Best Western Plus Country Inn & Suites

Let's not be all negative so plus points: Pillows are great Water pressure and hot water the best. Negatives: Beds are darn awful. Too old and soft and your back will be in knots by morning. Bathroom the towel rail was hanging off the wall. Hanging rack for clothes, broken so could not use. Guests whistling up and down the hallways but hopefully that's not standard Breakfast was hot and very basic but did the job. Annoyingly guests watching videos on their phones out loud.. not an issue if only one but when it's a competition of 3 and the TV its Annoying. The overall hotel experience was poor. Old, nasty dirty dog smell No real welcome on arrival, was sign here let me know if you have any questions and back to watching her TV.

Location is right next to huge rail yard along hwy50. Hwy50 runs cattle to and from massive feed lots using trains and semi's. These two necessary, but noisy systems, pass right in front of this hotel within 50 yards of your street side windows. Add to this no working AC in room 206 to drown out the street noise. Stuffy, loud, no sleep!

This review is for the Best Western Plus. Country Inn is a different hotel next to this one. This hotel will rival most Hiltons or upscale hotels. The lobby is beautiful with a waterfall display behind the front desk. There is a small bar that's open from 6pm-10pm. Pool and hot tub. The breakfast area was good and well rounded. Only thing I did not see was fresh fruit. The room is spacious and clean. This was the first room I've ever stayed in with a ceiling fan! It had all the amenities. Shower had the big square head and was plenty high enough for tall people. Good pressure and hot water. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I will be back!

Doge City is in between our two homes, while it's currently out of season for tourist, it's a great little town to hang out in! Their King suite with jet tub was amazing and the continental breakfast was some of the best we've had!

Clean room, friendly staff and some good choices for breakfast. Everything we expect in a hotel room which is why we pick Best Western Plus. Easy to find on Google maps With a parking lot large enough for our truck and trailer.

Clean, helpful and friendly desk staff, complete breakfast offerings and fitness room; and a coffee machine (with a hot cocoa option!) was available 24/7. I appreciated the local newspaper left out for guests and the wall hangings throughout. Hotel seems older. We could easily hear guests walking around upstairs in the early morning. Pool was a nice temperature, but needs some upkeep. Overall, a lower-quality Best Western, but still has the accommodations I've come to expect from a Best Western (clean, friendly, good breakfast).

From check in to check out, we felt appreciated and received excellent customer service right to the housekeeping staff. Room was extremely comfortable, and spacious. Neighborhood was safe and we felt secure in the parking. You can walk the streets with your dog and even go to a Dennys, an auto supply store, and a drug store. WE were disappointed in Dodge City - but loved our hotel choice.

This is the first time I really had fun staying at a Best Western. The western style Saloon in the lobby was full of locals and guests having a great time visiting, and sharing travel stories. The beds and bedding-pillows were very comfortable. Room Temp was easily controlled all night long and the A/C unit was quiet. Our room was well appointed and the shower was very nice. Walls are well insulated and more sound proof than most and the early risers didn't wake us up. Breakfast was really good and the food was kept hot, even for folks like us that don't wake up early. I have stayed in alot of Best Western Hotel across the country and this is definitely in the top 5, and I will look forward to staying here again.

I called in advance with an issue I had. The staff was professional and understanding. My issue was quickly resolved. I arrived to a clean lobby, a friendly and courteous staff, and a clean room. The bed was clean and extremely comfortable.

We've stayed here before because of the location so close to the Boot Hill Museum. It is within walking distance. We also enjoyed walking around the area to different shops and restaurants. My husband enjoyed the use of the exercise equipment. Thank you for a clean, friendly place to sleep.

Great hotel….cute cowboy theme, clean comfortable and large rooms! Our request for top floor was granted; staff super friendly and helpful….pool was lovely and clean as was gym. Breakfast was standard fare, breakfast attendant was wonderful and welcoming. The drawback was….weren't greeted as Diamond Elite members and no water was provided; also since it was a Slow Sunday night and very few guests in hotel would have been nice to have been offered a complimentary upgraded room with a balcony. Would return again

Was able to secure a balcony room near the end of the Dodge City Days 2023 event. We have stayed here numerous times and are always pleased with the nice facility, spacious rooms and environs. We like the location of the hotel, the friendly staff and the cleanliness of the property, inside and out. Very nice breakfast. We recommend this outstanding hotel.

Nice, place, in a somewhat busy area but noise not an issue. Yessica was nice provdied us with a room change as we requested when we didnt like the location. Good parking safe. Clean room. I would stay there again.

We were traveling across 400 from Colorado and SC staying of the Interstates and enjoyed the country. We checked in just before a storm hit with 80mph winds and we stayed high and dry. We decided to stay in Dodge City and extra day and take in the sites and the Motel was able to accommodate us.

We had an interior/exterior door room. Which was nice. We had the exterior door cracked one day. The manger came into or room. Didn't knock or say he was coming in. Said he had the wrong room. That was very upsetting. The exterior door was hard to close. The toilet when flushed was very loud and if the handle wasn't up it would keep running. The shower had great water pressure. There were 2 fridges in the room. One with the microwave and the other was in the dresser with a door. Which is nice with a family of 4. But the one in the dresser was not plugged in. Yes we wanted the exterior door. I would suggest putting ear plugs in the rooms for the guest due to the hotel facing the main road.. It does get a little noisy. The Pool was great. My kids had it to themselves our whole trip. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. Room was clean everyday. The only thing I would suggest is if the guest have souviners from the Boot Hill Museum don't throw them away. My son was very upset that his bottle from the Museum was thrown away.

This hotel was by far one of the best. It was very clean. The bed was super comfortable with nice linens. The refrigerator and microwave was a plus. There was plenty of parking. This was the nicest thing this area.

There's a very excellent hotel, hands-down overall it's inexpensive, it's convenient it's near all of the attractions that we were interested in going to see. It is also near restaurants that we wanted to eat at.

Very good location, easy walk to Mexican restart and Boot Hill Museum. Friendly staff and a nice small bar. Didn't use the pool but there is one. Breakfast was okay. Ideal location on Wyatt Earp Boulevard

We had an overnight stay on our way to Sedona. Our room was clean and close to restaurants so suited what we needed. But I must give the receptionist Jessica a shout out!!! She was warm and friendly and professional too. Gave us recommendations for dinner and directions to the local brewery as well as the local museum. So nice to be welcomed with a big smile and an attitude of being ready to help. Refreshing!

The Staff was Friendly and Helpful. The rooms were very clean . The property was also Clean. The breakfast was Awesome!! Biscuits and Gravy, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, sausage links, waffles , muffins, danishes, yogurt, cereal and fruit. Juices, milk, coffee…….,

The Best Western Plus in Dodge City is a true gem. Great, friendly staff and clean, spacious rooms. The hotel is also centrally located so you can get to most everything within 5-10 minutes. The parking lot was well lit and I felt very safe staying in this hotel.

After driving all day, we were pleased to find our room was exceptionally clean, spacious, quiet and very comfortable. The staff was pleasant and appeared to be glad we were staying there. The breakfast area was bright and clean with a large variety of food items to choose from. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area. Bill C.

We over-nighted here on our trip back home to AZ from IA! Very nice and super clean hotel. Loved the western decor and Saloon (bar) in the lobby. Conveniently located to restaurants and attractions too!

The pillows were very nice, I really loved the extra pillows. I am one of the few that can't sleep without a few pillows so it's been amazing. I asked the staff where to eat and they were so helpful on finding me somewhere to eat. Everyone was really great and it felt like a piece of home was with me :)

The Manager and the staff are incredibly friendly. There is a little bar downstairs and they make you feel like you are at cheers! This place is absolutely amazing and 10/10 recommended if you are looking for a place they really care. They also have cookies.

We stayed here two nights on the way to Oklahoma. It's a beautiful, comfortable place to stay. Very clean and updated. Great breakfast bar and very friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely stay there again

Enjoyed our stay. The hotel is close to many of Dodge City's attractions. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is plentiful, pleasant and seem to want to make sure that we were happy and well taken care of.

Front desk staff were very helpful. Room was good. Location was ok, but don't try to walk very far (Front Street, etc.) the sidewalks will end. I had a drink at the Long Branch Saloon on site (kind of an inside joke, because it's about five chairs in a horseshoe shape) and it was pretty much how I described it. There was extra parking around back of the hotel. Getting onto Wyatt Earp Boulevard from the hotel can be challenging, especially around check-out time in the morning.

We stayed here for one night passing through. Lovely hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. Even had a bar in Lobby which isn't common in Best Western hotels generally. Good location for visiting the Longbranch, museum and other local attractions.

Yessica and the rest of the team were excellent. Very pleasant and provided info on where to go while in town. I will be returning to this property on my next visit. Room and bar were great and everything was clean. Thanks.

Great Place to stay. We were traveling from Sturgis back home. Did not have any reservations when we showed up. Yessica was very friendly & suggested a great place to eat. The people at the bar were very friendly also. Meet some very nice people, Great time.

This is our go-to when visiting Dodge City and we come every year for the Rodeo semi-finals and finals for seven years now!! We usually come in a group and the lobby provides a comfortable meeting place out of the weather. Great place to stay.

Everything was good. Would have give them 5 star rating but they need to add more or update their fitness equipment. Everything else was great! They have a bar, it's little but it's nice that they have one.

Check-In: Absolutely wonderful. The lady at the front desk was extremely nice and helpful. We decided to get 2 rooms for our family instead of the one we originally booked (same types) and was able to put them closer together for us. Room: Clean with just a touch of western/cattle decor. There are plenty of outlets both by the bed (look on the side of the end table) and throughout the room. The standard double queen room had a mini fridge and microwave. Bathroom: Clean and has citrusy scented bath items. Only issue we had is the tub faucet had come uncaulked, but we addressed it at the end of our one night stay. Just too exhausted to bother with it before heading to bed and it worked with no issues. Breakfast: Nice assortment of hot and cold items. Other than the eggs (which is best to let others season to their liking), the omelets, potatoes, and sausage and gravy had wonderful flavor. Overall it is a nice hotel with friendly service and good breakfast.

The hotel was so clean and updated and the staff was so helpful with anything that we needed. The breakfast was very good and the dining room was very clean with plenty of options for breakfast. We enjoyed the pool and the outdoor area was also an added feature.

Older but interesting motif and even had saloon in lobby. Friendly staff and rooms were spacious. Complaints were beds were way to firm for us. Had crickets in room. Breakfast was actually pretty good with lots of selections including hot items. Problem there were flys all over room. Not our best Hampton stay!

Accommodating, friendly staff and owner. A/C didn't seem to be cooling properly…was accommodated w a box fan which made the room comfortable. BW offered to switch rooms, but declined offer as had already switched to this hotel from the Dodge City Hotel. Facility comfortable.

We have stayed at many hotels but you can tell that this location takes pride in what they do. Very clean rooms, Decor is nicely done and brings you into the era of the old west. Good value for the money.

This was a great hotel with very clean and spacious room. Very clean common areas. Breakfast in the morning was incredible and the employees were very nice. They have a small bar that I did not go to. I would highly recommend this hotel. As far as the city itself, very disappointing

The room was ok but the pillows were square throw pillow size. Thin small blankets. Awful breakfast options including hot juice. The front desk woman was extremely kind and welcoming but just over all disappointing for a so called 4 star hotel.

Stayed two nights in a king room with exterior and interior entrance. Love being able to back the car in and unload, fast and easy. Room was large with a sitting area with couch, chair and coffee table. Lots of room to spread out. Checking in and out was easy and the young man at the front desk was very pleasant. Breakfast had lots of choices and was very good. Will stay again if we're ever back in the area.

Booked room for a Girls soft ball tournament. Checked in got up yto room was hot in side air was on 68 thaught ok we turned it down to 60 went to eat and do some things cam back got ready for bed the room was mabe 75 hot called down to see what could be done it took till Grand doughter was in bed for we had a 6 am leave time that's t am Colorado where we are are from. Said we would try I onle got 2 hours sleep due to room bed every thing in there hot.Told front desk about it again when we left to have some one look at air. It would run for 10 minutes cool then shut down for 45 minutes to hour. Got back that evening after long hot day of softball. Ask if some one looked at air was told no she ask if we would like to chang rooms I said yes that room is so hot 10 minutes later she gave us a different room air work good.

Work Monday night came back Tuesday morning, lady at the front desk saw me follow in into the breakfast area she first went to the kitchen area then came back out and started asking me if I was working in town, and what I was doing. and other questions when I finally asked what she was getting at. I told her I was staying here, then she backed off and started to act nice. This will not bother me, but the other guests were at breakfast, which was embarrassing.

The stay would have been much better had parents controlled their children. The kids made messes, played with the juice and cereal dispensers and toasters. Threw things on the floor, ran around, etc The poor young lady working there could not keep up the mess let alone keeping items stocked.

This hotel was outstanding! So much more than I expected. Awesome Decor, hot Breakfast Buffet , pool, bar, free parking, and within walking distance of both food and sightseeing!!! Employees were outstanding! Will come here again!

First this place is great , last stair case you could use , it is beautiful. Wood is well maintained . Place is clean , modern . The staff is friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was good lots of choices. We met the owner on our way to the elevators . He introduced himself to us . We enjoyed hearing the history of the hotel .I would give the place a 100 . Non smoking a plus for us , no pets . I am allergic to cats so that was good for me .

The balcony door did not open properly and did not seal. Dirt and cold air freely entered the room. The room smelt like a stale ashtray and an odor was in the heating unit. A broken tile in the elevator area was an interesting obstacle. Cars on the street sounded like they were on our balcony, thankfully Dodge City slows down by 2 am. The mattress and bedding were old, worn out and stained. The toilet clogged but a plunger was provided quickly to clear the issue. The exterior signs, wifi and televisions appear to be the only upgrades to the hotel.

