"Great value- perfect for family"

Very pleasantly surprised. Hotel was renovated 5 years ago. Room decor, lobby and dining area were clean and comfortable. Kids enjoyed pool-hot tub. Great breakfast. Will return again. Easy 10 minute drive to amusement park.

Stayed at this hotel for the last 2 years for the shake down drag race. Even stayed in some room 201 has 3 queen beds great for the 5 of us. This room was a disappointment this year. The carpet was so stained that we didn't want to take shoes off. To top it all off the air was not working properly. Had to sleep with windows open and when it was hot out didn't cool down much.When we went to front desk to let them know there was nobody there. We were not in the rooms for the day left at 7 didn't get back till after 10 you would think the cleaning staff would notice the room was so hot Still a good hotel. kids loved the pool after a long hot day at the track. The balcony was nice to watch kids in the pool. Breakfast was nice to get something quick. Check in was fabulous as we checked in around 11pm I will stay here again just hope that they will repair anything needs to be done in all the rooms and maybe update the beds starting to become saggy you just roll to the centre

We are constantly working on upgrading our lovely property and are in the process of replacing all the room carpets as we also are disappointed in the durability of their recommended brand. "Lied about the hot-tub working"

It was our 20th anniversary. We called ahead to inquire if the pool and hot-tub were in working order. We were told that they were. We inquired again at check-in because we have had experience with them shutting them down for cleaning after our call and before we checked in. The desk clerk stated that they worked fine. While I was filling out the paperwork my husband had parked the car and entered the lobby. He inquired if the pool and hot-tub were working, not knowing that I had already done so. The desk clerk got an attitude and stated that her job was to rent rooms, not pool time. We should have walked out then. We explained that it was our anniversary and that we were renting a room mainly for the purpose of having access to the pool and especially the hot-tub. She said that as far as she knew they were working fine. The hot-tub was not working fine. it was colder than the pool. We found out from other staff the next morning that management knew that the heating element in the hot-tub was broken and had a technician coming in a week or so to fix it, but had instructed staff to act like they were unaware of the problem. The desk clerk was rather nasty to us and directly lied to us. Overall the room and hotel were nice and they were clean. The breakfast was typical for hotel breakfasts. Biscuits and gravy were good. The hotel also puts a $250 hold on the credit card for anyone who is local. This takes two weeks or more to clear your card or account. They act like they can't trust you to rent a room, when they are the ones who cannot be trusted. I feel like they stole the $124 room cost by lying to us. Also as choice hotel members, I feel that they should be able to see that we have never damaged or destroyed other rooms that we have rented, and that should be worth something.

On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. I would like to say that you were not lied to about the condition of the pool and spa as I had been there all day prior to your arrival and had even asked Jon who was covering first shift that day if the pool was being tested and was good and he advised me yes, it was fine!. The young lady that checked you in normally only works two third shifts a week (the pool is always closed when she works) and she relieved him and was not told any different so she would not have known as I didn't know that the pool temperature was not where it should be. We truly care about each guest experience and it does not benefit us to give false information because we are the ones that have to feel the brunt of an unhappy guest if something is not right. We have had temperature issues in the past but they were reported to maintenance and parts have been replaced but it's unfortunate that no one communicated that it was not corrected effectively. Our goal is to give every guest as pleasant a stay as possible and I am sorry that you were not happy. Many hotels have deposit requirements when a guest decides to pay cash for their stay and even go as far as not taking cash due to unfortunate experiences from prior guests that pay cash without a valid credit card guarantee and end up smoking in the non-smoking rooms, etc. causing added cleaning expense. I am sorry you had a negative experience as far as the deposit was concerned as that is never our intent. We are not a Choice hotel affiliate but Best Western does have the only loyalty rewards program in the industry where your points never expire! It's wonderful to hear you have sons in the military and we truly thank them for their service! As a wife of an Army veteran I can appreciate their sacrifice as well! Congratulations on your 20th anniversary also! What a great milestone! I'm truly sorry you had issues with your stay. Your satisfaction is important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future. I hope that you will consider staying with us again so that we can have another chance to provide you with a superior experience.

There is nothing real fancy about this hotel but it is a good solid go to if you are traveling and don't want to guess if your stay will be comfortable. There is a breakfast included and an indoor pool. The room was clean and they replaced our towels even though we were trying to reuse them. We were checking in very early a.m. and after a call notifying them that we would be extremely late, the room was ready when we got there.

Very nice people that works there, great hospitality. Very clean place, beds were comfortable and my kids loved the waffles from the waffle maker for breakfast.. Me and my family will definitely come back to stay again when we're visiting Cedar Point. Which is only 20 min away

"Absolutely horrible and disgusting"

This was hands down the worst place I have ever stayed. If my husband hadn't paid for this room when we checked in we would have left. The only good thing about this hotel is Adam the check in guy. Best Western should give this man a raise for working at a dump. Our room was the nastiest room ever, it smelled like cigarette smoke it had cigarette burns in the carpet and this is supposed to be a non-smoking room, second it offers full breakfast and when I went to get breakfast their was no milk for cereal, no coffee and when I went to ask for these items and it has only been 25 minuets since they started their breakfast the lady who was working the dining area she was in the kitchen sitting in a corner I had to ask for milk and coffee than I went for the eggs and meat it was all gone and so was the wait staff I had to go back in the kitchen and she was sitting in the corner again and now the oven was broke so no eggs or meat, their was no hard boil eggs no dugouts, one yogurt, I went to the front desk and no one came so I was walking back to my room the cleaning lady was sitting in the utility room I asked her to get the front desk and when he came out I started to explain to him what had happened in the breakfast room, and the cleaning lady says to me we are short staff, and I said well that is not my fault I paid for something and I should be able to get what I paid for than she proceeds to tell me that I should try to run a kitchen and wanted to argue with me, John the front desk guy never once said a word and let the cleaning lady argue with me so as I walking into the stairs and the cleaning lady thought I was gone she called me names and said she didnt care if I had her name, why is the cleaning lady speaking for the hotel? Our room was nasty the doors, the carpet, the ceiling, and last on Sunday check out is at 11:00, why is the cleaning staff knocking at our door at 10:15 asking us for our towels, I told her check out is at 11, why are you knocking at our door we are not gone yet nor are we done getting ready to leave. I have never stayed at a hotel where the cleaning staff has knocked at the door asking for the towels. Please look at my pictures and please don't go by the good reviews this place has it's disgusting.

