When I come to visit my daughter and her family I always stay here. You will not find a cleaner and more comfortable place anywhere in the area. My room is always ready which is important after a day of traveling. But best of all is the staff. Always cheerful and smiling. I give a shout out to Bella at the front desk. She helped me resolve an issue in a timely manner. I can't wait to get back to Oakley in the near future. Oh and the breakfast is delicious with lots of options for everyone. And of course it's always complementary.
I was moving from Oakley to Napa, it was getting late & we were tired. My sister was so kind and rented a room for myself & cousin. The staff we interacted with was very nice. Checked us in, went to our room, ah so nice. 2 queen beds maybe king, comfortable with nice pillows & nice bedding. Desk and chair with a nice light, dressers, TV , night stands lights by the bed, phone & alarm clock, another nice comfy chair with foot rest. Nice bathroom, nice towels, shampoos/conditioners & lotions, hair dryer.. pretty nice lobby and a waiting/sitting area with nice furniture and I believe a fire place not sure. All the rooms are accessible from inside, so it's nice and safe. Hallways are clean and it smells refreshing throughout the hotel. Plenty of parking, you can pull up under the covered. Entrance unload your luggage onto a hotel cart take it inside the lobby, go park your car. There are newspapers available when you come in the hotel also they serve breakfast. Fruit, yogurts, granolas. Hot & cold cereals, juices, coffee, danish's, toast, bagels, English muffins, waffles, and they also serve breakfast sandwiches.. nice area to sit and eat and watch TV.. they also have laundry facilities available on the first floor at the end of the hallway. Bring your quarters and laundry soap/dryer sheets. It's available anytime of the day or night. They also have a gym not sure but they might have a pool. Located right of the freeway exit. Starbucks, McDonalds, carls Junior, chevron, AMPM Arco, She'll , Dutch Bros. & coming soon Wendy's. A little further down the road is Raleys, dollar tree, Taco Bell, round table, Popeyes, mountain mikes, a great donut shop, subway, ups, nail salon, hair cutting place, jack in the box and a few smoke shops.
Stayed with my 2 dogs. The pet friendly room was spacious and incredibly clean. I love that their pet friendly rooms don't have carpet, they have hard wood instead, so I'm sure that helps keeping them absolutely spotless. I've been to plenty of hotels that just make their pet rooms the old/dirty/run down rooms, and I really appreciate that this hotel doesn't do that. I was in town to visit family, and our stay was perfect.
I spent three months following their process for reduced rate (contract) room block for my son's wedding. I submitted their required form 7/7/22 for 10/8 wedding. General Manager would NOT return my calls or emails to follow up on the status. One month before wedding the hotel was no longer taking reservations and began taking names from me for a waiting list! Still I was told I could not speak with hotel manager about where we stood and indeed my messages for her were not returned! I was told that an early check in request for my elderly father to rest after travel before wedding (even just an hour) would be highly unlikely because they are so "short staffed". We were forced to make arrangements elsewhere for most in the family. One week prior to our event (three months after initiating their process) I received an email from the hotel manager stating our contract details would be sent "soon" but still, a contract was never sent! After the fact, when I asked for contact information for franchise owner, I was told by hotel staff (Linda) that they do not provide that information and the only way to escalate a complaint about the general manager is to contact the corporate office. I did so, with request for call back from franchise owner but again, no response. At another local hotel, there was no trouble with granting early checking, and they were not "short staffed". The management and ownership is completely unconcerned with customer service. Perhaps this hotel can stay full without providing decent customer service, and fortunately Oakley is not a destination I will visit in the future. But Best Western is the name I will remember as the hotel to always avoid!
I live in the same town as the hotel. I just wanted a night of jetted tub for my bad back and hips. The water pressure sucked. The plug was difficult to get to stay in. The water leaked and the jets were clogged. Even when I adjusted the air pressure.
The breakfast sucked! I paid almost $200 for a one-night stay, and it was defiantly not worth the money!!! The internet went out and all they could say to me is "Everyone's internet is out" ummmm ok! Elevator was not working so had to climb up the stairs with just having a total hip replacement.
We made a reservation months in advance. We travelled 5 hrs only to be told our room was given away because we did not make reservations thru the hotel directly and they do not always communicate well with corporate reservations. What the heck, what a terrible way to treat people, we no longer stay at this brand of hotel.
I would not recommend this hotel if you're used to a good BW Hotel stay. There's not enough staff to clean the rooms, there's not enough staff to fix problems, the front desk is overworked and you can tell by their attitude. They use Covid as an excuse for everything. The public bathrooms were closed the entire eight days and we're not working at all. The elevator broke and had to be fixed because there's only one. The elevator is extremely slow and upon checking I was told that. The free breakfast was dismal. If you're used to a hot breakfast from Best Western don't expect it here. Several days it was bagged water and apple and a Nutri-Grain bar horrible! When it was open it was toast coffee muffins and cereal. No scrambled eggs no sausage or bacon no pancakes or waffles. If you expect your room to be cleaned every day it's not. You have to ask in order to get your room cleaned. You also have to bring your dirty towels to the front desk in order to get clean ones, because they have a shortage of towels too. I was told this is hotel policy. The water pressure is low and also the water doesn't get really hot in the shower. The hotel is kept very clean and the Spanish lady who does the breakfast also does the cleaning and she's amazing! I actually felt really sorry for her because I felt she was overworked.
This hotel doesn't give you the service they charge for. Not able to sleep at all due to loud noise from window all night. Sounded like there were turkeys in the room all night. Terrible!! I'm embarrassed for Best Western calling this a hotel in their chain.
I stayed at this hotel when I flew down to be with my father for his birthday. The internet never worked for the two days I was there, I had a crack in a sink and the shower curtain was so close to the wall that you were into the curtain all the time. They don't let you know even though you're a Best Western member that you will need to put $150 deposit down and you will get it back when you check out. They are right you will get it back but it takes 3 to 15 BUSINESS days to get it back. Not recommended to stay here.
Clerks were rude and uninformed about me being a rewards member. I informed them I was and they told me I wasn't. I had to literally look up my rewards number to provide to them. Checked at the end of my stay to see if the points were added, and of course they were not and the desk attendant said that she had no control over this issue and I would need to contact corporate with any other questions. Otherwords, not my problem. Left feeling frustrated and unappreciated.
It was 95 degrees when we arrived to stay at a 65+ tennis tournament. The pool and jacuzzi were closed this was during spring break. The elevator was broken, and we had to go three flights of stairs- nobody to help us. The breakfast advertised as hot was a grab and go bunch of sugary packaged items. They ran out of coffee. You could not get new towels unless you carried your dirty ones downstairs and exchanged. Management very unhelpful. I will never stay at a best western plus hotel. I paid $187.00 a night for this crappy hotel. We had three rooms and asked to keep our bags till 12 in one room and they said no...... Elevator continued to have problems
The hotel had ants on the counters. So if you left a drink on the counter for more than 5 minutes it was filled with ants. Also I called ahead to see if they had a pool, they replied “yes! We do” ok great. I should have asked if the pool was open to use. So it was closed for the season on a 75 degree day.
I just recently stay at this location and by far has been the worst customer service I have encountered in a while. Lady's at the front desk were very rude and seem like they just do not care about any guest staying at the location. The manager is the same way as she is never available. Lady's at the front desk are constantly on there phone and not noticing people while coming up to the front. Upon check out we did encounter a gentleman And explained all of our issues. I was surprised he was very apologetic and was going out his way to make things right but damage has been done. You need to have more people working that cares about your customers. Will not be returning in the future.
My stay went perfect, was in town visiting family for the new year and the location was very convenient. The front desk staff was very nice, he was also very knowledgeable with questions I had to ask. Only downside was the breakfast other than that hotel and staff was great.
Me and my father stayed at the Best Western to visit family and had a wonderful stay. The gentleman at the front desk was nice and very accommodating. I believe he is the manager but didn't get his name. Overall my stay was great and will be returning.
The front desk could not get their story straight on whether or not the pool area was open. Regardless, it is not maintained; there was a cat drinking from the leaf-filled pool when we left. In addition, don't expect a warm reception. There are many added rules, such as a hefty deposit on check-in, that makes you feel more like a thief than a welcome travel guest. In addition, the walls are paper thin. I got to hear our neighbors having relations at 5am.
We needed a pet-friendly place to stay to spend time with family in Discovery Bay. Surprisingly few options & not too optimistic. Pleasantly surprised by this property; very quiet, very nice, clean room, they gave us an extra blanket for our dog's comfort. The room was updated nicely & I really appreciated the in-room charger selection,# of outlets, climate control system. No funky old-school nooks or crannies for dirt!
