Best Best Western we have experienced. Clean, pleasant and helpful staff. Nice grounds, convenient location. Don't know how to get this to 200 characters, but I can keep writing if you insist. Oh, did I mention that the weather was very nice?
The Best Western hotel in Muscutine Iowa was the perfect hotel to stay at!!! Staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was great and the coffee was good!!!!
Very friendly and helpful front desk staff; very clean room, smelled very clean. Nice water pressure and hot water for shower, and very comfortable bed.
After a long night of work on not-so-great sleep the previous few nights, I needed a room for an upcoming work event in the middle of the day. The host placed me in a good area of the hotel, it was nice and calm and allowed me a getaway from the busy world around and I was able to get better sleep than I get in my own home.
Staff was so helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great as plenty of items to choose from and everything was fresh. This hotel is located close to restaurants and main highway. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone.
We would definitely stay again. The rewards program they had when we stayed was pretty cool also. Stay three nights and get a $100 gift card. The breakfast was really good also. They had more choices than other hotels we've stayed at. Friendly staff also. Keep it up.
Tripadvisor plus had a great price for this hotel. Check-in & room were good. Room was very quiet. Morning breakfast was good. Would like to see more fresh fruit & yogurt. Man at front desk in the morning was very friendly & kept the morning buffet full of items. The only problem we had was after going down to breakfast our two keys would not open our room. A maid in the hallway let my wife in. I went downstairs & the front desk reprogramed our keys. He said it happens a lot.
Nice quiet and clean. Breakfast is great for a snack and friendly staff. Some times we stay at the Merrill but if you want to save money at a nice hotel best western Muscatine is the place to stay. Dave R
We had to stay for a family emergency our family was happening and the hotel was more than helpful with making sure we stayed comfortable and even worked around our needs of having to check out late so we had so many where to stay comfortable until we needed to leave they were just so understanding and extremely caring
The staff were having a small celebration and invited the customers to join. Very friendly all around. Good internet. All room items in good working order. Clean rooms. Thanks Amanda for your and other staff's hospitality and professionalism!
Price was fine but this is an older hotel in a city full of fair choices at best. Poor breakfast, rickety elevator and overstuffed bed pillows. Location for our purposes was good but this is a property in need of an upgrade.
Room was clean, with a comfortable bed and no traffic noise. Very nice pool inside. Breakfast included hot eggs and sausage as well as juice and coffee, yogurt, and various breads. Plenty of complementary parking adjacent to the building. Nice location, near main roads.
We would definitely stay again. Our room was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. It was very quiet, too. Breakfast was plentiful and tasted good. We didn't use the pool or exercise room, but they appeared nice.
They allowed my dog and I was able to use the pool. People didn't really ask if I needed anything which would be nice if you don't want to be bothered. Not a whole lot of privacy in the pool area being watched by people not swimming through the windows
We were staying in town for a week, due to a funeral for my mother in law. We booked a week for ourselves and a half of a week for our children and their families. Staff was beyond helpful. Hotel was clean in the rooms and all the commonl areas. Breakfast was delicious.
Great place to stay. The rooms are very clean and nice and quiet. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was well stocked, the hot food was hot and the cold food was cold, a nice change from some of the other places I've stayed.
The hotel has obviously been refurbished. The bed was comfortable, except for the "fitted" sheet which kept coming off because it didn't fit. Nothing in the room tells you that you have to request housekeeping service during your stay. The hotel was adequate for 2 nights, but I probably won't stay there again.
I own and run a trucking company. I ended up having to sit and wait to deliver til after Labor Day so I decided to get a hotel. My wife found this one and booked it for me. I stay a lot of hotels through out the year. This is definitely not the worst but not the best either. The front desk staff for the most part super friendly. The room was very big but that was the only thing good about. The shower was filthy, the curtain doesn't actually fit the size of the shower so water was getting everywhere and the shower head was spraying out the side right onto the floor. The bed sheets had stains all over them but were clean. The floors actually need to be vacuumed. Etc. I thought I'd be able to get some laundry done but unfortunately not. Not only do they charge more then any hotel I've stayed in. $4 to wash $3 to dry. I go to the front desk to charge my room for quarters like I do at EVERY hotel I stay in and they said they don't do that. So I had 3 days of down time and couldn't be even somewhat productive. I was given 3 different times for breakfast ending. So I was able to eat breakfast once out of 3 days. The beds are horrible and the pillows are even worse. The location of the hotel for a car is great but not for a semi truck. A few choices for food. So basically would I pay to stay at this location again I absolutely would not. As for best western as a whole I'm not sure. But that's my experience. Take it for what it's worth. Hope this helps.
Our room was clean, updated, bed comfy and safe. Good parking for 2 motorcycles, nice newer facility with a very good continental breakfast as well. Many workers stay here for a day or a week, and I think that's a good sign of a hotel's quality. All great guys that we encountered. Close to walk to a number of restaurants.
Relatively clean hotel. Lowest price I could find that didn't allow smoking. Good location next to restaurants. Breakfast is OK. But I stay here a lot and it's rather repetitive. Wifi doesn't always connect to my phone. Overall a good place to stay.
It was fine , no surprises , a good place to stay. Bed was comfortable , but didn't care for pillow . Breakfast was the norm for hotels , but no toaster. Desk people were friendly . Seemed clean . Location was good for us . Would recommend this hotel if you are staying there
It was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and it was quiet compared to the last hotel I stayed in where my neighbor blared his tv all night. The bed was very compfortable as well
We had a problem with our 3 night stay but Sherri from the front desk was wonderful in helping to resolve it. She is a gem. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Elevator needs a little maintenance but otherwise this was a good choice. We would stay here again.
The staff was A1 and amenities where clean food fresh other hotel goers also friendly. No problem with stealing or bugs or dirty ness. The usual problems with other hotels. The only one thing I would say internet needs more bandwidth
We have stayed here several times and will again the next time we are in the area. It is pleasant, clean, and the staff is wonderfully helpful. This follows "time off" for CoVid, so we were pleased that they were working hard to make this a pleasant experience. We had a bit of difficulty with the TV but they addressed the situation immediately and all was good. The instructions for our stay were clear and any questions or needs were immediately met. It's a little older hotel, but the towels, sheets, and amenities are still in good condition and not "creepy". Rooms of a good size and a/c was working well.
We use Best Western hotels a lot and this one is newer or perhaps recently updated. Off I-80 in the newer part of town. Pleasant front desk check-in and helpful. King bed room was nice & clean. Indoor swimming pool looked refreshing. Tge hotel location is just a short drive to the water front district. Although, let me highly suggest nearby dining (less than 2 miles away) is Sal Vitale's Italian. Do yourself & family a favor and go enjoy some true Sicilian Italian food. You'll most likely meet Sal or 1 or 2 of his 6 son's.
Room was clean but not secured with tape. Internet is spotty. Masks are not worn by all visiting hotel . Breakfast was really good. Called front desk to ask why the room was not taped and was told the step was forgotten but the room was cleaned.
My husband and I were looking for somewhere to stay that allowed us to have our yorkie with us. We found the perfect location! I highly recommend to anyone traveling with your four legged family member!!
The front desk clerks were very helpful. On the second floor there seemed to be a smell I could not recognize. The tub in the room needed updating. This hotel seems to being updated and are some small issues but overall good hotel with great service.
The Best Western Pearl City, Muscatine, Iowa is a great place to stay when you're on a business trip. They are very hospitable, and there are many decent restaurants in the area. The facilities are well maintained.
Recently stayed at this hotel and found it to be very clean. Staff was very nice and welcoming. I was expecting nothing for breakfast because of Covid, but I was pleasantly surprised that they had a very nice spread. Everything was individually wrapped and fresh. I would definitely recommend this hotel and I will be back.
Clean rooms, great staff, they make you feel like you are right at home. They are professional and always have a smile on their faces. If you have anytime of Maintenance issue, Rich will get you fixed up right away.
The hotel was very clean. The room was clean and comfortable. They had a good assortment of breakfast with everything going on. The staff was friendly and inviting. Will definitely stay again if in the area.
