This hotel is located just east of Albuquerque, however over the Sandia Mountains on I-40. That being said, make note that it isn't the best hotel for in/out of Albuquerque if you are planning to visit there. But for a roadside hotel, this BW is very clean, quiet, safe and easy on/off the interstate.
I booked a room for 2 nights online thru the BW website and realized we needed 3 nights. I tried to update the reservation and it would not update so I cancelled the reservation and made a new one for 3 nights. Well when I returned home my credit card was charged for 2 rooms. One for 2 nights and one for 3 nights. I called the hotel directly and explained what happened and was told that I was a no show for the 2 nights. I explained that I was in the hotel for 3 nights. When I checked in why wasn't I told there was another room for me? I wasn't told. I was scolded was treated extremely rudely by Tiffany and was told it was my fault that I had 2 rooms. I asked to speak to the manager and was told she was not there and would call me back. I did not receive a call from the manager but a call the next day from rude Tiffany that told me they would refund me for one night. I explained again that I paid for 3 nights and should not have to pay an additional 2 nights for the same dates that I was in the hotel. Again she told me it was my fault. They had my phone number and I was there in the hotel but no one told me that I had a second room booked, they just went ahead and charged me for it. I called BW customer service and was told they cannot do anything as the hotels are individually owned. Well I will not ever be using a BW hotel again and I travel extensively. They have lost a good paying customer over $420, what a shame.
Nice & clean hotel. Breakfast was great with lots of options. A/C in room didn't work so it was hot all night. Finally had to open the window to cool the room off enough. Was just brushed off when I let the front desk know. Said they would fix for next guest.
Expensive and the wi-fi does not work. A blanket smelled like piss in my room. The cleaning service did not clean my room when asked. Front desk not available at times.
Everything met our expectations! Room was perfect! Continental breakfast had a lot of choices and was delicious!
Clean and Quiet ( Even though next to Expressway ) Perfect spot if heading East... Just past Albuquerque.
If you are traveling I-40 near Albuquerque I highly recommend this hotel. It is 40 miles East of the city. The hotel is very clean, quiet and the staff are wonderful. The rooms are big and clean. I have passed by this hotel many times and went on to stay in Albuquerque. I wont make that mistake again. I will stop here and enjoy a quiet evening.
Our goal was to travel through Albuquerque to avoid the rush hour when getting on the road the next morning. Santa Rosa was a bit too far. So we stopped at this BW which turned out to be a good choice. The facility is a bit tired on the inside, but had decent amenities. No complaints. Fruit and cookies available for afternoon snack. A few restaurants nearby. Breakfast was ok. A bit more than we wanted to pay, but probably due to location and demand. Might consider staying again.
We were quite surprised by this hotel. Due to it's location we weren't sure it would be a good experience. We were delighted with the cleanliness of the rooms and hotel overall. The breakfast was fairly standard. Dog spot with bags and trashcan were nice to have since we were traveling with a dog.
The room was nice. There were a good amount of tv channels to choose from. The beds were too soft for what we are used to. I like to use the wifi on my phone for internet because of security, but I had no cell service at all. As a member, all the other Best Westerns I stay at give me a bottle of water at checkin, not this one. There's a sign that you're not allowed taking any breakfast food to your room to eat, I've never encountered this before.
Wood floors, clean, and the heater worked fine. Large screen TV with the channel guide on screen. Staff was friendly. Firm beds and a work desk. Hot shower. Everything seemed in good order except the outside. It looked kind of neglected but that could have been due to winter. Good breakfast - Ham, eggs, potatoes, yogurt, breads, waffles and the usual stuff. We would come back to this hotel.
I stopped here to get a room. They wanted 137 dollars for one night. I am a senior citizen with triple aaa. AARP plus have a current cdl. He lady behind the counter said none of that really matters. I said 137 is a very high rate with all this construction going on.. I couldn't get a better price so I left and found a local room for 74. I will never return. No respect for seniors
My room was in great condition and very clean. The restroom was full of towels and various soaps and shampoos. The heater was set for the best temperature and I never needed to fiddle with it. Their breakfast selection is excellent and offers great variety of stuff along with great coffee. The staff is helpful and friendly. A great place to stay.
Nice clean hotel passed thru New Mexico. Very pleasant staff and helpful on where to eat after check in. We ordered pizza from Buttercrust Pizza and they delivered promptly amazing pizza and wings! Safe area and glad we passed thru Albuquerque where we had a hard time finding a safe place since we have a truck and trailer to park. Very good breakfast that was a step above the others we have stayed.
This was one of our best hotels for this year! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet offered ham, biscuits, gravy, eggs, fruit, waffles, plain and chocolate milk, juices and many more options. The attendant kept everything stocked and clean. Our room was Exceptionally clean! I don't believe I've ever had a room cleaner! The shower had a rounded rod, which is so much nicer and cleaner. We had a king bed and the room was very large. If we're ever in this area needing a room we would definitely stay again! I highly recommend this hotel!
The front lady named Wendy was rude and disrespectful. She double charged me for my pet fee. She charged my card and I also gave her cash. When I asked her in the morning for a refund since I noticed she charged my card, she said, “she said no I can't do that.” This is fraud! She refused to help me then she threatened to call the cops on me for asking for a refund?! I'm 6 months pregnant and the bed was dirty with stains! I took pictures and videos. The bed was also hard as a rock and springs poking you while you're trying to sleep! Also, there was no shampoo or conditioner. They left an opened soap bar and a used tiny lotion bottle!! This place is horrible and it's a fraud!! I can believe they charged my card $171 for one night and took my $25 cash pet deposit that she refused to refund! I want my money back!!! This is the worst hotel I have ever been to!!!
Recently remodeled room with new laminated flooring was appreciated. Pillows were lumpy and need replacing. Nice big king suite and appreciate the pet friendly room being on the first floor and close to exit door. The community and neighborhood overall felt safe; however, the hallway exit door wouldn't consistently close shut tightly and lock which was of some concern from a safety perspective. Nice hot breakfast and excellent coffee. Close to KFC and Taco Bell.
Stayed here on our 3000 mile trip and it was busy. I asked the front desk gal for a quiet room which she said she couldn't guarantee, she was correct, she could not. The direct neighbor came in at 11:15, we were already asleep for an hour and half, and they were extremely loud. Slamming the door, talking really loudly, laughing, it was horrible! We put up with it for a while, and finally called the front desk. They said they would check it out and of course they calmed down and went to sleep before front desk came. Room as clean, bed was uncomfortable, breakfast was mediocre and half and half tasted spoiled.
Had a good stay at this hotel. Good breakfast every morning and a nice coffee bar and fresh lemon water every day was nice. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Our bathroom shower supplies were lacking, glad we brought our own to use. The hotel was busier than usual and the replacement towels got rather raggedy looking but were available. Overall the hotel and the Chili Hills restaurant down the road would bring us back if we were in the area again. They ended up charging us more than our reservation had quoted 7 months earlier and we have contacted the company about this to try and find out the issue.
This hotel was the best of the BW properties we stayed at on our entire trip! We are planning our future trips across this great country to allow us to stay at this particular hotel. We recommended it to our travel group!
I stopped here on my way to Western NM, I've driven by many times but this was my 1st stay at this property. It was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast set up wa very nice and all employees were more than helpful. I would highly recommend staying here if you are in Moriarty.
Noise above me till 11 PM. At 2 AM there were dogs barking in the hall, doors slamming, and loud conversations. At 4 AM I complained to the desk and things got quiet for 40 minutes. Then people gave up and started leaving, causing another wave of noise. I left too. Worst hotel stay I've ever had, I'll never go back.
This is a great location in New Mexico! It is near lots of good food options and is near easy on/off spots to the main freeway. Every staff member was a pleasure to talk with and were happy to provide good recommendations. I love finding these types of hotels which aren't in the big cities that really shine - and this is one of them. Worth it.
Found crack pipe inside couch bed. Floors in room were filthy. Horrible customer service. Said we'd have to talk with manager on Monday. They should have been called immediately. They were supposed to call me today, but I've not heard from them.
This year I have stayed in several different Best Western facilities in multiple states. The Moriarty Heritage Inn is by far the best. The staff is always incredibly pleasant and helpful, the facility is always very clean the breakfast is always great.
The property was well cared for. The rooms were clean and tidy!! The staff was taking the time to check with guests to make certain there were no problems with their room. That kind of customer service no longer exists!!!
Nice, comfortable, clean room! Good wifi! Decent area! All the staff that we encountered were super friendly! Delicious hot breakfast! AAA++++ We did not use the pool or any other ammenities. We would stay here again if in the area!
After experiencing the worst Best Western in Holbrook, AZ with their chemical laden room and non-working AC//Best Western MORIARTY, was incredibly pleasant. Terrific shower/comfy bed/pleasant atmosphere/clean room/awesome breakfast & staff.
My stay there has been good and would not change anything about it would for owners to now that they have an amazing cook and Night Shift employees that work and help in any way they can I want to say thank you
Hotel has degraded significantly from last year. Pool/hot tub are still inoperative after a year - there is actual scum on the surface of the hot tub water. Upstairs ice machine inoperative, no one working on it. Downstairs ice machine has a sign telling guests to go buy ice at a store if they want more than the room bucket filled with ice. Sheets and towels are threadbare. Room smelled musty upon entry. Alarm clock unplugged (to save $$??). This used to be the nicest place in town. Now very dingy and bleak.
The hotel was very clean, beds comfortable, breakfast outstanding , I will make a point to stay here again. It's about $20 more a night, but ten fold better all around in cleanliness, and breakfast a whole lot better.
Absolutely wonderful hotel on cross country trip. Clean, quiet, wonderful staff. After a stressful week of moving and packing, this hotel was exactly what we needed for a good nights sleep. Would definitely stay here again if find ourselves in the area.
I would not recommended this hotel to anyone. I left my North Face jacket at the hotel after I checked out. Once I realized it was missing which was 3 hours later I called and the front desk staff confirmed that no one had stayed in my room. They found my North Face jacket but they washed it and it shrunk. I had only worn it 1 time so it was new. Now it is ruined.
I absolutely adore the Best Western in Moriarty, NM! I frequently travel from Louisiana to California, and this is the only place I stay! The staff is exceptionally kind, the entire hotel is immaculately clean, and it's also conveniently located near the interstate. No matter how early or late in the day, the front desk staff always has a smile on their faces. I have had a few of the front desk staff remember me from previous trips, which made my day! The rooms are comfortable, quiet, clean, and have an in room thermostat. The bathrooms have a full bath tub/shower, and include a hair dryer and travel sized shampoo and body wash. I love that there is a breakfast attendant to serve breakfast in order to prevent contamination/spreading germs. They also have freshly baked cookies near the check-in desk! There's also a pool and a gym. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Moriarty, you can't go wrong by picking Best Western. Guaranteed to always have a positive experience and a good night of sleep after a long day of traveling. Thank you, Best Western Moriarty!!
My family of 5 stayed here for a quick overnight stay after driving 800 mile that day on our way to visit family. It was the most expensive option of the hotels in the area but it looked clean and spacious so I booked it. We checked in at 9pm and left the next day at 8am so we were there less than 12 hrs. Usually when we have to make a long drive we select a hotel with a room large enough for 5 people to sleep (2 beds and a pullout couch) and with a free breakfast that we can eat quickly so we can get back on the road. Our overnight stay was fine but when we went to get breakfast the next morning we were surprised to see a line. They wouldn't let anyone serve themselves and only had one person serving an entire hotel of guests. It wasn't the most efficient system but even worse than that was she would shake her finger at someone who she thought had already come through the line and tell them they had already eaten and couldn't get anything else! I had assisted my kids in getting their food and after they sat down I went to get mine. All I asked for was bacon (which was two tiny pieces so thin you could practically see through them) and she told me I had already eaten when in fact I had actually told her I didn't want anything when I went through the line with my kids and I told her I was just helping them. When I reminded her of that she finally served me my two paper thin pieces of bacon. So if you don't eat breakfast this place is fine to stay. But if you do want to eat, make sure you plan a little extra time and order one of everything because there are no seconds! I laugh even having to say that because it's so absurd.
This hotel has its act together. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice breakfast. There were other amenities we didn't use. We had to delay our departure a day due to a winter storm and the hotel graciously accommodated this delay.
Enjoyed our night stay. Clean, quiet, and the staff was efficient and friendly. Dog friendly with a $25 fee. Downside is that there isn't much of a place to walk our dog. But, she still enjoyed exploring the area. Great breakfast - made fresh and very tasty. Shout out to the woman working the breakfast bar, she worked her tail off. Might be the best "free" breakfast I have had. A bit pricy but seemed to be the going rate for the area. Recommend if you need a place to stay along I40 in New Mexico.
I stayed at Best Western Moriarity, NM three times in the last 5 months in my drives from OH to AZ, only because of recommendations of AAA of it being the safest in the area. I found it to be be very dirty. There were filthy stained wash cloths that didn't appear to have went through a wash, that should have been caught before placing them in the guest room. I took photos at the time and showed it to the guest desk. It was overall unclean throughout. Although it's a matter of feeling unclean vs safety, I called to make a reservation for that reason only. I am firm on my previous review, that I will not change. Because of the reviews, the manager put in the system to not allow me to make a reservation. I am fine with that, it's a nasty hotel. However, if an honest review is not wanted in order to change those things, don't put blame on the guest for exposing those issues, take responsibility as a manager for the subpar conditions. There was a time that Best Western hotels were sought after during trips, but my experience has been, that's no longer the case. I have not experienced these issues with Hampton, Hilton or Hyatts, I'm confident I'm not alone in that opinion.
Highly recommend. Price is very reasonable. Great breakfast included with your stay. Warm cookies. Coffee, tea and water station available. Indoor pool. Clean.Great Staff! Very accommodating. Convenient!
Very basic motel and overpriced. Pricing was increased due to Albuquerque balloon festival which was 35 miles away. Rooms are very small and outdated. Breakfast was limited and access was limited due to Covid restrictions still in place. Bathroom had only one sink, no outer sink. Will stay elsewhere in the future.
The rate was a little higher than I expected, however the room and accommodations did not disappoint. The room was clean, the shower was awesome and I appreciated the first floor location. The hotel had very good security, they were helpful in getting a pizza delivered to my room and check-out was quick and easy.
Nice and clean motel with good breakfast and a very helpful staff. A little on the pricey side, but it was very nice for my husband and I and our dog. You get what you pay for. We thought it was one of the nicer Best Westerns we have stayed in.
I would recommend this hotel very highly. The cleanest hotel we have stayed at. The hotel staff was excellent and very accommodating. Plus they serve a fresh breakfast every day. Very easy to find right off the highway. There are several places to eat close by.
An excellent nights stopover in the BW. Everything as expected, and we had a great time. Especially many thanks to the receptionist who pointed us in the direction of the La Hacienda. All in all we had a great time there.
The manager or who seemed to be the person in charge is not very cordial, no smiles, no good morning, very awkward. Our room smelled horrible, very strong smell of cigarettes. The sheets were stained, some of the towels had someone else's hair stuck to them. The only positive thing is the service provided by the breakfast lady, she was very nice. However, she was all alone and it was very busy for her to keep up with everything so the coffee was out, she should definitely get someone else to help her.
New, clean, very nice hotel! Location is not far from the interstate. The hotel staff was extremely nice and helpful, the breakfast was superb, the room was first rate. Outstanding!!!! I would recommend this hotel very strongly, and we will definitely stay again!
