Best Western Plus Cobourg Inn & Convention Centre

Stayed during a daylight savings time weekend. Lost an hour as check out was still 1100 even though it was technically 1000. Mentioned this to front desk and was answered rudely as to how we don't make the rules. Tub was dirty with a brown substance. Rinsed off easily but still gross. Very average stay at a very dated hotel. The restaurant on the other hand, was fantastic. Great food,service and hopping live music. This great pub definitely doesn't belong in this relic.

I've been to the Cobourg Best Western a few times. Every time checking in was fast and easy. The rooms were always spotless. The attached pub is really nice. The best part for the kids is the pool. It's just perfect for kids. Lots of play area and no deep end. I bring my grandkids yearly on their birthdays for a little getaway

This place without a doubt has the cleanest rooms I've had the pleasure of staying in. The meals in Arthur's Pub are both delicious and reasonably priced. The front desk staff are both professional, knowledgeable and efficient ! I would highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here for a hockey tournament. Overall great place to stay. The front desk staff when we checked in and out were rude and we seemed to be putting them out but other than that a great experience. The pool and hot tub were great and all the kids had fun.

We arrived without a reservation as we needed to stay over after visiting a friend in hospice. The receptionist had a room for us and offered a special rate because of our situation. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel and were very pleased with both. We are seeing our friend again tomorrow and will be staying there again.

We booked with a small group of young female figure skaters. The staff were not accommodating, did not assist us with basic requests, and some hotel staff were extremely rude. Rooms are dated, but clean, pub was slow, but good. Not consistent with other best western stays I have had.

Spent the night here on Christmas Eve. I decided to treat myself to a room with a king bed, Jacuzzi tub, and a fire place. The hotel is a bit dated but well maintained. The staff were super friendly and someone was there to help me right away when I checked in. We loved the pool. It's a great hotel pool for kids and has lots of fun water features. The fitness room was reasonably well equipped and the equipment all seemed to be in good working order. All in all I had a nice stay here and it wasn't bad for what you're paying.

Wonderful Staff, Food great. Extremely clean.Location excellent lots of stores, Malls, and movie theatres. The grounds are kept clean. The bedroom is awesome and the bed for sleeping is great Great beach very clean. Close to 401 for traveling. Right now the Christmas decorations are beautiful.

stayed for tournament great rate, hotel at very nice pool and splash area for toddlers as well excellent resturant we ate twice there no complaints. They even upgraded us free bigger room. beds were comfy

Called front desk to complain about dog barking for about one hour. Desk said they would look into it. No improvement for 1/2 hour after call. Contacted desk, was advised they didn't have a chance to look into it yet, and was reminded that this was a pet-friendly hotel. I didn't realize that pet-friendly meant there was no consequence to a guest whose dog barked in the room for about 2 hours, If a kennel is where you would like to sleep, stay here, there is no expectation of a quiet, night's sleep or to receive respectful, timely customer service.

My stay was excellent, though there was a booking error that threatened to destroy my whole weekend. The staff was receptive to my needs, professional, and quickly fixed the problem and removed all the stress. The restaurant at BWT Cobourg has excellent food and staff, and is overall what I consider to be world class. Super good!!

Stayed 2 nights with friends. A very handy location, close to everything and downtown shopping. Wonderful pub on premise. Very well maintained property, rooms immaculate and staff very friendly and helpful. A great mini break with friends, and would definitely return.

I used the online advanced check-in function, which accomplished nothing. I still had the same desk registration routine - no time saved. I requested a very specific room, but despite checking in at 4 to a fairly quiet hotel, was given a different room. I didn't request a move, so don't know if they would have accommodated me. The hot tub was broken again. Having said all that, we'll go back again - it is a pretty good hotel in a handy location. Pretty quiet despite being on a busy intersection.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel while visiting family. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We got to spend some time in the pool which we had all to ourselves. The hotel is reasonably priced.

Very clean, comfortable and great staff. The restaurant Arthurs Pub serves amazing food and excellent staff.Will definitely use this Hotel on any future trips to Cobourg. A small fridge , and coffee maker is a bonus.

Terrific hotel with helpful staff, very clean rooms, a great pool. It's not luxury and the decor is dated but it's super clean and we love it. We will always stay here when we go to Cobourg. This is our third time.

Surprisingly good stay! We only stayed one night, but found this hotel to be very pleasant. The hotel is a bit dated, but rooms are very spacious and well appointed. We booked a "1 king, 2 double room" which turned out to be a massive 2-bedroom suite, with two closed bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable. Service is friendly, and pub downstairs lovely.

I enjoyed yet another stay in this great and clean property. Comy beds, clean and very friendly staff. I will always stay here when traveling through the area. They never fail to deliver great service and the restaurant is great. Prompt service and friendly staff - Thanks to Brad and team!

Second time we have used this hotel - with 7 years in between, however was met with the same welcome and level of service we were all that time ago. Easy to find from either the 401 or the 2, depending on what way you are passing through Cobourg. Large car park on both sides of hotel and depending where your room is allocated, they advise you where is best to park as numerous entrances/exits you can use. We were given a massive room, probably the largest we have every stayed in. No real reason for it, might just be a quirk of the design of the hotel as it is strangely shaped in places! Also has a small balcony. Room had everything you would need and was of a good standard. Bathroom was well appointed also. Only downside for this hotel is that it doesnt offer breakfast, however there is a restaurant attached and numerous food options across road nearby so not really a major issue. Only used for a one night stay to break up a long journey from East Ontario to West, but would used again.

Great value for your money. The rooms were furnished nicely and looked to be recently refurbished. Everything worked well shower, sink, toilet and air conditioner. Lighting was good and we liked the screen door walk out for easy access. Location was great.

Room was clean and modernized. Beds are very soft. Friendly staff. Great on site pub with fun atmosphere and big portions. Nice pool facility especially for families. Parking is included and the hotel is close to McDonald's and Tim Hortons. Exactly the type of reliable stay I have come to expect from BW hotels.

100% recommend staying here. Staff are extremely Friendly and it is evidently clear that customer service is their focus. This hotel is very well run, organized and prepared for people to stay. The rooms are super clean and up to date. I highly recommend this hotel!

Staff were very accommodating to a large sport group! Expectations were clear and everything was prepared to share upon check in. Setting up our reservation was smooth and effortless with link provided. Our rooms were all clean and staff were pleasant and made sure we had everything we needed. The restaurant was accommodating for large groups as well! Great food! We have used this hotel for the same group of players/parents and will def use again if we are in the area!!

Went for a company event, the front desk staff was very organized, very quick check-in, able to get into the room early, as it was ready when we arrived around 2:30. Everything was great, staff very friendly and helpful, food was yummy, hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend!

I usually love staying here at least 4 times a year, the restaurant on site is great, the staff is always awesome. But this time they gave me a room with a Murphy bed! It was the most uncomfortable mattress I have ever felt (no rooms to switch because of the hockey team). Also right by the pool that was used by an entire hockey team who were noisy in the hallway right up until 11:30pm (until I complained). All in all a very disappointing stay! You really should look at your policy regarding teams staying in your hotel.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. As a Diamond member I really appreciate the staff making your stay as best as possible. Even when I had a problem with my Fireplace in the room, Brad the owner came in and tried to fix it. Whenever I have to be in Cobourg I would not stay anywhere else then the Best Western Plus. I also rate very high in the hotel that the room are equipped the porcelain cups and glasses and not just plastic. This shows me how environmentally conscious this hotel is. Unfortunately, breakfast is not included or a discount for diamond members in the restaurant. Food at the restaurant is good and the atmosphere is nice.

When working away from home, it is always nice to come back to a smiling face and the staff here are always smiling. They treat you like family and always go above and beyond to make your stay is comfortable and stress-free.

Our experience at Cobourg best western was very enjoyable, the room was a good size and very clean. Check in was quick and friendly. The restaurant serves very good food. Nearby is a lot of shopping. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

Drove through Coburg after coming back from overseas and stayed here again. The hotel is still very well kept and operated with friendly staff. Definitely recommend this property and they also have a vety nice bar/restaurant/pub. Great food and friendly service - made me feel very welcome. Highly recommend!

I have been coming to this hotel for years, and the pool is really nice. Children love the pool and its fun. room was spacious and staff was very pleasant, especially Andrea. Housekeeping and maintenence were also professional and helpful.

We stayed here for a night before a hockey tournament. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The pool was great and the attached pub was very convenient. The restaurant served food late at night which was helpful. The staff allowed me to check out 30 minutes late, as I had a 9 week old baby with me. This made my entire day manageable!

Staff was excellent from the moment we arrived. King bed room was clean, modern and well equipped and larger than we expected. Room was also very quiet - again a plus.TV and wifi also worked very well which is a plus as we generally get very bad wifi at other hotels. Used the restaurant (Arthur's Pub) on site and were very pleased with both our dinners and breakfasts. Food was delicious, hot, plentiful, well priced and served by friendly attentive staff. all in all an excellent stay. Would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed overnight in a queen room on the second floor. It was a decent size and very clean. Bathroom and amenities were good. Arthur's Pub was good. The pasta dish I had was fantastic. The shrimp were large not like some places. My husband said his Rueben sandwich was the best he had ever had. Great place to come, stay and enjoy!

Accommodations were greatl. The conference room was the right size for our group of nineteen to socialize, talk, take care of business and play silly games. During the day some of our group took in the sights of Cobourg.

First time at this hotel. The presence of an attached restaurant/pub was a great amenity. Didn't use the pool or the fitness room but they both looked well equipped. The fact that it was a short distance off the 401 was a plus. Was able to get on and off with no difficulty.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Best Western in Cobourg. It was exceptionally clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was also very clean and the pool area was bright and attractive.

room was not cleaned while we were away, no tv schedule, room next door was noisy, bed and pillows were not comfortable. compared to our previous stay this was not anywhere nearly as good very disappointing

The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. The front desk staff were awesome! They were very friendly and helpful. It was a bonus to have a restaurant on site. We didn't have time during our stay to use the pool so I cannot comment on that.

Always clean, always friendly, great rooms for 5-6 family members. Pool area makes the kids happy. Too bad an included breakfast isn't a thing at this location, but as they own the attached restaurant, I get why.

Great hotel in general but especially if you have young kids that like to swim. Comfortable clean rooms. My kids really wanted to stay for another night. We are already planning to come back again in the next few months.

Overall stay was very satisfying. We had a wonderful stay with very professional staffs from Customer Service to Room Service. We stayed at Best Western Plus in Cobourg. It's very accessible to Eats, Bar, Lakes and other tourist spots. Will definitely come back or recommend to the family!

It's a great hotel and location to stay at. Stayed at it previously when my son was younger and the pool area is awesome. Unfortunately this time there was a travelling hockey team that didn't seem to be well monitored. Couldn't use the pool because it was chaos (the whole reason why it was booked), and the noise/banter/running and stomping up and down the hallway was so unnecessary. I had to confront them myself as there was only one staff on hand in the evening when I kept calling multiple times to complain.

Room was large and generally clean. Had one small issue and it was quickly taken care of. A great place for rest. Very good restaurant. Friendly staff. Since it was a long weekend it was quite busy. Pool has kids water amusements. A family friendly environment.

We had a family wedding there this past weekend and everything was almost perfect. The food was amazing and the conference room was the perfect size. Just remember if you book this room for a wedding you cannot have a DJ or dance and the bar in the hotel closes at 11pm.

Just stayed 1 night. Very clean hotel and very clean rooms. Great service! Would recommend to all I know. Easy to find off the 401 Paid much more for other hotels on my travels and this hotel was the best!

We stayed in this hotel during a family member's illness and after her passing. The staff in all areas, front desk, restaurant and housekeeping that we encountered were all just lovely to deal wiht. The kindness we experienced was so appreicated at a difficult time.

Always helpful staff, free parking and wifi. Ideal location right by the movie theater, stores, and restaurants--or drive for 5 minutes and you're downtown! Great amenities include a swimming pool, hot tub, and exercise room. Having Arthur's Pub on-site is a welcomed bonus!

Great Stay in This Hotel. Not welcomed and not greeted nicely by the Front Desk after long hours of drive but the Housekeeping and other Staffs are all friendly. The floor on the pool area is non slip which makes really sense. The pool is great for all ages! Definitely coming back here!

Room very comfortable and clean more than expected. Exceptional services was from the front desk to the restaurant staff and entertainment. We even had a lovely chat with housekeeping as we passed her, she made sure to ask if we needed anything. Highly recommend for children or family get togethers the pool is awesome.

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There is plenty of parking available. We had dinner at the restaurant attached, which was welcome & easy after a long day of travelling. The food & drinks were good too! Staff were friendly and inviting. My only compliant was that we had low water pressure for the shower in the morning.

Great spot to getaway. Staff go above and beyond. Fun times at Arthur's Pub with live music. Food was excellent! Our room like the rest of the property was spotless and very comfortable. Unfortunately the pool wasn't open but we were okay with that and understand the reasons. Next time we visit we will be able to use it.We will be back again.

