Wifi is so bad and they do not care. Customer service is terrible and they care less if you got hurt as my husband did in slippery hot tub..Diamond level and they treat you like poop. Room was not cleaned, bed made that is it, terrible Dirty foot prints left on floor
My kids and I went on a little road trip to Saskatoon and stayed here as it was between the sites we wanted to see and in the right price range. We had a two bedroom/1 bathroom room with a minifridge and microwave. The staff was all very helpful and friendly. Underground parking is available if you'd like. There was an EV charger but, it was broken unfortunately. The pool has a waterslide that my kids enjoyed. There is a waffle maker station for the breakfast which was a big hit.
Great location close to mall, theatres and places to eat. All this is within walking distance. Friendly staff. Great breakfast options with cereal, yougurt, bagels, bacon, eggs, toast and waffles. Great for families as it has a nice pool. Good parking options both above and underground.
The hotel was very comfortable and the room was modern and clean. We were only stayed one night but if given the chance we would come back. The hotel staff was great and helped us promptly whenever we needed their help.
Too expensive for room quality. Very average hotel, with above average room rates. Difficult to access is east bound on 8th street.
The hotel was full, our families had two rooms. Great experience with breakfast, internet, the pool and hot tub. Accommodating staff, that were very friendly I highly recommend this hotel!
We came to town for a kids ball tournament. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Underground parking and parking lot options. Our truck was too big for underground, but we still felt safe being in the parking lot. Lots of restaurants and coffee options in walking distance to hotel. Kids enjoyed the pool, waterslide, and hot tub, and staff were present to keep things clean and tidy. Lots of breakfast options, and nice coffee selection too. Great stay, would highly recommend, and would absolutely stay again.
Check in staff was annoyed, not attentive and not friendly. Rooms were okay, nothing special, seemed clean, no soap or shampoo. Variety for breakfast was decent, but items were always low and the hot food was never fresh. They had a specialty coffee maker which was good. They tried to over charge me but it was resolved when I brought it to their attention.
We were given the first room on the main floor across from the laundry room and cleaning supply room and a cleaning lady was in and out the doors for two hours while we were trying to sleep she said sorry but continues to go in and out of the doors at one point came out and she was banging right in front of our door.
I stay at this hotel often when I am in saskatoon. It is always clean and friendly. The breakfast is great with different choices for each day. I highly recommend staying at this property.
There is no labelling of the food served at breakfast other than “eggs” or “potato” etc. Would not recommend if you have any dietary concerns at all. Im vegetarian and they were hiding shredded meat in the eggs. It was highly distressing to me, but would be so much worse if I was seriously allergic.
My 3 sisters and myself booked this Best Western for 3 day get together. We live in different cities and provinces,Our hotel stay was excellent which was especially meaningful since the weather was cool and intermittent rain. We were very comfortable with our accommodations and the staff were all very helpful and friendly.
If you need a beautiful, clean and welcoming place to stay for an overnight in the city - please stay here! Breakfast was wonderful and the entire staff was kind and cheerful. The beds were super comfortable and the check-in/check-out process was seamless. All in all - amazing!!
The hotel is nice, and it is friendly. The breakfast was good. The sheets had clearly NOT been changed between guests. There was a.semen stain in one bed and crumbs under the pillow on the other bed!!! Makes me sick to think of what else may not be cleaned!!
This hotel was a great place for my family during our conference. Everything was clean and neat. The pool and fitness centre were enjoyed by all. We will definitely book here again in future. The staff were awesome and the breakfast was a great addition.
So we wanted to try out this Best Western Plus hotel in SASKATOON as we had never stayed at that property. We were totally amazed at how awesome the hotel and staff were. We had no real reason to book for the night but decided to give it a try and we are glad we did. Thank you very much for the great stay.
We always select this hotel when staying in Saskatoon. The pool isn't huge but it's fine enough. It can get pretty busy. We stayed for hockey. Always lots of towels handy. Breakfast is usually hot and fresh.
I booked 2 rooms at the east-side BW and received a confirmation email. The next day I get a call from the front desk to say they're canceling my reservation because we are not from out of town and why because they had some incidents in the past from city residents. That is a false statement!! We've stayed in this same hotel a couple times before and are a respectful family who clean up after themselves are quiet and don't drink .The couple times we stayed here the out of town people with their hockey kids were very noisy and running around late at night ,banging on doors and the adults were drinking alcohol in the hot tub and in the swimming area. So should not that rule apply to them ?? Why is this hotel discriminating??
Very helpful, great service from check in to check out. Awesome breakfast in the morning included! Fitness center and pool very clean and organized!! Just a gem in the middle of Saskatchewan! I will be back again no questions asked!
Our family booked three rooms for a family event in Saskatoon. We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great. The only downside was having to constant wait for food to be brought out because the hotel was quite busy on this weekend and they had a hard time keeping up with the demand. But there were many options to enjoy. The pool was a lot of fun for our family. The free cookies were a nice touch. I would definitely stay here again when travelling to Saskatoon.
Have stayed at this hotel before and will again. Clean rooms. Good internet. Friendly staff. Breakfast is good with lots of seating. Very well run hotel. Great customer service right from check in to breakfast staff to check out. All was easy.
This hotel was the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed at. It was a great experience. Would be great if they had a larger room available for a family with more than two children. The location is excellent because there is a great Mall directly across the street.
Greeted with a smile, welcoming and efficient! Delicious breakfast options for all dietary needs, bonus points for the coffee machine that offers mochas (included in the FREE breakfast!) Clean rooms and love no carpeting in the rooms for extra cleanliness and allergen-friendly. Location is great, with amenities within walking distance. Nice pool with a waterslide and even the lobby is clean and well kept Will stay here again!
Large rooms, high ceilings. Very clean and new. Breakfast is excellent. Hot food and great selection. Will always stay here when in Saskatoon. Parking lot fills up but there is underground parade. Staff are well trained and friendly
Located on the east side and very close to circle road so access was great. Lower underground parking was full so needed to park behind the hotel. The staff were friendly and the room price was very reasonable. Did not get the chance to see the pool area. Will stay again if I ever return to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Great place to stay. Right on 8th St but rooms are very quiet. Shopping mall across the street. Close to dining and gas. Clean underground parking. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Have stayed many times and will return again.
Overall good service but staff need to be more in tune with customer expectation. The quick and positive reaction to our request for attention to our clogged bathroom sink was appreciated but this issue would have been avoided if cleaning staff did a quick check when cleaning rooms.
Staff was great, and facilities were great. Clean place and great location. Some limited option for the dietary constraints that I have. I will stay there again, and would recommend this location specifically.
The staff is great! I love the location right off Yellowhead highway and the nearby restaurants. The hotel is always clean and the staff is great! The pool area is great though I did not use it. The membership point system is a wonderful amenity.
Wow! What a great place! This was a fantastic, I want to go back to Saskatoon just to stay here again! Everything about this place was top-notch. I want to start with the pool, because the waterslide alone was hours of fun, it was so fast and made for big splashes when you entered the pool. We had fun trying to see who could make the biggest one. The hot tub was good too for those who prefer something more relaxed. The breakfasts were outstanding. What a selection. Cereal, sausages, eggs, bagels, yogurt, fresh fruit, make own oatmeal. Wow. They also had a cookie container near the check-in desk that seemed to be refilled often during the day. The rooms and the showers were highest quality, and the beds were super comfortable. High tech rooms! The do-not disturb is set with the push of a button and the TVs connect to maps and help you find local points of interest. The staff was as nice and friendly as you could hope for. I forgot my shaver and home and they gave me shaving cream and disposable razor for free. The channels on the TV were an odd assortment, and weirdly not a single movie channel seemed available but like 15 sports channels were there, but that doesn't take away from everything else.
If hotels are lucky enough to have TESLA and EV chargers that is who should use them or what is the point of having them….REMOVE THEM and do not advertise that you have them. This is why I stay there but never again and I will not be going to or recommending Best Western Hotels to anyone especially if they have a Tesla or EV. In the past they would ask the non electric Vehicles to move. Much to my surprise the hotel in Saskatoon of 8th street seems to no longer care if you have a electric vehicle. There is a huge older Suburban (I had seen him there before) I assume that he was a regular. Has always taken the middle spot right in front of the Tesla Charger and makes it quite difficult to park there. I told them and the gentleman at the desk agreed that evening and said he will mark it down. I went down to see if anything had been done and noticed that the Three cones that usually go infront of those spots were no where to be found. I returned to the front desk and asked where they were I was going to place them. I was told the front desk that the manager (ANGEL) has made the decision to remove the cones and there is no longer Tesla or EV parking they do not believe that anyone should have RESERVED parking and anyone can park in those spots at anytime. I decided if I am paying prime on the weekends and I do have other hotels with better weekend rates. They did charge me more that what they said because I checked out early but still gave 24 hrs notice before I did check out.
Very large room (two queens). Good selection for breakfast. Nice, clean facilities. Air conditioning was available and appreciated given a unusually hot weather. Location is near a busy street, so some traffic noise. Internet was noticeably slow at times.
Clean, comfortable, modern rooms. Excellent location yet still very quiet rooms. Awesome location with lots of local restaurants and amenities. Breakfast had a great selection for everyone. Staff were all very friendly and courteous.
If you have a littles, this was an amazing pool and waterslide to use very clean and well-maintained. Breakfast was awesome. Lots of selection if you have littles with you that are slightly picky. We found something for everybody room is clean I really like that there's no carpet tile which I felt was a lot cleaner. Stuff was amazing.
Got a great room, also got adjoining. I thought this was a newly built hotel, I think it has just been renovated. Hotel was really good. The staff was super friendly. You should be able to book adjoining so you're not stressed out that it won't be available, as it would have been really bad had we not gotten it. A couple of street people came in for breakfast and the staff didn't notice. I suppose everyone has to eat somehow. Overall it was nice.
Across the street from a Starbucks, Co=op grocery, gas station and mall. Very quiet considering you are on a very busy street. Breakfast is also very convenient with good variety. Rooms are immaculate and modern.
This hotel is perfect for work or pleasure travel. Pool is very nice and underground parking is a very nice option. Location is great, lots of food options in the area. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the Saskatoon area.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The service I received from the staff was the best in along while. I would recommend this hotel and chain to anyone. The location of the hotel was close to all kinds of restaurants and shops.
This was a very well maintained hotel with great staff. The breakfast had an amazing selection of delicious food. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The underground parking was an added bonus.
The hotel was clean and modern. The staff was friendly and promptly attended to any needs. The included breakfast provided many options and was tasty. Location was very convenient with stores and restaurants nearby.
This was a nice hotel for the night. Kids loved the pool. I enjoyed the exercise room while watching them swim. Breakfast was good with many options. A couple little things could make things better. There is a sink outside the bathroom but no towel holder or garbage can or soap dish. So what's the point. Annoying have to go into the toilet area for these items. And have enough towels in the room for amount of people staying. The little things.
We stayed at this hotel for our daughter's Convocation. The location is great - walking distance to all amenities plus easy to access Circle Drive. The rooms are large and very comfortable. There is outside and underground parking and the staff are very helpful and friendly. This hotel is one we will continue to stay at when in Saskatoon.
Had multiple appointments and it was awesome to have a home bace that was quiet and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. There was a great variety of breakfast choices. Underground parking was also great considering it was cold outside. Would recommend this Hotel.
We had a staycation as a family, the hotel is very nice, rooms are big, we stayed at the ground floor and they have high ceilings though we do not have a view but I like that it is accessible to everything, the floor are tiles which I really prefer than carpeted, I also love the brand of soap they have, citrus and the smell was so good. The breakfast was also good with different options which my kids really like. Overall it was a nice hotel in Saskatoon, I have been in most hotel in Saskatoon and it is now one of my favourite
I was greeted upon arrival by a lovely and friendly staff member. Our room was clean and spacious. The beds were extremely comfortable. I liked the new technology of having a door bell for each room. Easy access to vending and ice machine. Breakfast was set up promptly at 6am with cereal, eggs, sausage, muffins, bagels, waffle bar. The pool was perfect for my kids and the added bonus of a waterslide and whirlpool was a plus. Overall we would definitely stay in this hotel again.
Clean room and comfortable bed in it. We were pleasantly surprised about how quiet the room was when you consider that it is near the corner of circle drive and eighth street. We would recommend this hotel.
Standard check in, room was clean, quiet and nicely decorated. Internet worked flawlessly. Pool area was strong with chlorine smell, which stung the eyes. We just used the hot tub. Breakfast was a good variety and plentiful, however, eggs were cold and rubbery, hash browns were cool to cold. Breakfast area was kept clean and tidy. Check out was simple.
Ambiance was great. Hotel is clean and cozy. The room smell so nice. Beddings, pillows are soft and comfortable. Professional and very accommodating staffs. Superb view and clean swimming pool. Easy to book
We stopped here because of road conditions and were pleasantly surprised. Very clean, underground parking, great pool area, amazing breakfast, and friendly staff. It might be the best hotel experience I've ever had.
Had neighbors that complained when we were just talking in our room after coming back from a concert. Then was told to turn TVdown to the point that we could barely hear it.... then got more complains for laughing at our Christmas movie, while sitting in my pj's, sober, and my 1 had old shelling beside me... so didn't wake up. Security also listened at my door for 30 minutes or more. People on the others had tv on that I could hear and above me had kids running around. Noise transfer is normal. Just for those who don't know this.
My husband and I stayed here with our two children (ages 11 and 13) and the experience was great! The rooms were very clean and modern and the pool, hottub and waterslide were perfect for our kids. There was a group of kids there for a hockey tournament but no disruptions to our sleep at all. The complimentary breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of food including hot options such as eggs, meat, waffles, etc. I would definitely stay there again in the future.
We were staying at the property as it was the closet to my sons school. Loved the property, especially the cleanliness. The staff who I interacted with were very nice. The breakfast was a huge value for money. If I ever need to stay in Saskatoon again, I will definitely try this one first. Nice location on 8th street & perfect underground secure parking for free. You can't beat that in winter.
Always a good experience here! Comfortable and clean! Friendly staff at every turn, excellent breakfast available - lots of choices, fresh and tasty, bright, clean large dining area too! Helpful and accommodating staff!
had planned to stay 2 nights but price was to be increased by 20% for the second day and the hotel just isn't worth the amount. Check in was kind of uncomfortable and was advised the tap water was not recommended for drinking which was very surprising for Saskatoon. was provided with one small water bottle. Room was comfortable and clean and quiet
This is a new, clean hotel with fantastic staff. I have stayed here for lots and on this last trip noticed a new yogurt parfait machine at breakfast it was amazing! The breakfast overall is very good, lots of choices, fresh food great staff.
I will definitely stay here again the staff was awesome and the rooms were very clean and i liked the underground parking. It was also close to the mall and the location is good. The hallways were quiet there were no kids running around and there was no partying when I was there.
Very nice hotel, staff very helpful. Rooms were very clean. I especially liked no carpet in the room. It was very quiet, no noise. The location on 8th street was very central and easy to access the different areas.
They have rules in place but don't make anyone follow them they let kids who could die in the hot tub in the hot tub. they have no control over anything in their hotel the staff is ignorant rude and unprofessional the breakfast was subpar and the breakfast staff were completely ignorant don't have breakfast here if you can't handle getting dirty looks from the stuff for what you're eating or what you're doing and if you want to use the pool don't bother because nobody will actually follow the rules and allow you to use the way it supposed to be used they act like first come first serve is how you're supposed to act when the rules clearly state to share everything and when it's brought to their attention they do nothing somebody could die in the pool and they probably wouldn't do anything and if you're looking for a couples getaway this is the worst place possible because they put families above everybody else There was a group of at least 20 teenagers six kids with no adult supervision which supposed to have your parent in the pool with you and the staff allowed kids in the hot tub over people who are actually allowed in the hot tub and be extra careful in the bathroom because if you're not careful you could slip and get really hurt I almost fell I'm lucky that there was a bar in the shower to grab onto
This was a good stay with my family. Hotel is centrally located on the east end but everything is quick when you have a car and I enjoy the underground parking (save for the few who don't know how to park and take up an extra stall.
Had the pleasure of staying here for a second time. So impressed with the staff, the cleanliness and overall experience. He lights of our vehicle accidentally were left on and staff made to sure to let us know avoiding a dead battery the next morning. The beds and pillows are so comfortable….I'd like that experience at home.
Very friendly staff, very very clean rooms, excellent amenities. Great location when travelling along the trans Canada highway. I'm travelling across canada by vehicle and will certainly be staying there on my why back.
location, service, cleanliness, breakfast are all excellent!! The pool and hot tub area was clean and bright Bonus was the underground parking Will definitely stay again and highly recommend to family and friends
We stayed two nights and had a very pleasant and restful stay. Both my wife and I were very pleased with the room. The bed we slept on was very comfortable and of a higher quality. The complementary breakfast provided a great deal of options. Just be sure to get to the breakfast place early on Saturday and Sunday mornings -big crowds. The hotel is well laid out and the different amenities were easy to find, Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Saskatoon.
This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The hotel looks nice, smells newly-renovated, and above all, they have these fancy lighting indicators outside of each room where they display the room numbers showing green, white, or red light depending on the guests' needs. Green means needs housekeeping, red light means do not disturb, and white light means neither. Gym is open 24/7. There's also a pool beside it. Didn't use those two so can't comment on them. Breakfast is free, is served at 6 am and has a full breakfast. They have a wide selection of food choices. There's only one meat choice though. They alternate between days (bacon on one day, ham on the other, etc.) The room that I have (2 queen) has a sink outside the washroom and a sink inside. Fancy! The shower curtain is too short though! If you're the first user of the shower, the dry shower curtain will just slip through the tub! So please wet them before getting in! I did not expect it and my room got flooded! Luckily, there were only three of us and we used the fourth towel to wipe off the flood! They have surface parking and underground parking. We chose underground so it's easy to bring luggage back to the vehicle while checking out. They have a front and a back entrance. The card reader for the back entrance is between the storm door and the second door. Now that is a flaw, because one night, a homeless man reeking of alcohol slept inside between those two doors. Us checking out, trying to bring our luggage to the car, we were trying to sneak through the sleeping guy, and of course coming back we have to open the second door which goes to inside the hotel. So we tapped the keycard to open it, and then out of panic that the guy gets in, I forcefully struggled to close the door against the mechanized opening of the door. I was able to close it, but I broke the back door as a result. Couldn't open it anymore with the button. Oops. Going back to the room, I took a peek outside to our vehicle. To my surprise, the homeless guy was checking out our car peeking through the windows and checking out our tires! So out of fear that he breaks in or vandalize our vehicle (we drove all the way from Manitoba on a rental) we hurriedly brought more luggage down to the car and thankfully he was off the property by the time we went down. Coming back to check on my family still in the room, there was a spit on the floor where he slept (No worries, I won't upload it). Yikes! But still relieved that our vehicle left unscathed, and the door was also fixed too by staff, so what a relief there. So yes, the hotel itself is absolutely great, but just be careful of the sketchy elements surrounding it!
We were planning on using our business credit card, but my husband and I didn't realize that we both paid some of our suppliers the day before, so it needed a payment made on it. Not a huge deal because we have the company debit so we can just pay a $500 deposit. We haven't been "out" in years, so we pre-booked the hotel, were not told preauth on a credit card is the only way of entry, went out for supper, then met some friends at a nearby bar for drinks. We walked the entire length of 8th st to get to this hotel, checked in, credit card declined, offered to just pay cash and a deposit, told no cash allowed, offered $10,000 debit deposit, but still not accepted. Now it's 330am and my husband and I are just tired, there isn't another hotel for a mile, and we are denied entry. Teach your front desk people to have some common sense!
We stayed at this hotel to attend a family wedding during the August long weekend. The room was clean, breakfast served in the mornings and close to the various wedding venues. We would recommend this hotel.
A great place to stay with many other eating places and shopping within a short distance.Parking was adequate with a back secure entrance.Rooms were well ventilated with lots of room and bathrooms were clean and well stocked.Wifi in the hotel as well as cable tv.breakfast was very good with a large variety of food, the facility was clean albeit really full because of the hotel being ful.Staff were very friendly and also very helpful.I would recommend this hotel to everyone coming to Saskatoon.
Clean facility, pool with water slide, comfortable beds, friendly staff, good breakfast options. Very close to cinema, shopping mall, restaurants and easy access to highway. We travelled with infant and teenagers and would definitely stay here again.
Stopped here on our long journey home from the Canadian Rockies. Staff were friendly, rooms were comfortable, close to restaurants, etc. Pool area was nice but a few rowdy kids in it. Breakfast had a great selection and price was great.
Good price, breakfast included with a great variety, comfortable beds, very clean, nice good size pool, very friendly staff, I stayed in the first floor for a quick access to the pool and this room does not have carpet floor.
This hotel is fantastic for the money. It's new, clean in a great location. The morning breakfast is the highlight for me. Several options, hot breakfast, multiple cereals and a fridge full of yogurt.fresh fruit every day. Perfect!
We called this hotel prior to arriving the clerk was very rude and spoke over me. On checking into our room we discovered that it was dirty. There were pubic hairs in the bathtub. During our 3 day stay we asked housekeeping to sweep the floor. The housekeeper gave us attitude and did not sweep the floor. We were put right next to the font desk where it was very noisy making it difficult to sleep. Would not recommend this hotel!
Stayed at this Best Western for a night. The hotel is very new and is well kept. It is located very close to Circle Drive making for easy access off one of the main roadways. There was no traffic noise and was very quiet. The room was bright and felt quite large. There were two sinks in our room which helped in the morning. There is outdoor parking as well and an underground parkade available for no charge which was much appreciated. Breakfast in the morning had plenty of options and was good. Would be happy to stay here again if I was passing through Saskatoon.
Good family orientated Hotel. Wheelchair accessibility is good but can be improved on a bit (Full Roll In showers with no ridges or lips, bigger bathrooms). Pool and Fitness facilities are good. Breakfast was ok. Clean rooms but limited housekeeping services
Customer service was very good and rooms were very clean. It was very convenient to get to and to park. The breakfast was excellent, lots of options and served early, which we needed. All in all a positive stay. We have been often and will definitely use this hotel again.
It is right across the street from shopping and there are many food options. It is also close t grocery stores if the need arises. I am very happy with how quiet the location is, since it is on a busy street and the option for underground parking. The breakfast was very good with many options.
Love staying at this hotel. Clean rooms (no carpet!), fantastic breakfast with great hot item selections, and super friendly staff. Parking is free and there is underground parking available too! Beds and pillows are very comfy. There is a large space for doing work with plug ins and USB ports. The location is great. I have stayed here several times for both work and leisure .
Noisy location with poor to non-existent disabled parking. Rear entrance to building was only option. Nonexistent signage on door to gain access. Distance to from Breakfast area stopped us from accessing breakfast service.