The hotel was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and accommodating. However, none of the staff, including the maintenance and janitorial crews, wore COVID masks at any time during my stay. I am 69 years old with a heart condition, so getting COVID would be a serious situation. I am surprised that the hotel management did not instruct the employees to be respectful of their guest's health. This is why I did not give very positive reviews for the 'Service' questions.
I called desk to see if we could check in Early and it was available at 1pm (orig.3pm) it really helped with the rest of our days plans.Front Desk attendant was very quick and Pleasant to deal with. If ever in Muscatine again, we will definately stay again.
First I want to say the front staff was great on check in and check out. That was the most positive part of the whole stay. I decided to stay in the Best Western due to the reviews on Tripadvisor. During our stay the handle of the sink came off, but I was able to reattach it without too much trouble. I couldn't connect to the internet, but that wasn't a huge surprise when it comes to more of a budget hotel. The breakfast was lack luster as well as the softness of the towels (like drying off with a bristle pad). The big red flag for this hotel was that I found a small cockroach climbing on the TV stand. Unfortunately, I didn't find it until the morning, when I woke up to use the restroom. Finally one of the last things that we saw that repulsed us was as we were leaving the hotel, the maids cleaning the rooms were eating breakfast off the cleaning cart. Keep in mind that they were wearing their gloves while eating, so it makes you wonder how sanitized our room got. This might also be why there is pest problem. The staff comped the room, but this will most likely be the last time I stay at a Best Western from hear on out.
I definently would recommend this hotel to anyone. The staff is extremely friendly helpful. Most enjoyable. Rooms are clean and beds are very comfortable. Never had any problems with the internet like other establishments do.
We have stayed at, and reviewed, this hotel previously. Let me start by saying the front desk staff is still top notch. This property is pet friendly which rates high in my book. The property itself appears to need some upgrades. The surface of our bathtub was worn through to the black liner. Our bath mat actually had 2 big holes in it and there were 2 snaps missing in the shower curtain. This all adds up to looking very worn. I could even live with the bathroom door that doesn't open all the way so it stops in front of the toilet. The mattress was soft and very bouncy. I imagine we will stay here again since we are BW Rewards platinum level and this property will accept our dogs but this wasn't as pleasant as previously.
We stayed 2 nights at the BW Muscatine last week. The hotel was nicely appointed and clean. The staff was friendly and efficient. They even have eggs-to-order and omelettes made by a friendly cook. We'll be back!
My wife and I made a trip to Muscatine to visit family for a few days and we were so pleased with our stay. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Only thing that kept me from giving this a 5 was the entrance way into the room was narrow. A HUGE PLUS was the breakfast bar. Yvonne, the omelet/egg chef made the BEST eggs I've had in some time. She was very friendly and helpful. She is an asset to your location. Please give her a two thumbs up. Next time we're here, we will DEFINITELY stay again.
Upon my arrival here at BW Muscatine Iowa I was greeted by two simply super Front desk agents . Vicki I do believe was the name of the agent who checked me in. Great customer service skills from the get go. I work at a resort as a customer service coordinator and would hire her for my team in a heart beat. My compliments to her manager. Viki went over the top with her personality and welcoming skills. I will recommend BW to all my folks at the resort I work at as well as friends and relatives. The rooms are clean and wonderful. It is very refreshing to be treated so well. I travel alot and most hotels are marginal and employees not friendly. Cant wait to return!
After getting "upgraded" to a room that was less expensive than the one i booked online, then being told the price cannot be changed because i was already in the room, the cherry on the cake was the bathtub, absolutely disgusting. It looked like someone took a hot bath right after a spray tan, and lost a good amount of long black hair. Tub/Shower was obviously not cleaned at all. This hotel was more expensive than I usually spend when I travel for work, not worth the extra money in my opinion.
I stayed at the Best Western Pearl City Inn during a soccer tournament. It is a fine hotel, not amazing. They seemed to have an omelet station available at breakfast, but the two mornings I went down it seemed to be turned off and there was no one around to tell me if it was available and working. One of our players found glass shards in their pull out bed. The staff brought roll away cots for them, but I'm not sure why they didn't immediately offer to replace all the bedding (which is obviously what should have been done before they ever checked in.) The staff was generally friendly and helpful. There is on site laundry available, which is always nice for sports tournament stays. The location was convenient. Near Weed Park if you want to get out for a nice shady walk, only a few minutes from downtown, and 10 minutes from the soccer complex.
Centrally located in Muscatine. Stayed a week at this hotel. Hotel staff is very friendly. Had to check out from other hotel because of some issues over there. I am glad that i chose this hotel. Hotel is clean, Internet was fast and Breakfast was good with cook to serve omelet.
I really wanted to give this hotel a good review, the room was nice, the breakfast was great. But I just cant because I'm so freaked out after leaving there about my personal and financial safety. We checked in, got our key, wasnt asked to sign anything or show any kind of ID which I thought was kind of weird and as we were walking to our room the guy runs up gives us a different key and tells us the original room was still dirty (at 11pm? Okay weird again). Fast forward to the next day, our key card didnt work, went down to the front desk and they had no record of us checking in, no record that anyone was in our room, no record of our reservation and payment we had made months in advance. After thinking we had figured it all out we went back to our room. Later had to request more toilet paper and towels because the maid never came by. They were once again surprised anyone was even in our room. The next morning we get a bill under our door even though we had paid in advance. Was told it was because we had added days to our reservation (which we did not). The maid tried to enter our room 3 times between 9-10am to clean it even though we told her we wouldn't be leaving until 11am (check time). Our phone was flashing that we had a message the whole time, but not a single employee knew how to make it stop or check the message. Now I'm going to watch my credit cards statements for extra charges, and wonder why we were suddenly changed to the other room at 11pm at night, why nobody knew we were there, what happened to all the personal info on our reservation that disappeared? The whole thing was very sketchy and unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable.
Great value. Great people. We had been driving all day and found the pool and amenities very refreshing. The breakfast was great. The sleep was great. The staff were also very helpful with checking us in and helping at breadfast. We'd look to stay here again on our next trip.
My daughter wanted to have some Friends at a hotel for a swimming party. I booked 2 rooms. I was unaware of a policy as this was my first time ever booking a swimming party and the front desk was extremely nice about explaining it instead of getting mean. I cannot praise them enough for their kindness. The rooms were clean and breakfast amazing!
the room was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The breakfast profided gave you a large choice to eat. All the employes were very cordiality frendly and respectable. The only downfall was that I would of prefered a hot tub .I'm glad that I joined their rewards club.
Loved our stay at this Best Western. Breakfast was great with cook to serve omelet. Employees were courteous and professional. Pool and Fitness room was added bonus. Looks new hotel. Will stay again at this hotel if we are in Muscatine in future.
I loved staying here. They had an awesome room, great view and a nice pool. Had omelets for breakfast, cereal, rolls and fruit. Coffee, juice and milk. Was three blocks from my work. Would definitely stay here again when in the area. Highly recommend this hotel. Very clean!
We always enjoy are stay at this hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms and beds are very comfortable and have everything we need while traveling. Breakfast has a variety of choices and the made to order omelets are an added treat prepared by very friendly employees. Great way to start the day! Restaurants are within walking distance so you do not have to drive anywhere to get a nice meal. We always enjoy are stay at this hotel.
Visiting family for Easter, was a very clean and convenient place to stay. The breakfast made it hard to leave, I wanted to stay one more night. The room was clean and cozy. Was able to change the temperature in the room quickly and easily. The pool was nice, could have been a bit warmer. ;-)
Overall the rooms were good, beds were livable, With the the overall appearance Being updated, the elevator is sketchy and the lighting covers haven't been replaced in 50 years! Staff was always very friendly, exception is Housekeeping. Even with the signs on the door, they still entered and cleaned rooms.
Nice, clean hotel. Nice pool. Better breakfast. Only down fall is you can hear all the noise other guest make. Granted our room was right next to the elevator, but you could hear hall noise clear as day through your door. You can also hear outside noise.
I spent 3 weeks in a spacious and cozy room. I used the fitness center with pleasure (I did not have time for the pool ..) As a European I greatly appreciated having access to the nearby restaurants without having to use the car ..