Clean, decent size rooms. Friendly staff and decent location. You can walk to a starbucks, mcdonalds, and gas station mini mart. Arrived very late, and checked out very early and staff was on hand to quickly handle both transactions.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel the night before our wedding, October 28th. We booked this hotel because we were promised that we would not need to check out at 11, and were able to stay until 2pm to get ready. The woman at the front desk was rude and completely denied late checkout. My wife and her bridal party had to move to the lobby to get ready for our wedding! Are you serious?! When asked to speak to the manager, we were denied by this same woman. Her words were, “managers are unavailable.” When asked when they would be available, her reply was, “they won't be.” This is completely unacceptable! This was probably the worst customer service I've ever had at a hotel, and being a 11 year military veteran, I've stayed at hotels all over the world. Lastly, my groomsmen and I had to pack up and move to my father-in-laws hotel to get ready. I wish we would have just booked there to begin with.
We stayed here for two nights for our niece's wedding. The front desk staff was rude. We only had one bar of soap in our bathroom. No shampoo, conditioner or lotion provided. We had to ask for that as well as more soap. No option for housekeeping, we were told at check in it was only every other day. Grab and go breakfast only offered although other nearby hotels were offering full breakfast. The back parking lot was full of toilets which was what our window looked out on. I would definitely pick a different nearby hotel if I was going back to the area.
This was an good hotel for the price. Do to Covid they only offer bag breakfast which was fine. Their coffee was never hot and barely warm unless it was a fresh pot. We had a few room issues but they were handled quickly and without the need for follow-up. Our suite was well maintained and clean. Over the hotel was quiet and we didn't hear others staying there. My only complaint would be that the window shades did not close - only the sheers which allowed lights from the McDonald's across the parking lot to shine in the room all night. Room darkening shades would have been preferred.
Noticed hole in bedspread when checked in, told front desk so we wouldn't be charged “incidentals” front desk person said thank you I'll note it so you won't be charged. Today noticed charged $75 for bedspread. When called to inquire was rudely told it was already there.
Upon early arrival, I was told to return at 3pm for check in, no early check ins available. At 3pm I was assigned my room, only to find it had not been cleaned. Room two was dirty too. Third was clean.
Terribly unfriendly, rude and unhelpful staff . Do not stay here. Do not recommend. Was staying here for work and it made the stay so much more stressful due to minima accommodations and it is not a cheap price either for what you get
This was the perfect location for our group activities over a 3-day period. If another hotel had been near I would never have booked here. Working with their group coordinator was a sub-par experience. After completing paperwork, waited days before receiving a call from her to schedule a call back in a 2-hour window several days later to discuss our booking... it could easily have been handled in that first call! She must spend hours calling people to schedule calls. Then she didn't call back during that 2-hr window. Emails and additional calls finally produced a contract. I corrected contract to right info, but she still gave reservations the wrong name for our party so our participants had difficulty in reserving rooms (23-24 rooms). She told me I would have to tell all my people to ask for the name she put on the booking (over 100 possible attendees). I nicely asked her since her end only required one change to please change to what I had originally told her. Thank goodness in the end she agreed. When we arrived it took over two hours to register and get our rooms. Check in is at 3. We started arriving at 2:30. Only one receptionist was at the desk and she stood firm that she would not start checking in until 3... finally gave us the registration forms to start completing at 2:45. AND there was no bathroom anyone could use until a room was secured. Understand COVID on bathroom issue, but why wasn't there more than one receptionist? Why couldn't they bend policy to start giving out rooms at 2:30? And then the only elevator broke and was non-functional when we needed to carry our luggage to the rooms. Sigh, at least the elevator worked a few hours later through the rest of our stay. Our son looked at the form in the elevator and it had not been inspected for several years. I did give 2 stars as the rooms were OK, location was perfect, and we felt our old cars were safe. Police saw our group and said they would do extra patrol through parking lot during our stay - very nice of them!
My family has been staying here for years since we have so much family in the area but the last few times we have stayed since COVID it has gone downhill. The rooms look nice but can be a little musty since the new showers drain poorly and leave a lot of moisture in the room. In our last stay the bathroom fan squealed terribly when you first turned it on waking everyone in the room up. The post COVID-19 continental breakfast is a joke that was more similar to a school brownbag breakfast than a continental breakfast. When my wife tried to get food for the whole family she was practically chased away and I was forced to go down and get the rest of our food. Which amounted to less than 4 dollars worth of breakfast items if I had purchased them from a convenience store. The 2 keycards somehow stopped working, which we were blamed for, even though we kept them in different places away from other cards and our cell phones. We were forced to wait until the lone staff member was done with all the check ins and phone calls just to reset new cards and because she didn't properly process our deprogrammed cards we were checked out prematurely without our permission. This resulting in several embarrassing walk ins by housekeeping and a lobby staff who just didn't seem to care about us. I have had many good experiences at this best western but the price goes up every year and the quality goes down, I'm honestly at a bit of a loss.
I stayed at this hotel while in town for a family funeral. My room was clean and comfortable. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Nice size room with a sofa. The room had a coffee pot, microwave, and refrigerator.
It is new and clean with typical chain rooms. Lowered the rating for a few simple annoyances: Super cheap TP. The stuff turns into a spit wad on first contact. Also noisy, at least our room. Heard the stairwell door banging, some little box on the wall buzzed all night ( see pic), toilet ran unless you went back and jiggled the handle. One of the 2 queen beds squeaked noisily for every position change. The bathroom exhaust fan is very loud. These are all things a truly attentive operating crew could fix...hence my lower rating.
Day 1 - Couple checks into room at 12AM, proceeds to "Move Furniture" for 2.5 hours, Lots of vocal approval of the furniture moving. Day 2, - Alarm goes off in empty room at 4:00am, for 15 minutes. Day 3 - Finally get a decent nights sleep Day 4 - Power goes out in town, Heating system defaults to OFF when power restored, Woke up freezing Day 5 - Pot smoke from room next door is making me High in my room
Drove 2 hours to stay there for the jacuzzi style tub in the room. Front desk clerk (Connie I think her name was), she was extremely dry with horrible people skills( she did apologize which I appreciate but she shouldn't be at the front desk.). My boyfriend said “ hello” with a smile and her response was ”you checking in?” No personality, nothing. A few hours into our stay (8pm ish) My Boyfriend was running bathwater, the ENTIRE spout FLEW off and water sprayed everywhere. My boyfriend almost hit his head on the stairs leading up to the tub trying to turn it off. Water on everything. Thank God it was just water. We notified staff and asked to be moved to another suite. They said they did not have another like that, just a basic room. We decided to go home because the only reason we went was for the tub. If it doesn't work, what's the point. No manager could be accessed to assist us that night. The dry front girl said we could call the manager the following day which I did and was told she'd be in the afternoon. Afternoon came and when I called once I gave my name she wasn't available. I received an email from her simply saying" Please review the hotel documents" nothing introducing herself at all or apologizing for this mess. When I emailed back saying such, no response. I never received any acknowledgement from this lady, only their call center and the a bill for what appears to be $108 ( the manager messed up on that too).. for what??I bought something that they couldn't accommodate so I'm very confused why they're charging us and not trying to make this right. They said they saw evidence that we'd laid in bed.... Of course! We planned on staying and enjoying the $233 we spent for 1 night for a tub. They're treating us like we did something wrong. Worst experience I've ever had dealing with a hotel.
We were in town because my father was in the hospital. We had spent 3 horrible days in a local Days Inn, and we were stressed and miserable. We returned to Best Western where we had stayed on our last trip, and the manager, Sandra E. took amazing care of us. She set us up for 6 days (thankfully we only needed 4), and she and her staff made the stay stress free and very pleasant. We won't stay anywhere else when we return. Their entire staff was kind and friendly and the hotel itself was immaculate. clean and comfortable.
I called ahead to reserve one night stay. When I arrived in the evening to check in, the hotel clerk seemed to be irritated or just rude to me during the check in process. After I was charged I looked at the bill, it was way more than expected and I asked why it was so much, I told her I thought it was around $139 a night. She said yes and it was for two nights plus a deposit. I told her I only wanted one night. She said if I am out by 11am I would not be charged and would get reimbursed. I received a text the next morning that my contractor was going to be at my house in Oakley that I am having repairs done so I can sell it. I grabbed my stuff and was out by 9:30. I went to the lobby and waited for someone to show up. I waited as long as I can, so I just put my key card in the jar that was sitting in front of the desk. The jar had a note on it to let everyone know if they are leaving to just deposit cards here. It now has been 20 days and I have not received my credit for the overcharge. I have reached out by phone at least 6 or 7 times. Every time I speak to someone they all tell me Sandra the hotel manager would get back to me. The last time I called they gave me a generic email that they said Sandra would respond to. I have emailed 2 times without any communication back from the hotel manager Sandra. My thoughts to everyone that stays here, if you get charged extra for any reason you make them reimburse it immediately and not wait. I defiantly would not recommend Best Western Hotels to anyone now.
So so nice. We left the Days Inn to come over here and could cry from relief. The staff are amazing, the hotel spotless and safe!!!! They are so helpful and explained everything to us and how to change reservations if needed. It was such a relief in a highly stressful situation. Thanks you Sandra!!! You understand customer service!!
