Best Western Plus Ahtanum Inn

This is an exceptional hotel, it is very beautiful, clean, peaceful. I was so impressed from the minute I walked in the lobby, it is like being a guest in someone home. The decor is lovely, and timely! Great reminders for us everyday.

Loved the place quiet..Real wooden doors..restaurants nearby.. Mall within walking distance.. Pet friendly,some semi truck parking..Truck parking available next door... Have fresh baked cookies in lobby..Coffee etc.... Work station in lobby.... Laundry onsite...

It was very quiet and very clean the service was great I will definitely be staying there again if I need to stay in Yakima again and if any of my coworkers need to stay anywhere I will definitely be getting them a room there

This BW was amazing. Clean, friendly, great choices at breakfast, clean rooms. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast area was well presented. We will for sure stay in this hotel any time we are in Yakima. Plus there is an Outback right next to it so we didn't have to travel to have dinner and the hotel gave us a coupon to use at Outback.

The inn was easy to find and we had a good stay. The room was clean and comfortable, and updated with plenty of power outlets. The breakfast was a full breakfast with an omelet bar, waffles, etc. I would stay here again when we travel next year.

Could not get any conditioner out of the dispenser, and just enough shampoo to wash my hair. Had a heck of a time running a comb through my hair. Went to the front desk and got a bottle of conditioner for my wife, and aske the manager to call me. Still waiting, but it has only been 3 weeks.

Had a reservation booked for one of our few staycations that my wife and I take every year. Was turned away at the desk because they don't rent to locals. We found another hotel that would gladly take our money and we will make sure that in the future any out of town visitors that we have will never stay here.

We travel around the country for work and stay at many different hotels. This one definitely stood out. Our total stay was fabulous! Janine at the front desk was incredibly helpful with any questions we asked. The people who made the omelettes and the whole kitchen staff were very accommodating and even made special orders for us. Many hotels are scrimping on amenities because of covid and using it as an excuse. This Hotel offered everything it promised.

Decent hotel for an overnight stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean. We also find it quiet through the night. Breakfast was ok. Hotel is located right off the highway so easy to find and easy to get back on our way the next morning.

This is probably my favorite hotel I have ever stayed at. In three years, we have had multiple events and rented multiple rooms. The staff is on point and friendly. They bend over backwards to make the stay as good as possible. The breakfast is top notch compared to any other hotels I have stayed at with complimentary breakfasts. I literally, never stay at any other hotel in the Yakima Valley. Friendly towards Christians as well which is rare in this world anymore.

I've stayed at my fair share of hotels, and I'd be hard pressed to find a team that cared for their guest's experience as much as the team here did. From the sales office, to front desk, breakfast chefs, maintenance, and housekeeping - everyone went out of their way to make sure our group had the best experience possible!

We went over the mountains for a memorial service in Wapato. It was nice to be able to come back and go hang out at the pool. It was 103 degrees so giving an air conditioner that worked in our room was awesome for our pets.

This is our second stay at this hotel. We love the outdoors swimming pool and the cleanliness. We also enjoy renting the gas grill for a family dinner. We stayed on the second floor as guests with dogs now have to do; probably, because previous guests had let their dogs muck up the beautiful lawn that surrounds the pool area. Sad, the year before we loved being able to slide open our door and directly walk to pool without going down hotel hallways. Mostly, I want to deeply thank the housekeeping who cleaned up our room after we check out. She found what seemed like just an ear bud case… but actually had a $100.00 in it. Today I received a package with case and the 100.00 that I thought was lost. Such integrity! The staff are helpful and honest. Thank you!

On 16 Jun 2023 I and my wife stayed 1 night (1 queen room) on the way home from Kennewick Location excellent, next to Valley Mall & Sea Galley, there are some restaurants about 1 mile. Breakfast super good, omelette bar, and lots of options Beverage station good with lots of drink: coffee, latte, mocha, special tea (I loved herbal mint tea) Special offers from hotel: 10% from Outback restaurant, free appetizer for 2 dinner at Sea Galley, free Apple at Fruit city... One thing, bathroom was tiny, hard to move around even 1 person.

We use this property frequently on our trips going north and south and have never been disappointed nor have we experienced any problems. I would not hesitate to recommend this BW to all in need of comfortable, quiet accommodation.

Stayed 2 days for a baseball tournament and can not complain about a thing. This was our second year staying here and definitely will not be our last. The breakfast was the selling point for me with the variety of options and how good the food was.

I would like to thank Ashton for the excellent service he gave us. He was polite and courtesy to both of us. His knowledge of what we needed was perfect and he was very kind. His sense of humor was the best , it was as if he knew us and we were long time friends. He was the best. The rooms were exactly what we wanted and the cleanliness was perfect. This Best Western was the best I have ever been to and I will definitely be using this chain of hotels again. I would recommend everyone I know to use them. I stayed for 2 days in this hotel in Yakima. The hotel is kind of old but they were very kind and caring on their guests. Hotel is located near shopping malls and it is very accessssssible. Probably since the hotel is kind of old, the floors on my room and on the hallways creaks. But other than that, it was good.

The check in was amazing after a long drive! We had a great stay thanks to Brittney, Jamie, Elena, Martha and Gissell, Thank you! We loved the local pics along the hallways and yummy breakfast in the morning. The custom omelets hit the spot!. We will be back!

Every time I come here they are waiting serve me and my family. Don't miss out on the great service they provide. This property is home feeling on the road even more when you are having a family with you.

I'm a top Rewards Points member & was treated terrible the front desk staff. Bad location to get to off the highway. I wasn't offered any discounts that I get offered at other B.W. stays along the way.

We stayed in room 223, overlooking the pool (no hot tub) and the beautiful kept grounds. The room was super clean and had a Juliette balcony (which allowed us to have our adult beverage outside). The room was very spacious, clean and had a fridge/freezer, coffee mugs (instead of the nasty foam cups), the bathroom was super small. Lobby is very nice, Julie at check in was very friendly, hotel is located next to two gas stations and the Outback Steakhouse. At breakfast we were offered 'to order omelets'....awesome! The rest of the breakfast buffet was lovely too.

I have stayed here quite a few times when I come to Yakima to see family and do related business. I find the place to be well kept and the staff very friendly and helpful. The bathroom is somewhat small, but clean and has the necessary amenities. I usually use the frig. and microwave. The TV has worked well. It was a warm day, but the air conditioning worked very well. The lobby and hallways are nicely decorated and cookies are set out in the evening. There is a coffee, tea, and water bar inside the lobby area.The breakfast area is large with lots of seating and windows. There is an excellent selection and the attendants are responsive. They sometimes offer individual made to order omelets.

Just stayed at this Best Western in Yakima/Union Gap, WA and were overall very pleased with our experience. The hotel staff were very customer focused, especially, Mark, who helped arrange our stay. He exudes and obviously encourages a welcoming and gracious attitude that permeated all we experienced during our stay. Our only negative was the size of our guest room bathroom. It was decidedly smaller than any comparable hotel we've experienced to that extent that two people would find it nearly impossible to be in the room at the same time, nor was it really comfortable to be in it by oneself. It's evident that hotel is starting to show its age and when modernization is called for would suggest that increasing the size of guest bathrooms should be high on the priority list.

This was a great place to lay my head ! I drive for a living so I was able to park next door for 15.00 and walk right over . Room was clean and very welcoming . Will definitely recommend it to someone passing through …

We were in the area to purchase produce for canning. This hotel is very convenient to the produce stands. Our bed was comfortable. I find there are many more TV channels here than most other hotels we've been to. The full breakfast buffet has everything that anyone would want to eat including an omelet bar. We didn't use the pool, but it is a good size and has full sun during the day and evening.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. The property is clean, safe and well maintained, while the landscaping is beautifully manicured. My family and friends have stayed there several times and look forward to staying there in the future. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Stayed at a Great hotel, the staff was wonderful, the room was clean and spacious and bedwas very comfortable providing a great night's sleep, the breakfast(complementary) was great with several hot selections, checkin and out were easy!

Friendly staff and clean rooms. Love the extras like Q-tips, regular coffee cups and extra towels. Breakfast was super good. They will fry you up a custom omelette and there's lots of food to choose from. Kitchen staff was so nice and attentive!

The staff was very kind and friendly. Pleasant stay. This is close to the shopping mall and a lot of resturaunts. The bathroom is very small, that would be my only complaint. Otherwise nothing else to note.

Old and tired hotel near freeway. Traffic noise and noise from adjoining rooms and room above with very creaky floor. Walls between rooms are paper thin. No elevator and noise from people walking by window outside.

The facility is nice, convenient, and the people are great. I really enjoyed the options they had at the breakfast bar, and the other amenities were fantastic. If I had a complaint the view of the freeway was not anything to write home about

Finally! A hotel with a complimentary, full, hot breakfast.With Covid restrictions lifting maybe more will follow suit. Hot & cold cereal, yogurt, waffles, sausage, roasted potatoes, biscuits & gravy, fruit, toast bagels, good cofee, juice and milk. We like the location in Union Gap off the freeway by the Outback and shopping. Famous Miners burgers is walkable.Glad we can count on Best Western to provide a comfortable, safe stay!

Clean hotel with comfortable bed. Hot breakfast, friendly staff good location, fair to better value for the dollar, not much else I can ask for. Across the street from the Outback Steakhouse along with walking distance to a mall and other restaurants.

We stayed here for a few weeks while my husband was training in Yakima. The staff was amazing, very friendly, accommodating, and warm. This might be the cleanest hotel that I have ever stayed in. The dining room, elevator, ice machine, even the walls are obviously cleaned regularly. It was spotless. Just a fantastic experience.

This was a very nice friendly clean place to stay. I would stay here again. I felt safe in this location. close tp town and within walking distance to local stores and food. The hot breakfast was good as well.

Have stayed at Ahtanum Inn twice, and was very impressed during both visits with a lovely, clean, and comfortable room. Staff were friendly and efficient. My dogs were welcome! The price was reasonable, and location perfect for my needs.

At the time of my stay, Washington was under a masking order for COVID. There were no signs to remind guests. Front desk staff was wearing a cloth mask, below the nose, both at check-in and check-out. Breakfast worker was unmasked. Hospitality staff was vacumming the halls, unmasked. Other staff were observed in public spaces, unmasked.

This is a good place to stay in the Yakima area. Nice rooms, clean, and a good breakfast. They have a friendly staff, nice lobby area, and they even have cookies they set out in the lobby area. I've been staying here around four years and have never been disappointed.

This hotel is located near the mall and food options, and right next to a truck stop. The staff was kind, the room itself was nice sized with a microwave and refrigerator and being close to food was a, plus. Their breakfast was one of the better ones I've had at a hotel, which is a huge plus. Plus the price was right. However... The bathroom is beyond tiny. For such a nice sized room you'd think the bathroom could be a bit bigger. I had to stand between the toilet and sink, which wasn't easy, to be able to close the door, which you have to do to get to the shower. The other bad thing is... The bed. It was awful. I woke up hurting each morning. My last stay at a Best Western Plus, the bed was so comfy it was like a cloud. This bed just was super uncomfortable and made sleep difficult. Put new, better beds in and I can overlook the bathroom and would stay again. Considering the price I paid, the stay wasn't bad. Especially the fact that they had a good breakfast included. But the bed situation plus the tiny bathroom will have me looking elsewhere if I'm in Yakima again.

This was a great location..Close to Outback Steakhouse.. Rooms were very clean and the staff was super!! I would definitely stay here again. Beds were great. Breakfast was a complete hot breakfast with a great selection of food.

So, I was debating between a 3 and 4 star rating for this hotel. If I could give a 3.5 I would. The bad: The hotel appearance is a bit.....dingy. The room carpets were not impressive. And the bed was not the most comfortable. With that said: The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was recently updated. And most important to me: The room was very clean upon my arrival.

Booked on a "Stay and Play" golf package...And they neglected to book our round! Golf course was closed to the public on the day we were suppose to golf. Total waste of time...we drove for 3 hours from Brewster to Yakima for nothing. Numerous times we tried to contact the manager to speak with him/her directly. Left our telephone numbers, our email addresses and have received zero response...it has been over a month now.

I travel in the PNW for business, and I primarily stay In Best Western Plus Hotels. The BW Ahtanum has one of the best breakfasts of any BW Plus Hotel that i've stayed at. Lots of breakfast food selections. And outstanding value if you need to stay in the Yakima area for business or pleasure, since the pool and lawn area in the back is very nice, expansive, and relaxing. It's my choice when I'm in the Yakima area for business.

Great stay. The suite we had was probably one of the biggest and best ones. The room opened up to a large grassy area that went out to the amazing outdoor pool. Breakfast was good and better than other best westerns during this reopening phase.

