Excellent room , good breakfast great location. I feel very safe there by myself and arriving late. Parking is safe and I am comfortable leaving my car when I go traveling. Everything is always clean and in working order. Love the fresh cookies and choice of hot beverages in the lobby
The luggage carts are ancient and in horrible condition. The room smells. The pool is beyond gross and I posted a picture of that. I highly recommend going to any motel but this Best Western. I talked to the front desk clerk about the luggage carts before even seeing the pool and she simply didn't seem to care.
If you prioritize cleanliness, this hotel may not meet your expectations. During our stay on the second floor, we noticed an unpleasant odor permeating the area. The soap dish in the bathroom still had hair remnants from a previous guest, and we experienced a leak from the back of the toilet when flushed. Additionally, the walls had stains, likely from spilled drinks that hadn't been cleaned properly. While the curtains didn't effectively block out light—especially with the bright lights in the back of the hotel—the staff were friendly, and the breakfast was enjoyable. Overall, it could benefit from improved cleanliness and maintenance.
Great place and convenience. Close to shopping centers, Safe Area, Great and friendly staff. Close to Airport. ................ Great place and convenience. Close to shopping centers, Safe Area, Great and friendly staff. Close to Airport.
The cleanliness of the room, as well as the friendliness of the staff is greatly appreciated. The centralized location is a huge bonus for us. We stay at this hotel often. It is frequently booked solid so I wouldn't count on a room being available at the last minute.
Front desk, staff, efficient, and friendly. Room comfortable and clean. Hotel in close proximity to where my business was being handled. Stayed here before and will stay again. You can't go wrong with this hotel. P.S. close the places to eat, shop and socialize.
Beds were great. Breakfast was a good selection but always the same thing and the gravy was just warm milk. Don't expect friendly service from the front desk or directions they have no idea. Had a water leak on 2nd floor which caused wet carpets and leaks in rooms below. Maintenance would be a great improvement everywhere in this hotel.
Excellent hotel! Outstanding customer service, delicious breakfast, and the hotel was extremely clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone flying into Wichita, KS and wants to enjoy a nice restful sleep. I could not hear the airport from this location which was a bonus! I stayed here two days and did a lot of work with a co-worker in the lobby. I could hear the guest and their compliments of the wonderful staff. Thank you, BW Plus Wichita West Airport Inn for a nice stay and the next time I am in town, I will be sure to come back to your hotel. From: *Diamond status BW Rewards Member
Very clean. Stopped while traveling through. Easy to find from I-35. Breakfast was great. The woman at breakfast was very friendly and helpful. She even got my husband more juice. I didn't care for the music that was in the background. But that was my personal preference.
Front desk staff was amazing, the rooms were clean and the beds and linens were good. The pool was the only negative, hence the 4 Star rating instead of 5 Stars. We had planned for our granddaughter to use the pool but noticed what appeared to be some mold.
This hotel was priced well for its offerings. Staff were friendly and the room was clean. Don't expect a microwave in the room or half of the limited tv channels to work. The closet had no handle so that was annoying. Breakfast eggs we dry and rubbery every day. You get what you pay for as they say.
This place was great! Came into town to see a show, so just stayed for one night. It was clean and quiet. The front desk staff was ready for us to arrive and it was a super quick check-in. Bed was pretty firm, but still comfortable. I made a special request online for extra pillows when I did the Pre-Check In, and when we arrived in the room, both beds had a ton of pillows! Only three small things that were annoying. 1. The A/C unit doesn't have the option to continuously run so it was turning on and off every 5 min. or so which was a little noisy. 2. A lot of the TV channels wouldn't load, and the channels didn't match the printed guide on the info book in the room. We weren't in the room a lot so that wasn't a huge issue. 3. The 4th floor hallway and elevator had no A/C so it was pretty hot moving around. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western property. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is right by the highway but it was very quiet in our room. The pool was clean with clear water, but it was definitely more dated than the pictures show. The biggest concern I had was that there is no hand rail by the steps going into the pool. You can see the hand rail in the picture on the hotel's website, but it is not there any longer. This seems like a safety issue and I am surprised that their insurance company has not required that the hand rail be replaced. That being said, we were able to get in and out just fine, but I was especially careful because it wouldn't take much to accidentally slip.
The staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. The facility was very clean. The shuttle to the airport was a huge benefit and the cost to keep my car was very reasonable! I will definitely stay there in the future as this is my favorite place to stay when flying out of the Wichita airport!
This was a great layover spot if you're wanting to be close to the airport, only 5 mins away. Clean rooms good breakfast. No issues. I always enjoy BW stays, and this one in Witchita did not disappoint. I'm adding this extra information, since Trip Advisor requires no less than 300 characters in a review..... weird
We have stayed here multiple times and it's been a great stay every time. The front desk staff have always been friendly and helpful. The breakfast has many choices. Hot cereal, cold cereals, breads, pastries, eggs, some type of meat, potatoes yogurts, milks and juice. The breakfast attendants are always friendly and keep the area clean and food items full. Pool was nice and clean. Nice workout room. My only complaint this time was the hallway carpets need to be replaced or a super good cleaning they were a lil smelly. Probably didn't help that the hallways were very warm no air conditioning. Rooms are always clean and fresh. None of that dirt in the bathroom corners you see in so many hotels. We will always be back.
When I travel I always try to get into a best western. Last few times I have stayed in a best Western I was less then ideal locations. Something broken and poor service. This location was by far the best. Desk staff was pleasant amenities were in working order and service was fast! I will be returning when ever I can
The staff is very helpful and friendly. The guest rooms are roomy and quiet. They have a great breakfast that includes eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuit and gravy, waffles, cereals, fresh fruit, yogurt, three kinds of milk, several juices, breads & toasts. The attendant does a great job keeping everything fresh and stocked. They even have some grab and go items for those you can do a sit down breakfast including packaged hard boiled eggs and yogurts.
Very disappointed, terrible internet. If I had known there were issues with the internet I would not have stayed. My business depends on it. Not having a good connection cost me money and was kicked off an important zoom call. Please fix this!
I've stayed here before in January 2022, came back to visit my family for five days this week 05/11/24, they haven't done anything to the hotel. It's a bit rundown, carpet has probably not been cleaned since the last time when their water went off because of a boiler problem as we were told. It was smelly and the bed sucked. Our room was cleaned one time and we had to ask for them to clean it. I wouldn't stay here again. Need to clean it up.
Worst Best Western ever. We were moved to 3 different rooms. None of them had a working bathroom vent fan. First, room 137 had a broken desk lamp. Front desk help was useless. Moved to room 133. No vent fan. Moved to room 206. Still no vent fan. This room had the desk right next to the A/C unit. So whenever the A/C unit came on it blew directly on the person sitting at the desk. Just incredibly stupid furniture positioning. Additionally, the floor lamp is so loose it's about to fall over. We will not return.
I appreciated the fact that I was able to get the top floor which is what I requested and the bed was very comfortable. The issue we had was the fire alarm for the building went off at 7:00pm Friday night and then again at 5:30 the next morning. Not the wake up call we wanted. The fridge for the milk and yogurt for the breakfast did not keep anything cold so the milk was curdled.
Was just used to sleep at and grab a quick bite before hitting the road again. It had a breakfast in the morning and all-day coffee available. Clean hotel with good staff.
Passing through the area of which I'm new to. I picked this hotel over two other choices. I was not disappointed as the receptionists were so friendly and helpful. The room was acceptable and the room they placed me in was close to the elevator and my window looked right out to my pickup which was parked directly below. The breakfast in the morning had all a person could ask for as well.
We were really tired when we arrived after driving 8 hours from Colorado. I went directly to bed and my wife wanted to watch the nice big flatscreen new looking TV …however there was no signal. When we tried to call the front desk, the house phone was dead. So, I got back up and dressed and walked down to the front desk to ask that someone please come to fix our TV. They were busy and after waiting a bit, they said they would be up soon. I went back to the room and went back to bed and soon fell asleep. My wife said a nice lady came and tried to fix the TV, but was unsuccessful. She offered another room down the hall and took my wife there. Since my wife didn't want to disturb my sleep, she took her things and occupied the other room. When I awoke and found my wife gone, I called her on our cell phones and learned what had happened. At that point, we didn't want to be moving our things and so I stayed in the original room and she stayed in the new room for the rest of the night. We both got a good night of sleep and were not charged for the second room when we checked out! Yes, the property is a little run down, but the beds & pillows were great and the cleanliness is acceptable, but really it is the staff and price point of this location that exceeds our expectations. We will definitely recommend and stay again when passing this way.
We were disappointed in our stay. The first room we were sent to , the AC wasn't working, so we were moved to a new room, the front desk was barely cordial, not friendly at all. Beds were OK, breakfast was just decent. HOT in the lobby, I saw the exercise room was set to 84⁰, so too hot for a workout. Hotel is rather run down, broken tiles in bathroom, difficult closet doors, burned out light bulbs, cleaning wasn't the greatest Lots of highway noise. Can't recommend.
Everything was fine. Comfortable room and alright breakfast. Found out when I got there, no shuttle from airport when I get back from my trip. They had one to take me, but not pick up. This is one of the main reasons I stayed there. So make sure you ask before you book if you are flying. Otherwise great stay
Friendly and professional staff. I called to make my reservation and the front desk was very accommodating. Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Although it was next to the highway, the noise wasn't horrible. Breakfast was very good. Was pleasantly surprised with the different protein options each day.
Yes, it was clean... But stay on opposite side of Highway. The room fan is extremely loud. Traffic noise kept us up most of night. Pillows are very uncomfortable although bed is quite cozy. Breakfast is the basic bad boring fare presented in a clean and attractive way. If you stay here, I recommend driving up West avenue to Le Monde Cafe and Deli for quality food. The other nearby restaurants are all fast food fare.
Stayed a couple days when my truck broke down passing through Wichita. Called several places and this was the only one that would check me in early (about 9 am). On arriving the place was clean and well cared for despite it being winter weather. Ms. Wendy at the front desk was phenomenal and very helpful in me getting settled and explaining various culinary options were available. Room was spacious, comfortable and very clean. The maids were very friendly and made sure I had everything I needed for my stay. And the hot breakfast was the best I've ever had in a hotel!! If you're in Wichita and don't stay here, you're doing yourself a serious injustice!!!
Several positives. Decent breakfast and nice lobby. Ver professional front desk checkin. Comfy beds. Plenty of restaurants fairly close by. Easy access off the highway. Unfortunately are room was in disrepair. Loud AC unit, continuous fan did not work, loose outlet in bathroom, half the toilet roll holder missing and a squeaky stuck door. Reported on checkout and front desk took it seriously.
Completing the reservation with Wendy was a smooth process. She was prompt and professional over the phone and when checking out. The welcome desk staff were also professional during check-in. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel shuttle was easy to reserve and on time for the airport. I would stay here again based on my experience.
My husband and I have stayed at the Best Western Plus Wichita West Airport Inn while visiting family in the area about a dozen times. Always a clean room. Always helpful and friendly staff at the front desk. Great value for the accommodations. There have been a few times where we have had to make last-minute trips to Wichita and this hotel is full--always a disappointment when I know that we won't be staying here. Close to US 400, but we don't hear traffic in our room. Breakfast buffet is good and saves us time and money before we continue our travels. While not important to some people, this hotel is close to a convenience store where we can get a snack to take to our room in the evening or gas up and go after we checkout.
Staff, check in check out, breakfast, clean and bright, TV, wifi connection, and parking all good. The only thing I found out of service is the 2nd floor ice machine. Would love an indoor hot tub for guests. Loved that breakfast had a two waffle irons. I have stay here and the Best Western on the east side of town on Webb Street.
Great location with access to many chain and local restaurants. Room was spacious and clean with nice outdoor area with pool. Staff was pleasant and very willing to assist. Very positive experience while traveling for work.
Clean with a friendly staff and ample breakfast (free). There is the sound of jets, which is to be expected. I arrived late and was pleased to see a well-lit parking lot. Would definitely stay here again. Total cost with tax was $103. Great deal.
This hotel has the worst front desk staff i have ever encountered while checking into a Best Western I have worked for Best Western for almost 7 years and I know for a fact that this hotel is not Best Western Plus standard definitely not with the front desk staff attitude I would not recommend this hotel to anyone
I've been staying at this BW for 3 years because I have a college student in Wichita and have previously been very satisfied, hence my frequent stays. However, this time it was not the same. At all. The 1st room they gave me - the bed was broken, literally, and there were left-over food containers in the fridge. The next room as better, but in the morning I discovered the coffee maker didn't work and the towels were rags. I reported the coffee maker to the front desk since I was staying two night, but nothing was done. This stay didn't live up to the stays I've experienced the previous three years. Super disappointed!
Friendly staff, nice amenities like freshly baked cookies and an espresso machine, great hot breakfast, clean spacious rooms. Definitely a pleasure to stay here and I slept very well. Seriously, an actual espresso machine and I drank the ordinary coffee!
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The kids enjoyed the clean pool area and room. Our check in process was very easy. The breakfast was very good and the airport shuttle driver was very friendly and right on time. We have no complaints.
The employees need to have better knowledge of the services offered to the rewards members. I think the lack of knowledge is the reason for the quality of their service. Also, they need to change the carpets for the hallways some of them are really filthy.
We had a funeral for a family member with the majority of the family from out of town. We choose Best western plus because of its location and it had an AARP discount and most of the people were seniors. They gave us access to a meeting room where we could all, 30+ people, gather to visit. This was very convenient and a great way for us to all reminisce about the good old days. Thank You, Thank you for your hospitality and kindness during our time of sorrow. Check in was easy and any ?s were answered.
We stayed one night, but it was a comfortable stay. Nice, comfy bed, bathroom and breakfast area. Good hot breakfast available. Location worked well for us - easy to get on the main highways and to some restaurants.
Room was pretty hot even though we had the a/c turned down to 64 degrees. There was little water pressure in the shower. Breakfast was very good. The bed was a bit dated with an older mattress, but it was comfortable enough. One elevator was not working. The front desk lady, Wendy, was the nicest and most helpful person that I've dealt with in a long time.
I have stayed at this property a dozen times in the past ten years. This time, some clever person in management decided to tack on a four dollar "Property Fee" on my bill AT THE TIME OF CHECK-IN, over and above the amount shown for the final total on my Reservation Confirmation. Found out immediately, because my card immediately gives me a heads-up on every purchase over $50, so I know this wasn't a block against damage or similar. I don't steal your towels, Best Western, don't try to pick my pocket.
We have stayed here many times because it's clean & affordable. Even after covid when everything else seemed to skyrocket. The staff is friendly. The breakfast is good. The rooms are clean & comfortable. The bed is very good too. There were people in the pool but we didn't use it or the gym. Looked fine though!
I stayed 3 nights at this hotel. We were in town for a ball tournament. We spoke to the hotel about the possibility of an early check in when reserving. I called 3 days prior and was told to call the morning of check in. I called the morning of check in and the receptionist was rude. I can understand if there aren't rooms available, but to be rude is just poor customer service. When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was out front of the hotel smoking by the front door. This is a huge pet peeve of mine. I don't enjoy walking through a cloud of smoke to enter a smoke free building. The hotel was clean. Our room, the common spaces and the kitchen area were always clean. The breakfast was hot and good options. We had an issue with the toilet, and it was repaired immediately. The key card reader by the entrance to the hotel from the pool needs to be replaced. After exiting the pool you had to walk around to the front door or another door to re-enter the hotel. We would probably stay here again if we were in Wichita. Overall it was okay, my main complaint is the friendliness of the receptionist. One was very nice, the others seemed annoyed to be bothered.
Room was clean and furnishings nice. The desk clerk that checked us in was friendly, but no one else was. Was hard to get someone's attention at the desk and once when told they didn't have something I asked for, received no apology. One elevator broken the whole time we were there. Handicapped stall in the bathroom near the workout room was out of order all weekend. Claimed to be non-smoking PROPERTY, but most times we went in and out, someone was smoking beside the front door so that you had to walk in a cloud of smoke to come through. The tv had to be turned on and off on the monitor itself before you could use the remote, but there was nothing in the room to tell you that. Before I knew the “secret” I had to unplug the tv before I went to bed. We had several family members staying there, and it appeared that was the case in their rooms too. Very few outlets. No place to plug in the coffee maker where it was located.
I picked this hotel blind off a travel site. I picked a gem!! This property is less than 10 minutes away from many local attractions. Dining and shopping venues are just streets away. It is quiet, and very clean. My room was spacious, the A/C worked well, the shower had good pressure, and the water was hot. My bed was clean and comfortable. There is a Keurig, Keurig cups, closet, mini fridge, microwave, and small sitting area (desk area and chair too!) This property offers a FREE, hot breakfast from 6-9 each morning: waffles, eggs, biscuits and gravy, a meat patty, cereals, danishes, muffins, coffee and juices. There is a workout room, meeting rooms, ATM and swimming pool. For anyone wanting to tour Witchita, this is the perfect place to stay.
I can truly say that my stay here was the BEST experience I have ever had in all of my traveling and staying at hotels. The staff was so incredibly nice and went above and beyond for us. They were so accommodating and friendly! Laurie, Wendy & Columbus were the employees that helped us and we can't thank them enough! 10000/10 would recommend!!
Our whole floor stunk like sewer We rsvp 5 rooms. staff was unhelpful when we complained, even though we heard the front desk lady offer a House room to the couple in front of us She told them that they had 5-6 house rooms and of course they were allbooked and had no other rooms we asked to speak to a manager and she said he wouldn't be in until the morning when i went to talk to him in the morning, he called into work I left a message and by Wednesday he had not called and i left another message and i called on Saturday and never received a call back I wouldn't recommend this hotel as the staff didn't want to get off their phones or out of their chairs
We stayed at this location mid January and were pleased with our stay. I was in town and needed a place to stay for an overnight trip and this location seemed to be where I needed to be for an appointment the next day. The staff was courteous, check-in was quick and our room was comfortable. My young daughter and husband came with me and both enjoyed the room. We had the two queen beds and they were clean and comfortable. One of the downsides, though, is this hotel is right off of the highway and we could hear every car that passed by, though it was dampened a bit. That did not impact our sleep however, but was worth noting if you have trouble sleeping with noise. A Unique circumstance, I received a call advising that the hotel had no hot water. I opted to stay, since I was staying just the one night. We were surprised to see the full breakfast in the morning. The breakfast area was comfortable and the food area was larger than expected. Food was your standard: sausage patties, eggs, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, pastries (including danish), waffles (with a cute BW on one of the waffle makers), cereals and juice. It was pretty standard, but I don't expect a gourmet meal for something that is complimentary. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The staff was really the best and they were patient with my daughter as she talked their heads off. Definitely would stay again.
Had zero issues while staying at this BW this past weekend. Breakfast was good, hotel was clean, staff was friendly and the location was excellent. Will stay again. The breakfast staff was very friendly and kept the place looking great!
This is a clean hotel with nice clean rooms. Breakfast is fine and location is convenient. The Parking lot in the front and sides is well lite, so feels very safe and secure. There are eating places nearby so finding something to eat is easy enough also. There is a Kwik-trip across the side street that is VERY well stocked and Clean. Easy access for gas and snacks.
First impression of beds wasn't good. They both were lumpy all over because the comforter was bunched up badly in every square of it. Looked very unappealing. However, the bed was comfortable. Bathroom was a disappointment. Shower curtain was limp and hard to keep closed. Tub and shower fixtures were corroded. There was no toilet paper holder. TP sat on the counter. Furniture looked worn.
Never, under any circumstances, will we ever again stay at this Best Western location. Overall operations and guest services at this property could easily serve as ultimate bad examples for the entire hospitality industry. We arrived at 8:25 pm after a 12-hour drive from Minnesota, interrupting the front desk clerk's dinner. With the least possible eye contact or conversation, we were given a keycard to room 300. After loading the bellman's cart with our luggage and other items we took the elevator to the third floor and followed the signs to room 300. As we approached our room, I noted a young woman was exiting it and the door was ajar. I asked if she was in room 300 and noted a young child was also in the room. She did not speak English but smiled and indicated 300 was her room. We apologized for the interruption, turned, and took the elevator back to first floor, along with the bellman's cart. At the desk, I explained to the clerk (I think her name was Shauna(sp), that 300 was already occupied. Her only response was to tell us it wasn't occupied in the system. I assured her we hadn't imagined the young woman and child we saw in the room. Again, she stated it wasn't occupied in the system. Without further conversation, the clerk prepared keycards for room 302 and handed them to us. Back to the elevator, up to the third floor, down the hall to room 302 - where we were again met by the same young lady from room 300, but also a Hispanic gentleman who was coming out of room 302. I explained 302 was our room and the gentleman said he and the young lady had been resident in rooms 300 and 302 or the past five days. As we started back to the elevators, a second Hispanic woman approached and in very limited English told us they were part of the hotel's housekeeping staff. We again returned to the lobby with our bellman's cart and accompanied by the second Hispanic woman. I again told the clerk the room she had given us, #302 was already occupied, and again she could only say it wasn't occupied in the system. The Hispanic woman somehow communicated with the clerk that the system was wrong, and the clerk eventually gave us a keycard to room 310. The Hispanic woman then returned to the third floor along with us and the bellman's cart, where we went to room 310. When I entered the room and turned on the light, I saw the bed was unmade, the ice bucket was sitting on the dresser, and the bathroom was littered with towels, etc. The Hispanic woman saw the same things and came to the same conclusion: the room was used and never cleaned or made up. This time, my wife stayed on the third floor with our belongings and the bellman's cart, and I returned to the lobby with the Hispanic woman where I informed the clerk that room 310 was dirty and not ready for use - regardless of what her system said! The clerk didn't take my word for this until she conferred (somehow) with the Hispanic woman! At 9:30 pm, a full hour after we arrived and three fruitless trips to the third floor, we were given the key card to room 303, which wasn't occupied and wasn't dirty. But that isn't where this nightmare adventure ends. As we prepared to check out, my wife went to the lobby to get a bellman's cart. She was gone so long I began to worry and was about to call the front desk when she returned to the room - sans a cart. She told me when she arrived in the lobby there were no carts. She then spoke with a clerk named Julie and explained she was looking for a cart. Julie told her they only had one cart and it must be in use. This is a four-story property, and they only have one cart!? Julie then checked the security cams and told my wife it wasn't in any of the halls, so it must be in someone's room, and she couldn't do anything. My wife also briefly shared our experience from the night before with Julie, who said the story was "all too familiar." After making multiple trips from the third floor to our car with our luggage and coolers, I spoke with Julie and learned she was just filling in. She was actually the sales and special events manager for the hotel. I gave her my sincerest sympathy; she cancelled our room charge. No, that wasn't the final chapter. As we prepared to leave, my wife poured two cups of coffee from the urns in the lobby but couldn't find any lids. The breakfast service woman said she would get some from the storage room. That's right! They were out of lids!
My wife and I really liked most things about our stay at the hotel. The bed was comfy and the room was very clean. The hotel overall was very clean and modern. The breakfast was one of the better free ones we have come across in years of traveling. The only bummer was the heater in the room. It sounded like the bearings were going out on the blower fan, so everytime the fan kicked on, which was often (it was below zero outside), it was extremely noisy. I would stay again, as I figure the fan issue was probably an isolated issue.
The first night, I was given a room on the first floor, and the bed was not made well. The next morning, a hot breakfast was ready to enjoy. Two nights later, I was given a room on the 4th floor, and the bed was made very well. I did not eat the hot breakfast. The morning staff was very kind and friendly. The night staff not kind or friendly.
We made our reservations online for a King suite. When we arrived to our room it had 2 queen size beds...that were unmade, obviously never cleaned after the last people that stayed there. We went back to the desk and were told they were booked full after the gal looked at her screen about 10 minutes without saying anything to us. Then after saying they were full she told us she would "upgrade" us. We got to our room and it was a King suite which is what we originally made our reservation for. Breakfast was so-so. They no longer have hot oatmeal and the gravy for the biscuits was runny like water. Very unimpressed with this stay. Also, we always receive an email after our stay asking how they did...we did not receive an email this time. Guessing they didn't want to know.
I have stayed in this hotel for severa years and it WAS my go to when traveling for work and for family trips. It has been about 2 years since I stayed in this hotel and those 2 years haven't been very good to the hotel. The carpet in the first floor hallway is dirty and stained. The really cool water feature in the Lobby/ breakfast area wasn't working and looked very dingy the furniture was as scratched , stained and dirty looking . The buttons in the elevator are all but unreadable.. the second floor had several lights that were either broken, missing the lens or flickered like a strobe light. Even with the poor lighting you could see the peeling wallpaper missing ceiling tiles and dirty carpet was becoming a theme on the second floor.. inside my room 240 the wallpaper issues continued. The bed appeared lumpy (I did actually sleep okay) so I t may have been the comforter . The inside of the bathroom door appeared to be scratched up by a pet of some kind that was locked in the room( despite the no pet policy). I also echo the concerns about the pool even though it's out of season clean it cover it or something. The breakfast remained very good as it had been in the past. I hope the owners realize that they need to invest some money here. The location is very handy it would be a shame to see this location to continue down hill.
Pool looked nasty. I understand wintertime. However, the pool looks like it was never cleaned. I have a pool and can keep it clean during winter. Looks like it is no longer used. Arrived late and front door was locked. The front desk staff did not look happy that I arrived, and I was bothering them. First bed in room 200 leaned lower to the right at the head side of the bed. This made me feel my feet where higher than my head.
I think for the age of this hotel, it was fairly good, despite very antiquated furnishings period if you don't mind overlooking the 70s, style furniture and atrocious carpeting, it is clean and quite bigger than a regular hotel room, with a sitting area and kitchenette. Everything worked properly a little updating would be nice as when we drove up I was not impressed with how it looked from the outside… Had I not already had nonrefundable booking I wouldn't have stayed here just based on what it look like from the outside.
My car was keyed in the parking lot, our toilet overflowed all over our room and into the hallway, the telephone in our room didn't work to call the front desk for help, and maintenance didn't come for over an hour. Front desk was I'll-equipped to handled all the things going wrong here. By biggest complaint is there was not a single apology for what we endured, and we couldn't get a full refund on the spot because there was no manager on duty all weekend.
We've stayed here twice so I can confidently say you should look elsewhere for your stay. It's tempting with the price and you may (like many of the positive reviews) have an ok experience for the money. BUT you also might experience a police chase in the parking lot and hotel, get checked in and charged twice for one room, get bumped because they're booked (ie so many rooms closed due to maintenance issues), have water that leaks from an upstairs toilet into your room, among many other small issues. On top of that their customer service is TERRIBLE!