This hotel is exceptional. Very clean rooms and the dinner theater was awesome. It was a bonus to have Arthur's pub as well, we had breakfast there and the food was very good. I would definitely go back again.

Stayed here to attend a wedding in the area. Really nothing significant to complain about as rooms were clean and the building was in well kept shape. Nothing out of the ordinary in the rooms, but they do have a small fridge and safe for convenience. Hot water takes a little bit to get then set at a decent temp in the shower. Check in was fairly quick including going through the safety protocols. They have Arthurs pub on site for food, which has a small patio also. Beer was cold. A couple of apps that we had were so so, and very salty. They take a $200 deposit on your credit card at check in and if opting for drop off check out, they email you the bill. (didn't get it) A little pricey for the location, but that seems to be the norm right now. Oh and the beds were ok (7/10 on a comfort scale)

Everything was easy, I asked for a modification and they did it no problem. Kind and caring service very welcoming. Clean and safe. The bed was so comfortable I slept in. I travelled alone and felt safe.

Nice room spacious and clean. Lots of rooms and decent restaurant inside. Location isn't too bad but not real close to downtown core. Good water pressure and comfortable bed. Lots of outlets in the room and a small bar fridge. Overall happy with stay

A convenient place to stay while at the games especially since their excellent restaurant is attached to the hotel. No need to drive around looking for a place to eat and only a few steps back to the room after drinks.

I had very few, minor complaints about this hotel, so i'll get them out of the way first: As of Sept 2021 the pool was closed & drained, i'm assuming due to Covid. However, we've stayed at multiple hotels in Ontario over the past month and they have since opened their pools safely. Unless there's a local bylaw preventing it, I wish it had been opened, especially considering that it doesn't appear our $ rate was lowered to compensate for the lack of pool. Also, if you look at their website right now, it still lists that it has a pool and does not say anything about the pool being closed. That being said, I won't let it affect my rating because I realize it's a pandemic and they're likely not the only hotel doing this. I'm more including this in my review in case other travelers were wondering. The second issue is more meant to be constructive feedback as apposed to a complaint: I noticed the housekeeping staff were vacuuming the hallways just past 9am even though many of the rooms still had "do not disturb" signs on their doors. Since checkout isn't until 11, it's not unreasonable to think that people may be sleeping at that hour. No big deal to me, but they may want to hold off a little longer. That's my 2 cents. Now onto the good stuff. Speaking of the housekeeping, everyone that we encountered in the hallway were noticeably very warm and friendly. We also saw quite a few of them, which leads to me believe they do a pretty thorough job. That was also evident in our room. Very clean. Even in the corners, it was noticeably clean. It appeared to be well maintained too. Things that a lot of hotels overlook such as caulking were in great shape. I would like to pass on to the housecleaning and maintenance department that those things don't go unnoticed! The room wasn't overly big, but it did the job just fine. It looks fairly modern. It has a small mini-fridge. I didn't notice any USB plugs, but I can't say for sure there aren't any since I didn't spend a lot of time looking for them. They had and extra blanket and pillows nicely labelled and packaged neatly in the drawers. I'm not sure if this was just because we had a pull-out couch or if all the rooms have this. In addition to paper-cups, they also had a few real glasses which is a nice touch. The rest of the hotel property was on par with the room. Clean, up to date. Friendly check-in people etc. I'd stay here again for sure.

This hotel was perfect! Hotel was really clean and people were really nice! The restaurant was great too! Try it's special burgers! Strongly recommended! If I wanna go again this hotel will be my first choice!

We called the hotel a few days before asking if we could check in early for my nieces wedding. They said they would try but no promises. We arrived at 2 pm and the room wasn't ready. I could not freshen up before the wedding and was forced to change into my suit in the lobby bathroom ( very unpleasant to say the least. I finally checked in after midnight, only to be greeted by a very rude and unsympathetic desk clerk. My daughter arrived back from the wedding at 1 am and the very same desk clerk gave her a hard time because she wasn't registered on the guest list. I realize that most people want early check in and it's not possible to accommodate all but when blocks of rooms are reserved for wedding guests you would think that special priority would be given to them so they can arrive at the ceremony on time and not be forced to change in a dirty bathroom stall!!!! I would never recommend the Cobourg Best Western to anybody needing a hotel in the Cobourg area ever - and it's a shame because I'm a rewards member with BW and I've stayed at great BW hotels in the past.

We stayed in the king suite with two doubles for a family gathering. First time here. Checkin was quick. Room was large and stocked well. A lot of dog hair everywhere. Found kibble everywhere. Like a canine Easter egg hunt. Was not impressed with cleanliness but maybe other rooms were cleaner. We aren't pet owners. I didn't call as it was such a small window I didn't want to be bothered. And actually, I should not have had to. I'm sure they would have dealt with it but...

The room I originally booked had a repair issue on the jacuzzi. I let the lobby know and they handled it swiftly, were very friendly and fair. We ended up loving rooms but not a problem. Great staff!.

This is hotel is one of the best we have ever stayed at. The room is perfect. I always judge a room on the cleanliness of the bathroom. And this hotel the bathrooms are spotless. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only issue is the mattress needed to be flipped. It had a hump in the middle. The staff are friendly and efficient.

Excellent would highly recommend to everyone. . I found room to be very clean and safe as well as secure especially for people traveling solo. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A real gem in Cobourg. Keep up the good. work. Linda

Excellent hotel we will come back again restaurant was good and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was like your stay in a very expensive hotel. Would recommend it to anyone. Very easy to get off the 401

I recently decided to take a mini road trip with my niece. Given the state of things at the moment, I was a little hesitant to travel anywhere but we needed to get away and I have stayed at this hotel before and have absolutely loved it. Even though the pool was closed and there are social restrictions we were met by very friendly staff. Our hotel room was extremely clean, as was the hotel overall, and our service was amazing. We decided to order take in that night and just enjoyed hanging out together. The next morning we had a delicious breakfast at Arthur's Pub (located in the hotel). Check in and check out was easy. Definitely going back! Thanks for a great stay and for allowing us an opportunity to escape reality - even if only for a night.

Over Priced and they appear to allow smoking in the rooms.... Almost $180/night and you get to enjoy cigarette smoke coming through your bathroom vent and then the smell of cheap cologne trying to mask the smell. And when you call the front desk they blame you for having a patio door access to your room. #TheresNoOneOutside Was planning on staying several night, will be checking out first thing in the morning. Not impressed I had to give one circle for this rating.

Overpriced for room , no security to deal with guests who were intoxicated and trying to enter other peoples rooms // when front desk was informed over the noise and disturbance nothing was done to make the stay more comfortable or discount on the rooms. Very poor service not impressed for the price of the rooms

Great hotel but with no pool, hot tub all under reno We felt there should have been a discount offered. My grandsons were very disappointed. Very clean great room service! Pub is awesome! Food was fantastic! Servers were extremely friendly! We had a family room 3 queen beds it was fine a little right for room but it did the trick for sleeping! Beds very comfortable!

We have stayed at Cobourg BWP quite often over the years with my immediate and extended family and each time we have had a pleasant stay! I would like to thank the staff and the management for working hard to make sure everyone enjoys their stay!

This hotel is clean and comfortable. Arthur's pub has karaoke for entertainment. Better service than other hotels I have stayed at in Cobourg on my monthly visits. Business travellers get a break on the rate.

Highly impressed with staff, accommodations and service. Loves three bed suite prefect for three friends travelling together. Front desk staff was super helpful and accommodating. Great for pet owners, nice grass area near by, rooms very easy to keep clean with dogs, lots of exits to get out quickly. Beds very comfortable, showers hot and good pressure

The Kids love this hotel, its clean , neat and the Pool is awesome, we will stay here again for sure. The Lobby is clean and the staff is super friendly. Onsite restaurant isn't part of the hotel but is integrated in the hotel, it has great food, live band the night we stayed and the drinks were good and cold. Family friendly kids menu. We had a Family Suite and the kids had their own little get away.

excellent service on all aspects clean and comfortable rooms, friendly front desk customer rep and everyone was willing to help from the maid service to the higher up. Pool and hot tub were clean and very relaxing

While I always stay at a Best Western if there is one available, this one was a clean, comfortable hotel. I was there during the winter storm, and they kept the parking lot area fairly well cleared which was nice. If you are expecting the free breakfast in the morning, there is not one. However, this BW has a full restaurant, which is convenient.

Beautiful room, pleasant & knowledgable staff, great location. My wife & I had a wonderful time both in the hotel and in Cobourg ON. Highly recommended to all, especially the jacuzzi rooms. Hope to visit again soon

We have enjoyed this Best Western for events in other years. I am a Maritimer from Cape Breton and Best Western has a Celtic New Year's Eve celebration saluting Nfld, the Maritimes and Ontario. It was a blast!

Great service,newly redecorated rooms,clean look on the exterior too. Only problem was not enough servers at Boxing Day breakfast..the food was excellent,but the service was snail-like. The hotel needs some competition to lower the rates..this is Cobourg for heaven's sake!

We always stay at the BW Plus Cobourg when we are in town. We can count on them for sure to make us feel at home. The service: front desk, cleaning staff always recognize us and make sure we get everything we ask for. Arthur's Pub is a wonderful restaurant with great food and great service. Overall great hotel. Rooms are always clean and comfortable beds. Lots of parking. Restaurant/bar is great place to watch a game or just relax and listen to the live music. Great value! Favorite hotel in the area.

The hotel was clean, friendly, and had everything that you would need. The rooms were comfortable and nice. They accomodated special requests. The restaurant was excellent with great food, staff and entertainment.

Always a family favourite on weekends! Great rooms, pool, restaurant and friendly staff. Allowed for an early checkin. Close to Port Hope, Cobourg and surrounding areas and other restaurants in the area.

We spent a family weekend for the 5 sisters weekend with our hubby's! A yearly weekend to catch up with each other! We found a free Primitive Design art place for a wonderful day out! Walking the beach was fun too! We found not much in the way of shopping! The ladies wanted to spend time in the afternoon on Sunday and not much open! But Cobourg truly needs to work for a better experience for visitors!

Great value. A+++ staff. These people just get customer service. Loved our stay there! The room was clean, the breakfast was amazing, the dinner was pub fare, the value is great, most importantly, the staff treat you very well without being obsequious.

This location has a great indoor warmed pool with hot tub and gym facilities. The hotel is clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, clean and are provided with all the needed amenities. The hotel is located near the 401 and many areas to eat.

Stay here as we were in town for a sporting event. Hotel has nice appearance however rooms are very noisy, you can hear water running and toilets flushing in others bathrooms outside your room. Gap under the door let's both noise and smell from pool into the room.

We order a room by a using a telephone number of a wedding invitation, but we didn't get the discount. We talked a long time with a lady of the reception but she was not willing to give us the discount. We where very, very, very disappointed. We didn't see why she was so terrible.

I stayed there for one night and the room I was in seemed like a conference room turned into a regular room. The bed was a bunked bed so I was not pleasantly surprised because there was no mention when I made my reservation. However, this room was huge... we could have had a pillow fight without having to jump on beds! But I was alone so it was just huge... ha ha ha! So, decent night in a dated but correct hotel. I love their products! Nice smell!

Every year we go twice to Cobourg Ontario. We always stay at the Best Western. The reason is quite simple the rooms are nice the hotel has been renovated has an indoor pool and fitness center as well as a restaurant called Arthur's. The service is always very good and it's very convenient for us because we stay there two nights and three days . It is a five minute drive to the beach and downtown area if that. Always got good rates and enjoy the facility. It makes our trip to Victoria Beach very convenient and it's only a hour and 20 minute drive from Toronto.

We stayed for a family wedding, rooms were clean and spacious. Food was great, pool was very nice. Staff were helpful and very friendly. We would stay here again for sure. Great overall experience for my wife and myself.

Paid $283 for a room, and couldn't get a breakfast for that cost. The room was nice, but it wasn't nice enough to forgo a simple breakfast. I will be looking for a different place to stay the next time I'm in this area.

I had a great stay at this property. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I was greeted with a pleasant smile upon arrival. I will definitely refer my friends and family to experience this hotel. Looking forward to my next stay at the Best Western Plus Cobourg.

