I have really enjoyed my stay so far. I have traveled here from NewYork and I'm really thankful for the staff at the front desk it was a gentleman who.went on above to accommodate me I really appreciate it.

I don't know where the high ratings came from for this place. Stayed with my husband and two young kids two nights for the Bama vs. USC game. Cons: Was so grossed out by the room that I had to take a xanax to fall asleep. The duvets were disgusting, not just stains but literally not even cleaned. My feet turned black from the floors that may have been vacuumed but desperately need mopping. The walls were dingy and falling apart, so many stains from all kinds of things, so gross. Our key cards almost never worked. Pros: A/C worked great, no noise issues, staff was friendly I have traveled the world and have a pretty high tolerance for hotel rooms, but this really put me over the edge. YUCK

470 p Doris pate dr. Tuscaloosa al 3540. The rooms are nice. The entry was amazing. Double beds, early booking, waived fee, great personality, and great training. The things is the owner didn't know that saved me from abuse on my first day booking. He re ensured me safety and I really appreciate the honesty, loyalty and true to his word. But I also have her God father for look out through the night to be very clar on my child's safety. The o owner of this place is a heaven sent from above. Thank you

This is my absolute favorite place to stay when I'm in Tuscaloosa. A nice quiet hotel with great staff. I've never felt unsafe here traveling solo. The owner is fantastic! He goes above and beyond, and he's so very friendly. I can't say enough great things about this place! Next time you're in Tuscaloosa, check it out.

I travel to Tuscaloosa twice a year and I always stay at SureStay By Best Western. I have always gotten excellent service. I love the breakfast. I love the location of motel and how quiet the area is. The rooms are always clean for the value of the rooms.

The experience at this hotel was very family oriented and accommodating, the staff and the manager are very down to earth. Answer all my questions with concern and urgency. Food is good. Room is comfortable. Thank you for the stay, I will be returning !

My experience has been amazing. The manager Huey is very accommodating and friendly. I arrived too early and he allowed me to check into my room instead of waiting around for hours. The lobby is decorated so nice and the price of the room is very reasonable. The service is TOP TIER!!! I will definitely be back.

I had a little problem when I first came in Sunday night. I informed them of it Monday morning and it was fixed by the time I got back in from work! Awesome customer service!! Everyone was extremely nice and friendly!

I had a wonderful stay at SureStay Hotel! The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is in a great location. There are plenty of great restaurants within a few miles, along with a Walmart Supercenter, Aldi, several pharmacies, and convenience stores, making everything you need easily accessible. A special thank you to the manager, Huey, who truly goes above and beyond to make every guest feel welcomed and comfortable. His kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel has a quiet yet lively atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax while still being close to everything. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back!

My stay at this hotel took an unexpected and extremely unprofessional turn because of the manager, Huey. The two front desk attendants were wonderful — patient, respectful, and genuinely trying to help — but my interaction with the manager was the complete opposite. I first spoke with Huey over the phone at around 3 a.m., when he claimed he couldn't find my reservation in the system. Even after I provided proof of payment from my credit card transaction, he threatened me three separate times with criminal trespass and said he would call the police. At one point, he even told the attendant, “stop talking to him, I know how these people are,” which was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. Huey insisted that unless I paid again for the room, he would call the cops. His tone was accusatory, dismissive, and hostile — not something any guest should ever experience, especially when providing proof of payment. After I finally said I would not pay twice and agreed to leave, he somehow found my cell phone number and called about five minutes later to “apologize.” The apology felt forced and not sincere in the slightest. The front desk attendants were great and handled the situation as best they could, but dealing with Huey was unacceptable. His behavior was threatening, unprofessional, and completely out of line for someone in a management position.

Hotel was very reasonably priced, easy accessible location, breakfast was much better than average (hot buffet), and Mr. Harris at the front desk had a fantastic, positive attitude! Would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Huey and Ben are the best in customer service and helping get you settled in! This is the second time staying here and it is top tier again. Room size was big enough since I was traveling with my 3 children. I had my separate bedroom so two different TVs to view. It was clean and quiet at night for a peaceful rest. Next time I'm visiting home I definitely book again!

The team here at SureStay by Best Western is fantastic! The staff is kind and professional and do everything possible to make your stay comfortable. The location is convenient and provides quick access to major businesses. The rooms and premises are kept clean and the cameras provide added safety and security for those staying here. The staff is also very accommodating. We had a change in plans and as a result needed to modify our stay dates. The morning of checkout, when all other area hotels were booked and prices in the area were substantial, Huey worked to offer us a reasonable rate for the extension of our stay. We realize he was under no obligation to do this, and to know that our continued stay and experience was more valuable than charging/receiving a rate up to 2x the approximate average area rate, just said a lot about who they are here.

The staff is excellent and extremely helpful. Everyone who works here is very accommodating! I enjoyed my stay here! The beds are comfortable and they breakfast that's prepared is delicious. The owner Huey is the greatest and really takes care of his guest.

I won't throw shade on other reviews here but our experience was less than 1-star. We should have been suspicious when this was the only hotel available in Tuscaloosa for a football game weekend when we booked just a few weeks in advance but the TA reviews convinced us we should give it a try. The two hotel rooms we had were in serious need of refurbishment and repair. The breakfast was OK for a budget hotel but there is a Cracker Barrel next door and a Waffle House nearby for a much better breakfast and coffee. Our room had an infestation of ants during our stay. One of the employees came and sprayed which made the room uninhabitable for a couple of hours until the odor cleared. The king bed in our room was very uncomfortable. You could even feel the springs in the mattress which provided very little support. One positive was the staff who were friendly and helpful. However, all things considered, if you have no other choice as a last resort it's an uncomfortable bed and four walls so you'll be protected from the elements.

First shout out to Destinty the night young lady for helping us choose this hotel we called traveling from Georgia needed to stop in Tuscaloosa and she called her manager to approve our cat and he was so polite told her check us in and waive fee, the next morning I was greeted with a big smile 😀 the breakfast was good the bacon 🥓 was crispy but the only issue we had four people and there were only three towels in room bur they did provide us with, other than that the hotel was comfortable and yes we will return

I don't know how many times we have stayed at this hotel over the years, Mr. Huey and his staff seems like they are always ready to do what ever is necessary to insure our visit is great. I had another wonderful visit with SureStay in Tuscaloosa. The location is right off I-59 at a non congested interchange. The hotel is clean, the staff is super friendly and conscientious, and Mr. Huey the General Manager, makes certain that every guest has a pleasurable stay. He also greets guests in the breakfast room and wishes them a safe journey when they check out. SureStay in Tuscaloosa feels like a home away from home. It is budget friendly for anyone seeking a safe, clean , comfortable night's stay. The Cracker Barrel adjacent to the hotel parking lot is an added bonus for a great inexpensive dependable meal after a long days travel.

We had an outstanding stay at SureStay by Best Western in Tuscaloosa, Alabama! Our group traveled with two youth basketball teams for the state tournament, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly for us. A special shoutout to Huey — he is the man! He made sure every accommodation we needed was taken care of and treated our group like family from the moment we arrived. The entire staff was incredibly personable, helpful, and welcoming. Traveling with large youth groups can be challenging, but they made the experience easy and enjoyable for everyone. We truly appreciate the hospitality and will absolutely stay here again the next time we're in Tuscaloosa!