My Stay was for business. The location of the hotel was very convenient. I also appreciated that there was. Microwave and Refrigerator in the room.. Numerous excellent restaurants within walking distance .
my boyfriend and i, had an amazing stay. it's our second stay & it was even better. comfortable king size bed, beautiful walk in shower. room was clean and very nice! 10/10 stars for me, i will be staying here again!
Booked a Rush Staycation, and so happy we did! The package included two nights, tickets to the Rush game, transportation to/from Sasktel Centre, AND $75 prepaid Visa card. It was a great value. Rooms were clean, beds were incredibly comfy, and staff were extremely friendly and hard workers. The hot tub was relaxing, and fitness room had everything needed. The only reason they didn't get a five star on this review was because the breakfast room started to remove food and drink 10 minutes before they were set to close. I prefer to eat later in the morning, so when breakfast goes till 10am, I expect that to mean food is removed at 10am (not 9:50am).
Never had a hotel mattress as comfy as this before. Good salt-water pool with small slide and hot tub. Pool was too full for us to use one night. Good selection at complimentary breakfast, although it did run out of waffle batter by 8:30. Still lots of other food. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Location is nice right across from the Centre mall with cineplex, Indigo, Starbucks and a Co-op grocery store.
We checked into this hotel early as we called and asked if this was possible. They were able to accommodate a few hours early which was great. The hotel was very clean, the front desk was quick, on our check in, our room was clean and very up to date. There is an offer for underground parking which was great given the reason for our stay. Breakfast that is served in the morning is a hearty one filled with many choices. The kids loved the water slide and pool — this was a hotel stay win.
The front desk was busy when we arrived (lots of activities going on!) but they were able to get people through quickly and efficiently. All staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and fresh. The breakfast room was large and well stocked. The location was perfect for our destination that weekend.
Hotel service was good. Breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable and room temperature was easily adjustable. I would say that their pool would be ideal for children in the 7-12 age range. We were there with small children and the pool temperature was too cold for them to enjoy themselves much and the slide was WAY too fast for their liking. The chlorine levels seemed on the high side (everyone ended up with a chlorine rash) and the ventilation in their pool is not great and we found ourselves (and many other guests) coughing while in the pool facility. The other downside is the pool is located on the main floor near the entrance with several huge windows facing the parking lot and 8th street. We also found that the rooms weren't very sound proof and we could hear much of the talking and moving around from the family next door. I wouldn't say the value for what you pay at this hotel was worth it.
I travel frequently for business, and I always appreciate my stay at the Best Western Plus East Side, thanks to the convenient location, secure underground parking, and, most importantly, the amazing staff.
Hotel is amazing, new clean and friendly staff. Today was minus 30 Celsius so the underground parking was very nice, what a treat. As always the breakfast was very good, lots of choice and great accommodating staff!
My husband and 6 month old son stopped to spend the night on our way home for Christmas. The room and beds were cozy and we are looking forward to our next stay. The hotel is very welcoming to families!
Awesome location and staff. love that they have a free breakfast, hot tub and pool. nice to be close to circle park mall for shopping. The bed was really comfortable and the temperature was easily controlled in our room. Only had a shower, no tub, but that worked for us
This is one of the best places we have stayed in a long time. Clean comfortable and great staff. The rooms are large and very comfortable, breakfast was above average, Loved the huge walk in shower. Very comfortable bed
Rooms were great and clean - we stayed two nioghts however they did not do a gret job of making our room up and cleaning between nights however and when checking in i asked for bottles of water and was told they were for members only,, when i gave the clerk a disgusted look he gave me some, i should not have to do this.
Room was exceptional and hotel was very clean. Pool and hottub was a bonus addition. Hotel is close to shopping and there are great places to eat within walking distance. They do also offer underground parking.
Our stay at the Best Western Plus East Side was everything that we could wish it to be. We were a little reluctant to stay in a hotel with Covid19 being such a concern in our province but felt very safe in the hotel. Everything was spotless and other guests were also adhering to the rules of social distancing and only having one group or family on an elevator at a time. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Everything in the hotel was spotless. Would definitely stay here again.
Everything and everyone was the best experience we've had in a very long time. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and professional. The pool was clean and warm. The whole experience was pleasurable.
Lovely, clean, spacious room. Underground parking available. Cheerful, friendly, helpful staff. Excellent complimentary breakfast room. Great location on 8th Street - close to numerous shops, restaurants and take-out joints.
great location for us ,spent 3 nights , very surprised with the availability of under ground parking I found that a bonus. the rooms and common areas were spotless . decent ,comfortable place . will stay there again
Clean hotel, decent service, great location. Not impressed with hidden charges. Booked online for 2 nights, 3 adults. Confirmed the TOTAL charges of $298. Charged $308 on checkout and extra adult charges showed up on the invoice. I realize it's only like $10, but it was still not posted nor was I informed of additional charges prior to staying. This is slimy corporate behaviour. I'll book somewhere else next time.
Our first time at this property on busy 8th St. in Saskatoon. The lobby and our room were clean and front desk staff was very pleasant. We were disappointed to see our king-sized bed with very sparse (thin) bedding and only 2 pillows for 2 people (one each) - with NO EXTRA pillows or blanket provided. Having 2 sinks in the room was nice, but there were no towels or soap provided for the second sink. Finally, there absolutely needs to be REAL coffee provided with the in-room K-cups, not just decaf or tea. Hopefully these suggestions for improvement will be taken seriously - remember, it's the little things that count!
Stayed at this hotel before and it was great with a lovely location and a good breakfast, not so this time. Communication between staff is terrible. Our first room was scary and a total mess , the desk said oh well the room was cleared. He gave us another and it was better but the hallways were no clean. The under ground park is hard to access and two the the three day is was locked to us. There is a lot of breakfast choice but a bad lay out make it had to get much and what you can get is cold not hot. This was our 42nd anniversary and it is now a very memorable one for many strange reasons. It does seem like you are a forgotten guest in this hotel.
Enjoy our overnight stay, rooms clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Location handy to the Circle Dr and Circle Mall. Very good breakfast with great Covid precautions, buffet style but plastic gloves were provided.
I completed a pre check in including my fiancé's name and our check in time (after 10:00 pm). When we arrived, we were told we were already checked in and given a key card. When I opened the door, it was locked and there was another couple inside. They had checked other people in under our name and into our room. We requested another room, but the man at the front desk spent his time on the phone trying to find out what happened instead of listening to us. He insisted we stay in a room with my mom who was also checked in. We told him she had a single bed and was already asleep. He kept making phone calls and wouldn't talk to us. We were given another room, but we're also informed it had not been cleaned. The man at the front desk said to give him 10 minutes to clean it and returned in 5. When we went in, there were nail clippings in the toilet, and one of the beds (though made up) appeared slept in. The security guard came to the door with a bag of toiletries and toilet paper. We couldn't sleep at all. We were given a complimentary night for our trouble. We had to ensure our names and credit card were taken off the other room, and everything was straightened out. Once we changed to a clean room with a king bed (what we originally booked), I found the room modern and comfortable. We did have an issue with noise early in the morning. It sounded like people in the room above us were running around and rearranging furniture. We did not report this to hotel staff since we were checking out.
The front desk guy so accommodating and friendly, super clean room, they have too much variety of breakfast everyday, with underground parking, and super clean feels of the entire hotel. This is a very good place to stay with.
Very impressed surf hotel! Great amenities, close to shopping, restaurants. Only suggestion is to make the platform beds a little lower as my elderly mother had a hard time crawling in! Great value for the money!
Our stay was pleasant. We took advantage of the pool. Breakfast was enjoyable. The availability of underground parking was convenient. Staff was accommodating, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was clean and orderly.
we always select BW over other hotels usually because of their price and included breakfast. We did stay at 2 other BW locations, and this one here in Saskatoon is by far the best one we've stayed at. Very clean, and it looks that it probably had a recent neon as there is NO CARPET in the rooms. It has some kind of tile which is washed daily. That in itself is worth the stay. Carpets never get washed daily. So now, with the tile flooring, you know you are getting a clean floor.
Saskatoon was a pleasant surprise very beautiful town with lots of trees. The best Western was clean nice and best of all had a pool with water slide which my daughter truly enjoyed the staff was kind and courteous and the rooms were clean good water pressure and comfortable beds
Very clean and modern hotel. Rooms are very up to date, clean & nicely laid out. Bathrooms are well designed. Halls & lobby very up to date & clean. Close to places to eat & fairly quiet even though it is near circle drive
Very nice rooms! Salt water pool was great fun for 3 generations. Bathtub was a little disappointing, way too small for a good soaking bath. Overall good experience, and very friendly, and helpful staff.
The hotel has very friendly staff! The rooms are clean and comfortable! Breakfast is included but is currently a “grab & go” (due to Covid)! Parking is either outside or underground! Located near many restaurants and shops!
If you plan on staying In a hotel In Saskatoon I highly recommend staying at this Best Western. Check In was very easy, the staff was wonderful to deal with, sleek rooms, very clean hotel and just a fantastic overall experience.
Clean hotel, close to many different amenities and restaurants. Pool clean , nice small water slide, followed good Covid protocols. Newer property, nice set up rooms with fridge, microwave and Keurig coffee
I was very impressed with this beautiful hotel. The gentleman at check-in was helpful and very kind. I quickly checked in and parked undreground. The suite was a dream come true, clean, beautiful and lots of room for my family of five. The pool was a lot of fun! Everyone who works there was very friendly, helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Overall, the best hotel I have stayed in town. Everyone who wants to have a great staycation and rest, should definately come and stay at this hotel. Looking forward to my next visit!
The room was very clean, staff was friendly! Pool was fun and the water slide was a hit. The beds were hard and there was no space for a family larger than 4. Breakfast had a few options and we understand that there are changes due to Covid precautions. We would book here again.
So, Best Western PLUS used to mean it was a little better quality of a Best Western hotel. The PLUS has gone downhill. i used to stay with BW all the time. It was my first choice for a hotel. After living all across Canada and experiencing some of the hotels in many regions, i have moved to a different brand. BW is not what it used to be. The breakfast used to be incredible, the rooms were better than an average hotel, the pools were great...now you can stay in a budget hotel and get amazing pools, and whoopie, you have to pay for breakfast, but what you save in staying there pays for a WAY better breakfast than your current offering(dont blame COVID, DO BETTER). The rooms are just okay, but nothing special anymore, but BW rates certainly compete, by being just as high as other hotel chains but with a more mediocre offering. BW, do better...
If you have small children go somewhere else! The pool Manager is wayyy over zealous, down right uncomfortable because he physically hovers over you! We did not feel comfortable there. We also seen him pick up and move other guests stuff, without permission including a man's wallet that was moved closer to the door, where anyone could have grabbed it and ran. Yes there are rules and apparently they include making guests feel uncomfortable. NOT RECOMMENDED.
Very easy check in. Room was exceptionally clean. Friendly staff. Took extra COVID precautions. Was close to amenities. Easy access off main highway. Underground parking was easy to use. Located in safe area.
The exterior of the building in the main foyer was leaking through the light fixtures, but overall everything else was excellent. The swimming pool was busy, but too be expected. The rooms have doorbells and neat light notifications for do not disturb.
Enjoyed a very clean room, excellent service and well organized pool bookings for Covid Precautions. Breakfast was very good, room was very clean and service was quick, painless and will recommend this hotel for families in the future!
The experience was great beginning with the very friendly welcoming attitude of Ajith who took our booking reservation and was very friendly and welcoming at front desk as was Vanessa on the phone. Check-in was quick and we were happy to be offered underground parking with the temperature dropping to -40C. that night. Cleanliness and sanitation was excellent. Breakfast was very good considering the Covid restrictions we were given choices for what we received in a bag that we could pick up in the morning . We were pleased with the way the pool reservations were done also. Mall across the street has been an attraction in past stays here but with Covid we stayed in the hotel. Housekeeping staff were friendly and when I accidentally lost my scarf in the hallway or lobby on my way out Laurie (head of Housekeeping) agreed to send it to me since I live too far away to go back to pick it up.
Friendly service at the front desk, beautiful new hotel, wonderful pool with small waterslide and hot tub, very clean large room with comfortable bed, bagged breakfast due to covid was exceptional given the circumstance, reasonable priced stay. Definitely will be back.
We were just passing through Saskatoon so we had a short quick stay. The rooms were very clean and the beds were very comfy. Would definitely stay again. Due to covid-19 the hotel wasnt serving breakfast but had a form to fill out and you go down and pick up your breakfast items that you chose. It's not the same but they did their best.
Excellent staff and facilities. Very clean and accommodating during COVID. However, breakfast was not accommodating for us as it was a go bag with cold breakfast sandwich and package of oatmeal -- difficult to warm while driving!
We stayed here due to an appointment in the city. The hotel is in an excellent spot with free underground parking. The manager on duty was very accommodating and they have very very good cleaning and sanitizing procedures. The room was amazing. Warm , come, spacious and a great shower. The breakfast to go had good choices and certainly better than others I've seen. For the quality of the rooms the price was good. Will be back.
Very clean and modern. Being a Best Western loyalty member gave us the lowest price. Pre ordered bag breakfast due to COVID - convenient. Room and lobby all very clean. Definitely will be our Place of choice in Saskatoon
Really enjoyed the comfort of my stay. Under ground parking was fabulous along with the front desk services. I will be definitely going back on my next business trip. Awesome swimming pool and very well kept.
Travelling during Covid, the hotel was extremely clean and all precautions were taken. Staff were wonderful, bed and pillows were very comfortable and the rooms were spotless. Very pleased overall! Location is also very good if you need food, gas, coffee shops etc. We were so pleased with this hotel we stayed here on the return portion of our trip.
I was so impressed by how this hotel handles this pandemic stays. From the moment of Check in to check out. The guy who was working that night is very accomodating & knowledgeable of his job. He is very friendly & really knows what his doing. I would love to stay in this hotel again.
We were so impressed by how this hotel and its crew are managing during the pandemic to still offer excellent service. Top notch organization, signage, sanitizing stations... and they adapted their free breakfast to allow more options than just a muffin and juice box by allowing us to choose (the night before) from quite a number of options. The next morning at our chosen breakfast time everything was ready to be picked up and taken back to our room. Loved also that the pool was open (while maintaining appropriate low numbers of people at a time), not too cold, and the hot tub was definitely hot! I also love that there is a separate (additional) sink and mirror outside of the room's bathroom to allow brushing of teeth or combing of hair while another is using the toilet. And no noisy fan in the bathroom everytime you enter which we have run into in other hotels (then waking my spouse when using the washroom at night). Mattresses were very comfortable, yet supportive. And there were two different pillow densities so you could choose softer or firmer (or one of each) on the beds.
Quick check in. Friendly staff. Very clean and well maintained room. Hand sanitizer available. Dining room closed due to pandemic but hotel offered a 'to go' brown bag breakfast (we did not order). Underground heated parking. We will stay again.
Due to COVID19, dining room was closed. Complimentary breakfast was poor. Bread products dry. Very limited selection. Would have been nice to have been made aware so we could bring our own food. Overall impressed. Next time I will check on food. I will stay there again. I will recommend this location to friends.
Everything is good i like the environment and staff is very friendly everyone is so nice enjoyed my trip. Very nice view outside abd room was totally clean and organized with everything in it. See u next time
Right from the beginning this was a good experience, the desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice and if this is not a new hotel it is very well maintained. They also have heated underground parking which is nice in Saskatoon during the winter. The included breakfast was good and seemed fresh. Lots of nearby restaurants and shopping so it's in a good location.
Front end staff were exceptional, efficient and helpful. Check in was easy and check out was even better. Beds were extremely comfrotable, and the restaurant was one of the best Continentals I ever had!
I stayed there last night to get a good night's sleep before a day of meetings but hardly slept. I live in a small community with little traffic & was given a room facing 8th Street. Loud muffler going up & down the street until after midnight, a parking lot or street being scraped with banging, scraping & beeping at 3am & loud traffic started up all again at 6am. Hardly slept! The room was great, the hotel is clean & new but I will never take a room at the front again! Only accept a room like 201, 301 or 401 if you have hearing loss or are used to lots of night traffic.
The rooms have hardwood flooring and marble counter tops for a luxurious apperance. The staff is always friendly and quick to service. There is heated underground parking with an elevator that leads right up to the rooms.
Very nice in numerous aspects. Nice hotel, comfy beds, great breakfast area, close to the mall. Very friendly housekeeping staff. We like the fact there is NO carpeting on the floor, just nice vinyl planking, feels so much cleaner than a carpet.
Very clean, its great to have no carpets.A great breakfast with everything that one would need. There is a pool. The bed was very comfortable with nice soft pillows. There was a microwave And fridge very handy.
Met and exceeded expectations. Awesome breakfast selection. Well-kept comfortable rooms. Nice pool with slide for kids and families. Great central location. Close to the Saskatoon airport and shopping. Would definitely stay there again!
The rooms were clean. The breakfast was very nice. Lots to choose from. Staff were excellent. We required a large space for our family to have dinner together as we didn't want to go out of the hotel. They gelled us set up the breakfast room so we could all eat together. Our stay was a Very good experience over all.
Staff went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing stay. Every time. So professional and kind. We keep returning to this hotel for amazing facilities, top floor service and breakfast ahhhhh. The breakfast is awesome. The pool is spectacularly fun.
The hotel is located in an area with convenient access to anywhere in the city. Great breakfast. Clean rooms (No carpets, yeah!). I arrived late and check in was quick as was check out. Forgot my tooth brush and one was provided by hotel staff.
I was VERY IMPRESSED at the cleanliness and service of this hotel, but the staff were INCREDIBLE. Very friendly, welcoming and went above and beyond. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The daily breakfast was hot, nicely presented and had a large selection of items. The underground heated parking was a god send in the -35 cold snap being experienced in Saskatoon. The room was modern, bright and the large TV was very nice and easy to use..
We received a discount with our letter from the oral surgeon. My husband forgot his shaving accessories. I asked at the desk if there was complimentary shaver and cream and sure enough. Breakfast was great. Lots to choose from. This is the second time we have been here and it still is the best place to stay. We will continue to stay here every visit to Saskatoon on east side.
We stopped in to break up a travel with 3 kids. we are so glad we chose this hotel. The kids loved the pool. The water wasnt to cold like alot of hotels. Slide was fun. Hot tub was great. Breakfast had alot of option which is great with 3 picky kids. They had a travel crib for us to use which was clean and new looking. Comfy bed and blankets.
This hotel is very clean and well maintained. The decor is pleasant. A good variety of breakfast items are available in the morning. The rooms have some extras that i appreciated, i.e. makeup mirror, makeup wipes, shoe cleaner, tea kettle as well as Keurig coffee maker, and a safe. The check in clerk was very pleasant and helpful. There is underground parking which is a plus during the Winter in Saskatoon.
We stayed here on Dec21, 2019, we had 2 rooms rented.. The service was excellent very friendly staff. The hotel was very clean, The breakfast was excellent with a great variety of food. The Grand children used the pool but the water had a lot of chlorine. They did not stay in the pool very long their eyes were burning.
Nice clean hotel. Minutes from great shopping, restaurants and the university. Nice to be able to walk across the road to the mall and Starbucks. Quick and easy check-in and even faster check out was great!
I stay in alot of hotels for work travel and this hotel is at the top of my list. The rooms are super clean (no carpet!) and well appointed. The breakfast is great with many options for hot food, cold food, fruit, yogurt and coffee. Front desk staff are wonderful, always friendly and helpful. Free underground parking is another really big plus. Great location on 8th Street. Prices are excellent as well. Highly recommend this property!
I have stayed at this hotel many times over the past few years for business and pleasure, have never experinced any issues. The rooms are decorated nicely with laminate flooring, huge improvement over carpet. Exercise room open 24 hours a day is a plus and staff always helpful and greet you with a smile. Breakfast is the average you generally get with your room, it is OK and does have some vareity. There is always attendants there cleaning after those who choose not to pick up after themselves. However I do wish there was more attention paid to those coming to breakfast bare feet or handling food with hands rather than the untensils provided. The value at this hotel is excellent.
Family enjoyed it good pool a little small but reasonable great waterslide good variety for a continental breakfast. The state was so enjoyable that we even bought gift cards for family members. Good prices.
I have a knee replacement. Will exiting the pool, the rail had some sort of off grease or hydration, causing me to be unable to use it. I asked my husband to come over and help me,I used his assistance as well as the greasy rail to try to step up onto the deck when my hand went fully around the rail, causing me to cut open my cold. I then fell down onto my hip and back. The company said it was not their fault as they handles all of the safety rules. I will tell everyone I can about the uneven steps, and the unsafe rail and finally the way BEST WESTERN PLUS COES NOT stand behind the safety of their customers.
One of my favourite hotels to stay at - this place is always clean (and I'm picky) and the service is top notch! The breakfast is always plentiful with many options. I think there's something for everyone - even the fussiest eaters. Beds are comfortable. Street noise can be an issue, but they will happily put you in a room away from the street side if you ask :)
This looks to be a newly renovated hotels with some nice upgrades. I liked the idea that there were not carpets in the rooms. For people with allergies this is a plus because personally I don't have carpets in my home because of allergies now I feel this Best Western in Saskatoon is my place to stay whenever in town. Note slippers would be a good idea.
This hotel is a great place to stay while in Saskatoon. It is very clean and well maintained, the beds are very comfortable, the staff are pleasant and the included continental breakfast has a decent selection and it's good.
The management and staff at the Best Western East Side in Saskatoon did an amazing job of hosting our family gathering again this year. The Water Slide, pool and hot tub were enjoyed by many from our group! Thank you.
We stayed here because it was close to where we wanted to go. The staff was very friendly, the room was amazing, the breakfast was very good and the facility was so clean. The pool was very good and the waterslide was amazing for a hotel, never got tired of going down. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Very clean modern hotel, with free underground parkade, and good quality WIFI signal. Breakfasts are good, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants and shopping. Close to Circle drive, the perimeter road for the city.
The hotel is very clean, well-kept and there wasn't any of those 'stale' carpet smells common to some chain hotels or motels. The staff was very friendly, professional, warm and helpful. Conveniently located across a mall and easily accessible to a lot of places, specially 8th St, which has a lot of great restaurants, I totally recommend this hotel. Staff willingly stored my luggage when my flight got delayed after my check out, thus allowing me to go out to eat and shop a bit. Great service and great price for value!
I took my time finding a place to stay when I went to the city. It didn't disappoint. My family enjoyed the stay even for 1 night. The front desk is friendly and the breakfast is enjoyable. We left an item that we didnt notice was missing but the staff let us know. Clean rooms and place. Satisfied!
not a bad place for a short stay.Room was clean and quiet. Pool was out of order. I attempted to book online but wasn't able to do so. Reception was friendly and helpful but very difficult to understand
We have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and will continue to do so in the future. Very clean, helpful and friendly staff, good location for our purposes. The breakfast has lots of variety and overall it is a great value for your money.