Thank you for taking the time again to share your experience. We take great pride in our hotel and truly care that each guest has the best stay possible in a clean and comfortable room and I am sorry that you were not happy as we do try to make it right in situations within our control. We also have gone way over the Best Western required standards for our breakfast giving more than is required by the brand and it was traumatizing for the entire staff when a brand new oven that is needed to provide the egg patties, omelets,bacon, sausage, etc. just stopped working on an early Saturday morning at the onset of our breakfast time. My sweet elderly lady that everyone loves that runs the breakfast was overwhelmed trying to keep up especially with guests not happy or kind with a situation out of our control. We are a smoke free property since the whole hotel was gutted to bare floors and walls 5 years ago and diligently try to keep up with keeping it fresh and clean. We are in the process of replacing carpets that have been damaged by guests beyond our control as well. I apologize that you had such a negative experience and please know this is not by any means our normal standards. I'm glad at least the weather was beautiful so you could enjoy the great Night Under Fire event you came to see at Summit Motorsports Park just minutes from the hotel. We stayed at this hotel in June,2018. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a good, hot breakfast. It is close to a Bob Evans where we had dinner. We would definitely stay here again. Friendly staff.

"Great value for CP baseball tournament"

This hotel was 20 min from CP and the CP sports center where tournaments are held. It was clean - no bed bugs and inexpensive compared to closer CP hotels. This hotel is right down 250 from Kalahari, etc. (same road). For the 10 minute difference, the price is a fraction of what you would pay. Breakfast is offered, nothing fancy - but food. They have a very nice pool and jacuzzi area though it closes at 11P so we were not able to use it when we returned from the tournament. The rooms were remodeled, but the carpeting does not appear to have been changed - that would be my only criticism. The daytime desk clerk was very friendly and efficient. The night-time clerk, not so much.

Hotel has some updates since our last stay. Our room was clean & updated. The bathroom set up is weird. Bathroom is small & the sink isn't in the same room. Beds are comfortable & linens were clean & updated since last stay. Pool was FREEZING, jets weren't on & had dirt in it. We paid money for a hotel with an indoor pool as requested by my boys for family time. We couldn't use it. The hot tub wasn't hot, just warm. When I told management they said oh really "we usually get the opposite problem". This is the 2nd time this has happened & our stays were far between! We were not the only ones complaining about it! Breakfast area is nicer than last time with a larger selection & bigger area to eat. Check in was easy & Adam was very nice. Close to stores if needed. Restaurants nearby. Will search for a diff hotel on our next visit home.

Booked room for sat.6/23 &6/24 (NHRA drag Race) Paid nearly $300 sat. $200 sun. Pulled up to notice worn out curtains. Our room was not ready till 5pm, carpet badly worn and DIRTY! Walls also dirty, lock on door not working,pool very cold,hot tub only warm.Returned sun after race to find room not touched by housekeeping.Stayed in nicer places for much much less!!

We were totally renovated just a couple years ago where the owners chose to pick the higher end design of the Best Western Plus brand but we have had quality issues with the carpet and the sheer curtains that have been reported to Best Western and many have been replaced already but I apologize that we could not get those in your larger family sized room resolved prior to your stay. Rest assured this is being handled because we truly care that everyone has as pleasant a stay as possible no matter if it is the highest demanded weekend of the year or just a simple traveler in the off season! We do hope you will give us another opportunity to make it right if you are ever back in our area! Wherever Life takes you Best Western is There!

The bed is uncomfortable, hot tub isn't that hot, swimming pool is so cold, the door in the room isn't lock, tv doesn't working. I have to call them to fix it, they did but do I have to do that? I paid 199.00 for the room plus tax, worth it? Nope...

I remember making your reservation with your husband who was so excited we had a last-minute room cancellation with the big NHRA drag race in town so that he could take you there! Check in went quick and smooth. The person was friendly. The room had 2 beds, both very comfortable! Clean linens with no holes or stains. Four pillows each bed. The room was nicely updated, but a little tight. We loved the art work! The bathroom is split...tub/toilet in the bathroom with the vanity across the walkway. Clean! A good amount of towels that were fluffy and had no stains or holes. We never had full service (our choice), but when we asked for clean towels and a shower curtain, she was quick to help out. All housekeeping staff were polite and friendly. WiFi worked well. TV was a good size with a decent lineup. Fridge/microwave as well. We did not partake in breakfast, but the area was nicely updated and large. Need to know: Elevator Guest laundry Truck/trailer parking (Excellent) Accessible entrances. (No automatic doors, and side doors, the pavement is on a slant for wheelchairs, but it makes entering a bit difficult for those in wheelchairs with needing a key, backing up enough to swing the door open....and if you have anything in your hands....difficult.) We were happy with our stay. It was very quiet, comfortable and convenient to food and shopping as well as to Sandusky (without all the hype). We strongly recommend to others!

We had 5 nights at this pleasant hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was prompt, the gym and pool handy and also clean, and the complimentary breakfast was clean and attended to. Parking was adequate.

"Great place to stay for local baseball tournament"

Front desk staff were extremely helpful and cordial. I am the head coach of our baseball team, and we were in town for a tournament. The entire team stayed at the hotel, and on Saturday night had a pizza party there. The staff was very helpful and let us use the breakfast area to eat, and accommodated us with paper plates and cups for our families. For the price, it was a great overall experience. Free breakfast and indoor pool made it very convenient for our teams stay.

We were so pleased as usual with the actual room. However, the hot tub was not working, and also the pool area was occupied the entire weekend by what seemed to be a group our young families with lots of kids, that stayed till 11pm. Not sure all were guests at the hotel. As there were coolers involved and heavy coats on chairs. Also smoking going on. Our room had a balcony. And even with the door closed, we could here them till 11pm. Did not make us feel welcome to go relax in the pool area at all. Otherwise, room was fabulous, and breakfast was fabulous!

We we were all in town for a funeral, five different family members and all stayed here to allow the kids to swim and the adults to enjoy the time together. The staff is nothing short of outstanding in help for any question or need and were very cordial in making sure every person and room was perfect. This is not the first and for sure will not be the last time we stay or recommend to anyone looking for a place to relax and sleep in comfort. Thank you to all for the happy memories, Drew

The hotel and staff were awesome! Stayed here with family for daughter's wedding. Called to ask about adjoining rooms & ended up staying in large room, which was perfect for the bride & party to get ready in. Staff were awesome...very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was hot with lots of choices and the staff kept it stocked up. Some of the wedding party and guests were at the hotel also and they all seemed satisfied with the hotel and service. Took time to use the pool which was clean and warm! The lobby was decorated for Christmas, which was very inviting! Overall, a great place to stay and would come back when in the area.