I had a really great stay here! It's close to the highway and restaurants. We had some problems with our booking but Huey at the front desk really too great care of me and my husband. The breakfast as well was phenomenal, as they had so many great varieties. I recommend anyone that's visiting Tuscaloosa AL to stay here for your trip. I promise you won't be disappointed!

Many thanks to Huey and his staff for another lovely stay. I had several hours of work to do and so having that large desk, enough outlets/USB ports for my equipment and a comfortable chair made it all easy. The room was easily accessible, clean with comfortable bed as well as easy to operate heater/AC so the stay was perfect!!. As a single woman traveling alone, I always feel very safe there. Big shout out to Kym the night lady after a long drive she was able to get me and my cat in right away. She did have to call the manager to get it approved. He was nice when we met the next morning. The kicker for us. Mr. Harris waived the 25.00 pet fee and said merry Christmas to sam our cat. For that reason and the room was just right in size. I will return whenever visiting Tuscaloosa. Please make sure to give Kym a raise she deserves it.

My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, I slept so good I almost missed checkout. Now the manager? Man, give him a raise, a trophy, and maybe his own holiday. He's one of those rare managers who actually cares. Super friendly, respectful, and on top of EVERYTHING. You ask him something, he doesn't just point, he makes sure you're taken care of like you're family. If he ever quits, this whole building might fall apart emotionally. Great rooms, great staff, great manager, honestly one of the easiest, smoothest hotel stays I've had in a long time. If you come here, know you're in good hands. From the amazing experience that I had with the staff...to the comfort of the room, this hotel is deserving of the 5-stars I've given. I was greeted by an amazing desk clerk when I arrived. She was very personable. The cleaning staff came by daily to see if we needed anything. The breakfast was prepared and hot every morning. The owner is simply amazing!!! Every need was meet and exceeded and I would definitely stay at this hotel again (and would recommend it to everyone). The size of the room was perfect and it seemed to be soundproof. I had a 5-day stay and the price was definitely in my range. I unexpectedly needed to add an additional day and they were so understanding and patient. The location is great also. The interstate is quickly and easily accessible, and there are good restaurants and gas stations close by.

Great thanksgiving choice we usallly stay at the Marriot wanted to step outside our norm. Besides saving money the rooks are very spacious and sinks and barn doors are pretty nice. Destiny checked us in and she was nice and helpful. We ate the cracker barrel next door. Which was a convenient. We are coming back for Christmas to visit family and we will definitely stay here again.

Huey was the guy who checked in me and my husband. He was an upbeat guy who after discussing what we are going through waved the pet and deposit fee. The room was clean for the most part; the lamp on the desk was still dirty and the tub could be replaced. Wish the water was warmer but I am one of those that if there's no steam I get bummed out lol. The breakfast option was limited to; cereal with no milk offered, apple/orange juice, fresh coffee, muffins, overcooked sausage, sausage gravy, and bland eggs. It was quiet throughout the night. The location offers a good amount of food options. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. I would stay here again because it was worth what was paid for but I would bring my own food for breakfast next time.

I have traveled many miles. Stayed in many different places. But SureStay by Best Western in Tuscaloosa is by far the most wonderful hotel of all. Being welcomed by Ben is always the most memorable of the journey. He is witty and charming. The manager, Huey, is amazing as well. They waved my earl check in fee!!!! The rooms are always immaculate. This isn't my first rodeo with them. I would stay here over any other location just because the customer service is top notch, 5 STAR 🌟 service each and every time. The breakfast 🍳 is delicious. And the location allows for easy access to restaurants and numerous hot spots in Tuscaloosa, AL. I love this hotel. I always come on home games. The rooms are always clean. It's a very nice a quiet place to bring your family. They even have breakfast which is always nice. Overall I love this place and the owner is awesome.

We chose this hotel for our Alabama Homecoming football weekend Nov 13-16 (3 nts) simply because there was nothing else available in Tuscaloosa which should have been warning enough. First the good and why 2 stars and not one star - the staff is very friendly and helpful and the location is good. Otherwise the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel in general is not clean and looks rundown. The furniture in our room looked like it was bought at a garage sale - quite worn and very dated. The entry door was dented in several places and was dirty. The shower water control was broken so that getting hot water was a trial and error exercise. Our king bed mattress was very uncomfortable and you could feel and hear the inner springs whenever you moved. Worst hotel mattress ever. Our comforter was stained including one stain that appeared to be blood. There was an infestation of ants that came from one of the power outlets. The manager came and sprayed the area promptly but just the existence of ants suggests there is no regular pest control service. The breakfast is typical budget hotel fare but not a good variety - coffee, yoghurt, juice, biscuits, gravy, cereal, egg & cheese frittata, bacon or sausage, fruit. Coffee tasted terrible. Go to Cracker Barrel or Waffle House nearby for a decent breakfast. Ice maker worked well. Very little noise from the highway but rooms facing back of hotel are quieter. Our daughter and her friend in a different room could smell marijuana smoke but couldn't tell if it was coming from another room or outside the hotel. In summary, we cannot recommend this hotel in good conscience unless it's your last resort.

My experience with SureStay was 5 star rated. The staff Mr. Huey, is amazing. He's smile warms your heart with "Welcoming". I truly recommend this place to family members, friends and people who need a temporary place of rest and relaxation. The breakfast is always hot an ready, rooms are super clean. This hotel is a very elegant, clean, and safe place. The breakfast is amazing. The rooms are very clean and beautifully designed to say the least. The beds are very soft and cozy. The water pressure is also very good as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful in every single aspect. The manger is an amazing person and a man of God as well. My family and I felt very safe here and the staff was so friendly and attentive they made us feel like we were family. The art work in the lobby is very beautiful as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone whthere it is for a game day trip or just a nice cozy place to relax and enjoy your time with your family,friends,or loved ones. It is also pet friendly. It is definitely the best hotel i have ever stayed at in Tuscaloosa Alabama and will definitely be returning several times even if it's just for one night to bring my kids to have pizza and a “hotel” night. And the prices are very reasonable for the quality of the peace and tranquility of the environment in the hotel. Don't sleep on this gem of a hotel. Well worth every penny spent to say the least.

This hotel was one of many we stayed in during a recent trip. The customer service was superb from the moment we called to book a room, to the day we checked out! The exterior is very unique and appealing , and the lobby very creatively designed! If you are an Alabama football fan, this is the place to visit (We happen to be Aggies and still loved the decor!). Stayed here based on reviews for parent's weekend. The hotel was not clean and was very poorly maintained. The power went out and we had to get ready for the tailgate without lights, power (no hair dryer), or the benefits of a warm breakfast etc. I will not be staying here again.

I would never stay at this hotel again. The entire experience was disgusting and unacceptable. The room was filthy from the moment I walked in — the bedding looked used and had visible stains, the toilet and bathroom were grimy and clearly hadn't been properly cleaned, and the floors were dirty enough that I didn't want to take off my shoes. The TV didn't work, and the remote not only didn't function but was covered in something that looked like dried boogers — absolutely vile. To make matters worse, the power went out across the entire hotel during my stay, and no one offered updates or assistance. The property manager and hotel manager were completely unresponsive and showed zero concern for guest comfort or safety. This property needs serious attention, proper cleaning staff, and management that actually cares. Until that happens, do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else.