The area where this hotel is located made us uneasy. There was however an bright street light we could park under outside our window. There was a lot of traffic through the parking lot and this didn't make since, the hotel only has one side street to get into it and you have to travel through a convenience store parking lot to get to the hotel. We didn't rest because cars kept stopping in the parking lot like they were checking out all the parked cars. The room was cramped and smelled musty. I usually stay at BW hotels, but this really disappointed me for a Plus. Normally I stay in Plus because they are usually nicer than the regular BW. The staff made me feel like I bothered them to be checking in.
Lots of things to do within walking distance. Nice place to stay. I would give it two thumbs up. You need to try their cookies at night and their full breakfast in the morning. Beds and bathroom are very nice and clean. Plenty of towels and show things to use.
As long as freeway noise doesn't bother you, this hotel was adequate. We had a couple issues in the bathroom which should have been an easy fix but weren't taken care of. Bathtub drain didn't stay open during shower and the showerhead was not great.
My daughter and I had a magical reunion in Wichita and enjoyed a first class experience at the Best Western Plus Airport. Staff were friendly and helpful, coffee was always fresh, and food was tasty. Perfect location to get to east or west sides with ease. Will stay here again!!
Manager Aaron Girrens he's very rude and he don't care about customers. he taking bad word on the customers back. Also is on bad mod all the time, Also since when he take over as a manager. if you forget something on the room, forget it because the housekeeper not return the items to the front desk and the manager not do anything about it.
We like to stay here when in Wichita. It's a very clean, comfortable room with good sleeping mattress! The help is friendly & helpful. The breakfast is delicious! We haven't used fitness room but it looks nice also.
The hotel was clean, we got in late and we were greeted by a very friendly welcoming Girl at the desk. Breakfast was above and beyond. Rooms are great, beds are very comfortable. No complaints here. Highly recommend!
Hotel is nice and clean, great breakfast, cold and clean rooms, and great staff. Looking for a hotel close to the road and amenities, this is your place to stay. Extremely close to the freeway and gas station. Really great place to stop and stay for your needs.
This is our go-to Hotel when visiting Wichita, KS. We try visit multiple people while in town so the location of the hotel is a definite plus!! The breakfast is great!! We have stayed here many times and we are never disappointed.
Very courteous staff. Room was clean and had comfortable beds. We had a very early 5:30am flight and the shuttle was very accommodating by being ready at 4:15am. We used the park and fly service and it was really nice to find out that if you stay the night before your flight you can leave your car there for up to 7 days for no charge. Thank you Best Western!
Here for College visit - staff was welcoming and kind; room was clean and had comfortable beds; lots of choices on delicious breakfast where staff attentive & area very clean (also had soup offered at night!). We had a quiet, safe stay for 2 nights. Next time we are in Wichita, we will stay here again.
Traveling as family with three Autistic children ages 5, 8, and 10 had very late check in 2:38 AM my family sent directly to room that was already occupied by people. Thankful children and wife not shot for disturbing occupants. Having worked in a Hotel I can see how this happens. The room they gave us had many issues. 1) The toliet required me to place my hands into the tank to wiggle float so it would flush. 2) The closet doocame off the track and about fell on my oldest son. 3) My daughter said, " Daddy, what are these neat bugs on the wall?" The neat bugs just happened to be roaches. I killed one the other one got away, but while I was searching for it 4) I found what appeared to be a dried dog turd. 5) I would have called the front desk, alas the phone didn't work so I went to the front desk approximately 3:00 AM and they gave me the card key to another room. I went back to tell everyone but they where all asleep. I didn't mention that there was a bag of garbage left by the garbage can that stayed there until the cleaning period the next day, and three old milk containers by the fire exit across from the door to our new room we were given. They were still there when we left. It wouldn't surprise me if they are still there as I write this review. When my wife woke up I gave her the key to the new room. After, I had moved everything to the new room and went to use the bathroom I discovered that there was no toliet paper holder. I asked her why she didn't tell me earlier. She said, "Hey the toliet works and this was minor. I didn't see any bugs." As I said earlier, I have worked in the hotel industry before. If this happened to a customer I would have comped the whole room for the first night. However, I know there are charges associated with the room so I was willing to split the difference in rate to reach an equitable resolution for the amount of inconvenience and costs associated with readying rooms. Their policy is "you stay you pay full rate." My recommendations don't stay. If you must stay avoid Third floor. Any signs of trouble leave immediately if not sooner. There are times when the whole city is booked, if you are forced to stay may the rooms you get be bearable for you. Please note the pictures of the pool on this site are misleading. The pool does not have the number of hand rails shown. Only my two older children were able to use the pool because of this. Remember that Best Western brands are independently owned and operated. When I contacted them about the situation they did all they could to remedy the situation. The "Manager" sent the young Desk Clerk to deliver the "full pay if you stay philosophy" with the "all or nothing" clause. She was visibly nervous and shaking as she was conveying this policy. Making the clerk do the dirty work was very offensive to me. This whole review could have been avoided by calling me and not ignoring the issue. I never raised my voice or was disrespectful in my efforts to resolve this issue. I will be staying at Best Western properties in the future just not this one. Good luck and safe travels. Cast your economic votes wisely (decide who deserves the dollars you work hard for and think of money as a measure of value. Value is not an all or nothing proposition.)
The stay was good. The front desk staff was a little on the cranky side, but it was also really busy. The tub faucet ran a pencil sized stream the whole time, but everything else in the room worked great. The breakfast was one of the best I have had at any Best Western. I will stay here again.
Traveling solo can sometimes be difficult but this hotel was well located, quiet, comfortable, and safe. Would definitely stay here again. Though near the freeway, never any noise. Shower was good once I figured out how to get it working (needs a bit of attention). Clean. Comfortable bed. Great stay.
This hotel is our go to hotel when we go visit our daughter at college. It is clean and personnel are extremely friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. The price is reasonable.
nothing fancy, but overall clean and comfortable. I travel with a service dog and they have a no pet policy. There was zero issue to bring my dog except for the front desk asking for the paperwork for my service dog. When I informed her that there is no paperwork for a service dog she was ok with my answer and continued to check us in. Did the online express check in and didn't notice it speeding up the check in.
I traveled with my brother to spend time with nephew and family see museum and my for them to fly on B 29 bomber. The hotel is always clean and comfortable. The breakfast is top notch and the smell of fresh baked cookies is very welcoming when you walk in the door always my best place to stay
The front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. The lobby and hallways were clean and fresh. Unfortunately, my room was musty smelling and the pool was dirty and perhaps under repair. Since grandkids were going to be joining us, we relocated to another nearby motel.
One of the main reasons we booked this hotel stay was because of the pool. Imagine our surprise and disappointment when we learned it wasn't working. We were not notified before check in and wouldn't have found out unless we asked. No discount or anything was offered to make it right. For this reasons, we will not stay here again and are also recommending others to stay away. I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because the breakfast was decent.
Pool is closed for LONG TIME!!! We never got to u se it. I had to go to different hotel where my friends are staying to take kids to swimming which was very inconvenient. A/C broke down and lobby was extremely hot for three days. I've asked room service two times and no one came. The rooms are dirty, and A/C is full of dust. I immediately had allergic reaction in a day. I will not return here.
Good place to stay. Convenient to the restaurant we were having a birthday get together. Royce checked us in and was extremely courteous and professional. The property needs some TLC, weeds and overall appearance made me a little hesitant about staying but all reviews were good. The lobby and breakfast area were a little overly warm I'm guessing they had an AC issue. Overall it was a wonderful stay and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
We have stayed at this hotel many times. It's always a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and efficient. The rooms are always nice and clean, and the COOKIES at the desk, always a welcome treat. Only had two "negatives" in our stay. One...the pool wasn't open, due to a back-ordered part. That is certainly something you cant blame on the hotel, but still disappointing. Secondly, as Awards Members, it USED to be the policy that we were allowed to choose a couple of "complimentary" items from the Pantry. Apparently, that is no longer being done. Certainly not a huge deal, but again, a bit disappointing. Overall...a good stay and will be back.
We had booked an air bnb. Never again. They are not policed by the same health standards that hotels are. This hotel saved us from a moldy basement environment. Plus it was during festival and the price was reasonable. Great people Great food. Convenient location. Clean and very helpful. Would definitely stay again.
I was really happy with my stay except the shower curtain was not good at keeping water from flooding the floor. The sink faucet spout was too short. I couldn't fit my hand under it without touching the side of the sink. Sink counter is too high. Bathroom needs ventilation. Gets too fogged up after a shower and odor has no where to go. Breakfast ends too early. Some of us work late and don't eat breakfast until 10am.
I stayed for one night, went to the airport, my flight was canceled, so I returned for a second night. I never considered going to a different place because this one was great. The staff were totally helpful, relaxed and friendly, the shuttle picked me up again after dropping me off, and the overall experience was completely positive.
This hotel treats me like a king. I stay here whenever I am in town and the breakfast is amazing. I don't use the pool as it is not heated but I still lay out on the poolside area. The fitness center is great too. Usually quiet, nice clean rooms, and very comfy.
When we go to Wichita this is a hotel we don't hesitate to stay at. It is clean and a good value for the money spent. We know exactly what we are going to get when we stay here, so we don't think twice about reserving a room. There are other hotels that match the quality and amenities but usually at a higher price. Thank you BW.
I've stayed here several times over the past 5 or 6 years. As the years have gone by the hotel is aging. There were several items I noted that needed attention. The front panel of the AC would not stay on, the shower had leaked spraying water on the wall, the refrigerator wasn't working, the breakfast was average hotel food at best. Just was not up to what I had experienced here in the past.
They always recognize us and make us feel at home. It is centrally located and they provide shuttle rides to events, the airport and even restaurants. We always try to stay here...but make reservations because sometimes they fill up fast.
Very clean room, excellent night's sleep & great breakfast! So normal feeling after the past 2 years....enjoyed our stay. Staff was very friendly. They keep the maintenance up on this location & the price wasn't skyrocketed like alot have done since covid. Thanks!
We had a one night stay for the Thunder hockey game and the hotel was nice and clean and the location was great for the game. Our room was at the end of the hall and it was very quiet. We would stay here again when in the area
I'll start by saying I'm a Best Western guy. I know that some properties are better than others. When I pulled up to this location, I was thinking it may be one of the less-than properties. I had suggested it to a business colleague and was feeling a little worried about my selection. However, all misgivings started to evaporate when I pulled in the parking lot and saw an EV charging station right up front. I was pretty fired up about that (I drive a plug-in hybrid). The good feelings just kept coming as I walked into the lobby. It was very clean and had a nice, midwestern, decor. Got checked in quickly, partly due to using the BW app ahead of time. Got to my room and was once again very pleased. CLEAN was the first thing I noticed. I was very glad to see that. The beds were comfortable, and the clincher was, that the pillows were FIRM. Thank you, thank you, thank, you, for not buying into the myth that American travelers want cloud-soft pillows. Slept like a baby the night before a huge business presentation. Colleague and I met for breakfast (standard fare, served from 6-9) and one of the first things out of his mouth was how surprised he was by how nice and clean the rooms were. I was so relieved. I knew BW wouldn't let me down. We went and delivered one hell of a pitch to our prospects but failed to get the deal. Nonetheless, when I do come back to Wichita, I will definitely return to this BW property. Conveniently located and had all I need. Job well done!
Easy parking, easy check-in, honored my request for a quiet top floor room, very clean, oversized and soft bath, towels, great room size and setup, I loved the big chair and ottoman and there was plenty of space to spread out and work and relax, comfortable bed, satisfactory breakfast, good coffee, lots of restaurants etc close by, easy to get to interstate, safe…I was worried about booking at Best Western. I've not stayed in one in a long time. And very recently I've spent double on “safer” hotel brands and have been so disappointed by cleanliness and service and quality. I was pleasantly surprised by this stay and would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again when I'm in town visiting family.
It was a great place to stay with a convenient location to the interstate highway. Breakfast offered many choices. The room was clean and provided a quiet, safe place to stay. Coffee and cookies were available in the entry. We would definitely stay again if traveling this way.
Clean, no bugs, hot breakfast, friendly staff, great deals, PLUS there is a CINNABON within walking distance. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the bathroom. Floor wasn't sticky. I hate all hotel floors.
This is a really nice hotel at a great price. Very clean. Friendly staff. I'd give it 5 stars but the bed was a little to firm for me. Guess it wasn't broke in enough yet. I wish I could have experienced the breakfast but left too early.
Had a great weeks stay. I travel for a living. This was my first stay here. Was back in the area Twins . Stayed there both time everything was great. The only thing they need is microwave in all the rooms. Will stay when I am back in that area. Thanks bestwestern witchita KS.
We traveled from Colorado during a snow and ice storm so was glad to find a place to stay for the night. As a BW platinum card member, I was able to stay here for almost free. The young lady at the desk was ok, not overly friendly, but nice. It was great to see some cookies at the desk and advised there was a SOUP OF THE DAY! Wasn't expecting soup, but wow, very welcome. Our room was nice, large, clean, not updated but not bad. Went to the exercise room and couldn't spend any time there due to an odd smell (natural gas/sewage). Went to get ice since the fridge didn't have a freezer and the 1st floor ice machine wasn't working. The 2nd floor was but the smell on the second floor was offensive, sewage smelling. There were areas that definitely needed maintenance and updating but again, for free, not too bad.
The check in process and the room itself were fine, but the hallway on the second floor smelled strongly of sewage. Thankfully the smell didn't make it into the room, but it was very unpleasant going to and coming from the room.
Had a very nice Breakfast, it was hot and had a wide variety of foods. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Location was easy to get to and parking lot well lit with plenty of parking. Overall a good hotel for a good price.
Very nice place! Clean! Best breakfast! Hot food and not just waffles. Courteous staff! nice snack as we arrived after a long time driving. Well lit parking lot. Toilet issues but they said they were going to take care of it. I would definitely stay again!
The Best Western Airport Wichita is clean and attractive. The bed was very comfortable and the complimentary breakfast offered many options. We will stay there again when we visit Wichita. Our room appeared to have been recently redecorated, but our bathroom was a little scuffed.
We've stayed here at least 6 times over the last few year. It's very clean and well kept. Rooms are clean and quiet-bed comfortable and good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Excellent free breakfast. Free shuttle. It's close to several very good restaurants. Probably the best hotel for the price we've found anywhere.
Shredded shower curtain, no protective bag for ice bucket (attendant gave waste basket bag), ice machine inop, bed comforter was visibly lumpy, bedside light inop. Desk attendant was minimally helpful at check-in and resolving reported problems. I'm a Best Western Platinum member and this was the worst property I've ever stayed in.
Wife and I decided to stay here since we would be in town. The breakfast was the best we have of any BW. There were some issues which we told the front desk. This were not taken care of. We had requested 1st floor and were given 2nd floor. Requested 2 extra pile and were given none. The toilet paper roll dispenser was missing. One of the lights didn't work.. let front desk know and things were not fixed. How can a hoyle not have any extra pillows. There was a strange smell in the elevator that isn't pleasant and couldn't put our finger on. The beds were very comfortable. There bathroom needs work. There was a Crack in the shower/ bathtub. Also b the grout needs class as b There is some black. Also when taking a shower, there is water that runs out onto the floor.
We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. Only missed a microwave to warm my coffee that I dilute with water. The breakfast was a wonderful surprise. They offered anything you could want. Both hot or cold choices. Even hard boiled eggs and Silk almond milk in the refrigerator. Not just raisins for the oatmeal. But cranraisins too with slivered almonds. Anyway, a nice room with amazing breakfast choices. We will visit again. Ruth
This was our second stay at this hotel during a 10-night trip across the southwest and midwest for the holidays. All nights were spent in Best Western hotels so an easy comparison can be made. The hotel and room were clean. The beds were very comfortable. I truly appreciated how quiet our room was. This hotel offered the best breakfast and other amenities compared to all the other Best Western facilities we utilized during our trip.
I was impressed by the friendly staff. Close to where Family lives. Easy access good breakfast. The room was nice and quiet. I definitely will stay here when I return. Every question that I asked was answered.
I've always stayed at Best Westerns when I travel. They are affordable and clean with great freebies like Breakfast and WiFi. This was another great experience. The staff was pleasant and the hotel was very stylish. I loved the fact the pool wasn't indoors. It allowed a place to relax in the sun even if it wasn't available for swimming (only open June - Sept). It was nice to enjoy the fresh air. Even though we were by the airport, it wasn't overly crowded or loud (planes flying by) and that was an added bonus. Breakfast ❤️: WOW! You'll want to give it a go. Eggs, ham, waffles, healthy options, biscuits, holy moly. It was a delightful experience of fresh and delicious food. Our room had a fridge (good size) and full size microwave which was convenient (we went to dinner Friday night and were able to reheat the leftovers). Our bed was comfortable and the bathroom stocked with fresh towels and delightful toiletries that were natural so I could use them without skin irritation. We didn't actually utilize housekeeping for our short stay, but we saw them in the halls and they were all friendly and smiling (even while wearing masks). My favorite part of our stay was the quietness at night. No constant doors slamming or talkative people keeping us awake. Even the morning allowed for extra R&R which was great! If you're planning a stay in Wichita, I highly recommend booking here. You won't be disappointed.
I stayed for two weeks. This BestWestern Plus delivered consistent quality. Staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was one of the best in the business. The room was clean and had everything I needed. I would stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
Found a roach in our hotel room and the front desk staff was extremely unhelpful about how to handle it. Was simply told the maintenance staff would be alerted. No apology no offer to remedy the situation.
Great service and breakfast. We'll stay again if we make our way back through Wichita. It is convenient to restaurants and the freeway, so it made life a lot easier by virtue of its location. It also felt safe.
I stayed at the Best Western Plus Wichita Airport for 5 nights during the end of September 2021 due to a death in my family. I previously stayed here in 2017/2018 and each time the experience was amazing-- great food, staff, and service. HOWEVER, that was not the case during my most recent stay. It is clear that in the past 3 years there has been some significant changes in staff and management b/c the service at this location was absolutely horrible. 1. The hall smelled like pickle juice. 2. The toilet overflowed and I was told to plunge my own toilet (of course I refused). 3. Then they switched my room but made me come down stairs to get the key although the new room was across the hall AND the staff knew I was getting dressed for a funeral service. 4. Staff NEVER once apologized for the issues with the room/toilet. 5. A simple "I'm so sorry or my apology for your experience and how can we make this better", would have went a long way. 6. Constantly used Covid-29 as an excuse for why they could not resolve our issues. 7. All of this happened to a Diamond Rewards Member. So think to yourself, if this location will treat a Diamond Rewards Member like this imagine how they treat all of their guests! YIKES!!!! smh
The room was clean and in good condition. The bathroom was in very good condition. Beds were good. I know that is a subjective part of a hotel review. The building is beside a major road through town but you don't hear the traffic. Many people stayed that night, based on the cars in the parking lot, but the place was quiet. Breakfast had a nice selection of traditional hot and cold foods. Service was good. The woman at the counter when we checked in was super sweet. Great stay. A Taco John's and convenience store is a very short walk. There are other places that only need a short drive. I don't know if I'll get back to Wichita, but I will keep this place in mind.
Clean, good breakfast, quiet. Location ok but not within walking distance to eating/shopping. I always dislike the noisy wall AC unit but it works best for sleeping if you can maintain the fan instead of cycling on and off.
I stayed three nights here for business and the front desk staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great. The selection was good and the homemade cinnamon rolls were a nice surprise. The room was very clean. I'll definitely be staying here again.
Front desk staff is amazing. I want a shout out to Jaine! She made sure we were able to get a refund from travel app since they gave me an unusable confirmation code. She made sure we were booked matching travel app price. Will always book directly with this hotel in advance. Looking forward to my next visit to Wichita, KS!!
great.clean.nice staff.convenient location just a bit tight with other buildings and such.even being right by highway room was quiet a little bright but not bad. clip curtain shut with hanger and you're fine
This hotel was great for a quick, overnight stay. Friendly service, good breakfast, nice room, good price. It's an older hotel that has been remodeled, but the bathroom still needed some attention. The shower curtain was tattered, and so were our towels. I wouldn't stay here if I was staying more than one night, but we were only here for about 8 hours, and for that amount of time it was perfect.
The girls at the front desk were wonderful! Especially Nia! She had such a genuine and helpful attitude. We are missing that in todays world. I had worked with the General Mgr. many times in the past and she is wonderful also! I will be back they make me feel like family!
The hotel is clean and pleasant. It's right on the freeway and has a nice, well-stocked gas-station convenience store right next door. The breakfast is better than normal for a hotel - eggs, potatoes, sausage, cereal, etc. The staff are kind and helpful. A good experience - I recommend!
We moved to THREE different rooms because there was mold in the air conditioning vents. The room smelled horrible, it was so dingy. The bed covers were lumpy, the shower curtain was ripped at the top all the way across and at the bottom. The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast and staff was extremely nice, that's it!!
No air conditioning in common areas or breakfast area. And air conditioners in rooms were sketchy. Lots of broken things in hotel and needs updating terribly. Staff was friendly and worked with what they had
I really enjoyed the hotel which I felt had up-to-date amenities and which had, though not so much a scenic location, a very practical one. Very clean. Within walking distance of a gas station and restaurants and on a street (West) that has lots of stores, shops and restaurants close by. I had a great stay!
Great customer service, helpful and understanding. Much better than another BW about 8-9 miles further down the same highway in the same town. THe place is clean, people nice, easy in and out of the parking lot, fantastic high-speed internet.
We stayed in different hotels in nebraska, utah, arizona, new mexico, and kansas during our trip. Best Western Plus at Wichita was the best one! It has no odor, clean, spacious, and had a good price as well! I'm very happy for my stay there.
We were in town for a softball tournament. This hotel was convenient for both softball fields. The beds were comfy and pillows were great which made for a great nights sleep. Coffee and breakfast were really good.
Clean, great value for the price. Location was fine as well, convenient to the highway. Why do I have to write 200 characters I don't have much else to say lol. Breakfast was adequate but probably good for a hotel breakfast. Oh good I used enough characters now, goodbye!
I recently stayed over 4th of July weekend. Guest service was great, the front desk worker noticed I was solo and asked if I wanted to change my 2 Queen beds to a king for the same price. I was on the third floor and it was quiet. I ate breakfast on my last day there and I'm disappointed I didn't get up early the other days to have breakfast. Variety of options from waffles, sausage, eggs, bagels, cereals, yogurt bar, etc. Definitely could use some cleaning and smell goods by the back entry/exit door. I didn't go into the pool but my window faced it and it seemed cleaned and had plenty of chairs. Plenty of fast food options by like Taco johns, spangles, McDonald's,etc. Hotel is located right by the highway for easy access. In the room they have refrigerator, microwave, tv, cable, hair dryer and keiug coffee pot.
The hotel is older and could use a refresh. The neighborhood is not the best and there was shady activity going on throughout the day/evening/night. The staff at the desk were very nice. The breakfast was great and the breakfast to go bags were a nice option to have.
This Hotel was fantastic. It is in a nice area of town and close to the airport. Starting with the front dest. Janena was very professional and friendly. I was treated as though I was a special guest. It was quick and effortless. Julie was very helpful in planning my stay. She was very interested in learning any of my interest and needs. The room was very comfortable and CLEAN. I loved the comfort of the bed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great, great value!
During an overnight stay (at our favorite hotel in Wichita) due to a medical appointment, we were greeted by the front desk staff, had a quick check-in and made our way to our comfortable room. I've reviewed this hotel more than once, so I'm reviewing again because we prefer to stay here over all others. The rooms are consistently clean and quiet. The staff is friendly. We've visited with the General Manager, Aaron, in the past and found him to be professional and very involved with running the hotel in a smooth manner with the guest's comfort being a priority. On the morning of our check-out, staff was getting ready to close the breakfast buffet for the day. But when we asked, a staff member re-opened the buffet room so we could grab a quick bite. I was able to get what I like best here, the scrambled eggs. Simply excellent! Also some juice and other goodies. It was so kind of the staff member to allow this. Another plus... the parking area. We like that it's well lit, spacious and safe. You can pay more, but you won't get more for your money than at this comfy hotel. My wife and I recommend it.
It started at check in. Staff stated they didn't have our expedia reservation even though we had confirmation emails and text messages. They said it happens with expedia sometimes. Maybe that's true, but we also wondered if really the hotel forgot click the right buttons, so to speak, sent by Expedia. We had to cancel with Expedia and the get a room from the hotel directly. They did give us the same rate. After that, it's the story of a thousand little things. 1, 2, or 3 of any of these on their own would not have been a big to-do, but all together made it seem like a pretty sub-par establishment. The tub faucet was not any where near flush with the wall. When you pulled up the diverter to turn the shower head on, it only diverted 50-70% of the water. This created weak pressure at the shower head and annoying spraying out of the faucet. The bathtub could not drain anywhere near the speed of water coming out and I repeated made sure I didn't accidentally step on and stop up the drain. Because the water pooled, our grime tended to collect at the top of the tub and stay there which is a bit gross. The shower walls looked like they had spackled over repairs done and there was caulking at the corners that looked like some guy watched a youtube video once that day and tried caulking for the first time ever. The shower curtain was literally ragged where it attaches to the shower rings and at every single ring. It should have been replaced months, maybe even years, ago. The lights in the room were mostly replaced with bright white florescent bulbs. I know they save money, but are annoying on the eyes. Luckily two lamps used a yellow hue so we didn't have to live with the bright white ones. The furniture in the breakfast area seemed like it was a used purchase from another hotel doing things right. A chair had a giant lump on one side. A couch/booth/thing was had the color where people usually sit WORN AWAY! How old is a piece of pleathered furniture when enough butts have graced over it that the color is gone?! It also had no support, but was tolerable. Every one of the tables were also unbalanced. The nail in the coffin was being woken up at 3:30 am our last night to all the smoke detectors chirping. The hotel had somehow lost power to certain areas, but not others. Most of our lights didn't work, the clock was off, but one overhead light worked as did the fridge and the television. The smoked detector chirped due to main power being cut and pushing the test button, which it audibly told you to do every 5 minutes did not work. I finally went downstairs to see what could be done. Many of the lights were off on the way down and I discovered that somebody had gotten stuck in one of the two elevators. Their front desk guy, Royce, was doing everything he could and apparently receiving no support from owners. Luckily, he did know how to take down the smoke detector without it omitting a shrill consistent cry which other guests were experiencing. We eventually got back to bed, but had to ignore the smoke detectors going off in unused rooms which did not have a guest to complain about them. Breakfast was decent, though. And I hope Royce tries to find a position elsewhere. he was the only good part besides breakfast.
Microwave in room but not plugged in and no where to plug in. Pool not open. I would probably stay there again though if I had too the room was clean and it was quite. The beds were a bit hard for me but that's preference.