"BEST WESTERN NORWALK"

I've reviewed this B/W many times over the past few years and have always given it an Excellent rating. Unfortunately, this will not be the case this time. Having family in the area (I live in South Carolina) I visit the area every year or so, and have always stayed at this B/W based on past experiences, which have always been very good. During this visit, my husband and I found the beds a bit uncomfortable; we found them to be too firm. One of the reasons we've always stayed at this B/W is because we found the beds to be very comfortable. We also had problems with the room's A/C. We had trouble regulating the heat in the room. By using the automatic settings on the unit caused the room to get to hot, or it became too cold when cycling on & off. We solved the problem by cycling the unit manually. Also, the heat lamp in the bathroom was inoperative, but it was replaced immediately after reporting it to House-Keeping. Speaking of the House-Keeping staff, the ladies were super! Very friendly, and they kept our room clean and provided us with a change of bath towels every day during our 4-night stay. If you're wondering why we didn't ask for a new room; it was probably due to laziness. We didn't want to pack everything up with no guarantee that the next room would be any better. Will we stay at this B/W again? Probably! But we might try the B/W Plus in Sandusky next time which is a few miles up the road, but it's more expensive than B/W Norwalk and is located in a busier part of town, which means more noise. (We like our evenings quiet!) We'll see…………

"NICE HOTEL"

The hotel was very clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is very conveniently located to downtown, major high ways and lots of food, movies, shopping etc. The accommodations were relaxing, soft, comfortable with a nice TV and easy access to internet. I would recommend this hotel to anyone for business, couples, family etc.

"Nice hotel"

My bed needed a new mattress. There was a very uncomfortable dip in the middle. I had to sleep on the very edge to keep fron sliding into the great dip! A new matress would've made this a wonderful stay!

Great hotel for the price. Breakfast was good with quite a variety. Friendly helpful staff. Clean room with comfortable bed. Pool and hot tub were great and stay open until 11. Close to Cedar Point and lots of great mom n pop diners near by for good cheap lunch.

Just pulled of the turnpike for an overnight on our way back home. Hotel was clean and convenient. Lady at the front desk was cheerful and most helpful... ; directed us to a fun restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was good, predictable BW selection and kitchen staff was friendly. We would stop again if it fits our travel schedule.

We had a nice stay at this location! The staff was friendly, the room was nice and comfy, and we had a good breakfast! We were visiting Cedar Point Amusement Park and tgis location was great. It was not too far!

"Bed bugs!"

I was initially impressed with the room. We had a room with 4 queen beds, and it was quite spacious. We had a balcony overlooking the pool. After traveling from Michigan and spending the day and night at Cedar Point, we didn't check in until after midnight. The front desk clerk was very friendly. After I had taken a shower, my oldest daughter called me over to her bed - there was a bug in it. I thought it was just a bug. We pulled back the sheets and there were more. Then we checked another bed - more bugs. My husband called the front desk. The clerk said she had another room available. No thanks! We ended up driving home, arriving at 6 a.m. Instead of spending the morning lounging around the pool, I was a zombie doing laundry on high heat and trying to figure out how to ensure our luggage was bug free. Hotel management has not bothered to contact us.

I sincerely apologize that no one has responded to you in a timely manner as we truly care that each guest has as pleasant and comfortable stay as possible and that includes every kind of pest prevention. We take that VERY seriously as there is no prevention for those kind of invaders as they are hitchhikers brought in by regular guests to even the finest of hotels and have been found everywhere from taxi's, restaurants, hospitals, and more. We do apologize that your stay was so badly interrupted as no one wants that. We have had no incidents of this kind and immediately put it in the hands of professionals. Very nice, clean and comfortable hotel and room. Close to our family that we were visiting. Close to downtown and local eating places. Easy to get back on Ohio Turnpike with little traffic/construction/detours.

The staff at check in and check out were very nice and helpful. The indoor pool area and hot tub is really nice and clean and they place pool towels on each chair. There is a nice smoking area right outside of where the pool and hot tub are. The hotel has been updated and is really nice except for the carpets in the rooms. My husband and I had a room and my son and his wife had a room and in both rooms, the carpets were stained and filthy. The breakfast is really good with hot options such as scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage.

Our room was clean and beds were comfortable. Rooms were quiet - in fact, we slept almost 2 hours past our normal wake up time a couple of mornings. Hotel was centrally located regarding our plans and offered a decent rate. We will stay here again.

Never had a problem here. Friendly staff that is very helpful. Nice pool but whirlpool could have more poerful jets. The location is ideal and close to my business purposes. Restaurants are close by. Only two floors but a nice cozy hotel to relax in.

Upon Check-In, Kaitlyn B offered to let us park our motorcycles under cover. We didn't even ask. What a treat for weary travelers! She went above and beyond to make our travels extraordinary. The hotel is very clean throughout. It was a great place to spend the night. I highly recommend this hotel.

We visit Cedar Point every few years and have never stayed in the same place twice. The place in Huron wasn't clean enough, another place is booked and impersonal, another run down, another too expensive, and the last place was just creepy. But "Goldilocks" has found her perfect bed. The indoor pool was clean and fun. We had a room with 3 real queen beds! The bathroom was a bit small for 6 people. Breakfast was ok. About 25 minutes from park. Will be back.

I had a good stay the safe were all very nice, the breakfast was decent. The room was on the small size but that didn't bother me, I slept very well and was able to relax. I just wished they would have changed up the breakfast I was there 3 nights and I got tired of eating the same thing every morning.

Very nice employees! Go out of their way to help. Nice rooms.. carpet could be cleaned. But otherwise nice place tp stay. Great hot breakfast. Great variety of food. Normally stay there at least twice a year!

From initial booking to check out we were very pleased. The pool and hot tub were great. Delicious breakfast and very friendly staff. Upon check in we were upgraded from a 2 queens room to one with three queen beds. My daughters were happy to have their own beds.

when I booked my hotel I was told one price and then when I went to check out I was in such a hurry and I didn't check my bill and when I did get a chance to look at it I was charged 3 times the amount that I was told. when I called the hotel to talk to someone about it I was called a lier and that I was just trying to get over on them.. I was told that they did give me a discount but nothing is showing on my bill

We apologize for the error made when your son booked your reservation for you. When you called later and changed the number of people that were originally registered the computer inadvertently changed the rate to the newest rate listed. You were sent an email at that time also to confirm your reservation. No one noticed the change unfortunately and even when you checked in the rates were listed on your registration card and nothing was said when you signed it or when you checked out. When you called as soon as you noticed the wrong charge you were very vocal to the front desk clerk over the phone who immediately contacted me to resolve this. I did dig further into the reservation history and found your original rates and made the correction right away as well as the credit due to you. Credit card credits process through any system never in real time like a sale does even though it is removed from our end. We always advise anyone that they should see their credit in 3-5 business days as is standard with credit card companies. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for being our guest!

We recently stayed at Best Western for two nights. We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and how comfortable the beds were, as well as the price for the room. The staff was polite and ready to serve at any time. Breakfast was delicious and offered several choices. We will definitely stay at Best Western again when in the area.

Had a wonderful stay at this property. The staff was friendly and helpful. Since the assigned room would not accommodate a roll away bed we were upgraded to a spacious room containing 4 queen beds. What a treat!

