No blanket for bed, no washcloths, floor icky barefooted. No poop bags at pet area. Door handle falling off main lobby door the whole time we were there. Tried to over charge us for our pups, pet policy stated $35 per stay per pet, fair enough. They tried charging $35 a night per pet till I threatened to go elsewhere. Clerk was hard to hear and understand.
One-night stay was disappointing. The shower was broken when we arrived, and despite reporting it to the front desk, they only promised to fix it the next morning. Additionally, the walls were incredibly thin, making it hard to get a good night's sleep due to noise from other rooms. Overall, the experience was far from satisfactory.
Devang offered to help with luggage. Very clean hotel, very nice pool. Rooms nice and large. Devang gave us good advice as to places to eat. Location very close to McGuire AFB. Hotel being updated with large bathroom. Devang gave us a first floor room.
As stated in previous, recent reviews, this place is an old, outdated, disgusting dump, with thin walls, long term riff raff on property, and bugs. Stains on carpets, linens, along with a rusty sink and tub. The photos of the property misrepresent the actual condition of the hotel. Asked for a refund for unsanitary and unsafe conditions and were told no refunds. And that was after being moved to a second room, which was equally disgusting. They will reply and say they strive to make their guests happy, that's total BS. We ended up staying at a beautiful holiday inn 25 minutes away instead.
Moved to diff room 2x bc of issues. 2nd room bugs! Dealt a few bugs in bathroom but left food on bureau to use bathroom and comeback out to bug in my dish. Yuck!! Safe didn't work in any of the rooms. Last room no safety door lock. And socks on floor! Night stand drink cups water rings. Room cleaned??? Workers friendly and helpful. Previous times no issues but this was our last time.
Starts off nice but the next day you come back the room is not made up the sign was on door to made room up the safe in room was not working the bed was not made up when I came back from trip so I had to go to desk to get towels and cups soap the air conditioning works good it takes time but it is ok
Other than the staff being friendly, this place is a dump!! Old & outdated, clearly the property isn't maintained, our room smelled of dog, the breakfast is mediocre at best. Thankfully there were fast food places near by. The most disturbing is the riff raff that occupy rooms full time. BBQs in the back parking lot adjacent to the pool, drinking, foul language, loud music all hours of the night and the place reeks of pot! Would never recommend 👎👎
Everything about here was good except for the beds. If I wanted to sleep on the floor I would but came to rest and relax. I woke up in so much pain due to the rock hard beds The room was really clean and was spacious Front desk was easy to work with, check out was quick ☺️
My extreme dissatisfaction recent stay at SureStay Plus by Best Western McGuire AFB Jackson From my second day upon arriving. I encountered a series of unacceptable issues that significantly impacted my experience. I stayed at your hotel from 7/29/2024 to 8/5//2024. Roach Manifestation: During my stay, I killed 1 to 2 roaches at least per day in my room. This is completely unacceptable and unsanitary. Peephole Concerns: A peephole in the upper left corner, by the ironing board. Compromised my privacy and security. This was noticed on my sixth day of stay. I felt uncomfortable knowing that someone may have invaded my privacy and potentially see into my room. Faulty Noisy Light Bulb: Despite multiple complaints to the front desk, the noisy light bulb in my room remained unfixed. The constant buzzing disrupted my sleep and overall comfort. Electrical Fumes Odor: The most distressing issue was the persistent odor of electrical fumes. I reported this to the front desk, and a maintenance staff member acknowledged the problems.( an African American) However, the promised fixture replacement never occurred, leaving me and my special needs son exposed to this unpleasant smell for the entire six-day stay that was left. I believe these issues warrant immediate attention and resolution. As a guest, I expected a safe, clean, and comfortable environment, which was sorely lacking during my stay.