Came to a job interview and chose Surestay Hotel because of a friend who lives in Birmingham referred me to this spot- very welcoming! Very nice hotel to start off. We came here based on reviews and I can tell you first hand. It's not a Hilton but the customer service is better and we stay at hiltons all the time, but wanted to step out of our comfort zone. The night lady Destiny check us in gave us a late check out at 1pm after getting managers approval you would think the manager would be upset calling at 1am but he was extremely nice over the phone and waived our pet fee and deposit we will be back and staying here

We have stayed at this hotel each time we come to Tuscaloosa since we moved to Florida 4 years ago. My grandmother passed away & we had to make some quick accommodations after getting into town along with my parents. Huey was so accommodating to our needs as always. He helped us so much during a very sad and stressful time. It took a huge weight off of us to not have to worry about our accommodations. He treats us like family. We'll be back soon!

Shockingly, the front desk manager admitted they had made similar requests seven times the previous day, which raises serious concerns about their operational integrity. When I expressed my discomfort, citing the obvious security issues, the staff responded with verbal insults and promptly cancelled my reservation. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also indicative of a complete disregard for customer safety and trust. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel. Their handling of sensitive information and treatment of guests is unacceptable and potentially fraudulent. Choose a more reputable establishment that prioritizes customer security and professionalism.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my family and had a great experience. The front desk is available 24/7, which is convenient for check-in. hotel is pet-friendly, The location is quiet and feels safe . It's right next to I-20, , and Cracker Barrel is just next door, Walmart is near by. which made super convenient. Manager, Huey…………, is a really nice guy and very helpful. . I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We arrived late in the evening. Walked in to a lobby that is furnished with outdated furniture. I couldn't see anyone behind the counter so I walked up to see if there was a bell to ring. There was a young lady sitting in an area where she couldn't be seen. She never got up from her chair nor acknowledged me other than to look at me. I gave her my name. She pulled my reservation and said fill out the hi-lighted area. I filled it out she gave me my key and put her head back down. We got the luggage cart which had something spilled on it. It was filthy and hard to maneuver. It took two of us to get it in our room. The room had a foul odor. I can't explain it but it wasn't good. The window in the room looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in years. The bed was comfortable. I had to turn the rattling air conditioner down to 64 to get the room cool enough to sleep. The room wasn't dirty but it felt like it was. The baseboards are chipped and need painting. The doors all need cleaning and paint. The entrance was not appealing. The mat was nasty. The breakfast was good. The lady taking care of the breakfast area who was also the morning desk clerk was very friendly. All in all major updates and cleaning needs to be done.

My husband and I had the most peaceful night @ the Sure Stay Best Western, Tuscaloosa. Huey Harris has been so very warm, and welcoming, and has exemplified excellent customer service. His staff, particularly the front desk agent, Natalie, was sweet, pleasant & super helpful. We are in the process of purchasing a home, which is super stressful, however, Sure Stay Best Western has been a blessing to us & we look forward to staying here while we find our forever home. My encounter at this Best Western location has left me feeling completely disgusted. My reservation confirmation indicated a $111 fee for cancellations made less than a month in advance. I was charged the FULL AMOUNT of $877 rather than $111 because I canceled a week in advance. Reaching hotel management was like pulling teeth. When I eventually got through, no accountability was given. Instead of solving the problem, the manager referred me to Best Western's main customer service. This has become an inactive dark hole. I've called Best Western corporate five times to explain my dilemma, provide details, and ask for aid, but each time, I've been met with platitudes and no action. This feels like stealing, not simply poor customer service. I lost $766 without a valid explanation, apology, or conclusion to this misery. Prevent this motel at all costs to prevent stress and money. I won't stop until my $766 is refunded. 6 days prior

My stay was pleasant. It was a quick stop to rest. Check in was very fast and the young man at the counter was very nice. Great customer service. I would stay again. Tip, please don't wake people up early to do system checks, wait until after l0am at least.

This is one of the best places I've stayed at. I was stuck in town because of car issues, and booked with this place because of the great prices. My experience here has been awesome. The owner and his staff exhibit excellent customer service and are readily available if anything is needed. The property is super clean, quiet, and comfortable. There's a hot breakfast in the morning and it's very tasty. The owner truly cares about his property and it shows. I felt very safe here traveling solo. Sure Stay is the place you wanna be next time you're in town. You won't be disappointed!

The experience here is always pleasant . The staff is very helpful and always welcoming. I had the pleasure of meeting the Hotel manager and he is one of the most professional and helpful people I have meet. My husband works construction and is staying here. I often stop by to drop off necessities. I'm always greeted with warm smiles and always asked can I be assisted. I am grateful to the staff for making my husbands home away from home a pleasurable experience.

For the price I should not complain. But I must be honest. The pillows and mattress are very hard. The biscuits were cold and hard. But there is a Cracker Barrel next door. The front desk guy was friendly. The room was clean, large and nice. For the price, the value is good.

I've also posted this review on google but I decided to copy paste this as I feel like I articulated well and if it ain't broke don't fix it…. So let me just start this off by saying that all my time traveling for work and all the hotels and motels I've stayed in. This is the first time I've been anywhere to stay and have the hospitality be so incredibly genuine. Everything from the decor to the absolutely delightful staff working there was above and beyond not only did he reduce the price of my room before I made it to the hotel via phone call. He dropped the price further after we spoke, eliminated my deposit and allowed me to have my girlfriend‘s dog in the room for no extra charge whatsoever. Huey was so incredibly thoughtful and kind that I was suddenly made aware of the shortcomings of nearly every place I've stayed previously after only a few interactionsand you could tell that it was coming straight from the heart in a sincere way and unbeknownst to me before my arrival it turns out I needed the incredibly kind and respectful treatment as much as I needed a good nights rest, Safe to say that after everything, they've done the quality of the rooms, the quality of the staff the quality of pricing I could've stayed at a much more expensive hotel, and simply didn't need to because everything I wanted and needed. It was already right here at the Sure Stay Inn. I honestly can't recommend this place enough. Tuscaloosa has incredibly high rates and when I booked my room it was not only the cheapest but was almost at max capacity and the gentleman still didn't use that moment to price gauge. 10/10 Huey you rock dude!

Great Small Hotel in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, nice people, cozy, clean, beautiful. It feels like home. Very updated. Good price. Delicious FREE hot breakfast, eggs, sausage, potatoes biscuits, breads, pastries, cereals, yogurts and fruits. We definitely will come back!

The room and hotel was clean. Our interactions with staff were positive and helpful. However, breakfast was lame. Very few food items available and most of the containers wer never used. The shower did not work properly and was very weak. Also, guest information about the hotel from the sheet in the room conflicted with hotel practice. For instance, the information sheet in the room said breakfast was served until 9:30am. The desk clerk said it ended at 9am. There were other discrepancies as well. A minor compaint but it should be remedied.

Loved it! I usually hate staying in hotels but I can honestly say I have zero complaints about this one. Will be staying there on my return trip in April. The staff was so friendly and efficient. The rooms were dirty with stained bedding and musty old smell. Asked for a refund and they refused, could not stay there ended up leaving, so we were out of more money for the weekend because they do not keep the property clean. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Also the pictures on the website are not of the hotel in Tuscaloosa, false advertisement!!!

