SureStay Plus by Best Western Buckhannon

Our hotel room has not been cleaned. It is absolutely filthy with hair all over the bathroom floor. The shower floor has hair and debris in it. The sink is also dirty. The woman at the front desk was super friendly and happy to listen. But it does not change the fact that we are paying to stay in an unsanitary location.

They cancelled my reservation twice but I finally got a room after complaining to a manager. They claimed I booked through a third party but I booked through their website. The WiFi was down my first night and the TV never worked. My phone service was one bar as I was on the first floor and couldn't access good service. The bed squeaked like a shopping cart and was as hard as a box spring. The complimentary breakfast was decent.

Katherine, who was on the front desk when I checked in was terrific. Both pleasant and efficient despite the fact that she had received minimal training. My room was very nice and had everything I needed. I did find that the floor of the bathtub was very slippery. Possibly because of whatever they used to clean the tub. Rubber strips laid in the bottom of the tub or a rubber mat would have been helpful, and I would recommend the use of such an item to avoid injury to a guest. There were two remotes for the TV. One I couldn't get to do anything. The other works fine. There were certain channels like some of the sports channels which weren't available and which would've liked to have watched. The next morning, I heard another guest complain that the waffle mixture dispenser was not working properly. I tried the bacon and sausage, but it was ice cold despite the fact that there was another hour of time left before breakfast was over. The motel was unable to give me an accurate receipt of what I had paid because I had made my payment through TripAdvisor online. I've never run into that situation before. I was able to use the emailed TripAdvisor confirmation of my reservation, which had the amount on it . I use that for my expense account.

This is a clean, comfortable pet-friendly hotel that we would stay at again if we were visiting the area with our dog. Staff was friendly and check-in/check-out was easy. Breakfast was very good, coffee was available 24/7, the queen bed was comfy, and the room was clean. There were no stains or odors to indicate other pets had stayed in the "pet-friendly" room previously. There are grassy areas on the property for dog potty breaks and a pet waste station for bagged dog waste. The pet fee was $25 per night.

Conveniently close to campus.The hotel was easy to find and to get to. Lobby had nice sitting and breakfast area. Fresh cookies at check in. Typical breakfast choices. Breakfast attendant was helpful and courteous. Overall hotel was clean although the toilet in our room kept running.

very clean and easily accessible major chain hotel in the Buckhannon area. Clean rooms, welcoming staff, no problems nor issues. Would stay again

I was very happy with this place , only trouble was TV did not work. It took till the fourth night to get the TV to work, this was a big concern , as my wife was with me. She was on me for three and a half days , I only wrote this much because they wanted 200 litters

Frankly there isn't much that the town of Buckhannon offers, you can see/do everything in one day. However it is a great location to go anywhere in the Central/North part of the state without the expense of the cities or high-end lodgings

Everything was great. Just wish we had more hot breakfast options. The rooms were spacious an comfortable. Could have used heavier blankets, had to crank the heat up for comfort. Great hot water for showers or baths

We held a family reunion in Buckhannon and booked rooms here. They had a little meeting room where the family could meet and get together. We have musicians in our family so we gathered here in the evenings and sang and visited. Rooms were clean and staff was hospitable. Would stay there again.

If you need to stay in the Buchannon WV area stay here! Great place and convenient to services and food. Staff is excellent and the rooms and lobby are well appointed and very comfortable. You won't be disappointed!

We had a storm come through. That took out our power and we had no heat. It was very cold that couple of days sure, stay give us a room at a discounted price because we didn't have heat at home. So we were allowed to bring our pups. Treatment from the staff was exceptional the end. The rooms were nice and clean recommend to anyone.

Employees are very kind and pleasant! Other guests were super respectful of one another. We had a very long drive to get there and the hotel was so quiet, as it always is. Beds were comfortable. Room was super clean!

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and the accommodations were excellent. We hand a kind suite that had a small kitchen area with a refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave. They offer a continental breakfast daily and homemade cookies in the evening as well as a small store to buy toiletries, snacks and drinks.

Wall mounted AC had some sort of issue and made a loud screech when is started up, enough to wake me up. Bed was really hard and bedding was old. I ended up across from the elevator which was also a noise issue when I was finally able to fall asleep at 5AM. It just wasn't a good night sleep for a variety of reasons.

Clean rooms, polite and professional staff. Decent breakfast. We came here expecting to move into a house we had a contract on. That fell through and ended up staying here for 6 weeks until we found and closed on our current home. The staff was incredible every day.