I would never stay at this location again. The whole process of trying to get a room block to even checking in was a nightmare. Not one person I spoke to and worked with at this hotel was friendly. Most of my guests complained about the costumer service as well. The manager is NEVER there and she is the only person who can book room blocks. Very challenging to book a room block when the manager won't give you a a call back or respond to your emails. I would have to email 3 times for her to respond to my original email. Oh, and to top it all off, one of my guests was given a room that was already occupied! So the front desk gave them a room that had people's personal belongings in them. Imagine if that was your room and some random person just walked in? Completely unacceptable! I would also like to say, I'm not that person to ever write someone a bad review, that's just not me... but i really want people to know how awful the customer service is here!
The toilet is clearly broken and was reported (see photos). The manager states this is “normal”. It was never fixed. The water runs continuously non stop day and night and is loud. I'm not sure how a hotel can operate without a maintenance staff??
My wife's brother was dying so my made a reservation to stay here on July 11th leaving on July 12th with a firm confirmation. We drove all the way down from Everett, Washington only to be told that they wouldn't honor our reservation because the Governor of California would only allow rooms to be rented to essential workers such as railroad workers. They claimed to have called us but no messages on my wife's phone or mine showed any missed call. The clerk Brianna who was black insisted she couldn't honor our reservation. Upon leaving my wife asked two black males if they were there in buisness they said no leisure. We asked how long have they being staying there at the hotel. They told they had just checked in. I feel that they refused to honor our reservation because we are white. We went back into the office asked for a manager. The clerked ignored us and called another motel to see if they had a room that we could stay in. Luckly, the other motel did. The clerk was rude and acted as if she didnt have the time day to help us. I will never stay at a Best western again and I 'm going to speak to my lawyer about filing a complaint for reverse discrimination
Stayed at another place the previous night and it was gross. Dad recommended this hotel for second night and I will always go back. Place was well kept and Carmen was awesome. First time I had a jacuzzi room and it was very relaxing.
Bugs all in the bathroom. Did not report due to the distant and stand off attitude from check in. Needed receipt at check out. 2 employees passed me, saying nothing, then came back and without asking me what I needed, dismissively said "someone will be here in a bit." No one asked how they can help. Was late to my meeting, having to wait for receipt. I will not stay here again.
This was my first visit to Napa and my first experience with this hotel. It was a very positive first visit. I really enjoyed the hot tub which helps relax my sore muscles. I rented a bicycle nearby and enjoyed a good bike ride. The room has the usual thin blanket, which is one feature I wish BW would change, but the room was warm enough so it wasn't a problem.
We were looking for a stay near Antioch, CA. Searched and found Oakley Best Western Plus Delta Inn & Suites. What we liked the most Pet Friendly lodging (Pet Fee was reasonable) including our daily rates. The Hotel was 8 minutes near family, making reservations accommodated our needs. Before arriving registration staff telephoned our family, confirming our rooms. Room was spacious, we enjoyed the couch and bed in our room, including nice size television, especially enjoying micro-wave & refrigerator. Daily breakfast with many items to choose from. In the Lobby, nice big screen TV and cozy seating. Parking area was LARGE, the lighting around the building was bright at night. Including, an exercise room and swimming pool. The entry way to Best Western Plus Delta Inn & Suites was impressive. Lobby check-in was fast and efficient, including check-out. We drove from Las Vegas, NV easy access from the highway.
The faciility and location is good for the Oakley area. The lobby, breakfast area, parking and room were all acceptable and we felt safe in the facility. The location was handy for our visit and if in the area again we would book again.
My family booked three rooms at this best western over the holiday. Two suites in a regular room. The Whirlpool suite Me and my fiancé had gotten Smelled of mold and have 1 spot light over the tube that was going away from the ceiling. This was the only light in the room beside the bed side lamp. When we turn the light over the tub on you could see a two in gap between the ceiling and the lights rim. The no pool tub also did not drain when we pulled the stopper till the next morning. The Fossett only had hot water and when you spend the Coldwater Fossett more hot water came out. The other rooms where as expected. My grandma enjoyed the provided breakfast.
Nice safe place near the East Bay and delta region. The Staff Is friendly and customer oriented. Parking lot was easily accessible and has a Starbucks and McDonald's with in walking distance. overall a great place to stay.
I love staying at this hotel always clean always awesome staff members.I stayed here four years ago for six weeks when I lost my house down the street to a fire. House was a total loss. The staff at the hotels were so nice and caring because this became our home till insurance paid for a rental. Hotel has always been a total 4 star to me. My last visit was about two weeks ago for two weeks as unfortunately I am getting a divorce and this hotel was my first choice. Once again very nice staff very clean, safe and caring. The only down fall has been the maids on both stays they are very rude, they do not knock on the door when they came in as early as they can, they just barge in. And they do it over and over again they just do not care. Very concerning It got to the point that I keep thinking someone would barge in at anytime of the day. They made me leave at 9:00sm with all my stuff when check out was not until 11:0am, and I was going to be there for three more days? So that is why I give a four, the maids need to take a customer sensativety or politeness class.
Avoid this property if you expect responsive management and a good night sleep! I was awakened by a party going on in the lobby around midnight. I called the front desk and was told if I had an issue with the noise to find the security guard and tell him. Really???? My husband had to go out and break up the party himself. The next morning I asked to see the hotel's policy on noise and alcohol being served in the lobby. I was told their were no such policies. When I asked to speak to the manager I was told the manager was out until Tuesday. I called on Tuesday morning. I was told the manager only works weekday morning. Well, its Tuesday at 9:45 AM. Seriously????? The manager NEVER called me back to respond to my concerns, but over a week later I get an email. No personal message, no apology, no explanation of any kind. Just an invoice saying $70 had been credited back to my credit card due to "challenges". That was just too little, too late! Shame on you Best (WORST) Western! I am sticking with Hilton!
We used this hotel for our wedding room block. It was disappointing from start to finish. They honestly couldn't get anything right. They didn't return emails, they were rude on the phone and in person, they lied about bookings and made up that I went on a tour with them, they lost peoples reservations leaving my guests scrambling, they booked and charged people for both nights who only booked one and much more. I would never, ever recommend this hotel to anyone.
Our room at this hotel was clean, nicely updated, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. Checking into the hotel was a bit slow but checkout was easy. The one notable "issue" we had was with the staff members at the hotel's breakfast buffet. They were much more interested in chatting with one another than they were in doing their jobs. As a result, garbage was overflowing, the tables were dirty, and many items in the buffet needed restocking, but they couldn't be bothered to interrupt their conversation to attend to the food or the guests' needs.
good service, helpful staff, clean rooms, and healthy breakfast options. easy access to freeways and food in the town. maid service was optional and got rewarded if not used. pool and gym was always cleaned.
Hotel is very nice, very clean and staff is friendly. Service was great. This is my third stay at this Hotel and will stay here for future events in the area! They have a decent size swimming pool. Free continental breakfast every morning. Parking is fairly secure with a fence around most of the property. Their is a Starbucks and McDonalds in walking distance. As well as other food places just a few minutes drive from the hotel. I would recommend to anyone staying in the Oakley area.
Tub Drained clogged, There was hair in my suite bath tub General Manager Sandra Espinosa was very rude and disrespectful to me after reporting this issue. I was only refunded $20 off my stay. Only go to this location if you want to be treated with poor customer service when you make a complaint.
Our car was vandalized during our stay. The management confessed it wasn't the first time a customer's vehicle had been damaged in their parking lot. No cameras, no guards, and no compassion from management. More like, well, sucks for you, here's an incident report if you want to file a police report. I wasn't impressed and I won't be staying here again.
I have stayed here several times. This time I was able to get the high floor facing front (facing back is very noisy due to freeway). I had requested this and was happy they accommodated me. The room was clean and the staff, while not overly friendly, were all business-like and answered any questions I had.....like can I buy water? I would say they need a soda machine out where we can get water/soda and not have to interrupt the staff.
We stayed one night at this location. We were not allowed a early check in. In addition to that my room was checked in for another guest. They came into our room with a key, while we were in there sleeping. They also did not allow a late check out. After voicing my concerns to the front desk the next morning. There was no apology given or even a reaction. I was expecting some compensation given on our stay. In addition to that, the night before the manager was running around the property threatening guests and acting like a crazy lady. I have never received such unprofessional service from any hotel we have stayed at. In the future we will never book to stay at this hotel.
Comfortable bed. Nice room. Workers were all nice. Bathroom had mildew over shower and toilet seat was loose. Pool was clean but not enough towels to accommodate the amount of people using it. Breakfast
Stayed here to be close to the bird hospital where my pet was being cared for. The staff were friendly, rooms large/clean, and comfortable temperature. It met my need for a place in Oakley and was convenient. There's a Starbucks and fast food or grocery stores within close distance. Parking was convenient as well.
The hotel is convient to the freeway easy on and off. Gas and restaurants within walking distance. The staff were friendly and helpful. The property was well maintained and clean. The room we stayed in was large and adequate for us and our puppy. There is a charge for pets, There are no shopping centers near the hotel, but down Hwy #4 about 5 minutes away there is just about any shopping anyone would want in the City of Antioch Ca. We would return the next time in California for another stay.