Check in and check out was simple and convenient. The hotel staff was friendly and accomodating. Our room was very clean. Free breakfast was a plus! The hotel pool looked inviting but we didn't have time to take a swim this time around. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely recommend.
A group of us were forced to make quick reservations due to a funeral in the area. This was a fantastic choice for all of us as The hotel is in a great location; Great value, extremely pleasant and efficient staff, clean, comfortable and breakfast was included. Could not ask for more for the price!
We were here for a basketball tournament. The room was good, and clean. Kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good. Employees were great, and snow removal was accomplished before we were ready to leave. I would stay here again.
Excellent service the made to order omelette for breakfast was great. It exceeded our expectations for hotel breakfast. The woman attendant was exceptional. She was very attentive and upbeat. The omelet was very good
I had stayed at this hotel before and everything was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. The omelets were delicious as was the rest of the breakfast items.
Best Western Plus has become our first choice when traveling in the US and often in Europe. We were headed home to Chelsea, Michigan after a week in Minneapolis and chose a route through Iowa to avoid Chicago and take advantage of better winter weather along the route. This was our first time at that BW Plus and our usual BW expectations were met. Our room was neat and clean, the breakfast was substantial and the staff friendly and courteous. We had no problems. A few hours after our departure we discovered an item had been lost. The desk clerk found it in the parking lot and made arrangements to return it. We will certainly stay at this location again.
This is boutique Best Western. Our room was very clean. Our stay was quiet. Manager Ronnie looked very well professional in his suit. Ronnie gave me very good information about benefits of vegan diet on health and Mindfulness. Will stay here again.
Very comfortable and nice staff. Good location. If you really need to eat breakfast, though, skip this hotel. Eggs were gross, cold, fell apart like sand in your mouth (I literally had to spit them out). Bacon was undercooked and sat in a pile of grease. Ham was cold and undercooked. Bananas were brown--way overripe--should have been thrown into trash. Staff was very nice. Room was comfortable.
What a great place to stay. Good value, clean comfortable rooms and dinning room.. Made to order breakfast, yes it is hard to believe but you can ask to have your eggs cooked the way you want them. Staff was outstanding
We had a direction of travel. (+ - 75 miles). We researched hotels toward the end of our day but had no formal reservations. That's our style. Glad to find this welcoming Best Western. Staff was friendly and professional. Room was clean with nice decor. Good breakfast added to the good value. We would stay here again.
Clean sheets (which are very important to me), and friendly personal.Good Breakfast. Had a noisy neighbor and the night clerk took care of the problem immediately. Enjoyed a nice quiet stay. Hair dryer didn't work. The housekeeper brought me a new one within minutes.
The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was VERY GOODThe stay was great. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We went a few miles out of our way to stay there.
Room was great! Very quiet stay. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was really good, better than most hotels. Great location, not far from Hwy 61, but far enough to not hear the traffic. Very close to stores and restaurants.
Very clean and friendly helpful staff. Close to many restaurants within walkingg distance as well as a variety within a short distance. The fresh cooked to order eggs and omelets are a special touch in the morning. Great value for the price.
Complementary hot breakfast was awesome. Cook to serve omelette during breakfast hours was above and beyond our expectation. This hotel has won our heart and soul when comes to finding great accommodation in muscatine.
A typical Best Western, Nice clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast. The hotel was about 20 miles off the freeway but getting to the hotel and back to freeway was really quick and easy. There were a few restaurants close by, we got in kind of late but found a pizza hut still open.
This is a fine hotel and nice place for kids to play in pool and families to gather. However, the price seems a little high as the hotel is a bit rundown. The lobby area and pool are nice, but the room we were in was a bit
When we needed directions employees were kind and helpful .The breakfast omelets were great .The pool was great and we were thankful for the handicap chair .our rooms were clean and comfortable for able. Since our travels were for attending a funeral for a family member the kinonessential of the employees was a real plus .Thankyou and we will prorally be back.
This is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. We had spiders in our room, the rooms had horrible smells, our toilet “screamed” every time it was flushed, the stairwell stank of cigarettes, and the elevator was scary at best.
This hotel was great except for the high cost of using the washer and dryer. I had been on the road for a while and needed to some laundry. Cost $4.00 to wash and $3.00 to dry. I have not used a laundry in a while but that seemed like a rip off.
The room was good and I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast was good and there were items that everyone could enjoy. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again when I'm in the area.
Great service from all the staff. Very clean and well maintained. Pet friendly rooms available. Breakfast was served hot and fresh every morning. We were offered a fresh made to order omelet. We will definitely visit again.
I want to see more of Muscatine, yet the hotel was outside of town, and hard to find based on address although it was just off a main highway, smaller rooms, no USA Today, breakfast average, nice reception
We were In town visiting relatives for the weekend and booked our 2-night stay here. The hotel was clean and the made to order omlettes at breakfast were very good. I would stay here again for future trips.
Great people who greet you warmly and make sure your are happy and satisfied! Recently remodeled and the rooms are properly cleaned! Nice breakfast and the location is close to restaurants and shops. We will return!
The television was not set up and I had to reset the menu and inputs for it to work. Stay at the Hampton inn down the street and you can avoid this problem. The toilet also runs most of the time and the bathroom lights at dim.
Our Stay at this hotel was very pleasant. Breakfast was above standard with Omelet made in front of us with our choice of ingredients in it. Beds were cozy. I like to give highest score to this hotel operation. Thank you Best Western.
I have stayed at several BW hotels in several states in the last ten years. The Best Western Pearl City was my best experience at any BW in the last ten years. My room was clean and well appointed. Overall the hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was American English speaking and courteous. The free breakfast was good with multiple choices including cooked to order omelets! Wifi worked well. This a good hotel at a good price.
Room was comfortable with a nice flat screen television and DirecTV. Coffee maker, refrigerator, and other amenities were in the room and free breakfast was tasty. Ice maker in the hallway was noticeable and loud, but not a constant noise.
Sometimes you can't pick your neighbors but we can pick our hotels .. and it won't be this one again. I realize that guests acting rudely is not the fault of the hotel but feel the hotel management could have been more proactive for the guests who like their peace and quiet. Hallway security goes a long way to help manage gathering in halls, slamming doors on the security latch, running, screaming, etc. The front desk personnel admitted to multiple complaints regarding the noisy conditions.
My stay was short for just one day. This is by far very nice hotel compare to one that I used to stay in Mscatine. Made to order omelet was very delicious. Internet was fast enough. Bed was very cozy. This will be my new go to hotel in muscatine now.
Came to the area for Youth State Bowling. Kids were disappointed that the pool didn't work on Sunday morning. Got a little crowded in the pool with an event like this that was going on in Muscatine. Rooms were very clean. Staff friendly.
Impressed with omelet made in front of our eyes during breakfast hours. Never experienced this kind of made to order omelet service at any other hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.
I would defiantly stay again. Rooms were clean, the beds were great. Great hospitality, movies channels, and they worked around my schedule and allowed me to check in early. I was very happy with everything. Thank you for your great job guys.
This hotel is clean & staff is very friendly. This is my second stay at this hotel. Choice of several restaurants near this hotel. Comlimentory made to order omelets during the breakfast hours is the added bonus for staying at this hotel.
DESTINY AND MITAL is very help full and friendly at front desk.LATASH is very good omelet cook and very pleasant person.room was awsome and very clean.chanel selection is wonderfull and HD TV.I would highly recommend this hotel to all travelers is Muscatine area.
I have enjoyed so much staying at this hotel for the week. It is new, clean and staff is pleasant and helpful. The hotel also has a nice complimentary continental breakfast. Unlike other continental breakfast elsewhere, there is an omelet bar. Every morning, I looked forward to the breakfast because the hotel staff, Joyce, helped me make a fresh delicious omelet every morning while the Front Desk Manager, Mital, would come by to greet and chat with her smile. On my last day, I came to breakfast late so the omelet bar had already been put away. I was so sad then Joyce came to the rescue and retrieved the omelet bar from the back room right away to make me an extra large combination omelet! I will always remember your delicious omelet and wonderful service, Joyce. Thank you, Mital and Joyce for making my stay so memorable.