We came to New Mexico for a funeral of a family member. Arrived late to the hotel after driving 12 hours and we're exhausted. When we checked in the room across the hall had barking dogs.. we left to go see family and came back at 11pm to dogs still barking. We went to front desk to complain at 5 am after getting no sleep all night. They said a manager would call us, that never happened. I am a GM of a hotel in Texas, and if my front desk treated guest like this staff did I would fire them on the spot. Needless to say we left at 7pm and headed back to Texas. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME ON THIS HOTEL. Poor customer service.
This hotel is worth the money! We felt safe, the hotel and rooms were very clean and fresh. The bed and pillows were wonderful! We were so cozy, we slept through breakfast! We do appreciate finding a clean hotel! Keep up the good work, Best Western!
This hotel staff is top notch!!! Everyone was so helpful, kind and made our visit wonderful!! They helped us plan what to go see, they even helped us with car trouble!! A special thank you to Lauren at the front desk for that!!!! The hotel was clean and the beds where very comfortable!! Will stay here again when we come back to travel with family!!!
The service was excellent. I had questions about the town and some directions to different places. I had left home in a hurry and forgot a bag. They had everything I needed at the motel. The room was quiet and clean. The breakfast was good. The ladies serving were doing and excellent job. I will stay at this motel again.
This Best Western was such a great stay, we selected for price and proximity to food options. It didn't look like much from the road but interior was so welcoming with lime water, coffee, and cookies in the lobby, and filtered water stations at every level. The staff was warm and welcoming and breakfast was amazing. Huge, fresh waffles and breakfast tacos with heaps of hatch chiles. Definitely recommend!
Easily accessed from freeway. Ample parking. Welcoming entrance and front desk. Courteous service. Love the idea (new to us) of first-rate cookies, each in a paper bag. Great strategy to provide that homey feeling. Any other extras such as that really makes a strong statement about first/class hospitality.
Wendy at the front desk, was super helpful and sweet! We checked in late in the night, and she found us quickly a room and always made sure to check with us if we needed something else! The room was very clean and the breakfast is good too! I totally would recommend this hotel!
Clean and comfortable. Noise level not great. Can hear other guests in their rooms. While very clean, property isn't being maintained, pool and hot tub out of service, worn areas, broken tiles in bathroom, caulk needing to be replaced, carpet worn. Price point way too high for a location with non functioning amenities.
We found the room by reviewing User Ratings on various sites. Took a chance based upon the reviews, and the fact that the Suite was reasonably priced. As we exited the Interstate heading into Moriarty, we were concerned with the area as there were few active businesses prior to getting to the Best Western Motel. Once inside the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised with the condition of the entrance and main area. Upon inspection, we found a beautiful Suite, complete with a small bar containing sink, cabinets, microwave, and refrigerator! A clean, and well equipped bathroom was also refreshing. The setting area include a spacious desk and very comfortable computer chair, complete with light and multiple plug-ins, as well as a large sofa-bed with spacious coffee table. The bedroom contained what looked to be new furnishings, and the carpet throughout looked new and was very attractive. The beds were soft but supportive, and extremely comfortable. My wife and I slept through the night! Temperature was easily controlled, and we were comfortable. Probably the most comfortable room in more than 7 trips from East Tennessee to San Diego, CA over the past 9 years!!! There are multiple eating places within 7 miles, as well as a Walmart Super Center. Try it, you will like it!
The front desk person was friendly. The room was clean and comfortable, appeared to have been recently updated. The common areas needed a little deep cleaning. The complimentary hot breakfast was good. The breakfast staff prepared individual breakfast for you. The property was close to freeway, some road noise, so ask for run away from freeway. Overall a nice place for a overnight stay. The pool and spa were closed during our visit.
Stopped at Best Western for overnight stay. Glad we did! Very comfortable and great staff! In particular, thank you Jessica for being so helpful and courteous! Breakfast had a wonderful selection and was delicious!
When we were trying to check in Melissa who was at the desk informed us that we had enough points for a free night. She then gave us the information on how to contact the main corporation and book it with them so we got our free night. The breakfast there was top notch. Had a person making it and serving it to you. This hotel is a must stop if you need to stay in Moriarty NN
Rooms were clean. Hot breakfast was served to you vs self serve. Disappointed the pool was closed when we stayed there. It was the main reason we chose this hotel. Had to ask for extra towels in the room. Front desk said all the towels were being washed and we should come back in 2 hours. Seems strange when the hotel wasn't full.
The only complaint we had was the beds are very firm! Everything else was very good! All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating! The breakfast was great and the breakfast staff was eager to please!
Best Western Plus never disappoints…if all you want is a clean, comfortable, well-appointed room in this location…then I highly recommend it. Unfortunately there are very few choices of restaurants in the area. The hotel directed us to La Hacienda…good food if Mexican is your choice.
We stayed one night on our way to our destination. The room was clean as was the hotel. The bed was comfortable. The location was convenient. Staff was friendly. The usual self-serve breakfast was replaced by a breakfast attendant taking orders and making each one which was a great way to reduce spreading germs between guests.
On a long drive for spring break and found them as a place to stay. From start to finish everything was excellent. I would say this is the place to stop if you are in the area and need a rest. They are also close to a few sites to visit for a diversion.
The room was clean but the bed was uncomfortable and the tub stopper didn't stay up for the water to drain. The pet area and surrounding areas where pets would do their business was unclean and not kept up.
Only thing I didn't like that the pool and hot tub wasn't opened. I could bring my dog with me and no one said anything to me about him in the breakfast area. Even through he would never do anything. But me and my family love it and will be back soon!!!
We were just passing through so had hopeful but reasonable expectations but were really pleased our room was clean and very comfortable, the facility was clean, the pool was not open but that didn't matter to us, think it was being serviced. The breakfast was served by a very capable, very friendly woman who was quick and accurate, but the friendly part was the most noticeable and the most appreciated. Front desk staff also kind and friendly. Friendly goes a long way with me. Too often you're met anymore with people who aren't really interested, they're just doing a job, it's hard to get a smile or even eye contact. I appreciated that each person we met had the same kind, friendly response to us. We'd stay again. The only was we didn't know how to adjust the thermostat at the window unit and I had a hard time sleeping because of it, but I often have a hard time sleeping anyway and we certainly could have asked those friendly people help but didn't so that's on us.
Quiet and comfortable stay. Average cleanliness. Great breakfast with more options than a usual hotel breakfast! Friendly chef! Not a buffet! Loved that! Check in was a little disappointing. No one was attending the check in desk; however I saw a lady in the laundry area but failed to get her attention. After what seemed like a long wait, I called the front desk and the same lady came out of the laundry area and checked us in. Perhaps they need a desk bell. Although the area seemed a little sketchy, the police presence across the street was reassuring. Over all a good stay for the price.
If I could rate this worse I would! Worst experience ever the manager was rude and unprofessional will never go back to this place ever again!!! This is a lace was good when the old owners where there is
Nice hotel with clean rooms, friendly staff. We had reservations for 2 adults (no kids), Best Western members, and checked in. We were for preference of floor, so they just put us on bottom floor, pretty much first room entering the hall. There was some noise of just basic families with kids being excited rattling around, the usual stuff, in the room above us and lots of noise in the morning as well. The remainder of our trips, all front desks seemed to ask which floor we liked or did we have any preferences. There were no food places to eat nearby since we came on the one day their "favorite spot" was closed. Left with KFC and Arbys which by 8 pm doesn't want to be there so no good food which is not their fault. For breakfast buffet, a lady serves which is nice for COVID and I would have loved these homemade donuts they brag on. Guess what, 1 left at like 8:00 a.m. Boo!
If you are in the area, this IS THE PLACE to stay. Excellent service, food, rooms, and just nice, genuine staff. Such a pleasure. I noticed repeat customers, so I KNOW they like this hotel! Tell them Jane and Brad said, "hi."
This hotel is definitely the nicer hotel in Moriarty! All of the staff were super friendly and helpful! The room that we stayed in was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was delicious! Would definitely recommend! ☺️
We needed a place to rest overnight on a road trip, and we chose this hotel for its location on our route. Our expectations were pleasantly exceeded. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the room was very clean and in working order. Breakfast in the morning was hot and fresh. The best hotel experience I have had yet. If I am in the area again in the future, I know where I'll be staying.
The rooms and hotel were clean and the breakfast was great. It is in a easy location off of the interstate and close by to gas, restaurants, and gas stations. Seemed to be the best option in Moriarty.
I booked our stay thru the phone center. The agent was very helpful making sure he accommodated our group. Upon arrival the front desk clerk was so pleasant. Our rooms were what I expected. They weren't lavish but I wasn't expecting that either. They were nice and clean and comfortable. The bed could've been softer. The heater worked great. Breakfast buffet offered several hot options and plenty of seating. Overall I would definitely choose to stay here again if on our route.
My wife and I stayed here for one night during our cross county relocation from NV to NC. Very satisfied with this property and staff and rate. Would definitely recommend this to others and stay here again.
Clean, friendly rooms, and courteous staff. If you're on I40 and looking for a place just outside Albuquerque, this is the place to stay! Food is close by, with a number of local restaurants to try (Chili Hills, Nachos, Chuck Wagon, Others). If you're there on a Sunday, try visiting the nearby Moriarty First Baptist church! Overall this location is perfect for any of your travel stays! We had a great visit.
BW has made many of their hotels with vinyl/wood flooring for pet rooms. Excellent choice. I gave allergies and hypoallergenic Yorkies. These rooms do not trap allergens from other pets. Good place to stay. Spent extra nights due to an unexpected weather change. They did a great job.
The exceptional staff were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our time in Moriarity. Rooms were extremely clean and tastefully decorated. Great value for the price. We will definitely be back!
Staff was wonderful! Room was clean and we had everything we needed. The only thing I would wish for is longer Breakfast hours but 9am is the normal hotel end of breakfast so it is not out of the norm. And I will say it again, Staff was wonderful, friendly, and helpful with everything we needed!
Booked on phone app the day before. Noted I was traveling with dogs in my requests section. Never had time to follow up with a phone call to make sure motel could accommodate but everything was in order when I checked in. Was placed in room near exit to dog area. Other pet travelers in rooms nearby, so they were friendly to having energetic dogs in the hallway.
I found the Best Western to be very accommodating, the room was clean as was the rest of the hotel. It was nice to have a hot breakfast before heading off to the conference. I highly recommend this hotel for all your visiting needs.
Road trip for Thanksgiving holiday, stayed at this location both coming and going. Nice large room, comfortable bed, large bathroom and wonderful breakfast with 24/7 coffee station. Also provided fresh apples which helps when traveling.
When traveling Hwy 40 if going West stop before Albuquerque,East after 30 miles!! Friendly Staff, modern, clean Hotel; great beds and pet friendly. Especially nice for us easy access to ADA room. Handicapped spots actually next to ADA rooms!!!
I often travel I-40 West and this will be my new stop just outside of Albuquerque. The front desk staff at check-in and check-out were very helpful and friendly. The room was clean and spacious enough. The breakfast server was also very helpful. Even though there were Covid-19 protocols we were able to enjoy the breakfast selection. I didn't get a chance to use the pool nor exercise area but they were functional and appeared clean. The shower temperature was great although the water pressure was just average, which was the only downside.
We we're warmly welcomed by Jessica who was very helpful and gave us ideas for restaurants in the area. (Shorty's was great) Beds were comfortable, HVAC was quiet, everything was clean. The hotel does show some wear in carpets and scratched doors but the basics were great. Breakfast is standard fare. They are still requiring guests to be served by an attendant; no self serve items. Would stay again if we are in the area.
Everyone from check-in to check-out was kind, knowledgeable and professional. Their breakfast was absolutely the best experience we had over 2 weeks of traveling! Highly recommend Best Western Moriarty Heritage Inn…
The service was great! Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The beds were comfortable. The pool and hot tub were working well, which is always a must When traveling with kids. I would definitely recommend this hotel!
We were on a road trip from Utah to Florida and needed a hotel for one night. We are so glad we found this hotel. Very clean, very nice front desk people and very easy to get to from the freeway. Nice to have a microwave to warm up some takeout food we found nearby. Would absolutely stay here again.
Very nice, clean, quite place to stay. A good place to get rested on a long trip across the US. There are a couple of good restaurants to eat at of an evening. Moriarty, NM is not a tourist trap, though there are a couple of places to buy trinkets My main reason for staying at the Best Western in Moriarty is because it is clean and well taken care of
Great people! We booked over the phone for this location and were impressed with the front desk from that moment on. Once we got there it was great to see them in person. Cookies were out (after 3pm) and ice water, coffee, and tea were readily available.
Loved this little gem! The rooms we a very nice size and everything was so clean. Loved the cookies and fruit when we checked in. The breakfast was very good and selection was great!. The beds were the perfect blend between hard and soft. If we ever have to stop this way again we will be back.
This is an older Best Western, but clean and quiet and located in a small town. The breakfast was adequate. You have to order what you want from the attendant, who was very accommodating. We didn't want to stay in Albuquerque and this was about 20 miles East of the city. We felt safe at this location and would stay here again.
Nice hotel in a crappy little town. Right of route 66 that's heard seen better days. No road upkeep at all, trees over grown on side of street. If I hadn't known it was there I would not have stopped. A little over priced for the area.
I was traveling home to OK after my mom's funeral & left my laptop in my rm. I discovered this a couple days later. I called & they had it. I covered shipping & they got it to me. I apprecitae the staff's integrity & professionalism in solving a problem of my own making.
Tired from a long day of traveling we decided to look for a place to stay. I looked at the reviews of hotel in Morarity and we decided to try the Best Western- Best choice we made! This place was easy off easy on I40 and was spotless! There was an Arby's and Kentucky Fried chicken within walking distance but we opted to order delivery from a nearby establishment and got a menu from the front desk. The beds were comfy- the shower hot and strong! The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating! Breakfast was you order from the menu items and it was prepared and handed to you by hotel staff - easier to adhere to Covid guidelines. All and all a wonderful experience! I highly recommend this place if you're in the area looking for a good place to stay!
This is the best hotel I've stayed at in a long time. The room was simple, clean, and had the needed amenities. The shower worked well and everything did its job. The best part of the trip was the staff, though. We first worked with Jessica, and then Wendy. These women were so friendly and relaxed! I was with some people that have very... Outgoing and out there personalities, and these staff members handled them so well. They handled the entertainment in a fun way, but still very professional. Also, the breakfast was probably the best breakfast I've ever had at a hotel. Due to Covid, two women were essentially making it up for people, but they did a wonderful job. There were many different yummy breakfast options, and the women were very helpful and well-mannered. 10/10 and would love to be back again. Nice job!
Our visit to this property was exquisite, from the time we arrived, until we checked out. We've had to travel more than normal this past year and this stay was an unexpected pleasure compared to other facilities.
We were traveling from Salt Lake City to Houston via the Grand Canyon and wanted a stop outside of Albuquerque. The hotel was clean. Front desk host was friendly and recommended local restaurants for dinner. I wasn't sure about the safety of the area, not being familiar with Moriarty, but it seemed fine. We didn't leave anything of value in the car. The room had a fridge with a freezer which was helpful as we were traveling with a cooler. Breakfast was great!
Excellent hotel and very clean. They offer a wonderful hot breakfast and don't forget all the snacks too. This Best Western goes above and beyond for their customers. You would think that you are at a five star hotel with everything that they offer.
I do not normally stay at Best Western, and shame on me for not doing so if the other Best Westerns are like the one that I stayed in at Moriarty, NM. I kept commenting to my daughter that the folks were so friendly and courteous. The hotel rooms were in excellent condition and the stay was very pleasurable. And the hotel was located right off of the interstate on historical Route 66.
