Great service and really nice room. The check-in staff were very helpful in letting us know of local attractions. Will definitely stay there again if in the area. It is conveniently located and there are several restaurants nearby. We were fortunate to have really good weather when we were there.
The bathroom was not cleaned well, or at all. Hair was on the shower wall, the sink counter wasn't wiped off well and there was dirt on the floor in the corners of the bathroom and foyer to the room. Yuk! Will not stay there again. No matter how much it costs. Plus, I paid way too much!
overall good experience would stay there again . only complaint the restaurant was closed on Mondays
This hotel is located on the outskirts of Scranton. It seems very new and is very clean. Parking is plentiful. The rooms were quiet, very clean and modern with very comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was OK. When we were there the pancake maker was broken and the was no decaf coffee. The attached restaurant serves a great hot corned beef and cabbage sandwich and fish and chips for a very reasonable price and has an outdoor patio. There is also a sports bar alongside the restaurant. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly.
Clean and very close to Clarke Summit University , perfect spot for family visits and exploring the area with college prospects
Well worth the stay would recommend the Deacons Irish Pub located at the Best Western. Staff very friendly and willing to go the extra mile.
Very happy with our stay. Staff was friendly, good service and food was good at the hotel restaurant. Hotel room was clean and no issues.
Stayed here one night and it was a good option if you need a quick, inexpensive stay. Everything was clean, well-maintained, and breakfast was decent. I know this used to be a different hotel so it's an older building, but it's renovated well. A big thank you to Christine at the front desk for being so helpful after booking.com screwed up my ! Over all, a good stay.
The front desk clerk was friendly and she greeted us promptly on arrival. My wife and I stay here regularly on our travels to Florida. We find the rooms clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast consists of a good selection of hot items and the breakfast serving area is kept clean with staff to monitor.
Very Clean, stayed in a King suite that was very good value, and will stay in that room upon our return as well as in future years. The on site restaurant was closing too early for us this time, but we'll eat there when we return in April
The room was big. The television was large and clear. Had plenty of parking out back. Everything was clean. Staff was friendly. The pool was huge. Coffee was always fresh and hot. Lots of restaurants by the hotel and was located right off the highway.
Great stay. Staff especially helpful. Bed very comfy. Beautiful hotel with all we needed for the night. Will definitely come back again. It was easy to find right off of the highway. Parking was close and seemed safe.
The staff made my two day stay very enjoyable. There were many breakfast items to choose from that were all included. The room was tastefully decorated and many TV stations were offered. The hotel was convenience located near eateries, gas stations, and a supermarket.
Wonderful! Even though I made an error on booking dates, the young lady who was at concierge was most helpful and accommodating! Rooms were clean and comfortable, while breakfast choices were varied and tasty. Thank you!
This hotel stay in Clarks Summit, PA was great! The hotel itself was clean and had everything we needed. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate my family and I, from earlier than normal check-in to rooms together for ease of visiting. The complimentary breakfast was above and beyond! So many choices and great variety and a large seating area for everyone to sit and enjoy their breakfast! The staff kept things clean and stocked. I would highly recommend this facility and will definitely stay here again!
I wanted to treat myself and stay at a better rated hotel than what I had stayed at over the past summer. I've got a king size bed and was pleased to have a microwave, refrigerator, and a coffee maker. The facility was nice and quiet, and I slept very well
Helpful front desk personnel - along with a heated indoor large pool with accommodating steps & rail for entering/exiting. Full breakfast with hot food - eggs bacon sausage kept in ample supply for all. Easy on/off highway & clean rooms.
All the staff, from front desk to housekeeping, was friendly and polite. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Great mattress and pillows! Breakfast the next morning was very good with many choices. Would definitely stay here again.