First, I need to start off saying that the staff at the SureStay at McGuire AFB was extremely friendly and very helpful and always ready to get you whatever you need; It's not their fault that this place is such a hole in the wall! If you Have any sense of cleanliness whatsoever, do not stay at this hotel! The pictures tell the story, but there was a pubic hair in my bed, The bathroom was so disgusting. I didn't even want to use it; the bathtub was so disgustingly dirty, they have a Styrofoam dropped ceiling in the bathroom with no vent fan and it's completely rundown. They have a metal plate covering where there was a hole in the tub. The walls are filthy, the carpet is filthy! The drain in the tub is rusty along with the Kleenex dispenser in the wall. I had to use the lobby restroom a couple of times and the toilet paper was not in the dispensers so I told maintenance that the toilet paper was all sitting on shelves instead of in the in the dispensers and we're probably on the floor at one time , so they did put the toilet paper in the dispensers. The dispensers did not work and they were falling off of the wall. I looked inside the one that was on the floor and I don't even know what it was caked with feces or whatever you want to call it , the pillows had stains on them, I took the pillowcases off to look at them and they were disgusting. All of this is in my pictures and they have no right charging what they do stay at this hotel. We only went there to stay a couple of nights to visit my nephew at McGuire AFB , and we will never stay there again!
The hotel staff are nice, the room was decent. The mattress is on a very cheap metal frame with no box spring and the mattress is about the cheapest spring mattress you can but. If you have traveled a long way this is not going to be a place that you get good rest.
Mattress is rock hard and leaves you with body aches. So much dampness in the room walking on the carpet felt gross and it made the cotton bedding feel damp so sleeping was uncomfortable.
We were traveling for a softball tournament, so there was approximately 10 rooms reserved for four nights. We arrived on Wednesday at 2 AM and were given keys to a room that was already occupied. We had previously received complaints from parents on the team, regarding bugs being in their rooms and the smell throughout the entire hotel was pretty bad. The tub was yellow and dirty. I would never stay there again and I have stayed in approximately 30 different hotels.
This is one of the dirtiest places I've ATTEMPTED to stay at. They tried changing our rooms 3 times and the bedding was filthy and also it had fleas in the rooms. They wouldn't refund us either since it was “the same day” but none of this was our fault??? Awful, nasty, dirty place.
At first glance it appears they've remodeled. However, when you really look around, you'll see the ceiling is outdated, very old, rusty, moldy, very unappealing, especially in bathroom. Perhaps move the furniture when you clean the room. So that other people's left items aren't stuffed and stuck underneath it. The carpets are old and nasty, but yet the pictures posted on the internet show new floors. The beds were comfortable and I checked for bedbugs on the mattress, no issues and linen smelled clean. I had a room in the back that faced the pool and the gazebo area and it was very loud at night. I texted the front desk and they took care of it right away. Staff was very nice and friendly. Some I could not understand when I spoke to them.
The customer service here is absolutely terrible. I currently manage a hotel myself in Time Square, NYC so i know how hospitality should go. This hotel staff does not care about anything but selling the rooms. They don't care about your concerns. They don't care about your requests or making sure you're comfortable for your stay. They are extremely rude & will tell you anything to satisfy you for the moment so you don't keep “complaining”. The front desk agents don't allow you to speak to a manager so your concern is dealt with. I ended up leaving my face wash & toothpaste in the bathroom because i was in a rush (i know for sure i left it because my partner told me he saw it on the counter of the bathroom right before we left, i just forgot to grab it). I called the hotel immediately after to let them know & the front desk agent named Dev & Rha, told me to contact the next morning to speak to a manger and housekeeping. I called the next morning and the front desk agent Dev was extremely rude to me. I have never in my years of traveling ever came across someone like him and i work in NYC!! (I come across rude people all the time). As a manager at a hotel, that was extremely shocking to experience. He refused to let housekeeping manager know about my issue, so i practically had to beg to speak to the housekeeping manager. I know every hotel has one because i work at one!! When i told him that, he says “you don't speak spanish, they can't help you” and that was even more shocking because how can you assume i don't speak spanish?? and funny thing is my first language is spanish!! I finally got through to the housekeeping manager and he expressed to me that he will look in the lost and found. He also told me that the front desk agent never asked them to look for my belongings. So Dev lied to me and told me that housekeeping didn't have my things, without even checking. Why lie? Because you don't feel like doing work?? It's so inconsiderate. Not to mention, the hotel room reeked of cigarettes. The towels had stains on them. The duvet on the bed is not actually a duvet. They just stick a comforter in between 2 sheets, which also had several stains on them. The water from the shower and sick smelled like rusty pipes. and of course these concerns were not looked after either. I have been trying to get in contact with general manager or someone higher up to express my concerns but unfortunately nobody cares enough to get back to you. So good luck with this hotel!!
