My husband and I spent one night at the hotel. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. We walked into a large, well appointed lobby. The desk clerk was pleasant and very helpful. The hotel is older, but wonderfully maintained. Our room had everything we needed; a nice, comfortable bed, microwave, coffee maker etc. The only thing missing was a shower cap. If I stay here again, I will request an inside room. We stayed on the side of a busy highway. You could hear traffic beginning around 4AM,
This is the worst Best Western plus that I've ever stayed; The mattresses were horrible, The bathroom shower had light pressure, It felt grungy and dirty, probably due to the fact that it's Probably never been updated; Closet was an indention in the wall with a curtain to cover it. This was our hotel for a wedding weekend where we had 20 rooms blocked off and other than the good lighting in the bathroom the rest was a zero.
Very nice place it felt so comfortable and welcoming when I entered the lobby. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great. Front desk staff were courteous and helpful. Overall we were very happy with our stay.
Real eggs for breakfast-not often you find that anymore. Desk staff was very helpful when recommending places to eat. However, room was pretty basic with no USC or USB ports and tub had a drip. But room was clean. The pool area was very nice with plenty of tables. Workout room machines needed attending.
Stayed at this location after hurricane Beryl while our power was out. Nice hotel and great location. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the hotel pool. We also enjoyed the area and its proximity to other attractions. I recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
The front desk staff was super friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. Over all the staff was friendly and very helpful. Enjoyed my stay and definitely would stay here again.
Pretty typical hotel and stay. We were happy they actually offered breakfast but outside the waffles it wasn't anything special. Staff was SUPER FRIENDLY but a couple issues around the hotel, with the room, and the check in all seemed to be unknown to the staff but they were appreciative of the immediate feedback. Rooms had different mattresses for same size beds, ours was very soft and felt like an innerspring and you felt EVERY move the other person made
This is the 2nd time I have stayed at this hotel. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. It was easy access to everything in LaGrange. Breakfast was hot and well prepared. If you are looking for a quick getaway or are traveling through LaGrange and looking for a clean place to stay this is it.
Excellent local option for a visit to La Grange, Warrenton and Round Top. It is conveniently located on the main highway 71, that loops around the town. We also enjoyed the old Brewery hiking tour on the ridge above town. Great facility to spend the night.
Poor quality for the money spent. Rooms were horrible and certainly could be upgraded. Bathrooms were worse. For the cost the 2 rooms almost $400 wasn't worth it. Got stuck in the elevator on occasions and additionally very slow.
Seems to be a very new property, recently built and offers your typical best western experience with hot breakfast, cleaning facilities, a good shower and bad so you can have a deserved night of sleep. Offers a fitness center with some weight equipment, and an outdoor pool to chill on hot days. I'll stop here on my next ride across America if using the Southern Tier.
Great place to stay on our antiquing trip. The location was easy to to find and get in and out to the highway. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices. There is a place to sit by the pool for coffee. We enjoyed our multi night stay.
Moldy mildew smell room, wrong type of room given, can of damp rid on valance. Refrigerator not working properly, poor lighting, tv remote worked poorly. Desk clerks slow to respond at desk. Room phone not in workable order. Unplugged due to broken wires. Horrible bathroom. Location was great for trip but will not use again
Clean motel. New. Pleasant stay. Enjoyed tremendously the quilt museum in downtown La Grange. I'm not a quilter, but the artistry with bits of fabric and thread is gorgeous. Well worth a visit if you like beautiful art.
We have stayed here several times with an average experience, but this time was terrible. We were given a first floor room near the breakfast area and were kept awake half the night from excessive noise (as if things were being banged against our wall for hours). Our complaint was dismissed with a response of ‘oh sorry, that's because of breakfast,' and a measly 5% discount on the bill. Unsuitable sleeping conditions for half a night and five percent off…unacceptable. I'll take my business elsewhere since no responsibility was taken for such poor performance.
The stay was great. The receptionists was great and got us checked in, in under 10 mins. The breakfast had fresh fruits, hot food, good drinks and coffee. There was very accommodating to us from the arrival to our departure. Would recommend and visit again soon.
The Customer Service Rep at the front desk was fantastic. She was very friendly, helpful and patient. She did not rush us. Our room was nice as expected and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast int he morning was good and hit the spot.
We decided to take a 2 day road trip with no specific location in mind other than to explore some Texas towns. We visited Shiner, Hallettsville, Schulenburg, Cat Spring, La Grange, Victoria and Port Lavaca. We decided to spend the night at the Best Western in La Grange. The hotel was not new but was clean and the staff was great. We especially want to commend Terry who provides the breakfast buffet in the morning. She went out of her way to make us fresh scrambled eggs and bring them to our table. She did not have to do this but wanted to make sure we had a hot breakfast. We were impressed. We would also like to give kudos to the front desk and room service staff. Nice folks and a great representation of down home Texas Charm.
Our visit was enjoyable. Room was very clean and quiet. We stayed on the 4th floor on the back side of the building looking out into a open field. In the morning we looked out to see a deer grazing. Staff is friendly and welcoming to our two little dogs. We will stay again when in town.
The room was very clean and fresh. Large room with a sofa and armchair with ottoman. Great location if you are going to Round Top to go antiquing. Nice lobby and large breakfast area. Hot breakfast included.
My fiance and I are visiting from Austin, TX. Best location ever you are close to the town for food and walking, plus festival hill is so close. Definitely coming back and staying here again!! Recommend
Came for Roundtop and throughly enjoyed out stay. Not only is it very convenient but the desk staff were friendly, the hotel entrance and lobby very nice and most important, the room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Also very nicely decorated and appointed. Will definitely come back.
Unless you have business in La Grange, don't stay here. The bed and pillows are horrible. The bed shook like jello and the pillows were stuffed with pieces of foam. We were on the 3rd floor and could hear people outside below talking on the phone. When we walked on the floor, the floor made noise that the people below us could hear because we could hear every time the people above walked across the floor. We were here for a funeral and didn't have much choice. The worst night ever and we have traveled the world.
The LaGrange, Texas, Best Western is clean, modern, and has very friendly staff! It has all of the amenities you would expect from a much more expensive hotel. The price is very reasonable. I have been coming here for years, and I am happy every time!
I left clothing items in my room that I recently purchased. I was so upset, but Lisa Allen, General Manager, made sure to follow up with me and she found my items and was able to return them to me! She is a godsend. I highly recommend this location for any la grange or round top trips.