Always nice to stay in a Best Western that is tastefully decorated and retaining its local character. The friendliness of the staff allows us to feel a bit like family. It is surely an hotel that I would recommend to my friends

This Best Western Plus is located just off the 401 highway in picturesque Cobourg, a beautiful little town with a wonderful beach. I have stayed all over the world, and oddly this was my first time ever at a Best Western. So, I was interested to see how it would work out. We were a family of four there for just one night, and we enjoyed ourselves a lot. The front desk staff was the most welcoming team of professionals I've encountered at a hotel in years. The room itself was very well laid out with a super comfortable bed. There was no charge for parking and plenty of spots to choose from. The pool was spectacular. It was clearly designed with kids in mind, a really good size with lots of perks you'd find at a splash pad (see attached picture). There was also a hot tub that was kept at a pretty decent temperature (I've noticed many hotels do not keep their water hot enough). Although we love the way the restaurant was decorated, and sevice was friendly, we were disappointed in the food provided by Arthur's Pub. We ate both dinner and breakfast there, and felt it just wasn't up to par. For instance, the waitress raved about the deluxe grill cheese (I can't really remember what it was called but it was a combo hamburger + grill cheese concotion) but I felt it was exactly what I would get if I went to Longo's and bought some bagged bread and sliced cheese and threw in a hamburger myself (so, nothing special). My kids' french fries were lukewarm at best. At breakfast in the morning, when we asked for coffee refills, the waitress told us she would have to make a pot (?). Pancakes were rake thin and rather tasteless. Oddly the kids' menu only allow for one portion of a side (in other words, if your child wants bacon - they only get one slice of bacon). We did it find it odd that the room did not have a safe. It is a convention hotel, and I imagine a lot of travellers, both family and business alike, would make use of it. The hotel staff does not slide a room bill under your door on the day of your checkout. I'm starting to wonder if this procedure is being phased out, but I would have liked it. I find it saves time when checking out at the front desk. Bill was exactly correct though. Food aside, I would stay here again and just eat somehwere else. The place is spotless, and like I said, the room is very good and the staff are wonderful.

This simple hotel in Coburg offers, while it's not a luxurious hotel, offers elegant service and all the amenities you need to make your start comfortable and fun. I have stayed in both two-bed and single (with king-size beds) rooms. The bed is comfortable as well as the pillows; note that they would probably be too high for those who want flat pillows. But I want high pillows so this is perfect for me. The rooms that I stayed in were kept clean and scent-free as this is a non-smoking hotel. I'm not sure if it was just my rooms, but I noticed that their bathrooms were accessible - there were handlebars for those with mobility issues. Just like many hotels, there is luggage storage with PLENTY of hangers and where they also keep the ironing board and iron. I didn't see a safe-deposit box. There is a small pool with a kid section and jacuzzi on the first floor and a fitness facility on the second floor. The wifi connection is super fast compared to other hotels which is free; I could easily download email attachments. Uncovered self-parking is available that is just around the hotel ground. This hotel is ideal for families who want affordable accommodation and those who need a break from their long drive. If you're a business person who doesn't need a business centre, this will work as well. The hotel is not in downtown Coburg and about 15 minutes drive to the Coburg beach.

Very clean hotel and staff were very friendly. Nice restaurant attached to hotel,food good. Sunday they offer a large brunch with many options $21.95 per person, kids are $4.95+age of child. I believe kids eat free after 5pm. Hotel is pet friendly which we thought was a plus. The pool was perfect temperature and offered interactive features for kids as well as the whirlpool. Would definitely stay again.

Wedding event to celebrate my daughters wedding. The hall and staff attention yo details were excellent. They made sure everything was to our satisfaction. Roger the director was wonderful. We only had one minor glitch when the debit machine fir the bar malfunctioned. Otherwise it was perfect

Spent a two night stay at the Best Western Plus in Cobourg. We were three adults so had a room with three double beds. The room was large and well decorated. Beds were comfortable but i found the pillows a little to firm for me. Check in and check out went fast and the staff were very polite and informative. Had breakfast at the restaurant on site. Lots to eat and fast service. This hotel is at a good location and easily accessible. Will stay again

Very accommodating staff we were there for a family wedding and all of us got great customer service and I could imagine it being overwhelming because we were so many. They also did their best to accommodate dietary requirements such as vegan etc

Very disappointed with this Best Western, check in time was 4 o'clock and our wedding started at 4 pm. I called and they wouldn't give us an early check in but they would put a request in for me. We did get here at 2:30pm and they did let us have our room early, which we were grateful for. But unfortunately the the beds in the room where terrible. Our bed was a Murphy bed and it was not a good mattress. Both my husband and I tossed and turned all night. I have never seen a Murphy bed in a hotel before. This room was very large and it looked like it was a meeting room also. I excepted more from a Best Western chain, again very disappointed.

We had a very comfortable stay with our family at the Best Western in Cobourg. The rooms were quiet and clean and the restaurant is very good. The hotel is only a short drive from the wonderful beach in Cobourg.

I went for a wedding. The wedding was located offsite, so the hotel was my lodging only. Very clean room and the mini fridge was great (pre-wedding cocktails). SAM was fantastic at check-in. I had called a few days in advance trying to ensure an early check-in and arrived around 1230 after a 4 hour drive. Sam, who remembered my call, was unable to give me my room right away but watched over my stuff as I popped into the bar for a quick beer. She even found me in the bar when my room was ready about 20 minutes later. I can't guarantee I will be back in Cobourg again (based simply on geography) but if I was, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

We had a pleasant two-day stay at the BW in Cobourg. Check IN and OUT were quick and efficient. The bed was very comfortable. Coffee provisions and mini-fridge were great. Closet was ample. The water out of the shower had to be 80 psi. Wow. Actually it was refreshing, though it was quite powerful. The bathroom fan was the same. It was like a 747 taking off. A long, loud rumble. I think housekeeping was remiss in reporting this one to maintenance. Location of the hotel is very close to the local hospital.

Average sized room with average comfort and average decor, but priced 30% more than it should be. I'm sure it's not an issue for those who are part of an event there, but for staying overnight on a business trip I don't want to pay more for being close to event spaces and the dinner theatre. They don't even offer the free-but-average breakfast that many hotels in this class provide. The biggest plus was the electric car charger (Level 2) for guest use, which is the real reason I chose this hotel.

After a long day driving it was so good to book into this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean and inviting. No issues with this hotel. We woke up in the morning in darkness as the hydro had gone off in the whole city but the staff did their best to help out where they could. Enjoyed our stay, have used them in the past and would definetly stop there again.

I have stayed at the BW in Cobourg many many times and I've been happy every single time! The staff is nice, friendly and really helpful in solving occasional issues that are bound to come up. I find the prices a bit steep especially high season weekends and I really wish they would have some sort of a package or preferred rate for returning guests! :)

Everything about our stay at the Best Western Cobourg was perfect! Everything was new or like new ... bathrooms, rooms, main areas. The bed was super-comfy, and the pillows perfect (nice and big, and not super-soft). The best part ... it's dog friendly, without charge! The only thing that would improve it would be better sound insulation around the door, but that's a minor thing. We didn't eat at the pub, as we only stayed one night, and were at a party in the evening, but our friends go there regularly and enjoy it. We will definitely book this hotel on our next trip to the area!

We stayed at the best western on a last minute trip. The service was great. The room was beautiful. The king sized bed was very very comfortable. The pillows were soft and the sheets were soft and smelled amazing. Had one of the best sleeps in a long time. Will delve back.

One night stay July/7/2019. Requested top floor when booking online and again on pre-registration- checked in just after 4pm on Sunday night and was assigned 2nd floor room (not top)- received no acknowledgment about my request nor any reason why i didn't get top floor- hotel seemed virtually empty! Needless to say later in the evening upstairs noise was almost unbearable! Constant banging and thumping! Did not sleep much at all. Pool is nice although child oriented- hot tub nice and big. Onsite restaurant was just okay for dinner- basically English pub food- musician playing just too loud! Washroom was small and dated and carpet seemed old and stained and was torn in spots. In addition to upstairs noise the traffic from the street could be heard all too clearly in our room. No breakfast included which is not acceptable for a room at this price! Overall not a great experience. I would not stay here again nor recommend for reasons above. Why this property is classified as “plus” is a mystery in my opinion! PS- no microwave was another big problem- we always use for heating our coffee- we stayed in 6 different hotels on this trip- this was first with no microwave!!! Again why is this a “plus”?

This hotel is right off the 401. Easy to get to. Clean, comfortable and well managed. The rooms are clean. Pool and hot tub nice added feature. Great place for families. The staff are friendly and helpful and they have 24 hour front desk support if you need anything.

I chose this hotel to be close to the Provincial courthouse where I represented a client next morning. The friendly staff was professionall during check- in, although I received a better treatment in suit and tie, when checking out . The hotel and my spacious room was clean; as it was located on the first floor, I had direct access to my car through a brand new patio door. That was the only new item in the room. The wall-mounted sofa bed was rickety, and due to its concept, the head board was behind the opening, so initially I almost fell down, head first. To add insult to (potential) injury, the mattress was to hard, and so were the two pillows; the remaining two pillows were too soft. THe swimming pool and jaccuzzi were very clean. The "Plus" in the name will remain with me as a question, not an assurance of comfort. Next time I am scheduled in the local Courthouse, I will look find a better hotel; I will rather commute from a comfortable place than spend another night in this conveniently located hotel.

The staff was nothing but friendly and helpful, Chantal checked us in quickly and efficiently. The room itself was spacious, clean and the bed was so very comfy. Also had a fridge and microwave in our room, which comes in handy while on a road trip. We had a ground floor room with a sliding door walk out, not much of a view as we were in the back of the property, but nice to have the option to sit outside on a nice day. Arthur's Pub on site was wonderful to have, luckily we had a nice day so we sat out on their patio for a bit in the afternoon. Gavin our server for dinner was a great, a definite asset to the restaurant. The only thing I found odd about this restaurant is that there was no music playing over the speakers at all, even just as backround music, most places have something playing. At 9:00 there was a gentleman that played a keyboard and sang, but I don't think his sound system was very good, as it seemed garbled at times. All in all the Best Western Plus Cobourg Inn & Convention Centre makes for a great stop along the way, I would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

We just stay ther for two nights , we were with a group of forty people , they looked after us very well. THe staff was extremely friendly . We would stay there again , the restaurant was good as well.

This was my first stay. The staff were pleasant and helpful. In addition to the onsite facilities and services, the location is close to restaurants, shopping and downtown. It is also close to Hwy 401. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. The furniture and decor were up to date. When booking, they offer a military discount, in addition to many others.

My wife and I from Ottawa went to your dinner theatre last Sunday evening (5 May 2019) at your Best Western Hotel in Cobourg. It was simply outstanding, the evening was great, the buffet meal was so delicious and so fantastic, and the theatre performance "The Fox on the Fairway" was very well done - really enjoyed it. The whole evening was first class, fun and beyond a 5 Star rating. A special thank you to the chef and kitchen staff and all who put on such a great evening. Well done - we will be back. Thank you!!

My husband and I attended a play at this location so attained a room so we wouldn't have to drive an hour home after the play. The room we got had a queen bed, a wardrobe, a dresser and a desk plus a tired couch. The dresser unit held a fridge behind a cabinet door. It was great to have a fridge but a nuisance to get at. The dresser drawers kept opening as it was obviously not level. The hotel was full so the prices were inflated. We paid more for a room last night then we have downtown Toronto. The absolute worst was the alarm clock next to the bed was set for 6 am unbeknownst to us. Housekeeping should really assure that alarms are turned off. To actually turn the darn thing off required lights to be turned on and I had to jump out of bed just to read how to turn it off. We got up, packed up and left. Not a great experience for us. Overpriced and minimal amenities. For the price I would have thought breakfast was included.

Big hockey team group. All kids loved the pool and hot tub. Restaurant food was not worth the price. Won't eat there again. Beds very comfy. Room very clean. VERY disappointing not coming with a complimentary breakfast specially with two kids and have to be out to hockey tournament.

Every aspect of this Hotel was well done and enjoyable. The property was in excellent condition, the room was the cleanest my wife and I have ever stayed in, and it definitely was not new. In the room the furniture was in the best condition we have ever seen, no scratches or damages what so ever. The rest of the facilities were also clean and well maintained. Staff we very friendly and accommodating. We were there for a wedding and the banquet hall was excellent and clean, but the best part was the food, as someone who has attended far too many banquets in my life this was the best food. I can't say enough about the best western, Cobourg On

This hotel is very good, the pool is excellent for kids, the rooms are clean and the staff is very accommodating. Arthur's Pub on site has good service, good pub food and live bands nightly. We have stayed many of nights at this hotel during my Mom's illness.

The restaurant was good, but the room smelled of insecticide and the towels were rough and frayed. Poor value for the accommodation. I selected it over a nearby hotel because they offered an EV charger for my car, but it was still a poor value.

Terrible service from the rude front desk clerk who answered our calls about early check in to the absolutely emotionless check out. Overly high prices with no breakfast included in price. Wouldn't recommend this one to anyone.

Where do we start? The restaurant not only has a varied menu, but a daily soup, and a daily special, as in 1/2 price appetizers on Mondays ( try any one of them up to $15, wings at 60 cents each on Tuesdays, you get my point. And, bonus, happy and attentive staff.

What a wonderful place to stay, swim, soak in a whirlpool, play with children in the pool with water bowls and an abundance of towels to dry off. The food was absolutely delicious at the dinner theatre buffet. The show was funny and we had a great time!! Thank you so much, I will definitely come again!!