This has become our favorite stopover when traveling to/from Arizona. Clean hotel and grounds. Quiet and safe location. Comfortable amenities. Super friendly staff. Easy on/off I-40. Homemade cookies/coffee at check-in a nice personal touch!
We were stuck in traffic for 45 minutes and was not having any luck finding a hotel we liked at Albuquerque so we decided to look here. Wow what a great hotel. It was easy to get to with lots of parking. The lobby area smelled nice. They had hot water for hot chocolate, tea, coffee, cookies and fruit infused water. There is an elevator which is always nice. The room is a nice size. The TV has great channels. The last hotel we stayed at didnt have hardly any channels. The breakfast sounds amazing but we left too early for it. Breakfast is 6 to 9 am. This is a great find and I hope when we come this way again we can stay here.
Staff were super nice hotel was incredibly clean and the free cookies were absolutely perfect after a long day of driving. The lobby was clean and inviting and the room was exceptional. My wife and I got a good nights rest as well. 13/10 would stay at again.
Very nice Best Western just off I40 yet very quiet and comfortable. Friendly staff, clean rooms, lovely lobby area. Cooked to order breakfast attended by a friendly and efficient woman. Best choice if you prefer a smaller town outside the busy city.
It was a nice hotel this is the second time we stayed there they are very friendly and accommodating to my wife and her service dog never give us any problems room was really cleaned breakfast was really good
We stayed in July, some Covid restrictions were still in place making for a modified breakfast routine, and the pool was closed. The staff were friendly, the facility was clean, comfortable, and inviting. The AC worked very well, even in the midst of a heatwave.
Thank you for such a comfortable stay while on my way home traveling by car. Room was immaculate, breakfast was wonderful as well as staff. Check in was efficient and clear on amenities of hotel and local restaurants that offered carryout's. Thank you for being a non smoking facility!
We stayed here on our way home to MO from the Grand Canyon. We chose this location as it was outside of Albuquerque and just off I-40. Very nice, quiet town. It was a wonderful hotel--clean, comfortable rooms and bathroom. The staff was nice and welcoming. I think the highlight was breakfast the next morning. The woman helping (we forgot to get her name) was absolutely wonderful! Due to COVID, you weren't allowed to get your own food. They had a list of available items and she would assemble them for you. Fresh cracked eggs, yogurt/fruit parfaits, waffles, breakfast tacos. It was all wonderful and she was so nice and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.
excellent care-Wendy, the night registrar, went above and beyond her job to help us. We are so grateful. We will revisit this location anytime we are traveling through this area in the future. Experience was top notch.
We pass through that area about once a year to see family. when we take I-40 we usually stay at this hotel. It is clean, comfortable and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. It is not the newest hotel in the area, but it is well maintained and everything always works. The beds have been comfortable and the HVA/C has always been what we want (some places are not). We keep going back because the price is good and the accommodations are what we look for.
This is an amazing Best Western! The staff was super friendly and helpful and far exceeded our expectations. Our hotel room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was great! Would definitely recommend this hotel to others. They are doing things right!
Food was delicious and the woman working the breakfast was quick, check in was fast and the women working the desk were amazing friendly, room was clean and comfortable! Excellent stay for my family. I would definitely stay here again.
Fabulous, clean, friendly, professional. 10 plus stars! We were just driving through and stopped on our cross country trek. I would come back just to stay here! The breakfast was remarkably efficient, well done and yummy inspite of covid!
We were traveling cross country with a moving truck with our daughter and her family. I was concerned about staying in Albuquerque with the big truck and trailer and this was the right choice for us. Wendy was extremely friendly and helpful in booking two rooms next to each other. When we arrived the front desk employees were pleasant and helpful and even drew a map to a nice park with a playground for our three year old granddaughter. We were provided information about restaurant choices and a local cafe within walking distance was perfect. The service and local folks there made it a fun evening and the food was great! Breakfast was provided at the hotel and the employees served up one of the best breakfasts on our journey. One member of our party needed medical care in the morning and there is a walk in clinic close by along with a nearby pharmacy. If we ever travel this way again we are staying here for sure! This was a difficult journey but the people we met along the way like the folks here in Moriarty made it feel like a vacation! Thank you to all of you!
My first road trip since Covid and until I stayed here, the included breakfast was pretty pathetic. Not only was I offered cookies and a packaged snack upon arrival, I was provided with a hot breakfast, prepared and served by their staff, with the same choices they typically have with buffets! Truly impressive.
Arrived practically distraught at 2:00 a.m. after an 8-hour train delay. Front desk staff was extremely sympathetic and kind. Room was clean and quiet. Plenty of hot water for showers. Stayed for 5 nights. Delicious hot breakfast every morning. Great coffee, too! Everyone we came into contact with was friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend Best Western Moriarty Heritage Inn to all!!
Great hotel for excellent value. Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Rooms were immaculate, amenities were available. We actually decided to join their rewards program after staying at the hotel group for 2 nights in a row.
Secure, safe property; friendly professional associates--cognizant of current COVID-19 protocols. Room was CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. Stayed 2 nights. Traveled with pets--hotel provided a pet "welcome bag" that included a treat, pick up bags, and a clear outline of expectations for pet behavior during stay that included the offer of a "doggie blanket" for use during the stay as pets are not allowed on the furniture. Would stay here again when in the area.
Great Service, Clean Rooms, very friendly staff, a pleasure to stay here. Travel this way again the BW will be on our list of placed to Stay. Being on a motorcycle, front desk allowed us to park our bike under the canopy for the night. Awesome customer service!
The staff at this Best Western could not be better. They bent over backwards to accommodate us. Staff was very friendly and the made to order breakfast was great. Good location easy to get on and off I40.
I was immediately greeted by a cheerful clerk at the front desk upon arrival. He was very pleasant and personable. The room was very clean, much better than I had expected. The towels were very thin and scratchy but that is my only negative comment about the room. The included breakfast was set up very strange but I am from a state that is not treating COVID like the Plague. They had all the typical options of a hotel breakfast available, you just had to ask the friendly staff to get it for you. The coffee with all the creamers and what not was self serve which made no sense to me of you're so worried about covid by that's not the point of this review.
Excellent service from Chris at the front desk to everyone we saw in the Hotel. BONUS...HOT Breakfast. Not your grab n go. Waffles, eggs made to order etc. Even a special treat bag for our dog along with welcome cookies. Will stay here again. They also supplied us with a list of nearby restaurants for dinner.
By far the best staff that I've ever encountered at any hotel. We travel for business and have checked into hundreds of hotels over years, this one beats any of them. Jessie was my first contact with the BW, and that made up my mind which hotel I was going to! We checked in late, and offered to make us something to eat if we hadn't eaten!! Unheard off! The next morning, the front desk AND the breakfast gal was just as kind and helpful! Ohhhh, and the rooms are clean, and the beds comfy. I'd give them a 10 if I could. Highly recommend!
The Best Western in Moriarty, NM far exceeded our expectations for an overnight stay. The front desk staff could not have been more pleasant, helpful or professional. Delicious coffee is available 24 hrs. & freshly baked cookies as well. Breakfast during the pandemic was better than usual because everything was cooked to order. It wouldn't have been better at a restaurant! Spotless rooms & very comfortable. Highly recommended!
We had not planned a stay in Moriarty, but with road closures due to snow we suddenly needed a place for the night. Mandy at the front desk was so very helpful throughout the stay. I wish she could check me in to every place we visit. The property was updated, very clean, and our two queen bed room was large and comfortable. The good hot breakfast had many options and excellent coffee.
Obviously the COVID-19 pandemic has struck a blow to the hospitality industry. This location was a nice stay. Moriarty is a quiet town and there are a few eating places nearby. For some groceries, the nearby town of Edgewood has a Walmart supercenter. The breakfast server prepared me a nice to-go bag, and the biscuits were just how I like them. I would stay here again. I have stayed at the nearby Super 8 before, which is a good place. I slightly prefer the Best Western.
I have traveled a lot and stayed at a variety of hotels (to include other Best Westerns). I can honestly say this hotel I can remember ever staying at. Maybe it was because they actually served a hot breakfast or maybe it was because the staff went out of their way to make you feel at home. But after staying here on the way thru town I decided to come back here on the way back home even though I had to drive a couple extra hours than I normally would on that day. This is one of those hotels that go on my list as definite stays whenever I pass this way again.
Everything from check in to check out was PERFECTION! Wendy, the night auditor, was OUTSATNDING! The room was very clean ( it stood up to my white glove test ) and it didn't have that sickening cleaner smell ALL the other hotels uses since COVID began. The rooms were also well appointed and very cozy. We had a leisurely and calm check out, what a wonderful, memorable experience !
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. Everyone went out of their way to take care of us and our little dog. We couldn't have had a nicer stay! The property is very clean and updated. From the minute you arrive, you feel at home!
Driving through NM, didn't want to stay in Albuquerque so chose Moriarty and after reading reviews, booked the Best Western. Very glad we did, the room was very nice and what's even more important- the bed was super comfortable!
I know without a doubt what to expect from this location. It will be clean, breakfast tasty, and quiet for a good night sleep. That's exactly what it was for my entire stay. P.S. The staff are super helpful and friendly.
Wendy at the front desk is helpful and kind. Our room was very clean and the breakfast was very good. This is a great location off Moriarty. It's safe clean and they have good people to help you with your stay.
I stayed here unexpectedly on the 19th of December after encountering a major traffic pile up just west of ABQ. 5 hour delay sent me staying here. Check in was a breeze. It is probably one of the cleanest and well cared for lobbies I have encountered from BW. Upon entry, I experienced wonderful smelling candles, hot coffee ready, and an extremely friendly check in girl. Just a very calming area. Hard to explain. You can just tell management or franchisee cares. The rooms all appeared to be updated with new linens and either new mattresses and/ or at least mattress pads.
After hours of long distance driving, this hotel was lovely to stay at. Check in was simple, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was superb. The floor in our bathroom was creaky, but the staff was grateful when we let them know.
Stayed here for about a week now (work related). Best Hotel I been in for a long time. Friendliest staff. Great Breakfast! I would've never thought I can find such an amazing hotel in a very small town like Moriarty.
This place is the best!!! We stayed here the second night of our trek south and could not believe how much better it was than the first night! It truly felt hospital clean! I liked the cookies when you checked in. Convenient location, too with dining options. We will never stay anywhere else!
I was moving across country during COVID and needed an affordable hotel that would allow my dog to stay. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Beds were comfortable, rooms were quiet, staff was friendly. I highly recommend!
Staff was extremely wonderful and helpful. Room was totally clean and sanitized with extra measures for covid-19. I would recommend this Best Western as a great place to stay. If I'm ever back in the area I will stay there again!
This hotel is truly the best!! Everything was amazing . We had a fresh hot breakfast served to us. The rooms were comfy and clean .I love the western decor all through this hotel its just beautiful. Super friendly staff!!
Traveling from Florida back home in Arizona with our dogs. Found the Best Western in Canton, TX via “Bring Fido” app. That one was great. Tried again the next night in Moriarty, TX and it was even nicer!
The Best Western in Moriarty, NM was great. They were hospitable and overly accommodating. Mandy, Chris and Kim over communicated and went above and beyond for our group. We are forever grateful and if given the chance, would be right back.
This property was one of the two best we stayed in on our 19 day 15 state trip. The staff was very helpful at check-in. We had earned some gift cards from best western and the helped us use them. We needed to do some laundry and the made change available. They had a good breakfast, and helped us to find a good place for dinner. It was a very clean and quiet place.
Best hotel we stayed at out of four during our Travels. Very clean hotel staff amazingly kind and friendly. Hot cookies in the early evening and they serve you a hot breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel for an overnight stay
Super super clean! Very kind staff. Breakfast made to order. Delicious. Much better than staying right in Albuquerque if you can make a Moriarty stay work for your trip. Loved not staying in a busy area.
We were there ,because my niece had passed away. Wendy was very nice and showed empathy, which i was very thankful. It was comforting and felt very safe . Our room was clean, and beacause of covid they took extra steps to make sure everything was clean to perfection.
This property is in a nice location for travelers. The front desk was understanding and welcoming to a road weary family as well as proving excellent dining tips. Not only was the room very clean and comfortable, the refrigerator made keeping cold drinks a snap!
Check in was great. The front desk attendant made check in simple. She also had recommendations on things to do and places to eat. The room was clean and comfortable. We had a great nights sleep. We will be stopping back there on our next trip.
Best Western Moriarty is a hidden gem. The facility is clean, quiet, and comfortable, but the staff is what makes it my new favorite place to stay. Every person working there is kind, friendly, and willing to go above and beyond to make your stay the best ever. I can't wait to go back.
The service was superior, the room was exceptional and even during this covid problem, they actually served breakfast! My personal opinion is that you will never find a better place to stay. To top it off...the price was very affordable!
We have stayed a second time in a row on the same room (#136) and while our first stay was great, this time it did not meet our expectations. We took a bath and our room had flooded - not what we would have expected at 1am. All we got was "sorry" and another room. Apparently our issue was not the first time in this room either.
very comfortable and relaxing. clean and during these times no fear of contacting any virus. safety precautions were observed and followed. Staff was very helpful in seeing to my needs and breakfast was actually very good.
Excellent place. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel safe in these COVID 19 times. Very clean! Easy check-in. Nothing to sign, just pick up your key. Great place if your traveling with a dog. Lots of fast food choices near by. We will be back!!
Very friendly, efficient staff; exceptionally clean room; comfortable bed; convenient location off I-40; gas station across street; desk has list of nearby restaurants—a couple of them even deliver for free; quiet AC. One minor issue- no microwave.
We were very happy with the clean room and hotel. The pool and spa were both clean and pleasant to use. The beds were comfortable to sleep in and we had everything we needed for the night! We really enjoyed our stay!
I was traveling solo and always look for a safe place to stay and found it here! The hotel was beautiful, clean and staff was excellent! Breakfast was great and had a few more options than other Best Western hotels I have stayed in.
Highly recomend! The motel was very clean and the staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. We were only there because driving home we got caught in a snow storm and the roads were horrible. We were glad we could find a BW and will stay there again.
Stayed here on our way to Sedona, Arizona. The check in was a good experience, very well staffed this evening. We had a King Room which was nice as well as clean, though the bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were lumpy... something we have experienced at the last couple of stops at a Best Western. The breakfast buffet was average except they had a yogurt machine with a nice assortment of fruit...
We stay here every time we drive to and from Arizona. I know the room will be clean and comfortable, the location is convenient to I-40 and the warm cookies in the evening are a bonus!!! The staff is always friendly and check in and check out are a breeze!
The staff is the friendliest. We traveled with pets and they were so kind to give us dog treats. I love this place. The Hotel is extremely clean. When your traveling do stop here. They will help you settle in.
This is a very nice hotel and is very clean with friendly staff. However they are not really pet friendly. There is nowhere outside for pets to relieve themselves. There is a large fenced in area that is overgrown with bushes and trees that could be repurposed as an off leash pet area. There was no grass anywhere to even walk them with a leash.
From the time I called to make a reservation until we deparated to contunue our trip I was impressed. The staff was pleasant, knowledgeable and seemly to genuinely appreciate our business. The hotel was clean, up to date and provided us with the quiet night we sought. The breakfast offered was well above average. Overall a rare and pleasant surprise.