I stayed in this hotel because of the online reviews that I saw. This place absolutely exceeded my expectations. The night auditor was incredibly helpful and friendly. The only issue I encountered was a slight issue getting the shower knob to pull up. Even with that issue I would stay here again without hesitation.
Check in was great. Vicki Votaw went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed including a roll away bed. Out of all the hotels we stayed at on our vacation in Texas this was the only one that had a roll away bed. We enjoyed our stay very much just wished breakfast lasted until 10. We missed breakfast both days we were there.
The staff were very friendly and helpful when we checked in. In this time of Covid, we really wanted to make sure the room was clean and were well satisfied that this was true. They served a full breakfast buffet that was about average for a free breakfast. We would stay here again if we come back this way.
We stay at this hotel every time we are in Lagrange . We like to stay in the same room and they do everything they can to accommodate us. They are VERY fur baby friendly ! Usually the breakfast is very good and fresh
Stayed two nights for a wedding in La Grange. Front desk and cleaning personnel exceeded our expectations. Very clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed. Great internet. We are new fans of Best Western Plus hotels
Shower stall floor liner cracked and broken; paint peeling off walls, “egg crate” foam pad used to try and compensate for mattress that should be in dumpster. I have to submit a 200 word minimum....nothing else to say except DO NOT STAY HERE.
Have always stayed here when traveling for business. Staff is so professional and kind. The beds are so comfortable! We are professional bucking bull contractors and are always exhausted when finished. So nice coming to our room and ready to sleep. Best sleep ever! Will always stay here when doing business in LaGrange!
We stayed here for a weekend. The staff here was horrible and were more concerned about getting their smoke break in. Anytime you walked to the front desk for whatever reason, no one was behind the front counter. They were all hanging around outside by the pool. The place was decent enough. There were a couple of piles of towels and TRASH in the hallway that was there for the entire weekend! Housekeeping was well aware of this. They were eating the food that was cooked for the guests. Plus, housekeeping even knocked on our door asking us how much longer we were going to be there!!! What does it matter to you? We have the room until our checkout time, and there was even a do not disturb sign on the door. Do yourself a favor and seek accommodations elsewhere.
One of those last minute needs for a hotel for a night of rest. Was pleasantly surprised at this location. This location was right off the highway in the direction I was heading. The price seemed to differ upon arrival as we were told over the phone, meaning it was a little higher than quoted.
My husband and I stayed here for a weekend to attend a wedding in La Grange and I was so impressed with how kind and helpful the staff were. So professional and personable. The hotel itself was clean and quiet. Highly recommend!
My daughter and my sister and I stayed here the night before we visited Warrenton for Antiques Week. Quiet, comfortable room with everything we needed. Great bed, pillows, and linens! We were able to have a filling breakfast before heading off for a day of shopping. Only draw back was not having a restaurant close by for dinner. Will definitely Stay here again.
The Friendly employees in this hotel make the whole stay a pleasure. Helpful and alert. Everything was clean and accessible. Close enough to town but far enough away to be quiet. The front desk agents actually answer the phone instead of transferring you to a robot.
Hotel was very clean and quiet. Staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast selection was limited due to COVID but you can still make Texas shaped waffles! Outdoor pool is smaller but in good condition. We will stay here again.
Some staff members were nice and friendly. The hotel was very expensive and didn't offer very many amenities. The AC in the lobby, hallway, and elevator didn't work which made the common areas very unpleasant.
This was a good stay. The property isn't new, but it is decently maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. One thing you should know that doesn't involve this property is that the food choices in LaGrange are limited to say the least. The ramen noodles that I cooked in the microwave in my room were the best food I had while there.
We stayed here one night to attend a family wedding. Everything was nice in this newer location. Breakfast included several great hot options, as well as healthier options like yogurt and fruit. The fitness center had good basic equipment. The beds were comfortable. The shower was okay. The price was perhaps a little high for a small town.
Love the area around LaGrange and Roundtop but dont stay at this Hotel. I have stayed at many many hotels and for the price, we were very diappointed., the front desk staff spend most of their time smoking by the pool. And the fact that they allow the loud noise and running in the hallway at Midnight is unacceptable.
We stay are this same property several times a year. The staff is great and go out of their way to answer any questions you may have. One staff member is particular is top-notch, Lisa. She goes above and beyond to help with any issues that come up. The only complaint I have is one if the two ice machines has not worked for about a year.
I thoroughly enjoyed my short stay at Best Western in La Grange. The room was very clean with ample amenities. There were plenty of variety and, overall, I thought it was very good value for your buck!
This hotel was very clean, staff was wonderful and breakfast filling. Would stay there again !! I had a small issue with the vendor machine and the night clerk coming to work offered to help without me even asking.
This was my first time to stay in a Best Western hotel and I was pleasantly surprised. The beds were comfortable, the room clean, and the staff was very friendly and helpful ! Will stay there again if I return to the area!
Booked a King room, and upon arrival at 10 pm after a 4 hour drive, we found that our room (217) REEKED of cigarette smoke. Literally backed us up when we opened the door. Not the kind of faint aroma from an occasional cigarette, but the “invades every pore, makes your eyes water, and attaches itself to your clothes” stench you get when you walk into a chain-smokers home. Smoky film on the mirrors, TV, window....saturated bed linens, pillows, carpet, drapes...and all of our belongings, too. Hotel was sold out, so we were stuck. Tried the “prop the door and open the window trick”. Didn't make a dent in the fog. Since we failed to pack our own gas-masks and HVAC portable filtration device, sleeping in this disgusting pall was impossible. Left the room for the cleaner air in the lobby around 4:00 am, and spent the next 24 hours wheezing and coughing. Front desk's excuse was “a guest had smoked occasionally from visit to visit, room had been deep cleaned, blah blah blah”. Liars. More like some employee's homeless relative had been allowed to live in the room for an extended time with a 3 pack-a-day habit, and had left the hotel 10 minutes before we arrived. This is a non-smoking property...NOT!!!
The La Grange Best Western is a clean and comfortable hotel located directly on the Highway, yet only a few minutes from downtown la Grange and a variety of restaurants. Parking lot is well illuminated and it's easy access whether you are coming or going
In years past, we haven't always had the best experiences at Best Western hotels. Last year we stayed at one in Arizona and it was awesome so we decided to try the Best Western in La Grange since we were in the area. It looks almost brand new from the outside and the lobby area and breakfast area are all well maintained and clean. The staff wasn't the most professional but they were nice and friendly and the check-in went very smooth. Our room was nice and roomy and very clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable we've slept on while traveling. Housekeeping was so helpful when we needed more coffee and extra towels. And they are pet friendly! We had our little dachshund with us and they welcomed her! The only reason I didn't give this location an excellent is because from time to time there were loud noises in the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom area. It sounded like water running through pipes or something. It didn't happen after we went to bed, so we slept well. And the other minor issue we had was the hot water seemed to disappear during my shower the second night we were there. I hurried and got out of the shower! We would stay at this Best Western in La Grange again if in the area. Overall, it was a very comfortable and inviting stay.
