he might have this problem, because we had just experienced a faulty GFI outlet in our garage at home, and the only remedy was to have the GFI outlet replaced. Dennis offered to move us to a suite down the hall, so we packed up and moved to the new room. Upon entering the 'suite', we noticed a very strong odor of mildew. We didn't want to complain to the staff, as they had been so kindly responsive to our first problem, so we ran to the local Walmart and purchased a package of Damp-Rid, and a scented candle. That definitely helped. By the way...we would not recommend spending extra on a 'suite'. While the room was a little bigger with a knee wall separating the living from the sleeping area, the arrangement made the sofa seem too far from the only television. The bathroom had an oversized jacuzzi tub, which we did not use. It was an older tub with the pebbled texture on the bottom, which we assumed was what prevented the bottom from being cleaned well. The bottom of the tub looked soiled and/or stained. I don't recall whether it was the first room that we stayed in, or the suite - one of them also had a water damaged ceiling that appeared to be old, unrepaired damage. In the end, we decided to check out a day early, due to the poor quality of our stay. We had booked the hotel through Priceline, which has a no-refund policy, and we had paid for the entire stay in advance. When we attempted to check out of the hotel a day early, we were told that we had to tell Priceline that we were checking out, since that is the company that we booked through. We called Priceline right away, as we didn't want to be responsible for a room that we weren't occupying. Priceline put us on hold while they called the hotel, and to our surprise, came back and told us that the hotel was willing to refund us for the day that we did not stay, due to the difficulties that we experienced there. We had NOT asked for a refund, which just confirms what I wrote about in the first paragraph of this review....that the staff at this Best Western is remarkably kind, professional, and wants to do the right thing. Kudos to them!
overall the stay was excellent. only the over night clerk was rude to us. we were in town for a soccer tournament and we rented 9 rooms. had no issues until the night shift came on around 11pm and she was bossy and rude to all of us
Been staying at this hotel for years. It has been on a steady decline. Pool used to be nice and warm but now it's COLD and dirty. Hot tub was out of service! Room smelt musty. Uncomfortable beds and sofa sleeper.
We chose this particular Best Western hotel because it is halfway between our son's family's home and ours. Now we choose to stay here because it is a welcome retreat after a long days drive and offers a pleasant, quiet place to rest and recuperate prior to another eight hours on the road the next day. The staff are always going beyond expectations. The location, about a mile off the interstate, is convenient. We were welcomed this time with a "it has been a while since we last saw you." We like that. We will be back again in the spring.
Best Western Edmond has been our home away from home for many years now. It is in an excellent location just off of 2nd St with many eateries and shops available for all your needs. It has been recently remodeled to make it more attractive and to better suit all the guests needs. New management has come as well yet Bobby and his staff are very helpful and friendly striving to make your stay a wonderful experience. Next time in Edmond give Best Western a try and see if you don't agree that it is truly your "home away from home."
Very clean. Very friendly staff. Everyone is friendly and helpful with any concerns. It's my favorite Best Western. They care about their hotel and they want the guests to be happy. It's the best. Stay there!
I came to walk for the Epilepsy Foundation and came early so I would be ready. I had a really nice room and bead, but it was just the leftover food in the minifrig that was not cleared away when they cleaned. they also did not make the bed the next day. A little disappointing to what I am used to with BW
I really enjoyed staying at the Best Western Edmond Inn & Suites. The check-in process was smooth and the hot breakfast in the morning was great. I particularly enjoyed the waffle I made using the do-it-yourself waffle iron in the breakfast area. It was a great start to my business trip!
We were in the area to visit family. The hotel is just below adequate. The pillows were horrible, the breakfast okay but coming from the Pacific coast it ended too early. The sitting area, which we paid extra for was so uncomfortable as to be useless. Four nights was three too many. The whirlpool bathtub and nice young woman at checkin were they only real pluses.
Although this hotel was clean and had a shower with good water pressure, the beds were abysmal! They offered no support and were like trying to sleep in a hole. I had absolutely no sleep! When I discussed the issue with the desk clerk at 4:30 in the morning, she said, “Well, some of our rooms get more traffic than others and so some are better than others.” We had also requested a quiet room and ended up less than 10-15 feet from the ice and vending machines. The room still was relatively quiet, due to low occupancy. In the morning, I spoke to the manager and he said that no one had ever complained about the beds before. He also said, “ I can give you the government rate if $75. That was a discount if $14 for a terrible night of sleeplessness! The breakfast was good and opened a bit before the advertised time of 6am. As a frequent stayer at Best Western and a long time reward member, I was completely at a loss for the failure to make a concession to me of more than $14. My husband slept soundly, thanks to sleeping pills, but awoke with a sore back. My strong suggestion is to avoid this particular Best Western. It is not representative of the usual standard of comfort afforded at their establishments! At any rate, if you find yourself there, avoid room 110.
Hotel was very nice and conveniently located off the interstate. Check-in was quick and easy. SHELBY - at the front desk - was great, very friendly and personable. She came to our room when the door wouldn't lock and took care of that immediately. The pool was nice (but hot tub wasn't working) with plenty of towels. Complimentary breakfast the next morning had a huge selection (waffles, bacon, eggs, biscuits/gravy, pastries, cereals, etc.) Rooms were spacious with microwave, fridge and Keurig coffee equipment. Pets allowed, free internet. Highly recommended ... will definitely stay again and recommend to friends.
We enjoyed our stay here. Check-in was easy and the reception desk attendant was very nice. Our room was very clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.
Don't plan on getting any work done with wifi speeds of 1.75 Mbps down and 0.21 Mbps up. That's is if it is working at all. Also there is no elevator. But only 2 floors. Other than that the room was okay, didn't use the pool as it was indoors, breakfast was okay, nice to see some protein options alongside the carbs. The cappuccino machine was very yummy if you like your coffee sweet. The front desk staff were very nice and accommodating and the housekeeping staff was also great. I just got incredibly frustrated trying to get my work done here and as I was here for several weeks for business, the poor wifi was a deal breaker for me. If you don't need that, it's a perfectly fine hotel.
Room 118 bathroom was not clean and smelled like urine when I checked in at 10pm on 9/1. Staff was nice but couldn't do much because the hotel was full. Upon my request I was given cleaning solution to clean my bathroom. On 9/2 I cleaned my room and re-cleaned the bathroom with bleach cleaner. The room and bathroom still smelled of urine. My room was not discounted or comped. Staff was nice but not helpful at all. I won't stay there ever again!