Having stayed at this hotel when it was under a different brand, I was pleasantly supposed to see all the positive changes and upgrades to what was a mediocre hotel. The staff was exemplary in their duties. Starting with t5he front desk clerk, who was friendly and accommodating , the bartender who's friendly and personable, and the other staff that were helpful and generally nice to deal with. The rooms received beautiful upgrades and were very pleasant. The general feeling was very positive. This hotel is a very nice place for a layover or a weekend getaway, as it is close to many attractions and just off Interstate 81. Looking forward to next year!
Fabulous hotel! Bed great, breakfast good. A special shout out to Jen at the front desk for being SO helpful!! She was very busy but took her time to help get us all set. We will be back! Tullys next door was perfect for dinner.
Rooms are clean and quiet. Air conditioning, TV worked well. Breakfast is excellent and well stocked. Adequate parking with additional parking in a rear lot. Hotel is bright, cheery and in overall good shape.
Staff very helpful and courteous Hotel and room very clean Breakfast excellent had a good variety of food to eat Pool very nice and clean Would recommend this hotel if staying in Clark Summit Pennsylvania
The property was awesome, staff was awesome and very helpful and the food was great. The room was amazing. We loved it. The location in the mountains was amazing. We would highly recommend this property!!!!
We arrived late and the kids were ‘starving.' They recommended the adjacent diner, but neglected to inform us the kitchen was already closed. Walked back to the hotel and drove up to Taco Bell. The room smelled like curry and the A/C didn't work, we spent a sticky night in the smell. Bed was comfy, but surprisingly left me with a backache. Maybe because of the flipping and flopping due to the very stuffy heat. Staff was super friendly and apologized for the a/c. If they weren't so nice, I'd give the experience a 1 star.
Hotel overall was ok - beds were very comfortable - the blinds in our room were broken - did not know upon checking in --- very early the next morning the sun was blinding us at the crack of dawn - last thing we wanted after arriving late the night before - was looking forward to sleeping in a bit but that was impossible!!!
Facility was recently remodeled, very clean and well staffed. Bed was fresh and very comfortable. Exceeded my expectations. Everything was very nice. Why are they making me write more than 200 characters to leave this review though?
Consistently Super clean rooms, friendly, professional staff.good breakfast, great location, well lit parking lot. Very comfortable beds. Excellent shower. Roomy, nice view, bonus laundry room, good restaurant next door "TULLY'S"
Nice hotel, the best Best Western of the three that we stayed at during this trip. Excellent, helpful staff, meticulously clean, comfortable bed. Would recommend for business or en route travel. Thank you.
Booked this hotel to stay one night on our way to Florida. Receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and well decorated. The hot breakfast had a number of selections and the area was clean and tidy. Will plan to stay here again on our return journey. The hotel is located minutes from I81.
I love that it was quiet, they have a strict no noise between 10-8 policy and they do not allow pets! This is the perfect hotel for relaxation. The pool was great and the room clean. While I did not use the gym they did have a selection of equipment. The staff was very friendly.
My family and I stayed at this hotel after a very long trip and we found the staff to be very welcoming and nice. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. I loved the breakfast choices. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.
Everything was super clean and brand new. Grout in tub was spotless. Staff in lobby were very easy to work with. Ability to walk to restaurant (Tullys) next door in the same parking lot was super convenient. Extra parking in back of hotel for large vehicles and trucks was nice. Room A/C and heat was great. The only thing I noticed that was not ideal was that our room (#417, #324) doors didn't always shut automatically all of the way if the door wasn't all the way open when you left. You could feasibly unintentionally leave your room door ajar/unlocked.
amazing stay heated pool amazing customer service clean rooms beautiful showers and amazing follow up i couldn't ask for any better service they were fantastic and helped me remember my sons blanket i nearly forgot it and they called me directly
We stayed at this property while attending a family funeral. The staff was extremely kind to us. We especially appreciated the Hotel Quiet Hours and the convenience of a restaurant on the adjacent property.