To say that we stay at hotels often would be an understatement! Since January, we've stayed in Las Vegas, Pomona CA, Odessa TX, Tyler TX, Van Horn TX and lastly La Grange. Out of all the hotels we've stayed at, I've never experienced service like I did at this hotel! The woman at the front desk, Skylar, was absolutely phenomenal! After traveling for 6 hours, all we wanted to do was get into our hotel room and relax! When I walked in, she immediately greeted me and went searching for our reservation. And of course, it was lost! Par for the course this trip! She immediately handled the situation, got us the room we requested (super big deal for us) and said she would call Bestwestern.com and figure out what happened. We went up to our room, which was a King Suite; it was super nice! Nice, clean and the couch folded out into a sofa bed for our son. There was a small pony wall to divide us and him (super nice when sharing with a teenager), and a bathroom with a shower and tub! In the meantime, East Texas was having the worst cold front in history and our plans weren't working out as we had planned. We decided that it was best to head out a day early, but with all the complications with our reservation, I wasn't sure if we would be able to check out early and not loose our money. (By the way, Skylar called our room within 15 minutes after us checking in and spoke to someone at Bestwestern.com. Our reservation was somehow lost on the inter web and she was able to cancel it AND made sure that we received the same price per night!) The night before we went to leave early, Skylar was working again as well as her Manager Lisa. They had NO PROBLEM changing our reservation and allowing us to check out early and no loose out money! As a small business owner, that meant the world! These Ladies were absolutely fabulous! So to sum it up: Beautiful hotel Great rooms; clean, nice Parking was good, our trailer fit nice and easy Staff was outstanding
Great choice for convenience cleanliness and staff is very accomodating and friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Located right off of highway but is very quiet. Serious Texas hospitality and welcoming staff.
This is a wonderful hotel with easy access to the highway yet peacefully secluded and surrounded by fields and scrub-lands. Its an easy five minute drive from "downtown" La Grange and all the restaurants and shops on the square. I've stayed at the other "mid-range" hotel in town, the Hampton Inn, and found this Best Western to not only be better maintained, but also provide a better value and experience. I have stayed here several times over the past couple of years and have always found the hotel and staff to be inviting and friendly. The facilities and rooms are very well maintained, and the free breakfast is well stocked with a variety of items including, eggs, bacon, sausage, pastries, juice, yogurt and milk. While rates here are a bit higher than you'd expect for a standard Best Western, it's still a good value considering the service and good conditions of the facilities (and breakfast),. The parking lot is *extremely* well illuminated, something that I've found lacking at many mid-range hotel chains (especially in smaller towns), and I really appreciate it because it makes the hotel feel that much safer. The black-out curtains in the rooms ensure that the bright parking lot doesn't interfere with your rest. All in all, the Best Western La Grange is a winner in my book, and I will continue to stay here on my way to Austin. I also have no problems recommending it to friends and family. You'll be pleasantly surprised.
The lobby was so inviting with the Christmas tree up. Lobby, kitchen, and room very clean. The breakfast is the best breakfast I have any at any hotel. Staff made sure everything was always full. The front desk staff are the best.
I had reserved 2 rooms with 2 queens each because I had 4 adults in my group who each wanted separate beds. When I arrived, they only had 1 room with 2 queens and for the other room, they upgraded us to a suite which had a king and fold-out couch. Disappointing because reservation was not honored, but OK. Suite was nice, but in bathroom - shower caulk had mold on one corner. However, when using the shower that night, it turned out that as soon as you turned on cool water on control valve - hot water came out! When turned to warm - hotter came out!! When turned to hottest - even hotter water!! Turned back to all cool & let it run for about 5 minutes ... and then finally the hot water cooled enough to be able to take a shower. Same situation at bathroom sink - hot water came out when set at cold - ... had to get ice from ice machine (on 1st floor) to cool water, in able to have drinkable water & to brush teeth. Told front desk in morning about problems - they apologized said they would look into it. I would doubt that this was the 1st time it happened... but maybe so. There were no problems in the other room ... so I just got lucky with my room, I guess.
The staff greated us in a friendly professional manner. Everything in the room was clean. Was able to stream videos over the free wifi. The complementary breakfast was ready even before the stated time. All in all everything went well and we didn't have any issues.
Had a lovely stay here. Great bed, nice and comfortable with nice linens. Very good water pressure in the shower! Very clean and quiet. The breakfast is good too! I love the waffles! Convenient location right off of Highway 71. We would definitely come back and recommend this place for any future travel in the area.
We have been coming to the Best Western Inn and Suites in LaGrange, Texas, for several years now, and it is just that—the Best! We love staying here when we take family vacations in Texas. The hotel is exquisitely decorated, the rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. My son was commenting on how much he likes the breakfast buffet! I agree! Most buffets do not appeal to my picky eaters, and we end up having to buy breakfast out. But the complimentary breakfast here offers such a variety of items. Lovely new furniture in the rooms, too! It is definitely a home away from home!
Everything worked out wonderfully as staff was very attentive to our needs and helpful in keeping us with all our requests. Very personal and caring management and staff. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
The Fall antique show is a yearly trip we go with our neighbors. We attend the last weekend of the event that falls on the 1st weekend in October. The hotel, food, & staff are always courteous and helpful.
What a pleasant surprise to be greeted by such friendly staff! We enjoyed our stay and woke up to a very nice breakfast buffet. All staff are professional & friendly, which is very important to my family.
My family recently stayed at the Best Western in La Grange while traveling en route to a family reunion, and had a delightful stay. It's kid and family friendly. With Texas summer heat, Best Western's clean and we'll kept pool area, including plenty of comfortable seating for the parents, was great and lots of fun, especially for the kids. Hotel staff was courteous and respectful of other guests giving us half an hour notice that the pool closes at 10 pm, which was great. Breakfast was the best with plenty of choices, including fixings to make breakfast burritos and fresh pastries from a nearby bakery. They don't fool around with the coffee - no need to look around for a Starbucks- the coffee at the Best Western is really good quality, and certainly beats, hands down by far, any mainstream hotel I've stayed at. Thanks for the welcoming and comfortable stay, BW staff. Keep up your high standards.