We had a certificate for a free stay at any Best Western between certain dates. Due to work commitments we were unable to travel anywhere exciting so we decided to do a date night at home. We stayed at the hotel, went to a movie and nearby bar and enjoyed the hotel hot tub. The staff treated us just like we were guests from afar and were friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. The decor was local photos which was a nice touch.
Can't say enough about how pleasant this hotel is! The staff is friendly and helpful. Terrific selection of items at breakfast. They even put cones out in front of the EV charging spots so they aren't blocked by other vehicles!
This hotel has friendly and caring staff. It is clean and neat with a great nights sleep. The prices are reasonable and the bed quite comfortable. There is a breakfast provided with the room. I really enjoyed my stay.
We have stayed at this Hotel on several occasions and always found it to be a pleasant experience as the staff are polite, friendly and helpful. always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. The location makes it easy to access any part of Saskatoon. Shopping, theatres, restuarants, coffee shops, etc. are within easy walking distance.
Very happy with our stay here. It was a little more than we usually pay, but I can't think of one thing I can complain about. The decor is modern, very clean, large tv, 2 sinks, free breakfast was very good with lots of choices, express check out, lots of restaurants nearby. Felt very comfortable staying there. We will definitely stay there again.
Great hotel at a fabulous location. Close to all amenities including shopping. Morning breakfast is wonderful. Rooms are extremely clean with tasteful decor. We had a pet friendly room and it was super clean. Love that there was no carpet in room. Beds are super comfy with deluxe pillows.
I came to Saskatoon for work. The hotel is near the east side and easy to get onto the main roads travelling around Saskatoon. There are plenty of restaurants within 5 blocks of the hotel. Plenty of grocery and pharmacy shops as well.
Stayed there for a Family Wedding, nice to all be together, loved the pool, Breakfast, Rooms super clean, beds and pillows so comfortable, and Quiet, couldn't hear other rooms or hall way so that was nice. The location across from Mall and other activities was nice to have.
I booked a room at this hotel after reading there policies. I booked through Expedia because it was cheaper. I called the hotel and asked for early check in because I had people coming to use the pool. I was told they will try. When we showed up for my eight year olds birthday, and all of his friends showed up, they told me we can't use the pool because it's a birthday party. Said they had policy that you can't have birthdays there. But it still doesn't state that in there policies they don't allow birthdays. They turned us away, but still won't give me my money back. Nice hotel, but poorly ran. I will never in my life, ever use best western. And I gave past the word.
Best accommodations we've stayed at! Rooms were very clean and all amenities available. Will definitely be our first choice in the future. The location suited the occasion with many restaurants to choose from and shopping was a beeeze.
I stayed here with my sister and 2 of my children for a medical appointment. I had requested a crib for my son in my reservation and my pre check in. Upon arrival we were told we still had to verbally request one and that the did not have any left. We were then told they only 3 cribs for a 4 floor hotel. The room and breakfast met expectations. The pool was cooler temperatures wise and is saltwater , kids enjoyed the water slide. We did have issues in evening swimming with intoxicated grown men behaving poorly in the pool area. One of the men was in the hot tub had to run out of the pool area out the emergency door to get sick just off the side walk. Another cannon balled into the hot tub, played tag on the slide and took over the pool. Staff was in and out of pool area often and were aware of what was happening. Unfortunately this hotel will not be on my list of places to stay when we return to the city for medical appointments.
Stopped here July 17th, since i've been here before and it's a really great hotel. Same deal this time... great rooms and beds, microwave and little fridge makes things handy for keeping road snacks. Super cool showers, and the pool was nice, hot tub was HOT, which is nice... Breakfast was simply awesome as usual! Parking is pretty good out back, but if you drive a one- ton dually, might be tight. Access is quick and easy. Also a short walk from a number of good restaurants and across the street from a big Indigo book store. Hotel is just off the "Circle Drive" which gets you around Saskatoon pretty easily, so very handy location. Not shockingly- it's on the East side...as the name suggests...
We stayed here for two nights while in city for a wedding. This hotel is in a great location, right off Circle Drive/Hwy 16. Really close to many restaurants, services, mall and city attractions. The hotel is incredibly clean and well maintained. We were on the 4th(top) floor, very quiet and excellent elevators. They have an underground parkade at no cost, easy access to elevators and rooms. The rooms are very modern, large and spotless. Bathrooms are great with awesome shower! Two sinks, one inside main bathroom, one outside of door with mirror, really nice touch! Wifi worked excellent, fast speeds, never boots you off. The rooms here are top notch, tough to beat, especially for price!! The breakfast room is large with TV's, window views and lots of seating. Great hot choices of items, eggs, meats and waffle machines. Lots of choices of fruits, cereals, even granola bars! This breakfast is excellent and way better than most, especially in price range. They have really nice pool, gym and computer work area, all well done. This hotel really hits the mark and is an outstanding value. Would love to stay here again!!
well cant say much more than its a wise choice to stay here. very clean and staff helpful room was large and had automatic c lights for bathroom 2 chairs which was a nice touch. breakfast bars omeletts sausauge oatmeal not instant hard boiled eggs yogurt many choices even glass plates. will stay again
Best Western overall experience was fantastic. Excellent service and continental breakfast. The pool area very nice. Located in a perfect shopping area. Mall across from it. Rooms are above our expectations. Will be staying here every time we are in the city. 5 stars!!
Was a great location for the events we had planned while in Saskatoon. Good selection of place to eat close by. The rooms are decorated quite nice. Loved that there was no old dirty carpet to contend with, the flooring made it seem much cleaner. They have a really nice breakfast with a good variety of options to choose from. My granddaughter loved the waterslide.
Definitely the best Best Western I have stayed in USA & Canada, where we have been travelling for 5 months so far. The room was large, bed and pillows comfortable. Breakfast was good in terms of both variety and quality. All hotel premises were very clean. Staff helpful and friendly. What made the major difference was: no carpet in the room (i.e. no dust and dirt collectors!), possibility to open the window, doors closed smoothly and do not slam every time people gets in and out, very good building quality, very well soundproof walls and no noise could be heard from the inside of the hotel i.e. corridors, other rooms, waterpipes, etc. In conclusion: an exceptional hotel for USA & Canada standards.
we came into town for the car show. We were able to check in at 2.30 which was great. hot tub felt great after driving. this is very clean welcoming place. was really quiet and I know it was full that night. breakfast was great lots to choose from.
Loved my stay and always do. The best hotel to stay in saskatoon. Friendly staff clean rooms and overall great experience. Love the gym, pool and hot tub as well. Across from the mall makes getting my Starbucks a breeze.
Easy check in, clean rooms decent breakfast. would not hesitate to stay again. enjoyed the hot tub and pool area. The location was good lots of restaurants in the area. Was not afraid to go out for a walk in the evening.
Excellent stay with 7 year old. The pool and slide were the highlight of the trip. Nice breakfast area and well stocked. Only complaint was the terrible view from room 205, two thirds of the window was blocked by the adjoining corrugated black steel building. Will avoid that room or similar rooms in the future.
Fantastic new hotel. Great location. Very clean and great service. The rooms are spacious and the beds and pillows very comfortable. I really liked how the flooring is all vinyl plank, no carpet. Great selection of breakfast items, hot and cold. The breakfast area was very well looked after and well stocked. Another bonus is underground parking that is free. Good location for restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend staying here!
Would not stay here again. Pool is no longer like the dated pics. Chose this for a relaxing hot tub after a long drive. NOT. Paint chipping, no showers visible ICK. No towels visible.attendant MIA. Poor lighting. No signage. Room meh, tiny bathroom. Thermostat ineffective. Parking lot sketchy. Positives, grill ok, front desk service superb, good bed..
Great family hotel, it had everything we needed. Close to shopping, movie theater, arcades and resturants. The free breakfast buffet in the morning was also excellent for adults and kids. We would come back again and again.
The overall experience was very good. The room was very nice and clean with a comfortable bed. The complimentary breakfast was of good quality and had a great selection. I would recommend the Best Western Plus East Side to any traveller.
Very well kept property, personnel were very helpful, clean and quiet. An excellent Best Western Property to stay at. Excellent breakfast variety. For our travels this summer, this property is well worth visiting.
Great stay in Saskatoon. Following my GPS, it was kind of tricky finding the entrance as no sign on road but attached to hotel. Easy checkin, pool looked great but did not have time to get in. Room is very clean and quiet and excellent shower pressure. WIFI is very strong. Fantastic spacious breakfast area with eggs, bacon, potatoes, waffles, cereal, coffee, fruit... everything you would need. Very clean and well stocked. I was surprised by my view in room 205... 2/3 of window blocked by steel roofing...lol. I could of asked for different room, but we weren't there for the view. Convenient mall across the street with an Indigo Chapters, a CO-OP grocery store, Shoppers Drug Mart, Atmosphere, SportsChek and more. Also gas station across the street and easy access to highway 16. Yes , we would return.
This is our go to hotel when in Saskatoon. Very clean, very comfortable and the breakfast area is so well organized and roomy. The cookies and ice tea in the evening are such a nice touch. The access into the hotel is a bit tricky but once you're there you'll enjoy your stay!
Decorated nicely, clean, big room. No bathtub though. Underground parking was nice because we left alot of our stuff in the car overnight. I was suprised, this is probably the nicest best western I have stayed in. Nice to stay somewhere clean after traveling all day.
Pool and water slide were great! Large, clean, quiet room. Breakfast included. Free parking but underground parking was closed. Easy access to everything. Nice to have coffee, tea and cookies in the lobby 24 hours. Pleasant stay.
Good Value Entrance is a bit tricky Close to the University and eighth street businesses. Hotel was quiet and good for sleeping Parking garage was closed but there was lots of outside parking Would stay there again
When we checked in Ajith was very friendly and informative about the amenities that the hotel offered. All the staff including housekeeping and the breakfast ladies were great. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and the breakfast was very good.
This hotel was great for our young family, they had excellent free breakfast items for the kids, as well as health conscious adults. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only downfall was that the pool was quite cold, however it was nice that our 6 year old could touch the ground from one end to the other.
Parking was very poor this time. The normally available approx. 35 underground parking stalls were not accessable due to broken sensor/parts - it sounded like this had been a problem for several days! to compound that parking loss, were a few large, long industrial trucks that each took up 3 - 4 stalls! We had to park in the nearby JYSK parking lot and walk a little further - normally that would not be a problem, but I have a walking disability, thus our family was not impressed this time at this hotel with the parking problems! We were told after the 1st night that if we asked the front desk, staff could operate the underground door manually to get in, but this too much of an inconvenience! The rooms have uncarpeted floors which makes for more noise transmission between floors. The long marble like desk and dreser area top is very nice! The included hot breakfast buffet is nice, but should have 2 meats, like ham and bacon each day. The real metal cutlery and real plates/cups/bowls was appreciated! Three juices and soft apple flavoured cereal bars were nice. The kitchen staff did a great job at restocking the food and cleaning the tables! The TV had about 5 French channels which should be replaced with other more useable channels - this is not France! The TV was large at about 48", but could offer more channels - again way too many sports channels! The two Queen sized beds were good for sleeping. The separate 2nd sink area outside the main bathroom was a nice amenity and appreciated. The toilet should be the 2" taller ADA heigth and have the elongated bowl/seat for easier access for older and large people!
This location was great. Just off the highway and across from a shopping mall. The lobby offered cookies and infused water which was a great treat upon arriving. Love the floors in our room. Finally no carpet. Everything was very clean. Staff was very friendly. Would stay here again.
The staff were very accommodating, and went above and beyond. Excellent customer service for this hotel. I really appreciated the extra call from the fellow at the front desk. He was checking to see if everything was good and to see if there was anything else they could help us with.
This is a lovely new facility that unfortunately is in a somewhat sketchy area. The breakfast was very good, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The decor feels quite modern, and my only complaint is that you have to use a face cloth to keep the shower door shut... and that the area is not the nicest.
Excellent hotel, very clean and well maintained, services and staff were excellent. Would definitely stay here again when I come back to Saskatoon. The best hotel I've ever stayed in with a reasonable price.
I am very happy with my stay. I was having a tough day with dog at the Animal Hospital nearby. The staff were all kind and helpful with any needs that I had arise. The breakfast had many options and healthy options which I appreciate.
Stayed here with friends during a dance competition and management let us practice in the breakfast room which was nice. Only complaints are they don't have any cots and the elevator was quite slow. Breakfast was great ! Pool area is nice
Very clean Very neat Great location with a variety of stores, restaraunts, businesses, and services. Very comfy beds Awesome hot breakfast !! The boys loved the waterslide and pool !! Very friendly and helpful staff We will be back !!
A group stayed in this hotel for a sports camp. The kids enjoyed the pool for many hours while parents watched in the exercise room or by the pool. Complimentary breakfast with lots of choices makes it quick and easy. Quick access to Circle drive meant we could get where we needed to go quickly. Travelling in a truck can be difficult to park at some locations but this hotel has lots of parking available with room for those larger vehicles while there is underground parking for the smaller ones.
Always a joy staying here! the staff are very friendly and always there to lend a hand or answer any questions you might have. I've stayed in many hotel and this rates up there with the best. If you have children, they have an excellent bright pool area for the kids play and a hot tub for you to relax and re-energize in while your children burn off their endless energy.
We had our family take a road trip for a night. The Best Western we choose had breakfast and a pool. The location was perfect across the street from a mall. The breakfast room was great. We went out to get a pizza for supper and the man at front desk let us eat it in breakroom. Nice no sitting on your bed eating pizza!
On arrival, my wife and family could not check in with out me. Because I was a Diamond point collector, I booked this stay on points. Without my credit card and ID my wife was not allowed to check in. I was about 6 hrs behind and was going to meet up with them at the hotel. Instead of being able to swim and relax in the room, they were waiting in the car for me. Next morning when I recieved my receipt it was made out to my 8 yr old son. Get yr program together, make your guests wait outside... Then send a bill to a kid. I stay at 30 hotels a year... But it won't ever be this one again. Pool was nice..breakfast was good.... Hotel policy and management sucks
Stayed 3 nights here on business. The staff is very accommodating and super nice. They have refreshments in the lobby and the express breakfast is impressive.nice pool and hot tub.....spotless clean with all modern amenities. Great place...can't wait to stay there again!!!!
We stayed on April 6th (one night) Check in-very quick provided underground parking Room-brand new clean, high ceilings 2 queen beds and mini fridge and microwave with kuerig coffee and kettle. Rooms noise-we were off 8th avenue (in the back of the hotel) and still heard tons of road noise. With laminate floors we also heard the guests in the floor above us (every step) they took. Breakfast included was very good-had hot offerings (eggs, potato, sausages, waffles, cereals, fruit, etc) and was well setup. All in all-nice shiny new hotel but very noisy- bring your earplugs if you are staying there.
I had a single room with king. Room was clean and spacious. Check-in was easy and breakfast was decent, had a full breakfast. Only complaint was that the fitness center was cramped and there was little to no option for resistance exercise.
We were greeted and recognized by front desk staff as regular guests which was very nice. The room was great (although the bed was a tad too soft for my back). Pool and hot tub were clean and relaxing. Breakfast was good but could have been warmer. Overall it was a relaxing stay and we will be back.
Nice, new, clean and amazing location. Being on 8th street is ideal. Shopping, restaurants and multiple activities. From 8th street the rest of Saskatoon is easily accesible via ring road, or broad street.
Very good place to stay especially for groups or teams. Close to a mall and a book store. Bit noisy at night because it is on the busiest street in Saskatoon. Very good continental breakfast. There is a waterslide here as well.
The only thing with this hotel there is one elevator for 4 floor so be prepare to wait. The breakfast was a disaster couldn't keep the serving area clean and organize and stock up it almost seem they had to many people for breakfast not well prepared.
The staff at this hotel are exceptionally friendly! The rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is hot/fresh with lots of variety, and the underground parking is so convenient! With Starbucks/Indigo right across the street, this hotel is my favorite "getaway" location.
the Best Western, Saskatoon, 8th street, is an excellent pet friendly hotel. Staff were helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast menu was varied . I highly recommend this facility for anyone travelling with a pet.
i love this hotel. swimming pool is clean, room is big with high ceilings. we stayed in the room with laminated floor which is great. Breakfast is fantastic. they offer cookies and juices at the lobby . This is byfar the cleanest 3* hotel we stayed in.
This hotel is fantastic. Great location with easy access to Circle drive, allowing you to get anywhere you need to be with ease. It is clean and modern, great breakfast assortment, and super kind staff.
Accommodated late checkout so my kids could stay at hotel while I went for procedure at hospital. I love they offer cookies, water, ice tea in lobby and underground parking. It's also nice to be across from a mall and chapters/Starbucks. Stayed before. Will stay again. You guys are great. Pool could be warmer but my kids didnt care just I did.
The hotel is clean and check in was quick. The options of cookie ms and drinks at the front were a hit for our group. The pool was nice. The rooms are decent sized with all extra amenities available. Love Best Westerns!
We loved our stay at the Best Western East Plus in Saskatoon and were happy with most of it, however understanding the desk person at the sign-in time was trying as he was very hard to understand. Also I found the breakfast almost perfect except the eggs were kind of spongy. Other than that we loved the pool and hot tub area, had an excellent night's rest and found the room to be very well taken care of in every aspect of our stay. We would highly recommend this hotel which is also in an excellent location for stores, restaurants, theaters and fuel.
We really enjoyed our night here. Fun pool, comfortable beds, decent breakfast. The free drinks/cookies in the evening were excellent perks. The man who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel was over run by a noisy unsupervised kids team of some kind that weekend, once we were in our room we didn't hear anything (thank god). Cons - only one elevator was a nightmare, especially considering the previously mentioned kids. The view out the window in our room was literally a grey wall of the building next door. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay so much that when the weather was bad the next morning, we decided to stay in the city one more night. Expedia showed rooms available, so I went to down the front desk to make arrangements. But the lady working was not one little bit interested in helping. She first said there was nothing available. When I pointed out that I already saw availability online, she changed her mind and said there were available rooms but only King rooms or “pet” rooms. When I said that was ok, she got very defensive about the fact that we would not be allowed to stay in the room we were. (Which I again said was ok). I could tell by then that was she not interested in helping us book another night, so I said we would just check out then and find something else. She said “ok sounds good”. So that's what we did. We had a wonderful stay at a different hotel that night, and that's the hotel we will return to next time.
This our home away from home. Weve stayed alot here this is oir favorite best western. Staff knows us by name. We came from bc and stoppped here after 10 hours in the vehicle and felt comfortable knowing we would get a good sleep.
The Best Western Plus East Side is a very comfortable location. They are located in a place where shopping is easily accessible.. The staff is very efficient and friendly. The room was spacey and comfortable and the breakfast there is really good.
Very easy access and located close to shopping and restaurants. Included free underground parking which was perfect for a very cold night. Breakfast was amazing and included hot and cold selections. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this place.
Being stuck in an elevator with 8 adults is 5 to many when you are one them for almost an hour. It was a 5 second fix. The staff did not offer any assistants may the seniors climb the stairs. Problems with keys not working. Was over all not an enjoyable experience. Thank goodness the rooms were clean the breakfast was average.
Great pool, variety of items for breakfast, friendly staff. New, very quiet rooms. Smart tv in the room, microwave and fridge. Location is close to the city center. Lot's of restaurants around the hotel.
This hotel is great. It's not fancy but it is clean and very friendly. No carpet in the room was such a nice experience. The staff was very friendly. The underground heated parking when it was -36 C outside was Awesome!!! And quiet...wow was it quiet. I have never had a quiet room before. I can't say enough on how clean it was!! Totally recommend this hotel. And being across from a mall was an added bonus.
I have always heard about saving the best fro last, but, this was the first place we stayed on our 60 day trip and we found nothing better along the way. It is close to the highway and restaurants are convenient in the area. Check-in and room were great and the included breakfast was above average. I recommend this place to all who ask and would definitely stay here again, if in the area.
This hotel is great. Easy to find, we stayed there on our way through Saskatchewan. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast is great. Also has heated underground parking. Would definitely stay there again!
Stayed in room 426, which had a King bed, two nice soft chairs with ottomans, fridge, mirco-wave, Kerouac and a large screen TV. The room was quite large and had a soft vinyl floor which to me is a real bonus. The bed was very comfortable and had switches for the lights so you could turn on/off the lighting with out getting out of bed. The bathroom had a shower and two sinks and the towels were fresh and in good shape. All staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. The hot/cold breakfast buffet was also very good. Thumbs up to this place.
Stayed at the Saskatoon 8th Street East location. Needed a pet friendly for our small dogs. Room was clean and warm. Hotel was quiet. breakfast was great. a Great experience for our first time at that particular hotel
Quick overnight stay with our family of 4. From check in to out our stay was great. The front desk clerk at check in was so friendly and efficient. I wish I could remember his name. My boys called him Mr. Friendly! Coffee, infused water, iced tea and cookies on check in is a very nice touch. Loved our room, very comfortable, 2 queens (2 doubles DON'T work) 2 sinks, no carpet which I prefer but a throw rug between the beds so feet didnt hit the cold floor. Pool and waterside area were great and like the rest of the hotel, very clean. Lastly the breakfast waa wonderful. So much variety for our entire family. We will be back!
This is a good basic hotel if you need something in the East end of Saskatoon. Fairly new and very clean. Rooms are quiet even though it is on a busy street. All the usual amenities - even a water slide in the pool area. Makeup mirrors in the bathroom are a nice touch. Decor in rooms is very blah. No carpeting in rooms.
Brand new hotels with good service and clean rooms. Beds were comfortable and the decor very modern. A nice breakfast was included in the price. The rooms are a little on the high side for Saskatoon but not horrible.
We have stayed here a couple of times and in doing so we can safely say that every time we have gone to this hotel it has been clean friendly and well maintained. The breakfast is well done with waffles Eggs Bacon, Potatoes, and all the rest of the stuff that goes with a breakfast, cereals, yogurt, fruit, ect... The rooms are clean neat and the heater works well along with getting the temp to the desired temp in a short time. The staff is friendly and helpful. We went down the waterside and enjoyed the hot tub. We did not get a chance to try the exercise room based on our schedule but it looked rather well maintained. I love the free parking . Everything that could go right did so we were thankful.
The hotel itself is nice, with good breakfast options and a nice pool area. We found the hotel quite noisy. At 2:30 in the morning, my son and I woke up when staff put the receipt under the door. He was scared someone was breaking in. No one got a very good sleep.