After many visits over several years at this hotel with various experiences, they have reached a new low. After checking in to a requested handicap room on the second floor I saw an “out of order” sign on the elevator, I inquired at the front desk and was told the elevator was not working, it only went up but not down??? The employee said they hoped to have it repaired by the next morning. I had a full luggage cart and they had no available rooms on the first floor. So we took the available second floor room hoping the elevator would be able to go in a down direction by the time we checked out the next morning. Alas, the elevator was still only going in one direction and it wasn't down! So we left our HANDICAP room and struggled numerous trips downstairs with heavy baggage. On one of the trips and while trying to catch my breath another hotel guest told us that the elevator had been out of service for over a week! My attempts to reach the manager were as successful as having an elevator that went in a down direction. And, no, I won't be back but I'll sure let everyone know why.
Yes, it really took 1hour and 45 minutes to check in. The single person working the front desk was overwhelmed by a group of people all arriving around 4pm to check in. Long line, people hanging around in the lobby. Suitcases and people everywhere. Front desk hands out wait line numbers to try to convince us they are organized and competent. It was a ruse. I counted about 10 - 15 minutes per person to be checked in. I have no idea why it takes so long. Only one woman working for the entire hotel. Then the elevator breaks down so more folks are upset and concerned. Is this any way to run a hotel? The hotel must know they have a problem. They already had wait line numbers ready with clothes pins attached. If this was a true exception they wouldn't have had them available. To make matters worse they didn't even use them! So if they can't handle the basics of check-in, can we really trust the hotel to do things like maintenance? Ask the people who got stuck in the elevator?
It is a beautiful property: Recently renovated, great mattress, nice breakfast choices. It's wonderful to have coffee and tea available 24/7 in the lobby as well as freshly baked cookies in the evening.
Problem with ants but the rooms were clean. The hotel could use updating. The breakfast had a lot to be desired. The yogurt was warm. The oatmeal was instant and there were very limited healthy options.
From the first day that we checked in it was great service checking in and once walking into the room it was clean and tidy. For the most of the stay it was very quite and not a lot of noises. And every time we would walk in and out of the hotel we were greeted from the front desk. Highly recommended to stay.
The hotel smelled fresh and clean when we entered the lobby, and our suite was amazing. Spacious, nice and clean with the most comfortable bed and pillows. My younger son even liked the pull out sofa bed. We'll definitely rebook again when coming up to visit family members.
The 2 nights were very pleasant. I do plan to come back to the same hotel if ever there is a need to come over to this location. Well accessible to neighboring towns & attractions. Entrance to the hotel is a bit tricky & my room's window faced the freeway, so I could faintly hear to the traffic when the air conditioning was switched-off!
The hotel room was very nice and clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was my favorite part! We only stayed for one night, but I'll definitely be checking out more Best Westerns in the future for my hotel needs!
pleasant stay, I had a hard time finding the main driveway... but once I did everything was good. the place is well kept the staff is awesome, security was on point as well. I drive a Corvette and felt very secure leaving her outside.
I have stayed here several times. Normally a very good experience. Had some minor issues this time with ants and slow drains in the bathroom. Low shower water pressure. Didn't have my dogs this visit but normally I do and choose this hotel for that reason.
Poor service from the front desk staff and even the manager. They went out of their way to give us a bad room because we booked through Hotels.com. They made this very clear, even suggesting that they could give us a better room if we cancelled our reservation and re-booked through them. Though other rooms were available at the same price, and we expressed a strong preference to the contrary, they put us in a "pet" room that smelled strongly of dog, and there was loud barking from the next door room late into the night. To make it more fun our phone rang every hour all night, and they literally hung up on my wife when she complained about it. Customer service? Not so much.
We arrived late and had a late check in at 10:30 P.M. The last thing I wanted to do was call the front desk to tell them that there were ants in the room. There were ants all over the desk area. I asked about moving to another room, however, there was only one queen suite room with a sofa bed in the hotel. There was no other room to be switched too. The overnight person was professional and offered to come upstairs to clean the area. The only thing I asked was for them not to use a strong bug spray. We had to open the window to get rid of the Raid that was used in the room. In addition, I was informed that house cleaning the next day would spray our room thoroughly and open to window to make sure that there was no odor. However, when I called downstairs to the front desk the next day after being gone most of the morning and the afternoon, the front desk person was unable to tell me if they had cleaned the room as promised and if they sprayed for ants. Needless to say, I don't think they sprayed our room as there were more ants but in the living room area where the sofa bed was located. The location of the hotel was close to the freeway and near the areas we needed to be in the couple of days that we stayed at the hotel. Usually, I am pleased with my stays at other Best Western Hotels. The breakfast a good selection from omelettes, sausage, hard boiled eggs, waffles, pastries, breads and bagels. They had several cereals, coffee, and juices. In addition, I was not happy walking out of our room each morning to the smell of marijuana emitting in the hallway. In addition, the hotel has a sign that states no smoking but I guess they don't police their guests. Another issue is the hotel has a sign that states no pets in the hotel rooms. Well as I am walking to the elevator the first morning, there was a guest with a large pit bull. I would have to think twice before I stay here in the future which is sad as I normally have good experiences at most Best Westerns I have stayed at.
If you need a place to stay in the Antioch/Brentwood area you should definitely stay at this Best Western. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant from the time you check in till check out. We will now always stay at this Best Western.
My sister recommended this place as one of the few hotels near her place that were nice enough to recommend. The rooms are nice, the staff is friendly, and the location is fairly convenient to the freeway and other amenities. It's a Best Western Plus, so that's what you get, but it is a fairly new one, so very clean and nice.
The hotel was clean and appeared to be recently renovated. It was quiet and has easy and convenient freeway access. Staff was friendly and courteous. We will definitely stay there again on our next visit and would have no problem recommending it to others.
We were going to stay here using our points. Went to check in and the girl told us that the fee was going to be $150.00 for the night. I told her that was outrageous as the room didn't even cost that much even if I wasn't using points. The most I've ever been charged for the fee is $50. So I told her to cancel it. We found another best western down the road and stayed there instead. They only charge $50.00 for incidentals. So if you are planning on staying here make sure you are aware they are going to charge for your room rate plus $150.00 for incidentals.
Thank you for a nice hotel and reasonable rates. Some of your hotels and I know it's dependent on the area...just alittle pricey. Still comfortable, but pricey. This area seems more my price range....
This was our stop on our way from Santa Cruz headed towards Seattle,We were so glad to reach this hotel after a hellacious rush hour commute. The room was very nice and the shower was good. The breakfast was typical BW Plus and okay.
We stayed here for one night while visiting family. I will make this short and to the point. The beds were so uncomfortable and everytime you turned or even sneezed the bed creaks so loud. We had my babys milk in the fridge and when we woke up in the middle of the night it was frozen solid! So i thought crap I'll put it in the microwave well... there microwave hardly heats up so i had to give him a cold bottle for bed.. not the best thing to happen when you have a baby. Then right around 630am or 7 am we get woken up by very loud people out of our room and when I looked it was house keeping laughing talking to eachother! So thanks for walking up my son and everyone in the room!!!
The staff was amazing on all shifts, the property is clean and vety pretty, the breakfast was very good and the location is close to Bart. I've enjoyed my stay and wouldn't think twice about staying here again in the near future. It's by far the best hotel in its chain. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant and stress free.
Nice clean hotel with a good breakfast selection. Glad we booked ahead of time as there was a big fishing tourney while we were there, and two wedding parties. The lady at the front desk was great when we checked in and recommended several local eateries for dinner. The morning crew did a good job of keeping the food supplied at breakfast. Good variety of foods both hot and cold.
Spent the weekend boating at the Antioch marina, and this is a good place to rest and hang-out after a day of playing in the water. The rooms are clean and updated, and they do serve basic continental breakfast. It's also just next door to a Starbucks and a McDonalds so you have other options besides the hotel coffee and food.
On Tuesday June 17th I checked My Mother and her two Sisters into this Hotel while they were visiting. They woke up Wednesday Morning to an invasion of ants. They reported it to the front desk and maids. When i found out I also called the front desk and to my surprise they seemed to not care. I contacted corporate who also contacted the Hotel and informed me that they were correcting the problem.I also received a call from management and when I tried several times to call them back they were always unavailable. That evening at 10:30pm after spending the day out we returned to the Hotel and I went up to the room to find the invasion of Ants still present. It was tp late in the evening to try and relocate three seniors in their 80s to another Hotel. I went to the front desk and the staff member seemed to be somewhere else other than work. The next Morning I tried to contact the Manager and again they were not available and the front desk worker was acting like she didn't give a damn along with bragging about how they gave me a twenty dollar credit. No what you did was slap me in the face. I contacted corporate again and their hands were tied WHAT. then they offered me another slap in the face points. As a person who travels 7-8 months out of the year and stay mostly at Marriott and Hilton brand properties I'm use to a certain level of customer service. As far as hotel service I stayed a Best Western brand in Downtown Monterey and Weed Ca both met my Satisfaction in Customer Service and comfort this Hotel didn't and couldn't compare to the other two. As for corporate they don't stand up to Hilton or Marriott. Hilton or Marriott would have handled that problem before my arrival. I seen several reviews that stated this property had Ant problems. If I had the problem after my arrival they would have handled it and comp me that first night and if they couldn't take care of the problem they would have moved me to another room or hotel and if I was out with my permission they would have moved my items to another room or hotel. I know had it happen where their was a problem with my TV and the Marriott was full they packed and moved my personal items to another hotel because I was in meetings all day. Bottom line customer service is my pet peeve and this property is horrible. I ask you who reads this to boycott this property because they won't change their ways until it hits them in the pocket because this is a problem they had before my stay according to past reviews which I wish i would have seen before I booked this room.