Always friendly and a warm reception! I always feel like a valued guest at this hotel! The St. Arthur's restaurant is probably the coolest place to eat in Cobourg and its attached to the hotel. The rooms are very clean. Internet (Wifi) is fast and the hotel is beautiful!

Stopped here for bussiness great price , older building but very clean with spacious rooms . Resturant on site butt was a little disappointed in the food but breakfast was good and service was quick . Check in and out was quick

We go to the same hotel almost annually. We live in ottawa and our family is all in southern Ontario. With all the small kids it's a great place to get together. Having the restaurant in the hotel is great and the food is just as good. The kids love the pool, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are always clean, and they are pet friendly. I recommend this hotel for sure.

We have stayed at this location many times. Every time we do the rooms are very clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the wi-fi works in every room we have stayed. The common areas are very clean and the staff is very helpful and polite.

This hotel is exceptional. Great staff, beautiful decor and wonderful restaurant. Love staying here.I was there during the Christmas season, the decorations were beautiful.The rooms are bright, clean and beds so cozy. There is entertainment nearly every night in the restaurant. I especially love the beetles night and kareoke.

For a standard hotel in a small town, a large group of us had a great time here. The primary reason is that the hotel contains a very lively and large pub (Arthur's) with entertaining and not-too-loud live music. The pub's kitchen has a decent menu and all meals were satisfactory. The bar staff and servers were friendly and patient even on our very busy nights. We didn't have to leave the hotel at night to be fed, watered and entertained which was a bonus. The hotel itself has all the basics and the nice thing was that nothing stood out negatively in the rooms or facilities. Clean. Nice pool for children. The too-common basic workout room for only those desperate to exercise. Finally, it's only minutes away by car to arenas, highways or downtown and waterfront.

This was an excellent hotel! We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. The hotel was clean, staff were responsive and we enjoyed the amenities, especially the pool according to my son and his friends.

Great birthday evening. The play was 'Sexy Laundry' and we laughed until tears came. Two people on stage and they did a wonderful job. The meal was excellent. The access throughout for disabled people was first class. A perfect evening, again.

Room was comfortable. Nice to have a restaurant for meals. We were attending a wedding and someone from the hotel drove us to the wedding service as the taxi would have been late. We enjoyed the entertainment in the pub at night. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We were in Cobourg for a wedding and they arranged for a group rate for it. They let us know to call a few days in advanced to arrange an early checkin and they had no problems accommodating us. It's easy to get to from the 401 and close to lots of restaurants. The room was a bit small but everything was clean and the bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept on. There were a few other large groups but we didn't hear any noise and and slept very well. I would recommend it for a stay in the area.

Staff are exceptionally friendly and the hotel has all the amenities you would like. The food in the restaurants and the conference center are exceptional. THe bed was so comfortable it was hard to get up in the morning! Arthur's pub has a wonderful British pub feel and does a wicked Guinness Pour!

I have stayed here twice now on business. It is nice and clean, comfortable. Staff at front desk are friendly and helpful. The pub is a good spot to eat with typical and not so typical food options, which i have enjoyed. Close to the Hwy 401 too.

We had to come to the area for a family gathering at the last moment. The hotel was convenient and we has a huge room. Could have danced in the room. A great choice for having to make rushed reservations

We stayed over for 1 night and loved the location. I rate this hotel 4 1/2 instead of 5 because it would have been nice if breakfast was included. The room was not big but clean and very comfortable. I had a wonderful night of sleep. I did not use the fitness room but the pool was lovely and I had a very nice morning swim. If I need a place to stay in Cobourg this hotel would be my 1st choice.

The location is a 10-minute drive to the beach which is okay if you have a car. The indoor swimming pool is a big plus to keep kids entertained. Breakfast is not included but the restaurant inside offers good options. The front desk personnel really needs training in customer service, though (read on!). We stayed at the hotel in the weekend of Aug 10-12 and picked those days since there wouldn't be any major public event in town in order to avoid a large crowd. But there was a wedding event happening at the hotel (which we were not aware of) and our last night was close to a nightmare. In three diferent occasions between 1:30am and 3am, someone who attended the wedding came and knocked our door!! I opened the door twice to explain that it was the wrong room and asked them to leave. I could also notice how clearly intoxicated they were. In the morning, I noticed that someone purposely changed the room number plates in the same hall! I notified front desk about the incident and received the standard answer "sorry for the inconvenience". I travel frequently and never had this type of situation on my life. Definitely not coming back to this hotel.

Arrived at the hotel with another family who had already booked a room. Expected to be turned down as the hotel showed as booked solid but was presently surprised when I was able to book a room for the bight. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and the accommodation we had were great. My boys loved the pool area. We will definitely be going again

Best Western in Cobourg is clean and comfortable. The pool is a great addition and is open reasonable hours. The staff are helpful, respectful and professional. We have stayed numerous times and have always been pleased with the service and accommodations.

This restaurant is located in the Best Western Plus in Cobourg. It has been recently been renovated and looks great. We travel to Cobourg every summer and Arthur's has very good food. Every night there is a different theme and special which is good. Staff is excellent and they have a patio where you can watch the sun set. Arthur's is very good value for the dollar and worth visiting.

The hotel is nice, rooms spacious and the pool is delightful to children. Staff is pleasant but breakfast is not included, so that would have been nice. Location of hotel is good as there is a grocery store and coffee shops nearby

Our stay at BWP Muskoka Inn in Cobourg was very good. In addition, we enjoyed eating at the restaurant within the motel. However, one thing interests us about our check-in. For the first time ever, I was asked the name of "the other party" in the room, first name, then asked her last name. Why after all our 54 years of marriage was this question asked? Just saying, their request was unusual for us.

travelled 3 hours had eye surgery and still had to sleep in the parking lot cause they say they werent ready. waited for a call and they didnt call. this was on the hotest day too and the staff didnt give andy effort in fixing this

Booked here as part of a hockey team - room was on the smaller size but it worked for us - hotel was booked solid so parking was difficult. HUGE pool! I would recommend staying here and I would stay again.

We chose the BW as a good spot for breaking up a long drive. This was my family's first stay at aZBW but won't be the last thanks to a great experience. The highlight was definitely the swimming pool, which my kids loved.

We just spent three days in the Best Western Coburg. We have never been treated so well! The hotel is clean and well cared for with a very nice pool area , childrens splash pad and jacuzzi. The dining room is very nicely furnished, good food and nightly entertainment . The staff in the dining room particularly the morning staff while we were there were so enjoyable and made our experience even better. The rooms were very clean with nice modern bathrooms and very comfortable beds. Highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel & rooms are modern ... CLEAN .... staff are very friendly and I have absolutely no complaints ... just praise !! The parking was very handy to our room. We stopped into the bar when we returned for a night cap and again friendly ... not noisy and topped off a great day !! Room had 2 very comfortable queen beds - flat screen TV - fridge and very clean ... great shower with lots of hot water as well. Well worth the stay !!!

we found that with the location of this hotel it was a little pricey. Our room had 2 queen beds which were comfortable and the room was clean. However, I would prefer disposable glasses in the bathroom as you never know how clean the glass ones are. Seeing the cleaning cart in the hall we noticed that there were no clean glasses on the cart which makes us a little sceptical about where the glasses were cleaned. The other thing that bothered me was how thin the walls were. At night you could hear the conversation next door and in the morning the talking and laughing at 6 am. After a wedding I was not interested in hearing people at 6 am. They also allow dogs which we heard barking every time someone went down the hall

Stayed for my nephew's Wedding June 2nd ..Horrible woman on the night shift.. Disgusting behavior on her behalf ..She was out for blood.. They even had a police officer who noticed the Wedding Party outside the hotel try to intervene to help the Bride and Groom get into their room.. Her complaint was no ID Although people were in and out of the bridal suite all day decorating.. She actually called the Bride the B WORD Not allowed to say The B WORD but I think everyone knows The B WORD.. NOBODY CALLS The BRIDE the B WORD.. Even though all their information was on file because they held all the rooms for their Wedding guest's including mine in their file.. So I guess ladies if you plan a Wedding Party in This Hotel you will Have to keep your ID in your Bra.. However the gentleman on the morning shift does not need to see your ID to check it because he has your file.. Go figure.. We will never stay there again... I hope GODZILLA isn't working the day you plan on staying

Hotel staff friendly. Overall clean hotel. Sticky floor in the room. We were there for a wedding. Convenient venue for your wedding guests. Wait staff were friendly in Arthur's Pub. Food was overpriced. 4 frozen rubbery shrimp for an appetizer for $12.00. And overcooked, mushy, greasy...and I mean dripping with grease, halibut and chips for $20.00.

We had a great night! Thx so much BW staff! My family and u used the pool and other services and we're happy with the quality of the services and our room! I wish the hotel was a bit closer the the downtown area, but considering everything we will stay at the Best Western in Cobourg again!

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at during our 5 day trip. The hotel was great and having the restaurant attached made meals easy. We would definitely stay here again. They even had a little welcome bag for the dog, just another example of how they treat you like family.

This Best Western is very well appointed, the rooms are very comfortable and the hotel is very clean throughout. Used the exercise room which was small but did the job. Had a nice view of the pool from the exercise room - it looked very inviting but unfortunately we didn't have time to use it. The hotel has a bar associated with it which is nice. Missed not having the usual complementary breakfast that we get in the US Best Western but there are a lot of eating options close to the hotel. Staff was very friendly.

good location, pleasant staff and good rooms. Room is a bit on the small side but the evening and time was quiet. this is the only B W I have stayed in where they do not offer breakfast, quite disappointing. Will be back in June so will see if it is still quiet. Stayed a second time in Walkerton B W and it was noisy while the 1st time not. The Pub did but have a menu visible for breakfast and nothing on the web site

Wonderful hotel staff and location. We slept well, the beds were quite comfy. The pool and hot tub were fantastic, we couldn't believe how empty it was on a Saturday night. The hotel was full for the evening, the pub had dinner theater, but we could not even tell it was packed. It all seemed so quiet, which was fantastic after our long road trip. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay again, given the opportunity.

This hotel has everything you'll want in a hotel without over-the-top luxury stuff. The key things a hotel needs to have - comfortable bed, clean bathroom with a good shower, enough room to store your stuff and move around, a clock radio with a time display you can actually see at night, reasonably quiet and efficient heating system, free Wifi, a mini-fridge and a TV with a clear picture and a decent channel selection - are here. The staff were friendly and the check-in, check-out process was quick and easy. Arthur's Pub is available through the lobby and it's a great place for refreshing beverages and good food. We were there on Tuesday, wing night, and the food was good at a good price. They have 20 beers on tap and a whole bunch of interesting ones in the bottle. The hotel is conveniently located just south of Highway 401 and it's easy to get in and out of their parking lot. Parking is free. The next time we're in Cobourg, I can't think of why we'd want to stay anywhere else.

I like to visit this new English Pub located in the Best Western Hotel in Cobourg. Service is good and food is tasty. They had a new lunch menu today when we came for lunch. We ordered just one bowl of clam chowder soup. The server split the soup into two small bowls. Very nice touch. A fireplace added ambiance as snow fell outside. The beef stew was plentiful and filling but would've been better served on a bed of mashed potatoes or rice. Worth the money and a visit.

Enjoyed a weekend trip to Cobourg. The motel was conveniently located just of the 401 and close to a variety of restaurants.The staff were amazing. Very helpful and caring. Directed us to items of interest in the area.

Had a family event (birthday) everything was exceptional! The ballroom was beautiful the food and staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice, clean, beds are comfy and my favorite lots of great pillows! Pool is awesome for kids ??

This is a nice hotel with a friendly staff, but, in my view, it's overpriced by anywhere from $30 to $50. I could see no justification for a one-night bill of almost $200 in a small city like Cobourg. The hotel is clean, has a fairly large pool, an adjoining pub, and very comfortable beds. But our room (though nicely appointed) was pretty small, with only one queen bed. There is no complementary breakfast, and you will likely pay an additional $9+ per person if you want to eat at the hotel in the morning. The location is fairly convenient to local highways, but it's not a particularly attractive part of town. Next time, we would look for more reasonably priced accommodation -- or at least lodgings that offer more value for the money.

I needed a room in Cobourg when I was home to visit my mother. The folks at the Best Western were great! The room was comfortable and clean. The food and the service at the Pub were excellent. I will definitely plan to stay there again.

Opening weekend of "Play On", a comedy, presented by the Northumberland Players troupe. We attended the Sunday buffet dinner and show. Good food and service, hilarious play, well acted. A must see. Buffet included roast beef and roast ham, salads, roasted potatoes with onions, chicken in gravy, yorkshire pudding and an assortment of delicious desserts. Sunday dinner is at 5 pm, show at 7. Friday and Saturdays dinner at 6 and show at 8.