We booked our room at Best Western Ahtanum to meet with some friends who were visiting from another state. We entered the hotel & it looked very nice and clean inside. There were some beautiful wood plaques behind the front desk & above the entrance to the hallway. They were locally made & had a Bible verse carved in Hebrew. They were extraordinary. The room was comfortable and clean.

I have used this hotel twice in the last year to book dozens of rooms for a large group. The staff has always been very accommodating. The decor of the hotel is very cozy and the rooms are clean. I will definitely be staying here the next chance I have.

This is one of the best hotels experiences I've had, especially during this COVID time. Front desk staff and check in was exceptionally efficient! Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast room was filled with options and the server was great.

Not the fanciest, but it was a great stay. Clean & cozy. Overnight attendant at front desk was super friendly & helpful. Great breakfast in the morning & had gluten free options. Decent parking if you have a trailer. Would definitely stay again.

Was there for a funeral, the only good thing is they let us check in early to change for the service. The desk clerk that checked us in was very pleasant and so were the cleaning staff. The rest were not very welcoming. The room was small, expensive and had a bad perfume smell to it. The bathroom was so tiny that you had to walk in shut door just to use the toilet or the shower. the Bathroom was approximately 6' x8' with shower stall, toilet and full wall counter and sink. There are other places that are much better to stay if you are visiting. We are still in a pandemic and at check out the office staff is not wearing masks around the clients. Whether or not you believe in masks it is called common courtesy. Would. not recommend this place or would we stay here again.

I have stayed here before. The lobby has apparently been refurbished; very appealing. Rooms and halls are trimmed in darker wood tones. Rooms and common areas appear spotless. The front staff are courteous and very accomodating. Management has elected to restart buffet breakfast [with attendant]! Free daily local newspapers. Quality experience overall.

Always had prompt service and they were very good at communication. Covid protocols were good and the breakfast was phenomenal for the times. Most try to skimp on that with Covid, I really felt this hotel went above and beyond.

Booking this hotel directly was super helpful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and Covid conscious. The coffee in the morning was hot and fresh. The rooms were clean, orderly and well put together. The location is convenient.

I absolutely enjoyed my stay and its location. Near the freeway without the noise. Will definitely go back to this hotel. There were restaurants, shopping centers and its city center location allowed access to anything in the entire city.

This place has all you need for a cozzy, caring, fun place to spend time away from home. The price is great. The staff are amazing. The food is great. And if you love the Lord, you'll have him in every space you encounter. I have never stayed at a better Best western. Not ever!

Staff was rude.. the charged me 13$ after I checked out and when I called to ask what it was for they hung up on me. This was my 2nd time staying and both times were bad! The first time they gave someone ekes my room and they walked in on myself and my husband.. rude staff.. not very clean.. not professional. Don't stay here! Stay at another best western. I've had no issues at other locations.

Every one of our stays are at best western hotels and we never ever had any problems, And every one has had great people taking care of us. They all do a great job In handling of the Covid problem and all hotels make sure everything Is done by the guidelines they have to follow. We are very happy to be treated so well In our travels.

I grew up in Yakima and it is hard finding a place that feels safe comfortable. Keep in mind this is an average Inn with average prices. You won't be disappointed here. The staff were helpful and nice. The place is clean and quiet which is all you could really ask for. They had staff constantly cleaning rooms so I had no worry about the feel of how the rooms were kept as I have never seen so many staff members in hotel taking care of one place. I also have stayed at many hotel in Yakima as I return here to visit family and worry about the noise and people wandering around the grounds of the other hotels that I have stayed at. This was the first time we stayed here and I felt totally comfortable here.

Very neat and tidy. Great view from our room, quiet and easy to get to from the parking area. Staff is knowledgeable and the restaurant next door will deliver to your room. There is also a bbq place that offers a discount if you show your room card. its also close to all the shopping and the little kitchenette worked well for the late night snack. I will be back. Much nicer than some of the other hotels I have stayed in by Union Gap and Yakima, and the price point was perfect. Next time I need to ask for a few more pillows but that is a personal preference. The bed was too firm for me but again, that is a personal preference.

Not located with the other motels but it is actually a fairly nice place inside. Maybe a little dated but everything worked and was clean. During this time of Covid lock down, I appreciated they served a hot breakfast. You still have to eat in your room but it was certainly one of the better features compared to the competition.

Been staying here off and for the past few years. About 250 nights total. Ive spent the last 35 yrs traveling with my job, staying in motels. This is by far my favorite motel of all time. The staff, rooms, and services are kept at a high standard. I recommend this place to anyone passing through the area. Your gonna like it!!!

My company stays here weekly for an overnight run and I stay here at least once a month. Every time, the service is amazing. Especially when 'T' is here! Thanks team. I highly reckoned recommend staying gets here if your m you're in the Palm Springs of Washington, lol.

Drove to Yakima to look up my grandparents old home and show my grand daughter where we come from. Great stay at BW and the staff at the local library were great. We found the old home and locals informed us the OLD MCDONALD FARM was no longer in Union gap due to the interstate

When traveling a lot it's nice to come back to a friendly comfortable place for my dog & I to stay. They always take good care of us and make sure we are satisfied. Wonderful room for us, makes it worthwhile.

First got here was nice clean room then they locked my keys and left my dog locked in the room next they locked my keys a second time and my man and dog waited in the cold well I went to front desk to fix the situation they could have called or sent a note to our room for the high prices they charge you would expect a cook making omelettes breakfast is not bad but house keeping only came one day during the whole week I stayed they said they felt threatened by my dog and he did nothing even went outside with my dog just so she could come in the room the next time I saw here I put my trash outside the room so she could change it because she passed my room due to the do not disturb sign on door I had to go to the front desk to ask for towels one night dryer does not get your clothes dry very good

Stayed for 4 nights. Only had housekeeping on 1 day. Had to go to front desk for toilet paper, fresh towels, and empty my own garbage's. For $170.00 USD per night I would expect daily housekeeping service in the room.

I stay here several times per month for business. It has quick access to the freeway and is close to many Restaurants and entertainment. There is also a Outback Steakhouse in the same parking lot that will deliver to your room which is nice. It is right next to a truck stop so Tractor Trailers are driving by constantly but the rooms are fairly quiet. Not too much within walking distance but for a good night stay that is close with easy access to the freeway it is a good place to stop and rest.

This Best Western is in a great spot of town to access the highway and shopping. Usually books up so worth booking ahead of time. Close to food and gas as well. All the staff are friendly and rooms are clean with nice TVs.

We stay at this hotel every time that we go to Yakima WA. The service is excellent as is the cleanliness of the rooms and the outside area. The breakfast is great and there are many choices available. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Needed a little get away, my friend and our kiddos needed a break. Super hot the pool was wonderful and clean! Great staff very friendly. Cookies every evening the kids loved! Rooms were clean and we had a suite was really nice with kitchen and utensils a very big plus. Grounds were very nice and clean! I was super happy and definitely going to be back again!

Disgusting! The property pics are a complete farce. Everything is dated & smelled of cigarette smoke. The walls are paper thin, I actually heard the woman in the next room read off her credit card number with total clarity. The bathroom was moldy, the tile had no grout and one of the tiles was missing, and I had to request that someone come in and clean the toilet because it was obvious that the previous guest ate bad Mexican food the day before. The pool is nothing like the pictures shown. It's is so cloudy I couldn't see my feet in the water. The entire property felt unsanitary.. but the good news is, the rash I contracted around my ankles turned out to be flea bites!

We have stay in the same hotel in tx forest hill do not go there. But this place made me smile. The staff here are super in all ways so sweet and helpful. The rooms are clean and kept up. The beds are to die for. Breakfast was good. Pool outside loved it so nice and clean. Not 1 thing was bad. We came for 1 day and night and ended up booking one more just because it was so nice. Thank you staff for everything. We stayed in 119 the first night and 153 the second.

Stopped here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised with this property. Front desk lady was super helpful and efficient. Room was a suite with two queens and a Murphy bed, kitchen that included dishes, dishwasher, sink, fridge, microwave and ample counter space. Large room that fit my big family. Breakfast was good and included many hot and cold options and was stocked well. Truly a hidden gem. We will stay here again.

The hotel is clean and the pool area is nice. The only problem is the rules are so strict here that it takes the fun away. Nothing by the pool except plastic water bottles...PERIOD. You can have food outside the pool area but not a crumb inside the fence. Alcohol of any kind is not allowed anywhere except in your room. Not even if it's in a plastic cup. Don't even think about enjoying the lovely grassy area with your pet. They say they're pet friendly but they're not. They have a little fake patch of grass out in the parking lot where you can take your dog. Other than that your pet will have to stay in the room. They have a security guard who roams the property at all times making sure none of their very strict rules are broken. We'll never stay here again.

We just spent one night at this lovely hotel . The property was well maintained inside and out. The lobby was very nice. The Customer Service was great. Everyone was helpful and friendly and and check in was fast and efficient. We travel with our small dog so we were in a two queen room on the 1st floor with a table, microwave and refrigerator. The room was nicely decorated, very clean and the bed was comfortable. There is a very nice courtyard; however dogs are not allowed there so we could not take advantage of it. The breakfast was very good with a large variety. The location is good; close to shopping and food. We enjoyed our stay and I would highly recommend this hotel when in the Yakima area.

Booked a non smoking room weeks ago...upon checkin, was offered a smoking room due to lack of available with a softball tournament in town. Worst smelling room I've ever been in. Front desk was not accommodating for my kids asthma or allergies. Ended up paying 150 bucks to sleep in my car! If this is how they treat gold rewards members, I would hate to see how they treat non members! Thinking about canceling my other Best Western bookings in the near future.

religious signage right behind front desk, staff needs to learn to word better about how full the hotel was the following night before. know how to use bw travel cards and not charge guest credit cards. noise room doors slam when closing them. bathroom, you have to walk inside and step to one side of toilet to shut the door.

A nice clean place to stay with many restaurants and places to shop in a convenient location. It is close to the highway and has a great deal of parking. The staff is always really friendly and helpful.

We had a quick stop in Yakima. The service was friendly, the room was clean, the pool was outside but warm, and it was close to restaurants and stores. The price was very good for what you get in return. The hotel is older but not outdated. It was actually nice to be in a hotel that wasn't brand new and still had some character. Breakfast was spot on for the kids.

Good hotel for a short stay - convenient to the airport. The room we had was spacious and well equipped with everything we needed. Although a bit far from downtown, this is a perfect place when arriving late, or leaving early, from SeaTac Airport.

They are interested in making sure our needs were met and supported us both in rooming and also our meeting room needs. If you have a meeting and need a site, this is a wonderful option! Good pricing options, willing to work within our budget, and communicative during the whole process. Plus, you can bring in your own food which saves a lot of $$$!

Wonderful place to stay. Staff is very attentive, rooms clean, breakfast yummy! Beds one dreams of. Centrally located. Nice pool (just viewed it and many were using it). The breakfast covers many choices and selections. The food was never lacking and always kept full. If you want a perfect, tasty waffle -- this is your place! Coffee and/or juice person - fill it up and know...coffee's hot, juices is cold. Staff always checking making sure you're doing well. Thank you to ALL the staff.

Everything about it was wonderful! Highly recommended. The pool area was very clean, the place was very quiet even though there were two ball teams there. The service and workers were all very helpful. It was one of the first time's I've ever stayed anywhere where there wasn't something that needed to be corrected.

EVERY SINGLE THING WAS PERFECT - the suite - which was so roomy and perfect - on the main floor that opened up to the pool was lovely - the grounds were immaculate and beautiful. I loved the breakfast with sausages, eggs, biscuits, gravy and MORE was excellent and plenty of food!

Stinky and dirty room, dysfunctional working people, you can hear the person in the next room just about breathing. Cigarette smell in room and hallway. Mold in shower. I was afraid to step on floor without having some kind of shoes on

Had reserved a nonsmoking room and received a room that reaked of smoke. No other room was offered when we complained to the front desk. I was not impressed with this Best western will not stay here again.

Kind and courteous staff. The interior felt like the Northwest rather than California like a lot of hotel chains. I was lucky to grab a room when a group canceled. There were disc golf and baseball tournaments and the concert we attended at the Gorge Amphitheater. Hotels for miles were booked up.

Out family visited for a Kids basketball tournament in May and stayed 2 nights. The hotel is fully booked with so many kids running around. Parking is plenty. Location is close to everything. The hot breakfast is decent, and got refilled quickly. Hot coffee free in lobby. Room is not big, but clean. We requested a top floor quiet room when booking and they honored the request. Kids enjoy the outdoor heated pool so much. The gentleman prepared a full load of fresh/warm towels 20 mins before the pool got closed. Very considerate service!

This hotel is in prime location, the continental breakfast is amazing. Everything in the hotel is centrally located, lots of parking and the rooms have everything you need. Quiet, friendly and great service.