By far the most pleasant hotel experience I can recall having in years. The rooms were clean and spacious. The staff was so helpful at directing me to things to do in town. The towels were fluffy. The manager Mr. Huey is great. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The breakfast was soooooo good. They had a great variety of things to choose from and it was kept well stocked. The staff seemed more than happy to answer any questions me and my husband had. Even the price of the room was great. I customer for the weekend to spend time with my child and the people at sure stay made sure we all felt at home. everyone there was polite, respectful and made our visit worth a stay. I came in a little early for the check in but huey greeted me, thanked me for visiting his hotel and check in me in! not to mention the hotel was a pleasant and a very quiet place. This hotel is a hidden jewel! It's right off the internet and nestled between a cracker barrel, waffle house, taco bell and burger king! Other favorites are also no far away. Mr. Huey was an amazing attendant! He was very accommodating for an early check in! The place is clean and quiet. The outside of the property is nicely decorated and made me wish I had more time to enjoy the set up! It's definitely a fantastic deal for the price!!

We liked this hotel and would stay again for a quick stopover. Room was adequately clean, bed was adequately comfortable. Not too terribly noisy. Didn't have the breakfast. The one thing that we didn't like was the sliding style barn door for the restroom. Not enough privacy when using the facilities. Other than that good stay. But I wouldn't want to share this kind of room with anyone besides my husband who is honor bound to put up with my bathroom noises.

We recently stayed during the Alabama V Auburn game and I must say the breakfast was a hit..it was hot and fresh!! Our room smelled nice & fresh, very comfy bed. They booked us into a room with a completely broken window. They had no other room to give us. They charged us for the whole stay even though they did not have a room for us. They made us pay for their inability to provide the service agreed upon. This was a motel, with mold and decay at every turn.

Couldn't imagine staying anywhere else after experiencing the bed and breakfast home away from home experience me and my family had at the Surestay of Tuscaloosa! I can't say enough good things about this place and it's manager Huey ,under his guidance, and direction the place is a hidden jewel located a sidewalk distance away from our favorite place to eat the cracker barrel updated modern rooms what makes this place different really is the staff they are all above par, and so friendly thanks to the management even the other guest are of quality! We didn't run into anyone sketchy on either side of the field. The linen was as soft and fresh just like home not itchy or harsh with the smell of chemicals . The breakfast was way overboard can't believe the serve what a full buffet! Anywho I could go on and on regarding this place and it's staff. My family are lifer's that's for sure! We stayed at this property again for the Alabama vs Georgia game. The staff are friendly and helpful. The property is older but clean with cute decor inside. The General Manager Huey is professionals and helpful. He took care of a billing isse a 10 days after our stay even though it required some extra effort. The hot and fresh breakfast is included. The location is 10 minutes from UA. The rooms were clean. The beds were comfortable. We recommend this Best Western property and will see the staff again.

Travelled to Tuscaloosa from Canada. Booked the hotel through Expedia for 3 nights. Needed to checkout after first night. Asked front desk manager if this would be possible with no extra fees and was told to would be fine. He said I would only be charged for the one night. Well, when returned back home credit card statement showed I was charged by the hotel for 3 nights. After several phone calls, nobody wants to reverse the charges or make it right. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are so many other choices around where management is honest and will not steal your money.

Our room had a broken window. The outside air was flowing in through a shattered portion of glass. Although they had no rooms to offer us that were safe from exterior weather and any other unsafe circumstance due to the broken window, they still charged me for the original booking. I had to pay for lodging elsewhere at an additional charge. Both Travelocity and Best Western continued to blame each other while no reimbursement was given. $388 for nothing but glamping and a new hotel room to pay for out of pocket. I will never use wither company again.

Horrible one night stay for large group. No ice machine working. Was told by front desk could go across the street buy ice at Shell station. Water fountains so dirty, they should be taken out. One side of mattress no support, need to be replaced with better support, comfortable for guest. Minimal choices for breakfast. The property had multiple owners past years. Would not recommend property if you want clean room and working services.

We stayed in room 117 a huge king bed very comfortable the barn doors are cute Alabama is very humid during summer would have been nice to have the AC on but they allowed us to check in early. the breakfast was good ? but would have loved more fruit choices. Apple ? Banana the manager put it out. Hue was amazing came and greeted everyone in the breakfast area that was something we've never seen before. but will definitely be back for the Georgia and Alabama's game.

Our family of four stayed here overnight on a road trip. There was plenty of friendly staff to welcome us in. Our room was clean, comfortable, and we got a good night's rest. In the morning, the free breakfast offered eggs, bacon, yummy breakfast taquitos, and plenty of other options, including hot coffee. We will definitely stay here again.

The breakfast gave me diarrhea. The ATM was broke. The internet was slow as dial-up. The room smelled musty. The walls were so thin, we could hear adjoining room conversations.

I have stayed with this hotel multiple times. Each and every time has been the same. Amazing customer service upfront, great communication about the amenities offered, and very personable. Huey is very professional and real and I have had no issues out of my many stays here. I have also been allowed early checkin at no additional cost just from his familiarity with me.I am now VIP and thankfully Huey has offered me early check in and a waiver deposit for me continuous support. Thanks for offering a great place to stay when I'm in town! Will obviously be back!

Renovation to the bathroom door is pretty to look at but provides no peace of mind (privacy or security). Guest smoking in the motel rooms was not a pleasant experience. Not having the usual items for the complimentary breakfast was disappointing. The water pressure for the shower has been lessened. My family and I have been staying at this same motel for three years. We like the staff and the location of the motel. We would like to see it get back to what it used to be. It just needs a few changes, and it would be a five star in my booking.

Pastor Huey is awesome. He welcomes you with loving arms. The hotel is very clean, quiet, and the staff has been amazing since I've been here. I've stayed three nights so far, and I have not had any issues. It's very peaceful and definitely a get away. Also, the prices were awesome as well. He gave me an amazing rate for the nights I stayed. I definitely will be back.

Just want to share my good experience here. When we just came in, I asked a extra help from Keilon who works in front of desk. And he's really nice to help us through his manager. What a great hotel! The GM Huey is a wonderful man and puts his heart into his work here and interactions with guests. The hotel is clean, the rooms are modern and comfortable, I love the lights hanging next to the bed. They're those cool antique looking Edison bulb lights. I wish I took a picture. The breakfast was so-so, but I don't expect much from continental breakfasts. And the neighbor above my room was a little noisy, but you can tell this hotel is built better than some because the noise he was making wasn't super loud / wasn't loud enough to keep me awake. I love that the fridge in my room was a good size and the sink next to it was super convenient for washing a few dishes we had. Everything was clean and comfortable. We'd definitely come back next time we're in the area!

The bed was very comfortable and clean. Very quiet and peaceful. Huey makes you feel right at home. The breakfast is awesome everything is fresh and hot. The housekeeper are very friendly and nice. And my daughter really enjoys our stay, she loves the elevator

I was so blessed today, talking with Huey not only did he lift my spirits, but he gave me a full refund as well as no cancellation fees. He prayed with me he is the best I hope one day to meet him in person. even though I did not get to stay at this property, I would highly recommend this facility. Manager Huey is the best. Call the hotel directly because the rate I got on the phone beat all the travel websites. The room was extremely nice and clean. I'll be staying next time. Parking is secure with lots of lighting. I like the fact that they spread guests out, so it was very quiet.