Room smelled of smoke even though the entire hotel is smoke free. Microwave was dirty. Shower curtain smelled. There was mildew on he ceiling of the shower. The room had a very bad condensation issue so it felt musty. The rest of the room was clean, including linens.
Breakfast was hot and plenty of it. Staff accommodated us on the type of room we needed. Courteous staff at check in and out. Will stay there again. Only disadvantage is ability to get on and off the street to the hotel.
We had a wonderful check in with Kelly, she knew what she was doing and she was very nice to us. We've been staying here for several years when we're in town to visit family. It is clean and quiet with great beds.
This was very good stop as we were driving through OK. We got a very good senior citizen rate and were able to apply a $10 coupon from a previous Best Western stay in a different state. The room was comfortable. Breakfast was good with bacon, sausage & eggs, as well as the usual items. I had made a reservation thru the main 1-800 number but when we arrived the clerk let me know that we were booked into a second story room but there was no elevator. When I told her we had a lot of luggage, she quickly changed us to a first floor room. I thought that was great customer service. Would definitely stay here again.
We are traveling across the country and this bed was so far superior. The check in process was different. Even though I had a 20.00 travel card I was charged the full amount on my card, but got a bill at check out for the proper amount.
My family was traveling on a family trip and stayed at a hotel with uncomfortable beds and multiple other problems (at $300/night!). We decided to leave the other hotel despite still having a reservation and called to make a last-minute reservation at BW in Edmond (which was on our way home). Kelly answered the phone, was very helpful, and arranged a great room at very short notice! When we checked in, the man at the front desk was a bit dismissive, but the room was 10x better than at our other luxury hotel and was only 1/3 the price! A great experience and the first good night's sleep our family had on our week-long trip!
Very good to excellent. Breakfast particularly good. Clean room and pleasant staff. Overall facility look and maintenance are good. A little further from the Interstate than some. This review is too long.
This hotel was a wonderful stay from the staff to rooms to breakfast! The staff was very helpful and answered any questions we had. Also, the rooms were very clean despite the musty smell, but it had just rained. Also, we went to eat breakfast 30 minutes before breakfast ended and there was still all items to choose from! The pool was a little interesting to me, but I work in aquatics and operate pools on a commercial level so my expectation is always higher than most. I would stay here again and would encourage others to stay here as well.
My young son and I live in this city and booked the room for a one night staycation. We thought the staff was so sweet and friendly and would definitely choose this location again. Would also recommend to any visiting family or friends.
This was a very clean and comfortable hotel. Staff very friendly. Definitely will stay here again when in town. Breakfast was huge considering they called it "continental" nope, eggs, waffles everything. Should have used the pool but forgot my bathing suit. Next time.
Needed a motel to meet grandchildren, this one was rated good and the price was good. My son had stayed here before and liked the pool and breakfast. Room was clean, breakfast above average and pool was indoors and clean. Good stay.
The motel had been recently renovated. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bed was extremely comfortable, some type of foam, but it didn't retain heat. Breakfast was OK, bacon was good, gravy was thin. Overall good stay
Friendly Staff, comfortable room with good beds, We found the hotel to be clean and convenient to IH35. The breakfast bar was satisfactory. We had biscuits and gravy, sausage and waffles. There's a Starbucks nearby and it looked like plenty of shopping near by.
We traveled to Oklahoma for the weekend for our nieces birthday. This hotel was not far from my sister in law and was conveniently located around a lot of different businesses. Staff was friendly, hotel was nice, had an indoor pool and hot tub, spacious room,(king room with a very comfortable bed, nice couch my niece was able to sleep on, and a large desk), and they even gave us three tokens to go get a free ice cream from Freddy's (which was located right up the road).
The Hotel is located in a nice area. Not difficult to navigate around Edmond to shopping or dining. My granddaughter always likes an in-door pool so she can swim. If you(general) are not familiar with the Edmond area, using the GPS or Maps on your phone is very convenient.
The staff is professional and friendly. The room is spotlessly clean. The bed is very comfortable. Other than being very noisy, the air conditioner kept the room very comfortable. The breakfast was a great way to start the day. We will stay here again.
Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The breakfast buffet was great and the spa was enjoyable at the end of a long day. I plan to go back again and will strongly consider using BW for my lodging in the future.
Pool was green and dirty. Carpets were very dirty in hallways and dirty in rooms. Spa was cold and full of sand. Turning on the heat jets did nothing. Room was hot upon arrival. We cranked the A/C and went to dinner, room only cooled to 76 upon return. It was located in a nice area with plenty of restaurants.
The only thing I could say about the location of the hotel was going out the driveway there was no left turn and I had to go right then find a way to turn around to go the opposite direction. I realize the divider street is not the hotel's fault but it was inconvenient for me.
Clean facility, helpful staff but no elevator in the multi-level structure. Pool area was nice but hard to enjoy as it didn't open until 10 am and closed at 10 pm. Noon check out was helpful. Breakfast was hot and had several choices everyday.
Clean, spacious rooms. Keurig coffee maker in room. Excellent value. Accommodated our requests to place rooms in close proximity. Be sure to note that there is no elevator and ask for first floor if you are unable to manage stairs.
Hotel was outdated especially for the price, hallways smelled of trash or worse and room was musty or sour smelling. AC didn't work well consistently. Was either freezing cold or really hot. Breakfast choices were adequate except for lack of fresh fruit. They had some spotted bananas ad some old looking apples and oranges.
My wife and I love this hotel! We come to Edmond to visit friends and always stay here. The rooms are clean, the breakfast selection is good, and the staff are amazingly warm and friendly. Definitely a great deal and the best place to stay in Edmond!
Great staff and hotel was in great shape ,food was good ,fresh and hot ,Hotel was really clean and had a new smell to it .Beds was really comfortable.Swimming pool was also nice ,Parking lot was also safe for the vehicles
The Best Western in Lawton is very comfortable. There are great lobby areas to read or watch TV when I wake up before my daughter does. The beds are very comfortable. The full breakfast buffet is awesome!
It was quite, away from road noise. The outside appearance nice. The beds were comfortable, and the breakfast great. They had Bacon and Sausage, which not many offer 2 meats, that was very thoughtful and well planned knowing they were going to be busy for the Memorial Day weekend.