If I could give it a zero I would. Some issues I had: muddy water, bugs, very dirty, holes and stains in sheets, smelt like a litter box, the breakfast was stored open in the basement, the pool was not open even though we were told it would be, broken tv, missing shower curtain, missing tile. The list could go on for days.
There was brown smelly water coming from the pipes. I reported it and the staff said I should let the pipe run and it will clear. Staff were very unfriendly and said she didn't have control over the water in the pipe.
Not worth the price we paid; we were hoping for a step above a motel after a long day, but it did not meet pur expectations. Their system had a glitch so it took several minutes to check-in. The shower in our room had a leak and the tub appeared to have rust stains. Despite being a non-smoking room, the bathroom smelled faintly of cigarettes and had no exhaust fan. The breakfast was okay.
Pool was not filled so after a long tournament of baseball in the baking sun we were looking forward to a nice swim in the pool, but the pool was not filled and I was not informed that during my booking. Also, our boys got contact highs from the amount marijuana that filled the air. The bathrooms were filthy.
My family came to visit Six Flags and this was the best option for hotel rooms. I was very pleased with the grounds and how clean the hotel is. The room was comfortable for our one night stay, wish it was longer. The air conditioning was nice and cold. The TV was a little small but it was fine for us. We didn't get the chance to use the pool but we saw others having a great time in it. Nice outdoor area to chill and watch the kids. We will make this our spot to stay at whenever we come to visit this Six Flags location. There was also a cute flea market down the street I would advise anyone to visit. An overall beautiful community.
This hotel is completely awesome and I will stay here every time. Absolutely love the staff here and they go above and beyond
Great Price, Great service, Great Value. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well. Will definitely book here again.
Arrived, no one was at the front desk. We waited for about 10 minutes before someone came down. Was assigned a room in which it smelled horrible, almost like urine and close to room where kids were running around screaming, so I requested to move. Went to another room, bugs/roaches were everywhere. Took several videos of the room & told the front desk gentleman. He was neither apologetic or empathetic of that experience whatsoever. Extremely nonchalant about it. He gave us keys back to the original room that I asked to be moved from & said that's the only one he had & for us to open the window for ventilation or spray some air freshener. Laid down for a bit, & it wasn't even 10 minutes before I saw a roach in there. Horrible experience. Was not offered anything for that experience in which I was clearly upset about by the front desk. It was almost as if he was asking me for guidance instead of taking control of the situation & figuring out the best solution for a bad guest experience. He gave me a gmail account email address for the manager, said he was the Assistant Manager which let me know everything I needed to know.
This is for all clean and self respect people in the world. My wife and I had a bday and check in this horrible place and first room had spider second roaches. I didn't even stay 5min in any room. They didn't want to give me my refund back don't replay to this Mr mgmt
I stayed at the Surestay by McGuire AFB NJ from 2-5 May 24.Room had bedbugs and no remote for TV. I was inconvenienced to move to another room and some compensation should apply.
To b a 2 star its was nice and clean.. could use some updating in the bathtub area.. over all I would stay again.. very close and convenient to where I had to b all wkend. Will b back in few months.. recommend.
Lighting of the property was my biggest concern. I was not familiar with the area and having my new vehicle. Just safety of their guests did not seem to be a concern when your outside of building. But key card is required after 9 pm. Otherwise the hotel was clean.
After being on the road for more than 26 hours straight, i choose this place to stay. It's quiet and i feel at ease here. In the past i have eaten the breakfast which is pretty good because i have stayed where you either don't get breakfast or there isn't much to choose from. Staff is polite and quick to get you checked in.