I ended up getting to the hotel early as I was driving in for a softball tournament. The first game was cancelled so I went to the hotel to see about checking in early. While there was a lot of activity going on, Huey went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of. The entire time I was at the hotel he was a gracious host who made sure to ask frequently if I needed anything else. I really appreciated his attention to detail and his desire for client satisfaction and would stay here again when I visit Tuscaloosa!

The best hotel in town, nothing don't disappointment. Rooms clean, outside is clean, breakfast area was nice and clean. They offer free hot breakfast but the only thing is I wish there was vegan options for breakfast! I love the biscuits they have, very soft!

I have been staying at this hotel for years and I always enjoy my stay; from the moment I pull up in the clean well manicured driveway and hotel lobby, there's a comforting atmosphere.The clerk was so nice. The room was so clean and the bed was comfortable with nice fluffy pillows and I had everything I needed.

Manager was horrible. He thought there was no warrant for a complaint when I informed him about there being feces on the toilet that was there upon arrival. He even told me I couldn't speak to another member of management because it wouldn't go any further. The absolute worse. However, I guess you get great customer service from him as long as you don't have a complaint as a paying customer.

Huey is the best! I stay here every time we travel to Tuscaloosa. The room are always clean the staff is friendly. The beds are comfortable. We travel here at least once every year. I wish this staff was at very hotel we stay at. I love that I can check in early while my daughter is at honor band.

The rooms smell so fresh and spacious, the breakfast was delicious, only wish they had oatmeal!! The next morning upon checking out, I was greeted with a smile from Zee at the front desk..very nice lady!! You will love it there!!! This will be our go to hotel when visiting Tuscaloosa.

I wish there was some way for Trip Advisor to verify these reviews. This is not the same facility that several people reviewed. The facility is clean and front desk upon arrival, welcoming. However, the positive stops there. One: the heating unit was very noisy as it cycled on. I had to totally turn it off. Two: the walls are thin. A television, intimidate relationships, and a crying child was heard all through the night. Three: the breakfast lacked any healthy options. I will not stay here or possibly at any other facility affiliated with Best Western.

Rooms covered in dust, Pillows sheets and towels all had stains. Rooms smell like mold. There was a sliding barn door to restroom and you can see around the door into restroom while the door is “closed”

We were so glad to find a hotel that was nice and friendly and clean in Tuscaloosa. It is off the main roads but a couple miles away. Updates and cute decor. Breakfast was good. Huey the manager was amazing and kind helping solve a problem we had with our reservation. 24 hour camera surveillance. Clean bed and room. Nice TV and furnishings. Only suggestion is to upgrade their towels. We like nice and new properties but this one was affordable and comfortable. Thanks!

We had some very simple problems and as soon as we reported them to Hughey he made sure they were fixed in a timely manner. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I will be coming back in the future and recommend them to anyone coming to this area.

Sure stay hotel is the best place in Tuscaloosa to stay. Friendly people, clean rooms, and an amazing atmosphere. Breakfast attendant did just that attended. Food never ran out. This is a motel for out of town construction workers that want a cheaper room without regard for comfort or cleanliness. Staff were friendly; Lobby smell was too much; hallway was warm and musty; carpet not vacuumed; Room was not clean, sheets not changed, floor not swept or mopped; sheets and towels thin and stained; mattress hard (worn out & thin) and uncomfortable. Staff was friendly.

The motel was ok. Lobby and breakfast area was very nice. The room itself was ok but the smell was overwhelming, it smelled extremely of mildew or mold. Had to go to the store to buy two different types of air freshener. I wasn't expecting a five star hotel but I did not expect the room to smell so bad.

Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast average with some protein options. Rooms had good space, but dingy and in need of some repairs. Shower did not work well, internet down both mornings. Price was 1/3rd the cost of other rooms in the area this weekend and almost every hotel fully booked. Easy access from interstate and walkable to Cracker Barrel.

Friendly staff clean hotel and good breakfast. I have to say thank you to Huey ( the hotel manager ) I overslept one morning and missed breakfast. But he showed me service and let me eat breakfast even when it had been shut down for 1hr ! And that's only an example of the type of service this hotel has to offer. My wife and I usually stay here once or twice a year on our way to visit family. We have never once been disappointed. Huey is a warm and wonderful person who cares about the guests and the staff. He always acknowledges you and asks how everything is. The rest of the staff members are equally great. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. Having a Cracker Barrel right next door makes this hotel even better. This is our only choice when passing through. We will definitely be back

Nice soft pillows to get good comfy sleep on , very stable & in place . 4 pillows in total for a good support for shoulders and back . Don't hesitate to ask for anything you may need . Any maintenance issues , let them know.

Great Hospitality and service to Humanity. Rooms were extra clean, beds comfy and I feel comfortable here as a whole. Safe place for my Kids also and great location right off the interstate close to everything you need.

SureStay is my go to hotel. Me and my boyfriend been coming here off and on for about 2 years now. I love that the rooms always clean and the breakfast is delicious. The Hotel manager Huey is like family to us now. He makes sure our stay there feels like home.

Huey is the best. I stayed here for 2 nights while my truck was being repaired, trying to find a place that would take my two cats was becoming impossible. Huey stepped up being a pet owner himself and got me the room we desperately needed. After agreeing to a very reasonable deposit we were saved. Finding out that I was going to need additional nights as the truck was still in the shop Huey kept my in my room and didn't even charge me any additional deposits. My thanks to Huey and the rest of the staff who made this stay the most enjoyable ever.

Hotel was nice and our room was clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good with plenty of options. Mr. Harris was very nice and friendly during check in. Close to the interstate so it was convenient to get where we needed to go quickly. Several food options and convenience stores close by as well. Definitely a great stay for the price. Parking lot was well lit and we felt safe coming and going. We will definitely be back.

Huey and his staff at the SureStay in Tuscaloosa have really set the bar high when it comes to affordable hotels. I travel a lot for work and every stay I've had here has went above and beyond my expectations. I've stayed at many $150+ a night hotels and almost none of them have been even close to the Service and Staff here! Twice I've opted to stay here when I'm still 30-45 minutes away from a worksite. Just the cleanliness and the great staff alone make the daily trip worth it. The rooms are cleaned and restocked daily. On site laundry is cheap and very reasonable. Anything you need or request they will go above and beyond to try to accommodate you. Anytime I'm traveling I20/I59 and need a room. This will be the only place I stop and stay. 10/10

Travel nurse. The treatment I received is something I've never experienced. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I'm checking out this week to a place much closer to my worksite. I discovered the location of this hotel by reviews. I had never heard of SureStay before coming to Alabama. I am a travel nurse, so we look for great rates with cleanliness. This hotel is wonderful! I have nothing bad to review on this platform. Mr. Huey is a great man who works very hard to help nurses with anything that they need for their stay. The beds are very comfortable, the bathrooms are clean and spacious, appliances all work. Housekeeping staff honors your privacy and asks you if you need anything. Front desk employees are very nice and can answer any questions you may have. This hotel is next to a restaurant and very close to gas stations. I would recommend this hotel to any nurse who wants comfort, cleanliness, and great rates for the SureStay. I am a nurse who stayed for 12 weeks.