Management worked with us when Expedia/Reservations.com pretended to be this property online and promised a cheap price and it ended up being $50 more than originally thought. Management allowed us to cancel our room and re-reserve a room. They saved our family $. The breakfast was really tasty and when they ran out of eggs, they immediately brought out fresh. The beds are awesome to me. My husband, our boys and I slept very well on these comfortable beds. We enjoyed the indoor pool a great deal as we have every time we come. They were doing several renovations on the property while we were there, but that shows they're wanting to keep current. The room on the first floor did have a mildewy smell, which dissipated with A/C. I would request a second-floor room next time.
Our roon wasnt bad at all. My mother n laws room smelled a little funny though. Our room had an excellent shower and water pressure. Rooms are clean though and about 1.2 miles off I 35 and just 10 minutes from Frontier City. Has a decent swimming pool and a small hot tub. I can tell they are trying to remodel the bathrooms next to the swimming pool. The fitness room is pretty small with just a couple of treadmills and a stationary bike. The room are pretty large and clean. We stayed in a Jacuzzi room with a king bed and it was pretty comfy. It had a restroom sink and a seperatr sink just as you walk in for washing your hands after you fixed something in the microwave. It has a coffee table and a sleeper sofa fir tbe kids. Will stay at again.
The room smelled a bit mildewy but once we turned the a.c. on it mostly cleared up. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was comfortable and the pillows actually had some body! They put us into a handicapped room, so the bath was modified...the shower was a hand held which makes sense, BUT to try and attach the handheld on the upper clip is Impossible unless your 9 ft tall. The water would hit the ceiling so hand held it was. The bathrooms now do not have vents to remove the steam, so you can't see into the mirror without some work not to mention that the floor is quite slick until the room dries out. I didn't fall but only because I was holding onto the door still.
Place was a wreck. Could have been renovations, but it was in tatters. Would NOT recommend this place regardless of money, and even that was overpriced for the location. Room was musty. Shower was bad, smell was horrible, just plain awful!!
We found this property while perusing the TripAdvisor web site a few months ago. Our niece was graduating from OSU in Stillwater, but all the hotels were booked up. Fortunately we found this property in Edmond that was less than 1 hour from OSU. The bottom line is our stay was a pleasant experience. The staff was courteous and professional. The breakfast was what you would expect. The room was clean, the air conditioner cooled the room; the tv was easy to operate; and the shower was nice. One last thing. We have mobility issues, so the staff made sure we were on the first floor. It was a pleasant stay!
The exterior of the hotel was great and the lobby is being renovated, but the hallways and rooms are showing signs of wear. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was acceptable. I probably would not stay there again
Very disappointing compared to other Best Western inn and suites. First of all there was no elevator, so had to carry all bags upstairs (we are seniors), then the light in the bathroom wouldn't stay on (had to load everything we had unpacked and change rooms. Floor lamps in room in second room wouldn't work, or were very touchy to stay on. Would not recommend. Haven't been to breakfast yet. Hope it's better.
Great hotel to stay at, in the center of things right on Historic Route US 66. Breakfast set up is great as well. Only draw back is no elevator for 2nd floor guests. Didn't make use of them, but a nice looking pool and exercise room.
Love this hotel. Great indoor heated pool. Breakfast is best ever, included scrambled eggs, burritos, sausage, bacon, biscuits, gravy, good pastries, and always kept fresh and full. Outstanding staff. When had any problems handled immediately.
Dirty rooms they never clean them didn't clean my room when I called and asked for to be clean he said sure they would do it the next day I asked for at least clean towels they said they would see what they could do took him 2hours
People at the desk were wonderful. Check-In and Check-out were very smooth and with no hassles. Housekeeping does a great job on the rooms. Clean and everything worked as it should. Breakfast items were fresh and delicious.
My room was not completed. The walls had No Pictures just holes. The hotel has No elevator. The maids do not speak English The hotel carpet needed cleaned or replaced...Very dirty! The front desk was not helpful or polite. I will never go back to this place.
We stayed at Best Western Edmond Inn & Suites when my son got married. We had several rooms for family and friends, and everyone was pleased with the accommodations! The rooms were clean, the air conditioner was cold and the complimentary breakfast was delicious!! When we are back in the Edmond area, we will definitely stay at Best Western Edmond Inn & Suites!
I booked this hotel 3 months in advance of an event in Luther. Upon check in, all that remained vacant was a handicap room. No problem, we are not picky nor are we handicapped. Sure hope that someone who really needed it wasn't turned away. Pros: near our venue; front office staff exceptional Cons: worked all day, airport/plane all evening dreamed of a nice hot tub soak- Nope, no tub. Strike one. Disappointed but not a deal breaker.Shower head dripped all night long onto a plastic shower floor. There was no wet floor towel rug provided. Room is in desperate need of maintenance. Toilet seat and toilet need repair, not bolted to floor and seat came right off. That was when it would flush. AC unit fan needs repair- never stopped vibrating the entire unit. This room was near the lobby, loud & noisy with entire hotel coming by to lobby. Strike two. Breakfast - we are not picky eaters or food critics; however, it was so old and leftover that we drank tea/coffee and left. The dining area is so tiny and poorly designed that it can not handle the amount of people staying there. Strike three. We were scheduled to stay two nights; however, we just had to leave and checked out first thing the next morning. We found occupancy at another hotel and took a long much needed nap is peace and quiet.
I am a service guy who travels frequently. TO me, Internet, a Bathtub, and a good bed is everything I need. IF any one of these is bad, the hotel doesn't get 5 stars. This hotel did everything I needed. I have been here before and both times, everything was great. I will be back.
I made a reservation here during a road trip for pleasure. Upon arrival, my reservation was for the wrong date. Shelby was able to get me in a room for VERY near my reservation rate. Although the lobby area is under renovation, things were clean and organized. I also loved the fact that coffee and lattes were available at all times.
due to not being able to eat,my wife did. We were both impressed at the way items were displayed. My wife had praise for quality of food. Room was clean, comfortable. NO noise problems. Would stay again
A nice but tired motel. Our single-king room was clean, with a comfortable bed and was very large with a sofa and upholstered chair. The staff were very friendly plus they offered a good breakfast. Unfortunately no elevator and there were a few minor maintenance issues.
It was a great place to stay. Wonderful service from the staff. Comfortable and clean rooms. They are very accommodating to your personal needs. We will stay at this hotel again when we are in Edmind.