Stayed there for our family vacation at Cedar Point . Not too far from the park. Hotel and staff were great. Pool was nice and breakfast was very good. Would definitely come back again. Staff were awesome.

When I called to make the reservation, I was told that the room was not really handicapped accessible with a wheel in shower but I made the reservation when they said that they would be glad to put a shower chair into the shower for me, but they did not. The restroom was so small, I could not close the door while on the toilet because I needed my walker to get into it. Way too small.

We were greeted by a pleasant staff and informed we had been upgraded from the 2 queen room we had booked to a 4 queen one at no extra charge. The room had a beautiful design to it with knotty pine ceiling and loads of room and even had its own private balcony overlooking the indoor swimming pool. The bathroom was very small, but everything was very clean and there were plenty of towels and complimentary shampoo, lotion, and conditioner bottles. The hot tub was being worked on while we were there, but the pool was very nice and refreshing. The grandkids loved it! Breakfast in the morning was great -- eggs, omelets, sausages, bacon, juices, coffees, cereal, cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, waffles, fresh fruit, etc. -- although a larger area with more tables would be an improvement that could be made. The wait staff was efficient and kept the breakfast area cleaned up and everything refreshed and full. There are great places to eat (we loved a pizza buffet right around the corner) and shop close by as well. Located less than half an hour from Cedar Point, this Best Western made a great stop for the night after a day at the park.

we always use this hotel when we go to Cedar Point. its a bit of a drive to Cedar Point, but the staff and price of this hotel by far exceeds that. plus, you won't be paying the extra Sandusky resort tax.

All the employees were very friendly and helped us with all of our needs. We didn't have time to use the amenities but the swimming pool had beautiful lighting and the exercise room although small had everything one would need. Breakfast had eggs,waffles, sausage gravy and biscuits, plus!

Comfortable and clean with a good full breakfast. Easy to reach from the turnpike. Good location with a movie theatre and dining within easy access. Great amenities and a friendly and helpful staff. Recommend it.

Stayed here for a friend's wedding in July. Good clean hotel. Very convenient to the Cleveland area. Service was good, rooms were clean, wifi good connection, breakfast was good for on the go type breakfast.

My only complaint is how hard and loud the doors slam shut which disrupted our sleep. Again staff was professional and happy! Smiling faces you can hear through the phone! The hotel itself is not a 10 out of 10 but the staff is!

Clean room in a contemporary style. Great staff. So-so breakfast (typical of hotels frequented by travelers). Pool and exercise room were basic but in good condition. The "location" rating is a bit of a misnomer - this hotel was located perfectly for my family as we were on a trip to visit family - but it's not located right off the turnpike if that's what you are looking for. The hotel has the look of a mid-80s constructed hotel that has been renovated recently. It was clean but basic. Not a resort property - but a decently priced stay when you have other things to do in the area.

We have many family members and friends in and around the Norwalk area. This Best Western was central to everyone. The staff couldn't have been more wonderful. Our room, in fact the whole hotel, was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, which is usually a problem since I sleep on a waterbed at home. If you're coming to the area I highly recommend Best Western.

"Not worth your money"

I realize there are not many options in Norwalk but I wouldn't stay here again. Rooms were small, bathrooms were so small that I felt squished in and I am petite. Paint was peeling, doors were peeling, carpet was dingy, beds skirt was filthy. The staff was nice and there was free internet but those are the only good things.

When our owners took over this property three years ago it was tired and worn out and they put a plan into motion and gutted every room and every public space and redid everything in fresh colors and high end furnishings. We accommodate hundreds of guests every week from business leaders, leisure travelers, and work crews and are challenged sometimes to bring the room back to it's like new condition and I am so sorry we failed in your particular room as we have an excellent housekeeping staff that truly cares that each room is fresh and clean. We can't control the size of the room and when they opted to purchase top of the line furnishings including microwaves and refrigerators and queen sized beds it took up space but was with guest satisfaction in mind. Please know that this is an isolated incident and not our standards and we have passed your feedback on to the owners and staff so that we can make improvements for future guests. I am also sorry it sounds like you did not get to experience our wonderful full hot breakfast that has everything from three kinds of eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy and biscuits, fresh oatmeal every day with lots of toppings to choose from, yogurts, fruits, waffles with chocolate chips and whipped cream and so much more! What a Wonderful Hotel! The Staff is Amazing! Our first night there and the A/C was not working in our room, and it was a Sunday! we were thinking oh no, we won't last with this heat. But Thanks to Victoria, she got right to work, and we had a brand new A/C unit that very night, (the compressor had actually died)! We were so Grateful! Housekeeping staff was amazing! Breakfast was lovely! The pool, although on the small side is very clean and nice! Equally nice is the hot tub! The staff was friendly and welcoming, and went out of their way to make you feel so comfortable! The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable! the only thing I honestly saw that could use an upgrade, were the carpets in the rooms. we will definitely go back!

Clean hotel and rooms. Didn't use any facilities. Bathrooms outdated and sink in room itself. Overall comfortable beds and decent decor. Breakfast was average with not a lot of selections offered. At least 25 minutes to park and more remote from action of Sandusky, more quiet. Cheaper alternative to higher priced hotels closer to Cedar Point. Would recommend for night.

We even run it until 10am out of courtesy for our central time zone people that need a bit more time! A nice comfortable & quiet location. (Rooms are away from busy Milan Ave.) Breakfast was good & staff friendly. Check-in staff friendly as well. Enjoyed talking to them. A couple decent restaurants nearby. (Try the Freight House downtown. ) We visit the area with some frequency and will be staying with them again.

The Hotel itself was very good, nice breakfast, hot tub, pool, comfy beds bathroom was small but whatever. The only real issue is trying to get out of the parking lot, depending on traffic we were sitting there for 5 or so minutes a couple times just waiting for an opening but they can't do much about traffic so again whatever.

Staff is not knowledgeable about their merchant holding prices so my card was overcharged, they also ran three different transactions on my card and I was charged a holding fee each time so I did not have enough money on my card for my second night stay so I had to check out early and drive home after a long day at the waterpark and I was extremely tired. And no one at the front desk was able to help me with my problem (neither check-in or at check-out . I was not happy with my service and I will not be staying again. But the room was clean and the bed was comfy.