The property is located less than a five minute drive to the historic town center. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating of requests. The free breakfast included the typical eggs, fruit, cereal, yogurt, etc. as well as pigs in a blanket which are common in this Czech town. I would give a higher review, except that this is a pet friendly hotel. For some people this is a plus, but this is a negative for me. Having said this, the hotel was very clean and there were no signs on our room that this is a pet friendly hotel.
Staff is great and always helpful would recommend this Hotel to all best place to stay in La Grange , we travel all over Texas and if im close to La Grange I will go out of my way to stay here for the atmosphere and the staff.
Everything seemed fine until we got to our room. Room appeared clean and well put together. Then I walked into the bathroom...one, very large cockroach was dead on the floor. It was too late in the night to leave to try a different hotel but we did not partake in the morning breakfast.
We spent the night after going to the Round Top Antique Fair! It was quiet and peaceful very pretty and clean and neat. You could make a coffee at anytime. Good breakfast! Book in advance during the Round Top Antique Show!
Hubs and I used Hilton Honor points for this visit. It was a nice stopping place on our way to Sherwood Forest Faire. We were greeted warmly. No wait or hassel at check in / check out. Our room size was the single Queen bed option. The workout area was small, but clean. Machines were well maintained. We were comfortable leaving for dinner / exploring. The area and parking lot felt safe. The breakfast and dining space was comfortable and clean. The food was typical waffles, premade omelets, etc. Our assigned room was clean and nicely appointed (No sofa or love seat.) The mattress is medium to firm. The desk was wonderful when I asked if there was a softer option. A full new set of sheets and blanket were quickly delivered to our room. (Thick comforter acts as additional padding for the bed when it is tucked in and new bedding placed on top of it.) We travel, often, for work. We appreciate that the experience was pleasant, through out our stay. Excellent option for a short, fun, staycation. This is a budget hotel. Settle into that mindset and you will love this hotel. Here are the reasons that I deducted a star: Queen beds with no option for a King. Rooms are small with no separation to watch TV. As a business traveler I need additional room to spread out for work / technology / in room dining. No true place to eat and work at the same time, within the room. Our night was quiet. In the morning, I heard children as they used their room's bathroom. It made me wonder if they heard my toilet habits.
We recently stayed here for a shopping trip to Round Top. We arrived late and they front desk was very accommodating about getting our rooms. Complimentary breakfast was delicious- they were fixing real eggs in the back and they were great! Also had Texas waffles, sausage, yogurt and some other things. Bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I would stay here again. Front desk staff very nice at all times.
Bed was very uncomfortable, sheets were scratchy, even the cheap toilet paper and facial tissues were scratchy. GOOD things about this location were the friendly staff both at check in and during breakfast. The breakfast selection is what saved the stay for us after having a horrible night's sleep. Try not to get a room facing the parking lot unless you want incredibly bright lights blasting through the window all night.
Previous Best Western's where we've stayed were nicer. This one was just average, but supposed to be one of the best places to stay in La Grange. The floor sloped about 10 degrees in our room on the 2nd floor. The water smelled like sulfur and the pillows were lumpy. Good points: room was clean & HVAC worked well. Unfortunately, in general,we will start looking for other hotels due to the disappointing declarations that Best Western Corp has made publicly against the NRA, NRA members and Americans.
Stayed one night to attend a function at the fairgrounds. Very short drive to fairgrounds. The hotel was nice and clean. I had requested a lower floor when I made online reservation. We got to the hotel at 3:00 check in time. There was five people ahead of us in line. There was a staff person hanging out in the room next to the check in desk. Didn't bother to help get the line down. Waited over 20 minutes to get checked in. Requested lower floor when I made the reservation. Given 4th fl room. Ask clerk and she said the were all given out....hummm. Room was clean. Bed was bouncy and uncomfortable to us. TV did not have a clear picture. Did not eat breakfast, but there was egg omelet things, sausage, and fried potatoes on the hot plate. Plus all the other normal breakfast items. It is a nice hotel and we would probably stay there again.
The rooms were dirty, the bathrooms were nasty, and the TV reception was poor. Breakfast was fine and staff was friendly. We ended up getting two different rooms and both were dirty. I cleaned the bathroom in the second room myself so we could use it!
We were on the fourth floor, nice quiet room, very clean and a comfortable bed. We will stay here again!!! The hotel staff was very helpful when the heater would not come on. Batteries needed to be replaced in the theromostat.
Except for the roaches in my room, excellent. I killed 3 small ones. Staff was friendly. Room was pleasant. Breakfast was great. The mattress had hard wire pieces in the edge. Uncomfortable to sit on. I have slept on better
We ended up at this La Grange BW after a terrible experience at a Fayetteville B&B. So thankful for a quiet room and a great night's sleep. Clean room and bathroom, nice toiletries, great breakfast. All good!
The staff were kind and accommodating. We had several reservation changes and needed early check-in. Our request was granted with no problems. The room was plain, but clean. The hotel was conveniently located on a major highway and easy to access.
Easy access off and on the highway. Check in agent was super nice and very knowledgeable of surrounding area. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Fitness center was basic.
This hotel is great for the small town it really makes it feel like a huge big city... everything was clean and in working order minus the ice machine on the fourth floor. Staff was excellent especially Brenda at check in!
Stayed here for a mom/daughter trip. TV wouldn't work. The young lady that came to repair it knew exactly what to do to rig it-which means they know the situation already. Tub would not drain so it filled up while taking a shower. The mattresses are very uncomfortable. Walls are incredibly thin. The person above me sounded like they were going to come through my ceiling and the kids across the hall had a great time screaming through the hallway. Woke up the next morning with bites of some sort on both of us. Spoke with the manager about this and she assured me there was nothing in that room. Needless to say I will not ever stay at this hotel again. Looks nice on the outside and in the lobby. Rooms look clean enough but there's a lot they need to fix. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable place to stay, this probably isn't the place
We recently stayed at the Best Western, La Grange, as part of a group. The hotel staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but there were some issues that prevent a rating above Average. 1. When I make a reservation, I always ask for a quiet location away from the highway and elevator. However, when we checked in, our room was immediately next to the elevator and overlooking the lobby and dining area. I asked for a different room, but the hotel was full and no other room was available. There was noise (both people talking and the dinging of the elevator), but it was tolerable. 2. The mattress on the bed is badly in need of replacement, as you can feel the springs. 3. The wifi in the hotel was hit or miss, only working some of the time. 4. Our biggest complaint: Upon returning to the room at 4:00, the room was untouched by housekeeping. Apparently, they just skipped our room. When I called to complain, they said that housekeeping had gone home for the day. A staff member did come to empty the trash and change the towels, while we waited out of the room. The strong point of the stay was breakfast. The attendant was very good. She made REAL eggs to order: fried or scrambled. Oatmeal was instant in packets, rather than cooked in a pot. Also, the hotel did allow our group to use the meeting room for a party.