This is a wonderful hotel. Comfy beds, good variety of hot and cold items. Clean room, welcoming staff, I enjoy the pool, good place to walk pups. Close to lots of restaurants of all varieties and easy on/off either I44 or I35. Great stay for us.
As we entered the hotel, I thought about all the things a hotel should have. Free breakfast in AM. Room with couch and chair extra. Slip free tub. Pool indoor with spa. TV with great guide of channels. Free newspaper in AM. Close to great eating. Provided everything that folks need without going overboard. Good location for us so may make it our regular....
Called for reservations for an fast run to Edmond, OK on a Sunday, made reservation, had to stop and repair some else's vehicle, ran later than ETA given and desk clerk was concerned when we did arrive, if we were ok and if our trip was safe (would have thought we were family). Price was right, room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was well presented and plentiful.
We have been staying at the Best Western In Edmond for over six years. hey have always provided us with great service and quality. It has become our home away from home. While our son was in college we used to come over and stay much more than we do now. When we come to Edmond , there in no question as to where to stay it will always be the Best Western Edmond for their cleanliness, great service and overall value for the money.
We were travelling Route 66 and one night landed us in Edmond, OK. I knew there was a BW here, but it proved very hard to find. We asked several people for directions and they were very helpful, but it took us over an hour to arrive at the hotel - luckily they had a vacancy. The hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful with restaurant directions Complimentary breakfast in the morning was the usual BW fayre.
Not too far off the interstate you can find a quiet, place to rest after a long day of driving. The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was plentiful with a nice selection of choices for every appetite. Closing at 9:00, I would only wish it were available a bit later. We will certainly stay there again.
Clean with extra large rooms. Very nice and I would always try to find one and stay at it. the cost was very affordable and it is a larger room than an average hotel room. I think that my friends will now try to stay as they do their traveling, Very cost effective for an average traveler.
This was a great place. easy parking. easy check in and out. pretty good breakfast food. The bed was comfortable. the free wifi was great. we got a free upgrade to a suite with a Jacuzzi bathtub! We always stay at Best Western.
My stay was excellent, staff was very friendly , clean rooms, great value for room. The only complaint was the breakfast, if that is something you are using to consider your stay, you better go elsewhere.
We booked on line using expedia. I was attracted to the prices, hotel amenities, and location. Overall the room is big with flat screen tv, microwave, refrigerator, and kurig coffee maker. The room was very clean, my only complaint was the bed was too soft for my liking. The bathroom has granite counters, a little small. This is a two story hotel, it does not have an elevator, when I made the reservation I requested a room on the ground floor. It is a non smoking hotel. Breakfast was great, there was scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, burritos, waffles, fruit, muffins, apple cheery turnovers. Bisquit and gravy, orange and apple juice, cereal, french vanilla and chocolate cappuccino. It has indoor pool and hot tub. I would definitely stay again in the future
The beds were comfortable, bedding was soft, and lots of pillows. Room and bathroom was clean. Plenty of towels. It was quiet, the walls were insulated properly, could not hear chatter in hallwall or next door. Check out time was noon and was not rushed out. Check in was quick and all staff were very courteous and friendly.
Older hotel but the rooms have been updated, kuereg in the room was great. Very close to shopping and restaurants. It was quiet with friendly staff. It was not directly on the freeway access but very close and easy to find. No elevator. The curtains did not close all the way only the sheers. This was uncomfortable for a woman alone on the first floor. The bed was great.
First the good... Staff was very, very friendly at check-in/breakfast/check-out (in keeping with the rest of Edmond!). The facilities were well-kept, or perhaps updated, and location was fantastic for our needs. The room itself was very clean and comfortable; we slept well and enjoyed the limited time we spent in the room. Breakfast was a decent selection with plenty of seating area. The not-as-good... Bathroom could use a complete overhaul. Though it was generally clean and had a nice granite countertop, the bath/shower and grout were all well past their prime. Moreover, the bathroom had no ventilation so everything ended up covered in a layer of condensation when showering (great water pressure and plenty of heat!). Not bad enough to keep us from coming back, but definitely needs work.
Hotel gave me an upgrade so that I didn't have to change rooms during my stay. That was very thoughtful and appreciated. Room was spacious, much too big for one person! I like having a coffee machine in the room. Nice touch. Didn't use the facilities ie swimming pool, etc. I would have liked different items served for breakfast. Eating the same fare every day for five days, well, it got a bit boring. The hotel is rather isolated if you don't have a car even though it is on a main road. Nothing for meals within a 3-km radius.
Only gave 2 circles would have been 3. The hotel looked clean the front desk ladies were very nice. In the morning got up had breakfast which had a many items to choose from but none tasted very good but you can get a dry muffin and some juice for free. All of that would be fine and I would have given 3 maybe 3.5 but when I went back to my room and open the curtains two roaches went running across them. We were on a week long trip and stay at several hotels this is the only hotel that we stayed at that I saw roaches in.
Not a bad place to stay unless you've got lots of luggage and your room is on the second floor. THIS PLACE HAS NO ELEVATORS! We encountered a guest who had booked a room for a week. He was put on the second floor, and no one told him there were no elevators. He checked out after only one night.
I've stayed in two different places over the past few years in Edmond - the other being very near this property - and of the two I did not prefer the Best Western. The staff here did their jobs well, and the room was very adequate and comfortable. I only had one issue with staff: On my way to a family member's funeral (the reason for the trip), I emptied out the tissue box in my room since I knew I'd need it, and asked a housekeeping person working nearby to replace it when convenient, giving my room number. The staff member left the tissues, empty box and full box on the bed in the room. It may simply have been that she was hurrying, or that she got interrupted, but the impression it gave was that I had put her out and she was making it known. Could all be just me. But there's that. Although attempts were definitely made to make the breakfast bar area upscale and cool looking, the tables were crammed in so tightly that nobody could get in or out of their seat without inconveniencing a neighbour at peak times. Given that a bistro height (and quite large) table was provided near a TV screen in the area, I felt that they would have done better to take that out and use more normal seating for the breakfast crowd. Generally, the place is clean, attractive and provides all the basics, but I would say I have had better hotel experiences in this price range elsewhere.