Took a family vacation and stayed at this BW. Was a great hotel. Super clean and great rooms. Having a lounge in the hotel is a big plus. We swam in the pool and used the work out facility. The breakfast was great

I had reserved the room about two months early. They graciously look in the room for us, so we knew which room we would have on that day. They placed us close to family member who we were traveling to meet. We were running late and I called to check in and they told me that the room was ready and would be waiting for us. The check in was quick and we had our keys in less than 10 minutes. The front desk staff was pleasant and professional. The room was spacious and clean. I went to get blankets and pillows for the pullout sofa and then were ready and given with a smile. The breakfast in the morning had a large variety to choose from and everything was an appropriate temperature and delicious. Check out was quick. Overall, a lovely stay and we would highly recommend this Best Western.

Very well-managed hotel. Room was a good value, big, clean, and comfortable. As other reviewers noticed, strangely few power outlets. But breakfast was the best I've seen in this class of hotel since Covid…they have a regular full breakfast, rather than the annoying cop-out box of granola bars only, which some other hotels do, claiming “Covid precautions”. Freshly-baked cookies offered at the front desk for guests. Best thing was how friendly and genuine the staff is.

We were traveling from Las Vegas to Indiana and happened to book our room here and it was an amazing night!! We definitely will be back. It was fun and we met new friends in the experience. Thank you so much!

Dodge city was out last stop of our vacation this year! We had an amazing stay at the Best Western! Room was perfect, extremely clean the staff was amazing, and we will definitely be back! The Hyatt's

We were decidedly non-plussed by this establishment which claims a Best Western Plus status. It is an older hotel in need of maintenance both inside and out. The side entrance where we brought in our luggage was littered with refuse, a sign that reflects poorly on hotel management. First impressions count. Second impressions too. An open bathroom door near the entrance showed paper refuse all over the floor. The hallways had an overpowering bleach-like odor, possibly coming from the pool. We asked to be located in a no-pets area and were assigned a room on the top (third) floor. The room appeared clean but had a distinct doggy smell. The writing table was badly chipped. At first glance, the small bathroom also looked clean but a closer look under the sink revealed a dirty stained wall much in need of a paint job. The bathtub was small and the shower head was so low that it was necessary to bend over to shampoo one's hair. The microwave was prominently rusted inside. Yuck! There were no unused bedside electrical sockets to plug in small electrical appliances. The two queen beds were comfortable and afforded a decent night's sleep. The breakfast area was fairly small and the food offerings, although adequate, were not nearly as extensive as most quality hotels. The presence of two large dogs salivating for food at nearby tables did nothing to enhance the atmosphere. This is unsanitary and may be a violation of state health code statues. Overall, this BW Plus hotel was a major disappointment compared with others we have stayed in during the past few weeks. A 2-star rating is more than generous.

After a 15 hour car ride, we finally stopped here at midnight. I made a mistake with my reservation, but Sue was helpful and got my family and I checked in. She also brought extra bedding to our room as well. Breakfast in the AM was filling. Everything was full and working. It was nice to have a variety for breakfast. Would stay here again if ever in the area.

We nearly bypassed this hotel bc of a couple of bad reviews. They must be in error for another hotel or from a disgruntled guest or former employee. This place was spotless & the entire staff was friendly & helpful. Went over & above to make us feel welcome & provide assistance. Breakfast offered great variety & food was hot and appealing - 4 different juices, pancakes, eggs, sausage, sausage gravy, saucer-sized homemade cinnamon roll, fresh fruit & yogurt, & more. Dining area was kept spotless & COVID safe. Laundry facility was equally clean and sanitary. Easy to find in spite of construction in the area and convenient driving distance to Boothill Museum.

Very unique and nice décor. It was a large room with a sofa. We did not hear the trains, which was a plus. The staff was very helpful, especially when trying to decide on a place to eat dinner. We will stay here again if ever in Dodge.

I highly recommend staying here! Aaliyah and Robyn will have you feeling like you're at a dear friends home. They were beyond gracious, attentive and extraordinarily welcoming. It was so nice and clean! I will always stop here when I travel across the states. I came into Dodge to rest after a long drive and Aaliyah turned my frown into a smile with her authentic joy to be at work. She was incredibly smart and helpful with all my questions. What a welcoming and professional face for your company! Pick this specific Best Western in Dodge if you can! Robyn and Aaliyah had great advice and pointed me in all the right directions in Dodge City. Robyn was ridiculously intelligent as well and helped me with some issues with my travel plans. She fixed a lot of my worry for me. She was awesome! I left Dodge in the greatest mood after the best nights sleep. This was by far the most fun that I ever thought I would have in Dodge and now I really love Dodge! It's a fun place with warm and welcoming people. These two women are doing great jobs. I am way more likely to pick a Best Western in the future, simply from this outstanding customer service experience! Thank you so much ladies! Great job and what a great hotel!

When we checked in, we noticed an odor in the room. The desk clerk was kind enough to give us a key to another room, but it smelled the same way. The room was clean and comfortable, but very dark. Breakfast was good and the location was also good. We had been told the pool was heated, but it wasn't - the room was heated. The pool area was very dark - lighting was very poor.

Staff is exceptional!!! Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Laundry was super clean. In a great location to every place. When I had a problem with air unit was fixed immediately. I would recommend here.

Highly recommend. This Best Western's cleanliness exceeded my expectations. Staff was very friendly. I have stayed here several times and have been extremely satisfied each time.. Room looks nicely updated.

Every single staff member was very friendly, courteous, and professional. Every accommodation was made to adjust because our car broke down in the lot. It needed to be towed and repaired before we could leave. A jump? No problem. A late check out? No problem. Change for the laundry? Sure, how much do you need? There was not a need that arose that they were not able to help us with!

We just finished a 19 day road trip with 5 couples driving porsches through 14 states. The best place we stayed was BW Plus Country Inn. The staff, Robyn, Fransico & Sherry, were truly amazing & made us feel like family. The whole evening was so much fun & they definitely added to our enjoyment. We have a group photo to remember this occasion. The hotel was really great & our rooms were wonderful. Thanks again to Robyn, Fransico & Sherry. If we are ever in Kansas again, we will definitely stay with you guys again. Love to you all, Susan, Larry & the group.

Beautiful hotel with a nice, but subtle, western theme. Room was large and comfortable. Hot breakfast was a delight after months of cold grab and gos during the pandemic. Staff were very pleasant, but not masked. There is guest laundry available. Hotel is an easy walk from Boot Hill Museum. Lots of good restaurants within walking distance, too.

I was part of a tour group and this facility seems inexperienced with groups. Just be aware. My room was clean but lighting was very sparse and dark. When I first entered the room, it was dark and I had trouble finding the wall switch. Instead of being just inside the door, it was on the far side of the bathroom door. I use a CPAP and always carry an extension cord with multi-plug, and a separate multi-plug. I needed this last night as no extra outlets were available at the bedside, just those behind the bedside table for the lamp and clock. My bed was extremely comfortable though. Other cons were the privacy shades would not pull together and the sheer was torn. My telephone would not work and had to be replaced. The breakfast was very good. A full hot breakfast. I did not try the coffee though.

I was both impressed & somewhat disappointed. I think the price is in line with other higher end hotels in the area. Just a few things lacking in rooms that made it feel a bit overpriced to me. Maybe just needs updating or maybe I just expected more! Comfy beds & ac worked so I can't complain too much I suppose!

Comfortable room, pleasant staff, great location, delicious complimentary cookies at the front desk, and a nice breakfast. What more could one want —- oh yes, a VERY clean laundry facility. Found it all at this BW!

We've stayed at multiple Best Western Pluses and this was definitely just a regular Best Western at best. You could hear every single thing outside the walls of the room. Clean enough, just obviously old. Nice cowboy vibe, but the website definitely makes it look more desirable than it is. Stood at the front desk for at least 5 minutes before anyone showed up. Felt safe, but wasn't the Best Western Plus experience I'm used to.

I had come in via Amtrak's Southwest Chief and knowing that I was being picked up from the train depot with the train's staff was a comfort. The room was lovely and if I travel again to Kansas, Best Western Plus is where I will hang my cowgirl hat again!

Willie's picture on the wall indicates he's stayed here, so it's good enough for me. Good location, friendly staff, nice lobby bar. Rooms are clean and western decor is adorable. Made me sorry to get out of Dodge. (Sorry, couldn't help myself...)

Passed through Dodge City for the night on our way home. Picked the BW hotel room at random based on what was available in town. Boy did we get lucky?! Robyn at the front desk welcomed us with a warm smile and her customer service was top-notch. We enjoyed a swim with the kids in the clean and wonderfully heated indoor pool, ordered a pizza, watched some TV, and crawled into comfy beds for a good night's rest. Before hitting the road the following morning, we enjoyed the continental breakfast with Maria in the cafe. Absolutely loved our stay! Would recommend this BW to families any day. We will just have to come back and explore Dodge City and stay again!

We had a single, king bed room for two nights. It was quite roomy for two people. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet except for street noise that was sometimes annoying at night. Everything in the room was like new and worked well. It included a microwave, fridge and single cup coffee maker. The free internet was slow to connect and occasionally even slower in use though ok for most of the time. The TV was big screen with excellent picture quality. It was pedestal mounted on a chest of drawers at the foot of the bed which made it awkward to watch from the couch-chair sitting area. I usually complain about only one luggage stand, but can't because they have two!!! Another of my usual complaints is a desk chair that's too short, but again I can't complain at this hotel because the chair was comfortable and adjusted to the proper height easily. Thank you Best Western. Our second floor room had its own little private balcony which was nice. The room was definitely short on electric outlets. I had to pull out a nightstand and unplug the clock to get an outlet for my CPAP machine. The hot breakfast was pretty decent, BUT they had the instant coffee maker that produces undrinkable coffee. The room coffee was better. Special note: the desk lamp only works if the hallway light is on. The people were great. Every employee we encountered was cheerful and willing to go an extra step to help. We will go back, but bring our own coffee.

Bill, the owner, checked us in. Very friendly and very helpful! He helped us choose the best place to eat a perfect steak. The property is probably the Best Western we have been to, and we have been to many all across America. It's very clean, the staff is very responsive, breakfast was wonderful and we got a great night's sleep. Highly recommended!

Francisco provided the utmost class in service to our visit with family. My husband stays long term at this location and Francisco goes to the end of the earth to take care of my husband during the week. Therefore my Husband comes home rested and happy on the weekends. I met Evelyn as well this evening and she is very helpful, polite and knowledgeable. I own and operate service businesses myself, and Francisco and Evelyn are five star!!!! Very clean hotel. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Centrally located. I would stay here again but I doubt I will be in Dodge again. Downsides- rooms dark. I need lots of light to see well so that's a thing I notice. “ Bar” and “ nightly appetizers” never open.

Stayed one night prior to touring Dodge City sites. The decor is lovely and western themed - the interior staircase railings have horseshoes bolting them to the walls, for instance. The room was spacious with fast wifi. Large bathroom with excellent, fluffy towels. Fast and courteous check-in with an offer of local dining recommendations. There is a small lobby bar open from 6-9PM. We didn't use the free breakfast because they don't let you serve yourself - they have staff to get you your food. Forget that, except for people still frightened of the virus. We ate at the IHop next door. Only two reasons I didn't give this hotel a 5* rating: The toilet paper roll was mounted f-a-r from the toilet. BIG reach to get it. Most important - a serious lack of electrical outlets. Only one double outlet near the desk. The few other outlets in the room were full of lamp and appliance plugs.

Very nice clean hotel. My wife and I loved the western decor throughout the hotel. The room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds.. The internet service was very good. The location had many restaurants within a few blocks.

Was a nice room , good breakfast - But , the walls were made of paper! Hears everything from two adjoining rooms , one had a cougher , the other had people talking until the wee hours - And the traffic!! Heard every Motorcycle and Bumblebee car on the street! Had to put in ear plugs1

It has a nice sitting area so you are not all cramped on the beds. There was a fridge that worked well and a microwave. It was a bit more then I wanted, but being able to have the fridge and microwave instead of eating out, helped make up the difference.

We are traveling cross country and have been reassured that all hotel staff have been masked showing respect for us as we are masked. Except this evening walking in here to see front desk person and ask why she did not have a mask? Her reply: we don't have to if we don't want to. Outrageous disrespect for hotel customers, for caution and recognition of a highly infectious disease. Also the bar in the small lobby had 2 customers without masks. DANGER ZONE. Ridiculous - just to get to elevator exposed x3.

Found this gem!! I love the western theme of this hotel! Frida checked us in she's great, very professional & personable!! We didn't have any issues with the room which is always great!!! The whole hotel including the room smelt great like it was cleaned very well!! It's very convenient location miles from the race track a few nice gas stations & a good selection of food!! (apple bee & ihop) Walmart being only 4 miles away was perfect!! There also was a adorable FREE zoo that's great for the family!! Right by the holiday inn express/ water park We just loved it!!

Very close to the Boot Hill Museum. Plenty of restaurants around, also. Staff was very helpful when we questioned where to eat and what to see. The Boot Hill Museum experience is well worth it if you grew up watching Gunsmoke.

I have to say, this was a great visit. Our room was clean, every staff member we encountered was very friendly, the breakfast was good, the pool was nice...The only thing I can even THINK to complain about was that there weren't enough outlets by the bed (we had a split room, king bed and sitting area) so I had to charge my phone in another room and I'm used to it being by the bed. Not much to complain about! It was a great stay and the staff deserves kudos!