This is a nice, decent place. Reasonable hot breakfast. Rooms were clean and the staff were fast & polite. Internet speed pretty decent. It's right off the freeway in a wasteland of parking lots and idling semi trucks. If you were just needing a place to stay on your drive along the interstate that would probably be a plus; I was in town several days for a conference and found the distance to Yakima city center and the bleak surroundings to be a bit unpleasant and inconvenient. The Bible verses prominently posted on walls everywhere were rather off-putting. Not everybody is a Christian or wants to ruminate on Christianity while walking to their hotel room.

Excellent, everything was perfect, When in Yakima I always stay here, Ihe employes are terrific, the breakfasts are great a nice selection, and the chili in the lobby in evenings id outstanding and coffee cookes and donuts are perfect

Cleanroom awesome staff can't think of a better place to stay in Yakima. Breakfast was awesome and once again the staff was awesome. They want me to say more but I don't know what else to say the room was clean. I love the place can't wait to get back there.

My job puts me in a lot of hotels all over from Canada to Mexico and many others cities. When you're away you miss many things. I had missed a basketball game LA/Houston. My remote and channel list caused me to call the front desk. A knock on my door revealed the nice young lady who had checked me in with a channel guide and instruction how the remote worked. Her name was Lyniece. Not only did she give me highlights of the game I had missed she made an old guy truly comfortable. Wanted to say thanks to the Manager who loved my bus, frontdesk and kitchen staff. I am back at the Ahtanum Inn having breakfast with another Operator right now. My Company loves when we find a great location with room for a bus. My second stay was like coming home.

Had a nice stay at this hotel. Rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. Breakfast was great with many options and was available from 6-10 am. Everything was clean and the staff were nice. There was one problem with my television but they had it fixed in minutes. I would stay here again.

Just stayed one night, but very clean with excellent Outback Steakhouse restaurant next door that would deliver to your room. Breakfast room was roomy with excellent selection. We used two rooms with one being handicapped. While not fully certified, it met our needs.

Great place. We chose the hotel because of their pet friendly description. 100% accurate. We had zero issues checking in, the room was clean, and we loved being able to bring our dog in. I travel for work and have many, many points to use with a couple of hotel chains with Yakima locations. Unfortunately those hotels now no longer accept pets. So I will be staying at this location now whenever I visit Yakima and family. Great breakfast as well, better than most!

A good value for travelers, work crews, and tour groups. The Staff was Professional, very helpful, and don't make faces if you lock yourself out of your room. The room was comfortable - firm mattress, full size bathtub / shower, better TV than I have at home. Good parking for most vehicles and some parking for semis. Convenient access from freeway, but fairly quiet inside the rooms.Breakfast service was very good for food quality and selection.

Nice size room, bathroom a little cramped, the bed was comfortable. Didn't use the pool but it looked clean and it was good size with hot tub. The breakfast was very nice, there was a vast variety of items to choose from. Over all it was a very nice stay.

We were on our back from California and needed a room for the night. We decided to wing it for hotels and landed here as right off highway. The staff were friendly with quick check in. We asked for ground unit with vehicle parked outside room and room was clean and spacious. Outback restaurant steps away which we hit for quick bite to eat. Complimentary breakfast was perfect to start us back on the road. We would stay here again as convenient to highway access and restaurants and shops. Despite being close to gas stations and traffic on/off highway this place was quiet.

We are truck drivers and our truck broke down outside Yakima. When we arrived, the gal who checked us in saw that a service truck from Kenworth dropped us off. She asked what brought us into town. When we explained our truck was broken, she let us know about the CDL rate they offered. That was AWESOME! it was already a rough day, and she checked us in quickly and efficiently. It was so nice to come to a clean, quiet room. I'd reccomend staying here!!

Nice place to stay, right off of the highway. Good value for the money and restaurants within walking distance. The complimentary breakfast is great. We stay at a lot of hotels and this breakfast is one of the best.

We had a quick one-night stop in Yakima en route to Walla Walla, and the hotel we usually stay at was full. So we thought we'd try this one, since we've had good experiences before at Best Western Plus. This was no exception. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was big and clean, and there's an Outback restaurant a few steps away. We will go back next time we head to Washington wine country.

We are a large family and stayed in a suite. It is very, very clean and the beds are very comfortable. We had no complaints the breakfast was good, to wrap it all up the staff are very friendly and helpful.

We read the reviews online and thought this was going to be a decent stay for a softball tournament. The maids could not have cleaned any of our rooms. We wiped the counter down with a wipe and could believe what we found. The hide a bed was filthy with blood stains on the mattress and had no bedding. We will never stay here again.

This was a great experience. The staff went above and beyond to make this a special trip. The room was really beautiful and so comfortable and quiet. The property is very well maintained. The breakfast was delicious. The location is perfect-close to shopping and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at this hotel for the past three years over Labor Day weekend and have always enjoyed our stay. The hotel is clean, has a nice pool, and the breakfast is very good. The staff are all very friendly and efficient. I would recommend this hotel for others looking for a good value in the Yakima area.

How do I describe this place? It's a clean, yet trashy-feeling place. This reminds me of the places I stayed in when I was a kid in the 80s, but something should have changed in the past 30 years. The rooms have been what I would call updated, not remodeled and it seemed fairly clean, but it just felt like somewhere I didn't want to be. The people outside my courtyard door (having a courtyard and a door to it is a plus, I'll give them that) were playing music on their phone and smoking. This seems insignificant, but it is my number one complaint: they asked for my employer at check-in. Why on earth do they want this information? She said "the manager likes to have it." I didn't provide and she didn't force me to, but it is inappropriate. The check-in experience was unprofessional all-around, with them talking to each other and ignoring me throughout most of it, and she was awkward at best. Also, why do you need my license plate number? Do you have a problem with people parking here and then . . . I don't know . . . walking across the street to the mall with more than enough parking? It just felt like they were doing things "because" and not with an actual reason. I would stay here if the price was about a third less, but not for what I paid again.

Great location for an overnight stay during our travel from Idaho to Vancouver Canada. Easy access from highway. Friendly staff. Large area for breakfast which included boiled eggs for non dairy travellers. Not all hotels include this option. Would definitely recommend this hotel for travelers.

If you are not from the area, it can be hard to figure out if your hotel is in a safe neighborhood. This particular BW is far enough removed from some troubled areas. It is clean inside and out, and has friendly staff. The complimentary breakfast was great and made the room pricing a better value. There are definitely cheaper places to stay, but cheaper is not always better! I will stay here again if I get the chance.

I love this hotel. I have been going here for many years. Happy, friendly staff, rooms are comfortable and a great breakfast as well. The pool is always clean, and I never have to worry about finding a pool towel like in some places. Even though I don't travel as often, this hotel is where I will stay.

The price is right, the people were great, the property is well maintained, the room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. Not much more you can ask for. There is a nice swimming pool here that feels really good in the middle of summer, especially nice if you have kids that need to burn off some energy. The location is great too! Plenty of shopping, Outback Steakhouse is literally about 100 feet away, and there are also plenty of other places to eat. The breakfast served here was pretty good. It is probably one of the best ones we have had compared to other places we have stayed. You definitely will not have to go find breakfast. My wife and I were on our way back to the other side of the mountains and this was a great place to stop as a mid way point on our trip. When we make it back this way this is where we will be staying.

I have to say that when in Yakima or nearby towns, this is the only place I'd stay. The people are great, everyone behind the desk is amazing, GG, Jen, Isaiah, Deanne, Blair, and the rest of them Lways make me feel welcome. Jjulie in the kitchen, always on top of it. Very clean and good food. David the maintenance guy right there to lend a hand if you have any problems. The cleaning staff does an amazing job. If your in the area this is the place to stay.

Long hot 3 days of Family, Baseball, & Fun! Arrived early and found out the Room, #of beds, and puppy accommodations were not ready or available. Mgr Blair, staff GG, Deanna, & GM Kelly helped take care of my family, our puppy, & Myself! Blair & Amazing Staff were very patient and took excellent care of all our needs Thru confusion, Sun-burned Family, and miscommunication. I am proud to be a Best Western Member because of top notch people to take care of my family! Thank You Blair and Staff once again!

Hate when you get penalized for being a smoker....But thats what happened. Would rather it was ALL nonsmoking. No curtains so the streetlight made it impossible to sleep. (blinds didnt cut it) The room was kind of tattered. As a matter of fact the mirror frame was falling off in the bathroom. Fridge didnt stay cold. Pillows were lumpy and not one of the ice machines worked at the vending area. Free breakfast was okay...If you want convenience.....this is it. But dont expect bang for your buck.

Stayed here as an overnight stop. Front desk agents were very welcoming and accommodated a slightly early check in. Invited us to park the Harleys basically at the front door which was great. This is a real BW perk for us. Outback Steakhouse across the parking lot was convenient, as is the sporting goods store. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Morning breakfast very good. Would recommend this hotel for sure.

I've stayed here a couple of times when traveling the area on buddy golf trips - The staff has always been friendly and the rooms were clean and well equipped - An outdoor pool and excellent free breakfast menu are perfect amenities for groups of golfers! - Its location is an easy get to many area golf courses and offers up plenty of parking - Discounts for groups are available so no reason not to stay here when in the area!

Travelling to Yakima for a three day two night visit with the family. Normally we need two rooms so I am always looking for reasonable prices. This trip being in the summer we wanted an outdoor pool and I always prefer somewhere that offers a free breakfast. We stayed in one of the family suites. It wasn't actually a suite. It was a large single room. The kitchenette and bathroom were in the middle providing some separation between the area with two queen beds and the living room area which has a Murphy (fold down) bed. There was plenty of room for a roll away bed as well. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes and glassware. This room would allow a large family to cook meals and eat in if needed. The motel is centrally located and within walking distance of the mall and other shopping. The motel is laid out like a horseshoe with a large courtyard containing the pool. The fourth side has a tall hedge which maintains privacy and keeps out freeway noise. The area around the pool is nicely maintained grass, great for playing catch or other lawn games. I wish we would have brought a croquet set. The pool was large and very clean providing the kids with a lot of enjoyment. They have a really good complimentary breakfast. Scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy and waffles. They also had fruit, yogurt, cereals, hot cereals, bread for toast, etc. The breakfast area was plenty big and contained ample seating. The rooms were well appointed, good wifi, comfortable mattresses and easily accessible from the parking lot. If you have children, I would recommend a first floor room as they have a sliding glass door onto the grassy area around the pool. There is enough space between the rooms and the pool to allow for a bit of privacy with the convenience of being right there. The rooms were clean and the staff very helpful and polite. They gave us a free parking pass to go see the Yakima Pippins which is the local semi-pro baseball team.

If you are in this area, this Hotel is ideal. Staff are very helpful, rooms are the usual Best Western standard, all in all, a good experience' In the summer a visit to the Lake Area will require plenty of Mosquito repellent.

Stayed two nights as my son was playing in a local baseball tournament. Was a bit apprehensive as it looked like it needed updating but the room was very clean, customer service was great and the breakfast looked to be quite filling (I didn't partake but I noticed all the boys loved the waffles). I also appreciated the 24/7 coffee/hot water availability in the lobby.

Stayed just one night, got in late with kiddos, found our room and pretty much crashed for the night. The next morning we woke to waffles, sausage, biscuits and gravy, and eggs that were much appreciated as we continued our journey. I really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely come back for another.

i had only two smal issues with my stay smoke smell in pillows and coffee pot was hard to use because it was so close to the upper cabinet otherwise it was a great place to stay and the breakfast was very good

I found the room very nice and livable for our 4 day stay. The lobby was well kept up and the evening coffee and cookies were very nice. I would recommend this Best Western Inn if you are traveling through this area.

We stay at different hotels all over the country and this is one of the best and cleanest we stay at in this price range. Most hotels we stay at if you walk barefoot on the carpet your feet will be very dirty...not this one. The floors and everything are spotless. The free breakfast is hot and keep well stocked and clean by a friendly and polite lady. Want to have an excellent supper without having to leave your room? The Sagebrush restaurant will deliver right to your room...and fast...usually about 15 to 20 minutes. Something needs fixing in your room? An excellent maintenance person will be there and way faster than other places we have stayed. The front desk has a superb staff! Very courteous and helpful and for the time frame that we reserve a room and then check in we usually are taken care of by a lady named DeAnna. We have noticed that not only with us but with everyone she is very courteous and stays on top of getting it right for the customer. We have noticed the entire front desk staff is excellent! We highly recommended this hotel if you are in the area!

We enjoyed our stay here, the breakfast area is very nice and has many options. The staff are great, they even offered a free meal of chili when we arrived. The bed was comfortable and the rooms are clean.

We usually drop by here and set our timing so we can stop at Ahtanum Inn. People and Management are kind and from what I have seen all those who come through and stay there often are all known well and set up ahead of time to make sure they get the rooms they like. . From my view all who come there are happy, my wife and I being so as well.