When you can mix a little business with a little relaxation, it's a win-win. A great staff, incredible breakfast staff, and housekeepers who you could call family. Beautiful hot tub and pool. New decor and updated rooms make for a nice stay.
The gentleman at check-in was so friendly and helpful and went out of his way to improve what had been a long and disappointing day. Word to the wise: avoid the KFC/Taco Bell next door. Nice that the pool is open until 11 PM for late travelers. Lots of variety at breakfast although towards the end of breakfast it was running low on food. Appreciated that hot tea/coffee/hot chocolate were available around the clock. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Would stay again.
Clean, beds were good. Breakfast was great. Per friendly at at extra $20. Places to take the dog for a stretch. Close to restaurants too. Location was really good.. on/off the highway. Would stay here again
Thank you for a wonderful stay. Thank you Anna for being so friendly, welcoming and warm when we arrived... ooo and the chocolate chip cookies rocked, so thank you for that too. Thank you for having us as a pet family on the 1st floor, Thelma ( our fur baby )thanks you as well. Thank you for all the lights in the parking area so that we felt safe walking Thelma after dark. Thank you for the big spacious and comfortable room and bed we could literally sleep away all that crazy road travel in peace. Thank you for the really awesome fresh hot coffee in the morning and the really great selection for breakfast... to include having almond milk ( LOVE That ) Your hotel has become 1 of our favorites and we'll be staying many more times as we make this trip to Texas numerous times a year to see our grand babies. Can't wait to stop again and check out the remodel. Thank you for all that you do. Don & Raechel Johnson
This hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely kind. My husband and I were on our way to Las Vegas and need a place to stay. Although we had never stayed in a Best Western before, we were pleased with everything about this hotel. On the first night we arrived, there were a plate of cookies in the foyer, plus fresh water. On the morning we checked out, there was also a bowl of apples on the counter for patrons to enjoy. There was a complimentary breakfast, but since we rarely eat breakfast, we skipped it. We will definitely be staying here again!
I stayed there for 3 nights and had a great experience, awsome employees and really clean rooms. Nice little fitness center and really pleasant indoor pool. Moriarty is a small town with no uber, lyft or even taxi so I had to get to Albuquerque and I was amazed that they made it happened and one of the beautiful and really nice employee took me to Albuquerque. You guys are the best! keep rocking!
This is, by far, one of the best Best Western properties I have stayed at. I could find nothing to fault any part of the establishment. The breakfast was set up perfectly with a complete varieties of anything a guest could want. The lady caring for the breakfast room was constantly on the move! I would be happy to stay there again.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Check in was a breeze, there was warm, fresh baked cookies and coffee available. The desk clerk was extremely helpful, and even recommended a terrific little diner nearby. The pool was very nice, warm and clean with a nice hot tub. Our room was clean and well appointed and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
Our family of 4 stopped here last night. We had my husband's truck towing my car as we move across the country and there was plenty of parking spaces. The indoor heated pool and hot tub were a great amenity (pool hours are from 8am-11pm). The inclusive breakfast was very good too. Fresh fruit and yogurt for my kiddos, as well as the typical offerings like waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, oatmeal, sausage, scrambled eggs, juice, milk, and coffee. The lobby also offered cookies and cranberry iced water during night time. Great hotel visit.
I travel and I wish all hotel associates were (even half) this friendly, personable and accommodating. The were outstanding! The hotel was clean, comfortable and the food was very good. If every hotel was like this I would enjoy every night of traveling!
When we arrived the front clerk was welcoming and made sure we were all set up as far as parking 2- 35ft trailers. Wendy came in for the night shift and went over and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you to the staff.
Everything was wonderful. Front desk attendants were very helpful & friendly. The decor is nice, the room was spotless. The breakfast room was spacious and everything was hot & fresh. Located right off the highway. Lots of parking for large trucks or trailers. Very happy we decided to stay here instead of going into Albuquerque.
Best Western Heritage in Moriarty, NM is a great place to stay going to Las Vegas and coming back to Kansas if you are driving along Interstate-40 thru Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona then Nevada. We love the drive.
I usually don't stay somewhere for this road trip based on reviews, more on location, but, I do read the reviews and I happened to see the recent one about front desk Travis....I couldn't agree more...what an asset to this property! So welcoming! THX!
Our experience started with a phone call prior to our arrival, he was just checking in with us to see how our trip was going and to see when we would be arriving. When we got there after 10 hrs of driving check in was a breeze and the gentleman that checked us in was very nice. Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The shampoo and conditioner was fancy and smelled good. Free HBO and WiFi was very fast. When we checked out they even gave us a to go breakfast bag since we missed the continental breakfast! The gals at the front desk in the morning were great! We used the restroom next to the lobby before leaving and not only was it exceptionally clean it smelled really good! Way to go Best Western Heritage Inn Moriarty! One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had and were are know for taking 3 or more vacations a year that are a month long.
This is one of the very few places to call us after we checked in to be sure our room was satisfactory. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to be sure we were comfortable. The room was clean and had a great floor plan. The breakfast was well prepared and serviced.
The internet was not working properly and one of the employees barged into our room because she wasn't finished preparing it! All she had left to do was put a pillow case on one of the pillows! She rushed passed me as I opened the door and grabbed the pillow. I did not want her in the room, all I had to do was give her the pillow!
Good, convenient location, clean property and rooms, large breakfast seating area with good variety of hot and cold items would be sufficient for a good rating. However, it is the customer service provided by staff, especially Travis, that rates an"excellent" and guarantees our return business whenever in the area again. I thought the rate to be a bit pricey, but I guess that is a factor of market and competition. Perhaps they could use a portion of the rate for a pay bonus for Travis who is a real asset to this property.
A gem in a small town about 35 miles outside of Albuquerque......located on historic Route 66. Excellent room - comfy bed - and a most friendly and efficient staff. Fine breakfast and a great indoor pool. No complaints.....I have stayed at very few Best Westerns that were better over the course of 25 years. Clean and comfy.......
Our stay was really good, although we did experience the fire alarm going off multiple times in the first night which was really annoying. However the staff was really helpful and always nice to the guests despite the problems. The room itself was cozy, the beds and pillows were really good. The bathroom was pretty clean and well maintained too. For the price it was a great stay, I would return.
I cannot say enough good things about the professionalism of the staff at this hotel. It's easy to give good service when everything is going well, but when there are issues the true test of a great staff is how they handle problems. Highly recommend this hotel.
So grateful for a comfortable bed after a long days drive. Staff was extremely helpful, dining area, lobby and room very clean. Parking lot accommodated a truck and trailer nicely. The only thing I wish was different was that the spa was open a bit later. Would have loved to get settled, had a hot shower, and slid into bubbles to relieve driving stress. I was happier with the service at the last 3 BWs we stayed at then our last 2 stays at another larger chain, supposedly more luxurious.
Our stay couldn't have been nicer, beginning with the pre-checkin. Total time to check in was less than 2 minutes. The entire staff was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good, and the room was nice and clean. Finally, we love the pet friendly policy.
You will love the quaint feeling of this motel in a back water town. It is meticulously appointed for the age of the facility. They have 2 people on duty at the desk who are extremely friendly. They serve cookies in the pm which are so good. The breakfast room is large and very well stocked with good breakfast food both hot and cold. Food is fresh and not day old. There is an attendee in the breakfast area working very had to please at all times. The rooms are nice and the beds are comfy and clean.
A terrific place to stay with some of the best staff I've ever encountered. Travis was on the front desk when I arrived - he was juggling guests checking in, telephone calls, apparently training a new employee and defusing a situation with a pair of unhappy customers, and doing it all with efficiency, good humor and charm - he's a five-star hotel employee. Property is well-maintained, always clean and always crowded - to get a room, reserve before you arrive. Quiet location with plenty of dog-walking space.
As we were heading to Albuquerque, we read a review that another family had written about stopping in Moriarty instead of Albuquerque. So we did the same. Glad we did. Friendly staff, clean room, comfortable bed. There's a mom and pop restaurant within walking distance that has great food and a live band.
Having driven 400 miles the idea occurred to me to not have to struggle with finding a decent hotel inside Albuquerque. Well, it occurred to me because I had seen a billboard for this Best Western two hours before we got to Moriarty. In retrospect and after a two-night stay, it was a good move. The hotel was easy to get to and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. The facility was new and in tip-top shape. Most of all the service of the staff was *excellent.*
Let's face it...you aren't in a big city! This is the best for where it is! The front desk crew is beyond amazing! (Ask the cowboy to sing!) The place is very clean and quiet! So accommodating! Treated you like you were visiting family! The rooms were nice and clean. This is a yes for me!!!
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Always willing to go the extra mile to make sure you have everything you need during your stay. The only thing I needed was more electrical outlets to no fault of the staff.
We had 2 rooms and both were very comfortable. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool, which was very clean. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast hit the spot. There was plenty of parking. This will be our go to hotel when were are driving through Moriarty, NM.
Hotel was beyond accommodating as we arrived from a long day on the road. Morning meal downstairs was just right to get us on the road. The hotel and room were very clean. Very quiet, just off the interstate.
Everyone was friendly, the place was clean, breakfast was great. We enjoyed the pool. Had a great time there with my family, all the staff was friendly and helpful. The room was great. Plenty of parking.
Standard clean hotel rooms with very friendly staff. The welcomed our small dog without hesitation. Beds had nice firm mattresses so got a good night sleep. Standard hotel breakfast in the morning. Will stay there again when in the area.
Our stop at this hotel was so wonderful!! The facility was so nice, clean and comfortable, and service was great!! Their breakfast was excellent - the choices and quality better than any place we've ever stayed- their fresh made yogurt and toppings were phenomenal!! We will stay here every chance we get!!
The front desk staff were kind, friendly, efficient. The pool and spa sparkled. The room was pre-cooled and spotlessly clean. The lobby held travel-friendly features such as a bowl of "grab & go" apples and an urn of ice water with lemon. Perfect, except for the free breakfast. I got to the dining room at 6:30 but the earlier travelers (a cloud of locusts by the look of things) had eaten all the potatoes and sausage, and the remaining scrambled eggs were like rubber. The kitchen staff took a LONG time to supply replacements. Don't let that deter you. It's a wonderful oasis in the NM wilderness.
This place is right off of I 40 but you wouldn't know it from the inside because it's so quiet. The indoor pool and hot tub are very clean and we'll heated! Breakfast is delicious and staff is very attentive. No complaints. Room is clean and beds are comfy. I would definitely stay again! Thank you!
I really enjoyed my stay here rooms are very nice clean and kept up love the pool and hot tub the fitness room they greet u with a smile offer water and coffee cookies at 5pm its close to food places where u can walk to me and my girls enjoy wish we could have stayed longer
Very friendly staff, the property was clean but could use some updating. Breakfast was great and I appreciated always having fresh coffee and fruit water available. Even had a to go breakfast ready for us when we departed at 4 am.
Driving through and needed a room last minute. Staff was great. Everything was clean. Our pets were welcomed. Plenty of parking. The only issues we had were the hot tub jets didn't work and the beds were firm
Property was great! Loved the ice cold lemon/lime water in the lobby after a long car ride. Wanted some coffee and there wasn't any half n half out (it was night but they offer coffee in the lobby) and the sweet girl at the desk got me the quart container from the fridge. Breakfast was fantastic!! The breakfast attendant (Travis) was attentive and on top of everything. Would without a doubt recommend this location.
Been staying here for years, no complaints. Breakfast is standard but it is fresh. Right next to an Arbys. Recommend the Chili Hills resterant down the street (across from the truck stop). Buffet at the truck stop is your best bet.
Was supposed to have 2 rooms for 2 days. They checked us out after the first night. I went to the front desk at 6 am and told them we were supposed to have 2 nights. So he fixed it. Later that day I got a call from someone else saying, I see you extended your stay. I said, no, it was supposed to be 2 nights to begin with, someone made a mistake. She proceeded to tell me she had a red flag reservation on one of my rooms and wanted to me to move, This was in the middle of the day. We were at a horse competition. I explained there was no way I could come back and she went on to tell me these other people specifically asked for this room. I explained it was just a normal room, I didn't make the error and she would have to find them another room. The customer service there was awful. I wouldn't stay there again if I didn't have to. the rooms are mediocre. The only good thing is the have a really friendly, helpful guy named Travis who takes care of the breakfast bar. He should be in charge of the whole place. Very pleaseant, helpful, and seems to really like the guests, unlike the front desk folks.
Beautiful , comfy room! Noisy young people next door. Clerk did nothing to solve situation. We had to deal with them on our own to get them to quiet (was 11 p.m.) Otherwise, the room was clean and quite comfortable!
From making the reservation to checking out, the absolute best experience to date at any hotel we've stayed in in the past 20 years. Employees are above par in every aspect. Rooms were extremely clean. Plush towels, great water pressure, outstanding breakfast with regional flavor, outstanding spa/pool, well equipped exercise room, etc... Nothing bad about our entire experience at this hotel. Sure, it isn't brand new but you won't find a thing wrong with a stay here. Even offer fresh baked cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate at check-in. We will always stop here and never again in Santa Rosa.
We decided to stay here vs going on to Albuquerque. Good call! It's a great place to stay and comfortable and quiet. Rooms are very nice and the staff is amazing and helpful. Very comfortable beds and good size rooms. Conveniently located off I-40 with easy access.
Older and not as well maintained as expected. Room was clean but not as well maintained as expected. Decor was dated and furniture was at the end of it's life. Bed was much harder and not as nice as other Best Westerns. I won't return here. Staff was pleasant.
After a long day of driving from Southern California we were looking to stay near Albuquerque but many hotels were full or had higher rates than we wanted to pay. At the New Mexico Welcome center we learned there was meeting of the Indian Nations going on that weekend in Albuquerque and we received suggestions either West or East of the city. We chose East...Moriarty. It was a nice hotel, close to the interstate, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. Our room was good sized and the internet worked well. The front desk was able to give us some information on dining and shopping nearby. I would give the hotel a 9 out of 10. Next time we make this trek it will definitely be on our list of places we could stay.
Good room , was a little disappointed that the fan wouldn't stay on on the AC , had to put it on fan only - One minor thing , evidently it's had to get good help in this small a town - Was a used coffee pod in the coffee maker - Not a big deal , but kind of makes you wonder what else they missed ..
Have stayed at this BW many times. It's always clean, the people are friendly and helpful. The pool is always a comfortable temperature. Also, it is dog friendly for those who travel with their animal. I truly do recommend this motel.
This was our first experience staying at a Best Western with a dog. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. The room was very clean, and so handy to be on first floor with our dog. I was pleasantly surprised that a pet friendly room was so clean. The breakfast was excellent, and well attended by staff. We will travel staying at Best Westerns from now on.
We drove 14.5 hours that day and we were ready for a rest. The hotel was easy access from the freeway and well marked. Check-in was quick and easy having booked our reservation on line. The room was very spacious and we settled in for a great nights rest! We were back on the road the first thing in the morning rested and ready to go!
Clean and friendly facility. Staff is very helpful. Breakfast was tasty and warm. This was our 3rd stay here and we have experienced the same friendly service each time. Easy access to the interstate.
At check in we were greeted quickly with a smile and offered cookies and hot coffee. The room was nice size and adequately furnished. The suites even have a mini kitchen; microwave, refrig and sink. This hotel suite would be very nice also for an extended time. The spa was hot and comfortable as well as relaxing. We enjoyed the one night relaxing stay.