Stay was average, poor water pressure, poor quality high speed internet, no ac in stair wells while the elevator broke, very thin walls with no sound insulation...can hear everything in neighboring room, nobody at front desk to check out.
I stayed here for the night before my wedding, and the night of my wedding. it was very nice. I appreciated that they had elevators, since my mother and maiden of honor has difficulties walking and this was a blessing for them. Though I wasn't hungry the day of the wedding, I did eat the next day and I was happy to see they offered a pancake maker.
The room was very clean and comfortable, along with the rest of the hotel, but the best part of our stay was the service. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and kind. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.
This hotel is very modern and chic. Loved the decor, the bed was very comfy and the internet is FREE The staff was wonderful and friendly. This place is clean and very close to everything. Definitely a place I would go back to.
The desk clerk gave someone a key to my room dispute their name NOT being on the list. The manager did nothing to compensate me. Not even a discount. Then made it seem as if it was my fault this unwanted guest came to the hotel
I am in my second week at this hotel, i must say it has been wonderful so far. Location is great for me based on distance to work. Staff has been attentive, Room is very clean, the place is very quit. i personal recommend this place if you are visiting or have work to do close to Oakley.
Stayed at this hotel in the past and it was good then. But since the remodel it has greatly improved. The staff is excellent and service is great. I will definitely stay here again in the future. The new decor is very nicely done.
The Hotel was near restaurants and cafes and was an easy drive to Antioch. Our stay was good and the room and area were clean and well maintained. We will probably stay here again when we are there for the next cribbage tournament.
It was a great place to go to get away for a couple days. The service was awesome. The lobby looked new. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. I would definitely go back if I needed to stay in the delta again.
I stayed here 2 nights while visiting family in the area, and I was pleased with my room, the staff and the included breakfast. Fresh waffles, bacon, ham and eggs were more than I expected! Service was very good, and the staff seemed committed to making guests happy 24/7. My only complaint: a trashy vacant lot next to the hotel was disappointing.
This hotel was very clean and modern and beautifully decorated for the holiday season. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. For the price that we paid for our room including the great staff, beautiful hotel lobby, clean and comfortable room, and great breakfast; this was a great value! We will definitely book our room at this hotel the next time we are in the area. Also, we loved the location of the hotel as there is a McDonald's and a Starbucks within walking distance. Very cool!
Overall clean pet friendly room with comfortable beds - noisy. We were placed by an exit door. We could also hear the ice machine, and people coming and going. We did asked to be moved but our request was denied. The wallpaper was peeling from the wall next to the desk - it seems an easy fix.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We had several rooms and they did a great job to block all the rooms next to each other. Hotel was very clean. Rooms were nice, lobby and entrance were clean and inviting.
This hotel is centrally located near shopping transportation and entertainment. Hotel is meticulously maintained and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone meeting accommodations in the East Bay.
Very Good Stay enjoyed it, nice modern, hotel, very clean, great location. Especially enjoyed the Christmas Displays of Gingerbread Houses done by the Staff in the lobby. Great Christmas Displays throughout the hotel.
Brought our border collie with us this trip and the pet room was great! We were right next to the side door so it was easy for those midnight/early morning quick trips outside. Hotel is literally walking steps from Starbucks and Mc Donalds.
I booked the wrong night (Thursday) due to a computer glitch, pre-paid for it & then had to pay again for the correct night (Saturday). It was my mistake and I recognized that when I spoke to the front desk on Friday morning after I found out my error. The front desk took my name for the Thursday night I prepaid and said the manager is in at 10 a.m. and would call me back. No call back. I called again at 11 a.m. and was left on hold for the manager that never came online. So I called back at 3 p.m. and the manager finally came online and was very monotone about the whole thing. I understand it was my mistake but I paid for a stay that I never did so a little understanding would have been appreciated. When we checked in after dinner on Saturday, the front desk was very nice when I checked in. However, when I checked out early at 7, I handed in my keys because I didn't realize the kids soccer match would be done by 9 a.m. I called and spoke to the manager and she confirmed when I called at 9 that our room was still not cleaned but wouldn't let me use it until the checkout time of 11 am. The hotel can't possibly clean all of the rooms by 11 a.m. so why couldn't I use the room I paid for until 11 a.m.? I already paid for one night I never used. Again, monotone and no willingness to help me out at all. It was an okay hotel but I would never stay there again and will never recommend any one I know to ever stay there. I put "average" service because the front desk was nice both Friday morning when I called in and Saturday night when I checked in, but the manager - I think it was Linda, not at all.
I felt like a VIP and in a beautiful and safe environment. Lots to choose from at breakfast and in a large open room. Staff very friendly. I shall go back if the chance comes up for me to travel in that area again.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay there the next time we are in town. Staff was very nice and ready to help with anything we needed. We did not eat the breakfast so we can't comment on it.
Stayed here after being booked by my company, I didn't know the area but hotel is back off the street with very little noise. The interior of the hotel was honestly the nicest BW I've ever been in. Check in was easy and Jenny was helpful and courteous. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was okay, not the greatest nights sleep but I've has worse. The bathroom is nice and big and the water pressure is adequate. No café or bar in the lobby. Free breakfast in the morning was average in comparison to other hotel chains free breakfasts. Coffee, juice, eggs, waffles, cold and hot cereal, muffins, yogurt etc. I would most definitely stay here again. Warning: I arrived late in the evening well after dark and was excited that a parking spot right up front was open. Being late and tired I didn't really pay mind to being parked under a tree. Not sure of the type of tree but they should really consider removing them from the parking area. Overnight the tree let loose on my truck with so much sap !! It looked like a maple syrup bottle had exploded over my truck. Had to make a quick trip to a carwash before my meeting. Luckily the sap was still wet so it came off easily.
The rooms were very nice and clean. The bed was so comfy. We enjoyed our stay. The air conditioner worked great. It kept the room nice and cool. Wish we had thought to bring a bathing suite, the pool looked wonderful.
Oakley is a rather rural area, however, this Best Western is extremely clean, beautifully decorated and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again. Easy access, right off the freeway. Just try to get in before dark so that you can see where your are going.
Came for a wedding weekend, and was extremely disappointed by how the staff handled a situation that should have been very easy. Booked one night online months in advance. On the week of, I called the hotel to book an additional night. Said they couldn't help me, and to call the BW headquarters. Called them, and they couldn't help me either. By the time I had called these numbers 3-4 times each, they finally figured it out, and the hotel assured me I had a new reservation for two nights. On my drive to Oakley from LA, I had an itch to call the hotel and make sure my reservation was okay. Sure enough, it was not. The woman who had updated my reservation, didn't input my contact information on it, and it was left blank. The other manager had cancelled the blank reservation altogether and let me know that the hotel was now totally booked out for the weekend. The best she could do was put me on a waiting list. Luckily they had a room available by the time I arrived in Oakley and I didn't have any further issues. The hotel served its purpose for me, but I wouldn't reccommend it to anyone. I won't be bringing business to Best Western in the future.
stayed at this hotel for a wedding we had a lot family staying at the hotel, we were shuttle to the wedding venue and back to the hotel the rates are very reasonable. I would stay here if I'm in the area again.
Quiet hotel off the delta with good freeway access for business travelers. Clean rooms and nice staff. Used a lot by utilities for traveling employees. The lot tends to fill quickly with large work trucks. Brentwood is about 10 minutes away with a good selection of restaurants.
Nice newish hotel located in a pretty quiet area. Problems we had were twofold. First there was an absence of maid service for our stay. That actually wasn't that big a deal. What was unacceptable, however, were the partying guests in the lobby/lounge area both nights of our stay. They raged until well past 2:30 in the morning. Where was the front desk/management/security?
Hotel is very near off ramp to highway, so that is convenient, but a little noisy if you are sitting outside by the pool. Beds are excellent and the breakfast was very good with a variety of items, including hot items like eggs, waffles and oatmeal. Specific dietary requirements may be accommodated on request..gluten free, etc. We stayed in the Queen Suite room, which includes a completely separate bedroom with door and pull out couch for sleeping. Beds are linens are top notch. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.
Good location, great value and nice staff. Recently remodeled I have paid a lot more for rooms that were not as clean and spacious as this and everything worked fine. I do have to agree with some other reviews that mention that the walls appear to be a little on the thin side.