The hotel was clean and welcoming. All staff were friendly and professional and did everything we could ask. Room was excellent in cleanliness and size - bed was very comfortable. Breakfast provided had both hot and cold items that should satisfy anyones needs. We will not hesitate to stay there again when we have the need in this area.
We stayed here two nights while attending a wedding. Everything was very clean. Breakfast buffet was modest, enough to eat but would rather pay for a better selection at a restaurant. The pool looked nice but most of the weekend there were roudy, noisy teenagers playing ball in the pool and monopolizing the whole thing. Price of the hotel was high in my view for a small town with not much happening.
My friends and I are enjoying some time away! The beds are comfortable! Great a/c n the rooms! Rooms are well cleaned! Breakfast was awesome! Super selection of foods! Nice friendly staff! Pool looks nice. Didn't get to use it. Close to a lot of places like food and gas stations. Would for sure come back!
Your hotel pool did not have a lift for me to get in the pool which I thought was required by the ADA. Also as stated before your roll in shower did not have a seat we had to ask for the chair for the shower.
Party of 7 with teens in two rooms with queen beds. Book this hotel blindly without even thinking or comparing with others in the area. It's simply perfect. Rooms, cleanliness, breakfast, staff, pool, internet ... everything is perfect. We will be back on our next trip.
Stayed here for a family wedding first room we were put in smelled like mold and dirty feet. We let the ladies know at the front desk and they immediately found us a new clean room. If they would not have handled this immediately we would have left to another hotel so thankful situation was resolved but they should check rooms before having someone check in to make sure room is clean this should never happen.
Hotel was very clean, staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel is conveniently located to many restaurants and shops as well as close to local attractions. I would recommend this hotel for travelers.
It is a very comfortable hotel with big rooms and very clean. We enjoyed also the swimming pool. During the night it was silent, so that we could sleep very well. The hotel is not far from the highway. It was the best hotel during our visit in the USA! Thank you very much!!!
The location of the hotel is great. Easy off and on the major highways. There is a gas station next door if you need snacks. There is a restaurant next door that was fantastic. We walked to a Subway for lunch one day as well. The pool was refreshing. Breakfast was great. We'll be back!
Unit was misrepresented, no utensils for cooking, glasses, silverware, plates, pots&pans etc. no hot water for two nights, carpeting needs a good shampoo, bathroom caulking mildew. Cooking odor, I believe because of long term stays.
Good hotel to just stay in Breakfast is good just not egg patties Rooms where clean and ready for whom was staying in it Staff was wonderful and helped in anything that was needed Overall it's a good hotel
the staff was very friendly. the room was clean and stocked well. the internet was fast. the amenities were great. great service and great location to where we wanted to be. overall excellent experience
If you have handicap needs, this is not the place for you. Beds up to your waist. They give you a 2.00 plastic step to use. Which doesnt work. Their answer to probs are a bit much. Esp if u have to use 2 rooms for a hot shower. They promised us one room with kitchen at half price for next visit. Hubby birthday. Did not get it. We have been staying at this location for years. Should have been comped..but even at half price..wrong room, had a tub that shower chair didnt work in. Had to sleep on pull out. Bar in back all night. Couldn't even share a bed with hubby. If you are on the shorter side, older , esp a senior or handicap. This place is not for you.
New interior , pleasant and helpful staff. Very good overall amenities. Very good breakfast. Close and convenient to Highways ad PA Turnpike. Easy access from all areas. Near a wide selection of restaurants.
My stay at best western wasn't the best. The bathroom in my room was clean. The sheet on my bed had stains on it. They were asking me if I was ready to checkout at 9:00am when checkout wasn't until 11:00am.front desk lady was so rude!
Our stay at the best western plus was horrible. We are already depressed and stressed as we are basically homeless and living in a hotel with our 3 children. We were displaced from our residence on 12/26/21 so we're going threw enough with living in a hotel with kids. The staff called children and youth services on us because they said our children were running around the hotel by themselves running it. Which is a total lie. The front desk staff was very rude and u professional. The pool was broken during our stay. The first room they gave us was still dirty it was never cleaned, so they have a lack of communication for sure. This is a horrible place to stay at. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody to stay at.