The beds were decent, the breakfast had a very decent selection if the oven was working. But it wasn't. So eggs, and waffles, toast and cereal. There was a vagrant sleeping in the vestibule as we were walking out in the morning, and there are PLENTY walking through the parking lot and at the gas station that shares a parking lot. The front desk was courteous, the decor is dark. It has been renovated and looks decent. But it is an old building with lipstick. Would have been nice to see light and cheery rather than the dark hallways and colors. On our final night we did however see roaches on the 3rd floor. House keeping did not change towels, do garbages or anything of that sort on consecutive nights that we were staying. However the windows do fully open (with no screens) so that was actually nice to air out the stuffiness. I don't think it's the worst place I have ever stayed. However I think we expected more/better given the reviews. It was very close to what we needed to be by while in Wichita. So that is a big plus.
Plenty of guests walking around without masks. Not enforced at all. Overall, the place was clean and I didn't feel unsafe, so it was fine. The beds were average as was the tub/shower. It was fine for a one-night stay on the way.
The room was clean and the breakfast was great, however, we were very disappointed that the pool was not ready and open on the Memorial Day holiday weekend. My son and I were really looking forward to swimming during our 3-night stay, and we ended up having to find the local YMCA to swim, several miles away.
Exceeded my expectations on everything will absolutely stay again beds could be a little more comfortable and the pillows were a bit too hard other than those two things it was great front staff awesome
I was there 3 nights and had to move rooms twice due to a broken TV and dirty room, then a sewage odor in the second room in the middle of the night, then baby roaches in the third room. The rooms were inconsistent with furniture and lighting and microwave/coffee machines. Staff was friendly and moved me quickly but I was never offered any compensation for my troubles. This hotel is in desperate need of a face lift in the rooms, elevators and hallways. Hotel not located in a great part of town but is super close to several fast food places and the airport.
We've stayed here before and always been pleased. Convenient location, just minutes to airport. Wide range of eateries in the areaVery clean property, pleasant check in staff. We participate in the Best Western rewards program, and this stay was free.
Upon check in we were moved to 3 rooms. In the first room it looked like the bed had been slept in. The second room did not have a working tv. The third room had a small, dead black bug in the bed. I would not stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay. Check in was quick. Hotel was clean and front desk people were very helpful. Breakfast was good. Great value. Location was convenient for our trip. Overall great experience and will definitely recommend it.
We are treated like family here! Everyone is so friendly and the hotel is a great value! Breakfast is being served again and is always top quality. You will not be disappointed! Comfortable beds and plenty of room!
This hotel has the friendliest and most helpful staff. From Royce to the front desk who made yummy cookies and checked in on me to Justin who drove me in the shuttle and was so knowledgeable about the area. Anyone coming to Wichita should stay here!!
Late check in and early check out. Very clean and felt safe in regards to Covid. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in morning looked and smelled good. I just had a bagel so can't really comment more.
We enjoyed our stay. No complaints. The staff was so friendly and helpful. All areas were super clean. Our room was nice looking and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The location was close to plenty of resturants and shopping. We will be coming back to the area a lot now the our grandkids are in the area. We will always stay here.
We were on the top floor and our room was basically overrun with ants and spiders. It was absolutely disgusting. The people at the front desk were super nice and apologized about it when we told them, but it's still gross. Check behind the chairs if you go! There were chunks of food and so many spider webs left from the room not being properly cleaned for what looked like a LONG time and the ants and spiders were all around the room due to improper cleaning.
Great place to stay. Very nice and helpful staff. Having the shuttle take us to the airport and back was great. Will definitely be staying here again. Highly recommend it. Having Red Lobster right across the street was great too.
This is the third time I was in Wichita and stayed all 3 times at this Best Western. The people are nice and will help in any way they can. I had a grandchild come stay a couple of nights and they welcomed her too.
best place to stay for short trips or long trips they go out of there way to help in any way they can. even with covid they help a lot. hot breakfast even with covid going on. we stay there at least once a month & love it.
Very quick check in, very clean facilities, and Rochelle at the front desk answering all my questions. The breakfast is better than average and you get a selection, and we received everything we wanted.
Excellent location . Clean rooms . Would definitely recommend! Food and shopping close and it's right if the interstate. Quite and clean. Very close to walking distance for food. Staff was very nice and let me check in early.
I was a last flight arrival and the airport stores were closed. Shuttle driver was nice enough to carry me to a convenient store and fast food drive through on the way to the motel. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. I will stay there again if back in Wichita.
The staff were friendly and patient when we informed them the heater in our room was so loud we had to shout to hear. They graciously moved us twice but the heaters are just loud. Bed was comfy. Bathtub spout worked but was loose and spun around. Shower head was wonderful. Breakfast was bagged and ok, but "toast" was just bread, not toasted. Price was low, so it was ok, but not great.
I had stayed here last October so I knew the property. Check in was easy, as was check out. Room was clean, linens were clean and not worn out. Bed slept well. As I checked in, I was presented a menu to indicate what I wanted for breakfast the next morning. You could get a pastry and fruit breakfast or a "hardy" breakfast: microwave sausage, egg and cheese biscuit and several other choices from different columns of the menu. I got double boiled eggs. Now this beats the heck out of the generic, one-size-fits-all brown bag breakfast that I encountered at other chains. I didn't even bother with the one from the previous morning after being told what was in the bag. I'm diabetic and sweet rolls and muffins just don't cut it. So I was quite pleased to see this property going the extra mile to help their guests!
Third time for our family to stay at this Best Western and we're never disappointed. Check-in was great - very friendly and efficient. Wish they had been offering their normal breakfast but the selection they had for their grab-n-go options gave us a wide variety to choose from. Only downside of stay was a slight sewer drain smell in hallway - otherwise stay was great.
The lobby was very nice, but the room was a big disappointment. The carpet in the room was filthy, the chair with an ottoman in the room desperately needed to be shampooed. The furniture was old, and all scratched up. The scariest part of the stay was the side door of the hotel did not need a key to enter the hotel.
Clean rooms and commn areas and the staff are always nice and helpful. The breakfast was tasty and fresh. Easy access to all areas of the city. Right off the highway but never have been bothered by traffic noise. All stays at this location have been great with no problems whatsoever.
Have stayed here several times find staff and accommodations to be upper tier. Great place to recharge before long flights or after long flights. The check out time is 12 pm but is apparently is too late for the maid who raps her keys on the door at 9-9:30am and continues every 30 minutes till your gone. After very little sleep was looking forward to sleep in a bit but no chance of that with the “hello” and “tap, tap, tap”. So rude and irritating seems out of character for such a nice place.
This hotel does not value its Rewards members by offering 'best rate' when asked...your 'loyalty' does not count. The only Covid protocols visible were the desk and then only to protect the help. The rooms had no indication of Covid precautions..signs, seals, notices etc. TV should have been replaced due to damaged screen... just not a hotel where the guest experience seemed important.
Have stayed at this location many times over the years. It has always been an affordable option that seemed like a great deal compared to other hotels like it. This last stay we had the most uncomfortable bed and the heating/cooling in the room was not working right and was making the temp in the room uncomfortable. Hoping this is just a one time fluke. Have highly recommended this hotel in the past and will probably give it another shot but am worried this hotel could be sliding on its quality. Guess we will see if we stay there again. Love the location with easy access to the west side of Wichita, the airport and central wichita.
Staff and accommodations are excellent. Recently changed breakfast menu due to comments from guests. As a long time guest at this location, I was very upset as the new menu that supposedly offered more items for guests was horrible and didn't support my diabetic diet or are unpalatable.
This hotel is super easy to get to off of US-54. The room was fine, sleep was good. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful. The location is close to the downtown area so you can get to about anywhere in town from here.
We arrived Sunday and upon check in were given a room on the 3rd floor. We hauled all our luggage up to the 3rd floor, and upon arriving at the room, I could hear a loud tv on inside the door. I knocked and the young couple there said it was their room! So I hauled everything back to the front desk and told them of the situation. No problem, she said, and gave us another room on 2nd floor. Upon arriving at that room, we could see that there was a "do not disturb" hanger on door. So again, I went to the front desk and had to be given keys to a 3rd room. This room was finally unoccupied and ready for us. Even with the room mix ups, it was a good place to rest and very quiet. We would stay here again.
They assisted us with check in, manager contacted us upon arrival and both Jaina and manager were so kind. I will be using this hotel again when i go through the town over any other hotel. They made the experience warm and welcoming. Thank you again for the arrangements you assisted us with.
We only stayed one night but the staff called ahead of our arrival to let us know their water heater stopped working for the night. They were offering full refunds or discounts. We took the discount as we were traveling already at the time. Water heater was up and working the next day. Minor inconvenience for us. The hotel is beautiful in the lobby. Decorated for fall & the peaceful sound of water running. The staff was friendly. Our room was clean & the bathroom had a great lighting which we appreciate since my daughter is a dancer. It's the little things. All lights, plugs and appliances worked. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of pillows. Easy checkout. I would definitely stay here again.
Staff was very friendly and helpful I cant remember this one Front desk staff name she went above and beyond her her duties to make sure I was ok. Bed was so comfortable, room clean and fresh. Would stay here again when I am in the area
my second time staying at this location .The front desk have very friendly staff .. even with covid they try to make your stay as comfortable as they can .. room was very clean .. breakfast snacks where available in ziplock bags .. Thank you Roshelle and Jaine for making our stay pleasant
I didn't have any bad thing to say about this place. I stayed here less than a month ago and it was good. During this pandemic time, it was clean and the people were nice. They even called the first day to see how the room was. Nice.
This hotel is very clean, I love staying here specially because of the breakfast and the price was very low comparing to other days so it was amazing. Got it through booking.com on Saturday afternoon to stay on the same day and it had rooms available, so that worked perfect. Very well located.
I gave 4 stars just for a couple of small not overly significant items. The overall stay was really very good. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. The front desk attendants were extremely nice and accommodating. I realize the breakfast situation is due to COVID, however, the grab 'n go is a bit lacking to be honest. The only other suggestion I'd like to give is perhaps thinking of changing your coffee creamer packets provided in the rooms. It really is not good creamer. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again. The 2 small things were not enough to be a deterrent. Thanks for making our stay good!
Amazingly helpful and courteous staff. Hotel amenities were also upscale. Bed was really comfortable. Parking lot was well lit. About the only disappointment was the grab-and-go breakfast was no where to be seen. We showed up about 0900 am on Sunday knowing that breakfast ran until 1000 am and were informed that they were out. How does that happen when you have a pretty decent idea of how many people are staying the night? Will be back and have learnt that we'll need to head to breakfast as soon as it's open.
I travel a lot for business, and stay at a lot of hotels. I would say this property is by far my favorite. From the time that I check-in until when I check out, the staff treats me like they've known me forever. Lately I've had issues with my back. The Staff is aware of my pain and go out of their way to help me. The rooms are very nice. Especially the beds. The beds are extremely comfortable. The entire room is very clean. The indoor and outdoor pools are very enjoyable. Although I personally don't use the fitness room, it appears nice and very nicely equipped. The breakfast is very tasty and hot. I would like to recognize the Sales Manager Julie, the General Manager Aaron, and the ladies at the front desk Tamera and Janie. Wow, they are all remarkable. Also, the hotel is very easy to get to. Right off Hwy 400/Hwy 54. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, including my family and friends. Brent
The beds were very comfortable and rooms very clean. Everyone had masks on. Breakfast was a hot one. Everyone had to have gloves and a mask on to get food. Everyone was very nice. It is a very nice place to stay. Visit Cowtown Museum and Keeper of the plains. It is a very big town
Toilet handle was broken, no ventilation fan in bathroom, water pressure sucked, random things in the room were nasty sticky, we set the air conditioner to 60 degrees and it was still hot and humid in the room. The staff does not follow their own rules posted about only same groups in the elevator, we had an employee get on with us. We did not see any employees cleaning high touch areas.
Hotel was extremely clean and updated. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and even had free cookies at check in. They still offered a full free breakfast while still being safe and hygienic during Covid.
My family and I went here for a weekend get away and enjoyed it. Breakfast was delicious, pool was amazing, staff was awesome, the whole experience was just awesome! Definitely HIGHLY recommend! You won't regret it!
Great hotel with great amenities. The free breakfast exceeded our expectation. Nice, clean rooms and speedy check in and out. The only downside was getting washcloths. We checked in with 3 registered guests and only had 2 washcloths in our room. When we asked for more we were told it would be several hours because housekeeping wasn't there yet. We eventually had to request again and was told to come get them ourselves or else we would have to wait several more hours because the front desk clerk was "busy".
Great Hotel for families with kids! One of the few hotels with the pool open and a hot breakfast. Felt safe staying here with my family during COVID. Location was fantastic! Short drive to downtown Wichita.
The place was nice. The receptionist the night before (7/20) was really nice. I went to the lobby around 6:00 AM the next morning and the receptionist wasn't wearing a mask. We have to travel right now and we're meeting up with a relative who is Immunocompromised.
This was a last minute idea, and it was perfect in every way! The staff was very friendly and helpful. They seemed to value us being there from when we walked in the door, until we checked out. I had a need that was taken care of within minutes of notifying the staff member even though i was in the pool at the time when I saw the Maintenance Man. Room was very clean and well taken care of. we will return to this location again!
We have stay here more tines than I can remember....from birth of 13 grandkids to the latest trip to watch oldest get married. Customer service is top notch, very resonable prices, good breakfast, and bright clean rooms....thanks yet again for a wonderful stay at our home away from home.
This hotel is in a convenient location right off the highway. The room itself was a decent size and clean. There were 4 drawers to put clothes in, a microwave, coffeemaker, & good size fridge. There is lots of room on the counter in the bathroom & good water pressure in the shower. However, I had to ask for bath towels, the pillows were lumpy, the toilet kept running & had to be repaired (I will say it got done quickly). We were there for 2 days & our card key stopped working after day 1 & no apology from front desk staff at all for that. BUT all of that was just minor compared to the sound of a door slamming ALL NIGHT, BOTH NIGHTS! Our room was the last room in the hall, situated next to the exit door. I thought that was convenient for us to come & go but apparently the lock wasn't working and on our first night, a staff member was trying to fix it at 11:30 pm! He opened & slammed that door about 20 times! I finally opened my door & demanded to know how much longer I could expect to hear that door slam shut! He apologized & stated he was trying to fix it so that people couldn't just walk in off the street. I was tempted to ask the front desk to re-locate us but he stopped the slamming after I said something. I did hear the door again a few more times that night but not over & over in succession like before. The second night, I heard the exit door open & slam shut quite a few times over the course of the night & I figured it was likely the smokers in the building going out to smoke. Apparently if you let the door go, it slams shut. So, we got very little sleep either night. This was my birthday trip & I was really disappointed in this hotel. I did learn a valuable lesson though- never stay in the room next to the exit again!
My son and I stayed here over the weekend while in town for a baseball tournament. I had done my research and knew what to expect. This is a very good hotel. The staff at check in was very friendly and every encounter with staff members in the hotel was pleasant. Our room was clean and neat. However, I think there was a recliner/easy chair missing from a corner of the room as it was empty sans a lamp. But it didn't affect our stay any. The breakfast was okay, not the best; yet I feel like it's much better when not under COVID concerns. The entire hotel was fresh, clean, and a pleasant place to stay. When I stay in Wichita again for a tournament or whatever I am doing, I would be glad to stay here again.
was very satisfied with this stay. because we were impressed we cancelled reservations at another hotel to stay here again on the way home. next stay not as impressive. would still stay here again. person even called to make sure our room was acceptable.
Nothing to say about the hotel, except BRAVO! However, we were here for a college visit at the beginning of June. Although we entered wearing our masks, the employees were not. I don't understand why they are continuing to serve breakfast as a buffet without safeguards like: napkins so you don't have to touch the tongs, hand sanitizer beside every buffet container, etc. Again, this hotel is the bomb. Comfy beds. Clean. Pretty. But, we were a little disappointed that we seemed to be more concerned about COVID than they were.
My mom & I visit Wichita around this time every year & always stay here. We absolutely love the people & the location is perfect! It's Just as clean and comfortable as the much more expensive chains. We're so glad we discovered this Best Western Plus!!
Great spot to stay. Plenty of parking. Very clean tidy rooms. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Cannot fault the hotel. It was quiet and a good nights sleep. Everything there we needed travelling the highways of the USA.
In these trying time it was nice to stay at a safe place( knowing the staff was constantly cleaning) We stayed two nights and it was really enjoyable! We have stayed at this particular Best Western approximately 65 nights over the last 31/2 years and never have had a complaint!
Conveniently located, clean, comfortable hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are up to date. Amenities such as in room refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, desk, comfortable bed, and oversized lounge chair make this room extremely welcoming and comfortable! I highly recommend!
I am a travel nurse and I bounce between a couple hotels depending on my needs. I am always VERY satisfied with my stay at BW Airport. I have only had one complaint here... the toilet wouldn't flush this last time, the chain had come off, easy fix and no fault. The hotel is always clean, comfortable and stocked with anything I could need (even Keurig and pods!!!) They are always cheery when they greet me when I'm coming and going! I have never had an issue with things being broken (shower, Room locks...) that I've had other places that are MORE expensive! I never hear any noise from other rooms or outside (except the thunder and lightning storm this last time!). I will always return to BW Airport! When I checked in this last time I learned that they are giving discounts to frontline workers... just another reason they are amazing! Thank you BW WEST AIRPORT STAFF!! You are on the front line also! You are very appreciated!!! Keep it up!! ❤️
We stayed here in Wichita during a church conference it was a very busy time for the workers and they handled it very well, even though they were full to capacity. We were very impressed with the friendliness of the staff at this place. We felt that we received a very fair deal at this place.
This hotel was top notch. Quiet rooms, very clean, super breakfast (very important for me!), and very helpful, friendly staff! We were there for four nights and I experienced something I hadn't ever experienced before. The first night the shower drain wasn't working properly and as it's no fun showering in standing water, I just casually mentioned it in passing to the girl at the front desk. We left for the day and by the time we got back it was all taken care of and the drain working 100%!! You just can't beat that kind of service!! Thanks again, Best Western Plus Wichita West Airport Inn!! Oh, by the way, the beds are very comfortable and the price was a very great value!!
Great location, Friendly staff. Nicely appointed hotel and very clean. Hot breakfast is good. Great value in today's market. Be a member of the BW rewards program and they have a gift for you at checkin.
These guys represent the "Best" in Best Western hotels. All areas from check in to room cleanliness to breakfast offerings to the VERY BEST parking lot lighting. All the staff members were helpful and courteous Kudos to the GM Aaron Girrens and the staff he has assembled
This hotel was a good value. The location is very convenient to the 54/400 bypass. The property is fine. The breakfast was exceptional. I really like to put fruit and whipped cream on my waffle. Most places have stopped stocking these items, but this property has not stopped. It was wonderful. The staff were very helpful and allowed me a late checkout.
We were spending one night here to pick up a puppy and then drive home to MSP. I chose it for the location near the airport and free shuttle. So the shuttle never arrived even though I called at noon and gave them our flight number. Flight arrived 30 minutes early (and let the hotel know and was told it would be 30 minutes) ; we ended up waiting outside in the cold for over an hour. I called the front desk 3 different times and was told, it's coming.... needless to say we were cold and frustrated. The Front Desk Manager was very apologetic when we arrived, Tamera and upgraded and comped our room to my surprise and delight. She went above and beyond to make us happy. We has a nice stay and room and facilities were clean and nicely equipped. (slight smell of smoke is the only complaint) I would stay here again.
Great example of Best Western. We were offered both the snack bag and points at check in. We were in a room with two queen beds and a large bathroom. They offered cookies and soup at 3 pm so we didn't have to go out for dinner. Breakfast was very good with eggs and ham, sausage, french toast sticks and the other usual items.
Outer appearance of building is just OK, inside looks great. We got in our room quickly. Room was nice our first day. The second day we smelled cigarette smoke throughout the halls, and then our room started to smell of it too. By midnight it was overpowering. When we called down to the front office they tried to tell us that they didn't know where it was coming from as one room was empty and the other was business men sleeping. We were offered a new room and when we tried the empty room next to us it reeked of cigarettes. The second room was fine, but they did not extend our late checkout, so we have housekeeping coming into the room telling us we were not supposed to be in there according to their paperwork.
Great place to stay. Great service. Comfortable bed. Free shuttle within a certain distance. Staff are very caring knowledgable. This is the 3rd time staying here. If available will pick this over other hotels.
Highly recommend this BW+. Clean quiet tastefully remodeled hotel. Free shuttle within 5 miles. Friendly staff...free breakfast soup at supper and fresh baked cookies at night. The staff is always cleaning somewhere regardless of the time of day. We always stay here when in the area.
Great experience! Front desk staff was helpful and wonderful. I would definitely return. Room was very clean, breakfast was delicious and had a great variety. Close to highway and many restaurants as well as fast food.
Good location off the interstate. Very welcoming exterior and clean interior (lobby, hallways). Rooms were spacious and clean. Several breakfast choices of hot, cold, pastries. Received a call a few hours after check-in to see that everything was satisfactory. Would definitely stay again.
Besides a lack of parking, it was a great stay! The lobby, halls, and rooms were super clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was really good and they kept the hot food out much later than most hotels. We are staying there again next month for another concert.
We had a girl's night for a George strait concert. We had a blast and the hotel was great! Very clean and super friendly staff. And breakfast was one of the best! The beds were so comfy. We will for sure stay here again if we are ever in wichita again!
I hate to say how good of place this is to stay as I would hate to see it fill up and not have room. Staff is exceptionally friendly helpful and entertaining. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Great breakfast. I would highly recommend
This is a very nice hotel. Lobby looks good and is well maintained. Room was very clean with plenty of space and drawers. Fitness center is small but has high quality equipment that is in good condition. Complimentary breakfast has a nice variety of items. Coffee is always fresh and available in the lobby (very important for me). Close to airport but quiet location. Staff is friendly and helpful. I have stayed here several times and will always go back when I am in Wichita.
The Best Western Plus at the Wichita Airport was a great hotel at a very affordable price! The continental breakfast was really good and the staff at the hotel (including those manning the breakfast area, the housekeepers, the shuttle driver, and the front desk staff) were all wonderful, nice, and very helpful! Also the fresh baked cookies at the reception desk were really, really tasty! Overall I had a very positive experience staying in this hotel.
Close to the airport but did not hear planes. Restaurants close and the casino is only 20 minutes away if you want to unwind after work. Rooms were clean breakfast was a great start to the day. And parking was free
Easy to find hotel. Beautiful lobby and friendly staff. Checked in mid afternoon and were told there was hot chicken rice soup and cookies and to help ourselves. We did try the coffee- tea kiosk by the front desk at 8:30 pm and found all liquids barely warm. Rooms were clean and updated. Beds comfy but pillows were too overstuffed and almost hard. Otherwise, it was a perfect place situated close to things we wanted to do.
This place was fantastic! They were very accommodating with my odd check in time (3am) and a family of five, the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very helpful. It's in a convenient location right off the highway. Its close to restaurants, gas stations and a shopping center.
The hotel is located close to the airport. Restaurants are located around the area of hotel. The best western hotel was clean on outside the lobby was clean and up to date. When checking in the staff was great.room was great real nice. Had a great breakfast and easy check out . Thanks best western.
I would like to thank all the hotel staff for their service. Ms.Tamerra who works at the front desk is very kind, efficient and always had a smile on her face! Ms. Janena, the front desk manager, was also kind and very professional. Kayla and Angie were helpful and so cordial. I also desire to thank the shuttle drivers, Mr. Andy and Mr.Marcus. They know how to treat the guest in a nice and respectful way. The housekeepers did a great job in my room. The housekeepers were Graciela and Laura. The breakfast was good and the staff very nice. I am also thankful to Ms.Julie Hill for her hospitality. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all the Best Western Plus West Wichita staff!! Thank you for your great service!! God bless you all!!
Checking in was fast and all the staff was very helpful. Even the lady at the desk that rang my room to see if it was anything that I needed, and to see if everything was okay with my stay so far. They even had the shuttle take the members of my group to a restaurant and pick us up after dinner. A great service.
This was our first stay at the Best Western Plus Wichita West Airport Inn, but I hope it will not be our last. Although this is not a new property, it is obvious that the staff care about its appearance. It has been well maintained, and despite its location just off of busy Kellogg Drive, it was quiet. We requested a room at the back of the hotel on a high floor and received exactly what we had asked for! The room was a nice size and was very clean. It included a Keurig, and a tray on which we found bottled water and chocolates--a "sweet" touch! The bed was very comfortable. The staff seemed to truly care about guests. When I realized I had forgotten a toiletry, I called down to the desk to see if it was available; shortly afterward, when I went downstairs, the staff already had not one but two of them ready and waiting. Perhaps the best feature of this hotel, besides its modest price, is the breakfast buffet. I cannot say enough good things about this breakfast! This was one of the tastiest hotel meals we have had anywhere. It included multiple fresh, hot items including real eggs (I saw them in the shell as I walked by the kitchen), fried potatoes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, and a selection of baked items plus juice and coffee--and perhaps more that I have forgotten. It was my third hotel in a week, but the best breakfast and service BY FAR! We typically stay on the NE side of Wichita; however, I hope we can regularly stay here since it is exceptional in many ways.
We came here for a single night in Wichita, as we made our way Northwest to Hutchinson to visit the Cosmosphere and Strataca. If you're visiting or passing through, this is a great option to stay with comfortable rooms, a great hot/continental breakfast, and other nice amenities. We had kids with us and they thoroughly enjoyed the pool and breakfast. The beds were comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful with whatever we need. There's also a shuttle service with a very nice driver, who offered to drive us to and from downtown Wichita. I know we will want to visit the Cosmosphere and Strataca again in the future and we will make sure to come back to this Best Western.
Upon arriving Angel the front desk gal greeted us with a very kind smile and already had our stuff to go! We had called ahead to see if we could check in a bit early and she gladly let us! This was such a wonderful hotel. This will probably be my top hotel in Wichita
Their breakfast bar included old-fashioned oatmeal kept hot in a Crock-Pot, which is a nice change from packets, and and their "robust" coffee is less weak than standard motel coffee. The staff keep the breakfast bar--and--rooms, etc. very clean, and they are very friendly and professional. Short Lyft ride from airport.
The room was huge had Jacuzzi was very clean and then Help is awesome I would definitely come back again in fact I just rented the room for a second time in a row today No only that the people downstairs at the desk are great and helpful and even brought me a fan because I couldn't sleep when it's too quiet LOL
Quick but kind and patient service by Angel at the front desk. Clean room and quiet hallways. Complementary breakfast that was full of many options. Food was fresh and eating area was clean and well maintained. I would return. Thank you.