I had issues with my room - missing drain plug, tv not working and I was put next to the elevator and ice machine which was extremely noisy. I traveled with my baby and these items caused us to have a miserable trip. Without the drain plug, bath-time was an obstacle. No tv to block out the noise from the hallway. And being next to the elevator and ice machine we were up all night due to the noise. I didn't sleep at all while we were there. When I brought these issues up, I was told there was nothing they could do when they could have had someone look at the tv, provide a plug, or move me to another room. Very unhappy with this.

Checking in we told the clerk that we had not slept at a previous hotel and would love a really quiet room away from the road. She placed us in a ground floor room and as soon as we walked in the neighbors in the room next door started blasting music. We called the clerk down, her name was Lisa P, so she could hear the noise and she immediately went to work to put us in another room. The other room was quiet. We were able to rest. Breakfast next morning was good. Check out was easy.

Wonderful stay, great staff, fantastic breakfast. Staff was great about helping out with complimentary toothbrushes, shampoo and conditioner. My hair loved their hair products. The fresh baked cookies was such welcoming touch.. Thanks so much! Terri Lee,BSN,RN,MA

I requested a specific room. Arrived to find they had gave my room away. No worries for the most part they gave me another room. I made it into that room and it was very hot and the AC did not appear to work. I contacted the front desk and asked them to find me another room. They did and the cooling system worked well. It was not a suite like I had reserved and it was the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in but the AC worked and the bed was comfortable. Only issue with that room is that the shower head due to a leak sprayed water on the wall above the shower. I tied a towel around it and reported that at the end of my stay.

Upon walking into my room, I was shocked to see there is a mirror on the wall behind the bed. I thought this was very freaky and spent my entire stay worrying if it was a 3 way mirror. I felt very tight as the room is very small. Overall it was clean but nothing to brag about. It didn't feel like a very welcoming safe environment.

They have outstanding customer service and very clean beautiful rooms. The breakfast area was very clean and the location was very close to dinner and even general shopping such as Walmart and Buffalo wild wings.

We had a wonderful 3 days at SureStay in Buckhannon WV. We were there for a family's memorial service. We were able to visit family in the area and staying in the hotel was more relaxing.than staying with family members.

Clean, comfortable, convenient location. Price was good. This was our second stay and will return. The staff was friendly and helpful. Easy to get to and a five minute drive to downtown. Can't go wrong.

Nice Hotel, could be a bit cleaner with towels and bathroom amenities, but overall nice stay. I didn't want to have to have 200 characters for my review, sometimes less is more. When in Buckhannon this is not a bad place to stay.

This was a college move-in day trip and this hotel gave a great discount for college parents. This place is clean. I gave 4 stars because breakfast was a little lacking but may have been busier than expected. Just a decent place to stay.

The hotel is meticulously clean, quiet, and the staff friendly and polite. Breakfast was simple but fresh and well stocked, perfect for the price. When we were in need of extra linens, Lisa could not have been nicer and helped us out immediately. I would definitely stay here again.

Surestay was a treat. Everything was very clean. The staff - whether morning, noon or night were friendly and helpful! The free breakfast was prepared well and the eating area was extremely clean. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Motel is clean and safe. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Nice little picnic area around back. It's my choice of motels when staying in Buckhannon. Shawna and Lisa keep things in tip top shape! Breakfast bar was decent. The lobby is welcoming.

Lisa and the other front desk workers were amazing! Very friendly and helpful! So glad we found this gem to visit my son up at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Close to Campus and a good value for the price!

Everything was nice a clean and workers were very nice. They were very helpful and I had no problems. I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a room on vacation. I like that they had more places to enter the building as well.

Room was dirty, counters too. Something left by previous guest still in bathroom. Ac was broken. Room humid and musky. Asked for it to be fixed and she gave us a fan. Fan was broken unless it was on lowest setting due to one missing bottom piece to keep it sturdy. Both daughters age 2 and 6 months couldn't sleep. Red flushed cheeks and sweating. Crying and all. After constant complaining she finally switched us rooms at 12:30-1am.

Keep up the great work! Employees are very kind and helpful! Quiet and nice! Great location! I am coming back to this hotel! Night shift staff are very welcoming & efficient! Please don't complain about "room size"...because it's called MICRO tel for a very specific reason!

a broken sink and on the name of breakfast - an apple and a bar will be handed over. I had to specifically ask for toiletries to be handed over and I asked since I heard that option was being told to the People who checked in before me but the same option was not re-iterated to me. there are hotels who are managing the situation better and yet providing better services not an extreme cookie cutter approach.

Microtel Inn was a blessing to this tired nurse. The staff was always very helpful and pleasant. The room and hotel was very elegant and clean.