The ascetics were mind blowing, and it's obvious that a lot of care and love went into the upkeep and care of the hotel. Honestly one of the better, if not the best hotel I've stayed in. Had a chance to talk to the owner's brother Brent (family owned business, he owns the North Edge Inn Best Western on the other side of town) and was impressed with the level of service offered. He was able to point me in the right direction for local amenities, as well as a car repair (I was stranded from hitting a small animal). If I ever find myself in that neck of the woods, I will make sure that I stay at this Best Western, or the North Edge one.

We've stayed here many times while passing through Dodge. It's always been clean, friendly and convenient. The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable and your stay enjoyable. Motorcycle friendly too boot.

You get a lot of road noise, and we had a rude neighbor, that like to sit outside and smoke and talk to people late at night. The lady at the desk on Saturday was awesome and very helpful. She had answers to all our questions. Made us feel very welcome.

We stayed at the nicest best western that we have stayed at here in dodge city, KS. I would 10/10 recommend it. The staff was amazing. Darla, was absolutely wonderful to deal with and super helpful! If you are ever in dodge City I would recommend.

Great hotel just off the main street in Dodge City. Close to the museum and not far from shopping. The IHOP across the parking lot was very handy. The rooms were spacious and the whole place had a neat western theme. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was served in the morning and you could take it to go, which we did, with a good selection of food given the circumstances. We would definitely stay here again.

I would highly recommend this to everyone. Friendly staff, Clean inside and out. Made us feel like family. Great location, close to everything we wanted to see and do. Loved it. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Service in all areas was exceptional. Room was comfortable and clean. Lobby area also very clean and classy. The tv didn't work upon arrival and called the front desk. They were there within minutes. They recommended a great place to eat. Enjoyed our one night stay.

Upon arrival at the best western plus, me and my associate were extended a warm welcome and effortlessly checked in. Rustic western Cowboy vibes add a nice feel. Brent, the hotel owner is a very kindhearted host who personally makes sure that any request be taken care of promptly. Would not hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it as it is truly the best hotel in Kansas!

we originally had a reservation for another motel but what's not satisfied with it at all so we came to Best Western and was very well surprise. It was clean and kept up nicely. The staff were helpful and nice. Will come back again.

Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The wireless Internet connection worked well and was fairly fast. The breakfast items were fresh. Good coffee here as well. A small bar in the lobby area is a nice plus. My only disappointment at this locally owned Best Western is: I was charged an extra $1.50 (plus tax) for the room safe that I did not use. I challenged this fee at check-out and was told all guests are required to pay for the convenience of having use of the safe. Not an ethical way to perform business and treat their guests.

We were in town for the junior college basketball tournament. The hotel and its staff went out of their way to welcome us. Very friendly. Because it's a bit older, you need to pack your own USB stuff. The hotel has been nicely updated. We loved having outside access to our vehicle--right outside our door. Pool was nice and warm.

This Best Western must be competing for a Green Award or wants to take you back to illumination levels when Wyatt Earp was on the job. I've seen rooms in Europe, which are notorious for dim lighting, seem like searchlights in comparison. In addition, there was one light fixture that was unplugged. When I searched for an outlet, I could see why, since there was not one that the cord could reach. Otherwise, things were pretty much as you would expect. I haven't stayed in the other Dodge City BW location, but I'm betting it would be better. We stayed here the second night of a 17 day trip in which we stayed in 11 different 2- and 3-star properties. I'd rank this 10th of the 11. I probably would stay in the other Dodge City BW next time.

We stayed at the Best Western during one of the saddest times after losing my dad. Bill and Kim, along with the rest of their staff, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I can't say enough about how nice and accommodating everyone was during our week stay. Definitely a perk of a small town, locally owned business.

Our family was in Dodge City for a funeral and could not have had a better place to stay. Some people were here for just a few days and some for 10 days, with a total of 14 people including a 3 and 6 year old. Having stayed in DC before, we always choose Best Western and picked the Wyatt Earp location this time because of the indoor pool for the kids and the spacious rooms. Both locations are awesome and always impeccably clean. BTW, there is now a quiet zone, so no more early morning train whistles! The staff is definitely top notch and we'd like to give special shout-outs to Darla, Weenie, Maria, Luis and Andrea. We had a get-together with a large group of friends the evening before the funeral and the staff and accommodations were truly above and beyond exceptional. Thanks so much to the Cunningham's and their entire crew for their kindness to our family at a tough time.

We stayed here on our way through, nice hotel. Hotel was clean as was our room. Staff was very accommodating as we are pulling a 24' enclosed trailer and their parking is somewhat limited. They actually have a little Saloon in the lobby area. Overall just a well upkepte hotel!

Landed here with my son's hockey team and had a wonderful stay. Got a little nervous when I saw external room doors when we pulled in, but once inside I realized the whole place had been re-done (quite recently it appeared) and all the room entrances were in the interior. Room and beds were clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was great. Also got a bit nervous when we found earplugs to mute the noise from the train tracks two blocks away. However, while some of our group said they heard them, we heard nothing all night (save for the yelling down the hall the wife awakened to at 2:00am!). Breakfast was wonderful, though be advised that's it's kind of spread out. There's plenty to eat and something for everyone, but be sure to look around the whole room before deciding what to put on your plate. Overall, I've paid a whole lot more for a hotel room and gotten a whole lot less. For the money, the Best Western Plus Country Inn & Suites is the best value in Dodge City.

Staying in these Best Western hotels are like staying with family. Great breakfast, helpful staff, ultra clean rooms, GREAT BEDS & PILLOWS, Couldn't be better. Competitive price... probably the nicest hotel I'll stay in all year.

I've been all around the world and stayed at a lot of Best Western hotels. This one was probably the cleanest one with the friendliest staff. My family and I were very happy about our choice and would stay again if we go back through Dodge City.

Maria made the best pork green Chile I've ever had! We enjoyed the stay here, and the breakfast Maria cooks is top gun. Clean, nice hotel, with great people that are also very helpful. We will definitely stay again!

We just expected a very standard Best Western but we're very pleasantly surprised. There was lovely theming in the hotel from the bar to the decor in the lobby and even the room numbers on sheriffs badges, the lights in the corridors and the lamps in the room. The room was large and very clean and the staff were all very welcoming. There was an iHop next door. We would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel

I have been staying here for a set of years, and have had reason to be back twice in the last couple of months; Fantastic location (14th and Wyatt Earp BLVD). Rooms are comfortable and well attended, good gym and pool, and breakfast is excellent for a chain - specifically because of their green pork chilli - made with love (comida casera). A good customer focused team in every area of the property. Close to all the restaurants and a walk from Boot Hill. A comfortable room and bed for any type of traveler.

The hotel was very clean, and very up to date. The pool area was wonderful, it was a heated pool. We didn't try the little bar area but it looked very nice. The jail cell was a nice touch to it. Andrea was very nice and check in was very smooth , and so was checkout. 10/10 would stay here again. Thank you all best westerns

Ok clean room was very dark and dated but clean. Lack of electrical outlets and or USB connections made charging difficult without unplugging lamps etc. Only window opened into parking lot so sunlight was not available. Thin walls, TV was heard from adjoining room.

Check in staff was wonderful. Room was neat and clean but dark. Bed was comfortable. Only complaint is that it is close to train tracks- would recommend requesting room on back side of motel to decrease this noise.

No surprises - the cleanliness and comfort I would expect from a Best Western Plus. It's just slightly out of the way but there are a few choices of eateries in walking distance. If I'm ever in Dodge City again I will probably look at something a little less fancy / expensive.

I recently had a comfortable week long stay at this hotel in historic Dodge City, Kansas. I was pleasantly rewarded with a modern hotel that was appropriately furnished and decorated with a western theme that was very tastefully done with great artwork/pictures and furniture that was not only on display in the common areas of the hotel, but also was were present in the hotel rooms. This decor gave the hotel a cozy, western feel that was inline with the historic Dodge City image and history. The hotel had a great little bar to have a drink or two with other travelers who were staying at the hotel and looking for a little conversation. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had amenities that gave a western flavor. The bed was comfortable with a bathroom that was clean and had also been recently remodeled with stylish ceramic tile and matching colors. The owners and/operators of the hotel have obviously taken special interest in maintaining and decorating this hotel and making sure weary travelers have a restful and relaxing stay. The free breakfast was great, as they offered both hot and cold items and there was a variety of choices. The dining area was clean, well maintained and had staff members that was present and make sure that there was plenty of food available for guests that were coming and going. The staff was excellent, as all contact I had with them was pleasant and all were personable, helpful and sharp. I regularly stay in Dodge City and will stay here each and every time in the future - I had a great experience!

Everything from when I called to make the reservations until I checked out was without a doubt the finest Best Western experience I've had. I stay in the Best Western about 50 nights a year. Darla at the front desk when above and beyond to make sure me in my high maintenance pool playing buddies were well taken care of and because of that we will be looking forward to our next visit. Everything good you read in the other reviews is true plus more. Lovely place. I asked for a balcony because I enjoy them so much and I got exactly what I requested and on top floor. Evening cookies a nice touch. Pretty indoor pool. Amazing breakfast and the hostess was top notch too. Newspapers were laid out on each table; thoughtful touches all around.

Our favorite thing as a family was the unique breakfast set up.Breakfast had everything any other hotel has plus lots of other food options and a very nice lady, Maria. She was very kind, attentive, and hardworking. Always saw to how our breakfast was every morning of our three day stay. The rooms are also pretty clean and room service was good. Fitness room was small but varied with a cable machine instead of the usual dumbbells and still had the usual treadmills and bikes. I'd give a 4 1/2 star review instead of a 4 because of the breakfast service. Overall would definitely recommend for any kind of stay, especially family stays.

The rooms are very clean and the staff is all very friendly and helpful. Sue at the front desk was a joy to talk to and Maria made our morning with a fresh delicious breakfast. We stayed at the Best Western in Dodge City KS. The room was great, the kids enjoyed the pool, the breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The staff was very adamant about us having everything we needed during our stay.

Very nice friendly place to stay. rooms are clean and updated. Lobby is nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable! Area was great, breakfast was included and if you wished to leave for a meal there was an IHOP just steps away.

While traveling with our daughter and her family we stopped at this Best Western. They gave our son-in-law an Active Duty military discount on their room. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The service was very friendly and the hotel was conveniently located near a restaurant for breakfast the next morning. We would stay here again if making this same trip through the same town.

After stopping at the hotel where we had made a reservation in advance, we cancelled and went to Best Western. We were treated by Darla who got us checked into an amazing junior suite with a jetted tub. Darla took amazing care of us!

The Best Western was a great place to stay in Dodge City. The room was very large and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff was helpful and informative. Plus we had an excellent view of the fireworks on July 4!

Wonderful place to stay, the staff are very professional, rooms were very nice, clean and well stocked. Was told our room had balcony but when we arrived it didn't, clerk moved us to one with no problem. Being the 4th of July and after a day full of activities we were able to sit on balcony and watch fireworks fill the sky.

This is an excellent place to stay. Great location, good breakfast, nice clean rooms, decor goes with the theme of the area, and friendly staff. So why not 5 stars? Three simple reasons. 1. I knew something was up when we walked in and found ear plugs on the desk. The road noise is extremely loud and is constant. My husband is a light sleeper and probably only slept 3 hours. 2. The pillows on the bed were the smallest pillows I think I ever saw. One literally looked like a throw pillow that they converted into a bed pillow. The other one looked like a child's pillow. 3. Then there was a train that I think ran every half hour for two hours. That might be a bit of an over exaggeration but just want people to be aware. Would I recommend or stay here again? Being a Best Western customer for years more than likely but I might try the other Best Western for comparison.

The hotel was very helpful for all our needs. We had a funeral and needed lots of accommodations. The owner actually helped carry bags etc. Darla Cara and Weenie were great hosts and was consistently asked what else they could do. I definitely recommend staying here. My son and I were in the area for Father's Day weekend to do some hiking. This place is just what we needed after a long day of adventuring. The hotel has a very nice heated pool and a wonderful hot breakfast.

My wife has been to Dodge City several times on business. This was my second time traveling with her. Previously we stayed at another hotel but decided to try this one because the other hotel had gotten too expensive for us. Everything was very nice. Our room was clean and comfortable. The towels are better than the ones I have at home. Breakfast was among the best I've ever had (Kudos to the "breakfast lady"). Our room was on the front side of the hotel, so we could hear the train whistles at night and early the next morning. The bed was comfortable but a little soft for our tastes. Our room didn't have many empty outlets for our electronics so we had to unplug a lamp, a minor inconvenience. There's an IHOP next door and several other restaurants close by. The staff is top-notch.

We love Best Western plus ❤️ This one in Dodge City is a favorite. The staff is amazing always making sure everything is the best. Breakfast cannot be any better....the coffee is amazing and fresh baked cookies...We always look for BWP and have gotten spoiled, very disappointed if we can't find one! Hotel, property, and room were very nice. Room was comfortable and clean. Had a problem with our TV, but Darla fixed it ASAP. Darla was a great check-in host. There is an IHOP right next to the hotel, an easy 2 minute walk.

We love staying at this Best Western. We travel back and forth to Michigan and have stayed here several times. I like that the rooms are clean and smell clean not with that cover up spray fragrance. The bathrooms are big and appointed with little shampoos and soaps ,plenty of hot water and a large counter top. The beds and bedding are comfortable, the TV and internet perfect and the heat and AC can handle very cold temps to super high heat. The breakfast and coffee are very good, and there are several places to dine nearby. It nice to be able to call the front desk and ask for a request such as a bottom floor room or near an entrance or connecting doors and they always try to accommodate without saying " sorry we cant guarantee that" like so many other chains do. And the employees are WONDERFUL. Darla goes above and beyond being helpful and kind. Sue , Maria and Kevin are awesome.. If you are in Dodge City, This is a perfect place to stay. Happy Trails

Not only is the atmosphere unique with the cowboy theme (fitting for Dodge City), but the customer service was excellent. From the staff at the front desk to staff working around the hotel. In the morning Maria made you feel like you were eating breakfast at a restaurant and not a complimentary hotel meal. Excellent!