Stayed here once again on my travels south from Maine in December. The recently renovated Lobby and Breakfast Room look wonderful-bright and inviting! Huey Harris and his staff are always friendly and very helpful. I am always given a comfortable room on the first floor which is easy access for me. As always the room was clean and very comfortable. quiet space so able to work and get a good night's sleep. Like that it's next to Cracker Barrel for easy dining. Always enjoy staying here!!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Huey and immediately felt like a valued guest. When Huey saw my military ID, he offered to waive the deposit out of respect for the service. He was kind, respectful, and overall set a happy tone for the experience. The room accommodations were above what I expected. We stayed here while visiting family and friends. Abbey checked us in she was nice. We enjoyed the coffee. the only breakfast downsize, no waffles. But the eggs and bacon was delicious and Hashbrowns was good. My kids love they had frootloops cereal. We will definitely be back. Sure Stay has been a wonderful, charming hotel for my weeks stay in Tuscaloosa. Huey Harris welcomes you with a very quiet, clean, beautifully refurbished hotel... breakfast is house made each morning, from omelets to southern grits. The staff is ultra friendly and Huey helped me with directions, and anything I needed for the week. Highly recommended!

This hotel was amazing!! It is honestly the BEST, Best Western I've ever stayed at and I've stayed at a lot of them. To me, it looks a little sketchy on the outside, but I promise you, it's a great hotel. When I checked in, Mary greeted me with a smile. She was just amazing. She was so sweet, courteous, kind, and helpful. Honestly, everyone I encountered was so sweet, kind, friendly, and helpful. Everyone was in great spirits and so positive. The breakfast was delisshhhh!!!! Everything was fresh and so good. They definitely have enough to fill you up and get your day started. The bed, omg, the bed was soooo comfortable and so were the pillows! Some of the best sleep I've gotten in awhile. The room was very spacious and we had plenty of room to move around and be comfortable. The ONLY negative, and I mean the ONLY negative was the TV and the internet. The TV was hard to figure out and the internet was not the best. I had to use my hotspot for things to work. But, it honestly wasn't a big deal. It was Thanksgiving and I wasn't about to bother anyone about the TV or the internet, especially since I had found my own solution. Other than that, honestly this place is a 9.9/10, I definitely recommend staying here and I will be back to stay here in the summer!!!

Was down here for family weekend. Even tho it was a busy weekend, the staff were extraordinary! They served an amazing breakfast, the coffee was the best part I swear. Upon entering the hotel I was kindly greeted as if they were waiting for my arrival personally! The rooms were very clean and everything look just like the photos online. Being a travel nurse can be a bit overwhelming at times. This is the first time I got everything I needed in the first booking. I wasn't aware of sport events taking place in the area so I was a bit concerned about availability for duration of my stay. After a long day of work I approach the desk and spoke with who I now know was the GM, Mr.Huey. He assured me that everything would be taken care of and that I wouldn't have to worry about having a safe, clean, consistent place to stay. His exact words were “Don't worry we take care of our guest here and we greatly appreciate traveling nurses”, I was blown away by his hospitality. He went above and beyond to keep his word. I walked to my room in tears. There are definitely still great people in this world and I found one while on a lonely 3 month assignment. If you are traveling in the area, this place is definitely a gem! I'll be here until January with my temporary surestay family. I've never felt so welcomed. Complimentary breakfast that starts ur day just right. This is an unbelievable experience thus far. Thanks so much.

I cannot thank this hotel enough for their kindness and generosity. My family was in Florida and I evacuated to be with my son in Tuscaloosa. Huey, the GM took incredible care of me and welcomed me the moment I arrived along with his entire staff. They welcomed both my son and his dog. They waived the pet fees for us because we were displaced from our home. I'm still not sure what I'm going back to you at my own house, but they have made this stay as easy as possible or as anyone could. I will never stay anywhere else in Tuscaloosa upon my return here, Nor will anyone I know. This particular hotel, everyone has the most genuine of heart and intentions. I hope that many blessings come their way as much as they bless all of their community and even the community of us Floridians through hurricanes!!! And aside from all of that this hotel is incredibly clean and the rooms are absolutely beautiful. We are currently staying here and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking. It's clean, they serve a nice hot breakfast, and we have a son in a wheelchair who has special needs and they have been so helpful and accommodating to us. I spoke with Huey before we got here just to make sure they could accommodate us and they have. Huey has been so kind and so have the other staff members. I have to say the customer service at this hotel was top notch. I had booked the hotel under my account for my husband to stay the night. I didn't realize that my work credit card was saved into my account and it was charged. As this wasn't a work related stay, I needed to get that room charge off my work credit card. Mr. Huey Harris was there to help me get the problem fixed. It took him several days to get the charge refunded but he kept in touch with me and informed me on his progress. My husband enjoyed his stay too. The bed was very comfortable, plenty of space in the room, and good breakfast. Thanks again, Huey!

We went to parents' weekend, and this was basically the only option because all of the Marriott Properties were priced at $1400 a night. The room was nasty and looked like it had not been updated since 1970. I dont care if it was clean but there was hair in the tub and just didnt want to take my shoes off in the room. I understand this is a lower end hotel, but it should be clean that is all I expected.

I am so happy I inadvertently found this hotel! As an out-of-state parent of a UA freshman, I have found my "go to " hotel in Tuscaloosa! Huey, the General Manager, provides excellent customer service. He is professional, accommodating, and makes me laugh! The rooms are clean and quiet, and the free hot breakfast is a nice added value. (Bacon with Real eggs - not powdered ones!!) I'm happy I don't have to decide what hotel to choose for the next four years. Decision is made! SureStay - All the Way!

Too much to say, Huey is the best manager he is always available for anything when i call and takes care of me. Rooms and Lobby clean and remodeled very beautiful by the way, clean all the time and service always friendly and nice. by far My first and only option.

Hotel is amazing. The king size bed are super comfortable. The hotel guest are great not to noisy everyone is friendly. Huey the general manager is great with it being a busy football weekend in Tuscaloosa he did not price gouging. He really has been a great help to me and my husband this week during this trying times. I told Huey what my situation was and without hesitation he insisted on helping us.I will highly recommend. Thanks for being an amazing person.

This is my stay when I'm in town. I have found you cannot beat perfection. The GM Huey and all his staff make sure you are well taken care of. Everyone always with a friendly smile and they do what they can do to brighten your day. The rooms are large and beautiful and the hotel itself is very well maintained both inside and out. In all the times that I have stayed here I can honestly say I've never seen anything out of place, staff is always on top of things. I love this hotel and I can say that those who work here care about you as a person not a dollar sign like most. They treat you like friends and family and only want you to enjoy your time here. I'm a Truck Driver broke down in the Tuscaloosa area for almost a week. The General Manager Huey Harris understood that and ended up lowering my nightly rate and even waived the $25 pet fee for my dog per night. I really appreciate that! The room itself was very spacious, with a decent size fridge/tv/microwave. The king size bed was very comfortable and the shower/bath was just the right size. I will be returning to this hotel for any future business needed in the area, a big THANK YOU to Huey Harris for making sure my stay was accommodating.

Researched all hotels in the Tuscaloosa area and Sure Stay had the best reviews. I was not disappointed! Huey and the staff were wonderful. Only disappointment was eating at the Cracker Barrel next door. Service was bad and food was cold.