Loved the pillows on beds. Breakfast in the morning was fantastic with made to order omlets. Modern hotel. Place is very clean. Liked mural art work in the fittness room. Overall stay was good. Will stay at this hotel if back in the town.
Desk was extremely friendly. Very happy with the room, pool, staff and breakfast! Best hotel in town! Checked in at another hotel and it was absolutely horrible. Came to this one later at night and they were very happy to help us! Recommend to everyone!
Clean, fresh and comfortable room. Nice furniture. Friendly staff. Real eggs, made to order for breakfast. I would stay here again next time I find myself in the area for business or pleasure in the future.
Hotel was some what cleaned , bathroom had hair in tub and the breakfast was good except the blonde hair girl making the home made omelets wasn't that good and was all over the place, but the from desk clerk was very nice !
Surprised with the breakfast. They have dedicated chef who will make an omelet in front of you with what ever you want in your omelet. You can have chef add some veggies & meats & cheese in your omelet. Me and wife ordered omelet. It was delicious. Our room was very clean.
Amazing best hotel in Muscatine I would stay here and No where else. Service was great and friendly and hotel was very clean my girls had a blast their only thing that could be better is room service!!
We love this hotel, the front desk staff, maids, and location. The prices are also really good. We recommend this place to anyone looking for clean comfort and a friendly staff. The staff goes out of their way to treat guests right.
Room was unbearably hot and dry, adjusted thermostat to 60 and it was still warm. Not sure what was above us, we were on the first floor, but had nonstop walking and muffled music all through the night.
My family and I stayed at this hotel while we were on town for Christmas. The staff was great, the room was clean, the tasty breakfast had several options to choose from. We will definitely stay again.
We have stayed here multiple times over the past couple of years - and it's still on the top of our list of places to stay in Muscatine. Immaculate rooms, delicious breakfast with made to order omelets, and a staff that is absolutely stellar. The housekeepers even helped us to play a practical joke on our adult children who were traveling with us!! What a wonderful place to stay when you are away from home.
Rooms very nicely done, good firm mattresses. Bathtub slightly dated but very clean. Check-in and check out with great hospitality. Staff very helpful. Better than average buffet breakfast. Pet friendly property.
We've stayed here before but it's been a while and got into town early and we were able to get into our room right away. We needed some ice and found the ice bucket full of garbage which is not impressive. The room was clean other than that and the beds were comfortable even though the mattress is showing it's wear. The tv is not in HD and provides a very poor picture especially when watching a football game. The wifi is also very slow even with few guests staying there. They did provide a nice addition to their breakfast by having freshly cooked eggs available for each guest. They'll fix fried, scrambled or an omelet to your liking. A real nice addtion to their breakfast.
Stayed here over Thanksgiving to visit my wife's family. Very clean and friendly people, and breakfast in the morning was good. -The standard ham/sausage, eggs, cereal, coffee and juice was provided. Will stay here again.
We expected an average facility and room. We were surprised to find an excellent facility and awesome room. The grounds were neat and trim, the lobby area was pleasant, and the rooms were very clean. The beds were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here the next time we are visiting family.
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel. We enjoyed our stay. Employees treated our family right. Breakfast next morning was delicious. Location of this hotel is easy to find. Several choices of restaurants nearby.
Noise from fitness center through room's common wall was pounding each morning and night. A/C in room fluctuated from arctic to desert heat. Lighting in room was too dim to work or even pick between dark colored clothes. My business associates who were staying in other rooms didn't have the fitness center experience, but also complained of the A/C and room lighting.
The staff make this hotel, but the hotel itself is fair. Our room was fairly clean, but one of the beds had some strange stains on the side of it. Also, the insulation is poor in the facility. We heard people roaming the halls throughout the night, even with our personal sleep machine going. Oh, and the heating/Air unit worked poorly and was old - despite their 100% renovated claim. The breakfast area was clean and the staff working it were very friendly.
Upon Check-In lady working at desk gave me complementory voucher for a drink and an appetizor for nearby Italian restaurant. Next morning during breakfast hours, I was surprised by made to order omelette. It was owesome. My overall stay was great at this hotel.
The Hotel and staff were very nice, staff helpful and friendly. rooms were nice and clean, made to order omelettes were great very convenient to many restaurants fast food walk-able to them. many other stores with in minutes by car
This hotel had a very friendly staff and very clean rooms. They were very acceptable of dogs. The breakfast was one of the best that we have run across in our travels. It was very quiet in this hotel. Very nice for those who want to sleep and leave.
Saturday night stay while in Muscatine for a reunion. The room was very clean. We did not spend much time there but the television channel selection was top notch. We travel often, rarely have as nice a selection as we enjoyed here. The breakfast the next morning was great. The earlier reviews were very accurate. The fresh omelets were delicious. I should add that the service was great. My wife told me that Destiny deserved a special mention.
Who ever is managing this hotel knows how to of Hospitality. From hotel exterior to inside of rooms, lot of detailed attention is given on design, cleaning and overall maintainance. I have worked in hospitality for 5 years, so i can tell this is well ran hotel operation.
Excellent employee service, the employees went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. A special thank you to Veronica, Lynn, Kriston, Joyce, and Destiny. Not to steer you away, but the owner needs to do significant maintenance work. The room that we were in had an air conditioner that did not work. We were unable to have the air conditioner fixed, so had to move rooms for a third time. Destiny was very accommodating by upgrading us. So if the maintenance issues are fixed, our stay would be great and we would give the hotel a high rating. I will return to TripAdvisor after our stay is complete to update how the maintenance problems are handled around Thanksgiving.
We were in town for a family visit and needed a place to stay. This hotel was very clean and the staff were wonderful! The breakfast was terrific as well! We will be staying here again the next time we are in Muscatine.
Excellent customer service. Bedding very comfortable Nice decor All staff went out of their way to make sure needs were met. Will definitely stay here again when I return to see friends. Location is good for getting around anywhere easliy
We stayed two nights in a King with sofa bed for our children's soccer games. We liked the extra room for all of the soccer gear and overnight bags. We never felt like we were tripping over each other. Plenty of eating options within walking distance. Plenty of breakfast items - eggs, hash browns, cereal, waffles, yogurt, fruit, granola, oatmeal. Yum!
Very much Impressed with Breakfast. Good varieties and made to order omelet station was amazing. I have never stayed at any hotel which offers made to order omelets. Will definitely stay here again to have omelet made in front of me in the morning during breakfast hours. Cool..
Great place to stay. Accommodations were excellent, staff was courteous and friendly. Good location, close to restaurants and by pass. Second stay within a few months. Room was clean, wifi connection was great.
We only booked one night at Best Western in Muscatine because we could not get all 4 nights reservation at Hampton Inn. So we booked 1st night at Best Western and other 3 nights at Hampton Inn. After staying 1st night at this Best Western, we decided to continue our stay & end up cancelling 3 nights at Hampton Inn. Staff at this hotel is very friendly and helpfull. Made to Order Omlet Station during breakfast hours at this hotel won our heart. That was amazing. We have never exprienced any hotel offer this in the past.
I was here for a long term stay and the staff made it feel like home. The room was always clean and ready for me. The breakfast was very good and a good selection to choose from. The staff was always went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The property was very well kept. I would and will stay here again.
Made a spur-of-the-moment (and late reservation) trip to the Best Western in Muscatine. First time having stayed in town despite having been through and around it many times. Staff at both check-in and check-out were extremely friendly and seemed to enjoy making a customer feel welcome. Hard to find at times these days. The room was fresh and clean. Smelled good. Had an accessible room due to the late reservation as the hotel was sold out. The bed was perfectly comfortable and served it's purpose. The hotel from the exterior is very attractive, especially lit up at night. Easy to see and find from either entrance off of the highways. Would gladly stay there again.
good location, convenient, near 61 (I think that is the main freeway) so close to that and close to downtown, which is under construction but is a very nice old style downtown with a variety of shops. Quiet. We had a nice stay. Didn't really eat the breakfast there, so no comment, we had too many family activities.