Pros: Hot buffet breakfast variety, always refilled when low, metal cutlery & porcelain plates/cups! Underground heated parking very nice & via the elevator, direct entry to one's room floor! 3 kinds of free cookies in the lobby a nice touch! Open floor plan in room with long counter across one side was great! Lighting was more plentiful, accessible, & brighter than many other hotels rooms! 48" TV was nice. Modern color scheme with grey/brown. Heating/cooling unit does not blow curtains around since it was to the side. Non-carpeted flooring easier to clean, thus more hygenic. Countertops in bathroom, 2nd sink area, & large long countertop nice stone-like material & well laid out. 2nd sink. Room card access nice - did not have to swipe, just touch. Electronic choice for do not disturb & housekeeping rather than hanging a card. We appreciated being allowed to have our son join us for the breakfast for $10 per day. Cons: Front parking extremely limited for checking in/out & loading/unloading vehicle! Would like two meat choices each day with the hot buffet breakfast. Heating/cooling unit's vents should be angled higher, since they blow somewhat onto the closest bed! Non-carpeted floor harder, cooler, & noisier than full carpet! Noise concern comes from having inconsiderate family above our room #206 - heavy stomping footsteps & running around sounds were clearly audible day & night. We did complain twice & front desk sent security up to the noisy 3rd floor guests to quiet them down - one was after 11:00 P.M. & one was at 3:30 A.M. - all not acceptable!!! Electronic choice for do not disturb & housekeeping - should be pointed out during check-in otherwise one might not notice it or understand it. Underground parking access from back alley was a tight turn to be close enough for the card access. Underground heated parking only has room for about 1/3 of maximum 100+ hotel guests - there is outside parking! Room charges & the extra breakfast charges included a mandatory Saskatoon Destination Marketing Fee tax, which we did not appreciate! Several French channels on the TV should be replaced with more entertainment channels! Toilet should be ADA height (2+ inches higher for easier on/off seating for older folks) & have elongated bowl/seat. Tub very low sides, narrow, & a little short in inside length - should be a 32" x 60" x 18" High Maax Rubix tub - they're great, we have one at home, it's a wide, long, rectangular tub!!!
This location offers superior quality of facilities, staff and rooms. We enjoyed our stay so much that we stayed another night..it is close to malls, theatres and dining outlets and being on main road offers quick connections to all areas of sasjatoon
Beautiful hotel, quiet rooms, reasonable price, nice pool and slide.... and underground parking. You really cant go wrong with staying here. One of the best locations in town, Across from the mall and Starbucks - right along circle drive for an easy exit!
I recently spent two nights here at the Best Western on 8th Street. The king room was excellent everything about it was very good. Anybody that is stayed at a Best Western also knows that the morning breakfast is very good as well. They also have a decent-sized pool that I did not use.
Beautiful hotel with great service. The best Best Western we've stayed in and as a Diamond Member we've stayed in many! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The location was perfect for our needs.
We stayed here for our honeymoon - as usual, we paid a great rate, had an extremely comfortable stay, and enjoyed the friendly, helpful staff. There's nothing more we could've asked for. For anyone who hasn't stayed here before, there's underground parking for smaller vehicles - super convenient. We also like the location - across from Indigo bookstore, Starbucks, and some other helpful business. It's a great location, and makes it easy to get to anywhere in the city. I also enjoy the option to have the receipt emailed - I like saving paper when possible.
I found the staff, the room were excellent. I would stay at this Best Western again and highly recommend it to others. Rooms very clean, modern. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was tasty.
I was surprised how many times I had driven by this hidden gem without realizing it was there. It's conveniently located to shopping and restaurants. When checking in we we greeting by a large selection of big, delicious looking cookies. It is clean and bright with friendly staff. The breakfast room is quite large with many food choices. My room was quiet, comfortable and clean. I appreciated the Keurig coffee maker. Not fond of the motion detector bathroom lights which I couldn't seem to deactivate. The toiletries were ok but not extra special. There is a pool which I have heard good things about, but never tried. I have recommended this property to several people since I stayed there. I would definitely return.
Stayed here for one night while attending a wedding in the City. Staff are very friendly and try to be as accommodating as possible. Our room was large, with a nice comfortable bed. Place was quite quiet for a Saturday night. They offer you cookies and water in the foyer as you enter the building. Breakfast is good, lots of selections and a very clean setting. Two things to consider, getting into the place is via a very busy 8th street which poses its challenges. The check in time is 4 pm which they stick to unless you ask for an earlier time. We didn't think of it but next time will. Nothing to cry about for us just thought I would let you know just in case. A good stay by our standards.
We feel that Best Western East Side is a good deal for your money. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The room was clean and orderly. The hot tub was a little warm however it was very relaxing . Breakfast was good. We had a very enjoyable stay.
This is a fairly new hotel, built in 2017 I was told. The decor is very modern and fresh. The staff were friendly at both check in and check out. The room had dark woods with gray walls, granite counters and tile floor. All areas were clean. The wifi was great, I was able to video chat with the grandkids. The television was big. There was a keurig in the room. The lights are automated and well as the door locks. Breakfast was plentiful in selections. They use real plates, silverware and glassware. There are several options for waffles: whipped cream, strawberries, chocolate chips. They thought of everything. The dining room was large and even had a fireplace. I slept really well. great Job Best Western!
Excellent stay. Rooms modern and clean. Breakfast excellent - lots of options. Would definitely stay again. Close to highway so it was easy to find and get back on road the next day. Staff helpful. Decently priced also.
On the east side of Saskatoon this hotel is the best. They have high quality service, all employees were helpful and pleasant. This hotel is central to a number of shops and restaurants. All in all I would definitely recommend them
It was nice to stay at a Best Western Plus that meets and exceeds my expectations. This is a three year old hotel and still appears very new (clean and fresh). I recommend this hotel over others I've stayed at in Saskatoon.
This Best Western Plus has so much going for it. Opened in 2015 but it looks almost new. Whoever designed the rooms has pretty much thought of everything, the first being lighting. So many hotels lack any overhead lighting but there are numerous can lights here and it makes a huge difference.Fantastic bed, wonderful sheets and maid promptly brought extra pillows when we asked for them. The standard king room is large with small refrigerator and microwave, good TV. There is an extra sink just outside the bathroom which is a nice touch. Wonderful rain-type shower (no tub, which is fine with me), better towels than many luxury hotels. Breakfast downstairs is quite good with usual options, nice breakfast room with coffee available all the time. Indoor pool which we did not use but looked really nice. There is a fairly large surface parking lot with overflow below-ground parking as well. This was our first visit to Saskatoon, and the downtown area/Shakespeare Festival about 10 minutes by car. Kudos to the BW Plus group for this property. It is a great value, and I plan to look for other "Plus" properties in Canada and the US. Highly recommended!
Clean rooms, great staff, great location and a fantastic breakfast all included. Nice pool area which would be great for families. Ample parking both above ground and enclosed. Love it ... we will be back!!
This was the best hotel of our 4 night trip to Canada. Our room was fabulous, extra sink outside bathroom helped us ready quicker for our early AM departure. Hot Pot and Keurig were such a treat! Ample outlets, bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom was great and marvelous shower. Best water pressure I've experienced in a long time! Breakfast was exceptional!
Nice new hotel with good location outside of city centre. We usually stay near downtown Saskatoon but this worked very well. Good breakfast. Underground parking. Staff were very pleasant. Would stay again.
We where dealing with the death of a friend and couldn't stay in the same room he died. We came in at 12 and it says they have rooms online but the staff were very rude and wouldn't let us stay even though we have booked a room and want to stay for a week.
We loved our stay here and will definitely come again since we have family in this area. The room is big, modern, and had a very comfortable bed. The staff was terrific and the breakfast was better than most hotel breakfasts. We also enjoyed the pool. Don't hesitate to stay here!
Stayed here for numerous nights while on some family business, everything was great and the staff treated us like thier best friends and family. Rooms were clean and very nice. Great Breakfast.Would reccomend to every and anybody.
One of the nicest Best Westerns I have stayed at. All around great service, clean, lots of ammenities and great location by the mall. Love the idea of no carpets in the rooms, and very stylish decor and furniture.
The most important asset of this hotel is its staff. The front desk staff welcomed us with smiles, friendliness, care, compassion and willingness to help at all times. The cleaning staff were very helpful and gave us lots of towels and whatever we needed. The breakfast staff were efficient, pleasant and hardworking to make sure that there was abundant hot feed available for us. I will give the hotel staff an A+ for our experience with them. We stayed at this hotel because we like Best Western Hotels. However, we got the best in location, staff and breakfast. Our son had a major surgery at the Saskatoon Ctiy Hospital and he came directly to the Best Western Plus from the hospital. The staff was most caring and made his stay comfortable by respecting his quiet atmosphere, allowing us to take food upstairs to our room and granting our requests for towels, etc. This hospital has the best staff and this fact matter the most to us.
We stayed here for 2 wonderful days. I had reserved an accessible room and it was just that fully accessible, including the roll in shower and shower chair. This was huge as I could actually have a wonderful shower. The hotel and room are very clean, rooms are large and continental breakfasts are wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Saskatoon.
This hotel is quite new and quiet. The rooms are clean and modern and the bed is comfortable. The breakfast items were very good and there was no shortage of food even though there were a lot of people. Staff was excellent. Highly recommended
We found Jerry at check-in to be very gracious and professional--that is always a good way to start. LISTEN up hotels, motels, and lodges: First impressions matter! We find if the exterior is cared for and if the clerk is good at check-in then we are usually pleased with the entire stay. It just sets the tone. The lobby is attractive as is the breakfast room/area. Our room was spacious by modern standards and it was clean. Towels were rather plush too!
Excellent hotel, super comfy beds, fun pool and hot tub, awesome breakfasts, friendly staff, great location close to shopping, quiet rooms, lemon water, iced tea and cookies available through out the day in lobby. Highly recommend this hotel.
We spent the night for a medical appointment in Saskatoon, this was a clean hotel with friendly staff in a convenient location - close to the doctors office, lots of nearby dining options and across 8th St from The Center Mall. Will definitely book there again!
We spent a couple of days here visiting cousins and relaxing.. It was close to restuarants and museums. The service was freindly and efficient and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Highly recommend this hotel
Away from the hotel zone but close to the mall and university and quick access to the city bypass this is a very nice hotel. Very clean and modern with all the amenities. The free breakfast had lots of menu choices and having real cutlery and plates is an added bonus. Staff were very helpful and went the extra mile to assist. Would definitely recommend.
The hotel is conveniently located for my needs, clean, secure, reasonably priced, with optional underground parking and an adequate complimentary breakfast. The staff are polite and accommodating. There are service stations, grocery stored and restaurants nearby. The hotel offers complimentary WIFI and a business centre & small fitness room and swimming pool which are clean and easy to access.
First, the good: - spacious rooms with high ceilings and good lighting throughout - window opens for fresh air - good beds & towels - microwave & mini fridge - lots of electrical outlets - alarm clock with USB charging - lit do not disturb indicator in hall (also a doorbell) - Starbucks immediately across the street - our 3rd floor room had a beautiful walk-in shower with glass doors - bacon at our 2nd breakfast - interesting b&w photos of historical Saskatoon, instead of hideous hotel art! Less great: - lots of noise leaks through the door from the hallway - cheap toilet paper - on our way home we stayed on the 1st floor and had a tub with a clingy shower curtain - I am not enthusiastic about the ham (gristly) or potatoes that they offer at breakfast
I always enjoy staying at this hotel it is clean and new. This time they had black raspberry syrup for the waffles, yummy! You got to do a little round about to get it but that is minor and I enjoy since I have a small vehicle that I can park underground. This time there was no cookies but it was late when I arrived to but usually there is flavored water and cookies when I arrive and that's nice too.
Very nice place, close to restaurants and entertainment. Walking distance to everything you need. I come here regularly as the staff are the most courteous and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
stayed as a team good breakfast, good pool (chlorine smell burned eyes) kids didnt last long. security guards stays in pool and watches feels awkward. very strict on rules as a team stay. let us use breakfast room to eat and vsiit very accomodating. Did not let us rent out meetings rooms on floor a little disappointing. clean hotel and in the middle of all the rinks and great location near mall and theatre.
Yes, how can one expect more when everything was perfect? We have never been to this BW before and would like to return when next in Stoon. The room was perfect, the front desk man was perfect and the breakfast room was perfect.
Staying at this hotel was a very positive experience. It's a fairly new hotel. My room was spacious and very clean. The front desk staff went above and beyond to help me out with a problem with some gift cards. The only negative was that the breakfast room was very busy and hot food supplies ran out. The hot water for tea wasn't really hot. But I would definitely recommend this hotel.
We spent the weekend at this location. It was easy to find, but a bit tricky to get into if travelling from the wrong direction. The check in was easy, but the person checking us in really made it feel weird as he wanted to know which persons in my family were adults and children. My child is 6 foot so i get the little confusion, but never before have i felt awkward like that at a check in. We had the double bed room. It came with a fridge and microwave which we did not use. The beds were as comfortable as mine is at home, I like a harder bed with a soft padding and it was just that. The bathroom was usual and there was an added sink out side the bathroom which was useful. The only thing, the air conditioner was very loud, so it took some getting used to. The breakfast was everything you could eat, the first morning we has scrambled eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, waffles if you want, oatmeal etc etc. Second morning ham, cheese omelets, hashbrowns etc etc. Very good. The pool was good, even for my teens. The slide is fast and enjoyable, the hot tub was hot but a lot of chlorine so my eyes burned after about 10 minutes.
Stayed here as there is a shortage of top notch hotels on the east end of S' toon. Best Western was a good choice, close to the University and shopping and amenities on East side. Enjoyed our stray here, the fresh new rooms without carpet, no tub but instead a clean walk in shower, good climate controls, perfect bed, pillows and bedding, lots of plug ins for devices and personal affects, excellent breakfast, parking facilities and lots more that we didn't have time to try. Everything was great for a quick stop in town. Will stay here again when we come back.
I am a frequent traveler and visit different places and stay in different hotels and give feedback back. This is one of the finest hotels in the city and is excellent value for the money. Overall very neat and clean place with excellent breakfast options.
The hotel appears to be fairly new. Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was awesome. All the extras you would ever want for your waffles. Hotel is right across the street from the Centre Circle Mall. Great location for catching a bus to the Sasktel Centre.
The rooms were the cleanest I've ever seen in a hotel, the complimentary breakfast was fantastic, the staff was courteous and helpful. Couldn't ask for a better stay at a hotel. Bed was extremely comfortable too!
This location on 8th was right across the street from the Mall and not far from the Preston shopping area and the Stonebridge shopping area. I was primarily shopping at home stores in this area. We were also there for a hockey tournament at the Jemini Canlan Sports arena and it was very simple to just turn onto the #16 which is right at the corner of this hotel and drive straight out to the arena. The breakfast was one of the best we have had! The hotel was quiet even with hockey teams and the rooms were very clean, I love that there is no carpet! There is a 7-11 next door which is very convenient for snacks and the movie theatre is just a block down the street.
The pool and water slide was fun for the kids. The hot tub was nice for the parents (however I think the filtration system may need some improvement)... the complimentary breakfast was great. The refreshments in the lobby were a nice touch and the rooms were fully equipped with everything you need. Will definitely be returning!
Excellent hotel, comfy beds, free wifi, ewonderful breakfasts, nice pool and hot tub, underground parking, coffee and tea in the rooms, cookies in the lobby. Excellent location, easy to get to and from. Definately one of the nicer hotels in Saskatoon.
Travelled with my mom (senior) and daughter (teenage), and stayed for one night (April 7th/18). It was a last minute trip to Saskatoon from Regina. Location was excellent, as our business in Saskatoon was all at the south end of the city (hotel is immediately east on 8th St. when entering the city from Regina). Hotel lobby was great - clean and spacious. Water, coffee, and cookies available at the lobby throughout the day. Rooms were clean, and modern. Beds were comfortable and pillows were fantastic! We did not have a bathtub (apparently you have to request those at time of reservation - but because it was a last minute visit, I didn't think to request one). Doorbells are pretty unique, and I did appreciate the laminate floors throughout the room (much more sanitary and clean). We did not have any issues with noise, as many have noted in their comments. We either lucked out (despite a solid booked hotel that night) or previous comments on this are inaccurate. We were on the third floor. Breakfast was actually one of the best continentals I've had at any hotel chain. Loved they had granola bars (nut free options for those with allergies), fresh fruits, hot/cold cereal, waffle bar, eggs, ham, potatoes, breads, bagels, etc. Toppings for oatmeal/waffles included coconut, berries, chocolate chips, dried bananas. Juices, coffee, milk, and teas. The only genuine issue I had (and I contemplated giving my review a "3 star" because of this) is the parking. We have a Dodge Ram truck, and I assumed I could park in the underground parkade. Upon arrival, I was asked what kind of vehicle we had. It was then suggested that we avoid the parkade as it would be pretty tight for my large vehicle. I was fine with that, and was assured we could park in the back parking lot. When we returned to the hotel at 10pm, the (extremely small) parking lot in the back was FULL. There was not one spot available to park. This parking lot was also very tight. Again, I stress there was NO PARKING available! The front "parking lot" literally had three stalls (all designed for small, compact vehicles), and one of them was handicapped. These stalls were also occupied. I ended up parking next door at JYSK, and worried all night about being ticketed/towed and vandalism. Because of the parking issues alone, I will likely not return to this particular hotel again, unless we arrived in a small compact car, or parking a vehicle was not an issue. For a new hotel, they completely failed with their parking lot designs.
It's a great hotel. I love the location, particularly that a bunch of my favorite stores are nearby - Jysk, Indigo Bookstore, Shoppers Drug Mart, and Best Buy. I stayed at this hotel for an event at the Sasktel Centre, and getting to and from the venue was easy. I love the fact that they have underground parking; I didn't initially realize that, and it's at no extra cost. I love some of the modern features of the hotel, such as the electronic Do Not Disturb setup, though because there were so many high tech features like that, I was disappointed in the internet speed and the lack of USB charging ports. Using Ookla, I clocked the internet at 3mbs, with only 2 smart phones connected to it. I was hoping for 5-10mbs. As well, I only found 1 USB charging port. The lighting in the room was excellent; it's probably the best that I've ever seen in a hotel. It had lots of pot lights with easily reached switches, lots of lams, and 2 reading lamps on the headboard - super convenient. Check in was great and easy, and I liked that I had an option to have my receipt emailed to me at the end of my stay. The bed was very comfortable, and this is the first hotel that I've stayed in where there was a pillow option that didn't hurt my neck; normally hotel pillows are too fluffy. Our room location was great, and even though there were lots of kids in the hotel, the noise didn't seem to travel into our room.
We came for both business and pleasure. The hotel was very modern and clean. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options of hot and cold foods. The pool was a perfect size - not too big and easy to keep a close eye on my two kids (ages 4 & 6). My older child loved the waterslide.
I look forward to staying at this hotel every time I come to Saskatoon. One of the best in hotels in Saskatchewan. The staff actually remember me by name and are very friendly. The underground parking option is very important and I use it every stay.
I booked online and then realized I had made a mistake with the wrong date. when I phoned to change the date , I was not allowed to rebook or cancel and had to pay for the extra night. when I got to the hotel they said they could not change it as well
Excellent property and staff make you feel truly welcome and that you belong. Entry and elevator great and THEN I went into the room. Felt like a very high end resort with tons of room and everything you need for work and relaxing. The pool looked great and unfortunately I didn't have enough time to explore the workout room but it looked high end as well. Breakfast was a refreshing change with some additional hot and cold items you don't normally get with a hotel breakfast. And they have toaster that work well! Parking underground heated a nice bonus too.
Lemon water when you checked in, was a great idea, even a snack. The floor was not rug, just small mat by the bed. This made the room smell and look clean. The breakfast was the greatest, it had everything you needed.Underground parking is grateful for the winter.
Spent one night at this hotel en route to BC. Perfect location right off the highway, new facility, handy to shopping and restaurants. Check in was quick and courteous. I like that you no longer have to insert a card to open the door, just wave it near - much easier. Breakfast was decent, standard fare, perhaps a little skimpy on the fresh fruit. The big bonus - heated indoor parking! We could not understand why so many people opted to park in the lot outside in -20 temperatures when there was lots of room underground. We had no competition for the prime spot by the elevator. Would definitely stay here again.
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Friendly staff, free breakfast available, convenient location. Recommended to be considered for an upcoming trip to Saskatoon.
Overall we were happy with our stay! Great location, parking lot setup a little awkward though. Staff were friendly and room was clean and spacious. The lobby area is small and would be nice if they had a second elevator, but those are just minor inconveniences.
Overall very good nice hotel, helpful staff, delicious breakfast, nice cleaning I'll prefer to stay next time stay in this hotel and also everything close to this hotel for me excellent very nice location
Everyone from front desk to housekeeping just did a great job!! Will recommend this hotel for sure. Will come back here as well !!! Just loved my stay here..... Breakfast was too good!!! THANKS FOR SUCH A LOVELY STAY
This is a new hotel on the east side of Saskatoon with a very convenient location off 8th Street and Circle Drive. It is across the street from a mall with pretty much every store you'd need on your visit to Saskatoon, as well as restaurants, movie theatres, and a Starbucks! The McNally Robinson bookstore is within easy walking distance from the hotel (highly recommended for book worms), as is a liquor store. Saskatoon has needed a hotel on the east side for years and I'm glad to have such a good one as this Best Western. It has a swimming pool with a water slide, as well as a hot tub and a fitness room. Drinks and snacks are readily available at the front to purchase, and ice tea, cookies, and apples are available free of charge. The hotel also provides a very good breakfast served in the morning until 10am, with eggs, sausage/ham, waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, yogurt, and so on, as well as coffee and juice. Everything was new and well taken care of. The rooms were well appointed and a decent size, with tile flooring rather than carpet, and 12 foot ceilings! Given the -30C temperatures during our visit, we appreciated the underground parking which we were provided at no extra charge. The staff were friendly, prompt, and professional. The hotel has some rooms for pets, if you bring your dog or cat with you. Highly recommended. We will definitely stay here again!
This hotel is in a great location, just off the freeway and across the street from shops. Rooms are new, concert floors and beds are comfy. Enjoyed the cookies when you arrived. Lots of places to park.
We have stayed at Best Western several times and will be returning. We enjoyed our stay very much. It is a very clean hotel and the staff are all friendly and professional. We very much enjoy soaking in the hot tub.
*Stayed 3 nights around New Year's Eve. *The front staff and staff you met around the hotel were always so friendly. *The breakfast had a large selection. *We enjoyed our stay. * Great location across from shopping centre.
Friendly staff. Very clean rooms. We really enjoyed the free warm underground parking. We stayed as a couple but would definitely take our kids there. The breakfast had a wide variety and lots of room to get around and a large seating area.
Shout out to Angela...thank you. You made our Christmas Eve so special. Allowed us to used the breakfast area and up to the extent that you prepared plates and cutleries and arranged the tables for us. I'm pretty sure that we will back and recommend your hotel with our friends.