We were at this hotel because of the Dinner Theatre package. If you want an economical night away, don't hesitate to take advantage of this opportunity for a lovely buffet dinner, show and accommodation at this very comfortable hotel. The total package was $235 per couple. We think this is the deal of the century!

Weekend getaway, Friendly and kind staff, room was clean, awesome water pressure in the shower, restaurant/lounge had great food with live bands at night. Great location, easy to find. With all this hotel has to offer, its worth the price. Will definitely be staying here again

We decided to go for a short getaway, wanted to relax and have an indoor pool and spa, boys loved it, we loved it, great place, very clean, great staff. My only wish would be a small continental breakfast provided, other then that I certainly will go again, many times!!!

Booked a king bed room which was a nice size and has a couch and table. Bathroom has a wall to wall counter, which is great for toiletry bags. Lots of room to spread out. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There were two pillow options, a king size and queen and both were ok - nice and cushiony which is my preferred type. Heating system worked very well and was quiet, but the fridge emitted a constant extremely loud buzz and we had to unplug it to be able to sleep. Just there for one night and only in the room to sleep and nothing to put in the fridge, so not a big deal. Sliding door drapes are black-out style, so the room was nice and dark for sleeping, especially since we were on the first floor facing the parking lot But the drapes don't have a white liner fabric so had to keep them closed in the morning to dress. The only light comes from the sliding doors so it's depressing to have to dress without any natural light in the morning. I would stay again as the price is right and it's perfect for our one night visits when we see friends in the area. We don't want breakfast in the morning so we prefer a price that doesn't include breakfast. Two issues that really do bother me about the hotel - I do not appreciate being sent long surveys and reminder emails after a stay. If I have time I will fill it out but if I don't, I don't want reminder emails filling up my inbox. I decided to fill out the survey after the second email and could not believe that at the end I was asked to submit a review to Google and when I closed that box, another popped up for Trip Advisor. I almost always submit reviews to Trip Advisor, but as I don't work for Best Western, I resent the heavy handed approach and expectation that I will take a fair chunk of my time to promote their business. Issue #2. This isn't related to my experience, but I do feel I should mention that my niece had booked a large block of rooms for an August '18 wedding and had a written confirmation. The wedding is being held about 45 minutes away, but the Best Western Cobourg was the largest and best positioned property for the wedding guests. Several weeks ago she went to check something and was told that the reservation was gone and another wedding now had her rooms. My niece is currently in another province and didn't ask her parents to help, so don't know how high she took the matter, but it seems atrocious to me that management at any level would shrug off her problem given she was in possession of a written confirmation from the hotel. To give the hotel the benefit of the doubt, if it was a mistake, her reservation should have been the one to be honored as it was made months prior to the new wedding booking. It is obviously unfortunate as someone would be disappointed, but the matter was handled very unprofessionally. My neice has now had to book a hotel in Trenton which is much further for the mostly from Toronto guests.

We stay here at least once a year. The kids love the pool. The staff are very friendly and the rooms clean. The only issue I had this year was that the heater/fan was right next to where I was sleeping and it came on every few minutes all night blowing in my face and making noise so I didn't sleep. Everyone else slept very well.

Good hotel that suits our family need to be in Cobourg over the Christmas holidays. Rooms have recently been refurbished & they have a great bed product. We have a small dog & particularly like the ground floor rooms with patio doors for ease. This was our 3rd visit and never had any issues - always great staff. We had breakfast in their newly renovated restaurant (which looks much improved), however one of our very worst ever breakfast dining experiences on Christmas morning. Eggs Florentine & Eggs Benedict were atrocious! Have never had Eggs Florentine with fried onions on them before & net result the muffins were soft & soggy with the deluge of oil from the fried onions. Very cold hollandaise sauce on very cold eggs made for a truly inedible experiences. Server was very pleasant and offered a replacement dish which we declined as we needed to be somewhere. As it was Christmas morning I just assumed they had some junior staff in the kitchen and they were just trying to do their best, however when I did complain to the Front Desk (Lisa who was amazing) - very surprised to learn that the Executive Chef himself was in the kitchen. This was even more concerning as he clearly thought this was acceptable? Very positive recovery by Lisa who assured me they would make an adjustment on bill which they did & was greatly appreciated. However, I am very disappointed that they have spent so much money on the refurbishment of the restaurant yet seem not to have put as much focus on the quality of the kitchen/food.

Never disappoints and always look forward to the BW because the staff do a wonderful job welcoming and making the stay so enjoyable. Pet friendly, ample parking and fantastic pub make it tops on our list.

Room was small but clean and king size bed was awesome. Staff are very nice and helpful. Bonus is that there is a pub attached so didn't have to bundle up to go out into the cold or drive to get there! Pool was nice and also took advantage of the hot tub/whirlpool.

Really enjoy staying at the Best Western Cobourg. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. The ballroom and buffet was very nicely decorated and the food was delicious. I won't recommend the Arthur's Restaurant, when I ask the staff questions they didn't know the answers and very slow.

I don't usually do this but because this hotel is so good I figured I should. Perfect professional staff. Fantastic clean cozy comfortable rooms. Varying styles and sizes. Unbelievable pool and incredible PUB. If you are in the area you need to stay here.

This hotel was well kept, clean and perfect for families. It has a great pool area for your children. It has a lounge area for dining and beverages. It is close to many amenities. My family and I had a great stay.

I must say that when your train is stuck because of an accident and you are on a train for 3 hours longer than anticipated after a long day it was awesome to be able to check into the Best Western in Cobourg. I was able to checkin easily despite not having a reservation. I had a relaxing drink at the great bar as well as fantastic burger. As if that was not enough the next morning after probably sleeping in a bit longer than I should have I was in danger of missing my train because there were no cabs available as quickly as I needed. Out of the blue and unexpectedly the manager of the hotel offered to personally drive me to the station as she did not want me to worry about potentially missing my train. I will never stay anywhere but here if I am in the area. Thank you

The hotel was so nicely decorated for Christmas. The pub had been renovated. They had a great celtic band The whole experience was cozy, welcoming and friendly. The staff were able to accomodate us with an early arrival for my mother to have a brief rest before heading to our venue.

Start to finish great experience. Good people, Hotel staff could not do enough for you, they anticipated most questions and provided great support. The Hotel was very clean even with some updating in progress there was never an issue, great on site English style Pub with great food and super service, makes travel a pleasure.

Excellent location, Service and Value for money, Great food at Arthur's Pub! We stayed there for a friends 80th Birthday, the amenities, excellent food and friendly service made it so we could make the most out of visiting with friends. Great Place!

Stayed overnight to visit with relatives.We have stayed here before and would certainly do so again. And Arthur's Pub an absolute delight where we had breakfast. Great omelette. Finishing up a busy Holiday week. The Jetted tub was just what the Doctor ordered.

I've stayed here many times over the last 5 years. Friendly service, comfortable, clean, and reliable. No need to look further. I have used the room service and it is very good. There is always great parking available.

We did the dinner theatre buffet with friends for my birthday and we were not disappointed. We hadn't been in years and were impressed with the improvements. The buffet was excellent, ease of access for elderly people was great and the production of '39 Steps" was hysterical, entertaining, amazing and mysterious all at the same time. The price was also well within the range it should have been. We'll be back

Wonderful stay. Extremely friendly, helpful staff. Large clean quiet room. And a lovely pub with live music on Sunday that actually make's Shepard's pie with Lamb!! I had the fish taco and a glass of wine listening to an Irish band.

From the reception by your front desk staff to your servers in the lounge, we had terrific service. Very welcoming and accommodating, happy to see us and worked efficiently to take care of our big group of parents and girls' hockey team! Clean rooms, we were all pretty much grouped together which was great (not all hotels do that with teams). Pool was fantastic, the girls loved it. Your lounge has incredible food, and great service. Quick out of the kitchen too. Recommend the fish tacos for sure! Thank you for a great stay... from the KGHA Silver Medalists, the Kanata Rabbit Squirrels!!!

Great hotel with a friendly attentive staff. Very comfortable bed and room, with real glasses and coffee mugs! What an enjoyable experience. The pub/restaurant is very fun, with an excellent staff, and good food.

Very good location for hockey tournaments in the Cobourg area. Restaurant breakfast was good, much better than place across the road. Supper in restaurant was very good, nice atmosphere. Rooms were clean as was the pool area and fitness centre.

We love the BW in Cobourg for many reasons. Terrific staff, love the decor of the whole hotel and especially the lobby, very well-maintained. Arthur's Pub fare is amazing and again well appointed. Great servers and chef, can't beat it.

Beautiful grounds ,exterior,main lobby,pool,however the rooms are average.Our first night was not good bed was terrible,went to front desk in the morning got our room changed,clerk was very helpful.Our new room had a much better bed , however the furniture sparse two hard chairs that looked like office furniture from the 50's not comfortable at all .

We were attending a family wedding and overall the hotel was very clean and welcoming. Depending on how long you stay it can become pricey especially if you have a larger family. But all in all a good value and a pleasant stay.

Fantastic staff....friendly people and very personable....I have stayed there often and I can say that this is one of the nicest hotels and cleanest hotels that I and my husband have ever stayed at....we are extensive travelers and I can assure anyone that they will not be disappointed...from the hotel staff to the clean rooms to the entertainment nightly in the downstairs bar...fantastic experience.

The room was decent and clean, but the hallways and stairways have a foul smell (beneath fresh coats of paint). Cleaning staff entered the room despite hanging a Do Not Disturb sign. They did this to a colleague's room as well (while he was in the room). The most disappointing factor is learning upon arrival that pets are allowed in all rooms. I live with a dog and a cat, but do not care to stay in rooms were other pets have stayed (or with the feces I have found in hotel rooms in the past). Best Western should dedicate a portion of rooms for pets and leave the others hair and dander free.

I enjoyed my stay here. I was disappointed as room service was not available at this location. The kids and I enjoyed the pool and the bar/restaurant. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were nice and clean.

staff went out of their way to make this stay great! and restaurant/bar was good as well. It was our anniversary so was given the honeymoon suite - was great! Didn't have to leave hotel as we had dinner at the restaurant and breakfast, very convenient

Stayed with a hockey team. Hotel and staff was perfect. The usual disdain and lack of trust for a young team at the hotel was refreshingly absent, Arthur's (attached pub) was great. Would highly recommend and stay again without hesitation.

So of course this hotel is pet friendly! The drive up room feature is very convenient. The on site restaurant is very convenient. The room is large and the bed was extremely comfortable. The entire staff is welcoming.

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding. Upon booking we were not made aware that a dog show was at the hotel during our stay. We were woken by barking dogs at 5:30 am in the hallways. The barking dogs continued for 3 hrs straight. It was very frustrating!

This was the second time we stayed at this hotel, and it was as nice as the first time. Great staff, clean hotel. Breakfast brunch on Sunday is ok, but wish they had some sort of complimentary breakfast. Price of hotel (unless you have a group rate) is a bit much, but it is a nice hotel. Welcoming to well-behaved dogs, although no garbage bins available outside for dog waste.

Great hotel located close to baseball diamonds, several good eateries and shopping. Check in and out was fast and staff was very friendly. Pool was great for kids to burn off extra energy. Rooms were quite dispute two baseball teams and dog show occurring while staying. Pub had amazing food although slower service. All staff really friendly and super helpful. Will definitely stay again.

Very convenient travel stop on a long road trip. Hotel is located just far enough off of the 401 so that there is no road noise. Nice facilities and very good friendly staff. Live music at the pub a bonus.

Nice and clean hotel with welcoming lobby and hotel staff. The swimming pool was very clean and fun for the kids as it had a dumping tree and bubble floor. Live music in the restaurant was nice. Breakfast was a bit pricey and a buffet would have been nicer to have.

I would recommend this place to family and friends. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very nice, polite and helpful. The Resturant was quite pricey. Overall the whole overnight experience was great. Our Children loved the pool..

Great location! Hotel staff very friendly. Rooms are very clean! The beds are ok... The pool is amazing if you have kids although on the cool side. There is no continental breakfast included and the breakfast at the pub are pricey for what you get. There is a fridge a hairdryer ironing board in room. The wifi works very well.

The Cobourg Best Western has a very nice newly renovated pub restaurant right inside the hotel. The hotel is very comfortable and clean! Very helpful and very friendly staff. Nice pool and great hot tub. Right off the 401 hwy. Very close to the beautiful Cobourg beach.

Required to provide photo id and $200 security deposit despite being a BW rewards member and having completed online check-in. Not offered express check-out. Maid was extremely helpful in locating a couple of items our grandson had left in the room.

Great hotel. Has a pub on sight. Did not visit it on this stay. Pool/ hot tub area is fantastic.Hotel has a gym above the pool. Shopping and food choices within minutes of hotel.Overall a great experience. Will definitely visit this hotel again.