Stayed at this hotel many times since year 2000 when this property was Fairfield Inn. property went down hill as a Fairfield Inn over the years. It is completely renovated now and it is Best Western now. They did such a nice job with renovation. Staff is nice and our room that we stayed in was very clean. This is my go to hotel & will always stay here.
For some reason I love this hotel. This is my 3rd stay with this Best Western in Muscatine. I always feel comfortable at this hotel. People working at this hotel are super nice. Rooms are always cleaned immaculately. Will also stay at this hotel if I am in Muscatine in the future.
My stay at this hotel was excellent. Room was clean. Full wall picture in fitness room is very inspiring & modern. I forgot my wallet full of cash in the breakfast area. Ronnie working at front desk found it & securely kept it. When I inquired about it at desk, Ronnie returned it. Cash was not touched. I would highly recommend this hotel as this is clean, safe & an honest staff in place at this hotel.
I have stayed at BW Pearl City a number of times and would definitely return. It's a great value for the price in this area with great customer service, quiet and clean rooms, and a decent breakfast. Simply signing up as a BW rewards member, I can now get even greater discounts than the AAA rate. I tried a couple of cheaper hotels in Muscatine that were dirty and not as good a breakfast or exercise rooms and have found this one the best for the price to meet my needs.
The cleaning staff are new - so the front desk staff told us. Probably not properly trained. Maybe not given enough time to clean a room while they are in the learning phase. The first room had spilled juice in the fridge that had run out and onto the carpet. We were moved to a new room, that room was even worse, this time the fridge was still FULL of items, even moldy sandwiches. Finally, it was getting VERY late by the time they found a 3rd room for us, and then we found problems there too, with metal shavings in the carpet (she had checked to make sure the fridge was clean though. We would have been happy if they had someone there to just clean the fridge in the first room - so we would not have had to move, but the front desk staff was not "trained" for that so she moved us instead. Finally, by the third move to another room, I asked if they were going to at least give me a discount or a free night. I got a whole $25 discount, yay - sarcasm.
I have to complement you on Vicikie @ the front desk! She is the most pleasant person I have had at any hotel I have stayed at! She does a great job & i travel 7 months to different places and she does a great job at checking me in and informing me of the hotel amenities. Thanks, Dennis Kloke
We stayed at Best Western Pearl City this week for 2 nights. When we checked in we were greeted with feeling like we were more of an annoyance to the staff behind the desk. She did not greet us, she would not look at us, and it was very obvious she would rather be doing something other then check us in. The second night we stayed there she was also on duty and none of our keys worked. When we requested to have them updated to include our 2 night stay she was the same way. She didn't even look up from what she was doing to look at us. We were most defiantly a bother to her. When she had gotten done she just through them on the counter without looking up and went back to what she was doing. Every time we came in and out she was sitting behind the desk looking down and never greeted us as well. However the day staff was wonderful. They smiled, made eye contact, talked to us and just overall had a very welcoming presence about them. They were a delight and more then made up for the rudeness during the evening we uncounted both nights.
This Best Western is better than Best Western Plus that we stayed in Indiana earlier this year. Very modern looking & newly renoveated hotel. We spend 2 nights at this hotel and our entire family enjoyed staying at this hotel. Breakfast, indoor pool were great and Staff is very friendly.
We were here for a wedding, and this was chosen for their block. Overall, the hotel was pretty good. I was impressed with the front desk staff, the breakfast (both continental and had some hot items, too), and they offered a clean pool that we didn't end up using. Our room was clean, but it did have a noticeable musky smell to it. I didn't want to peg down the review too much since it was not brought up to staff to correct. I would not be concerned about booking another room here; I would simply make sure it's to your liking and they would try to help you if it was not OK.
We booked at this hotel by looking at other reviews that were owesome. Our experiance at this hotel was exactly as good as other have put their reviews on Tripadvisor. Picture perfect hotel that is very clean and with modern look. Will stay here again when visiting Muscatine next summer.
Newly renovated. Nicely appointed. Very pleasantly surprised. Staff were very pleasant and warmly helpful. Downtown riverfront is within short drive. Rental car office nearby (about 1 block) but be advised to have CREDIT card (NO DEBIT accepted). Within 20 minutes from hotel, there are lots of things to see in nearby towns (Wilton, Iowa City, Wild Cat Den State Park, Riverfront etc). Riverfront street was being renovated so was slightly disappointed that we had to drive alternate lanes around but how nice it will be when complete! Splash park at the Riverfront for kids. Lots of good restaurants too near hotel and driving distance. HyVee grocery is very close too and if you have never visited one, do so!
My son was getting married. This hotel and their staff went out of there way to make our stay a great experience. The rooms were good. The kids had a good time at the pool. The breakfast was good. If back in the area, I will be staying at this hotel.
Our room was very clean. Upon arrival we were greeted with smile by hotel reception. My husband is very sensitive about hotel stay. It is hard to satisfy him when it comes to cleaning and work in order of the hotel. He also give this Best Western 5 out of 5. We will definitely stay here again whenever we are in Muscatine.
Great place to stay.very clean, quiet, close to coffee shops, food establishments, grocery stores.Pet friendly as well & great staff! Pool is on smaller side but that would be the only thing I would say was negative
Loved this hotel. Accommodations were as excellent as your staff - except (don't you love it when people say that) for two things - both bathroom related. The bathroom was SO small that my wife had to leave the room just so I could step out of the shower. Secondly, the towels were inches away from the toilet, and were at seat level. Have you never seen the study on what happens to water particles when you flush a toilet. Please put the towel racks back on the wall - above the "splash" zone. This was gross! Absolutely loved your staff, and the continental breakfast was the best my wife and I have had in years.
Great place to stay in northeastern Iowa. Hotel is quiet, has attractive spacious grounds, and guest service is excellent. The facility appears relatively new but the staff is very good and has the art of hoteling down.
This hotel is located as you come into town. Very close to restaurants and shopping. The hotel was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. We didn't use the pool, however it did look quite inviting. They serve a hot breakfast which is nice. The only reason I didn't give the hotel 5 Stars is because of our room location, which was literally next to vending and ice. We could hear when someone was getting ice or pop all night, as they were directly to the left of our room door. This hotel is nice, just avoid room 105 for the noise. I would definitely stay here again if I need to be in Muscatine again.
They were so accommodating for our large group....very helpful when reserving a block of rooms for our group. When we forgot some important items they immediately arranged for shipping the items to us!!!!!
We enjoyed our clean and comfortable room with a tasty breakfast in the morning. You too will enjoy your stay at this motel. There was plenty of parking and many area eatries. It was easy to find! A friend recommended it to me!
Only there for 2 nights and I had to leave early in the morning for work (which is why i can only give 4/5). Everything was great, the check in and check out process, location. Hotel was quiet, everything you can ask for on a business trip.
Really good, clean place to stay. Staff was great. Solid breakfast as well. Ammenities were good as well. Would definitely comeback if needed. Also, liked the location and centralization of everyone. Great experience
We were in town for a soccer tournament. We are Starwood members and tend to favor Sheratons and Westins, but there were none in the area. We were so pleasantly surprised with the quality at the Best Western, Muscatine IA! Hotel has obviously been recently renovated, our room was spacious, clean, modern. Bed was comfortable. Staff at desk was super friendly. Breakfast was fine, typical...but they did work hard to keep the area clean during the meal time. Great stay for a cheap $100 a night!
Rooms were clean, location is in the middle of town near several restaurants. Looked like a New hotel. Extra large rooms. Breakfast had ample choices including hot options. Will definitely stay here again.
I stayed more than one month in this hotel... Rooms have fridge and microwave, the bed is extremely comfortable, with decent pillows. Location is excellent, very close to restaurants and a shopping mall. Internet is decent/ok (speeds of 100-250kbs) - ok for skype audio calls, but not very good for video calls. Not a big issue though.
