Prestige Lakeside Resort

Had a very special stay right by Kootney Lake. Hotel facilities and staff were great and they were kind enough to upgrade us to a lovely room too. Lots of walks to do ,places to visit and whole variety of places to eat. We had such a memorable trip, we will be recommending to our friends and be back ourselves too !!

Didn't use any hotel facilities. Stay there for a night: booked it through the loyalty program and received the worst room location could imagine. the room is designed and maintained very well, except noise and light pollution which makes impossible to sleep. There was a laundry fan that was humming the whole night, street lights were flushing into eyes, because the window blinds are just a mesh, the garbage truck pick up the container right at 7am.

Outdated Hotel and definitely overpriced. Pictures don't show the scrapyard and rail tracks behind the hotel. Rooms are old and carpet is dirty. Very disappointed comparing to website description. Definitely more in the 2 star category and not prestige.

The Hotel view on the water front was amazing. With fantastic restaurants. We will certainly come here again when visiting Nelson BC. We were very happy with the helpful front desk staff. The restaurant staff were all very professional, and told us about the area.

Our Stay was "OK" There is nothing really special about this "Hotel" to call it a Resort when I arrived my room was not ready. I was told they would text me when it was ready. an hour and a half later after taking a walk I was sitting in the lobby and saw someone come in ask about the rates for the night and get a room and a key right away. After they were finished with this person I went up and asked if my room was ready... Ohhh yes it is... (Hmm no text) Poor Service. Entering the room it was a regular room with a balcony on the second floor. however I quickly found out that anytime someone in rooms around me flushed a toilet the drain in the bathtub gurgled and some items in the room seemed to be old and not updated. I usually stay at Marriott hotels but because Nelson does not have one I thought that this would be comparable. Marriott is better !! The ONLY thing that this room had going for it was the balcony and the view of the Nelson harbor. I did not find the value at this location. It should not have the word RESORT in its name.

We loved this place. The location is perfect, facing a lake. Its a nice resort style hotel. The rooms are well designed and clean. We ate at the restaurant also and it was excellent. My wife had a massage service that they offered and she was very happy. Overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel to vacationers. Enjoyed it.

Such a beautiful place to stay and very comfy king bed. The best views from the balcony! Watching the all the watercraft come and go as well as all the paddlers, human and waterfowl. Great birthday dinner at Port 701...BEST STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING EVER!

Very nice hotel, the waterfront view is very calm and relaxing. We were asked if we wanted houskeeping every day and were NOT told that they had a green policy where you would get a $10 voucher per night to use in the restaurant. We should have been fully informed of our options instead of being asked a single question of if we wanted housekeeping. The breakfasts were very good. $17 for the regular Kootenay breakfast of 2 eggs, 2 pieces of protein and 2 pieces of toast. Small was 1 piece of each for a lesser price and large was 3 eggs for a couple of dollars more.

The view from the lakeside rooms is so beautiful! We loved the outside deck! The staff is very accommodating, the guest rooms are modern, maintained well and incredibly clean! The restaurant food is delicious! The location just a few blocks from several restaurants, breweries, and shopping is a huge plus!

Gorgeous hotel! Great service. Very clean. Loved the restaurant, they even made my celiac son gluten free French toast which we always struggle to get made for him anywhere we've stayed. The decor is beautiful. We had a lake view walk out and we highly recommend it, the view was nice, pool and dining on the same floor, with the boardwalk out front. The pool was a little chilly but nothing unusable, and a nice toasty clean hot tub. We will definitely be back:)

Nice hotel, likely would have had a higher rating from me but my room location was likely the issue I do not recommend room 108 I did not have a view of the lake, that would be much nicer of course. I had to keep my blinds closed as my window looked directly at the cars in the lot on the ground floor. But it was actually the ice machine, pop machine and loud a/c unit out side my room. They were sold out and unable to move me. The restaurant is ok for breakfast but as most hotels are they are a bit pricey, however the desk will give you a $10 coupon if you choose to skip house keeping. The room was clean and the beds we're comfortable.

We had a very delightful stay here at the Prestige Lakeside Resort. The staff were super friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The location is awesome and it was so nice being by the lake. Definitely would recommend checking out this hotel when visiting Nelson.