Our greetings from the lady and gentleman on Reception at arrival were wonderful. Very helpful and efficient check-in. We were advised of the free undercover car parking with elevator access and subsequently we always parked there easily. 2 Elevators. A very new hotel and all areas spotless and bright and attractive. The fitouts so comprehensive I suggest it could be used as a template for new hotels. 1 King bed, 2 bedside cupboards, bedhead reading light wands, 2 suitcase racks, 2 lounge chairs and footstools. Good lighting including sensor lighting in the bathroom. An electric jug/kettle and Kourig coffee maker, Mini frig and microwave. There was a vanity sink in the bathroom - thankfully, complete with make-up mirror but also a separate sink outside bathroom in an alcove. This was handy and hygienic for hot beverages etc., I hesitate to say I only missed one thing in the amazing room. A vanity bench underneath. I thought it could have been fitted in when hotel built and they are always good for the clutter travellers inevitably have. Apart from this it had everything and then some. Impressive. We saw the pleasant and efficient Housekeeping staff out and about and were always asked did we need anything. The breakfast room was light and spacious with ample food and good hot and cold options. Our stay was fantastic.
Close to Shopping and restaurants. Can walk to shopping and short drive down 8th Street to numerous restaurants. Friendly helpful staff. Clean rooms with nice decor. Good breakfast. Underground parking a real plus winter or summer.
Beautiful clean friendly hotel. Pool was very nice, breakfast room was large, bright and many options. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable for a family of 4, great location, super easy to get to ring road
Trendy hotel, very new. Decent parking in back, great breakfast. A little challenge on busy 8th street to swing into, but once you offload your stuff, its a nice place to stay at. Our check in was a little slow, must have been short staff,so we waited our turn to get checked in. Rooms very clean and modern. Downfall was the rooms are laminate floor, which i get for ease of cleaning, but you slide around if youre wearing socks! There is a small carpet runner between beds tho. Large breakfast area, as we seen its a good place for birthday party weekends, or team stay over. We had a hockey team stay on our floor and found it to be very quiet. Found the pool area with waterslide great for the kids, not a lot of seating for the adults if youre there to hang out and watch, but thats minor. I can tell you this, the pool area, can be extremely noisy, with a lot of kids in it having fun, which is fine, but the room's design, concrete walls, and no sound barrier ceiling, make it really echo. Bring a good book, and your ipod with ear buds, and that all tones down. Comfy rooms, nice design, and little extra make this a good stay. You are located on one of Saskatoon's most busiest streets, so if you need anything, youre very close, if not in walking distance to anything. Fuel stations, hiway connections with Circle Drive, a medi clinic nearly next door, and not to mention countless eating establishments and a major shopping mall across the street make your stay a bit more bearable.
Housekeeping didn't come back when they were asked to. Not a big deal but had to go begging for coffee pods & cups for the morning. Would have been nice to have the garbage emptied. Beds were a bit soft
Its a very modern hotel. I really like the interior of the room, especially the flooring, its NOT carpeted which you can always spot the dirt. I love the spacious bathroom and a separate sink outside of it. The room has a modern electric kettle too, a microwave and a fridge, all that you kinda need whenever you travel. My son loved the pool, its well maintained. Breakfast is all the same as any other BW hotel that we've been too. Special mention that they granted my request for an Early check-in, i was well satisfied with my stay here in this hotel. Cleanliness, location, pool, breakfast very good.
I've been to many best western plus' while employed at Best Western and this is easily amongst the worst. I will definitely continue to stay at the Blairmore. Much nicer hotel with all amenities working and nicer staff. The staff here has twice accused my party of visitors of silly things in an attempt to charge us extra
some friends and i ended up staying over night, and so we chose to get a room here. it was very easy to check in without a reservation. the staff was very kind and patient and understanding as well as accomodating. the beds were comfy and the rooms were nice. there was a pool with a hot tub that we did not use, though it appeared to be very busy with families enjoying it. it was very close to stores and restaurants which was very convenient. there was also close highway access, which was nice the next morning when it was time to head home. i would definitely recommend this hotel.
Loved this hotel. Everyone was very friendly and location to shopping on 8th street was great. we had a lovely stay. Room was very clean and the bed was so very very comfortable. We will return to this hotel when we are back in Saskatoon. Also enjoyed the underground parking.
This is really a very good NEW place to stay that opened only a couple of years ago. The rooms have laminate floors, no carpets, making it easy to see how clean they are. Beds were very good & so were the pillows. The location provides easy driving access to most things of interest in Saskatoon. We have stayed here a few times now & it has always been good. The only problem we every had was crappy ham for the breakfast but we did not see this offered at our last stay.
Staff were amazing and friendly... Had an enjoyable stay.Parking and access to the hotel is a bit of a problem. The location of the hotel is close to several restaurants and shopping. I like this hotel for business meeting and will most likely book this location for a family event with added directions to best access the hotel and parking.
Hotel was clean, staff are friendly & the continental breakfast had many great options! The pool & hot tub were great too. I wish that the water slide wasn't totally enclosed so that my toddler could've went down with an adult but it was still fun!
There wasn't truck parking but there is a large co-op across the road to park at the room was amazing I really enjoyed it there hot tube pool was very nice also, I would highly recommend staying at this location
Great stay, I travel a lot and will make sure to only stay there when back. Employees were also very friendly. Place was very clean, including underground parking. All in all, a fantastic place to stay.
Excellent location, close to shopping, dining, entertainment. Lots of parking spots including underground parking (very convenient). Security cameras everywhere giving feeling of safety. New and clean building. The room are great large size including big tv, fridge, microwave and very comfortable beds!!! Spotless and very organized hotel. Warm greating at desk from Jerry at check in, very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast were wonderful and tasty, everyone will find something for your self- porridge, hash browns, eggs, bacon, sausages, variations of bread, pancakes (self make) , juices, coffee and fruits . Pool were clean and safe. Highly recommend this place to stay. Will definitely come back to this hotel if need to stay in Saskatoon.
Nice and renovated and pretty accessible from the highway. Enough places to eat close by and shopping available. First time at this location and enjoyed it. Will go back if price is comparable to other location during my next visit.
Located near most amenities. Quiet, clean, comfortable, good breakfast. Across from a mall, restaurants close by. Easy to get to from main roads. There are courtesy computers in the lobby, pool, workout centre.
This property is conveniently located, excellent service, all the amenities. The breakfast is first class and there is ample parking with working plug-ins. Fast internet service. Room temperature is easy to regulate and there are a variety of pillow types on each bed.
Always enjoy my stay at this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff, lots of free parking, rooms are large and nicely furnished and always clean (yay for no carpets) WiFi is free, Excellent full breakfast is included as well. We have not yet had the time or opportunity to check out the pool and hot tub area but it looks great! There are lots of nearby restaurants, some shopping within walking distance and a Starbucks is directly across the street if you enjoy a great Espresso!
Our stay started with a friendly and helpful welcome from the gentleman at the front desk. Everything in the room and throughout the hotel was spotlessly clean. Decor is modern, neutral and attractive. I especially love the historic local black and white photographs used to decorate the room, halls, etc. The beds were comfortable and everything worked properly. In the morning we enjoyed the breakfast with a good variety of hot and cold items. The breakfast room is spacious and well laid out for good traffic flow. Nice windows facing 8th Street. Since the temperatures are below freezing and there is snow on the ground we appreciated the indoor parking, but also good to see outdoor parking available for larger vehicles.
When passing through Saskatchewan on Highway 16, this is our go to hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location and is new and clean. The staff are wonderful and very friendly. The cookies are a nice added welcoming touch along with the drinks. This is one hotel where one is made to feel welcome and they make the check-in personalized. There is parking underground and outside once one has checked in. We book the king room and there are two shelves/night tables attached to the headboard. There are outlets and switches built into this extended headboard. An alarm clock is provided along with a safe. A chair and foot stool are included in the room. A desk/counter area line one wall. There is a place to store the suitcase. A Keurig coffee machine with coffee/tea and supplies. There is a microwave, mini fridge, drawers, and desk chair. The television is conveniently mounted on this wall above the counter. The room has a walk in shower with lots of room and towels. The washroom is well stocked with supplies. There is a swimming pool\\gym, business centre, laundry facilities. The breakfast provides an excellent array of food items to choose from so one would not leave hungry.
I loved the doorbells they were the best coming to Aberdeen for a hockey trip definitely staying in this hotel again because it was the best!! They gave out free cookies at the door but I only took one I would recommend this place any day
Just recently stayed for the weekend. Nice location close to a mall. Tim Hortens almost next door. Clean rooms. The breakfast provided was very nice. They bake cookies in afternoon, nice touch. I would certainly stay again.
Checked in at 10 PM Nov. 2/17 front desk lady great, rooms were amazing and a great sleep. What more can you ask for. However because I end up in a lot of smaller towns there isn't always a Best Western there, and if there was I'd stay there. Thank you B.W. Gordon B. Penner
Room was on the backside so nice and quiet for such a busy street. Room was not overly spacious but adequate. I liked the lamenate flooring but could hear people at 5am walking on the floors. Lovely bathroom and shower. Pool and watrslide were very good but couldnt have food and drinks which was disappointing. Great breakfast with lots of variety. I would definetely recomend this hotel.
Best Western Saskatoon was centrally located next to the center shopping mall, and the airport. It is clean and provides a good breakfast. The only strange issue is the lighting which is bright and shines from the ceiling. This is a very minor issue. The hotel is modern and the staff very efficient
I stay at a lot of hotels for my work and this hotel and its beds are the closest to the home feeling while sleeping. Beds are sooo comfy!! Be cautious and leave extra time in the morning if you have a meeting..very hard to get out of such a comfy bed!!LOL!!
I go on a business trip every 2-3 months. By far this one was the best I experienced among ten other hotels in different Canadian cities. High ceiling and modern design keep you zestful. The best thing? Cleanness Any complaint? Let's say the air was dry :))
This hotel has offers lots of amenities to make sure you have a great stay. Our first night there wasn't great due to the noise from the occupants above us, we were moved the following morning. The hotel staff did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable.
This hotel was located right off the highway at a good location close to restaurants and other shops. It was exceptionally clean and quiet. They actually had full size bath towels. The ultimate was the in ground parking. It was snowing when we arrived and to be able to park inside and then the next morning our car was dry and warm when we went to our appointment. The only negative was the breakfast. Prior experience and comments from friends had me expecting a very good breakfast. But it was very disappointing. Hot food that was cold, bakery items that did not taste fresh and some items not well stocked especially during the busy time, the room was full of people. I do hope they improve this aspect of the hotel then it will be my number one stop in Saskatoon.
The hotel is new and has great amenities including being located next to a shopping center and only a few minutes from downtown business center. Free parking along with a very good continental breakfast added to the other benefits of staying at this hotel.
Very clean, comfortable and quiet hotel room. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. Parking was great. Close to shopping mall and restaurants. I stay in a lot of hotel rooms and this one was in the top 5 for comfort.
Comfortable, clean, close to shopping and medical needs. Underground parking and internet. Needs an all day restaurant. The pool and slide are a plus if you have children. The area needed another hotel with reasonable pricing.
Wonderful experience! A few times heard an unhappy child in a room next door and heard a phone ringing that wasn't in our room but other than that it was fantastic. The room is very nice, beds comfortable and breakfast very good.
great stay while my wife had surgery at hospital. staff were very caring and helpful. would stay at this hotel again.would definitely refer others to this hotel.very accomadating when I needed more nites
Stay one day get billed for two and get told "that's how it is".... Place is clean, breakfast was overcooked, eggs were precooked and drier than the bottom of my shoe. Eliptical trainer battery died while I was on it and the clerk asked me how I broke it.....I explained that the display was battery operated and in broken English she told me I would have to pay for the damage......I refused becasue I didnt damage anything, the battery died. I replaced the battery and showed her, she still tried to tell me I broke it....
A nice, clean hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. For breakfast Kitchen area was clean and had the standard fare. The lemon mint water and cookies in evening are always welcome. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint would be the noise from 8th street. I don't know how better soundproofing measures could be addressed but overall I would return to this hotel again.
Would stay here again if the price was valued to the new construction . The breakfast was short on juice. The hot food was great. Lobby was short of service like water, fruit or snacks for me at a late night long day check in.
Truly one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Good bang for the buck, heated indoor parking, close to many restaurants, spotless rooms. Desk staff were polite and even friendly. It"s Canada EH. To be expected. Should I ever return or find myself running back to Saskatoon it would be disappointing if they were booked and had to go elsewhere.
I just hate moving from room to room I had to extend my stay and they needed the room for someone else so they had me do all the work to get my stuff to another room. that was not near as nice as the one I was in and still charged me the same. I did not like that!
This place is great. The rooms are clean, newly done. Impressed with the new electronic Do Not Disturb buttons. Breakfast was with real plates and silverware. Only place in our travels that we saw this. Great!! Breakfast area is really nicely done. The nicest hotel in our 8 days of travel.
The hotel is definitely on the newer side, and the lack of carpet in the rooms keeps them looking new and clean. The hotel has a modern feel to it. The breakfast had a lot of selection and ample seating in the area. Parking wasn't even a problem on a Saturday night. The only downside to this hotel that we found is the noise from the hallway comes right into the room, and the pillows were far too soft. A much firmer selection would have been nice. We for sure would stay here again, do to the value, cleanliness, and great location.
We really had a great time to relax. It is new, modern and clean. The breakfast are good. But one thing is that we can hear the noise in the other room especially when they bang the door. But we will still come back.
This is a newer hotel with easy access to shopping and freeway. The hotel was clean and provided secure underground parking. Breakfast was very good each day. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Easy check in even though the hotel was full that night. Easy walking to food and shopping right across the street. Would definitely stay here again. One of the better experiences for us.
This is a new hotel some staff need extra training but all was fairly goof. If you need a freezer there isn't one in their fridges but at checkout I learned the have a place they can keep things frozen for you. If you stay there for a medical reason just ask the medical dr for a note stating you had an appointment , surgery etc. They will ask you for it and they keep it or photo copy it for their files. If you have an issue talk to management at checkout of before she is very good at sorting things out.
Stayed here for 4 nights. Room was a bit tired but clean. Beds a bit hard. We were here for 4 days but the room was only cleaned once. We had to go get our own towels after that. The continental breakfast is fine but nothing fancy. Good coffee. Staff was pleasant.
Neat hotel, pleasant staff.Excellent breakfast. I didn't have time to use the swimming pool. The Room was very neat. I like the idea of the coffee maker in the room. The bed was comfortable.I had a great experience.
Hey! You can park underground here. When I asked how to get there I was told just around the back. You get in and no signage telling you if spots are reserved or where the elevator might be - just a lot of brown doors to open or try to open one at a time until you find the elevator. Here's an idea. GET A MAP and hand that out to your guests so they know where the one elevator is in the place. Secondly - and this is a deal killer to me - the wireless would not let me even get a login screen without refusing the connection. Nothing wrong they say but no experience or clue from the front desk. The other 50 or so WiFi connections I have made with my phone previously means that my phone works and I know how to connect. So the problem is at their end but like I said the have no clue. Lastly... the tile floors are super noisy or I have the big foot family above me. Why tile the entire rooms floors? Just odd in a wooden stick built bulding. Nice place if no neighbour's upstairs or you don't park underground or use WiFi
I generally stay here as their service and professionalism is great. I like the comfortable rooms and enjoyed the breakfast. They have ample parking and a good location. The beds are great for a good nights sleep.
I like to stay here because of the location to stores and freeway. The hotel is always clean the staff very attentive to any concerns. The breakfast is the usual fare, not much for vegans and dietary offerings for those with special needs. Overall it is a good hotel, a bit over priced, but better than most in the 150 range.
Stay here on a Saturday night. Easy checking but the key didn't work when we got to room however we were instantly put in a better room for the inconvenience. Great breakfast and easy access to other parts of Saskatoon from here by car.
We have stayed in many hotels in US and Canada but we were very impressed with newly renovated Best Western hotel in the heart in Saskatoon. We will stay in this hotel the next time we are in the city. Plenty of immunities surrounding this facility. We had a great time!
Service was exceptional, hotel very new yet was told they have been open since 2015. All types of restaurants from vegan to burger joints within walking distance. Shopping all around, something for everyone. Staff were very knowledgeable in directing us how to arrive at Fuddruckers, a restaurant that we had heard of and wanted to visit. You could not fault their breakfast...anything your heart desired.
This hotel was very new, clean and great service. The front desk was very friendly and quick. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have had with hot items, and a great variety. Would highly recommend staying there for business or with a family.
Staff were friendly and professional rooms were clean and modern pool water was about as warm as the hot tub but that ws the only complaint. Great hotel over all just wish it was a tad cheaper but u pay for what u get and hotels are no exception.
Great location. Friendly helpful staff. Clean pool and hot tub. Soft bed, linens and pillows. Best breakfast I've had at breakfast bar included. Both underground and above parking. Across from mall and many restaurants close by Safe area Enjoy!
Booked here for location to family we were visiting and were extremely pleased. Nice, spacious, clean rooms with comfortable beds and great showers. Includes breakfast which was impressive with ham, omelettes, toast, waffles etc. In the reception area they have fresh fruit and cookies for your enjoyment. Fantastic!!! We did not use the pool but it looked great.
Being very new, this hotel provided convenience to close by restaurants, shopping & Circle drive. The front receptionists were both friendly & professional. The room was comfortable as was the bed and pillows. All amenities were in excellent working order. The breakfast area was clean with friendly staff & had many selections to chose from. The traffic noise is the biggest downfall if placed on the side of the building across from the shopping area. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Upon check in the staff where smiling and kind and extremely helpful. They didn't treat my check-in as routine, but like I was a valued guest. The room was immaculate and very modern. There was no bathtub, but a shower with sliding door. It was fine for us but some might prefer a tub. Breakfast was good and the breakfast room is a good size. Other Best westerns have a small cramped breakfast room, but this one is large with nice large windows. It would be nice to see a variety of fruits or vegetables at breakfast. Maybe a fruit cup. This location had a wall of things for purchase displayed next to the front desk. Snacks, and small items which can be charged to your room. Very handy. Check out was easy and the checkout staff was kind, and smiling and seemed genuinely interested in helping me. This was my best Best Western stay.
This is a new hotel and it has everything you need. Hardwood floor and a walk in shower made it look very modern. Still had that new smell. Staff was friendly and accommodating at the front desk, room clean. Hotel very quiet. Was an easy 15 minute drive to Sasktel Centre.
This hotel is just two years old and very clean and modern. Our room was immaculate, very modern and had a safe for your valuables. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet at night. The breakfast area is nice and big compared to other Best Western Plus Hotels. If we are in Saskatoon again, we will most likely return to this hotel.
this hotel has a good breakfast area and good food. best item were the cookies in the lobby. quiet and easy access to the hotel. would stay there again. Room has a unique feature, a doorbell outside each room. You set the button and a red circle light comes on outside the room where the doorbell is. Cute. Don't have to deal with card signs. Good internet access and chargers. Great shower too.
I stayed here with my parents for a week. All was good until I forgot my wallet in the room for a few hours. When I came back all $300 dollars were removed. So don't stay here unless you will be vigilant about keeping your valuables in the safe.
We are staying in Saskatoon for 1 week, helping our son move. We left the room for 2 hours, my son forgot his wallet; during those 2 hours someone enter the room to clean and took all his cash. We reported it to the hotel and the hotel Manager refuses to acknowledge that it is theft, she is calling a lost item. Her response is that they are not responsible because they have a safe. The hotel is clean and has good service, but I guess the cleaning staff is not honest. Watch out!!!
This hotel has very friendly staff. The rooms are very clean, modern and comfortable. Underground parking is available at no cost. Many amenities available well within walking distance of the hotel including a Tim Hortons and McDonalds. The hotel does offer a decent breakfast at no additional cost which is very good.
Visited in August 2017 with family of 5. New hotel (<2 years old), well designed. Standard rooms clean and spacious, all amenities were functioning well. Near shopping mall, theatres and major express route. Staff at reception, housekeeping and breakfast area were patient and helpful. Pool is big enough to swim in or to have a couple of families in it without feeling crowded, with water slide and hot tub. Exercise room features all new equipment in good working condition (hardly was being used because of the pool).
Not sure what else can be said about this... I found blood stain on the sheet, took pictures and call the reception to let them know how disgusting I was and the front desk staff got mad at me for being upset at the situation and after almost an hour she sent a security guard with sheets!? I'll never stay in a Best Western ever again. The fact that their cleaning staff only made the bed instead of changing the sheet is outrageous, is this a standard policy to save time and money? how many other room are like this, how many other unsuspected guess have slept in dirty sheet without knowing. I would've slept in dirty sheet if I didn't see the blood stain on the sheets. But on top of that your night front desk employee was useless to say the least...just unacceptable! I wasn't expecting this from a Best western PLUS that received a diamond award for 2017?? Yes I didn't pay for the room but I still ended up sleeping with all my clothes on, on top of the sheet because I didn't thrust anything after what I saw. I'm just thankful my family wasn't with me. They offered me the equivalent of a $50 gift card they can keep it and use that money the changed their sheets...
Would recommend this place. Room was nice, staff were great! Nice look of the front desk. Liked that there was infused water to drink at front desk while waiting to check in. Enjoyed the hot breakfast.
I stayed at the Best Western Plus East Side Hotel for 4 nights on a business trip. This newly built (2015) hotel was affordable (CAD 145/night) for its condition and compared to older Best Western hotels. The rooms here are large, clean and very modern. I was on the 4th floor (highest) and away from the elevators, therefore my stay was very quiet. The hotel is located in College Park neighborhood which is southeast of downtown Saskatoon. There is no on-site restaurant; however there are several restaurants and grocery stores walking distance from the hotel. The lobby and breakfast area at the front is large and welcoming (lemon water and cookies upon arrival). Several computers and a printer are available for guests to use, as well as a laundry room. There is a small-sized fitness room, indoor pool and hot tub located on the 1st floor. Complimentary breakfast is offered from 6 -10 a.m and includes cold and hot items such as yogurt, cereal, muffins/pastries, toast/bagels, oatmeal, waffles, eggs, bacon and sausage. My room was large, clean and equipped with black out shades. The room decor was very modern. Room amenities: - Alarm clock - Mini fridge - Microwave - Coffeemaker - Keurig style - Working desk - Free Wi-Fi - strong signal - Flat screen TV - Hairdryer - Ironing board Room ventilation included a wall-controlled AC which regulated the temperature efficiently. Conclusion: I really enjoyed my short stay at the Best Western Plus East Side Hotel – mainly because of the hotel's newer condition, location and complimentary breakfast. The Good: - Large, clean, modern rooms - Convenient location - Complimentary breakfast To Improve: - Fitness room to include free weights
hotel was new and presentable, upon check in we always pull back the sheets and mattress to check for bed bugs and cleanliness, found a half used lotion bottle and a bunch of black hair between bed and headboard. Told both the front desk and the housekeeping Manager, neither seemed to care. Other than that the hotel was your typical Best Western
This hotel was one of the best I've stayed in for a while. It was clean and the furnishings were modern. the bed was extremely comfortable and I don't often like hotel beds. It almost felt like home. The staff from the front desk to cleaning personnel were always friendly and helpful.