Not the first time I have been in this BW location located next to a major highway but with the feel of sitting out in an area in the country. Even though there is a subdivision close by the immediate surroundings at this hotel is rural, so far. Service is good, Brenda very helpful, the building is not new but is well kept and I have always felt comfortable here. The rooms have good bath linens, the regular for extras such as micro wave, large TV, fridge (with freezer - important to me), coffee maker, iron etc. Only one let down was the fact that the Wi-Fi was temporarily out and prevented my use of it on first night, next night got in too late and too tired to care. Otherwise, this is a good location and nice place to explore the interesting surroundings and beautiful country in the area. Stop in and catch some zzzz's.
This hotel was overpriced. I could only get scalding hot water out of my sink, so no drinking water from my own room. The wifi would not stay connected for longer than 5 mins at a time. The fitted sheet slipped off if you looked at the bed.
Staff is friendly and attentive, hotel is very nice and the rooms are comfortable and clean. The bedding is comfortable and give a good nights sleep. Very nice hotel to stay whenever in the La Grange area.
Great front desk staff. Housekeeping pretty good. But for basically a standard room, rates are too high. Satellite internet slow and flat screen in room had poor picture. Breakfast was cold. reheated eggs in the microwave. Had breakfast around 8, so hour and a half before end of breakfast time. To sum it up, for the price of the room I'll have to go elsewhere to get a better rate.
This hotel needs better management. Snack machines empty for days, very few drinks in drink machine & No diet drinks at all. Beds & pillows very uncomfortable, we booked two king size rooms & both parties complained about the beds.
The hotel staff was very friendly. I love it that this BW accepts pets. The staff were all so nice to our dogs. The only thing negative I can say about our suite was the bathtub was gritty feeling and I think it was because it was old. That was the only thing in our suite that needed to be updated.
Enjoyed it very much. I travel for business and this was a nice place to call home for two weeks. Breakfast had a good selection and sundays when breakfast wasn't served till 7am yet we got in from work at 6, the staff would still make sure my coworker and I had something to eat on Sunday mornings. Awesome place
This hotel is one of the cleanest I'v stayed in in a long time. The staff seam to be cleaning right behind me. It looked as if they had just finished building the place. I can recommend this hotel. Jerry
I spoke with a woman named Nicole, she was EXTREMELY helpful and kind. I personally was not the one traveling but shew as so accommodating and helpful that I would go out of my way just to stay at this hotel because of her assistance. Great customer service is hard to come by and she excelled!
the hotel was nice and clean not to far from our location where we had to travel. the front desk clerks are very helpful and polite offer promotion for first time guest which was nice of her to do that and she just had that glow about her and the smile said it all she really loves her job. the clerk from the next day was very nice as well and I also mention to her about the $30 charge she inform me that once the checkout completes it will come off.
Very clean room and friendly people. Free wifi was great. Bed was comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. Didn't get to use the pool but it looked clean and had nice chaise lounges. Thumbs up!
Our recent night at LaGrange, TX BW more than met our expectations. On checking out, I was surprised to learn that the very well maintained property was already ten years old. It appeared almost new! All staff were friendly, helpful and kind. My Dad always favored BW on our family travels and he would have been extremely pleased with this one!
The breakfast employees were the best! Good variety of food served for breakfast. Very friendly staff overall. Very clean hotel worth the stay while visiting Monument hill for family history in La Grange.
Location of a 'ladies weekend' for the last 4 years (9-12 of us), this property is well located....but it is aging, not gracefully. Many of our rooms had awful mattresses. Half of our rooms had no cold water in the bathroom sinks. The front desk has no good responses to concerns such as these. (Television choices are BAD - could get neither the Houston Astros or the Texas Rangers....) On the good side - it is a good location for LaGrange and the surrounding area -- breakfast is ample and fresh -- wifi is good. Our group uses the breakfast area all weekend as our 'lounge' for playing games and visiting. Sadly, the meeting room facility (which has NEVER been in use) is not available to us without extra cost. After 4 years, one might think it would be offered to us.....but, I don't think this facility pays much attention to customer service and retention.
After driving 500 miles, I needed some downtime and found my tv wasn't working. Autumn, the manager on duty made several suggestions but, realizing how tired I was, found a man to switch the broken set with a new one, hooked it up and got new batteries for the remote.... Autumn took the time to make sure I was happy........and I was!!!
Overall this is a very clean hotel. Staff was very friendly. There were options for breakfast at reasonable times for those who had to be up early. Fitness center is small but very well kept. My only qualm was that the walls were a bit thin. Could sometimes hear conversations that were taking place at the opposite end of the hall as well as room doors being closed.
The room was comfortable and we would have been able to sleep well but children were running up and down the hall and shreaking until after midnight. Then a dog started barking. Breakfast the next morning was great.
We loved our room, we loved the location it fit right were the job site was. We had great in and out service, used room service and they quicky atttended to our room. We enjoyed very much our stay! For sure we will be using Best Western more often !!
The hotel is quiet and the room seemed clean enough. But the upholstered chair and ottoman were so filthy, they looked like someone let their dog sleep on it, outside, in the rain. It needs to be thrown away. It made me uneasy about the cleanliness of what I couldn't see in the room. I wanted to tell someone when we checked out, but there was no one at the desk to tell.
Common areas of property are well maintained. Staff is friendly. Room was clean; however, bathroom needed renovation and room furniture needed replacement due to stains and pealed off laminate. WiFi was not consistent with download speeds ranging from .1 mbps to 40 mbps. Breakfast was lacking and not resupplied when low. First day, no eggs and little sausage. Second day, no pastries and little milk. We had first floor room and could heard the elephants in the room above us.
For a small town it's a great hotel very nice appearance and decor... it's not a new hotel but it definitely looks new! Staff was nice. There's a Whataburger just down the steet that's open late and 24 hours on the weekends
The staff was very friendly everything was as they said it would be. The hotel is very stately lookIng. I felt very comfortable and safe. I can recommend "Bistro 108" for dinner, downtown on the square.