Our family often stays at BW hotels for Softball tournaments and leisure vacations. We stay at BW because of the free breakfast and decent prices. The breakfast here was substandard for BW. The eggs were gelatinous and the potatoes were rubbery and cold. There was no bacon only sausage. The lobby looked well kept but the decor was a little strange. The room decor was even stranger. It definitely needed updated. The bathroom door had been broken into at some point and the fan sounded like a 747 taking off. Pretty sure I woke the entire hotel up when I took a shower at 6:00 am. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall, the price was pretty average but the breakfast left me very unsatisfied. I will look elsewhere next time I stay in Yakima. The BW on First St in Yakima is no better. I have stayed at many BW hotels all over and this ranks pretty low.

I called ahead and the hotel told me the hotel had been renovated but when arriving at my room the sofa bed was old and very dirty. The train woke me up twice at night and the wind coming through my sliding glass door was loud. This was a frustrating experience. When I ask the front desk they said the room had received new carpet and paint and the train tracks had just been fixed so the train going by was new.

Came to Union Gap for an event, I'll be back for my own pleasure. I had a queen suite and it was everything I needed and more. My girlfriend said it was bigger than her first apartment, including the kitchenette. I'll definitely ask for this room again!

This is our favorite hotel.we have not been totally satisfied for a very long time at this location. We like the staff and management of this location better than any of the Best Westerns that we stay at.

stopped at the best western ahtanum because of the good reviews on trip advisor. The walls and floors are not sound proof. You can hear everything in the room above you and all the hall noise comes right through the door. Very disappointed with the stay. If sleep is your goal, carry on.

My family and I stayed at this hotel during our recent visit to Yakima. Very clean, internet was great, breakfast was better than most and their suite was perfect for our family. We were even helped with loading our items by 2 staff members, during our departure. We will continue to stay at this property when in the area.

We always have and excellent stay. We travel to Washington every 12 days. We drive a Semi Truck from Georgia to Seattle every 12 days. We have been staying at the Best Western Every chance we get for a break from the truck. They have wonderful beds. You get a excellent nights sleep. With no noise and are convienent to the shopping mall. And Outback Steakhouse is in parking lot.

Pet friendly and incredibly clean! We stayed during winter but the place was cozy and no drafts. Breakfast was a bit salty but no worse than most other hotels with the serve yourself food. Beds were comfortable.

Stayed here over Christmas, the room smelled musty and toilet didn't work well. Bathroom was to small. Cobwebs in the lamps and room didn't feel real clean. Breakfast wasn't really hot or fresh tasting.

Nice, large and convenient, this was a pleasant stop in Yakima on our way to Leavenworth. We've been impressed with BW's overall rebranding during the past few years and this was no exception. The interior, particularly the woodwork and vintage photographs, has an appearance of quality that harkens back to an earlier time. We were especially impressed by the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. We stayed Thanksgiving night on our way to Leavenworth. The quality of service on holidays can sometimes be compromised, but this was not the case at all. Everyone we encountered was helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was delicious...including the festive addition of pumpkin pie and whipped cream!

This was an acceptable hotel and I really enjoyed the décor. It was a bit older but it was very nicely maintained. I will definitely keep this Best Western at the top of my list when I travel to Yakima again.

Nice Place for the value. I was surprised by the friendly staff and the room size. The location to shopping is good and services were great. i would and will stay at this place again. I had a baby and a 5 year old and the room was plenty big.

Rooms were clean and tidy but when team talked in lobby the front desk staff were rude. When asked to open the eating area so as to move away from the front desk we were refused even though the girls were not at all out of line sitting in the lobby.

I had another great experience staying at the Best Western Pus Ahtanum Inn! The staff always greets me with a smile and is helpful with any of my needs. They now offer room service from the Outback Steak House located nearby. I do not use this service but it could be very beneficial to young couples with small children or guests who just don't want to leave their room.

The hotel has been remodeled from an older one. The walls and ceiling are very thin and the noise from other guests is loud. The beds are getting old and not as comfortable as some places. The location is good for the wine country.

This place is very clean and has the best staff. We enjoyed the morning brunch. Our two dogs were very happy with their stay, too, and when greeted professionally and quickly by check-in staff, they each got a big doggie biscuit! They have a beautiful outside pool and an exercise room. Every single staff person we interacted with cared about our experience and were proud of their hotel. They all looked professional, too

Arrived with a clearly marked 'Prepaid' voucher from American Express travel. A young man and an older woman were at the desk and were completely stunned with my voucher. The young man then stated that my credit card was declined, he gave me a credit card# I had never heard of. I stated that there is no cc# as this is prepaid. They were totally unhelpful and insisted that I pay again. At this point another gal intervened sensed my frustration, made some calls and by the next morning the voucher was accepted and we were good to go. What a nightmare, three trips to the front desk with the completely incompetent older woman and young man, Alfonso? The pool advertised was not open and the hot tub is non existent, the breakfast was terrible. We had a suite,the room was great.

My sister and I booked a room at the Best Western Ahtanum Inn as I've stayed at the Best Western in Everett and the Best Western in Liberty Lake in the past three years and had very good experiences and the Best Western Plus Ahtanum Inn is no exception. I was impressed with the friendly staff, clean inviting rooms, and the delicious breakfast that's included.

Everything met my expectations, it was clean, pet friendly, in a great location and I really enjoyed my stay and would defiantly stay and recommend to everyone it was very enjoyable. The value was good for me due to a discount I would probably not want to pay that much if I had paid full price but the cleaning people and staff were top of things. I was very pleased.

We stayed here with a large group in town for a youth softball tournament. We do several travel tournaments each year and reserve blocks of rooms so the entire team and families can stay at the same location. It isn't unusual to feel as though the staff at the hotels we stay are 'tolerate' our team - a group of 12 year old girls- no matter how well behaved - seems to put many on edge. This Best Western, however, made us feel welcomed and happy to have us. The manager at the front desk was so super friendly - and in just the two days that we were there, she had come to recognize most of our group and greeted us warmly when she saw us. This is a nice place, slightly older facility but very well maintained. Clean. Great location. Great value for the price. The best western plus Ahtanum inn did an excellent job in serving my needs. It was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very complete and well displayed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I felt that the cost was very good for the service I received. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who asked.

This Best Western is large and in pretty good shape although getting a bit tired. The rooms are nice but aren't upscale by any means. Tough to find a King bed anywhere. The breakfast area is very large and nicely appointed. The breakfast however was meh. Scrambled eggs, sausage, gravy, potatoes, everything you could want almost... except something healthy. Would have been nice to have some plain yogurt and chopped fruit or berries. Front desk staff was busy when I was trying to change my stay length and I stood there for at least ten minutes while one clerk booked a room for someone, the other answered the phone when clearly I had been standing there long before the phone rang. Not too cool.

We stayed here on our way to the North Cascades. Though we had to ask for another room on account of the first on smelling from a smoker, the hotel was accommodating and nice. Actually, the second room I was given fit the preferences I had asked for when making the reservation - the first room didn't. Maybe they really don't read what you asked for in a room ? Anyway, great stay, warm cookies. (This is getting to be quite the thing at a lot places but, this hotel also had hot chili - who'd a thought !!) Good hotel - Outback out front.

We have stayed at the hotel many times over many years and have watched it improve each year. The staff is more friendly and helpful, the cleanliness and condition of the hotel has continued to get better in the past few years. The breakfast rooms have improved also. The decor has improved also. It is not difficult to understand why this hotel is our favorite.

Had to wait almost 45 minutes to check in because they said my room was not ready when I arrived although multiple others were able to check in while I was waiting. Had to call the front desk about the Television as it would not come on. The door to my room was very hard to open and close and any time someone walked by my room in the hallway, I could hear there conversations.

The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast was good, the beds are comfortable, the pool is small but lovely (seasonal only, we were lucky to be here the last few days it's open until next spring!) The exercise room is small but well-equipped. The suites are roomy - the regular rooms are comfortable but the bathrooms are tiny! It's just off I-82, convenient but noisy. Overall a good place to stay.

It was so comforting to have everyone in our group (11) happy with our overall experience. We were all treated so kindly and felt welcomed. The breakfast is the best we have come across. Thank you to all the staff. We sure wish there were more of you in our travels locations.

The staff at the Best Western in Yakima were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. I was especially thrilled at the quantity and quality of gluten-free breakfast options available upon request. Everyone, from the front-desk staff, to the cleaning staff were very kind and helpful. I will definitely stay at the Best Western in Yakima the next time that I am in the area.

Great place for weary travelers greeted with smile warm words and chili in the lobby that made for easy adequate dinner. Nice bed and room. Variety at breakfast and cheerful manager checking on folks. A little south of town with easy access and parking.

Our last night in a hotel after a long day and long motorcycle trip. Chose this hotel due to proximity to several eateries. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff were very friendly and helpful answering questions about local area. Room was decent size and well appointed, but for several other reasons we found it unsatisfactory. We discussed this with front desk and were offered a couple options to make the situation right. We accepted another room (upgraded) but given the late night and early morning departure were unable to really enjoy it. Explained to staff at check-out what had happened and they once again apologized for the situation. Was contacted later that day by the hotel manager to again apologize for the inconvenience. These situations happen if you stay in enough hotels. Its the final outcome that ultimately determines whether or not it becomes a negative or a positive. This was a positive experience despite the room situation. Staff and management were very professional in how they handled the situation. Great Customer Service. I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

We arrived from Mt Ranier NP around 5.30 & thought the property, location & area in general didn't look that great initially. However the property is deceptive. Our room on the second floor overlooked the pool & outdoor barbecue area, which was a pleasant surprise. The check in guy was very nice & we were offered donuts & the coffee is readily available 24/7. The room was a reasonable size but the bathroom was tiny, although it did have countertop space for bags etc. A/c was fairly noisy but bearable. There was a fridge & microwave. It was a quiet location to sleep. The public areas were very nice & there were great choices at breakfast. Open wi-fi was stable. It is right next door to the Outback Steakhouse & the mall. No complaints.

Room was big and clean, nice interior courtyard with pool. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Pet are allowed, but no real place for them to do their business. Surrounding area not all that nice, next to truck stop and behind an Outback steak house. If you need a place to crash after a long drive this place works just fine

Every year five of us that worked together visit The Yakima area to get sunshine and visit garage sales. This was another productive year of wonderful sales. Staying at the Hotel was perfect and this year marks the tenth year. Even though a state high school volleyball tournament was in progress and many teams were at the Hotel, it was quiet and comforting. It is located close to a mall with great shopping and good restaurants. The only downfall is how do we get all of our newfound goodies into our car to take home.

Close to the mall and restaurants as well as work. The two story hotel has cramped bathrooms but family friendly. A wonderful courtyard and outside pool. It is behind the Outback Steakhouse and had plenty of parking.

I can't believe how wonderful this Best Western is. The staff has been incredibly gracious. Gigi and Tracy both made me feel like family. The decor of the hotel is great-- no boring watercolor paintings as most hotels have. This place has cool historic photos of the area. I actually stopped to look at and appreciate them. Also, this place has a GREAT breakfast buffet. My husband was in heaven! I'm 100% satisfied with this hotel, and I'm a tough critic :)

Everything was good, ran out of sausage and the bed could have been softer, but the price and location for the amenities is really good. Had a nice pool and wonderful staff.We met a lot of nice people that were traveling through. Good location for wine country.

Very clean nice rooms. The staff was very friendly. And a big shout out too DeAnna at the front desk she made our stay here the best. We had a mix up in our reservation on-line and she corrected right away with a big smile. The people at this hotel take pride in what they do and it shows when you walk in the front doors and the surrounding court yard and pool.

We stay here two times a year and one is a holiday. Always good service and helpful. Never have had any issues here in the last 8 yrs. Pool is always clean and family friendly atmosphere. We will be back next year.

My daughter had lost a very sentimental bracelet that her dad made her. We lost it at pool area we searched and searched for 2 days with no luck. at check out time we had left missing signs hanging at front office and pool area with contact info. Someone had turned it in to front office and they sent it to us right away!!

The hotel is very well maintained and staff was very polite and professional. I would recommend the hotel with the exception of the pillows bring your pillow. Hotel pillows are not the kindest on the neck and back.

People go out of there way for us and others there. People are smiling and staff love working there. Everything is always clean and there is plenty of Parking. We come here to buy fresh produce to take home and stay over night here as the owner of this Best Western is on top of things and makes sure all is as it should be.