Enjoyed the welcoming reception we received by staff. Check in was extremely fast. They even called up to the room after check in to make sure everything was okay. Great location, but hard to get to parking lot due to construction,
The staff makes this place great. The facility is in excellent condition as well. I have stayed in this particular hotel at least 25 times, and it's very consistent. I can count on a quick check-in, a clean and modern bathroom, comfortable beds, caring staff, and a decent breakfast in a very nice lobby area. Wichita has plenty of options for lodging, but I keep coming back to this hotel. No need to switch up when I'm perfectly content at this BW Plus.
One of the best things of traveling with my soccer team is to stay in hotels during these trips. Before arriving to the hotel, we start asking ourselves: "Will the hotel be good? How will be the the breakfast, and what about the beds? Will the hotel have pool and gym? Even though you can call to the hotel and ask all these things, you never know what you will find once you arrive to the hotel. Best western Plus Wichita achieved all my expectations. The employees, the service, the breakfast, everything was right. I strongly recommend you this hotel because you will have a nice experience during your stay in this hotel.
Excellent stay. I was here for a conference. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Room was clean. I would definitely return to this hotel the next time I am in Wichita. Thanks for a great stay.
This is the most comfortable, nicest Best Western I have ever seen. Large rooms, great beds, very well maintained the facility and great staff. The breakfast is top-notch, better than most higher-priced hotels. There is simply no downside to this place. I hope I have an excuse to stay here again!
We always stay at this hotel when we go see our son who goes to college in Wichita. The staff is always friendly and the rooms are always clean. The only problem we've experienced was this last time there no parking by the time we got there to check in.
Customer service is excellent. Breakfast above average. Rooms clean & neat. Facility well maintained. Repeat customer. Location good and easy to get to. If it wasn't a good stop I wouldn't have stayed here as a repeat customer.
Been staying here for years and plan on continuing for years to come....front desk, manager, customer relations are top rate....never had a bad stay, no complaints, friendly staff, resonably price, great free breakfast....what else could you posdibly want?....centrally located with plenty of free well lit parking.....no other place comes close.....highy recommended.....
We stayed here on Wednesday night on our road trip around a Kansas. It was the least expensive of the hotels we stayed at, but you wouldn't no it by the amenities the hotel has. It was beautifully decorated, the front desk employees were very pleasant and helpful (the fresh baked cookies were a nice touch!), the rooms were very comfortable, and the free breakfast was very good. They had French toast sticks which I have never found at a hotel breakfast before. I would stay here again if I were in Wichita.
Stayed there 2 weeks prior for an early flight departure in the morning. Shuttle service convenient and they kept my car. Arrived late 2 weeks later late at night after extensive travel. Shuttle service timely and convenient to a wonderful rest and a delightful breakfast. Found I had an incorrect bag, and their shuttle service helped me swap bags with the appropriate local individual so I could return home in a timely manner with all my bags. Service above and beyond!
Drove from texas to kansas for a concert and loved staying at best western plus! The bed was very comfy and the breakfast was pretty good too. I will definitely make sure I stay here the next time I'm driving up for a concert!
Recently stayed at BestWestern Plus Airport, Wichita, Ks. Had a nice 3 day stay. Beds were comfortable, room was exceptionally clean. Very well priced. Breakfast was better than most cafes in the area. Lots of amenities for the price. Will stay there again.
Affordable, quiet, well kept and clean. Parking with a trailer wasn't accessible. Rooms were clean. Housekeeping came around too early. Air conditioner was noisy. Microwave was unplugged and we couldn't find a close outlet for it.
Very nice place to stay after a long travel (or otherwise). Beautiful room, comfortable bed and plenty of room to relax. We ordered pizza to be delivered because we were weary from travel and did not want to go back out. I did not see a restaurant within walking distance, However, there were some near by to drive to. They provided a good breakfast. The staff was outstanding. Easy off and on I70. Would certainly recommend!
This is one of the best places we have stayed in anyywhere. Every single staff person was friendly and helpful. If you needed directions they gave you directions. If you needed to buy a water they gave you a water. One night I need milk for my cereal. They gave me milk and even some raisins. Our microwave was unplugged and we couldn't get behind the chest to plug it in. Maintenance was there in under five minutes. The manager was always visible and making sure you had what you needed. The breakfasts were always fresh with 6 hot items plus many more each morning. We don't see how you could find a better place to say. Rates were very reasonable too. Also, free shuttle to the airport. We highly recommend this Best Western.
We have stayed here once a year, usually for 3 nights, for the past five years for a conference. We have always felt it was very good, but I now have to call it GREAT or AWESOME. The staff was so courteous and went out of their way to meet all of our needs, and did so with joy. This place was a tremendous value for our stay.
Stayed here 2 nights. Appreciated the work out room and hospitality of women at the front desk. Tamerra and Makayla were so sweet to open conference room for us to use for a while. Very accommodating. Cookies available now arrival and a great breakfast.
The staff makes you feel like it's home not a motel. If there's anything you need they will everything they can to get it for you, or help you find where you can get it. The rooms are clean & well stocked with stuff you need. The breakfast if really good, you can even go back as many times as you want for more.
This hotel was quiet. This was also in a convient location TV was a bit small Everything was very good, need more carts for check-in, checkout Restaurants selection/ availability was very good Accessible to freeway good Construction at one entrance not good
Love this place; definitely will be returning here on an annual basis for our religious order's general chapter meeting. Rooms are very clean, staff is friendly and quite courteous: they go out of their way to ensure that the guest is satisfied with all aspects of their respective visit.
I've been Roading Tripping for 5 weeks through 10 different states. During my travels Best Western has been my lodging choice. Their Wichita West Airport Inn should be recognized as Best Westerns “Flagship”. Every aspect of rating hotels is a 10 for them. It all started with an employee named Makayla who greeted me when I walked into the lobby.
I was the host of a meeting and the room was great. Seemed like it was full due to a baseball/basketball travellng team. Breakfast was good. Check in check out was easy. The location is decent, but there is construction and it was hard to see from the highway and also the detours weren't really visible until you were going that direction.
The Best Western Plus Wichita West Airport Inn has earned the right to be my go-to hotel for an annual group of 25-30 and any other hotel bookings locally. They are accommodating, friendly, and eager to make my guests time in the ICT as great as possible. Their location is easy to get in and out of and their airport shuttle never misses a ride! If you aren't checking in to them, you are missing out!
Wonderful staff and very clean hotel. Good breakfast selections. Staff goes above and beyond to help the guests. I will definitely be staying here anytime I am in the area. Good location in regards to restaurants, downtown, St. Francis hospital and the airport.
BW Wichita West is my favorite of all BW locations! Friendly staff and very good food make it a true value. Our religious order will use this location for annual meetings for the foreseeable future. Well done BW Wichita West!
Love this Best Western. Our only choice and it is quick driving distance to anything. Our son attends Friends University so its only a five minute drive as well. Close enough to down town we can take the scenic route and enjoy the sites.
Fantastic stay! Every employee that we encountered greeted us. Made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Hotel inside and out exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was fantastic with so many choices. Next to busy streets, but it did not effect our stay. If in area again, will sure stay here.
Friendly staff, quick check in, clean room, comfy bed! I highly recommend staying here! The only drawback is nearby construction which can't be blamed on BW. Don't forget, treat yourself and get the Jacuzzi room. :)
We love this Motel. They are all very friendly and recognize us when we come in. Best Motel in Wichita. They even have a shuttle service for all of our needs. Centrally located and perfect for leisure or business.
The front desk staff was kind and accommodating. Hospitality at its best. The room had sufficient access to electrical receptacles and usb ports. The front desk staff called the room after arrival to confirm that nothing was lacking or needed. The cable television functioned, offered adequate channel options. I heard no road noise.
We stay in Wichita at least 10 to 15 times a year oh, and this was our first experience at this hotel. The service was absolutely excellent from the moment we checked in to when we checked out the following day. Andy, the driver for the shuttle was very polite and professional and informative. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast had a very nice variety especially for being complimentary. We have found a new place to stay when we travel to Wichita!
Quiet location was perfect for me during a family emergency visit to Wichita. The room was very well laid out and bed comfortable. Housekeeping refreshed the room perfectly each day. All Staff greeting me and were friendly. The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating during my stressful visit. Price was reasonable
Whether business or pleasure I highly recommend the Wichita West Airport property Aaron (GM) and the entire staff do a outstanding job ! From the front desk associates to the housekeeping associates as well as the shuttle drivers make you feel like family Breakfast options are endless
Needing to establish a base for frequent visits to Wichita, just installed one grand daughter there at Friends Univ. This was our first selection for good reviews and near the school. Was not disappointed: very clean, rooms well kept, excellent breakfast, staff friendly. We will be back. Only complaint is all of the taxing authorities in Kansas = 18% tax on room.
It's been several years since we stayed at this hotel. It's still a nice quiet spot to spend the night in Wichita. Parking was a major problem the night we were there - ended up parking on the street in front of the hotel with a lot of others. I don't really know where they could add more parking but it would be a good addition to this nice hotel. Staff was friendly but Sunday morning I went down to get a newspaper. There were no papers - the gal behind the desk said she was supposed to pick them up on her way to work and she didn't do it. Well, rats - nothing I love more than my Sunday paper with breakfast. Speaking of breakfast - it was really crowded seating wise. The food was fine- typical free food for hotel breakfasts-make your own waffle, cereal, scrambled eggs, link sausages, etc. This was a little more $$ than we usually pay for our nights in Wichita but it was a special occasion so we splurged this time. We'll probably be back again another time.
The hotel was very modern, clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. It's easy access off of the highway, but the parking was a bit interesting since it was so full the night we were there. The only complaint I have was the morning breakfast staff were too busy talking to one another than providing customer service. Not once did they get up to do anything or even acknowledge us. Another nice thing is it's very easy to access the highway heading to OKC. I would definitely stay there again if we are in Wichita.
I rarely write reviews, but I had to write this one. The hotel was booked on Priceline and I got a very competitive price, and ended up staying several days longer because it was such a nice stay. It was clean, friendly, and has a great breakfast.
We had a pleasant visit on our first visit in May of this year but have a few different comments this time. Firstly, our room was NOT cleaned the first day out. We had a makeup room sign up, too. Monday thru Thursday construction workers favor this hotel so parking can be scarce. Breakfast is good but gets a little boring after 4 days. One of the outside doors does not open with your key both stays. Overall one of Wichita's best as many in the under$100/a night are old and outdated plus the east side of town has more selection. FYI: Kellogg is raised so you can see property but hard to find.
First floor room near back of hotel was VERY CLEAN, comfortable temp upon arrival, and nice layout. Very similar to Hampton Inn (my hotel of choice) so I was happy with this. Aesthetically first impressions could be improved:The phone was broken and could be heard when sitting on the bed, the plastic number cover was askew, the lamp shade between the beds was very tilted, the kleenex was out in the bathroom, the bedding is very visually lumpy (but the beds ended up being decent). Minor, I was given a connecting room and didn't know beforehand (don't like them). Options to choose your room at booking or upon arrival would be a great feature. PROBLEMS: The shower pools water at your feet in the bathtub which really grosses me out, I couldn't get warm/hot water from the sink faucet at any time (maybe me but I tried multiple handle positions), the phone (rm 125) was broken so I had to unplug it to get the dial tone to stop, the window unit needs a constant fan option -woke me up every time it turned off/on (light sleeper issues), the window was illuminated by the bright light behind it- need better window treatments. Bedding was lumpy but the bed was decent. Front desk staff was attentive, always present at the counter when I walked by, and very helpful upon arrival with my gluten free breakfast questions. I was directed to ask staff in the a.m. and told they have gluten friendly options and that they would know. When I did ask, there was a language barrier, so I pointed to the sign that says gluten friendly options/ask and said "no wheat?" and she just shook her head and said sorry and offered the oatmeal. I knew the potatoes were okay from the night staff checking so I ate those and some eggs. I had been excited about the sign and the night staff response, but this was disappointing. Get this communication worked out and you'll have an "up" on the Hampton b/c they do nothing for gluten free options. Finally, the market area was extremely limited with lots of space for food and none in it. I was hungry and it was late and the only options were some candy bars and chips, soda. The frozen/fridge section was empty of all meals, and no popcorn or rice cakes or anything healthy-ish. I would stay here again but I'd rather stay at the Hampton. A few improvements though and this could be a hotel of choice. This is not a 3 star hotel and I am surprised at the high rating given my experience, BUT They are VERY CLEAN, and friendly, and I almost gave a 4 star for that alone.
The front desk was extremely kind and helpful...the rooms were clean, and the breakfast area was nice as well. We arrived after 1 am and Tamara (I think her name was)ensured our check in was fast...and our room was waiting for us. The ice machines worked (yeah) and were placed so that they did not make much noise when they dropped ice...we never had a problem getting ice. Would have loved to have washing machines/ dryers in the hotel. James, who provided service during breakfast, proved to be friendly, helpful and accommodating...went out of his way to find syrup for us...The hotel even left the breakfast out an hour past the stated end time...which was very helpful.
The check in was fast, easy and believe it or not, enjoyable.. The staff were very friendly. The food was very good. Cranberry chocolate chip cookies were great! The rooms were up to par with high-end hotels. The pool looked clean and was always being used, not too many but at least 1 person was there.
We were on our way home from Colorado and needed a place to overnight, so I booked a room here with my rewards points. We arrived after midnight, but the lady at the desk was super friendly, acknowledged my reward member status, and quickly got us our keys and other information we needed. The room was nice, the bed was comfy, and breakfast was good - all things we've come to expect from the Best Western brand.
From the minute we stepped in the door we felt at home. The young man who checked us in was delightful. He was more than accommodating and so polite. The room was clean and spacious. The mattress was sooo comfortable. On our bed was a letter from the hotel owner welcoming us and gave his cell phone number if there were any problems not resolved in a reasonable amount of time. The breakfast was awesome! Omelets prepared to my wishes and freshly cooked by a chef. Check-out was a breeze. Awesome hotel. Would definitely recommend to my friends and my wife and I would stay here again!
This is such a beautiful property with extra touches like free cookies, soup, and grab bags, that I wish I had been able to stay longer. We were only in one evening, and flying out in the morning, but the staff was so pleasant and thorough in any interaction. We will definitely stay here again, and I recommend it highly.
Super clean, friendly staff, has shuttle service that gave us a ride to a restaurant in a rain storm and picked us up when we finished are meal. Very nice room, great bed and good selection of pillows. Big breakfast was included as well, lots of choices including hot food, very good, top notch staff and kitchen. All motels should be like this one.
I was pleasantly surprised at the value and quality of my 2 night stay . The room was comfortable and the breakfast selections were delicious. I will definitely consider Best Western Plus as my hotel choice next time I travel
The hotel was very nice. Great location, rooms were nicely appointed, clean. Complimentary breakfast was good. Staff was very nice and helpful. First time to Wichita. I was there for a bowling tournament. The only challenge I encountered is that we found a few ants on the night stand and desk. I would have given the hotel less stars but after making them aware of the situation, they graciously credited me one night's stay. I would definitely stay here again.
Outside was well kept, staff was very friendly and accommodating, bed was very comfortable. I will most definitely be staying here again while visiting Wichita. There are tons of food spots within walking distance to the hotel as well as coffee places such as Starbucks and Dunkin.
This is the only hotel in Wichita I will consider staying in. The entire staff was always extremely accommodating and pleasant. Special recognition to Makayla and Angel for brightening my days. Thank you for all you did for me on my business trip. Love the nightly soup and the breakfast is spot on!
Don't get me wrong, the value is great. However, it's not in a good location, and the lighting and interior colors of the hotel give it a 70's vibe. The internet worked very well and the rooms were nice and so was the staff.
Another hobby weekend in a meeting room. Had a great time and great experience at hotel. This was our second time to do this. We have already booked again this year. We will continue to do this at this hotel as long as we have this great service.
The front staff was exceptional. The were very helpful and accommodating. Nice pool area. Breakfast was very good with an assortment of items both hot and cold. Rooms were clean, however the cleaning staff did not come into the rooms every day.
The front desk guy was very nice, check in and check out was a breeze. That's about the only nice thing this property has to offer. The outside is totally trashed, beer cans, old food rappers, peeling paint. The outside looks like this place is run down and full of squatters. Inside the room (where things really matter) GROSS! SAve your coin for somewhere else! The beds are comfy and the air works good. Otherwise, the shower doesn't drain, the toilet was inoperable when we checked in. Theres a hole in the ceiling, it smelled so bad in our room it seeped into our clothes for the next day. Like stale cigarettes and lingering water. If it hadn't of been prepaid we would have gone somewhere else.
Due to airport closures I had to spend the night in Wichita and be close to the airport for a 5am flight the next morning. I saw the great reviews so decided to stay here rather than some other places a little closer. I was pleasantly surprised from the moment I got into the van until the van dropped me off the next morning. The driver was the nicest man named Andy. Check in was easy and quick. My room was quiet and very very clean. Bed was very comfy. I could not have asked for a better place to stay.
Aaron and his team and the Hotel is simply the best. We don't, won't stay anywhere else when we visit Wichita --- Welcoming, friendly clean with good beds and great breakfast and soup in the evening if want something lite but filling.
I used to use Priceline to find the best deal and I got burnt a couple of times with that. This time I checked Priceline and a couple of the others and then just checked the BW website. The prices were all the same so I just booked it through the hotel website. I will always stay at this hotel in the future. It is fantastic!
Lovely updated rooms with excellent customer service. The hotel has a free shuttle that will take you downtown and pick you up. We were stuck in Wichita after a canceled flight, and this little side trip ended up being a blessing in disguise. We were dropped off at Old Town, ate lunch at The Kitchen (inexpensive and we rated it a 5*), then walked to the river monuments and the Keeper of the Plains (a must-see). The airport shuttle came and picked us up on the other side of the river. And we got a mid-day phone call asking how we were doing. Great attentive customer service. I don't know the hotel front desk attendant's name, but she had blonde wavy hair:) Just a delight!
I stayed at the Best Western Plus Wichita West Airport Inn during a recent business trip. I booked here because of the magical combination of a reasonable price and ultra-positive reviews. Overall I'm not DISAPPOINTED but it's...Nothing more than average for the brand. In fact, this particular hotel USED to be a Hampton Inn so I was curious as to what would be new and what would be hold-over. As it turns out, the air conditioner was definitely a noisy 90s hold-over...If I wanted to sleep, I had to put it on "constant fan" to drown out both the considerable highway noise and the chug chug chug it was making on its own. Positives: WI-FI. The Wi-Fi was great making easy to work remotely. Also, the desk staff was friendly and efficient, parking was ample, the room was clean, the bed was alright, and the free breakfast was definitely free. I would very likely book here again if I end up back in Wichita and would recommend it to the value-conscious traveler.
The location, amenities and comfort of this hotel is great, but the hospitality of the staff ranks it above and beyond other places we've stayed in the area. From check in through check-out, we felt like we were valued and appreciated guests. There are lots of places that Wichita has to offer, and this was our first time staying here. We will be sure to check for availability with them first, before trying for the next best thing.
We chose this hotel based on having early free shuttle to the airport. We needed to leave at 5:00 am and that was fine. They also have complimentary cookies and soup which is a welcome touch! When we checked in, the lady at the front desk recognized us and welcomed us back. That makes a person feel good! Our room wasn't ready when we got there so we had to wait maybe 15 minutes. When we had checked in to our room we got a phone call from the front desk apologizing for the inconvenience. Another nice touch! I recommend this hotel for its customer service, cleanliness, great breakfast (couldn't take advantage of it this time because of early flight, but they did give us a to go sack breakfast), and close proximity to airport along with shuttle. We will definitely be back!
I had the opportunity to witness JENNIFER demonstrate complete mastery of front desk duties in a brief ten minute stint that would have made any general manager proud. She was awesome during the check in process, extremely personable, polite, and funny. Her knowledge and ability to problem solve came out as other guest came forward with issues in which she handled with ease and grace. It was easy to see how much she enjoyed her job as well as helping the guest. Thank you Jennifer for making such a positive impact on our stay at Best Western Plus Wichita. You rock!!
Very comfortable beds in a clean hotel. We experienced very friendly, helpful staff. Hot breakfast included in price of room was great and had a good variety. Hot coffee available all day long in the lobby. We will be staying here again for future trips!
We came in late at night and Angel was so pleasant checking us in. It was a bit hard to find the correct turn in so make sure you follow your GPS. The Parking lot was full so we had to park in back but that worked out ok. The room was clean and had everything you needed. Breakfast was a good selection and the price was right.
When we arrived, Angel, the desk clerk, offered us soup and peanut butter cookies. Our bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was good. There were many charging outlets in the room. We were on the first floor but there is an elevator. Breakfast included scrambled eggs and sausages.
After a long day on the road it was wonderful to come to such a beautiful place! They were at capacity when we came late at night, but both Andy and Stephanie bent over backwards to fuss over us even though they were very busy. Andy was due to go home, but took the time to open up the kitchen for us just to get a fork for my daughter so she could eat her salad for dinner. Stephanie had been there since very early that morning (I think 6:30) and had not been able to leave the front desk because folks kept streaming in, yet she was kind and hard-working. There was also a wonderfully friendly gentleman (I didn't see his name tag) who gets up around 3AM every morning to have a break-FEAST out for everyone by 5AM. He couldn't have been more delightful and attentive. It seems pretty clear that the management has made hiring great staff a priority and hopefully they take good care of these wonderful people! The whole place seems to be serviced by a terrific team! We also loved the beautiful room and the AAA discount! Thanks much folks!
We enjoy staying here. Everyone is friendly and it's like one big happy family! Guest rooms/bath are clean, very comfortable bed. They serve a good breakfast which is presented nicely. There are usually 2 meats & 2 types of eggs plus hard boiled. Good coffee also!
We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness of the hotel. The breakfast was good. Jen and Angel at the front desk were very accommodating! Very friendly! And Andy was helpful and had great recommendations for dinner. Thank you for making our stay a very pleasant one!
My hotel to use when I travel. Excellent service, clean rooms, good breakfast. Everyone is accommodating. Location close to airport. Quick pickups to and from airport. Breakfast is in a nice setting. Close to several good restaurants and shopping center.
We love this hotel!!! The staff is always very friendly and the room is very comfortable! They have one of the best hot breakfasts we have had, keeping it stocked and replenished until the end of breakfast time! The beds and linens are super comfortable and the cable TV is good too! The rate is also very reasonable. We travel for college baseball games for several months out of the year and we always feel at home here! Highly recommend!!!
Stayed two nights on business. This is a very nice location. Staff was very friendly.Very good hot breakfast. Room on the third floor was very quiet. Good exercise room with ample equipment. Many dining locations nearby, but most are probably not walk-able because of the interstate and heavy traffic limiting the ability to cross streets. I would stay here again when traveling on business to Wichita.
We were traveling through Wichita and decided to spend the night. Pulled into the Best Western Plus, best decision ever. The young lady at the desk quickly got us a room and signed us up for the rewards program. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. We got such a good night sleep. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful. The staff in the breakfast area were friendly and prompt. They were very attentive and made sure things stayed full and tables were clean. The front desk staff both on check-in and check-out were Wonderful also. We would definitely be back and recommend that hotel to others.
Great place to stay as I travel all the time. In motels every week. They have it all. Customer service, good food (breakfast). Clean rooms and quite. Cusotmer service is good. Close to down town. Next to hwy 54.
I travel for my company (GT Midwest) and am always looking for a nice place to stay. This hotel was perfect. Clean, friendly, with convenient access to major highways. I couldn't ask for anything better!
Great breakfast items. Very friendly and courteous staff. Motel is very clean and quite a bargain price for the service they offer. I have stayed here many times and always very satisfied. Will definitely be staying here in the future.
The staff is wonderful. The breakfast is tasty. Price is good. Rooms are clean. Rooms are updated and nice Easy location to get to. Overall a very good choice for hotel accommodations! Yay for me, yay for you!
The hotel staffs were very helpful and they exude very pleasant attitude! They will actually accommodate and guide you from the checking in to checking out. Though our stay is short, it is well worth the stay and will definitely choose this hotel again for our next family vacation!
Staff were always pleasant, all facilities were clean and fresh and breakfast was hot and tasty. Loved the fresh baked cookies. I needed help with the computer to scan and send something and the staff took care of it for me.
Stayed here 2 evenings after flights. Have shuttle service to the airport. Staff is friendly and so helpful. Main desk, driver and kitchen included. If your looking for a light meal soup is available in the evenings. Also, served a chicken fried steak for breakfast. Perfect for diabetics needing protein without the salt of sausage or bacon. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking excellent! Thx for everything.
This might have been the very best hotel room value and purchase I've ever made. I reserved a king suite (I'm an early riser but wife isn't) and this one came with a whirlpool, wet bar, and a conference/banquet table that could seat six in addition to separate sleeping room for my wife. Hotel staff was courteous, helpful, and attentive to our requests. The parking lot has the the most outstanding lighting
We stayed here based on the reviews but were very disappointed. We booked through a very reputable online service but they had no reservation for us even though we had our reservation number and information. They did honor the price but took forever and mentioned that this happens often, Really???? When you walk into the room the bed looks lumpy but it is just the comforter. The bed was actually comfortable but the pillows were so full you get a neck ache. The TV had very poor service. No guide, no list of channels and some channels were cutting in and out. No movies to purchase either. Now if you're into fattening food this is your place. Soup apparently is served in the afternoon with cookies. Chocolates in the room which were high quality and we did enjoy. Breakfast however had polish sausage and chicken fried steak as the only meat options. I realize that some people would love that but not what we prefer.
We've stayed at this establishment a number of times and this stay was no exception. Good location, pleasant staff and exceptionally clean room as usual. The breakfast area is clean and well-maintained. We like the vast assortment of breakfast items available at this fine hotel. It's our preferred hotel when visiting Wichita. High points include a well-lit, spacious parking area, quiet rooms and a comfortable lobby. An exceptional value when compared to equivalent hotels belonging to other chains, We spoke to the manager, Aaron, before our departure when we met him in the lobby area, He was genuinely caring and inquired about our stay. We had nothing but positive comments to share with him. On our next trip to Wichita, we'll be back for another stay.
The food was excellent. Lots of choices for a hot or cold breakfast. The room was large and comfortable, we were on the highway side, but there was no highway noise. We have a hybrid electric car. They have a free charging station. That was really nice.
You can use the shuttle and free car parking before and after your flight. This cuts costs dramatically. The shuttle even came at 11:45 pm. The hotel is very clean and seems to be in a constant state of recleaning.
We have stayed here twice and feel that It is an excellent hotel. The rooms and breakfast were fabulous! The schuttle to the airport was dependable and promp! I would highly recommend this hotel for travel, for leisure, or any other reason!!!