I made a reservation online prior to checking in on Best Western's website. Admittedly, I made a mistake in the reservation, I reserved the wrong date, and when I went to check in, the front desk and I discovered the mistake I had made. My family and I ended up staying there that night for an increased rate, and I requested to cancel the mistaken reservation at check-in. The manager told me that she could not cancel my reservation there at the hotel, instead I had to call the 1-800 number on my confirmation receipt in order to cancel. I said okay and called the number. Once discussing with the corporate office, the final decision is actually left to the individual hotel management itself. Corporate reached out to this hotel and indicated my cancellation request so that the hotel could reach back out once they had made a decision to either cancel and refund or charge me for a night which I already indicated I was not going to use more than 30 days' prior. Hotel never contacted me, lied to the corporate office saying they had contacted me and charged my card $130. So neither corporate office can help you get your money back for a night in which you did not stay or use, which they had 30 days' notice that you would not stay or use the night. If I had known at the time of check-in that this was the case, I would have taken my business elsewhere. Congratulations on stealing $130 from me. You will not get my or my family's business at this Best Western or any other. Do not stay here. I will also report to California Consumer Bureau to see if there is anything that they can do, as well as BBB.
Had a do a business trip and stayed here for a night. The place looks new and everything was great, room, pool, breakfast. The staff was kind of slow, but I guess since it wasn't too busy they kind of were doing other stuff and not at the desk a lot.
Overall staff was friendly and welcoming. There were a some issues, shower got plugged up, room fridge froze our drinks. Pricing was a little high for the quality of the hotel. The second night of our stay there was no parking.
We arrived early and the hotel staff was very accommodating with an early check in. This made it much easier for the group we were traveling with and they made every attempt to keep us close together. The rooms were very clean, large and comfortable.
Great breakfast but the lighting in the room was not bright enough The air conditioner was not working to turn down so nit so cold. Then turned off toooo hot The girl at checkout could not figure how to cut the bill and process in four totals
Our stay was very enjoyable. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was recently remodeled and is very nice. Breakfast was good and staff friendly. The only issue we had was a fish hook was stuck in the carpet. Luckily we found it before anyone stepped on it. The staff didn't really seem to care when we told them, but maybe they don't know how sharp those hooks are. Otherwise, everything was good.
This location is very modern, super clean and has friendly staff!!. They did have a bit of an ant problem. Its a bit away from restaurants and stores it still is a good value for the price. I had an issue with my room having a weird smell and was not able to move to another room because they where full and booked for the next 2 weeks. I still didn't mind staying because the rooms are really nice. Staff seems all over the issues and concerned for your satisfaction.
If you like beds that are like concrete, rude front staff, ants, and a not great "environment" this is the hotel for you! I came here for a family event, and probably should have done some research before just going where the group went, the good news is I never have to stay here again.
We enjoyed this hotel very much. The rooms were large and beds and linens very comfortable. Great service, too. There aren't a whole lot of services adjacent to the hotel; mostly fast food, Starbucks , gas stations. But perfect for a weekend base.
Recommend this hotel for good value for the money spent. Hotel is clean, comfortable, staff is friendly. Will return when we visit family in the area again. Our hotel of choice for this area. Thank you!
We had a very good time on our stay at the Best Western Delta Inn and Suites, in Oakley, Ca. We were welcomed from the time we checked in till the time we checked out. The ease of taking care of our pets with a room right by the pet area was very helpful and accommodating. The week end breakfast was very good with all the items we appreciate and enjoy. The whole stay was one of the better stays I have had in the Best Western hotel chains.
had to work in area I prefer best westerns, room and area were clean, staff were friendly and helpful only draw back no restaurants around area only three fast food places had to drive about ten miles to find a restaurant but I would stay here again
It was a nice hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly desk staff. Easy check in and check out. Easy access off freeway. Nice breakfast with many more choices that other hotel breakfasts. At 11pm the first night when I realized I had lost my phone charger on the plane, I went to the front desk and asked if they by chance had any that other guests had left. They did, and I was set up for the night. I returned it in the morning and bought my own for the duration of the trip. I needed it to be charged so I could use it to get to my conference the next day. During my trip, I also needed tape, scissors, sewing kit, all of which the front desk gladly provided with a smile.
This is a very convenient place to stay when visiting the area. The rooms are extremely nice with comfortable beds. The staff is helpful & friendly. I would recommend this BW to anyone who is traveling to Northern California
The Hotel is right off the Highway 160 as you come into Brentwood. It is a safe, quiet, clean hotel with the employees being very helpful, and concerned with your needs. The location is perfect when we visit the area. I am disabled and the front desk and all others are always ready to help me with any needs I have.
My husband, mom and I traveled down from Sacramento and stayed the night on 6/9/17. The hotel was very nice and clean. We had a nice stay and the hotel was very quiet that night and the beds were SO comfortable. The best I have had in a long time. Breakfast was very good too.
Easy check in and a quiet spacious room in spite of being next to a freeway. Coffee available in the room along with a fridge and small microwave. Breakfast was generous with multiple choices including cereal, yogurt, waffles, eggs, bacon, toast and juices. My only complaint was the sounds... like boxes being moved around and carts rolling across the upper floor most of the night. No explanation from the desk clerk in the AM.
We stayed 2 nites. The staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the bed comfy. Good breakfast. We had the King suite that had a sofa to sit on while watching tv. The pool wasn't opened yet but there was a patio with table and chairs to sit outdoors.
This hotel is very clean, spacious, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The continental breakfast had a nice breakfast selection and the cookies in the evening were just what we needed to curb an evening sweet tooth. Thanks to all of the outstanding staff!
There was not a lot to do in this town, so I had relatively low expectations for the hotel. That said, I was incredible surprised by the hotel, our room, how big our room was (the Suite), how comfortable the bed was, and overall experience. I will say the hotel is next to the freeway so there is some noise, but not bad. The only other thing to note is that on Sunday's they host the church on the facilities, so do not plan to sleep in past 9:00 on Sundays if on the second floor.
I travel for work and find my self in hotel rooms 3-4 nights a week. I found this to be a nice hotel. The rooms feel recently remodeled. Staff was friendly and helpful. They do offer a free breakfast. I would stay here again.
Awesone experience, love this place, staff was very professional and helpful, will stay here again! Jacuzzi tub room was fantastic! What more can I say to fill up 200 words?!?! It was great! Thank You!
The check in was smooth the rooms were very nice and clean. The ability to get a pet room was wonderful. The location was close to a highway in order to get from place to place. We left the room early every day and when we returned the room had already been cleaned even when we were back in 4 hours.
This hotel is just 5-10 miles from the Pittsburg/Antioch area and even though it is located next to Highway 160, it is quiet. Access to the Delta region, too. Friendly staff, plentiful parking and right next to several fast food options and a Starbucks. Just a couple a minutes away, there are several grocery stores and restaurants.
I had to stay here for a family funeral. It was last miniute of course and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They also signed me up for a points card which I will use. My daughter and I stay in Disneyland at best Western so that will come in handy.
I stayed 7 days and 3 days without internet. The promise that it was being fixed and told to call internet provider myself to trouble shoot the problem. I didn't feel that was my job. The last day there was no TV cable in the morning and I was told repair man would be there sometime the next day.
Good location for my needs, the hotel is a good value for the price. Having a complementary breakfast is appreciated . The staff is friendly and helpful when needed . MacDonalds next door if I get hungry late at night
Overall experience was nice. Rooms were nice and the decora had a. Ice warm feeling. The freindliness and helpful staff made the stay a lot more enjoyable. The gym had. I've equipment and was very clean.
Perfect for a quiet getaway to relax in the hot tub n cozy up with your partner breakfast is great with a wide selection and staff is oh so willing to help your stay be as comfortable as possible love it
We had very good service at this hotel. The staff was extremely kind and professional. Our room was spacious and clean. Easy access to the freeway yet still nice and quiet. The breakfast that was offered had a good variety of hot and cold items. You won't be disappointed.
good location, clean room, great staff, but noisey if your in the back because of freeway traffic. Breakfast was just ok nothing extra but the girls that serviced the breakfast were especially nice and helpful
when I arrived at the hotel I was surprised to see how clean the inside was. it was like my home away from home. with fire place and excellent staff. when I got to my room 317 I was amazed how clean the room was and how good it smelled not like prior hotels witch had a smell. the next day when I came back from being with family I wound my room in excellent condition and like I was never there the housekeeping staff do a excellent job and above and beyond to make it feel like home .
I used this hotel so I could attend my son's wedding and the staff made the stay so stress free it made the wedding even better, from the check in to check out. I worked for Hilton Hotels and tried to get our wedding party with them but they were not friendly nor helpful I am very glad to have stayed at Best Western. Thank you.
Had to stay close to Antioch for my brother who was in surgery the Kaiser Antioch. This hotel in Oakley far exceeded my expectations. Great gym, pool, newly remodeled facilities. Nice decor, close to Antioch and relatively inexpensive.