This is a wonderful hotel, it was very clean. Right in the middle of the downtown area. Check in was very fast and very easy if you have your best western reward number on hand. Andrea did a wonderful job showing me where my room was and showed me where it was easiest to park. Breakfast was good. And check out was fast.

I have been well cared for as the Amtrac train (scheduled for before 5am and breakfast) was delayed. Sue let me know about the delay (which I had not noticed on my own phone), and then, because she was ahead of schedule, offered to open the breakfast area for me (even though she had already provided me with a Grab-and-Go bag for an early breakfast). The room was very clean and well-organized. I will remember this Best Western Plus Country Inn and Suites for a future stay traveling to Kansas by Amtrac.

Nice hotel, very clean and well kept. Would rate as a five if not for the traffic noise and wind whistlling through bacony door. Wife took upgraded balcony room which was on south side on top floor. Sounded great until settled in and the wind started to blow harder. Imagin that in western Kansas. LOL Bacolny didn't have a sliding door but rather a cheap poorly hung hinged door with a large gap aroung door jamb. Pluged up crackes with blankets and pillows, helped some. Wyatt Earp Blv. right out front (HWY 56) with alot of noisy traffic and railroad tracks on other side side of highway with the occasional train that blew their horn liberally. Make sure to get a room on backside of hotel! Beakfast was average for free offering, better than alot of BW breakfasts. The best thing BW has here is Darla at the front desk, a real gem. Good cookies too.

Maria was in charge of the breakfast area. She made sure food was constantly refilled. There were many protein options, including real fried eggs, fruits, juices, and cereals. The eggs, omelet, and grapefruit slices were our favorites. Darla, the person at the front desk when we checked in, was very helpful. She suggested a great Italian restaurant, Bella Italia Ristorante, for dinner. The bed was very comfortable. The shower had great pressure. We would definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed my visit to this hotel, I had a balcony with jacuzzi room that was great! The front desk clerk Darla was very knowledgeable and had great customer service , I will definitely keep this place in mind if I return to Dodge City Kansas. Thank you!

My stay here was awesome. They accepted Chopper the cat & we stayed one night. The bed was comfortable & the shower was great. Breakfast was delightful & I especially enjoyed the cranberry juice. Fresh fruit was served. I liked the fried eggs. Sue from the Front Desk gave me a bottle of water for the road, after I told her I had been dehydrated the day before. I thought the charge was reasonable for the room for one night. I would definitely stay here again. I told myself I will never stop at another motel with a number in it.

We planned for a quick overnight on a long cross country car trip but one of us became ill while here. So we had to stay an extra night. It was easy to get to a good local grocery store where food supplies were accessed, and the hotel was a good place to recover. We had not planned to use the exercise facilities, but the healthy ones of us was able to get moving and take advantage of the facilities, Pleasant and helpful staff.

We loved staying at this BW hotel. Darla at the front desk was outstanding. She had a very positive attitude.Darla gave us a great dinner suggestion. Beverly had our room exquisitely prepared for us. Maria was great in the breakfast room. Kevin sent us off with a positive start to our day. We would definitely return for another visit. We would give this hotel 10 stars.

Staff was very Friendly and check in was relatively fast, The room was clean and ready for guest. Breakfast was good and had good selection.. Had no complaints, will recommend this Best Western to relatives and friends.

We stayed for two nights and both nights were awesome. Andrea was very friendly and we learned so much about dodge city's history from her. Long branch saloon was an awesome idea. It really caught our eye. This hotel is number 1. Thank you so very very much.

Room was super comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was outstanding, service attendant Maria was quite the help. Price beat other hotels in the area that's a plus. Close to almost everything. Andrea and Louis were very polite and attentive. Hotels appearance from inside and out looks above it's rating.

We were very pleasantly greeted. We enjoyed a comfortable & very clean room. The breakfast was very tasty with many choices of nutritious and well presented items. Sue, a hostess for the hotel, visited with us & asked several times if there was anything she could do for us or get for us. The front desk attendant got us water as we were leaving on a long, continuous road trip.

I am normally a Hampton customer, but I decided I would try out this Best Western Plus. I was pleasantly surprised. Room was very comfortable the decor of the hotel really made it feel like I was staying in the old west, staff went above and beyond! Check in was smooth (great cookies btw) and check out with Louis was quick Maria's breakfast was good and big. Gonna start staying at best westerns more often.

I always stay at this location each time that I'm in town. It's centrally located in Dodge City and it's pretty easy to get in and out of. Central to restaurants and some of the "tourist" things you might do in town. Hotel is clean, stafff is great. Also has a small bar in the front lobby for happy hour cocktails.

The staff at this facility were so kind and helpful! The breakfast was fresh and hot every morning. The bartender working the bar the night we went was awesome and made great drinks. They were very understanding when my car broke down in their parking lot and I had to leave I there for a few extra hours.

I have been staying at this hotel for several days, the staff are warm and inviting. Any issues I have had have been immediately taken care of. The rooms are very nice and the beds are comfortable. I work in the customer service business, it is refreshing to see a staff that genuinely care for there customers and will go to great lengths to make everyone feel welcome. Great job to Brock, Darla, Lance, and anyone else I failed to mention.

I was extremely satisfied with this hotel. Centrally located to everything in the downtown area. Everyone was so friendly, the decor was wonderful, the elevators were very timely, and the breakfast that was offered had several options. We had a Jacuzzi Suite and it was lovely. Plenty of room and all of the amenities that one might need. The office area, exercise room, and pool were very clean and well maintained. We would definitely stay here again!

I booked with this hotel and showed up later in the evening. I expected they would not read my requests as 90% of the hotels I stay at do not. Upon arriving, Darla greeted me and started my check in. I asked her if she read my request, to which she explained she did, and had already accommodated me to a larger room at no cost and already had it set up ready to go. I dread checking into hotels, but I would gladly check in with Darla there any time. What a great experience. The hotel was also very clean and provided a great night's rest.

If I could rate a place beyond 5 stars this would be it!!! I've never been at a hotel that the management and staff we're so friendly, personable, and accommodating!! We were there for 3 nights and enjoyed every moment! Brent, the manager, bent over backwards to please. Melissa, who over saw the delicious breakfast is a gem!!! The rooms are beautiful and so clean! All in all it was a most memorable experience...one that I can't really say enough about! Hats off to the entire staff!!!!

I've stayed at the Dodge City Best Western Plus Country Inn and Suites twice now. Both times, I was visiting Dodge City to teach at a coaching clinic, and I plan to return in the future. Next time, I'll be sure to stay at this same hotel again. The room was above and beyond what I'd expected, and the comfort level was top-notch.

It was a good place to stay. An easy to use shower. Had microwave and refrig, I had the king size bed which gave me a good nights rest. It had an indoor pool and a small bar with friendly people willing to help. Maria did very good with the breakfast.

Hotel was very clean and pleasant. I loved the old Wild West decorations. Andrea was very lovely at check in and was knowledgeable with all the restaurants and attractions. Had a very wonderful stay. Breakfast was a 10/10. I recommend this place

Beautiful hotel with western décor located in the center of town at a very reasonable price. Room was large with all the amenities you could need. The first day of day till the last day of the stay was the best visit and stay I have experienced with all the Big fee Hotels. Premier service. Clean and fresh bathrooms and beds. Breakfast above and beyond any Hampton wished to give. Manager at 9:30 pm manufactured an ice pack for my ailing back problem. Only one place to stay in Dodge City, Kansas.

Since the moment you check in they make you feel so welcoming. They are very accommodating. Very wonderful staff. Rooms are amazing and very clean too. No problems here. Breakfast is good. This is a place where I would like to stay next time.

Long story short. The Co detector went off during the night woke everyone up. Promised discount that they say they couldn't give because we booked through Priceline. Spoke to GM that compared smoke/CO detector batteries to remote control batteries. I was also charged extra bed charge for my 9 month old baby. I'm sure this hotel would have been great if we hadn't been woken up in the middle of the night because they were to cheap to regurly change the batteries on life safety device.

Hotel was well presented. Breakfast is included although we left prior to it being open so can't advise on quality. Beds were very comfortable. Room was good. We were on a lower level room and did have noisey people above us but that wasn't the hotels fault. The did put a stop to it once I advise them which was great. Would definitely recommend. Clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good location.

I am not really sure why this place is given the ratings it has. The property is in need of some upgrades. We stayed in a King Suite which was a nice spacious room but the amenities are lacking. There are nearly enough outlets. The microwave and coffee maker are stacked on top of the fridge and there is only one outlet with 2 receptacles. So if you want to plug your phone in and keep the fridge running, you must unplug the coffee maker and mic. We could only find one additional outlet available for laptops and other phones. The small fridge did not work properly and took most of the night to chill down. The pillows in this hotel must be quite old, they are hard as bricks. We also should have requested to stay on the third floor. We were forced to hear every footstep of the guests in the room above us. The staff is great and very friendly. There other hotels here that offer more current accommodations.

Love this hotel! We are always treated fairly. The Best Western staff and employees are always kind and willing to please. We refer to BW Inn & Suites as "our home away from home". We would highly recommend this hotel, off Wyatt Earp, to anyone who's destination is Ole Dodge City.

Good location for a drive by, close to restaurants and bars. Very friendly staff. For this kind of place the breakfast really rocked. Besides the regular chain-motel offerings, they really had it happening here an amazing green chili pork dish and others. My wife usually hits the fruit and yogurt, but she loaded up on the green chili pork. The breakfast hostess (Maria, maybe) was very helpful and shared the recipe.

Maria, your breakfast attendant did an excellent job on her meals in the morning. She tended to myself, as well as other guests in a very respectful way. She has good people skills. Thank you. Also, Carmen the housekeeper for my room also did an excellent job. My room had fresh towels daily and everything was kept clean.

We were tired after 600 mile on motorcycles. This place was centrally located with an I-Hop across the parking lot. The rates were OK, rooms were great. Staff friendly. We got a good night sleep. Access was not extremely easy but easy enough as it is off of a side street. Or at least that is the way we entered. I believe a person can access the parking lot from the main street.

The breakfast was the best complementary breakfast I have had. I usually stay in the Hampton when traveling for work but thinking we will have to switch. Thanks Maria for the breakfast. My family looked forward to it.

This hotel is so beautiful, the lighting is so light and warm. The customer service is awesome! Andrea did an awesome service checking us in and giving us good options to go out and eat, and they even had a shuttle service that took us out to central station. Overall everything was good and was very impressed.

When checking in the staff was very pleasant and helpful, they offered a complementary shuttle to take us anywhere in Dodge we wanted to go, Our room was very clean and updated. The big surprise was the Breakfast that is offered, not at all your typical Motel Breakfast, Maria does a fantastic job, she had fried eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pork chili, plenty of fresh fruit, pastries, cereals, pancakes, juice and coffee, she greats everyone with a big smile and a hello, she takes pride in her job and keeps the dining area spotless. Stayed here with group for opening weekend of pheasant season, hunting was bad but the hotel was great. Nice updated rooms, comfortable beds. The hot breakfast was great and available early. I would definitely stay here again

The hotel was clean. The sheets were soft I had more than adequate pillows. The staff were friendly and helpful. The front desk even greated us in the breakfast room to ask us how our stay was. But, most importantly, the breakfast was on point! Green pork chile with my eggs is a great way to start my day!

This hotel is one of the best hotels I have ever visited! From the minute I walked in and checked in by Andrea to checking out with Louis. Everything was so perfect! The mini bar is beautiful and the heated pool was even better! The shuttle service was amazing and so was our driver! I believe his name was Francisco. The breakfast was so very tasty! This property is just OUTSTANDING! The owners must be proud to have such an amazing staff and property. I will be a returning guest!

We have gone to Dodge City at least 4-5 times in the past few years, and our stay this time at the Best Western Plus was by far the best yet! Location, price, modernness of the facility, the breakfast (Maria was amazing), the front desk friendliness ( Louis was exceptional!) , and the large room all made it a wonderful 2 day stay.

After travelling over night from Chicago on the Amtrak. We arrived at Best Western in Dodge and met by Sue at 5.30 am in the morning she was so helpful couldn't be more helpful and the Hotel was fantastic. We would definitely return.

This BW is one of the best I stayed at. It's in a great location close to food and attractions. The property is clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The western them of the property shoots them up!

My husband and I rolled into town just before 4pm after driving all day from Omaha, and I was so thankful I had pre-booked a room at Best Western Plus. We could not have received a warmer welcome, and at various times were helped by Darla, Louis and Andrea regarding antique stores, best burger in town, downtown parking, hotel facilities, and local sightseeing. I believe it was Darla who alerted us to the fact that we had just one hour left in the day to visit a particular antique store before it closed, and she advised us of exactly where to turn and where to park for fastest possible access to the shop. It all worked seamlessly, and I found gifts for my mom and a painting for our home. Nirvana! After shopping & dinner, we returned to the hotel and still had plenty of time for a dip in the pool. It was so refreshing after a long hot day, and then we got into the "cadillac" of all hot-tubs -- with underwater bucket seats and water jets on your back and feet. It could not have been better. After a perfectly lovely breakfast at the hotel the next morning, we were rested, refreshed and ready to return home to Albuquerque. I wish again to personally thank Darla, Louis and Andrea for being the perfect hosts, and making us feel so at home.

The service was exceptional from Erica, Ruby, Cindy & Darla. Not only a complimentary breakfast but also a courtesy bus that dropped us off & picked us up whenever we required. We could also have a drink at their bar before going out. We have never had this type of service before. Rooms were comfortable & clean. A stay at this motel will always leave you wanting more...from other motels.