Clean and comfortable room. Easy check in. Breakfast has a great selection, even chicken fried steak on Sunday morning. Will be staying here whenever we come to Wichita. Great hotel for the price! Son enjoyed great fitness room as well.
Just what you want - great quick check in - clean rooms attentive staff. Arriving late, and tired, Jennifer was on hand to facilitate the check in experience with no fuss. I hate doing these reviews, but on this occasion having spent more than 10 days away from home, I found it ironic that the best place to stay was on my last night. I had spent a lot more for some pretty poor service on the other side of town, and hence why I ended up at the Best Western Plus, which was ideally positioned for an early flight this morning.
One of the best breakfasts by far at any hotel I have ever stayed in. Good comfortable room at a good price . Location is nice for us as we have family on West side. The staff is really good great people to work with that try to make your stay comfortable.
The staff that work here make this place a very awesome place to stay. This place is very clean friendly atmosphere. All the staff make you feel welcome. Enjoyable breakfast nice comfy beds very clean rooms just all in all excellent I would recommend this place to everybody I know.
Staff is super friendly, specially Jennifer and Andy. They have both gone above and beyond to ensure that I have everything I need during my stay. The hotel has no restaurant on-site, but they provide a free shuttle service to any location within a 5 mile radius. Jennifer provided me with a list of restaurants within a 3 mile radius. Andy, the shuttle driver, is very friendly and reliable.
I have visited several hotels in my journey while being an airline employee and have never experience such service. Jennifer who works at the front desk was nothing shy of AMAZING.She was kind and actually listened to the guests. She went above and beyond the call of duty to help me with some important business I had to take care of. I wish every place I visited had a Jennifer. We live in a customer service driven based economy and employees like Jennifer is the reason why people come back. Thank you Jennifer for all that you have done I really appreciate it and look forward to coming back again in the near future. Prentice
I had a booking error made by Priceline and the gals at this hotel were able to fix it and accommodate me! The hotel was very clean, breakfast had so many options and it was good! The free coffee and hot chocolate in front was a bonus!!! I would recommend this hotel to everyone I know!
Nice hotel, clean and well organized. Pool is a little small but OK for my 9 year old granddaughter. Have stayed here before several years ago, beds are very comfortable. Gave us a late checkout of 12:30 pm.
Everyone from the front desk agent, to the housekeeper and breakfast attendant was friendly and overly helpful. The room was clean and quiet even overlooking the main road. If I had any complaint it would be about the pillows. They are extremely thick foam and not nearly as comfortable as feather/down. That's just a personal preference tho; wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
The hotel is spotless. They have a super helpful staff. The extremely comfortable bed provided good rest. There are many amenities. including a fully equipped workout room. Best of all?? They got me to the airport at 4 am!
This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in in Wichita. The staff was super friendly! Tiffany checked me in and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. The king suite is perfect for a business traveler.
Great hotel, value, customer service and room! Fresh baked cookies in the lobby were a wonderful touch! We've stayed multiple times and used the airport shuttle too, even at 3am! Always prompt and friendly! Just a great place all around!
From the friendly shuttle waiting for us when we arrived at the airport, to the extra amenities in the room (furniture style vanity in bath with storage, wooden lap desk on bed, etc.) to the amazing free breakfast (pastries, cereal, make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, fried steak and sausage, a yoghurt bar with choices of add ons, fresh fruit, endless coffee and tea, juice, etc, this motel is a class act. The manager actively engaged his guests at breakfast which was a nice touch. Certainly not the cookie cutter in and out experience we anticipated. We had two groups and all were raving about the place Work out room available; we didn't have time
This facility is quiet, clean, modern, and comfortable. It compares well with upscale facilities across the country, yet at moderate pricing which earns it a Best Value rating. In an industry where it is exceedingly difficult to provide a unique selling proposition for customers, this facility has achieved it with the volume and water pressure of the shower. If you are a frequent traveler, you will appreciate the Best Western Plus Airport in Wichita.
My wife and I enjoyed a great stay here recently. Check-in was fast and everyone was very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and breakfast was quite tasty. We will definitely stay here again the next time that we are in the area!
EXCELLENT hotel. Great breakfast and early hours. Most hotels start at 7. This Hotel started at 6. Great for early risers. Great friendly staff even had breakfast to go bags. Tricky finding the entrance from the interstate.
After 3 trips in 2 weeks for just 1 night stays, the BW+ will be our "go to" hotel in the Wichita area from now on. While others have been nice, they've also be a little on the pricier side. BW+ was very reasonable, super nice desk staff, rooms were clean and comfortable. If I had to say one negative, it's the fact that the A/C-Heater was a window unit and could get annoying, but once asleep, I never heard it again.
Very clean room! Went on a short business trip. Hotel staff from reservation person to the person taking care of the breakfast area were top notch. I've stayed here several times in the past and have always had excellent service. This particular motel is my go to when i am in Wichita. The only thing i would complain about is the road construction and you folks have no control on that front. Keep doin what you do cause you do it well!
To begin with they were really accommodating to all aspect of our stay.We love all the extra care they gave during our stay. The breakfast was amazing. The host was very friendly. The room where very clean and it was cleaned every day when we stepped out of the room.
In staying at this hotel, I found the comfort of home with the style of a resort. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The free breakfast provided a wide variety of choices and started the day just right.
Everything was perfect. Including the comfortable, compitent, friendly welcome from front desk person, Sasha, I think her name is. Everything spotless and attractive. I'm a frequent traveler. I switched to Best Western from LA Quinta and Red Roof Inn because of some of the horrors I've encountered under their name. I've not yet encountered a horror from Best Western but many are not nearly as nice as this one. Even the ones under the "Plus" name of their brand. Anyway, great place.
We stayed for two nights, and found the hotel to be clean, the staff very friendly and dutiful. We appreciated the complimentary soup in the evening, and the breakfast was very good! When in Wichita, we would definitely stay here again!
We had your normal expectations when making our stop for the night, but this place surpassed them. The front desk staff was friendly and informative. They had a map of the city and even an event calendar in the packet they gave us, which was very unexpected. The room was spacious and clean. No noise from the highway, even though you are right off it. The breakfast was a bit above average in quality and quantity as well. Would definitely stay here again if we are back in town. It's also half the price of down town hotels, while being less than 10 minutes away from them.
My husband and I drive across the country twice a year and stay in hotels along the way. This was one of the nicest: spacious, clean, well-kept, and recently renovated. Breakfast was reasonably good as well for this type of hotel. Would certainly stay here again.
I am a diamond member and stay in a lot of hotels. This one is the best hotel in Wichita. By far the nicest and clean. Makes you feel like your at a $500/night hotel. You will not be disappointed!!!!!
This hotel makes the ordinary breakfast delicious! It is presented nicely and neatly. The help is very accommodating & friendly. The tables are kept clean for the next users. Our guest room was ordinary but clean. the bed gave us a comfortable good night's rest. Bathroom was clean and fresh smelling, no urine smell like some places. Overall, the staff is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome.
This hotel more than met my expectations. ALL the employees were helpful and cheerful. Checkin was quick. The room was excellent. Breakfast offerings were plentiful and well prepared. A computer and printer were available when I needed them. Shuttle to the airport seemed new. When I left an article in the shuttle, the hotel called my wife to explain what was up. She called me just as I discovered I had left it behind to tell me they were on the way back to the airport to bring it to me. I will definitely stay here again when the need arises.
Hotel was nice. Easy check in, rooms were big, beds were comfy, and very clean. Breakfast was better than most hotel breakfasts. Friendly staff. The problem we encountered was the noice. It sounded like furniture was being moved all night long, both nights. We barely got any sleep. We were in Room 140, close to the west end door.
My husband and I just stayed at the Best Western this past week. This was the first Best Western we have ever stayed at, so I really didn't know what to expect in regards to quality and cleanliness. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff friendliness, the shuttle service, the breakfast and snacks, the cleanliness and comfort of the beds all exceeded my expectations. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met. We travelled with a large group of people and had a block of rooms and we were even provided a meeting room to hang out and visit with each other so we didn't disturb the other guests. Thank you! We will definitely be back!
Stayed here for 4/3 and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the facilities and the professionalism of the staff. My expectation of a BW is based on my experiences as a kid- things at BW have changed in a most excellent way. Room was spacious and very clean. Morning breakfast was very good; food service personnel did it right! Meeting facilities are also well equipped and clean. Will definitely stay here again (as my religious order voted to return here next year for our annual meeting).
My wife and I had a great stay at the Wichita Best Western plus. The shuttle service was a wonderful asset. Service at the hotel was very good. Soup and cookies in the afternoon a nice feature. Very friendly and helpful desk personnel. Comfortable bed.
I stayed twice - going to Utah in August, and again coming back 10 days later. Nice breakfast area, nice room, no problems. Easy on/off location - though you have to know where to turn in. My GPS is brilliant! Good place to stay.
It was great to be able to leave our car at the hotel and not pay the added airport parking fees. Also, the hotel shuttle took us to the airport at 5:00 am and then picked us up when we returned late at night. So nice to be able to avoid an extra early morning drive, find parking and haul luggage across the parking lot. Highly recommend doing this!
This was a nice hotel close to the airport. The room was large with a large bathroom. The desk personnel were very friendly and helpful upon check in. The free breakfast was good with a variety of offerings. They offer an airport shuttle if needed.
We have found our home away from home when in Wichita! The hotel is super clean and friendly. It is also one of the lower priced hotels in the area. They offer a full breakfast and had soup when we arrived on Friday night if you needed a snack! We won't stay anywhere else while in town!!
i enjoyed stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There are restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Breakfast was pretty good with plenty of hot dishes including waffles. There were plenty of spaces to eat breakfast.
We used this hotel on both ends of an international flight. We appreciated the shuttle service to the airport and the ability to leave our car there while we were gone. Everything about the hotel was top-notch - the rooms were spacious and very clean. Staff was courteous and helpful.
Everything was clean inside and outside. it didn't smell like some hotels do. great location, it was quiet and close to many restaurants. the only complaint was the tub didn't drain very well and bed was to firm for me.
Good hospitality and service. Clean room. I like to rent hotel rooms that have pools. They had a nice outside pool. I wasn't comfortable swimming in it, due to a lot of folks hanging out around it. The hotel has nice benches and outside areas to visit in the front of the hotel. The pool is also located in the front of the hotel. While there are screeing walls on the street and parking sides, the other two sides have iron fencing. There was a lot of traffic, and I wasn't comfortable swimming. We rented on a Tuesday night. The access road to the highway is in front of the hotel.
Bed and room were clean and comfortable. Rate was great. Access not great, and could be marked better. Breakfast was not great, but overall I'd recommended, and not hesitate to stay again. Value/ most for the least, would be the strength. Better than the economy places, but not a resort.
Everyone is super friendly, beds are comfortable, even the pillows are nice! The outdoor pool is heated and clean, not too much chlorine either. I'm in customer service and I applaud this hotel for having all the right people in all the right places. The staff to out of their way to say good morning. Also easy access right off Kellogg. Thanks for a great night Best Western!
This is by far the best Best Western Plus I have stayed in so far! The rooms are so nice and clean the hotel in general is very nice, good elevators esp. since there's 2 of them and not just 1. The shuttle bus service is great ! Very friendly staff. We had a very long day on our day of arrival with our vehicle braking down and since check in every one made us feel so much better and were very helpful. Angel the front desk clerk that was on shift when we arrived was fantastic and so friendly she was the one to help me with some questions from my reservation since the start and she accommodated me and my family with joining rooms wich was so helpful since we have children with us. It was nice to have hot soup in the kitchen for guests and the kids really enjoyed it too. Comfortable beds, nice clean bathrooms. Breakfast was good too. I highly recommend anyone who is looking to stay at a hotel to chose here especially if your in a bind like we were unexpectedly, or simply to chose as a nice hotel stay on vacation. Definitely will be staying here from now on !!! So much more to day but so little space all good things.
I stayed for three nights. The room offered a microwave, mini fridge, lotion and was clean. I mention lotion because a lot of hotels don't offer it these days. The lighting seemed dim. The bed was comfortable. The pillows were all very thick, and I called to see if they offered a flatter one but the desk stated the thick ones were all they had. I had neck pain every day. I would recommend they offer a variety of pillow thicknesses like other hotels. The shower head had a nice flow. The fitness center was well equipped. The breakfast was great with a good variety. The staff are professional and personable from the desk to the shuttle drivers to housekeeping. The shuttle service they offer is outstanding. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again but bring my own pillow.
I have stayed here more than once and will again should we be traveling through Wichita. Facility is clean, people are super friendly, I like their gym and breakfast is fantastic. Great rooms and prices are fair. Last time we stayed, there were chocolates on the bed and we felt special right off the bat!
I've stayed at a lot of hotels and I'm always looking for some place that's comfortable clean with great customer service and a good breakfast and this hit all the marks everyone was fabulous loved it loved it loved
We had a great time.Kids loved the pool. Adults did some work out in gym. Restaurants close by. Rooms were big clean and good air. Bathrooms were big. Had free breakfast, eggs sausage cereals waffles and more. Staff friendly and helpful.
Love the shuttle service to just about anywhere. Stayed here before we flew out on vacation. Not only did they drive us to the airport at 3:45 AM, we left our car safely parked here for a week at no additional charge! Stayed again to attend a concert at Intrust Bank Arena and they took us to and picked us up from the concert. On the way back from the concert, hubby asked if he would drive through a fast food restaurant and get us something. The driver said, “I can. What would you like?” Just wow!!
After learning how to navigate the highway construction, the hotel was very conveniently located close to Friends Univeristy where I was attending a conference. The room was exceptionally clean and the size of the room was comfortable. The nice breakfast in the lobby allowed me to sleep a little bit longer before I had to leave for my conference. I am used to sleeping with a king size pillow. The room pillows were comfortable but small to me. The room air conditioner made the room comfortable but not pleasantly cold. The breakfast staff was helpful and the breakfast buffet was well stocked with many choices. It is not a huge hotel with many rooms and I liked that. It was a nice sized hotel and I always found a place to park not too far from an entry door. Good value. Good location.
I have stayed at this hotel on 4 separate occasions and have had first class treatment each time. It is close to the town west mall and the Eisenhower Airport. Each time I have stayed the hotel was full of satisfied guests. They will keep my future business!
picked up by hotel shuttle used phone in airport shuttle in 10 minutes! hotel 10 minute ride check in smooth room on 4th floor very good excellent breakfast !! each day a bit different biscuits and gravy eggs sausages omlettes every thing to get the day going then early evening great homemade soup !!! great staff nice equipped gym. there for a great Midwest stiorm thunder lightning nice
We enjoyed our 3-night stay at this hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We did not encounter any issues. The breakfast was good and in the afternoon and evening, they have free cookies, coffee and 2 kinds of soup. This was a pleasant surprise! The best part, the rate was awesome!!
Staff was very cordial and helpful! Room was clean and new. Breakfast was well supplied and nicely presented. No complaints at all! Decor is super nice atmosphere. Great location and convenient to locations.
The room was clean & comfortable! Loved the pillowtop bed. TV & Wifi reception was great. We had a full, hot, delicious breakfast. The staff greeted me upon entering They were caring, friendly and professional. We were asked how things were, could they do anything, etc. There were eating places close by.
We were in Wichita for a family wedding, and the out-of-town guests were staying at this Airport Best Western Plus. Our room (when we finally were able to check-in around 4:30 pm) was large and very clean and comfortable for our 4-day stay. Our room faced North, thus we weren't bothered by the traffic noise at the Hotel's front. The desk staff was always pleasant and eager to please. This hotel offers a hot breakfast, and for the most part, it was very good. There were, however, several “glitches”: we were unable to check into our room at 3:30 due to a late check-out. Also, breakfast items were slow to be replaced. Although the Sunday breakfast ends at 10 AM, when we came in at 9:40 There was no food available. In addition, we had some minor issues with Housekeeping: the “DO NOT DISTURB” notice on the room's outer door was often ignored. Several times, on or about 9:00 AM there was a knock at the door by Housekeeping. One morning my wife had requested a later cleaning, as our grandchildren were in the pool. When I came up shortly after to shower, our room was wide open despite the Do Not Disturb sign!
My husband, and I had a great time. The room was clean, the ladies at the front desk were very kind, and extremely helpful. They gave me easy directions to get to the show we were in town to see. I regret that I didn't get an oportunity to check out the pool. We ran out of time. They also have a later check out that was very helpful also.
If I could place this hotel in every city I travel to I would have no need to stay at any other hotel. A great staff who are friendly and pleasant with super clean rooms all updated with the most recent accommodations. Don't pass this one up; just save a room for me on my next visit.
The staff was excellent. They were so willing to help and offer advice on how to get around in town. We have never stayed where the shuttle would be willing to drive you to a five-mile radius. Very kind and helpful.
I have stayed in this hotel about 18 times in the late 9 months. I have been very pleased each night I spent there. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, clean, and friendly place to stay during your travel.
This hotel is located right off Kellogg Avenue (Hwy 54) and West Street in Wichita, but you would not know it. The rooms are very quiet, clean, and the air conditioner wasn't loud. Breakfast had options for everyone; make your own waffles, scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage/ham, toast, yogurt, and fruit. The only thing I could
BW worked hard to provide 12 rooms six night, on short notice & provided service enjoyed by every member of our group. If you want comfort, security, convenience and attentive service for a group, call Julie.
Good hotel for downtown, airport, or west side. Consistently clean, well run, adequate parking, with easy access to main highways. Decent breakfast and better than average breakfast eating area. Daily paper, fitness center, and shuttle service. Bonus for plug-in vehicle owners - a free charging station.
The staff was wonderful, friendly and professional. The hotel is very nice and well appointed. It's breakfast is outstanding as well. Only problem with it is that it is hard to get to. Only one entrance from the Kellog highway. So if you are traveling from the east you have to go way down the highway, take on off ramp and then do a u turn to go the other way just to get to the hotel. They had a snafu with mistakenly cancelling a number of reservations when we were checking in that affected a few people, but the staff handled it very well.
We booked a room literally at the last minute, on our way to Wichita for a funeral when the Air Force lodgings fell through. They were even able to give us a first floor room! The hotel is very clean, the beds comfortable and the staff was wonderful. They even let us park our motorcycles under the front cover to avoid a storm. We will most certainly recommend this hotel to anyone headed to Wichita!!
We were in town for a weekend of basketball and made arrangements to stay at the Best Western Plus West Airport Inn on Saturday, June 9th. We were between games and requested to check in early. The very kind desk clerk did not have a room ready, but offered to call when one was available and did just that. We needed a rollaway which was promptly delivered. Then, we received a phone call to our room to make sure everything in the room was satisfactory, and to see if we needed anything else. I have never had this kind gesture happen in any other hotel. The room was spacious and clean and we felt the room rate was reasonable. We utilized the pool and and the breakfast area was clean and well maintained. The management there is doing a good job hiring exceptional customer service representatives for their hotel. They also offered complimentary, warm cookies and soup which was a wonderful and unexpected treat. Keep up the good work.
Just needed to stay close to the airport for one night for an early morning flight. I was able to get a great price for a very nice, clean and comfortable room. Reserving a shuttle to the airport was very easy, and every employee I interacted with was helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again.
Clean, comfortable room. Friendly, helpful staff. Requested and got a ground floor, accessible room/with walk-in shower. Very important as I have right-sided weakness secondary to a stroke. Very satisfied with with stay!
Absolutely the best deal around! Super clean, comfy bed, cold swimming pool! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful! Close to the main highway and fast food places! Only kind of negative comment would be they have the same thing for breakfast every morning. We stayed 8 nights so breakfast got kind of boring but that's the ONLY semi-blah thing I have to say about this place.
I am extremely satisfied with the quality and service of the hotel, friendly staff, rooms are nice and clean, employees always willing to help. free shuttle, quiet area, and also close to places to eat.
wonderful hotel and staff, very accommodating. We used this hotel to stay for our state special olympics games in wichita, kansas. The hotel is well maintained and breakfast is a must when we stay. The rooms were great and our team enjoyed our stay for the weekend of june 1-3,2018.
This is an excellent property, great staff, front desk staff was friendly and efficient, nice clean and modern room, good breakfast, nice outside pool. Definitely stay here, we will again if we return to Wichita
I rarely give 5 star reviews but when I do, you can be assured that it is extremely well deserved. I stayed one night, asked in advance of arrival, for the quietest room in the place as I'd be pulling in late and leaving early. They gave me a corner room away from elevators, doors, the pool etc. I was extremely pleased. The front end staff were superbly courteous and helpful. They greeted me with smiles and genuine conversation, gave me the run down on all the amenities without having to ask for anything and in the morning, they had “grab bags” ready for those who couldn't stay for the breakfast service. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the space was very safe and well cared for. The design of the building was amazing; they put the vending and ice machines in the elevator bay section behind a wall. This was genius. In a sentence, they did everything right. Good job.
This was an awesome place to stay. The front desk staff was curtious, as a matter of fact, every staff member we encountered was friendly & helpful. The whole hotel was clean. The rooms were extremely clean & comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!
Nice place, Handy to highway and restaurants, manager made sure to greet guests at breakfast. Treated everyone very nice. We would be glad to stay here again. I still need 40 characters so I'll just...
Excellent Stay in a wonderful room at a great motel. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and helpful for our stay, Internet was slow for what I am used to with my home wi-fi. Desk chair was awful.
I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western West Airport Inn in Wichita. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable and the amenities are excellent. It is conveniently located near the airport and I was able to catch a shuttle to the airport for my early 5 a.m. flight. If you are staying in Wichita and need a nice hotel conveniently located near the airport I highly recommend the Best Western Plus West Airport Inn. I will definitely stay there the next time my travel plans take me there.
A rare find - a really well trained staff coupled with a clean well run hotel. The manager is obviously doing everything right. One can hope the staff are paid better than average to maintain this level of customer service.
This hotel felt like a luxury hotel. Room was spacious and fitness room was amazing! The bed was sooo comfortable. The bathroom looked like a 5-star hotel bathroom and the shower worked great! I loved everything about this place!
I love this hotel and stay here every time I come to Wichita. There isn't Anything they lack, it's clean, comfortable has a good breakfast, and the staff is very accommodating.I would reccomebed this to all.
Very nice property...certainly deserves the BW+ rating. Former Hampton property. Very clean and quiet (my main requirements). Very courteous & friendly staff. They offer soup in the evening (very good), breakfast has a nice variety. Can't think of anything that I could comment on negatively. Keep up the good work !!
I don't normally stay at Best Westerns. With that said, I needed something for a night with my family and wanted to be close to the airport. The hotel generally had positive reviews, a good price, and in close proximity to the airport. I subsequently booked a room and then called to confirm. I was told it had a separate sitting room area, which was important for us since we have two small children and try to separate them so that everyone can have a decent sleep. The morning of our scheduled check in I received a call indicating that our room was not available due to a mechanical issue, but that the manager had agreed to give us a King suite at a discounted price. I was further informed that the only difference between the two rooms was the second room did not have a Jacuzzi tub. At about 2:45 pm (check-in at 3 pm) we arrived with two tired babies ready to nap. I walked in to see a ladder and some construction blocking the path, but could still easily find the check in desk. I spoke with a seemingly pleasant young lady who indicated there were two possible room options, that housekeeping was just finishing up, and that a room would be available in 10-15 minutes. I returned approximately 25 minutes later and waited near the front desk. Instead of following up with me the young lady went to go move the coffee and bring out some cookies. I waited approximately 10 additional minutes when another hotel employee, perhaps a maintenance person acknowledged me, noted I had been waiting a while, and inquired if I needed help. I summarized my prior conversation and the second employee stated he would check and follow up. He returned a few minutes later and told me that housekeeping was completing its "final inspection." More time lapsed, and additional guests came to the desk in an attempt to check in. It appeared multiple guests were being told their respective rooms would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I got back in line and spoke with "Employee No. 3." I asked her if our room was ready, now approximately 55 minutes had passed. Employee No. 3 told me my room was not ready, but that it should be in 10-15 minutes. At that point, I challenged the employee, noting my prior conversations with the other employees. Employee No. 1, then paused what she was working on with another guest to tell me there was a housekeeping "mistake." I asked if there was another room available. Employee No. 3 looked at various options and timidly asked Employee No. 1 if I could be moved to the other rooms. Employee No. 1 told Employee No. 3 each time that she could not move me to those rooms. (No explanation was given.) No apology offered. No promise to make it right or guarantee as to when I could get into the room. I was also told that when a room would be available it would not be a separate 1 bedroom unit despite what I had been told by Employee No. 1 earlier in the day. We gave up, cancelled our room, and moved to a Marriott. I realize some claim to have had a positive experience here, but I did not.
Most rooms near airport in Wichita were well over 100 dollars, I paid 80 at Best Western. The other chains are ones I have used and the amenities and rooms were not much different than BW just more costly.
The staff was friendly, my room was clean and the bed was comfty. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. However, there was something wrong with the TV monitor. The TV had a dark line across it. You could still watch it but the line was distracting. Also, I would have preferred actual vending machines for snacks instead of paying the front desk. Overall I liked it. It's a convenient location when I visit family. I'd definitely stay here again
Excellent customer service here. Clean rooms. Hot breakfast. Overall great place to stay, very impressed. Would defiantly stay here again. Close to interstate but no indoor pool and outside was closed.
This was my first time at this hotel and I was very impressed with everything. My wife and I decided to stay here since we had a layover on our way from New York City to San Francisco and this hotel was very close to the airport. The staff members here went out of their way to treat us right. Aaron was excellent. He was kind and caring and took great care of everything we needed. Our room was big and clean and spacious. We also got a great rate and a great room since I'm a Diamond Select Member with Best Western. And the hotel is easily accessible from US Route 400. There were a lot of restaurants and stores nearby for added convenience. And we even got shuttle service to and from the airport. That's what I call “super service.” We will definitely return to this location. A+ stay
I was only there for 5 hrs, had a layover but the location was great. I took a hot bath and fell fast asleep in a super comfortable and clean bed. Loved the pillows too.I'd stay at a BW again for sure!
I stayed in two Best Western Plus hotels in two days in two different cities. They are Not created equal. The evening staff at the Wichita location was far more professional. Hotel was very clean. I would return.
Good hotel, nice beds and shower. Very hard pillows. Very friendly Manager and other staff members. Good breakfast. Don't want room facing Highway 400--very noisy. Close to many eating options, and service stations.