My wife and daughter stayed here with our Pet for my daughter's medical school event. The customer service was rude to start with and she was forced to sign an agreement that she cannot leave the pet in the Room, and if the dog barks, will be handed over to animal control, versus calling my wife. We do travel and stay at many Hotels with our dog and this is the first time ever some one say this adn they call themselves Pet friendly. I wasn't there else would have immediately walked out found another better Hotel. My wife had no options other than to stay here and hated every minute of her stay. First thing she had to do was to foind a Pet boarding place. We are glad she found a good one. I wouldn't recommend to stay in this Hotel unless you have no other choices.

The exterior of the property does not do justice to the place. Crown moldings, variegated room ceiling textures and pleasing historical prints make this place a pleasure to visit. Front desk staff is much friendlier and better trained than on my previous visits. Breakfast quality is superior to other Best Western and other major flag competitors. This is so very close to a 5 rating for me. The hotel cannot escape its location immediately south of a major eighteen wheeler truck stop. Nothing unpleasant in the least. Noise does not seem to be a factor. I recommend this place without hesitation,.

This year, 2017, they changed their pet rules. Pets are not allowed in the court yard where all the grass is and they can't be in a pool side room. Only place to walk with pets is outside the complex on the cement or next door at the truck stop that has a small fence pet area.

From the outside this Best Western looks like it's an older hotel and not very accommodating. But inside this hotel is very clean with some of the most respectful staff. I really enjoyed the breakfast because it was one less expense and unlike some places the food kept coming, they never ran out. I especially like the waffles.

Room air conditioning was a bit cold and could not be regulated to our comfort level, but we pulled up the covers in bed and slept comfortably. The breakfast was wonderful. We enjoyed our one night stay in Yakima and even considered looking for property to relocate to the area. The Columbia River and the Yakima River are beautiful and we look forward to returning.

Nice and quiet stay. Good rate, spacious room, good breakfast and easy on/off freeway. A shopping mall is very close by and you can pick up anything you need without having to drive too far. A large variety of restaurants nearby.

We stayed in the queen suite. Lots of room, pool side, great beds, large fridge. Our only problem was no fault of the hotel but the people above us had VERY heavy feet and allowed their children to run nonstop, and throw things over the balcony. Otherwise, a very nice stay. Close to shopping and dining as well

We are frequent BW customers. We were very happy with this location. The ease of accessing the interstate was great and the retail spaces are within walking distance if that is something you need. We were very happy with our room, it was quiet at night and very relaxing in the mornings. We had pool views, but that did not bother us and the swimmers were no bother either. Lots of space in the breakfast area. The only negative, was that the 2 Queen bed room has a very small and tight bathroom. Use the extra mirror in the room space if you are able too, otherwise it is really one person at a time. You can easily open and close the door while on the commode. Don't try this if you have long legs. Will stay here again, but get a King bed room.

We hosted our annual board meeting at this facility and the staff were extremely helpful - bending over backwards to ensure that we had a good experience. The breakfast included many options and was delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel!

Hotel is always clean. Beds are comfy. Amenities very close by. Pool is great as well. The staff always go out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. The breakfast is better than most and there is always hot coffee and tea available 24/7.

Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus Ahtanum Inn in Yakima. Great location and close to a few restaurants. They have an awesome spread for breakfast- eggs, sausage, biscuits, waffles, etc. The breakfast attendant, Tracey, was amazing! She was upbeat, smiling, and super helpful. Every time anything got remotely low, she already had it replenished. I'd stay here again if I was in the area or passing through.

Great staff, clean room, but awfully cramped bathroom without safety grab bars. Also short on usb ports for electronics. A tad high priced for area, but probably in line with other inns in Yakima. Unable to redirect cold air from HVAC away from the bed - quite chilly all night! Lovely pool.

I stay here a lot and it's the best value in Yakima, Always a clean room, good internet, my only wish is that the breakfast had more fresh fruit options, but it is definitely a better breakfast than most...Scrambled eggs, link sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, waffles, muffins, apples and bananas.

Typical Best Western. We had a suite which is a bedroom that connects to the living area by a galley style kitchen. The bed was comfortable but the living area could have better furniture. The breakfast was usual BW...wish they would provide higher quality fruit and pastry. The pool was very crowded while we were there. We were unable to use it as a large family took it over including all of the lounges. The front of the hotel was strewn with litter. The front desk staff was fine and housekeeping did a good job. All in all not the best value.

From arrival, friendly staff welcomed us. The rooms were well prepared. The layout of breakfast allowed multiple guests to access items without a back up or wait, and the breakfast room was spacious providing plenty of seating.

We stay here every time at least once or twice a year because of the location. It is right in the middle of everything we go there for. Pool is nice, would be nice if they changed out couches, they are not very comfortable to sit on. Beds great.

This is a well located hotel near restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The staff was very pleasant and helpful in accommodating my request and offered me an upgrade for being a points member. The fitness room is well equipped and spacious.

A very good location. We have never been to Yakima and the location was great. The hotel is next to many restaurants, stores, and things to do. Their is a Outback restaurant 200 yards away, so that was nice. After dinner my daughter and I caught a Pippen baseball game, good times.

I've been staying at this Bestwestern since 2000, and I must say it's always a pleasant experience. I would and do recommend this to anyone who needs to take time to relax in one of the rooms, the pool or visit one of the many sites or wineries in the area, you will enjoy your stay.

The friendly staff were welcoming and really made our first experience to the area a great one! We stayed in a suite and it was perfect for our family of 5. We had a nice balcony and were able to watch fireworks from our room. When staying in the area, I would recommend eating at Miner's restaurant not far from the hotel. Just be careful, their portions are huge!

The location was great with The Outback Steakhouse and a gas station in the same parking lot. Very accommodating with safe motorcycle parking. Very clean with a great breakfast. Quick easy access from Hwy. Will be back.

Stayed for a week. Decent space to walk the dog, doggie bags provided at 2 stations. Unfortunately the large, fenced, grassy courtyard is off limits to dogs, but understandable - lots of kids playing out there. There is a small, shady dog park within a 10 minute drive next to the Humane Society and Arboretum. Suite was fairly large, although oddly arranged with the sleeping area closest to the door, and only a half-wall for separation. Living area furniture was very dated, but serviceable. Galley "kitchen" could have used a full size fridge instead of a mini, but dishes and utensils were provided. The microwave was dated 1993, so the appliances haven't been upgraded, but they were spotless. Breakfast was ample, nicely laid out, and the attendant kept it clean and stocked. Easy access right off the interstate, but still pretty quiet at night. Across the street from the mall, restaurants, etc. Grounds well maintained, parking lot well lit at night. Felt it was a little pricey.

Have stayed here for the past 4 years for our Annual conference. Great service, clean rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Recommend site highly. Will stay here in the future as long as our conference stays in the area. Another conference scheduled for next year.

We were part of a wedding party staying for three nights in three rooms: 237, 245, 247. The most disappointing thing was the extremely small size of the bathrooms. They could only accommodate one person at a time directly in front of the sink because the toilet took up the remainder space between tub and counter. They were NOT convenient for everyone getting ready at the same time. These were the smallest Best Western bathrooms we have encountered. The air conditioner system control was disconnected from the wall unit and was re-routed through a small temperature control box on an adjacent wall. This should have been explained at check-in or a notice placed by the unit or temperature box. In two of our rooms of 8 adults, they never saw the small box and resorted to unplugging and re-plugging in the units to keep from freezing & overheating. We were on the courtyard with the pool. There was a lot of noise from the people using the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful & the breakfast was good, If only the bathrooms were larger...the one thing they can't fix!!

Great place to stay. One of the few hotels in the area with an outdoor pool. Very close to many wine tasting rooms. We stayed in a suite which was very nice. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is large. Very clean room!

We did the Golf Stay and Play with Apple Tree and the hotel staff was exceptional about calling me ahead of time to confirm my stay and that we needed to pick up our golf package prior to going to the course. Great round in the morning and relaxing afternoon at the pool.

In a diverse city like Yakima, you might want to hide some place during the night and feel safe; that's exactly what we did and how we felt at this hotel. Though not perfect, the laid back vibe and beautifully kept exterior and interior of this hotel proved to be vital to our comfortable experience. The staff were very well maintained, professional and helpful. A young gentleman who goes by the name of "Zaya" had fulfilled all our needs, and informed us about all the benefits that came with our room and, according to my daughter, was dressed very nicely and is, "A sight for sore eyes." Gigi, who seemed to be the head honcho of the group, was super helpful and made us feel like we were back home. She gave us directions to restaurants and even gave us recommendations. The breakfast was wonderful; one of the best breakfasts we've had at a hotel. My son enjoyed the waffles, though he is more of a pancake fanatic. All in all, the experience was fantastic; the pool was soothing, the courtyard was well kept and the area around was convenient, as we did not need to travel far to shop. We could not get a chance to see the manager at this establishment, but judging from a great staff, I'd say he or she makes a very fine one at that. We may be planning to stay at this hotel again soon, should we be coming back down to Yakima, that is.

Tracey as amazing, I have Celiac disease and when I asked if the breakfast potatoes were gluten free she informed me that they were not, but she would see what she could do. She showed up at my table with a tray of gluten free offerings that included gluten free oats and several varieties of breakfast/snack bars that I could have without having to worry about getting sick. Kudos to Tracey she made my experience much better and I will return to the Best Western, Ahtanum Inn whenever I take a concert a the Gorge Amphitheater!

They upgraded my room and I just love it from a standard room to suite. The room was very clean and newly remodel. I had my dog with me and she love this hotel to very clean potty spot and she get a cookie before bedtime and at check out.

While the outside may look like a big motor lodge, the inside is quite cozy with an old-fashioned feel to it. Pros: Rooms are clean, staff is very friendly and helpful, and it's near plenty of restaurants. Cons: The bathrooms can be a little narrow and the breakfast is just...okay. Additional note: Not to knock TripAdvisor, but it's best to book with the hotel directly to avoid potential check-in complications.

This was a last minute reservation as we traveled to Yakima late in the day. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly in booking our room. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little tight for getting in and out of due to the opening of the door being very close to the toilet and adjacent sink/counter. This wasn't much of an issue, just a little awkward. The bed was a little firm for our liking, but had clean and comfortable bedding. The room and hotel were quiet, with no observable traffic noise. Overall, the stay was very good, especially for a last minute reservation.

I just finished another week staying at the Best Western Plus Ahtanum Inn in Yakima. Another enjoyable experience. I have been staying at the Best Western Ahtanum Inn for 17 years. I stay one week a month on business. Even though the staff has changed numerous times over the years, I always feel welcomed and appreciated. They are always improving the overall appearance and amenities of the hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay to anyone. Please just leave a room available for me!

This hotel was quiet, clean and comfortable (no traffic noise even though not far from the freeway).. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was a full breakfast buffet included which had a full array of hot and cold breakfast items.

This was one of the better hotels we have stayed at in Yakima. The area was great and close to a lot a things. They had the pool open May 1st which is a huge bonus when traveling with a basketball team. Friendly staff and very helpful to make our stay comfortable. Large suite rooms with a kitchen. Great stay!

It was peaceful, Staff were kind and cheerful. I liked opening the sliding glass doors and seeing the nicely kept courtyard with the birds bouncing around on the lawn. It was quiet and one could just rest their mind. Great Food around the area and over-all the area of people were kind and polite.

I love Best Western Hotels, I have spent 80 plus nights this year at various Best Westerns in California and Washington and will stay no where else if there is a choice. Try it- you'll agree. Oh, and the breakfast is as good as any breakfast you would go out for. Try it once and you'll be a customer for life

The stay was awesome and the staff was helpful. I would suggest getting a poolside downstairs room so you can walk straight to the pool through the beautiful courtyard. I had a great stay even though it was just a trucking buiseness run

This best western plus is one I've been too several times and would return. The front desk staff is very friendly. The bathrooms are small but beds comfortable and the rooms very clean. Grounds were well kept as well. Their location is fairly convenient too. Having stayed consecutive days it would be nice if they switched up there breakfast and had a few "healthier" options, although this would not prevent me from returning as everything thing else was very good.

Nice hotel, close to shopping and restaurants, easy access to freeway, but did not notice any road traffic noise others have mentioned. Had booked online and did not realize I had booked a smoking room. Really nice lady called the morning of our arrival to confirm that is what we wanted. I was very thankful she had done so since that would not have worked at all. Asked for extra towels and they brought 4 floor mats instead. Not the first hotel to have done that though, so it must just be us.

I have stayed at this location for over 15 years and they are constantly improving the facility. Over the years they have redone the lobby, added a huge breakfast room, redone all the guest rooms. The staff is consistent in their service. Very nice breakfast as well as pleasant servers.

Walkable area, close to acceptable restaurants, shopping, location and good sidewalks allow exercise and walk-to options.

I am staying for a few months. Some coworkers here either had their vehicles broken into or they have had someone looking around their vehicles in the early morning or late night. We have found out they had break ins before and have done nothing to improve the situation from happening again. We have had confrontations with the front desk about hotel bills too. I would rate this hotel average maybe lower if it doesn't improve. I believe it mainly the management not the front desk people.