Our family of 20 stayed here while attending my daughter's wedding. Asked for 2 queens ended up with 1 king and a sofabed. Toilet ghost flushed which I reported the morning after our first night. It was not repaired while we were at the wedding for 6 hours. Reported it again at check out. Travelled with my 87 year old mother. Tub shower was not accessible due to absence of grab bars Breakfast was good with eggs, bacon or ham, waffles, bagels, toast, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, fruit. Location is down a narrow alley used by big rigs going somewhere. Had to stop to let big rig turn left as there was no room for us to pass each other.
This motel is in the middle of nowhere. There is an Arco station, Starbucks and McDonald's immediately adjacent, but other than that, you are in the middle of a field. The staff at desk were friendly and efficient. The room was clean, but it smelled of disinfectant. There is no closet, but a cabinet with hangers that could not accommodate a longish dress. The toilet seat was askew. Our room faced the drive-through McDonald's and I could hear bass sounds from cars playing music too loudly. The heating/cooling system is a wall unit that was difficult to control. It was either too warm or too cold. There is a breakfast provided, but I didn't get down in time. The accommodation is sufficient, but sterile.
Newly remodeled, very nice hotel to stay. Very convenient to family and events. The parking was easy and the access to the hotel was easy. We stayed at this hotel before and the new remodel was really nice.
The customer service at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Oakley, California was excellent. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. Our room was ready at check-in and was well appointed. The hotel is an excellent value for the money.
We have stayed here many times. It is always clean and they do have some pet rooms. My only issue is lack of available rooms but that will not keep me from trying to get a reservation. The staff is exceptional and the grounds are well kept. Money well spent.
I took my sister with me on a this trip. We both smoke and were surprised at the nice smoking area provided by the hotel. It was clean and away from all other guest. It was a great visit to the area to be with my brother and to see another sister. It was wonderful to stay at this location. Will do it again. I did stay here about 6 years ago and my wife was alive and she really liked this location as well.
Clean, quiet, everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Close to coffee, eats, and freeway access. Fan in bathroom came on with light and was pretty loud (rather obnoxious for those using bathroom in the middle of the night and not wanting to wake those sleeping... lol). Temperature control for a/c had odd settings. Wanted cool air, but heat kicked on if raised too high, so it got kinda cold with the air on all night. Lots of light coming in from around door and peep hole, from microwave, clock... noisy fridge going off and on, so if you need a dark room, be prepared to block and cover. Stayed two nights, housekeeping didn't come in after the first night. These might just be my own personal idiosyncrasies, still a very good place to stay. Rates very reasonable.
Everything was nice and clean. Loved having four pillows to myself. Breakfast was the best I've had in a hotel. Good Coffee. Liked the sitting area and being able to watch the Olympics in the morning. All of the staff were very helpful and nice. These people deserve a raise.
The Pool only stayed open until 9pm and the Noise level of the other guests was out of control and the night shift person at the front desk did nothing to resolve the problem. In the morning the Morning person on shift was aware of the last nights disruptive activity by the other guests and she said there was nothing that could be done about it because the lost their night security. And pretty much said Too Bad, So Sad! I wont be staying there again!
This hotel has recently been acquired by Best Western. It is spotlessly clean and staff are professional and friendly. Our room was quite large, in a quiet location at the end of the passage, there was a good television, spotless bathroom, plenty of towels and fresh smelling bed linens. Air conditioner was okay, typical, could have been quieter, that is why Sleep Quality is rated Very Good but not Excellent.
The Best Western Plus Delta Hotel in Oakley was in the final stages of remodel when I stayed there. The staff was helpful and caring. Parking was challenging, I think largely because of the remodel. The rooms were nice. The location is right by the freeway, there are a number of food options within easy walk.
Great staff, pull out sofa helps with young grandchildren, nice breakfast...average pool. It seems like there is a little more upgrading they are doing in the lobby. Best value in Antioch area! Every staff kind and helpful...
Recently we moved from area. We return to visit family often. This has become our home away from home. Each visit we are treated warmly and respectfully. The rooms is clean. Breakfast good. I have been excited each visit to see the renovations in the lobby especially the fireplace.
We had a handicapped room and I guess they were still remodeling and gave us a room where the shower bench hadn't been put up yet. We left till 7:30 came back it was in a 100 pieces with tools all over shower floor. The guys took off and when they came back after lunch it would take an hour or so to complete! WHAT? Not acceptable so we moved Grandma from that room to another. Our 2nd room was to be ready at 3pm and still at 4pm not even close to being done! Breakfast, all I can say there is a McDonalds and Starbucks in the co-existing parking lot!!
So from moment I booked I wasn't ab know exactly to cancel for any reason, even an unexpected emergency. Was charged at booking, which was fine but then charges reversed and recharged by best western on morning of my trip. Got to hotel, which was under construction inside so front desk was in a small office. Was told I had to give a credit card, and $150. Hold deposit. I was furious. Why I adjed? Because I booked a pet friendly room, which I didn't and it's hotel policy for all guests to require a deposit for damages. Several other family members were also at this hotel and didn't have to put a deposit down. After more investigation, they booked directly from best western, not a 3rd party site. So my opinion is that because I am thrifty, I must pay more upon arrival. No email from best western prior to my arrival stated a deposit, so I was caught off guard. Room was nice, hardwood floors great since allergic to wool in carpet. Breakfast was typical and spa was out of service. Amenities for fitness and pool short times. I've never had this kind of experience from a best western before or from any hotel using this site. No my deposit could take up to 10 days to be reversed. Not a happy customer. Julie
I am a fisherman and love to fish the California Delta. I usually fish out of Russo's Marina. This hotel is the first Best Western I have stayed in for many years and I was really surprised. It is very similar to a Hampton Inn or LaQuinta Inn. Very clean, nice comfortable rooms. It also has a new look to it. The beds were comfortable and it was quiet. The breakfast was typical of what you would get at similar hotels. Not bad for free. It is close to a few nice restaurants and I will definitely stay here the next time I visit the Delta.
First time at this hotel. Was very dissatisfied. The breakfast bar was okay. Pretty normal. Nothing you wouldn't get at another hotel with continental breakfast. The place is being renovated, but didn't really cause a problem. Had to put a deposit of $150.to cover for any damages that I might do. How ridiculous that was. Been traveling for years and this is the first time I have ever had to make a damage deposit . And I'm even a Best Western Awards member. Pool is small. 3' at one end, 4' at the other end. My grandson said, "Well, it's a pool." Front desk personnel are really great.
We found this hotel exceptional for our needs All the construction is gone- the lobby looks fresh and clean The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fantastic- much more than a continental- you could even make waffles!. Clean quiet rooms. The grandchildren want to come back-they had so much fun in the pool...
A great hotel, came down to visit family, the hotel was close to places to eat. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. Danielle, the Manager gave great customer service, and even gave my son a goodie bag for the room. She was friendly and knowledgeable and my wife had a great conversation. with her. The continental breakfast had a wide range of food and beverages. Will stay here again.
Worst best Western I've ever stayed at, hotel staff was pretty rude and not very accommodating the elevator will take three years to come to the first floor when you walk up to the lobby it's almost as if though you really do have to ring the bell to get someone to acknowledge your presence. the laundry facilities are a joke and I will never ever come back here
Very good experience! The room was large and comfortable. The staff was helpful and understanding when I had to adjust the booking on the day of arrival, changing from a king to a double. The breakfast was good, although the staff was a little slow keeping things full. We had several members of a wedding party staying here and all were satisfied with their rooms. Some had been here before and recommended it. Stayed May 12 and 13.
Excellent room and amenities, a most pleasant surprise. My first time at a Best Western. I was familiar with the hotel having stayed there since its construction in 2002/2003 and have watched it slowly decline under two previous owners, and was not familiar with Best Western. But Best Western has done a complete remodel, and in my humble estimation the room quality and amenities exceed Hampton Inn as well as many of the 3 and 4 stars hotels I've visited.
The grounds and rooms were clean, the lobby was impressive and comfortable to relax in. The employees went out of their way to make your stay very nice. The bed was a bit too hard for my liking but in good condition. I recommend this Best Western for the convenience of the location to the Antioch area avoiding the high traffic of Highway 4 congestion.
Looks ordinary from the outside, but inside is nice, and completely renovated. Did not get to sample the breakfast. Our requested wake-up call at 5:00 never happened. We stayed there because of its proximity to Kaiser Hospital in Antioch.
The hotel was relatively new and the external appearance was fine. With the overall quality of the building things could be done easily that would make staying here extremely enjoyable. The staff could be more attentive to details. Coffee was allowed to run out or get cold. The air conditioning was noisy. Changing the reservation, even slightly, should not have resulted in staff being confused about how to handle it, getting different stories from different reception people. There was outside construction on the building and construction workers were allowed to work right outside my window as early as 6AM one morning. Complaints about this were met with apathy. Because of the convenient location we tolerated the experience.
Lots of partying going on, especially over the weekend, but the worst was on a Monday night so you take your chances. If a good night's sleep doesn't matter--then this place is for you. Security will check on something once, but then it's up to you and or you live with it. When we complained at the front desk, we were given free soft drinks.
