Best Western Ville Platte

Was there 6/15/24 was told I had to put an extra 50 deposit which would be credited back toy card in 7 working days. They check my room upon check out and said everything was perfect. It is now 7/8/24 and I still have not gotten my money credit back to my card. Lady at front desk very rude when I call to inquire about my money.

Stay anywhere but here!! Worst experience ever!! We have stayed at a lot of properties and have never had words with management at a hotel. Checking in my husband paid for a room for 2 adults and 2 children in case we had grandkids with us. He had asked for a double room but did not get one and was told by the woman at the desk he needed to “learn how to book a hotel room” which was not ok. We were there for a baseball tournament and after a very late game, we decided to give our room to family members (2 adults, 2 children) because they did not have a room for the night. As we were showing them to the room, this management couple, who were watching on video, followed us to our room demanding to know if our family were staying with us or just visiting. They made a big unnecessary scene in front of our grandchildren which is unacceptable!! We left our family in the room for the night and the lady had words for us again as we left the lobby. She even had words with our family later who also had issues including not being able to eat the breakfast there the three days they stayed because it was so horrible. We returned the next day to check on our family and the management couple who we didn't interact with were arguing in the hallway. We would never feel comfortable staying there though we paid for the two nights we booked. As far as the property itself, it is in serious need of updating. But we have stayed in similar places where the nice customer service made up for it. Not here. There is no excuse for these people and the way they treat their guests—especially the woman's horrible attitude. Do yourself a favor and go down the road to Opelousas…we were greeted with great customer service and a nice room far away from these people and this awful property!

Great hotel with a hometown feel. Reasonably priced and very clean. The internet work really well and it is fast. The hotel is in a good location and fairly close to the local restaurant's.

Upon making the reservation, we asked for a walk in shower. When my husband checked in he asked again. He did not receive the room. My husband has had total hip replacement which makes it hard for him to get in and out of a tub, but he was forced to. He also had knee problems and will soon need knee replacecment. We asked thte guy at the desk to change payment information and he said it would be a charge to do so. Never heard of that before. Needless to say, my husband is a native Ville Platte resident. We had stayed ther many times before, but not again.

Workers are very nice..... pool is very clean and warm. Help is there right away... They can help you out with free nights and discounts. Offer breakfast and let you sleep in late. Have a snack machine but need to add more snacks. Maybe even a water slide and hot tub near pool area in the future. I'm ready for another sleep over. Offer rewards membership with deals. So check that first. My new favorite place to go on weekends with my family..

Stayed overnight here on our way to Mobile because of the good ratings. It was an older, smaller hotel but updated inside and out and super clean. We didn't stay for breakfast but there was a nice breakfast area where they served eggs/sausage. Nice stay with friendly, helpful proprietors!

It's a great hotel , clean and easy access , close to everything , the staff is very polite and respectful also very helpful and egar to accommodate you , the rooms are very clean and comfortable , the breakfast is great

We arrived to find that there are no elevators! Only 2 floors, but having to carry all upstairs is absurd. Room was moldy/smoky smelling. Bathroom plugs not working and paint peeling on the ceiling. Breakfast only till 8am on weekend - that includes coffee. In my opinion, keep driving.

I really enjoyed my stay at Best western ville platte and entire staff was really nice and helpful in everything. Housekeeper rock it in Cleaning and also had really nice full breakfast in morning which I loved it. BW breakfast is always delicious. I would definitely recommend BW Ville platte to other travelers and Visitors.

Clean rooms. Very quiet area to stay in. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They have breakfast now, but it is still kind of limited (waffles, cereal, coffee, juice, bagels). I have stayed multiple times and have never had any issues.

I stayed the end of April. I was amazed at how clean and well kept it was. Staff was friendly and considerate. No continental breakfast, but that was understandable during covid. I really enjoyed my stay. Cleanest hotel I ever stayed at.

Motel clean and well kept up. But the service is terrible. Even though a sign on the eating area says breakfast is served from 6AM - 10AM, when we left at 7:30 AM, it was still locked up and no food. I asked for a receipt at checkout and was told that they did not give them. Since I made the reservation "online" it would be emailed to me. That was two weeks ago and I still have not received one.

You should not post having a continental breakfast if you know it is shut down! I was expecting it and when I arrived I was told it was unavailable but I wasn't offered any discount. They have vending machines with breakfast type snacks but you have to pay for these! Disappointed that I wasn't informed before I booked!

You can't go wrong staying here! The owners are some of nicest people I've ever met! When I pulled up in my big rig they came outside and immediately started trying to help me get in their truck parking. He walked with me around the parking area to see if I could get in. When I ended up getting stuck and putting big ruts in their grass and had to be pulled out by a tow truck they were so understanding and didn't get mad at all! The hotel is very clean and again the owners are the best!