The room was pretty dirty honestly. There was hair in our sheets, in the bathroom (especially the tub), toothpaste on the mirror, the bathroom fan didn't work, and for whatever reason there was a chunk of wood under the sheets in the bed closest to the window. It was like a large sized piece of bark or something. Another lovely thing in the room was the door handle to the closest wasn't screwed on, so that popped right off when we went to go use that. The room was also ridiculously tiny, especially for the price. The room was such a let down we didn't even bother to complain. We just waited for our two days to be up and get out, since you can't cancel your stay or get refunded anyway. Which is also ridiculous. We thought we'd just give the place a try since we've never stayed in a best western, but we're just going to stick to our regular hotel accommodations when we stay in Muscatine. The only up side was the breakfast. Another thing to keep in mind is that the pool is tiny and there is no hot tub.
Stayed at many hotels. From the moment I entered the parking lot and reached up to my room, I realized that I am at some special hotel. Hotel looked very clean and lot of attention to the smallest details is been given by management at this location. When i was in the breakfast next morning, I was asked "How is your stay with us?" by lady working at desk by name Mittal. This means lot to me. Seems like they try to get feedback from customer and try to improve upon it. I felt like i am being cared.
Other than the side door not working in the cold, rainy weather, we had a great stay. It was just very frustrating trying to get our stuff brought inside when the door wasn't even working with our keys. The trip was a bereavement trip, but the best choice to pick was family.
I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago when this property was Fairfield Inn. My experience at that time was GOOD. But now this property is Best Western, completely renovated from top to bottom. My experience during my recent stay was Great. Now they have fitness room at this property which I love the most. Will stay here again when I m in Muscatine.
This wasn't my usual choice for my in town stay, but I'm so happy I discovered it! What a nice place! From check in to check out it was a great stay. Very comfortable room, plentiful breakfast, helpful and super staff.
We used to stay here when it was a Fairfield Inn but had to switch away when our pet was with us. This was our first stay since they came under the Best Western crown. We were more than impressed with the improvements. The best addition under this ownership was the addition of the overhang at the front door. Too many times we had to load/unload in the rain. Glad this was added. The only hiccup was the check in. The desk clerk was nowhere to be found for about 20 minutes. He was dealing with a guest issue on another floor. We were only issued only one room key but it was no big deal. The room was very clean and as I mentioned before, recently renovated. DirecTV was hit and miss due to some heavy rain in the area. Breakfast was ok. I didn't try the omelettes made-to-order. A good idea, but it's off to the side and seemed like she was closing up a little before breakfast hours were up and nobody was ordering anyway. My bagel was hard as a rock and there were no biscuits to go with the gravy but I still found some good eats. Best to get there early for the best selection. I will definitely stay here again when traveling with our dog but future travelers might need to know there is a limited neighborhood to walk your dogs. Ad added tip to management: I know you're confident in your reviews, but ease up on the hints to submit a review on Tripadvisor. We got our first hint at checkout and I received at least three more reminders in my email in later days.
Was here on business, was a bit skeptical as when I lived in the city before the hotel didn't have the best reputation. (prior owner) This was a great stay, clean, comfy beds, I didn't have room service everyday, but I received a nice little basket of towels and necessities outside my room. That was fantastic.
Good value snd nicely remodeled Best Western. Rooms were nice and clean. Lobby had good seating so we could sit and visit with family. Great choices at breakfast with added option to have them custom make an omelet.
I have stayed at several hotels in Muscatine over the years when I'm in town on business. My previous hotels were all booked the night I needed a room so I tried the Best Western and was pleasantly surprised! Rooms, lobby and common areas have all been redecorated and furnishings such as the mattress, linens and television in my room were all above average. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
Located in a smallish town, I was not expecting much. Much to my surprise this was a delightful stay and choice one i will repeat again. Clean, modern, made to order omelets..GREAT!! The staff waa helpful and the location was quiet and well lit.
I love this hotel. The pool is open until midnight so you can swim before you go to sleep. The staff is extremely helpful and professional and friendly. I highly recommend The Pearl Inn Best Western. Don't miss you.
We were a littel concerned going to a small town hotel but we had a very good experience at this hotel. The room was clean. The breakfast in the morning was consistent and good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall we were very satisfied.
We chose this property because of what we read on Tripadvisor. High ratings are good, but I think the comments in the evaluations give insight into what to expect as a guest. We found the property to be everything we expected…and more. It's very clean and well maintained. Things work like they're supposed to. High ceilings, large spacious room. Early risers are offered a “cooked right here, right now” omelet. That's common at upscale hotels but very unusual at economy lodging. Huge TV with upscale DirecTV service…all the movie channels and sports networks. I'm a road warrior so attention to people who use the Internet is a big deal. There were five electrical plugs at the desk. Fast download speeds…30+ MB. And, a gas lift chair the works The pool is not large, but is well thought out. There is no deep end (about 3' on one end, 4' on the other)…great for lap swimmers and little people. Gobs of fast food chain stores near…some within walking distance. Great little hotel…and it's reasonably priced.
everything was excellent! clean and up dated rooms very attentive staff, everyone was very helpful and very very nice and professional will continue using this place when ever we need a room you will not be disappointed
My family and I had to stay in Muscatine due to an accident and we were lucky to have found this Best Western by chance. Our stay was beyond pleasant!! The front desk receptionist was friendly and accommodating!! The hotel was modern, clean, had a pool, and to top it off allowed pets!! The lobby is warm and inviting!! It offered to computers to keep my girls busy with homework and had warm and cold continental breakfast for us the next day. I would highly recommend this BW to anyone!! This was the best bang for our buck!! Thank you BW for making our stay the highlight of our situation!!
Loved Breakfast in the morning. New hotel. Good Location in the middle of town.Stayed at this hotel many times. Beds r very comfortable. Little bit of issue with key not working during my last stay but front desk made new key and it worked after that. Highly recommended hotel in Muscatine.
Great hotel outside of Iowa City near the University of Iowa. About 45 minute drive to campus but it is a fast drive Hotel was clean, friendly staff, nice hot breakfast included with stay. My 2 year old loved the pool. It is a smaller pool so I can see it getting crowded if the hotel is booked. Rooms were clean, beds were comfy, nice flat screen TV with a plethora of channels(many kid friendly) The city of Muscatine is small but there are plenty of chain restaurants and some nice family ones as well. There is a Walmart and Walgreens which was nice because we always forget something. We would definitely come back to this hotel on our next visit to the University
Brand new hotel. Breakfast with hot omelets in the morning was delicious. Enjoyed indoor pool. Nicest hotel in muscatine. Will always stay at this place in the future whenever i am in the town. Overall room decore and design of the hotel is very modern .
Great remodeled, clean hotel. Breakfast was hot and fruit was fresh. Room was clean and quiet as I was on the 3rd Floor. Really liked fitness center which had tread mill, bike, weight machine, TV's, water, etc. Left Hampton Inn and now a new BW customer.
We had the most enjoyable stay at this hotel. Looks like brand new hotel with very modern design. My kids had great time in pool. Breakfast had ample choices and omlet was owesome. Will definitely stay here again.
We requested an upper floor but when we were given the keycard, it was on the first floor. She was able to switch the room. The room itself is very nice. We had a king size bed but when my husband changes position, I felt his every move. I think it's not those mattress with the individual coils. Cost was twice as much as another nearby hotel. Breakfast was ok, not as much variety as other places I've been to. Scrambled eggs, sausage, french toast sticks, etc. I didn't find make your own waffles or oatmeal like some places. They only had one flavor for the yogurt. There were a lot of restaurants nearby and a Walmart across.
For service, cleanliness and amenities this is an excellent value. Compared to other popular chains, the new BW is a very good value. I hope they repeat the upgrade I experienced in Muscatine at all of their locations. I will be using them more often.
I was very pleased with the service and the quality of my room. Only to be awakened by the savory aroma of the great hot breakfast being served. My stay was absolutely wonderful, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting!
Hotel was fine. Elevator not working was a pain. Suppose to be fixed on Monday morning. Don't know if it was. Should have contacted individuals to let them know that it was not working especially if they were putting people on the third floor. a bit of a pain going up and down.