Thank you for completing the survey regarding your recent stay at our property. On behalf of our entire team, I would like to apologize for not exceeding your expectations. Credit card transactions have gone through a major change this last year with companies going over the top trying to protect you and your money from identity theft. Because of all the new changes with everything being computer based and PCI compliant it appears to not authorize accounts and only tells us it declines and nothing more. It also masks what it's doing for your privacy so we have no control over the process. It doesn't show us that it has removed any funds either when it declines and gives us no approval code so I apologize if that was the case in your circumstance. We have seen this occur in the past when a debit card is used instead of a credit card and we are always willing to speak to your bank to confirm what are needed funds or authorize unnecessary holds be removed if that may have occurred. I'm glad you found our hotel to be clean and comfortable and hope you were able to also enjoy our wonderful hot breakfast while you were here! Your satisfaction is so important to us and we will be using the feedback you gave us to implement improvements to ensure we offer a better experience for guests in the future. We really care that every guest has as uneventful stay as possible and if something is not right we want to make it right!

I paid $130 for two queen size beds for a one night stay. I did not have time to check out breakfast, pool, or workout room but for just staying in the room I thought that was awfully pricey for the quality. Rooms very outdated and the room was not very clean. Carpets looked very dirty and kept my shoes on. Staff was very friendly and they did a wonderful job. Just expensive for what I was staying in.

as usual, we were very pleased. Try to stay at best Westerns when we can. The only bad experience we ever had with a best western was in Niagara Falls Ont. Canada. That one was way over priced and unfriendluy. Every other BW has been great. but this one in Norwalk OHIO ranks up there with the best.

The staff was nice. Very helpful finding local places to eat. The breakfast was the best I have had at any hotel in a long time. Lots of choices. Hot and fresh. Staff very friendly. Room clean. Bed comfortable. What more do you need.

Friendly staff and beautiful pool/hot tub area. Breakfast offered several hot and cold choices.The check-in/check-out process was simple. Rooms were clean albeit a bit small. Hotel did offer some bigger rooms with more beds.

Even though the location was about five miles from the turnpike, we were happy with the hotel. We ate at the Freight House, which was about two miles away off Main Street, and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and great food. The desk clerk recommended the restaurant.

Stayed 1 night and was very impressed with the hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and well put together. The breakfast was pretty standard for hotels but still good. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

From the friendly check in ( thank you Ms Schultz) at the front desk to our departure it was a great stay. Room was clean, nicely decorated, had a microwave and refrigerator and lovely linens. Liked the sink area separate from the bathing & toilet area. The only suggestion is for a non-slip surface in the bathtub. Breakfast area small but many options for hot or cold start for the day. There are also a number of places to eat dinner nearby. Glad we stopped and would definitely recommend it.

"Pleasant Overnight in Norwalk, OH"

Stopped at the Best Western Norwalk on my way home after the holidays. The motel has an attractive exterior and is on a commercial strip in Norwalk. The evening and morning receptionists were friendly and helpful. The guest room was clean and orderly. The WiFi was fast and reliable. The motel has an indoor pool, great for kids. The motel breakfast was served until 10 a.m. on a weekday, a rare treat for travelers, and the breakfast was a notch above most found in BW motels.

"No sleep"

No soap in room when checked in. Loud garbage truck did pickup at 3 AM. Loud generator kicked in outside room at 4 AM. Usual hotel noises started @ 5 AM. Forget about trying to get sleep if you have a room on side of hotel opposite check in desk.

my teenage children and i stayed here two night while going to Cedar Point in oct. it was fantastic. great location. lots of restaurants close, the theater is close, walking distance. the pool was nice, the breakfasts were great, easy parking, service was top notch

The hotel was very clean and conveniently located near the Ohio Turnpike. The room was nicely appointed. The only issue I had was with the hot tub water temperature. It wasn't hot. The heater did not seem to work. Having driven for 8 hours and choosing the hotel over cheaper options due to the hot tub it was a bit frusterating. A family using it was given a discount however none was credited to my room balance

Clean, friendly, courteous, small but nice indoor pool. Breqakfast of 3 egg choices, sausg/grvy; 4 cereals, yogurts, juices, many bread choices, bacon, sausage; coffee , fresh waffles. Refrigerator in room was a little noisy and disturbed my sleep but did not bother my wife's sleep. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again.

This was our second four night stay at this hotel and it was a good as the first time a year ago. Staff is hospitable, breakfast is palatable and most importantly the rooms are comfortable and clean. Didn't get to use the pool which looked particularly inviting. This hotel is also located smack dab between a Subway and Arby's and just a quick block away a great locale Mexican restaurant. Many other eateries within a nearby drive too along with Walmart if you need. I would return to this hotel again without a second thought!

We stayed here on our way to North and South Dakota.The room was clean and spacious. It had a fridge and microwave. The shower was nice, it had an extended bar to make more room in it. The check in man was very friendly and helpful. There was an Arby's next door and other restaurants across the street. Breakfast was good. I had sausage gravy and biscuits and a really good cheese omelet.

We traveled from CO to here for my mom's 80th birthday party. There were 6 in our party. The hotel was completely booked, but managed to get us adjoining rooms per my request. It was very quite considering there was a wedding party and many children going to Cedar Point. Rooms were a little small, but comfortable.

Room clean, amenities all working. Full breakfast spread. Staff courteous and helpful. Pool & workout room. Have stayed here two times after a day at Cedar Point. Lower cost that others closer to Cedar Point so worth the extra 10 minutes drive to get to this hotel. Has two queen beds in the rooms, so we could sleep 4 people comfortably. Other hotels have double beds and that just won't cut it.

Norwalk is a small little town so this is a really nice hotel for where you are. Check in was a breeze and the lady at the front desk (I think her name was Lori) was so sweet and patient with all my questions. I hadn't eaten all day and was asking for every restaurant located within 10 mins and she took out a map and marked them all for me and told me what each one served and what the special was. The rooms are updated and the beds are super comfortable. The rooms don't have that stale smoky smell that I feel many "motels" have. The gym is small, like someone else mentioned, but it's adequate if you want to get a run in. There's a drinking fountain in there so if you have a water bottle you can fill up! There's also a pool near the front desk and it looked like the kids in there were having a great time. Breakfast was pretty standard. The breakfast room was nice and clean and the variety of food from cereal, to oatmeal and bagels to eggs and sausage was perfect. One of the ladies will walk around and fill up your coffee too if you want more.

This recently remodeled BW is an average hotel. I paid $135/night which is excessive IMO. To me this property is more like a Days Inn or similar discount hotels. I guess the pool that I did not use is the reason for the excessive price. It might work for a family but not for individuals unless your company is paying the bill.

We were traveling to New York and stayed here as the midway place. The hotel is average as they go, but the prices for August while high were tolerable given the extremely high prices every where else near Sandusky. The only issue we had was the doorway to the hotel. It should have automatic opening feature because when using the luggage cart getting in and out of the building is a chore. Internet service inside the room worked very well, but the computer in the lobby where you can do printing is very slow and needs updating. The staff were very friendly.

