Best Western Hotel Teal Lake Inn, Mexico

Nice quiet clean hotel for a smaller town in Missouri Libby and rooms were nice. Large rooms. Good hot breakfast. Lots to eat nearby. Rooms are spacious and modern. A great place to stay when in the area. I will stay here again when in the area. Hotel staff was nice

made a reservation 4 months ago for thursday thru Sunday night., we checked in on Wednesday and out on Sunday morning. Refused to credit us for the day we did not stay. our group rented over 20 rooms. and some others stayed an extra day.

A very nice, well maintained, and quiet BW. The staff was friendly and helpful. A nice experience as usual. If you have reason to be in the Mexico, Mo. area and need lodging the Teal Lake Best Western is your best choice.

The cleanliness of the hotel and room were nice. The room itself was very big and accommodating for all my needs. Definitely recommend to anyone in the area who's needing a hotel! The location was in good proximity to fast food restaurants which made for grabbing something on the go real easy.

When I booked these rooms I had very low expectations. I have learned that small town hotels even with a big name normally leave much to be desired. I was pleasantly surprised! This hotel was a class act. Great rooms clean and comfortable. Great mattress. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They accommodated our small family reunion the night before a funeral that brought us into town. The only two negatives were no elevator, I can walk up stairs no big deal. And I was warm I had to turn the air conditioner on in our room to sleep even though it was 30 degrees outside but the air worked and we all slept comfortably. Highly recommend

We had stayed at this property before COVID. It is probably the best property in Mexico. Our 3 night visit was due to a funeral. Read the We Care Clean policies and booked the hotel. Many of the protocols are not followed - Social distancing measures will be implemented, wellness best practices signs will be prominently posted - this was not followed. Did not see wipes or sanitizing stations. Maintenance and house keeping did not wear gloves or masks (did not have room serviced during stay). The people behind desk did wear a mask. One person wore a face shield, but no mask underneath. Bed scarves were not removed from the room, and decorative pillow remained on a chair in the room. There was a hot breakfast buffet. The first two mornings, we were the only people at the buffet. The final morning the breakfast area was so congested. No one was paying attention to social distancing. Tables were so close together that one would have to stand sideways to get between tables . The hotel did provide gloves for you to use when getting your food. Very few guests had masks on when getting breakfast food. All three mornings we took our food back to our room and ate. If you are at all concerned about COVID protocols, this is not the place to stay. On the plus side, staff is friendly. Many choices at the breakfast buffet. Bed was comfortable. There is free open wi-fi. Pool and exercise room are closed - in fact the pool has been drained and being used as a storage area. Be aware there is not elevator at this hotel so if your room is on the second floor, one has to haul bags up steps.

I couldn't get online REWARD $ to work; called 800#. Larry, Ariz. got me set up; took my reservation too for 1room 111 HANDICAPPED ROOM with walk-in shower/low bed. I WAS ASSURED I HAD THIS ROOM TWICE! He didn't let MEXICO, MO know this! They didn't know I was coming until I walked in! ROOM was taken; reserved earlier by someone else!! Then she charged me more money & DIDN'T take off my $100 REWARD $ PROMPTLY. I got that straightened out fast on OVERCHARGED. So CALL MEXICO MOTEL PROMPTLY so they have you in THEIR SYSTEM! ARIZ. can't see which rooms are booked or NOT! I was disappointed no one let me know room I wanted was NOT available on my 6 nights there! Now I know why! Ariz. didn't let them know of my reservation. Mexico front desk DIDN'T do my reward points using $100 off my 6 night stay. Created another problem, but mgr. Casey got it STRAIGHTENED OUT giving me CREDIT vs. taking it off my total bill. VERY FRIENDLY STAFF; each very caring/helpful to all. DELICIOUS BREAKFAST; lots to chose from. Nice parking lot. My toilet was making flushing noises which I turned into front desk 3 times. Mgr. checked twice, but it wasn't acting up while she was there. It acted up after she left of course. It ran every 5 min. for 1 hr. when acting up. ADJOINING DOORS need insulation put between them. I heard every conversation in both handicapped rooms on 4 of my separate stays there. Very noisy from people WALKING ABOVE in both handicapped rooms I stayed in. Mgr. said she told her husband/owner; he put it on his TO DO LIST after their annual inspection coming SOON! We have NO PRIVACY where I heard everyone one of their phone/person-to-person conversations. I talked also to mgr. Casey, about remodeling 2 more rooms making them handicapped with walk-in shower or tub. WE CAN'T DO THAT DUE TO ADA/disability rules! So I will be contacting ADA about making changes in their rules!! This was a frustrating visit out of my 4 separate stays there at check-in. Rest of stay was ok!!

Always clean, dependable, friendly people and atmosphere. Good Prices ! Best place to stay in Mexico Missouri Worth the visit. Located in a good area for getting around the town. It was highly recommended and I see why.