My co-worker and I had an extended stay of 2 weeks. The rooms were nice, the hotel was clean, and the staff was very courteous and friendly. I really appreciated the fact that they served a decent breakfast every day and as to the fact that you can get coffee in the lobby anytime day or night. It was also very convenient that we could do laundry at the hotel without having to go to a laundromat. There are several places to eat within walking distance including Applebee's restaurant. Oftentimes you will find a fresh batch of cookies in the lobby. If you don't see them just ask I'm sure they'll make you some.
Overall the room was above average and the hotel was clean. The craftsmanship Of either the original build or upgrades was poor. Bad transitions from tile to carpet. Poor patchwork of the drywall. Fortunately, the aesthetics of the room, coziness, and cleanliness out weighed the minor details. Breakfast was extremely below standards. Powdered eggs are what they are, but can be flavored a little more with some butter. The sausage links were inedible, had no flavor, and they had the consistency of rubber. The hash browns also had no flavor and were more like bad mashed potatoes.
We we're very happy with the service even though the elevator was out of service the room was clean and the guy at the drsk was very nice. We will definitely stay there again when we come up to visit our grandchildren
My stay at the Pearl City Inn was perfect, starting at check-in, by a woman named Vickie. She greeted me with a smile (a sincere smile), with great eye contact, and a genuine welcome to the hotel. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. What more could I need? I was there 4 nights and everyone who worked there gave me a smile and sometimes a brief conversation. They showed interest. I had breakfast each morning in the hotel, continental style and it was good. No complaints and it was clean, with someone cleaning tables as soon as the guests left the table. Bottom line is that I enjoyed the stay and a big part of the reason were the people. I felt that they appreciated me as a guest. I'll stay there again, when I'm in the area.
This hotel has been renovated recently, and is very nice. Clean, and quiet rooms. Nice pool for families, and small but nice work-out room. With a little more variety for breakfast, it would be a 10 in this price range. Will stay here again.
I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the new BW in Muscatine, Iowa. Very Chic furnishings, SUPER comfortable beds. Great full breakfast in the mornings; Extremely pleasant & helpful staff. Will definitely stay there again next time I am in the area ! The AC rocks as well !
The stay here has been a great experience, This place was immaculate from top to bottom. The staff was so helpful and friendly they felt like family. The breakfast was hot, frsh and delicious not to mention they never ran out of anything. When I am in the area, I am staying here.
We came to Muscatine to catch the RAGBRAI bus travelling west the next day. Our room was clean and modern. We did not swim in the pool but it looked it was well cared for. The staff was aware that many guests would be leaving early the next day and shifted the breakfast time to an earlier time in the morning to accommodate them. They didn't have to do that, the staff was friendly and went the extra mile, in my opinion.
Hotel exceeded expectations. Not only was the room clean and extremely comfortable, but everything was updated and looked great. The breakfast area was well stocked and the employees were friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel. Great price too.
we were recently here for a soccer tournament, nice little hotel with a good pool, wonderful staff and it was close to a lot of restaurants , both fast food and sit down, all with walking distance, next time to Muscatine we will for sure be placing a reservation here!!
This hotel is small and convenient to all of Muscatine, Iowa. Positives are convenience, small in a "safe feeling" way, very good free breakfast, clean room, updated & modern décor, lots of good comfy pillows, very friendly & helpful staff. Several fast food restaurants and Applebees next door. Negatives are that my room was # 105 right beside the ice machine which was loud and the ironing board NEEDS a new cover. The foam in the cover is old and transferred onto my clothing and also allowed the metal frame to leave marks on my clothes. The shower is great but you can't adjust the spray direction at all. Seems designed for a very tall person. I'm 5'4" and could barely reach it.
Very nicely updated. Courteous staff. Clean and good breakfast. Definitely recommend. Was going to pass up Muscatine for fear of the quality of the places to stay. Glad I didn't. Best stop of the trip.
I have been staying at this hotel for 5 nights a week sinc the first of May 2016. I will conyinue to stay here 5 nights a week until my project is finished the end of September, 2016. My room is always clean and the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable of the area.
I had to extend my stay by a few days at the last minute. The staff did this with a minimum of fuss. They were also helpful in recommending places to eat and to see. One staff member in particular was very helpful her name was Destiny and she was always helpful and friendly.
I have family in the Muscatine area and have stayed here several times recently. The rooms are clean, the beds are very comfortable and the staff is amazing... Our thanks to CJ, Destiny,Vicky and all if the others who helped make our stay enjoyable.
Arrived in area without previous reservation. Called and staff was quite accommodating in securing room. Hotel has recently been updated and is well done in latest décor. Room was very nice, but bathroom is a bit small. Breakfast was adequate and well stocked. Would stay here again.
The rooms were fresh and clean. I really appreciate a well managed hotel with a capable staff. I have stayed in all of the hotels in Muscatine over the years and this has been the best one. The breakfast included hot eggs and bacon. The room was at a refreshing 70 degrees when I stepped in. You are walking distance to several good restaurants.
Great service at desk, fast and friendly. Pool was nice, even though quite shallow. Rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Bed was very comfy. Could have used some foam pillows, but they were not available. You might want to bring your own from home if you prefer a firmer pillow. Breakfast was included, but could have used more food for the guests to be available. Overall a very nice experience.
This hotel was a second choice which turned out to be a very good choice. The upgrades, service and value were a pleasant surprise. I will be staying at BW more often now that I have had 2 very positive experiences in a row.
Rooms were nice, staff was very nice, very clean lobby and rooms. Breakfast could have offered a few more choices, but was typical of other hotel chains. Very comfortable beds and nice television. Easy to make reservations.
Very nice room and very friendly staff. Rooms were clean and all the appliances worked well. King bed was very comfortable and there was a great complimentary breakfast. Great place to stay!! will defiantly stay here again.
My wife and I stopped in for the night during a short leisure trip. Very nice stay and super beds. Very clean and great breakfast. Check-in went smoothly and checkout was express. The hotel had all the amenities including a pool; we didn't use.
Great hotel. good beds, clean and quiet. Very knowledgeable staff as far as area restaurants and entertainment . Breakfast is good and a large variety of items for any taste. Will most definitely stay here again!
There are two Gems working at the Pearl City Inn. Please, immediately double the salaries of these two ladies! Vicki(evening),and Ruby(morning) are the best desk staff one could ever want. Even let us stay past checkout time. I don't give excellent ratings often, but this motel deserves one. It was very clean, quiet, quick check in, good breakfast/coffee, and easy in-easy out. Room was clean even in corners, beds comfortable. Shower, flat screen/remote, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker worked well, and AC was quiet and efficient. Didn't use the pool but it looked clean and inviting. Overall very nice, and we would love to stay here again.
We found this hotel for one night on short notice after other plans did not work out. It was great in every way. It is convenient to the main highway and restaurants, had plenty of parking, was very clean, had very comfortable mattresses, and served a nice continental breakfast. We were unprepared to use the pool and fitness room, but they also looked first rate. The staff, both evening and morning, were very helpful.
The room was beautiful and the service was excellent. I am excited about saving 50.00 on my next stay with best western as it was offered to me I would recommend best western to my friends as we had a pleasant stay.
I travel for work monthly and this hotel is always clean, friendly, and well staffed with helpful employees. Location is within walking distance of several sports bars. Apple Bees and BWW's, to name at least 2 eateries.
We were pleasantly surprised that the motel had just remodeled and the rooms were beautiful. Very nice young lady at the front desk, very helpful! We would recommend this Motel to anyone that is traveling through this area.
Rooms were nice, stay at the front desk was very good, breakfast was good. I travel to Muscatine once a month and we will stay there again for sure. The pool was very clean. The location is very good.
Bed was very comfortable. It was close to where we were spending most of our time. Breakfast was standard, but was surprised there were no raisins or cinnamon for the oatmeal (not a big deal, they had 6 other choices). We would stay here again. Considered the Super 8, but it's reviews on TripAdvisor were not flattering. Cleanliness and comfortable bed were the reasons we chose BW.
After reading reviews of other reviews for lodging in Muscatine I was really concerned. My requirements for lodging is cleanliness. I did not find any areas in this facility that I had an issue with. Even the pool area was clean.