One of the best and friendliest staff I haven across at a hotel. This property is upgrading to the new Best Western look, hopefully it will allow the brand to be more consistent. I had a noisy air conditioner and they switched my room in a heartbeat. Clean, well maintained, excellent customer service. Would stay again. just a few minutes south of 90 if your thinking of a place for Cedar Point this is a few minutes out of the way but well worth the trip.

This was the 18th year for us in Norwalk and the 2nd in a row at the BW. Nice place, close to a good Mexican Resturant, and the Summit Raceway Park. Nice wide parking spaces with trailer parking available. Very well lit parking lot. Staff is very accomadating and friendly. Hotel is clean and well maintained. We will be back!!

Found this hotel to be a good option for our visit to Cedar Point, maybe a 20 minute drive to the theme park. Hotel room was clean, friendly desk worker upgraded us to a larger room at no cost, which was an added bonus. Would recommend and stay here again if ever in that area.

I stayed for one night with my wife and our children. The hotel building is a little old but the rooms have been updated. When we arrived, we learned that we had been upgraded to a larger room with an extra bed. The room was very nice--attractively laid out and included a fridge and microwave. Staff were friendly. Breakfast selection was generous. Internet worked well. Our kids enjoyed the pool. Convenient location.

I stayed at this hotel while visiting family and Cedar Point Amusement Park in OH. I have stayed at Best Western's several times before so I did not think twice when I book this hotel, however after staying here I will never stay at this property again, nor will I ever recommend this property. Check in was quick and easy and the room was clean. However the first night the A/C did not work and we did not get much sleep since we could not get comfortable. The next morning I reported the problem to the front desk which told us that they would look into it and have it fixed that day. We were out all day and after returning 12 hours later we returned to our room to find that it was just as uncomfortable as when we left and that the A/C still was not cooling at all. I went back to the front desk and complained about the A/C and explained to the night desk person that I had reported this problem that morning. After apologizing for the inconvienence and promptly calling the on call maintanence tech, I was informed that it would be 45 minutes before anyone would be there to fix our A/C. She apologized again and told me that our one night would be compted to compensate for our troubles. While waiting over 45 minutes for maintanence to arrive I played with the controls making sure every setting was on as cold as it would go. During which the A/C unit reset itself and started to cool. Shortly after which the maintanence tech finally arrived, after a few minutes of checking over the unit and finding it to now be in working order he left and after the room finally cooled down enough to be comfortable we finally went to sleep. The next morning upon check out, I found my bill to be for the full amount. When I questioned the employee working the front desk about the one night compted room, I was informed that because the A/C had finally started to work by the time the maintanence tech finally arrived, that I had to pay the whole amount for the entire stay. After this experience I will definately think twice about staying at another Best Western and I would definately not recommend this specific property to anyone.

On a business trip to the Norwalk, OH area I elected to stay at the Best Western. While not usually my hotel chain of choice, room availability (or lack thereof) forced me to choose this place. When checking in on 7/26/16 I found the staff at the desk to be very helpful and friendly. The room itself was average and clean but the bed was very uncomfortable resulting in a backache. The following morning I found the breakfast buffet to be excellent! The food choices were great with plenty of protein options (eggs, bacon, etc.). Upon checkout the desk staff was not available - I had to wait for 3 minutes for someone to appear. I requested and received a copy of my receipt but the typical comments of "hope to see you soon" were absent. Not even a thank you for my business. Bottom line, if it were not for the breakfast I'd rate this hotel as "Poor".

We got a warm, friendly, and unhurried greeting at the front desk and were given a rundown of all of the amenities during check in. Our room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was quite small but the sink was separate and had plenty of counter space--a plus when several people need to share the bathroom. The beds were quite high and I had a bit of trouble there since I'm very short! The hot breakfast was a great treat with bacon and a couple types of eggs along with the usual breakfast items.

We have stayed at this hotel prior. Racing at Summit , this was the host hotel. Location is good for the track, close to Sandusky for wonderful dining options on the lake and night life. pool and hot tub are nice. Adequate parking for the trailer. Will be back next year.

My family of three checked into the Best Western on July 22, 2016 and was immediately greeted by Laurie (Front Desk Manager), she was very pleasant and courteous. She signed us up for the "BW" rewards program and we received an upgraded room. We stayed in Room 201, this room had 3 Queen sized beds, mini-refrigerator, microwave and a balcony overlooking the pool. The room was clean, neat and stocked appropriately. Laurie was very helpful as she provided directions to restaurants, Walmart, etc. I read another review of this exact room and they are correct that the room doesn't have a chain lock for added safety & security, There was also a rattling noise that occured every now & then. We couldn't detect where it was coming from. It didn't bother us, but it's still audible. With all that being said, it's still a great room and I would request this room again. The continental complimentary breakfast was also nice, my daughter & I made fresh waffles & they were very tasty. My only recommendation is for them to offer another meat, as I don't eat pork or beef. The addition of turkey sausage or turkey bacon as another meat option would be great!! I can honestly say my family & I enjoyed our stay at the Best Western and we would stay here again. We recommend this hotel.

The hotel room and bathroom were clean. It was also fairly modern. The breakfast was good. There wasn't any specialty gluten free items but they did have gluten free stuff such as eggs, bacon, sausages, yogurt, and fruit. Staff was very friendly. The hotel room was extremely narrow and hard to place suitcases and walk through. Overall good hotel and I would stay again.

We had a very nice room that had a balcony that overlooked the pool, and it had 3 queen-sized beds in the room with a fridge and microwave. The beds had pillow-top mattresses, so we had a good night's sleep, and we had a good breakfast, complete with choices of protein. (Many hotels just give "carb-loaded" foods of bread, cereals, waffles, and no eggs or meats). So I was happy there. But there is a problem with secure locks on the doors at this place that needs to be addressed. Our room, #201, had absolutely no chain lock on our room door, and the door didn't close easily enough to throw the dead bolt. So we couldn't protect ourselves during the night in case either the maid came by and decided to give us an early morning unwanted greeting, or in case another guest had been mistakenly been given a keycard to our room--both of which incidents have happened to me in the past at other hotels. The other problem area with door security is on the swimming pool room. The pool room has no restrictions upon who enters, and so any unsupervised 2 or 3-year-old could just easily wander into the pool room and end up drowning in the pool. Most other hotel properties have key card slots so that guests have to have a room key in order to enter the pool area. Also, when we were there, the door to the outside of the swimming pool area was just simply propped open, so again, anybody (including a curious, unsupervised child) could have easily wandered into the swimming pool area from the parking lot. There were picnic tables and chairs outside of this pool area by the parking lot, but there really needs to be some kind of fencing around this outdoor area so that people don't just wander in from the parking lot directly into the swimming pool if the door to the swimming pool is propped open. This is a liability to the hotel and should be addressed quickly.