This hotel was highly recommended to us, however I think they recommended the hotel to us before the pandemic. Unfortunately they were so understaffed that they couldn't provide any housekeeping. Otherwise the hotel was decently clean, but you can imagine after three nights and a family of four the trash pile up. The breakfast is really bad. And I'm sure this doesn't always happen, but when we were there the pool was closed due to it being broken. I feel bad for these places trying to make it work when they don't have enough people to work for them.
The management of this facility has zero compassion. The entire facility smelled like old man cologne. The breakfast workers silently stared at me while I chose breakfast and ate it which was very uncomfortable. The bathtub/shower looked like it had black mold and was not clean.
Great prices, rooms, very clean place, beds were very comfortable, easy check in and out, and was very quiet. The staff were exceptionally friendly. Everything about out stay was a plus. My family would readily stay again.
Good value for money... Those 2 ladies at front desk when we checked in were very pleasant and proactive... full marks to them.... I would come back and stay for sure.... not to forget the experience at the fitness center was also too good....
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. The decor was cheap. Worst was the bed, which was too high for my disabled wife to climb into, and the ADA compliant bathroom, which contained a shower that reminded me of my high school locker room.
I'm writing this review about a month too late because there was just so much wrong that I didn't have time to write it. I do want to mention first and foremost that this “hotel” has more of the accommodations of a cheap motel at twice the price. We came here as part of a wedding party. Let's start with the fact that the receptionist couldn't figure out whether the room was paid for so they charged us and then voided the transaction, just for us to find out later that yes, we did have to pay for the room on arrival. Ok, mistakes happen, no big deal. Now the room itself is minimally and cheaply furnished (god forbid they have some utensils in the room or an extra set of towels), the bathroom is tiny, the shower had poor plumbing so the water would collect after about 5 minutes, at one point we had NO hot water in the shower, and the “breakfast” is practically non-existent. However, the final straw was the front desk calling us and rudely, without even introducing themselves or explaining the situation, telling my boyfriend “you need to move your car right now or it's going to be towed”. Mind you, my boyfriend had done nothing wrong and was legally parked (oh by the way, they have extra parking in the back, which is not specified ANYWHERE) and some idiot couldn't get out of their parking spot so instead of politely asking my boyfriend if he could move his car, they threatened to tow it. You see, I'm willing to let the crappy accommodations go since we were only there for a weekend and we didn't file any formal complaints (so of course they used that as an excuse to not give us any money back), but I draw the line at rudeness and poor customer service. Do yourself a favor and go up the street to Hampton Inn, it's way better than this dive.
Long Story, My keys were sent home with my parents by mistake so I was stranded at the hotel with a 3 year old and 10 month old I asked for a late check out and was told they do not allow late check out and we would have to leave the property or pay $271 for another night. We were out of the hotel by 3:15 pm instead of the 11:30am check out time. The Manager was not willing to help in any way. In my many times traveling I have never been nor seen a hotel operate this way. I reached out to corporate customer service and they were not willing to help in any way either. I assure Best Western will not get any business from our family again.
After not travelling for the past 18 months, it was a pleasure to stay at Best Western Plus while attending a wedding nearby. The convenience of a restaurant, Tully's, adjacent to hotel was a plus also. No complaints!
Pool was fantastic and very well maintained. Clean rooms and very nice decor. Fast check in and easy check out. I will stay again in the future. Staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you kindly and have a nice day
Don't expect good water pressure, clean towels, breakfast, late check out or anything they have listed on their website! Staff is courteous but not willing to help much. Being a diamond member, I was supposed to get a free upgrade and was told I wasn't able to, also was supposed to be able to check out late and was told no.