Love this place. Professional, courteous and friendly staff; clean and comfortable rooms. Fitness center is good. When staying in this area - this is the hotel we choose. I travel 3 months out of the year and this is the best place in Muscatine.
looks like recently renovated. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was clean and well appointed. There was a good variety of breakfast items and coffee available 24 hours. location is the key for this hotel.
I stay here monthly for work and it's always clean, quiet, and very affordable. Front desk staff is amazing and breakfast never disappoints. Location is quick and simple to get in and out of and hotel has been very recently updated throughout.
Good quality hotel. Good position for the only shops in town. Many restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend pizza delivery from the Pizza Ranch. Asking for long reviews is not sensible and I have nothing more to add.
We (3 of us) were booked at another location we found to be under construction. Went to the Best Western and were accommodated royally by the staff. No reservation, and we got 3 rooms at the same price we had reserved down the street. Cannot praise them any more for a quiet, clean, friendly atmosphere during a hectic business trip. Thanks!
First time staying at this hotel in Muscatine after they renovated the place let me tell you they did amazing job. Very clean, nice and friendly hotel. Breakfast was really good omelets, French toasts and make your own Oatmeal and many more options to choose from.
I have stayed here several times now and the facility is always neat and clean. the location is easy to find and located conveniently among various restaurants within walking distance as well. One of the nicest thing I enjoy about staying here is Vickie. She is always working whenever I stay and the cheerful familiar face is always comforting to see. She always looks very professional and is accommodating and polite. You have a great employee staff and that's what makes a business successful.
Great value for the price. Friendly staff. Warm cookies at check-in. Very clean facility. Room amenities are in great shape. Flatscreen television. All the workout equipment was in good condition and functioning. Omelette bar at breakfast was a very nice surprise. Very nice place. I definitely recommend it and will be back.
Newly renovated, staffed by very friendly people, made to order omelettes for breakfast, very clean rooms - Kudos to Destiny (Front Desk manager) to Phyllis (breakfast room supervisor) to Vickie (evening desk manager) and to all the housekeepers who run this motel like they own it. We will be staying here the next time we visit Muscatine!!
I would like to say that Vickie at the Best Western is the reason why I stay here. The Hotel is very nice too. The rooms are clean and neat. I have never did a review at any hotel and normally stay at other Hotels. This hotel is one of a kind. You'll love staying here. Great placing to eat is close by and all the other places to shop too.
The front desk personnel was VERY friendly (I wish I would've remembered her name). I was immediately greeted with a friendly smile and the check-in was quick. I liked the fact that I was able to request an early check-in online, as well. When we got to our room, my first thought was "such a clean room!" I was told that the hotel went through a huge remodel and I can say that they did a nice job! Dislike about my room: The door did not shut automatically, like other hotels do. You can tell that the door locks were re-done, and I guess the alignment was off a bit. You had to give it a slight push, which didn't bother me too much. Another thing that bothered me was the lack of dresser drawers. Our top drawer was filled with miscellaneous items (i.e. the coffee maker, various papers, etc.) What I liked: The mini fridge, microwave, nice size television, work desk, and height of shower head (because it accommodates the taller individuals and the water pressure was good). The pool area was nice, (small), but nice! Nothing amazing about it, but it was nice for my children to do laps and just have a nice evening in the pool. The pool was by the elevator, so you couldn't miss it. I didn't see or utilize their work out room, so I can not comment on that. When we arrived at their free breakfast area in the morning, we were cheerfully greeted by the same front desk lady, (which was really nice), as well as the breakfast employee. Disliked about the free breakfast: Their eggs contained way too much water and their coffee was terrible. I went to McDonald's (across the street) to get better coffee. I LOVE my coffee in the morning, so that was a huge disappointment. Liked about the breakfast: Variety of yogurt, fruit, and waffle maker. Overall: The elevator is REALLY small and you can tell it is old. It might be difficult to use a luggage cart to bring up your belongings. I did enjoy my stay and would return here if I'm in the area. The hotel is conveniently close to many different places to eat (KFC, Taco Bell, McDonald's, Subway, etc.)
Stayed here on business. The hotel has recently been renovated and looks great. I used the fitness room once and it was nice with good equipment. Staff was very friendly. The room was clean and quiet. Will definitely stay here again when I am in town for business without question. Great location.
A recent (told that it was less than two months old) rehab and conversion from a Fairfield, attractive lobby, very nice room. Then came the Depression. The remodeling looks like someone's brother-in-law did the work; skimpiest breakfast we've ever encountered at a Best Western; and all the amenities (TV, fridge, microwave, etc.) looked like they were retained from the old property. In the breakfast area, a genuine antique: how long since you've seen a microwave without a turntable? Sorry. Next time, we'll keep looking.
We were worried that this hotel was going to be a roach motel. We were surprised to find an almost brand new one. The lobby was up to date, the visual fire place you see when you walk in is pretty cool. The rooms were very nice. Breakfast was a plus except the coffee. Man that powdered stuff is just not good. Close to restaurants and ice cream at culvers.
Cj and his staff were amazing to us!!! We had problems at another local hotel a week before our wedding and cj made everything right for us and beyond! I stayed in the king sweet with my mother and daughter the night before my wedding then all the girls in the wedding came to get hair n makeup and dressed for the wedding the next day. We asked for housekeeping to come in rt away in the am to tidy up so the place was in good shape for pictures and videography while getting ready. No matter what time of day we went in and out the staff was always chipper and greeted us with warm friendly smiles! I highly recommend this hotel ESPECIALLY with all the gorgeous new updates and remodeling they've done! Can't wait to come back!!!
We had stayed at this hotel a few years ago, it has been renamed and updated.Room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Applebee's right across the hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.
I was pleasantly surprised at the new, modern renovations at this hotel. The building was clearly just turned into a Best Western as the sign at the entrance had a plastic cover over it. The rooms were very clean as was the nice front lobby area to include the snack area for the continental breakfast (which was very good). The pool is very small and only 3 feet deep at its deepest and no hot tub, but for me, that wasn't an issue. The room rate that I paid was reasonable (I stayed in a king suite). The staff was friendly and very accommodating.
Clean updated rooms, friendly staff, and good selection for a quick breakfast. Granddaughter loved the waffles. Was right next to the elevator and didn't even hear it. Would recommend this hotel and if back in this area will stay there again.
This hotel has been newly remodeled and looks good at a quick glance; however some of the finishes appear hurriedly done and wonder what it will look like in a few years. We had great service upon check in and a nice breakfast.
This was my second stay here. The property is not bad, but could use some updating. That being said, my room was spotless. I think with some updates including replacing the outdated furnishing etc. this place would be in great shape. The room was clean and comfortable but looked like everything in it was from the 80's. There were flat screen TV's which was nice. What made the stay great was the staff. Very friendly and upbeat. The front desk was especially great. It's really nice to walk in to a smile and a greeting. So many places forget this. Even housekeeping here was the same. Smiles and a hello. All this really goes a long way to make a great impression. Did not get to try the breakfast as it was very busy during my stay due to a soccer tournament that was in town. Not a problem for me. The pool was clean and well taken care of. This was a enjoyable stay and the staff here should be recognized for the way they treat the customers. I've stayed in some high end places that would benefit from the was this staff treated the guest. If anyone from management reads the reviews here, Marie deserves some special recognition for her wonderful personality and smile. She was working at the front desk when I checked in and she really started the stay off right! Anytime she was working and I was coming in or out, she had a smile, a hello and always seemed happy to be there. You have an asset in Marie!
I have been on an extended motorcycle trip. I have stayed at 4 star properties when available. There simply isn't such a property available in Muscatine and I ended up there on my trip. The young lady that checked me in was awesome. Big smile and a helpful attitude. I asked about a local restaurant and she looked it up online for me. If her supervisor happens to read this, it was the young lady that is currently expecting a child. A true gem. My room was very clean and well maintained with current furnishings. The only negative is the shower rod is mounted too far back, not leaving a way to shower with out being in constant contact with the shower curtain. I needed change for the vending machines and the lady at the front desk was Vickie. Another very friendly, helpful person with a big smile. The cookies are a nice touch. This is a very good value, especially considering the great staff. My room also exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended.