This is a great little hotel only 10 minutes from the track. Clean, good value, and nice breakfast included, but surrounded by fast food places and a Walmart (in case you forget something) very close. The room was really nice with a very large fridge. For an extra bonus, it's pretty close to Cedar Point.

We stayed at the Norwalk Best Western while working in the area. We had up to 12 rooms and had people coming and going over a period of weeks. The staff was very accommodating and always friendly. Property is a very good Best Western. Not a new building, but with good updates. The location is good and easily accessible. The motel has an elevator. The room was solid--no maintenance issues, good beds, usual small bathroom. I don't expect a BW to be a Four Seasons, so the decor was decent. The alarm clock was old and would not set, but we didn't need it anyway. Breakfast provided a good selection of items. Wifi worked great. We did not take advantage of any of the other amenities. Service was excellent. We would gladly return to the property again sometime!

"A '"rewarding" experience"

We are part of Best Western rewards and like to use these hotels when doing a one night stop over. We chose this as a mid point on a road trip to Chicago. We were fortunate on several accounts, we got a free night based on the points we had available and we had booked the room ahead and they were almost full that night. The manager who checked us in was most congenial and gave us a map to the restaurant we planned to try. Our room was clean and comfortable. They have a free breakfast and it was well stocked. Best Western has three levels of hotels and this is the basic. They do have an indoor pool, laundry and small fitness room. We would stop here again based on the front desk service, location and cleanliness of the room.

"The Perfect Choir Trip"

When planning our annual choir trip I look for the following in a hotel: Indoor corridoors Nice free breakfast Free WIFI Indoor Pool Large free parking lot Modern/Updated appearance Good reviews online The Best Western Norwalk had all this and more. All the decor was modern and looked to be recently updated. The beds were comfortable, the rooms had modern tv's and good sized refrigerators for all our snacks. They even had rooms with 3 queens, so if you are a large family (or a group with 6 boys like we were) you are all set! Everything was clean and well taken care of and when we needed help with a clogged toilet (did i mention 6 boys?) help arrived quickly and the issue was resolved. Breakfast was one of the best free hotel meals I've ever had and there was plenty of it. Eggs, bacon, waffles, biscuits and gravy, cereal, oatmeal, toast, pastries, the list goes on! Plenty of seating in the breakfast area too. The pool was beautiful and open late enough that we could fit a group swim in one evening. Everything was lovingly taken care of at this hotel and when you met the staff you could see why. Both women at the front desk where friendly, kind, and helpful. They talked to our students about their day and seemed really interested in what they were doing. I have travelled with this same group for many years and no hotel staff has made the positive impression that these two did. I would stay at this hotel again simply based on my stay and how the hotel appeared, but I look forward to staying again to visit with my new friends in Norwalk!

This best western is very well run with friendly staff and clean rooms. The rooms are on the small side, but that is what you would likely expect with this type of property. There is a great hot breakfast in the morning, and a surprisingly large indoor pool and jacuzzi. Definitely the best I've stayed at in and around Milan / Norwalk of the similar type motels.

Close to I-80/90, and was right on our way to Wooster. Easy to find. Adequate free parking. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Good breakfast on premises. Arby's next door made for a decent, easy dinner.

The hotel was nice, the rooms recently updated, & breakfast was good. The best thing though...was the staff...super friendly, helpful, and just really nice people!! My family took over the hotel lobby, eating area, and pool -- and the staff couldn't have been any nicer to us! They were great!

We were just in town for a quit trip to visit a sick relative. The hotel and its staff were wonderful. I didn't get to take advantage of the pool, but it looked great as well. Our room was clean, beds were comfy, and the hot breakfast was terrific. Will only use this place to stay for future visits!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. A very excellent assortment of food for breakfast. There is several eating places near by. Shopping is near by. Close to Cedar Park amusement park.

The associates here at Best Western Norwalk are people centered. Our daughter's family was welcomed with their 15 month son using a pack-and-play set up for sleeping that evening!! the pool was great after a long flight to settle in for the evening. Morning food in the cafe was great for all ages. You will enjoy your stay for family or business. We say 4 stars or excellent rating!!

We stayed for a weekend; while my husband was working at the race track nearby. Front check-in was under construction / updating. Friendly enough staff. Clean enough- nothing spectacular. Seems like an very old hotel; but they have painted and tried to modernize. Best feature was they have a room with 4 queen beds- as a family of five this was spectacular!! The pool was also beautiful; and well kept. Crystal clear and clean! They do have a hot continental breakfast in the morning; and lots of food options within walking and driving distance as well. Overall average hotel but nice enough and price efficient we would return.

The staff bent over backwards knowing the condition of my knees and saw to it that I got close to my room. I had a great stay..Unfamiliar with the area and everyone directed me to everything I needed. My wife stayed one night and we saw Lake Erie.

Wonderful place to stay with helpful friendly staff! Great location which brought allowed me to get to and from my work and through town easily! There were some nice eating establishments near this hotel as well along with shopping if needed!

We really enjoyed our stay there. Room was big enough and comfortable for our whole family of 7.Staff was super nice and helpful.area was in pretty close to the Lake Erie Islands,Cedar Point, dhopping and great resteraunts.Will definitely stay there again.

So glad I drove a little way further south to get away from the Turnpike. Prices up there were astronomical. The staff was great and the room was quite nice. No property is perfect and there was some evident wear and tear, but we were not looking for perfection--just a nice place to sleep for the night. Highly recommended :-)

This hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, and I had my doubts. However, it has been completely updated and the carpet still had that "new" smell. The minute I walked into the hotel I noticed that everything was very nice. The lady who checked us in was super friendly. The room was clean though not huge. The breakfast was hot and fresh. The kids were excited that there were even chocolate chips and whipped cream available for their waffles. The only drawback I noticed is that the walls seemed a little thin, and you could easily hear people walking down the hall as well as their conversations. Overall, not a big deal. I would definitely stay here again.

This is the only hotel I stay at when I take a trip ( 3-4 time a year ) to Norwalk, OH . It is a very clean place to stay and to get that good night sleep before the next fun fill day. But before you leave stop in at the breakfast buffet.

Raised in Norwalk and came back recently to see family. There are not many options so we were limited and selected BW on 250 on north end of Norwalk. tt was everything we needed. Awesome bed, large room, friendly people, and clean pool. Will be back for sure.

this hotel is one of the very best we have ever stayed in. you can count on having a great stay the pool in warm and felt good in the winter time. Breakfast has a large selection to chose from. coffee all day and you also have a coffee maker in the room. We had a small ref. and a microwave. That is nice when you just want to stay in. The house keeping staff are friendly and very good. the desk staff are so nice and so helpful. they were on top of things right away. We stayed for 2 weeks and were treated so good. Never a unkind word to us and my family all came to visit they were all treated like they were always welcome and sometimes we just went down and talked to them about the area and different things. They were the very best. Laura a manager is one of the kindest people you ever want to know. She helped us so many times.