We have stayed at this hotel before when traveling to Oklahoma City. Last trip we tried an expensive hotel in Oklahoma City, and the entire stay I was wishing I had booked at this Best Western in Edmond, Oklahoma. This hotel has great service, and excellent breakfast and the rooms are very nice. I will continue to use this hotel for my Oklahoma trips. The room was nice, the beds were comfortable, and the price was great compared to other hotels I looked at and have stayed at. Keep up the great job!
There's a lot if things that we expect out of a hotel and my husband is very picky and this place has exceeded his expectations......it was so nice we stayed another night.....five stars isn't enough we would give it ten if we could!!!!
A very nice place with nearby shopping and restaurants to choose from. The room was very clean and tidy. We did have trouble with our room key cards not working properly but the staff was very helpful in fixing this issue for us. The maid did knock on the door around 8:30 and not anywhere near ready to leave. Just glad we were awake already.
Great place to stay for business or family vacation! Indoor pool, fantastic rooms, great breakfast, very courteous staff. Best Western staff members were all very nice and helpful but I have to give an extra shout out to Staff member named Heaven.. She went above and beyond to take care of our special booking requests, Thank You Heaven and Best Western!
Nice hotel with a good breakfast. The grandsons loved the pool! The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Would be glad to stay here again. Very friendly front desk and the price was very good.
I was in Edmond for a two day, two part medical procedure for my wife. I reserved a suite with two queen beds and a Jacuzzi tub. On arrival we were told that the air conditioning was leaking water in the room we had been assigned to. We were told that we could still take the room, with fans blowing on the carpet to dry it out or we could take a room just like it without the Jacuzzi tub. We opted for the latter. We were not offered any type of a refund or compensation for the room move. I had reserved a suite so that while my wife was recovering from the first procedure on the first day, I would be able to watch TV or read in a separate area and she could sleep. Upon arrival in the room we found that the TV was in the sleeping area and not in the sitting area. There was wall mounts on the wall for a TV in the sitting area, but no TV. Kind of a disappointment, I had to swivel the TV sharply and watch from a distance so that my wife could rest. She was also cold and needed another blanket. The room had a sleeper couch so should have had at least another blanket. We could not find one until we pulled the sleeper out and there it was, used, along with the sheets. it had not been stripped from the last use, no telling how long that had been. We called the desk and two more blankets were brought up, along with more pillows. This was the worst of our stay. The hotel was quiet and clean. The pool and hot tub area was well maintained and sitting in the hot tub was very relaxing and helped me sleep both nights I was there. Breakfast was good, watery scrambled "eggs", bacon, sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, waffles, a variety of hot and cold cereal, OJ, apple juice, coffee and milk. There were also a few pastries. It was one of the better hot breakfasts that I have had, barring the watery "eggs". Check out was quick and painless but I was amused when the person in front of me was told to make sure he went to Tripadvisor and left a review after he said how good the stay was. When I checked out and told them of my problem with the sleeper sofa, I wasn't given the "got to Tripadvisor" speech. Unfortunately, I usually do anyway. All in all it was a pretty good stay. Clean, quiet, comfortable.
When my husband is with me, he has to have a handicapped room. The staff was very helpful when getting everything unloaded and into the room on the only trip he was with me on. Any time something wasn't working correctly it was immediately addressed. Minor things like the cable thing wasn't working just like ours at home. (That is my husbands area. I usually don't watch TV) The pool was nice and I was able to bring the grandchildren over to swim. Everyone had a good time. Breakfast was very nice. I didn't know they had 'to go' breakfast bags till the 3rd time I stayed there. I had to be at the hospital early and had no time to eat. The front desk handed me a brown bag breakfast. That was nice. The last time I was there, I needed to stay an extra night. The room I was in was already booked for that night. They gave me an even nicer room when I made it back to the hotel that night. I know how exhausted I was. Apparently it showed on me too! I appreciated the super service.
I've stayed here on two separate occasions. Good location with easy highway access. Lots of restaurants/stores within a short driving distance. Rooms are comfortable and a good size. My only recommendation to the facility would be to upgrade the bathrooms it at least check the quality of repairs. Our last room had what appeared to be particle board screwed to the outside of the tub. It's a little off putting to see shoddy repairs.
Room was excellent!! Jacuzzi tub was an unexpected surprise. Friendly staff. Easy access to I-35 and numerous restaurants. We will book it again next time we are in the area. The only negative was the back security door did not lock; anyone could enter the building.
This Hotel is located close to I35 and the lazy E Arena. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are very clean. I always rest good here.It is also close to the OU Medical in Edmond. Thgere are several good restaurants in the area.
The hotel was much better than the other hotels we stayed at during a short road trip. However, there was no elevator and the kind of room we booked was only available on the second floor. The breakfast was pretty routine, but the hot drinks available were much better than your standard hotel fare. The location was relatively close to the highway. Despite the stairs issue, I'd stay here again for the great price, breakfast drinks, and the convenience.
This BW is relatively new, well-maintained and clean. The rooms are quiet, and it is conveniently located on the main street . I enjoyed the continental breakfast, which included fruits and oatmeal. Many guests were enjoying the meats and eggs. It also has a pool and hot tub, which I did not use.
Booked two rooms, one room was handicap accessible. There were a few problems in the bathroom. The toilet stopped up once with very little paper, the hotel was very prompt to fix. However, every time you got up the toilet sounded as if it was going to come off the floor. The shower head only had one setting which was a hard vibrating stream; you could not change. Other than that it was very enjoyable. The employees, all of them were very friendly and helpful. The other room was very nice and no problems there. The breakfast was good and served warm biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, waffles, eggs, pastries, cereal, coffee, juice and milk. Would stay again. Price is excellent
Our stay at BW was pleasant. The beds were comfortable and we enjoyed having the breakfast provided. There was always plenty to eat. The staff was friendly and courteous and the hotel was quiet which made for good sleeping.
Location was convenient to my conference at UCO, and price seemed reasonable. The hotel was quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast was decent, with plenty of choices (eggs, bacon, sausage, breakfast burritos, waffles, hot & cold cereals, several breakfast breads to choose from, etc. The guest laundry was on the second floor (steps are difficult for me, and there is no elevator) - a friend/colleague who was also staying for the same conference did her laundry, but the dryer was out of order. The housekeeper, however, dried the laundry for her in the hotel laundry, and even folded it for her - above and beyond the call of duty.
Booked a one night stay here based on location and the good reviews. This hotel is a couple of blocks from the interstate where all the other hotels are bunched together. Well maintained, well taken care of, friendly staff. Comfortable room. Very nice breakfast. Indoor pool a bit disappointing, but passable.