When you check into the hotel, the lobby makes it look very modern and clean. But when you get to your room, it's a whole nother story. There was a Band-Aid hanging from our lamp and I found a medication patch between my sheet and comforter. When I got into bed later that night. There were stains all over the wall and our bathroom smelled like it hadn't been cleaned in a week
We took a short family trip to Six Flags. My husband is military and currently at a different base than our home base and often find BW hotels offer the best bang for your buck. They usually have great breakfasts as well. For 3 nights the price was great. We spent significantly less than we did on the Six Flags tickets. The hotel was average at best. Unfortunately, they only had 2 Double beds available for our family of 4. It was comfortable enough. Our room was adequate. Not reflective shine clean, but doable. The bathroom could use a bit of work (the tub and shower head were very rusty) and we had an issue with moisture in the room (we could not dry wet clothes for three days), but we only utilized the room to sleep and were out most of the day, so we didn't find the issues detrimental. I will say, I am a huge fan of BW breakfasts. All other BW establishments have a wonderful spread, this one fell sorely short. We were only given the option of an egg patty and sausage patty, wheat or white bread (if you wanted to make a sandwich or toast with the patties), cold cereal, or oatmeal. There was not a switch up between bacon and sausage or some sort of waffles or pancakes. We ended up spending the money each morning and buying breakfasts. The pool was in good condition. We did not use it because it was often crowded by kids and we were worried our toddler would be splashed or bumped into excessively. It's a great bang for your buck if you're looking for an affordable place to stay while visiting Six Flags.
The room definitely could have been cleaner. Front desk ladies were nice. It's not really the hotels fault but we were next to some ridiculously noisy people. One guy was screaming profanities (sounded intoxicated) banging on his room door for whoever was with him to let him in. Heard two men yelling at each other as well. Slamming doors CONSTANTLY. Making all the dogs bark each time (After 11 mind you) I called the front desk and they said they would check on it. My kids were scared. I was very unsettled. Like I said not the hotels fault for crappy, inconsiderate guests but based off all that we won't be staying there again.
Will it's a nice room but the phone is now working but you have your cell the safe is not working but who needs that anyway it's a lot less then the other hotels the other hotels I Ben to if all the things are fixed it will be nice
This was by far the worst place I've ever stayed. Didn't even stay until check out. Packed up and left the night before. Everything was broken. And the beds were so uncomfortable and way to small for two adults. Our original given room the refrigerator was broken, so instead of just giving us a different refrigerator they told us we had to switch rooms, after unpacking everything. They could don't bring up another refrigerator because the front desk person was the only one there? The ice machine was broken, and the outlet in the bathroom was also broken. Don't waste your time or money. The outter aesthetics of the building are the only things that are remotely nice about this place.
Very good location for Six Flags Great Adventure. Room smells bad and the water shower was terrible I don't think I'll be back again. Don't recommend. The team is very friendly and helpful. I have to change roon but didn't work.
Most hotel staff is awesome, however housekeeper took an item from my room on the first day of service and after I brought it up never came back for 24 days. Owner ultimately dismissive of the issue. Hotel is in need of renovation as carpet is worn out and stained. Internet is not password protected leading to security concerns. Some gym equipment is broke limiting usefulness. Was told by the owner they are getting rid of room safes further compounding security concerns. On sight staff is high quality though for the most part, excluding the actual housekeeper that steals and refuses to exchange linens, remove trash, or restock items after you bring up the theft to management.
Walk into a modernly decorated room with elegantly stationed pillows with bright white linens. New furniture in rooms, flat screen television, a desk with table lamp, and a dresser with a suitcase stand and full-length mirror make for a very nice setting. There's ample opportunity to feel at home due to their also being a small refrigerator and microwave. A coffee maker is also present. The bathroom has a beautiful white large rectangular basin and a well-lit large mirror spanning the width of the bathroom. The bathtub basin is clean as is the shower curtain. If you need to eat a snack, there's a vending machine and soda machine in a foyer area next to a building entrance. There's ample parking, and close access to Wrightstown and Ft. Dixx. Dominos' pizza, 7 -Eleven and a few other businesses are within walking distance.
Appearance is good. The beds are hard as rocks. If you have a bad back avoid this place. Furniture is a cheap. Bathrooms are sub par. Drains barely work. Gym doesn't have a single free weight. Breakfast sucks.
Breakfast was excellent. Lobby was beautiful. Smell of water in bathroom sink. Water stains and mold in bathroom. No housekeeping or making of bed or sheets changed. Was told every 3 days do it. Bathroom was most disappointing. Friendly staff.
Everything was good. Except the awful smell on the second floor by elevator! Room was clean and smelled good. Fresh towels and sheets. The shower/tub was high off ground it was very hard for my 72 year old mother to get in and out. I had to help her so she wouldn't fall.