We found our room very clean and the staff were friendly. The hotel had basic ammenties and nice sized rooms. They offered breakfast but we didn't take advantage of it so we can't say how it might be. We would stay again if passing through the area.

Anyone in the service industry should come and stay here, WOW what customer service. Janice called, made our reservation on the way up, I listened to the call, couldn't not have been any easier When we walked in the lobby, it was clean, great looking and we were greeted and taken care of in a couple of minutes we were on to our room. Room is great, could not be any better The front desk called to make sure everything was ok in the room. We don't come to Mexico very often, but when we come back it will be here

Friendly Staff, book online, quick and easy check-in. Clean, up to date rooms and breakfast bar. No elevator, I was given first floor room when requested. No discount for 7 day stay or for repeated stay.Our family is held near by every 2 years.

This facility is the best. Staff is always the same, so the employees evidently enjoy working there. We even had Christmas with the grandkids in the lobby with their tree! The staff went out of their way to make it special for the kids.

Booked 3 rooms for our son's wedding. Booked online at one rate and was charged a different rate at checkout. I did change the number of people in each room but was not informed of the rate change at check in. Had he told me of the rate change I would have cancelled the second night as there are other places to stay in town. I am a frequent traveler and member of all the major chains loyalty programs. Never have I had a rate change after the fact. After speaking to Ken the manager, he said he was not going to make it right and said " Tough. Stay somewhere else next time. " I brought him over 10 rooms worth of business and without our party, the hotel would have been virtually empty. I had another 3 members of our family try to book with him over the phone but they decided to stay elsewhere because of his rude service. Do yourself a favor, stay in your car rather than deal with this jerk! I guess Best Western didn't screen this guy. He should have the Best Western license removed.

Your ethics clearly indicates that you should not cheat with other businesses by booking room for one person and sneaking in 4 people in each room.

Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was completely stocked. My partner complained about hard biscuits and so so gravy. I was impressed by the variety even though I'm not a breakfast eater. I noticed they had gluten free, & sugar free and non dairy options.

Terrific smoke free property. Recent renovation of the facility was a great improvement to an already good property. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable. Free breakfast and kid friendly. Great value for the dollar. We stay here when in the area and will continue to stay as we can

Every time I visit family in Mexico I stay Teal Lake. It is by far the best in the area. Has a nice pool a decent breakfast and the staff are top notch people. The hotel is a little old but it has been updated and well cared for. There is a heated pool that the kids love. The man at front desk that checks you in is always there to help.

Stayed here while visiting family. Rooms are extremely clean and the personal is very friendly. My only complaint is the pillows are too big/firm and the breakfast selections could be better. Otherwise our stay was great!

Wonderful gem in Mexico, Missouri.. but definitely skip breakfast buffet.. undercooked sausage and crunchy eggs. Rooms are very modern, pool area is immaculate, parking is well lit with a parking lot cat that greats you.

Found this Best Western to be very clean and the property in great condition. Had no issues and the breakfast buffet was very good! Thought the cost of the room was a bit high for the location. Cost was about $35 higher than the Days Inn but this was a nicer property.

I stay at Teal Lake whenever I'm in Mexico, MO. The staff is helpful and friendly. A first floor room was offered to eliminate the need to use stairs. The room was clean and comfortable. The WIFI is fast. There's a good choice of hot and cold items for breakfast.

I love staying here, so so 2 to 3 times a year. Staff is always the same people, owner is frequently seen, facility is always immaculate. They even spoiled my 2 yr old grandson while he stayed with me during the day!

Fairly standard room for a Best Western, definitely looks like the nicest place to stay in Mexico. We stayed two nights and didn't have any problems. I had booked online and then called the local number. The lady who talked to me on the phone was obnoxious and condescending, although she claimed she was being "helpful", but other than that, no issues or complaints. The first night was quieter than the second but that's not managements fault. Beds were comfortable, breakfast offered a decent variety (although they could have used more tables/chairs for Sunday morning). The night employee was nice and polite, housekeeping was fine. I would stay here again.They have a pool but no elevator, just fyi.

I would have given the hotel a 5 because of the service, the employees and the accessibility to everything in Mexico, Kingdom City, Columbia and Fulton, Missouri but it's just so old it feels dingy. And thevwalls are paper thin so you hear the entire conversations of everyone around you. Also there's no elevator so if you're on the second floor you have to carry your suitcases up the stairs. The employees were kind, helpful and accommodating. The people on the desk even offered to help us carry things up the stairs to our room. Which I thought went far beyond what was expected. They also warmly greeted us every time we walked in the door. Would I stay here again? Yes. But next time I'll bring my noise cancelling headphones.