We had to make a unexpected stay our son had had his last mile in the car seat. The staff was very friendly and made our stay injoyable. The breakfast was amazing. If we ever need a hotel in Yakima again we will defenstly be back.

Whenever I am in the Yakima area I try to book into this hotel. The room had a very comfortable bed, fridge, microwave and a nice love seat. It has been recently remodeled with room with modern useful amenities.

We appeared in Yakima accidentally and have to stay for night somewhere. And here we found one of best western's hotels. Firstly,the design of the hotel is convenient seems like wooden. Second, of course the attitude of front desk was absolutely pleasing. I can calculate a lot of good things about this hotel but stayed just for night. The room, conveniences of the room, the view, the garden, the cleanness, the bathroom,the bed everything was high in the level. Thank you all Because we had the rest that we really needed to have!

Stayed here for a school event. We were impressed with how clean and new things seemed. Unfortunately several of the newly remodeled rooms don't have everything hooked up. That should improve in time. Great front desk help and a decent breakfast top everything off.

We reserved a room through Priceline. We tried checking in at 1440'' but no rooms were available. The room they gave us was a smoking room with which we are allergic. The assistant manager said it wasn't up to them it was up to Priceline. She refused to give us another room or a refund and went about her business. At 1500' we asked for a room and they said the rooms were not ready yet. The assistant manager couldn't say what a time a room would be available. She didn't know if it would be 1600' or 2100'. She had a flippant attitude and was very rude. We called Priceline and they spoke with the assistant manager who reportedly refused to authorize a refund. They said there was nothing they could do. We spoke to the manager about the contact with Priceline and she said it was past the refund period and she acknowledged she refused to authorize a refund. She also threatened to ask us to leave (which she didn't do because she probably knew she'd have to authorize a refund.) We left a VM with the manager and spoke to Best Western customer service. They also spoke to the assistant manager who refused to authorize a refund. He said he managed to convince her to call us if a non smoking room became available. She did call us about 1630' or so. She refused to apologize. We will avoid this Best Western in the future and all Best Western hotels if possible.

We enjoyed our overnight stay, though our neighbors talked loudly until late and then started back at it at 6 AM. The breakfast buffet was good with a nice variety, we even got to visit with a 14 week old Cougar cub who was here for the fair. Pillows were too puffy for me, but my wife thought they were wonderful. We would stay again.

First time staying in Yakima, attended Sprint Car Dirt Racing. Great hotel, location perfect. Very clean property, helpful staff. Nice to see they support local racing with a great racers discount. Next to mall and Outback Steak House.

stayed here again for another softball tournament , great service from the start as you walk in , got a late check out . the breakfast is the best of a motel . The poolside courtyard area is a bonus -- all the lower rooms open up to it

We stayed here one night and it turned out to be a typical Best Western. Clean rooms and reasonable prices. Our first room reeked of smoke even though it was a non smoking room. They moved us and the second room was fine. Good breakfast with a good selection of items.

We were traveling through Yakima so this was a good place for an overnight stay. A well k[t facility, caring and interested staff, and nice breakfast. Quiet room and close to the freeway, no real noise however.

This hotel had very friendly staff, very clean and great breakfast! Would stay there again for sure and would highly recommend others to stay there as well. Only negative was the elevator was out of service and we had to carry out luggage up the stairs.

When checking into our room, we were greeted very warmly by the front desk staff. They were kind and caring and asked how we were doing after our long car ride. I could tell that it was more than just the cursory "hi, how are you", that sometimes happens. The young lady was smiling and seemed genuinely caring about us. I had asked during our reservation process to have two rooms in close proximity and on the main floor, since I was traveling with my elderly mother. She verified that we still needed what was asked for on the reservation or if there were any needed changes. The breakfast the next morning was filling and delicious. I appreciated the great variety of cereals, oatmeal, eggs, and fruit. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable although the bathroom was on the small side.

Room condition not the best, bathroom very small and poor lighting in room. Does not meet BW "PLUS" standards in my opinion. Carpets not good, just not the Best place to stay with a family, and in No way a BW PLUS.

The hotel as a whole is not bad. The ruins are average if not a little small, not modern, needs an upgrade. The staff was pleasant but in the evening don't go outside!!!. The parking lot has people living in the bushes and it just doesn't feel safe.

Excellent location for touring the area's attractions. Our room was spacious and clean. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Very nice breakfast included in your stay. Our room was situated fairly close to the lobby, where the breakfast room is. Every morning, there was quite a noisy parade of people going to dine. Doors aren't very heavy and noise was very audible in the room. Chatting in the hallway, slamming doors. I would recommend a room, if you like to sleep later than 8am, less near the lobby. Otherwise a great stay. Recommend this excellent value.

There are lots of hotels where I stay throughout the year, and by far, this place stands out as one of the worst. They booked us into the wrong room, then it was like pulling teeth to get switched to the room we had booked. We got into our room to find a cockroach, stains on the bedspread and it was simply not up to other hotels standards that I usually stay in. To make matters worse, the pool had the most obnoxious loud people that we have ever been surrounded by and the staff simply Ignored it. Flash forward to later in the night (12:30AM), and people were outside being loud and noisy and the hotel staff did nothing to curb it, so we had to go out and request people quiet down. To make matters worse, we were told we couldn't get a late check out (no big deal), but we could use the pool for the rest of the day after we checked out. When we went to do that, we were told it was not allowed. The continental breakfast was substandard and the coffee was always out. Our room was advertised at $129.99 per night, but we looked at our receipt and the charges us $144.99 for the night. Staff was unsure of themselves and obviously not properly trained or empowered to make decisions, which is a kiss of death for the hospitality business. In closing, we won't be back, and unless you are extremely desperate for a cheap place to stay, I would avoid this place at all costs.

All staff was exceptional friendly and helpful when needed. even the maids would greet you warmly when wandering the halls. everything was comfortable and clean. A very full breakfast compared to most places, large variety of items.

A great place to stay and shop in Yakima. Next to restaurants and shopping. Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly. They offer a nice free breakfast with lots of options. If travelling with kids ask for a room that exits onto an outdoor pool area.

Wonderful hotel in convenient location. Terrific staff. Very dog friendly. Breakfast buffet was up to Best Western Plus standards. Clean and comfortable. Quiet. What else do you need? Beautiful lobby. Room with two queens was spacious. Very good TV selection. WiFi was not so fast/intermittent at the end of the top floor, but was super fast in the dining room.

Yakima doesn't have a lot of first rate accommodations....The Best Western is a pretty good solid choice for this area. The staff was very friendly. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable.The air conditioner worked well (important for 100 degree weather). The breakfast was pretty good.... Our room was nice and fairly quiet (not the hotel's fault, the kids on sports teams get kind of noisy with the ice machine in the early morning. And thus, they run out of ice). The hotel is easily accessible from the highway. if we find ourselves back in Yakima, we would stay at this hotel again.

I stayed here because of the pool and the suite rooms on the ground floor with convenient access to the pool area. The pull out sofa was a horrible bed and a barely okay sofa. The breakfast is standard. The service is friendly and pleasant. We have stayed here 3 times over the last few years and always have a great time in spite of that sofa:).

When we first arrived, my husband was unhappy with the rooms as he thinks they are reek of cigarette smoke smell even though they were non-smoking room. The staff was unwilling to let us change the rooms. However, we were able to change the room later after I found and killed a cockroach in drawer. :(

Although the hotel was a bit older it was in amazing shape and very well cared for. This hotel is in the best area of Yakima, WA. Right next to a shopping mall, and within walking distance to several restaurants.

While checking in, the front desk clerk answered at least a dozen phone calls so the process took longer than it should, although she was pleasant and apologetic The elevator didn't work, yet they didn't provide a heads up so if I were handicapped I could be sure to get a room on the first floor The front desk clerk had no idea where the exercise room was, even looking at a floor plan of the building The lobby walls are covered with large, framed quotes from the bible, which I found off-putting The exercise room is the smallest I've seen at a Best Western with old-school aerobics machines although at least the elliptical machine operated well but had no place for water bottle or iPod/phone The first floor hallways smelled of old cigarette smoke Internet connection was weak so I kept getting disconnected, so would avoid this BW location for future business trips.

I stay here 2-3 times a month, and always have had a great stay! its not the fanciest, or even the most modern. But its clean, quiet & comfortable. In my experience it seems to be well maintained. Good hot breakfast! Nice outdoor pool, and a very friendly/helpful staff.

Most definitely at the better end of Yakima with more going on for food and shopping. I appreciate that most BW's have upgraded, remodeled their facilities. The lobby and breakfast location were clean and spacious. The Ahtanum Inn added on a sun-room type seating off the breakfast area to more than double that space. Great visiting this place and seeing improvements along the way. This is definitely our usual stop when hanging over in Yakima!

Excellent location just off I-82 in Union Gap, south end of Yakima, ten minutes to downtown. Close to the Valley Mall and a good selection of restaurants. We chose this hotel for a mid-summer getaway because it has a nice outdoor pool complete with loungers and umbrella tables, giving it a resort feel. The full hot breakfast was an extra bonus. Very good TV in the room and free WiFi, plus free computers in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again.

I stayed many times over the years and as a business hotel it is the most convenient for my needs. I like to have a hotel so easy to get to from the freeway and this one provides that. When going out of town the company I work for tries to have a consistent location for all of it's employees to stay while out of town.

Stayed here while working in Yakima. I have stayed here in the past, but had some surprises I did not know about! Check in was nice and easy, friendly staff. Room was larger than I needed and had a kitchenette! I did not know they had this! Beds were separated from a living area with couch and chair. Regular balcony that opened to my next surprise, a really nice grassy area in between the buildings and pool area. Picnic area, and stand alone BBQ grills like you see in the parks. This would be PERFECT if I was traveling with my family and wanted to cook out for dinner! Breakfast was fine, and they had chicken fried steak and makings for breakfast burritos. Not a restaurant, but many more selections than normal hotel breakfasts. Looks like they are updating and remodeling rooms too. Nice stay!

I discovered this hotel a few months back, and have stayed there three times already. The rooms are clean and quiet, the breakfast is about a nice of spread as you'll ever see, and the value is unmatched. I have now made this hotel my go-to place when I'm in the area. It's hard to beat the quality, and I highly recommend it!

The front desk staff went way beyond normal courtesy. We had been denied a reserved room at a neighboring hotel because the previous guest had not vacated. When we went to Best Western Ahtanum Inn, we were told they were fully booked. Instead of sending on our way, the front desk personnel began an active search for a room as close to Yakima as possible. During this search there was a cancellation at Best Western and the room was offered to us. I can't say enough about the caring service!

Staff was nice. My room was clean. This is a decent hotel for the price. Air Condition was great on the very hot days. The ice machines did not work however. Breakfast meals were nice and they had a variety of items to choose from.

Close to several restaurants and shopping. Rooms were very clean and very nice to have a mini refrigerator in the room. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. They did not mind that our group of 65 people were there along with the baseball team that was playing in town.

This hotel hosted our group "Crossfires Across America" annual meet this year We had about 32 rooms for our group and the staff was outstanding We all received quality accommodations and very good service We all enjoyed breakfast each morning together before the day began General Manager "Kelly" was very friendly and enjoyed us staying there for the week I highly recommend this hotel for anyone to stay at Thank you all , Gary

Since most of Yakima seemed to be booked up the day we needed to be there, we ended up at this freeway convenient Best Western. It's clean with a nice outdoor pool and grass for the little dog. The lobby walls are covered with Psalms and it's obviously a Christian owned facility. I question blatantly religious pronouncements in a hotel, no matter the religion. The breakfast was adequate, lots of parking and rooms are clean and nice. The best part is the Outback Steakhouse just steps across the parking lot. THAT was a nice amenity!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We were with a car group and found the staff friendly and very accommodating for some "extras" that we required as part of our group activities. The rooms were very good and the location excellent for access and for nearby shopping.

We were part of a Car Group , Crossfires Across America, and a large one of over 32 cars ! It can be challenging, to manage a large group in a Hotel setting, but the Manager was nothing, but accomodating , to make our stay as a group work out well. The rooms were clean , and the pool area and grass area were well maintained, The complimentary Breakfast, was just what our group needed before we went on our Car excursions daily!!

Very enjoyable stay. Management and staff were most accommodating to our group. Our room was clean and stalked with toiletries that you would expect from a BW Plus. Breakfast was very good with lots of variety. Cookies and pastries in the afternoon was a treat. The location is near a freeway exit and across from a shopping mall. There are several eateries within walking distance or a short drive from the hotel. I would definitely stay there again.