This Best Western was very accessabile from I-40 Eastbound. Staff was very professional and helpful. The property was well maintained and clean. The room was clean and well maintained. Ammenities were sufficient for our needs,
I would stay at this motel again and I recommend it to anyone needing a good nights rest while traveling this corridor. The food choices for breakfast was amazing and the most I've ever had. The staff was very friendly
I stayed here by chance traveling to Illinois..The facility was clean and appealing in and out and convenienly located off the I-40. I asked the desk staff to recommend a good restaurant and they pointed me to one of the best bar-b-que's I have been to in a long time. It is located on old Route 66 complete with nostalgic shopping. This will be my stop for future trips back and forth from AZ to IL.
Desk clerk was outstanding. We really felt welcome and she was still on duty when we checked out. She was the best in this position by far from all of our travels. She wrote down two items to improve the room we stayed in. The water in the toilet tank ran constantly and the drain pipes under the sink were grody. We joked that plumbers aren't the tidyest of professionals. Her husband is a plumber. A security person (I believe) noticed that I was walking my dog for an extended time. He came out to see if I needed help. I didn't, but suggested to him that the motel provide doggie waste bags to guests arriving with pets. The area behind the motel contained a lot of unpicked-up dog doo. He thought it was a good suggestion. My leash has bags attached to it which I always use. We are absolutely impressed with the hard surface flooring in the rooms, instead of yucky carpeting. Great improvement!!
Booked room through Best Western useing points. Making reservation was fast and easy. Motel was nice and clean room was clean and Quiet. Breakfast was ok some of the food was not real hot Checked out, the room was to be paid for by points so checked by credit card and they had charged me $107.04 for room So had to to make few calls to get Straightened out. Hotel manager was sorry about the mix up and corrected the error so everything worked out Nice place to stay
Stayed here as we traveled cross country without reservations at any particular spot. Had no trouble getting a room here at a great rate! There's plenty of parking and a pool. Our room had a microwave and a fridge and was very clean. (I'm fussy!) Staff was very friendly and breakfast was OUTSTANDING! I highly recommend!
All employees and staff were supper accommodating and nice. I can't say enough how helpful everyone one was. The night manager (gal) was awesome! The continental breakfast was outstanding too! I forgot my pillow and they mailed it back to me in California now that's service. If I'm ever back in the Moriarty NM area I will definitely stay again. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant .
My stays have always been great. The team there is excellent. I stay there when I am working in that area. There are lots of good places to eat even tho it is a small town. The rooms are comfortable and if I have a problem it is taken care of immediately.
We stayed here December 31, 2018 after driving through a snowstorm and deciding to call it a night. We arrived about 7 pm and the hotel had plenty of rooms available. Ana and Stacy at the front desk were informative about the forecast and getting us checked in. They told us if we decided to stay another night, just to let them know in the morning, it wouldn't be any trouble. Our room, 205, was clean and comfortable. There weren't too many electrical outlets though. The bathroom was spacious and had plenty of counter space. The heater was quiet during the night. Our room was near the back of the building facing a street, but we didn't hear any noise. The hotel wasn't too far off the interstate and had plenty of free parking. The breakfast was the typical hotel type - eggs, gravy, sausage.
This Best Western Moriarty Heritage Inn is a very good place to stay and I appreciated to see they maintain the tradition of having a Bible in the room. The breakfast was very good and the eating room was clean! Staff was very good and helpful. Thank you.
Very nice hotel with helpful, friendly staff. Club chair and ottoman in our room! Warm cookies in the lobby when we checked in! Well equipped fitness center and indoor pool. We would definitely stay here again.
If you are ever stranded in Moriarity due to weather, this is the place to be. Due to snow, Interstate 40 was closed in front of us driving on New Year's Day from Albuquerque back to Texas. We were able to get one of the last rooms here and were thrilled to be warm and inside. Two emergency shelters were later set up in town for all the stranded travelers. The staff had been working many days straight because of an earlier storm, but they were professional, welcoming, and accommodating. The only negative was that the walls were a bit thin, but it was a great place to wait out the storm.
This hotel is the best!! Very pleasant and accommodating employees, very well appointed, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast offerings, etc.! I will stay at this place every time I pass through here!
The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable Staff Was very kind and. Friendly. Breakfast Food was very good and staff serving it was awesome. Water and coffee and cookies were served and FREE the night that we arrived. They made sure that we enjoyed our stay.
I was a little worried about the location because I was unfamiliar with the area but it turned out to be a very quiet place right off of the highway. The staff were very friendly. I will stay there in the future if I'm ever in Moriarty again.
Have stayed here many times. It is just a 'regular' property - but it is always clean, the staff is always friendly. The pool and hot tub are clean and comfortable. The BW in Moriarty is a great place to stay and we recommend it highly.
Our whole family (7 members) were extremely happy with the Best Western in Moriarity The hotel staff and housekeeping were friendly and extremely helpful, especially when there was a sudden snowstorm the first night of our stay. We were in Moriarity for a funeral and most of us stayed for 3 days. We could not have been more satisfied with the excellent breakfast, rooms and support. To Kim, the manager, Sarah, Stacy, Clairemarie..Thank you!!
We stayed here on the way to Utah and then coming back from Utah. Prices much better than in Albuquerque! Very clean, spacious rooms. Bed was great. Excellent check-in..so easy. Breakfast was great as well. Oatmeal...cereal eggs meat..all you need. Work out room was good...except not sure why treadmills don't FACE the TV. ?? Other than that...No complaints!
We stayed at this hotel on our way from Oklahoma. We considered stopping at other towns along the way but the deal I found was best here and I'm so glad we ended up at the Best Western in Moriarty. We arrived a little after 9pm and the front desk attendant was very welcoming and got us checked in quickly. Provided the info for the beverages available at the desk at all times and gave us the info for the breakfast the next morning. We had a few minutes to enjoy the indoor heated pool and hot tub which was clean and warm. The rooms were a great size with fridge and microwave in the room. Cable had a large channel line up with direct TV. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was well stocked and had a good variety of options including hot items (eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes), pastries, toast, waffles, fruit, yogurt, coffee, juices, and water. Even more exciting for this native New Mexican, green chiles and chirizo was available as well!Highly recommend this hotel if your in the area for your travels.
I was greeted, when I walked through the door, by a great atmosphere and super kind desk woman. There was ice water, lemonade, coffee and cookies out in the lobby. The room was very clean and smelled great. In the morning, another cheerful desk woman greeted me and chatted for a bit. There was a basket of apples out for the people who needed to leave before the breakfast was out. Excellent experience, I wish all hotels were like this!!
The room and everything in it was clean. The check-in staff were GREAT! The young man plays the piano and we had a lovely discussion as I checked in, which happened quickly. Good cookies and the breakfast was amazing. Indoor pool, jacuzzi, and the fitness room was clean. While I did hear noise from the hallway, the room itself seemed better insulated than most hotels' paper-thin walls, which I greatly appreciated. The young woman, ClairMarie (sp?) was incredibly helpful with enabling my Kindle on the wifi, and I greatly enjoyed discussing family with her and her interest in becoming an ultrasound technician. Great hotel to stay at as a midway point between central Oklahoma and Arizona.
Clean, comfortable, and easy interstate access. Less expensive than Albuquerque options and if your traveling East on I-40, it gets you 30 minutes past Albuquerque traffic. Not a lot of restaurant options in Moriarty though, so stop in Albuquerque for any meals. Pool and spa were nice, room was comfortable. Breakfast was hot and included a good variety, including red and green Chile! Desk clerks were all extremely friendly and welcoming. John and Jennifer are who we dealt with. Parking lot could be lit better, but overall a very good stopover and we would stay again.
The staff went above and beyond to help out my wife and I. We had flown a small plane to the local airport, and borrowed the courtesy car to drive to the hotel. During the night there was a hard freeze, and in the morning we couldn't get the car started. The hotel manager was very kind to give us a ride to the airport. Without her help, I'm not sure how we would have gotten home.
The rooms were immaculate, breakfast was very, very good, the staff were wonderful and helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and we felt like the hotel really cared about their guests and the service they received.
Clean hotel with little perks that made our stay even more enjoyable. Hot fresh cookies after 5pm in the lobby, as well as coffee, hot tea and pink lemonade 24/7. I had a hard time keeping the kids out of the indoor pool to go see other things. Very convenient location to get back on the interstate and plenty of parking if you're pulling a trailer or driving a motorhome.
Best western heritage moriarty is right on Old Rte 66. John and Levi checked us in last night. They were nice and friendly, offered us coffee and lemonade. There is an indoor pool and hot tub both with their own handicap lift. A full hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fresh yogurt, toast, cereal, bagels, milk, juice and of course coffee. They have a public laundry and workout room as well as ice maker room and soda/ snack vending machines. The room was big and clean, with a fridge, micro and small table/ chairs. The bathroom was big ( we had handicap room) with good handrails, large walk-in shower with bench and good handrails inside shower also. The air conditioner worked well. All of the staff we encountered was very friendly. I would stay here again no doubt. I thought the price was good also.
We stayed at the Best Western while in town to watch our high school senior in a volleyball tournament in Moriarty. There were at least 5 different schools staying here as well so I was a little nervous about how quiet it would be. The management said that all the teams were on one end of the hotel and regular guests on the other. I have to say this was one of the best stays in ANY hotel we have stayed in. I don't know what most travelers are lookin for in a hotel, but I look for cleanliness and upkeep of the hotel first, clean rooms, beds, bathroom next. This hotel was excellent and the beds were extremely comfortable. I take my own pillow when I travel so I can't tell you if the pillows were comfortable. Air worked perfect and the room was comfortable. Several fast food choices next door and a breakfast in the hotel. I will definitely stay here again if in the area! By the way... never heard a peep out of any of the young ladies playing in the tournament! Good job BW!
Clean, well maintained hotel. Staff is very nice and the owners of this hotel seem to care about the property. This is the fourth year we have visited Moriarity for a bike race and the Best Western has been consistent on every occasion.
I was driving back east from visiting family in California. I had been travelling for close to three weeks when I stopped at the Best Western in Moriarty NM. The staff was friendly and professional and it was the best room I had in my travels (this was the fifth out of five hotels I stayed at during my trip). I liked the layout of the room and honestly wanted to stay in bed because the bed was really comfortable. This place was more than worth the money.
A decent place to stay when traveling through the area. Friendly and helpful staff- rooms a bit outdated but clean and neat. Very good- above average for sure- morning breakfast!!! A good place to stop
Wonderful experience! Started with excellent service from John upon check-in. A professional, knowledgeable, considerate employee. Room was clean and comfortable. Amenities were of a good quality. I was impressed after 5 nights on the road.
We broke down in Moriarty. Your staff was so very helpful and gracious in our time of need. The rooms were clean and welcoming. The recommendations for a mechanic and for restaurants were very helpful. Thank you
We normally stay at holiday inns but was pleasantly surprised by the best western, the hotel was overall clean and comfortable and breakfast was really good. We travel thru this area often so we will pre ably stay again
The room was very clean and very nice, but the other important amenities for us- indoor pool and full breakfast were disappointing. The beds were very comfortable and provided plenty of towels, s ok that was a plus. However..... our granddaughter wanted to swim. The pool water was a light green. I am not exaggerating! But we attempted it anyway, until I found wads of hair floating. I went to the front desk and the gentleman was very nice said he would go try to clean the hair out. But the water was green! The breakfast served cold eggs and ran out of items and the worker did not replace them. I would not stay here again.
We stayed at this hotel on our way from Colorado to Texas. It was a last minute reservation because our camper blew a tire and we needed a close place to stay for the night. We got in late, about 10:30, and had our two young boys with us. We'd been traveling all day and everyone was exhausted; our boys were almost asleep. The gentlemen who checked us in was very nice and made sure the Walmart Auto Center was open the next morning so we could get a new tire. We stayed on the 2nd floor and the room smelled of smoke when we walked in. Our boys were so exhausted and so were we that we decided changing rooms wasn't convenient. We regretted it. It was hard to sleep in a smelly room and our hair and clothes all smelled of smoke the next morning. It was really evident after going to breakfast and returning to the room. Upon checkout I informed the lady at the front desk. She said a manager would contact me but since we booked through Hotels.com and not directly getting a discount/refund would be challenging. It's a budget hotel and it would have satisfied our needs if not for the smoke smell. Pros: friendly staff, decent breakfast and coffee (fresh strawberries for oatmeal or waffles), clean looking room, quiet, place for us to park our pop-up Cons: horrible smoke smell in our room, lumpy pillows
This is one of the best best westerns we have stayed at. Very clean and super friendly staff. Comfy beds and great breakfast with fresh yogurt! A few restaurants within walking distance. We would definitely stay here again.
I very rarely write reviews - only when I am particularly impresessed. Everything I would expect in a hotel was there and more. The hotel and rooms were clean and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and made every effort to meet our needs. The pool, hot tub,and fitness center were all excellent. The room was comfortable and was equipped with both a refirgerator and microware. They had a great variety at breakfast. We will definitely stay here next time we are traveling through this area.
This motel is located right on Route 66, and while I did not stay here during a bicycle trip/tour, this motel has all the amenities you would expect and want during respite on a bike tour. The staff were friendly and helpful, pool and hot tube well maintained, clean fitness room (in case you need an upper body workout ;) ) and clean, comfortable rooms. The beds were quite comfortable, ensuring a good night's rest. Also, the complimentary breakfast was much better than one would expect, offering hearty and healthy options as well as red and green chile- a must on any menu when in New Mexico. Overall, very comfortable and a good value.
Friendly, helpful staff. Full breakfast, pool, fitness center, all the amenities. What more could you ask for? Pet friendly. The beds are comfortable and the entire place is clean. I stay here more than at home and it is quite comfortable.
We really enjoyed our stay here - we were headed east and wanted to push through Albuquerque so this was the perfect stopping point for the evening. The breakfast was fantastic (thanks for the green chili)!! Super friendly helpful staff!
We stayed here on the first leg of a month long road trip. We initially had planned another location, but decided to call it a night early. The staff was amazing. They couldn't be more accommodating and welcoming. We enjoyed warm cookies and punch (which we may or may not have pumped up a bit) while checking in. Our room was decent sized, with a fridge and microwave. We had the pool to ourselves, and it was warm and relaxing. The morning breakfast was very good-we loved the salsas that you normally do not find at hotel breakfasts. It isn't a place we'd probably end up again, but if you are in the area, I'd highly recommend staying. The staff is phenomenal.
We stayed in 5 Best Westerns on our recent trip from Kentucky to Arizona and back, and the Moriarty Heritage Inn in New Mexico was, by far, the best. It was easy to find, near the expressway--no difficult maneuverings on busy city streets. The employees were very friendly and welcoming. The room had a very helpful
Nice facility and superior staff. The room was clean and quiet, and we were offered everything that is advertised. One of the amenities I didn't see listed was a fitness center. They have a very nice universal gym and several other machines. We plan to stay at this BWI again - it was much nicer than the alternatives we used in the past in Albuquerque.
We arrive late in the evening and the check in process was quick. The young woman at the front desk was great!!! Very professional and friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great experience.
I had a wonderful interaction with Stacey at the front desk.....super friendly, super helpful! She was absolutely great. The room was very clean and smelled good. The beds were comfortable. The breakfast had lots of choices....eggs, biscuits & gravy, waffles, oatmeal, etc. There were lots of nice touches (fresh berries for a topping, very nice coffee station, etc.) and the woman who was taking care of the breakfast was really attentive and hard-working. She made sure everything was perfect! What more could you ask for in a hotel? I would definitely stay here again.
this is not a luxury hotel, but for the price, you can't beat it. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub are great. The staff is friendly. And the breakfast is well above average.