I was a little skeptical at first, but then i was so pleased with the cleanliness and customer service. I highly recommend this hotel and Mike, Janette and Pena were great hostess! Breakfast was also great!

Ville Platte has only one hotel. Fortunately, it is clean, affordable, easy to find and quite comfortable. The beds were firm - just what I needed after a long drive. The hot breakfast choices included scrambled eggs, sausage, self made waffles, fruit, yogurt and plenty Community Coffee! The host (I've forgotten his name) went above and beyond to communicate with me and offered his services. The in-room refrigerator and microwave were an added bonus. This is a terrific value!

We stayed here for a local class reunion and had mixed experiences. Rooms were very clean with the exception that carpets needed cleaning as carbon black had been tracked through the room by previous clients. The staff was fairly friendly but we were disappointed with the breakfast. Sausage and eggs were cold every morning, and the ”real” coffee ran out each morning before 9 o'clock except for the decaf. The location was very convenient for us and we may consider staying there again in the future.

Everything from the time we walked through the doors, this hotel was absolutely spotless . The bed was very comfortable and refrigerator and freezer was awesome for our drinks and ice, the best we've had in any other hotel. The free breakfast was a variety and very tasty. The personnel and staff was there to help you for your every need. This hotel ranks top of our list . God bless all

Not a large hotel; however, I enjoyed my staying there. The room was large, very clean, had all amenities. I wish they would consider a gym room and install an escalator or elevator vice stairs for the 2nd floor. Continental Breakfast was great recommend adding Almond or soy milk for those that can't consume regular milk. trip was family and business

Is a secure hotel (very important to me since I was traveling alone). Nice room and quite. Helpful courteous staff. Good breakfast and close to Chicot State Park where they have several good walking trails and a lake for fishing.

I have chosen to stay at the Best Western VP over 90% of my visits home. I will continue to choose the Best Western for the following reasons: 1) all employees, even when there are new ones from my last visit have excellent customer service skills, 2) they are always responsive, 3) they value their customers, 4) they take excellent care of the hotel 5) it feels like home. The employees serving us during this stay - Prya, Lela, and Genise have each demonstrated genuine care for us, they have efficiently responded to all of our requests, with smiles on their faces. It is clear that they are here to help make our stay as welcoming and comfortable as possible because they care!

Clean, quiet, safe hotel. Good breakfast. Helpful staff with special mention of Prijee and Mike. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Easy parking. Located on main road but set back so it is peaceful.

I came in on Good Friday for family gathering and I enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were quite and no road noise. The owners greeted me with a smile and welcome me back. I really like this Beat Western.

After check in I wanted to get a soda out of the machine. I put in a one Dollar bill but nothing happened. After waiting 10 minutes at the reception and hitting three time the bell a lady came. She said if i would have put in money it would indicate on the machine. She came to the machine and as it wasnt indicating that there is money inside she looked at me like i would be lying. Two cameras point at the machine, i told her check the camera if you dont believe me. She then got a Dollar bill, put it inside and as it then indicated that there is now money inside, she looked at me and rolled her eyes. I asked her again if you think i lie, she gave me the drink but never looked at me or spoke a word with me again. How bad is that! I pay 120.-- night and try to cheat for one dollar?! I work in tourism as well, stayed in thousands hotels, travelled the USA for two years, in hundreds often much cheaper Motels than this one but never ever experienced anything like that. Who put her in a Position to have guest contact? To accuse a guest of lying, how bad is that?! You would think best western offers kind of education to their staff. It's not the Ritz, but room 211 was clean, quiet and comfortable. We had no problems, everything worked well and was clean and comfortable. The staff we dealt with were friendly and very willing to help.

We were looking for a clean, cost friendly, and respectable acomendation in Ville Platte and was pleasently surprissed. Although the community does not offer a lot of sleeping accomendations we enjoyed a very pleasent and relaxing weekend here. The local restaurants were great.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel on November 1, 2018. The man at the front desk was most accommodating.. He advised us to call him if we needed ANYTHING. The property has two floors but no elevator. My husband recently injured his knee. When the front desk manager observed that he was having difficulty walking, he immediately grabbed his suitcase and brought it to our room. The room spelled fresh and everything was immaculate! The breakfast was a typical Best Western/Hampton Inn fare. We would defintely stay here again.

Everything was spot on! The staff was excellent, especially Jeanette!! Clean, sheets smelled so fresh and lots of towels. Great staff. Fresh community coffee and a hearty breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Cotton Festival was a good time!!!