My family and I stayed for vacation, the experience was very ggod, The Hotel is very clean, safe, and comfortable. Excellent breakfeast and friendly staff. Would definitely stay again if headed that way
This is a great hotel, it is very clean, the staff are really nice and they even made us dumplings for dinner that were to die for. The Breakfast here is way above the normal hotel breakfast, they had country fried steak and biscuits and gravy. Its super close to Friends and made going to enrollment day super easy. Its also super close to the zoo and has many small food places around it like Starbucks, sonic and a small burger joint. Its also super beautiful.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The staff is great, breakfast is great, all around a great hotel for the money. I will definitely be staying here anytime I am within an hour of it. Thank you for a great stay.
For us, great hotel. Clean, friendly, and very close to the Friends University campus. Easy access on and off 400 and just a short drive to Downtown and Old Town. Will definitely use again next fall when football season starts again!
I almost never write reviews, but since you sent me an email and asked me to, I'll make an exception. The hotel is fine and I'll continue to stay there because the location is good for me and I know what to expect. I am a diamond Best Western member. EVERY time I've checked into this hotel, I have had to get the rate lowered to "the best available" rate. I stay at this hotel at least once per month, and would think I would automatically be give the very best rate. The last time I checked in, I was given a rate by the desk clerk. It seemed high so I pulled up Expedia and the internet rate was $15 less. I was then given that rate. When I asked why I wouldn't get that rate automatically, I was told "that is how the Manager wants it done". Really? Not a huge deal, but certainly doesn't me feel like a very valuable customer.
We were very impressed with the hotel, breakfast and staff and would have given it the highest rating but Unfortunately my husband left his jacket in the room. We did not discover this until several hours later so we called the hotel and they said they'd look for it and call us back. After several more hours of no return phone call we were still in town and went back to the hotel to look for ourselves. After 20 minutes of looking in the room and lost and found it was not recovered. The front desk offered no solution other than “their policy for left items is to be turned in to the lost and found”. Obviously this policy was not followed! It was a customized tactical jacket that I had gifted him for Christmas. We are very disappointed that someone decided they needed to take it home rather than return it to the owner. It was hanging in the closet in our hotel room so it had limited access to be stolen. Will not stay there again!
We have not been to this location yet, but Julia was way beyond AWESOME when I called to ask questions about accommodations when booking through a travel website. She was the 4th hotel I called to accommodate our needs and the first to offer up additional information and do her best to meet our needs. When she didn't know the answer to my questions, she would check on it and get back to me within a short period of time. She was super sweet and polite. She stayed on the phone with me until I got my room reserved, then ensured from her end that our needs would be met. I hope we get to meet her in person when we arrive for our stay!
The room was comfortable but showing age. Rust was showing through paint on door frame into shower area. The lavatory had hair in it that was obviously not from us. There were no tea bags in the room or at breakfast. We asked the hotel staff and they said there were none in the hotel.
Janena at the Front Desk and David with the shuttle were so incredibly awesome! They set the standard in customer support! The breakfast area was crowded due to a conference I was not attending, but breakfast staff kept the dining area clean and clear and kept the food choices fresh and supplied.
After we checkered in at 6 pm we asked for restaurant references and they invited us to eat soup they had for us in the breakfast area. The soup was just what we needed. Aaron Girrens and staff were friendly and welcoming, The beds and pillows and room where clean and comfortable. Breakfast had more variety than usual and was good. Shuttle service was prompt. Price and value was outstanding. I would definitely stay here again in a heart beat.
I went to a conference located downtown and this hotel was a great choice for me. People at the front desk were great, very helpful about directions and everything was good.i will definitely stay here again.
This was my first trip to Wichita. The staff was professional and assisted us in finding some places we had wanted to visit. The lobby is beautiful, and the room was lovely. If we are ever in the area again, it will be our first choice!
Hotel was all we expected. The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was very good also. The only bad part of the stay was trying to find it.It sets down below the Hwy and the directions to hotel didn't help much.We also had a GPS which didnt help either. I would recommend this hotel to all.
Just an overnight on my way to visit daughter and grandkids. First i almost always travel with my dog. Best Western never has a problem. Always get a military discount. Bed was great, fell right asleep and didn't move.
Excellent clean hotel. This hotel when you walk in smells clean. It lived up to the smell. The hotel is clean from the front door to furthest corner of your room . . .impeccably so. The staff is friendly and always smiling and going out of the way to greet guests. I travel for a living and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in within the last 5 years. Great location and great hotel!
You will not be disappointed!! Super clean hotel, smelled great the minute we walked in!! Rooms were spotless!! Definitely the best hotel I've stayed at in the last three years!! They even had free soup in the breakfast lounge! Nice, courteous staff!!
We were traveling across the midwest and planned to overnight in Wichita. We were happy that we selected this Best Western. The staff were very kind, rooms were clean and tastefully decorated, and the complimentary breakfast had far more selections than other hotels in this price range. The location is unusual but don't let that deter you. You will not be disappointed.
We booked this hotel due to its great ratings, and it was everything we could've hoped for. Staying in town for the NCAA tournament, we'd planned to park (and pay) somewhere near the stadium. Upon checking in, however, we were notified they have a free shuttle that runs all night, what a surprise! Best part is, it worked perfectly. Great options at breakfast as well. Room was clean. Only issue was the neighboring room being very loud (mother & kids); it was an adjoining room, so maybe that made it worse? Being so close to the highway, we thought it might be loud, but we didn't notice it at all. Overall, a GREAT option, especially if you're in town for an event at the stadium.
Hard to locate and to get in and out of parking lot, but once there it was quieter than expected and farther from the airport also! The staff made up for it with quick, friendly service, and the whole area was very clean...in & out!
Outstanding motel.. Very clean, staff very friendly, Breakfast amazing. Price is great for such well kept up motel. My choice of motel. Minute you walk in the door someone is there to help. Shuttle was great to have and was so nice to all of us travelers.
This was a nice, reasonably priced hotel for our overnight trip to Wichita. Very friendly staff, soup available in the afternoon and snack grab bags available also. Will definitely stay here the next time we're in Wichita.
Stopped both ways on trip to Texas. A good value. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Well stocked hot breakfast. Tucked back which helps make it a quiet place. One must make a few turns and construction requires close attention to access.
I had to shut off the valve because no one answered the phone when i called for help. Kinda gross. Finally got a hold of someone. They game me a new room. They new room was good. Worked well. no complaints
This hotel definitely earns it's plus rating. Soup bar in the evenings, two kinds of fresh eggs, two meats for breakfast, clean rooms, shuttle is great to many locations, and easy check in. This building is right off the highway so if your room is not located away from it you'll hear noise all night long.
The room was well-maintained, and clean. Housekeeping service was very efficient and very well-mannered. Parking was free, the best kind. Front desk staff was always friendly and willing to talk and offer advice for local activities.
I stayed at the Best Western Plus Wichita West Airport Inn on a one night business trip. I booked this hotel because of the good reviews. I wasn't disappointed! The staff was very polite and helpful. The room was on the third floor, very clean, quiet and comfortable. A plus was a Starbucks right across the entrance to the hotel.
My husband and I booked this hotel and were completely thrilled with our experience. We were concerned that being so close to the highway would make an issue of noise, but it was so quiet in our room! The front desk staff was so friendly and helpful, they also gave some great recommendations of places to go! We were definitely pleased with our stay and will be returning if we come back to Wichita!
We were surprised at how nice the rooms were......and very quiet, considering the location...right next to a highway and airport. First time we have stayed in Wichita and were very pleased with the hotel. Very nice experience, will definitely stay again.
Very nice Best Western, great customer service, excellent breakfast, friendly staff. Close to stores and other things in Wichita. Easy access off of the highway. Will stay at Best Western Plus again!!
Stayed 4 nights. Was in town on business. Overall good stay. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. They provided decent breakfast for free. Friendly staff. Their shuttle would drop you at nearby places although I did not use it.
Great value. It's a nice quiet clean hotel -good free breakfast -friendly staff....hard to beat for the price! Have stayed here 5 nites in last 6 months and no complaints of any kind. We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Wichita later this year.
We had an overnight stay in Wichita at this hotel recently. It had been a long time since I'd stayed at a BW hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms, lobby, etc. were very clean. They had fresh cookies available at check in. There were also a few chocolates on the bed for us. The bed was pretty comfortable and the room was quiet. Wichita isn't the biggest city, so the hotel's about 10 minutes or less from everything. Breakfast was okay so I'd probably skip it next time and find a local spot instead. All in all, nice clean hotel that I'd stay at again.
This hotel is one of the most accommodating motels we have ever stayed in. There was a pot of hot soup waiting for us in the eating area when we arrived just before the dinner hour. Fresh baked chocolate chip cookies before going to bed and a delicious hot breakfast to send us on our way. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We plan to return to this motel again. It is located very conveniently to getting on and off the main thoroughfare as well. We were traveling to Arizona and this was a great place for these snowbirds to stop on our way.
This hotel was a great value. We were traveling through Wichita and chose this hotel because of the reviews and cost. The hotel/room was clean, beds were very co for table, staff friendly and the breakfast was fabulous! I would definitely stay here again if I am in the area.
I was very impressed with this property. I normally stay at Hilton or Marriott properties, but found the cleanliness, staff help, and modern feel to this property outstanding for the cost! Breakfast was good, and the hotel was very well maintained.
I came here for 3 nights with a team of ice skaters. My expectations were pretty low . This hotel pleasantly surprised me - especially staff !! I have stayed in plenty 4 and 5 start resorts - and customer service that everyone was provided was on par of 5 start resort . Hotel is a bit run down , gym is good - except some peeling off wallpaper. Beds are comfy - but staff makes this place a 4.5 star experience!
We flew in for one night and the customer service was excellent and the gentleman who drove the courtesy van was awesome! Would stay here again and would definitely recommend it to anyone! Room was comfortable and breakfast was good!
We needed 3 rooms for family, all arriving at different times from the airport. This was perfect, a great value. Complementary shuttle to/from the airport. Nice inside, clean rooms, very friendly staff. Our future visits to family in Wichita will include a stay at this one.
I stayed from 28.11. bis 9.12.2017 in this Hotel while I learned by Flight Safety. All the time I felt comfortable. After problems with some noise in the first night I could change the room an from this night I slept very well. The room was quite big. At the 6th of December (the German "Nikolaus" day) I got a big surprise from two ladies from the reception. I found a box with lots of sweets, choclate and candy inside direct in front of my room door. That was awesome :-)
One of the best hotel experiences. It seems like there was one small negative, but the wonderful breakfast and service has driven it right out of my mind. I would stay here again anytime and comfortably recommend it to anyone. Good room, comfortable bed, nice decor, friendly staff, what's not to like?
Convenient, close to HWY and Newman University. Clean room, kitchen area and hallways. Friendly staff, woman who checked us in was eager to be helpful. Volleyball team stayed here.Breakfast was typical, warm eggs, sausage, potatoes with a pancake maker. No problems. Happy with the choice. Breakfast was typical, no problems.
We stayed here on our way north and this location was perfect for us. Very helpful people, great recommendations where to eat shop, gas up, etc. They actually called the Morning of our arrival to make sure the location of our room they had reserved for us was going to work. Who does that anymore? We'll definitely be back
The hotel phone was answered on the first ring by Mary Frances, the front desk agent. She told me they had availability. She also ask if I had any AARP or Triple A cards.I ask her about their park and fly rate. Due to the fact she was so helpful I decided to book a night at the property. From the moment we checked in we were treated with the utmost respect. She gave us a welcome bag with water, chips and a healthy snack bar. After we checked into our room, Mary Francis called to see if everything was okay. She talked to us about their wonderful breakfast which was included with the price of the room. Great breakfast! The room was clean and smelled very fresh. The floors in the bathroom were spotless.
Excellent staff - no exceptions so far on two separate visits. We needed to make a room change and staff was very accommodating. Nice breakfast with good options. Location is close enough to downtown and the airport to be convenient to both. Sufficient parking.
This hotel is a gem in disguise, the surrounding neighborhood being a bit tired. But inside the staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful, the interior appeared new and tastefully done and the room was very comfortable. The cute touch of folded Kleenex tissues and washcloth was appreciated with a smile!
Could not be more pleased. Spend 50+ nights a year in a Hotel and this one is a best value with customer oriented staff. Rooms are quiet and well appointed. Staff is ready and willing to assist all from to and from near by locations and airport to directions to local activity and restaurants.
Location was great. The Room was adequate for the price. The Service was average. Overall it was a good experience. My family and I plan to stay at this hotel again in the future due to the central location of the hotel.
This hotel is very clean, updated and the staff is very friendly. I can't say enough good about this place. The shuttle picked us up from the airport less than 10 minutes after I called. The driver was very friendly and helpful. The room exceeded my expectations.
This hotel was a very good value for the money paid. Clean rooms and comfortable surroundings. Nice perk with the 2 free drinks at the bar. Breakfast was just fine as well. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again if in the area.
Could not ask for a better place to stay Front desk staff excellent, patient, most helpful Room most comfortable, very clean, and towels that absorbed! Breakfast good Would recommend to everyone and will definitely stay there again
The person during check-in was very helpful for explaining services. A very nice place for the price. I travel frequently around the country and have recommended this particular location to others whom visit the area. I am glad to have found this GEM during a previous stay on a business trip. The location was once a Hampton Inn and has the same breakfast set-up, but is now a Best Western PLUS.
This hotel is as excellent as it was last year when we stayed here. The lobby and breakfast areas are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Our room and bathroom were clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable, the towels snowy white. The shower worked great, as well as the heat. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome: fresh scrambled eggs, sausages, ham, biscuits & gravy, pancake machine, plus all the usual pastries, yogurt, fruit, juice, etc. Check in was a breeze with coffee and fresh cookies available. We highly recommend this hotel and will be back again.
We like to stay here. It is clean, comfortable and the staff is very friendly. They have a delicious breakfast. They have an airport shuttle. Internet is fast and easy to use. Haven't used outdoor pool or the exercise room.
Absolutely loved the room, it was clean, comfortable, and the staff at arrival and check out were absolutely delightful! Everyone was very friendly at the front desk, and the breakfast that morning was delicious!
Very good and clean place to stay. Friendly staff to check us in and out and shuttle driver was very nice. Breakfast was served later in the morning which we really liked. Beds are very very comfy. Price was very affordable as well. We liked the 2 items from pantry when we checked in also and the cookies at checkin were a nice touch too!
Found a motor home in Wichita, Kansas that I was interested in so I flew there to check it out. Because of the late arrival time I needed a place to stay but din't want a hotel right by the airport. Found that the Best Western Plus was close but not to far away so I booked my stay and was very, very delighted with the experience. Check in was fast, very clean and comfortable room. The next morning breakfast was on the house and quality and selection was also very good. I purchased the motor home and my wife and I are flying back in several weeks to pick it up and drive it back to our home. We will be stay there again when we return. Thanks for the enjoyable experience!
Extremely nice and helpful staff, clean rooms, great breakfast.....10 out of 10!!! Lobby very clean and front desk staff always go out of their water to make our stay enjoyable and fun....only place I will ever stay while traveling!!!!
Well located for anything in west Wichita, the airport, or downtown. Easy access to major crossroads across and around Wichita. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Standard breakfast for BW but seating area is better than most. Quality equipment in the fitness room. Daily paper provided and coffee and tea always available. Charging station provided for electric and hybrid plug-in vehicles.
Another stay here for business and another great stay, The rooms are very clean and the staff is over the top helpful! Breakfast is very nicely done as well. Now for the best part: I checked out of my room and went about my day .about 2:00 I noticed that I didn't have my newly purchased battery pack. I realized that I had left it charging in my room and had left it... I knew I was going to catch some grief for losing it since I had just bought it to replace another battery pack that I had also "left" somewhere... I went back to the hotel and housekeeping had just started on my room and sure enough it was right where I left it. Very nicely done by your trustworthy staff. It would have been really simple to say oh no not here and go on about their day but they went the extra mile! Thanks again!
rooms nice, could be quieter if not on hiway side. weekend supervisor likes to yell at staff and belittle in front of guests, shame! breakfast was great. nicely decorated and very clean. would have come back but manager was demeaning to staff.
Nice hotel in good location. GPS directions took us to wrong location. Clean, professional staff. Only problem experienced was connection to internet. Staff was painting drive way in front of main entrance and had to taped off.
Our stay was EXCELLENT in every way. The hotel was very clean, staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Love the cookies everyday. The soup was extra nice after a long day. I will recommend this hotel to everyone.
We loved everything about the hotel. Our stay was excellent, breakfast was delicious and the beds were awesome. No noise compliant, it was a great stay and would stay here over and over again. The VIP treatment was the best.
I wish I had a picture to post, this Hotel is Fantastic! My husband and I stayed one night there before going on a 15 day cruise. It was wonderful! We had a great night's sleep and a Super Breakfast! After the cruise we stayed one night there before returning to our home town. This is probably the cleanest Hotel we have ever stayed in! I said how friendly the staff was because everyone was smiling asking how you were doing, if everything was ok? Reminding us to enjoy the Breakfast and the Breakfast is worth just going there to eat Breakfast!! I mean they have have everything! The staff again is the best, I just can't say enough about them. I wasn't feeling the best, i caught a cold on the cruise, but they made you feel so good cause they genuinely were interested in you! And smiling all the time! Great place! This is a must stay if you are flying out of Wichita! They can take you to the Airport, you can leave your vehicle at the Hotel while you are gone and they can pick you up when you get back. Super Great Place!
Stayed here for 10 days in November. The whole place was clean and well kept. The room was very comfortable, and the bed was great. Breakfast was available every morning with enough variety to keep me from going out, from biscuits, gravy, two kind of scrambled eggs (plain and loaded), a variety of meat that was different each day, including different sausages, ham, and country fried steak on Mondays. There was also an automatic pancake maker, plus bagels, pastries, and of course cereals and oatmeal. The entire staff was very nice and friendly. Unfortunately I don't remember all of their names but Sausha and Lakeisha were always terrific.
Very good hotel stay, great value, reasonable rate. Bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water. Hot breakfast is better than average. Outdoor pool was closed due to the time of the year, but looked ok. Located right off of the highway, close to restaurants.
Poor service at check in and out. It took me over 20 minutes to check in. The clerk was too busy running back and forth taking care of guest already in their room. I finally had to ask her to please get me checked in so I could get my disabled dad to the room. Room was very nice and comfortable. Cold breakfast bar. Food would have been great if it was at least warm. Don't know that I would stay again.
My flight from Houston got me into Wichita at 1:30 AM. I had stayed at this hotel before and knew that the room would be awesome, staff polite, and QUIET! Sure enough. Not disappointed and was able to curl into a comfy bed.
Close to a couple of Universities this excellent facility ticks all the boxes. It is clean, staff are very helpful and the breakfast setup makes for a great start to the day. Having stayed at a similar priced hotel earlier we were so impressed when checking in here...and then booked again!
This is an excellent hotel. The staff are especially courteous and thoughtful which made check-in after a long drive very comfortable. Lakisha was very helpful with additional room key for our family. The next morning Sausha was particularly friendly and helped us after breakfast with the Fitness center. Overall, A++ stay. Look forward to the next visit.
Very friendly staff. Good breakfast (great coffee too). The heating/cooling was a little noisy, but not enough to disturb my sleep. Hotel and room were much nicer than my expectations. I will be back for sure!
The online reservation was slick and checking in at the hotel was even easier. This was the first time my wife and I stayed at this hotel and our immediate impression was how quiet the hotel was. Not that the hotel wasn't busy, but the building itself seemed to absorb the every day noise of people. The management and staff were extremely helpful and appeared really happy to serve, their smiles were truly infectious. I'll stay here again
This hotel was very clean and well maintained. The staff were very professional and helpful. The entrance was a little tricky to find but the convenience of being close to the airport more than compensate for the entrance issue. This was a great place to stay at a very reasonable rate.
The room was amazing!! I had recently stayed at a Best Western Plus while staying in MN and was so impressed decided to stay again but this time in Witchita-as we were heading back home again. The room was Very clean and quiet. The bed was incredibly comfortable as were the pillows!! For me it felt luxurious. They also had fresh cookies at the front check in desk. The staff were friendly and so helpful. I was traveling with my 81 yr-old mother and was really hoping for first floor accommodations even though I hadn't booked in advance and they were able to do just that !! The breakfast was very good with lots of choices!! Hot cereal/cold cereal, 2 kinda of scrambled eggs, ham and sausage, Home fries, gravy, Fresh fruit and much more! I'd definitely stay here again and encourage others to do the same!
Wonderful new hotel. Great location. Clean, good breakfast, great price. Stayed here for a last minute trip. Was very pleased with the service, the quality of the rooms and they had a very good breakfast. Nice new property. Check in staff was friendly.
Great friendly hotel staff, Rooms were clean, beds comfy, and the water pressure in the shower was awesome. I have to disagree with the review of a "typical" breakfast buffet. Was one of the best we've ever enjoyed, LOTS of choices, hot, delicious, and lots of room in the dining area. The fresh baked chocolate chip cookies in the afternoon, evening were fabulous. Great location. We stayed 3 nights and will definitely stay again.
The check in process went smoothly with quick acknowledgement of our reservation. Paperwork was concise and easy to understand, even with our road-weary attitudes. The rooms were adequate, tho a bit cramped for company. The check out process was equally easy, and the breakfast was ample. I especially liked the 'loaded' scrambled eggs. The manager was at the counter at check out, and was extremely helpful in getting us back on the road through all the confusing construction.
We spent two nights here and were thoroughly impressed.Ss we awoke this a.m.,we opened our curtains to see some employee out in the yard picking up trash along their fence with a reacher grabber.I remarked to my wife , any business that does that little bit of detail is first class. When we left for the day to do our business, one man was pressuring washing ,sweeping ,vacumming the entire front. When we returned,he was still working .The room was clean ,neat, the rewards program is awesome because points never expire.Front lobby staff was excellent and very helpful.Breakfast was exceptionally good for hotel breakfast.Complimentary fresh beaked cookies and bottle water.USA Today paper was free. Will stay here again
We visit Wichita often and have stayed in several different places though the years. I am so glad we found the Best Western Plus. It is clean, the staff is so nice. Breakfast and coffee or good. Convenient to so many things. Best of all is is close to our son's house. We will become regulars here. Great experience and the staff as I said or so nice and very helpful. Prices are also better than most in the area. This is a very good place to stay.
The room , lobby and hallways were clean. Typical breakfast buffet. This was the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. The front desk and maids always had a smile on their face and spoke to everyone.
Staff was cheerful and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and breakfast had a good selection of choices. The rooms were quiet and well maintained. The bath towels were soft and clean. If in the area I would stay again.
Wonderful place for the price will use again if in the area. I stay in a lot of motels and this was one of best I have stayed in for the price great service. would recommend this in a heartbeat for an occasion whether work or vacationing
First time I have stayed in a Best Western in several years and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The front desk staff was polite, efficient, and helpful with several special requests. The condition of the room was perfect. The internet was instantly available and fast. I will stay here against next time I am in Wichita.
The front desk was very helpful, I was having issues turning off my closed captioning, The called out maintenance after hours to come fix it. Wow what service I was surprised by the cookies at the front desk, and the grab bags at breakfast time. Will be staying again
we were very pleased with all aspects of our stay an we will stay here next visit to wichita kn. we only stay in best western plus motels if one is in the city we are visiting. this one is one of the better plus motels but all have been acceptable. we are experienced travelers.
I booked room online fast and easy, I got as better price. The service was very good at 11 o'clock at night and the got my reservations very quick online. I was able to book with my reward even though I didn't have my number hand.I enjoyed the late check out the most of all.
We flow into airport very late at night, was worried about getting a shuttle to motel. Told motel our arrival time, and shuttle was setting there waiting on us. Room was very clean, check in was easy. Front desk helped us with a pizza del. order. Breakfast was good the next morning too!
Everything was excellent. Clean room, large clean bathroom with tub/shower. Good breakfast. Only thing that could be done to make things better would be switching to a better breakfast meat. Whatever they served was not at all appetizing. How about a good breakfast sausage or bacon?
Overall, the hotel is a good experience. The only cautionary is to watch your bill at the time of checkout. We have stayed here twice in the last 3 months and both times experienced over billing at the time of checkout. These over charges were corrected when brought to the attention of the morning desk clerk. However, given that it's happened twice in 3 months makes me question if this is actually a regular practice of the hotel as opposed to an accident.
Great place for a group to stay on short notice. We had a block of rooms that allowed everyone to stay in the same location. It worked out perfectly including using the great meeting room on site. Breakfast was great as well.
A welcomed respite after a busy day. This motel boast a high level of service and amenities. Right from the outset we were made to feel welcomed with every need being accommodated. Despite the close proximity to the airport the noise was not intrusive. I would stay there again.
loved this hotel ...by far the best value on our recent road trip..would definitely seek out a best western plus if available. the breakfast was great, the room really lovely and the hotel in general was very appealing
I realized I had forgotten my pillow on our way home. I call the desk and they had someone look for it, it was found and they offered to mail it to me. I received it in a few days, I really appreciated the extra helpfullness of the staff. Will stay there again.
This is a nice hotel and the staff were all very friendly and professional. They lost 5-star status with me when I reviewed my bill and noticed an unexpected extra "Local Charge" of $1.50 listed beneath the taxes. Inquired at the front desk and was told this was an extra charge for the room safe. That was unacceptable as there was no notice of this charge up front when I made the reservation (nor did I use the safe). Trying to sneak in extra charges like this is what gives some hotels a bad name. All the room amenities should be included in the room rate. For example, I'm not charged an extra $1 for the TV or $2 for the refrigerator or $1.50 for bath towels -- nor should I be. I asked the front desk clerk to remove the charge and to her credit, she did so immediately. I'd stay at this hotel again, but would prefer that hotel management drop such sneaky extra charges -- if that income is truly needed then be honest and raise the room rate accordingly.
I was extremely satisfied with the hotel staff and facility. The facility was clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. The cookies were delicious. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.
We visit Wichita on a regular basis to visit our daughter in college and have stayed at several different hotels. This hotel is quite nice. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean (it was recently renovated), and it is very quiet. You can tell even just getting off the elevator at your floor, that the halls and rooms are very soundproof. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, offering a wide variety including several different types of fruit, a pancake maker, different meats and eggs and different coffees to choose from. Two different staff members came around during breakfast to check on our stay. My only comment would be that the bed was rather dipped in the middle, but both my husband and I still got a good night's sleep. I actually just talked to a staff member and she asked me for my room number. The covers and pillows were great. Would definitely stay here again. :)
We've stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past, but during those stays, the hotel was a Hampton Inn. I'm happy to report that under new ownership, management and brand name, this hotel is as nice as ever. Our stay was pleasant at every level; the room was quiet and comfortable, the check-in experience efficient and friendly and the breakfast was equal to the best we've had at other hotel brands. We were pleased at the facility's cleanliness and updated appearance. Parking spaces are plentiful and there is better-than-average security lighting throughout the parking lot. At this time, there is road construction along the Kellogg Avenue and West Street areas which is a hindrance to easy access to the hotel, but it's not the hotel's fault. I look at it as an improvement for the future and once complete, it will serve as an advantage for hotel access. The way I see it, the hotel's employees' great attitudes more than compensate for the minor inconvenience of easy access at this time. My wife and I certainly recommend this fine facility in west Wichita. We'll be back.