We stayed in the designer suite which had the best view from our room I have ever had in a hotel room. Loved the bathtub. Could have spent the whole 3 days in our room because of the view and decor but but Nelson is an incredibly beautiful, interesting place with lots of outdoor activity and shopping. We didn't shop but loved the golf courses, especially Balfour.

As a person that has the opportunity to stay with you annually, I cannot say enough about the staff and the recent renos!! Your team was accommodating and very pleasant and your recent renos are beautiful! Morning coffee on the deck watching the boats and the joggers heading out. made my morning. I so look forward to my stay every year with Prestige properties - thank you!!

Love this Hotel it is clean & has an awesome riverside Restaurant. Stayed at this place several times it is our go to when in Nelson. I would recommend this place to others on a Vacation. Staff is very friendly.

Hotel was nestled in a beautiful setting. Set on Kootenay Lake with views of the hills in Nelson and panoramic views of the lake. Check in was smooth and handled in a friendly professional way. Our room was on the third floor facing the lake with a balcony. Room was very spacious and comfortable.

This hotel is in a great location right on the lakeside with great walks from the door along the path and into the nearby park. The room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and had a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Excellent location with great service. Very professional and helpful staff. Always make at least one annual trip to Nelson and this is my go to hotel. I will be there next year. Best place to stay in the Kootenay Lake area.

This is a very well run resort. You dont have to go anywhere everything you need is here. Great room and staff. Restaurant and Bar are very good,location is as good as it gets. Close to the water and a 5 minute walk to downtown Nelson. Very clean and well run. We will be back

The hotel wasexcellent the location was fabulous because it was right on the lake and you could eat out on the patio and that was wonderful. We had a room that looked over the lake which was very nice. The staff was so accommodating (especially Ash, who checked us in) and the food at the restaurants was excellent. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone travelling to Nelson.

Wonderful location by the side of the lake, with a restaurant that has tables out on the lake side. Friendly staff, great reception, very helpful, swimming pool is nice , and restaurant in hotel for breakfast onwards. Car park is large and easy to park. Rooms facing the lake side obviously nicer than car park side. Easy walk of 15 minutes into town

One of the nicest places to stay in the kootenays. Close to Ainsworth and also skiing, with restaurants and cafe on site, and our room was spotless. Didn't see the staff much as location was under construction. Pricing on the high side. Our room was very nice

We love sneaking away for a much needed night out to the prestige lake side resort! The views are stunning hotel rooms are amazing and I am obsessed with the bath tub in the primer rooms! For us it's a go too for a night away when we don't want to be too far from home! Staff is amazing and the restaurant is great!

We loved everything about this hotel: staff were considerate, helpful and polite. We had a small issue with the hotel, which was resolved by the general manager in a very sound and professional manner

nice hotel, very clean and quiet. nice view of the town and lake and mountains. did not use restaurant as I was there for a course. just wished the light on balcony could be turned off as it let a lot of light into the room at night. liked the keurig coffee machine. I can bring my own coffee cups. easy walking to town with lots of restaurants and caffees.

This hotel is right down on the Kootenay Lake in Nelson and has the most beautiful views. Staff are very friendly, the rooms are very comfortable, clean and large. There is a pool/jacuzzi, which I looked at but didn't get a chance to use, as well as a restaurant/lounge area. I was very impressed with the rooms, the comfort of the beds and the overall experience. There is a coffee house right on site, as well as other shops and coffee places a few blocks away. You can walk to the downtown of Nelson in 10 minutes. I would definitely stay here again.

My first visit to Nelson and the Prestige Lakeside Resort since pre-pandemic. I was not disappointed! The staff, accommodation, food and location are all fantastic! I always recommend the Prestige Lakeside Resort to friends and strangers alike.

Went to Nelson for a quick girls trip from Spokane. Only stayed for 1 night and the property, room and staff were fantastic! Excellent location to walk around Nelson, and the views from the room were amazing!

I stayed at the Prestige Lakeside on Monday September 12th with a group. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted and the check in process was seamless as always. With lots of parking out front, it was easy to park where the vehicle was safe and we were able to see them from the rooms. I was on the third floor, with lots of doors along the hallway so that you can pop downstairs easily. The rooms have a nice desk for working, and additional seating options in the room to relax. The beds are comfortable and we love the location. Thank you for hosting our team!