Typical old property with a face lifted front end to make the place look like a nice clean modern facility, but nasty room with a cheap paint job. Rm 205 stunk to high heaven of OLD cigarette smoke. It was marked "no smoking" but clearly in the cheap face lift they did on the place, they didnt bother to steam clean or replace the carpets or drapes. The drapes especially smelled. My wife mentioned this at the desk, when we returned that evening, the chemical smell was so bad it made my lungs hurt. It was bad enough that the new filter in the CPAP machine was ruined overnight- it turned brown. As an added touch, the light in the ceiling at the entry was hanging by the wires, that is a ****CODE VIOLATION AND FIRE HAZARD.**** I watched the smoke detector, didnt see any lights flashing on it- they usually have red LEDs for a 'working' indicator so I assume it didnt. Theres no elevators here so had to carry luggage etc up stairs. And cold food for breakfast! THe cold items were cold, the hot items were cold. I guess the candles under the warmers were too short...

I just checked my courtesy call log book and I have not found any single complaint about smoke odor. Our hotel is completely non smoking hotel. Feel free to call us and we can discuss the issue. Our contact number is on the express check out receipt if you stayed with us, if you do not have the receipt then it should be on your credit card statement. The Best Western Teal Lake Inn is undoubtedly the best hotel in Mexico, MO. Friendly staff, clean rooms, conveniently located, only a few minutes away from the Missouri Military Academy. Only downside is that there is no elevator so if that is important, ask for a room on the first floor.

Best hotel in Mexico MO! We have stayed at most of the hotels in Mexico. Given the option, we will always go to the Best Western hotel. The older gentleman that has run the check-in desk, the past several times that we have visited, is just awesome! The hotel is showing a little age, but pretty clean. The breakfast buffet is really not good, but the 54 Diner is close by, or Burger King and McDonald's.

The hotel is older but it is very clean and staff is excellent. There is not an elevator but it is only two stories. I recommend staying on top floor because it's quieter. The pool is nice and they do offer a breakfast. I stay here everytime I visit family in the area.

High price but top rate hotel. Staff friendly. Breakfast has a lot of options. Rooms are always clean. A lot of TV channels. Shower has great water pressure. They allowed late check out. I just need something more affordable. Especially when needing to stay multiple nights in a row.

Stayed for one night on business. The room was clean and well appointed. The lobby was very comfortable with a large screen television and plenty of seating. My traveling companion and I sat for a few hours just sitting and chatting . The breakfast was standard, but as we were eating toward the end of the breakfast serving times, the lady made us eggs to order. All the food was good and we appreciated the extra touches. Best place in town and a good recommendation for dinner.

This is the best hotel in Mexico, MO. I always get a good night's sleep here, and the breakfast is very good. Friendly staff who go out of their way to help. We always stay at this hotel when in Mexico. I have noted that it is always full when the Missouri Military Academy is having an event.

Everything was perfect from our checking in to checking out. I detected a very slight and pleasant aroma the minute we walked through the door. Bill, welcomed us with such professionalism and a very polite humor. About 10 minutes after getting into our room he called us to see if everything was satisfactory and if there was anything we needed to let him know. He had a list of places to eat supper and he had great opinions on many of the places. Breakfast was perfect. I can't say enough about how good everything was and how friendly the people were that was on duty. BW is the best in my book!

Amy made sure our stay was more than comfortable. After we checked in they called the room to make sure everything was as we expected. We slept well and the walls seemed thick enough to muffle our little guy cry that night. We came for a funeral and we were treated with such care. Amy even made eggs that complied with our lactose free needs. Even when my daughter made a spill at breakfast she cleaned it up with a smile. Above and beyond! Fantastic spread for breakfast too! So many options from fruit, bacon,eggs, yogurt, as well as the regular cereal and carbs. The place to go if you're in Mexico, MO!

Wonderful facility and great customer service. Breakfast bar options great ( Wonderful biscuits and gravy!) Check in service great. location makes it easy to go into town or drive a few miles to major hwy.

Good value, clean rooms, and the internet works. Can't ask for much more than that in Mexico, Missouri. Housekeeping staff were excellent and attended to nice details in the rooms. Was able to use a Chromecast with the TV, and the internet was fast enough to stream video to it. A/C worked well and was quiet enough. Overall sleep quality was pretty good, no loud noises or intrusions in the night. Check in and out was quick and painless. All staff at the hotel were capable and courteous. Breakfast quality was acceptable, the sausage gravy was actually pretty good. A couple more low calorie drink choices might be nice there. Would really, really appreciate the addition of an elevator to the second floor. Recommended. Would stay there again.

Nice, modern and clean facility. What makes this property shine is the quality of their staff. Friendly, courteous and full of energy, particularly the retired Army vet working the front desk that night when I checked in. A real tribute to what a hotel staff member should be!