Stayed one night with two teenagers and the suite was like an apartment complete with full kitchen and fridge/freezer. Totally appreciated the extra room. Staff was great at check in and check out. Breakfast options were plentiful and staff constantly cleaning.
I was not very pleased with overall reception and level of service provided by the hotel. I had hoped to have been provided with more options to resolve my registration and check in issues but was very disappointed with how things were handled.
This is a basic hotel in an unattractive location in the middle of other basic hotels and fast food places. That's not all bad, except they were charging a rate out of proportion to the experience. Guests were loud and inconsiderate and most were not wearing masks in public spaces, including elevators, lobby, and "breakfast" area. Breakfast was well below standards for comparable hotels.
No hot water! And I dont mean poor pressure or not hot enough. It was just straight cold water. Front desk even said something was wrong. All 3 of us had to take a cold shower. Horrible experience. All we needed was a god night's rest and a warm shower in the AM. Best western plus failed us.
While this hotel is going through a renovation and the finishes appear to be newer, I feel you should know not to fall for the photos. The reasons I cannot recommend this hotel based on our experience include: They have a sign on the front door that says masks are strongly recommended, yet we were the only ones wearing them. Be warned, none of the hotel staff wear them. They were showing a CSI show on the TV in the lobby. Trying to keep my young children from watching the graphic inspection of a dead body while checking in was disturbing. The enhanced clean they advertise does not live up to expectations, there was popcorn on the floor, something sticky on the tile floor and the room smelled funny - like someone had smoked a lot of marijuana in it and efforts to eliminate it have not worked. The guests in the room next to us made so much noise until 1:00 am that we could not sleep. Slamming doors, banging things around, talking loudly. I understand people come to hotels for different reasons, just know that if you're a family looking for rest and a quiet place to sleep while on a road trip, this might not be the place for you.
The hotel is newer than those surrounding it in the same area. However the cost is a bit much for the quality and the simplicity of it. Standard rooms are a bit much and a sweet is way too expensive for what you end up getting.
The reception staff is rude. The room was dirty with stains on the walls. It was loud in the room at night. There is pealing wall paper near the pool, maybe mold? After traveling with my family for two weeks this was the worst hotel.
The hotel advertised a pool & fitness center, but previous to this hotel stay, other hotels have advertised their pool and fitness center and neither was open. I was happy to know the pool & fitness center were open. The only thing I miss is the full breakfasts but I did get a grab and go (water, fruit, granola bar & muffin)
Terrible check in process, not enough towels available for 3 people, standing water in drains causing smell, bathroom not clean, no ventilation in the bathroom area so it was horribly hot, window unit air conditioning, poor customer service.
We stayed to be near in-laws. Room was inexpensive (I may have gotten a deal). Rooms were clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Good location. comfy beds and clean shower. Breakfast was still bagged, which seeemed unessecary. Pool sufficent. Overall for the money perfect for me, spouse and kids. Would stay agian for the same price, which was less than $ 100 per night and went up slightly for the day before July 4th.
The hotel was terrible, it smelled terrible both on our floor and room the entire stay, There lights out in the room the AC was extremely loud as well as the refrigerator. Wall paper in hallway was falling down, No shower pressure. The outside had trash outside the front entrance, one out of two elevators felt very unsafe. They had grab and go breakfast bags but it was first come, once gone they did not replenish. The only good thing I have to say is the front desk staff were very friendly.
All staff were very courteous, friendly, and professional. The room was very clean and comfortable. The perfect room for my short trip to PA. Quick and easy check in and out. I only used the coffee service and the morning breakfast bags. However, I was very pleased with everything. Thank you.