I really enjoyed my stay at Best Western. The room was cool on arrival which meant I didn't have to wait for the air conditioning to do its job. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and there were plenty of towels and supplies. It couldn't have been much better than that!
This was an average hotel. The room did not have any other mirror than the bathroom. There were stains on towels and bedding. There is no elevator in this hotel so if someone has issues with stairs, specification for 1st floor room is essential. None of the security doors to outside were locked for key only entry, anyone can enter hotel from any door.
Staff made our stay nice. The property has strange access and tight parking for big trucks. No elevator so stay on ground floor if you need that. Breakfast buffet was good with waffles, eggs, cereal, rolls, gravy, including blueberries to add to the waffles. Could have used more tea options
Great AC in my room. Second floor, no elevator. Parking is tight. Hotel is fine for the value. Felt safe = big plus. I'd stay here again if I could get ground floor. (Sales job/lots of work to lug up steep stairs).
Friendly staff during both check in and check out. Quiet and peaceful leading to a great nights sleep. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. Only one minor problem and it involved a door that wouldn't lock. The staff got right on it and the door lock was repaired to my satisfaction.
The Best Western Edmond, OK was a pleasant and enjoyable property. One of the finest BW we have used in recent travels. The high speed internet was exactly that! Very good up and down speed, making online work there trouble free. Great breakfast selection, well presented. The staff knowledgeable and very helpful in accommodating our needs during the stay. Definitely marked on our "to be repeated" list.
I would compare this to most Motel 6 or Super 8 Motels. It is very old, in desperate need of updates. The outlet for the refrigerator/microwave didn't have an outlet cover on it. The carpet is ancient. The sheets were scratchy. The bedspread and curtains look like they're from the 70s. Several parking spaces in front are taken up by several POD units so park in back and take your chances! We were told to use the back door but one of the back doors is permanently locked so we had to keep looking for another door. We checked the "dining" tab on their web site and found that an Olive Garden was supposedly 3 miles away. WRONG! We asked when we checked in where it was located and were told that there isn't an Olive Garden anywhere nearby and that it would be at least 20-25 min. to the nearest one. We were then told On the Border was 5 minutes away. It took at least 15 min to get to On the Border! We might as well have gone to Olive Garden! I also asked to have my room charges charged to my card rather thana hold being placed and then charges run the following morning. I do this at every hotel I stay at and it's never been a problem. The girl who checked us in acted like this was an impossible feat. Breakfast was OK, nothing great, nothing horrible. Similar to most hotel breakfasts. When it was time to check out, we couldn't find a clerk at 7 am. Another guest was already waiting and had rung the bell to no avail. We had to ask the breakfast attendant if anyone was working the front desk. It took her at least 10-15 min to find "Jay" who was, apparently, in the bathroom! For the condition of this hotel and the service they provide, they should be charging a lot less per night! They also need to update their "dining" section of their web site! Very deceptive!
We stay here a couple times a week just to get away and go swimming. Their pool and hot tub are great all year-round. The girls at the front desk are always very helpful. The location is great as it is less than a mile away from I-35 and just down the street from the heart of Edmond.
I thought this hotel had a bad odor ~ or perhaps it was just our room. The hotel seems slightly dated but for our needs we didn't really care. Large room was a bonus! Frig in room bonus too! We were there for a wedding and this place was convenient to I-35 and the places we needed to get to. I think the best thing about this place was the breakfast ~ the person in charge of that does a fabulous job.
We stayed at this property because we try to frequent Best Westerns while on vacation. While visiting family for 3 nights, this location was conveniently located off I-35 and within easy driving to our family's residence. It afforded some comfortable 'space' away from the family events. The bed was too soft for me, but comfortable for my wife. This older property could use some improvements (like a working exhaust fan in the bathroom). It was a good value for the price, however.
Expedia booking lists hotel charging a $25 pet DEPOSIT. I called in inquire how that works. Clerk told me it is only $20. But not a deposit but rather a FEE. However their official website states NO PETS. CANNOT TRUST ANYONE!
A excellent property, well maintained, quiet, whit great sleep quality. Very good location, near many things to do in Edmond. Family place with good reputation. Two things to consider: If you don't smoke, and hate it, do not stay next to back doors. The smoke gets in and smells very bad. The second, and I don't know why, they doesn't put enough amenities & towels in my room, so every day I have less towels. Simple breakfast but well served. Coffee, waffle and juice machines worked very well and the have a lot of fruit. Nice to be here.
Location and access is a little confusing. Nice clean room, and a very good breakfast. Nice Pool area. Lots of people outside on benches smoking... I would stay here again if I was in the area. For being full during our stay, They did very well...
I visited Edmond OK to see my grandson in a state wide tennis tournament. Stayed at the Best Western and found it to be a wonderful and pleasant experience. Rates are reasonable, very clean, large room with king bed, couch, desk, free Wi-Fi and the staff was very helpful. I plan to stay again when visiting in Edmond. The free breakfast was fantastic!!
Arrived late to the hotel and was presented a key to the room with a great smile. Inside the room it was huge! The bathtub was super big along with the two beds and couch. I'm glad I found this room for under 82 dollars. The breakfast was only until 9, therefore I had to wake up super early to get the fresh food. Good meal + relaxing stay! I recommend this place while in Edmond!
I was very impressed with the quality of the grounds and the facility. The room was clean & had a pleasant smell. No complaints from this traveler. Facility was close to my business needs and gave me a place to download in the evening. Located near several restaurants, so good choice for overnight or couple-night's stay.
We have been coming to the Best Western in Edmond for over six years. We started staying there when our son was a freshman at Herbert W Armstrong College. He graduated a couple of years ago. We were looking for an establishment that would suit our needs at an affordable price. Best Western fit the bill to a tee. Itt has become "our home away from home" The rooms are clean and spacious, We enjoy the couch, desk and chairs for our comfort and for hosting people to visit and chat with us. The refrigerator is nice for us to store drinks and food in for snacks or light meals. We like the breakfast especially when turkey products are offered for a healthy alternative to pork products. The staff are fabulous. They tend to all our needs This is a family oriented establishment that is quiet, friendly and overall best value for the price.