Our stay was very nice. Room was neat and clean. No coffee maker or hairdryer in room. We ate in Arthur's pub for all our meals. We waited and hour one day for breakfast to be served......we had lunch which was Ok.....the garlic mash was overpowering with garlic a tad much even though we love garlic....dinner service was better....surprised there were not more British style food on the menu......Guinness steak Pie is a staple in most pubs......

We were just travelling on highway 2 to avoid the 401 when we came across this Jewell. We had such a great time. The pool was the highlight. There is an English pub that was excellent. Staff in this facilityare wonderful.

Our whole experience from check in to check out was a pleasant experience starting from the moment we arrived.Friendly staff at the front counter to the servers in the restaurant. We felt very much at home & made to feel welcome.

Great greeting at the Front Desk upon arrival! Tasting breakfast the first morning. Incredibly comfortable bed!! Wow!! Made for a great sleep!! We were there for the July 1st Canada 150 Celebration, and liked the fact that it was away from the noise and activity down on the waterfront.

Stayed while visiting family in the area. Rooms are well appointed and updated. As the restaurant was under renovation we were provided with a full breakfast care of the property each morning. The kids loved the indoor pool and we spent many hours there. Great Service.

We have made it a point to go back to this particular hotel for the past 5 years while we visit the Cobourg area. The reason for the repeat stays is from the first moment you walk into the hotel lobby. The staff are friendly, courteous and knowledgeable of the area and attractions. The rooms are clean and roomy with high quality beds that will give you an excellent nights sleep. They have a newly renovated Pub that is quite the attraction. the an excellent menu. At this hotel, we always want to stay longer!

Every aspect of the service of this hotel was bang on. We would recommend it to any traveller. We were staying at the hotel for a family wedding. This was our second time staying there. We felt that it was a better experience than the last one. All the staff were very helpful, beds were so comfortable, food at pub was delicious and the hotel is easily accessable from the highway.

Overall the experience was positive. Hotel clean staff friendly. Facilities good with gym and pool available. Rooms had TV and fridge. Wifi went in and out but generally a strong connection. Room rates did not include breakfast, which in UK is usually standard. There was no discount either for hotel guests. Towels changed regularly. No safe in the room which again tends to be standard in Europe. We were able to use hotel safety deposit box service which was free but not as convenient as safe in your own room. Overall a good experience and I would not hesitate to return or to recommend this hotel.

I Would recommend this hotel and town to anyone .Service and quality was excellent and staff were helpful and very friendly. They went out of their way to get us in our room early so we could get ready for a afternoon wedding. They were so understanding and that goes a long way.

Great location wonderful staff the hotel has a fabulous pool area the new pub has live music we had 60 people and 19 rooms no one had a problem we had 2 dogs and one cat with us the hotel was very pet friendly a good place to walk the dogs

Great customer service from front desk to lounge. Food was excellent in newly renovated pub. Just ask for a door away from the rear exits. The loud banging everytime a person entered or exited was excessive. Having said that I would definitely return and recommend.

Great spot to meet eat and stay. Brand new pub, in English tradition. Menu has great pub food. My shepherds pie one of the best I've ever had. Service was very friendly. Also bangers and mash, steak and mushroom pie, and so much more . Extensive beer and cocktails. Grand opening has yet to occur, but already is open for business. A must .

Overall, the experience was good - clean and good lighting in the bathroom for make-up application. Would not recommend staying for breakfast as food was served slow and cold. The toast was not toasted at all. Bread with cold eggs were not up to standard!

The only problem this time we stayed was in the bathroom. The water pressure in the shower was poor and the hot water was barely hot. Also we found long black hairs stuck to the bathroom wall next to the shower. They were still there after the cleaning. The rest of the room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was excellent and part of the cost of the room.

Hotel is a little dated but everything was clean and comfortable. Room still smelled of smoke from the in-room smoking days. Breakfast - omelette was tasty but bacon was under done for my liking, sausages were overdone and both were cold. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful.

We have stayed here a few times. The staff is always excellent. The rooms are comfortable. Would recommend. Any concerns are dealt with promptly. Plenty of parking. The restaurant was under renovations during our stay so unable to review.

Myself & 2 family members were in Cobourg ON Canada to attend a family dinner & play and were advised that this Best Western would be centrally located for our destinations plus I usually stay in Best Westerns when travelling.

Everything about the stay was great. The only disappointment for a sports group is there is no later check out nor do they book your team in close rooms to each other. Rooms are clean, staff is great, beds are comfy

This hotel feels a little aged and in need of a sprucing up, but it was certainly clean and served it's purpose well. The bed was very comfortable. In fact, much to my surprise, my standard room had three beds in it!!!! The bathroom was adequate but the shower was one of the best I've ever had in a hotel room; great water pressure etc. Front desk service was efficient and professional. Breakfast staff in the morning were professional and attentive. Recommended!

Children's Pool was very good with shallow area for young kids. Hot Jacuzzi was nice for parents. towels were supplied. Hot Breakfast was included as Arthur's Restaurant was being renovated. Strip mall very close by for dinner ie Boston Pizza, Pizza Hut etc. short drive to beach less than ten min.

I stay at this hotel for 2 nights in order to attend a training/conference. Our training was continuously disrupted by loud noise due the restaurant being renovated. In my opinion, the management should never have booked their ballrooms knowing this construction was taking place. I stay in a room on the first floor. The hallway smelt of cigarette smoke for the entirety of my stay.

Rooms weren't as fresh smelling as I would have expected, the bed was atrociously bad and slept on pullout sofa bed as it was more comfortable...staff during stay was ok, except when our group became stranded due to rain delay in our games and were not allowed to extend checkout time at all...was a bit upsetting to make plans for 14+ families all stranded with no local knowledge.

We had to come to Cobourg for an overnight while my husband had some Lions work.....The hotel was wonderful, staff went out of their way and were so friendly and helpful. The quality of this hotel is far superior to a lot of other hotels we have stayed at over the years. It was a wonderful experience.

Overall good experience. Decent location. Close to many amenities/stores. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly. Pool was colder than I expected, as my infant was so cold he couldn't stay in for longer than 5 minutes.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and more than sufficient for our needs. The room itself is not super fancy, but the decor is nice (no peeling paint, stained floors, or run down looking furniture), the bathroom was average sized with a larger than average countertop and although not recently updated was also not rundown or obviously outdated. The pool is amazing for young kids. They have a kiddie pool section with a dumping tree. They also have a bubble mat in the main pool area and two sprinklers. There are two bathrooms in the pool area that are accessible and have a change table in them. The hot tub was nice and large enough for several people at a time. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day which is convenient. The lobby is nice and since the hotel's restaurant was undergoing renovations during our trip they provided a very nice complimentary breakfast that included eggs/omlettes provided by a chef made while you wait. The staff were all very friendly, knowledgable, and polite. Even the housekeeping staff greeted us with a smile when we saw them. The staff made the entire atmosphere of the hotel feel positive. I really enjoyed our stay and will happilly stay again if I have business in town again.

Clean, spacious rooms. Would highly recommend this hotel. Only stayed one night, but everything was wonderful. Restaurant was closed so the hotel provided a complimentary breakfast. Delicious with a good variety of choices.

Staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Fantastic buffet breakfast each day with lots to choose from. The pool was great especially for children. The room was clean with lots of pillows and blankets for the bed. The queen size bed was very comfortable.

The pool was GREAT for our 6-yr old, shallow enough that we were not worried, had sprinkler park type system. Were there for a hockey tournament, the staff handled this really well. There was a breakfast offered as their restaurant was closed, good variety, and pleasant staff. We had an issue, and the manager on duty dealt with it perfectly. would stay here again for a similar event.

First time there usually stay at a compteting brand. Thought I would try. I am in there area 4 x a month. The staff were luke warm. The bathroom fan (controlled by light) was way too loud for me. Loved the bed. For the price with no breakfast included I think overpriced for the area.

My husband and I stayed at this BW for 2 nights this past weekend and I have stayed here a couple of previous times. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful.We had dinner in the restaurant one evening. We did not have the evening special. I had the hamburger and it is definitely not anything to write home about. I expected a handmade pattie at the least, not a prefrozen Costco burger! If possible avoid Room #106,it is at the end of the corridor which is right beside the door leading outside to the parking lot. For a good part of the night after going to bed, it was the door opening and closing and people talking. Very noisy.

We were here visiting my niece. The place is in a good location, and near many other stores. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The service was very good. We spent 2 nights here and it was central to all the things that we were going to do. It was a quiet place. We did not hear traffic or other noises. The one draw back is when they have something at the convention center, that parking for guests becomes hard to find especially when you need wheelchair access.

Hockey tournament weekend, food in Arthurs was simplistic but okay, 1 person became very ill from a dinner on Saturday night. The hotel is dated but they are clearly trying to update. They certainly could be more accommodating to large groups...ie ask for a late checkout and they said no to some people others got 30 minutes extra. No room for socializing and we were asked to leave the bar at 10:00 - even though we were buying drinks and would have stayed for more and snacks.

My wife and I took a road trip across Ontario, Quebec and New England for our anniversary. After leaving Toronto we set off for Montreal in the early evening. After driving a couple hours it was time to rest. The Best Western Plus is about three blocks of Highway 401. There is a shopping center across the street but we did not visit it. We arrived around 1:00 A.M. and I made contact with JT at the front desk. He asked a couple questions about why were so far from home (Oklahoma). After explaining the purpose of our trip, JT gave us a discounted rate and the room had a king sized bed. The room was clean and quiet. The shower head was great as well. The variety of items for the complementary breakfast was plentiful. Check out was quick and easy and we were back on the highway within 5 minutes. I would stay there again if we were in the area.

Rooms were not to my cleanliness standards. Hair on the floor glass stain on desk who knows what. Staff dress code is aging! The hotel is close to almost anywhere in Cobourg and especially from the Highway which is a Plus

Pleasant experience would recommend this Hotel. It has all the necessary equipment to facilitate a conference. The staff were helpful and pleasant. They were able to accommodate our needs, sometimes with very short notice. They worked very hard to please and were receptive to our needs.

Stayed here because it was the closest hotel to a wedding we attended. I was so surprised how clean and enjoyable our stay was. I would recommend this hotel and the brunch on Sunday morning although slow moving was very good.

I've had the pleasure of staying at the Best Western in Cobourg a number of times. Here is what stands out to me. The staff is extremely professional and accommodating. The facility is immaculate both the rooms and the lobby. The ball room is impressive especially for a facility in a smaller town. The brunch has some impressively well prepared items, perfect bacon and french toast. Finally and most conspiciously the beds are a cut above- someone has clearly gone through the trouble of selecting some wonderful sleeping apparatuses. Firm with soft pillow top. The pillows are equally on point. Well done

This hotel is a standard meaning the rooms are the same double queen/bathroom etc for what's in the room; however, the rooms are very clean and more updated. Wifi works perfectly too. The pool area is really awesome - our kids had a blast. It is newly renovated and the fitness area above is basic but quite nice as well. When we were there, they were replacing all of the carpet on in the hallways and down the stairs as well as painting. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We ate breakfast at Arthur's and it was really good. On Saturdays they have a buffet, which was great. The food was cooked perfect and it was hot. I am an extremely picking traveler and I expect a minimum standard when staying at places like this, but I felt this place was nicer.

Stayed here quite a few times. All staff are helpful and nice. Food is very good and drink selection also good. Just nice if had a few more draft beers to choose from. Hotel is getting dated slightly but is clean and comfortable beds.

Ok stayed here last weekend for 3 nights for my kids hockey tournament. Hotel is central and really the only good spot to stay in town. Check in was quick and friendly, rooms clean and bed comfortable. Fridge in every room was nice. Great pool for kids. Restaurant we ate at a few times was good and reasonably priced I must say. Overall the whole staff seemed really friendly and proud to be working there, great job by Management and Ownership. The only thing they blew it on was spreading our hockey team out all over the hotel then them warning us about noise and kids in the hall. The hotel is set up perfectly in sections and they could have/should have put us all in one ward to eliminate this concern. I think they feel spreading teams out makes for less noise when in reality it causes more noise. Work on this guys. Other than that I'd certainly come back and would recommend this hotel, very friendly staff, thanks guys

If you need to stay in Cobourg, unfortunately this might be your best option. The rooms are clean but feel dated. The furniture may be newer by 90s style so it feels dated. Hotel hosts sports teams so if you want to get some rest try another hotel. The entire weekend the "security" guy was running around the hallways slamming doors and hollering at guests. There must be another way to deal with guests. We didnt mind the guests, it was the staff that was disturbing. At one point the "security" guy knocked on our door to tell us that there is no noise complaints against us but if there will be we will be asked to leave. Interesting way to deal with guests who are minding their own business. The front desk staff (T.J.) is rude and argumentative. Our room was located by the gym with with renovations happening as well so it felt like we were in a construction site. There are only 2 locations for ice machine, 1 at the lobby and 1 on 3rd floor, so if you stay on ground floor or second floor pack a lunch to get some ice. This hotel allows pets, so if you have allergies its up to you to ask if your room had a pet in it recently... otherwise you will not know why you are having allergic reactions. If you have a choice there are better options within 15mins drive.