Brand new, extremely clean, great staff. Accommodated us with a room close to the elevator for my disabled mother, so greatly appreciated that. Easy and convenient parking. Complimentary breakfast with very good selections.
This hotel is still relatively new (less than 2 years old). My daughter raved that it was the best Best Western she's ever seen (and if you browse my reviews, you'll see she's stayed in a lot of them). The views aren't great (7-11), but you are close to lots of shopping, restaurants, and Circle Drive. I wasn't sure about the non-carpeted floors. I worried about noise transfer from above, but we didn't hear any of that. The street out front was the biggest source of noise all night. The cool kids in Saskatoon obviously like those noisy muffler things. The pool was nice, and the LED lights changing colour were fun at night. The staff was friendly. We loved that the breakfast extended until 10 AM on a weekday so we didn't have to rush to get out of bed while we were on holidays.
Clean and comfortable. Mostly friendly helpful staff. Good breakfasts, hot and fresh, well stocked even towards the closing time. Always nice to stay in a new place, linens were very nice, beds are comfortable.
We stayed here for 3 nights while in Saskatoon for a multiple family anniversary weekend. We wanted to be close to our son's and granddaughter's homes so chose this hotel. It was a pleasant surprise all around for us. The staff was extremely pleasant and most helpful in all respects. The room was pleasantly appointed and very clean, even down to a sterilized remote control for the TV. The floors were laminate and were washed daily so your slippers and sock feet remained clean. The beds were excellent ( I have a bad back) and I woke up with no pain. The morning breakfast provided a wide selection of foods from hot to cold fare and there was no shortage of any item. Floors, tables and counters were kept clean even though there were multiple guests at any one time. We will certainly stay here again when visiting Saskatoon.
This is my second time stayed at this hotel and the service always good and especially the room is always clean. Thanks to the staff who check me in for giving information to get to the festival. overall stayed was good
Very clean hotel with staff who went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent! The bed was the best I've slept on in a hotel. Close to all amenities and was well suited for us to bring our dog. A very good experience.
Awesome hotel! The front desk guy was super friendly and very accommodating to our needs with our two dogs. Our rooms were very fresh and the beds were meant for sweet dreams. They offered a hot breakfast that is second to none. We had to pay a bit more cause we booked it online so I recommend calling the hotel directly especially if your bringing pets. We will definitely use this hotel when in the area.
GREAT PLACE.FRIENDLY STAFF, GREAT ROOMS,AWESOME HOT BREAKFAST! With the pool and waterslide it would be a great places for a family with kids.It is on 8th street where there is great shopping and it's only a block off the circle drive. It is also a great location if you have medical appointments the RUH HOSPITAL!
Things were neat and clean. All staff were happy to help with any questions or needs. Checking in with our pre reservations was very easy as was checking out. There were no problems with any part of our stay.
We stayed at this hotel numerous times since it opened and it is great! We utilized the breakfast, the pool, the fitness centre and the computers. All of the staff is very friendly at the breakfast it's unbelievable. The location is so close to everything and right across from the mall (you can walk to).
I would stay hear again. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel and rooms where very clean. There are restaurants in walking distance and a shopping center close by. The hotel is located close to the main HWY for easy access.
Great location! If your looking for a hotel that's close to everything this on has it all... Service was great, room was very nice.. Very good complimentary breakfast included in the price. I really do not have anything negative to say about this hotel.
Stay was excellent up until check out when we were rushed out of our room by 2 phone calls from front desk. The hotel was not full and we were only 15 mins past check out. Front desk lady was very rude.
They phoned us on the day we were supposed to arrive to tell use that they didn't have an available room for us because we were bringing our dog with us. Although the hotel advertises itself as being pet friendly, the fine print says that only certain rooms are actually pet friendly (and apparently they don't save those for people with reservations). No apology and no offer to help find alternate accommodations. They didn't even seem to understand why we might be upset that they didn't have a room for us...
Was overall very good. Will stay again. Great location and clean which I appreciate. Breakfast items could have been a little fresher but nothing worth complaining about. Bed wasn't the most comfortable though it wasn't bad. Great hotel for a short business trip.
It was very updated hotel all together, not just the outside but inside as well. Clean and sterile like you would expect to see in a medical facility and yet very comfortable almost like staying at your own home.
Very clean and comfortable room and facilities. Staff was very courteous and helpful. The breakfast that was included was one of the best I have ever experienced. The express check out was very convenient.
The staff were very friendly. The rooms were modern and well designed. The beds were comfortable. With it being a new hotel everything was nice and fresh and the floor was lino tiles, which was great as you knew what you were standing on. The breakfast was far superior to any "included" breakfast I have ever had before, all in all an excellent place.
Brand new hotel - nice modern rooms and decent sized pool for the kids to swim in. Underground parking was nice - the outside parking is tight to fit larger vehicles. Not many hotels located on east side of the city especially on 8th street - good choice if doing things nearby. Large mall across the street.
Have never had a bad experience in 15 years of staying at best western hotels. This was no exception and our family that stayed here were all as pleased as we were. They even lowered the price when we arrived.
The rooms are quite nice - laminate floor instead of carpet - You never know what's living in carpet I say :) The breakfast room is nice with lots of light. Breakfast is pretty standard but the coffee is really good. In room Kureg is a nice thing.
The staff were very friendly and helpful! The whole hotel seemed very clean. Our room was very clean and had nice decor! They had a large variety for breakfasts for regular people. The pool was not overly cold and the hot tub was nice. My only complaints were that there were not many gluten free breakfast choices, and that they need sound dampening materials in the pool area. The one night the pool was packed with kids, and it was extremely loud in the pool area. We would definitely stay here again!
The Best Western East is conveniently located near circle drive on 8th Street East. Close to many restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues. The hotel is very new and modern with full 6 foot showers in each room. The provided continental breakfast was great with an incredible selection of fresh warm food. Plenty of seating area for everyone so it never became congested. There is provided underground parking which keeps your vehicle out of the elements and secure. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay in this hotel again which was priced very reasonably.
Finally, Saskatoon has an East Side hotel! Great location close to freeway access and shopping. Service from staff is very good. The hotel itself is clean, modern and new with good amenities. The main problem was with a couple of little things in the construction/design areas that made for a less than perfect stay: 1. Noise. The floors have no carpets and the flooring appears to be laminate tiles. There was a late check-in above me that woke me from sleep at 1:30 am till I finally complained at 2:00. I could hear every thudding footstep back and forth, doors & drawers slamming shut etc. The complaint was handled immediately though. 2. Motion detector light in the bathroom – not great if you have to use it in the night. Although you can the turn the light off, the damage has been done. 3. Extremely noisy, spartan, cafeteria-style breakfast room that is chaos around the centre island. One busser working extremely hard to clear trays of used dishes. Kids running down the narrow aisles avoiding seniors' mobility devices. ONE choice of eggs: cheese omelettes – not a hard-boiled to be seen. ONE choice of meat for each day: sausage or sliced processed ham. Overall my experience was of higher than average value in some areas, less than average in others. A rug or two in the guest room, self-controlled bathroom lighting (perhaps with a dimmer), and sound-absorbing curtains or baffles in the breakfast room would help considerably.
Think back to days of yore, car trips with the family. You know that BW smell and the funky carpet, questionable bedspread, and sporadic AC? That's not here. This place is gorgeous! I loved . . . -- The tiled floors (vs carpet), even though it might be a bit noisier for downstairs neighbors -- The glass enclosure of the walk-in shower -- The "doorbell" that is actually a doorbell, but also the do-no-disturb and housekeeping-please indicator -- The second sink outside the bathroom -- Loads of overhead lighting and nice bedside lights, too -- Lovely bedding and towels -- Cookies in the lobby -- TWO washers and dryers - clean and high-quality! -- Helpful staff, front counter to the dining area and housekeeping -- Ice machines on each floor -- The slide tube in the pool (although we just watched, didn't use) Not as crazy about . . . -- Upstairs neighbors' footfalls (couldn't they have built this NEW hotel with concrete floors??) -- The motion sensor light in the bathroom; I get the purpose, but who wants bright light in the middle of the night? -- The motion sensor on the thermostat; again, I get the purpose, but it got really hot during the night. Either provide standard bedding that isn't a fluffy duvet, say a cotton blanket, or let the AC stay on all night! -- Why is the microwave on the bottom shelf of the dresser / TV stand? Why not up a shelf so you don't have to get on hands and knees to use it? Go back to the I-loved list. Those are the great things about this place.
We were told this place opened in late 2015, and it still seems brand new. We got a room with a walk-in shower, which was much nicer than the standard shower. Front desk was helpful, as expected. We did not try out the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. If we come to Saskatoon again, this is the place we'll stay.
First time staying at this hotel and it did not disappoint. Very modern feel to the hotel which was quite nice. Terrific hot breakfast and convenient location for our needs. We did not use the pool area but it looked clean as was the rest of the hotel. Will stay here again!
Modern rooms, nice to see that were no carpets, beds were very comfortable, that is a reason that I would stay there again. The breakfast had lots of variety to choose from, by far one of the best yet
I was greeted with very kind staff, the hotel was clean and had really neat pictures of Saskatoon from the archives. The rooms are modern, clean with the most comfy beds. The area is quiet and safe. We had a very nice stay at this location.
We really enjoyed the hotel, the rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. It was easy to find and I would stay there again. We thought the infused water drinking tower in the lobby was a very nice touch.
Stayed two nights. This new hotel was very clean and had a good breakfast. The rooms are not carpeted but have vinyl plank flooring which is a nice change. Didn't use the pool or the underground parking but both are nice features.
This was a great time kids had lots of things to do and we much enjoyed it and it was so easy to find perfect loacation I'm going for a 5 thumbs up ***** very happy with the over all experience keep up the good work
The BW+ES is a new hotel in an excellent location in Saskatoon. The hotel service and staff were excellent from arrival to departure. The hot breakfast service was a bonus as many times only a continental breakfast is provided at most hotels without a formal dining room. Staff overall were friendly and accommodating. Parking available underground or outside. I would stay here any time while in Saskatoon.
The hotel has friendly, competent staff. The rooms were fresh and clean with comfortable beds and top notch amenities. Breakfast selection was excellent. Will definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
staff went above and beyond in their helpfulness!! again we thank you.......Beds where like sleeping on a cloud, lots and lots of hot water for an extra long shower, plus a breakfast just like mom used to make, and the coffee mumm mummm good....
Best Western's moving up! The rooms are almost as nice as any luxury hotels I've stayed in. Definitely cleaner than most of them! I've booked my next vacay with Best Western Plus! I'm hooked! Highly recommend.
New hotel with very nice decor, friendly helpful staff. I stayed buy myself and felt safe. Breakfast was a basic hot continental breakfast, it did the trick. free parking! I will be staying here again.
Modern, very clean and comfy. Best Western Plus met all my needs and more. It is located in a great area of town that has a large variety of shopping, eating and entertainment options that are all at walkable distances from the hotel.
We arrived at check in time, 3pm and because we were in town for an awards gala (my daughter was nominated for an education award)and we were in a hurry to get ready and off to the event. I'm not sure why, but we were placed in the room right beside check in desk (110). I had dropped my keys on the floor and when I went to collect them I noticed large food crumbs all along the bottoms of the bed. With us just arriving and not having had anything to eat yet, i knew it was because the room hadn't been cleaned very well. At that point I should've said something but we were in a hurry to get to the gala at TCU to register my child for 4:30. We didn't arrive back to hotel until almost midnight. Exhausted, we went straight to bed. I noticed in my bed, the sheets and pillows smelled like someone had been in them before me... like someone else's oily hair. I was disgusted but at this point, too exhausted to bring the matter up with staff. I slept on top of the blankets and the pillows remained on the floor. The walls seemed paper thin and I heard everything that was going on in the lobby. Any one walking past I heard their conversation. And when people started making their way to have breakfast or possibly checking out at 6am, it woke me up. Needless to say, I had a horrible sleep. When the kids awoke, being the curious creatures they are, searching around the hotel room found the ice bucket (which we hadn't used) was half full of water. I didn't complain about any of it, because i knew it was likely too late. I was exhausted and had a drive back to Regina I needed to conserve my energy for. Overall I was very displeased with the cleanliness of the room. For the price paid, I expected alot more comfort. The hotel staff were professional and friendly and it was an added bonus of convenience to have breakfast included, but not enough for me to stay here again.
Your BW was new, clean and well managed. The wake-up call was on time, breakfast was delicious and all of the staff were friendly. We really enjoyed our stay in Saskatoon attending my 50th Golden Grad Convocation celebration and reception at the University of Saskatchewan. Our private 1967 Engineering grad dinner was held at the Granary which was within walking distance of your BW which was in part why we choose your hotel.
Great hotel to stay at while in Saskatoon; extremely close to Circle Drive, so you can get around everywhere you need to go quickly. It's also right across the street from a great Mall. Nice, modern rooms with doorbells.
Thank you so much to the Best Western Plus East Side. We travelled with family and grandchildren. The hotel was absolutely wonderful and the kids enjoyed the pool and slide. Continental breakfast was very nice. We would recommend this hotel and wonderful staff to everyone.
Very accommodating as I needed an ideal place to stay with my 2 small dogs while a visit to the vet was needed. Staff was very pleasant and always happy. Rooms very clean, modern and comfortable. Great night sleep!
The hotel is very modern and clean. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, with very nice high ceilings and a nice cozy feel in terms of decor. We stayed using air miles and check in was seamless. Staff were helpful and friendly. Parking can be a bit of a challenge if it's busy, but they do have an underground option for cars/SUVs which was great on the rainy night we stayed. The pool area appeared nice but was very busy as their were a ton of families with kids around. The hotel does not have an "adults only" period for the pool or hot tub. Breakfast was delicious and a full spread of food. There was lots of seating available and the room is very spacious. Bed was very comfortable and had all the best amenities. Overall very impressed. The one less star was with the parking as they could probably use a little more space for that.
Wont be staying here again. They advertise underground parking but the space wasn't developed wide enough to accommodate vehicles like trucks. The "High Speed" Internet that was advertised is quite slow. I am not sure if this was because their was a large group of people staying at the hotel or not. Poorly insulated walls led to my family hearing the occupants above and below us. The first night we arrived after an 8 hour drive.. we actually received a complaint about us because my 1 year old was making too much noise. They sent up a security guard to our room who demanded that we keep our child quiet. It was a humiliating experience to say the least. A phone call to the room would have been sufficient enough. All in all I will be staying elsewhere next time with my family.
This hotel was great! Very new and I was impressed with the no carpet flooring it made it feel so clean:) We would stay here again for sure ! Good location! Beds were so comfortable and the free breakfast was great. Patti D.
Great place to stay, staff is very helpful, bed/pillows are comfortable, and the air conditioning actually works - all good things. The fitness center can use free weights, but the equipment in there is in good condition.
Nice room, great food, poor presentation of breakfast, terrible front end staff. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with a smile and then we found the person at the front desk could not be understood as her English is not good.
New modern facility with all amenities; pool, hot tub, exercise room, hi speed internet, underground parking. Hotel is close to abundant shopping across the street and within short driving distance. Facility is very clean and inviting. Has elevators at the rear off of the parking if you choose to park outside and want easy access. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good hot breakfast in the morning.
We stayed at the Hotel on 8th street in Saskatoon from Thursday May 4th to Monday morning May 8th. All the staff we encountered from the counter staff, the cleaning staff, the food prep staff as well as the security and maintenance staff were extraordinary. They allowed us to have a fantastic time with our large family in the breakfast room for lunches and dinners. We really appreciated everything the staff did to accommodate our stay. A+ staff, amenities as well as overall hotel. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Saskatoon.
We stayed at the hotel while in town for a family wedding. Friendly staff and very clean comfortable rooms. The hotel has a very large and spacious breakfast area with a very nice full breakfast. We recommend it to everyone we know. We would definitely stay there again.
We travel to Saskatoon to see our daughter who attends University there and we always stay at the Best Western East Side because of it's location. The hotel is clean, includes breakfast, close to university.
Very Clean and friendly neast location tucked away from he hustle and bustle but close enough to get anywhere you need. Breakfast was very good Loved the Coffee took 1 for the road it was sooooo good!!
My wife and I stayed here for a family event. Rooms were nicely sized and very clean. Breakfast was great. Location was perfect for what we were there for. Went to the business centre to print out some legal papers and our boarding passes. The printer was out of ink and there were no extra cartridges. We had to send our print jobs to the front desk who then scanned them for us. Seemed quite cumbersome but appreciated the clerk's efforts.
All areas of the hotel were.. even offered underground parking..in snowed and was quite cold while there.. great overall experience. Rooms were comfortable and clean.. shower was heaven.. staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Very welcoming staff and super clean. Good location for shopping and restaurants. Great breakfast and very clean. Nice pool and great rooms.! Would recommend if you are going for a shopping trip or just enjoying Saskatoon activities.
Good hotel, little pricey for product provided but there is underground parking which is always appreciated. I stay here most every trip to Saskatoon. It is also located near the U of S with easy access to the campus.
The staff was very friendly and the hotel was modern and clean. The breakfast is good and there was lots of room to sit. The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The only down side was our internet password did not work.
This is a new hotel and things are in great shape. The best part of this hotel is the lighting. No dull light and lamps. Bright lights embedded in the ceiling. This was impressive. I am tired of dark rooms and the best western has solved this. Hotel is clean and should be because it is new. I noticed they have security and the hotel was quiet. Close to great food on 8th street and a movie theatre just a block away. Close to main highway and downtown in 15 minutes.
A great hotel. Pleasantly surprised with the room, business centre. A very nice breakfast with more than the usual options. I would stay there again. Location was convenient to early departure through town.
Arrived shortly after 3 pm and although check in was 4, my room was ready. Enjoyed the breakfast and was happy to see it was much like what I've come to expect from hotels in the U.S. Pool was too cold
I would like a detail receipt of my stay. the front staff would not give me one as they say it was sent to my email. as of this date I have not received one. I am tempted to call my credit card company and stop payment on the charges. receipts should be given at time of check out.
We booked three nights in saskatoon and enjoyed some shopping and a lot of walking. Our small dogs were welcomed by the hotel however we did have to pay $21 per night. Not sure why cause humans can be dirtier than dogs!
This is one very clean and beautiful hotel...Maybe because its 'new' but i did enjoy my stay and i will definitely stay here again. For what i paid, the room was very large. i like the concept. The floor is not carpet (which i personally like). Staff was very friendly. Got a cab ready for each time i needed to be out somewhere. The location is awesome too. There is a Starbucks across the road. Compared to the other hotels I've stayed in Saskatoon, this one takes the lead at the moment.
Excellent location, across from shopping mall and close to many good restaurants in close driving distance, 20 minutes from airport. Very friendly staff, right from front desk to housekeeping and breakfast area. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!! Most comfortable beds and pillows, housekeeping staff right on your every need! Excellent choices for breakfast! It was a nice getaway as well as a visit with family and friends. Fresh baked cookies in lobby in the afternoon, nice touch, and wonderful cucumber/lemon/lime water on ice, yummy.... and healthy! The only complaint we had was the pool area deck was very slippery, more so than any other hotel we have ever stayed at. 2 of our family members slid and fell when climbing out of the pool via the stairs. My sister in law was injured. The staff was alerted and even though they do their best to try and keep it dry its still gets wet every time one steps out of the pool. She was offered a $50 credit voucher by the desk staff, which does not make up for the medical expenses she will incur due to the fall. There will be more done to contact hotel owner and discuss further...The hot tub was much to hot 105-106 the day we were there, normally it shouldn't exceed 104. We alerted staff but didn't go back in. With those exceptions all else was great and we would stay there again if ever in Saskatoon again.
Well appointed rooms, new and clean. I loved the historical photographs of Saskatoon in the rooms as well as the public areas. A really nice touch for a chain hotel to promote local history and give a warm feeling.
My biggest issue with this hotel is how paper thin the doors are - to the hallway and to the room connected to it. Also, if possible ask for a top floor as the noise above with thumping and running was very loud. I am shocked that such a new hotel didn't feel it needed to put in any type of sound proofing. There are no carpets in the room either so nothing dampens the noise in this place. You'd be fine to stay here through the week but staying on a weekend when it is full and when there are hockey teams in is a bit of a nightmare. The hotel does not seem to feel it needs to worry about the noise until after 11 am. Again, it was extremely busy on the weekend and had to wait upwards of 10-15 minutes for hot items to arrive and they seemed intent on not putting out too much food at any given time regardless of how many people were there. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are well laid out and clean. The buffet varied daily and had a good selection of foods from yogurt, oatmeal, cold cereal, toast, waffles, eggs, hot meats and good coffee. It is close to numerous restaurants and coffee shops (Starbucks is across the street). Be wary if you have allergies as we did take our pet (and cleared it ahead of time) but were told later we were given a room that actually wasn't for pets! You could do worse to stay here but be wary of potentially not sleeping well if it is busy!
I say "Surprising" because in general, I don't like hotels and rarely stay in them, preferring more privacy. But, we were travelling from Edmonton to Winnipeg, and then back again, so Saskatoon was going to be our stop-over place going to and coming back from Winnipeg. I chose this hotel because the ratings seemed good, and to be honest, I could book it using Air Miles that I'm trying to get rid of. We were impressed from the moment we checked in. The nice gentleman at front desk was delightful. I wish I'd written down his name so I could give him a special shout-out. Check-in was uncomplicated and quick. Out room was very comfortable. Nothing fancy, but clean and everything in good repair. Very comfortable bed! Free breakfast was great!! Fruit, yogurt, hot selections -- a protein (bacon one day, sausage on our return visit), egg, and potato. Lots of bread selections including muffins, english muffins, bagels. Two toasters, lots of toppings. And two waffle makers that looked like lots of fun, but ... The area was kept immaculate, and everything topped up. The lady looking after the breakfast area did a fantastic job. Thank you. Check-out was as pleasant and professional as check-in. Again, I didn't get the names of the two ladies who looked after us on our two visits, but they were great. I have to make a confession: There is a Keurig in each room and pods of coffee (of course). However, I prefer my Starbucks coffee, and when I travel, I sometimes bring my own. This was one of those times. So, on the morning of November 9, I made my coffee (using my own pod) and then forgot to remove the pod from the machine. Housekeeping likely saw that none of the hotel's pods had been used and would probably not have looked inside the machine. So ... if you stayed in room 221 on the night of November 9, and wanted coffee the next morning -- sorry for the "surprise" I left you. That was my carelessness -- not housekeeping's. It's centrally located and close to shopping, restaurants, all services. Great little hotel and we would stay there again without hesitation.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was spotless with easy to use internet with no limits on how many devices were hooked up. The shower was lovely - large and had sliding doors instead of a leaky shower curtain. The towels were even soft and didn't reek of bleach. The breakfast delightful with lots of variety. We definitely recommend the BW East Side.