We arrived around 4PM, the first hotel on our 9 day m/c ride. Right when we pulled up, an employee was coming out the front door and said, "Hey, welcome. You are welcome to park you bikes right here at the front door so we can keep an eye on them". Wow, not the first time we've heard this from Best Western, but easily the fastest. The desk host was super friendly and efficient, when asking my last name for the reservation, commenced with using my first name from there on. That felt very welcoming and comfortable. They had a ground floor room close to the entry as I had requested. Gave us the triple AAA rate and had us checked in and good to go within 5 minutes. The room was clean, comfortable and right up to the BW standard that we (my riding buddy & I) have come to rely on. Looking forward to the included breakfast and coffee in the morning.

This hotel was great for our car club annual event!!! We arrived Sunday afternoon and left on Friday. The manager and staff were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast each morning was wonderful; scrambled eggs, rosemary potatoes, tortillas, salsa, waffles, cereals, muffins and more. Right off the freeway for easy access for our daily drives. We would not hesitate to stay here again!!!

We came here with a Chrysler Crossfire Group of 32 Cars. They started out right, by having 30 sports of reserved parking on the side of the hotel. They let us use the breakfast room for our Mystery Crossfire Game (40-50 people.) They let us celebrate our last day together in the Breakfast room for our own Pizza Party. We used up the Lobby for people to inter mix with each other. Kindness was well above the normal. The GM (Kelly) was super kind, Vivian (and the new Trainee) were terrific, Nathan the night front desk did well even when us late goers were making some noise, and best of all for me Oscar did a fantastic job giving me the "Roof - Tour" to take pictures of the Crossfires and drivers. Thanks again for a great job !!!!!!!.

From the moment of our arrival on Sunday evening for a week long stay with our Crossfire's Across America auto club we were treated like honored guests. Trina greeted us with an infectious smile and conveyed warmth like we were old friends. Thank you for the hospitality to us and exceeding expectations! The rooms were tidy, lobby and afternoon cookies inviting and location to shopping and dining steps away. We could not have asked for more. Job well done!

Desk personnel were very knowledgeable and efficient. We had a poolside room with a patio which was very relaxing in a garden setting. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast area was spacious and the hot selections were very good (eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits, gravy) in addition to nice variety of cereal, fresh fruit, bagels, and pastries. And the price was certainly affordable. The only downside was the bathroom door which you had to close in order to access the bathtub.

here for a state softball tournament , the staff here is the best , this is not a 5 star motel , more like a 3 , but they get 5 because of the service. we travel a lot in the summer & this place is my new favorite. the bathrooms are a little cramped - the only negative i have

Clean and nice it was close to the work we were doing in town. Breakfast was good, beds were comfortable. We will be staying again this week. The price of the hotel was reasonable. I would recommend this hotel.

We complained that our room smelled very strongly of cigarette smoke and asked for another room. They said they were completely booked and they couldn't move us to another room. The next day there were still no other rooms available but they said they would deep clean the room to get rid of the smell. When we got back to the hotel that evening, we were hit with a wall of vanilla room freshener so strong it burned our eyes. Ugh! Won't stay here again!! Breakfast was good so I gave them 1 star which is generous.

A very good experience ! Friendly staff. Clean. Will be nice when the elevator to the second floor is installed. Close to shopping and restaurants. The breakfast was good, the breakfast area was very clean. There is a washer and dryer if you have been on a long trip and need to do laundry.

Had a GREAT visit!! I am a self proclaimed "hotel snob" & almost always insist on staying at the Sheraton & Hilton properties. We were very VERY pleasantly surprised at the comfort, cleanliness, amenities and friendliness of the staff at this Best Western property. Every staff member we encountered was helpful, informative, accommodating & friendly!!! The breakfast was good & there was enough variety to satisfy everyone. We will certainly stay here on our next visit to the Yakima area!!

Staff at check in were not welcoming, my non-smoking room smelt like cigarette smoke, quality of bed was horrible (but everyone prefers different types of beds) (too hard for me), breakfast was GREAT, bathroom was extremely small with very little room to get ready in, location is great for shopping, clean room, just overpriced in my opinion. If other hotels weren't sold out I would have stayed somewhere else. Lots of truckers at this hotel.

This was a very nice hotel. Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable hotel beds I have slept in. The pool area and pool itself were clean and well kept. Although the hotel was close to major roads, it was still very quiet. For us, it was also within walking distance to many restaurants.

There were no grab bars in the room. Scooter nor walker could not fit into the bathroom. No shower access, or grab bars. No grab bar for the toilet. We specifically asked for ADA room when making reservation. Travelled 250 miles for a family function and room was small, partner couldn't get in the bathroom, toilet was low, no room to turn around. Bed was very comfortable.

This Best Western has a lot to offer. The rooms are so nice and comfortable. The breakfast has a lot to offer and is very good. The breakfast area is kept very clean. Rooms facing the pool have relaxing seating out of each room. The pool has a nice sun bathing area, the court yard has a nice bbq and picnic area. Parking is plenty and the location is easy to access. This really is one of the nicest Best Westerns, I will always stay at this Best Western anytime I am in the area

The staff was wonderful, clean accommodations. There wasn't a double queen, which we reserved a available so we got a free upgrade to a suite. The breakfast offered had many varieties to choose from. Would definitely stay here again.

The folks at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Coffee is available in the lobby. We were upgraded to a very large double queen kitchenette suite as diamond select level. The carpet seemed new but the soft furnishings in the suite need replaced soon. The cushions on the sofa bed did not cover the bed mechanism and was very uncomfortable to sit on. The chair was much better. We had a first floor room with a sliding door in the back and a small patio with chairs. The second floor rooms have balconies with chairs. I liked that there was a table with four chairs and a nice kitchen (with a two burner cooktop) in the suite. Our beds were comfortable and the sheets were soft so we slept well. We did notice a lot of light in the bedroom when we turned off the lights as the TV had a bright red light and the alarm clock was also very bright. A rolled up towel blocked the TV light and a hand towel tossed over the alarm clock also helped. There is a picnic/BBQ area and a large pool inside the U made from the hotel rooms. Lots of restaurants nearby and almost shares a parking lot with an Outback. They had delicious link sausage in a casing (probably the best I've encountered recently) and wonderful bold coffee. There were four choices of cereal and skim milk available. Also, they had full size muffins and we really liked the chocolate chip ones. Finally they offered a free Sunday newspaper and this is very rare to find.

I reserved a "poolside" room and our was not poolside. Heating/cooling system was a little frustrating. We had to adjust the wall unit and the thermostat on the other side of the room. (Small inconvenience) Found a couple small pieces of garbage on the floor when we checked in. Front Desk staff was not unfriendly but not friendly as I would expect.

The check in at this facility was VERY friendly and welcoming! The bed and room were very nice and the only strange thing was the texturing on the ceiling in a rather unique fashion. My dog kept staring at it too :) They were very pet friendly and even have a small dog run for taking care of business - it was well stocked with bags along with the bag that came with my dog's welcome cookie. Hot breakfast was well stocked, clean and well organized - and the food was pretty good. Happy to see cheese to put on top of my biscuits and gravy - YUM!!! The cranberry juice was so cold and refreshing I had two cups. I do hope they get the elevator issue resolved so that my next trip can upgrade them to excellent!

This hotel was a perfect fit for our group. The room exceeded my expectations and the staff was fantastic. The pool and grounds were great for all the kiddos we had in on our team. There was a lot of us and the Hotel staff managed it all beautifully. Breakfast was hot and ready for us, my kids loved making their own waffles!! We had a great time!!!

Our high school baseball team was participating in the Washington State Regional Championships in Yakima, Washington. We stayed here with the members of our team. Our number one praise for this hotel was its cleanliness. That is a very important attribute we look for in a hotel. The front desk staff were very helpful giving us directions to the stadium and other venues in the city. The best factor about this hotel is its back yard location adjacent to the 80+ store Valley Mall. A shopaholic's dream! The free breakfast seemed to have all the fixins for a big or small, healthy or not, breakfast. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will book here again.

In Yakima for business. Room was clean and comfortable. Beds were very comfortable. Work area (desk and chair) were roomy enough to set up my laptop and get some work done. Breakfast was great. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

We have stayed in MANY Best Western Hotels and this one offered the best breakfast we have ever had - from the variety to the presentation to the taste. Staff was friendly, courteous, helpful and happy. The hotel was well appointed, clean and wifi worked without any difficulty. Convenient location near the freeway was a bonus.

I spent one unscheduled night there,my vehicle broke down,i had to spend the night while it was being fixed at the dealership.The staff did a very good job at accommodating and help me the best they could,room was very clean and cozy and facing north(#240).Some kind of a little coffee break is served late afternoon and their complimentary hot breakfast is delicious.Eggs,sausage,ham,different potato styles,waffles,muffins,bread,fruits,variety of yogurts,cereals,coffee,tea,juices etc....Great place to stay even though i would have liked to keep going that day and skip the 300$ bill for my vehicle. I forgot to mention,they have a rate for CDL holders.

This hotel is in Union Gap just south of Yakima. We enjoyed seeing the apple and cherry blossoms as we drove in. Hotel is clean and staff friendly. We had a room overlooking the pool and lawn area which was clean and comfortable. The breakfast area is one of the largest we have seen at a Best Western with all the usual items with a friendly and efficient staff member.

I stayed here for work and I was very happy! Staff was very friendly and the hotel was very clean and comfy. Best nights sleep I have ever had at a hotel. I would definitely stay here the next time I am in Yakima!

We went to this area for a function in a nearby town. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful with a mix-up with our reservations. The hotel had been remodeled recently, and the elevator was not yet up and running, so had to take the stairs to our room. Not a problem, though, as only 2 floors in the hotel. The hot breakfast was filling, with diced red potatoes, as well as the standard scrambled eggs and sausage. Both "light" and regular yogurt was a pleasant surprise. The eating area was quite large; a nice feature. Has an Outback Restaurant across its parking lot. Would stay there again if in the area.

Easy check in and check out, extra amenities in the room (towels, pillows etc). Nice staff and decent free breakfast. It is not the nicest hotel I have stayed at but for the price it is clean, proficient, nice staff, and has everything you need. I would stay there again anytime.

Staff is super accommodating and friendly, They got me a better rate at check-in and we also did a late check-out no extra charge. Full breakfast was available by 5:15AM race morning; shuttle bus to start and from finish - this is the only hotel in the area that does that. Conveniently located off 82, and close to shops and restaurants. Great value; I've stayed here a number of times and the staff always does a great job.

Very convenient location quiet and clean. This is an older property but has been renovated to keep up with the times. We had room with balcony facing the courtyard which was a added bonus. Beds were comfortable and even though the bathroom is small it was very clean. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. They serve a good hot breakfast in a area with plenty of room which isn't always found. Would definitely stay here again when in Yakima area.

This is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast is very good and you get a free local paper. The internet works well. The rooms are lacking in electrical outlets. It would be nice if the nightstand lamps had a recepticle. When traveling to this hotel I bring an extension cord. The front desk staff are the best.

Awesome rooms with all the amenities. What I found particularly amazing was the free hot breakfast. We stayed on what appeared to be a busy day, but the breakfast area was very well stocked and prepared. We had a very nice lady in the kitchen named Roberta to point us in the right direction when we needed help, and she was very polite and professional even when our kids made a little mess. Great job Roberta and Best Western on a such a pleasant stay!

This hotel is far enough from the highway to be quiet but close enough to be very convenient. I have stayed here multiple times and always enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and cheerful. The breakfast is exceptional for a hotel in this price range with hot eggs, bacon, and all of the conventional items too. I especially appreciate the excellent coffee which is not a given at moderately priced hotels.

Beyond dated. How are they entitled to catorgize themselves as "Plus"? I stay in a lot of hotels. In fact I am in a hotel room 90% of the year. Never had I had a room worse than this. I am actually in pain. Bed here is in terrible shape, leans to the right, tag says it was manufactured 12 years ago. Other than that, this room is just akward. Bathroom counter height can't be to code. I'm 5'8" on a good day and the counter is at least 6" below my waist. Desk is more or less a small table with heavy, non rolling chairs...placed just at the foot of the bed. Room 230 just sucks. Next to stairwell, across from ice machine, facing highway, parking lot, restaurant, as well as a truck stop. Air filters were also filthy. If I have anything positive to say it's that the Internet is ridiculously fast for a hotel in the middle of nowhere. Just shy of 100mbps down and 10 up over ethernet...cut that in half for wifi. Still would never make up for the stay. I will never return to this location. (Rewards Status: BW Diamond)

The hotel was clean and the rooms comfortable. We had a youth soccer team staying at the hotel where we were able to get 11 families checked in, fed a breakfast, and checked out quickly so we could make their early game. The value was very good for all of the families.