This was a family trip for a funeral-a sad occasion but the Best Western staff did all they could to make our stay as pleasant, comfortable and problem free as possible. The hotel is perfectly located just outside town, is very accessible for vacation activities during the spring and summer. Our stay was in the winter when everything slows down but stores, major highways and restaurants are close by.

wonderful staff that did everything they could to help us. The pool was clean, food decent and rooms were great. My daughter broke her leg the day before we were staying at the hotel. They moved our room and gave us a free upgrade because that was the only room available on the first floor. The bathroom could have used some type of vanity, but the shower head was amazing, and tub super clean. Will definitely return in the future!

This was a great hotel and would stay there again. Kids loved the heated pool and hot tub. Breakfast was great. kids loved the waffles and toppings. Beds were comfortable and everything was clean. No complaints

Very clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was wonderful and accommodated our every need. This hotel is in a safe area and close to family and restaurants in the area. The indoor pool was nice and warm. Breakfast was a delight with many different choices and very fresh.

"Just what we were looking for."

Nice place! We were on the I-80/90 Turnpike on our way back from a wedding in Jersey and stopped at another hotel just off road--WAY EXPENSIVE! We saw a sign for a Best Western some miles down the other way, and since we had time (and had previously enjoyed staying at a Best Western in Oslo, Norway), we wandered down to have a look--the extra time was well worth it. Nice, quiet place with internet for us to zonk out for the night at a very reasonable rate. It has some wear, but we weren't looking for perfection--just a nice quiet place to sleep for the night.

Bed was comfortable with better sheets and covers...funky half size pillows that are more trouble than they are worth when trying to get comfortable after a tiring trip! Good wi fi and work table....good quality flat screen TV. The bathroom was great for handicap and had roll in as well as a good sized best seat in the shower. Sink was small with no vanity or minimal flat space that usually found in a motel bathroom. Bathroom size was larger than is normal. Noisy heater but function was good. Good breakfast....super nice people at the counter makes this a place I'll keep in mind our next trip.

Our room was very clean. Beds comfortable. Swimming pool warm, Hot Tub hot. Breakfast was good. Reception lady very friendly. Bath water stayed hot throughout all the showers. Used the wasjer and dryer. Dryer dried HOT! Clothes very hot to the touch when taking them out. Kids are ready to go back again!

The Best Western Norwalk is very convenient, directly off Route 80/90 in Ohio. The staff was very friendly, the place was clean, the beds were super comfortable, and the free hot and cold breakfast was terrific. Diagonally across the street was a wonderful Mexican restaurant that we enjoyed, and so we were very happy with the location, comfort, and amenities of the hotel.

When we arrived we were greeted immediately with a smile and friendly and helpful host. Our room was ready as promised and check in was quick and easy. The room was updated and clean. We stayed here on the last leg of our cross country trip. We are glad we did. The staff is very helpful and nice. They have a beautiful pool and spa. Our room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Nice options for a hot breakfast. We would stay here in a heartbeat if we pass through again.

The motel is just a few miles south of Exit 118 on the Ohio Turnpike (Interstate-80). We chose it as a convenient stop as we drove across the Midwest. It also appears that visitors to the Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky will use it as their base. The greeting at the front desk was as friendly as I have ever experienced. The facility was quite clean. The carpeting appeared to be very new. There were no problems with the wifi. The bathtub had a non-slip surface, but no grab bar. The chairs in the room were more comfortable than average. The breakfast included hot items and waffle machines among many other choices and was well beyond the standard definition of a continental breakfast. There are six restaurants, four of which are fast food, within a few hundred yards of the motel. They include a Subway and an Arby's on either side of the motel, both of which can be reached by simply walking across the parking lots.

We were travelling to Cedar Point for their Halloweekends and wanted to stay overnight. Most hotels close to CP were either completely booked or outrageously priced. Although it was a 20/25 minute drive it was well worth it for us. The room was beautifully renovated and upon our check-in we were greeted by a friendly lady who informed us of our free breakfast and times for pool and hot tub. My only suggestion would be a soap dish...after opening our hand soap to use we didn't have a place to rest it on so counter got quite soapy/wet :) Enjoyed the free wifi and found this hotel to be very clean, friendly and priced very well.

The room was a good size and nice and clean. The wife worked better than some of the place we stayed. The pool area looked inviting but we didn't use it. The breakfast was what you expect for a continental breakfast. Checkout was quick and easy.

The staff was sincere, accommodating & friendly. The hotel was clean, renovated & comfortable. The indoor pool & hot tub had beautiful arched ceilings and the decor made the space relaxing. The complimentary breakfast was fresh & the staff made sure there was plenty available for all of the guests. This hotel was very memorable and stood out for their professionalism & the quality of service they provided making our travels special & rejuvenating.

Traveled for a weekend at Summit Motor Sports. Arrived and found we had been upgraded to a larger room-3 queen beds! It gave us so much more room with 2 kids along. (Thank you GM for that) The breakfast has had additions since we were last here. Several hot items now available. Eggs (premade, but pretty good) bacon/sausage/ biscuit/gravy, plus the make your own waffle and all the basic breads/bagels/muffins, yogurt fruit etc. Left full each morning. Kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub since it was a rainy weekend and not a lot of racing. Room was clean carpet showing wear in front of the sink. Sheets not changed during our stay, not sure if this is standard, just hope they change between guests, only thing that I question. Check in/out very pleasant and fast. Felt very safe. No nasty smells. Plenty of towels, soap and shampoo. Nice pillows and plenty of them, that was very nice. Wi-Fi worked. Would stay again.

This is a wonderful property to stay for a weekend at Cedar Point. It is close enough that the drive is no more than 20 minutes, but it's far enough away that there's less chance of the party crowd being nearby. The whole hotel has been remodeled and is really nice. The rooms were so clean and quiet. Parking was easy with numerous secure access points so it wasn't a long walk carrying luggage. The pool/spa was perfect! Pool was warm and spa wasn't too hot. Staff was genuine and accommodating, even late at night. Breakfast was EXCELLENT! Will be staying here again next summer!

Pretty to look at from a distance, but any closer inspection would fail. Traveling with friends, and both rooms were neat and tidy, but dirt, lint, hair, paper shreds etc. were prevalent in corners, along trim and bed platform, and especially between bed and nightstand. 2nd floor halls were filled with 3 cleaning carts with items spilling into walkway, and not a cleaning person to be found. Doors left ajar, rooms unfinished. Apparently 3 cleaning people walked off the job at the same time ... but that doesn't excuse previous poor cleaning jobs. The A/C unit was loud, and the "constant fan" option did not work; therefore, we were treated to the all night on/off sound of compressor. Good enough in a pinch, but not recommended.