In general, the staff was friendly and courteous. However the bathrooms were not cleaned properly. The tub was dirty, and the toilet had fecal matter sprayed about the inside of the bowl. This was clearly not cleaned properly by the cleaning staff. It was not reported, we just chose not to tip the cleaning staff when we left.
Called before we left to make sure the Pool was open for Labor Day weekend. They said yes it will close after Labor Day. Took the two hour drive and once we arrived the pool was closed. The pool is outside it wasn't covered and looked like there was nothing wrong. I asked why didn't they notify everyone that the pool would be closed before they arrived. The lady in the front said when people get here we will tell them and if they want a refund we will refund them. So they made people drive to their hotel to tell them the pool is not open and they can get the money back. WHERE WOULD WE GET A HOTEL DURING THE SATURDAY OF LABOR DAY EVERYTHING WAS SOLD OUT! Many people did ask for a refund but they were giving them the run around. They just scammed so many people to go to their hotel for the pool that they knew was closed. The rooms smell. My daughter found a condom wrapper in our room. So they don't even clean the rooms. Worse place!
It all started when I checked in greeted by lovely smiles. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The next morning I awakened to a lovely breakfast. Going through the lobby I was greeted with good mornings and hellos. As I walked out the door on my journey I hear "have a nice day." The hotel left me full of peace and this place will always be on my list of stops when I'm in town! Thank you for your kind service!
The staff are awesome and helpful. They are on top of everything that I need. Being here feels like I'm at home. Comfy rooms and peaceful environment. I love it here. Thank you for a great stay here!!
We needed a hotel near Jackson on a weekend in the summer and this is the only one we could find under $300. The google reviews were surprisingly good for the price ($140) compared to other hotels for that night so we booked it for 3 nights. As soon as we turned into the parking lot late friday night we realized this was not what we thought. There were people hanging around all over out front - leaning on the walls smoking and hanging out on the benches. It looked like one of the motels that people live at. It looked very dirty and sketchy. My husband went in to cancel the reservation and they said they must charge us for one night. We still left losing $140 with no other place to stay rather than stay there. Later, I looked back at the google reviews that convinced me this hotel would be okay and noticed the 5 star reviews were by people who also gave glowing reviews to many other sketchy run down motels in the area. There is a reason they make you confirm 3x that you understand there is no refund for cancellation when you book.
The room was so humid that our clothes were wet putting them on each day. The ceiling of the bathroom looked like it was going to fall in because of the humidity. Maintenance was supposed to come to our room to help fix multiple things but never did. The front desk acted like they had no idea what to do or who to call when we told them about our concerns and another guest needed to explain to call the manager. The manager said she would stop to check on us the next day and never did. This doesn't even touch on the dead bugs everywhere. It was ridiculous and we were so happy to leave.
This was one of the few hotels during our roadtrip where could park for free. We booked this hotel while we were heading to Washington. The checkin was fast and the staff was absolutely friendly and helpful. Rooms were ok, but they were clean. We arrived rather late, so we just slept, had breakfast and moved on. The breakfast was basic, but ok. There is also a 7-Eleven next to the site, as well as a grill.
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Clean facility all around and very pleasant. I was able to bring my dog and park my horse trailer and the crew was extremely accommodating. I look forward to my next stay!
We got the room with the "whirlpool", it was broken. Mold and mildew in both rooms we reserved. Grimy showerhead. Our door was missing a lock. Coffee maker had no coffee. This is something you'd expect to encounter in a motel that charges by the hour. Not a Best Western.
I booked a room for myself and another room for my elderly parents through the Hotel Tonite App. My room was worn , shabby and dirty. There was also a sleight smell (not a clean one) that hits you when you first walk in. My advice is avoid at all cost even if the price of the room is inexpensive. You get what you paid for!
First the positive: The front desk staff are friendly. Now for the negative: (1) This place is a run-down dump. (2) The rear exit doors are broke so anyone can get into the building, even without a keycard (3) There are literally exposed wires running down the hallways for lighting. (4) It smells of marijuana almost every night in certain portions. (5) Obviously ownership is taking advantage of the fact that government/military must stay there due to location near the joint base, and they are doing nothing to improve the buildings. It's almost better to find a place to pitch a tent and camp than stay at this "hotel".