Never staying at a Best Western again!!! I was quoted a great price on the phone, but when I got there, the person that have me quote no longer works there. Our room was next to the elevators, so all night the "ding, ding" woke us up. They have the smallest, lumpiest pillows! There was black hair in our sink when we got there.
Stayed here for one night. The staff was excellent, from the front desk to housekeeping. All very polite, friendly, professional, and hardworking. However, my compliments stop there. The rooms are decidedly "cheap". Blankets were so thin they were more like itchy sheets, and didn't even reach the end of the bed. Thin polyester bedspreads. No extra blankets in the closets. Mattresses were cheap, squeaky, and uncomfortable. Door had a gap between the door and frame so wide we could literally see people outside in the hallway through the gap when the door was closed. Placed in a room next to a family with a small baby, who predictably cried loudly throughout the night, so very little sleep. All small things that could be easily fixed but apparently a quality experience for guests in not something high on Best Western's corporate priority list. I say corporate because - again - staff was great and I don't criticize them at all but obviously the materials they are provided by Best Western are sub-par. Hadn't stayed at a Best Western in many years and assumed they had improved over the years. Apparently not.
This BW property is consistently a great place to base from in this area of Texas right next to Hwy. 71 to Houston and Austin and this area has beautiful country to explore with Lake Fayette power plant water storage making fishing quite the attraction for the fish sportsman. The hotel is a very good size resting on a hillside and below grade of the highway seems to say "Come on in, we have privacy from the roadway." Rooms are large with comfy bed and the fridge with a micro wave standard for a plus, friendly folks at the desk, a pool and exercise room round out a facility that makes you feel as in the country with no close neighbors or businesses. You can't go wrong with this choice, all other hotels are in town and you deal with traffic for entering and leaving, but here you enter and leave on a frontage road with low traffic. Come on in, the country hotel is fine.
The owner and his employees are super-duper friendly and they have nice rooms. My cell phone provider service however did not work the whole time I was in this area. I had to rely on the hotel's wifi to make wifi calls, texts, email and go online but wifi signal did not reach my room and I had to leave my room and go into the lobby or business center to communicate with my phone. None the less, I was informed that the hotel is in process of completely revamping their internet network for this reason so I look forward to the next time I stay here. The water from the bathroom faucet smelled funny but most city waters do, e.g. Houston sink water smells like a swimming pool!
We drove down from Amarillo, Texas, and we were exhausted. A glitch with our credit card, the clerk took care of it. Get to the room, bleech. Bath yucky, floor cruddy, bed lumpy. Not a good experience.
We went up for a family gathering. We thought the location was perfect. The desk attendants offered great service. Breakfast was top notch....real scrambled eggs!. All in all , it was a really good bargain. Unfortunately the pillows were uncomfortable.
Friendliness and helpfulness at the front desk left a lot to be desired. They could not accommodate early checkin which is fine, but please say it with a smile. Walls paper thin. Elevator took forever (used the stairs often). No bedcover in the rooms? Made for miserable night w little sleep if any ! With 4 in the room , adjusting AC in middle of night was not option. Neither were there blankets in closet. The breakfast was awesome.
Check in went smoothly and accommodated request for top floor room; room door shut but is not exactly square in frame; left enough of a crack at bottom to admit light; hallway was uncomfortably warm; no horizontal grab bar on back shower wall; work table is too small and only standard wood room chairs are available to use at the work table; these chairs are way too low for work table use; breakfast area coffee is always hot and there is a variety of breakfast items.
In a nutshell way below standard for Bestwestern or any Branded hotel for that matter. Lumpy beds and pillows, thin sheets, poor quality bath towels, non-branded toiletries, etc. The only thing that did look like a "BEST WESTERN" was the outside of the building and sign.
My family and I frequently stay at this Best Western. It is always very clean and well tended. Staff is friendly and attentive. I always feel very safe. And of course, the free breakfast buffet is always delicious and a great way to start your day!
This hotel is perfectly situated half way between Houston and Austin. Clean. Quiet. Comfortable. I stay here regularly and I have yet to have a bad experience. Ivy at the front desk is always happy and helpful. Recommend.
The television took several trips by the desk clerk to get it working, and then when we shut it off, it required another trip by the "technician" to turn it on. No TV listings in the binder in the room and when I went back to the desk clerk several times in an attempt to get a list OR find out how to access certain stations, she was less than helpful. The room itself was OK after I removed two dead cockroaches lodged on top of the air conditioner. The room and bathroom were OK, bed was excellent. My request for a grand floor room was not honored...but the second floor room was quiet and it was fine.
I'm not very particular about having everything under the sun in a hotel, so this place was just perfect for me. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was not lavish but was good nonetheless. The WiFi, which is one thing I really care about, was good (and free). They were a little slow during checkout and check-in, but maybe that's because of our odd hours. Overall, a good place to stay.
My sister and I try to go to Round Top Antiques Weekend every year. A couple of years ago we made a reservation at BW because it was the only place left with a vacancy. We had been reluctant before because of the distance from Warrenton/Round Top. Well, that distance is really very short, about 10-15 minutes through beautiful rolling hill farms country. The BW is now our number one place to make our reservation. The staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms are always clean and roomy. The showers are good, the breakfast is good. I don't think we have ever had a problem so we no longer look for those expensive B&Bs around Round Top - we just make our reservations well in advance at the Best Western La Grange. Oh, and we found a great restaurant downtown, Bistro 108 for dinner. Excellent food! I highly recommend this Best Western.
Conference trip to Texas, needed a central location. This hotel was rather spartan in décor and conveniences, but was clean. Would have enjoyed a chair to relax in at the end of the day other than the office chair at the table in the room
The Best Western in La Grange is a nice place to stay. The room was very clean, breakfast was fresh and quite tasty. The bed was ok. Not quite as comfortable as I had hoped but overall it was a good stay
Checked in easy, checked out easy, full due to event in the area and service still great. We stay here twice a year for this event and it is wonderful every time. Never have had any problems. Staff very helpful, since it is usually completely booked for when we go I sometimes call several days in a row to check for any cancellations and not one time has the receptionist acted annoyed or not checked to see if there are any rooms available.
Twice a year three friends and I go to the Round Top Antique Show - this Best Western in La Grange is so close and convenient to Warrenton and Round Top and La Bahia - all prime antique shopping areas. The rooms are clean and comfortable - and breakfast is included in the price of the room. The staff is friendly and helpful. This would also be a great place to stay - located on the freeway if you are traveling between Houston and Austin.