This hotel is a little old. There were no plugs at or near the bed. The room was quite and very clean. The shower pressure was not very strong. However, if I were to visit Moriarty again, I would pick this Best Western as my place to stay.
Awesome staff, the entire weekend was delightful. If your ever in Moriarty this hotel is delightful.my children loved the pool, fresh warm cookies every night and a fantastic staff. They make your home away from home enjoyable and go out of their way for each and every guest.
Good cookies upon arrival. I'm a vegetarian but if you aren't the breakfast has a ton of hot food options. Lemonade and fruit infused water in lobby. Comfortable bed. WiFi was so so but not a huge problem. There were a few strands of hair in the bathroom but everything seemed clean. Would stay again on a road trip.
We where able to secure a room very quickly over the phone and the staff was very helpful. When we arrived the lady at the front desk made check in very quick. Very clean big rooms, good size bathroom and great breakfast.
Heritage Inn is a good spot for a good sleep on the road. Always gives an impression of cleanliness and efficiency. Plus it's so very easy to access from the Interstate. Would be excellent if other humans, aka other guests, would be a whole lot quieter when they arrive after-hours, or leave extra-early. Not too fun to be jolted out of sleep.
Nice friendly staff, good location. Pets allowed, great service and food. Quiet area but close to gas and not far off interstate 40. Other restaurants available in area from sit down dining or fast food.
Best Western's are not normally my go-to. I gotta be honest. Over time, I've been spoiled. There weren't many choices in this town, but I also could have stayed in the town next door. I'll try to keep you posted when I next visit, but I'd return here. When something wasn't working correctly, management sent someone right away! AND they fixed the issue!! When I wanted to be out of the room to work in the lobby with a cup of hot Joe in hand? The coffee was hot! There was even freshly popped popcorn. When the fire alarm was set off (some jerk broke a sprinkler head), management was calm, focused, helpful, and still pleasant. Can't get much better than that. I'm gonna have to share: I'd return!
We had a great stay. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was wonderful. Ashley at the front desk was fantastic! Parking was easy and accessible. Close to the freeway so we didn'the have to travel too far out of our way.
Front desk person was very friendly and helpful, which counts for a lot in my book. (A courteous and friendly greeting should be a given, but I find that it often isn't these days.) I appreciated the western decor -- a refreshing change from the generic chain hotels. Very good selection at breakfast. We asked for a dinner recommendation, and the front desk person directed us to Chili Hills, just a short distance away, where the service and food were excellent.
Normally we have preferred a different hotel chain. However they didn't have any open rooms for the night so after checking Trip Advisor, we booked a room at Best Western and it was definitely a good choice. Room was clean and the bed was nice and firm. The hotel was quiet and they had a nice breakfast. We were impressed that they even took care of the little things, like having a couple free bottles of water in our room. Staff was friendly. Overall good stay
Hotel was friendly, clean and very helpful. The staff in the evening made us extra cookies and popcorn. We were a group of 16 and the lobby area was a bit small but we were allowed to rearrange the furniture to meet our needs. The breakfast are was also small but again we came into the lobby area and made ourselves at home. The sales manager was even there when we checked in which was very nice to put a face with a name.
Bed was comfortable, much more comfortable than I expected. Lots of pillows. Check in was easy and friendly. Breakfast was probably the best I've had at a best western. Fresh berries, chia seeds, fresh chili's, etc. plenty of room for our Uhaul and trailer in parking lot. nice place to sleep on long road journey.
From calling to request a room to leaving, this place did above and beyond. Took into consideration my kids and asked if we would like to be next to the pool (which the kids loved!) Breakfast was FANTASTIC and the employees couldn't have been better
Very friendly staff greeting as we checked in. We were greeted with cookies and popcorn to start us off. Later they helped with places to eat. Room attractive and beds comfortable and quiet. Definitely recommend.
This hotel would have been perfect if they had not given us a handicapped room!!! When checking in, they didn't volunteer the information either. Not impressed by that!! Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars.
Very welcoming-cookies and popcorn and welcome bag with water and snack bars. Clean, quiet, comf beds. Nice selections for breakfast. Very quick check in. We were made to feel like we were truly valued customers
Very friendly staff. Wonderful pool and hot tub. Breakfast was delicious. Great variety. Eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, muffins, yogurt, juices, waffles, sausage, bacon. Room was clean and quiet. Will stay again.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Location worked for me because I had a dog, lot's of areas to walk her. Room very comfortable and warm on a very cold night. Surrounding area had convenient store's and re restaurants
Dining choices somewhat limited on Sunday night, but worth it to stay here. Good Mexican food just down the street. Staff very helpful, and went out of their way to help out when I left a pillow. Excellent breakfast. Cook very accomodating.
I have a small dog that travels with me and I am always comfortable staying at a BW because I know the room will be clean. With the exception of one stay in Savannah GA (not very nice) I don't feel like a second class citizen and just stuffed in a room that has leftover furniture etc. and cleaned when and if there is time. Keep up the good work.
Loved the cleanliness and the great staff at the Best Westerns we have stayed at. The free Breakfast is great, wonderful pool and hot tubs, neat and clean rooms. The Staff is always very helpful and courteous.
I stopped here on my drive from CA to KY. This was a very nice, clean, and comfortable hotel. All the staff that I spoke with, were very friendly and the breakfast was very good. I only stayed a few hours as I was passing through between long days of driving, but I'd recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again.
We loved our overnight stay at the BW. The staff was very nice and friendly, especially the breakfast room lady. The rooms were very comfortable and we loved the art work, If we are ever in the area again, we would stay here agai.
Great service great staff would definitely stay there again. We travel back and forth to Yuma az every year and this is the nicest and most convenient stopover we have had and at a great price. Would recommend to our friends
We were pleased with the room, the cleanliness and conveniences. We enjoyed the breakfast selection, and the food was delicious! The convenience of this Best Western to the highway was very handy to the Interstate, making our travel easy, yet it was quiet, with no noise noted from the highway. The staff was very courteous, and helpful. We would stay there again, if traveling though the area.
Everything you need when you are on a roadtrip! Friendly and helpful staff, large clean room, good air conditioning, very quiet, excellent shower and nice big comfortable bed. Would happily stay here again. Not much around it but for a one night stop it absolutely did the job.
Very nice staff don't let the outside of this property fool you it's way nicer inside my complaint is that the pillows suck if they would just give several options instead of 4 fat bulky hard pillows I walould be happy with this hotel
I've stayed in a lot of Best Westerns all over the United States and I'd have to say that this one ranges right smack in the middle of the pack, and I'm feeling rather lukewarm about it. Maybe this is the place you come to watch elections results after already throwing your vote away on a third party candidate. As with almost all Best Westerns, this hotel is very clean inside and out. But, the room décor and furnishings are, let's say very “average.” Unfortunately, it has the look and feel of an economy hotel (the only real color in the room is on the TV). The carpeting is a dizzying array of tan, navy, and maroon stripes. The wallpaper (pealing at some of the seams) is a bland beige mix that is supposed to emulate a faux finish. The lighting fixtures are cheap (the light above the nightstand near my headboard is inoperative). There's a wooden table, about 2 ½ ft. square, in lieu of a desk. On the table is a tiny single serve coffee pot. The bathroom, like everything else, is very plain and very ordinary. The toilet is a bit loose (it bangs against the back wall when you sit down), as are the bathroom floor tiles - which need to be re-grouted (What IS that color? It doesn't go with ANYTHING – it's not gray and it's not beige – faded taupe?) It looks like it might have been on sale at a big box store (and installed by the kid who puts the bicycles together). Plus, the bathroom door could use a fresh coat of varnish. All things considered, this hotel is decidedly unexciting - simply adequate; nothing more and nothing less. [Something in the air (or in this room) is making my eyes water and my nose run - that's scary!] Maybe they should replace the wooden table and chairs with an old-fashioned card table and some aluminum folding chairs, and put some of those pictures of dogs shooting pool, or black velvet Elvis paintings, on the walls. At least that would show a commitment to SOMEthing. (Sorry, I just felt the need to inject some levity into an otherwise very, very dull situation here.) The complimentary breakfast was even less exciting. The diced breakfast potatoes and sausage looked like they had been there a while and the eggs (powdered?) were likewise unattractive. (CAUTION: If you are from the Deep South, please be seated before reading further): There was sausage gravy but no biscuits (lots of salsas and Tabasco sauce for the tortillas – but no biscuits). Feeling a bit on the adventurous side, I tried the cinnamon waffles (meh!) and the blended yogurt. Although this hotel does some key things well (the cowboy prints everywhere are duly appreciated) there are so many little flaws that I feel compelled to give it less than the average three stars. I will make it a point to plan around not having to ever stay here again.
The hotel was relatively new. The bed was comfortable. Everything was clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was quite good with cooked sausage and scrambled eggs as well as the usual muffins, waffles, and bagels...as well as some fresh fruit.
Quiet area, helpful and friendly staff. We stayed in a suite and the sofa was in need of replacement. Sagged badly and was not comfortable to sit on. There was no chair to sit in except for the hard chairs at a table. Breakfast is standard for motels. Overall the experience was good. A tad expensive for what was offered.
very nice place to stay stall super helpful and curteous very best deal for your dollar. we enjoyed our stay very much, happy we found this hotel we would certainly come back here if our travels took us to this area. Thank you, MD
2nd stay at this property. Nice staff. Good location. Pet friendly. Near KFC so easy to pick up dinner to take back to the room. Great indoor pool. Easy to take our houndie out for potty break. Stairs or elevator.
Clean and comfortable bed. Like that they take pets. Welcoming staff. Easy parking for car with travel trailers. Heat and air unit works well. Have stayed there several trips. Pool and gym met family needs. Easy check in and check out
Stayed the night here first leg of our journey. So glad we did. Room was spotless, comfortable bed, good pillows. Like the hook on the wall for a hat and tissue box was mounted on the wall to save space. Will stop here again.
This is one of the BEST hotels we stay in on our trip. Clean safe friendly. The room was wonderful and I slept so good. The girls on the front desk were great when we checked in we were given popcorn and chocolate chip cookies. The breakfast had so much to choose from eggs, bacon, sausage, Danish, hot cereal with wonderful toppings, cia seeds, almonds, raisins, great coffee and juice. We will stay there again.
Excellent check in staff. Greeted and taken care of in a very inviting and professional way. Room was very clean with a few added perks. Quiet location. Beds were comfortable. Standard breakfast but all items were fresh.
Nice stay. I was pleased with the stay. I would stay here again. The bed was a little too hard for me. Room was clean and comfortable. Close to fast food restaurants so I was able to walk to and from the restaurants of my choice.
In the middle of nowhere, this is a surprise finding for such a small town at Moriarty. Not much in the way of local restaurants. Was a comfortable night's rest. Staff well-trained. Highly recommendable.
We had a problem with an odor in the room and the manager and staff immediately got us into another room. They were very apologetic and did everything to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was very good. All the staff we dealt with were friendly and efficient.
Great value for your money. Clean rooms. Great food. Friendly staff and helpful. Easy check in and easy check out. Great cookies and popcorn at the front door along with coffee. Great internet wifi. Clean swimming pool with lots of towels. Pool friendly for the little ones. We've stayed here many times from 5 days to a full week at a time.
Stayed at this location on our driving trip to Grand Canyon, Dog friendly. Professional and friendly staff. Attractive and decorated for fall. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Used the pool and fitness room, both of which were bright, clean, and modern. The breakfast was presented well, and the girl taking care of it kept everything fresh, well stocked and clean. Stayed there again on our way home, since we were so happy with it. Received the same great service. Liked the cookies and popcorn at check in!!
We stayed here as we traveled the U.S. This was a very neat and clean place to stay and the staff were very friendly and pleasant to talk with. The breakfast was very good with a lot of offerings to choose from
Check in was quick, there were fresh cookies and bags of popcorn at the front desk-nice touch. The cookies were very fresh. The bed was very comfortable and I had a great sleep. The pillows were great as well. Breakfast was adequate and filled the gap.
The Best Western in Moriarty is a great place to stay the beds are very comfortable. They allow pets. They also have a good hot breakfast in the mornings. The staff were very helpful and even gave us a recommendation for a place to eat supper. The rooms were clean and quite large.
The accommodations were great. Wonderful staff. Very helpful. They made us feel right at home. Very clean rooms. Great breakfast selection. We will definitely stay here again when we next travel through.
The hotel was easy to find. The room was ready and clean. We were able to walk to get food. The weather was good, and we were able to get fuel easily the next morning. We will stay there again when we are in the area.
Spent one night here while traveling west. Very nice hotel with friendly staff...popcorn, coffee, etc. in lobby. We had a very nice room with comfortable bed. It was clean as well. Breakfast, and staff for that, was also very good.
I give it 5 stars...best hospitality and the nicest hotel in Moriarty. The hotel itself is gorgeous with a home appeal. The staff is courteous and extremely helpful. The internet is awesome and fast and the hotel has an indoor pool which makes any stay fun for the kids. The hot breakfast is another feature this hotel has that makes
This hotel was unexpectedly fantastic! Just outside of Albuquerque, which is nice if you don't want to deal with getting in to a larger city after a long drive. I had middling hopes considering the comparative remoteness of the location, and was surprised by how nice it was. Hot coffee, delicious freshly baked cookies, and popcorn was available at the check-in counter, which was very much appreciated after a long drive. The lobby was clean and welcoming. Our rooms were similarly clean and well-appointed. Staff was friendly. Even the breakfast wasn't bad for being a hotel breakfast. I felt pleased and grateful to have chosen this hotel to stay in, in the midst of a multi-day drive across the southern U.S. I highly recommend this hotel! You cannot go wrong staying here! Oh, and bring your swimsuit, because there is an indoor pool and hot tub that looked very inviting.
We stayed in Moriarty because Albuquerque was too expensive because of their Balloon Fiesta. We were greeted with ready smiles and offers of any assistance if we needed it. Being about 30 minutes outside of Albuquerque made it an easy commute to the Balloon Fiesta. Our room was well taken care of by the hotel staff and had a very comfortable bed during our 3 day stay. The staff were very friendly and ready to help if needed. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Room was fine. We arrived late and left early so we had little time. Staff assisted with directions and suggestions for sightseeing and meals. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for value over fluff.
In traveling from Michigan to Arizona, we stayed at 2 BW's. This one by far surpassed the first one we stayed at! Very clean, excellent staff. My only complaint was about the bed pillows. They are so small and thick! I have to use a pillow between my knees for sleeping and these really caused some major back issues.
Very pleasant experience staying at this Hotel. Very courteous staff and very nice amenities, The breakfast was outstanding. We enjoyed our stay very much. We definitely would recommend this Best Western Hotel to friends and Family.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was like using a garden hose to shower with. Breakfast was not great. Powdered eggs, watery orange juice, etc. Staff was pleasant. Overall, okay for a night but not much more.
Resort fees charged when using points An $84 room at 12000 points going out and 20000 points on return trip. Each time a $30 resort fee charged plus tax. Making it cost $66 for both stops total. I never encountered this before.
This facility is an excellent choice when traveling with or without a small pet. It had everything that we needed to make our stay a pleasure. Be sure to try it, and you won't be disappointed with your choice.
Very nice hotel. Popcorn, coffee, cookies, and apples in lobby. Courteous and professional staff. Comfortable and clean room. Excellent breakfast (all except the eggs which perhaps are powdered...very dry and tasteless).