I review places we stay regularly. Comments I read about this hotel are correct. Pros: nice super large, updated rooms. Comfortable beds, nice amenities. Pool and hot tub as well as a good breakfast. Friendly housekeeping staff, which is unusual. Usually housekeeping doesn't speak. Cons: I know it would be costly, but they really need to put in an elevator. It's very inconvenient to take luggage to the second floor, particularly if you have a disability or handicap. The other problem was when we checked in, we checked in early but were not told our room was not going to be ready yet. We had to stand and wait for housekeeping to clean our room. A large group of soccer teams checked in that day and it was very busy. We were told we could use the hot tub after hours, but they shut it down because of the noise level, so that was disappointing. However we got to use it the next morning, so that made up for it. All in all a good sleep and a good stay.
I was traveling with my children's high school band. I had a king size room to myself. It was clean, quiet and HUGE! I had a king sized bed, sofa, winged back chair, sofa table, desk & chair, night stand, dresser, fridge, microwave, Kerig, and a bench. All in this room and didn't even feel crowded. Wow! I prefer regular bed pillows compared to the square pillows for my bed, but the bed was very comfy! Soft, but not too soft! There was only one thing that concerned me. The American Flag hanging outside on the flag pole in front of the hotel. It needs to be retired properly. It has been ripped to shreads. Please take it down and replace it with one that is made for outdoors. That would show respect and it is one of the first things you see as you drive in, so remember first impressions are important.
This hotel is very easy to get to and is close to everything. The room was very comfortable and had lots of space. My room had a king bed with a desk, couch and coffee table. Many other amenities, too. The breakfast was also very good. Eggs, breakfast burritos, bacon and sausage, waffles, biscuits and gravy, coffee, juice etc. I always stay here when I am in this area. Head a few miles east and see more of historic Route 66.
you have the best hotels I stay and my brothers stay at the hotels too I tell everyone how good they are the rooms are very clean and lots of room to move around in the maid are very good to extra towels with a smile always say good morning sir the staff all of them are great
We stayed four nights and then needed to stay in the area two more nights. We liked the motel so much we asked if they had room for us in the same room for two more nights and they did. The motel is an older motel, but it is up to date. The motel is very clean. We observed the housekeeping staff cleaning as we walked by and they we very meticulous about cleaning. Our own room was kept very clean. The breakfast is the same every day, great. Good breakfast and staff keeps it clean. Items on the breakfast include breakfast burritos, sausage, bacon, eggs, biscuits, gravy, waffles, cereals, oatmeal, cream of wheat, sweet rolls, muffins, yogurt, fresh fruit, juice, coffee, etc. Cookies in the evening while they last. We did not use the indoor pool, but it did look inviting. I believe that they also had a workout room. We used the motel as a place to sleep and eat breakfast and did not use other amenities. In the room we had a refrigerator and microwave along with coffee. Good hot water in the shower. The room had a sink in the bathroom and another outside the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable. We never heard noise from the hall or another room even on the weekend when the motel was full. Check in and check out went very well. All staff were nice and friendly. We would stay there again.
Very convenient, clean, great location. Tyttfbhdvdtgddgvfvbbjobifudjfurfufufdhjoonldysykgkchxydigovpbdgihobovideihobkvjxystwgdcuvkbnpogudyckgivucyvibohobiffgiddivivigfruyhxchzyzy just kboblfysucjvjcxuvi
I usually use this Motel when traveling from Houston to Kansas City--about half way. Friendly front desk and well thought out floor plan. Good close free parking. Close to Freeway and eating out if desired. Breakfast was well prepared, hot and with lots of protein not just a bunch of cheap carbs.
The staff at this BW are outstanding! Great breakfast staff! They had a huge crowd and kept up with everything--good job! This seems to be an older property, but the carpeting and furnishings looked new and everything was spotless. We enjoyed the pool area and jacuzzi. The bedding was comfortable, and the room was quiet enough even with the crowd. Thanks for a great stay!
Well all I can say the hotel is kinda isolated but love the area not to and the kids love the whirlpool tub didn't asking them to take baths the just kept jumping in cleanest my kids have ever been . Breakfast wasn't anything to special but love the cappuccino machine saved me a trip to Starbucks.
A great stay for the money! We highly recommend the Best Western hotel of Edmond, OK. We have already made reservations for next year. A great location for shopping and lots of restaurants. Very friendly staff, fruit, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate available at all times.
Totally enjoyed the stay. Bed was extremely comfortable and the entire hotel was very clean and well decorated. Staff was professional and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel for your next visit to Edmond - OKC area.
Great hotel on the exterior, staff appear caring UNTIL you have to complain. The smoking was out of this world. We checked in and immediately complained. Nothing was done. We weren't offered another room or anything and they had plenty of open rooms. The staff said they've had multiple complaints about people smoking, specifically the room next to ours, but didn't do anything. Our room had leaking water in the bathroom. The pool was great, hot tub fine and the breakfast was good. The staff didn't try to resolve our multiple complaints or make things better for us. Worst night of sleep for myself and 3 small children-we didn't move hotels because we were traveling with our dog and there was no other hotel that had room. Lesson learned, will not return and would not recommend.
The room we were given at check in was not made up, apparently they were replacing carpets (despite our prepaid reservation) We ere told there was not another room and we'd have to wait for them to put the room together. About 5 HOURS later we were finally allowed into our room. Hot tub wasn't! Breakfast they ran out of food saying they didn't realize there would be so many guests. Isn't that why people make RESERVATIONS?
Picked because of TripAdvisor reviews. It is very good. clean, quiet and specious rooms, Good indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast area clean and bright. Average breakfast. Friendly staff. Only downfall is the location is not within walking distance of good restaurant and exit to street only goes one way.
We stay overnights here whenever traveling between Dallas and KC. It's quick access to I-35, close enough to shopping and dining. Small, quiet hotel, personable staff, standard breakfast fare, comfy beds, quiet heat/air system!
Great stay with a quality staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good quality room at an affordable price! The young lady at the front desk was really helpful and friendly, as well as the rest of the staff I came across.