Traveling with my brother. I have stayed at many hotels, this has to be the best ever. My brother has also been spending a lot of time in hotels traveling between Ohio and Florida as his home suffered damage from a recent hurricane. As we entered the hotel we were greeted with smiles. We found out that we were all ready checked in. The breakfast is outstanding. I am an early riser and got to hang out with "Toni" the night clerk. She is a very nice lady. Great conversations. I was also supprised to see the office manager working the desk on the weekend. Has an EV charging station, WOW
Eveything was fine except when they said that they will return your call regarding missing item (charger in my case) and they never did return my call twice. I wonder if they found my charger or not. i just wanted to know thats all.
This place appears newly remodeled, the staff is friendly and very helpful, and it is clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this location, this is our second time we have stayed here, and both times were our experience was excellent. It was as nice or nicer than many higher priced options.
Very pleasant place to stay, comfortable bed, WiFi that works, and the free breakfast was pretty good. But stay away from the coffee, way too strong, unless you like the Starbucks kind of burnt coffee.
Rooms were quiet, beds comfortable, bathrooms clean. Breakfast was a bit on the scanty side, but filling and healthy. Everything worked in the room and temperature was very controllable. Had a nice stay and was well rested.
I have stayed at this Best Western on many occasions, and never had bad service until now... The AC unit did not cool room off, was not offered a new room. Parts to the AC unit laying on floor (crazy). Someone came into my room around 8:30 unannounced I guest that was a wake up call that I did not order. I told the front desk about it and was told she would look into it. I thought things was fixed but at 10:45 after taking a shower standing in the nude a housekeeper came into my room again unannounced and seen me in the buff (very crazy) I said to her I am still here shut the door. I then called the front desk again to ask what check out time was, maybe I was late and to find out I still had a hour and half.. My shower had a pressure issue, I got a email from someone at the hotel who said sorry about your stay I can give you 250 points on your rewards. Really 250 points, well I will stay at the other Best Western down the street and will not stay at this property again. Thanks for the 250 Reward points
On line reservation was all processed when we arrived. Everything was clean and fresh. Google maps gave us a roundabout way of getting there but returning to the highway the next morning was a breeze. The breakfast was GREAT!
Extremely helpful and consientious staff make each stay here very pleasant. Have stayed at this hotel several times in the last few months and each room has been clean and well kept. Very good value, as well.
When I arrived, the staff were warm and welcoming, and helpful. I was given an upgrade because of my rewards status, and the room was a large King suite, with a comfortable bed, and was very clean and comfortable overall. The pool was heated, and warm enough to go right in without feeling the shock of an initial cold zap to your body. The breakfast was beyond my expectations, with 2 kinds of scrambled eggs, one like a Denver omelet scramble, there was also ham and sausage, and biscuits and gravy, and a number of other items. I was extremely happy with my stay, and I will be coming back!
We were traveling and called Best Western to find out what was in the area. Hotel is on a one-way street so it was a little confusing to get there. A large tree obstructed the view until we passed the hotel. Eventually found our way back. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful during check in and check out.
I used to think that I could be assured of getting a quality experience at Best Western. I no longer believe it. The worst thing that happened during my recent visit was to be awakened at 5:00 A.M. by the smoke alarm. After checking things out and determining that the hotel was not on fire, I attempted to go back to sleep. I was not able to do so. The smoke alarm went off again at 7:50 A.M. Same song, second verse, I guess. When I was checking out, I voiced my complaints to the clerk. All I got for my efforts was some eye-rolling and a half-assed apology. I thought the clerk's reaction to my comments was unnecessarily rude. She did admit that the incidents with the smoke alarms were all their fault. There were also some minor annoyances which cropped up during my visit. When I checked in, I was told that there were complimentary cookies available in the lobby. After supper, I went to get a cookie but they were all gone. Apparently, no more were available. The TV remote was of an inferior quality. When I attempted to enter a channel number, it would instead jump to the previous channel. I finally gave up and just used the Up Channel and Down Channel buttons to change channels. Also, there was no on-screen program listing available. As for the breakfast: if you like cold eggs, you will love their breakfast. All in all, my experience is not what I have come to expect from Best Western. I will stay at the Motel 6 before I return to this Best Western. At Motel 6, at least I have lowered expectations going in.
Great hotel. Helpful, kind & happy employees. Clean and comfortable room. Airport shuttle, nice ride and felt safe. I stay in hotels alone and the feeling that I am as safe as possible is high on my list of priorities. This hotel met my expectations in every category. Safety, comfort, quietness, cleanliness, happy, kind and helpful employees, convenience of ice & vending machines. Great place to stay and convenient to the airport.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and clean. There is a full hot continental breakfast with a express to-go bag option. The hotel is located close to downtown and the airport. Freshly baked toll house cookies are the best.
I'm a frequent traveler to Wichita and after my second time staying here I felt necessary to write a review. This place has outstanding service. The front desk people are attentive and understand what makes a customer happy. Julie in particular was terrific. She treated me like I was a guest in her home. Amenities are great. There's a fitness center with cardio machines and weights. The free breakfast is just about perfect giving a variety of choices. Pool is nice as well. The rooms are large with a fridge and microwave. I had a nice bed with comfortable linens. Bathrooms are good size as well. Ultimately, this is a great spot near the middle of wherever in Wichita you might need to be. Stay here!
Had a business meeting on the west side of town and spent the night here. Easy to get to...good price. Checking was smooth, rooms were clean and nice amenities. Beds were very comfortable and the lighting was good. Breakfast was also good. I'll be returning!
Traveling cross country vua our Harley, this was a perfect stop after a day of riding. Right off hwy, restaurant in walking distance. Room large, spacious bathroom. Bed very comfy. Staff very friendly. Only negative at this property is there is no guest laundry. .
Best Western is always clean, comfortable and friendly! Love the fact that parking, internet and breakfast are always free! Best Western is usually in very convenient locations, easy access to major highways.
Hello, I am writing to appreciate the great service I received in my recent stay . I came to Wichita last August and stayed in the same hotel for two weeks. I enjoyed the stay. Room was very clean and comfortable. The staffs were very friendly! So this year I decided to stay at this hotel again and everything is excellent! The front desk and the general manager are extremely helpful and friendly. I feel I'm being warmly welcomed ! I'm very sure best western plus airport Wichita will be my go to hotel when I visit Wichita and I will recommend it to my friends. With the great manager and staffs there is no doubt there will be keep growing business! Thanks for your service team! Yuhua from Canada
Clean rooms, good breakfast, but the staff.... really though. We lost a gold wedding band in the shrubs. Tony helped us look, Julie and others looked too. We had to leave before we found it but they took my information and said they will continue to look and alerted all employees! They've gone above and beyond.
This hotel had very clean rooms, which is a very big deal to us. They had fresh cookies at the front desk, and free coffee 24/7. There is a full breakfast, which was actually delicious. Towels are thick and smell fresh. Every employee is friendly and accommodating. I did not know about a Best Western Plus, but I am glad I know about them now. The rooms are great! They also have a fitness room. We had a great rate as well. If you are staying in west Wichita, this is a great choice.
Oh were we tired. 14 hours on the road and we just couldn't go any further. Checked for the Best Western Plus closest to us and Google directed us to this location. (Remind me to send a thank you note to Google) There was plenty of good sized parking spaces for our Texas size truck. Always a relief! Check-in Desk: When we arrived I couldn't help but over hear how gently Liya was helping the couple before us check in. They are on a month long trip through the US and their first language is German. She went over each question she needed to ask slowly, and politely repeated herself when necessary. It is exactly how I would want to be treated if I were in Germany checking into a Best Western Plus. When it was my turn, she apologized for the delay. Oh, by the way, Liya was also making fresh coffee and baking cookies all while checking in her guests. The room was on the high side of a BWP experience. The shower has the wide-spray shower head. Soaps and amenities are way above average. The soap has a wonderful citrus smell. I could write more, but this is getting too long. Ask for a room on the top floor away from elevators and on the back side of the hotel. Don't miss the pancake maker at the breakfast buffet. Very cool.
My doctor appointment are at the VA Hospital. But My family lives in Goddard. So this motel is the half way point for both. It's also very clean & friendly. They also serve a hot breakfast, so we don't have to find a restaurant any where.
My stay was very pleasant wright from walking through the door at reception clean near and tidy very hopefull and confident in there job to direction to my room as well as direction to where I could find some good food for dinner
We love staying with your hotel!! Pool is always ready towels always handy!! And your staff is great!! The gentleman that maintains pool so very accommodating!! In fact your whole staff makes sure we always have what we need and more!! See you again!!
Nice place, would stay again. Checked in late with no reservation, hassle free. Room was on bottom floor which was convenient for late check in. Breakfast had nice selection and checkout was quick. Looked up room on website while in route, but had to ask for the internet rate b/c rate quoted by receptionist was $20 per night higher. Pays to ask. Nice overall experience.
They need more training for their staff on service dogs. But other than that the stay was ok. The beds were a little hard, and the internet sucked. My husband couldn't connect, neither could our tablet.
We were looking for a hotel not too far from Wichita downtown but without the hassle of having to pay extra for parking. Done and done! This place a comfortable 10/12-minute drive from Wichita downtown, old town, Wichita Art Museum, Botanica, Keeper of the Plains, etc.
For the price I paid, this hotel is my favorite place to stay when I travel to Wichita for business. The staff is friendly and the facility is top notch. Despite being right on a highway, it was quiet and peaceful.
We made no reservations to stay but looked up rates online. We arrived and told staff we didn't have a reservation and they checked to see if they had rooms available for the week we needed to stay. They did but unfortunately every night was a different price. Other than that, it had easy and almost private access to the hotel. They had a side street that dead ended into their parking lot. The breakfast was amazing! Many options and they had an automatic pancake machine. Very yummy! The name "airport" made me think they were closer to the airport than they really were but I did enjoy location and traveling to the airport would be minimal if needed. (We traveled by car and did not need to travel to airport). They also had a shuttle service that we did not need to use so I don't have any information on it. Proximity to my destination in Wichita was my priority and would stay here again.
This is a nice hotel for the money. The staff was pleasant and the rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The location is good, halfway between downtown and the airport. The staff was especially friendly. The only downside was the giant and extra thick pillows. (ask for replacements).
This non-smoking, pet-free property is one of the best we've stayed at. Our room was clean and well-maintained. Unlike the Best Western in Aurora, CO, there were no funky odors or scary stains. Unlike the pricey Hilton in Colorado Springs, we couldn't hear a bit of highway noise. Unlike the La Quinta in Granbury, TX, the sheets were clean when we pulled back the covers for the night. Thank you, Best Western for setting the standard for what a hotel stay should be.
My husband had to fly out of Wichita and we were somewhat skeptical of staying at a Best Western after a horrible stay at the Best Western in Manhattan, Kansas.....but because of a credit received, we took a chance. What an absolutely pleasant surprise!! Very clean and convenient to the airport or needing to leave Wichita. Breakfast offered the usual standard buffet but instead on Waffles they offered Pancakes that you make yourself! Staff was very attentive from checking in to making sure the breakfast was well supplied.
Had all the standard amenities, very well kept, helpful and friendly staff, great location! Best Western is my go-to hotel for a fantastic experience and great rewards! We'll return to this location year after year!
Everything was awesome at this hotel. Best part was staff, were very happy and helpful. They seemed happy to be there and happy to help. Will definitely stay again if we are ever in the area again. Thanks for a great stay!
Arrived and was greeted by the sweetest gal. Her name began with an L I believe. Our stay was nice, rooms clean and comfortable. The next morning we had a hot yummy breakfast before a shuttle from the hotel took us to the airport! Best part they even picked us up when we returned 3 days later!
Great room and overall experience. The staff was great and the breakfast was better than most as well. Only problem was the mattress...in DIRE need of replacement. It USED to be a pillow top but has collapsed and now makes you into a taco! Sit on the edge and lay down and you roll to the middle! I told the staff at checkout and they took the information down and promised it would be addressed. I doubt every bed is that way so it shouldn't dissuade anyone from staying there.
The Best Western in Wichita is a consistent hotel that my company uses for all of it's stays. Breakfast is hot and good. The internet connection is quite good as well. Express checkout makes leaving in the morning much quicker.
Customer service is beyond expectations. Ask for the daily made fresh batch of peanut butter cookies. I know the front counter will exceed your expectations. Breakfast to me personally, rivaled that of Embassy Suites buffet style breakfast. Stay at this Best Western, you will not be disappointed. I stay at many 4-5 star hotels from San Diego to Atlanta, BW is definitely worth trying out.
Rusty shower floor. Toilet seat did not fit toilet. Bed was the worst bed in all the bestwestern I've ever stayed, 25 stays in the last 2 months. Diamond Elite member. Mold in shower. The manager wouldn't even take the time to return my calls, or emails.
Very nice room, helpful front desk staff. A few restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom, quiet building. I chose this place due to trip advisor's reviews. It was well worth driving a little out of the way on my way passing through. Thank you for a pleasant experience. Definitely stay here again next time I'm in town.
Nice hotel..friendly staff. Must have key card to get in pool and inside felt safe. Pool a bit small. Had fresh cookies at check in. Didn't have breakfast but they had a nice setup. There was a pancake machine a set up for eggs etc will stay again when kids not with us. Rooms a bit small
This property was very nice! Just off of Kellogg on the north side and had no problem with Road noise at night. Nice outdoor pool! Friendly staff! Great breakfast! We will definitely stay here again!!
In town for the NBC World Series and we had reservations for 5 nights but ended up staying 6. Upon arriving I was a little worried since it was beside a main highway. Never once did I ever hear any noise. I don't even recall hearing doors in the middle of the night. I always try to stay in Best Westerns because of their breakfast. Their breakfast topped them all. My husband loves the biscuits and gravy. They had two different types of scrambled eggs, different meat choices everyday, oatmeal bar, pancakes, fruit and so on. The crew went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. Even down to the maintenance guy in the hall. He would always stop and say hi and ask how our day was going. The housekeepers and front desk staff always had a smile on their face. I don't know the guys name, but my husband even got stopped in the hall by someone he said was wearing a tie asking if there was anything that they could do to make our stay any better. I'm normally pretty picky as to how clean my room is and it was spotless. We had a king size bed, and i'd love to have brought it home along with the pillows. Also, don't forget to get some of the best cookies ever at night up at the front desk. I kept meaning to ask where they get those but I forgot. Don't pass this hotel up. We will be back next year for another week for sure.
This was a very nice & clean property. Although near a convenient & busy street - no inside noise from outside. Very nice room, clean and neat. Easy to check in and out. Good Value, we would stay again!!
Everything at this hotel was excellent. We came in at a late hour and the staff was very accommodating to get us settled and comfortable. The cleanliness and newness of the hotel was very appealing. The only item I saw as questionable was the outdoor pool. It had a green color and I didn't feel comfortable getting in. We did not use the pool.
We were exploring Wichita and this is a good location. Not too near the airport and not downtown. 10 minutes from Exploration Place (science museum). Good family restaurants nearby. Friendly & helpful staff. Good breakfast. The day we were there had both ham & sausage.
Extremely clean hotel and the breakfast was better then I have experienced at other hotels. Many choices. Staff was very friendly. There was a charge on my bill that I'm not sure what it is for but when checking out, I asked and the front desk clerk did not give me that correct answer since when I got home the amounts were different then what she had told me.
I am super picky about cleanliness, this massive room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, crisp sheets, big bathroom, free shuttle, free breakfast and super friendly and helpful staff, makes this the best hotel of my constant travels. Thank you for being a soft place to fall in my long journey around the US!
I've been very impressed with the rebranding initiative of Best Western, and this property is no exception. Lovely room with hot/cold, tasty breakfast options. Great staff who listened to my one suggestion and also provided local information - twice.
very clean, responsive staff, comfortable, reasonable price, easy to find, the breakfast food was very good quality, great liquid refreshments, too many tv channels, very convenient location. I would definitely stay here again.
We had traveled another very long day and was hunting a for hotel in Wichita. BW has always been a good choice for us. The lady at the desk didn't have any single rooms available as it was quite late. But when she saw we had a BW rewards card, she offered us a handicap room that was still available.
Great place, everything was more than I expected. Only down side was slow check in. All else was top of the line. I was expecting this to be a mid-range hotel, I was surprised how nice it was. The breakfast was more than i expected, a pleasant surprise.
The Best Western Plus in Wichita, Ks was a great place to stay away from home. We were greeted with smiles and warm cookies, shown to a lovely room and shuttled to our destination then returned to our hotel without any effort on our part.
This Plus hotel has above average rooms, amenities, & services. Better fitness center & dining area (3 tv's) are featured with std 24 hr coffee service & daily national newspaper. Also an electric charging station is available for plugin vehicles. Airport shuttle is available. For us the beds were too soft (worn out?) and the pillows too large. If you like soft beds & large pillows it will be perfect.
Its the best hotel in Wichita. The night staff definitely could use some work because they're always rude... but besides that it's all great! the breakfast is really good and unless you're unlucky enough to be stuck there on high school volleyball tournamnet weekend like i was, its usually pretty quite!
I have stayed here at least four times this past year. I like the location because of shopping, restaurants, and nearby airport. The rooms are clean and the breakfast is good. If there are any problems during my stay, I only have to speak to the morning manager, Chelsea, and all of those problems are quickly resolved. She goes above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and completely satisfied whether that be replacing a soiled comforter and adjusting my room rate, or making sure the room has a microwave. Thank you, Chelsea for such great customer service! I look forward to my next stay!
Not a bad place to stay. The worst part was the unbearable bed, which was very uncomfortable, including very hard pillows and a lumpy matress. Breakfast was decent, room was decent. The service was good, with friendly employees.
We stayed here last minute before flying out of Wichita. The room was nice but the evening clerk that checked us in was rude and not very assistive. I also checked my bill the next morning and it was $30.00 more than the reservation was for and we did not use any amenities or charge anything to the room. The morning clerk was very assistive and friendly. She did reverse the extra $30.00. I'm undecided if I'll stay at this one again because of the overcharge. The plus is the morning desk clerk corrected the charge, but she shouldn't have had to do this at all.
This is probably the best nights stay of our entire two week vacation. The room was very nice , the breakfast was very good and had many items to chose from. My children really enjoyed the pool area. We were in walking distance of several very good eating places.
It was necessary that I return to KS. for family business. Both times I stayed at the Best Western Hotel, I received excellent service. The people were very nice and accomodating. I was more than satisfied.
The grounds of the hotel were clean and neat. My bed was comfortable and the breakfast is truly a spread. I'll try to stay here each time I pass through the area. There is a bit of construction going on in the area, but that didn't make it hard to get to the hotel.
Good rooms. Friendly staff. Breakfast is average. Nice place to stay for business. A little tough to get to the location the first time but once you do it the second time is easy. Close to restaurants and shopping.
2 thumbs up! I'd stay here again. It is close to our office and other than the temporary traffic conditions there on West and Kellogg, it was a very pleasant stay. We house all of our in-coming guests here, and most all seem very pleased.
I really can't say enough about the wonderful management staff.Aaron the general manager was in the lobby greeting guest and asking them if they were having a enjoyable stay and if there was anything he could do for them. The hotel manager was also just great she came into the breakfast area and introduced herself to all the guest and ask how their day was going. She also ask if everything in their room was ok and if not let her or Aaron know and they would make it right. Our bathtub was very slippery the non-skid had worn so we told Aaron and he had it fixed while we were out for the da 1 Hour. The room was so clean and comfortable the location was great and the breakfast was wonderful. We will return here every year when we visit our daughter and grand-children. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable
Quiet, Comfortable & Clean... a very enjoyable stay. This property is close to major road construction but still convenient after you find the easiest entrance & street/hwy accesses. Beds are extra comfortable. Especially liked the location of A/C in room so it would not blow directly at the beds. Staff was helpful and eager to please. Reasonably priced for a very nice stay. Better breakfast bar choices than other motels & not the same every day.
This place is a good value. Best prices in Wichita for the brand. Clean hotel near the airport and west side. The rooms are pretty standard for any Best Western. Several good restaurants within 2 miles of the motel.
This hotel met all of my expectations...Great service, friendly staff, amazing beds, modern rooms, pool, and fitness center. Wish they would locate the business center in a private space but overall, the stay was excellent!
This hotel is great! Friendly and efficient staff, very clean and comfortable room. We requested a quiet room and got one on the top floor and did not hear a thing the entire time. Breakfast was good. One can schedule the shuttle to the airport at a specific time. Will definitely stay there again.
We decided on this hotel for a two night stay because of the good reviews. There is construction in the area and you may have to follow a detour but the signs are good. The clerk at the front desk offered any assistance we might need. Our room was at the back and so was quiet with no highway noise.
A+ rating from me for the friendly professional employees from the manager to the housekeeping staff. Rooms were clean, spacious, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Area was convenient to many restaurants and shopping. The manager was very hands on, available both in the afternoon when we checked in and in the morning making sure breakfast was acceptable.
Very nice hotel, close to the airport I was flying out of. A lot of construction around the hotel could be noisy during the day but at night it's pretty quiet. After booking here last minute of course I got my information stolen. So it's nice but Not 3,000 dollars nice. Watch your cards. The investigation is still going so I couldn't tell you which staff member really stole my info but beware. Happy traveling.
I was headed east and planning to stop in Pratt but it was raining and there were quite a few hours of daylight left so decided to go to Wichita. Had picked this Best Western as a primary alternative based on other reviews and it did not disappoint. I called ahead to the hotel directly from Pratt to make sure there would be a room available when I arrived and Toni was very helpful and accommodating. She checked me in upon arrival and was most attentive and made me feel at home. The room was in perfect order and very comfortable. Breakfast the next morning had many choices, including my favorite, oatmeal. All in all, a very good stop.
Received a last minute special rate. Was greeted by staff when I walked into the hotel. My daughter loved the waterfall display when you enter the hotel. Front desk when out of their way by recommending a laundromat near the hotel. The room was clean, and the breakfast was amazing. Best hotel stay, can't wait to return. There is road construction near the hotel!
Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Very clean room, desk attendant was very helpful. Manager was very friendly and said hello to everyone during breakfast. Breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Would definitely stay here again.
We chose this hotel to meet friends for a weekend getaway. They came from MO and we came from CO and this was about half way for each of us. the hotel was great for our stay. The breakfast was great. The hotel manager came by our table at breakfast and spoke to everyone there. The young lady taking care of the kitchen and breakfast area did a wonderful job keeping it organized, clean, and stocked. There was hot items like scrabbled eggs and sausage gravy and biscuits. The room had everything we needed, a frig, microwave, hairdryer, tv and great toiletries. Only thing I didn't like, we were in room 419 and the wifi signal was extremely weak, wasn't able to use my portable devices efficiently on wifi.
Went to a Conference, the room was nice, clean. The desk staff were very attendant, the service staff very nice. Enjoy the comfort of the bed, the desk for my work area worked well. The staffed greeted you in the hallway with a smile and very courteous.
Clean, pleasant hotel a friend and I stayed at for an overnight trip to Wichita. The pros-Clean room that looked recently updated, yummy breakfast. Quiet. The cons-because of construction, it seemed a little awkward to find. Maybe it was just us. The main con was-this was a last minute stay because we didn't want to drive home. Booked a double queen room that showed available. Arrived at the hotel at midnight and were told they didn't have any, only kings. Apparently they had given ours away. Partly our fault, because we didn't call to say we were going to be later, but yeah. Frustrating. Should have got what we booked. Anyway, might stay again if I was in town. Make sure to call if you are going to be late or need a specific room.
Although my stay was short, this location was clean and allowed me to get the rest I needed. The hotel and my room was clean and seemed newly remodeled. The staff was friendly and there were quite a few families playing in the pool, so I definitely got the family friendly feel. If I am ever in Wichita again I will definitely stay there!
We stayed three nights at this recently remodeled hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive; the room was comfortable and clean. The bed was conducive to a good nights rest. The breakfast was much better than I ever expected. The scrambled eggs were delicious, the breads fresh, the meats were not second-rate, the coffee was such that you'd make at home and the 'fridge was well-stocked with milk (including almond milk) and yogurt. Next trip to Wichita will include THIS hotel!!
Booked this hotel while making a trip cross country and let me say it was a smart choice. Checked in around 8 pm and the woman at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. She gave us a recommendation for food since it was late at night. The room was super clean and had a nice sized fridge. I got a room with two queen beds which were comfortable. I slept like a baby, I would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.
The staff was great.they kept the room clean. The manager aaron was great and very friendly. The bed was comfortable the a/c worked great. The location was great right off main high way.The room had fridge, microwave, desk, coffee and tea in room, and a safe in closet. The place was well lite up.
One of the nicer Best Westerns I have been to. Bed is too soft for my taste and the pillows were too hard but other than that it was perfect. Nice rooms, attractive decor, and a good size. Great water pressure in the shower with adjustable shower massage head. Outdoor heated pool, exercise room was packed with goodies, and breakfast is exceptional...two kinds of eggs, breakfast sausage, smoked sausage, chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, waffles, all kinds of breads and cereals, fruit, etc. Other than the fact that it's in Wichita, it was almost perfect. Located right on the highway but surprisingly quiet,
The hotel was just okay. The breakfast was just okay. There were inconsistencies in getting new towels, bath mats, beds were not made and soaps were not replenished. There was a lot of construction which made it difficult to navigate especially not being familiar with the surroundings.
My husband was turkey hunting in Kingman County KS and I wanted to stay in a nice hotel with a fitness room, outdoor heated pool within walking distance of places to eat in Wichita. This recently refurbished Best Western Plus fit the bill with one of the best prices I have recently paid anywhere. There is major interstate construction going on in the area, but didn't pose a major problem and we quickly figured out ways to avoid the worst of it. We ate at four highly rated Wichita eateries within 15 minutes of the hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly. The full free daily offered breakfast was very good with many choices. The pool wasn't as warm as some, but with the warm temperatures I could take the plunge without much facial grimacing. The pool area had many lounging areas and chairs. There were so few using the pool/pool area, it was a great space for reading and relaxing. I do aquatic exercising so a pool is important to me. The fitness room was above average for space, temperature, equipment choices, and multiple tvs, but only one one of the two treadmills were working. The room was large. The bedding new. Plump pillows. Desk with comfortable chair. Extra wing chair. Soft towels. Fridge. Individual coffee machine. Large number of channels with flat screen tv. A heater/air conditioning unit with a fan sitting insured a good nights sleep. Friendly check in and check out. I would recommend.