The hotel is in a great location Friendly staff Wonderful Breakfast We could not stay here using air miles as there was no rooms available using miles, so we booked a regular room wanting to use gift card Unfourtantley the hotel does not accept American Express gift cards, so for this reason we probably will not stay here again
The Best Western Plus East Side in Saskatoon is a very comfortable, luxurious hotel in which I spent one night. The service is exemplary. The breakfast was very enjoyable. I liked the atmosphere. The location was perfect, being across from a great book store which I visited three times during my stay. I took in a movie with family at the movie theatre across the street and was able to browse in the Mall there. I would certainly consider staying again and would recommend to family and friends.
I had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights at the end of October. The check in was super easy and they accommodated my request to have a room close to my brother and sister-in-law. The bed and pillows were really comfy and the room was quiet all night. Housekeeping staff was friendly and the room was immaculately cleaned. The complimentary breakfast included eggs, bacon, potatoes, cereal, waffles, toast, yogurt and much more. The breakfast room was large and the staff worked very hard to replenish food, etc. The only thing I didnt like was that the light in the bathroom was motion activated, and I don't like bright light in the middle of the night.
We stayed here for one night as our boys were playing soccer the next day. Great hotel, new and comfortable with friendly staff. It's also close enough to walk to Tim Horton's, McDonalds and Moxies with other box stores nearby. I don't often head to Saskatoon but if I were to in the future, I would stay at this hotel.
Nice place close to my mates place and only across the street from a shopping mall with many budget places to eat. It out of the centre of town, a taxi may cost about ten bucks downtown but don't quote me on this, the room I had was large clean and well equipped, stayed four nights, breakfast buffet style and filled you up for the morning, if in the area, would stay again, nice hotel in a nice area.
What a great hotel!! kids loved the pool the room and beds very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was fantastic! Would definitely stay here again! Found this experience much better than the Best Western Blairmore
Definitely an ultra modern new Hotel in a prime location. It had an amazing breakfast selection ... I enjoyed the pool and hot tub each evening I was there ... lovely way to end my day - would definitely stay here again !!
The BW is new to the eastside of Stoon and no doubt the best option along 8 St ... Easy access off Circle Drive at 8 St . Stayed one night in a "King" room ... rooms are large , well lit , no carpets on the floor ... spotless . Foot rugs at the beds for comfort . provide underground parking , great for the winter months ... as with most BW hotels buffet breakfast is provided ... lots of variety with hot dishes replenished as required to keep warm and fresh ... beds are comfortable ... accommodating staff .... all good !
We stayed 1 night at this location. I can't say enough good things about this motel. The staff was great, the room was immaculate and the breakfast in the morning was tasty. I will certainly stay here again if we are in Saskatoon.
Excellent location on the east side of the city. New hotel, great amenities. Full hot breakfast served in a very nice dining area. Underground parking was an unexpected bonus as we got our first snow of the season overnight. Friendly helpful staff. Very accommodating. Quiet rooms. Good internet service. Clean pool and hot tub area.
Very clean and comfortable, great location. Breakfast was above average and had lots of variety. Beds were comfortable and clean. Room was a nice size and the tv/internet worked great. Pool was clean and refreshing. Hot tub was relaxing, would definitely stay there again.
I went up to Saskatoon for a concert and looking for a different hotel as the ones downtown near the concert were quite expensive and older. Checked this one out on Trip Advisor and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. It still has a new smell to it. The rooms are very modern with grey tones; exceptionally clean; tile flooring; fridge, microwave, safe; and so-o-o comfortable beds with beautiful sheets and comforter. Although it's on 8th Street, the rooms are quiet and they have black-out curtains that ensured I slept in. The room is an adequate size but not large. It has two sinks-one in the bathroom and one outside and all the amenities usually in a hotel. Check -in and out was friendly and convenient. Staff seemed to enjoy working there and it shows. Although it is not near downtown, it's a quick convenient drive. It is also near to the highways and has a great shopping centre right across the street as well as just about any type of restaurant that you might want on 8th Street.
Family trip for a night was excellent at this hotel. The staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel being quite new is super clean and has ample amenities. Close to shopping, the highway access and given the ample variety of food choices for the breakfast service this hotel got thumbs up from the entire family.
Comfortable clean rooms and very good breakfast with plenty of choice included. Efficient check-in and check-out.Nice swimming pool and hot tub. Conveniently located on 8th St just off Circle Drive.Walking distance to shopping Mall.
I stayed here as I was driving from Edmonton to New Brunswick. It's a brand new hotel with underground parking and away from the downtown area (and the many homeless wanderers). I felt that my vehicle was safe in the secure underground parking as that was a concern for me travelling alone. Lots of restaurants, grocery stores and bars in the area and a Starbucks right across the street. My hotel room was really great, I thought they upgraded me or something because it was really swanky and a huge TV. The beds are super comfortable, I felt like I had the best sleep of my life there! The service was great at the front desk. The continental breakfast was really good in the morning, with fresh hot items.
Stayed here for one night and enjoyed a restful night's sleep. The breakfast was sufficient to meet our needs and the food was tasty as was the coffee. Location is also very good (shopping mall across the street).
Very modern hotel. Staff very friendly. Rooms are nicely decorated Has an extra sink outside bathroom. Great location across from mall. Good assortment for breakfast. Did not go to the pool or hot tub, it looked ok.
On Sept. 9, I had occasion to stay at the Best Western East Side since I had a meeting to attend there. What a great hostelry!!! Since this is one of a spate of new hotels recently put up in Saskatoon , rooms were pristine. No scarred paintwork, dirty carpets and scratched furniture here. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Check in was smooth. Everything ran like clockwork. The complementary breakfast was superb. Sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal, toast, bagels-you name it; it was there. I would rate this stay as a 9.8/10. It really doesn't get much better than this. Highly recommended
We stayed here 2 nights. We booked a king room for 1 night and ended up coming to the city unexpectedly the night before. We werent able to have the same room because all the king rooms were booked up. So we stayed in a double queen. The rooms are nice and new, we found 3 hairs stuck to the shower walls though. It was about 11pm when we checked in, so we didnt complain. The next day, we checked into our king room. The room was not vacuumed, crumbs and what appeared to be pubic hair on the floor. The sink drain was stuck and wouldnt drain water. We complained and they moved us to another room. That room had a short, black curly hair in the bed. We complained and were moved to another room. That room was clean, thank goodness. The staff was very apologetic. We had set up a late checkout for the next day - it even was stated in our confirmation email from the week before. The front desk called us at 11:05 to see if we were extending our stay. The hotel is new, hallways were vacuumed, has a nice underground parkade, decent free breakfast and handy location. The hotel has lots going for it, but the housekeeping staff needs to step it up! Im unsure whether we would stay again.
I just wanted to pass on a thank you to this hotel and especially for Arcelle at the front desk for going out of her way to help me after some last minute scheduling changes. Very much appreciated and will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Saskatoon!
I brought my mom and my children to this hotel in July, 2016, so that I could take her to the airport early in the morning. We all love this hotel, and my Mom did as well; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The breakfast is varied for every taste, the pool is always set to the perfect temperature. The hotel is close to Circle Drive, so driving to the airport is quick and easy. It's super clean, the beds are very comfortable and the staff are friendly, informed and accommodating. Easy access to multiple amenities.
A very good hotel on the east side of Saskatoon. It has very comfortable beds and large walk-in showers. They have a nice gym, indoor pool and underground parking. The breakfast is fantastic. All rooms have laminate flooring which is a bit different. Overall a great place to stay.
Lots of problems with this hotel...Staff could not understand our questions or guide us to; the pool area, the back door of the hotel to get to the parking lot. Floor plan is very hard to get around in. Parking lot in front of hotel is poorly designed. Only one way in, one way out with no signage as to enter or exit. What a bottle neck of traffic. We did not enjoy our stay there
I've been using this hotel as my home base while getting my kids set up to attend University of Saskatchewan. It's conveniently located across the street from a shopping mall, relatively close to the University, and on a main road that has many restaurants, grocery stores and gas stations. I had my 2 small dogs with me on one of my trips, and the hotel was very accommodating of them. I appreciated the abundant free breakfast which offered dairy free and gluten free options upon request. I also made good use of the small gym, laundry facilities, business centre and in-room fridge and microwave. The hotel is very clean and staff are friendly and attentive. I will continue to stay at this hotel whenever I'm visiting my kids in Saskatoon.
We booked through air miles which must have been the reason we ended up with this view. The hotel wasn't fully booked so I'm sure there must have been other rooms available. Anyway, book a room near the back as ours was at front and a lot of street noise from 8th Street. Clean, new and spacious rooms. Breakfast, pool is fantastic. Cookies up front although tray was always empty when we walked by.
The staff all went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Best sleep in most comfortable beds and clean 100%. Would definitely recommend to all. Breakfast was excellent a wide variety of options for everyone.
Stopped for the night on a trip. Very impressed, the hotel is specious and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and courteous. Breakfast in the morning had lots of choices and the eating area is large. Tried to book on our way back but could not get a room the same way we did going (thru Airmiles)
Love the idea of this Best Western Plus is on the East side of Saskatoon, we have family that live in the east and it was an inconvenience travelling to the west when we would be heading east in the morning. Rooms very clean and loved the beds we had an awesome sleep.
Honestly the nicest hotel ever. Rooms were gorgeous, staff was amazing and breakfast was unbelievable. I would recommend this hotel 100 times over!!! Also very close to the mall, restaurants and a block from Circle Drive. Easy to access and navigate from.
This is a fairly new hotel and we have stayed twice with the first in early May 2016 and the next on the July 1 long weekend. Very impressed. Clean rooms, quiet and a very good breakfast. We returned in July based on our first experience which was also very good. Will stay again. Cookies in lobby were a very nice touch.
I like this hotel very much. It provides us with much pleasure and happiness. It has a great swimming pool which we enjoyed a lot. All of our families like this hotel, it is a new hotel and staffs are so nice and helpful. There are many famous chain stores in its neighborhoods. We like this hotel and its great location.
I was in Saskatoon for an extended period due to a family member's poor health. The staff at the hotel was outstanding. They made me feel welcome and important during otherwise hard times. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. My kids loved the pool and water slide. This is an excellent hotel and I would recommend it highly.
Clean, gorgeous rooms, feels so fancy! Awesome continental breakfast, little bit of everything and all very good. Very nice staff. They accommodated us by putting my parents in the room next to us to help with our infant daughter. We looked forward to our trip home through there again, we're excited to stay again tonight!!
We stayed for two nights while in the city for a wedding. The hotel is conveniently located and new so it's in excellent condition. The room was spacious, very clean and well appointed with nice decor. The room was very quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Others in our party used the pool and the kids loved it. Breakfast was good with enough variety. We would definitely stay here again.
We were pleasantly surprised at the new look of a recently opened BW Plus in Saskatoon. Our check in was smooth and very pleasant from the front staff. The room was spacious with a high ceiling and engineered hardwood flooring-great as we had a pet friendly room. It had an executive look with a large screen tv and chic decor with great lighting. The a/c worked beautifully and wasn't too noisy. In the morning we were so impressed by the wide selection of healthy breakfast items laid out in a large clean breakfast area. Would definitely stay here again!
Over the last 40 years, I have stayed at many hotels for both business and personal stays. I can honestly say that this hotel and the hotel room more specifically is the best I have had the pleasure of staying in. It was large enough to accommodate two lounge chairs and foot stools which made watching TV much more pleasant that sitting on the bed. There were several pot lights that fully illuminated the room making it bright and pleasant unlike many of the rooms I have stayed in before. And in the day with all of our electronics, there were more than adequate plug ins and USB charge outlets to accommodate all of our electronics (phones, ipads, etc.) The breakfast areas was very large and had plenty of seating. It had full wall to wall windows on two sides allowing making the room bright and airy. There was lots of variety of foods. We did use the pool and hot tub. It is perfect for both kids and adults alike. The pool had a water slide that the kids enjoyed and the hot tub was hot and relaxing. I can assure you that this will be our hotel of choice whenever we visit Saskatoon again. Thanks for a great stay.
The room was spacious and the floor was tiled(so much cleaner than carpeting ) we were on the 4th floor so. It was quiet but had a beautiful view of the city. The full breakfast could feed or suit any pallet. The reception staff were great. A very enjoyable stay!
Staying in Saskatoon for the first time with my family, we were pleasantly surprised by the high standard of this pet friendly room. The décor was fresh and modern, and the bed and bedding were amazingly comfortable. Great location too!!
A new hotel conveniently located to Circle Drive. The hotel has lots of families, but little was heard of excited children when in the room. It was a weekend, and the indoor pool was well used. The rooms were well laid out, and the 2nd sink just outside the bathroom was a bonus. A full cooked buffet breakfast was included - it was good - about what you'd expect on a buffet. Lots of free parking, both indoors and outdoors. The complementary wifi was rock solid on our room. There is no lunch/dinner service in the hotel, but there are a number of restaurants nearby. The only downside was the very efficient heating/air conditioning unit. While it was controlled by a wall thermostat, the unit was located beside the bed with a strong airflow going across the bed. The louvers in the unit are not adjustable, so when it is operating and you are in bed, you are in a draft. As the visit was in July, it was in air conditioning mode and the draft was very chilly. Adjustable louvers would solve the problem, as would a deflector. We deflected the draft by placing the two room chairs in front of it while sleeping - not ideal as they restricted access to one side of the bed.
I happen to be a smoker. Any one that knows me knows I will not throw a butt on the ground. They are put out and put in my back pocket. When I went to the room l threw them in the garbage. They now want to charge me 350 for smoking in room. They can talk to my lawyer. Can't charge you on assumption.
The hotel is fairly new but is very clean. No carpets in the rooms helps with this. I found the rooms somewhat sterile with a bit of a depressing colour scheme and the window was small. The bed was comfortable. We stayed 3 days. Housekeeping is competent but perhaps a wee bit aggressive to get into your room so make sure you light up your :do not disturb" sign. The pool had a nice water slide but the water was in serious need of changing. There was so much chlorine in the pool it burned my eyes quite a bit. Changing the water more often makes it look and feel less like a toilet. The breakfast was included in the price and was reasonably good. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. Someone put a 6:00 am wake up call on my room that we didn't ask for so perhaps the desk staff need to be a bit more attentive to tasks. The hotel is close to a wide variety of restaurants and shopping.
We are currently in the middle of moving from Montreal to Fort Saskatchewan and I must say out of the 7 hotels we've stayed at during our trip out west this was the best! The hotel is new sleek clean high-tech. The kids loved the pool the slide was a hit even with the adults. The room are spacious and beautiful. I would recommend and go again I don't have a single negative thing to say about our stay. The staff was very present and helpful. Can't wait to come back.
I've been here for a couple of days now and I would say there isn't anything that dissatisfied me so far. Rooms are nice and clean and designed for relaxation. The food that I ate here was really tasty too so keep it up Best Western.
We were need of a hotel that was pet friendly. We came across the BW on 8th St E in Saskatoon. Great place to stay! New hotel, spacious rooms with high ceiling, tiled floor to give it a much cleaner feel, good breakfast with vast selection, great location as close to U of S and amenities on 8th, and pet friendly! We would recommend to this to anyone.
I very much enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I was in Saskatoon for work and stayed for one night. This hotel is very new and modern, and it shows. I was very surprised by how beautiful and modern the room was, with grey tone cork (I think it was cork) floor and no carpet (awesome). I expected the floor to be cold but it was not, to my surprise! The room was super clean, very modern, the bed and bedding were very comfy, the bathroom was very nice and had a large shower with glass door, loved all of it. The location is pretty good, there is a strip mall across the road that I didn't explore, but I did spend time at the Starbucks and the massive Chapters/Indigo store. There is underground parking but I was driving a half ton Dodge pickup and figured I wouldn't fit underground, so I parked in the large parking lot in the rear. Tons of parking there, very happy to see that. The only downfall is there is no restaurant or lounge at this particular hotel, so I drove to a nearby restaurant for dinner (Moxies). The continental breakfast was included in my stay. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the breakfast, but it was pretty good for a hotel breakfast. I would prefer a meal rather than the pre-made packaged microwaveable breakfasts (for eggs anyway), but it was decent enough to grab and go. There were other options such as cereal and fruit, but I prefer eggs for breakfast.
This is great hotel in saskatoon close to circle drive so easy to get around. Rooms were well appointed very comfortable. Our room came with a breakfast which very sustain tial Good pool facilities for kids. Would highly recomend
If you book this nice new hotel be sure to ask for room as far away from the street as possible. Every dingbat gangsta seems to use 8th Street as a race track.we got zero sleep. Second night was better once away from the street.
We stayed 2 nights July 1st and 2nd, 2016 beautiful new hotel, very friendly staff and nice clean modern comfortable room. The only thing that could make it better is if the hot tub was a little warmer and the pool as well but both were still not bad. We will stay again this is out 2nd time here. The underground parking is a nice feature but would be tight fit for trucks and large SUV. Clean courtesy and new what's more to ask for.
One of the nicest hotels I've been in. Nice interior and I enjoyed that there was no carpet in the rooms. Made it look and feel cleaner than most hotels. The front desk clerk, Ajith?, was extremely helpful and attentive. Quiet hotel even although it was pretty full. Breakfast had a lot of options and variety. Lots of restaurant within walking distance. Comfy beds and nice clean shower. Pool was a tad shallow but the had a small water slide. Overall I would recommend the hotel to anyone.
The hotel is in a great location with easy access to circle drive. the rooms and all the amenities are like brand new. The continental breakfast had many hot and cold items and increase the overall value of the stay.
Having stayed at various hotels in Saskatoon, I would have to say that this past weekend at the Best Western East Side overshadowed all others. The staff is wonderful, the hotel (inside and out) is incredibly clean, the rooms are well done. I will not hesitate to make this my stay of choice in Saskatoon going forward.
Room was extremely spacious and comfortable. Pool and hot tub were very clean and relaxing. Breakfast in the morning was amazing - a far cry from the usual continental breakfast were are accustomed to at other hotels. After staying at this Best Western we changed an upcoming hotel stay at a different location to stay at their Best Western as well. I honestly can't see staying anywhere else in the future. We will be back :)
My husband and I were in Saskatoon for his medical procedure. The front desk attendant was wonderful, very attentive to our needs, moving us closer to the elevator in anticipation of difficulties after my husband's surgery. Very kind and professional as were all the guest services people we encountered. Our room was very posh, well appointed and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The breakfast bar is amazing, lots of choices, fresh and tasty. My only disappointment was I left a note requesting extra decaf coffee, creamer and sugar. None was left and the paper cups we had used were not replaced. The barely used lotion, conditioner and hand soap were removed and new amenities placed. Although I had hung towels to be reused these too were taken and replaced with clean ones. Wasteful. But this is a fabulous choice and I highly recommend it to everyone! Thank you for an awesome stay.
This hotel is very nice. I loved that it was tile in the rooms instead of carpet. The staff was super helpful. Pool & waterslide were great. Breakfast was good and lots of it even though it was really busy. Only tip is to not stay on the first floor if you want to sleep in as the noise from the breakfast room carries but we were in the first room past the front desk.
Loved this hotel! Very modern and friendly professional staff. Water slide and pool was great and hot breakfast a nice touch. The room was very clean and modern and the location is great. I would recommend this hotel (and I'm picky with hotels)!!
We checked in on a Sunday night just after getting married. I admit that I was probably as excited as a child as I discovered the door bells they have for each of the rooms. The cool thing about them is that they have light which indicated to the housekeeping staff whether you need service or not. The bed was super comfy. The temperature in the room was perfect. It was clean and super modern. I really felt like I was staying in a luxury room even though it was just a standard room with a king bed. The room had super high ceilings and the art was actual black and white photos of places in Saskatoon, which I thought was a really cool touch! I loved that the room just had a shower as I prefer to shower over taking baths. I would like to mention that perhaps putting rubber strips at the bottom of the glass doors like there are on the sides would help to keep the water from the shower in the shower and not on the bathroom floor. I also liked that the room did not have carpet, just vinyl flooring. I think this is much easier to clean and gives the room a much nicer look. Breakfast was just great the two days we had it. The seemed to switch up the options between days which is so much nicer when you are there for multiple days. The pool area was super clean and quiet. It made sitting in the hot tub super relaxing! The staff there was very friendly and accommodating! I apologize to the front desk staff for paying with about five different gift cards! It was a really great stay! Thank you! :D
Got tickets for Garth Brooks, and booked this thru Expedia. All was good, except 2 days before we leave, I got email from hotel, stating they cancelled our rooms. I was so mad, picked up phone and called and was assured that we still had our rooms and got the confirmation numbers. Then the morning we are leaving another email stating they cancelled our rooms. Got to the hotel, checked in, and about 3 hours later another email stating they cancelled our rooms. Very frustrating, seeing we were already in our rooms. Room was still dirty on check in, and the last persons hair still in bathroom. on the plus side. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was awesome. Eggs, sausage, hash browns, yogurt, cereals, toast, bagels, fruit, coffee, tea, juices. Very well done breakfast area, lots of seating. As for the pool, don't expect to drink or eat around the pool area. Not allowed. Such a shame as there was never anybody using the pool or hot tub. We used briefly, as we like to have a beverage to two while in the hot tub. Now I get the "no glass" in the pool area, but no drinks or snacks? Come on!! And Garth Brooks was amazing!!! Also the cookies in the lobby were delicious, and the lemon/lime/cucumber water very refreshing.
We were quite impressed with how nice this hotel was. The lobby was lovely, but the room impressed me as well. The floors did not have that awful carpet most hotels do. Instead it was a nice smooth tile like floor that my husband and I really liked. I felt like it would be easy to clean and I didn't question that it was (unlike nasty carpets). The bathroom had a wonderfully large walk in shower, and for someone with a disability like my husband, it was perfect. I also like the motion sensor lights. My husband was impressed by the quality of the tv (not that we watched much) something about dual channels and really clear high quality. The bed was also very comfortable. Had a great night sleep. We did not use the pool or continental breakfast.
We stayed at this new Best Western while in Saskatoon for Garth Brooks! The front desk attendance was very friendly and helpful. She advised us that we had enough points to redeem for our nights' stay. That is the first time any attendant has ever checked for us! The breakfast the next morning was excellent. Food was fresh, tasty and nicely presented. Will definitely stay here again!
This hotel is almost new. Good location and the staff are nice. Breakfast is included and is pretty good. I do like the underground parking nice touch. The rooms are good, I do find the beds a little hard but that's a personal preference. This is the 3rd stay here and we have got the same room all 3 times. What are the odds lol
A great location across from the mall. The hotel is new and the rooms are a nice size with high ceilings. Infused water and cookies in the lobby. Free parking, wifi and breakfast. The floors are a little noisy and I would recommend not having a room by the lobby. We could hear everyone coming and going. Breakfast was especially loud and the laundry room was right across from ours, so that was loud too. If we had a different room my review would be better.