This is the best BW I've stayed at and I've been in a few in my travels. The staff is courteous, the amenities are above what would be expected and the decor matched the history of the town. It's obvious they took pride in where they are and appointed the decor to enhance the guests stay. I will be back many times to this one.

Amazing hotel, room, staff, amazing everything! Room was clean and very pleasant and comfortable. I checked in with Andrea who was super pleasant and ready to help me with anything i needed! From the moment we arrived, this was one of the best overall hotel experiences I've had. The décor of the lobby was very Western which is so nice to establish a sense of place while travelling. Water and cookies were available at the front desk. Louis and Darla made us right at home. When multiple people are checking in at the same time it can get chaotic, but they handled everything with professionalism. Best Western is known to be motorcycle friendly and this one did not disappoint. Louis got us a bucket of water and rags to wipe down our bikes. We were allowed to park under the overhang by the lobby, which every biker appreciates. This hotel is walkable to several sites in town, but if you want to go further out there is a shuttle available. Our room was large and had a separate sitting area. The pool area was very nice to relax in after dinner. There is even a small bar area in the lobby. I think it is open only on week nights. Breakfast was done well, with hot and cold items. I was surprised and pleased to see fried eggs as an option on our second morning-- not the usual scrambled eggs. The attendant was constantly working to keep everything clean and filled. I would definitely stay here again if I was in the area.

I have stayed at this property a few times, once for business and once for leisure. They meet expectations for any kind of stay. Clean, friendly, and spacious property with a shuttle service to get you anywhere in town. Absolutely one of the best breakfasts I have had at any hotel, ever. This hotel was perfect in everyway. The staff was the friendliest I've ever seen. Andrea checked us in a time efficient manner and Lee was extreamly professional and quick! They ALL were very helpful and infomative with a smile. The manager was always walking around making sure the hotel was in order and working. The room was very comfotable and very clean. The breakfast was fresh and they had a wide variety. I was so comfortable. I would most definitely stay there again.

The plumbing in our shower was completely loose inside the wall. Employees knew very little about area restaurants. Hotel was dirty. The air conditioner would not shut off so we unplugged it. The hot tub was cold so we told front desk and they closed door to outside but the door was open again the next morning so was still cold. I would not stay here again.

We checked in on 8/24/18 and from the moment we arrived, Louie at the front desk and Darla were just so friendly and accommodating, We had ridden our Harley's through a grasshopper infestation and they immediately provided buckets of water and cloths to clean our bikes. They provided us with shuttle service to the restaurants and even called in someone on Sunday to shuttle us when they didn't even have someone on duty that day for shuttle service. The hotel is so clean and so well managed. There are so many fun and interesting things to do in Dodge City. We are so glad we stayed here and hope to come back again!

This is the ONLY place you need to stay in Dodge City, KS. This is our second layover at this hotel. The king suite was perfect after a long day on the motorcycle. Fantastic accommodations and the best, bar none, customer service. Darla and Johnny were amazing!!! Keep up the sensational work.

I made a last minute reservation and everything went really well. The staff was excellent in helping with everything. The hotel was very clean and the breakfast was delicious. I slept so good no problems at all. The location was excellent within walking distance to restaurants.

My son and I visited Dodge City and were involved in an automobile accident. We stayed at this hotel afterwards and the staff absolutely went so far out of their way to help us youd have thought we were family members. Easy to find off the freeway however traffic is quite congested in the afternoon. Pleasant front staff at check-in who also provided infoeinform on a good local restaurant nearby. Comfortable bedding and cozy room.

Booked here because of the positive reviews on TripAdvisor as we wanted to visit Boot Hill Museum . Darlene at check-in was super helpful in making sure we were happy with the room, knew where the pool and bar were and gave us great dinner recommendations. Our room had a balcony overlooking the Main Street and railroad tracks. The room a/c gave off enough white noise so that the few times the trains came through, it didn't bother us whatsoever. Bed and pillows were comfy and the sheets nice and soft. Room was nice with a sitting area, nice sized bathroom, wonderful citrus amenities and big fluffy towels. The breakfast room was a good size, food was well stocked and areas cleaned immediately. Food was standard fare however it was plentiful and the coffee quite good. Thanks again Darlene and housekeeping, for your assistance! Definitely would stay here again.

We stayed here during a weekend of baseball. We were greeted by extremely friendly staff and checked in fast. Lemonade and cookies at the front desk too! The place is conveniently located near restaurants, convenience stores and Boot Hill. Our room was clean, cool, and comfortable. The entire hotel is clean. The breakfast is very good with a nice selection of food and beverages. They also have a shuttle service, indoor pool and fitness center. We'll definitely stay here on our next visit to Dodge City. We arrived to a smiling friendly staff at the BW Plus in Dodge City. They had fresh cookies ready when we arrived and gave us an upgraded room at no charge. Got into our room and we were quite surprised with the jacuzzi that was in the suite. There was also a balcony that looked out on the town. Nice touch. Great amenities and they even shuttled us to the restaurant that they told us about. In the morning we had their breakfast that was quite filling. Very impressed with this property. Only one problem is that you can here the train if your room faces the street. But the provided ear plugs. We will be back through here some day and this is the place we will stay in.

Hotel is beautiful and clean. The staff is extremely friendly. This was our first time in Dodge City and we had actually made reservations with another hotel. We walked into the hotel and turned around and walked right back out. We drove to Best Western and checked in here instead. So glad we did!!! We truly enjoyed our stay!

I very much enjoyed the feel and ambience of this establishment. It is centrally located and easy to find. The rooms are well appointed and the beds and pillows are comfortable. I've already stayed twice in a room with a private balcony. It is calming and centering to be able to enjoy the evenings there. Best of all is the courteous and efficient staff!. On my second visit, I happened to leave a personally valuable article of luggage on the couch in the sitting room. By the time I realized this, I was hundreds of miles away on my journey with no possibility of returning to retrieve it. Andrea and staff quickly helped me make arrangements to have FedEx pick up my luggage and forward it to me. Everything arrived perfectly, just as I had left it. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's decorated very boutique style. It was very clean. The staff was friendly and kind. The bar was fun and had just about anything you could want. Overall wonderful experience. And the price was right.

After a long hot and windy day on the motorcycle logging 588 miles we were definitely ready to stop and rest for the night. Darla greeted us at the front desk with a warm smile and two bottles of cold water. We were allied to park the bike under the canopy which is a huge plus. This is a great motel to stay at and Darla is certainly an integral part in making you feel welcomed and wanted. Stay here with confidence. Safe clean great location.

We had a wonderful experience here! Darla at the front desk was always cheerful and helpful, giving us great ideas for places to eat and things to do in the area. This hotel is very nice. Breakfast was excellent (I had pancakes with chocolate chip and cherry toppings plus yogurt) and the room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The Ac worked great as well. We would stay here again.

Had such a nice stay, great amenities like transportation, nice indoor pool ( but not sure if the pool was actually salt water pool) small elegant bar and a yummy breakfast. Comfortable bed but best of all was the customer service front desk was very welcoming and did her best to help with getting us the room we could fit in after we had to end up staying an extra day. Oh yeah can't forget a good location with the museum a few short minutes away and restaurants in walking distance.

We have stayed in hundreds of hotels over the last few years. This is a good hotel at a fair price. The positives: friendly staff, quick elevator, guest laundry, clean property and room, close to restaurants, large HDTV with HD signal, good WiFi, comfortable bed, clean linens, quiet room, decent breakfast with attentive staff. The negatives: room dark (could use some additional lighting), bathroom sink and tub drain slowly. Bottom line- you'll have a good nights stay at a fair price.

I have worked in Customer Service for over 30 years and a new job brought me to Dodge City. This is a level of customer service I haven't experienced. I wish I could bottle it and give it to all my employees. This hotel has 3 total superstars 1. Darla! Darla is a the front desk. And if you stay here you want to be her friend. She knows everyone's name. She remembers what everyone did each day and asked questions about their adventures. Not out of obligation, she actually cares what you had for lunch and your favorite part of the Boot Hill Museum. She loves her town and by the end of my week, she made me find great things about it too. Every hotel needs a Darla to greet you when you come back to an empty hotel room after a long day of work!!! 2. Francisco. This gentleman is a man of many talents. He will shuttle you in where you want to go in town. He was helping everyone, taking out trash, going to get dinner for the staff, working the front desk, & helping as a bar back at the bar. He had a smile on his face 100% of the time I saw him over the week. One night, I had a cocktail and didn't want to drive. He offered to run and get me something to eat. I didn't take him up on it. 3. Cindy. Cindy is the bartender and she knows her stuff. The bar doesn't look like much and I really wasn't expecting great cocktails from this place. One night I simply had no opinion on what I wanted to drink. I told Cindy to make me what ever her favorite drink was to make. I totally recommend the Blue Lagoon. Let's just say I will add the photos below! My last night they all three had the night off. The other staff was very nice and I have no complaints. But I kissed the A Team. It wasn't the same. I can't wait to go back and visit again.

I give Darla, the receptionist 5 stars for friendliness, professionalism, genuine caring for customers. She always greeted us with a smile and how are you doing. She recommended restaurants based on our tastes. She was helpful when asked for directions to various places. And offered assistance in our house search. A really nice cozy place. Very good atmosphere. We especially enjoyed visiting with another couple at the bar where Denise does a very good job mixing drinks. Dodge City and the area will have to go on our list of places to visit again. When we do we will certainly stay here.

Had a great stay. Clean and comfortable. Staff were great. Pool water was too cold could not enjoy it but overall was a nice hotel. I would definitely stay here again. Front desk lady was nice and welcoming.

BW has always been our hotel of choice...and we were not disappointed in Dodge City. Our room was clean and spacious. Plenty of good lighting. The breakfast area was clean and the choices for breakfast were excellent.

My husband and I stayed here one night on our way back from Colorado. The hotel is decorated in Western decor. Very nice and clean hotel. Rooms/bathrooms were very clean. The front desk personel were friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel as a great place to stay. This is very close the Boot Hill area, casino, and many places to eat.

My experience was super positive. Kevin at the front desk was wonderful.. The breakfast area was spotless and the food was excellent. My room was very relaxing and comfortable. The location is ideal. Our experience was great. The person at the front desk, Louis Vaquera was very nice and helped a lot. Great locations and very clean. They let us have a late check out which was wonderful so we could all go to church as a family and get back to the room and check out.

Room was large with extra sitting area. Room had external and internal doors (2 doors) (not all rooms have that) It was very windy that night and the wind noise made sleep somewhat difficult. External door weather striping was missing or out of place. Otherwise room was very nice.

Check in was so easy and friendly. The rooms are very clean as are the bathrooms. They even have a bar in the lobby which should not surprise anyone who knows the history of Dodge City. An extremely enjoyable stay.

The location is great, easy access, right on main street of town. Lobby, rooms all nicely Western decorated and well maintained. Very friendly staff and well trained too. Excellent breakfast opened much earlier than the posted 6:00 AM. Overall great and economical.

We were on the last legs of 30+ day road trip through Colorado, returning home thru Kansas and Oklahoma when we decided to stop for the night in Dodge City. It was after midnight when we arrived. The checkin process was quick and easy even using four $10 gift certificates we had earned during our road trip. Sue was our night clerk, she was a breath of fresh air! She changed our room location so it was easy to carry our stuff in and out. We had been driving all day, hadn't ate and all of the restaurants were closed. Sue made sure we didn't go to bed hungry. She also assisted us with the laundry services. She was always helpful and never once grew impatient with what felt like to us a lot of requests. The hotel was clean, updated and the best of all BWs we had stayed during our road trip.

My wife and I made a reservation at this hotel in the heart of the town, expecting an ok room. What we got was much better. (It's always fun to be pleasantly surprised!) The check in was flawless and the room was ready for us early, which we appreciated after our long drive. The room was actually a mini-suite, with a nice bathroom, a living area with a couch and a writing table, and the bedroom area (no door between the rooms.) My only complaint is that the couch was essentially of no use because there was no light in the area. They need to install a floor lamp with some significant illumination to make that area usable. We stayed there a couple of nights and the breakfast each day was good, not excellent. The lady who handled the breakfast was very nice and helpful. The main purpose of our stay was to visit the Boot Hill Museum and this hotel was on the very same street, and only a few blocks down from the hotel. I would very willingly stay at this hotel in the future.

Kevin and Darla were the two managers on duty most of our trip. We booked 7 rooms for 4 nights and they were so good to work with. They truly care about their guests and make sure everything is running smoothly. No one is just a room number at this hotel. They remember your name and treat you like family. Very nice, clean rooms in a great location! We will always stay here!

The staff at this hotel could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Darla checked us in, and also recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner that their free shuttle would take us to, and pick us up, whenever it was convenient for us. Top notch service!

I had booked into another Dodge City motel through internet only to find it was seedy, thread-bare, with an old fashioned TV. I let them charge me for the room, but at a nearby restaurant asked what is the town's best motel. They send me to Best Western Plus. The room was spacious, attractive, with both inside and outside entrances. Most remarkable was the price (about $80) and the breakfast. The most complete morning meal I've ever had in a motel with offerings as varied as a family restaurant. I give them an A+++++

We stayed here on Jan. 4, 2018 on our way down south. It was fantastic. The lobby as well as other public places was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The amount of work that went into the decorating was amazing. Darla at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. She helped us find a really good wood fired pizza called Dodge City Brewing not too far away. The girl serving at the bar was also very friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel is beautiful and has wonderful staff. Breakfast was delicious only down side is, it ends at 9:30am. The rooms are very clean and the beds are super comfy with lots of pillows! This will be my choice of stay every time! You won't regret your stay.