I cannot begin to even tell you all how much of a nightmare this hotel stay was! First off some of our other relatives that stayed the night before had a bed bug problem...the hotel moved them to a different room. The night that we stayed at the hotel we woke up in the morning to find a bed bug crawling on our sheets...my wife jumped out of bed with our 2 year old daughter and I then jumped up too. I then started inspecting the sheets and found at least 5 bed bugs!!!!! We looked up some images of bed bugs on our phones, and these were definitely bed bugs! We then went into quarantine mode and started inspecting all our clothes and then throwing them into trash bags after a clean inspection so we could wash them in the washer as soon as we got home. We then checked our daughter for bite marks, but didn't find any on her...however on me I found 3 on my arm and 2 on my neck, and on my wife...oh boy!...we found over 20 bite marks on her that swelled up even more the next day when we got home. The kicker in all of this is how the hotel "managed" the issue. When I first went down to the front desk to complain, the probably one year out of high school front desk girl, copped an attitude with me! Then she had enough stupidity and lack of any customer service skills to say, "Well these things do happen all the time at other hotels as well." I couldn't believe I was hearing this...so I asked to speak to a manager. The manager came out and she said, maybe someone brought them in with their luggage...completely nobody there was going to take any ownership at all for this very disgusting problem. I was so infuriated with anger that I went back up to our room, and it took maybe a minute and I found another nasty bed bug crawling on the sheets. I scooped the bed bug in a plastic cup, brought it down to the front desk and said, "Here, you believe me now?" I then told them I did not want to be charged anything for the room, and that I needed a sincere apology. We did get our room comped, but got a half-hearted apology from the manager. Our relatives who had the same issue the night before got their room comped as well. I did contact the Oklahoma State Health Department, and hopefully the next time we're in Edmond, OK...we will see either a vacant lot, or another hotel name...because there is nothing best, about that Best Western. Maybe they should change their name to B&B for Bed Bugs, because that hotel stay was a complete nightmare!!!
We stayed there for the weekend because of a family wedding. Our room and another family's room had bed bugs!!! They moved us to another room and they reimbursed us for one of the nights we stayed there! Praying we didn't take any of the little nasty's with us!!! Yuck!
Great location, it was perfect for my quick trip to Edmond. Check in was quick and easy, Room was very clean, the only disappointing thing was breakfast. Personally, they should have the waffles available everyday.
My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights while visiting family over the Thanksgiving Weekend. The room was large enough for our purposes; the bed was very comfortable: breakfast was adequate; service was exceptionally good. The only problem was the lack of hot water for brief periods of time that was due to some system malfunction that could not be adequately repaired during our stay. At check-out, we were given a small discount to help compensate for our inconvenience. We will stay at the Best Western Edmond Inn & Suites again the next time that we visit the area.
very clean. great breakfast. One of the entry doors did not lock at night for security, we could just walk in without using a key card, but it coild have been temporarily disabled for workers because there were new rolls of carpet in the hallway ready to be installed.
Bathroom had mold in the shower. Bathroom floor was not mopped. Coffee maker in room did not work. Room key did not work twice. Very low water pressure. I would not recommend anyone stay at this hotel!
Hotel was clean and comfortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was above average and lasted long enough to sleep in and still get to eat. Overall it was a very nice stay. My only complaint was a barking dog next to us that the front desk immediately called the occupants.
This is the second time we stayed here in the past year. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast got us going. The bed was a little too soft. The location was convenient to the highway and downtown Edmond, Oklahoma. We liked the side entrance half way down the hall.
Easy check in and out. Nicely appointed room w/ flat screen TV, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig coffee maker. Tasteful decor, clean, fairly comfortable bed( I like mine softer), great breakfast. My only complaint is employees smoking outside front door of this non-smoking hotel.
I usually stay at more high end hotels but wanted something cheaper for this trip. I was very pleased with this location. The room provided everything I needed and the pool and hot tub were in working order and clean. The staff at the desk on check in could tell I was tired from a long drive and was very helpful and accommodating. Will stay here again.
Just for the friendly, cheerful and helpful front desk person Dawn I would visit this Best Western again and not even think abut using any other facility in the Edmond area!!!! Recommended to all my friends
The hotel is older that has been slightly updated. There was no elevator to the 2nd floor. There was a musty smell in the hallways. The room was very average as well as the bed. They did have free Wifi that worked good and the staff was friendly. The hotel breakfast was average at best.
We will never stay at this Best Western again!! It's really sad when one travel's the Old Route 66 - of days when people treated people with honesty, dignity, and respected there "things". And then to pull off the old route for the night, stop at a Best Western because they are promoters of Route 66, only to have valuables gone the next day after taking a relaxing hot tub and swim the night before, It sure hits home that those days are "gone." This place has no surveillance system, it is "broken". The new manager seemed to think that a customer's loss was funny. Oh we saw you laughing back there in your office. We know the "what and the who" of this but can't prove it. We are all very seasoned traveler's too. So if you decide to stay here anyway, take all valuable's and money with you no matter where or what you are doing when you leave your room, for any reason.
Room was burglarized under suspicious circumstances - surveillance cameras have been broken for 2-1/2 months (staff knew this). Customer service deplorable - they laughed about event, even after the police came to take a report. We suffered a substantial financial loss. We will NEVER stay at this hotel again. And in the future will travel with a personal surveillance system. We know (and they know) they got away with it. Perhaps that is why they found it so humorous. So sad a few greedy opportunists had to take advantage of us like this. Be careful and lock up your valuables, even if going to the pool.
A great place to rest a few days. It has it all, a pool, weights, room internet and a great hot breakfast.. It is easy to get to with many eating places along with a shopping center close by. I t is very close to I-35.
Even though I made a reservation two months in advance, I was called two week prior and told they were overbooked and could not accommodate my requested room. They provided another room with a rollaway bed. At least we got a room for the night. In addition, they did not indicate they had no elevator in hotel. I have two bad knees and it was extremely difficult and painful to lug all my belongings up and down the stairs.
We stayed here one night, found everything to be A+ from moment we checked in. We received a preferred room, including upgrade, and were very comfortable. Our room faced east, not that it matters, and it was going to be 100 the next day, so we kept the curtains closed...in the am, I took a peek outside and had to just watch a beautiful sunrise, become a magnificent day. The hotel is located in an adjacent small town, (Edmonds) and getting in to the city was easy and convenient. We had a WONDERFUL Italian dinner at Othello's just about 2 miles away on Main St.
Nice clean, big room with a very comfortable bed! Keurig in the room. Nice sitting area. Delicious breakfast included! Only issue for some might be that there are no elevators so stick to the first floor is you have mobility issues.
Easy check in with warm cookies, clean room, comfy bed. Although we were late to breakfast, the staff stopped cleaning up and showed us everything still available and were VERY kind and friendly. Would book there again.