Room was just given a once over and that's about it. Had to get them to come back and clean bathroom floor as it was visibly dirty. Requested a late check out as we had a long wait between games and not one person was give the option for late check out in our entire group.

I was pleasantly surprised that the person who checked me in, and out remembered the reason for my visit (medical appt at a nearby hospital), and enquired how I was feeling, as I left. I will definitely use Best Western for future travel.

Pros: Staff was very friendly and professional, both on the phone when we called to reserve a room and when we checked in and out. The room was clean and the bed and pullout we had were quite comfortable. The shower was very nice with a good range of water temperatures. Cons: No continental breakfast, on top of the already $150+ CAD price on the room for a single queen size bed and a pullout couch.

This is an older Best Western. The rooms are perfectly acceptable, but dated. The front desk is efficient and friendly, but my promised bill was never emailed. The location is okay but a bit strip mallish, which ties you to the restaurant in the hotel that is just acceptable. Overall it seemed a high price for what you got.

After spending the afternoon at the Cobourg Beach (it is wonderful) we checked in here. The Pool Area is great with the water toys for the kids & young at heart kids -- our granddaughters loved it. The Hot Tub is so relaxing and a great size. Definitely will be back and bring more of the family with us.

Had to stop after eight hours of driving. No other options around. Very expensive -$170, there are four of us, but no suites, so we had to get two rooms, so $340, no breakfast included!- for an average hotel. Foyer is much nicer than the rooms. Ours smells like cigarette. We can hear the kids in the next room singing at eleven at night. Beds are comfortable though. Noisy ac. Would not stay here again.

We decided on a little 3 day getaway and picked Cobourg as it's got a nice beach. We didn't make any reservations and just drove to Cobourg. The Best Western was just off the highway and about 7 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes the other way to shopping and restaurants. the staff made us feel very welcome. Our room and the entire hotel were nice, clean, and well kept. Of course it rained on the second day so the pool was a great treat. Great value. We will definitely go back.

We stayed one night at this hotel after an event we attended at the hotel. The food in is really good and the room is clean and the bed is comfortable but we found the cost to be excessive. We considered staying a night in October but we decided it was too much money and made other arrangements.

The Cobourg Best Western is convenient to the 401 and to the town in general. The decor is a bit dated but it is a nice hotel. The rooms are very clean and the bed was very comfortable. I had my wedding here in 1993 so it holds a lot of memories for me.

This is a nice experience staying in the Best Western PLUS Cobourg Inn & Convention Centre, Cobourg, ONTARIO, friendly staff, large and clean room, it is really good for family vacations. I would recommend this hotel to my friend if they travel to this area

We checked in late in the afternoon for a one night stay. Two couples. Reception staff were friendly, polite and professional. Our rooms was nicely furnished, properly equipped and clean. Our bed was very comfortable. All in all a first class accommodation. In the morning we looked forward to breakfast in the bright open "Arthur's Restaurant" dining room. That was disappointing. It was not busy with about 5 or 6 tables occupied. We sat waiting to be served. And we waited. The expected server arriving with coffee didn't happen. After what seemed like an inordinate long time a server arrived with a breakfast meal for a gentleman at an adjacent table. The server was heard to say; "sorry for the delay". The server went away again without acknowledging or looking at us. We waited for another period of time - at least 5 minutes but I think longer. It was then mutually agreed between the four of us of to leave and we did. I can't comment on the quality of the food but the service (actually lack of) was totally unexpected and disappointing which put a dent in what would otherwise would have been a 5-star experience. We settled for Tim Hortons.

Highlight of the stay was the large pool which includes splash pad type toys (dumping buckets, etc) for the kids. It was also very warm and there was a nice hot tub. As far as everything else goes: The Good: Clean and fresh room, was given top floor as requested, great easy to control AC unit with continuous fan option, furniture seemed new, area is convenient with a pizza hut and other restaurants within walking distance. The Not So Good: Property is sprawling which leads to a bit of long walks, no free breakfast (restaurant on site), TV didn't offer many channels. Overall: it's a bit expensive but worth it for the pool alone. Staff were great. Would stay here again for sure.

I cannot say enough about this Best Western. Every one was telling us how good help full and friendly the staff was. The rooms were lovely and clean. The pool was awsome. The people that had never been to Cobourg were very pleased with our town and enjoyed the beach. My husband and I had our celebration party in the ballroom. It was beautiful the food was incredible. I can't say enough about the staff they were the best of the best. Roger you are truly amazing. We also had the band Jack Hammer as our entertainment Bill Fulton as our DJ. When you come to our town please check them out. You will not be disappointed. Cobourg is a great place to visit.

From the momemt you step into the lobby you are met with a sense of welcome. The buffet was always kept neat clean and fresh. Staff were always at the ready to help. Food was delicious and the desserts to die for. Infamous for their bread pudding.

We were at the Best-Western Plus in Cobourg last year and we wanted to experience this hotel and the city again this year.A far drive from Montreal but really worth it.The hotel is well situated,close to the highways ,shopping and restaurants.The town and the beach is about a 5 to 7 minutes drive and a lot of good restaurants,but one of the best is right in the hotel..Arthurs.The rooms are pretty big and ours had 2 queen-beds,a fridge,a big T.V and a Coffee-maker.Good size bathroom.A well-equiped work-out room....but then a swimming-pool....WOW..paradise for the kids and the young at heart and it is more a waterpark...but so well done.Also a hot-tub,that is one of the best and biggest we know of.The staff are well trained and very helpfull\\

We stayed for 1 night and have no complaints. Room was nice, bed was comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful. We went to Arthur's for dinner and we both enjoyed our meals. The chef/owner even came around to see if everything was okay. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this hotel.

Comfortable beds, quick check in, clean, not tired looking and Arthurs family restaurant downstairs service and food was great! We will stay there again for sure. If you are staying in Colburg this is the right place at the right price.

Having not booked accommodation for our first night after landing in Toronto we decided to head to Cobourg. We were shattered and hit on the Best Western as we came into Cobourg. The staff found us a room with 3 double beds (we're a family of 3) and as our body clocks were out if kilter they even agreed we could have a late check out. The room was lovely and large. AC very effective. We ate in the restaurant & had super service from Sophia (?) who recommended all sorts of things to do. We used the pool in the morning after a brilliant breakfast. The concierge gave me map and recommended a run for me in the morning too. All round a super friendly experience in a comfortable setting. Food was really good too - the chips (fries) at dinner were to die for!!

Stayed at the best western for a family wedding weekend. The pool is amazing and very kid friendly. We liked having a ground floor room that we could drive right up to. Great spot. We didn't get to try the food or much else but it is located close to the shops and restaurants.

We stayed one evening with our children. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing. The pool was awesome, it has great features for kids (water squirters, water bubbles from pool bottom, and water splashers). Overall excellent stay!

We recently attended a wedding reception at this location and had a wonderful time. The reception dinner was out of this world delicious and the staff at the hotel were professional yet courteous. We were impressed as well at how quiet it was at night for sleeping. Would highly recommend this hotel to everyone! Thanks for a great experience!!

This hotel is near the Highway 401. There are many parking places and free Wi-Fi. We discovered the very fun pool. It is warm and well adapted for kids of all ages! We always appreciate the mini fridge. The employees are great. There are many good restaurants near the hotel. Cobourg is a very nice City, with a fabulous beach on Lake Ontario. Not to be missed.

All staff were very helpful and welcoming. This location is due for a make over. Although the room was clean the carpets in the room were very stained. The bed was too firm for me and the pillows were too lofty... it would be nice to have two different loft sizes on the bed. Walls not soundproofed enough - you can hear anyone in the halls.

Noisy in the hallways, with many guests participating in tournaments in the area. Hot buffet breakfast, food was not good for the $ charged. Many guests were smoking weed in the hallways/rooms. Hotel did not do much, and we had to sleep with towels under the door. Hallways need to be updated, wallpaper falling off everywhere. Pool was only positive as the kids enjoyed the water feature and hot tub.

The hotel was in a central location for the 3 arenas that we visited. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The refrigerator was quite small and a microwave would have been nice. The kids loved the pool. The restaurant was great. The food was yummy and reasonably priced. The waitresses were lovely. This hotel is a great choice.

We stayed at the Best Western this past weekend for two nights. From the initial contact until the check out date, staff were helpful and friendly. Jasmine took my call for the booking and delivered exceptional customer service. The front desk staff were efficient and accommodating and the housekeeping staff were friendly. This hotel is pet friendly which made it easy for us to bring our puppy-Brian even gave us a welcome doggy treat! The rooms were clean and comfortable and the amenities such as the pool were great. ( I couldn't get the kids out!) I found the standard room rates to be a bit pricey (also the room itself a little tight) and would at least expect a complimentary breakfast to be included. Overall the experience was great and I would return if I were to stay in Cobourg again.

No breakfasts included for 150$ gives this hotel three stars. Nice pool. nice location. Nice room. It's good be better for about a hundred dollars. My opinion would come back if I had too. The bedding was nice.

This was a great, quite hotel in a very small cute town. The hotel was right across the street from the grocery store, gas station and some restaurants. The Restaurant attached had a great menu selection and great service. The hotels Breakfast bar has a great choice of hot and cold breakfast items. I would stay here again any time.

Great place to stay. Would recommend hotel for business/pleasure or a combination of both. We're looking forward to further stays at this hotel, this hotel is also very connected to the social well being of the community and appears very supportive of the residents.

The manager at this hotel was very helpful and friendly. The pool is great for small kids. The room was clean and a good size. The restaurant could use some updating. Only a 5 minute drive to the beach and just down the road from the shopping mall.

Very easy check-in, staff excellent friendly.Only one small detail,there where several stains on the carpet in our room,. We travel with a dog maybe that is a room the assign to pet owners? other than that enjoyed our stay

Although only there for one night, we were very pleased with the comfort and cleanliness of this hotel. The staff was very friendly and most co-operative. We enjoyed a delicious dinner on the evening of our arrival and after the drive, appreciated not having to leave the hotel to find dinner. Arthur's for breakfast in the morning also worked well for us. We were in Cobourg for my husband's cataract surgery, so the proximity to the hospital was a bonus.

My wife and I enjoyed our two day stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our dinner in the dinning room. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. The chef's wife was very nice as well. The room was very clean and comfortable. The Best Western in Coburg is close to the 401 and easy access to the down town area. We ordered breakfast from room service and it arrived in a timely manner. We would absolutely come back and stay here next time we are in the area.

Rooms are great. Quiet. Staff is friendly. Recognize some staff for years. Good sign that employers are good. I don't use the pool or exercise equipment. Boston Pizza and CJ's close walk for additional dining if desired.

Conference room was set up in a very useful manner. Staff was very accommodating. Rooms were all booked close together so as to be close to the meeting room. Beds were very comfortable and the rooms were quite for a restful nights sleep

The cost of dinner and lunch was extremely high for what we were allowed. The facilities were acceptable. Food was good. Servers were a little too efficient. Plates were cleared before one had the opportunity to return for more. As previously mentioned second cups of coffee were not offered. Lunch was somewhat Spartan (soup, sandwiches, coffee and squares.

Hotel and room were clean and staff were very helpful with directions to the hospital and exits from the city to head to the 401 and home. The closeness to eating restaurants and coffee houses were very convenient. We will be staying at the hotel again when my wife's second surgery is scheduled.

This Best Western Plus is tired but very welcoming to travellers with pets -- dog treats and poo bags provided. We had a ground floor room for easy outside access. The hotel is beside a large lot where we could walk our dog and the room was clean, & quiet, with an excellent king bed. It fit the bill for weary travellers who were out hiking with their dog.

This hotel is very well maintained. Every employee is helpful. There are many services not far from the hotel, like a grocery store and many restaurants. Our tablet was out of order, so we were very happy to be able to use the computer in the hall of the hotel.

A little worse for wear. This place needs a bit of an update. Rooms were clean but very small. As a platinum member, I have stayed in a lot of these Best Westerns. TV was small and no HD and terrible reception. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. Maybe because I used points I got a smaller room.

very busy, all rooms full. Staff were awesome, place was clean and everyone working at this hotel went above and beyond to make every guest happy. Would book again!!! They were great when suggesting places to eat with a large hockey group. Try Yorkies take out chicken and ribs!!! Awesome. The team wanted to eat together and the staff opened up a spot over the lobby for everyone! They were very friendly and went above and beyond!