This hotel was recently renovated and is looking top notch. One of the best features is the proximity room key. No more having to reinsert the key to unlock your door. Just wave the key card and it unlocks your room. The breakfast was okay nothing special. I had great night sleep and the staff was very friendly. Both McDonalds and Starbucks are within 100 yard walk which is a huge plus if you miss the 9 am breakfast.
Everything at this hotel was acceptable, comfortable beds, clean rooms, refer, m/w, desk, etc. Friendly staff. The only complaint I have is the breakfast. Limited items and low quality. The scrambled eggs and thin sandwich like ham was almost not eatable. Some guests threw out their eggs after tasting them...they were grainy and did not even taste like real eggs.
The pros: The hotel has a great location. Near freeway, gas stations and restaurants. Very clean and modern. The cons: Walls are thin so the noise level to adjoining rooms was more than I wanted. Tubs are small!
Wifi was not working inside the room. Staff, and General Manager did nothing to remedy that except for an I AM SORRY. Room rate did include inroom wifi. I was seekeing compensation but at least maybe a one hour later checkout. It was denied. They just did not care. General Manager was very rude.
Upgraded accomodations with new beds that are very comfortable. rooms are very large. Staff friendly, accommodating and enjoyable to be around. They were efficient in everyway. We had a large party for Memorial service and this hotel and staff made a great environment for us. We gathered, played cards, served food... When it we were too loud, they simply prepared a different room for us so that we wouldn't disturb other guests vs just asking us to retire to our rooms... We all were very impressed with the service, rooms, and staff... Highly recommend... thanks Sandra and Danielle for all your hardwork, so very much appreciated...
I was very satisfied with the room but the front desk have some seriously unacceptable social issues. On check-in I was told I have to leave an authorization of $150 should any damage was done to the room including smoke damage. Neither my wife nor I smoke or drink. On check out I ask the front desk to clear the $150 and was told I will receive notification in 2 to 3 days after they check the room. I insisted it be released now. They did after a long protest but they told me all hotels do this. They should not judge a man by his colour. I know all hotels do have these rules but on check out all is cleared. I've traveled all over central America, the Caribbean, most Asian countries, Canada, many US cities. Lucky for me, a fool is talking but it is not a fool listening.
The staff was excellent. There was a large group of us and they went above and beyond for us. They gave us a meeting room so we could all be together. It's located close freeway and many food choices. They have free breakfast every morning with many selections
Best Western seems to be exceptionally good lodging and service. Our dogs really enjoyed the stay and were made to feel very welcome getting treats several times. Even though it is close to the freeway, it was very quiet and comfortable. It did seem to lack adequate parking as there were big industrial rigs parked everywhere at night. There is a large empty field right in front of the hotel that could be bought and used for parking. I really enjoyed the hot tub but it was March and I didn't want to chance getting in the pool. (Don"t know if it was heated or not.)
This is a beautifully renovated hotel. The room was large and very comfortable. The breakfast was adequate but nothing particularly special - just the regular hotel offerings. I can see why this would be a destination for groups/business. The lobby area was very spacious.
We were in an adjoining city to see a concert. This hotel was recommended to us by the theatre director. We were very pleased with our stay here. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable and it was a very quiet hotel. If we are ever back in the area we will stay here.
This was a new hotel no sign not will lighted I had difficulty finding the hotel, interior safety lighting was not totally installed wires hanging out of wall. Again it was nasty to get into a bath & after being in tub finding someone elses used soap in the tub with me. Staff was wonderful the breakfast though hot the thin ham was overcooked the eggs microwaved with a touch extra effort the breakfast could have been better, how ever I do not beleave it was human error it was quality of product served.
When I got there I was informed that there would be a $250 deposit charged to my card that would be returned the following Thursday (almost a full week later.) This was not clearly disclosed to me when I secured the room. We were told breakfast was available between 6 and 10am. I got my children to the breakfast area at 9:50 and they had already began putting everything away. All we were able to have were danishes and juice. The milk was gone, the waffle mix was gone there was no eggs or sausage or bacon. For the price of the room it was rather disappointing.
Had to pay for upgrade to the Jacuzzi room even though we are at the Diamond Level. Then found out the heater in the room didn't work. So much for romantic evening. The to top it off they didn't even offer to refund the upgrade charge! Sad....
Was charged an additional $150 deposit fee to my credit card. That was more than I paid for the room. Was not noted on my reservation sheet. Was told it would take up to a week for it to come off my credit card. I was traveling from out of state and was not expecting an additional $150 to be charged to my card that I had planned to use on my trip. Staff unfriendly and would not help at all. Also, the toilet ran after flushing and I had to take the top off to stop the flow of water. WOULD NOT SUGGEST THIS HOTEL!
This is our first time staying at this particular hotel and will probably be our last. It is almost 2 am and I am still up. We had reserved a double queen suite and checked in at 8 pm. We were given a third floor room adjacent to the elevator. Due to the location, we experienced a lot of foot and noise traffic outside the room. Also, whenever someone uses the elevator, it sounds like an electric pencil sharpener from our room. As the night wore on, the traffic ceased to a minimal, which was manageable. Due to recent renovations such as brand new carpeting, the room was VERY dusty and emiting strong brand new carpet smell. When we first entered the room, the windows were closed, thus trapping the off-gassing fumes inside even more. Within a few hours, my three young children started sneezing, coughing, and had runny nose and watery eyes. I opened the window to get fresh air, but the fumes lingers. I was also concerned about mosquitos because the window lacked wire mesh. I gave the kids Benadryl and they were finally able to fall asleep once their stuffy noses subsided. Aside from the above issues, the room is spacious and nicely decorated. New bathroom tiles. The bed is a bit lumpy and not too comfortable. It will be 3 am soon, but I am too agitated by the dust and fumes to fall asleep. I am waiting for sunrise so we can finally leave this place. I can hear trains outside the partially opened window. Please let it be morning already. This is pure misery.
The hotel is conveniently located for our purpose. The room is comfortable but hotel employees (front desk) are not physically available most of the time. A front desk employee appears to not have proper training on how to do adjust existing guest invoices.
the lobby was under construction so that is why I did not give them an excellent but i got a great deal on the room big tub for only 98 a night great price. I will be staying here again. the staff is friendly and likes to talk.
Extended stay while our house was being repaired. Property only under the BW flag for a week or so when we started our stay there. The property needs work, and is not up to the BW "PLUS" standards. If opt to stay here, don't plan on watching TV, as the remotes are an engineering disaster. (Movie scripts could be written on this subject!!) The help was pleasant, and the breakfast was mediocre as expected.
I have stayed in dumps and penthouses and NEVER been charged an up front deposit when giving my credit card. Also the rooms should be under $100 not $119 per night. Will stay in Antioch in the future.
Stayed at this hotel after a wedding in Brentwood Ca. There are only a few hotels locally. This one had good reviews. Stayed in a suite with a nice fireplace, it came in handy during the cold winter months. Good looking king size bed with the pillars, mini fridge and microwave. All in all the room was fairly nice, clean and comfortable for the price which is always what is important, Updated linens and tv. Free Breakfast for the guests. Enough variety for a quick meal. Not much around the hotel as i said its in the middle of a small city of hwy 4. But the Comfort Suites was definitely comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if I was in town.
The hotel was very nice , clean, great breakfast but it wasn't as close to the city as I hoped. We were very comfortable but it took us about 45/60 minutes down to the San Francisco Bay area!! The staff was quite helpful and had knowledge of the city which we appreciated.
I have to say I didn't expect much when I made the reservation. But I was wrong. The property was clean, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They accommodated my room request with zero "attitude". I found the room to be clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable (not overly firm) with lots of pillows. WiFi was excellent, better than 99.9% of the places I have stayed. Having been in the maintenance field, I usually notice signs of deferred maintenance, Things like loose tiles in the shower or closet doors that don't close properly. Typically I find one or two items. Not in this case. This tells me management is watching things. The breakfast while not "cook to order" was very good. You have the choice of making your own waffle, as well as two items that are in they typical hotel chaffing dish. The usual assortment of cereals and beverages are also available. Would I stay here again? Yes, without a doubt.
We attended a family function and stayed 3 nights in early May. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is in the process of a major overhaul and there was construction noise during day time hours. The morning complimentary breakfasts were wonderful.
I am beside myself right now. I stayed at the Comfort Suites 2 weeks ago for a wedding that I was in. The front desk said that they could put the $200 bottle of champagne that I bought as a gift for the bride and groom, from the wedding party, in their room. I stood there as the front desk agent put a note about the bottle in the computer. A week after the wedding, the bride received a call, while on her honeymoon, from the hotel stating they forgot to give her the bottle. They said they will just mail it to her. Well, the gift is really null and void at this point. Plus, the bride still hasn't received the bottle in the mail. I called and spoke with the front desk myself and got a bad attitude from the lady who answered. She put the phone down while I was talking, then put me on hold for an extended period of time before transferring me to an empty voicemail box. I was trying to leave a message for the General Manager. Myself and my family are from Oakley, so we stay at that hotel all of the time when we come into town. I recommended the hotel to the wedding guests and the wedding party stayed there as well. This is such a disappointment and is heartbreaking to me.