I went on a trip to visit my ill family member. I always stay at a Best Western when possible. It is comfortable and clean. I was not thrilled about the area but it worked. I came in late one night as I stayed out at my family members home for longer thab exoected. When I got back to the hotel the front door was locked. This hotel is basically off the highway behind a mall area in a very lonely spot, which made it kind of creepy. I had a room key but it didn't work for the main door as the door lock was not yet updated. I had to get the attention of the attendant that had just come out of the back room. He said that the lock had not been updated on the front door yet. You would think they would of done that one first. One complain though if you sleep in late you'll miss the cleaning service.

Full met my expectation except for the fact that I didn not get a king as requested. Other than that Best Western Plus is a great way to go, and this one has everything you need and within walking distance.

This Inn had everything I was looking for people were very friendly rooms were clean and quiet had everything you might want in the room. The hot breakfast was great clean great food and a large selection. I would stay there again for sure.

Excellent staff very helpful and pleasant. Made sure that everything was perfect in everyway Room was great very clean and well stocked with coffee and amenities. Breakfast was first rate. Not just make your on waffle like most hotels.

Our stay at the Best Western PLUS Ahtanum Inn in Yakima, Wa. was very nice. The rooms were nicely decorated and the beds were extremely comfortable to sleep on and we got a nice rest, The continental breakfast in the morning was excellent. They had a very good variety of items to have for breakfast. You just had to chose was you liked. The hot items were kept hot and were displayed very well. The location was excellent. There was lots of shopping areas within walking distance. Restaurants were close by also. So this hotel was located in a very good location. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The maids were also friendly and asked if there was anything we needed just asked them and they would accommodate our requests.

Although we had never stayed at Yakima before it was about 1/2 way on our destination so we thought we would give it a try. We always look for Best Western Hotels so when we found this one it was great. Very nice room with a patio door to the back yard. Although the pool wasn't open because of the season, the yard was very nice to walk in. Ladies at the front desk were helpful and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was organized and everything was kept full and tidy. All dishes were cleaned up as soon as someone left if they didn't take their own. Nice hotel and nice little town.

For a roadside accommodation this hotel is ok in terms of location and amenities. In terms of noise insulation it is not so good. We heard the guests next to our room shuffle chairs and talk loudly on their patio literally every fifteen minutes while they were smoking outside. Very annoying! On the positive side: tasty red bean soup was offered late afternoon.

While this may be an okay hotel for truck drivers and construction workers, it is certainly not a suitable hotel for the typical business traveler. Very outdated and rundown decor. Hallways stink of cigarette smoke. On the positive side, the breakfast is huge and amazing for a Best Western of this type. They actually have a real kitchen. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have cookies and chili out every evening and coffee always available in the Lobby. That is a very nice touch. If you are a smoker, trucker, construction worker, you will probably like this property. Otherwise, I would recommend you steer clear.

I absolutely love the staff at this hotel. I have stayed here for five years in a row now. I come to town every September for the fair. We are at the hotel for anywhere between 10-15 days. We also have small exotic animal babies that accompany us. This hotel has been one of the BEST hotels I've ever stayed in. I applaud the staff and how they treat their guests. I look forward to my stay and the staff every year. Thank you for going above and beyond for your guests!

This is one of the places we go once or twice a year to get over to the east side of the state and enjoy some of their beautiful weather. We started staying here about 7 years ago and keep coming back for more. I will break this review down in 4 sections. Grounds/pool, Room/Bathroom, Hotel condition/service, and Breakfast. Grounds- The grounds at the best western are some of the best I have stayed at for a hotel in its category. The Pool area and courtyard are spectacular. They just recently replaced all of the pool furniture and the grounds are always usually very nicely landscaped. Plush green grass and a big area to play catch or even bbq on. They have a few charcoal bbq pits that you can use and a nice quaint gazebo to sit under. One of the big reasons we stay here is because of the private courtyard and pretty grounds. Room- The rooms are nice and have everything you need. Furniture seemed to be updated within the last 10 years and they do have flat screens in the rooms now. Mini fridge/microwave also are located in the rooms. I recommend spending the little extra and upgrade to the poolside/balcony rooms. Bathroom- The Bathrooms are where I deduct my 1* from. Most of the bathrooms are TINY. Its a challenge to maneuver around the bathroom when showering or trying to share it with another person. The shower head is also very low and its hard to not get water on the ground due to the shower curtain. Unfortunately there is nothing that can really be done about the bathrooms size at this point and I will have to live with them. If someone from the Best Western is reading this I would recommend attaching new shower heads that give the extra height.The ones that you can actually remove and hold in your hand. That Would help for us taller people. Hotel condition/ Service- This hotel is older and shows its age in the darker hallways but it doesn't feel cold or dingy like some older hotels. They seem to try to update this hotel little by little every year. Flat screens, outdoor furniture, elevator most recently. I am glad they continue improving the hotel and hope they don't stop as I would like to continue staying here. They have a large breakfast room now that was added a few years ago. Overall its a hotel that shows its age but not in a negative way. Just in some of the wood work and carpet choices and things of that nature. Service here is usually very good but I have came across one front desk person that seemed inconvenience by me when I went to ask a question and they were outside smoking a cigarette. They huffed back inside though and helped me. This was a rare occasion and hope it doesn't happen again. If so I may have to report that person to the manager. (not that I want too we all have our off days). Breakfast- Breakfast here is one of the better ones you will get at a continental breakfast. Has all the things you need and is usually always stocked. Waffles (with the yummy strawberries, butter, sugar free or normal syrup, and whipped cream), cereal, fruit, bagels, pastries, variety of milk, juices, eggs, fried potatos (microwaved), biscuits and gravy, sausage links, etc One of the very best for the price point. If you are staying in Yakima and are planning on doing things at the hotel like swim or play outside this is the place to go. They have fancier hotels in yakima with more up to date furnishings but they don't have the beautiful courtyard or 8 foot deep outdoor pool with bbq pits and gazebo.

It was bad winter storm. We arrived late at the hotel. It is great to watch on the tv. It was nice shower. we couldn't sleep well in the bed. It was awful bed. It need update the bed. It was good breakfast.

I tried a new hotel, and no good deed goes unpunished. The room needs to be updated, the bed was average, breakfast quality was ok but could be better. They really need to update the amenities in the room. For example the ironing board. Why in the world would they bolt the darn iron to it? The iron was junky and takes up so much of the useable space. Besides, the iron was nasty. Can someone tell me what in the world do people do to these things? It's like someone cooked a grilled cheese sandwich on it!! Need more outlets to plug electronics in to. The place was just ok.

This Lg. Property is near Union Gap and the Valley Mall. Not far from Fairgrounds and Convention Center in Yakima. Clean, comfy and well equipped. Nice workout room, and hot breakfast with lots of choices! Plenty of seating for Breakfast. Breakfast also extends to 10:00 am. which is helpful. 2 levels, with Stairs only. So if you have chn. or mobility issues, request main floor.

It was my first stay for business and my experience with Best Western. The people made the visit an excellent experience. There are very few things that really differentiate a hotel stay. The rooms are comparable, but its the people that can make or break the stay. This Best Western did an outstanding job!

The front desk staff made us feel very welcome with fresh baked cookies and hot chili. They were very friendly and helpful. The room was large sand extremely clean. We had a restful sleep due to the quietness of the room and the comfortable bed. The breakfast was incredible - fresh ingredients cooked in front of you. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to all.

This Best Western is a very nice and comfortable place to stay. The suites are very roomy, the kitchen layout is perfect. They pool area is welcoming. I have used the BBQ area several times. A perfect place to stay with or without children. This Best Western is very accommodating and comfortable.

No frills here. Not a hotel, more of a motel. They brag about a great breakfast, but don't offer it until 6am. I'm gone before then. now they are making me add more, so I'll say I didn't get the room I reserved. How do you reserve a room and then when you get there they say its not available?

To break a long drive, we spent a night at this Best Western. It was not as good as many Best Westerns we've visited, but adequate, considering it's location in the middle of a commercial/industrial zone. This is Yakima. The service was average, the room clean, quiet and comfortable, and the complementary breakfast was surprisingly good. Our only criticism, as first appearances are important, is that they should replace the dilapidated front door and pick up the trash littered along the shrub-beds on the hotel front.

I was in town on business and thought I would try a different hotel this time. Found this hotel and it was nice but nothing special or out of the ordinary for the price. They did have an outdoor pool for families in the summertime which would be nice but for the difference in the price I would probably go back to my original hotel that I usually stay at when in town. Thanks for a "nice stay" Staff Was friendly so I cant say anything bad about that! Cant really say anything Bad just NOTHING Stood out to recommend to others. Sorry

One of Yakima's nicer facilities for overnighting. A classic Best Western with two exceptions. The included breakfast exceeds BW Plus standards and is terrific (though my traveling partner said the breakfast needed bacon). The other exception is the prominent display of religious sayings. This can be seen as offensive by some and certainly insensitive by management.

This is an older hotel, but very clean and served our needs well. The beds were very comfortable, but seemed small...they said they were queen sized but felt much smaller than our queen at home. The entire room was very clean and quiet. I didn't hear a noise all night. Breakfast was very good, lots and lots of choices. We had Belgian waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, bagels and English muffins. They also had eggs, sausage, lots of pastries, cereals and yogurts. We traveled with our dogs, and there is plenty of grassy areas to walk them. Definitely staying here again if we go back to Yakima.

Best Western usually gives reliable if unspectacular service and amenities. The Ahtanum Inn looks to be an older facility and our room, while clean, had a non-working thermostat and the soap dispenser in the bathroom didn't work. The staff had not been particularly helpful on check-in so we didn't bother reporting these issues, as we had to get to sleep with a meeting to get to the next day. The 6 a.m. wakeup call we requested came in at 6:20, though luckily we had our cellphone backups. The breakfast was nice and the Internet service worked, but overall, I wish we'd chosen the northerly Yakima Best Western location - it was a bit more expensive, but sometimes you get what you pay for.

The staff here is always very pleasant & kind. There always very helpful if we need something. I especially like the Christian atmosphere. The complimentary breakfast & the way the room is set up makes it very convenient for the hotel guest.

I stayed at the hotel twice in midsummer 2015, last in 2015. The property has both a super convenient location, just off major freeway with fast on / off and still close to central Yakima. But the property is adjacent to a very busy, sizeable truckstop with all the related noise and visual impairments. The hotel management does an excellent job of assuring that the truckers do not hang around the property. However, one night I estimated that over 150 tractor trailer rigs were parked overnight behind the truck stop overflowing into the mall parking lot behind. The hotel is neat, clean and well maintained. Rooms are comfortable and décor is pleasant. Management is clearly working hard to try to upscale the property. Service is sketchy. It really irritates me when I approach front desk rep with local area questions and they know nothing about the area. If you hire newcomers or people commuting from some rural area, give them an orientation on surrounding restaurants, clubs, and shopping. Also, one day my room had not been cleaned, and the rather effete night desk clerk pointedly attempted to make it seem as if it were my fault. I would like to rate these folks a 4 for trying hard with property limitations, but I just can't quite justify it.

This sure wasn't like the other Best Western Plus hotels we stayed in during our three-week trip. The wi-fi was impossible to join without help from the front desk, and even then it was slow to connect. Then we were locked out of of wifi the next morning, even though 24 hours hadn't passed; and we couldn't get back online no matter what we tried. The bathroom was missing basic amenities like tissues. There was no directory of services. They only had one key for the room. The pool is outdoors and not very attractive. Breakfast was mediocre. What a contrast with the Best Western in Coeur d'Alene, ID the previous night. This place is not Plus!

The stay and play golf package, with Apple Tree GC, is a great value. We have been utilizing it for several years. I will recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, clean, comfortable and quiet hotel in the Yakima area. Thank You BW.

Nicely furnished hotel with clean, comfortable guest room. Convenient location to interstate. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was standard Best Western breakfast fare. Would recommend this hotel if traveling inYakima.

I use this hotel several times a year for business and it is always clean, comfortable and the location makes it work well for my needs. I really enjoy the fact that the staff knows my name each time I show up to check-in and that makes me feel welcome. There are restaurants close with a good variety of types of food.

our room was clean, the staff was very kind and friendly. The only draw back is the room doors slam very loud. Plenty of parking and well lit. There is a few restaurants nearby for easy dining options. The full breakfast in the morning was perfect.

Just stayed here for one night, while traveling. Staff was friendly and efficient. Room was clean, well furnished and decent size. Breakfast the next morning was good. Breakfast area was clean, nice variety of items and they were kept well stocked.

Nice rooms, good size with accommodations perfect for families. Ask the desk for extra coffee. Seems to be limited supply at most Best Western facilities. Breakfast service is good but the fake eggs can get old. Big enough variety to choose something else. Good location about 40 minuets to Prosser and about 40 minutes back to Ellensberg. Many activities inbetween. This is far enough off the freeway to be quiet. Off ramp can be tricky.