My stay at the Best Western in Ville Platte, LA was pleasant and peaceful. The breakfast food was hot and tasty and the rooms were exceptionally clean and didn't smell of smoke but of freshness. The owners and employees greeted me with nothing but pleasantries making sure my stay was good. We made a trip to Ville Platte to play in the district tournament for Dixie Youth 10u. We had a great time at the hotel. The managers and staff where very accommodating to our boys and all the kids. Very friendly staff going out of there way to make our stay great. Highly recommended.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating to all of our group staying during the tournament. They extended the pool hours for our ballplayers to cool off after late night games. They also extended breakfast time for them. I would definitely recommend staying here if you are in the area.

We have stayed at this motel every memorial day for years we have a family reunion in Ville Platte every year family comes from FLA, Texas, Wisconsin, and Louisiana. We are lucky to be able to hold our reunion at an old family home.

I would highly recommend staying at this hotel. It's a small occupancy (which we loved) and the staff was so helpful!! There was always a friendly face working and would always ask if we needed anything and welcomed us with a good morning or good afternoon!!! Mike and his workers are just awesome to stay with!!!!

Wife and I arrived on touring bicycles on very cold, rainy day. We were wet and very cold. The manager, without our asking, brought out bath towels and also had rags for the bikes. He gave us a 1st floor room so we didn't have to carry bikes up stairs. Room was good. Bed comfortable. Price was good with our AAA or Best Western members discount. We like a good, hot, big breakfast in the morning before biking for the day and Best Westerns uniformly do a nice job--well beyond a 'Continental breakfast

Mike was so awesome to work with as we prepared our stay, as well as our family's stay (who drove in from out of state). Very nice and clean hotel! If you are in the Ville Platte area, Best Western is the place to stay!

Everything was nice and comfortable and the staff was very friendly, rooms clean bathroom room and lots of towels. Plenty of coffee with cream sugar for fit your taste. Maybe some fruit in the room to welcome the guest on arrival such as grapes, bananas, or apples.

We had a very pleasant stay. The room and breakfast was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area. the staff was friendly and efficient. We were traveling on a business / personal reason and found everything in order.

Manager greeted us in parking lot with cold water bottles, and okayed early check in. He even offered to drive us to a restaurant if we needed to pick up a take out. However we chose to walk next door to the really good Mexican restaurant. The motel complimentary breakfast was great..eggs, waffles, sausage, and much more.

We stayed here to attend a wedding and were very pleased. Location to church and reception was very close, breakfast was provided, staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean, you could s, Mel the cleanliness when you entered the door.

The family had planned to attend this event but wanted to stay elsewhere. However, scheduling for date and arrival time was quite unclear via conflicting events. I suggested Best Westerner at Ville Platte, LA (BWVP) with regards to its business reputation, location and surrounding amenities. Short story long, BWVP management and staff demonstrated the recognizable BW professionalism and people-persons skills that made this booking event and our stay very enjoyable. The Best Western is the nicest hotel in the Ville Platte area! Pricey for this area, but still the nicest. The rooms are clean and modern. The furniture from the bed to the sofas are comfortable. I will be back!

Nice clean hotel and rooms. The staff was friendly and asked if we needed and info for the town or surrounding area. The breakfast was nice and a good selection. This is the best hotel closest to Ville Platte.

What this town needs is either more commerce to give it an economic boost so that more hotels would construct in the area or another Category 5 hurricane to finish blowing it away. There is nothing great about this place, but if you have business in town, Best Western is the only hotel within 25 miles drive, and perhaps they know it, and can charge a ridiculous high price for poor services. Wear an N95 respirator mask when sleeping at night on first floor rooms as the mold and mildew odor is overwhelming. What Continental Breakfast?

Very nice accommodations in smaller locale. Comfortable and efficient. Appeared to be a newer or recently renovated property. Very helpful staff, eager to assist visitors. Would stay there again. Missed the entrance at first as signage was small.

When I arrived at the hotel, the desk clerk was very nice. Made sure our keys was working properly. Gave us an hour extension and reminded us they served breakfast in the morning. Room attendants was very nice and polite too

Good like staying there when in town. The staff is very nice , the price could be less due to there was nothing going on. Being your in a small town that don't have much going on they might want to lower the price.

Stayed here on our bike trip across the USA. The staff was very welcoming. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast is included. Pool was nice. Our group was very pleased with the experience Great place to stay!

The manager was very nice and really made a point to keep the guests happy. He seems to put in a lot of hours and is dedicated to the hotel. Very nice staff. The food was good and the rooms clean. Will go back. The pool was also very clean and well kept.

Love the hotel and staff. Mike is awesome and does everything to make you comfortable and happy. We were a group in town for my birthday party and they were able to accommodate everyone. Hotel recently updated and very clean rooms.