I stayed here two night and the rooms were great. The rooms were clean, beds were soft and comfortable. I didn't eat the breakfast and didn't use the fitness center. The staff were polite and helpful. I will stay here again
Very nice hotel...clean, friendly staff, quiet. Offers one of the better breakfasts compared to other hotels w/ free breakfast. Will definitely stay again. Close to Round Top and the awesome antique shops. Love the small town feel too.
We have stayed in many Best Western hotels. They are usually very clean and comfortable. The quality of the breakfast made this one stand out from the rest.. The food was fresh and tasted more like homemade than the other hotels where we have stayed. We were pleasantly surprised. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs to stay in the area.
Conveniently located on Hwy 71 one hour east of Austin. A clean, efficient little property. Never a problem with parking. A generous breakfast buffet. Friendly staff. My only picks are as follows. The pool area is hit or miss with regard to cleanliness. Twice I have seen multiple rodent(?) droppings scattered about the pool patio. The bed covers are super thin. Make certain to check the AC temp prior to falling asleep. If you have the temp set too low you will certainly wake up in the middle of the night frozen due to the paper thin covers on the bed. Overall a serviceable place to spend the night.
Friendly staff, clean lobby and rooms, good breakfast. plenty of parking . Because we had a bad experience at a BW in Victoria, Tx. we were unsure about staying at another BW but due to bad weather there was an power outage across town. This BW had power. It turned out great, they let us check out the room and beds before we unloaded our luggage, it was great.
Decent, but mediocre experience. Room looked fine, felt comfortable/secure enough by myself. Staff difficult to reach at front desk - always had a bell out to wait for staff to arrive. There was hair stuck in fresh bathroom towels, but appeared clean otherwise. Over all fine, just pricey for the value.
We have been staying at the Best Western Hotel every sense it opened. We come for our annual family reunion - The East Family Reunion. We always reserve 10-12 Rooms we stay from Friday to Monday. We always enjoy our stay. That is why we return every year. The Hotel is very clean The Breakfast is excellent always hot and fresh The rooms are nicely prepared Our Children enjoy your pool Your entire staff is very courteous We have no complaints. We would like a better group rate on our rooms if possible. we look forward to seeing you all again next year. Thank you and your staff for all that you do to make this a successful vacation for all of us. Sincerely Michael Hubbard
When I checked in I had some bottled water to put in the fridge, however apparently cleaning that out is not part of housekeeping as there was a bunch of old food in there. After looking more closely at other things you could see under the sink in the bathroom is not mopped on a regular basis either
Stayed here for a quick trip out to La Grange and really enjoyed our stay. The room was in great condition, the property was extremely clean and the staff was friendly. The hotel is easily accessible from the freeway. Would definitely recommend.
Very clean property, great staff. I stay usually around 80-100 days a year and this Hotel for the money is by far the best value. Some are nicer and some are worse but you get what you pay for and the Value for La Grange is at the Best Western.
This Hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful. we had their breakfast two different mornings and both times the cooks kept the fresh food coming out and kept the eating area clean and fresh. We had two different cooks. We had rooms facing the back and we could not hear any traffic noise. I have had back surgery and can't do stairs and they were very accommodating and put us on the main floor. Very clean room and Comfortable beds. Will go back again! Very nice and clean little town. Very impressed.
I stay at a lot of Best Western hotels, but this one was not up to the standards as most of them. I booked for 4 people, there was not enough towels and we had to go ask for some. There was items from the previous guest left in room. The room seemed to be clean. We could hear kids running in other room and it was noisy through out the night. The employees seemed to be new. There was a sign on counter indicating that there was free bottled water and fruit. The employee behind counter didn't even act like she knew it was there. Directed us to the vending machine. The breakfast was not good, tater tots were mushy. Pool was clean.
Great place, a very nice pool area were I had a Cigar after a long day. When several deer came they grazed in the field behind the Best Western. Very peaceful made my week. Great room after relaxing time I slept great very quite. I enjoyed a very good breakfast. I enjoyed my stay and will recommend this location again. Hope you get to see the deer. I have a picture of the view from my room. But no pictures of the deer sorry.
If you need to travel with a pet, I highly recommend this Best Western. Further, if you are a senior, the staff were very accommodating by giving us a ground floor room close to car parking--very helpful for loading and unloading the car as well as taking the dog for a walk.
Stranded due to local flooding. Best Western was great! Best Western morning staff provided cell phone chargers to help out. Very thoughtful! Great checkout staff! Breakfast staff was somewhat inattentive with the breakfast items being offered. Other than that, the breakfast was satisfactory.
Booked a room here through hotels.com, we arrived close to midnight expecting a room, the man at the front desk said the room was booked for the next day and he had no rooms for us. Turns out he screwed up, never took responsibility for it..hotels.com called him to confirm and he told them he actually did have rooms after they instructed him how to work the system. Basically they had a guy at the front desk who couldn't work the system. Ended up driving forty minutes away to another hotel and still in the process of getting our refund back. Horrible service .
One of the beauty spots in Texas is La Grange, especially with the rains lately, the country is bursting in all shades greens and wildflowers. The ponds and reservoirs are full, bees are buzzing, and the local folks are smiling. this location is right off the main highway and close to all locations in town. I stayed here because I had business in nearby Round Top which is only a few minutes away. This is a great location and a fine hotel run by friendly folks with a sense of humor, well, the lady I dealt with was that way. comfortable room with all you need to heat a meal and keep the leftovers cool. Comfortable bed but kinda slick with the protective cover, clean room with good space and if you are in the back, a nice view of greenery. Good breakfast bar and coffee anytime. Nice bath amenities with good linens. Drop in and stay in the country in the back and highway in the front. Take advantage of the quiet surroundings and ease of getting on the road no matter which way you are traveling, drop in and stay in the historic old town of La Grange!!
Here is a list of things I found annoying: Pillows were large and lumpy. Bed was saggy. Top sheet was old and scratchy rough Air conditioner was2 feet from bed and blew air on me so I had to turn it off to sleep. Refrigerator made a loud buzzing noise when the compressor went on. The dual pain windows have metal frames so they don't block any noise from the freeway that runs in front of the hotel. Hotel is pet friendlly-howling dog in another room. Curtains do not block light well. Hotel room is large and clean. Good towels, shower, and lighting.