This is the 3rd time I've stayed at this facility while in town on business, and if i wind up in Dodge again, that's where I'll head. Very nice facility, clean rooms, multiple folks were cleaning all day. Staff is very helpful. 2 of my 3 stays, I encountered challenging situations with my reservation (my issue, not theirs), which staff had no obligation to accommodate, but both times they went above and beyond to fix what was really my problem, not theirs. Speaks very well of their customer service.

Great experience, We stayed for two weeks in this location. The staff was great!! Clean rooms, great breakfast, everyone was more than accommodating and friendly! Darla at the front desk was amazing, so were Cindy and Mel the bartenders, and Francisco the shuttle driver were all great as well!!

Customer service is always top notch here. Darla at the front desk always makes sure my needs are taken care of. Cindy is always inviting at the bar which stays open from 5-9pm. Lots of selections to choose from. And franscisco will take you anywhere in their complementary shuttle.

I have never stayed in a hotel that I felt more "at home" in. They have free WiFi, the best breakfast I've seen in hotels, great location, and the staff is as friendly as can be. Darla at the front desk goes out of her way to make your stay comfortable, the rooms are cleaned well, Cindy is the bartender of the year! Louis does a great job as well and is very friendly, and they shuttle you anywhere you ask, thanks francisco. Great gym and pool area!! My favorite hotel of ALL TIME. The room was Great, clean and spacious, while in the room i noticed all the fluffy pillows so on my way to dinner i asked at the front desk if they had any flat pillows, Darla responded, you bet we do and preceded to the the back room and pick me out a flat pillow, now i know that seems like a little thing but she didn't stop there she insisted that i go on to dinner and she would run the pillow up to my room. the next surprise was the fantastic breakfast served, what a spreader, fried eggs, sausage biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, pancakes and more !!!

My wife and I stayed at this Hotel for one night on our road trip whilst travelling from Tulsa to Amarillo. The location is excellent on W Wyatt Earp Blvd within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars for evening entertainment. The rooms are comfortable, and everything is provided, from parking to the excellent buffet breakfast. Our only disappointment for our one-night stay was we didn't have time to sit and enjoy a drink at the lovely bar. Recommended.

I found myself at the above motel over the holidays recently. While I was not expecting a memorable experience being in a motel room over the Christmas season I was wowed by the time I enjoyed. This motel and the staff there made my visit one to remember for Christmas's to come. The decorations were straight off the pages of Country magazine, really! I was blown away in the lobby upon arrival at the feeling of Christmas in the air and only continued to be astounded as I made my way around the motel. Each and every room opened to a new surprise that surpassed the greatest expectations I could have conjured up. It was like Santa Claus's own decorator had been in every common area. Amazing! The room was above my expectations and the service from the staff was superb. What a fine group of employees you have representing your business, city and the local area. The breakfast served was outstanding. Your front desk people are helpful, courteous, friendly, and genuinely caring. Special thanks to Darla for going out her way to make the stay wonderful. I will return again and encourage my colleagues to visit as well. Interestingly enough, I may actually look for a reason to be in the area next year. Totally!!

I prefer Best Western and Drury Hotels when traveling, and booked this hotel on my family's (2 adults, 2 kids, small dog) move west to California. Upon arrival property and lobby were clean, orderly, and in good repair. I was warmly greeted by Darla who graciously answered all of my questions. We got the family inside/settled, brought in bags, and got dinner at the next door IHOP which was ok. Had an issue with closest entrance to our room not opening from outside, which was a minor annoyance. There were only three towels for the four of us, but the Darla hardly provided another. Upon bathtime for the kids we noticed that the shower assembly & faucet was very loose and the shower drain was flow. This was all reported to front desk staff. They offered another room, but we were already settled and into the kiddo bath routine. I'm going to start looking at that first thing in the future. Rest of evening was nice and beds were comfortable. FYI: Apparently a train runs by every night at midnight and blares it's whistle (closest to the front of the building). They leave earplugs in your room due to this. My room was on the backside of the property and I didn't hear a thing. Breakfast was solid with a couple different types of eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy, pancake machine, fruit pasteries, yogurt, dry cereal, etc. The dining room was clean, nicely decorated, and the food was actually really good...better than most. Upon checkout I asked I brought up the maintenance issues and Kevin helped make sure the bill was adequately adjusted. Bottom Line: The staff at this Best Western have buy-in and genuinely care about making things right for the guest. They take ownership of any and all issues and don't pass the buck. This is indicative of their leadership/management. I'm confident the aforementioned issues will be rectified in short order. I would definitely stay there again.

We love that our medium-sized dog can stay with us too! She likes to be in a close to her people so this works out well for us. Two downsides: Weather was so cold we wished there was an extra blanket in the closet without walking to the front desk in the night, and asking for. Also, pool was not warm & kids refused to swim in It (see below for more). This was our 3rd stay as we travel there each Christmas to see family. Last year the glass door in the pool area had the hinge sprung so the door wouldn't close. This year someone had left the glass door to the firepit-grill area, open, so even though the pool was heated you couldn't tell because it was so cold in there. The breakfast was great and I especially was happy to find hard boiled eggs there. The staff has been warm & friendly every time we stay

Appreciate this whole experience! Hotel is very nice, clean, everyone helpful and friendly even on Christmas! Value was good. We tend to stay at Best Western properties because they seem to have good value and this was no exception. Part may have been the points we have built up but always fair and a great experience in Dodge City.

I recently stayed at the best western and I couldn't have been more satisfied. My room was nice and clean and the breakfast was delicious! front desk manger kevin was very professional and took real good care of us. I'll definitely be coming back to stay for my next visit in town!

I love staying at this Best Western. I would like to give Darla a shout out as she is very nice and professional every time I check in and the bartender Cindy when I come down for a cocktail in the evening to the bar/lounge. This hotel is really quaint and decorated so beautifully for the holiday season .. we arrived and were Starving and Right away we were offered cookies .. The front desk clerk Darla was very friendly and accommodating. Everyone in the building greeted us always smiling even the cleaning staff .. the breakfast was what you expected hot and plentiful wished they had bacon.. the other front desk person John was also very nice and was making sure we had a nice stay and expressed his condolences since he found out we were in town for a funeral.. I tell the customer service we received from this hotel was refreshing !!! Everyone seemed to love their job . The hotel offers free shuttle to local restaurants.. it has a bar which is cute but closes at 9pm wish it was open til 11 pm .. upon arrival we didn't like the location of the room and Darla immediately moved us to a different room which was so nice we were so tired from working all day and then driving for 3 hours to dodge .. there was one mishap with the shower in our room the water kept going to freezing Frigid cold in an instant even when I had the nozzle turned all the way to hot water I would have to shut off the water and turn bs k on I would then get hot water then Frigid cold .. my husband called the front desk and John immediately had a new room key and said to use the room next door no questions asked the staff wanted to make it right immediately no other guests had the problem I went ahead and suffered through the shower however my husband would not lol .., And on top of that John the front desk person tried to give us a discount but since we booked it through price line he wasn't able to but asked if they could something for us to make it right !!! I mean wow they were so concerned about our satisfaction.. we declined as we had to head over to the funeral and then afterwards we were heading home .. but I would like to thank the staff for their hospitality and recommend this hotel to anyone who plans on staying in Dodge City (go at Christmas time its decorated so beautifully) this place is great for families like I said it has free breakfast and an indoor pool and hot tub .. we will definitely stay here again !!!

We stayed one night. Had a really nice room. Probably the best sleep we had in a long time. Good pillows & mattress. They had a shuttle that would take you anywhere for a meal or whatever you want to do. Which is super. You don't have to try to find somewhere in a strange City. The pool was very warm and hot tub was very nice. Checking in was so pleasant. The breakfast was the usual fair but good. There was a small bar in the lobby and coffee and cookies. There isn't a bad thing to say about this hotel.very pleasant experience.

We stayed one night on our way back to Oklahoma. Check in was quick and easy. The front desk help was friendly. Our room, 101, was spacious, clean and comfortable. The a/c was quiet but there weren't too many electrical outlets for my various chargers. Plenty of free parking. The room faced the street so there was some noise, but not much. The hotel is easy to get to and into from the street. Our room also came equipped with a microwave and fridge and an interior entry. In the lobby, you can belly up to the bar for a drink after traveling or touring all day. Several restaurants are within walking distance.

I was on a trip with my dad and my uncle, traveling from Seligman Arizona to Des Moines Iowa with a stop in Dodge City Ks. We booked 1 night and were very pleased with the staff and the service… In particular Darla at the front desk was more than helpful, and Brock the manager was very friendly and accommodating. When we decided to stay another night they were able to get us rooms and the service was great thanks to Darla.

Disappointed to see a Best Western Hotel looking like this. Normally they are really nice and comfortable. We heard a dog bark all night. We felt sorry for it. then we heard another dog from a neighboring house answering the barks of the dog in a pick up truck right below our hotel room in the BW parking lot.

I checked in and there was a toilet leak. When I called them, they came immediately and took care of the problem. They fixed the leak and had the mess cleaned up in about 15 minutes. My room was clean and nice. Most often when you stay a couple nights the housekeeping comes in and makes the bed and replaces everything. I am a simple person, I don't need everything done each day. It is just more work for the housekeeper. This stay they made the bed, but left everything else as I wanted it. I did not even leave a note asking for them to do that. The breakfast was very good! They had a nice variety of things to eat and it all tasted good. I am not much of a breakfast person, but this was worth it. I did not bring my laptop this trip, but they had an area where I could get online to check my email. This hotel was close to eating establishments and entertainment and they offered shuttle service if I wanted to go to the casino. I will stay here the next time I am in Dodge City!!! It was a great stay!

Stayed here just one night during a road trip. We were greeted at the front desk by Kevin. He was very charming and organized a lovely room for us with a balcony. The room was very nice. Everything was clean and well decorated. The hotel was just a short distance to several restaurants for an evening meal. We took breakfast in the hotel before we left. The staff member on duty was also very friendly. There was a good selection of food items and those that were cooked were done well. As with many places in the USA when you are looking for a hotel you can find that you have a lot of choice in just a small area. If you find yourself in Dodge City near to this hotel my advise would be to just book straight into here and forget the rest. I am sure you will not regret it.

We stayed in this Best Western in Oct, 2016, it was an excellent choice! It is located on the west side of town, but right in the middle of the things you want to do. Close, but not walking distance, to the casino to the west and to Boot Hill to the east, JuCo and arena to the north. Nice free breakfast selection in the mornings and everything was clean and well kept. Great staff, there were some a minor mix up in the reservations which the front desk was able to correct very quickly. Pool is indoors and very nice with a very warm hot tub and has a nice sitting area just outside the doors. Best parking is behind the hotel, just park on the north, go through the middle door and the elevator is there. If your room is on the east, you can enter through the door on the east and go up the stairs. No door on the west side.

Our first time in Dodge on our way to somewhere else. Was easy to get to & accessible to restaurants. The breakfast was one of the better complimentary breakfasts we've had & staff was friendly & accommodating.

Wonderful staff. They recommended a very fine restaurant and took us there in the shuttle! Very nice room with a walk-in shower--important to elderly guests. This place is well managed! At the end of a very long driving day, the fine restaurant and the handy shuttle service were so very welcome!

located just 3 min by car from the historic district and Boothill Museum and opposite the hotel is an IHOP restaurant but at crossroads. Hotel itself has some Western flair with a bar open during they evening..Rooms are ok and clean but beds were horrible - worn down and I woke every morning with back aches.

I found the Best Western Plus Country Inn & Suites to be clean, comfortable and with an exceptional staff. The décor is fresh and modern. The breakfast includes everything most people would want. I have no complaints at all. We now look for BW Plus Inns when we travel.

Shuttle driver, Franciso, was great. Very pleasant to be around. Took us to the casino then offered to show us where Walmart was, so we could find it the next day. The clerk who checked us in was very helpful and friendly as was the bartender. Loved this place. WIsh I could have stayed longer! The rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. WE had a full breakfast the next morning which was also included in the room charge and it was wonderful.

Stayed at this hotel for my nieces wedding along with a large group of family. Cannot say enough how much the staff went out of their way to make our stay great. From the front desk staff to the breakfast attendant, they showed us lots of western Kansas hospitality. The decor is so nicely done and the rooms were clean and comfy. An overall wonderful stay.

This is a great place to stay. I stay in Dodge City 6 or 7 times a year and this is always the best place to stay. The staff is very friendly and they have a good hot breakfast. They are very easy to find and lots of food places close to hotel. THey even have a shuttle to the casino.

We just checked out of this wonderful establishment. Our only regret is that we could only spend one night here. We chose it based on others' Trip Advisor reviews and while skeptical it could be as good as the reviews, it was! Great staff, big rooms, comfortable bed, entire hotel was super clean, good breakfast, cute bar in lobby, quality toiletries . . . the list goes on. It is obvious that this property is well managed and impeccably maintained. We hope to return someday when we're in the area.

They provide friendly and courteous staff all around. The rooms are great, the beds are comfortable with crisp linens and the bathroom roomy with nice shampoos and soaps. This may be an older hotel converted to a BWP, but it was still nice. We slept well. I did hear one train, but it was in the evening before we went to bed. There were ear plugs provided if needed. It was clean, but it looked like the vacuum didn't work that well. Still I would stay here again.

This is a very attractive hotel with standard modern amenities including a bar. The decor is western-themed with old black and white photographs of long-ago settlers and Indians of the area on the walls. The carpet and upholstery is also western themed, but very subtle so that one still feels as though you are staying in a very modern facility. Excellent breakfast. There is a train that runs next to the hotel, but they provide earplugs. I only heard it once very muffled. Highly recommend.