Two sisters met up for an overnight of R&R. Pool area and hot tub - immaculate! Lisa - Front Desk Manager was top notch with outstanding hospitality and helpfulness! Cathy - Arthur's Restaurant Server - Fabulous service - amazing coffee...and home fries with Montreal Steak Spice - the best ever! Brian - Front Desk - BRAVO for excellent guest service! The rooms are fabulous - spacious - and Family Suites ideal for get togethers. Overall - this hotel exceeded our expectations and we are looking for another reason to go back! Thank you :)

I stayed one night while travelling through on business. The front desk staff were very pleasant and I was checked in quickly. The hotel must have had a renovation in the past few years however it still looks tired. The hallway lighting is very gloomy, I thought I was on the set of "American Horror Story"... The rooms are clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Beds were great, very clean rooms. Easy check in and out. Pool was great for kids of all ages. Would stay again. Great staff as well. We went with a group for a tournament and all enjoyed the stay. :)

Service was slow in Restaurant. Food was not spectacular. Did not offer any sort of compensation. Service was also slow. Pool had a lot of chlorine. Very hard on the kids eyes. Came out bloodshot, itchy and red.

After a full day of travelling we made our way off the 401 and into the Best Western Plus. We were greeted warmly and our check in was efficient. The women on front desk was understanding to our needs and selected the best room for us to get the best nights sleep possible. I was impressed with the morning front desk staff as well. We landed, slept and left but it was a good experience, great sleep on a cold, Canadian, winter storm evening.

Decent, mid-range hotel. Good, firm mattress. Updated room and common areas. Nice spa/fitness facilities. Pleasant, helpful staff. Lots of parking. Restaurant dinner buffet was not great, but the a la carte breakfast was quite good. Overall a good experience.

Breakfast was not included and the caost was $145 for one night. Coubourg is very small, in the middle of nowhere and it is a middle of winter, if not hockey tournament we would not choose so pricey place in this town

I stay at this hotel frequently for business. A simple call to the front desk when I am on my way, and they have a room ready for me. Due to my frequent visits, my credit card and information is on file, I simply say my name and everything is dealt with. Room is always clean and fresh. I like the fact that they have rooms on the ground floor with patio doors, so I can get some fresh air, right outside my room. Highly recommend staying here

I can only review the dinner theatre as I live in Cobourg and never needed to stay in one of their rooms. The dinner theatre productions are great. Very entertaining with good views from all tables. The buffet dinner is always good with plenty of choices and great desserts. Friendly staff. Good location.

Stayed here Saturday night. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bedding and matress very good. Mini fridge for your convenience and coffee pot. No microwave but thats a minor inconvenience. Shower worked well, plenty of hot water and good spray. Front desk staff pleasant and efficient. They would not check me in when I arrived because I was not the one to make the reservation. A quick call to my sister cleared me to check in and as two women travelling alone we appreciated the security. No free breakfast but most are worth what you pay for them. (Try the Buttermilk cafe, downtown!) There is also a restaurant on site. Would definitely stay again.

We were staying as a large group. We had several complaints that were unresolved (shower water temperature fluctuation and noise). When we inquired about checking out prior to the original plan, we were told we would be charged for the entire stay due to someone signing a 72 hour cancellation policy. I never personally signed this policy, but they informed us someone signed on our behalf. When we called to reserve our room on the hotel block (about 3 weeks prior to arrival), we were not told about this policy. Our entire group made complaints and instead of giving good customer service, they held stern to the 72 hour policy. I have stayed in Canada every other weekend since September. There have been several other hotels that have allowed us to check out early due to our plans changing. This is the first time we have stayed at a WORST WESTERN. Our group had at least 15 rooms for 3 nights each and our discounted rate was $129+ tax! NO BREAKFAST INCL, NO MICROWAVE, NO HOT WATER AT 7:30am, NO PARKING on Saturday night and the customer service was HORRIBLE! I wrote a review at their request and received an email reply stating that 'they couldn't recreate the hot water issue' ~ so it must have been my imagination?! They made no effort to satisfy this guest. Therefore, I will make every effort to never stay at a WORST WESTERN again.

We checked in Dec 30th for the New Years party 2016. It was rather nice; however we went for the Big Band party and unless you are over 60 or want to use your dance lessons, its may not be for you. We should have been in the party downstairs which I heard from others and the waitresses was a lot of fun and was packed with a DJ. Don't get me wrong the food there was fantastic. If you are big on the seafood and are older or can dance that cha-cha its for you. People were cracking lobsters and crab legs which made me a little nervous as I am allergic Thats all some of the people ate was seafood. So if you love seafood you can get your fill. Our table had people from probably their early 60's to maybe eighty. One couple go every year & are from Cobourg The room was on the main floor as we brought our dog and thought it would be handy. It ended up being awful and drafty. It is also down the hall from the pool so we heard kids running until 10 or 11:00pm, I think it was. The front desk told me we were also beside a double door. I said, please don't tell me I am going to hear banging all night and she said "Oh no" it is double insulated and I heard "banging" all night! The breakfast was excellent, the servers were fantastic; especially the lady running it was most accommodating. Being this was a getaway since my father was in rehab this was our only chance. We checked out early as this was not relaxing and was expensive due to the New Years. I was not going to complain as we had booked four days and I had arranged all my clothes and things in the drawer and was exhausted from my Dad and the drive. Cannot recommend this one as it was not what we were looking for. If you have children or dogs, I think they put you on the bottom floor in the hallway with the pool ?

Sun country electric charging station. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the location was excellent. We had a great weekend stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and comfortable.

We stayed here for the liftlock atom hockey tournament. It was a little far for travel as the games were north of Peterborough and and south... the closest arena was 45mins but the quality of of the hotel was worth it. It was very clean, the staff was extremely pleasant and the Pool was Fantastic!

We where ment to stay in Belleville after our visit on Prince Edward County. Everthing was fully booked and the only place left was best Western Cobourg. The staff was very friendly and helpful to assist us with a room and boy we where glad to have one. The restaurant is not hâute cuisine, but it serves good food. We enjoeyd our stay and the breakfast is lovely by the way, because you can have everything cooked how you like it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the location was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was quite spacious and clean. I was not very happy with the buffet offered to our group. I would stay at this hotel again if I am in the area.

This is a great place to stay, room was big and comfy, beds are super and had an amazing sleep. Only issue was room never got cleaned during stay. Staff was so helpful and friendly. We have 16 kids in the hotel and it went very well.

Staff are exceptional, friendly, helpful and prompt. Accommodation was very clean. Price is a bit high but otherwise very satisfied. Pool is lovely and well maintained. Quality of food in restaurant is high. The main selling feature is the staff, service is top notch.

Had a wonderful time. Fabulous dance band who made the evening so much fun. The buffet dinner was excellent with so many choices. Breakfast buffet was good. Some of the hot dishes could have been warmer.

Like I mentioned in the survey the only complaint I had was the hotel's bedding, not up to snuf when compared to other hotel chains but what GREAT water pressure with the showerhead in the bathroom! Loved that!!

Staff kindly found a more suitable room- with better access to 'outside' and on the ground floor- all to provide a better stay for our beloved dog. They also took the time to make calls for available services we were looking for. The hot tub and swimming pool were a delight for our grandchildren. We had a FAB stay.

I was at the Best Western Monday night with some friends and I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel because not all Best Westerns are that nice. It did not look that busy ( I guess because of the winter) but that made for a quite stay. Did not have a chance to eat at the restaurant or use the pool (both looked nice) . The housekeeping staff was very kind and helpful. A younger blonde girl ( name started with a K ? ) was very kind to us and very welcoming with a smile and telling us to have a nice day when we would walk by her. It's a small act but very thoughtful coming from someone who was busy working and could have simply done nothing . Overall great stay, comfy bed, very clean room, and kind staff! Will recommend to others !

A large group of us on a bus tour stopped here for a Sunday brunch. The dining room was nicely designed, the food was ample and fresh, and the service was professional. I would have liked to see more salads, a larger selection of breads and dips. However, there were some nice touches such as the opportunity to have pasta, omelettes and other choices made at cooking stations. The turkey and roast beef were tasty. Too many desserts to choos from. I am not a buffet fan as I like to be served and like my food fresh and not from warming trays. But it was a nice experience and obviously very popular. Cobourg is a pretty town so it is a good idea to walk around before and/ or after a heavy meal like this.

We had a great weekend stay at this hotel. Our room was the large- 3 bed suite, and it work well with all of our extra hockey gear. Scott (staff member) was excellent with all of the different hockey groups and parents.

Nice hotel with all the amenities. I do believe the price should be cheaper for this hotel compared to a Holiday Inn. The hotel staff were excellent, entrance and rooms very clean. Christmas decorations were up and impressive.

I stayed at the Best Western Plus Cobourg Inn for a Workshop I was giving. The staff were warm and helpful. They clearly made extra efforts to make sure that I had access to everything I needed. The Hotel was very nice, clean, and well cared for. The room was spacious and comfortable. I also had a light dinner in the restaurant, and the food was excellent for a hotel restaurant. There are also many other options in the area.

Stayed in Cobourg for business because Peterborough hotels were booked solid. This hotel seemed really nice from when I stepped into the lobby, but then getting to the hallways, the lighting was very dim and uninviting. The rooms were okay, nothing special. Clean. The restaurant was a bit of a joke...took forever to get a servers attention, and it is also in need of an update. (I'd recommend the German place downtown instead. The food was amazing!)

Excellent location for a conference. Great facilities, fabulous family pool. Our kids were in heaven. We went for a Gala and the conference/banquet room was perfect. The kids didn't want to leave! Thanks for a great stay. Will definitely check in here again the next time I need a hotel room in the area.

We were in Cobourg for a funeral and stayed at the BW. The staff were very helpful and kind, particularly with our situation. We had a suite, as our kids were with us which was very clean and nicely updated., and gave us a good deal of room. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom fan was noisy and came on with the light which was annoying but not horrible. Parking was easy and easy access from the highway. We were altitude worried as there was a wedding on the Sat night and our room was near, but we had no issue. However we were back late ourselves,so no idea if was problematic if you wanted to go to bed earlier.

The accommodations at this hotel are very good, clean and well kept. I was very pleased with the level of service and friendliness that was extended by staff. I'd definitely return to this hotel for an overnight or longer stay.

We stayed here for a night back in the summer. The rooms were comfortable enough and the hotel was clean. The big draw for us was the kids pool which was great (except for the kids softball team which completely took it over with complete disregard for other guests). It has a nice shallow part and some cool water features with buttons that my little one wanted to push non-stop! It would stay here again if I needed a place in the area. We also were able to get side-by-side rooms with our friends who came too, and we got "patio" rooms which opened into the parking lot, which while not scenic, did allow the grown ups to visit a little while the kids slept. The only negative was the onsite restaurant. I have never had such atrocious service in my life. I am not too picky about service in general, but this was awful. It took well over an hour to get breakfast food and we asked them how long it would be (we had starving little kids) and they promised it would take 15 minutes (which is what an omlette should take). It was completely unacceptable and when the food arrived it wasn't even mediocre and it was on the more expensive end of the diner-ish breakfast.

Our son-in-law races in the Nascar Canadian Tire Series. This is the 2nd year we have stayed at this hotel as it is close enough to the track and the town offers lots of things to do. This hotel has an amazing family room with three Queen beds which accommodates our family including our older daughter and grandson. This hotel is clean quiet and their pool is great for toddlers with their puddle jumper with some water features. We will definitely be back.

We stayed here one night. Our room was excellent, great size, well appointed, modern and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. We dined in the restaurant and had the fixed price 3 course meal- it was Columbus weekend and so it was a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, fresh potato and leek soup or salad and a choice of desserts- both of the ones we had were very good and the soup was excellent. The meal was lovely and incredible value for money. We had breakfast in the restaurant the next morning, it isn't included in the price, there was a good choice and again the food was very good.

Our stay at Best Western Cobourg Ontario was for My Niece' s Wedding and Your Facilities were Excellent very accessible . I had my 87 Year old Father with us who by the way Has never spent a night in a Motel and can be quit difficult at times. He remarked to me that he was very comfortable in his surroundings and had one of the best sleep that he has had for quite some time . Made our trip back Home very Pleasant.

we had a a nice stay in the family room with my dad in one room and us in the other. Dad who is 90 had one of his best sleeps ever - a most comfortable bed. staff were excellent very good breakfast we highly recommend this hotel.

our room was clean, small but comfortable. The pool was very nice, great for adults and kids. Nice hot tub. Good night hours. Fitness area large. Staff on front desk very pleasant and recommended a fun place to eat downtown, her favorite and it was great.

Stayed here for business. I have commented in a previous review that hotels under the Best Western flag vary enormously. The Cobourg BW is Best Western at its, well, best. Hotel and grounds are very well maintained by staff who are obviously dedicated and professional. Restaurant staff and food quality (freshness, flavour, presentation) were outstanding and, frankly, of the type usually only seen in much higher-end hotels and resorts charging triple the price I paid here. Front desk staff were friendly and efficient. My room was tasteful, clean, and well-appointed, if not luxurious. This is a hotel whose staff care about doing things right, and it shows. Congratulations to management & staff! Highly recommended.