While I may have had other choices of hotel in the La Grange area, I chose this one because of its centrality and I know that Best Western Plus means it will be a good quality hotel. My friends stayed at B&B's in Round Top and paid 2-3 times as much that I paid for BW Plus and it was only a 15 minute (scenic) drive.
very clean, friendly, pleasant smell, room in good working order, comfortable bed, quiet, easy access, hot breakfast (nice selection), great coffee ... spent two nights and will use it again if I am in La Grange ... paid the extra few dollars for a suite with a sofa for more seating choices and a little more room since we were staying more than one night ....
After a long day, we wanted a hot shower and some dinner. The water was "cool" at best. I reported it to the front desk. She said they had been having "problems". I asked her if hot water was extra. i would have paid it. Over $100 for a room without hot water was not a value.
This hotel was conveniently located to our needs; the staff members were all courteous and helpful; and the hotel was clean and attractive. The bed and pillows were both extremely uncomfortable. There was a large lump down the center of the king mattress which made it feel as though we were climbing a football. The pillows were too short to be effective for sleeping comfort.
We have stayed at this Best Western for the past 7 years. We have always received excellent service and the staff have always been helpful and courteous. Whenever we go to LaGrange we always staff at this hotel
Very nice, clean hotel. Located in a pretty setting near restaurants and stores. The price was good with breakfast included. It had a ice little gym and pool. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet.I highly recommend it
Going to an A&M basketball game, we found this new (and clean) hotel east of town. Very modern, clean, friendly staff, better than average hotel breakfast. Good price, too. Less than 10 minutes from campus. Only down side: We asked for accessible room. The shower was not roll-in but had a 4" curb, and no grab bars at toilet.
Very friendly staff. The front desk went above and beyond getting the rooms requested at time of reservation. At check in the staff were very friendly. During the stay the staff made sure everything was ok. At check out again the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. I do love the new things added.
First of all the place was hard to find. The room was so so. We had to pay a $15 charge for the 19 pound schnauzer that travels with us. There was no hot water...only warm and then there was no cold water at all either. The upholstered chair had not been vacuumed perhaps ever.....crumbs under the cushion and then found crackers behind the chair. But the topper was the breakfast maid clippiing and cleaning her nails at one of the breakfast tables ! Then I knew I had to complain. We had to ask for a reduction of the rate. To me this should have been an automatic reduction no questions asked. Plus it was expensive....$140 per night.
I travelled to La Grange TX to visit the Trail of Lights at the Monument Hill and Kriesche Brewery State Historic Sites and see the wonderful historic Kriesche house there in Holiday splendor! I was traveling with my little Yorkie dog and therefore looking for a Pet Friendly in B&B or place to stay in La Grange TX and opted for the Best Western. The Inn was clean and had a good and complimentary breakfast in the morning of TEXAS waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, juices, coffee and more.
Couldn't find the place first, No cold water in the room, Receptionist was out back smoking and talking on the phone while we waited by the front counter. The breakfast was horrible, They were making it in a microwave in front of everyone. The yogurt was just sitting there not on ice or in a frig.
All of the basics were great: Quick check-in and check-out; clean, quiet room. The problems were extremely slow internet and TV remote and the lighting. There is only one overhead light just inside the door. My middle aged eyes had a hard time reading with only the two lamps in the room without hunching over underneath one of them. On the other hand, the bathroom lighting was great compared to many other more expensive hotels where I've stayed. I appreciated the fact that I didn't have to plug my phone in to charge across the room; there was an open outlet behind the nightstand.
A very nice hotel. Automatic doors, clean smelling lobby, friendly, professional welcome - fast check-in, fast check-out. Hallways very clean, as is the elevator. Room smelled nice and fresh, bed linen crisp and modern looking, room comfortable, mattress very comfortable, bathroom clean, towels snow-white and soft. Nice "standard" breakfast. Everything worked. No complaints at all. One warning - look for the sign to Best Western when you get on the Overpass- my GPS wanted to send me to the wrong side of the Highway.
Our GPS took us way off course for this property, if we had not had a visual of this Best Western, we would never have found it. But once found we had a great stay, very lovely property, clean, pleasing to the eye and comfortable.
The staff are friendly, The room was clean. One side of the king sized bed was worn out (wanted to roll off the side) but the other side was okay. Breakfast was okay - waffles, eggs, cereal, pastry etc. I think the price was high for what it was but being right off the highway made it convenient for the one night.
Good, timely, varied, breakfast food, comfortable rooms for guests to visit when we were in-between activities, and pleasant employees made for a good trip to La Grange, TX! The new Best Western Plus shocked us because we have stayed at many older Best Western motels across the good ol' USA!
We rented two rooms on October 3rd.. The staff at the front desk were very unprofessional and not at all friendly. We forgot a phone charger in room and called them back to see if they could mail it to us. They first said they did not have them and when pressed she said they would ask cleaning staff. They then said they did have chargers but would need my credit card to send them fed ex which costs around $18.00. I have left an item at a different hotel and they were more than happy to mail item to me. They finally agreed to send it but only after talking to manager. Two weeks later when we had not received them, I called and same clerk told me " well that is why we send them fed-ex, they were probably lost in the mail". What else is there to say about this hotel. Their actions and attitude says it all. It was a below average hotel with an above average rate..
We stayed here to attend a family funeral. The staff was helpful in arranging two adjoining rooms for family members (including a baby as well as two 60+ family members. I did not take advantage of the breakfast so I can't speak to that. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others.
Hotel was average. Looks good on the outside but very average on the inside. Room was clean but the beds were cheap and the tub and toilet were very low grade. I would stay there again because it was clean. The employees that ran the front desk were not professional at all. Not happy and not dressed well. The food was a very low grade of food but everything looked clean. Just not very appetizing food at all. People had to wait for the coffee. They were getting very agrivated at the fact that you could only do a few cups every ten minutes or so.
This is my preferred place to stay when fishing Fayette Lake. The staff are friendly, the breakfast is hot, and the hotel is quiet. They also have long parking spaces in the back for boats and tow vehicles. Beds are nice and soft.
Comfy-priced reasonably and perfect for the fair time or antique festivities. I have stayed here several times and always pleased. Friendly staff and close to everything. Will stay here again during Antiques week or next year for the fair.
Very pleased. I stayed for a few weeks when coming to town. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was awesome and they kept it full until the end of the breakfast period, some let it run out and the food is terrible if you come late, this was awesome to the end. Very clean and anything I needed they had it to me quickly. Price was perfect for the area.
We were allowed to checkin early. We used the pool twice and it was wonderful. The staff came out and made sure there were plenty of towels. We ate breakfast in the morning and it was very good. We would definitely stay there again!