I am used to a high quality stay at Best Western Plus properties, and this one was right up there. And, Kevin went way beyond the call of duty in helping me correct a mistake I had made on Orbitz. This is a beautiful property and I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

So happy to find such a comfortable refuge for the night. Very large room with great artwork and amenities - beautiful bathroom and tub. Lobby, breakfast room and pool/spa was very inviting. Lots of food options nearby and shuttle service is offered. A great stay!

Great place to stay in Dodge City. The Best Western was clean quiet. Located downtown close to local attractions, places to eat and convenience stores/ gas stations. Everything was in working order and the heating, air conditioning, and ventilation worked great.

This is an awesome Best Western! We were greeted at check in by Brock and he sure makes you feel at home. Our room is large and comfortable with a sitting area and a balcony! Had a great visit with Celeste downstairs at the Long Branch Saloon! Liked this BW so well, decided to stay another night and do some more exploring of the area! This is one of the very best hotels during our 23 day, 16 hotel, trip. The decor is delightful, playing on the history of Dodge City and the many movies and television shows about Dodge. Rooms are large and well appointed. Staff is as good as we have ever experienced. Breakfast was great. Stay at this property; you will not be disappointed.

Good place to stay for visit Boot Hill and also the old town in Dodge City. We had use this hotel in an earlier tour also, so therefor we come back and use it once again. We can recommend this hotel to other people for visit Dodge City

This is the "best" Best Western or hotel that we've stayed at during our trek across country. There was a cute bar in the lobby with a western theme. Photo below. Louis greeted us with fresh cookies and checked us in. A few minutes after we got settled in our room, Louis called to ask if all was OK! It was!! The room was well appointed, clean, comfy. Toiletry items were of exceptional quality. Sue greeted us at breakfast as she assisted patrons. Breakfast buffet served a large variety of goodies, including cranberry juice and five fresh fruit selections. Sausage biscuit gravy was yummy and piping hot. Fluffy eggs, mini-omelets, and potato pancakes rounded out the hot section spread. Check out, a breeze with huge smiles from Kevin and Sue (she gets around). Would most strongly recommend this Best Western for a long or short stay!

I would recommend this particular hotel to the President of the United States. It was that good, spotless and the staff was marvelous. The location is just minutes away from the Dodge City Museum. Also centrally located for restaurants and shopping.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Plus Country Inn and Suites in Dodge City. Every time I stay at this hotel; I always enjoy my stay! Great room, and very comfortable with great western-Dodge City decor. The staff is always very nice and I consider the hotel my home away from home in Dodge City. I just like the place!

It was storming so they let me park my Harley under the covered entrance. Thanks! Desk help was friendly, professional and efficient. Rate was reasonable. Pool nice. Breakfast quite good. They found a lost item I left in the room, so very grateful for that. Room was large, quiet and comfortable.

Just stayed one night quick trip through town lots of restaurants to eat around the place. The staff was great location is good. Do not use the pool or the fitness area but it look nice . Rooms are very clean and the beds are very comfortable

We stayed here after discovering that the Holiday Inn Express was not yet open, and they had failed to tell us that our reservation there was not going to happen. The BW is very nice and seems quite new. The staff is helpful and there are a lot of them. The room was very clean and had a separate room with a sofa. The only thing that was not terrific was the AC as it is right next to the bed and blows on you when sleeping. The shower is a new concept with a smaller opening into it. We chose the hotel as it is fairly close to the historic area and a short drive or walk right down the street. There is an IHOP on the same strip, FYI. The breakfast here was the usual things and very good with pancake maker, breakfast meats, etc. The coffee machine allows you to choose the strength of coffee. They also have a small bar (Longbranch Saloon) off the lobby that sells drinks from 7:00 to 9:00. Bar stools are there. It is a good place to stay and the best for being near history. I only heard one obnoxious train overnight and did not use the gratis ear plugs.

The hotel is convenient to downtown attractions. We travel with our pets... so pet friendly is important! The green space around the location is small. Rooms are spacious and clean! Location can be a bit noisy due to road traffic and trains passing through. Hotel does supply foam ear plugs. Staff is friendly, bar is well stocked, and provides a hot breakfast.

Nice staff Clean rooms and large. Had 2 Queens. Large TV, desk, desk chair, and lounge chair with foot stool. Close to Boot Hill Museum. Would stay again if in the area. Cookies and citrus infused water on the counter.

The staff was very hospitable and the breakfast was great. Scrambled eggs, cut up fresh fruit, hot full body coffee, biscuits and gravy. Room was clean and well stocked. Dog-friendly and parking was close to all entrances. The only downfall did not find a USB port to charge a phone.

Friendly, accommodating and courteous staff. Nice clean quiet room. Within walking distance to dining and shopping. They also have a shuttle service. I would stay here again and recommend to others. I would not recommend the Charro Mexican restaurant across the street.

Sadly, we arrived late, checked in, went up to room and keys wouldn't work. Went back down to front desk to get keys fixed. Went back up, opened door to find another customer already assigned to room. Went back to front desk and the 2 employees there didn't seem to know how to handle the situation. They didn't know what customer was in the room, had to call the room to ask who was in their. Used very poor phone etiquette. We were given another room. The next morning, the receipt under the door was for the customer we had opened the door on. That of course means that he received our receipt. Another trip to front desk to get the correct receipt. At least the 2 employees we encountered then seemed somewhat more concerned about what happened. To add insult to injury, the other customer paid $30 less for the room. Such an embarrassing and disappointing stay. Employees need to be more professional and should offer something to customer in a situation like this. Will not return and will return to favoring Holiday Inn Express.

We had big room with balcony on third floor. On the balcony nice bench to sit. All very clean and well maintained. Helpfull and cheerfull reception people. Nice details like wildwest themed bar. There is pool but didnt see or use it. Good location walking distance from town but the hotel have a shuttle.

We arrived in Dodge City after a 900 mile drive to find the cabin we reserved was not available. Brock was amazing to deal with as was Heather and Diana. They made our stay the highlight of the terrible trip. Brock was so understanding about our situation, and made sure we were comfortable, and in rooms that fit our situation. My husband is disabled, and we have a special needs daughter. Our friends that traveled with us have medical issues as well. Brock went above and beyond to make sure we had suitable rooms, and whatever we might need. The breakfast was wonderful the beds very comfortable, great pool and hot tub, and a nice clean building. The whole staff was great, friendly and helpful. Diana is an amazing young lady, made suggestions to the attractions, and offered any assistance we needed. Heather was very sympathetic to our situation. Sometimes during a stressful situation, all the guest needs to have is someone to listen and understand. These young people are what hospitality is all about We would recommend the BW to anyone that is in the area and in need of an exceptional place to stay. Noisy AC Unit. Could also hear other room units. Loudest of the seven BW properties we stayed at this trip. Breakfast sausage and pancakes were not good. Nice property overall, but the issues impacted this review.

We've just returned from a 6200-mile cross-country trip. This is our 4th cross-country loop that we've taken since we retired, and on this one we completed our goal of visiting all of the lower 48 states. We stay at hotels as we travel, and we have learned what we expect from a basic hotel room, and have used these expectations to rate the hotel rooms where we have stayed. We had a large, clean room, with plenty of comfortable seating. It would have been nice if the couch had been in sight of the tv, but we rearranged the chairs and made ourselves comfortable. There weren't many plugs for us to use to charge our devices, and the wifi was iffy, but everything else was nice. The AC had a hood on it that kept the curtains from blowing. The window opened and there was a fan in the bathroom, so we were able to get ventilation. Best of all, the shampoo and conditioner were in soft, usable containers, not the hard ones we usually find. More hotels should use your supplier!

The staff and service is very friendly! We stay in several hotels for business. Best hotel breakfast I've experienced! Great lounge for relaxing! Clean rooms with quality amenities! Would suggest this hotel to anyone!

This was my second time here and it won't be the last. All of the decor is beautifully matched to a country western theme and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast was very good and the coffee was excellent--there is a coffee machine where people can choose the strength of the coffee, but it tastes fresh and wonderful. The pool area is clean and spacious: great for photo ops with the little one. But best of all, the rooms are huge and beautifully decorated. You have everything you need. I have stayed in both the regular room and the King suite and, either way, my family and I had more than enough space and were wowed with the comfort. The hotel is conveniently located to the Dodge City Museum, restaurants and historical markers. I will definitely be back again!!

Dont miss this hotel the employees is great, clean rooms, great breakfast. Ive stayed at alot of hotels but this one is the best. This Summer of 2017 stayed gone for over 2 weeks vacation went from Ky. To Cal. back to Ky. and this hotel beat any of them we stayed at and is not very expensive

We were so happy with Best Western. We stayed during the Dodge City Frontier Days and the hotel's price was a little higher than a normal stay, about 15%. We were at another hotel in town that priced theirs up 106%. We walked in the lobby and was impressed. My wife even made a comment about the remote being in a bag saying that it was cleaned. Everything was spotless! The manager was very kind and helpful. The entire staff did a great job. The breakfast was so good, we didn't even consider going to the IHOP which sets in front of the hotel off of Wyatt Earp Avenue. I will stay here at this hotel again for sure!

Rooms were very clean. My wife was impressed with the remote control in a baggy telling us it was sterile. The room even smelled clean. We would stay at this hotel again for sure. The location was just behind a IHOP, but the breakfast was so good, didn't have to go there.

We wanted to see Dodge city (which is another story and has really squandered the opportunity to be a great tourist draw). That being said, we checked in to spend the night while on a roadtrip. We picked this hotel because it has a pool and hottub (in an enclosed area which was very nice) . We stayed in a king room with a balcony, which was big and beautiful. The balcony opened onto the mainstreet though and it was too noisy to be out (of course it was also Oklahoma in July so the temp didn't encourage that either). We were suspicious when we saw ear plugs on the desk (Issued by hotel) and sure enough, starting every 2 hours from 2:20 am on , a train came through town blowing its whistle -maybe 10 times every time... if you are a light sleeper Dodge may be out for you-I don't see how you can avoid the sound , it seems to permeate the town.Our room was clean and neat and contained a refrigerator. I used the hot tub , but for me the indoor pool was still too cold ( but I have low blood pressure and I imagine most people would have found the pool refreshing). Diana at the desk checked me in and was multitasking. She also managed to re-supply the towels in the pool area while running the hotel--She was pleasant and happy and a people person--good person to have on a busy night. The hotel had a western décor that I really liked and made me feel as if I was in the cowboy capital of the US-kudos to the interior design (even had a little Long Branch saloon in the lobby-I don't drink-but it was good for the ambiance).

I am torn about this review as the room was very nice but the price was high to me. I paid 175 after taxes. The room was very clean and nice. Couch, sitting area. Everything was clean. The bed was not as comfortable as I had hoped. The air conditioner was the main problem. When we walked in it was set on 65 and I should have known because it wasn't that cold in the room. I got hot during the night. It cut on and off frequently. We were on the first floor and it was quite noisy outside but the hotel cannot help that. Lots of loud motorcycles. There was an outside door to the room that after you came in through the lobby you could take off the safety latch and come and go through the outside door. Never seen that before. I just thought for the money it was a little lacking. Staff was nice. Coffee was good. Didn't eat breakfast there

from making reservations to arriving at the front desk, we were treated as if we were the only guests and we were special. The staff is awesome, the room are remarkably decorated and clean, the accommodations are second to none. You cannot go wrong here, you will wish it was home!

The front desk personnal was very nice and pleasant. Louie shuttled us to town and quickly came and got us when we called, with a smile. Meet the owner as we were leaving and appreciated his kindness.

We were only there for one night but we were exceptionally pleased both with service and appearance of BW. Rooms were clean and spacious. Personnel were very helpful and accommodating. Beds were comfortable. Shuttle driver was on time with pick-up and very friendly. We would definitely recommend this BW to our friends.

Excellent facility. We found this very clean and a great agent at the front desk. We made our reservations while traveling by car and the guy at The front desk went beyond the call to help us a guide us in.

We were in Dodge City as tourists and decided to stay at Best Western plus Country Inn because we had a membership points club with them. We were greeted by the manager, checked in quickly, given a very nice room with a sitting area and introduced to the small bar they had in the lobby. After getting settled in we were ready for the Boot Hill Museum, dinner and show. They took us and picked us up in the shuttle, which was great because I was tired to listening to my Magellan for directions. Room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good. We were given other suggestions of things to see/do while we were in the area.

This BW had the decor match their location. Fun western decor was all over the hotel celebrating the Dodge City western history. Food was good at breakfast and we enjoyed being so close to the Boot Hill Museum.

We did have a problem with fireworks being set off on the 4th of July. Even thought it was in the parking lot next door, they were shooting them at the Best Western. But, the issue was resolved after several Phone calls.

This was the best stay out of the several hotels we stayed at on our road trip! We stayed the 3rd and 4th of July. The room was clean, comfortable and really large for a standard size room. The decor is Western - and I would have expected nothing less for a hotel in a town steeped in Old West History. There is an IHOP right in front of the hotel but who needs it!! The complimentary breakfast offered by the hotel greatly exceeded my expectations and was FANTASTIC! They had scrambled eggs with diced ham, hashed browns, omelettes, pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, pastries, cereal and more. I guarantee that you will not start your day hungry! Let's talk about the staff - All employees that I encountered - each and every one of them were knowledgable and exceedingly friendly. I wish I could remember all of their names, but I remember Natalia was responsible for cleaning our room, then there was Joel and Louis. For the employees I may have forgotten - forgive me- you were great! Bottom line - you can go wrong with a room at the Best Western Plus Country Inn. Best hotel in Dodge City!

Clean, nicely decorated the staff was great and very accommodating. Beds were comfortable. Will definitely stay there again and recommend them to others. Loved the outdoor patio with grill and fire pit.

I called to hold 14 rooms for a 12 and under baseball team and Kevin was very helpful in accommodating the team. He and his staff made it very easy to call in and transfer the reservations from my name to each individual reservations. Kevin and his staff were very nice and helpful. Definitely will be staying there again.