When someone says,"PLUS" it certainly relates to this property. "Off-the-beaten-track" just slightly off of I-81...this IS the perfect stay. Something you and the owner of this property should know...the people make the property!!! From positive interaction with the GM named Michele..to the Housekeeping Manager (rooms have always spotless-clean-refreshing-AND modern with soothing color schemes to a Front Desk staff of people-very special people like Janvee, Ester, AND Sara - ALL receptive, caring, understanding, and sincere we WILL choose this property. WHY??? Modern, Clean, Safe, Inviting, Ultra Clean, Convenient, but overall it IS the staff and GM who earn patron return...a PLEASURE - S. & B. Benyo - Elmira, NY
A OK property. Clean, very well located at Clarks, Summit Poconos Mountains, PA. Good for a night stop. Nothing extra ordinary about it. Even agreeing to the limitations due to current scenario, breakfast can be far better than the cold package which is served. With so many Diners, Eateries around, one could easily enter into a contract for a better package.
We had a decent stay, clean comfortable rooms, great location with three or four restaurants within walking distance (including a Krispy Kreme!) . Front desk staff could use some training on how to be pleasant.
Stayed on our way home from Disney. Got the 2 queen suite, it was huge, clean, and beautifully decorated. Beds were a little stiff, but not terribly uncomfortable. My only complaints are that there is not nearly enough outlets in the room. Also, our tub was draining very slowly. I'd definitely return though.
Great value for the money. Parking lot could have a few more spaces. Absolutely/definitely will stay at this hotel if I'm in the area. Quite, good access to the road, food and fuel options are plenty. Most importantly - had a good night sleep and felt very safe in the area.
Stayed overnight on my way to South Carolina. Check-in was quick and adequate measures against Covid -19 (mask, plexiglass, hand sanitiser) were used and available. The rooms were modern and very clean and the bed comfortable. The usual continental breakfast was replaced by a 'brown bag' breakfast given the pandemic. All around a very pleasant experience, I would definitely stay here again.
While signs throughout the common areas request all guests to wear masks in the common areas, the staff does not enforce this. This makes me question how seriously this hotel and the staff really takes their posted covid-19 safety measures.
Stayed here for one night. I was solo. I booked the King Suite which is a two room layout (room # 503). The bedroom and bath on one side and then a spacious living room with kitchenette. There is also another room off of the living room/kitchenette room that has a full size refrigerator and a spacious closet. I was very impressed with how updated everything was in my room and the hotel in general. I also witnessed some rooms getting a pretty thorough cleaning and sanitizing. I have stayed in hotels with more comfortable beds, but it was sufficient. Also, the kitchenette did not have one glass, fork, pot, etc. Totally empty. I assume this is CV-19 related, so bring your own. One surprise is that there was a hot plate there if you did want to heat something up. I used the microwave. Tully's restaurant is right next door which was very convenient as I had a craving for some veggie quesadillas! Weiss Food market is also walking distance. Did not try their bag breakfast, so no feedback to offer there. A very good value. I would return and I do recommend this hotel.
The hotel is newer and in very good repair. Our king room was spacious and the bed very comfortable (but a word to those who are around 5'4"....you'll have to hop into the bed; it's very high! We couldn't rate the breakfast due to it being suspended by COVID, but skip the 'grab and go' bags--they're awful. That aside, staff were pleasant and the hotel quite comfy. We would recommend it.
This is a great hotel. It is welcoming with a nice lobby. Staff is helpful and courteous. The rooms are great - well the suite was amazing. Would have given it 5 stars if the website had noted that the restaurant was closed due to covid as that was part of the reason we chose it. Also breakfast as advertised was no existent with a bag to go of a tiny breakfast bar, tasteless muffin and a piece of fruit. But even so would stay there again.
Stayed on the top floor. Was at work and the roof started leaking all over my game system. No one ever called me to tell me water was leaking in my room. Walked in my room there was water leaking all over my gaming system. Destroyed and 2 weeks later I still don't have insurance information and the manager Michelle will not call me back. Excuses excuses. I wouldn't trust this hotel imagine if you got hurt and had to go to the hospital. This whole experience has been very sketchy does this hotel have real owners and insurance? Doesn't seem so.