We stayed at BW Teal Lake Inn while on a family-related trip. It's a well-managed property with very helpful staff. I was having difficulty booking online, but called Bill at the night desk and he did it all for me at the same price I had been quoted online. Our room was clean and comfortable; we had no complaints. We even used the large parking lot behind the hotel to practice Tai Chi. At breakfast the next morning, the lady who was serving was very friendly to everyone. She even took the initiative to bring us freshly-cooked eggs to our table, because she thought the eggs in the warmer were a bit overdone. We definitely will stay here again next time we're in Mexico, Mo.A

Staff was so helpful and always seemed to be genuinely concerned about my needs. Placed all of our rooms near one another. Was sympathetic towards our family loss. Rooms were sooooo clean and smelled fresh. Breakfast was hot and offered a good variety of options. Pool was clean and water waa clear. Even though we didn't use it. Compared to the other hotel we stayed at down the road on a previous visit to Mexico, MO.

in town for business, only disappointment was lack of hot tub. Would have felt good after long drive. Was told that new owners had filled in but it was still listed as amenity. We had previously stayed at another hotel in Mexico that was terrible. Will be coming back next year for reunion and plan on staying here at that time. Overall was a good experience.

We stayed in the suite with a pull-out couch. After make getting the couch ready for my daughter to sleep in, we noticed a bad smell. The mattress on the pull out couch also had a stain. At first we thought it was our clothes & shoes from spending the day at the lake. We soon realized it was the room itself. The couch and corner where it sits had a bad odor. We noticed a fan in the hall near our room & thought maybe they were trying to dry some wet carpet. We used air freshener & didn't think anything else about it. It never occurred to us to notify the desk because it was late & we were tired from a long day. After check-out we received a call that we would be charged a $50 incident fee because they said we had urinated on the couch mattress. We explained the smell was present when we checked in. They said, "that room hasn't been used in two weeks". Okay? Then someone closed up the couch with a smell or house keeping didn't notice two weeks ago, because we didn't make the mess & would have told someone if we had. We thought it was taken care of, but credit card was charged the $50 fee anyway. Was told that they could not remove the fee, but could offer 10% off our next stay. This is unacceptable. The fee can & should be removed.

We have stayed at this hotel the last 3 years on our way to the Ozarks. Very clean and extremely friendly staff. The continental breakfast is very good and continually replenished. The “breakfast lady” is very accommodating and goes out of her way to make sure her guests are happy.

Have never stayed at a cleaner, more friendly Inn. We were met at the entrance with a smile and a warm welcome. The price was very low compared to the service we received! Loved it, only sorry we had only one night to experience it. We booked a king suite with jacuzzi, it was amazeing. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed our time here. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Hotel was clean and all amenities were available. My kids enjoyed the pool area. Breakfast had great options for everyone but was a little crowded if you didnt get there at the right time. Food items were replenished quickly so you were never having to wait. Seating is limited, however.

Everyone we encountered in the town was friendly and helpful. We had a pleasant surprise when we discovered Mark Twain Park (also his birthplace) and enjoyed the museum and grounds near our lodging. For such a small town we never found ourselves wanting for anything.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel in April. The property is well-maintained, and very clean. The staff was amazing. The friendliest most accommodating people I had delt with in a long time. The hotel's amenities include WiFi, cable TV (must be satellite; reception was spotty), fitness room and indoor heated pool. There is a full breakfast each morning. There are only a few choices for lodging in Mexico and I would not stay anywhere but here.

Extremely clean and modern, great facilities, nice complimentary breakfast. Unexpectedly modern and up to date in a small town. The whole facility is extremely clean and modern, the staff friendly, the rooms spacious. We are from Mexico and have stayed elsewhere but this far surpasses anything else in town and during our family visits we will stay there in the future.

Very nice motel. Clean and had a nice smell in rooms and throughout building. Staff very friendly and let you know they were their if you needed anything. Pool water was nice and warm but pool room was cold, which staff acknowledged and suggested keeping towel close when you got out. NO hot tub or sauna room.

I usually dont stay at hotels , but this was recommended to me by Zenith Aircraft nearby. good choice , staff was great . pool was great and heated . no complaints other than I prefer scrambled eggs , not patties.

Everything was VERY clean. Check in & out was good. Room had everything we needed. Good wi-fi. Breakfast buffet was pretty standard, hot things were hot & cold things were cold. Not true at every motel. Pool & fitness room were okay, wish they still had a hot tub! Good value for the money.

We do a lot of traveling for sporting events. I can honestly say, this was the easiest hotel to reserve with. Amy took SUCH good care of me and helped us add an extra kiddo to our room without any problems so that everyone has a comfy place to sleep! If our stay is anything like the customer service we have received just making the reservation, it's going to be awesome.