We had a good experience staying at Best Western in Ville Platte, La. it is centrally located to everything in town. Staying at the Best Western in Ville Platte was a hood decision. My family and myself will return soon.

we were here for a wedding. we only planned to stay one night but the facility was so nice we stayed 3 nights. The facility was great. Very clean, staff friendly.Convenient location,easy access to hiway. the only thing was their sign for outside wasnt lit up it was hard to find at night, Michael was helpful and pleasant. we had left tip for housekeeping, he was kind enough to ck with us to make sure that it was for housekeeping and not just accidently left there.the breakfast was typical but included in room, nice variety. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again if and when we are back.

The hotel was well appointed and very clean. The staff was friendly and even helped me with me iphone when needed. They helped with directions and providing for my comfort. The young man who checked me in took interest in every concern I had. I was made to feel very comfortable the entire stay.

Very nice hotel. Would stay again. My friends and I had a great time there. The rooms are clean and the beds comfortable. For those who can't climb stairs request the first floor for there is no elevator.

Best hotel in town .. should be expanded! The business center was particularly well maintained and supplied with essentials! The room was comfortable and clean . The bed was also most comfortable . And, the rooms temperature. Controls were easy to use.

I stayed 2 nights at this facility and was very pleasantly surprised! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable! Also the staff is very nice. We Will definitely be staying there again on my trips to visit family.

First off I've never been in this facility and this is about an incident in September 2016. I had a co worker who found herself stranded, in the rain, a few miles outside Ville Platte. She walked a while and was finally given a ride and the only place open at that hour was this Best Western. The Samaritan dropped her off there. At the time the hotel was full with flood victims and she was out of luck. Feeling like she was going to have to finish out the night in a lobby chair in wet cloths her morale was low. That's when the good part starts. The hotel staff came around and offered the use of some clothing, gave her coffee and then dried her clothes. Now I don't have to stay in a hotel to recommend it when I know these things. So I'm recommending it.

The Best, they are nice, clean , very polite staff. i will be staying there again. good people, nice pool, nice smile AC was good and cold. so you need to try them out. the price is just right and the check out time was good.

Always able to get a room at an affordable rate, great staff and rooms are very clean. Great breakfast buffet and the rooms are always in great shape, fast internet and fast checkout. I would recommend this hotel to our friends. Great incentives and rewards offered as well

This is really the only hotel in Ville Platte, the room was nice, though I normally like to stay where I can open a window. Everything was good, the breakfast was basic but good. The manager is very accomodating and makes the stay worth it. The rate was good and I would stay here again if I came through town again.

We stay at this hotel during the Christmas and Easter holidays. We have always been satisfied with the staff and our room. "Mike" and all of the staff work are very accommodating. There is adequate lighting outside and ample parking . The morning continental breakfast really helps in starting off the day.

We stayed at the hotel for leisure and upon arrival we were greeted by friendly and courteous staff. We will gladly stay at this hotel again when we book our next trip. The room was clean and spacious.

If your ever come thru Ville Platte, La . I recommend that you stay there. Tell Them that Wilson for Baytown recommend them to you. You will be greeted with a smile. If you have any question , they will quickly address them.

This Best Western is an excellent place to stay. Awesome staff, clean rooms, great continental breakfast and good internet in the room. I will definitely be choosing this hotel the next time I am in town.

The staff was polite, courteous and attentive. The hotel had a real breakfast of sausages, eggs, waffles, hash browns, danishes, juice and coffee versus a continental breakfast. it was a breath of fresh air.

Back in February 2015 my wife and I stayed at the Ville Plate Best Western and received the Military Discount. Last Thursday on August 20, 2015 we checked in and was assured by the owner that we would receive the Military Discount even though many people were staying at this location during a local family reunion. Four months prior to arriving, my wife and I made reservations under the Military Discount. When we checked out on Monday, August 28, 2015, we were not given the Military Discount. In the future, we will not stay at the Ville Plate Best Western, because rates are too high and the owner changes his rates. Also, I will tell family, friends, and other military members about military rate not honored. One good experience is that the owner and his parents were friendly.

Your servants at the hotel were very friendly from the front desk to housekeeper. Your hotel agents were also nice in helping us to select our hotel sites. We enjoyed ourselves and will be using this place in the future.

The night manager was super! We had a special need and he jumped right in and helped us. Due to some unforseen occurances he was working by himself and yet took time to help us. Thank you to him. Although they we're undergoing it was a VERY nice place to stay! The morning staff was very friendly and helpful. Very pleasant stay.

The Owner and his Parents went out of their way to make my home away from home as comfortable as possible, they and the rest of the staff were like family to me. The whole experience was very enjoyable!!

Hotel is ok , Bed a little hard for my liking . The Break fast is very disappointing for the price they charge. My recent stay with my family some what ok . Its just get next to me about the break-fast and the room I was given . Even though I did do a reservation a week in advance . Next time if there will next I will just walk in . Maybe I'll get the room I want from them.