After driving for 10-plus hours in a Hurricane blinding downpour of rain we phoned this BW-Plus and spoke with a Janvee Patel. Let US tell you, after phoning many properties in the Scranton-Wilkes Barre area this Janvee was the reason we chose this Best Western.. Janvee Patel shined not only on the phone but in person as well. The hotel was immaculate! Read on: In addition to our Janvee came soothing colors, excellent lighting, gorgeous-clean-nicely appointed rooms- a nice big television-even the elevator-soothing - rerlaxing--carpeting in halls was even soothing AND EVERYTHING WORKED!!! ...MOST ESPECIALLY THIS LADY NAME jANVEE, WHAT A REAL PLUS!!!!! Steve and Basrbara B. Elmira, NY
Stayed here for 2 nights over the Fourth of July weekend and the hotel was clean, quiet, and the staff was friendly. Room was comfortable, and the quality is as expected for the price of a room. Would stay again.
This hotel was formerly a Ramada but was renovated and became a Best Western Plus on 11/22/19. Let me just say that the lobby area and especially our room were spotless! Could not ask for a cleaner place to stay. Unfortunately the pool is currently closed (maybe due to Covid-19?) and the breakfast currently being offered is just grab-and-go (definitely due to Covid-19). For inquiring minds, the grab-and-go "breakfast" consisted of a pre-packaged pastry, an orange and a small bottle of water...so pretty disappointing, to say the least. The location on Rt 11 North in Clarks Summit is very convenient with plenty of eateries and a Weis supermarket nearby. Lahey's Family Fun Park (mini golf, go carts, etc) is about 10 minutes away, as is the Viewmont Mall and numerous other retail stores. The bed is our room was super comfortable especially after a long day of driving. And we paid an extremely affordable $81 (taxes included) for our 1-night stay in our double queen room. Will stay here again when in the Scranton area!
We stopped into this Best Western while travelling north back to Canada. It's a brand new hotel with spacious and clean rooms. Huge heated indoor pool and within walking distance of many restaurants. It was close to i81 so easy on/off.
Arrived around 7pm and was met by 2 friendly staff. I did not have a reservation but they gave me a great rate(having a Best Western reward and helped. The hotel was very clean and it had a swimming pool and exercise room. The breakfast room was clean and well supplied. The room we stayed in was spacious and the bed and pillows exceeded our expectations. Lots of parking and hotel located in area with lots of restaurants and other amenities. I liked the cleanliness and upbeat atmosphere of the hotel. A little challenging to locate, but worth the effort.
Stayed here this past weekend with my 14 year old son who had a baseball event in Scranton. Staff was very pleasant, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Hotel itself was nice. No hot water! My only complaint. The reason I gave 3 stars. It was pretty cold out and not being able to have a warm shower was not fun. Other than that it was ok.
We stopped on our way to Florida. New hotel, our suite was awsome. Clean, quiet, well located. Restaurants within walking distance. We appreciated being upgraded, staff is great. We will return for sure !
We just spent 2 nights on a ski trip to Elk. This place is amazing! Spotless. Excellent staff. Great price. The pool is even more beautiful than the picture. Only negative was the coffee machine. Highly recommend it!!
The decor throughout the hotel is beautiful at this newly renovated hotel. Rooms are clean, beds are extremely comfortable, and the breakfast options were great. The staff was great and very helpful. They are willing to go above and beyond to help a guest.
Excellent renovation. Totally new rooms and modern touches. It's not a luxury resort It's just a hotel but if you need a hotel in Clarks summit it's definitely worth it to stay here for the price. Going here I could say is ask for a room facing away from the road cuz the road can be a little noisy.