This hotel smelled wonderful and my room was very clean so 5 stars there. Housekeeping was nice but managements and afternoon guy not so much. Maybe they were having a bad day I really don't know. Breakfast is average to slightly below average. Small breakfast area. My bed was not comfortable and I travel alot with my job. I found it odd to not have a fan in the bathroom and powerstrip extensions were used in the room for all the lamps and appliances, that seemed like a bad idea. I could hear someone's radio (the bass) at night for much longer than I cared for. For me the worst part of my stay was seriously the bed and I felt as if I had stuff crawling on me all night. By far housekeeping was the best part of this place. I'll be trying another hotel if I'm back in Mexico as this place was average at best on everything else. It just gave me a strange vibe ontop of the rude management. I really don't see how others rave about it, my first thought was it was family or friends helping them out but it's possible I just came on a bad day I guess??? Either way first impressions are important to me and I'm not impressed.

This hotel is a great option for business travel. Super simple accommodations that cover the basics very well. Pillows a bit firm, and in room heating unit a bit noisy, but it was winter during our stay.

I recently spent 10 weeks at this hotel on a business trip. Patty, Bill, and the rest of the staff were amazing! Always very professional and friendly. It's always hard to be away from home for so long, but the staff helped to make it feel like my second "home". Breakfast was always great and rooms were clean. Would highly recommend to others.

The check-in process was smooth with no problems and our room was nice and clean. All the staff seemed friendly and attentive to us. We would stay here again if we had to stay in Mexico, MO. We stayed in a King Suite so our room had a little extra sitting area with a table and a little love seat. There was also a refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was clean and there was an adequate number of towels for us. The king bed was pretty hard and it was fine for me but my wife found it to not be very comfortable. The fold-out bed from the love seat was not comfortable (similar to most fold-out beds). The room was warm and we had to keep the AC running even though it was cool outside. The breakfast was very good. There was a fairly large selection of hot and cold options. There was a waffle maker, sausage links, potatoes, biscuits, gravy, bread and bagels (and a toaster), and eggs. The eggs were weird disks but they were perfect for putting on a biscuit with sausage to make a breakfast biscuit. The biscuits are served at room temperature but 20 seconds in the microwave and they were perfect. I believe there were also some pastries, fruit, and cold cereal available. Drinks included apple juice, orange juice, milk, water, and coffee. I was pleasantly surprised with the breakfast. Overall, if you have to stay in Mexico, MO, then this is probably your only good choice and you shouldn't be disappointed.

The staff here went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. From check-in time until we left, we experienced nothing but positive attitudes from everyone. The rooms were immaculate and extremely comfortable. This was probably the best experience that I've ever had at any hotel.

Any time I am paying under $80 a night for a room I wonder just how much I should expect from a Hotel, but this Hotel was truly great experience. The night we arrived, it was late but we still found parking close to the front desk. The Hotel staff greeted us and were efficient at check-in. We got to our room and it was clean, well stocked, and well taken care of. I saw no differed maintenance of any kind. Everything worked right, the internet and TV service was good, and the remote was sanitized and placed in a fresh cover every day, something I have never seen before, but a great touch. There were plenty of fresh towels, all fluffy and not a single item of furniture or linens seemed to show any stain, wear or tear. You could tell there was a pride of service from the owner, management and staff at every level. My son plugged the toilet up using too much paper, he was able to get a plunger from the front desk, with clean plastic bags to handle it after its use. The vending machine was jammed with a bad dollar bill, I brought it to the attention of the front desk clerk and they fixed it immediately and gave us a refund for the dollar lost. There was individual Heat Pump/AC in each room. It worked well and we had no issue with the room comfort. The beds were good quality, soft but not too soft, and there were four pillows per bed. The pillows were too thick for me, and they all were the same size, this was the only issue I had, but it was not bad enough for me to complain about. I did not try to ask for thinner pillows. The breakfast in the morning had a variety of hot and cold items, it was not like the buffet of high-end hotels, but for a free-breakfast at the price we paid, it was quite nice. They had several types of bread, a waffle maker, toaster, and hot eggs, sausage and breakfast potatoes. I made breakfast muffin one day, and a breakfast biscuit another. The waffles are common, the hot protein was a nice touch. The potatoes were not to my taste, but the sausage and egg were fine. It would have been nice to have some cheese. They also had muffins, danishes, yogurt, juice, coffee and cold cereal. There was a microwave as well. Each day the room was cleaned and it was perfectly made up. I forgot my toothbrush at home, they provided a free brush and paste at the desk for me. The morning of checkout the folio was placed under the door, and everything was correct. The one complaint I have was there was no elevator to the second floor. There are only too floors, if you can't carry your bags upstairs, I suggest you ask for a first floor room. This was not a problem for my 16 year old son and I, but might be for families, or elderly.

We were pleased with our room - it was very roomy and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is typical. It is a good choice for anyone travelling this route. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it.

The staff is very friendly and this location is tops in cleanliness. We were able to meet the Manager Ken multiple times and he always had a friendly manner and wanted to make sure everything was "top notch ". The pool was being redone but was opened before we left. The pool area was very nice and they are still renovating the hot tub which was no problem for us. We even arranged to stay an extra day it was so nice. Breakfast was good and coffee and tea is always available. Bill, Amy and the housekeeping staff always had a cheerful hello to everyone. Will definitely stay here again next time we are in Mexico.