Moriarity has several motels, I think the Best Western is the best option. It was very clean and attractive, although the pool area was out of service when we were there. Good breakfast with helpful attendant.
I wasn't expecting much when I made the reservation but my wife and I were pleasantly surprised. The facility was well kept, clean and provided a good breakfast. The staff members we interacted with were very nice and helpful. Our room was very clean, very quiet and the bed very comfortable. Overall, it was a good value for money experience.
The staff was warm and welcoming. They had complimentary snacks at check in. Clean, comfortable, updated room. Tasty breakfast in the morning with plenty of variety. I would stay here again next time I'm in the area.
After driving most of the day to get to this area, we called to ensure that our reservation would be held for late arrival. We were then told that they did not have our reservation even though we had made it earlier in the week. The person on the phone then suggested that my mother was lying about making the reservation. She then told us that they did not have a room with two beds. We were forced to find a different hotel to stay at. This will be the last time that we attempt to stay here. If the staff does not care enough to even properly make reservations, and then wants to try and blame it on the guest, then they obviously do not deserve patronage.
The staff in this motel are the best. Made us feel we were the only guest there. The beds were comfortable and the room very clean. I am tempted to join the best western rewards program.I will stay there again.
Excellent overall, very clean, staff very attentive, great breakfast and when we checked out the staff had prepared a to-go lunch for travelers ( at no cost ). Definitely will stay here when traveling thru this area.
Excellent hotel for the value. Friendly and efficient staff. Breakfast was good. Very quiet and clean. Breakfast c hoices were good. Food was fresh and flavorful. Would recommend this hotel for anyone needing lodging while traveling thru NM.
Stopped in Moriarty for a quick one night stay on our way home from a vacation in San Diego. This BW was a great choice, staff very friendly and helpful, beds VERY comfortable and room very clean. Breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. Would definitely stay again!
Very nice Hotel, excellent breakfast ,professional breakfast staff. Quit rooms, excellent beds, very comfortable stay. The front desk staff was very helpful in recommending dinning options. The internet services worked fine. The TV had all the sporting channels available
This hotel is outstanding. It is beautifully decorated, the room was large and well equipped, and the staff is excellent. It was an excellent value for the very reasonable price. We were quite frankly surprised that this hotel is not rated a BW Plus. We'll definitely stay there again the next time we travel that way.
Very comfortable hotel with many amenities. Close to my family. Breakfast good. Gym adequate. Pool clean. WiFi kept dropping so had to re-enter several times. Many tv channels. Etc., etc. etc., etc. etc. etc.
A nice surprise traveling with two small dogs. Great staff, very clean rooms and price was one of the lowest so far. I plan on staying here next year traveling across country again, I'm not sure about the food because I couldn't leave the dogs alone.
Stayed one night here and was very happy with my room. Bed was very comfortable ensuring a good nights sleep. Staff was helpful and quickly replaced the batteries in the TV remote. Although the hotel is next to the highway my room was very quiet. Will stay again.
This is a good hotel for road-trippers. Located right off I-40 about 40 miles east of Albuquerque. I was exhausted after a day of driving and the front desk ladies could not have been more helpful and accommodating. They recommended a dinner spot (which was great) and also provided me with a to-go breakfast bag the night before when I told them I would need to get back on the road before the breakfast room opened. Great service which is the norm at Best Western! Ground floor rooms in the back can access a rear door and parking very close to the room. Handy if you're traveling with road trip accessories (coolers, food, etc.)
I love you guys at best western it's my home away from home!!! I also love the cookies as well as the rooms. I refer all my family and friends to the best western please keep up the great work thank you for all that you guys do
If you are pulling a trailer this motel is a very good choice due to ample parking. Pet friendly, clean room, Front Desk Kristina - great, pool and more, all for a good price. It is a great location, safe and relatively quite. Food and cheap gas near by.
We stay often with Best Western but this is the 1st time we have been offered a free room upgrade to a suite for the same price. We were thrilled. And we received a welcome gift - some free bottles of water and a few snacks. Great hotel!
Courteous, helpful staff. Clean rooms, full, hot breakfast. Paid about $10 more for this hotel than other local hotel, but carpet was clean and did not have that nasty musty smell. Inside pool. Fast food within walking distance. Close to freeway.
The bed was very lumpy, was made up in a fashion that required me to remake it in order to cover myself. Sheets did not fit the bed well. I did not sleep well at all. The breakfast was OK but did not stand out as well as some of the other hotels we stayed at on this trip. Hotel staff was the only thing that stood out for this hotel.
The hotels was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the parking lot was big enough to hold trucks with trailers and other vehicles. The breakfast wasn't fancy but it was good. There aren't many places to eat with in walking distance, but there are fast food places close.
This is the best hotel in the city of Moriarty that we have found. Always consistent with cleanliness, good condition and quiet. Breakfast options are always good to get us on the road to Colorado the next morning. We have stayed at this location many times and never have been disappointed.
This was our first stop on our Route 66 trip. What a great new and clean hotel. Very friendly clerk welcomed us at reception. Nice indoor pool and lots of places to eat close to the hotel. Good breakfast to set you up for the day!
Staff was good. beds were great, internet wifi was ok (as expected). Breakfast bar was what you would expect and was well staffed. I would recommend to family and business travelers. The location was easy to get to and felt safe and secure.
This is a relatively new hotel. Very nice and comfortable. Front desk clerk was very helpful! Breakfast is great! I really like the layout of the breakfast room. I usually like to know this, so will state, being a new hotel it DOES have an elevator.
They say pet friendly but only allow two pets per room so if u have more then two pets don't stop here, wish we could of stayed they seemed to have nice rooms,we found a better motel that allowed more then one pet
Very clean room, great staff. Not much to eat in Moriarty for a vegetarian but grabbed a slice at the Pizza Hut outlet in the Travel America. Good area behind the hotel for walking the dogs. A little spendy but New Mexico along I-40 tends to be that way, not sure why...a Rte 66 thing?
Our family of 6 spent a night at the Moriarty Best Western Hotel. We had previously spent 5 nights in a Best Western Suite room for families. We new that the sofa bed would not be the most comfortable bed in the room and asked the front desk if we could get an extra room, that wasn't available, but our Check-in crew knew just what to do to help with comfort! The went out of their way to send up extra bedding comforters to help with the cushion of the sofa bed! The extra towels need for a family of 6 were delivered before we arrived in the room. Breakfast was great with a good variety of options for all the different likes of family. The kids especially loved the bacon and orange juice:) We also liked that the family suite was roomy...beds were a little small (double) instead of a queen, but for a quick night stop, it was sufficient for our needs.
Were greeted with warm cookies--how can you not be happier then! Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Our family loved the swimming pool. Breakfast had a good variety and the quality of food was good. Because I have five kids I have to book two rooms. They gave us joining rooms. You wouldn't think that is a big deal but after stops in Missouri, Illinois and Nebraska we realized how hard it is for hotels to put two rooms together. Overall this is a nice hotel and I would choose it again.
We waited at the check in desk to check in because nobody was there. The room they gave us still had trash in the baskets. The breakfast room was dirty and the eggs and meat were cold because the device was not turned on.
I stayed here on a trip for the funeral service of a good friend since 6th grade :-( When visiting visiting my old home town of Estancia, New Mexico, I always stay at this Best Western because of the quality service and fair price!
The BW in Moriarty is a great choice if traveling I-40. The town is small, quiet, but has plenty of food/gas options. The hotel is also extremely quiet, though close to I-40. Bed was top-notch, comfortable. Great all around. Much superior to staying in ABQ if you are simply traveling thru.
We have stayed here a few times with great service and well appointed rooms. It is easy to find. I will continue to stay here on my biannual trips across the country. The staff is helpful when resources are needed and locations require directions.
A great place to relax after a hot day of driving. The rooms were spacious, the beds most comfortable, the pool and spa refreshing, the breakfast delicious and the staff friendly. We were especially impressed by the lovely, efficient staff in the breakfast room.
the rooms were very quiet and could not tell anyone else was even there. Was very happy with our stay. We also was allowed to pick if we wonted to stay on the first floor or upper floors. Most do not give you that choice. A very nice and clean motel . Will stay again if in the area.
When I checked in, the owner was working the desk and could not have been any nicer. The stay here was a pleasant experience all around. It shows that the owners take a lot of pride in their hotel; it was very clean, well run and had lots of nice little touches to make it look nice. The rates are very reasonable. This is the place to stay if you are in the area!
Really nice hotel very nice people lovely breakfast we enjoyed our stay very much Moriarty is close to the city without the hassle or traffic, quiet and easy to get to the highway, would stay there again
Everyone was very friendly. Our room was clean. We enjoyed breakfast it was well presented and hot. It was nice to be able to run down and get a cup of coffee then go back for breakfast a little later. At check in there were cookies for a great little snack.
8 pm, no reservation, but they had accommodations for a pet room! Surprise was 1st floor, and no carpet! A laminate floor!!! No past pet smells!! So very clean and fresh... Indoor pool, hot tub, and fitness room. A free hot breakfast, waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy, sausage and bacon, al9ng with all the other standards. Highly recommend!
What more can I say? An unexpected oasis in the desert. Check in and check out was flawless. Very clean and spacious rooms. Hot breakfast with a great selection. We were there with family and they accomodated our room needs. The indoor pool was great. We didnt use the workout space. I would stay here again.
We have found this hotel to be always well-maintained and clean, and the breakfast is extraordinarily varied and nice. It's a regular stopover for us four times per year. The rooms are nicely furnished.
This hotel was very nice. The room was beautiful. Breakfast and internet very good. It is a wonderful alternative to staying overnight in Albuquerque as it is only 30 minutes or so east on I-40. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area and definitely look forward to staying there again.
One of the nicest cleanest hotel we have stayed in. the pool and spa wonderful. staff great and breakfast selection was unbelievable for fruits and those who are in need of special items .the cookies and coffee etc at night a special touch was really nice after a swim
Good curb appeal. Lobby and rooms were clean and modern. Pool and hot tub look fun and inviting. Breakfast was disappointing. Dehydrated eggs were unappealing. Mostly sure that was bacon and sausage in the chaffing dishes but I could be wrong. Coffee and juices were adequate. Great overall value.
We stay at a lot of Best Westerns. The front desk staff here were very nice and friendly. Our room was clean. Breakfast was excellent! Wifi was great also! We were glad we made reservations on the road because when we arrived there was a sign on the door that they were all booked! We had a couple of minor complaints. One is that all of the parking lot is not well lit! We could not find a happy in-between with the A/C in our room. It was either too hot or too cold and the shower head was just awful. But overall our stay was good and we would stay here again!
This is an older Best Western but is clean, quite,a short distance off 40 . The rooms have a coffee maker, larger frig,a desk with 2 chairs, nice sized rooms. The breakfast is above the standard of most. Eggs, sausage, gravy, biscuit , toast, The turn in is a little underlie at night, so watch for the turn lane. pricing is very competitive.Staff was cheerful and helpful.
You don't get pillow top mattresses at these low room prices but the beds were comfortable and clean. The room was also spotless and those two things are a priority for us. The heating and air conditioner unit did not have a digital readout which meant that your selections were either “High” or “Low”, therefore, the unit ran all night long, which was irritating. Additionally, there was no fan in bathroom but I'm finding that true of many hotels. I would like to end this review by saying that the room was very clean, the staff was friendly and it was close to the interstate which certainly outweighed those other slight irritations.
Nice motel. About 30 miles east of Albuquerque. Convenient to not only Albuquerque but also to Santa Fe without having to drive all the way into Albuquerque. Have stayed there many times with family. Clean, warm pool and hot tub. Always clean. Friendly, helpful staff.
My cousins and I were traveling from the Chicago area to Phoenix and made reservations at this hotel as a stop along the way. We had a small dog with us. We loved the wood vinyl plank flooring in the pet-friendly rooms. There was no pet odor and this seemed like a great idea. The rooms were very nice and comfortable and this was a good choice. We didn't have time to use the pool, but it looked great. Breakfast was wonderful and Marcia took great care of us in the breakfast room. It would have been nice if there was a grassy area for the pets, and a few more outlets on the lamps to plug in phones, etc. All in all we had a very pleasant stay
Enjoyed our stay. The rooms was large and the beds were comfortable, as were the pillows. The amenities were standard. Would lie to see move plug-ins for electronics. Many hotels are now including the plug-ins in the bedside lamps.
We stayed here mostly because it was the last of the hotels in town we had checked. Needed an accessible room, which we did not get here either because they were already taken and no other hotels in town had one that would work. The room was big enough and worked for what we needed. Clean, great breakfast and friendly desk clerks. Was able to walk to Taco Bell and Arby's which was right next door because we were too tired to go out. I was a little skeptical because everyone with a dog was on our end of the hall, but they were all quiet and it was fine. Would definitely recommend this place. Also, I did notice their pool had lift chairs for handicapped which is great if we had decided to use the pool or jacuzzi.
Nice property, but noisy. We had asked the check-in clerk for a room that was away from the busier spots within the hotel. We were assigned a room right next to the side entrance/exit. Every time a person walked through that door, the door creaked and then slammed. We had been on the road two very long days by this time and seriously needed a good night's sleep. We did not get it here. When i mentioned the door issue to the manager upon check out, she gave me the stinkeye. I didn't ask for compensation of any sort. I merely stated the door was noisy and needed maintenance. Breakfast is served until 9:00 a.m. Wi-fi is available here.
This motel is along the way from Arizona to Oklahoma. It is easy access off of I40 and easy on with very little highway noise. It is a nice clean place that has a great hot tub for relaxing after a long road trip. This is a great motel for such a small town. There is easy access to restaurants.
Just spent one night after searching Trip Advisor for the best hotel in Moriarity and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The room was nice and clean, TV and air conditioning worked good, the morning breakfast looked to be excellent with scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, etc., in effect, it was a good night sleep and the desk people were cooperative and nice. I would definitely stay here again.
We picked this location because it was out of the city, it was convenient to get off and on to the Interstate Highway and enroot to our way home. We were very pleased with the quality of the hotel, room, and staff. The room was very clean with modern décor. We checked in around 9:30p and out by 6:30a the following morning. The air-conditioner came on right away, cooled the room down immediately and all through the night. The night time and early morning front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. The Hot breakfast was very good and ready earlier, which worked out well for our early departure. We were wishing we could have checked in earlier and slept in a day!
BIG shout out to BRANDY! She smiled, was helpful and informative. Helpful young good looking guy at check out was very helpful. I appreciate attention to detail! This report is the first "10" I gave in my trip. I only stay at Best Western when I can and this one met ALL of my requirements and needs. Very pleased and will be back again. we stayed there in 2013 and I had it on my desirable list...yes, I do keep tract of all my stays. Thank you! Clean, spacious room, attention to detail, easy to find, good parking, local 'walk-to' restaurants. Thank you, again!!!
We pick this location because it was not in a city, and it was convenient to get off and on to the Interstate Highway. We were very pleased with the quality of the hotel, rooms, and staff. Rooms were very clean and modern décor. Staff was pleasant and helpful. The Hot breakfast was very good. We were wishing we could stay a day and use the pool etc.
Wow. What an attitude from everyone from the front desk to the maids. I travel and stay in hotels all the time, but haven't experienced the attitude of hotel employees like this in a long time. It's like they are doing YOU a favor for letting you stay there. Also the breakfast is inedible. The "eggs" aren't really eggs, and are cold and runny, and the sausage tastes like it's made from "parts". I'm sure it's a cost saving thing. More than anything, this staff desperately needs training in customer service. Won't stay again, and wouldn't recommend unless you like surly people at every level.