This hotel is clean and fresh. Brand new with good breakfast. I messed up my dates when booking and the staff made it right. Good job! The cookies in the lobby were soft and the pool area was well maintained.
We were treated well, the room was always clean and fresh, and the beds extremely comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful to assist us with anything that we needed, which meant a lot to us under difficult circumstances as our father had passed away. Thank you again.
New hotel so nice surroundings. BUT handicapped room had no bars around the regular height toilet and the shower was not a roll-in type and had sliding doors on it. There was a chair to set in the shower but lifting someone from a wheelchair onto it would have been difficult wit the shower doors. Also, while the bed was comfortable, it was high and difficult to get into for a person with mobility issues.
Very clean, pleasant atmosphere. Staff were very professional and courteous. Stayed there in spring so didn't really require the underground parking although I know I'd really appreciate it in the winter. Used the pool and hot tub facilities, all were kept in very clean condition. Excellent breakfast layout and selection. Will likely stay here again on future business trips.
Very clean room - love laminate flooring and two sinks - one inside and one outside bathroom. Large, smart TV and Keurig coffee maker nice touches, too. Helpful and friendly staff. Underground parking a plus, too.
Everything from service to amenities was excellent. Very clean bathroom and room. Nicely decorated. Pool was a nice temperature and my son had fun on the waterslide. Staff was friendly. Breakfast options included hot food that was tasty. Coffee was good.
This hotel appears to be very new. We were not sure how long it has been open. Very modern, stylish decor. Room was clean -- especially the bathroom. Hard floors in the rooms which is so nice instead of carpet. I am sure much more sanitary. Breakfast is provided and has a lot of variety. Our only complaint is that the air conditioning did not work. Pool and small waterside are decent. It was a very hot day about 28 C. The room was uncomfortably warm and the teeny window was not enough to cool it down. I don't mind the heat, but my kids and husband found it intolerable. Our young daughter had to get up early to play 3 hockey games. It was unfortunate that she could not get a decent sleep. We were offered 10% off our bill. Nice gesture, but it really didn't help.
Nice and clean, newer hotel. The pet friendly rooms were non-carpeted and there was a nice well maintained strip of grass along one side of the hotel, which made my dog happy. The full breakfast was excellent, with lots of food and dietary selections for just about any taste. Will stay here again,
Another great hotel by Best Western. Clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast, at a good location. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family members. Nice large rooms with beautiful showers. will book here again.
Great stay! Will stay here again for the next trip. Location of hotel was perfect and very easy to find. Located right on 8th street where you are very close to restaurants and shopping. Love that the pool is open until 10pm.
Modern, beautiful rooms! Kids loved the doorbell and do not disturb/clean room lights! Great breakfast choices for kids.... Convenient location and lots of parking! No bathtubs only showers, but great pressure and lots of hot water.....
We stayed there for one night and the room was beautiful. It was exactly what we wanted. Breakfast was really good as well. Only thing we didn't like was that the walls were so thin that we could hear ppl outside in the morning and the view was crappy. The location is perfect. It's right but the main road that takes you anywhere in the city and it's surrounded by tons of things to do and eat. Overall it was a great experience.
We only stayed one night at this hotel. The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but the rooms are new, modern and spacious. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, probably one of the best beds I've ever slept in. The room is spacious and I liked the fact that there was no carpet, so the floors seemed exceptionally clean to me. The pool area was clean and bright and easy to access. Didn't have a change to use the fitness room but it looked to have newer equipment and would have been great if we were there longer. Staff was courteous and pleasant and checked us in and out quickly and efficiently. The hotel will put a $200 hold on your credit card. The included breakfast in this hotel is really quite good with hot and cold items. Eggs, sausage, potatoes, oatmeal and make your own waffles. Bread, bagels, English muffins, cereal, yogurt, juice. Everything was fresh and quite tasty. Parking is available at the back of the property or they also have an underground parking lot. There is a mall across the street with some nice stores if you need to do some shopping. I would definitely stay here again on future visits.
This is a gorgeous new hotel with reasonable prices. The location also allows you to find just about anything you might need. Will stay again! Everyone was friendly and the rooms were soooo clean! My new fave for visits to Saskatoon!
We spent an overnight at this very new hotel in April '16. The room was spotless and it was very quiet. Every staff member we walked by smile and greeted us no matter what they were busy doing. The breakfast choices were excellent- hot and cold, I can't say I've ever seen a better or more varied breakfast at a hotel. The pool area was very clean as well and the kids spent as much time there as they could playing on the waterslide. The hotel is in a great location, a mall and Tim Hortons very close by.
This is a very new hotel and it shows. The hotel is very clean, and the hotel staff are excellent. The rooms were large and well laid out, with 10 power outlets readily available for charging accessories, phones and tablets. The Internet was flawless, as was the breakfast. The shower was very large and did not have a lip to step over. The bed was very comfortable. The only problem was street racers on 8th Street between 1 and 3 AM, which obviously was not a hotel problem. Excellent choice and well worth the money.
We stayed at this hotel while driving from Manitoba to Edmonton. We booked the hotel knowing it would be our night's rest - halfway point of our trip. We were pleasantly surprised with the high quality of this hotel and will definitely be returning. The front desk staff was accommodating and welcoming. The room was spotless and very comfortable. The pool area included a waterslide, pool, hot tub, and lounge chairs. Although the hotel was fully booked and the pool was busy - noise levels were fine and we had both a fun and restful stay. The continental breakfast was great. There were choices for everyone. The food was hot and fresh and there was smoke seating for everyone. We look forward to returning to this hotel.
We chose the Best Western Plus East Side to be close to our event, only to find out that this is the Hotel we will definitely come back to every time we are in Saskatoon. First of all the location is perfect, coming from Regina. But more then just the location, it is the best Hotel we ever stayed in Saskatoon. No wonder the call it the Best Western Plus. It was clean, quiet and very important the bathroom and shower was super. Every body in our group loved the very generous breakfast. You could get anything you wanted. And the coffee topped it all, very good. Not to forget the pleasant and courteous staff.
After traveling 6 hrs.... Kids wanted nothing but food and a pool. Got to this hotel realizing I had booked the wrong day when doing online. The hotel was booked solid so as I scrabbled online looking for availability, one of the staff members ran outside to find me as to tell me they had a last minute cancellation and she rushed to find us in the parking lot!!! She then booked us in and gave us a discounted price as well!!! The hotel was in excellent condition!!! Very clean rooms, excellent pool and food!!! The staff was beyond friendly and extremely helpful!!!! Would recommend to anyone!!!! Thank you again to all the staff especially the one at the front desk.
Visited the hotel with my family (2 kids) and we will definitely go back for sure! Clean rooms and clean hotel. Pool is clean and well maintained. Beds and rooms are extremely comfortable and cozy and I loved that the floors aren't carpeted. The breakfast was exceptionally good, staff is so friendly. Highly impressed.
It was the best of times. After being left on our own to find another hotel to stay in Saskatoon, after the Best Western Blairmore debacle We went to look for another property within easy commute of the Courthouse. We noticed another Best Western off the ring road, and thought we would give it a try. The hotel was brand new, the desk clerk was welcoming, and was able to give us a very nice room for us and our dog, at about the same price as the Blairmore. We were shocked to find out that both Hotels had the same owner. I suppose when it came to hire staff for the Blairmore, they had used up all the good personnel for the East Side property. Every thing was new, extremely clean and high tech. They served a good hot breakfast. The property was quiet and convenient to downtown and the "cool" Broadway corridor in Saskatoon. Every member of the staff greeted us with smiles and hellos. it was a very pleasant experience. When we return to Saskatoon later in the month, we will gladly stay there again.
I found this hotel thru air miles. I looked at the reviews and because it was new, we decided to book it. Upon entering the front doors, you are greeted by a clean modern look. Front desk staff was efficient and courteous. We were offered underground parking and told about the free continental breakfast. After attending the Rush lacrosse game we drove back to hotel. Getting into the parking garage was easy and there were lots of stalls. Being secure was nice, very important if I'd been by myself. Our room 225 was great. High ceiling, big room, very long desk/dresser with TV, microwave, mini fridge, Keurig coffee maker and a safe. Room had a thermostat which is so nice. Best feature was NO carpet on floor. Beds were very comfortable with four pillows per bed. We would definitely recommend this hotel. We will be back even if we have to pay. (131.00 plus tax) two queen beds with free parking and hit continental breakfast.
Just stayed one night but will be back. Very nice new hotel in Saskatoon - beautiful decor; ample lighting, nice walk in shower; amenities could be better but okay; staff excellent; breakfast very good. Heating/cooling worked fine; nice big tvs with good channel selection. Everything you want, it's there.
New, beautiful, trendy decor. Comfortable room with good lighting. Nice selection at breakfast. Staff couldn't have been more friendly and eager to please. Lots of food and shopping choices near - an easy walk.
Was a great hotel ,friendly staff ,very clean ,great Breakfast ,will stay there again for sure !!l would recommend this hotel to everyone .Family came to visit as well ,had a great time too. Stay here and enjoy the hotel !
This is a new hotel so its understandable that is nicely appointed and everything is new and fresh, but we were amazed at how comfortable the room and the bed were. The room was at perfect temperature when we arrived and not even looking for a thermostat, it stayed at a perfect temperature all night. The room was well lit, unusual for a hotel room, and spacious. The walk-in shower was bright and cheery and the room had all the amenities including microwave, fridge, and Keurig coffee maker. Breakfast even included real bacon, although a little cold, that was quickly rectified in the microwave. The only shortfalls we could have asked for improvements in was the slow WIFI on the 4th floor and a little deeper hot tub.
We spent two nights here, our two rooms were nice and clean, beds were comfy. I love that the rooms have no gross carpeting. Staff were efficient and friendly. Location is conveniently placed within walking distance of mall, restaurants etc.
long time reader, first time review. front office and cleaning staff were very friendly and took care of our questions. Beware of the no food or drink in the pool. this is strictly enforced. not even plastic cups or bottles allowed. this was not expected as have stayed at other BW and this was okay. I have let the hotel know about this.
The hotel is conveniently located across from a shopping centre. The rooms accommodate our family and have all the hotel extras. We find the lack of carpet in the room to be a bonus as it ensures that the floors are cleaned and cared for with all the changes of weather SK experiences. We have not yet had the opportunity to check out the pool or water slide. However our young children really enjoyed the complimentary cookies in the lobby.
Beds are comfy. Complimentary breakfast was the best I have had for a few years now. Well priced rooms. Staff actually cares. Modern new atmosphere. My girls loved the free cookies at check in. Well located at the end of eight street. Close to everything.
Great location, directly across from The Centre and right of the highway. Rooms still smell new. Very professional service at the front desk. Staff were very helpful and patient. Cleaning staff also very friendly. Greeted you once you were in their path. Very tastefully decorated rooms and spotless clean. I would definitely consider it again.
Stayed here on a business trip - had a block of rooms booked for employees. Hotel is very new - modern - and very clean. I got a ground floor room, 110 I believe, with two queen beds. Room was spacious, enjoyed the fact the floor is not carpeted, pillows were very comfortable (colleague of mine actually bought some) and so were the beds - a comfortable night stay. I didn't use the pool - but the area looked nice and clean. I did have breakfast - it had both hot and cold options, and was a good way to start the day. The hotel is located across the street from a mall and also an Indigo/Starbucks - and is also just off the circle drive. It's a handy location if you're travelling to other parts of the city. Did not use the underground car park, as it was mild outside. I would stay here again when it town for business.
Hotel was great. Nice and new. Great warm pool and hot tub was great as well.Kids loved the waterslide. Really quite fast! Staff were really friendly and helpful. The hotel is located right across from a fairly large mall with a decent food court and decent shopping. Great if you need a few things at the hotel. We stayed on the first floor and it was really convenient but ended up having noisy neighbours above us. (Really noisy). Anyways, I would stay here again in a heartbeat but would ask for a top floor. The rooms were very clean and beds were comfy. I have not stay at a Best Western before but would consider again after our stay here.
My new favorite place to stay in Saskatoon. It is 10mins from downtown and easy access to major thoroughfare in and out of the city. Underground parking Rocks. Big trucks not permitted in underground due to space requirment.
Very convenient location with lots of local amenities. Staff are uniformly pleasant and helpful. Decor is utilitarian but everything you need is there, including optional underground parking. Breakfast is available and is included in the fairly reasonable price..... not a gourmet experience but most would find the variety and freshness acceptable. If you are looking for a character hotel don't look here, but if you're looking fo a clean well-run establishment in a handy location this will fit the bill.
The hotel was nice and clean. A very modern appearance. We enjoyed looking at the portraits hanging in the lobby and in the hallways depicting Saskatoon history. The only thing we didn't like was that there wasn't a bathtub option given to us, only a walk-in shower and that the pool was very visible to the street which made it uncomfortable for us to go swimming in private.
Pros: - clean, new, fresh - I like staying in new hotels the always feel clean - the underground parkade - very nice to have in winter - free breakfast - we only stay at places with breakfast included - pool & waterslide & hot tub - clean, not over crowded - the mattress was very comfortable, pillow was fine there seemed to be soft and hard ones I think - covered entrance - it was snowing when we arrived so it was nice that we could park and not get snowed on while we unloaded outside - generally the hotel was quiet, only one time did we hear some giggly girls being noisy in the hallway, but that lasted less than 5 minutes. The first night the parkade and parking lot was pretty much full so it's not like the hotel just didn't have many guests. - the door bell system - it was cool to have a light outside your room that turned red to indicate do not disturb and green to indicate service needed. In our last hotel in Saskatoon they did not clean the hotel room one day and so I don't want to go back there. There is only one thing you do to my room (clean it) and the other place failed. - lighting - man this hotel had more room lighting than any other hotel I've ever stayed in. It was really nice to have a selection of lighting from LED reading lights to overhead pot lights. - Long desk surface. There was a long desk/dresser surface that was great for putting stuff on. - Big glass shower - we had a room with a shower only but it had huge glass doors and was really roomy, clean, and bright. Cons: - heating unit - it ran a fair bit at night the first night and I woke up with a really sore throat due to the air. The second night I turned the unit totally off and did not have a problem. - pool attendant - oddly enough the pool attendant didn't seem to care about the kids who went down the waterslide on a chain, but did care if you brought in a paper coffee cup. Don't bring in paper cups, they're bad! - bed linens were not real soft, they were kind of hard - no EV car charger - the Best Western in Regina has 3 chargers and two other hotels in Saskatoon also have them. If I'm staying more than one night I can stay anywhere and if not I will stay at another hotel. Please add a charger or two so I can always stay at your hotel in the future. We did not turn the TV on so I can't comment on that. We sat on our iDevices on the WiFi if we were in the room LOL. The free breakfast items were the same as every other hotel with a free breakfast that we've stayed at. It was missing a better selection of instant oatmeal and pancake maker, otherwise all standard items. This hotel is my new fave in Saskatoon and if they'd add an EV charging outlet or two I'd be hooked for many years to come.
Upon check-in, I was greeted warmly by both Dorys and Vanessa. Due to this being a new hotel, everything is fresh and clean. The only complaint I have about my room is that there is no carpet, so it made for a bit of a wet mess due to winter boots. I enjoyed having underground, heated parking. And I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It's a great location next to a mall, restaurants and a theatre. I look forward to staying here again.
Good value for money, nice breakfast, underground parking was good as it was a cold snowy weekend ,good location just off circle drive as we were visiting family in Saskatoon. Swimming pool was nice, hot tub could have been much hotter,
This hotel is very clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly. The room looks like your living room at home making a person feel right at home. The location of the hotel is perfect for business and personal. I would stay here again for sure.
I stayed in the Best Western Plus East Side back in December and it really stood out for me as being a great place to stay. I had my family with me and we had a great time! As soon as I arrived, I noticed was how immaculately clean the hotel was. The lobby, the hallways, our room, the pool area... spotless! The staff was very accommodating and courteous, always smiling. I have been in the service industry for twenty five years, so I can say with utmost confidence that the service was beyond reproach! They went above and beyond to ensure a most pleasant stay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the pool! The temperature was perfect and we loved the water slide. Breakfast was excellent, something there for every taste and it was well prepared. Being so close to amenities and easy access to roads that will take you to the rest of the city was an added bonus! I have recommended the Best Western Plus East Side to my friends as a great place to stay while in Saskatoon and will continue to do so. We look forward to our next visit! Well done!
Not allowed to take bottled water into pool area. Told I have to drink from the fountain. Sorry but I'm a germaphobic. Not very accommodating so can't recommend this place. But otherwise rooms are nice. Overpriced. First time staying here. Much better places in the city
food was good. the pool even had a waterslide which was very enjoyable and lots of fun. rooms were nice and clean and all staff were very welcoming! would go back again for sure without a doubt. They even have underground parking!
As part of a trip tp Saskatoon we stayed at this new hotel because of its location. We were extremely impressed with the quality of the hotel, staff, reception we received and the overall feel of "COMING HOME" we will have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anybody and we will be frequently staying there when we visit overnight Saskastoon
I was very impressed. The staff was very efficient and courteous. The room was very clean. I was very impressed with the staff as I left behind some medication and they went out of their way to get it back to me in record time.
Stayed at the best western east side in Saskatoon January 28-30 2016. Hotel is very clean, bright with very nice decor. All staff from the front desk to cleaning and pool staff were all very nice and friendly. Pool is very nice and water slide is a blast. Both the pool and hot tub were at perfect temperatures for my liking. Room was again very clean, modern and bright. Stayed in a king room and loved the shower with sliding door (no gross curtain) and the absence of carpet is a definite plus for me, just makes it feel clean. Breakfast was very good, more than I usually expect from a hotel and had a lot of options. Free underground parking is a very nice option. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.
The hotel is new and clean. Staff were courteous and helpful. There are a number of restaurants within walking distance. The room was spacious and the television was large and allowed screen mirroring for my Smartphone (allowing me to access my Netflix account and watch it on the big screen TV). Free breakfast was better than average with choice of hot and cold selections.
I have stayed in a lot of hotels and nothing compares to this one! The hotel was very clean, and to us as a family with young children that is a huge MUST. We have stayed in hotels where cleanliness was not a priority. The rooms were amazing, I loved how the ceilings were so high, made the rooms feel so spacious. My kids had a blast in the pool, they couldn't get enough of the water slide. It's close to many restaurants and the mall for shopping. Great location! Breakfast was awesome! the waffle maker was a real hit! overall this hotel is in our top 5 and we would absolutely stay here again. I highly recommend this to everyone. Also the staff were super helpful and polite
Stayed 2 nights here (Jan 2016) and the rooms are all new and clean. Comfy bed, big TV screen, free wifi, fridge, microwave, free breakfast, and easy to use adjustable heating. Unlike many hotels in Saskatoon they have underground heated parking. Just need to get the garage door working with the room keys. I had to get help from the commissionaire every time, but he was very friendly and happy to help. There's been an absence of hotels in this part of town for too long. Happy they've chosen this location. Reasonably priced too. I will definitely stay here again!
Overall stay was good with very friendly staff. Heated underground parking a plus for Saskatchewan weather. Breakfast was excellent but would have liked a full time restaurant. Would recommend this hotel.
Overall this was a good stay. We stayed for 4 nights with our kid as were in town for a funeral. Very clean hotel. Room suited our needs. In room microwave and fridge a plus! Beds were great. Fully equipped gym. Pool was ok, but as others have said the security was overbearing as they watched for any wrong move by the kids and jumped on the parents even before parents had a chance to talk to their own children! They need to lighten up a little, and be polite! As parents we understand the rules but let us have a little fun!! Breakfast selection was quite good. Most things tasted very bland and the scrabbled eggs were overdone and powdery. 2% milk was always empty. Kids liked the Waffle station. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating.
The minute you walk into this hotel you can tell it is something special. From the friendly staff to the cleanliness of the entire hotel i was very impressed. Underground parking was very welcome with the cold weather, washed my truck before parking and it was dry by morning and not frozen. Very good breakfast with an upscale type restaurant feel, bright and inviting.
Thanks Best Western for maintaining your excellent quality! The experience was outstanding and the modern surroundings were impeccable. We particularly enjoyed the epic design of the room matching all the surrounding areas. The high quality of the bed linens added to a most comfortable bed. Well done, Best Western!
This hotel is brand new. The staff was very nice. The room was clean and very modern. Pool is really good for the kids and the water slide is pretty good as well. Breakfast is included and was good. Also this best western is really well located on 8th with malls and restaurants really close. And heated under ground parking. Thumbs up
Excellent breakfast, super fun water slide. Rooms very nicely decorated and very modern. Loved the pictures through out the hotel depicting Saskatoon in the 50's and 60's. The staff provided excellent service.
Pool attendants really need to loosen up about no drinks in pool area! While kids are enjoying the pool it's nice to sit at one of the patio tables enjoying a coffee or bottle of pop. Funny thing is that the pool police gave me heck for a cup of Coke while being oblivious to the table next to us with an open beer bottle under a towel, excellent work Sherlock!!! In my view it's much worse to allow street shoes and winter boots. Not to mention no enforcement of several other rules or attendants looking at their phones. Also a bit ridiculous to have security at you door at 11:15 on New Years Eve when the only thing going on was a family (2 adults and three kids ages 8-12) watching New Years Countdown. Other than that, new and clean. Great underground parking and complimentary breakfast.
Stayed here for New Year's Eve & loved it. Great linens. Also, the fridge is cold as well as the water. Great tasting chips. Overall very clean.. fresh smelling.. soft bedding & a great hotel for the money. Pool seems like a decent size, water slide looks fun.. oh & every room purchase comes with free breakfast.
We had the pleasure of staying here for New Year's Eve. Very clean and beautiful rooms. All the modern conveniences that you come to expect are here. Very nice that a hot breakfast comes with the room too. Defiantly recommend you to check this hotel out! Thanks for the nice stay:)
Stayed 3 nights over Christmas, being new the property was nice and fresh. The pool and waterside were nice, warm pool and only 4 feet deep so great for kids. The heated underground parking was a plus during the cold snap. The breakfast could use more healthy selections.
I believe I might have been one of the first to be in this brand new hotel. I would advise any business traveler to take advantage of this area and ambiance of something new! I stayed in room 405, it was away from any traffic, front doors etc. If I wanted to park at the side, front or even in the heated underground parking lot- there was always an elavator. its close to almost every you need in the area, from access to highway to lunch and dinner options, fine dining to macdonalds.
I am always pleased with the cleanliness and the friendly staff at Best Western hotels across Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba! This stay was extra good because it is a brand new hotel! Super clean, great location and wonderful helpful staff! I will be back!
This is a new hotel in a good location. Easy to get to from almost any highway into Saskatoon. Close to food, shopping, and fuel. The underground parking is wonderful during a Saskatchewan winter. The included breakfast is quite good and has a good selection of items that will satisfy most people.