I came in late at night, on the Fourth of July, and there were fireworks going off EVERYWHERE. I was on the top floor, and when I got to my room, was pleasantly surprised at how quiet the room was, regardless of the huge noise happening right outside. The room was spacious and clean.

So many minor issues it can't be a coincidence. The worst is the shower built for short people only and the stinging showerhead. Clean and friendly, but not worth the price. Charged for safe we didn't use. Cockroach in bathroom. Iron discolored clothes.

Our stay was awesome from the very beginning. Kevin at the front desk was professional and helpful. He suggested an excellent restaurant in the area. Our room was clean, well stocked with towels and other amenities. WiFi was strong. Breakfast was great! This was our last night of a 9 day motorcycle trip from Okla to Yellowstone.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times since it opened. We have never had a bad experience. Everyone appears to be very well trained and does an excellent job. We look forward to making this annual trip to visit family in the area, and a big part of our experience is staying at the Best Western Country Inn in Dodge City, Kansas.

Our stay at Best Western Plus in Dodge City was a great experience. The room was beautifully furnished in a ranch style decor. I really liked that you could access the room from the parking lot or from inside the building. We were provided with everything we needed for a comfortable stay including a real breakfast which included sausage, eggs, waffles and almost anything else you could want for breakfast.

Upon check in front desk clerk was courteous & helpful, room was very nice & clean, we were on a motorcycle pulling a trailer & wanted to go to the local casino without getting back on the bike so we took Uber there, great getting there, However, at 11:15 we were ready to leave & NO Uber cars available. Casino called taxi for us supposed to be there in 10 mins, 35 mins later called again, said on the way, at 12:15 I called the hotel to see if they had any other options spoke to Sue at the front desk she said if she took my number and said she would call back if we didn't show up within 10 minutes Sue called back and had a ride for us, she actually had a ride for us..so thankful for her going the extra mile to get us back then gave us late check-out since we were so late getting back period would definitely stay here again

The staff was very friendly. The rooms where clean and quite. There was several restaurants in walking distance and several things to do. This hotel seam to be in a safe area. I would recommend this place to stay again

OK, so I don't stay at Best Western hotels as much as I used to as their quality just seemed to start going down hill. Add a new sign, change the name, but same old same sold. However, this hotel is a very nice place to stay and worth considering. PROS: For starters it is right off the main highway, easy off and easy on. Just a couple minutes away from the heart of Dodge City. The staff was very friendly. I had just driven 4 hours, was very tired, hungry and just wanted to get some rest. It was refreshing to be greeted with a friendly personality. They offered a couple places in town to eat and was informative on how long it would take me to get where I needed to go in the morning. The room was a bit larger, I suppose than your average sized room, but it is newer hotel as well. The one I stayed in had nice little kitchenette. CONS: None really. In Summary: If you find your self in Dodge City and are looking for a nice place to stay at a reasonable price, then give this Best Western a try.

We had a celebration of life for my parents whose remains are at the nearby Fort Dodge Veterans Cemetery. I explained to Kevin that we were going to have a celebration of life and a reunion of loved ones and that we wanted to cater a lunch and have 25-35 people attend. Kevin and Diana made sure that our room accommodations and the meeting room for our Celebration were ready and any needs that we had were met. The rooms were spacious and clean. The location in Dodge City was good for access to highways, restaurants and stores.

Heading home from East Texas and driving most of the day we were ready for a break before starting our final leg of our trip. We were very pleased with the room, the hot tub and pool area and the overall facilities. This was exactly what we were needing!

So comfy and nice. My room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable, I had a restful nights sleep. The staff was very professional and very helpful. I will definitely stay at Best Wester Plus County Inn & Suites again!!!!

This was a wonderful weekend. From the time we checked in until the time we checked out, the entire staff was accommodating. We were in Dodge City for our son's wedding, all of our family was from out of town so we all stayed here. The wedding party and most of the out of town guests stayed here as well. We used the meeting room for the rehearsal dinner. The staff was wonderful, helpful, allowed us to use their refrigerator, grill and even helped us do some dishes!! The air conditioner quit in one room and at 2:00am, they assisted us with a room change. I truly appreciated the way we were treated and will definitely stay here again!! Brock, Kevin, Sue and Diana went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure that we had a great stay. Johnny, the bartender, was fun and made excellent drinks for the dinner! Thank you for making us feel at home!!

Love this hotel! They treat us like long lost friends. The renovation seems to be in full swing. We are excited to see the updates in our next visit. We love the fitness are and wonderful breakfast as well.

Newly updated all-suite hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Located near Boot Hill and the theatre in the train station, right behind the IHOP restaurant. Was here for a family wedding and everything went smoothly.

Very nice facility and close to the round up arena. Rooms and halls were very clean. Bed was a little lumpy but tolerable. The breakfast was tasty. Food was presented well, very warm if it needed to be and the variety was good.

Even though the hotel had many vacant rooms we were initially assigned a room with plastic covering the window and noise from stucco and paint renovation. Why place customers on that side of building? We had to request a change and then move. Thoughtless and inconvenient. We forgot our iPad charger and called the next day to see if it was turned in. There was very little cooperation to try to retrieve it by the staff. No help at all. Breakfast is substandard!

This hotel was beautiful and comfortable. We loved the "cowboy theme!" We love staying at Best Western Hotels, they are always very nice, clean and comfortable. They are our #1 choice of hotels. I don't like taking chances when staying at hotels and I'm never disappointed with Best Western. And who can beat free breakfast?

Our room was clean with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, good coffee in the packages in the room (and at breckfast), extra towels. Had a good bed with warm covers as it good pretty stormy outside. Had lightning and rain but the inside of the building was warm. The breckfast was hot and had a good variety.

Dodge City is built into the side so a hill. The east end has a huge stockyard and when the wind and weather is right you will get a taste and smell of frontier living. This hotel thankfully is fairly close to the center of town and just west of the tourist trap called Boot Hill and old Front Street, which places this past the olfactory stimulus of the stockyards. The building sits perpendicular to the Wyatt Earp thoroughfare which is a semi loaded ribbon on concrete. Those whose rooms are closest to the lobby, might want a room further back (north) for peace and quiet. This is the first hotel I found with a saloon style bar directly across from the registration/check in desk. Perhaps a tribute to Dodge City's past where is was known as America's wickedest city. You won't waste any time dousing down that traveling road dust to wet your whistle here. The hotel recommended "The Station" for a good steak dinner. (It's the old train station building.) Unfortunately this was near the stockyards. I lost my appetite when I got a wrong whiff of what I wanted to eat. Closest I've come to going vegan. Ugh! So much for the cowboy lore, on to the plumbing problem. Been to a lot of hotels and seen a lot of "irregularities". Being a former building inspector I tend to "see" more than the average tourist. For example, if a two handled faucet is used, one expects the cold on the right and the hot on the left. On a properly plumbed job the right handle is the cold and is opened clockwise and closed counterclockwise. The opposite for hot. A lot of hotels screw this up and it is a simple matter of turning the valve stem around. Well, this hotel has a modern single handled faucet. Guess what...yep...done backwards. Lift and push right...hot...push left...cold. Waited a long time for hot water and wasted a lot of cold before I figured this one out. Dang instructions must have been tough to follow. I heard sledgehammering and sawing in the room next door being remodeled, which thankfully ended at 9 PM, so maybe they were in a rush to finish our room. I forgot to write down the number but I think it was about 318-320 on third floor middle of the floor. Too many cowboys, not enough professional plumbers. All other amenities were great. Didn't use pool or spa. Fine breakfast. Would use again. Parking lot a tad tight. Easier to enter off 14th street than Wyatt Earp Blvd. Faint train whistle at night was a nostalgic touch. Nice climb aboard steam locomotive for kiddies to climb around in Boot Hill parking lot. Super helpful staff got us our maximum discounts and rewards points.

The Hotel is clean. The sleep quality was good, with comfortable beds and quiet rooms. The front desk clerk was very helpful and the staff was always friendly and greeting the family. The facility was well maintained and very clean everywhere in the public areas. Prices are reasonable with rooms around $100 per night. Parking is ample and access is easy. The breakfast was hot and very good for this type of Hotel. There is an IHOP restaurant next to the Hotel. We will be back when traveling through the area.

Sometimes you come across a hotel that simply stands out above and beyond others you have stayed at. Since I stay at a different one each week for business I have a good idea of what is execeptional.This hotel is EXCEPTIONAL. From check in to houskeeping this hotel's accomodations and service are both exceptional. You first step into a wonderful western atmosphere with a working bar no less open at 5 PM. The front desk staff not only appear professional they act it as well. I was waited on by Diana who was very accomodating to my needs. The rooms are large so you don't feel crammed up. Many offer a balcony option which you can go out on to enjoy the cool nights or just leave a little open for night air. Nice extra large cable TV with so many options to choose from including HBO. They sanitize the remotes and the guide is easy to use. Plenty of pillows and heavier bath towels. Nice amentities that I actually used. So often hotels will cut here and I end up buying shampoo at the drug store. The breakfast was the Super Exceptional. Grape juice option with real fried eggs option and other things to go with them. The breakfast room is staffed. The nicest touch was the paper at each table. So often I want to read one at breakfast but forget to bring it or pick it up. What I also liked was the TV turned to weather. Sometimes in the morning I am just not ready for cable politics and appreciated the weather channel. Parking is good and to top it off there is a I HOP next door if you want an elaborate breakfast. You just can't go wrong if you need a business hotel, or a wonderful tourist stop that also will allow pets for a small fee. This hotel is Exceptional and I should know.

Our stay was overall excellent! From the time we walked in to check in to our room, our 6 night stay, breakfast, our room, balcony & all the staff, we couldn't have asked for a better place to call home! Thank you all!

Stayed at the Best Western on Wyatt Earp. I always stay there when visiting family in Dodge City. The hotel is very nice, breakfast always good, and hot tub always hot. I always request one of the rooms with a balcony as I like to sit out there to watch sundown and read my paper with coffee in the morning. I always recommend this hotel to anyone staying overnight in Dodge City.

I stayed two nights at the Best Western in Dodge City, Kansas. I had a rough night so I went down to the bar to have a couple of drinks and the bartender Johnny completely turned my night around, he was very welcoming, and upbeat. Best western needs more employees like him.

We were on a western trip an looking for one night. This Best Western Plus was very nice and similar to other Best Western Plus locations, it was sold out the night we were there. We did have a couple of issues with our room, the AC did not work, but is was cool outside, so not a major issue. Also, we were in a room next to the elevator, there was some kind of motor that kicked in when the elevator moved, really noisy. I mentioned this to the manager at checkout and he adjusted the bill. I was very satisfied.

Traveling home from visiting family we wanted to get down the highway a bit further then the original motel we were going to stay at, we decided to call this motel and see what they had available. Well looking at the travel sights on the phone we decided to call here thinking that we were just getting a room at about $89.00. When we got there we wound up staying in a suite, (first for my mother and I). The suite was really nice. The only draw back was that it looked like a previous customer had fallen onto the heater/AC unit and broke the plastic cover and a piece of the cover had fallen into the heater motor and made one heck of a racket when used SO we unplugged it. (we did get a little bit off our bill for the inconvenience of no heater). They have a pretty good complementary breakfast that was better then most. We did have a bit of a sticker shock as the final bill AFTER what they took off for the bad heater was still north of $130.00, BUT if you have that money it is a great room for relaxing or entertaining friends or family.

While checking out Route 66 and finishing up with a few Western Cow Towns and Presidential hometowns we were lucky enough to stay in Dodge City. The staff was beyond courteous and attentive, even the maintenance personnel were genuinely pleasent. The November date meant the Western decor which is done in excellent taste and fits perfectly in a town made famous by Wyatt Earp and Matt Dillon, was added to with great Western holiday additions that made the place seem very special. Desk staff and room staff were excellent as was the breakfast room and its personnel. All in all a great find in Dodge

Reserved multiple rooms for a football team, parents, and community members. Everything was great, staff was excellent and helped in a variety of ways. If we are lucky enough to come back to Dodge, we will be going back.

Enjoyed the stay here very clean and neat. The staff members were also nice and polite. Good for family and friends or even a get together I hop isn't even 100feet away nor is the gas station. Thank you

Had an amazing stay at the hotel. breakfast was delicious! The front desk guy with a beard was so nice and helpful. loved that we were close to all the restaurants in dodge city. Only thing that went bad was the bar. The bartender Lance seemed lazy and the counter smelt like old moldy rags. he had his feet on the bar while i was enjoying my wings didnt enjoy that. Other then that it was a very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay here again but wont visit the bar

You will find a friendly and professional staff here. This is a clean hotel with large, comfortable rooms. We did not visit the pool, but it looked good would stay here again if ever in Dodge City We enjoyed the option of a shuttle to any Dodge City location during our stay. We can not think of any negative, except perhaps the lack of a restaurant on site. There were a large variety of options available nearby.

Wonderful place to stay, the employees were friendly and Tim was full information for us.Rooms were clean and a very good breakfast. We were here for 5 days and enjoyed our stay, It was close to down town to site see and the restaurant. Thank you for making our trip great.

A wonderful western-themed hotel in Dodge City, Kansas. Convenient to Boot Hill Museum, Walk of Fame, restaurants, a small bison herd, a huge cattle feed lot campus, a restored 1880's fort, prairie wagon trails from the 1880's, and more. A good base for a two-day trip into western history.

This hotel is well placed for Dodge City sightseeing. We had a a large and clean room. Check-in and check-out were efficient. The room did not have many electrical outlets and the staff told us they are planning on fixing that. Our tub did not drain well and the shower head is mounted very low on the wall, so anyone over 5 feet 6 will be challenged. Staff were friendly, especially Tim.