My stay went very well, was satisfied with service and price will stay again. My very first stay with Best Western. My wife was satisfied with service and is willing to stay again. One thing that they can do is open breakfast at an earlier time for those who choose to leave early.
We were very happy with the convenience, comfort, and appearance of this hotel. The room was clean and confortable. The breakfast was super. Access from the Interstate was easy. The clerk was very helpful with resolving a computer access problem.
Clean, neat, fresh! comfortable. TV with guide, and super reception! Internet available with easy connection. Easy to get to from Interstate 40 on Route 66 Helpful staff. Early morning breakfast was hot and ready. Very good selection, fresh fruit too.
Moriarty is a small town outside Albuquerque. There isn't much here but it was a nice stopping point. Luckily we had reservations because the hotel was sold out. Pool and hot tub were nice and there were plenty of towels. Queen beds were comfy and room was clean. The only real problems had was that I had to call the nightshift attendant to check out because nobody was at the front desk for at least 15-20 minutes. Anyone could have came in the building. Didn't stay for breakfast as we were on the road early. Would stay here again
Moriarty, New Mexico is a small town which does not have many options of hotel chains. This hotel was a gem in the middle of an empty space. It was a great location for us as a midway point. The facility was well maintained and complete. The room was comfortable.
I was pulling a trailer and needed parking , this Best Western has plenty . the only down side was the location of my room., first one inside the back door. the open and shutting was repetitive and noise .Staff was great.
We were travelling east along I-40 and wanted to stay east of Albuquerque so we wouldn't face morning rush hour traffic. I have stayed in several hotels on east side of Albuquerque and was not pleased. So I looked at reviews and this seemed the best in Moriarty. I arrived and the staff was pleasant and helpful. We found the room comfortable, clean and quiet. During our trip, we stayed at six different hotels. We rated this as second best. The best was more expensive, equal in room quality, but had supper, cocktails and few other amenities that this one didn't. I was pleased with the cost and will stay here again if we come through the area. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room. We had a handicapped room, that met my needs. There is a pool and hot tub. The breakfast was adequate with both hot and cold foods.
It is always nice to have a hot breakfast available, especially in a small town with not many food options. It is a very clean hotel and the pool and hot tub were nice too. Staff were helpful and friendly.
Very nice and clean hotel with very friendly and polite staff and great hot breakfast. Very nice place to stop on our trip with kids. Also really nice indoor pool and hot tub even though we didn't have time to really relax and enjoy.
BW Moriarty was fine for a nights stay. We had a clean and presentable room, and reception was helpful to the expected level. But overall it does constitute quite good value. Moriarty is a pretty ordinary town but it does suit rather than a larger town to just transit through.
Had a good stay experience. good amenities and service. No complaints. Breakfast was good. Location was also good. Not difficult in finding out. Overall experience was good, and refreshing. Keep up the standards always.
This hotel was about average for a Best Western. We experienced no problems during out stay. Breakfast was good. Internet was good. Room was clean. Bedding was clean. Pillows were not very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Nachos is a very good Mexican restaurant about a quarter mile away.
A great place to stay. Easy on and off I-40. Clean, up to date, great breakfast and a wonderful staff. I wish all BW hotels were like this one. Free USA Today newspaper in lobby, has a pool, clothes washer and dryer and a very friendly staff. Recommended a very good restaurant just down the road from the hotel
So Moriarty seems to be this little town on I-40 US-66 that exists to provide beds to road trippers. It's beautiful here in the high desert. It was 90-something when we arrived in the evening and it must have been 62 when we headed down for breakfast. So dry so beautiful. Last night was the night of the strawberry moon, when the full moon coincides with the summer solstice. Our stay at the BW has been very nice. Sometimes there's nothing like an open window. Today is one of them and this BW allows one to open them. Our room faces a back lot with trees. My wife is working on a speech at the desk. I'm doing some reservations for later in the trip. Breakfast was fine, well attended. All the staff have been helpful and attentive. All the mechanicals work. It's clean. What's not to like? Well a couple little gripes (but the opening window still gets this place 5 bubbles): Can't access the TV with your tablet, laptop, or phone. Nope. No fresh fruit at breakfast. Pool too small to actually swim lengths. Other than that, it's fine.
Everyone was helpful, courteous and close to I-40. The MDA room was very nice and their was handicapped parking right in front of the room. Made this easy for my mom and her companion. I recommend this place
This was a brilliant place to stay, really good standards of cleanliness throughout, with the rooms being well appointed, with all the niceties as well. Quiet and comfortable. The breakfast also, of good quality, it makes a pleasant change. Staff were courteous and helpful. Highly recommended.
Excellent Hotel, Clean Room, Air conditioner works, Internet fast. TV clear good selection of stations, Safe area of city , no problems at all. We stayed at this hotel two different nights with a week between stays. Requested same room for second stay, were given same room as requested.
overall ok staff very nice could use a better cleaning staff for rooms. price average however i paid a little more than normal for this location . didnt have time to use pool and hot tub but it looked nice. breakfast was good and dining area seemed clean
Whether traveling east or west on I40, a perfect place to hang your hat for the night! Super clean rooms and well-appointed common areas coupled with a helpful and friendly staff makes for a great night's stay. Oh, and they have a delicious and complete complimentary breakfast!
We were weary travelers looking for a nice clean, comfortable hotel and this Best Western fit the bill. The price was good too. The room was perfectly clean. There is a nice pool/hot tub but we didn't use it. The continental breakfast was a very complete breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, juices, hot coffee, bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, waffles ... I'd not hesitate to stay again. Thank you BW for a nice stay.
This Best Western is one of the nicest and cleanest we have stayed. We always stay at this hotel on our way to California. We would recommend this Best Western if you are in need for a clean safe room.
I am now a believer in Best Western Hotels and Inns!! My friends and I stayed at 2 different ones on our trip to Grand Canyon, this one in Moriarty and another on the way back in Albuquerque....both were very comfy sized rooms, very comfortable beds and pillows and a very nice staff! We sure appreciated them!
Personable staff, clean and pleasant rooms in western motif, well appointed with fridge and microwave. Easy in and out to rooms and plenty of parking to include large vehicles or trailers. The 1st place that ever asked me for a floor preference on check in. Pool and exercise room.
We don't usually stay at a Best Western but the choices in Moriarty were slim pickins! We were pleasantly surprised by the exceptionally friendly staff and very clean room. We weren't looking for luxury, just a place to sleep on our quick jaunt to a family crisis. I would recommend Best Western in Moriarty, NM without hesitation.
Clean rooms, comfortable bed, no noise issues, pool/hot tub was great, breakfast was good. No complaints. There was a pow-wow in Albuquerque which took away most rooms within our price range. This one, about 30 minutes before Albuquerque, fit our needs well. We visited the Petroglyph National Monument the next morning.
This Best Western was in the perfect location for our trip back east from AZ to the St. Louis area. We spent one night and arrived exhausted late at night. It's always nice to see a friendly face at the front desk and this was no exception. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was good. I recommend this place to anyone traveling along the road...
The motel was clean, comfortable. Would be better to have an easy chair in the room to have a better rest. There was only one straight chair in the room. It is not comfortable to have to sit on the beds. The Breakfast was excellent with good help from the employee.
The Moriarty New Mexico was a great place to stay. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. The only thing I would change is the shampoo . The front desk was very friendly and helpful with directions to attractions in the area.
Stopped here for one night at the end of a 6000+ mi trip to move our daughter. The hotel was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Easily accessible from the interstate but still very quiet. Booked online through the Trip Advisor app, very easy.
About 30 minutes from the Albuquerque crush, the Heritage is a good overnight stop for east or west bound travellers. There are limited dining options in Moriarty, but there are options and a grocery store is close by.
My husband and I were traveling home from Arizona and stopped at The Best Western. Although I thought the price of $89.99 was high because it was not a plus hotel we decided to stay because it rather late and did not have a reservation. The check in was great and breakfast outstanding even though it was not a plus hotel. Would definitely recommend.
The hotel is nice, clean, beds were pretty good. We travel with a large dog, so having a place to walk him is important to me. There really was no where except a patch of rocks /stones, which would have been fine except there were so many piles of dog droppings. I don't think the staff ever checks that area. Not that it should be thier responsibility, but for owners who don't pick up, it's thier establishment, so they probably should if they want people to come back. The breakfast is very good. Nice warm, soft biscuits, gravy, sausage, eggs, etc. Worth the stay in itself. Seriously, the only downer was not having a clean, grassy dog walking area.
This Hotel in Moriarty, New Mexico is very clean, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, the breakfast that is served in the mornings has a very good variety to choose from. I highly recommend this Hotel if you are coming by Moriarty, NM on I-40
I am usually a Country Inn n Suites follower - but this trip we have been following BW facilities. They all seem to be upgraded... New carpeting, new upholstery chairs, new clean coffee makers, excellent hot breakfast with servers who greet guests with a smile and helpful attitude, friendly desk persons. This hotel again surpassed my expectations. Very clean!!! Inviting lobby... Beautiful indoor pool n hot tub. A gem in this little city. Good work Best Western!! You may have converted me to a BW follower PS. The offer... Stay two nights and get a $25 coupon for future stays was a nice incentive. The desk person told us that a customer can stay the limit of 10 nights for a total of $125 in coupons if you stay before May 8, 2016. Nice deal for cross country road trip travelers.
Just stayed for one night but it was great. Traveling with my girlfriend so we spent the night at this hotel and everything went great. They were out of rooms with king size beds so we stayed in a room with 2 queen size beds that was the negative thing we experience. The room was very clean and quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Awesome hotel.
Stopped for night. Clean, nice rooms. Be very sleepable but I was 3 shades of exhausted. Breakfast was typical for chain. Hot, fresh, juices, coffee, waffle maker. Convenient to I40. Highly recommend.
Had and enjoyable stay at this motel. Pros....nice large room with a large bathroom.....wifi in room worked very good.....coffee at front desk was excellent.....room and bathroom were very clean. Cons....non a lot....have had more comfortable beds and the pillows were a little small.
It had been some time since staying at this location, nice room , but internet very slow even with their wireless. Bed ok,, not the newer thicker mattress. Clean room and heater good. Parking fine too. Rate some high for off season, esp compared to some other properties in area, but a Best Western member and wanted points. Breakfast usual, but good. Would stay again.
We were driving after dark and found this place on the internet. We didn't want to be wandering around after dark in ABQ, so we gave Moriarty a try. This motel was very easy access off I-40 and easy to find. I didn't agree with another reviewer's concern with finding the entrance since I had no problem. The rooms were very nice, very quiet with comfortable bed. There were many other amenities such as indoor pool and hot tub, weight room, washing machines, vending areas and ample stairways if you didn't want to use the elevator. Breakfast was hot and cooked. I would stay here again in a heartbeat (we go to SW Colorado often) and would recommend it to anyone. I sure beats struggling with Albuquerque traffic after dark!
Great last minute booking. You get a neat, clean room with comfortable beds and a full, hot and cold breakfast for what you pay. Service is great. We checked in late night and had no problems. They also have a heated indoor pool.
We have made two trips from Minnesota to Arizona and stayed at this hotel twice and we really like it. The rooms are clean, nice and not cramped. The breakfast is good. Not Wow, but good. We will stay here again!
Pet friendly room, first floor. Clean. No carpet in room. Very nice. Smells fresh. My only down was I was ready for cookies and they didn't have any. Being on the road for 10 hrs, we look forward to these little perks.
Very nice place, clean & quite rooms. Indoor heated pool & hot tub was nice for use in the winter. Parking is nice. Had microwave & small fridge in room. The free breakfast is nice if your into that. You can walk across the street to 7 Eleven if you need something. The only complaint I have is the TV. The picture was horrible and hard to see.
if they had a shuttle it would have been a excellent stay. this area does not have any taxi or any type of transportation to help get around to any of your stores in town. we were there for 3 days and in need of personal supplies and had no way to get them as we were driving a large truck.
This is a very nice place to stay and relax either before, or after, going through Albuquerque. The motel reflects a careful attention to detail, and our room felt as if it had just been renovated before our arrival. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. There is ample parking, and the motel is conveniently situated on Moriarty's main street close to gas stations and a great selection of local and fast food restaurants. The motel-provided breakfast offers something for everyone in a better than average dining area. The room price and the great staff make this one of our "regular" stops in this part of the country.
This is a nice small town stop about an hour from Albuquerque, NM. (Without the hassle of the city) Everything is well kept and clean. The staff is pleasant every time we stop here. A big plus is they boast an elevator! The very best part of the stop is there is parking in back that accommodates several large rigs /truck & trailers at one time.
The Best Western in Moriarty was a great place to stay, non smoking, super clean rooms, with amenities, super staff, and just a great place to stay. The hotel is also a great place to have breakfast, and super atmosphere to meet other people who share their terrific experiences staying at Best Western Hotels.
This hotel had clean rooms and a friendly staff. The breakfast was included in the price but it was just OK. The price was pretty good. It's right next to interstate 40. There are not many restaurants in Moriarty though.
Great, easy to find location. Wifi and printer available in the lobby. Nice Indoor pool and large clean rooms! I would recommend and would stay here again. Hotel staff was friendly and patient with all the guests. Breakfast was okay, normal hotel items like waffles, breads, and biscuits and gravy.
Not much to add here, Great service and staff, good breakfast. Property is probably due for an update but was very clean and well kept. Good value, Close enough for activities in Albuquerque. Small refrigerator was welome.
Good place with average sized hotels rooms--clean and comfortable. Walls a little thin--we could hear the next door neighbors urging on Denver Broncos to take the football away from the other team. Breakfast was slightly below average as there was not as wide a selection as other places.
THis is an excellent place to stay if your out on the road travelling on I-40. It is quite and a good place to relax and rest if you are going out on the road the next day. The breakfast is great also.
Nice big room. A suite for the four of us wasn't available but the room was large with a large bathroom. Worked great. Only complaint? was the air conditioner blew right on the closest bed occupants faces full force. We used a chair with a pillow in it to block the direct blast.
You're never sure when you stop in a city you don't know. We felt safe and comfortable. Price was fair. Hotel was clean which is our first concern. Town was small so we were delightfully surprised by the quality of the hotel.
As stated in the title, the hotel itself is nice, quite nice. the bed was quite comfortable, it was clean, the reception and lounge area was really nice (It made me wish I was there in winter with the fireplace and decor). Reception staff were friendly and helpful. The only reason I marked this hotel down and the most disappointing thing was breakfast. Breakfast was included in the room price and was supposed to finish at 9.30am. We were travelling with another party and there were 6 of us all together. We came in at a couple of minutes after 9am, several staff were sitting having breakfast. We went to get breakfast and there was hardly anything left in the hot buffet apart from a little scrambled egg. We didn't see any other staff except those having breakfast. I asked a table of two if more food would be coming out and was told no. There was some cereal and bread for toasting. Another couple and their daughter came in as well and they weren't impressed, they also asked if anything else was coming out as it was only ten past nine. they gave their daughter some cereal and they just had coffee. The others we were with got the last of the scrambled egg for their two young kids and we had coffee and juice. While sitting there a couple of others came in and left after looking what was on offer and the staff left and it was one of them who cleared down the buffet. So I wondered was it because they were on breakfast that nothing more came out. We ended up buying breakfast on the road - not something we wanted to do or even should have had to do really. Sure staff are entitled to breakfast but there should be enough for guests and replenished when there is still 30 mins left of breakfast.