First off the hotel has a beautiful lobby, love the painting of different places in Alabama. The staff has always been very friendly and Huey, the general manager always makes it feel like coming home to see family. My wife and I stay here every time we want a little time to our self and it is always a great experience. The beds are comfy and the water pressure is great! I would give more stars if I could. The hotel is also very conveniently located by a waffle house and cracker barrel.

Worst experience I have ever had at a hotel and I travel for a living. Incredibly rude manager. I was having trouble with my Best Western App and I called the hotel to make sure my reservation was still good. It was move in Weekend at University of Alabama as well as a big concert happening that weekend so everything was sold out. At first the manager, I think his name is Dave although he was not wearing a name tag, more on that later, said I did not have a reservation. I got off the phone to call the main support line and before they picked up he called back to say I did in fact have a reservation but he was going to cancel it because my credit card on file had expired. I told him I was in town and could give him the correct card when I got to the hotel. He wanted me to give it to him over the phone and I told him I couldn't because I was driving and after some argument he agreed to honor my reservation. The room smelled musty and the bed and pillows were awful but I didn't have any options so I stayed the night. the next morning my wife asked the front desk if we could have a late checkout. "Dave" said we could have 15 minutes. I have never heard of 15 minutes as a late checkout so I called back and said that Gold members usually got an hour and he told me I could have 30. This should have been the end of it but it wasn't. As I checked out and was walking out of the hotel he mocked me "Oooh there goes a Gold Member..." I was furious and walked back in the hotel and demanded his name so I could complain to Corporate. He told me to "get out of MY Hotel." At that point I lost my temper and used the F word and left. This still wasn't the end for this guy. He called my personal cell phone to continue to argue with me. I told him I was going to report him to corporate and he said he didn't care. He then texted my cell phone and signed it Management team Dave which is why I have a name at all. STAY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

Excellent every visit! Very professional & courteous customer service. The manager, Mr. Harris takes care of his customers as if they are his family. Definitely should pay this location a visit if you're ever in need of a place to lodge in Tuscaloosa, AL!

I stayed here for 5 nights and it was a great experience. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Huey was very welcoming and friendly. He would ask if there are any issues and address them immediately. Unless someone wants to stay in a 5 star hotel and pay a hefty price tag, this hotel should be in their list.

The hotel has great ambience, friendly staff and well maintained rooms. I had stayed in this hotel for more than 5 days and there was not any disturbance or noise which is quite unlikely on other hotels nearby. Had a great and wonderful stay.

My entire family stayed here during our son moving into the University of Alabama. The young lady at the desk was nice she check us into a clean room. I am happy we chose this place. The manager served my family breakfast. My husband said he never seen this before. Housekeeping was good at not coming into our room when we left a do not disturb sign on our door. My dad and I were going to be passing through Tuscaloosa and needed somewhere to stay for the night. Found this hotel and with the ratings and price being right in our budget, we decided to book it. The staff was very friendly but the room was terrible. It reeked of Lysol and it felt like everything was unclean. I didn't even want to use the bathroom it was that gross. On top of that, the door didn't close properly and the windows could have easily been broken. We didn't feel comfortable or safe staying the night and left right away. Trust me the 5 star reviews of this place are misleading. Spend the extra money and book a nicer hotel in the city.

We recently stayed at SureStay Hotel while in Tuscaloosa for our son's graduation from UA. We were pleased with the overall stay and have no reservations recommending it highly to those reading this review. I do want to note the high level of customer service shown to us by Huey Harris, GM & Sales Director....he waived an unexpected fee for us and made sure we were well pleased with the accommodations as we had reserved a couple rooms and had my wife's elderly parents staying in one of them. I watched him instructing what appeared to be a new employee one morning.....certainly impressed with his leadership skills and his kindness to us.

I was charged for the room before I arrived which had me a bit worried but I was informed it was because the hotel was sold old for the night and they were securing my room. So I'm actually thankful for that. The staff was really friendly upon check in and the room was clean and comfortable. I have no complaints and I would definitely stay here again.

The customer service is TOP NOTCH! Huey is the best. He was able to save the day for me and get a room booked for my son and his girlfriend (and their cat) while power was being set up at their new place. I HIGHLY recommend booking at this place.

The rooms are very nice and spacious, and the decor is nice. The best part of this hotel is definitely Huey, the general manager! He waived our pet fees and seriously saved our trip. Booking.com didn't tell me to call ahead for pet approval, and Huey had every right to cancel us and keep our non-refundable payment, but he didn't. I know that God put him in our path for this moment. I encourage anyone needing a room in this area to stay here! And if you have the pleasure of meeting Huey, you'll be blessed! Oh, and I hear the breakfast is amazing. I'll have to review that in the morning :)

Me and my fellow partners had a business trip planned in Tuscaloosa, Al. We traveled from Austin, Texas to here. Check in was not until 4pm but Mr. Huey let us check in two hours early. Which was appreciated. The new renovations are awesome and they have pretty good breakfast. We stayed two days and the stay was delightful. Recommended stay.

Great Staff, enjoyed the stay. The only issue was the blackout during the thunderstorm. Other than that, it was a perfect stay! Will be back again. The hotel also appears to be making improvements to the structure as well. They just installed a new floor and chanderlier in the main lobby.

Hughey, the manager, greeted us with the most kindness and charisma I've ever seen the minute we walked in. After a 5 hour drive, his enthusiasm was a blessing. We arrived 30 minutes early, but Hughey didn't even charge us he just let us in to our room with so much gratitude for our choice to stay here. 10 minutes later a handyman, who promptly replaced our lamp bulb, returns with chips, candy, and water bottles from the manager, expressing his greatest appreciation for our business. The room is clean and smells great, and I can't wait for the fully stocked breakfast tomorrow from 6-9.

I just wanted to write a review for this awesome hotel, and let everyone know if you were looking for a beautiful modernized hotel in Tuscaloosa, Alabama this is the right choice. At this hotel you are greeted by wonderful customer service named Huey who will put you in a clean beautiful room. They also have wonderful housekeeping and a great breakfast. This hotel also feels very safe due to management making sure there isn't just anyone hanging around inside the hotel or outside unless they are a customer of SureStay, so you have the reassurance of safety. This is a great hotel if you ever are in Tuscaloosa Alabama make sure to visit!!

Hotel was as clean as always. My room never ceases to astound me with how clean and prepared it is. The main concern with most hotels is sometimes the bed sheets aren't always the cleanest, but Surestay is definitely not one of those hotels. It's where you don't have to examine every single part of the sheet it's that clean. Staff is always amazing and heartwarming and definitely not afraid to start conversation. Was greeted with respect and taken cared of respectfully and responsibly. Definitely no problems.

My wife and I had not stayed in anything other than a Hilton, Marriott or IHG property for many years. I always look at TripAdvisor when I'm going somewhere, just in case there is something we don't expect. Review after review gave this property high reviews, particularly in terms of value. This time I listened, and the TripAdvisor reviews were correct. Huey and his crew were inviting and accommodating. If you like your basic eggs, sausage, potatoes, bacon, yogurt for breakfast, you'll be happy. I will happily stay there again if I stay in Tuscaloosa. One caveat: get your own toilet paper. Theirs is awful, but that is a relatively minor complaint.