We made last-minute reservations and our room was ready for us when we arrived an hour later. The property looks new. Restaurants are a short drive away. Beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet.

We were in town for a funeral. The queen executive rooms I had reserved are located only on the second floor. There is no elevator. My elderly mother is unable to climb stairs. The manager, Ken took care of it right away. It meant getting a third room but he was able to keep us all together and helped us out with the pricing. Breakfast was just ok. Coffee was good. Was a good stay overall.

They have great customer service. The rooms were very clean, and it was the best place in Mexico MO to stay. I give this hotel a 5, not because it's a top-end hotel, but because, for the price, it's a great bargain. It's clean, and amenities are updated. The beds were clean and comfortable. The pool was nice. It was just what we needed to lay our weary selves down after 6 hours on the road. We'll stay again next time we're in the area.

As we were traveling on the motorcycle, we decided to stop by the hotel early to see if we could check in and drop off our stuff before riding to Mark Twain State Park. Front desk was really friendly and accommodating. After our riding, we went back to the hotel for some relaxing time in the hot tub. As they were doing some renovations at the time of our stay, the hot tub was off limits. So we took a dip in the pool. Pool was a great temperature and very clean. That evening after dinner, we looked for a place to sit outside and enjoy an adult beverage. We did find a patio outside of the pool area but no furniture. There were steps leading into the building so we just sat there and enjoyed the evening. After a great night sleep, ( Did I say QUIET!!! My wife and I loved it.) we enjoyed the hot biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western for 3 nights for a family reunion and I must say that the service was EXCEPTIONAL!! The continental breakfast and the inside heated pool was a plus as well. I would give this hotel a 5 star rating. We were very happy with our stay at the Mexico, Mo Best Western. The employees were very friendly, courteous and professional. The rooms were clean and a fair rate. The only complaint we had was that the indoor pool was freezing and too cold for our 4 year old granddaughter to swim in. we will definitely stay again.

We have family in town which brings us to Mexico on a fairly regular basis. We have stayed at almost every lodging. We had stopped staying at the BW but returned after hearing of different management. There have been some improvements. The lobby appearance is better. The staff behaves in a more professional manner. The room was clean and the bed firm. The room we had was a former smoking room. It was obvious that management chose to slap on a coat of paint instead of priming or cleaning the walls first. The old smoke smell was present. The carpeting is very dark brown and hard to determine cleanliness. There was no fan in the bathroom. The breakfast is fairly basic and not as good as some BW. The breakfast person is a bit odd and also covers the front desk. Check out was a wave goodbye. It appears that staff have to do it all. Upon check-in, I had to wait for the front desk person to finish a reservation over the phone. Management certainly gets a lot out of each person that works there. One is a captive audience in Mexico. The room is priced too high for what one gets, but there are really no other options in town.

Was in town for High School graduation. My son, daughter in law and baby were in one room and I was in another room with my sister. The rooms were very spacious. We were all very pleased with our stay.

From a telephone call to extend our stay, to check-in, to any accommodation we needed, the staff was always willing and able to courteously get the job done. The breakfast was just fine and a good variety of hot and cold foods. The room was very clean and comfortable. Last time we were in Mexico, we tried another hotel that was not a good experience. Thankfully, this stay was perfect! Keep up the good work! And the price is reasonable.

The new owner has made many improvements to the interior of the Hotel. The staff is friendly and their breakfast bar is the best (well stocked and clean) we experienced on our cross country trip. The maid service is excellent! We visit twice a year and this is the only "local" place we choose to stay.

My hotel stay was great. I have been staying at the same hotel for 15 years. My biggest problem is that if you get to a hotel late and then do not get checked out by 11:00 am you have to pay for two days. There is surely some way to figure out a way to make that situation more fair.

This hotel is clean and has a nice pool and free breakfast. Breakfast is nothing special but good for some free food! The TVs are huge for a hotel room and have plenty of channels with all stl sports! I stay here every year for work and always has been a great place to stay! Staff is friendly and they will go above and beyond for their guests! I will never stay anywhere other than here when visiting Mexico Mo.

Pool was freezing and no hot tub...disappointing when traveling with children looking forward to swimming. The heated inside swimming pool and hot tub advertised was one of the reasons we chose it. Breakfast was great and very nicely decorated.

We tried our best to fix our pool heater on saturday evening but we were unsuccessful, but we raised the water temperature higher to satisfy the needs. The staff at Teal Lake is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean and comfortable with a good pool and workout room. The breakfast was good and the staff works hard at keeping everything stocked and the area clean.