Very nice hotel with a great breakfast and clean comfortable rooms with friendly staff! Would like to see truck parking! Would also like to see rates with the hotel for truckers or business travelers so they would not have to book rooms with online booking agencies!
Got 'stuck' in Wichita due to inclement weather further down the road. Since we didn't want to drive through the snow in NW Kansas, we started looking for a low cost but nice place to stay. We found the Best Western Plus Wichita West airport inn and decided to give it a chance. Booked it online so our reservation was already there when we arrived. We asked Rhonda, the desk clerk for a rear room, top floor away from the highway. She obliged and got us exactly the room we asked for. The room was clean, didn't have any hint of smoke smell (very important to us) from any previous patrons. There were 2 queen beds, a small refrigerator, a nice flat screen TV with cable, and WiFi which worked good. A small desk with an AC power unit so one doesn't have to poke around behind furniture to plug the laptop in. Also, USB built into that same power block. The room lacked for nothing. The bathroom was a nice size with a good shower\\bathtub and nice size vanity. They supply good quality towels and toilet paper. Everything was so clean. I couldn't even see any sign of mold or anything else for that matter that one could object to. Very pleasantly surprised. Liked it so much in fact, when we found out that Colby,KS got 18" of snow and that the main I70 freeway was closed, we decided to ask to stay an extra day. The second day cost was reasonable so we were happy campers. The breakfast in the mornings were great. I am surprised this is only a 2.5 star place. MUCH better than that rating!
This is a very nice place. Friendly staff. Responsive to concerns. Easy access, even with construction on Kellogg. Comfortable beds, Better TV channel selection than most hotels. Prices very reasonable. Definitely staying here again.
This hotel was formerly an Award Winning Hampton Inn. It is know or soon to be an Award Winning BEST WESTERN Plus. FYI I am a Diamond , top level, with Hilton hotels and I prefer to stay here when I am in Wichita. This remodeled hotel makes this hotel equal to or better than a great number of Hampton Inn hotels that I have stayed in for the past fifteen years. There breakfast beats other Best Western Plus hotels as well many La Quinta Inn and Suites that I have stayed in the last fifteen years on the road. The staff and management bent over backwards on my last visit to make my stay a pleasant one. The only negative is that not all rooms have a microwave. Therefore, if you need or want a microwave in your room make sure you request one when you make your reservation.
Clean rooms, comfy beds, nice area. Although road construction was an issue. Would recommend to anyone traveling. Nice breakfast area. Nice staff. Only problem was no microwave in the room. Clean exterior

Hotel Room: Alike their lobby, the rooms are smoke free and well organized with comforting colors and furnishings that do not overwhelm. A king size Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress (Cheshire Elite IV) contributes to a restful sleep. The sheets and pillows are soft and cool to the touch. The room is controlled by an Amana Packaged Air Conditioner/Heater with manual controls. Adding to one's comfort are the room darkening curtains. A clock/radio is standard along with a TELEADAPT ChargePort (2 power outlet and 2 USB ports) are easily accessible on the nightstand. This is very helpful as we tend to travel with numerous electronic devices (I continue to travel with an extension cord-though found it wasn't necessary at the hotel). A GE 4.4 cu. ft. compact refrigerator with internal adjustable temperature thermostat is available in the room to maintain refreshments while one is entertained viewing the 40” RCA flat screen (Cable/Closed Caption) TV. The hotel provides CLEAN REMOTEs for the TVs, this makes for a quick thorough cleaning of the remote (I often travel with antibacterial wipes). Large dresser drawers and a standard closet with full size mirrors makes for a quick unpacking experience. Ample supplies of shirt and pant hangar are paired with a clean (no gunk residues or stains) ironing board and iron (Iron has 15 feet cord). Internet download speed was clocked at 19.77 Mbps (7:25 PM) while upload speed was clocked at 1.73 Mbps (7:26 PM) NOTE: The room does not have a microwave or (Courtesy/fee) water bottle. Single decaf and regular coffee packs are provided in the room with a standard single cup coffee maker. Adequate electrical outlets are visible and accessible as are lighting ambiance. Bathroom: The bathroom has adequate space to move about and is also clean and ADA standards in applicable rooms. Essential Element toiletry items are provided, including a make-up remover wipe. A Sunbeam hairdryer (1875 watts) is provided. The shower head is adjustable to providing full coverage spray patterns to full firm flow. NOTE: There are no overhead heat lamp and/or 10X mirror. TIP: Bath towels are positioned on the sink counter shelves. You may want to remove one and place on the inside door hooks, otherwise you will realize the bath towel is a few steps out of reach from the shower. Business Center: The thick clear plexiglas like panel with water cascading from ceiling provides separation from the lobby common and seating area where two computers and printer for personal use are located on the opposite side. Above it is another TV providing 24-hour weather developments. Exercise Room: 24 hours of heart pumping adrenalin… access to the exercise room requires your room key. Once in, the semi-private windows provides a fine balance of privacy and curiosity looking in or out into the room located on the first floor so pace yourself with the Precor Glide Functioning System (Multi-functional resistance training), free weights ranging from 5-50 lbs., exercise bands, medicine balls and Yoga mats. Build up a sweat on the Precor elliptical and/or treadmills while watching your favorite TV show. Hydrate before exiting with a cup or two of filtered water. Towels are available as well. NOTE: There are no scales to weigh in or out, any hot tub or steam room. The outdoor swimming pool was not accessible for use due to seasonal routine maintenance. Restaurant: While the hotel does not have a restaurant (lunch/dinner), its location is surrounded by a host of restaurants and food establishments within walking distance. Hot breakfast is served daily; eggs, sausage, ham, potatoes wedges, pancakes, hot/cold cereals, pastries, and fruits. Quench your morning thirst with a variety of juices, water, and hot drinks as early as 6 AM. Ice and drink vending machines are located on each floor near the elevators. A few of the vending machines accept credit cards for convenience. NOTE: Meal room service is not available. A few food establishments provide delivery service so inquire with the front desk. There are no manager's afternoon drink/food socials. A convenience marketplace is available providing snacks, light frozen meals and drinks 24-hours a day next to the hotel check-in counter. Miscellaneous: The hotel offers laundry service through a vendor. Do not allow construction to interstate 235 deter you from checking-in, traffic continues to flow well with little to no delay as expansion to the front service road is being expanded. Noise level from the freeway is not heard in guest rooms and construction to interstate 235 is actually further away from the hotel so I suspect all rooms are ideal. You owe it to your psyche and well-being of staying at this hotel when visiting Wichita.
Stayed there for one night. The young lady that checked us in was very helpful and gave us a great recommendation for a local restaurant. The hotel was quiet and we were up early and out of there after a nice breakfast. I would stay here again.
I have stayed at this hotel several times on recent trips to Wichita. It is very convenient to the airport for early departures. Friendly front desk staff. Rooms are well appointed, quiet and comfortable. There is an airport shuttle service available. It is my go-to place when flying out of Wichita.
Great hotel and staff was exceptional - Room and bed very comfortable. I would recommend for business and leisure travel. It will be even better once the road construction is complete. Thank you for an enjoyable stay our field crew will be staying here also
I was very pleased with the stay at this facility, everything was very clean, the employees were very courteous and the location was ideal for our needs. I also stayed at the Best Western in Louisville, Colorado and was equally satisfied. Will definitely look for this option in future travelling needs, Good job Best Western, I remember years ago when you were more famous for the amount of locations you had then the quality of the stay, have made great strides changing that for the better.
We spent 3 nights there during a church conference. The hotel was full and almost everyone wanted to have breakfast between 7;00 and 8;00 AM. The staff went out of their way to accommodate this. They opened a conference room and had extra help in the kitchen. Through out our stay the staff was always friendly and helpful doing all they could to help. The rooms were quiet and clean and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others. The price was below what we would have expected. Very Nice
Our stay in Wichita was very relaxing with all our needs supplied. The breakfast was large and even cookies in the evening when we returned from our meeting! Nice and clean also. The only complaint was the insulation to help with sound coming from our neighbors was not sufficient! We will likely be returning.
Front desk personal friendly and helpful. This hotel states they will honor internet rates if booked directly with them. Clean rooms, excellent house keeping. Outstanding offerings for bkf. Eggs, biscuit, gravy,, sausage, ham, oats, cereal , pancakes and the usual breads and pastry .You will not go hungry. We would stay again if passing through.
Ok.. I've never been a big Best Western person.. Nothing specific against the chain... It just wasn't really on my radar when traveling. Lately, I've noticed some good looking properties and some outstanding reviews so when several BW Pluses showed up amongst the highest rated properties for the money in Wichita and we were on a driving trip and realizing Wichita would be our stopping point for the night, we decided to give this one a try. Really glad we did.. Check in was pleasant, the property was super clean, having been recently completely remodeled. Rooms are very well appointed, nicely decorated, beds are super comfortable, never heard a sound from the outside or other guests. Breakfast is one of the best complimentary hotel breakfasts you will ever have. Fresh, hot, clean and many more options than your standard fare (cool pancake maker). The employees here really care. Several different staff members asked if they could get us anything or do anything to make our stay better. The sales director was even working the dining room and was extraordinarily friendly, engaging and committed to providing excellent guest service(to whom it may concern, Julie is a great asset to this business) Great stay, great value... Will be our go to property in Wichita.
Arrived here late and was greeted by an extremely friendly staff. The room was spacious, clean, and a great value. Will definitely stay here again when I fly in to Wichita. If you have AAA membership you can get great rates here by using it.
Excellent staff - ?????????? Rocio and Chelsea were completely on top of everything we needed with knowledgeable, professional courtesy and nice smiles to boot. Clean rooms - ?????????? We found everything in our room to be in perfect working order. My only recommendation would be to maybe add something to the curtains to help keep them from being caught in the blown air from the AC unit. Breakfast - ?????????? Plenty of tasty food with a nice selection. Are there better breakfasts out there? Yes. However, they probably will not come at such a great value. And I can most definitely assure you that there many worse breakfasts to be had at other hotels. We enjoyed both of our morning meals here. I could go on and on about this hotel. I've read other similar reviews on this and other sites and they are all spot on. If you are in Wichita for the night or even several nights and simply need a place to rest and recharge you won't find a better value in all of Sedgwick County. Period. We are looking forward to many comfortable stays here while visiting our family and friends in Wichita.
Excellent value for business or leisure travelers looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay. Not fancy, but definitely a "plus" compared to other Best Western Hotels. Great selections at breakfast, too.
Great place to stay...the staff was awesome in helping us with a block of rooms with a wedding. Extremely clean, comfortable beds, great breakfast. Julie in sales was most helpful. I highly recommend!!
This is my second stay at this hotel & they have great service, wonderful rates & very clean rooms! All of the staff is friendly & helpful. Great breakfast.Definitely my go-to hotel when I am in town!
We checked in October 29th and checked out October 30. The front desk was very friendly and efficient. We had a very nice room that was decorated nicely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast served was the best that I have ever seen at a hotel. It was an exceptional value. Even though at this Time the street is under construction, It is worth the effort to get there.
The hotel was great and the staff was great, but I stay in hotels all the time and that was by miles the beast hotel free breakfast I have ever had in 20 years. They had 2 different kind of scrambled eggs. One loaded with cheese, ham and peppers. My favorite part was the chicken friend steak. the best breakfast ever!!
We booked the meeting room for two presentations. While there was some initial confusion - front desk didn't tell sales - it was all resolved. The room was set up for us as needed, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Any requests were handled quickly and with a smile. It was a very good meeting experience.
Good hotel. Bad wireless internet service - very poor speed and constantly being knocked off online, it was very frustrating. Breakfast was better than most. It is close to the Airport and the freeway. Close to many food places. Over-all great other than the internet connection...
I enjoyed my stay and all the modern update's at this hotel. It was hard to find because of the name change and all the road construction going on but other than that it was great and would definitely stay here again!
Everything about this place is nice. Very clean and staff is great. If you are flying out they will take you to the airport and you can leave your vehicle at no charge. When you come back they pay for your cab ride back to the hotel so you can get your vehicle.
Hotel rooms were good. Beds decent. Internet service was troublesome and they had to reboot the server twice. Didn't work for my laptop. Staff were friendly. They need to fix the internet. Breakfast was ok.
This was our first stay at this property and our first ever stay at a Best Western Plus. I noticed on the stationary in the room, that there are also Best Western Premiums. My thanks to the Trip Advisor guests before me, that commented on the highway construction and need to access the motel in a round-about manner. Curiously, on the room reservation, there was no reference to the construction and recommended access directions. The room was clean. There were minor things missing or in disrepair that I wouldn't have expected in a ‘plus' property. It seems that all of the pillows were big and hard. The toilet seat was broken, loose and missing a part. Our room was on the north side of the building, away from the highway. It was very quiet. The breakfast was different, and included an automatic pancake maker. The plates are a cheap paper, not waxy, so the pancakes stuck to the plate, making them awkward and undesirable to eat. The coffee was located in the main lobby, outside of the designated breakfast area. A manager type person stopped by our table to say hello.
The front desk staff were always pleasant, During my four day stay the rooms were always cleaned, and each morning there were Grab and Go breakfast bags incase you were running late. The morning breakfast variety was excellent with many choices, which always included several types of meat, and seasoned and regular scrambled eggs, along with all the other usual items. The USA Today paper was waiting for you at the front desk in the morning and in the evening when you returned cookies were at the front desk. The entrance has automatic sliding doors which are always helpful when dealing with luggage, and taken for granted until you stay somewhere without them. There is some construction in progress on the road in front of the motel and you have to be careful if you park in the few spaces in the front. There is plenty of other parking and the road construction should be finished soon. Overall I would recommend and I will stay at this Best Western again.
Excellent room and friendly staff. Good breakfast and quality was food. Eggs were a little on the over done side but ok. Waffles were terrific. Had a good selection of food but some fresh fruit would have been better. Muffins and Bagels also appreciated.
This was a great hotel, the only problem right now is that the road in front of it is torn up and it was a challenge to get to the hotel. It was stylish, clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again. It is not far from the airport so it was convenient for us the next morning.
Very good experience staying at the hotel. Only problem was the traffic to get in to the hotel, due to road construction around the hotel. I would think that the construction would be completed soon. So verify road construction before you stay.
I stayed here on the front and return ends of a recent trip. The staff were exceptionally helpful in directing me around nearby construction and the checkin process was efficient. They offer free shuttle service to the airport. Due to my exceptionally early flight time, they provided taxi service at their cost since the shuttle wasn't available at 4am. The property has clearly been recently renovated and is stylish. Due to the road construction toward the front of the property, I requested the backside and had a quiet nights sleep. The breakfast provides many hot and cold options as well as a to-go bag for that meal if you're short on time. The rates were also great. This will be my go-to hotel of choice the next time I'm there.
This is an older location that has been recently renovated and updated. It is very nice inside. The current construction detour is not their fault, and it takes a few minutes to figure out the back entrance (some signs would be appreciated) but once you do it's no problem to get to. The hotel is in an older retail zone, so there are a variety of shops, restaurants and services in the immediate area. The rooms were nice, but ours could have used some attention. We had no microwave, and the tub drain did not work properly, it had to be held open by hand after each shower. Otherwise the room was spacious and comfortable and if there was an airport nearby we did not hear anything. I thought the breakfast buffet was typical of its kind, scrambled eggs and sausage, bread and pastries, juice and coffee. All the hot food was hot and the service was refreshed as needed.
Nice place, terrible location--construction zone--impossible to locate with Google Maps. The neighborhood is old, adjacent to the freeway and a bit scary! The night clerk was so apologetic about the highway construction and problems finding the place.
Very Hard to get into this location because of construction. They don't have any signs anywhere to show you how to get into the parking lot. Other then that it is a very nice place to stay. The staff did not seem to care about the problems with find the way in. Some of the breakfast food brands good of been better.
This was my first time staying at a Best Western Plus and I was really impressed with the hotel and staff. Upon arriving I could tell it has been updated. I like the new stylish look. The rooms were decorated nicely. The beds were nice and very comfortable. The bathroom had nice amenties. The room was nice and quiet. The breakfast was so good , I really enjoyed the pancake maker and all the choices that were avaible. I will definitely be staying again with my family when we drive to Texas. The general manager Aaron Girrens went out of his way to answer questions I had about the hotel. Julie Hill was very attentive to my mothers needs as well.
Kansas is an interesting state to visit. We did manage to find some kid friendly things to see and do. There was a fantastic Zoo nearby where you can feed the lemurs. Priceless fun for young kids! This Best Western was top notch. Super clean, super comfortable, and A/C worked great. 103 in the shade in June! Yikes. Enjoy the pool and just relax. The staff is very attentive. We forgot to pack Advil and the night desk clerk was able to find some for us. Breakfast was amazing and fresh. (The key is to arrive just after 6:30am. ) Best Western really pays attention to their guests needs.
Under construction and new management, working hard to make your stay very pleasant. Late arrival was not a problem, but a small issue with Expedia reservation was quickly resolved. Room is large, quiet, comfortable. Outdoor pool was closed. Enjoyable breakfast with real home-made oatmeal, not packets like most hotels serve. Shuttle bus to the airport. Will stay again.
Although construction around the Inn was very extensive and there was no signage directing us through the detours, we found the Inn well-appointed and welcoming. Our reservation had been set aside, confusing the clerk who checked us in and delaying the process. The room was fine, if slightly marred by chipped corners in the entryway, and quiet since it did not face the freeway.
Not hard to see the PLUS in this Best Western property. Nice hotel layout, great west Wichita location, but still has short & easy downtown access. Once road work is completed access should be easy. Nice outdoor pool area we didn't use. One of the nicest BW breakfast areas we have encountered, including three TV screens. Coffee available 24 hours. Larger exercise room than most comparable hotels. For plug-in vehicles owners, a charging station in the parking lot is almost ready.
This is the first time I've not stayed in a starwood hotel in several years, but, I found my self in Wichita and the Best Western appeared to be the best option. As a consequence, I paid with a credit card and did not use my travel points. I was surprised at the nickel-and-dime charges that were added to my bill. To wit: State/county sales tax, CityTBID Tax, Transient Occupancy Tax, and Local Charge. Even if I had been aware of this collective 20% increase, it certainly would not have influenced my decision to book at this hotel, but, the sheer number of these additional and unexpected charges was a wake-up-to-reality jolt. The front-desk staff were courteous and helpful. Parking was convenient and free. The mattress was the forced-intimacy style. That is, lower in the middle than on the edges. Breakfast was adequate and free and plentiful. The room was spacious and quite functional. The safe and refrigerator worked well.
I booked online and got a reasonable rate. The front desk was pleasant and put me in a comfortable king standard which the bed was divine. I was also given a late check-out. I will stay again. Love from New Mexico
Stayed on the 4th floor and was offered WiFi but it wouldn't reach my room. Had to keep going to the lobby to get my work done. Outside of that the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was awesome as well. Business travelers avoid the 4th floor and you'll be good.
This property was recently changed to a Best Western Plus and lucky for us most of the renovations are done. We were not effected in any way except for the road construction. For some reason whomever decides to do road construction in Wichita decided to rip up the streets all over this area and for about a 10 mile radius. We just used our phone GPS and our eyes to maneuver around the construction. The Best Western Plus was comfortable and clean. The daily breakfast was great. The outdoor pool and exercise room are larger than most establishments of this category. What gladly stay here again.
Booked room to see Wichita Theaters Momma Mia. Did a search for what hotels were close to Century II and it was on the list. After getting there I really didn't feel it was all that close. But on arrival at the Hotel it was nothing but a class act! What a great place! Wonderful staff, Room, amenities, and the best breakfast I've had at any hotel I've been at! Negatives were the darn highway construction, of course not the Hotels fault. Thank goodness it could be seen from the highway! And after logging onto their internet on my smartphone I guess I wasn't smart enough to figure out how to get off the reservation page and onto the net...Without a doubt one of the best Hotels I've been in and I've traveled a lot of this world!
Booked room to attend Momma Mia at the Century II. Came up in a search for hotels in the area of Century II. My only disappointment was that I didn't really feel it was all that close after we got here. That and the Highway construction which lead us into a nice game of Hide and Seek to find the hotel. Fortunately it is located right at the Highway and could be seen as we approached. Everything about the place was first class! From the staff to the room nothing was substandard. Enjoyed our stay immensely. Probably the best breakfast buffet I've had in ANY Hotel (And that's a lot!) Will stay here again when in the area!
I have to feel bad for the owners of this property. They sunk A LOT of money into this renovation, and the hotel is really hard to get to due to the road construction out front. It's definitely worth the small inconvenience, though, to stay here. The outside of the hotel features meticulously groomed grounds and a well maintained property. Moving inside the lobby has been completely redone, and they did it right. Instead of the empty feeling most check-in counters exude, this has been done more along the lines of a boutique hotel in New York or San Fransisco. Great use of space and lighting - very comforting and calming when you arrive. The front desk clerk was polite and accommodating. The hallways and common areas have all been repainted and have new carpet, and everything is clean and fresh. The rooms have been completely redone, and are top-notch. New mattresses, curtains, vanity, fixtures, big TV, microwave and coffee maker. Quiet and clean. I didn't eat breakfast, but it looked like they put out quite the spread. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, even with the ongoing road construction. It's probably one of the safest properties in Wichita, because I'm sure no thief is going to go through the effort of trying to get here.
Hotel was overall all very good, clean, staff are very nice, hot breakfast was really good! Internet was horrible, ice machine and vending machines on 4th floor did not work. Lots of road construction around the hotel this summer making it hard to get to.
The internet in this hotel was NOT good. Because of the way my business is structured I will not be back. The staff was really helpful to try to help but they had no luck either. The breakfast was good lots to chose from and made the morning a little better since I could not run my business from there.
We stayed there for 3 nights and it was great! The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. I thought it was close to most anything. Staff were friendly also. I booked from booking.com and got a reduced rate. Once I showed the desk staff they had no problem adjusting my nightly rate. The only complaints I have is that the pool was not open and it was extremely hot. It would of been nice to be able to relax in it. And getting to the hotel was a little difficult due to all the road work going on. But all in all it was an enjoyable stay and I do plan to go back.
Thanks for a nice overnight after a day of travel. We collapsed in the room after a suggested hamburger at Oasis Lounge down the street (very good cooking there, by the way). Enjoyed the nice breakfast before we headed out early on our travels the next morning. Looking forward to the improvements you have started....
Great lobby area, very inviting and comfortable. The breakfast that is served was very good. It wasn't the typical continental breakfast. They offered two types of eggs, pancakes, oatmeal, bagels, muffins, several juices and so much more. My favorite part I have to say was the lighted bubbling wall. It was so relaxing and great to just sit and watch. I would definitely stay there again if I am every out that way. The only downfall is they don't offer laundry facilities.
Check your gps before arrivaL. You must enter the property from the residential area behind the motel due to construction. room on the highway side was a little noisy due to traffic. The staff in this BW was very good. Best Western is always my "go to" choice for motels. Always a great value for the money.
Newly renovated and re-opened in June 2016. This used to be a Hampton Inn. We new the pool was being renovated, so not a big deal. Breakfast had biscuits and gravy, pancakes, oatmeal (in the crock - no packets) every day. Eggs & sausage each day as well. Room was nice & clean. No water sitting out or cookies as extras in the lobby. No fan in the bathroom, so bathroom got hot & steamy and sink and outlets are inside the bathroom. 4 plug ins on the night stand plus a clock are nice!! Best rate I could find for the area, so I was satisfied.
Nothing online said that the hotel was under construction, hard to find a way in with the highway construction. Pool didn't work thought we were at the wrong place because hotel recently changed names/ companies. However rooms are quiet, can't even hear the noisy highway. They did a good job of accommodating us since Booking.com screwed up our reservation twice. Would recommend after all the construction is done
We needed to spend the night in Wichita for MTW's Nice Work If You Can Get It production. What a nice surprise this hotel was. It's now called Best Western Plus Wichita West?. Under renovation, the rooms are nice, clean and spacious with a generous breakfast. Staff are friendly and helpful. Just a little difficult to get to since the street is closed and getting back onto Kellogg is challenging - just follow the detour signs.
Read the reviews; the road construction and name change to the Best Western Plus makes this a difficult hotel to find. Write this direct phone number down as it is hard to find: 866-925-8709. This is not a paid advertisement, but the hotel manager said he couldn't even come close to the on-line price offered. He also said that those great prices won't last long. The construction at the hotel (except for the road work) is almost done. Except for occasional notes on painter's tape on some room doors with 'punch list' work it looks like the interior construction work is done.
We booked our hotel while it was the Wichita West Airport Inn. It is now the Best Western Plus-West Kellogg. We were pleasantly surprised to find it under renovation. We got one of the new rooms. Nearly everything was replaced with modern and attractive furnishings. I am not sure if the bath tub was replaced, but it was nice enough to keep. Everything else was new. Kellogg Drive was closed, so it was difficult to find. A small temporary sign on the corner of Taft and Illinois St. would have saved us 15-20 minutes of driving down the endless dead end streets surrounding it. Since we did not know that it had been re-named, and the street was closed, we wasted a lot of time. In the end, we were very happy.
Besides expecting pool to be in service in June and at booking promised a pool, it was shut down due to construction equipment unnecessarily laid out over pool area: we booked five days but are leaving three days earlier. Both mornings we ate breakfast and were congested by what seemed all employees eating breakfast at the same peak time for guests: 7-9 am. I felt like I was intruding on their fun time. Manager came in and sat with them drinking coffee and discussing remodel expenses. Besides food having run out each time we arrived, watching employees take up tables and eating food supposed to be reserved for paying hotel guests, we eventually ate. Contractors, guests, and employees seem to congregate for social smoking outside every door, polluting our lungs and making our fresh clothes smell like smoke. Even in the room smoke came through AC vents all night and day. We came back from lunch to find a maintenance man with laser installing new smoke alarm. (No notification, just surprise I'm doing maintenance.) we were not asked why we checked out early and how our stay was so with that we go straight to the reviews. The lower rate is for a good reason: it means pay a little more for quality. Go with your instinct. We want our Money back. This is how bad it is.
There is no signage to the fact the motel is not Best Western Plus. So much construction and no signs to a route to get to the motel. Glad I always were slippers in a motel room, there was broken glass on the floor, so that tells me that no one vacuums very well. The motel staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I had indicted I needed a "disabled access" room, but I got 4th floor because of the renovations going on that I was unaware of when I booked the room.