Just checked in and upon entry the hotel is beautiful I must say..Huey checked me in and as always he's great. When I first moved here this was the hotel I checked into and Huey checked me and my family in as well..He's great every time I come for a visit..Definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone..

This is a really good "budget" roadside hotel option inTuscaloosa. They search "real eggs" and Starbucks coffee for the included breakfast, and the general Manager Huey is the absolute BEST manager around.

Upon arrival this place is inviting as it appears to be Margaritaville by its decor. Management and front desk staff are very hospitable. Everyone goes out of their way to make your stay feel special. The hotel is very well monitored and you feel secure staying here. They provide a hot breakfast, the potatoes are to die for. The rooms are very well updated and the mattresses are actually very comfortable. A great place to spend a night or week. The GM Huey has assembled a great team that will make sure your stay is the best it can be.

We come through Tuscaloosa twice yearly from NC to Tx to visit family. This is our first stay at Sure Stay. It will definitely not be our last. Very clean, friendly staff, and good food. My only disappointment was no fresh fruit but I still gave it 5 stars!

This was a great location for us. The hotel was clean and quiet. Huey, at the front desk, was amazing. He goes over and above to make your stay a great experience. We had plans to meet with family in the area for breakfast but I think it looked really good.

Came here Sunday when I walked in the sweet lady at the front desk was nice I felt welcomed coming in. The room was amazing there was a few things with it but I went to the office and they were nice about everything they had someone come to my room first thing and they took care of the problem I had last night nothing happened after that it was amazing experience I came here before but this was months before and the experience was alright for the most part but this time it was a whole different vibe that I was totally into. Spoke to the manager Huey. He was AMAZING. His attitude is was something I was living for. You might think this is over exaggerating but it's not, it's one of the most pleasant. He took the time to ask me how I was doing and the visit was going and he made conversation and didn't try to get rid of me, lol. He was nice about everything and he made my visit even better because of his attitude. Definitely recommend if you ever come from Birmingham and are coming to Tuscaloosa definitely look into it. Personally this is my go to place to go. Thanks for the best service! Definitely love coming here.

My husband and I stayed for the weekend while visiting our daughter. The hotel was nice, my only complaint was the BLACKOUT. Spoke with Mr Harris the GM who offered to discount a future visit for us since we're unable to stay. Since we are in town a lot, I felt that was fare. Especially since it was beyond his control. I normally forget to post reviews by the time I am able to sit down and submit one. However, a lasting impression was made by Huey at SureStay Hotel in Tuscaloosa, Al. He went above and beyond to be attentive, professional, knowledable, and above, kind and patient! It's hard to find good customer service this day in time, but Huey was great and we appreciate his welcoming attitude!!

1st let me start with the room, It's absolutely beautiful. I traveled here from Indiana so the Southern interior gives way to total relaxation. And unlike most hotels that I'v stay in the shower pressure was perfect. I'm not the kind of guy who normally has time to cook breakfast in the morning. So for me while on the road and staying in Best Western hotels I have access to a very hearty breakfast every morning and even a freshly squeezed glass of Orange juice. Honestly I'm not sure if it's freshly squeezed but it does taste that way. I must admit I truly enjoyed my stay here. And to make things even better I found out that because my trip was business that my company qualified for a discount. I would not have found this information out if it wasn't for Huey. He was very knowledgeable extremely professional and it seemed like he knew everything about the business. Honestly these guys turned a small business trip into a little Mini vacation I'm so very happy I stayed here.

Great location for my trip, easy on and off interstate, but away from road noise. Has nearby gas stations and Cracker barrel next door. Warm friendly welcome when I checked in, genuine. Hotel is very clean, tidy and attractive. Rooms spacious and have everything you need. Starbucks coffee for breakfast! Manager even waved pet fee for my old kitty.

This hotel is fairly nice, the beds and pillows are so comfortable. But the owner of the hotel is very friendly and cut us a great deal! All of the receptionist have been kind to us, we've been there twice now. The first stay, there was a nice hot breakfast.

I'm a commercial vehicle operator. I had to find a place to stay as to avoid a violation of hours of service rules. After looking at several options, I chose this location because of price, accessibility to the interstate hwy, and room to park the trailer I was pulling. I was pleasantly surprised with the facade of the building, bright and cheery New Orleans style. We had a good stay, were not disturbed, and had a decent breakfast. I would stay here again.

All high ratings are lies or someone with really low expectations!! Customer service: Before arriving the manager/owner was very pleasant. But after arriving and the fire alarm went off several times in the middle of the night he appeared rattled and hostile. He even asked a guest concerned husband to come down and talk to him face to face. Excuse me?? When we returned to retrieve our belongings I entered the lobby before my husband but as soon as my hubby came in he started apologizing and explaining the issue looking past me directly talking to my husband as though I was not impacted. Even my husband was like why was he so focused on him and not our entire party who did not sleep because of the alarm. When I explained we had traveled from Georgia for hours and all we wanted was some rest which did not happen. He apologized and asked shockingly if i didn't sleep! Not sure what he expected given we had to stand outside in cold with a kid until fire department cleared reentry. Then the alarm continued to go for at least an hour. The owner says I'm if dust or a spider gets into it that's is what happens. Wouldn't it make sense to dust it daily to prevent waking guests in the middle of the night???. I asked him if he was planning to compensate us in any way he appeared shocked and proceeded to tell me that All the other guests just said ok it happens. No big deal. Your point? The room: The room smelled musty and they didn't have any air/heat flowing before he arrived so that made it worst. The tub mat was filled with black spots. We were all afraid to use it. The bed and shower had someone's hair. I hope she still had some left as many sheddings we saw. One bed was significantly taller than the other. The tv was so small my son called it a tablet. The room phone did not work due to rewiring. Is it legal for the guest to not be able to make calls in an emergency? (may reach out to the city to confirm if their are any building codes violations around this) So we had to go downstairs if we needed anything. The breakfast was basic. I would not recommend this hotel to someone who is used to having basic things like shampoo and conditioner.

Huey was so helpful and patient in getting us a last minute room on a crowded football weekend. Customer service is excellent. Breakfast was also good, actually, better than most hotels at which we've recently stayed.

This hotel was outstanding. From the minute I called to ask about a room rate to when we checked out, we got friendly and helpful folks. Everyone here cares about the guests and their jobs. The room was clean and the bed was extra comfortable. The shower had very good water pressure and stayed hot the whole time. I also have to rank this hotel high because there's a Cracker Barrel right next door. The hotel is easily accessible from I-20/I-59 at Exit 76. We would definitely stay here again

Booked a reservation here in September due to my job and having to travel for work. With little to no expectations of anything being outside of the "norm" hotel stay. Right off the bat upon entrance I was greeted by Huey Harris (Manager) and another receptionist at the front desk. He took care of me and made sure that I had all of the amenities at my fingertips for a nice and pleasurable stay, It is hard nowadays to find a crew who genuinely cares for your needs during you're stay and check off all the blocks but Sure Stay has done it all. Long story short I now frequent this hotel when I'm in T Town whether it is for business or just to have a night out with friends. If you are ever in Tuscaloosa searching a place to lay you're and have an enjoyable experience ten look no further than Sure Stay in Tuscaloosa. Tell Huey that Ervin sent you!!