Friendly people, beautiful place, good amenities, good deal. Will stay at this hotel most every time I visit this town. Have redone all rooms and public areas. Looks very good. Good selection for breakfast, and very nice area to have it in. Coffee and tea served all day.

Clean room, free breakfast, free parking. They are removing hot tub, every time I have stayed here it is being worked on, they finally decided it was time to fill in the hole. Breakfast is standard fare.

Overall the best option in Mexico MO. I have stayed at this BW several times. This most recent stay presented moldy packaged breakfast items, and sour / expired yogurt...eggs left in warmer too long as well as gravy. Perhaps a fluke stay? I would stay again but will not be taking advantage of the "free" breakfast.

There are few choices in this community and from what others in our group said about their hotel this is probably the best one in town. It could use some upgrades and improvements but the staff was very nice. The breakfast area is small but the lady was working very hard to keep everything well stocked.

A nice hotel, but a bit loud regarding surrounding rooms. Very very slow internet. Breakfast is basic continental plus biscuits and homemade gravy (yum!) plus decent coffee. Easy access to Mexico and the surrounding area.

I have stayed at BW Teal Lake Inn several times over the last 18 months for business. My job requrires me to stay in a lot of hotels in smaller towns, and the experiences vary. This hotel never fails to meet my needs. It is quiet, clean, comfortable. It has a nice pool, and I recently had to use the meeting room for a meeting with 10 people and could not believe how nice it was for a very reasonable price. But the thing that makes this hotel the best in the area is its staff. Chad has been there almost every time I have visited ,and he goes out of his way to make you feel right at home. He literally helped with the meeting I was having, making sure that the attendees were comfortable. I will not stay anywhere else if I need to do business in the area.

I just got home from a night with my boyfriend at that hotel! We LOVED the stay! Scott is very friendly and does EXCELLENT at his job he definitely keeps that hotel going! Our breakfast was so good and hot! Scott was also very friendly and made me feel right at home!! I will definitely be back!

A gem in an out of the way destination. The friendly personable staff make this hotel truly feel like a home away from home. Amy hosts her breakfast guests as if they were her own family. Obvious upgrades were recently made.

My first experience at this hotel was awesome! The staff was gracious and helpful. Really helped me out. Thought I had a reservation for that weekend but for a different wknd. Had an opening and got me in. Room was amazing! Comfortable and relaxing. Definitely coming back!

Good location. The only motel on trip advisor with a good rating in Mexico. Must be a terrible town for motels. Overpriced even though the rooms are nice. Just to stay overnight...too expensive. Breakfast was ok but unattended. Gravy was boiling in the crock pot. I shut it off.

Hotel manager and staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Amy who worked the breakfast bar area was upbeat, mindful and looked out regularly for customer needs. We stayed a week and the experience was delightful...nothing negative to report. The stay is worth driving a few miles off I-70 for those passing through the area.

I have stayed at the Teal Lake Inn for over 10 years. While it changed ownership a few years ago and I was skeptic, I was surprised how it has not only stayed fresh but upgrades have been noticed too. The hot breakfast rivals that of big chains. A quiet place to stay.

There's not a lot to choose from in Mexico, MO but the Teal Lake Inn is by far your best choice. The gentleman who owns the hotel has done his best to continually upgrade the quality unlike most hotels which move in the opposite direction. The rooms are nicely furnished, the breakfast is equivalent to what one expects in a more upscale hotel such as a Hampton Inn. The rooms are always squeaky clean and they do not allow smokers or pets, unlike some of the other Mexico hotels. The employees are excellent, especially Kriston Moon who is sort of a jack of all trades. She is on top of everything and is problem-solvoing-oriented, if you know what I mean.. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone passing through this somewhat remote spot.

Seemed like this was the newest and nicest place in town. Website picture showed handicap shower, but this is only available in a couple of rooms. No elevator to second floor. No smoking motel, everyone including the staff hung out around the exterior doors to smoke. This place satisfied our needs.

We stayed here for just one night, but the staff was so very helpful and friendly. Our actual destination was Centralia MO, but they have no hotels/motels. Our drive back to Mexico, MO, was irritating, but the staff's helpfulness and friendliness more than made up for our aggrivation.

When in Mexico, Missouri, this is the best choice. I have stayed at the others but this has earned my return business. Family friendly, recently completed a total rehab. The rooms have all been turned over. Fresh look, fresh paint, linens and bedding. Great value for the dollar. Pool, breakfast, internet, professional staff., non smoking. This property will earn your business.

It is by real world standards a 2 star hotel. The only people down at the Breakfast where the maids, staff, and I believe there kids. I travel a lot and this reminds me of a room that has not been updated in 20 years (Minus the flat screen..that was probably updated 10 years ago) But, honestly.... i don't think any of the other 3 Hotel/Motels are better in town.