Mason at the front desk is super-helpful and friendly. We love the renovations—everything looks great!! Best Western Plus has become our new, favourite halfway stop from Virginia Beach to Canada. Thanks for a great stay!♥️
Traveling through and had to stay one night- wish I was able to stay additional nights as I had committed to another place that I could not cancel. Rooms are brand new and well laid out with everything conducive to working comfortably and efficiently. The 2 front desk people were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about nearby businesses I needed to contact. Good info on places to eat and gave me a very late check out (3:00) at no charge. Maintenance person helped me clean snow off my car and acted as bellman as well. Highly recommend- only make the all day coffee a little stronger!!
This hotel has been completely remodeled. It looks amazing!! Everything in the rooms has been upgraded. Breakfast roomy area with many options. Really a great hotel! Didn't use the pool but looked in. It's really beautiful. My family booked three rooms and they had no problem locating us next to each other. Will come back in the spring!
Nice place with modern design. WI Fi was excellent and the location was very good for access to RT 81 and PA Turnpike. Restaurants are nearby (Tullys next door was excellent) within walking distance. Will stay there again when I am in the area.
On August 29, my Dad and I stayed at a Ramada Inn in Harrisonburg, VA. We arrived late and called the front desk to search for a pet friendly Ramada Inn near Scranton, PA, (halfway between there and Barnstable) for the following night, (August 30), as we were traveling with our cat. The desk clerk found one in Clarks Summit. He and the website said it was pet friendly, so, I prepaid the room because it was Labor Day weekend and rooms would be scarce, pet friendly or not. We were driving a 16' Penske rental truck, and the Inn at Clarks summit assured us there was plenty of space for parking. We arrived in Clarks Summit about 6 PM on Friday, and had to park the truck in the middle of debris and trash from a poorly managed construction zone, all of which was taking place in and around the Ramada Inn. I carried the cat in to check in and was told by the desk clerk we couldn't stay there with the cat because they, in fact, were NOT pet friendly. And, she went on to order me to “get the truck out of there immediately”. I couldn't believe this was taking place, but returned to the truck. My Dad, 70, and suffering from a hernia and too blind to drive, attempted to climb down and help me back out. He tripped in the rubble and cut his arms and face. By now, I was short of becoming furious. We got the truck out and headed for home because we knew it was senseless to waste time looking for a room. We drove straight through and arrived home at 2 AM. This is more than just an unfortunate incident, as my Dad is a retired union trombonist and has sworn by Ramada Inn for decades. Needless to say, we'll never stay there again.
The hotel was a wreck. The construction sites were not safe. Tools and supplies were laying around all over the hotel. Handicapped spots were being used by construction crews. It was a150 foot walk to the entrance with 2 spots directly in front of the entrance.
Please don't go there. Arrived there last Thursday and would have rather stayed at the Bates hotel. There was construction everywhere. Entrances were blocked and windows missing with no covering. I immediately canceled my reservation which was another ordeal. There main contact line specifically for cancellation said they could not do it only the front desk of the hotel. When asked to talk to a supervisor they refused. I used to ise Ramada because they had a good reputation. Never again. The Hampton next door even though under construction much better choice. Construction was maintained and contained.
Cut rates in half due to construction which didn't cause much of a nuisance. Do not go to Hampton Inn next door. Service is terrible and rates were double that of Ramada and Hampton Inn was under contruction too. For price, quality, cleanliness, tough to beat this Ramada
Hotel undergoing extensive reno to become a BW. Construction debris everywhere. Tripping hazards, airborne dust, general "we don't care" appearance. NO fire evac info in rooms!!! Rear entrance to upper parking unsecured, no pass key / room key required to enter hotel / elevator. In this day & age, WTF??????? Rear entrance double doors partially blocked with construction tools / debris. Fire evac route partially unusable!!!!! Unsafe conditions all the way around. NO mention of the construction on the Wyndham reservation site despite desk clerk claiming there is. Website not updated for some time. The Damon's that says is next door closed a long time ago, is now a Tully's. Really, truly, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!!