We have stayed here twice now when visiting family. They are in a great location. Every time we have stayed here, it is always clean and the parking lot is well lit. There is an indoor pool but we have never used it. The breakfast they offer is pretty good. I have stayed in multiple places and always try to leave a tip for housekeeping and in all my times of doing so I have never had anyone leave me a note Thanking me until now. I really wish I had the note with me so I could include his name. But with that little effort it will always be remembered.

This hotel needs a bit of updating in the public areas. One can see places where the paint needs to be retouched, the carpets need some attention. The rooms were just fine, however, and I was able to get a good night's sleep. It was quiet and comfortable.

Lovely on the outside, very clean on the inside. A little worn in spots such as wallpaper but well worth the money. Linens clean, no odors. Breakfast was a delight. A little trouble finding ice machine but staff helpful.

It was another great visit at Teal lake Best Western in Mexico Missouri. The rooms for my wife and I, also the room for my son and family, were clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and ensured our stay was enjoyable. The location is close to all amenities. The full breakfast was hot and tasty, with fresh fruit, juice, eggs and sausage and hot coffee. The indoor pool was inviting with the hot weather. Ours was another enjoyable 4 day stay.

We arrived late to our hotel and I had some gift cards. The desk clerk was unsure on how to credit our account. We were tired and I told him to not worry about it so we could go to bed. Breakfast is only served till 9am and checkout at 11am. We woke up at 845 and were unable to eat breakfast and needed a late checkout. Didn't feel like we mattered. Our last visit was much more inviting.

Want to get away from freeway noise? It's worth driving the extra 16 miles to get here. Besides the rooms are nice and they include breakfast. There are plenty of restaurant choices nearby. We do recommend Andrea C, a little pricier but excellent food.

I choose this hotel in Mexico MO because it was the best option available (several others of mediocre quality). The room was clean and had a good sized desk for laptop computer work. The bed was ok but pretty soft (I prefer firm). The place looked to have been renovated in the last few years but still had some outdated decor. I tried the breakfast (included with the stay) and there was a good selection. The sausage and eggs were awful....even by out of a can standards. I threw the food away and left with a banana and coffee; thus skipping breakfast. The parking lot is pretty tight and if pulling a trailer there isn't a good place to turn around so you might be backing all the way down the drive and out onto a busy highway.

Best Western Teal Lake Inn is the only hotel I will stay at on my visits to Mexico. It is quiet, clean, and close to dining. The TV channel selection is excellent, the beds are comfy, and the breakfast is quite good.

This is a quaint town and the service as well as the facility are maintained at the highest of standards. I would recommend staying at this location to anyone traveling through the area. Our stay was an overnight stay and the motel met that expectation. The room had an smell to it due to a wet carpet area in front of the heater-A/C unit below the window. We contacted a motel employee about the wet carpet and she thanked us for letting her know about the wet carpet issue. Note: if, as a motel guest, we don't tell anyone about an issue with a room--how can they deal with the issue for the next guest?

If you are travelling with a group of dudes on a hunting trip where you won't shower for days and are using your bathtub as a beer cooler, this place is for you. If you are travelling with family or on business, keep driving. The hotel is called the "Teal Lake Inn" I think that is because the rooms smell like stagnant lake water.

Pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast was adequate with many choices - from cold cereal and pastries to waffles, sausage, hash browns and eggs. The room was decent but could use a facelift. A huge visible stain on carpet as well as a dust ruffle that was on crooked and in need of repair. Nice to have refrigerator and microwave in the room.

We have stayed in this hotel for the last four years for a 3 day business trip we take every year. This place is well priced, great service and the complementary breakfast is very good - many choices for either a light breakfast or one with eggs, sausage, potatoes, etc. Coffee is pretty decent also!

The only thing that was good at this place was walking out. Went to the pool to have no towels in the pool area, got a double queen room and got two towels in the room. Didn't want to ask the front desk because English is so bad that you didn't know what they were asking. Had to call the front desk and ask how to call out and picked up phone to call and order food and phone wouldn't call out breakfast offered it a bowl of cereal,coffee was cold and nasty. And when someone opens there door and closes there door you door rattles as of someone is coming though your door.

I stayed in this little hotel for one night prior to a breakfast meeting in Mexico, MO. It was nicer than I anticipated. My room on the first floor -- I think there may only be two floors -- was very clean and comfortable. I think it had been remodeled recently. It included a small fridge and a microwave. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. I didn't eat the provided breakfast at the hotel, but it looked pretty good. I didn't sleep very well, but I wasn't uncomfortable. There was a pretty big space between the bottom of the door to the room and the floor. That allowed a lot of light from the hallway to seep into the room. The air conditioner was also pretty loud. It switched on and off in attempting to keep the temperature steady and the inconsistent white noise made it difficult for me to fall deeply into sleep. This hotel is on the edge of town. So there wasn't much in the immediate vicinity. A mile or so down the road the rest of town appears. It was pretty cute and charming. For the price, this Best Western was just about perfect.
